Speaker 1: Everyone's losing weight, Brody, I'm on that plan. You're on a plan. What do you? Everybody is trying to lose weight. It's that time of you when you need to remind people how to lose weight. Everyone's gotta diet. I was like, oh, what's the new diet? What's the hot diet? Right? The problem with diets is you don't eat what you want to eat. You eat bananas every day, or you eat you know, only vegetables or only meat, and then you that's not how people live. It's not normal. In the minute, you get a craving your diet shot. So what I did? I saw a commercial. Everybody saw the commercials for you know, exercise equipment, go to the gym right as soon as New Year has happened. I saw a commercial for Noon Right, go to noon dot com. So I went to Noon dot nom and double o M dot com and I'm like, what is this? And I there's a questionnaire asks you about you know, how told you are, what your goals are as far as weight loss, what kind of food you eat? What do you want to change about yourself? Here's what's different about Noon newm is about learning to develop a relationship with food, not just use it as uh to make you happy when you're down and you over eat. It's learning how to deal with it. And the thing about I like about NOON is it doesn't tell you what you can't eat. It teaches you how to eat moderation so that you don't binge, you don't like go without, you don't want to deprive yourself. Noon is different. NOOM teaches you how to change your habits about eating. And here's the best part that for me is that they give you nutritional experts that you can talk to on the phone in group chats. They'll come meet with you and they coach you and help you. So if you feel like you're struggling, you're having a uh maybe you uh you went crazy one weekend and you you went to a party, they will help you get back on track. The thing about NOON is it's different results with a different approach. You learn you don't diet because people diet, then like, I want to diet again. Yeah, it's a cycle. You're on a diet, you're on a diet. You're on a diet. This is about learning the secrets of living with food without overeating, without being unhealthy. So I'm starting the program now as you're hearing this. It's middle of January, and I'm gonna do it for I signed up for four months. Let's see how it goes. I'm excited about it. I'm looking at change my mind but also change my body. Let's be let's be serious now. If you want to meet your resolutions by signing up for your trial today, go to new dot com slash Brooklyn that we want the special vanity for the Brooklyn Boys. New dot com slash Brooklyn. That's n O O M dot com slash Brooklyn. What do you have to lose? Wait? Wait, I guess we just got fat the Brooklyns that it's been away. They will have so much to see. You know their names. I guess episode is podcast. Wait for ever and ever? Wow. Today's January two thousand nineteen. Happy birthday, Mommy. It's my mother Rosanne's birthday. And I do call her mommy, usually not to her face. I call her I use it as a pronoun. Did you called your mommy on the phone on the air today? If I'm I know, I know, I know that was me being cheesy. I call my mom mom. Okay, But here's the thing. If you're talking about her. See, that's the thing. You're an only child, and I don't want to get it the only child syndrome. But if you had other siblings to talk to, yeah, I would say mom, I would say mom. I would say, Mom, I'm talking to my father about my mother. I'd be like, hey, Mommy, get home yet. Or if I'm talking to my sister about my my father, I'd be like, hey, is daddy coming? That's what I would tell my sister because when you talk about them. But I would say if I had sibling, I know, I'm an only child. It's my fe know it's not your fault. But I would say I would say is dad home. I just wouldn't say daddy because I'm an adult. Well, I'm from Brooklyn, and aren't you from from the say yes, we check your check let me check the logo on the podcast boys, where are you from? Okay? So I don't think No, I don't think Brooklyn is a mommy thing. They also think it's an ethnic thing. I think Latina's doing and Italians. I think a lot of people from certain ethnicities will say, hey, is mommy is Oh? Spruceius walked in and he's giving me these blanks because you mentioned ethnic. I was talking about Latina's versus Italians. I'm not sorry, what about Latino's. Okay, hold on a second, now, listen, you're from the deep South, Okay's. Spruce's first appearance in ty nine comes with three minutes into the podcasting Spruce, listen to me when I called my mom enjoying that popcorn. That's a good popcorn. So anyway, asking the question, it's my it's my mother's birthday today, right, my birthday? Mom? So so if I said to my sister behind my mother's back because she's not in the room, Hey, Jennifer, my sister, did you call him? Which mommy a happy birthday? I think that's pretty normal. What do you think as opposed to sing mom um? I'm more familiar with ma or mom? I say, hey, would you do like a mom or path thing and do a mom? But but you'll call her mom? You call her call him mom? Yeah, I call my mother mom. Hey, Hey Mom, I say, what will you get hot tonight? Two thousands? Cameron? But no, my dad daddy? You call your dad daddy? Can you have any siblings? So what if you're not if he's not in the room and you want to ask a question about him, what would you say? WHOA, that's a good one, because this is weird. My mom used to get mad at us for saying this. We used to call we used to call all of us. We referred to my dad as my daddy, like we all had separate fathers. Well, that's scary. Say something that's scary. You know what you're thinking it. You know you're taking it when I'm trying to stick on, just for the record, my point, even though you're black, just so scary, doesn't think it all your siblings had the same parents. Correct, Yes, that's what I'm saying that too. But I'm I'm saying, is this you're agreeing with me that? So you just said daddy but not mommy and mommy. I did daddy and mommy go behind their backs? He just said that. He just did. You just say you do your mommy behind her back. I didn't say that. I said, do you're putting words in my mouth? Bro Listen, it's brought Listen. All I'm saying is that spruce. You came in. You proved my point. I have proved your point. He calls mama Okay, the podcast a stop with because people have it's not it's not a popcast on. Hold on, I gotta get the mesophonia jingle. Oh yeah that Why don't we don't? Yeah because Evan yeah seven not he gave us one star at that time because we were eating. By the way, there's a there's there's an a bunch of people now that have joined the ranks of A seventy seven on iTunes. I gotta say that's when people have a fear or they can't. It lit like chewing noises, make them real quick, real quick. Hold on, I want to just to deflect for a second. Instagram post from running mome MMI looks like running Home, but it's mom so freaking incredible. I started in episode zero in November and just finished episode sixty seven, and there's no sixty eight. Well there is now. I am sure to go through with drawls. You're all the best, probably Southern boy right there. I'm sure you have a ton of rants from the holiday break at David Roody looking forward to it all. Oh, I've got rants. I've got a ton of rants. So much happened to me with companies during the break with had elbow surgery. I had a little problem with the anesthes y'all just lying to me. I had I got free dessert, but I got a rant today. I got that's how long it's been even I got one. Let me tell you something, Brodie, he's furniture. You gotta rash, I gotta rock. Are you standing for a couple of minutes, Bruce, you split out? Man, listens, love you. There's something wrong with them right now. But furniture company, furniture delivery companies, they suck it all right, you're starting up with it ran already away or not yet? No, No, let's just come smooth it out. Let's just be. Let's just let's just uh. I get into the podcast awards because we're coming up in eight days. On eighteen is the I Heart Radio Podcast. We're gonna be flown out to Los Angeles. Voting is now closed, But thank you everyone who voted every day. We saw your tweets, you voted on the holidays, you voted on your days off before and and a couple of people said the same thing to me, I was voting every day. I know you were too. That the first day, the part that on the seventh when we came back to work. Thanks Spruce, I appreciate what I like. What episode of the podcast up to zero? You know he's started from the beginning, all right, So on the seventh I was used to my routine of going into the five browsers and voting five times each and then the five browsers. Isn't that a long island for all those Jewish neighborhoods? No, that's the five towns. God damn it. Okay, so I have to vote as the seventh anyway, thank you for voting. We don't know if we won. We we we hope we do. Now is it being being stream the award show? Yes it is. What do you guys nominated for Best Pastodcast? So you guys are funny? Well, well that's nice. That's what the listeners tell us. Nice. But I have a problem with the podcast awards. What's your problem with I have a problem, Spruce. I don't know. If you haven't you'll have an opinion on this. Um you might. Well you'll hear what my problem is, and you may. I'm out. Okay, So, um, we were scary and I will going to a corporate event number months back, and I said, what's the dress code, and he said to me, Brooklyn Industrial. That's right. Yeah, it became a bit. It's sort of like it's a hashtag with our listeners, Brooklyn Industrial. He couldn't explain it. He was like just sort of like you know, when you go to a warehouse party, it's like you're in Brooklyn and like, I'm like scary you would both come from Brooklyn. I don't know what industrial anyway, but that so I'm still trying to figure out what Brooklyn and dustrial. So and then C three p O. Our guy, Chris Peterson, he's one of the president's party, sends out an email with the itinerary and where to go, you know, the way the carpet is, and he says, can I Can I read it from his email? Yes, I want you to read it. Here. It says, uh for dress code off for the night of the awards. Here it is ready for this business casual slash, rock and roll chic. It's like Brooklyn Industrial. It's like the MTV Awards, me, the Golden Globes Awards, you know what it means for John Varbados. Yeah, so hold on, So I I googled rock and roll chic. Nothing comes up Google rock and roll? Who chiku? Yeah, Um, I did rock and roll band. Everybody's waiting. I searched for that. Um it's been a long time since I google rock and roll anyway, so nothing really comes up. I google imaged it. A couple of scruffy guys and leather jackets with a scarf come up. There's no like definitive like this is what rock and roll chic is. I'm gonna show you a rock and roll I got I assure you you can't show me rock and roll shake, dude. Rock and roll chic is a pair of washed out denn jeans, no with with maybe a T shirt and a blazer over it and a scarf, A lot of scarfs and so ours. It's l a man, it's like seven and don't have to wear black shoe boots. You can. But if you go to like a Kenneth Cole or John Varvados, they kind of get what rock and roll chic is. They exude rock and roll chic, you know. Yeah, But I don't think rock and roll chic is a thing. There's a couple of things I know, but it's a couple of articles. I just one of those things like, I know we're going to l A. It just seems like tacky to me. Rock and roll chic is like I want to be pretty. I want to be a rocker, but I want to be pretty Like you're a rocker, you're a rock guy, like I used to be a rock guy. Is that kind of like ghetto fabulous when they say ghetto fabulous, Yeah, like you want to be ghetto, but you want to be fabulous, right. I think rock and roll chic is like that because they don't want you rough around the edges at the end of the day. They want you tied up into a nice What about grunge? Pretty boy? Can I do that? Could do that? They're like a flannel but with like, uh, really tight seven jeans or something or like the problem is like ARMANI exchange pants. I don't know the Nirvana shirt. I don't have a problem with rock and reword rock and roll cheek in the invite because it's definitive to me. That is a style I have in my head. Can I do E D M casual? You can? Or okay, what about disco inferno? Can you do this? Um? No, no? But here's the problem. I do have it says slash business casual. Now does that mean dressed like slash from Guns and Roses? But but in a business way? Honestly, does it mean slash business? Here's the thing? Or is that a website? To me? Dress code dot com? Slash business casual? Business casual to me is the opposite of rock and roll chic. So they're really kind of putting you in a tailspin by saying because they're to me, they're too extreme rock and roll cheek. The opposite rock and roll cheek would be um dance punk or like or dance emo? Can we do dance emo? I would do that. I mean, let's just it's just, you know, how about I think he's I think he's just being silly. Now, yeah, thanks, I just rock and roll, like you want to be a rocker dressed like a rocker exactly, you know, like put on a ripped rock shirt and ripped jeans. Okay, some dirty boots with a buckle on the sand. And here's the thing, though, the word chic clean cleans it up a bit, so it doesn't make sure your hair looks good. I'm New York rock though I'm not l a sloppy. It didn't want sloppy, right, it's a different. It is a different, that's right. He's coast West coast, Okay. So then all right, so then you think about what Listen, remember the smoking jacket I wore that time. Yeah, I'll never forget that smoking jack. Smoking jacket exudes rock and roll, So it doesn't it exudes douche bag in a smoking jacket, a smoking jack. Let me tell you the most rock and roll you can get with a smoking jacket, and I mean it's in no disrespect. Is like Maroon five. That's like a band that's They're like a rock ish pop band that sounds like a style in of itself. But that's five, But that's not a rock like to me, like Metallica is a rock band, right Like Like, Okay, I think Panic at the Disco does rock and roll chic, well, I think Panic at the Disco doesn't do uh they do tight cheese, does the tight jeans thing, And I don't know if that's rock and roll chic. Panic. No, the Killers is too like new wave rock is And you said five is it? I'm just saying pretty boy rock like he's good looking with So so what are you gonna do? How are you gonna dress Brodie? I don't know, And are you gonna return the shirt after? No? I would never do that. By the way, what are the people we work with at the radio station. We did a jingle ball concert and uh, you know people keep the tags on their dresses and they return them, which I'm not a fan of that. That's wrong. You bring them back, you guys? Do you know somebody you know people who purposefully do that. They actually buy the stuff, they tucked the tag, and they wear it to the event and they just returned the next day because they couldn't steal it. Well, they don't want they don't really you know how some people are. I can't wear it more than one time, right, But that's theft. You're steal the one you sat of the clothing that half. Here's the thing. Here's the thing. I I understand the thought process behind wearing the cloth and keeping the tag returning it Like, I don't agree with it. It's stealing, but I understand how you can get away with it. One of the guys who works with us, right, dressed up really nicely for jingle Balls hundred jingle Ball in New York and he had on really fancy shoes, not Elvis. Nobody on the morning is right, like like shiny, glittery, you'd never wear them again shoes except if you're getting on stage of Mass Square. God are you talking about me? Ok? Dude, you haven't had shiny shoes on since like before the war, whatever that means. So I said to him, hey, man, those a nice shoes. Those must have been expensive and he says, yeah, they were like two something like that. I go, well, it's a big night. He goes, I'm gonna return him what. He takes his shoe off and he shows me the tag is still inside the shoe, like the it was in the you know, underneath. So so I said, um, that's a great idea, except you're not going to a carpeted event. You're going to an arena. The bottom of your shoes and gets scuffed up all night. And he looked at me and he went, oh ship ye mother Effer had to keep those two. He uses the entire country's box stores as wardrobes like that. It's like, hey, Bloomingdale's, you're gonna outfit me for the night. So he returned the jacket he was wearing. We don't know if it was Bloomingdales or not which way exactly. He returned the jacket, but he didn't think it through that. You can't return shoes. Now. I know you guys listening to the podcasting like I returned shoes. I know it's possible. Maybe you go to pay less or you go to you know, foot locker, and you're like, oh whatever when you're talking about shoes, unless you can say they were defective, you can't return shoes like that again, Like, but Nordstrom not what he bought them. Trust me, he was not able to return them. I wish I could do that with my boxer shorts. Hold on my first one. Don't tweet me, don't Yeah, people love it, don't tweet me, so so Spruce. This is how fanatical some people are. We have these slices for life that that a show, and this one slice she is probably a super slice. Okay, I love her name is Malia and she We posted this on the Brooken Boys facebook page, Instagram, and Twitter and of course Brodie's um Brodie's uh everywhere we tweeted it. Yeah. Malia Ballas wrote, Hey, there guys, such a huge fan of the Big Show and the Brooklyn Boys. I was catching up on episodes over the holidays. I don't know what episode it was in, but you guys talked about how the conversation topics of the Brooklyn Boys podcast are always all over the place. Yeah, I think I actually said that. I think you know it does nothing flows and it will look crazy if we mapped it out. Well, I'm a graphic designer and as a fan of the podcast, I wanted to test that out. So the best of my ability, I've mapped out of flow chart of conversation for episode sixty seven. Cool. So she's a twenty four years old, she doesn't have a Twitter council. She emailed us uh to the Brooklyn Boys podcast at gmail dot com and here Spruce is a Well, this is episode sixty seven in pictures in flow chart format. It's got circles and squares and arrows and dotted lines and finds and tigers and bears, everything that you know a flow chart to be. Picture our hour and a half podcast flow chart form. It's complicated too. It's not just it's not the it's just not like a rundown of things with playing the jingle. Argued about this, moved on to that for us. It's even like listeners were looking at it going, that's incredible. What a way to like, you know, it was us. We relived the podcast through like, oh my god, we're all over the place. Yeah, I love it. And then how all of a sudden you're you know where, we're six topics in and then all of a sudden, the dotted line goes back to the beginning because it was a call from something we talked about earlier in the podcast detailed. So we really we really have no definitive answer on Brooklyn chic, which means I'm going as dress casual as as a business casual. Okay, go as no industrial. I still haven't figured out dress a business casual yet. Okay, was that like a dress shirt no tie? Yeah? I think it's a dress shirt. Maybe a nice jacket and jeans. Yeah, I feel right now. But don't talk, in don't talk. I never talk. No, no rock and roll chic never talk. Okay, that's what kind of rock and roll guy talks, unless you're you're a transvestite or that's what I was talking. Uns. You want a T shirt and you tuck it in with a belt, Now you're fucking chic. Man, you're making a statement. Um, yeah, okay, I don't think Aarl Smith would go to John Varvados like that's a rock band. It's pretty dope. By the way. You know what we're gonna go see Saturday Night? Were Saturday Night. We're gonna go see the I heart Radio Alter Alter Ego, Alter Ego, a rock show at the Forum in l A. Can't wait for that. I want to see, among other things, muse. Yeah, well I've seen Weezer. They're good. Uh, Toy one Pilot is gonna be there. It's a huge show. Another I heart Big Spectacular. But I'm gonna look up you see how they dress. I'm gonna dress like mus see to that. I'm going like Deaf Leppard. I'm gonna put a long haired wig on and shredded eighties jeans. Yeah, rock and roll cheek from the eighties. Question for you? Yeah? Um, tom My, feelings so great, right, I mean, I feel okay. I just I ate raw mushrooms. They were they were no, no, they were Portobella slice mushrooms. I took him right out of the package and I just hate them. Now, why I didn't wash them? Is that a problem? Didn't wash them, that's the problem. I don't think it's problem because they were organic. Number two, I read that Doctor Well, actually, I saw on an episode of Doctor Oz that things that come from the ground, like things that are dirt, you're supposed to actually consume some dirt because it's good for the system. So you don't think so, I don't think so. Doctor Oz was just messing with you. Yeah, I saw it on TV. Oh, then it has to be true. They said, somebody's supposed to you pull your carrots out of the ground and you start eating them, just wipe the dirt off and or you know who's not gonna do that? Me? Yeah, and I don't know that. Maybe I should have washed them. Yeah, you know what, when was the last time you saw a nine year old goat go to do that. I'm not doing it. I'm not doing it all right right now, someone's going, oh no, I've researched show When You Live to nine. I just felt that what's going on now? He's eating healthy right now, it's the new year. He's eating healthy, he's drinking water. Look different. I just would have washed it off. I just you know, all and salary now, Brodie, I don't normally rant you're gonna go first, Well you're gonna go second, third, fourth, and fifth. So I just brody, you can't keep the guy happy. And when you've been off, let's start to thank you. Bro give me something positive. I want to talk about. Peter Luger Steakhouse. Can't be can't be anything. The Peter Lugar Steakhouse is one of New York's finest steakhouse. By the way, this is not a spot. Not a spot. By the way, you can take me there for dinner, Okay. So I was trying to make reservations. My wife and my birthdays are four days apart. My wife birthday and mind or four days apart, and so we usually have dinner in the middle. We pick a night in the middle. So she said, let's go to Peter Lugers. Will take the kids, will go to Peter Lugers. Will you know, pick a night. You pick the Saturday between our birthdays. So Peter Luger has a couple of locations in New York. We're like, let's go to the one in Brooklyn. That's the original one, right, old school waiters. It's it's has that vibe like nineteen forties and just old school steakhouse, one of the best. So I call they open it like eleven o'clock, they close it ten o'clock. I call the first day a couple of times. The line's busy, right like just immediately, like okay, wow, they still have busy signals they have. It's calling a business. Okay. So the next day I call different times, busy, busy, busy. Now I'm calling like every half hour, busy, busy, busy, open to close, open to close. I call for four or five days, every day, open to close. It's busy. And then the minute they're not closed, I mean the minutes are closed. I get there, just the rings, there's no no chance of a message. So I'm thinking they're so busy. They take the phone off the hook, dead on the ball, like data, there's no one answered the phone, and they just take it off the hook. I'm like, how can I make a reservation. There's no website, there's no social media, there's no way like you go on the website, make reservation, open table. So I call the corporate office first off. First, at first they have a corporate office. What's corporate about a steakhouse that hold on because it's a company that owns, you know, different restaurants, different divisions that come. I'll get to why there's a corporate office. I call their their other location in Long Island, New York. I say, hey, is there a problem with the phone in your Brooklyn location because they're not answering the phone and the woe. The woman says, yeah, they never answered the phone there. It's it's impossible that you can't get touch with them as well. Can you take my reservation put it in the system? Is it SYNCD up? No? Not SYNCD up. Can't do it now? Have you seen the reservation but Peter Lucas in Brooklyn, it's all done by hand and pencil. Yeah, they can erase like a physical reservation book from like that you would see before the times. It looks like the biggest phone book ever. Then they flop over the page. Is they go boo boom. Yeah, there's no computers alright, So she tells me call the corporate office. Yeah, cash only only, and then the a t M s in the area like a hundred bucks. If you want to get money out, they know the Peter Lugas card. You have the Peter Luga card, then you're in all right, you have a Luger card. I'm telling lu So. I call the corporate office and I get that message, that lie of a message. We're gonna play next episode if I remember the one that says, please listen to all menu options as our options have changed. I've said this before. That's bullshit. They don't want you to hit zero, so they lie to you. No company changes their message as every three months. They don't change their numbers. They don't change there to go. Please listen to all the options as No. Fuck you, you're lying, you're lying. Don't lie to me. The menus has changed recently, No, one hasn't. Two is always blah blah blah. Three is always B. Zero is usually the operator. What are they taken off that? When you call a company, they go a menu options have changed? What have you changed? What have you changed? Zero is still operator? Nine? Is O right or whatever it was? Don't change it. You want to add something and something, but don't change it. And it's never what you want. It's never the one thing you want. It's like you're calling for for carrots, they go for broccoli, push one for asparagus, pushed to like for orange squash, You're like, oh, it's so close to carrots, and then you don't have carrots. For nine, Press for new Rudabaker Press nine, You're like, none of them a carrots? What do I tell about? For one? Press for for store hours press one. It's like, you idiots, Why would that be the number one option when I could have looked that up. That's that's the number one thing, right, because they're like they trying to keep you from having answering the phone if anything they can right for directions, pushed two. Listen. It's like every company that I go to online, the contact us button is always at the fucking bottom in tiny little and it doesn't give you the phone number. It gives you, like to advertise, email this person right for complaints about the op ed page. You gotta get seventyes in before you get a phone number. How long does that take? How long are you that process going on? Anyway? This was this was not customer service forward, by the way. So I went zero through nine with no options, right, So I'm like, you know what, none of these options are helping me. I think this is a positive. It is a positive. I'm just not hold on. So now I start hitting the other vegetables, right, So I hit one. Doesn't help. I had to. I hit three, and I'm like that, right you going through FABI exten no manager right, like it writes, every option is not what I want. For group events, Press seven right for groups, lodge for groups lodges president. So finally I get to um uh nine, right, yeah, press nine to be told you're wasting your time. Okay, So I pressed nine and I get uh oh, it says for real estate inquiries, Press one for commercial of real estate inquiries. Right. So, because the company owns Peter Luger owns real estate companies itself, like land and whatever else I would igine they do, at this point, they pretty much the whole block. So I start like pushing buttons at random and a guy answers the phone. Turns out his name is Tom. He's so. He says, well, this isn't the right department. I said, look, I know it's on the right department. Here's the deal, and I get I give them the whole story I just gave you, guys. He says, I'm terribly sorry. He says, look, I work in in real estate and accounting and whatever the department he was in and he says, uh, you know it's not really what we don't really, I don't work for Peter Luger. I work for the parent company. He says, But um, what we're looking to do? You want a reservation? What day did you want? Give me the resident the day and goes give me your name and number. Let me see what I can do. I'll make some calls like all right, but the line is always busy. He goes, all right, look, I want you to be happy. We're all part of the same company, even though it's not the company division. And he's got the real phone number. Well he may have like the hotline you've been given the front Anyway, he took my information down. Tom calls me the next day and he says, I got a couple of times available for that night. I'm sure they're good people. They're great people. We're recording this at one, you know what, right down the number and we'll just well, we'll call it later in the podcast. We'll all right, we'll try, we'll bring it back now. We're gonna give it to me agin By the way, when you listen to this, you have a call ye buy from the Department of Why do people do the things that they do? I was getting on my elevator this morning. There is still people that do deliver newspapers. There was a newspaper guy and he's delivering two different floors of my apartment building. So I press three because that's the floor. I need to get out on to get my car, and it's lit up red. You want to give your address while we're circle. It's a circular button right with the red lit up thing that says three, and uh, I get in. He gets into the next floor. If this motherfucker pushes I'm going to flip out. I'm telling you right now, the doors close. He sees the three lit up, he presses three, but he presses it violently. Him. Why do you do that? First of all, the floor of the are you doing that? The fucking elevator button is already pressed, It's clearly lit up. It's not gonna go any faster. People, And it's not a door close button pushing the floor button, but the fucking floor button. I hate this guy already. Why I'll call to your building right now and fucking wait on the elevate he he I'm not gonna go down the road of the Chinese restaurant, but I will tell you he did look like he was from a different descent. He looks from a different descent, different descent. Hold on, you're on an elevator, you're bout the centing the same way. I'm sorry. Ethnically, he looked like he wasn't he he wasn't white, but he do with the button he's he may have not understood English, however, three is three is three and the buttons lit up. You have the song from having a que I don't have the full do I? I may have? Which one? You know? Which one? I don't understand? Scary? What does that have to do with the story that the guy isn't Caucasian like you are? The point is, the point is he's an asshole and push the button. He's an asshole that push the button. Who says it's not a language barrier, no matter what it was, My point is, it's not a language barrier. It's sucking the light. It's a light that's you don't think because he may or may not be Asian, he doesn't see lights. Further prove my point that a circular light around the number three is a universal fucking simple So he had no excuses that point, What does his ethnicity have to do whether or not he was born in America? I would recognize a light around us was taking down this road. I'm not you know, you're not making any sense. I'm not making sense. Yes, you're telling If you had said to me he was a Japanese tourist. He didn't speak in English, right, and he still would have no excuse. I'm thinking, did he speak? Did you hear the man speak? My point is it doesn't matter, It doesn't matter, but you have made it matter what you brought it out of highlighting the fact, highlighting with red around him. Are you making a red circle around your neighbor? What I'm trying to explain? Yeah, go ahead, Okay, ducking guy, no matter who, no matter what we're talking about, no matter who it is, was his name, fucking guy, there's not you're making jokes now, Yeah, I'm not. I'm playing it. I'm being honest. I'm playing it straight. Okay, it could be anybody. It doesn't may it could be anybody. Okay. And the point, you know there's Caucasian people that don't speak English right from other countries. Yes, what I'm saying is this, dude, I didn't understand. How do you not understand what I'm saying? You can't anything. You'll go out to the elevator bank in any office USA, and you stand there right with this up and the down button. Half the people want to go down. Push the fucking up button right, because they're ignorant, they're still before. They can't read what I'm saying. No, wait, let me finish what I'm saying. They don't realize there's two buttons for a reason, so they pushed the top button because it's closer to their hands. And then then the elevator that's on its way up stops on that floor, and then they go, oh, you're going up. Oh sorry, I'm waiting for elevate to go down. You gotta push the down button. But let's say they do clearly to any elevator bank, push the button for down and stand there. The next person that comes into the elevator bank area is gonna see you standing there and push the button. And they do that. You know what, I go, You didn't trust me? You any thing I pushed in a don't know if you were just you know, hanging out. Oh yeah, because the elevator bank is party city and that's where I want to hang out instead of going to lunch. I'm gonna stand by the elevators and not push the button. What if you're waiting for somebody that's great, pushed the buttons lit up. It's look, that's what I'm saying the buttons lit. It's a lot everyone understands, try and go up and try and go down. So back to my pepper. By the way, I know they have two sides that technically not trying. Don't tweet. Back to my point ahead. It wasn't like it was a language barrier. That could have been because it was written. It was. It was something that was written. Okay, okay, okay, okay. Let's say, okay, let's say. Let's say buttons on an elevator. Let's let's see you wait for an elevator and it doesn't have arrows and it just says up and down. I can understand. But the up buttons, the top button, maybe the next to each other. But point nowhere in the world is the up and down button left and right? And if you know a building, don't tweet me. Listen, let me explain something to you what you just did. You you said it doesn't matter what the person looks like where they're from. It's universal, right, Yet you pointed it out right, you're saying it doesn't matter. He was Let's say, you're implying he was Asian. You're saying it doesn't matter he was Asian, he still should understood. But as I'm just saying for the sake of story. Let's say you were implying he was Asian, right, he was non white? Where he was not American Brooklyn looking to you, Okay, he didn't look like he was from Brooklyn. He looked like a different descent, is what you was saying. Let's say that's the case. If your theory is it shouldn't matter where he's from because up is up and down is down and at a light around the three shouldn't matter to anyone on the planet. Right, then you don't need to mention he's in different descent because it's irrelevant. I mentioned it to highlight it. I mentioned it because to me it even if he had, he might have had a language barrier. There's no excuse in the world none to hit the button again. It's lit up already. Okay. Why is it you think if a person looks different than you, they have to have a different language than you. Brody, go to Switzerland. They speak four languages, are all white and blonde. The point is the guy hit the red button and because he's an asshole. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, we agree. We're on the same page on this. Okay, but here's what gets me even more upset, because it happens in this building all the time. Oh, any office building. That guy hit three because maybe for a split second you were in the elevat already going down. Right, for a split second, he didn't know where you were going, right, Okay, okay, we work in this building on the third floor. Right, if you're going down, there's only two options, two and L. Right if you get on it too, which many of our co workers work on the second floor, and the elevator is going down, you don't have to push anything. You don't have a choice already going down, it's only going to the one option. Yet every son of a pitch on two gets on the pushes the L even though it's lit up already. Why do you think I'm writing the elevated to two choosing not to get off and waiting for you to tell me where you'd like to go. I might want to go back up, and if I do, you fucked me by pushing out. What are you doing pushing out? Getting on too? You're on too? So yeah, I'm with you on that. That's your rant. It's not my rant. My rant is not not. I think it's your turn. I think it's your turn, because I'm gonna get fucking crazy about this furniture delivery company. Where do you get what they fucking did, Brodie, They took my eighty dollars. You're you're a sucker. I gotta calm down, all right, to calm down. Another obvious thing, though, I will say, Yeah, my mother, My mommy does this to me. I don't know why she does this. She asks dumb questions. She'll call me, she'll call my landline. She's like, I'm like hello, she's hey your home, um Ma, they're called my house. Or she'll be like, hey, Anthony, are you sleeping? I answered the phone. So obviously I'm not right right, she's not thinking right, she's not thinking. So. My mom kind of has this this. She's almost as bad, I hate to say it. She's almost as bad as the elevator pressing the button that's already lit up. Guy, by the way, Spruce has gone in case winning way. He's being so quiet. He got a call, he had to go, so all right, left so we can talk about him now, No, you you've you've And I don't want to insult my mom. On her birthday, no less, but she kind of falls under that umbrella of why would she call me? And the first thing she says is your home you called my home line or hey Anthony, Hey you're sleeping? It calls myself, you're sleeping. I don't know. I answered the phone. She means, why are you sleeping? Did I wake you up? Is this why? Why does she explicit think that I'm sleeping every hour in the day. I don't know. Maybe it's just a crutch. I don't Uh you know what. Let me tell you about Can I tell about Hello Kitty, Hello Kitty, Hello Kitty. That's the jump on that. Yeah, I'm at a department store and I'm getting rung up by by this young lady who's I'm not looking to offend anybody. I'm just giving you my opinion. Uh so here we go. She has a very low cut shirt. Okay, you probably can see about seventy of her very large breasts, and you know she's working on the register. You're trying not to look down. You don't want people to stare at your boobs, right, it's rude. But of the seventy of her breast that's showing from the edge of her shirt, mostly all the way up to where the boob starts. She's got a giant Hello Kitty tattoo on her right boob, to which I have called it Hello Titty. Now, if you don't have that, yeah, I understand that, but she actually had a Hello Titty. I'm gonna file this under I don't get it. Look, if you have a situation like this on your body, I'm not looking to offend. I just I don't get it. I love tattoos, not on the not a Hello hot okay, hell the first well, Hello Kitty, in my mind is like a children's cartoon thing. I know adults have adopted it. I get it, but it's a it's a youthful preteen little purses and the whole thing. I don't feel like a cartoon character taken up like a like. I don't want Calvin and Hobbes on your tube boobs. I don't want to be in that area and have Hello Kitty staring back at me. I feel like the breast is so perfect you shouldn't mess with it. I feel like you put your tattoos on your arm, on your collar bone, on your hip, wherever you want. Right it's not my thing. But you do what you want to do. What a giant you got. You don't blame a guy or a woman for looking at your boob when you have a nine inch giant Hello Kitty. It was like eight inches by let's say four inches a large breast, the biggest, Hello Kitty. It could have been a stuffed animal, that's how big it was. I had to say it. But this is where you become your your own father, my father opinions where you're acting like a dad. Now, I don't like it, Dad. I'm not like a guy that doesn't want it, doesn't want to kiss, Hello Kitty. That's why I'm acting like I'm not like my dad. So you would be okay. If a girl had a giant the whole breast was a cartoon, Yeah, like Betty Boop, Betty boob, Betty Bob, Betty boob, and it said like boom boo b boo boo boo boo. I think that's cute. I think that's sex. I think it's a funny T shirt. Yeah. By the way, when that girl is fifty, you don't think she's be like, Hello, Katy's gonna be drooping. We can't think about it when she's fifty. You gotta just take it in context. I don't you know. I don't know. If you google image hello Titty t shirt, I will tell I will give them credit. The cartoon character with the eyes look like boobs. Google Hello titty t shirt and you might want to buy it because it's very funny. They've been around for years. But honestly having it as a tattoo, I don't have a problem with it or anything cartoon ish. People have cartoon tattoos all over their body. I didn't say on their body. I'm saying your whole giant breast. It was just distracting and like if she's not married, like I think that like it might throw people off. I think it might like cost you a date. And I know, look, if you meet a guy he doesn't into it, not into you, that's great, that into you. You know, I do also be into Scooby scooby boob. What about like SpongeBob square boob, right, what I don't know, like a breast, like a breast, pineapple breast. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. I just I don't know. Maybe I'd go for augmentation, maybe a target logo around the nipple. Well, I'm a big fan of this. The you know, why not let people do what they want to their bodies. It's art. I call it art. Listen. I'm not I'm not telling her not to do that. It's her body. I'm saying it. Confused me. I don't get it. What don't you get It's a it's a print of a cartoon. But if you like Hello Kitty that much by a shirt, you know what I mean. Put it on your arm, put on your calf. I think it's cute. I usually stand right next to your brother, but not. I'm just saying that. It was just two. It was Hello Titty, and like if you don't want to, I guess you want people looking right. I mean that's you can't you can't say she got it herself. Otherwise the kitty would be upside down. So when she looked down, she'd see it right set up. If it's right, set up, it's for people look at. It was over her, but she could be Hello ship if I said to her, that's right. And if it was over Vagina, Hello sliddy. Listen if I said to her nice tattoo, Hello cltie. I don't want to go that. Why did why not? No? No, hello, hello, hello Clintie is right? Yeah? Okay. So now if I said to her, if I said to her, hey, that's a nice tattoo. If I say it like that, not like hey, it's a nice tattoo. If I say, oh, hello, Kitty, I might you know, like, hell, that's good, that's great, that's fine. Right, that's okay, Because now I've admitted that I'm looking down at her low cut shirt. I don't know that that that's where you get into the gray area. No, no, the gray area was somewhere else. She had pants on the gray area. Um, can I talk about the Property Brothers for saying that's what you wanted? I don't know. It's not about the property. You have just asked a dumb question. Property brothers, by the way, weren't they part of our Brooklyn Boys concert live? Was that the Property Brothers? No, that was a billion dollar listing. Are you a property real estate racist? You can't tell, my pot. They're both the same. They both do the same thing, though, right, property brothers or Okay, I don't want to Okay, what about him? Okay, so you have like you're on the street Let's say you're on like, um, Johnson Avenue and you stop somebody to go, excuse me, what is Johnson Avenue? And they go right over here, oh hi, thanks, right, or you like you pick someone who cleanlans't know what Johnson Avenue is and you're right on Johnson Avenue and they're like, oh, I don't know what? Right? You just funk with people. So I go into this furniture store. New French store opens up not far from my house. Huge French store. I'd never heard of the brand before, but big French store. And when you walk in, I would say about twenty ft into the store is a giant I would say fifteen ft like twenty ft wide Property Brothers poster. They are official spokespeople of this furniture store or whatever, and it said something like your chance to meet them, enter a contest. Whatever it was. It was a massive Property Brother poster. So I walk in and the you know there's you know the furniture stores. They hawk you when you walk in. They circle like vultures, like four or five of them by the front and they see you like pull up in the parking lot and they go, who's up at Europe? Go get them and you walk in like they're on you. Right, You can't walk into a furniture store and walk seven feet without them going, what are you looking for? Can help you? You watch next time you go any of them that you you look in the window and you see them circling because they probably were they work on commission, so that you know they want to get you and I just want to look around you anything, And then I've had this. My wife's had this too. You go to furnitishtores, they follow you like secret agents. Like they'll be thirty ft away and you look and they turn away like they were looking. They want to be there if you need them, Like if you sit down on a couch, they'll come over. They'll be like, hey, just you know that couches often it's uh, you're thing Polly Anti staining, blah blah blah blah blah. They want to get you if you have any questions, because they don't want to lose you. If they give you into my couch, they want to get you. They want to commission, so they're like they'll duck behind a wall. They'll act like they're dusting, but they're watching you. Right, So my wife went up to one of them its Property Brothers. My wife wouldn't walk turned around, walk right up to the woman and was like, listen, I don't need you following me. It's kind of creepy. If I need you'll find you. You gave me your name. Leave it at that. The woman was like, what, yeah, my wife doesn't take ship. I want to be followed, So all right. So I walk in the store and I guess this woman was up her turn. She comes right at me. Hi, can I help you? Is there something particularly looking for? And I said, oh, yeah, yeah, as a matter of fact, redoing the house and I'm looking for a Florida ceiling Property Brothers poster. Do you know where I might find one? And she looked. Now, keep in mind it's five ft behind her, and she says, ah, this is an unusual request. You know what, We've only been opened for for four days now. We had the grand opening this weekend, and you know, I'm not familiar with all of our you know what we have here, but um, you want to post we have we have wall coverings, Property Brothers. I'm not familiar with the Property Brothers. Can you be more specific? Yeah, it's blue I'm looking for something like with blue in it, maybe like their pictures the property brothers on the picture, maybe like a sweepstakes giveaway like and she's like, you know, I don't think we have that, but if you want something blue for the wall, I can show you something. So I go, you know what, maybe this will help. I want something looks like that poster. And she turns around. She goes, huh, yeah, I'm not sure if that one's for sale. Let me I'll talk to the manager. I'll let me go ask. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. The proper response is, oh, you're funny. You know what can I help you with? She didn't even know there was a giant poster behind her. Listen, some people are not aware of their surroundings. Yeah, clearly, yeah she blind. No, I'm just saying no, no. But if I was on elevator with this, you probably hit the three again. Yeah, definitely. So my point is going to a store and ask for something obvious, like going to Target and go can you know or someplace said like an help you, Yeah, I'm looking for a rack that holds clothing. I just funk with him. Sure, don't be rude, but Yeah. I had this woman going for like three or four minutes about the Property Brothers poster that was right behind her. Nice, don't share that. That's my little little fun for the for the break. No arguing, no yelling. I needed an end table. I ended up I ended up buying an end table. Here's little tidbit for you, way fair. Ye. That a little shopping tip from from the man who's putting the book together. By the way, I spoke to my um my uh my literary agent yesterday for the Brody book. Yeah, I got it all. It's all in the pipeline. We can have a meeting tomorrow. I have another conference called tomorrow. I had to put it. I had a right page one, smid page one to her. So we're getting there. We're just taking it slow anyway. There we start with one right, so way fair, way fair, we got just what you need. Right. Here's little tidbit. Almost every furniture store, Ashley Home Furniture, Raymourd Flannagan, right, they don't make the furniture, They just sell the furniture. So you go into Ashley Home Furniture, which I've done many times, and you want to buy like the Durango brown couch. You look at it, you see the name. When you can get the skew, you get a bunch of numbers and then you can go buy it somewhere Google Drango couch and you find it. But like five dollars less. I've done that several times. Uh yeah, No, I would never buy retail right you could, like there's always some website that has it. Now you don't get six months no financing like the because the stores can do that. Why because they up charged you five dreds so now they don't Now they don't need to charge you uh you know, uh interest because they just made five hundred bucks on that couch. So wayfair wayfair is like that they got just what you need because they're just showing you links to other ship that everyone else sells. So I wanted a blue end table. By the way, you can't find a blue end table with a door in a drawer every other color on the planet. You can't find a navy end table. Please that, trust me doesn't exist. Don't send me one with a shelf. I don't want open. I wanted storage. I know, alright, good already, uh teal it's more green than teal, which is kind of a bullshit. That's a scam when they're like it's like, oh teal, or they'll go like aquamarine blue. It's fucking green, okay. The boxer rye had a green sticker on it and the and the thing is like greenish blue. All right. So Wayfair. So I search for the thing I want to see if it's cheaper anywhere else. I find it on another website. It's thirty two dollars less on another website, a website called burch Lane. So I called burch Lane to order the same thing. They've got free shipping right, same as Wayfair, same item, same as Wayfair. I call burch Lane. Hi, Wayfair can help you, Uh, burch Lane, Yeah, this is Wayfair. Burch Lane is one of us subsidiaries. They've got three companies that sell furniture. And what they do is they have it's a higher end looking website. It's the same furniture. Some of the items are cheaper, some of the items are more money. It's the same company. I got the same woman to help me buy the same piece of furniture, but I got it from Birch Lane for thirty two dollars less than the way Fair price. Wayfair, you're paying for the commercials is what you're paying for. That's exactly what you're paying for. So I had a coupon for Wayfair, which came in the mail the next day after I bought my Birch Lane product. I called him back up. I said, I have a way Fair uh coupon and I use it on the on the on the Birch Lane. No you can't. But even though it's the same company in their subsidiaries. Well, well here's what I Hear's what I did. The coupon for Wayfair off the thirty two dollars whatever it was, made it less than what I paid at burch Lane. So they just adjusted the price, gave me the coupon off the more expensive Wayfair, and ended up making pains. The point is, before you buy furniture, google it absolutely as and Wayfair commercials and I say, great custom service, you're very pleasant on the phone. It came, it came beautifully packed only a few days later. Are places that make their own furniture like Ikea, Ikea stuff. Oh you make your own furniture, yes, if you're again flogging they make their own would right, But what I'm saying is I kea is when you buy something, you're not gonna find that piece anywhere else. Look fancy small furniture coup like Rigazzi. I bought furniture from my kids from Rogazzi Furnture very well made a time furniture. The store didn't sell it. But if you go to the Rigazzi warehouse, they get you certain things that are made by the companies, but a lot. But for the most part, these furniture warehouses Carolinas, they just all they do is carry other furniture. But they want you to think that they make it in the house and that you can't go anywhere else for that. Right now, they may have an exclusive that somebody made for them, but mostly it's available somewhere else now. I actually, oh, by the way, one more thing. I'm sorry. Beds do the same thing, but beds fuck you. When you go to buy a bed, you get sucked on it. Right. Let's let's say let's say you buy us Sears Matt that Sears Asserta or right, okay, Shirley Postopedic. If you go into one betting store and you're like, oh, I like the posturepedic Airflow. If you go to price match that airflow, no other store carries the air flow. You know why because the betting companies make it with a different label for every store, so you can't comparison shop even though the air Max, like the Airflow might be the same as the Posture forty seven. Right, you're like, it's the same bed, but the prices are different, or the stripe it's black instead of gold. It's the same bed. If the betting guys honestly, you'll tell you it's the same. And if you go to you go to Sears and you buy the uh, the Comfort Max, it's the same as the air Flow, right, But you don't know that, so you're like, which is better? You don't know. They have different lines, Like there's a blue line, a black line, and you can like, is the black line three as good as the red line three? Is the black four? And you know what they find out is like the black level four maybe the same as the blue three. Sure, you can't buy a bed unless you go to a place that knows what and they're honest with you, because furniture and beds they fuck you, They fuck you. And I think I have a rant about a French store. Anyway, you're gonna say something. I'm just about furniture. The floats hard for this show. It's gonna be a bit furniture delivery. Okay. I got a TV delivered by a furniture delivery company. Okay, I'm gonna call him out right up front. No no, no, no no, tell a story first and then send boom with the company. No no, no no. I don't know the guy's name. Okay, but you would not have stand stood for this. I got eighty dollars, alright, eight dollars I paid for delivery of this TV. Okay, you paid eighty dollars delivered television. It was that was a delivery fee. It was being transfer. It was trans that delivery from whatever part of the country. And they landed in the Piscataway off of Hercules Delivery, Hercules Furniture, their world, Hercules, Hercules, Hercules. Let me tell you. I decided to take shipment of this this TV on one day we were off. It was a Wednesday morning, and uh, the TV decides that the guy calls and goes, hey, man, I'm here. I'm like, oh, you're here. Where are you? He's like, well, I got a big truck, and you're you're located on this location of this address, and and they were doing construction on my lobby. So all I asked the guy to do was pull around. And by the way, I left these in the notes, I left it an email. I left it on the phone ahead of time. But yet the guy still called me and still, you know, trying to figure out where I was exactly. That's because dispatch of people don't give the information. They don't write. So the delivery guy calls my cell phone and I'm okay with repeating myself a couple of hundred times, and I said, look, I said, I'm upstairs in the middle of something right now. Uh, leave it with my doorman. I live in a doorman building, and my doorman's job is to take shipment of deliveries and sign for them. Okay, I said, but instead of leaving it off my lobby. The entrance is around the corner. You'll see the two double doors the relation Harry Potter, that's dumble door, and you will see the drunks to my company the entest of my my my house right there. Okay, great, just bring the TV in, no problem, hees, Oh no, I can't do that. I said, what do you mean? He goes, well, moment by myself in this truck. He goes, I need you to meet me on the street. And I'm like, what meet me on the street? Wait? Wait, wait, what is this a drug deal? No, he goes, He goes, I have a big truck. He goes, you know, I said you first of all, the end the temporary entrance to my lobby is in is in the loading dock, so you should it should be fine for your big gass truck. The motherfucker didn't want to get out of his truck. He made me come downstairs. I had I had to get dressed because it was like nine o'clock in the morning and I was on we were on vacation that day. I got I got dressed, went downstairs. I had to go outside around the corner. Flagged the guy down because he was in front of the wrong place. And he comes halfway up the block. Then he gets out of his car, opens the side of his truck and he starts like handing me the TV which is for two people to carry right there on the street. I said, I paid for service to be delivered to my doorman. I said, you didn't make a delivery. He goes, yeah, I'm giving it to you right now. I'm delivering it to you right now, he says, because I don't want to deal with dorman. He says, because if the doorman decides, you know, if something breaks, you know, and whatever and and something between the time it gets to you and you're not here. He goes, I'm responsible. I said, listen, if I opened this TV up later, it's broken. I said, I'll deal with that later. At another time, I said, I don't need you to tell me that. I need to come down out of my house, get dressed, meet you on the street. My doorman had to come outside and around the block with me to take shipment of this TV. So we had to both love this fucking TV together. And I'm standing there on the sidewalk and I'm in disbelief. I've never had worse service of what they say. It's called drop ship. I see why, because you fucking ship it and you drop it on the ground and drive away. That the guy didn't even want to go. How much was it for delivered to your house? How much was it if they wanted to bring it to your apartment? There was no extra fit. It was eighty dollars to deliver it. But delivering means my doorman signs for it and then I get it for to my apartment. From there I go later in the day, I'll go to my apartment a half flatbed. Trusting either way. The point is all I wanted him to do was give it to my dorman inside the building. This fucker was on the sidewalk with I mean it was it was freaking flurrying out. It was cold and me and I'm not liking that Mike Dorman and I had to look the TV to the fucking apartment. The balls on Hercules Delivery systems. Now, I was gonna call him Hercules because he shirked his responsibility. Yeah, fuck you, Hercules Delivery. You should get you eighty bucks back in Piscataway. Oh wait a minute, you didn't. No, I didn't prose, He's gonna not even And it's not even even. It wasn't even. I wasn't even trying to get even. It was listen, Yeah, I'm listening. It was the holidays, and I'm thinking, like, if I call and I file a report against his motherfucker and I demand my eighty dollars back. He's gonna get fired. That's on him, not you. He wasn't thinking that was he thinking, you know what, it's the holidays. I should be extranize. I'm gonna do this guy solid. If he couldn't leave his truck, then Hercules should have put someone else on the truck with him. I watch the truck mortified. I couldn't believe it. He made me come to him. I'm so, I'm so angry and Hercules a bitch. But what would you have done? Would you have would you have called the guy? I wouldn't tell you what you called the company there in Piscataway, New Jersey. I have them there three number no. But we're about a minute away from having to call Peter Luger, So, uh no, I would not woman to call him now. I mean, I don't have the information with me now. Oh I know you. You're gonna get my eighty hours back. Oh, I'll get you eight hours back, absolutely done. What well, you can't get free, deserted and the guy is gonna get fired because the guy that they'll know who who the driver was, because it was the guy rude to you. He was Uh, let's just say that he wasn't in the Christmas Here's what okay, here's here's how you handle it. Well, you don't get the guy fired. If you don't want to get the guy fired. Okay, you call up and you say I ordered the TV. Right you tell mas scenario and you go when the truck arrived, what's the policy for delivering the TV? What service should I have gotten this way? If he says to you, oh, we're gonna just hand it to you and like what happened, then you know you you have to be pissed at the company right now, you who did you pay the eight hours to the moving company or the TV company? The TV company? Okay, then your problems with the TV company. You need to call a TV company and say I paid eighty bucks and you guys should source a bunch of funkheads from Hercules. And don't use hercules again. Number one. Don't use hercules. Number two and no one's they're not gonna record you on this. He didn't record you. When I called and ordered the TV for the delivery, the guy on the phone told me they bring it to my door. Didn't ask me if my door was on the ground floor. He said, well, bring it to your apartment. You asked me my apartment number, right, you gave your apartment number. Right, Why would ask for your apartment number if they weren't bringing the TV to your apartment? Did you bring your into combell? Bullshit? Don't tweet me. Listen. They owe you the money. Now you want to play a brody style, you get the money back, and then you call Hercules and demand I did that with a certain fast food place. I had to reach it the table. Wait, let's tell you what happen Amazon. I get to that in a minute. But yeah, I would call that. That's that's my recommendation. I would call the TV company that and and tell them that if they're paying out that a D or sixty whatever they gave Hercules, then I getting their money is worth And you're unhappy with the process. Now, your free dessert comes from the TV company because they should refund your a D and your free dessert is a gift card to the store. That's what you should get. I'm sorry you had to come down. You have a bad back, right, problem was right? Since you're twelve from the accident from when you say when you save that kid in front of the car, and the TV company, Oh you free dessert after the refund by definition of free dessert, because it's their fault they hired ship good. That's what I would do all right over the holidays. Did you do anything fun? Did you go anywhere cool? Uh? You know, I had elbow surgery that yeah. How how how are you feeling? By the way, it's all sore. It's a little sore if I move and sent little bruising. You want a little bit more um flexible than usual. Uh, maybe you'd buy yourself a shake weight kind of like shake you know, get that exercise going? What is it? Where is this going? Where is this guy? I'm just saying. I was asking to see what you did over the holidays. And by the way, so I'll tell you what I did do. Speaking of sexual in nuendo with the shake weeight thing. Um. I visited my mom at some time off drove, drove down, drove to see here, forty five minute trip. So I don't see as much, you know, because I gotta work in the morning. So I drove down to see her. I get in the car and I'm taking I'm taking it on shopping and taking for dinner. And I said, so you want to listen to the news, we want to do it in the car. Just uh, you know I'm behind on episodes. Once you put on the podcast on that any episode you want, so I put on the episode with you and your personal trainer William in the sauna. Yeah we yeah. And when he was stretching me out in the sauna, yeah, and you were bending down and crunching with them, and hot and sweaty guys. My mother was laughing her ass off every I slipped in, Unlike will I slipped in about a hundred and fifty innuendos, puns, double entanges. I will tell you that I I thoroughly enjoyed that episode, but not um, not the actual sauna. Um. This makes me happy, This makes me. Never listen to your podcast with someone else. No, No, I can't do it. I love it because I think I think we're funny. I'm like, you know those people like that do TV shows and they go, what do you think of the episode last night? They go, I don't watch myself. I love listening to our podcast. They're fun I don't, and back to anything we ever do, I don't. I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what. No, I don't listen to a big show. I'll tell you what's different about the podcast. On the podcast. When I listen back, I actually hear what you say when you listen back. Yeah, listen back, I actually hear you occasionally. No, it's it's but I I sometimes miss things you slipped in, or I miss like I slipped in something and then you didn't react, or you did react and I didn't catch the reaction the first time. Maybe I should go, I'm gonna start, you know, I wanna start from zero, start from the listen to the order, and listen to it. Um. My mother freaked out because she's like, this is so weird for me. I'll never get used to it because I'm talking to you and you're talking out of the radio at the same time. I'm hearing you. But it's you and you're my son, and it's weird. That's like when I hear I'm in the back of an uber or in a store somewhere and one of my Scary Jones commercials comes on the radio there, and I'm like, Okay, this is weird. I'm hearing myself on the radio. Whatever I hear in the store, like you know, or any of our affiliates and I hear your commercials. Come on, I'll stop a salesperson, I go, what is this crap? Listening to this guy? Sounds gonna ass of course, and then they agree. I'll say great. But no, I I did go for Chinese food on Christmas like Jews do. And that was the problem. That was a problem. Um. I'll tell you about that. I'll tell you about that next. Yeah. No, but I was actually gonna talk about the tailgate. I went to UM for the final Giants game. It was Giants Cowboys Week seventeen. Oh that's right. Yeah, you didn't go to the game the right You went to the tailgate, went to the tailgate and uh there was went to this place. Red's not a sponsor UM, and we were just hanging out and in the parking lot right there in Carlstate, New Jersey. Yeah, right beside the stadium. They had a tailgate going on in Red's parking lot. And who did I run into? Uh Odell Beckham Jr. No, the dudes from Feltman's. Oh, Feltman's they were there as soon as I might drove into the parking lot. The smell, the aroma felt and hot dogs permeated the air. I'm like, these guys are doing it right. Let me tell you they were the most popular hit that day before the game. People were It was a one o'clock game, mind you, So they were there very many in the Giants game, No, except giant players being hit and falling on the floor. Yeah, those are the popular hits seven eight o'clock in the morning. Growing up, hot dogs Feltman's and it was quite the sight. And then you're gonna go tailgating. You know, you're gonna be drinking, maybe you're gonna be putting a lot of other crap in your body. At least have some healthy hot dogs and Feltman's hot dogs as we look. We've told you guys, no night trades, no night trites, no night trites. Uh, they're they're they're a healthier hot dog and they taste better. Yeah, there's no filler there, and they really do. Charles Feltman invented the hot dog way back in the eighteen hundreds. Uh, Nathan worked for him. We told you that too, you know that, Nathan. Then there's a just exited stage left and did his own thing, you know that story. But for Feltman's of Coney Island. Which you want. Let you go to the website felt men F. E. L. T. M A N. S. Of Coney Island dot com. An original. Uh, they're the ones that you want to check out. Now. The best part of Feltman's is you can buy them online. Okay, I feel like it said, you know what? Before I do that, let me read a couple of things that people uh tweeted and d m at me because I think they were they were. Okay, so this is from Cat. She's at Catherine. That's pretty good. She got at Catherine's pretty good for a first name only that you just put the under the underscore. Catherine. Sorry, she said, I'm a manager at a store or out of the Hampton's and a twenty year old woman handed her cover letter to me before her interview. This is the beginning of it, and I couldn't help but start laughing as I was reading it. It's so hard to find candidates who put in effort. And the the cover letter was thank you for the opportunity to apply for the manager and training role at your company. I know that you're looking for candidates that uh, that have experienced in the role and can perform them confidently. It was the cover letter that we read a few episodes of the standard copy and pace cover letter. And so she started laughing in the interview because this girl handed her the copy and pace cover letter. So that made me laugh. Very very popular Twitter. That was yah. She tweeted me at i'llderscore Catherine, and she put up the picture. Uh Doug Curran. Doug Curran is one of my now he um he emailed me this. But Doug is one of my terrified followers on Twitter. He works at a Texas uh TV station, so he's a TV famous. He writes to me, went to drive through to get fast food. Was told to pull up into a non lit area at night and that my food will be brought out the back door. They brought his food out the back door the garbage door. Ulus hashtag shady a f No one was behind me in line. I refused to move to the dark spot and they looked at me like I was violating all drive through rules. It's become too normal. This must be stopped. Twitter here I come. We said it before. It's an epidemic. Tony underscore twenty on Instagram. Was just told by McDonald's to drive up and wait in the reserve drive through waiting area. There was no one behind me, but there was one car in the number two reserve waiting spot. This is the new thing. I would rather just wait in the line inside and there's a big banner that says spot three reserved drive through. They have a drive through parking lot section with permanent signs up, which means it ain't going anyway anytime soon. They they say one more for you, and then you have emails you want to read. That's fine. It's a cartoon And there's a pink blob talking to a blue blob and the pink blob says doc, I feel like I'm getting old. And the doctor says, hm, hmmm, tell me, do you like seltzer water, And the pink blob says, well, I used to hate the stuff, but now I love it. And so the doctor writes on his notepad, patient is basically dead, and then and and uh. The person who sent it to me wrote hashtag fart water fart water. So Paul McBride wrote to us at the Brooklyn Boys podcast at gmail dot com and said that he doesn't remember which podcast it was we were talking about, um, but it was their use of the word grapple. Oh yeah, I was. He at first was all for you, Brody and thinking that I Scary was wrong. I'm using the word grappling. But this week I heard the phrase on TV and I'm now wreaking red thinking my decision. The TV show is The Orville with Seth McFarland, and I've included the video and audio clip of the line, So now I think Scary is right as I get either way. By the way, I'm sorry, who's in Orville? Seth McFarlane, Okay, he wrote Setharland. Yeah, he wrote McFarland he what you read McFarland. Oh no, no, no, it's Seth McFarland. That's just my eyesight going on. Me. Um wha, whoa, whoa your eyesight either you know the guy's name, and you don't Seth McFarland. Right, he said it again. There's no date. No, no, no, that's meat. That's like that's a gasp at the end of you know day, Seth McFarland. Yeah, but you said McFarland twice. I don't know. That's why you're long about grappling. No, anyway, here's some ammunition for you, scary. Keep up the awesome work and give the slices some free dessert. Okay, here we go. Yeah, that is just like an emotional sucker punch. Really like, I've had a really bad week. I've just been grappling with insecurity and self doubt. And it is grappling with insecurity and self doubt. He used it in a sentence. So thank you, Paul, appreciate you. Uh did we talk about Josh Niberg, who said that he finally caught up with the podcast. But now I'm incredibly sad. I started from zero and now I have a tiro this is that's cute. Uh, he wrote, that's lame. I'm sorry. Listen to the order. Need more episodes. I know how busy you guys must get, but I would love, love, love if you both can try and do more. All right, so let's do it. By the way, you used grappling a different way than he just didn't. And I'm looking at the definition of grapple again and you didn't use it right. All right? Any what were you saying? I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. Uh. Hey, guys, new episode, new listener of the podcast, and I love it. Uh. Brodie's talking about getting free dessert and she wrote free desert and when went inconvenience anyway, I wanted to know if you've ever been inconvenience and was given free dessert without asking for it. I have twice went to a takeout order from a Japanese tipe place, had a cold, no voice, hostess took my hostess took my order, went into the and they went into the kitchen and brought me tea for free for my sore throat while I waited. Another time, there was a local flourish just sold coffee. Florist right, tea and food and all that stuff in her shop. I made an appointment and I had a boot to have a bouquet for my grandmother made for Hanukkah, and the woman ahead of me was taking a long time with her flower order. The owner of the shop noticed felt bad that I was waiting so long. She gave me tea for free. I didn't ask for free dessert. But has that ever happened to either one of you? Guys? Were free dessert just landed in your lap where they anticipated you might have complained and that you might have been distraught, so they gave you free dessert without asking. Has that ever happened to you? Brodie? Oh? Absolutely, that's what you're supposed to do. They're supposed to offer you free dessert when they burn your steak. And to me, that's called great customer service. It's happened several times. We love people that, you know an organizations that recognize what free dessert is in order. So um, all right, and then we want to just thank Jason Silva and other people for for writing in. I got a couple of free dessert type stories. Erica covaric uh So, she wrote, member, so remember instead of Remember I love that. So remember how I emailed you asking for help because Amazon screwed me up on a game. Guess what I just got my free dessert because of you. Even is not even hashtag did what Brody does best? Love that? Caroline English just got the best free dessert. Waited one hour for food. My dad asked the manager uh to give us our entire meal for free, and they did. Let's see j Steen or j Stein not my free dessert today. Long story short, had to go to the phone store three times just to get my upgrade. Told them they needed to make it right for wasting my time, so they gave me a free fifty dollar case. Hashtag even it's not even hashtag Thanks Brodie, hashtag f you. AB seventy seven. Stephen Massia wrote on the term of scuba like scuba diving. I learned what scuba means from an episode of Family Ties. Alex was helping Mallory study for hours. However it was to no avail. Finally she recalled what scooba stood for. They were dancing around and singing the scuba meeting. That's how I learned what scuba stands for and what does it stand for Brody self contained underwater breathing apparatus. They were dancing around the living room seeing it, and that she retained He retained this, Stephen MASSI retained it all these years because of that episode of Family Ties. Also, j saw two guys in a new list. There witnessed a situation like Skieries airport Burger story. Oh, by the way, Brodie Schula Burger update. Yes, uh, it's been a month. Nobody's gotten back to me about my complaint about Burger, my formal complaint. Ah, you guys know what that is. You listened to last episode. That's bullshit. It is bullshit. You know what, bad customer service, bad company. They're gonna go down. Here's here's a good company. I was in the middle of so, so we gotta call Peter Luger. Yes, Jamie from Queen's wrote she was staying in a hotel for a convention. Sitting in a hotel restaurant. It was completely empty except for us. Took forty minutes just to get our sodas. Ninety minutes after we ordered our food finally arrived. Well, my friend ordered a pasta dish that he didn't know had clams in it. He asked the waiter to please take the clams out. He said he's allergic. He's not. He doesn't like clams, but his wife is and they sometimes share the food. Anyway, the waiters said they will bring out the food with no clams. Brings the dish back at is the clams were we're taking thought of clams were taken out, except he realizes he after eating half of it there were clams on it. They only took the clams off the top. Bastards. He blew his top. They thought he was allergic to clams and yet left him in the dish. He made a big scene in the lobby. He and his wife got a free night stay at the hotel and we didn't have to pay for dinner. He got his free dessert Jamie from Jason Curley. He was at Um. He was at a steakhouse that's known for being related to Australia. Let's just say that wife got chicken, found cardboard in her chicken. How does that happen? Anyway, didn't pay for the meal and got free dessert. Thank you. Uh Mac three r Z went into Target after checking online if they had an echo dotton stock. I get there completely sold out. Long story, short gift card for my inconvenience. Boom boom, Nick Alton with the free Chipotle dessert. Hey guys, um, I got take out of Chippole the other night, got home, realized that I didn't have a bag of chips that I paid for. I didn't want to drive back to the restaurant, so I emailed their customer service to express my disappointment. I told him, at the very minimum, I would like my money back or a voucher for a free bag of chips in the future. Instead of granting this request and under an hour, they emailed me back asked for my address to send me a coupon for a free Burrino that's much more expensive than a bag of chips. So boom free dessert. Uh, Donna Briante, I just wanted to tell you about my free dessert experience. I placed an order black Friday form makeup from Bobby Brown. They were offering thirty off. I realized today it never was delivered. I contacted them and was told the order had been canceled, no reason why. They told me they would give me a code for free expedited shipping and asked me to reorder. I okay, hold on, by the way, if you're giving us free dessert stories, the shorter they are, the more chances we will read them. Know what I'm saying. I'm you know. I have a few kids that are like eight paragraphs long. We're just not gonna get I inquired about my thirty off and they said to contact him after I ordered and they would credit me. I told him that was unacceptable. They came back and gave me the item for free with free shipping. I owe it all to you, free dessert. You're very welcome, Donna. I'll give you one free dessert from me, and then we'll get to my Chinese food. Right, we were up to two hours. I think we should well. Okay, so here's the thing. I won't give you my fingers seven things that I didn't get to that I wanted to talk about. But Jesus, how do we do? Can I do? Do a short rant and I'll save my Chinese food for it? All right? This is short one. I'll give my free dessert story next week is my short my short rant. My wife drives a Hunday. Okay, the first non American car we've ever bought. Don't tweet me. No American cars built partially in other countries. I get it. Okay, So I love the car. It's our first, uh in a while, all wheel drive car. But inside the car there's a button where you can hit it to make it go on all wheel drive, so you drive only the front wheel drive, and then when the roads are bad, you can hit it and put it into all wheel drive. Okay, that's important to the story. So she needs two front tires. They're bad, right. I I was suppa to take care of it. I didn't. They're like bald at this point. So she goes to the tire place where I I tell her to go, and they tell her you gotta buy four tires you cause all wheel drive. Now, my wife is a little paranoid when it comes to card dealerships and pass shops because she always feels like they're trying to sell the woman something. Right, So she calls me and she says, hey, they're trying to get me to buy four tires at once. They're saying our cars a wheel drive all the time. I said, no, it's all wheel drive in the front. You gotta push the button because if the tires are wheel drive all the time. That means they all spin at the same time. They gotta be even so the car grabs the road evenly all around. Okay, I'm like, I don't want to buy four tires. It's a lot of money. She just, well, is it or isn't it? I said, you know what, I can google it. But better yet, I'm gonna call the Hyundai dealership near our house and ask them. They'll know and this way i'll call you back in five minutes. I called the Hundai dealership and the woman answers in the service department, and I said, I have a question for when you service guys. Well, maybe I can help you. I said, I need to know if my car in this year, this model is all will drive all around all the time, or is it two wheel drive? Until I pushed the button she let me ask one of the service guys, it just puts me on hold. Comes back just yeah, um, he didn't know. There's nobody here that would be able to answer that question for you. Oh boy, I said, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. What, Yeah, there's nobody here. Now. It wasn't after hours, it was like, you know, three in the afternoon. I said, is everyone on break? No, nobody knows the answer. I said, are you telling me that I'm calling about a Hyundai and I'm calling hun Day the repair department for hunt Day, and you can't tell me if the car is all will drive all the time or not your Honday? Am I supposed to call Chevy? Am I supposed to call Volkswagen. I'm calling Hounday. Don't be a favor. Look cat An the department. You guys all wear Hounday shirts. I've been there. Somebody there has to know the answer to whether or not a Hounday the model I gave you has all will drive all the time by buying four tires and two tires. Here's what she crosses the line scary. She says, Well, give me your Finn number. I am. She said, Finn number vehicle identification number number. Is that what she wanted from you? So? I said, first of all, I think you met Finn. Second of all, your your Honday. I didn't call hard to buy mistake. I'm surprised. I was gonna say, I'm surprised you answer the Hello Honda. No. So I said, you know what You've heard me do this trick before, I said, I gotta go. Thank you for your help. So I called back, and now I call the parks department. So I said, called the parts department. Yeah, I can help you. I said, yeah. I was just on the phone in your service department and the woman they had told me nobody can answer this question. I says, well, well, I'll give me a question. I said, tell him a question. He says, Oh, your car's Tucson. Yeah, he's Oh, it's all wheel drive all the time. I go, what's the button for? He says. What happens is the car senses if the road is slippery and it instantly turns into a wheel drive. But if you wanted to go up a hill or a dirt road, you can push the button. But I'm telling you that car you get by all four tires. Okay, Well I was told nobody in your dealer ship knew the answer to that. No, that's not right. So so I called back. I called back the service department. Okay right, and and I say, uh, I can it just can help you? Hunday. So I said, yeah, what what what's your name? So? Uh, she says Shantell. I said, oh, Shantell, very nice. Nice talk to you. Shantell. Um, I just sparked someone else in the other department, and they knew the answer to the question. I said, so do me a favor. Next time you don't know the answer, go find out the answer. It's bullshit, so I'm issuing my first FY nineteen. F you, Shantell. If you nobody in Hunday knows the answer to the hun day question. And by the way, it's Hyundai. She said, Hyundai. That's what I thought, right. She got that wrong too, Yeah, they're wrong. You're done. Name of the car you worked that. I'm surprised she didn't say Honda. It's Honday like Sunday company she works. If you, Shantell, welcome to tween nineteen. I think we understated I welcome today. Of course we did because you know where we're from from. Rocoln Boys, Rock Brockklyn Brocklena Boys, Rock Rockols.
