Speaker 1: Brodie. I think we need to remind everybody that September is National Life Insurance Awareness Month. Yes, we do. It's and at the time of this recording, we have a few days left in September. It's right now. Yeah. And I still can't believe that people don't have life insurance that should have life insurance. Um, that would be me. Now. Is it because you feel it's so difficult you don't think you need it. I feel like you just you think it's a hassle. I think it's for me. It's it's a hassle. And most people think it's too expensive. Now all of these are myths because the prices are the lowest they've been in twenty years, and our friends at Policy Genius have made it easier than ever to get covered. I don't know what I'm waiting for. I gotta get on people. I love websites that compile news stories or sports stories. I love places that can compare prices. Policy Genius takes the information from the biggest insurance companies and compares it for you all in one place. You don't have to worry, like, am I getting the best price? What to talk to? A hundred people? Go to policy genius dot com and you can compare life insurance, disability insurance, rent is insurance, health insurance. As they say, if you care about it, they can cover it. I've been checking the stats and policy Genius has helped over four million people shop for insurance. They've placed over twenty billion dollars in coverage, possibly from the last time we did a commercial. So if you're looking it for a great reason to buy life insurance, there's never been a better time than right now because prices are at a twenty year low. And do it with our friends at policy genius dot com. They got the right policy for you. Also another reason, you want to make sure your family and loved ones are taken care of. I mean, the price is great, but it's also important that you remember the people in your life that they are provided for. Get quotes, apply in minutes, and get started at policy genius dot com. Make sure you tell them at the end that you heard about it on the Brooklyn Boys podcast. Yeah, so we get the credit and I'm gonna do that thing that happens on all commercials on television. That's policy genius dot com. The easy way to compare and buy life Insurance. Hey, this is Neil Patrick Harris, and you're listening to the Brooklyn Boys with wait for it, brody and scary, but only because he went into the studio and recorded with you and not me. Start. I had a great conversation with m Brooklyn. By start Up Brooklyn buy Data, they make a noise data up episode. This is the Brooklyn Boys podcast, recording again on a Wednesday. We're not making a habit of that. People are starting to expect it because the text already started coming in this morning. We're gonna start up, start Up a little later. We'll guess what yes for today for this week, but not every week. Al Right, this week it worked out. Scary and I are doing something on Thursday tomorrow. Yeah, we can't record, so we're like, oh, let's do it today today. And I thank you, thank you, by the way, thank you to Jamie, my co host on the Walkers and Talkers podcast. By the way, the Walking Dead comes back October seven, So if you're one of those people that listens only to the Walking Dead reviews and I fear the Walking Dead preacher October seven, but Jamie said, fine, we'll move it to Thursday. You guys can record Wednesday, said permission on this Well, you know I record Walkers and Talkers. Who's there Wednesday and this week? You wanted to do Wednesday? And I said, well, Walkers and Talkers, that's the brody of Brodie and Scary. It should be Scary and brody. It should be Brooklyn Boys and Walkers and Talkers. I've been I'm up to episode. We're up to a hundred and twenty two on the Walkers and Talkers. So that's really my first podcast. And Jamie's cuter than you no offense. Then if that's the case, then Speaking Volumes is my first podcast. Well fair enough, Well, no, you were doing this before Speaking Volumes. I was doing this podcast before Speaking No you were not. Oh yes, Brooklyn Boys, you are, and I'm cute than not. But I was doing the firm former reincarnation of this a year. There is no former reincarnation of this podcast podcast. I had a podcast with Greg Tea right, which was great and and Cheryl, but that was another podcast. This is a new podcast. I know this is not It's on the same channel, it's on the same RSS feed, but that's it. But I know, but some people go back, do you know, we had a mechanic that said they listen to the entire channel over and over again and they don't care what's on it. They just keep going. Well that's fine, I mean, listen it all. I'll record myself just uh yeah, whatever you want to do, just talking and throw that, don't you know? Should we ever do that? Once? We should? You want to psych everybody out, but like a bonus, you know, like maybe on a day where you would normally prank someone, Yeah, maybe that day we'll put up an episode. Would you do that April Fools Day? I didn't say that, just the day which here boys, it just it could be a sixty sixty minutes of dead air. Yeah, we just goes on two hour podcast. Just go listen to it. But we just gave away the joke. Yeah, and if people listen in order, they're gonna know what do you you know, what will full? So we'll wait five years and we'll see if they remember. Yeah, we'll see what we're five years. So, speaking of Neil Patrick Harris, I gotta say, what a great guy. And he's done so much. I mean yeah, he he's hosted, uh the Emmy Awards. One he's hosted yes, he's won a Tony, he's won a couple of Emmy's, multiple emmis. Actually, and of course we remember him best as Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother, And of course listen. I had a great conversation with him about How I Met your Mother. I'm not gonna spoil anything, cause I don't spoil, but the ending of How I Met Your Mother after nine seasons, I think it after nine seasons, and when it ended in two thousand and four, No, no, no, no no, I'm not gonna say anything. People, it's one of the top bin shows by our audience. But people have had four listen, don't. People are watching Friends now, people are watching the Office again and again and again. I can't give away the end of Seinfeld. No why years ago it hasn't been on the errand Soul. But that's not a cliffhanger, it's not. I wouldn't even mention. The thing is they end up in jail. You heard it from I'm not everyone who listens to this podcast has seen signed I would I would hope. All right, So How I Met Your Mother had a controversial last episode. I didn't see the last I'm not gonna tell you what. And I have found in my in my travels that people who watched How I Met Your Mother in real time, one episode a week, twenty two episodes a year, and took nine years to watch the show have usually a very strong opinion about the ending. People who binged it the Netflix, the Netflix crowd, and Netflix crowd who binged it in like two thousand seventeen and didn't live it for nine years and watched it all on a weekend. You don't get attached to certain elements of the show, the romance, the friendships the same way, and they have the complete opposite feeling about the ending. The same goes with friends. People who watched it for for ten seasons have one opinion about who Rachel ends up with, and people who binged it a lot of them have a different opinion and who Rachel ends up with. And I think it's because if you lived with it for ten seasons and you you and I understand that and the hangers, but where you where you she goes to the airport and you don't know what's gonna happen, and you wait three months to find out. So it's a difference between being emotionally invested in a long term relationship versus opening up a bag of potato chips and eating the whole bag. I think binging you lose the thing that you're supposed to hold onto. Well, that's you know, I gotta say that's a sad commentary on society because most people binge stuff now. I think if you binge watched this is Us five years from now, number one, I think you'll want to lose your mind. But I think you'll you'll be desensitized after like crying, crying, crying, crying, and six hours in a row. I think by the sixth episode, like, I get it. Now it's a TV show and they're breaking up. I get it. So binging has now changed the way that I think writers in Hollywood. I think when you watch the show on Netflix now, like right now, I'm watching uh Luke Cage on It's a Marvel show on Netflix. It's made to be binged. So each episode has a cliffhanger, but it's very fast paced and the story doesn't really drag in terms of like, oh, what's gonna happen next, because it happens next, Like you know, It's not the same if you watch TV shows before Netflix there was like a cliffhanger. There was like an emotional right, yeah, well we can talk. We've talked about that. But like I watched Fear the Walking Dead in the episode two weeks ago, it ended with like sort of a cliffhanger. It was a dumb, obvious one. You knew what they saw. They're like, they see something in the distance and it goes to black. Now if I could binge that, like, okay, what do they say? Okay, that's what they say. There's no guessing, there's no thinking about it. You don't ponder, you don't even think about I find when I've been shows, I don't think about the episode. I watch it and I go right next, as opposed to when you watch an episode and you don't binge you you have a week to go. I wonder what the motivation was. How about that action scene? I wonder if you start, I wonder if he really is the killer as opposed to beat means the killer. Yeah, what about um shows? Like, well, well, anyway, first of all, a lot of these cliffhangers end up being dreams. Right, it wasn't an all a dream. A lot of them, know, A couple of shows a couple of shows more than a couple. Like I was like, oh, it was a dream, I just dropped that whole thing. That's not I don't think that's more than a couple. There's a few. There was a couple of shows. But over the years there's been some bad show ending. Okay, and just I'm about show and well, i'll tell you what I think. We've talked about this what we have. Yeah, there was two shows that did it beautifully and one show that got a lot of crop for it. Um the TV show. It was either Dallas or Not Landing. I don't remember. I think it was Dallas. Please don't tweet me. I don't even know. I don't care. Um, but it was. Patrick Duffy was a big actor because Not Landing was a spinoff Falcon Crest, the spinoffs of Dallas. But he died, he wanted off the show, and then like three or four years later, I don't care if it was two, he wanted back on the show. So they made it that from the minute he died, it was from the shower where he dies. They made it a dream from that point on, and everything that happened in those two or three or four years or five years, whatever it was days it didn't happen. The two best ever ever, ever, ever was saying elsewhere, which was which was one of the first? Um, well, it wasn't one of the first. It was. It was like a Gray's Anatomy. How He Mandel was on it. It was in the early eighties on NBC and the I think we talked about this. The whole show took place in a hospital like Gray's, like e er great show, drama, emotion, not as much sex in the closet like on Gray's Anatomy. And when the show ended, no one's gonna go back and binge watches. It's years. The main doctor's son was tistic. I don't think they called it that back then, but he living with living with he has living with autism, and um he was staring at a snow globe with the hospital in the snow globe, and it zoomed out and it showed the hospital, and then as you zoomed out, it was the snow globe and all it was. Everything that had happened on the show was snow glow. Was in the imagination of this child holding his snow Come on, man, But it didn't change that you have to you have to see it. It was mind blowing. And then the New Heart Show. It was either the New Heart Show or the Bob New Heart Show. Again, I don't care. Don't tweet me. Um, you smudgeon, but I don't care. Okay, so Bob, but I already know the answer. You want friends, don't you have friends? By the way, speaking of friends, I'm glad Ross ended up with and who he ended up with anyway, So on the Bob New Heart Show. He did a show in this heavands and early eighties called the Bob New Heart Show New Heart. It was called New Heart with him and his wife Sazam was Schett. They did a show. It was very funny show. Then like fifteen twenty years later, he did a new show called The Bob New Heart Show where he played that we had like the identical twin brothers, Darrel and Darrel. Yes, right, uh and uh. When that show ended, he he wakes up with his wife from the first show as if the whole second show was a dream. Yeah, it was brilliant. That's great. I like that because that was one of those dream endings. I'll tell you what really made me sad was the ending of Three's Company. Remember that, Yeah, of course, the the just remember talking about more shows from the two thousands. I remember Jack Tripper and Janet Terry and they were like leaving the house and they just they just showed the the apartment empty and they just closed the lights and they just shut the door. I think a lot of wait, didn't Friends end that way too? About shutting the They shut the door, they walked out of the apartment. Yeah, well, yeah, we have friends bit off of Three's Company. Is that what you're going with? Yeah, okay, you don't you show endings. Show endings are fine. I just uh sometimes Sopranos? How about Sopranos? That that was one of the most famous show endings of all time? Okay, but it was also the most ambiguous. Yes, I think that's why it made it great at the time. That does not make it great. That pisses the audience all tape. It pissed people off. I was so angry at that ending. I'm like, really, that's it. I invested all these years watching this, that that's an ending. I don't think we should ruin here. I'm not gonna ruin it. I think it was just weird I'll tell you why it was brilliant because when it happened, everyone thought there was something wrong right with with everything? We get into it, and then people were like, what the fuck? And then they were like, it's a terrible ending, and then people spent years. They're still trying to figure out the ending to this day. That's why it's brilliant every time I hear that Journey song because everybody, yes, that that that's what made the song famous again again, yes, the Journey, don't stop believing, huge song, and then it came back yet so I think what that the ending was it? No, it wasn't okay, tweet scary, sopranos ending good, sopranos ending bad. Actually, you know, forget about that. Let's not be so shallow. Tell me what you think the ending of sopranos meant to you. That's i'd like to know. I want some introspection here. Well, it's it's the guy coming out of the bathrooms. I'm not saying what it was. I'm saying everybody in that scene. Everyone you go back and you watch, you go who is doing what, who was looking at? Who is it? Is it? And you can interpret it and what you want. That's why it's like it's brilliant. It's brilliant. No, I don't know. I have my own ideas, and and and David David Chase. David Chase will never say what he thinks, Like why don't even interviewed several times wider and creative of the Sopranos. They're doing a prequel. Can we read that? Doing a prequel? Yes? Yes, but wait a second. Oh? Eat, when is that coming out? I don't remember. We'll look it up. Wait, get guess what. Don't tweet us? Yeah, look at you don't tweet us. I found picking up a little bit of your anger. I'm not angry at all. Oh, you're angry, so angry. Hold, I'm looking up right here by the way. Congratulations. Apparently it's a prequel movie. Ah, it's not a series, alright, The Many Saints of Newark? Can we formerly we never did this? Do we welcome Gandhi to the show that we didn't even do that? Well, if you heard Gandhi on episode thirty one of The Brooklyn Boys, That's where I was going with that. Gandhi is one of our new co hosts. Is our new co host for the Elvis to Rancho Big Show, and a lot of people were texting giving us credit for finding her. But I would like to correct that and say that, well, Gandhi was a guest of the Big Show and then later that day hung out with us on our podcast. So if we cannot take credit for no finding, I know, I feel weird taking that credit when people are texting Elvis and being like the Brooklyn Boys found her. I'm like one of the Brooklyn Boys. Founder you founder, Yeah, you know the story, the same way I find the last three female co hosts that haven't been Danielle. That's what I do. Well, you you scouted people out. Yeah, it's partly I do for the company. But but but he has a little bit of the back story, and we'll move on. Gandhi applied for the position on our morning show in two thousand twelve, and I was at that point solely in charge of going through all the air checks and demos and everything, and um, we all felt once I made the shortlist for Elvis and everybody here at the time that Bethany was absolutely the best choice at the time, but I thought Gandhi was great, and so I became friends with her. I stayed in touch. I helped her get the job in Boston. Um, I think she's brilliantly talented and uh could not be happier that she's part of the family. But but Elvis and and a few of us made a decision that you know, there was horror. It was ultimately Elvis's choice and Danielle and yeah, yeah, but she was fantastic. But yes, she was on the Elvis In Morning show that morning and we scooped her up and said, why don't you come on the podcast? But she had done her horror audition, I guess, or on her second one. I think was the first one. Well, let me say one thing, Um, she's the best. She shuts some woman down on my Instagram the other day. She's not taking ship from nobody. I love that. There are a lot of assholes out there who think that because they hide behind their phone that they can be nasty and hurtful. If you don't like someone, you know, I always say, like, if you don't like a sports figure, I don't tweet at them. Like if you want to say, oh, I I hate so and so he's killing my fantasy football team. Whatever, you don't have to tweet at them. I love Gandhi because you bite her, she bites back and she and she's like she's an alligator. She just go she'll clamp down on you. Yeah. Or she's funny, like someone sits something horrific to her and she's like, yeah, my mom says the same thing. I love her attitude, she's already her approach is fantastic. But don't be hurtful because you're hoping she'll send right back something funny. Speaking of being hurtful, what did I do? Somebody texted us and said, hey, scary, you did need dirty. You should apologize right now to him on the podcast? Or was it about? And then the phone tap was great? By the way, I wouldn't mind having more Brooklyn Boys phone taps, Like, I agree with you on that. But we actually called this guy back. He's on the phone right now. What more she I don't know? Hello, I just tuned you number. Who's this? This is George? George? Were you from all right? You like the Brooken Boys podcast? Oh yeah, listen all the time. That's awesome. That's brody. And now let's get right down to it. Why I don't ask George the question real quick before we get to the text message which part of Michigan from you from the upper part or the lower part? The lower part? Lower part? Okay, very good. How's your water? We're over here. I hear that Detroit suffering No, no, no, okay Michigan or Michigan State. All right? Well, hey man, what's this about you texting in that I did Brody dirty? I agree with You're ready, George, but go ahead. Well, listening to the morning so and I heard you saying, um, scary and Brody first while he was I don't know where he was. He was out of the room. I had to get something in my desk in the minute. I'm gone, Absolutely, George, you know what that's like. That's like when Brody takes an artist into the next studio and has them cut it, and when I'm not there and has people like Mike Shinoda from Lincoln Park say this. Hey, this is Mike Shinoda, and you're cooking raw with the Brooklyn boys with Brody and Scary. See. Now I wasn't there for that record, but I wrote that it was my George is the same thing he did me dirty? How is that not doing me dirty? It's mad it's because you're doing it to the home like on live radio, right, live radio. What's that supposed to me? Trying to say? The brook Boys podcast listeners don't count? He does it to me on the podcast. Now, George, I know you know this, George, and I'm gonna I'm gonna take the handle from you because I know that. In addition to being upset with scary uh, scary and brodying it, which he shouldn't have done. Uh, he also made a grammatic error, corrected himself, and then made another grammatical error in his correction. We have the clip here, So this is what George is talking about from the Elvis Right Morning Show today. Here we go play, right, who does today's phone tap? It's a tag team from Brody and I. Brody and I, Me and Brodie. So I put his name first on there. I gave him but then but then but then he said scary and brod I cut that off because it was more for me about the grammar. So, George, we'll play the clip later. I'll talk about the grammar thing. Right, who does today's phone tap? It's a tag team from Brody and I. Right, So Brody and I, as you know, it should have been Brody and me, and then he corrects himself and says me and Brody, which is also wrong, so it should be it should be Brody and I did the phone tap, or right, it always Broughty and scary. Yeah, but it should have either been Brody and I did the phone tap, or I did the phone tap with Brody Instead. He chose the two wrong versions and corrected himself and was long again, which is technical, right, which is why it's Brody and scary. Yeah, well, I hope you drink dirty water today, George, George, I love, have a great day. You know I'm working with you, right, yeah, all right, see you guys. Smart man that George. Yeah, I couldn't tell, now, were you when you when you did that on the air, when you said Brodie and eye, Yeah, when you said it again the other way. I said it because the other way, because I wanted to do a Scary and Brody. But that was grammatically incorrect. That's why I knew it was grammatically both ways. Both ways you double grammar field. You should grammar police jingle on said Brody and I, Yeah, Brody and you can't say there's no way of doing it yes, there is. You could say it's a it's a it's a. You couldn't just s you should have said. I should have said that. I did say that. You cut it off. Well, that's because you cut it off because I wasn't mad about that. I was upset about you see your grammering policing me grammar ring policing, grammer policing. I think it's grammar policing GM Pololice police. Danielle was pulling over pie Brella police speaking of the funniest pill bottle came to us. Uh, you know, we put it up on the instant story yesterday on the Brooklyn Boys account. It's at the Brooklyn Boys on Instagram. But I think I'm gonna put it up there permanently as a picture so you have that news feed. The pill bottle said. You know, I was like, it was directions for medication and it should have said swallow hole. It said swallow whore. Someone changed the L to an R accidentally swallow whore. So somebody people were like commenting on that in their d m s. They slid into our d m s. I'm gonna read you a couple of those if you want. Yeah, can I just say something about the uh yeah, um, we're still having the and it's fine where people are sending the same picture over and over and over again. Totally fine. It is what it is. But I think we might do we want to cut down on people who aren't from here, who just don't speak English. Well, I don't think we should count that as grammar police. I think like if if the super in new building puts up a sign and he just doesn't read English, well if if if there's if it's funny like swallow whore, you know, that's how about this? Somebody put this on a toilet. It was a sign terrible black duct tape. To whom it may concern, this toilet was full of number two and paper at still stocked, so please be considerated and truugh t r o U g H the paper in into this bag. Many thanks super. And that's from a Hearn one seventeen on Instagram. Yeah I don't she said saw this in a basement bathroom hashtag grammar police. I love it. The thinking of us. Yeah, and then I don't know if that's a grammar thing as much as it says someone doesn't speaking this well kind of thing right, and a lot of people responding to the pillbody we put up. Also, yeah, I was trying to see this, a lot of people putting up groundar police thing. Someone someone wanted to groundar police me about something else. But um, I'm you know what, forget it? Oh? Can I can again? I want to talk about you know my rule? What is my rule about correcting somebody? You have five days to do it right, to be right right right. So there was a story in the New York Post. I'm sure hopefully many of you follow me on Twitter and you saw my post. The story was that a woman on vacation found a dead tortoise in her vagina. Okay, dead tortoise in her vagina. So I tweeted out a joke which I thought was an obvious joke, which got there first. The tortoise or the hair h A I R that is a That is a genius joke. It's a playoff double that is a double ont and at just felt e and t E N d r E because some vaginas have hair. So I said the tortoise or the hair, right, it's a pun, it's an intentional So someone who doesn't talkow me, someone who doesn't follow me and didn't follow me because she didn't unfollow me. The un follow up at t underscore Kaminski with a K right. Her name is Taylor, but it's at underscore. He wrote at David Brody at New York Post, I'm assuming you're talking about the story of the tortoise and the asterisk air h A R E asterisk ah, Like, you know, I'm correcting you. So I wrote back, you know what that is right overhead? So I wrote back, thank you. But it was a joke. It was a pun for It was that vagina hair joke. She I hate that. Why do people she used to know any better, Like now, listen, all of the listeners of this podcast and all the people who follow us and I was during the morning show, they thought it was funny. I I got, honestly a couple of hundred likes and retweets and different things. People liked it, And I'm very happy. She's the only one, the only one that was like, don't comment h r E. Why would that be funny? Because she didn't think you were going for a joke. She thought that she really thought she was correcting you, and you had no clue what you're talking about. She didn't give you credit. Yeah. Also, if you're on Twitter, you should know how to use Twitter. Right. I sent out a joke. Uh oh, somebody tweeted something. Right. I replied to them with a joke, a political joke. The person wanted to attack the person I sent the comment to what's the hit reply only reply to me and attacked me. Even though they looked at their profile and all their tweets they agree with everything I was making a joke about. So I wrote back and I said, why are you insulting me? We agree? Oh, I was trying to reply the other guy. Get off Twitter. Get off Twitter. It go ask your kids how to use Twitter. Get off until you figure it out. That's somebody put. Um. There was a post and somebody wrote, this is from KMC two oh, the Today's Show. Wow. The Today's Show Brody on Instagram put a picture out of a husband and a wife and twins holding the twins in the hospital. And by the way, thank you for not saying two twins because that's redundant. Well there's even worse because they didn't do that. The Today's Show's caption on their own picture was our little hurricane babies are safe to twin daughters. It's always two. That's why they're twins. You don't say two twins. You don't say three triplets. You could say two sets of twins. But it's if it's two people two twins, Kate Nashley Olson, it's twins. They're not two twins, the two twins. Yes, they are both twins, and numerically there's two of them, but it's redundant. You knew I was going to say that. Yeah, of course, well that well, yeah right. Speaking of speaking of Twitter and getting off Twitter, I want to say, how about just getting off no hello? Oh yeah, I want to say hello to Marco Pereira. He's at Sleeping's boring, he says. I finally gave in and joined Twitter just to follow at David Brody, at Scary Jones and the Brooklyn Boys. Um, you have plenty of jokes, rants knowledge, grammar, guests, fuck us and more. I've listened all episodes in order twice now and can't get enough of them. He doesn't have a profile picture yet, but mar goo uh, welcome to Twitter, and thank you for joining Twitter, just for us, just for us. By the way, um, I was thinking that if we ever did a live show, I think we should invite Ape seventy seven. He's got no way to do that. Why, well, you can't write back to people on on iTunes. Well, we don't have, we don't, we don't, Okay, he says, he listens, obviously listen. Well he did tweet the one time, but he did comment on Michael Rappaport ripping him. He should have. Maybe he's listening in to order and he hasn't gotten there yet. Maybe by the time he hears this episode speaking of Ape seventy seven, have we got invite him. He's got to be a guest of the hold On, hold On, we should have. We should have a throne. We put him on where he sits down. Hold On, I have a vision for this and everybody, everybody in the audience at the end gets to go up to him. And when we do a live show, yeah, we do a live show in person if people want to come and talk to us. After Abe seventy seven is sitting on a throne, and then everybody as they pass it by him, and then there'll be one person that calls the Ape seventy seven because they don't yet how great would that. I would, we would have to have that. I want to get in touch with this guy. I will say though we made a big deal out of Ape seventy seven when he was the only person who wrote a negative comment about us, don't tell me we have another one. We have four or five now? Really? Yeah? But here's the weird thing about iTunes, I can't see them. Do we still have five stars? Yeah? Yeah, because we have like a thousand positives. It doesn't really matter. It's like the Better Business Bureau, Like when this is the biggest scam. When companies say they have an A rating or A plus rating with the Better Business Bureau, that doesn't mean they don't have complaints against them. It means they have enough positives. Because the Better Business Bureau, you could have like five people that want to burn you down and still get an A plus. You could have lawsuits pending and still get an A plus because there's thousands of positives. That's why Amazon's great. How many five people? Well, it's the weird thing. Same with Wells and Talkers. We have a couple of negatives, which is which is weird. But if you go to look, if you scroll through all of them, it doesn't show them. If you sort by lowest rated first, it doesn't show them. So I think I think people may have given us a low rating and then not made a comment or deleted it and it stayed. I'm not sure that works. You know what, I'm gonna google. I'll google it. But but my point is we have a few people, and that four or five people out of the you know whatever. So also last week I had talked about how we have X amount of people listening to every episode of this podcast, and I have substantially less people on Instagram following me. So you know, help bother out be great. If you first followed us, well you've said that before and people haven't listened. Well I'm up to thirty thousand, which which is okay. But it's not like we need to get your more follows. I need to give me more followers. I need you to keep putting tagging me in posts. Um, we're talking about lobster on The Big Show. It was lobster Day yesterday, it was today was National Lobster Day. Um, do you know that there's a clear difference between a main lobster roll and a Connecticut lobster rolls Now, the truth is that a the Connecticut lobster roll is clam pizza on it. No, it has no mayor No, no, no, there's no mayo. It's a butter. So Luke's Lobster one of our favorite lobster real places. They really offer a Connecticut lobster roll because they drizzle butter on it instead of mayo. Yeah, and and and by the way, it makes all the difference in the world. So if you're not a fan of mayo, but the lobster roll from Maine traditionally it's like sometimes it's the lobsters even chopped up has celery and mayonnaise. The lobster roll from Maine is the goopy, looks like coleslaw with pieces of aster in it. Don't put don't put celery in it. I don't want the extra color to make it look because then I have to like this. Yeah, I'm a fan of the Connecticut. Don't put crap in my Connecticut lobster rolls well, because you can put butter is clear mostly if you put butter on lobster and you can still see that it's lobster. Yes, once you make it a roll, you can be putting what is that like not squawed. What's that white filler? Yeah, it's um oh, I know it's Oh, it's it's like the fake crab. Yeah, it's a crab, but it's terrible the type of it's the stuff they use it in sushi called crabs. No, no, it's a thing. People are screaming right now with it. What fish do they use to make cramp salad? Hold on? Really? Yeah, it's it's drawing a blank so they feel they actually fill my lobster roll with that. I don't want filler. I want pure lobster. They just had for pollock pollock. Yeah, I don't want pollock in my lobster roll. Yeah, it's it's serreem right, it's it's ingredient seremi no imitation and crab as usually pollock invitation crab. That's called crabstick. It's terrible. It just looks like crab, but it's actually chemicals and all all kinds of the process shredded fish. You're talking about when you go to like a deli counter and they have that white the white shards that have red on the side, they make it look like crap. Well that's what's ship. Well yeah, but the thing is if I'm getting okay again? In honor of National Lobster Day, which was just the other day, don't you think we should be getting lobster with no filler in it? I want to know the best lobster places. Let's go. I'm a lobster will fan the mat. No, I was just I was just I'm salivating right now. I was just thinking about something else. Okay, I'm thinking about something else. I'll mention what it is later. You mentioned no killers, no fillers. Just got me thinking about Yeah, all right, Um, we got a lot to talk about today we did. I want to I want to talk about a day of birth problem data birth, a cashier that I had a problem with. Um, two cashiers I had problems with. Let's see if I get to both of those. I want to do an update on a couple of rants. Well, let's I want to do this post Malone bit. You keep problems the post Malone bit because post Malone obviously the song Psycho. You need me to pull the song up because I think I need to get that. Yeah, you want to pull it up? Yeah, I have it right here, I have it right here. Well, i'll tell you what we're gonna get to the post malone bit. Um. I wanted to update something last last week we talked about getting my car fixed, and so I got the parts to my Hunday, my wife's Hyundai, and uh, our buddies at Grand Primotors because they have a body shop. I'll going to do the body work on my car for me and uh, I couldn't be more excited. Let's get that update there. Our visit to Grand Primotors on Corneld Avenue in Brooklyn was very fruitful because we had LMB pizza and we got to meet everybody. Uh. We love Steve, we love Raft, the entire crew, and uh, they have an entire team of people waiting for you at Grand Prix, but you don't have to be there in person. In fact, we found out when we visited them that most people that buy cars from them never even meet them in person because they do everything online and it's an online world. I mean, it's not your it's not like your parents where they would spend hours and days and weeks going from dealer to dealer. Oh the drudgery. Right, I don't do that anymore. I may have mentioned earlier today that I like companies that have websites that compile pricing for you. They do that. You can go to Grand Premotors and they will get you pricing from any kind of car you want, any color, any make, any model, and they will find you the best price. So you don't have to worry about, well do I go to that dealership with this dealership, what kind of car do I want? Go to their website. They'll take care of for you. They're at Grand Premotors dot com and it's spelled g R A N D p R i X motors dot com. We spell motors MT. People know about motors Grand pre Motors, well, the Grand Z, but it's the Pre You know if you allow them to deliver a car for you, and they will give you a hundred dollars cash back. When you mentioned the Brooklyn Boys, mentioned the Brooklyn Boys upon delivery of your car hundred dollars cash back. I can't stress it enough that these guys, they are a full service place, so they do the automotive repair, but they have access at their fingertips too pretty much any make and model and they will get you the best price. They do the shopping for you. It's not like the olden days where you spend so much time going to dealerships. You do this all over the phone. What are you looking for? You do it online? It's uh, you know pretty much. Mercedes, BMW, Kia, Honda, you name all of them. They got it, all of them. And you know what, I know we've been talking about the website. Go ahead and get him a call. I'll tell you why seven eight to two. You can rewind the podcast. You want to hear that again. I want to say eight to too. I'll tell you why you should call them first. I liked them, We really hit it off with them. But they all walk around with the EarPods. Yeah, they're always on the own. Yeah, so you don't have to worry like you're gonna call that. I gonna be ready. The best part is Brody and I were having lunch with them and the guys like hold on, Ralph, Ralph put us on hold. He was standing, there were standing and he just takes a call, a quick thing on the phone for like two minutes. He goes, I'm like, what was that? He goes, oh, because I just sawd another car? Yeah, what was it? But he got because he had gotten back to somebody who was looking for a quote. Test drive what you want go to and you know you narrow it down, Dan, you bring these guys in at Grand Prix. Can we do post Malone? Now? Yeah, you have lyrics? Okay, here's here's here's how you hold on. You know how we do like unused jokes. This is an unused bit that's terrible. By the way, this is a bit hard on this. Well, I didn't work that hard. You're just a hard I did. I am listen to this. Yeah, I don't know what the hell he's saying. Well, I didn't do well post malone. Psycho to the course, damn right, the guide and my cocain really trust nobody with joy my rooflip show got damage comes. Okay, he repeats himself, so himself, but he changed He changes the last line. Um after boatload, he says the second time. He says, don't act like you and my friend when I'm rolling through my ends, though, can I can I actually translate when I think it might he might be saying, because I don't know, I didn't look at that well, I was gonna tell all the same thing what I think he's saying to. Okay, then, yeah, you're probably more close, uh than I am. Okay, So then so should we take it line by line? Well, I thought he was saying, my ap, go, my ap whatever that is, right, it's going psycho, all right, my ap going psycho. So he's got a gorilla and it's going nothing right right, by the way, we know what the lyrics are and we're gonna we're gonna tell you what they mean. But this is what we thought. So good Michael, Uh, I'm in my bed like like Mico, like Micael, like Mike O, keep going, okay, really trust nobody can't really trust. No, that's fine. But here's the part that kind of angry be. The first time I heard it, I thought he said with all is Jewish on you? Right? And I was like, why does that mean? What all is Jewish on you? Right? What does that mean? Like you know, I could figure I heard him. I'm sorry to say jewish too. Okay, So go on, marout look like a no show. Whoever Marut is. He didn't show up. See to me, right there, I know what that means. What it means, this is okay, Okay, he got diamonds by the bolo, so like the bolo could be like the local dealer of diamonds. That's my thought. Again, we know what it means, but that's what I thought. Okay, what's the next line? No, no, that's don't talk like you, but you didn't. Gotta go back to the Tony rush. Then I have to start over again. Let's do that again. You gotta jump ahead ahead, come with the Tony room. Yeah, and then closet all the bozos. Is that what he's saying. No, that's basically he just mumbles and goes oh at the end, right, But that's not he's actually it's a well thought out. So here's what he's actually saying. Ok right, you want to do wanna take a line by line? No, no, no, no, damn, he says, damn, my ap going psycho. I'll explain what that means in a minute. Little Mama bad like Michael, can't really trust nobody with all this jewelry on you, right, because you don't know who you're right? Okay, hold on my roof. Looked like a no show. Got diamonds by the boatload, Come with the Tony romo for clowns and all the bozos. Yes, okay, now stop right there. So I do know that his father is the director of food and Beverage for the Dallas Cowboys. Under late no, no, no, no, no, it is not because Dallas Cowboys. He became a Dallas Cowboys fan. So Tony Romo used to be the quarterback for the Cowboys. Tony Romo also wears the number nine. And when he says come with the Tony Romo, he's talking about a gun. He's talking about a nine millimeter Come with the Tony Romo meaning so it's kind of like a triple. It's like a triple. You know this is true. Though I I read up on this. I have a different explanation. So no, well, Brony, I don't know about that. Again, his dad is the director of food and beverage for the Dallas Cowboys. The Dallas Cowboys fan. So he mentions Tony Romo who wore number nine? Did he not? And he's like, come with the Tony Romo meaning I'm bringing my fucking nine millimeter two clowns on the that's what is the bos online? No, so let me let me go through and the clowns and the boes. I found a website that very humorously explains the song. So he's so he's he says, my ridiculously expensive Uh, this is how I looked up how to pronounce this? An a P is a watch? It's an auto marp gay right, Yes, my ridiculous expensive orto marp gay watch is very ostentagious and full of diamonds. In addition to that, this young woman that I'm eyeing is very beautiful. Not beautiful to imply that I think she looks like the late legendary king of pop, Michael Jackson, but beautiful as to where I'm using the title of one of Michael Jackson's songs called his album Bad and using it as a positive descriptor how beautiful she is to me. I just want to let you all know that when you wear a bunch of jewelry, you have to be extremely cautious around people because they might wish to do bad things onto you. This is true, Okay, but wait, the roof looks like a no sheld on there. Also, in case you haven't noticed, I'm driving around in a convertible car that's currently right, that's the my roof, meaning the roof there's no show. There's no no roof that currently has the top let down, so that I can show off all the diamond jewelry that I'm wearing, from my teeth to my ear, to necklaces, to bracelets, to my watch, all the way to my rings. By the way, I agree with you all the way on this. Now when I come with the Tony Romo that is a reference to professional football player by the name of Tony Romo, which people apparently like to use his name as a synonym for denoting that something bad is about to happen, because Tony Romo has had a propensity to choke in the playoffs, including when he when he mishandled the field goal kick. He was the holder. He was the holder for the He wasn't even the quarterback at that point. He was the holder. Well, he was the holder and a quarterback, but he was in that he was the holder, and he was It was in a muffed punt, a muff field muff right. He said, now that we have that understood, I want to put all you clowns Emboso's unnoticed to not approach me with bad intentions like Tony Romo. Once again, I want to remind you about my then he then he sings the second course right, and in the same four lines, the same three lines and a different one. Right, once again, I want to remind you about my ridiculously expensive watch and the starting beautiful woman who was more than likely attracted to my watch instead of just me, because I probably wouldn't have been able to get her attention if it wasn't for this watch. But then again, as I've already stated, I probably can't really trust her at all because of her attractions on my watch and all of my other ridiculously expensive gordy jewelry. But hey, who cares, because I'm here to remind you that I'm driving around in my convertible car letting all my gordy jewelry be seen. That I can come up with another excuse not to trust people around me when I'm wearing all this jewelry for no other reason than to be seen. But let's face it, none of you are my friends. And then finally the line, don't act like you my friend when I'm rolling through my ends. Though if if it wasn't for this money and jewelry, I probably wouldn't have a lot of people trying to be my friend. So that's what he's singing when he mumbles blah blah blah blah blah. Oh okay, but they're are rapped. Genius is also saying that when his ap going Psycho, he also maybe it could be a reference to action points from the video game series fall Out, since Psycho is an injectable drug that added a p in fall Out and fall Out too, So now these are video game references. Post Bolone is a huge fan of the Fallout series. He has a tattoo of the game's Vault Boy mascot on his leg, and in late he tweeted that it's it's one of the only games he plays. So, Brody, I don't know, man, are you saying I learned what I'm just I'm just telling you that there's some altern meetings here. Alright, Well, he's a deep he's a deep guy. Hold, let's let's get him on the show and we'll ask him he wrapped a hold on? Wait now when now listen, my roof looks like a no show. That stuff we can agree on, Brody, Yeah, okay, we agree on that. He he coincidentally, uh so he One of post Bologne's prize possessions is his nineteen sixty six Lincoln Continental convertible, now with the suicide doors probably right, you know suicide doors are those are the ones that open the other way? Yeah, the opposite way, right, they opened back, not the front. So, along with his many cars, Post loves his diamond jewelry coins dently. Lincoln Continentals are often called boats one because of their size and boxy look compared to the sleek, rounded cars we see today. So his his boat looks like my roof look like a no show got diamonds by the boatload. It's like kind of like a double No. It doesn't hold on Tony Romo line here it is Tony war Romo were number nine, therefore coming with it. Tony Robo implies he's coming with a nine millimeter handgun to protect himself from indecent people. Post is an unashamed Dallas Cowboys fan. Even though he was born in New York, he grew up in grape Vine, Texas his father works for the Cowboys. Heard that a bunch of friends those are the clown as a character created by Alan Livingston. It's too much, too much, but I'm telling you hold on. And and by the way, the guys who created rap Genius are all white nerds. I saw a documentary on them. God bless him. They were brilliant, brilliant. How about this one, By the way, have you seen speaking of the Genius guys, the guy the CEO of Rap Genius or the founder. I've never him. Okay, so you know the new um Sasha ban Cohen show, Who Who Is America? Yeah? I haven't seen where he pranks people celebrities and puts them in awful situations. He gets the guy, he gets the guy from Rap Genius and makes him look really bad. Really why really, I don't want to give away what he does, but he put because he does some green screen the guy. He doesn't make him look bad. He puts him in situations where the guy makes himself look bad, really bad. Like that's the thing about that show. And by the way, everything that came out about that show before it aired, none of it happened. Oh really, it's all fake news. Yeah, well it was people heard highlights or sort of pictures. I know, I remember when that was in a big thing in the news. He didn't make fun of a war veteran. He played somebody in a in a that rides uh, one of those rascal scooters. Who's not a war it's not that, but but but my point is it's a very uncomfortably funny show. It's cringe worthy, but the rap genius guy and he really makes look good. By the way, that's what Sasha Baron Cohen is known for. Oh yeah, yeah, um all right, so then are we okay with the post malone bit? Because I think I think I'm good. I did want to play a clip from I think this was it was Cable News this morning. Uh they were, ye, you've done this, We've all done this. Well, you're talking about something and you use like a two or two word phrase and you switch the first two letters from the words. Of course, so the guy was talking about something that was could go either way. So play the clip if you can hear it, I'll point out to play it twice. And there is still is it's still a tin cost because if if you lose two members like yeah, he said, it's a a cost instead of a coin toss. There is still is it's still a tin cost because if you lose two members like right. Nobody corrected him. He just kept going, yeah, well, there's nothing wrong with that. I mean, people know what he means. No, but you should go I know it's cable news. We should be like he said, twin coss. He's like I was when I back in the day when I used to work in uh, when I worked at Chuck E Cheese my supervisor at the time before I became a supervisor. Can you switched the to the Chucky and the I can I switched the sea and Chuck Chuck actually with the C and cheese. Yeah, that's mistakes. By the way, people think the E is an ampersan and they say chuck and cheese. Dude, it's a scripty relaxed. The E stands for entertainment anyway. Uh, my manager told me to go in the refrigerator and bring out another new bins of chauce and c's another one chaush and c's sauce and cheese. Oh and uh yeah, is that a problem? By the way, is that some you know sometimes people Also another restaurant I worked at, we were making clam chowder and I was told to get uh calorie and celer it's calorie and celer it's celler and carrots. But yeah, twin costs. I'm okay with that. Yeah, but that was funny. Um see, Oh, let me ask you a question. You're gonna let me always thank you. Let's say you're on the phone with someone. I'm gonna get an upset here. I tried to be nice because I needed something. I called up this company was to pay a medical bill. And the woman says to me, what's your daughter's day of birth right? So I say, this is not her day of birth right, but I'm gonna tell you that what I said the year is right. I said her birthdays one, three, zero, and she says what year? What years? And I said zero and she said two thousand, and I said, yeah, not dred like I don't understand the question. Well, it just oh, I didn't know if I said to you, I mean, it's not the future, and it's not she's not a hundred and eighteen years old, so it's gotta be zero. Well, so I said to right, it shows well you should have said zero, zero or just two thousand. And I asked Jake, our producer video producer, Jake from the Twentiesomething's Doing Nothing podcast, and he said, I don't know. I said, your two thousand. Don't want you to say two thousand because I put zero, Well you should put two zeros. It's the year zero zero zero, whether it's double zero, triple zero or no. I know, nobody calls the year two thousand zero, but you you were just being uh, you know, a brick, right, But if that's like no, no, if you were born I know, but you know common common if you are borned, would say if you if my daughter was born in two thousand five, let's say five, what okay? But you if I said she was one three five, you wouldn't know she was born in five ye five sounds awkward, but I would know because smart. Right, she's playing the nut role with me. What year is that? Years? Five? Thing? No zero? What year do you think in nineteen oh five? Yeah? Right, my daughter is a hundred and eighteen years old, right, she's born into nineteen hundred stupid stupid stupid. Yeah, it's like two twins, like either she's dumb or she was trying to be like you know, well, she just wasn't used to hearing that, And any time the human ear hears things differently, we start to wonder and we start to question. I've given my daughter's day to birthout for her whole life zero right at zero? No one' seven said a word? They got it. They right, right. It's like if you said you felt like like my, my, my, my zip code starts with with a zero. But you don't say zero. You say oh, oh whatever, you don't say zero. You say oh, because it's this woman would have said, what number is the letter? Oh, I don't understand. It's easier on the it's easier on the right. It's easier on the pronunciation. Oh zero, Now, I will say on when we get out the phone number for the Olvi Strand show, it's it's eight d Well. Yeah, right, but we should say we should know we say zero because it sounds like Z one hundred the radio show. So it sounds like Z one zero. To bet you didn't know that. That's I bet you didn't know moment that we say it that way, two to zero one sounds like Z. All right, said as that, let me read a couple of a couple of tweets if I may, uh, just email No, no, no, no, it's not just a couple of tweets. We read him Marco. Al right, I want to read Marco. I read Horror, which correct me. Uh. Sean Gastner writes to us, Oh my god, I was laughing, so hard about you standing in line at the grocery store. I I am most sure what I am most, but I'm sure she meant I I almost I almost paid my pants. Um, here's where I got called soft, Sean implied, I'm getting soft on who? Well? She said, seriously, Brodie, you at her go ahead of you? Uh? The woman at the Delhi counter last episode, listen in order? Um? And uh where I let her go even though she didn't take a number. I was being nice. She said, I would have went ahead of her. By the way, it would have gone right, because would have his past ten, so went shouldn't be And I mean it's it's would have gone right. But that's not why I read this. She as I would have gone ahead of her. She didn't get a number. But this is what she says after you, after you took a soda from the Chinese restaurant, you let this woman get ahead of you, meaning I didn't let them get away with the with the dumpling fiasco last week, and yet I let this woman ahead of me. I guess it all depends on your mood. I suppose, Uh, Rosemary at row Mendy trying to make dinner and tears are running down my face listening to episode fifty three of Brooklyn Boys, David Brodie rant about the lady who didn't take a number at the supermarket. You fuck you? Uh born in New Jersey, my dad's in Brooklyn hashtag listen in order so she she liked that. Um I did get a complaint. I got a long complaint. You want to hear it. It was about the grape soda. So well, okay, and then after that, uh, somebody wants to take us to task. All right, it's about the grape soda. Okay. So, as you remember from last week, I told you about the Chinese restaurant that kept me waiting more than fifteen minutes for my session on my wantons and seschion on oil because they didn't have any wantons and had to hand roll new wantons, which meant, I guess, boiling the skins, getting them to be wantons, putting the meat in, cooking it whatever, and then putting the sauce on whatever. But at no point did the woman say to me, hey, we're out of wantons. Do you want to wait fifteen minutes or do you want something else? Because it would have gotten something else. So in my in my displeasure. I said, you know, you could have told me. She's like, oh, she's just kind of stared at me. Whatever. So I said, you know what, I'm gonna take a grape soda and we'll call it even, right, because I wanted a grape soda. And I told you, I'm I can pay for the grape soda. By the way, Oh my god, a fanta? Wanna fanta? Don't you want to want to find? Okay? So I took the grape soda, not diet regular Welch's grape soda, and I was like, we're good. And she looked at me like yeah. So a couple of people like, well you kind of stole it. Well, you did steal it. I didn't steal it. I cleared what. I was like, we're good, right, I didn't have a gun. And I was like good, Like other words, I'm gonna take the thing because you kept me waiting. You tak advantage. No, I didn't do advantage of somebody who barely spoke English. See that's that's where you're offensive. I'm not offensive. Advantage perfect English either way. Well, you just because she worked in a Chinese restaurant that doesn't mean anything. So I can only assume that she was authentic in the sense that she works in a Chinese restaurant. That's correct. That doesn't mean she doesn't speak well. But either way, not well, well, don't quite well speaking well with English. It's not speaking English, you speak your other language really well. You didn't speak any other language. I'm just saying, it's like on our show Gandhi. She's the advantage of a woman regardless of what language. You're assuming she didn't speak and and I'm right to assume that you were in a Chinese restaurant and was speaking to somebody who probably really not speak English when I go, because when I go to an authentic Chinese restaurant, I have authentic Cantonese or Mandarin people serving me, and and their children who were born here don't speak English perfectly. But you're just assume. You're making that assumption. But I haven't. I spoke to her, I was there. I have a right to make an assumption. Oh so if I go into the offensive, though, if I go into Theian, that's the way I'm If I go in to get pizza the Italian restaurant, or I go for Italian food. Should I assume they speak Italianato speaking this well? You could, yeah, you could know, you could assume that, No, you could work there, you're Italian, I know, but it wouldn't be wrong for me. English wouldn't be wrong, it would It's not offensive, dought it's offensive to have that thought. It's not offensive. It's it's actually logical. It's not logical. Why is it logical to think just because someone works in an ethnic restaurant that they don't speaking this well? Because I feel like, if I'm ordering Mexican food that the people there are gonna speak Spanish because I because I chances are I went to an authentic Mexican restaurant. Why can't they be descendants of immigrants? They could be. And it's not perfectly well, yeah, but it's not offensive. It's not offensive for me to think, yes and no, it's not. It's not offensive for me to assume that that Spanish speaking people work in a Mexican restaurant. Setting this podcast back, it's not offensive. You're snowflake, like your offensive. You know you are a snowflake. You don't know what it's like to not hurt. It's not but hurt it's snowing. I'm trying to help you. You're saying that I'm being offensive by assuming that the woman in the Chinese restaurant. Here comes Spruce, Spruce. We're gonna talk to spruce. Spruce on the loose. Let me ask you a question, what spruce is black? Should we assume he speaks African and doesn't speaking you know, you're twisting that. You're twisting in an African restaurant. You're twisting this. No one does not be got the other one. Here comes Spruce. Oh my god, Spruce, come on, fuddy, my man. So I'm telling hold on a second, hold on, and don't twist your words. I'm telling a story, already telling a story in the middle. By the way, we got sidetracked on the damn story. I want to hear the end of it. Okay. I told a story last week. I was in a Chinese restaurant near my house. Okay, And I think last week I explained she's a young girl, maybe two, young girl, and I ordered, you know, like the session on dumplings in the hot oil sauce. Right, yes, Oh that's spruce, ladies and gentlemen, Okay, Spruce with the accent. Okay, hold on, think no Spruce did an impression. Hold let me let me finish the story because you were in a Chinese restaurant. Let me finish the story. Okay, okay, verdis being a snowflick. No, I'm not. I'm don't finished story. They messed up my order, took fifteen minutes to get my order. They ran out a wanton and she didn't tell me. That's what I said. But if you know you're out of wantons, My point was, don't keep me waiting fifteen minutes. Yeah, man, you say, hey, you want to let you know we're out of wantons? Do you want to wait fifteen minutes while we make new ones? Would you like something else? Right? That's good customer service. So I wait, wait, wait, wait, wait fifteen minutes. I finally get it, and I say, and I say, why was it so long? We ran a wan tons? So I go, well, I said, well, why didn't you tell me? She gives me to look like what why didn't you tell me? I was waiting to the end of the story, so I said, So, I said, you know what, I imploy, you know what? You should do something good for me because you messed up, and she's like why, Like, what do you mean? You know, my free dessert? So I said, I look over to the refrigerator. I said, oh, you know what, I'm gonna take a can of grape soda. We'll call it even. And I take the grape soda. And I looked at her and I go, are we good? We even were good? We're good? Right? We do? You know? He didn't say are we good? You said we're good. We're good, We're good, good good, And she looked at me like yeah right. She just looked at him and he walked out. So yeah, he was balls. By the way, that's an asshole move right there, But that end of itself not an asshole move. Hold on, asshole move is not telling you, okay, that's something that's not the issue yet you can comment on that. That's not what I want on that moment. I don't know if that's the asshole move. Is pretty ballsy, but it's on that asshole line. But but who's but she was wrong not to tell me right now from the gate. Now, when you go in a restaurant canna soda, when you pay the distributor, it's like twenty cents yeah, but that's not your soda to take hold on. She could have said, I don't know. She could said he can have it. I said, but you kept me waiting. I'm gonna take a soda. He was pulling a free dessert move on her and taking advantage of her. Does she understand what you were doing? Thank you, Spruce first. I love you mom. Man, it wasn't I wasn't there. Yes, she completely understanes. No, she's confirmed. Yes, she confirmed the grape soda. Yes. So I said to Brody in the moment here, I said, you took advantage of somebody who probably didn't understand English very well. And he went off the rails on me, saying, why aming just because she worked in a Chinese restaurant that she didn't understand English, you know, But I said, it is it is an actually logical for me to assume that I'm adding an authent Cantonese or Mandarin restaurant where if you're serving me food Chinese food, I'm I'm thinking, I'm assuming that you're you're there, and you're and that that is your I'm actually going to be quiet now because somebody else in the stoet him in a minute hold on okay, so so well. So I actually I was telling Brodie and he started yelling at me. Why did you just assume that she was now hold on? So so My point was, if you go to a Italian restaurant, pizza place, you don't assume the guy doesn't speak English. But it's he said I was a says you're being offended to say that you assume that the Chinese restaurant, I went into that she didn't understand that I was taking the grape soda right. Never in my story when I told the story. Yet last week on episode fifty three, I was very clear that we talked. She said were out of wantons. She didn't say, she didn't say what wanton no more, she said right right so so so. So my assumption, even though she heard me say she spoke, my assumption was that he took advantage of somebody who didn't speak English well, and he would never do. But he said that it was offensive for me to assume that she didn't understand English well in a Chinese restaurant that is legitimate, it has and he went to a southern barbecue place. Would you assume they had to have a southern accent or they had to be. If I went to African restaurant, they have to be, you know, afant. I totally understand where you're coming from, right, But he listened, listen, I got no horse in this race, so it was poor. He did say I wasn't there, but he said she understood what he was saying, and she said we were out of dumplings, and he went for the He went for the dessert move and she was like, okay, go ahead. Yeah she shrunk. So what happened after that? I walked out my grape soda. Now now your studio, now end in the studio. One of our audio producers in our comedy department, Mario Mario, Mario Mario. First of all, Spruce, was I being offensive by assuming that she that that he took advantage of somebody who didn't speak English. I don't. I don't think it was offensive. So you think it's okay? He just to hold on, let's ask Mario. So Mario a little confusing, Okay, so I know there's a hold on everybody to repeat this. I'm gonna get the short. First to last week, I told a story about how I was in a Chinese restaurant, and the girl behind the counter at the Chinese restaurant, Okay, said we're out of wantons. That's why I waited fifteen minutes of my wanton order. Out of wantons, right, And I was upset she didn't tell me that a wantons at the beginning, like Spruce agreed, she should have said, sorry, it is obnoxious, and he could have She could have said, as as Spruce commented, and from the getting she should have said, hey, sir, we're out of wantons. We want to wait fifteen minutes. It will make you something else. But she didn't. She kept me waiting every time I asked, how much longer? Another couple of minutes. So when it came, I was like, you know, I was like, why did it take so long? She's we were at a want at the end. Well, it's kind of you know, I told us, like, that's not really right. You should have told me. Oh, I said, he's just gonna charge me nine dollars whatever it was, and that's it. It's really weird that it took so long for something that didn't even exist, right, that's right, So I said, I looked over to the refrigerator, so that sodas and I don't normally buy grape soda because it's a sugar. I was like, you know what, my daughter likes grape. So it was like, you know, I'm gonna take a grape soda for the weight, and so I took it. I was like, we're good, and she was like she gave me like a shrug, like yeah, you're good. So right, So I was like, grape soda for my weight, which was an asshole thing for him to do because he just went over to the soda fridge grant the free sea. Now, Mario, whose last name ends in his z is Hispanic, right, where what's your family history? Cuban? Cuban? Thank you? Okay, So you've got a little bit of everybody in here, right, And it's scary, scary, says I said, I said, scary, says I think it's I think it's offensive. You went into a Chinese restaurant and you you made that ballsy move and you took advantage of her. It's hard to know because we have totention and on and I said, I said, I think you took advantage of somebody who probably didn't understand English very well. And that was pretty bad. And then Brody came back at me and said that he was that I was being offensive to assume that she didn't understand English very well. Classic real housewife moved even though, but even though she was Mario your Cuban. When was the last time you either worked in a restaurant or went into a Cuban restaurant and nobody there spoke English when he went to Cuba. If I walk into if I walk into a Cuban restaurant in America, most likely you're gonna have Cuban people behind the counter serving your cafe. Mario is Cuban, right, Mario say hello? Hello? Right? Did he say allah? No? He said hello because he's Cuban American. There are Chinese. Okay, okay, but let me that Mario Mario, I say Mario, but he says Mario versus Spanish. That's more offensive than hold on, hold on, Mario Mario is not if Okay, what do you see what he did that too? He calls people who are Hispanic Spanish. That's a that's a language and what people are after from Spain. Brody just insulted. He made you Italian, by the way, but calling you married, I made my axe. Everybody in this building calls me Mario. Okay Mario, because I'll call you Mario. Yeah, you call me Mario. So the point is, should I go into any restaurant in New York or any city and assume that because it's a cultural restaurant, if I go into an Irish parfect him not to speak without an Irish accent? No, I mean it might if you go into a Chinese takeout, you're going to Is it offensive for me to assume that Brody was was being too ballsy because she might not understood English? Different, That's two different questions, she said. The question is whether or not you should assume they don't speak English. Would never take I would never take advantage of someone because of a disability or a language. But Brody said I was being offensive. Okay, Spruce, I love you, Spruce. Mario. Let's get your opinion. Then, am I being a am my offensive? He says, that's offensive for you? It is an offensive to call you stand English and then follow up with is it kind of like a little offensive for the put you under in broll and call you someone and call you Spanish? Right right? You're not from Let him talk? No, um, I mean I don't know you. I know you're speak Yeah, I mean I don't I don't know. I kind of not really, I don't know. It's hard to really because how else do you make the point, you know what I mean. It's like, I don't know. That's tough. He's a drummer. You've just added nothing was that people can speak English, and you just disproved that day exactly. He's just he's a drummer. He keeps the beat. Mario. I'll tell you, right, if you walk into a Chinese restaurant and you say, hi, can I see a menu and they say, sure, here you go, here's your menu, are you completely blown out of the water that they spoke without an accent? Right? Scary? Is like dumbfounded. I double back and be like, this is in an authentic place. I want to go to where the people have our first generation America. But that's but that's getting rarer and rarer those restaurants have been I'm making fun of you. Yes, more rare and rarer are both words. If I said more rarer, I would be an idiot. But it's rarer more rare. You can say rarer. I don't think rarer is a word. Grammar police, you, buddy, rarer is not a word. It's more rare. But anyway, all right, let's go to Google and check and see if rarer is actually a word. Either way, I feel bad for both of you guys. It's quite You work with Brody every single day for hours at a time, and this is what he does to you while you guys are stuck in that glass rare, not Mario and Spruce worker Brodie for the rest of them. Every day looking up I would my hair dictionary dot com rare, comparative, objective, adjective, rarer, rarer. I'm sorry, I've never heard the word rarer, David, your vocabulary you know how? You know? Because I said, that's how you know it's a word? Please using a sentence, please, so yes, So it's becoming rarer. Yes, it's becoming rarer. That I have to assume if I walked to an Italian restaurant you working there, that you didn't speak Okay, we happen to live in New York City, in a cultural melting pot where neither one of us live. You can go to the Cuban restaurant and the people there are authentic Cuban, But why can't they be authentic Cuban and also speak perfectly authentic first generation because I think that by fourth or fifth generation you might have lost Grandma's recipes and from the old country. Grandma, my grandparents, my grandparents were first generation Russian. They moved here from Russia. They spoke perfect English with no accent, remembered all the recipes they got off the boat, legitimately, off a boat without two candlesticks. That's all I had was the family candlesticks. And they spoke perfectly well with no accent. They worked at a Russian restaurant. They would talk like little They would talk like, Hey, can I get you some borshed? Okay? Would you like blints? My feeling is that how you getting a better culinary? I'm getting Aulary can't even speak English. Culinary culinary it's pronounced either way. I'm betting getting a better experience if I choose to go to an authentic restaurant. And to me an authentic means, in my definition, is someone whose first generation off the boat American, the boat off the boat from wherever country you came from, and that country's cuisine and they brought it here from the country, and I'm eating at your establishment and paying full price and tipping and not taking from Let's say let's say a man comes from China opens up a restaurant. I trust him. He's had it for ten years. He speaks with Then his son works in the kitchen. His son grows up. They've had the place now for thirty years. Son's taking short. His son is working at the counter while he's in the back cooking your low mate in the same way he has since the day he came all here. His son says, can I help you? And you want to want tons? And he says okay, And fifteen minutes later he says, cook that's in the bad cooking. He doesn't speak a word English, but his son, God bless America was given an opportunity in the greatest country in the world. Take your hat off, we're talking about So he's in the kitchen, stirring like father, his father. Okay, in the kitchen, stirring like a stir frond. Okay, Okay, that was good, Okay, fine. That he's at the counter. The food is still the same food. His father teaches him how to make lomaine. He makes lomaine he's at the counter, and he says really like, okay, that's good. You have to assume because the kids at the counter and he speaks perfect English, that my lomaine and my dumplings aren't gonna be good. Shame. Now, I will say, now, no, now, when people say, come to America, learn English, not, according to Scary come to America, don't learn English. So he'll come to your restaurant and think you're more authentic. That's a lot of restaurant for the parents. Five minutes. Frus No, that's okay. I just I understand both of your points. But I will say this, you guys know where my family's originally from, Africa, New Orleans, New Orleans, right, aren't you a saint? Like this whole conversation. He won't let me do the Asian accent, but he'll on. I'm just saying, and I bet you make the best gumbo. I don't. I don't cook. But to your point, there's a saying. There's like a saying if you go there and you go to some real like real people who are from where I'm from, back in the woods and Covington outside of New Orleans and stuff, and you'll go where can I get some good gumbo? Somebody will eventually tell you, I'm gonna take you somewhere where you can't understand some I'm gonna take you to a backward a Cajun place where you can't understand what they're saying. Thank you. That's one example. It's an anecdote, but but it's everything. What's your favorite pizza place in Brooklyn? Defaris? What's your second for? Guess what? That guy's from Italy? Hold on, you know, but his family makes the pizza now because he's too old to make all of it. But what's your second favorite pizza? Elm right? Not my Italian people, Not one person working there is Italian. But yet the pizzas fantastic. But that's just one example, because I can go in the other direction and say I want the best barbecue. So if I'm going to the best barbecue in New York is not barbecue I'm talking about. If I'm gonna go, if I'm going to the belly of the Beast, where am I going? That's right, But it does say that guy doesn't speak English. I am not gonna forget to get Kansas City ribs. I'm going to I'm going. What I'm saying is, in this case, I'm going to the source of Yes, I went to the girl was Chinese behind it? Kind of a source of great Chinese food is in Asia. So if the people brought it here and opened up a restaurant, I love going there every time. Yes, but if they speak perfect English, it doesn't affect the taste of food. But I never said that. I said he did he doesn't speak English. That you said that, you said if you speaks then you said, if the sun speaks perfect English. I'm not going there. He flicks up the food. Said. I'm just saying that you said I was offensive. This whole thing started because you said was because she worked in a ches said that I was offensive. I was offensive for me to think. All I'm thinking is that you have great, great choices and great Let me question food, the questions your question. If I tells you, okay, I'm scary. If I told you, if I told you I hired a housekeeper, what does she sound like? I don't know because I don't know. I don't know where you got her from. Yeah, I don't know how you hired it. Right, What is it if you had a hard what if what if I hired a housekeeper who sp spoke perfect English, could she not clean the house? Well, I'm sure, what does you have to sound like? What you imagine your sounds like? Calean, you're not comparing apples and oranges. Course, you're not putting No, you're not playing on the same Talking about food versus somebody having its occupation has nothing to do with COO said, if they speak perfect English, they can't cook Chinese food. Well, by the way, your coworkers are laughing at you, right, I'm sorry, am I just like disagree and just for fun. It's like, I don't think so, I don't assumptions on people with an occupation of that house. Okay, how does cleaning a house having to do with bringing your entire cuisine from you your your homeland to another country. You're not, You're not. You're talking about the same thing I'm gonna say. I'm saying that based on someone's occupation, you assume they speak a certain language or accent. That was the point of the occupation. I specifically said food in a Chinese No no, no, no, no, you said, because she works in the Chinese restaurant, she probably doesn't speak well and didn't understand me. I said that maybe no, No, it's a family run. You said, she probably didn't understand me. Why I took the grape soda because she works in the Chinese restaurant and the occupation. You said, I probably said it's wrong, took advantage of a girl. He probably doesn't speak over us. I'm over this whole thing. This has been enlightening. It's always the ones losing. They quit. Winners don't quit. Winners don't quit, they keep winning. I just feel bad for anybody listening to this podcast right now. I think it's because, Brody, you're so goddamn thick headed. I'm thickheaded right arguing there's agreeable. The only reason why we're having an argument is because you tried to call me out at something. I can't wait to see the tweets that call you out for being for being offensive. You're a dick. You're a fucking dick because I didn't mean anything by it, and you called me out, and you have said I was offensive, but you call me off of being offensive on something that was actually a logical thought that most people were thinking. And then and then Spruce came in the room, Black Guy and agree with me on because because he's normal. Because he's normal. Okay, so so so if a guy says, if a guy says that women don't work is hard and everybody agrees and laughs about it, that makes it right. You're throwing you're you're throwing these examples out and no one said that. No I'm talking about I'm saying, you're like, oh, Spruce, agree with me, So I'm right. There's always no matter what your theory is, if you guess what the same goes to you on your side of the tapes. People agree with me, there are people disagree with me. This is the only child syndrome coming right back into play. The only child card is the only child? How is it? Because I if two people have an argument right, and both people feel they're right, and both people feel strongly about being right, how can one of them say, look at him, he thinks he has to be right all the time. What the other person clearly wants to be right. I'm just the only reason we're arguing is we both think we're right. That's how what argument happens. Okay, but look at Prodi's an only child. He thinks he's right. Brodi's getting him. He got himself worked up. He put you put yourself. Why why don't the middle child guarded him? Because he's the only right, because he's the only say something that. Let's let's let's you could both agree on we both haven't we both there's that that, but we both agree. We agree on our favorite hot dog and Cody Island it's on Nathan's. Oh, and it certainly isn't. It's Feltman's. Boys. Look, should we educate them? Have you guys had Feltman's hot dogs? Feltman hired Nathan. You're hearing me. Nathan worked for Feltman Spruce. He left to start his own company. You know the deal. You know how that that's people steel recipes exactly what the point is. Michael Quinn and his brother decided to open up Feltman's and said, you know what, we're bringing this thing back. They have the brick and mortar on St. Mark's place in the East Village, and they got the spot that we went to. But by the cycle, there's no nitrates, there's no night triates, there's no filler. It's f E. L. T. M. A. N. S of Coney Island dot com. Order it from Amazon, Jet, their website and in person and Morton Williams and Mrs Green's in fair Way. Al Right, So there you go, So go get some Feltman's. Thank you for stopping boys Spruce. Thank you for mostly agree with me and partially agreeing with scary Mario, thank you for just being here and not really adding to Thanks for being cube, just like, yeah, love you guys. Now, Scary thinks all Cubans don't get too conversations. Now you did. I never said that. He's putting words in my mouth and see what I'm saying. All right, gentlemen, thank you? Wow the hell me? You are yelling just as loudly as I was. Alright, So so you know, I'm I think I'm gonna skip email. We just I mean, wow, where where do we even go from here? Well? I think I think we should talk about, um, your unused jokes. I only have a couple of those today. I have to say, uh, oh, you know what. I didn't read the tweets saying I was wrong, So I just want to read the one the one Instagram d M right, Okay, so I might even give her name because his name they I guess, it's just I can't tell. Uh. They wrote you took it too far with taking a grape soda for having to wait too long. You always expect a perfect customer service experience, and it's unrealistic. Cut your losses. I love your rants, but your food food Chinese restaurant story wasn't cool. So I wrote back, you misinterpreted the soda. I told her she should at least give me a soda from my weight. She ultimately agreed I would never take anything without permission, so she as this person, wrote back, not what I meant. I know you asked first. What I was trying to say is that I think I didn't think it was necessary for you to feel you needed free dessert for the long wait. It seems like every single customer service interaction you have is negative. Is a negative one that results in some sort of call to corporate or free dessert. And I wrote back, I got you peg, And I wrote back, not all, but many. There's lots of bad customer service that most people accept. As for the soda, she kept me waiting nearly twenty minutes for five minute order, and I felt the least she could do is give me a soda, which is why I said, is this good? Like a thing? So that was a long walk in the park for that ending of that story. But okay, what story we started it? And then minutes finally came back to yeah remember that how how that started? All right? So I have a couple of used jokes. Elvis was talking about, oh you have one, Yeah, I got one. So the other day on Jeopardy, Yeah, Alex Trebek asked the question about meet me in St. Louis and how it started, and we all know that clan clank clang with the trolley, so it wasn't how it started. They said, this song starts with whose sound effects? So at three sound effects? So and and so someone said cling, cling, cling, and then something bang bang right and then and obviously the answers clank clang clang, Charlie. So Elvis went into the montage of singing different sounds that it could be. So I said, was it gulp, gulp, gulp went the Elvis, which is actually a uh yeah yeah yeah anyway, so yeah, Elvis did not use that didn't get used. Surprised. Uh, Speaking of Elvis, the next two unused jokes were related to him in some way. Uh. We were talking about the victorious Oh he went on stage at the Heart Radio Music Festival, which I wasn't at, with two Victoria's Secret models and uh Victoria's secret excuse me, and he said he they were like flirting with him, like for in a fun way, and he said he has to have to have they had brothers, and I said, oh. He was like, they used to do an all male show. Like, I don't know, the woman's fashion show doesn't interest me, and so I said, oh, that would be called the Victor's Secrets Victor's Secrets Fashion Show. Hitn't do that. Uh. And then this was my, um my favorite joke that he didn't get to. Uh. He was talking about getting married and we were talking about maybe Meryl markle that you mark Yeah, you know, uh, something old, something new, is something borrowed, something blue and so she had something that she so she sewed into her dress or something that was blue or I don't whatever the story was. So he says, I have to figure out. I was talking to Alex's fiance goes, what could we use that something blue? And I said, how about one of your ex boyfriends? That's you're blue? No excuse me. And then to day, Jeff Probs was on the phone calling in about season thirty seven of Survivor and this season is David's versus Goliath, not Verse versus Goliath, and he said, yeah, he goes he asked him if he was out of ideas or where they come up with the ideas, and Jeff said, he's the show runner. He comes up with the ideas, or he approves all the ideas, not the network. And so he goes, because we've done everything, he's either it's gonna be rich versus poor, blue collar, white collar returning people like because we're running out of ideas, so because we need something we haven't done before. So I said, it's a joke. People. Half of you will be offended and half of you won't hear this. But my joke was, how about blind people versus deaf people? Bro Are you being offensive? Yeah, you're offensive, Brodie, that was offensive? Like, all right, meltalk, that sounds like it's what do you got? Welcome You've got? You can always email us at the Brooklyn Boys Podcast at gmail dot com. Teresa wrote to us on the subject of ironic. Hey guys, I'm not one that can even remember the last time I used the word ironic, but because of your conversations, I had to look up the actual definition and according to dictionary dot com, the number three definition on dictionary dot com for the word ironic is coincidental. So, Brody, it doesn't look like they agree with you. A long time listener on The Big Show and to your podcast, Love you Both. That's from Teresa Raypack in Woodbridge, New Jersey. So apparently ironic does mean coincidental. So Atlantis Morrissette was right all these times, all those days, as most of the things Atlantis Morrissette said as we talked about one coincidental or ironic. All right, Well she sent the definition. I don't. She says, ironic means coincidental. All right. Brooklyn Boys podcast for Alex Grammar violation by Scary Jones, What's Good Fellas wanted to point out Grand Police violation episode fifty three while you were talking about Brody taking his free dessert at the Fu Fud Chinese restaurant. Scary said a whole another another's not a word, my friend, Sorry to put you on blast. I don't avidly listen to listen to podcasts, but the ones my girlfriends listened to my girlfriend listens to I always do. Yours among my favorites from all of my girlfriend's podcasts. Thanks for the driving conversations. I hope you send me a ruined invisible shirt. Thank you and f you. Well, um, okay, my bad. Then I said a whole another. I I said it on accident because I do know better, I said accident. I said it by accident, on accident. All right, Well anyway, okay, here comes another one from Cassie grit Savage. Ha ha ha, fucking Accura. Don't you know it's Vin and not VIN number. Oh my god, Brodie the accurate fine financial services on her account information right there on an on the invoice, they say VIN number. How does a car dealership with a financial service get that wrong Vin number? They wrote Vin number. They should know it's Vin. Yeah. By the way, if you look up on dictionary dot com, another is a non standard spelling of another used to represent informal speech, which I knew, which is why I looked it up for the exact phrasing. So you're saying it's like right, it's like when you say cause instead of because as long as you spell it with an apostrophe another, then it's a. It's a. It's an informal way. The apostrophe shows that the A would have been there. So you're trying to say that I was right. Wow, I was right on that one. So rule number one of correcting people be right. And by the way, I just looked up irony versus coincidence. I'm still right, okay, Joseph Ranga brooken boys. Love you guys. I'm a night custodian at a high school. Been with you some episode zero. Look forward to Thursdays for the rants and the small bickerings back and forth. Well today you got a big one. Uh. Seems like I'm hanging out with my friends. I listen to all the morning show podcasts. Uh. And because of my job, I go hours without seeing a single person. This really makes the time fly. Thank you and funck you age seventy seven. Don't tear apart my grandma. I failed English and I got held back, which is actually how I met my wife today. Thank you, Joe Ranga. I love hearing about where you listen to this podcast? Do they listen in their car? This guy's a nicostodian. Also, some people writing an amber striker talking about the balloons couldn't decide how to address you, guys. I love you both listening in order since episode zero even got my fiance listening to you. The longer the episodes, the better. I can't get enough of Berdie's rants and free dessert Anyway. Episode fifty three. You were talking about age balloons. That's the foil balloons that people use and when they walk around with them in public saying their age and when it should stop. Well, I'm a twenty six year old female, so my friends are those girls with those foil balloons. It's definitely getting old seeing it all over my social media. I went home, I was on Facebook and I saw the funniest photo that my photographer friend posted. Anyway, I thought it was hilarious, immediately thought of you guys and thought I'd share. Can't wait for another one from Amber Striker and she also liked Danielle on the podcast with us, And basically it was a picture of a woman who's ninety eight years old, Brody and here she is with her nine and eight her foil ballue helium balloons. Years old. Thank you so much. All Right, that's all. We'll skip the rest of the emails. Now. You got to go for it cold onld On. Oh, Matthew Bras, that's Matt Bras, twenty three. I tweeted out yesterday that it took me almost four hours to get home because of the flash flooding in the New Jersey area. He said, stop a Taco Bell. We can all use another good Taco Bell rant. By the way, my coupons arrived. I got four five dollar off coupons at Taco Bell for that's the second one. The other one I got was four different coupons for one free item, So I got my two rants were answered. Although nobody called me. Is that someone was gonna call me? They have yet to call me. But the kicker, now I have to go in this store and use them because you're fucking coupons for my bad experience at the drive through are usable. There's no code to use on the app, there's no q R to scan, nothing, So fuck you. I appreciate it, but would be better if you were professional and you updated and your ship was was on point. But it's not. Also Heather Gonzalez at Heather jeb or gab g b B. This is what she wrote. This is my favorite, one of my favorite tweets of the week. You know you listened to at David Brody on the Brooklyn Ie podcast When your waitress asked you for your drink order and you say diet coke, no ice and you don't even drink diet coke. Um, Louise Cato. He wrote in the subject lying, what opp what up? Brooklyn Boys, It's Louis Cado and I don't give two flying ships if you say my name on this podcast. Here is some more Harlem talk. What is that I love all of your ships? What does that even mean? I've been listening since day one. I can't get enough of it. Please don't mind the grammar. English is not my first language, but it's the only language I speak. I'm having a hard day. I dropped kick and reset the day by listening to the ups Rant, one of the greatest ones ever. Any who, thanks for the podcast and keep rocking and then finally kill pro procopsin I just butcher that ship you did kill? Hey, Brodian scary. Yeah that's right, I said, Brodian, scary. Use fuck use. Huge fan of the podcast. Twenty your plus listener, The Big Show, Nfellow, Brooklyn Knight, sixties second and Baby Parkway Boys. Here's what I want to know. Nice, that's what Tank Fong used to be. Yeah, I missed that Chinese restaurant where by the way, they all in there. They were all spoke broken English and they had the best fucking Chinese food. Okay, scary, the place clos years years ago, and I'm thinking that out, but that was two generations of people ago. But you have to understand something. They had the best food, not because move on. Okay, Scary, you don't really sound like you're from Brooklyn. I don't know why, but I just don't get that Brooklyn attitude from you now. Brody. In the other hand, I can relate anyway. I love your podcast. Keep up the both the good work, both of you guys. Keep those podcasts nice and long. I'm a fellow Brooklyn Knight and Russian Jew. Okay, you do realize that free dessert is just a Jewish negotiation, right, I mean, that's the way we were raised to be. Oh no, I love use guys, and Geary. I'm just breaking your balls. Hashtag fuck Foo Foo Kung Pao, hashtag free dessert, hashtag fuck you a seventy seven hashtag even is not even hashtag felt hot dogs. Nice. Um. I want to just reference one thing real quick and then and then we have to we can move on. But I'm looking at our numbers, you know, I love looking at the numbers of our podcast. Oh boy, which which one are we having? A problem with not so much a problem spot. But I'm looking at we're up to episode fifty three, right, I'm looking at forty eight Uh Salsa, steak and snowflakes. That was a great one. Uh forty nine scary won't pass the mic, pass the food, or pass up free a free trip? Uh fifty one Wicker, I didn't even know her. Fifty two You're never too old for chocolate milk. Fifty three The Brooklyn Boys Mom's call in one shows love to her son. One doesn't all with the right amount of listen so far, because we know how many listens per week we average, and we know, like, oh, what's wrong with number fifty Of all the ones I mentioned, that's the one with the unbeaped phone taps. It's it's it's it's offensive and sexual and hilarious unbeaped and it's a bonus epide because we were on a vacation that week, right, And maybe you guys were on vacation. Because we were on vacation, I think that's what happened. It's a little bit lower than the other ones, but let's start listening with all be bringing it up because it's such a unique episode. It's and it's it's like mind blowing to your phone tap that isn't beeped. So I'm just saying, if you, I mean, you guys listen in order. I don't understand how that happens unless you're listening to all the other ones twice the give fifty a whirl or tell a friend about fifty. Now, we are so excited to be doing this appearance.
