Speaker 1: Start data start up, Brooklyn Boys start up, Brooklyn buys data. They're making noise data up episode. This is the Brooklyn Boys podcast, Getting ever so closer. I smell it to one hundred. I smell that one hundred, smelling six more to go. We gotta do something, do we really? Though? I feel like we do. Why Why is one hundred that number? Because we have ten fingers and ten toes and we're everything is multiple multi we had nine fingers the different number. With our juvenile humor, we should have commemorated number sixty nine. I think we did. We did. How do we celebrate that? Well? We did sixty eight? We did you do? Me? Allow you? One? Was the name of the episode. I know, But how do we celebrate? Don't you remember? You were facing one way? I was facing the other? Is that how it went? That's how it went. I'm looking. I'm looking at our numbers for who listened to the last episode, and then I'm looking for the numbers of writing us off for the summer. I think I feel like people are on summer break right now. I feel like people are less engaged with things that are all you know, things that are audio based. I feel people are No. Yeah, I'm looking at our numbers. We are. We are doing last episode incredibly well. So I think people have taken us to the beach. So you know, you think that people are listening more. I think if they got more free time, Well, here's my one thing, because I would just take a vacation from all of that. I'd love to try and experiment. And it's asking. It's asking a lot of you, of of the slicest of you guys. If you go to our episode and you listen, right, we get a credit for that. We get one one play right, But if you download it and you play it again and again on your phone, we don't get any credit for that. So if you're someone and I don't want to use your data, I'm not looking to drive up your bill. And if you haven't limited data, if you're on one that normally downloads the podcast and listens to it more than once, I'd like it if maybe just this episode, you don't download it and just listen to it a second or third time like you normally do. If you normally do, I'd like to see what the difference in numbers is. So we're doing it like an experiment, right, that's what I'm scrip benefit us. Yeah, because I'd like this because people say, well, how many times people listen to your podcast, Well, we don't actually know if you download it. So it would be nice if you could just throw us a bone and will report back if there was any difference in a couple of weeks when we see if there's a difference like that, you got off your chest. I had a great time. I was down in Miami. Yeah, you took off two days Friday and Monday from my show. I went to Miami and I also went to Yeah, I gotta say Costa Rica. Oh my god, that that's Luke. Hey, hang out one second, buddy, we are you're gonna meet Luke in a second. Bro Okay, I meant Luke at the Fountain Blue in Miami. Oh. You know why I didn't meet Luke because I wasn't invited to go to the That's a whole That is a sore spot for you. Well you're still having trouble walking from that. Yeah, I got fucked. Well that's a whole other story. But um, I'm gonna point out to the to our listeners that every morning on this morning show, there's only six people that are in here for the whole show. Those six people are Elvis, Danielle Gandhi, Nate, Scary Brodie, and Andre t is not in here the whole Showgy Froggy doesn't stand in the studio the whole show. Okay, so there's six people that are in this room, and Froggy's already in Florida, So that doesn't really county six people in the New York headquarters every morning, four hours every day. Five of the six went to Florida. I don't I'm not in charge of the budgets. Yeah, you're never upset about it because you're one of the five that went. I'm just saying it was difficult. I have to say difficult before we watch in social media about the parties and the food and all that stuff. Starting the party. Yes, you did, So I went. You were like, So went to Miami. We were chaunting Blue, We're hanging out. I know you were. You saw everybody. All right, Well, I'm not trying to brag. That's not the reason why I trying to brag comes natural. So so I ran into this dude, Luke, cool hand, Luke, Luke, I am your father. So Luke Luke approaches me at at the at the hide to the pool party comes over and he says, scary, yo, slice for life, man, what's up? Hey, where's Brody? Where? Thank you? Thank you? Where's And I'm like, oh, dude, he couldn't make it. Yeah, I couldn't make it because I couldn't get on a plane without a ticket. That the hotel room, Luke, isn't that how that went down? He's exactly how I went down. I went up. I was liker, scary, where's Brody? He couldn't be here. You didn't say that, you didn't want to. You just said you didn't make it. But I didn't make the Yeah, thank well, thank you, Luke. Even I didn't make the never mind, I didn't make the plane. I didn't make the list. So but anyway, so I know it's horrible. So so, Luke, it's a dude. I have. I have skills. I have a gift. And I said, well, what is that? He was I could freestyle. I could freestyle anything at any time, with any topic. So I'm like, you know what, I'm like, I want you to do something for the Brooklyn Boys podcast. But I said, don't tell me now don't because he started going into his routine. I said, save it, save it for the podcast. Now, Luke, Now look, you're gonna freestyle, right, but I gotta ask you before your freestyle. Are you one of these guys who starts off with my name is Luke, And I'm here to say if that's the case, I don't. That's every white guy wrapping everybody. Put your hands in the air. Air, you're not You're not that guy. I could be that guy if you want me to be. But listen to what I got and is what I got to see what you're in back with the Broken Boys, the podcast, everything and every day. Oh your phone's cutting out, bro, that's just no. You gotta start over any you gotta start over. Say that again. I said, if you want to give me a topic, you know I didn't write it, it'll be a little looser, but I can do it on any topic. That's how I basically started staring about podcast, just the podcast, and about how we love pizza. You know we have something. Yeah, you love pizza. That's why you look. Everybody understands. That's why it's not less to get it and you go ahead chill them back. Bertie gains scary, scary and Bertie, I gotta stay it both ways before you get mad everything I do. I don't like this, that's right, yep. I didn't even write this. Just recite this. Have a fund and you like this. Pimoni Gardens Elmbid, that's where you've gotta slice this. It's okay, John, It's a little good in New York, but it's understood if you're like and you want to go and get it, when you want to hit it, when you want to reck it, when you get it, when you show them back and you want to go Brooklyn Boys podcast, Let's get this show a nice. I think we're gonna give you a cruise for that, straight whole cruise straight here here, Hey, I think you a cruise for that. Luke, Hey, Ny, how you doing don't We never got to meet you either, No, I was hiding. I'm sorry. I gotta stay out of the sun. But I saw actually Brody actually smiled, which never happened. So congratulations on your first time. Yeah, I didn't smile in Miami. Thank you very very much. I go by skits on the Boss s k I t z o d a boss, Instagram, Twitter, all of that, go ahead and plug yourself. You just did. He didn't we promise him a cruise. I think we did. Let me work that lan Ferry is free. You get to see you get to see the Liberty. It's a cruise. I gotta go there. But he left. They's walking out, all right, So you're gonna have to follow up with Nate. You're gonna get a You're gonna get a cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line. Congratulations, Luke, that exactly what I need. Okay, on a cruise. Well, well, we'll enjoy it. We have. They didn't forget to invite Brodie to that Brodie guy invited my scenes. But so that's absolutely right. If the slices are listening and confused, like, why then did these guys just give a cruise, it's because Elvis the Brooklyn Boys didn't give you a cruise. We well, we we suggested that take that we'd like you and have you part of the Miami thing, but we don't have cruises to give away. No, but Elvis did. Profess was just like, give the guy a cruise, let him, let him, let him wrap on the Brooklyn Boys podcast and give him a cruise. So so on behalf of Elvis. It's indirectly you got you're getting a cruise. Congratulations. Well I appreciate that because I guess we went down to the South and Blue and nothing worked out there. And answer, I really appreciate you guys thinking you're what you guys are amazing. What did you say, you're what you said? You said, I'm amazing. Thank you so much, Thank you very much. Well they enjoy the rest of the episode, And thanks for being a part of it. And that was a great rap. You worked everything. We like you, Luke. I thank you very much. We'll get in touch with you to follow up to get all your information. Okay, buddy, if he doesn't, you already have our email, so I know you'll. You'll get in touch with us, all right, Bendy Luke knows what it is. Yeah, we like every time you see people trying to wrap even now, like like when they put like older guys on TV, you know, like always I'm here to say I got it's the easiest rhyme scat and and and yeah, say you could run a million things with sa and I'm he here to play And that's the way he was good there. You heard that a little liquid lips. So after I went to Miami, I went to Costa Rica. I spent a couple of days there. By the way, you know what he did, I did interrupt. I loved in, dropt in drop you. He didn't rhyme the keywords necessarily, he rhymed the end words, which no, he didn't say like Bronian scary. They really loved that. Pizza really great to meet you. Like he didn't do that. He was like, pizza is really good. You know I would like it's almost like the pizzas irrelevant. He did a nice job. But a lot of times like uh, that's what they do, like um the roots on Jimmy Fallon. They'll do like write a song on the spot for an audience member, and they'll they'll do stuff like oh she lives in uh in Hoboken and like Hopeboken his wish she lives charities what she gives those broken right, But they don't rhyme the hope. They don't rhyme the hard word. Now sometimes they do, But he didn't rhyme pizza. I was That's what I was going for, all right, Well, anyway, you can't win them all. You were in Costa Rica a Florida. You had a rough week. You flew down to Florida on Wednesday, Wednesday night party Thursday night, which is, by the way, why everyone got a and their episode of the Brookens Podcast on a Tuesday, because I had to leave on a Wednesday on a Tuesday. So you're welcome. You got it early, but not today because we're here and it's a regular week for us. So yeah, and you were rising me about the a TV situation not going on in a TV now, Okay. We talked about this that you had a fear of riding in an a TV and I did and I still do, and you we talked about ways you might fudge the video to make it look like you were in an a TV at high speeds. You're gonna speed up the video. You're gonna bounce up and down in it so look like you're going over hills, super close ups. You don't know where I am a lot of and you're gonna have your friend throw dirt into the windows so it looked like you were update you. Yeah, you claimed why I conquered my initial fear of writing a TV s. I went on a four hour tour. Oh nice, job four, our tour of up and down, up and down the mountain. Um when we got to the mountaintop. Okay, you're doing more references again. I got to the mountaintop and I went to a restaurant. We were up there, and then it started pouring rain, and now we were going down in the mud. So I got to experience all terrain and all conditions and thirty thirty all different terrain. Terrain in the rain stays mainly on the plane. So I pretty much did you go fast? Yeah? You were? You weren't last waits for you guys. First you ketch everybody behind slowing you everybody down? Yeah? Becay like that? Well, well the person were the least experience, please come forward. You guys have to go right behind the tour guide. You were number two and everybody else was right behind me, so we were definitely number two. So they eat my dirty number two at your top speed if they were eating my number two. No, I did well. But I will say, there's no video. You gotta hide on you. You gotta hang on tight. What do you mean there's no there's no video. You Instagram. Everyone who follows you on Instagram knows you document everything you document? You documenting here, I am filming this. How am I supposed to document it? I'm I'm I have both hands on the handle paker. You have found a squeezing tight Nobody behind you could film. I don't know footage, no nobody. There's no picture of you sitting in the a TV. If you are riding in a TV and people help me out here on this. You have to have both hands squeezing the handlebars at all times. Go pro. I don't gonna go pro. You couldn't pull over for a second and take one selfie of you with the helmet on, you know, in the car we did. There's footage of before this footage of you going look those are a t vs, the footage of this, footage of all of us on the bridge halfway through, sweating our balls off, but nothing of you in the car. Nothing, and then the video of us after pulling it, pulling into the garage. You're a guy who bragged about faking it, and now I don't see any proof you didn't. I really did. Don't go back and watch my video. I tweet us at David Brodie, at Scary Jones, at the Brooklyn Boys. That's see. By the way, I'm not still on verified on Instagram. I'm gonna have that fixed. Yeah, and neither is the Brooklyn Boys account on Instagram. Yeah. My kids don't think it's cool that I'm I'm very fun on Twitter. They think you gotta be very fun on the verification on No. No, it's true though, being everyone can get verified. That's not true. That is not true most people. Okay, but it's cooler to be verified on Instagram than it is to beat on Twitter. It's a rare How do we get you verified? I don't not to apply. I haven't done anything. David Yeah, oh again with the David fucking Brody more tweets this week that David Brody from CBN, the Christian Broadcasting Network, more vile tweets at me, and more importantly, more pro tweets at me that I don't agree with. So, but here's my thing. If you know this guy's name is David Brodie CBN, right, you tweeted him, while are you also tweeting me? Why do you tweet both of us? And then why does it take two weeks to apologize? I go, can you delete it? They go? Why? Because that's not me? Like a week later. Oh sorry, funk off social media if you can't figure it out, ridiculous. I gotta, I gotta can I just say, I don't know where to start with this podcast with all the stuff. Look at my desk here, I have unused jokes. I've got a shipped to pick on you about and just complain about that I have, I have, I have a kip everybody has a problem with scaring hold on. That is the Brooken Boys podcast. I have a confession to make regarding Elvis's book. Oh is it a stunning admission? Hold on, it's a it is. I have something you have to confess, um and hold on. And I have a FiOS rant that I've been talking about. I don't know if I have enough oxygen in my lungs for this one. Because I also had two fights yesterday just I had I had won during the show I had a fight, and one last night I had a fight. We also have I'm not gonna have time for all of them, yes, and we also have a three hours sermon by the Jersey Kid coming up. Not oh yeah, I'm kidding. I just I just And I have a great update in the I Heart Radio podcast that will help you with the jersey. Kid. We'll talk about that right after this. No, we're not. We have to. We have to talk about our scent Bird. That's right, man, Right after we talk about scent Bird. Don't just bring me to commercial like that. Not that this isn't a commercial, No, but I want to say, we gotta talk about sent Bird because it came in very handy. I talked about how I was going to utilize it on my cruise, right. I said, I was gonna look for cologns that were good in cold air, and I brought my product and my Kenneth Cole to Costa Rica with me. I brought my Kenneth Cole and my Versace perfect for traveling. We're talking about scent Bird, s c e n T bird dot com. You guys, know, a lot of a lot of times people are like, you know, they have their their cologns or their perfect the one cologne, their giant bottle of cologne sits there in your medicine cabinet or wherever you keep cologne. It collects the dust and then you never use it again. You're the guy who smells like the the one bottle of you know, the guy smells like that bottle, So why not get smaller versions but a variety of really cool designer stuff like Versaci, Gucci, Gabana, cent Bird. Dot com has it all. They'll have you smelling good um day after day with a different scent. Uh four hundred and fifty designer brands for you to choose from. They come in little little canisters dred and twenty sprays per Cannis. It's a thirty days supply. Now. We checked our bags going to Alaska, so I put a couple in the bag I have to worry about taking on the plane. And it was great. But here's the thing. I put it on and you know, you don't always smell your own cologne. You hope, you hope you smell well. You hope people around you smell it well. I was on the go carts on the Norwegian Cruise. I was on joy the and they have go carts. You have to wear like a motorcycle helmet when you drive the go carts. So when I put the helmet on and the visor down, the scent of the ken of cold cologne I was wearing was like bam, right in my face. You know, I was like, you know what I smell pretty good in his helmet. You do, so next time you have a helmet on, make sure you smell nice. Is my point. It's a luxury fragrance subscription service. We're talking about sent bird, and right now we want to give you fifty percent off your first month. That's half off, only seven dollars and fifty cents for your first fragrance right now dot com slash Brooklyn. That's right, sent bird dot com slash Brooklyn and use the code Brooklyn for fifty off your first month. S C E N T B I r D dot com slash Brooklyn. Try your first Cologna perfume for just seven fifty Sign on and smell amazing. Now what do you got? Okay, first of all, let's remind people what rule number one is. What's rule number one? Be attractive? That is correct? But in correcting people, oh one right, right, okay, if you're going to correct someone, right, So two people corrected me or the show this past week and more wrong. One person on Twitter corrected me about something sports related and said something about that's why the Mets are always losing something to that effect, right, and they spelled losing l O S S I n g lossing that that is irony, and losing right that is irony. Now, speaking of irony, I was on the phone last night with Geico. My wife got into a little fender bender, right, not our fault, they're paying for it whatever. So the guy is looking. He said, I have to you verify my age, my birthday, the whole thing. So I tell him my birthday and he says, now, he says, oh, that's your birthday. That's ironic. And I go, he's I know he's wrong. I already know he's wrong. He says, my birthday is only three days away from yours. So I said, well, sir, that's not really irony. It's a coincidence, coincidence, but very nice to have you in the club. And he was like, what, it's aquincedence. It's not irony. More often than not what you're describing as a coincidence. It's very rare that you actually are in an ironic situation now, I mean it can happen. And he was like, oh okay, like he didn't really get it, and I was like, it was more for me, I corrected him. More for me, I have to admit I am or who I am okay. In the second one. Okay, So we had a tragic shooting last week. We had two of them, but one of them was in Toledo, Ohio, in an area of Toledo called Oregon. Okay. Now, Oregon is a state, right, and it's pronounced Oregon. But the area of Oregon, Ohio, is pronounced Oregon. Well, it it's Oregon. It's the Oregon UM District, district, district they've been. I've been there by the way, I said Toledo because I was going to make a joke about Okay, but it's gate the Oregon District, which is a group, right, It's a string of streets that that have bars in restaurants. Now, Gandhi, who went to school at the Ohio State University and is familiar with Ohio UM, did her research before reporting that story and saw that it is properly pronounced Oregon. Okay. So somebody texted in, who isn't even from Ohio, you know it's pronounced ore Agon, not Oregon, to which I wrote back, you are not correct. It is pronounced Oregon, and if you look it up, there's a whole article about why they pronounced it that way and had the history of so my point is, if you're gonna correct people, be right. I was talking about the Jersey Kid for a second. He's not on this episode, and we do have to skip ahead jingle right to skip it, skip it good, skip it good, by the way I remixed it, so the next time we play it'll be a little clear it here. I Heart Radio as of this podcast, has is updating. Have you updated you Wrap? Not yet? Okay, they're updating. I know the Apple update is out now I think, and uh Androids in a couple of days. It's not true. Some of the updates are Android first. Anyway. Sure, there's a new feature that iPods had where if you had like an audiobook, you could listen to it faster. You will be able to listen to podcasts in one point to five of the speed one point five times of speed, two times to speed. Now, I'm not saying you should speed us up. Audible offers that already, yes, but now I Heart Radio offers it for its podcasts. You'll be able toten to the elvistrad In Morning show in two times of speed if you choose. But my point is, if you think you might want to hear what great teams talking about but you're not sure you want to sit around for it. You can now hit his part of the show double the speed. Now, look, he's not gonna be on this thing for a long time. The feedback we got was like, we don't want him on there, he'll put him on. Well, no, that's not true. He's still one of our boys. No, we love when he went to long the last time he was on, he kept coming back and know how to control it. No, I said, look, dude coming in for a couple of minutes and say what you gotta say. And you know, we don't mind. We love hearing from everybody. But this guy just went on. Yeah, he like took up its twenty minutes of the podcast. It was something like that. A. Well, but you know, I hate Instagram. Uh as far as the I love Instagram, I don't like the message function because you can't search through the messages. We're like, you can put in a keyword and the message You're okay. So someone I apologize, you know who they are. You don't have to retweet me. I'm sorry. Made a graphic. Let's see if it was uh No, they made a graphic of our logo Rody and Scary, Scary and Brody, the Brooklyn Boys, and they added in the jersey kid at the bottom and then put his picture on it. Uh, that's a big no. That's oh here it is, uh a lap underscore one. Here's the picture, Scare, there's the logo. Oh my god. They put him his face right to the left of ours, right to the left or left to the right, and it says podcast Brooklyn Boys podcast with Scary and Brody featuring the jersey kit. Can we get a screenshot of that? Yeah? Yeah, you want to post that on Brooklyn Boys a little later, Scare, everybody say hey, here's hey guys, here's our new logo. That'll just be that'll just be for us, that little the problem. Uh to the person who sent this, you may want to send it to us again at our Gmail account. Yes it's the Brooklyn Boys podcast at gmail dot com, or tweet us. The problem with Instagram, you know when you expand the picture, it puts the X in the corner right out of it, and the X is ruining the Elvis Duran Presents logo. So I can't post this, so I need you to send it to us, either tweet it to us or whatever. Alright, alright, so that's the podcast update that sounds like welcome. You've got mail the brook his podcast at gmail dot com. As we were just talking about gas Stone, Kakoon said, Hey, guys, by the way, nobody drinks like nobody. I'm from Uruguay. I've been listening to the Big Show for three to four years, and a month ago I did a startup start up, started listen to episode number ninety, then went right to zero, and I'm proudly catching up with the last one at number three. Thank you so much for all the lasts all the time. I was the one tweeting a week back that hashtag not even my language, since my native is Spanish. I was lucky enough to come to New York seven years ago, stayed in Brooklyn since then. I feel in love with the city. Come back every year. Now I'm in New York City for my birthday, I wondered if I can get uh free ship from me? What? What? What? No, it's your It's Uruguay. Are you trying to correct me on this? I was. I was trying to hold on the problem with YouTube is a hundred different ones. Let's hear this one says, hold on, no, it's Uruguay. Trust me on your aga. He can't. You can't trust YouTube. I thought I thought it was Uruguay, and I've heard you Uruguay, but I've never heard I. I say you're you're Aguay. I could be wrong. Um. Anyway, he's begging for a shirt. At the end of the day, this guy, I would pick it up with myself whenever that receptionist is in the lobby, the one with the best left ever. I was talking about Anita. So what he's trying to say is if we could leave a shirt with Anita in the lobby, he would gladly come pick it up. Can we do that for him? Oh when Elvis rand shirt? Yeah, we allowed to give away Elvis to Rand shirts on. That's illegal. I think Elvis would like that. He would not like it anyway, even as not even uh shout out to my man's Bruce, my man, he wrote, my man and Captain m hit the jingle fuck you Ape seventy seven, Agnes, suck you Stacy, I love your bits and there you go. All right, cheers. Excuse my grammar. Remember English implant, thank you gascon Cockhoun. Uh. Nobody fights like us. Also a picture from Luis Aguilar. But the kicker, No, Louise, Who's that Louis Aguilar? Go ahead, go on, Well, anyway, he's a kicker for what team? Every kicker moves around anyway, anyway, he says, uh. It was also a Mexican film Mac. Here's a street in Madison, wiscransin I found and I believe this bitch lives somewhere here, and it's a street sign that says Agnes Drive. So this guy showed us a screenshot of a picture for Agnes Drive. Thank you so much for sending that, guys, I've been wanting. This is from Elizabeth A been U want to see pictures of you guys wearing my shirts? What's taking so fucking long? That's Liz from p A. Remember when Liz sent us those shirts. Yeah, so in my phone, I have a recurring memo that says take a picture with the shirts. Take a picture of the shirts, and I forgot to bring them last DA. Last week we podcasted on Tuesday, and I didn't have the shirts. I forgot we were podcasting on Tuesday, and this week I forgot. We will take a picture in the shirts. I promise okay, um, what should I do from Robert Creagan? By the way, Louis Uh we are Luise Luise Ir without the l was a kicker in the NFL. Before you tweet me, it was Robert Creagan. By the way, that's one of her shirts. Don't tweet me, don't. Robert Creagan said, hey, guys, I don't know if you can see these pictures very well, but it was three am when I took them. If you notice the truck is almost sideways in the two docks. Not only is it in the two docks, this is it does this day to day to day to day problem? Uh scary? This is almost like what happened to you? You're building with the four spots that you have, uh slice for life? How does this person? How does Robert Creagan explain to these people in this dot hold to our listeners past? How does Robert explain? How did how do we solve Robert Creagan's problem? Where these two trucks are pretty much parked like assholes and he says no room for him to get in? What did he do? Did you leave a note? Now you let the air out of the eighteen times? I don't know, I don't know how he fix it? You oh you know you do? You write wash me in the dirt on the truck. That alright, Drew mckennica love the fucking podcast. One of the best decisions I've ever made this year was to start listening to the Brooklyn Boys. I started in the most recent episode, but stopped and started from the bottom. So, man, I'm up to number fifteen. And how to let you know that you guys make an amazing team. Gets into the wow anyway, enjoy you both. You both bring some different things to the podcast. Okay, scary if Oh, here's why I put broody first, because scary you have to stop this fucking birthday list. Well guess what, We're up number ninety ninety now now and the birthday list stopped that like number two. Oh, it didn't have supped it like three. But by the way, in three years, when he gets up to this episode. But what's his name? His name is Drew Joe Hi, Drew, Um, you'll you'll you'll be really enjoying this episode. In two he wants to dress some old issues by Brody. Is fucking steak dinner not a steak launch? Okay, By the way, episode. Hold on, hold on a second. The only fat Jewish I've loved, the only interview so far that I loved is the fat Jewish. And that was only our second interview, wasn't it. Yeah? Oh yeah, no, he likes to fat Jewish. He never knew him before the show. Okay. Anyway, Oh, the only fat you I knew before it was my old roommate, but not not related. Now my old roommate is my second favorite fat Jewish. I grew up on Stern, So Jackie the joke man was great. Okay, he's commenting on that. Uh. And now, lastly, I would happily pay ten cents a podcast for you guys. Nice, But I'm still talking about doing that book better, better, and better. Thank you. I'm binging it every day. Okay, great? So there. Well, I got one text this morning at Elvis Durand Morning show at text at UH. It said start up, start up Brooklyn boys Nate here from p A waiting for episode nine, hashtag slice for life, hashtag hit the jingle, bitch you love that? Hashtag brody? Uh? What was rule number one again? When correcting someone? Be right? I didn't correct you on uruguay or Uruguay about to correct you on something really on Louis Aguiar. No, this is something that came in from an email from a listener. All right, and um now I corrected you when I was wrong. Yes, you did. We had an argument about this. That jingle was horribly produced. It I know you didn't. Jacob broke to us and said, by the way, Jacob could still be wrong Scary and Brod. I used to not care which name came first, but then Brody was incorrect while he was correcting Scary. Probably the most cited rule on your show is if you're gonna correct someone, be right absolutely. During episode which is the last episode, Brody was talking about his bones to pick with Scary while you are correct that you are the one that I want from Greece was not the original Broadway show. The name of the song it's You're the one that I want. You're the one that I want, right, It was not the original Broadway show and that was dumb as Scary to cite the song as part of the Broadway production during the morning show. But as you were correcting Scary, you continually committed a cardinal sin of theater. You called the musical Greece a play three times. God damn it. This is a huge difference between a musical and a play, Brody. I would expect that you would know the difference. A play is a theatrical show driven primarily by dialogue and pantomime, while a musical is a play with music being the primary teller of the story, hence music. Oh, a play will never have musical numbers in it. It may include sound effects and an overture, but those are not musical numbers. Greece is one of the most popular and important important musicals ever. I love the show, but you're wrong, Brody. There's a way to make up for it, though, give us the free dessert podcast. We've said, Okay, that's not happening. I love you guys, So there you have it. Uh. Slice for Life is a musical a type of play. According to the Internet, a play and a musical have their roots and entertainment and performing. A play, known as a straight play, cannot be a musical, but a musical usually has a dialogue or script that tells the story and therefore can be a play. And since it has a script, No, here's the thing. Well, I don't have been a wrong a couple of things. Some musicals, every bit of dialogue or the dialogue is music. Right. If you go see a musical like Street, they'll do like, hey, how are you feeling? I'll tell you how I'm feeling and they start singing, right, Greece has a script and then they break into song. It's it's not second of all, hold on, His point was that when you correct someone be right right? Was that his point? Okay, my correction was that you're the one that I want? Isn't in the Broadway show? That correction is correct. But no, no, no no, no no. But if he feels I made a mistake in the terminology, that is not that my correction was wrong because that song is not on the Broadway show Grease. But and I did point out something that you were wrong about. Okay. Most of podcast, most of the time, I refer to things as Broadway shows. Our our podcast is nitpicky to the core. Is the movie Grease a musical or a movie? It's a movie musical, it's both, and as I just read to on the internet, a musical with a script. But it's not a play called just yes you called a musical with a script is a play a play can have songs in it. Not according to this person, that's not true. This guy's wrong again. You're wrong in the analogy of rule number one, and you're wrong in the in the hey, Gandhi, Gandhi, would you admit that a play is not a musical, but a musical can be a play? Thank you? Musical, a musical can be a play? Yeah, thank you. Play cannot be the play has no music, but if musical, if a if a show. Would you consider Greece a musical or a play? It's not the question, Yeah, yes, musical, but is it also a play? We were we were discussing Greece the Musical on Broadway because Brodie was trying to correct me. I didn't correct you. You said you said your favorite song from the soundtrack of the play was You're the One that they Want. Which it's not a play. It's not a play the Broadway show. It's a musical, but it's not a play. Right a musical Shakespeare, where it's all spoken word to be or not, we've established that plays aren't musical, right. Squares trapezoids aren't squares but squares the trapezoids. Okay, okay, you're out. There on your own on that one. It's true, thank you, And a musical that is mostly script like Greece can be a play. It is a play. Those people are doing dialogue. This is why Brodie would make the best attorney, because will argue his way out of anything, because right is wrong. Today when he put his sho near my brownie, and I'll put that up to people, what's going on with that? If you just put the pot brownie in your mouth, you wouldn't have noticed it. No, if you were not raising a bar. Let me, let me, let me paint the bad the way the days gentle and Gandhi for straightrning. So there's an area in our studio Gandhi and I share like a corner. So I have the upper counter which cuts across south north right or north south, and Gandhi's counter runs left to right west east east west, which goes about four inches under the counter. That's inaccurate. We both share the upper counter. But because there used to be a tape that you put a piece of down the middle. There used to be a piece of and that was where my ship that was like this side, this is my side right, so like so the point is the top part of the counter that cuts across is about three to four inches higher than where Gandhi usually keeps everything, her laptop, her headphones. And then is this upper counter which connects to Elvis's area, right, and I keep all my stuff on one part of that upper counter, and Gandi keeps her stuff on the other part of the upper counter. So, um, she had a Brownie. I would say about a foot four inches. There's not even a foot. Here's not even see six inches? Yeah, thank you, you want to see six inches? Look like, look, hold on, put my foot up, hold on, Why are you gonna play re enacting miss so Browny took his shot, put his foot up on the counter within six inches of the brown girls. Brownie, I put my foot to show Gandhi something. I put my foot on the lower west east counter right. It was four inches down and about ten inches away. You are so making up those measurements and that is not even close. So yeah, no, everyone who was in the room and saw it, he saw I saw it. Brownie to buy it. Anytime a foot comes in close proximity with it's nasty. It was it was a good satan. Your foot. Your foot came within a foot of a brownie. No, your foot came within inches of my nasty There's not even eleven inches. He's not been like a yard stick. It could have been about three or four inches. So your theory was that stuff jumped off my sneaker leapt onto your brownie like that boom Gandhi became so grossed out she took the brownie threw it in the garbage. Yes, the brownie that was sitting there for an hour. You won't even eat it. I was eating it. I eat slowly because that's what I do. I eat things slowly. You put your nasty shoe near my brownie. The brownie needs to be tossed away. You know you have a shoe problem though, No, I don't have a shoe problem. People who wear their shoes in inside places or put it where you would eat have a problem. Because I didn't put it on the kitchen table. This is an issue because this is how he was raised. I wasn't raised to put my foot on the radio studio. Yeah, he was no, you know he was raised. He was raised as an only child, and he could whatever he wants. Right, Because if I had a sibling, I would know not to put you beat your ass for that. I thought about punching you right in the throat, and then I was like, you can't reach my thing. I would get up there, see what I mean? Gandhi zero consideration for others because he never had that growing up at all. Don't you spit food on people when you eat, because they're telling me that I'm wrong about my thing with shoes and oh it's clean. Did you walk here and you walked? You walk through people? All I said, rat guts And then you put your nasty shoe by my brownie. It was a foot and a half away from sideway. Anything about this is a foot and a half. Get out of no way. Okay, six inches, I would say four inches even if it was six inches. First of all, don't put your shoe where my food is general, that's gross. Second of all, you whipped it up there. Anything could have fallen off your shoe onto my brownie. Never and he never had to worry about that as a kid growing up because he had no to my head, I had parents at the kitchen table. You had not even put my foot on the kitchen table. Put it on the table here? What was I saying? There was some reason I did it. You know what you're really trying to do. You were trying to show off your flexibility. Elvis asked if I could put my okay, Alvis, okay. Elvis Duran was talking about how he's been working out for a year and he was showing how flexible he was that he could lift his knee all the way up to his nipple. So he said, can you bend your leg like that? Brody? So I went, oh, let me see. So I bet my foot. But in the process of bending my leg, I was teetering. I put my foot down for balance onto the counter. It wasn't a foot. Put your foot. Because Brodie takes over every space he inhabits. You give the guy, you give the guy a little bit. He just takes over a little bit by a little bit. Cause my parents chose not to have more children. That's why I do it. It's truly children. You're a victim of circumstances. You have two siblings, your your yes, and you know what, having two siblings, I was able to compromise and be wrong half the time. Well, then start being wrong half the time. Now you know what this is exactly is wrong at the time. How many is wrong. How many siblings did you have. I have a big sister, and I have a bunch of cousins and they all beat the crap out of me all the time, and they were like, you're not doing this. You were taking your toll. You gotta keep everyone. It's checking balances people. Yea. If I had a brother, yes, a Chile, Yes, all those years ago. Then when Elvis asked me if I was flexible, yes, I would think about my brother. You would consider and condi's personal space. If you had a sibling and growing up and that sibling was like you, nasty ass, you just put your shoe by my brownie, you'd be like you right. No, just my siblings would also put their foot on the table because we were raised the same way. Nope, and you have siblings, you learned that some of the time you're wrong. I put my foot there. Not. The vocals don't even lined up. Yeah, because you wrote it disparaging yourself. Yes, because anything for the last I'll do. It can't be wrong because I don't think so. My parents let me know I was wrong all the time. You guys live in a fantasy world where you think like I had a silver spoon and a crown on my head. And I don't think and I sat on a throne. No, I don't think any of that. I think you just don't like wrong. It's why, it's why you are who you all know. My mother is quite like me and points out when I'm wrong all the time. You were wrong to put your shoe on any I was where people's hands, never never denied, especially were food because when I threw the brown making such a big deal. Hold on, I didn't say I shouldn't have put my shoe on the counter where you sit. You kept trying to argue with me about why I shouldn't have throw my brownie. Yes, that's different. I didn't think that a shoe six inches away from your brownie would contaminate the brownie. Well, you're wrong, it can. Meanwhile, Danielle drops food on the floor where we walk, picks it up, kisses it up to God, and then eats it. That's her choice, right, so her choose it. It is my and so it's not to eat your shoe brown And I'm allowed to think that it's kind of silly. Well, you were wrong, but I can't be wrong in my opinion, you know, you're wrong. I don't wrong to think it couldn't have contaminated my brownie here. And I will get a scientist on the phone at some point and talk about whether stuff flies off your sneaker, But that's irrelevant. The fact is she doesn't like it, and you don't respect the fact that she doesn't like so don't do it. I understand she doesn't like it, and I wouldn't do it again. But I'm allowed as an American, God bless America who say I disagree with that thought process and I don't get it right. But I was, you know why, chastised her because unlike Gandhi, I wasn't born rich and I don't I don't throw food away, but she's got a right to throw it away. I didn't say she was a horrible human being. I know. What I said was you're wasting food and are intern made and it kills me to waste food. Yeah, it killed me away. Sometimes we'll eat food out of my refrigerator even when I'm not hungry, because it's gonna go bed in today and I don't want to go bed so I eat it. I'm not eating New York shoes raised the lower middle class. That's how you live. I was the middle class, now you just low class. Yeah, exactly, I've taken a step down. I'm here with you talking about your shoe on my Brownie never had to do this at home. I will not put my shoe within six inches of your food again. I need like a foot, like a foot away from my food. There's no reason shoes should even be on the same surfaces food, And don't put your foot within a foot. Okay, you've been working here eleven ten months? Eleven months? Yes, how many times in eleven months have I put my shoe on your counter by your food? It's funny you should ask, because I've been keeping track and you've done it thrice. Food wasn't around the last two times. Times absolutely hot, because before I've been put a monster. Why are you putting your shoe up here counter? You just proved you can put your shoe up that high. I didn't know it until today. You're so full of ship. Brownie is wrong. Honestly, do not remember, but I will remember going forward not to do that. Cool. I appreciate that. I'll just know your highman, and so I won't do it. See what I mean. He's gotta it's gotta come with a zinger a candidate. He just can't admit defeat. Defeat, speaking of defeat feet away from goddamn brownie, Actually, you owe me a brownie now too? Okay, how about the fact every time you ask for a napkin and I asked her to hand me a napkin, he licks his fingers first and grabs a napkin and hand has it to me? Honestly, scary slabber than your New York Yeah whatever, spitz Aliva or whatever. I got slabber, Yeah, better than that, I would take. He could have licked the brownie and I would have been more likely to eat it than your shoe. But got to be honest anyway, I just came in to get so glad hit the jingle. Oh hold on, what is true? That's why I came in here, Right, you dropped your name, dropped your clients. You might have to hit it a third time because real life. Did you see Sam walk in here? She was looking for something. She came in looking for the hot sauce, and I was like, I don't know where it is. It's gone. That's why I came in to get that hot run and I went away. It's on your has a desk, but she doesn't use it. So Jake, our video guy from twenty something's podcast, By the way, twenty something podcast twenty Somethings Doing Nothing got canceled, canceled, can literally doing nothing canceled. The So the twenties something's podcast twenty He's Doing Nothing is over party, Yeah, because the one of the twenties somethings creator, he's doing something, Ricky has moved to California and is now doing nights with the syndicated on Westwood One. Zach sang in The Gang Show. So she's not doing nothing, she's doing something, which means the podcast is all okay. So back back to Gandhi, Um, I needed the hot sauce for something on my desk because I love not my client Cholula hot sauce. I could say it not my clients specifically. I brought it to my desk. I put it on the sandwich I was eating, and then I said, you know what, Elvis was in here recording his audible right and I didn't. I couldn't get back in the studio, So I put it on Gandhi's desk because I know she's the biggest Cholula fan, and so it's on your desk. Good. All right, Well we're speaking of Elvis recording stuff. He's gotta get in here in a little while, so we gotta go. We gotta move along, Gandhi, thanks for stopping by today. Okay, hey, listen, and you want to mention your product one more time? Alright, so goddie, you're here, But I just let you know we're about to do um bad intern applicant resumes. Oh yeah, we love this segment because it is it is the time of season where we're hiring for the fall. Correct, yes, we we are hiring for the fall. I'm almost done with the interviews. But um, I've gotten a lot of awful ones, awful cover letters. I'm just gonna read one here for god, by the way, do they get worse over the years or are you seeing well? I have to again. I'm working on the first book, Free Dessert, even as not even my second book will be my resume book, my cover letter book. Now this comes to us from a I can't tell if it's male or female by the name. Does that look like a male or female name? You, Gandhi, that looks like you're female to me my favorite country. Okay, um, I am writing to you to apply for the full internship. I am currently in upcoming senior Okay. Because of my this is not jumped down, turn around, pick bell cotton. Because of my experience, I know I will bring a unique background to nbc AH and assist in a initiatives in the global business development and technology field. From doing further research, I see that Elvis durand Z one hundred morning show, which is not how you would phrase it, that's not the right syntax. From from doing further research, I see that Elvis duran Z one hundred Morning show that means it's a copy and paste. Is seeking interns in different departments. You had to research that and you're putting it into it. I researched it and I see they're looking for interns in different departments. That's gonna get you the job. You did the research and you see the different departments. That is so weak you will never get in here. Um okay uh. This comes to us from staton aland New York, lovely Staten Island. I would like to my like to express my interest in the marketing intern position. We do not have a marketing intern position. I have developed and executed strategies which I believe will bring value to Elvis Durrand Morning Show copy and not the Elvis Durant or the Elvis Durant. Nope. This comes to us from Hackensack, New Jersey. I am confident that I can be a perfect fit for your company. By the way, did they write confident, kay, not confident? Um, I can be a perfect fit for your company. Your company copy and paste. While researching your company, I was able to relate and connect. What does that mean? What does that mean? It means you're not getting the internship. Ah. This comes to us from Merrick, Long Island. My guess is I'm gonna go to North americ Based on the address, I am interested in a position at Brillio's, especially because this is in line with my career goal, which is to work in the technology industry, and so you will not work here. Maybe maybe they got a job at Brio and Brillios wherever that is. This comes to mediate the technology. Uh, this person goes to I'm gonna say where they go, Well, they went to Kingsborough Community College at one point. Oh, you know what, I have a place in my Heart Sky all inclusive resort college on the ocean where you can take basket weaving and windsurfing. There. I worked on the FM radio station. You know what, even though I didn't go to that school an honorary member. So how did this resume from Kingsborough? I am writing an applicating I am writing in application for the for the part time internship in the Elvis Strand morning show, not at in the elst Maybe he wants to screw all right, listed in the Career Development Services office. I don't care, doesn't matter, nobody cares where you saw it. In the course of pursuing a bachelor's degree, I am endeavoring to further develop my experience and skills. But what does that mean? I am endeavoring. I know what it means, but I am endeavoring to further develop my experience and skills. Why don't you endeavor to write a bit of cover letter? I mean, someone highlighted and hit synonym out this person. I don't know where to begin. This is a two page cover letter. I'm gonna try to highlight the first of the whole things to trying to having people figured out by now that cover letters have to be less than a page. This person is fascinated by the fact that we are in New York and dwell in New York. I would like to intern with Zoe hundred because besides from the fact, what because besides from the fact, it's besides the fact, and it's not because besides the fact. Okay, because besides from the fact that they have the largest radio market in the country. We don't have the largest radio market. We are in the largest radio market. They are extremely in touch with their audience and the newest broadcasting technology. The radio industry often gets a bad rap for being out of date. However, Zoe hundred and I Heart Media are changing this conception. I think we're also changing the perception. Yes, they're changing the conception. Did somebody get pregnant? That's right? Um. Finally, I would love to intern with you and hundred because they are very in touch with their New York audience. Again, we get it, we're in the New York audience. Okay, Fine. They went on to mention at three more times. I didn't highlight them all. Hold on, besides from working at at some other radio station. Besides from working do you already have a job in radio. I also work at such and such show, which has provided me with in depth experience with with post production side of broadcast content. Now this one, this is this is a new one for me. I single handedly with collaboration with the team. Either you're single handedly or you collaborated with I single handedly with collaboration with the team. Of course, plan produce and upload the show's podcast online. So just to upload the podcast, they have to single handedly collaborate with a team to upload a podcast. Let me ask you this, At any point, do you feel like, oh, maybe we should take these people under our wing and teach them something about like you can do that God, take them under your wing, or actually don't bring them on and then make fun of them. I mean I would do that. This sounds like hours of entertainment right here. It's hours of entertainment and great content for the podcast. But no, I definitely put that person. Yes, yes, I'll tell you what. I did. Hire one person that said I could care less on their cover letter. How did they turn out? Sam, I'll producer Sam Oh. I will say this, The rest of the rest of her cover letter was so funny and poignant and well written that I took it as a slight oversight that maybe she just brain farted, and I called her out on it in the in the interview, which at this point was like eight years ago, and I said, just I have to bust your chops on it. It's it's I couldn't care less. And she's, oh, my, come so embarrassed that my mother is a grammar crazy. Not I'm terrible, and she's you know, Sam, she's awesome, fam Sam speaks beautifully, she is, she's awesome. And I did make an exception there, but only because the rest of the cover letter was beautifully perfectly written. And I made an exception. And truthfully, I had I needed one more intern and I didn't have anything. You can make a mistake here and there, but not here, there, there and there and here and there and there and there's right. I even went as far as on the Elvis Rand job posting page for interns. I actually gave people, you know how, like our wheel of fortune when you play the game at the end and everybody used to guess R S T L E rst L and you give it five letters. Now they give and they let you pick three or four more whatever. Right, I've given. I've given you. I've given you a bonus. I now say at the bottom. When applying for the Elvis Strain internship, remember that the two words off part is the exact opposite of the one word apart and I write and a lot is two words. Remember those when you write a cover letter. I'm trying. It's on the website at elvistrand dot com where it says be an intern I'm trying to help you people out, and yet it still says it also says, please apply, please apply, Please apply. I do have the lock. On the website, it clearly says please only apply once. Do not send follow up emails. Right, like if I don't call you an email you back in a week or two weeks. I don't need another copy of your resume. Right, don't call because this is not an office where you can call. We're on the radio, and it's not a thing I have. I have. I have an applicant, this semester, who in the past week and a half has applied three times already to the point where I had to write back and say, please don't apply a fourth time. Excuse, we got all of you. Just so you feel comfortable, we got all of your resumes all three times sat down. I didn't hear back. Did you get my resume? Yeah? No? Did it work? Does email work? Remember, it's not the email that we didn't call you back for. It's the fact that you weren't on the top qualified people could possibly interview everyone that applied. To understand, I applied for this. I applied for a job here once and didn't get interviewed. It happened. Um, that's not true. You applied for a job and I called you. I'm really good at radio, but I didn't get interviewed. Okay, you didn't, But I I thought so much of you. I called you and tell you how much I thought I loved you from me back. So when I write the book, I did call Gandhi back. That's the truth. And I've told the story somewhere everywhere. I was so impressed by Gandhi' submission in two thousand twelve, her resume, her audio or song parodies or voiceovers, our cartoon voices. And I think we're approaching about a year since we had you on the Brook and Voice podcast one if I remember, and I have to say seven years later, I am still every day in press. Now I feel bad about the shooing. Should I mean, that's my one regret anniversary card right there? Yeah, to all these years it is, this is the last. Being with you guys has been so fun. I'm glad that I talked to Brodie all those years ago. Freaking awesome. I remember that the day when we found out you could stand them, the day we found out we were gonna have an opening on the show, I was at a mass I went to go to a mas the dealership to get my wife's car fixed. And I guess it was in May, right April or May. No, it was like February February, early February, early February of last year. And I said, it's me. Are you ready? It's time you need to apply. Basically the first the first text I got was a little cryptic like, hey, I'm brushing up on a demo. Can you send me your brushed up demo? And I was like, what's you got going on over there? And it's time? I was like, yeah, cool, Yeah, we're not going to miss the chance this time. It was awesome, best ever, Love you guys. And then she says to me, I'm gonna be in New York in two weeks. As a matter of fact, I'm like, Okay, you're meeting with Elvis and this happening and it went really was I'll tell you what Elvis said. So Elvis, so you met with Elvis in his office he has Let me just let me I know she has other meetings in New York. Let me just talk to her a couple of minutes just to get to you know, because it was early in the process, because I sent to him right away, I go, she's your next coast. He's like, we got to be a lot of people. I was like, Okay, Elvis, I understand that she's your next cost So he said, well, I'll be the judge of that. I'll talk to her. I want to because he's just his show. Yeah, And they told me when I came that day, you have ten minutes. Ten minutes. Two hours later, they come out of there like like they were in a coma. What happened? It was like they were never two hours remember that, So I guess Gandhi was still in the office, maybe talking in Nate. Elvis comes over to me, brings me into one of the other studios and he goes, hey, man, what went well, didn't you went there for two hours? He's listening. You know her, you know her a long time. What's wrong with her? I said, what do you mean? He was, She's awesome. What's wrong with her? Nothing, that's why she's my friend. Nothing. Really, something's gotta be wrong. He's great. I said, no, she's just great. And then Scary kim in. We introduced Scary to Gandhi and Scary was fascinated that she's Indian, and he had all these ridiculous questions and stereotype questions, like I treat Bruce Spruce that yeah. Yeah, So he was always like, why do you like Curry? And what does that dress you guys wear? And you had all these silly questions. I loved it and you loved it. And Elvis looked over at me and he's like, this is a bit that will go on forever. This is fantastic perfect. I mean, I was so happy that day. When I left, I was like, even if I never get an interview, I'm glad I got to meet everybody. Was so fun. And I said that, I said that you do really well. Just I just had a great time. I don't care if I get it. No, you need to care. You need to get it. I had a great time. No, you need to care stopping so laid back about it. You want this? Oh I want it, But if I don't get it, it'll be great. No, like I couldn't write it. She was so happy are being nominated? What do I care? You were the missing puzzle piece. I know, but really though you're you're fantastic. You are. There's only so many people that would fit in with a buncheting. It's like us. So you just hit the ground running. You just like moved with this train. Never did stop moving. You just just jumped on at the next stop and you just keep the Brooklyn Boys episode thirty one, that just got a ready. I've said it before. You guys make it easy. When people say to me like, oh, you fit in so well, you can't fit in well if the people around you aren't awesome and don't make it super easy. You guys made it super easy. Scary. Actually, after that day, he sent me the nicest text ever, and I like, I took a screenshot of it and I kept it because I was like, oh my god, they really are not I love to see it. I forgot I gotta go look through my phone, but I definitely haven't kept it. Yeah, I kept it. Is that when you said, Brodie, take my phone right up. Nice to hear that was really that. That's awesome that you kept that I met was genuine when you left, he said, she's great. You guys were awesome. I just left that day like so happy. I was walking on like cloud nine. It was amazing. I love the fact that we're gonna leave this podcast on a positive note because we don't, are we. Yeah, we we have so much negativity. I know. The problem is Elvis is going to be taken over the studio in like ten minutes, so we have to we gotta call like two or three more things. We get fat all right, love you by soft in it. You can't like that because it was all second about being wrong, not about Greece but about my foot. I was wrong, I'll admit it, all right. Now you you've got some hate spewing from your ears. Um, you know, I just you know, Okay, I'm sorry. I know you guys hate when I promised things and but this this happened yesterday. It's not a long story, but it may be. Now. Look, you guys know I've had problems at restaurants. You know I've ordered you have not. In all my years and in all the stories that will eventually make the book, this is the one where I go, I'm dumbfounded. Now. Listen. I've been in situations where I've ordered at a drive through from my kids a plain cheeseburger and I've gotten a hamburger. And when I questioned it, they say, you said plain. I go, yeah, but it's cheeseburger, right, But a cheeseburger, plane, you have have a cheeseburger to start with, right, it has to have cheese. Then don't put lettuce and pickles and onions in male, but a plain cheeseburger, it's still a burger with cheese. I thought that was the biggest problem. This Yesterday goes into the Hall of Fame, the Mount Rushmore are things that have happened to me in food orders that I can't believe. And the explanation I got is even worse now there's no free dessert involved. I'll tell you why. We had a client bias breakfast from a local place. They said, we're gonna pay for your breakfast. What was it? The glass company? It was like the Glass comes any opticals, any optic they make sunglasses, right glass. Yeah, now I brought that client up so you don't have git the jingle they've said, pick out where you want to breakfast from, we'll pay for it. So we ordered from a place we normally order from. Now on their website, they have a very detailed menu and there's a way a little button you can click that says um changes special requests. You know you were going right for that, but well that's why it's my favorite place. So Andrew are assistant and Elvis assistant, great assistant in the world. Andrew says, I know, Brody, these things you don't want. On the nachos, I ordered nachos. Now, there's a section of the menu that says Mexican food. So up top was all eggs and French toast. Then it gets to like Mexican Soco has like casidas and tacos, and then it had um chili by itself and nachos, and the nachos it said chili, cheese, lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, sala, cream and guac, all the stuff that goes on top normally. Now you know me, I'm difficult, So I say Andrew, do me a favor. Order me, the order me the nachos. But in that little box, just let them know only chili cheese and tomatoes. Now, to me, that means anywhere I've been that I ought to nachos, whether a tool of hands we've established as the best nachos, or anywhere else. I ordered chili cheese, tomatoes, and sauce. If they have it, they're like nachos right there. I don't like the vegetables on top, but guaci me on the side because it's expensive. If I'm getting for free, someone's gonna eat it. But I don't want it. I didn't want that on top of it. So I'm I'm expecting. Now my nachos were chili, cheese and tomato. Did they mess it up and put stuff on it? I didn't want? No. No, that comes later. My order arrives. It's one of those little tins with the plastic lid. That's right, And I go, this doesn't look like nachos. I open it up and and in the tin there it is only chili cheese and and chili cheese and tomatoes. What's wrong? You say? There are no chips, There are no nacho chips. I said, that's weird. Why are there nacho chips in here? So I called the place up and I say, excuse me, I'm from the big order from the morning show at such and such a dress. Yes, I ordered nachos only chili, cheese and tomatoes. Yes, that's what we said. What do you mean that's what you said? There's no chips. You didn't want chips? You said, only chips and cheese and tomatoes. No, I ordered nachos with only chips. Callily, cheese, chili and tomatoes. You don't hold the chips, He says. You didn't wanted chips at nachos and I wanted chili. I would order the chili and asked you to puck tomatoes on top. He says, sir, you're wrong. You said in your description only chili, cheese, and tomatoes, and that's all we said you. I said, I ordered nachos. The little window is connected directly to the nachos. It's not like it's on a separate thing where you're like, oh, it says I wanted to order of it says nachos, and under it, it says only it wasn't like, don't take don't tweet me and say it was on a separate don't no, no, no, it was right with it. I'm with you. That's a fucking students. So so I said, so you're telling me, if I order a cheeseburger only cheese, you're gonna send me a slice of cheese. And he goes, that's totally different. No, it's no. That's called an analogy, and a good one. So I said, listen, I don't get into the spinning of my food. I don't want to, but it's up part of the story. I said, sir, can you please just send me chips, plain chick. Just send me my nachos? Do I want my not? I have no chips. Okay, we're sending your chips, right, Okay. So by fifteen minutes later, they're down in the lobby. Somebody goes down and gets it because we're on the air, brings it up. I opened up. It's a full order nachos with cream and lettuce and halleeenos. You fuck you know I only wanted the whole point of it. Push you know, I only wanted chili, a cheese, a tomato. So you send me down. They can't even take the chips I use them for what you want. So I have two big balls a ship. I have nothing nothing. Who does that? I want a salad only tomato and bacon. Did I give you just tomato and bacon? Wouldn't let us? Oh my god, that that is gonna be absolute fucking work. That is the dumbest funk that they had doubled down on their stupidity. They didn't know what I ordered. The whole fight was over what I ordered. You Fox, fuck you not you man. We happen. I'll tell you where this would never happen ever happen in Brooklyn Boys, Brooklyn Boys, Brockle
