Speaker 1: Say, Elvis Durrand presents Off Air Show, Scary Jones and Great Show. Yeah, I'm Scary Jones? What up? I switched it on you? Yeah? What was that? Well? Because you keep on giving me such a tish over every time I say I'm over here now, So I just said one up because I'm tired of hearing it after a while. It's like what your mother used to say. After a while, if you're nagging and nagging and nagging, she just gives in. She doesn't want to hear it anymore. You never said you couldn't say I'm over here now? What I mean? Am I saying? Dude? Dude, you didn't make that up. You didn't make that up? Well, Andres clamming it up. But that doesn't mean you can't even give me a sound effect a clip of Andrewdid's clais saying it give me something, I'll find it. You can't even give me one little clip. But just because we accuse you of stealing something that somebody else has already done, it doesn't mean you have to change what you say. Don't still say I'm over here now. You asked the off fair Heads even to tweet us, and they never did. Nobody has come up with proof that Andrew says that everyone follow us at the r Fair Show, and I want some more fair heads to come to the rest of body. Find footage of Andrew dyce Clay saying I'm over here now and we will retweet you today on the off Fair Show. Not one person, not one I'm telling you, But it doesn't mean you don't have to change it up. So now, what does what up mean? You know you stole what up from someone who I just came up with it. No, you didn't. I just it just came out of my mouth. I don't know. Someone famous has said I could have just said I farted. I could have been anything. Someone said it, someone has said what up before. Nobody says anything. I didn't say anything. I'm just saying I said whatever I said because I just came out of my mouth. What are we doing today? I don't know. You seem a little You're agitated already. No I'm not. You're agitated. You you feel, you know, last scary? Where is this show going? That's what I'm trying to tell you. I don't know this. You got your shorts, your T shirt on, and you're freaking ready to head out the door. Right, he's killing man. Is like the summer, the summer, summer graduation. It's like time to go, time to get out of here. I got vacation coming. I mean, listen, I called you last night. You were in a whole other frame of mind. I was having a cigar, relaxing and joined some whiskey. Why can I get that Greg Tea on the pie? You know? Noticed I had a great bottle of it's called Buffalo Trace. So I really enjoyed the Buffalo Trace whiskey and I had a nice little cigar. It was it was great. The sun was going down. I was in the mood, and it was perfect. It worked out well. He was an entire different human being. Entirely different human being. He I called him. I called him up. I had didn't do a double take. I had to look at the number. I dialed, Is this really Greg Tea? He's sitting there relaxing on his back pard and he's like, hey, man, how are you doing? And I'm like, hey, what is this really t And he goes, yeah, man, I got my cigar in one hand, right, but I got my whiskey in the other. If that was a show, and I was doing a one man show, then that's what I would be doing. But to be fine, why can't you bring nighttime backyard whiskey drinking, cigar smoking Greg T to the podcast in the daytime? Great question, And I can't pretend. I mean if I put if I put a glass in whiskey in your hand right now, yeah, that it won't happen in the reason cigar in your other hand right But here, I'm gonna tell you right now. The reason is is because our surroundings just completely bring me down. This is not you're in a radio and air conditioned radio. We have we we don't prepare. There's no preparation. I've I've literally given. I'm I'm preparing. We we we have no jingles, no nothing. Well, that's we're not doing any bits. We're not there's nothing going on. Well, that's why we're ready for a reboot. That's why we're gonna take a couple of weeks off and then we're gonna do something different this summer. It's not gonna be different. I know it, I know you. I know it's not gonna be different. You're becoming the crotch of the old man that you said you'd never become It's broken. It is broken. Your life is broken. You get off my lawn. Guy. Yeah, anyone want to play a song music? We're not allowed to play music exactly, says a podcast by the Day. That is a rule. We're not allowed to play music, and it's entirety. We had to pull the music from the podcast. Not allowed. We don't have the rights. We don't have. Therefore, there is nothing right now at all that I'm at all interested in when it comes to this podcast. Right I'll tell you point well, you know what, you're letting new off fair heads down. You know at this point, I'm letting melessa. Melissa is an off fair head and we're taking calls. Yeah, well, Melissa emailed us The Affair Show at gmail dot com. You could always email us, Hi, Melissa John you have to witness this. This is like mommy and daddy fighting at the dinner table, and you feel like you should just take your podcast straight to the pool. You know, we said that this was going to be one of the ideas, and I'll let the cat out of the bag. I have been begging for him to take this play, take this show outside of here for years already. I don't just go to the Dream Hotel. Pool you're in here with people don't know what People don't know what that is the Dream Hotel. Explain what this is? Seems like a place that he would hang out from home. I'm not going there. Described to the offair heads around America? What what the dream New York City clearly is the concrete jungle And there's these random oasis is in this concrete jungle? Yeah? That are pools of water? Who tells? Right? The Dream Hotel has like this beautiful pool that's in their building. It feels like you're on a cruise ship and it's just designed awesome. And cow is there right around the corner. People don't know what that is. You have to explain what what is? Tao? By the way, you have to listen. You you'll never do radio. That's okay there, But anyway, Melissa, let's just cut right to it. Please. Um too is a fancy restaurant. Greg Tea is face. Pine's a great podcast. It's called A Guy and two Girls and it's gonna be you and ask Melissa's available, go get share nose and the three of you would have an amazing pod. Grant teeth. It'll be exactly what you want to do. Yes, exactly, Yes, Velvet Rope. Can we can we sponsor it? Can we sponsor it by marijuana? High maintenance? Whatever you want, you can take it to the Dream Hotel sponsored sponsored by medicinal marijuana. It's high maintenance. You know. Here's the thing now, Greg T. Here's this is a tale of two different guys. Gregg T accuses me of being way too trendy. He considers me velvet Rope city guy, and Greg D is breathing the country air. I'm going to freaking home depot or Lows or wherever he freaking builds his houses these days, and he's like gonna get hammered some nails and buy some two by fours and he's gonna build this right in the middle. I need somebody who's going to take me to a five star camping. Okay, all right, Melissa, good luck finding that I know, Melissa, alright, So listen, all I know so far is that Scary said that you emailed him and that you've got some difficulties about this guy that your sword have interested in. But you're not really sure. You know, we're not doing that are, well, okay, which one are we going to do? And then you wanted us and you wanted us to figure out whethern't that the guy was lying or not. Okay, I emailed him a few different topics. So yeah, let's just been on the podcast before. By the way, a couple of months ago, she was which one do we do? What do we talk about on the podcast with you? I forgot what it was. Oh, we do so many? Um, I think maybe about the guy who Um I told him to bring the check, right, yeah, we we had Yeah, she pretty much one with the dog. Yeah right. The guy came over and then in the right right right, yeah, And then she told the waiter on one day to go to go uh hey, by the way, as soon as I go to the bathroom, I want you to drop the bill on the table. So it's not I didn't want to play the truggle war game. I wasn't paying, she wasn't doing the fake, she didn't want to do the fake walk while reached, so she she said, dropped the bill, and then she went to the bathroom the way to drop the bill the guy, but then told the guy he told the guy. By the way, she told me to drop the bill while she was in the bathroom. Anyway, just this goes to show you that when a guy really like nothing will deter him, that he didn't even care. He was like, is that true? I'm like, what that guy, I wouldn't say that, Like, obviously it came from somewhere. All right, So now you have a dilemma. So now you want to go out with this guy, but you don't want to really jump in. We talked about let's talk about Ben. Oh Ben? Okay? Oh my god? So okay, so first of all, what, First of all, you gotta explained before you guys got to a text message? Where did you guys? How did you guys meet? And then what was this text message that you were you were emailing us about? Okay, so we met on Jay's life. I'm done with the bubble like what okay, okay, let me take this back. Okay, listen once again, this is a nationwide podcast where not everybody up right now, Okay, clear it up, give me one second. Gantie still paid face palmming and he's doing imitations, but you want to you would slap them if you're so far? Did you missed two great opportunities for you to host great podcast. You're missing them. You are missing the opportunity. In this day and age of dating, people are very much especially in cities, using these apps, whether it be Tinder or Fumble or jay Swipe, which is the Jewish version of um Tinder. I guess so Swipe is the Jewish Tinder Tinder, Yeah, but not gleazy, not with that like sleazy reputation. Hold On, Jones is gonna, he's calling, He's calling me to to to play something. I gotta I gotta drop a little beat here. All right, let's go to jaw. When you like somebody, they put you in a chair and play this music. Okay, is ridiculous. Okay, So you've got just two Jews in the night meeting each other like two random sailing ships. We at meat. So basically on my profile, and I guess it shows what movies they're like. And I'm a hopeless romantic and one of the movies a scar when you get your get your finger ready for the music, what we get I'm feeling with with with Melissa, I'm feeling a good movies coming about. It's about to come out of her mouth. Okay. I was going to make a joke, and I was gonna say I'm a hopeless romantic and I really like Good Fellows, but really, um, the movie was the notebook that I had put that called fiction the notebook. Maybe there's like a few other Good Fellows. So you wrote this on your j S wife profile. Yeah, so I guess it's like linked to like my Facebook or something. And why I have to go out with a Jewish guy? Why can't you go out with somebody else? I don't I could go out to whoever. I was just it's just an option. But here's the thing. At the end of the day, are you really going to be holding true to all of the religious values? Are you really? In today's day and age? It just makes it easier. My first, my dad is remarried, so we're not Jewish. My life jewish. I've never had a boyfriend that was Jewish. You but you're trying to date within your face and it's respectable. I totally get it. All you want to date is Jewish guys, So you go on j white. You might even have a kid, and you may not even raise it with any kind of religion. I mean people are doing that now. First of Jewish isn't so much a religion as it is a mindset. That's why I understand about eating and sitting a chair, passover and attitude is right. More, it's more about negotiating your nikes. It's more about like just a culture dynamic in the household. I'm joking. I'm saying, you know, okay, can talk Jewish to each other and he wants a ball soup? Is that Those types of stereotypes not food based. It's a mind Okay, it's a mindset, all right. So you want to men to do it and see what he thinks. Mutable soup isn't thinking about mutable and eating Jesus, all right. So you wanted me to Jewish boy, not that I want to. It's like you that's great. But this is one forum and they don't have like a like Italian swipe. Is there an Italian swipe? I swipe, ice swipe continue? All right? So you meet, He sees your profile, He sees you like movies like the note great opening line. So he texts, He texts you, He sent me a message, and the message is I love the notebook too. Okay, now stop right there or something like that. Hold on what does Let me check this, hold on, let me double the movie the Notebook, the one that everybody always refers to us, the movie that always makes them because he saw it on he saw it on her profile. Whose stars in that movie? Again? Who was in the notebook? Isn't that the quintessential chick flick? Yeah? It is. There was somebody in it, that one, and he just not give me some Rachel McAdams, you have some romantic is who's married? Um, I'm looking it up right now. Just not that into you. That was the other chick flick. Everybody, even Mendez. Let's who's married to her? What's her name? Ryan? Even Ryan, Ryan, Ryan Gosling, Ryan Dastling, Rachel McAdams. Right, that's in it? Okay, all right? Book, which is typically it's a great opening line because it's such a cheesy girl movie that you could tell right away from that opening line. It's like very funny. He had me laugh. I was like, oh, I go, great opening, Sunpence, because it was like, hold on, he's getting us some good romantic music, how about bad romance? No, No, give us some stuff, because I would like you to read it to us in the way that Ben would say it to you. How would he say the notebook too? Oh he's trying to appeal to her right there, and you're awesome. Yeah, yeah, And then what happens and I go, great opening sentence because like, I know who was jounger? So you think you think he's lying just because he says he likes the notebook. That's like you being like I love Barbie Dolls. So you're not even giving him a chance. There's no way that that would be Like, no, I could sense his humor. What do you want me to just be? Like so flat lined already the reason why you are single? Because I love the next sentence because you know what the next sentence is that he writes to me to know it all before knowing the whole story. I know everything, but the whole story. That should be your tagline. Okay, so the next sentence I a great opening sentence, exclamation boy being like that, I wanted to give him props, like you're awesome. That was hilarious. Any rights, even if I'm lying. So he feeds into his own lie by telling you the truth that he was lying, but he was using He pretty much admitted by the way I was just trying to impress you with something that you wanted to hear. Okay, maybe he was. Maybe he is lying, Okay, I'll give you that. Maybe he said yeah, maybe. So my reply was, even if I'm lying, that took me saying to you, I love the giants. Okay, that's so great. I'm like, even if I'm kidding in line, but do you love the giants? But do you love the giants? I do? So? Do you go to football games I have? Do you like that? You like doing all those things? Wearing a jersey? Not really a game? There you gonna again another reason why you're single. You see, Wow, he's just laying into you. Melissa'll tell you something. Here's the things about women. Okay, Oh, he's gonna tell you a thing or two about a thing or two. Hey, you cannot always just assume that every guy you talked to is lying. Men are just as scared, if not more scared, to go out with women than you and you are with us. At the same thing. I didn't assume you was lying. I really being funny. Men don't even know what they don't know. Should they be a man man? Should they be more of a delicate man? Men? Don't even know where to go. So when he comes to the notebook, the natural thing is here. Watch this, I'll play with Scary. Scary. When I say notebook, you think what I think? Romance? Romance right, ding ding ding ding? Okay, scary when I say notebook, do you think women like that or do not like the notebook? I think women love the notebook. So he's doing the things that naturally he's trying to know. He's saying something that she wants to hear. But you're out saying he's a liar. No, no, she said that was a good opening sentence. No, I didn't call a liar. I said you're funny. Now, when it comes to sports on Sunday, what is the most popular sport that there is that men love to watch? I think we're going off here. Why I'm single, But I'm going to standards. No, I think that your standards are are you you're you're you're you're cloudy, your standards are cloudy. Hold on a second, so but what a second? Go ahead, I'll let you finish. Go ahead, say football right, it's football, right, Okay, what will you continue? The next thing is is that a guy wants a girl to put on a jersey and a baseball cap and have some fun. I can do that once in a while, but if you're going to ask me if it's my favorite thing to do, I'm not gonna lie. I will do it if I really am into the guy and that doesn't happy and share a common something that we could both do, and she doesn't want to. She's never going to pander to a guy for the sake of it. Understand, don't want to be a pretender, a fraud. Most women will say I will do that sometimes. You know what that means. That means on Super Bowl Sunday. On Super Bowl Sunday, I will do it. That's That's why can't I let him go with his friends for a football game and enjoy hanging out with his dudes, Because maybe he actually likes to do things with you. So I'll do it every once in a blue but I'm not going to do it all the time. Okay. So T is insinuating that the reason why you're single is because you don't pander to him because you're not like Okay, because they make those husbands and don't expect you to pander. But they also but men also would like you to give them a hug and ask them how they're feeling and scratch their back. Will scratch their back? Girlfriend? Ever? Of course I don't. I do a good scratch, a good kick right like that? Well, you tickle down the side, you gotta play with. I don't think I ever met a woman who tickles down the side. Your Your text message says, Okay, I love the notebook. She says, that was a good first sentence. He says, even if it's not true. So he pretty much called, and then you wrote, which I'll give you that. And then are you lying to me already? Okay, because now here's a red flag? In my opinion, That right there tells it all. He opens the conversation with a lie. So pretty much everything else from here on out is expected to be a lie. So how can we trust him? Or questioned? Right or question? I'm not even gonna I'm not even going to go the negative rend. Everything here could be a lie. Everything here is going to be um questionable. Are you joking now? Are you joking now? Are you joking now? So? T so should we make a decision now? Should she not be paying a text to him? Or should she still go after him, is that what you The closing line, I said, are you are you lying to me already? Being funny? I always think funny back like, oh you have a little book. That's great line because even if I'm lying, and I say, are you lying to me already? Like we're already like you know, and he wrote, we have to start somewhere. I'm like, okay, okay, so give us, give us some time to uh to huddle. Do you have any you have any music deliberating music? I have Jeopardy. I mean I mean, put something in there and we'll talk that. Okay, okay, some Jeopardy. Hold on a second, you can listen on our deliberation. Alright, So here we go. Here's some Jeopardy music. What do you think we'll tell his sidebar? Do you what do you think? I'm thinking? Greg t yes, that this is a red flag because a guy who comes on just to say just to to to put a flashy opening line is bad news to begin with. The guy clearly read her profile, said you saw she like the notebook and said, oh I love the notebook too, as his opening line. Now I will give him the clever, the clever credit for starting this starting the conversation with something other than oh my god, you're hot, because a lot most guys, you know, he's stuck out from the crowd by coming in with that line, So I will give him that credit. You're you're croussing over into my Jeopardy time. Now, okay, go ahead, all right, Okay, here's what I want to say. We start by jopping music on one time Scary Listen. Yes, I hear what you're saying, and I kind of agree with you. I really do. But if you're trying to get in with a girl and you really want to make a statement, you kind of read your profile and then you maybe fudge it a little bit. Well, I mean, you gotta you gotta struck with the iron's hot, right. You know that she likes the notebook, so why not say I like? And then you be jovial about it and say, well, what if I was lying? So you you agree with what he did and you think that that's a clever way to get in there. Tell melis what we think most of we disagree with each other. He thinks you should continue on with this guy because he's clever. He found it an easy way in. And while I respect that, and I see what he's saying. I still think he's starting. He's starting this whole relationship on a pack of lies. His opening line to you was a lie, so how can anything else be true? Okay, here's my thought on it. Okay, and I'll take the middle of the road approach. I think his opening line was awesome. I think it's awesome. I think when he went and said even if it's not true, I don't think he needed to go there. I think he took an awesome moment and just like you wrote it in the garbage, I think if you would have been like, it's a good movie, definitely not a favorite, but um, but how's your day going and just switched out of it so you definitely it alone, or just left it alone and said like um and just switched topics. Like obviously, I said, great opening line. I didn't take him seriously. It wasn't like I was like, oh my god, you do love the notebook. I go, great line. You know. So he didn't need to be clarified, and he wanted to clarify I'm lining, so I'm like, okay, great, congratulations, you clarified as awesome ber as like you wanted to make sure I knew you were kidding. Scary sidebar sidear's hold on a second. Yes, I want to help her, but I do think that you also think she also think she's hopeless and that she's always gonna be saying. You can't get that out of your head. But she's too trendy for these guys, and she's too smart for them. No, I think that she's that something happened in the past relationship and her guard is up constantly, And with her guard is up, she's not ready to go in because she won't even let this guy just play with her a little bit. So you're saying, so that a little play, a little horse play in the sandbox, a little bit of pulling in the pain, a little pulling into the pigtails, like a little cat and mouse. Never anybody never heard anybody go back to Melissa. Hire back Melissa. This is a proverbial door. I would be shutting it in your face. What happened? What happened? I could be single forever. My mom would be so mad. I did not say that. I didn't say that. How could do you want to? What did you? How did you hear us? We put on hold because I don't. I don't know. Well, okay, so so where do we go from here? First of all, I have a question for your side another side question of all the j swipe and opening lines, what do most of them? How do most of them start? What do most of them say? Do most of them refer to your profile? Most of them all? Cus They'll be like, no pictures of your dog, because I'll be like, oh, I'm down for, you know, an adventure, whether it's be a road trip or getting out of the city, but especially major points if I could bring my my puppy. Has anyone I don't any think a person always goes there's no pictures of your puppy, And I'm like, at least I know that they're reading my profile. I love it. And I'm definitely not putting a picture of her bookause I like knowing who reads it and who doesn't. Has anyone lead with a penis? Pick? Now? When when was your last with that help the situation? When was your last real relationship? Real relationship? A few years ago? Years ago? So now why have you gone? I'm cold for a while because I'm looking for something specific and I don't want to settle she's looking for what you would you say in your email for a husband and kids? How old? How old are you? How old are you? I'm thirty four. She wants to have babies like yesterday, right, that's not but I want to be married for life. How's your parents relationship? Um, they're divorced. And how often you see your mom and dad? Monthly? Weekly, every I would say every three weeks, three or four weeks. Were you closer with your dad or your mom? Dad? Why are you asking me, Charlotte, Because I'm very good at this. I'm getting, I'm gonna get, I'm gonna get. He's a psycho psychologist at the same time, he wants a psycho and psychologists close with your mom as your dad. Um, my dad's more like of a disciplined person type A, and my mom's like very like easy going and I'm very like type that. Right. Whose fault do you think it was that they got divorced? Oh my god. I always joked that, like they were never supposed to meet, Like my dad was like in the movie Blow my mom was in Jason confused, like they should never have been at the same part. So she was just like in Awe of your dad. But your dad was like a wild guy. You know, he's not wild at all, but it was No, I was making like a metaphor of like two completely different movies. But um, no, he's not wild at all. He's not, but your mom wants me wild. My mom's a little bit more like wild, and your dad's more conservative and quiet. Yeah, all right, he's by the way he's chewing on his pen. He's very I'm thinking because I'm trying to get to know her really and understand why he's Dad is very, very, very much somebody who is based on respect, and you feel you feel disappointing him. You will never disappoint him. No, No, it's not about that. It's more about like when I meet people, if you want to look at it this way, I expect like just a certain level. Like if my dad was listening in on the conversation. My dad was sitting in the room with me and this guy road I love the notebook, he would laugh and go that grit lord, And then I'm like, and then if you wrote even if I was lying, my dad would have a shrugged shoulder like that kind of rubbed me a little bit the wrong way. I don't like this guy you just meant on Jay Swipe. I don't think he works out for you. Oh wow, you coming around. I think that you need to you need to be hit in the head with love. I think that you need to like find it in a way where you're like, oh my god, I am in love. Like it's got Tom in the notebook. It has to hit you. It has to hit you. If it doesn't know, I know it will because I know I have like somebody very recently that I really really, really really like a lot. You going You going after him on Jay Swipe is not gonna work because it's gonna be you going after him again after what I've already heard, what you like and what you don't like, what's happen going after him. I haven't done anything, no, but what I'm saying is with the j Swipe, you need to just hit somebody of nowhere and boom. It just isn't And it's just maybe we could host like a day the Dream Hotel Pool and invite all your listeners to come by and like do an interview. You're not going to find he thinks you need to be seduced by a guy like Carry White Yeah, he's got to walk up to you and just drop some love lines on you. It's just it's the kind of guy that will that will work. He's gonna I mean, that's kind of my act. Met May he walked up to me at a restaurant. What did he say? How did he say it? He just took the name. You know, I'm telling you, it's not gonna work. It's not gonna work. You need a guy like you need to be hitting the head with love, like hitting the head like. So I was going to suggest before you came to this conclusion that I will continue the conversations and send it into you. But if you've already ruled him out, just to prove you wrong about like this guy proved you right in the sense that this guy is like clearly not right, He's not. Nope, But I wouldn't waste your time, and I would get off. I would get off of all of these sites, every one of them. I get over that any other one I wouldn't. And and honestly, I would just take a walk, take a walk. No, just just go for a walk. Go for a walk, take a walk, go for a walk on the Crabit place. And you know, go to, like, you know, a random city, go for a walk, and I think you're gonna find for a walk on the wild side, you're gonna you're gonna find you know what, you will find love. I believe at a baseball game, when you were at the concession stand going to get a beer and a hot dog. I think that's where you find love, dog or dog drinking. You know, it's while you were there. I think I see you. I see you go to a Chicago Cuba nationally out there. Yeah, I see you at a at a Chicago Cubbies game and a guy find you, bumps into you a Chicago maybe you drop a ten dollar bill on the ground, He picks it up and gives it to you. And you, guys, it's just happened. Drop a credit card on the ground. No, you're gonna that's it. I'm calling you right now. I see your future. You're at a cup game. You drop him, you drop money on the ground, You're about to go get a beer. The guy behind you picks it up. I mean, that's one way to find a nice Jewish guy. And that's how, guys, that's how it's happening. And he's not gonna be Jewish. He is going to be Italian, Italian guy from the south side of the North Side of Chicago. That's right, that's your guy. That's your guy. You watch listening right now. I'll see you at that game. And I think his name will be Kevin. I don't know. I don't know if it's gonna be Kevin. Ye, Hi, my name is Kevin. I don't know. I don't I hope it's being a Kevin. His birthday will be in November. Can that's two scorpios right there. That's hot. See that's not hot, that's explosive. And that's probably a sic. I see it. Here's a little road play. But she needs Kevin. I just wanted to, you know, if I could buy you that second Chicago right here field, just like that. I'm going to start on one end of the hot dog and you're gonna start on the other one. Thank you. I hope you have good luck with yourself. Thank you. When are you going to do you go to Chicago? When are you going to Chicago? When when are we all going? Let's go together? So you have no plans to go to Chicago. Now it's come and get ready, all right, I'm ready, thank you all right, guys, thank you? Yeah, okay, t What the hell is wrong with you? That's where I see it going. How did you how did did you like look into the stars? How did you come up with a Kevin from the North side of Chicago at a Wrigley at Wrigley Field while she's eating a hot dog. It's just hit me. It really just came to me. You are crazy. You are especially. It just it just came to me. Psychic ability, more like psycho ability. I think that there's that a girl like that. She is constantly looking for somebody, and when you constantly are looking for it, it's just isn't gonna happen? And when and then eventually you say, well he's fine, you settle, and then that doesn't work. I think she's sort of fun, like how many baseball games do it? Does somebody go do that often? You don't go to that many. And I think that she travels a little bit. I think that for business she goes to Chicago. She's standing on line gonna get a hot dog. She drops a ten dollar bill. Some guy picks it up. His name's Kevin. They meet, they swap numbers. Where does the hot dog Park. Come in. She guess she's going to buy a hot dog, gonna beer. Wow, alright, t that was pretty special. Happens psycho ability, psychic ability. Listen. I said his birthday to be November, and she says, my birthday is in November. I mean, come on now, by the way, remember in the beginning of this podcast, I said I called you that night, Yes, and you were. You were Greg tea with the whiskey and the cigar in hand, and you're a different great tea. Yeah, that's the great tea I'm getting right now. All of a sudden, you calm down a little bit. Calm down, You're okay, what are you doing for? Vacation? But you have to understand what are you doing for? I'm really trying here. But here's the thing, man, what I want to say. Listen, we had a let's be let's be honest, dude, the affair show man. We had We had an absolute blast. We had a lot of fun. We really still do have a blast. I think this is fun. You don't think this is fun. I'm laughing my ass off back here. It was why because why because we're not playing drops, because we don't have a keyboard, because that's what made the show what it was. It was different, it was different than anybody else's show. I got news for you, t news for you, and you're not gonna want to hear this news. Yes, whenever you're not here, and we do continue to do a podcast called The Affair Show and other people come into the room, it's still just as fucking funny and a different We get email. Can you do a little mail time? I think it's up for a little mail to what do you understand? Why? Though? No, no, because look at what he's But here's the person Stan that here's the problem with you. You refuse you. You refuse to admit that The Affair Show could be everything. It could be anything and everything. It doesn't have to be one thing. And I gotta be honest. Coming in here day in day out, playing a keyboard, playing the same seven drops and talking about smoking pot every day. It got old after a while. You know, It's sometimes it's nice to break them old and do something completely different. It's it's nice to go in different directions rather than talking about the same five empty promises. It gets old after seventy episodes, it's time to move on. A little bit, just a little bit. So I'm like trying to explore and say, I said, what could the Affair show be today? What could it be tomorrow? And you don't want to embrace that. All you wanna do is rekindle the past. And the past is not here anymore. It's gone, the past is over. So you know, I mean, I'm totally cool with it. I'm listen, I got content out the ass. I'm ready to I'm ready to do seven podcasts. I'm ready to split this one off into three different podcast right. I think that you should. Right, But the thing is you, for some reason, you're becoming like a broken record and you're like just some some broken down like olds. Not as fun to me anymore. Why why is it not fun? It's not fun. It's in your own head, it's not It's just me and you, like we have, we have a great chemistry. We know each other thirty years. I know stuff that I'll take it to the grave about you. I agree. Like John bon Jovi song, which one you know? Any of them? Wa? What do you mean any of How does John bon Jovi and Richie relate to this moment? Jovi're gonna get a thousand songs in there. Pick one. Pick what's how they are Richard sam barn and Johnny and are we John Lennon and Paul McCarry. No, no, no, they didn't. They didn't like each other as much. No, no, no, what do you mean they really didn't The Beatles that they didn't really like each other After a while, it was really bad. Whereas in Sambar and Johnson and John Jovi were different. They were best buds all through thicking thing, no matter what. Yeah, yeah, dude. Even when Rick Simboar was to rehab for three times, you know, John was still there. Dude. It was like kiss this time. You come on, Let's go sit on your back porch and smoke a cigar, right, a fake Cuban cigar. Now, I gotta go to Most. I gotta go to Most Southwest. Purl down and let's have it whiskey. Me and you. Come on, let's talk about the listen about when we were young. I gotta go to Mo. We were wild and free. I'm gonna remember when we were sucking on chilling dogs outside the tasty freeze. I gotta go stand out in front of the Most in two hours and your your life is miserable. Your wife is miserable. Mason, I'm greg free. I remember all that's right. Well, I'm a husband now more day at a time. And when we had a thing, it was a good job. I got to get a chap great singing these five words, Wenna, I want to be the air for you. It's just my five words, which I'm out of here right now. We have to do some mail time. I have some great noil that came in for the last five words. I gotta go take a tiss. You gotta tish, gotta gotta go to modes. Don't do that. I gotta go to modes. I gotta work, I gotta do stuff. I gotta stand in front of modes for two hours. I gotta go stand in front of Moses for two hours. I hated gona take a tish. Ready this you're disgusting, You're you're you're a freaking pig. That's just part of life. I know it's part of life, but you don't have to announce it to everybody that you're going. And he's actually gonna fart in the microplife. Seriously, you know what I don't know? I went, wait, wait, wait, wait, yes, silent, but deadly. It went, it went went. I wanted to read some mail. I couldn't get a crop. You don't want to read mail? What are you doing? Okay? Listen, there's the last show before vacation. Obviously we have seniorritis right now because we're still busy in the background putting stuff together. What are you doing on vacation to what do you where? Where are you going? Why don't you tell everybody where you're going? Where am I going? What are you doing? I'm not gonna tell everybody where I'm going. I have some things to do. I get some friends to hang out with. We're going out for vacation. What are you doing? Fourth of July? We're gonna We're gonna be somewhere. Okay, do you shoot a fireworks on the fourth anybody? Do you shoot of fireworks on the fourth July? Yes, we have a big fireworks show where we're We're somewhere nice. I'm kind of jealous. I gotta be honest. I used to the waterfront barbecue. I used to actually, um, we used to shoot up fireworks in Brooklyn. You know. We used to buy bandaliers from bandaliers. A bandalier is like like a bunch of firecrackers, but there's thousands and thousands, and they rolled up in a in a you know, like those raffle tickets to see. Now, here's the thing about what I would like to do with it on Fair show. When you talk about bandalier, then like the next used to roll them out across the street. Okay, So the next show, I'd like to take the offair struggers. You can go on location to a place in front of your house. We're in the street where you light up the bandaliers. So here's my suggest I'm saying, nobody's gonna do that on this off Fair Show. I'm gonna do it. So so the thing that Greg t and I were thinking about behind the scenes was what if we take a couple of episodes of Off Air show, hold on, get outside the studio, because it's true we do Gregg tickets. You know, you're a man of your you know, a man. Let's put a show together. That's my problem. No, you know what's going on in New York City right now, there's a they close down Times Square. There are thousands of people right now laying on the ground in Times Square protest that protest. They're doing yoga and they're doing like the world's largest yoga class, are they really? It would be nice to take a call to call like Scrappy and talk to Scrappy, and Scrappy calls I got a better idea, you know, And I got a better idea. What's up, Scrap, what's going on? And scraps like, Hey, I'm in New York City Times Square. They're doing yoga. We talked to Scrappy. I think, like Scrappy, who's Scrappy? He's the guy for us on the street. We call him on the street, Scrap, you just made up an invisible person, right Scrappy that it's an imaginary guy. I don't know Scrappy. He would be perfect for the Unfair show. All right, So let's get Scrappy. We need somebody. Do people have to We have the whole auditions to have a Scrappy, we would need somebody to do twice a week. Here's free, no money. Here's what I would like. I would like to take the show out of the studio. Why are you belching into the microphone? You're so disrespectful. Here's another thing I don't like about the Affair show. Where the cuff is my sound effect board. You don't need a sound to be successful. Again, this is the kind of crap talking to Listen to me, Listen to what I'm saying. We can take the offair show on location and we can record the offair show. And he couldn't even go to car Luccio's. How many times I asked you to go? I'll tell you what you and ball Freak would never go to car Luccio's. I asked you so many times when you go there? Do you want to do an off air show remote broadcast from Carluccios. We don't have to do a live but I'm just saying we can start like in the car on the way down. Then we go there, We go live into Carluccio's, We order our sandwich, then we sit down, we eat it, and we talked the whole time. So it's a mobile podcast. But we've been right, we've been talking. Nobody doesn't nobody does. You're going to do that? That was That's what our next plan wants. Takes some editing because you're gonna have to you know, you're record and mobile podcast. What do you think about them? What do you think about a mobile podcast, Brooklyn, give me, give me out the Beast of Boys. You know what I'm saying. Like, but the thing is, you can't. Okay, here's what. This is the trade of my sound effect it and this is the trade off. Can I say something? This is the tradeoff. And I'll be honest with you. If you do a mobile podcast, you're not gonna have any sound effects of music or nothing. You're not gonna anything. It's just gonna be us. And I'm contact if you put it in edit together, you might have some sound effects or you can talk about what the day was like. You know. Here's the part where we were in the car, you know whatever. Here is where we went to set the idea of taking of of off Fair road Show. You know, maybe we call ourselves the road show, the fair Show fair Show. Okay, listen, we have a lot of time to think about this because we have some weeks off. Greg Ty, you need to recharge your batteries. Nothing I'm getting I'm getting very worried. But he's going to change on the off Fair Show. What what is going to change to change to get scrappy? Scrappy coming in? You want scrappy? When are we going to do the bit that we just promised everybody where we call our ex girlfriends, Yes, catching up with your rex. We need to go. We need we need a producer that that's gonna set that up for us, because because you're not gonna do it, so give me a producer we need. How about an intern? Can we at least get an interns? We had an off fair show intern. I think that you know, policies will be violated. There's no reason why we couldn't at least have an intern to like be called scrappy and go do that for us. There there's no reason why can't we do that. We have so the interns here that are sitting around like listening to the Backstreet Boys doing nothing. I mean, I think if you hanging out here, alright, right, but we don't even do that. Alright? What about hiring intern too, you know, do some production work for the off air show. I get no problem with that, you know me, I'm all about that. I think that that needs to tappen. Where we talked to the guy that puts all that gets all the interns and we go listen, we talked to him, No, we are requesting an intern and then you know that guy is probably gonna say no, and that's where we step up when we go. You know what, you and I've been here twenty two years. You know what it's happening. We want to intern right now now. You know what, If you don't do it, we're gonna go over your head and then we're gonna get one no matter what. So you have no say. That's what I would do, you know, just tell the man that you're gonna stick it to the man. Yeah, I would. I would say, you know, for twenty years, I'm going over your head. You know, you know what we're talking about. We're not talking about, you know, the big boy. We're talking about another guy. You know, i'd go over his head and go I don't need you. I'm gonna go at myself an intern. I will get somebody from college nearby, what's coming here and do that. Okay, as far as I'm concerned, the off air show is alive, and well we might change the Are we gonna do the change the name and logo? Are we gonna think about a new right? Are we gonna do this over the holiday? And you know what else? We need and we need a keyboardist and like that's gonna play like, like, what's his name? What was the name from Letterman? Yeah, we need a Paul Shaffer that helps. Paul Shaffer helps. So we gotta we gotta audition, we gotta fine, we gotta put an add out for a keyboard player something. We need three interns. We need well, we need one that's gonna get us organized. We're gonna we are scrappy and we need a We need a uh and a somebody plays an instrument. Yeah, we we have. I will tell you that I am missing the keyboard. I missed keyboard, missed the keyboards exactly. But if you if you look back at our podcasts, bald Freak stopped playing the keyboarding episode seventy. I stopped it. That's nothing. I think we should we we stricken the name Bald for I don't want to hear about the name ever again. I don't want to hear about the guy. It's not the big fault. At the end of the day, he it was his fault. It really was his fault. The Big Boss decided that he that that he couldn't be in here what we're doing. The podcast Cuffball Freaking Right, Cuffball Freaking the sick, don't come from in the s don't care about anything, custom tough from everything. Wow, I'm done with him? Is this how we're going on on vacation like this? And the ball is stress that you know you have go goes vacations all I ever wanted vacations. You can only play thirty seconds of it because that's the that's the rule. But you can talk over it and then there's no rule that Yeah, I could do that anyway. I'm just saying, there's too many things we gotta go quick to know. We're not gonna forget about maltime right now. I am execing my spinker so tight because I have that tissue that's coming to a little turtle head. Oh my god, it is like no, lie, the moment of pants dropped about to touch cloth? Whatever? How did it? Pulling the car lysle Where is she? You see? This is on the show. That's what I'm talking about. That's what I miss. I'm on the affair show. What all these empty promises I'm by talking about? People will never get on the show? Sad an intern that was a producer. We could say, hey, go find us either a book reporter. Where she is we tried to get Well, name all the people we tried to get on the show. Tomay. You tried to get Mersa Tombay, you tried, We got Mersu Tomay on the phone. I'm just saying, but when you tried to get Molly Ringwald on the show. I tried to get Lissa Milano? Where was shake? We were all these girls in the eighties. Where are they? We're doing the car lysle Why can't you guys Clay call us? So that's all I'm saying is where is an intern to go do this for us? That's what we need, or we need a morning show in turn? You all fair shows? Exactly when how did they say vacation? It was took a while. It was the eighties they worked up to then tell me that this so long went on for like this for a minute and half for them just came to the cas Yes, it did sound effect half gentlemen, you know what the biggest hit in America was that took the longest to get to the hook? What Don't Stop Believing by Journey? Really, do you know the part where it wasn't It wasn't American Pie by Don McClain. No, don't stop Believing by journey where it goes Don't Stop Believe? Yeah? Do you have? That song is like four and a half minutes long. Do you know when the first time you hear Don't Stop Believing is like three and a half minutes into the song? Really? Yeah, I didn't know that, dude. You can't play it, dude, I am telling you, dude, I have got holding in you. I'm not even holding it in, dude, I've got tishe coming out like I'm doing. I am doing the tiste dance. I am doing it. Did come on? Let me play it? Oh my, come on, it's everyone's favorite ball anthem. Dude, I've got Okay, I could. I'm telling you I might. I might right here? Oh my god, runs one wrong one you alright? And he's going crazy, wrung one undo? My belt? Were got because I wanted to. I'm on doing my belt right now. No, don't do it. No, I'm not here. I need to breathe though, because I really gotta go. I got Yeah. This song is like four and a half minutes long. Oh my god, I think it three craft I think it three minutes and a half. Finally, and Don't Stop Believing comes in all right, all right, we're gonna let you go. I'm gonna go out of here. M I'm playing and I'm feeling tische right here in my in my kidneys. All right, it's all backed up, all right, Go go, go and go do your most tavern appearance. Where are you gonna be this afternoon? I'm going to Denville, New Jersey, Denville, Denville, most Tavern, most southwest grill. We're off for a couple of weeks. We'll see you yugs and lurks soon, Say Jack, you can see the mos at two'clock. Yeah, say Jack alack. Yeah. Now, I just watch me now. I guess some friend mail friend which won't believe. Just watch me now. I just watch me. I get some tea. You won't believe it. Just watch me now,
Speaker 1: Say, Elvis Durrand presents Off Air Show, Scary Jones and Great Show.
