Speaker 1: Britian. I'm really impressed with you. You've got that weight loss plan in place now, and uh, I want to know how it's going well. Listen. So I lost three pounds the first week and a half. And it's because for me and for for everyone, NOM is not just a diet. Everyone can diet. Everyone's like, oh I diet you you cut down on what you're eating and then you gain it back eventually. Right, the normal right up and down everybody does. It's a lot of yo yo situations with diets. Right. The thing about Noon is it teaches you how to change your life. It teaches you about different types of eating. It what it does is it teaches you how to recognize what you're doing wrong. You're the man who knows everything. Well, I thought I was so um they have a uh the app has built in counselor you can you can interact with this group counselors that you get into a chat and you can talk about how you week is going. Right. So I learned the first week about different types of eating. One of them was fog eating. Fog eating is when your mind is in a fog. You're not paying attention, so you're sitting by the TV and you're eating popcorn and you don't realize what you're doing and the whole ball of popcorn's gone. That's been me guilty is charged. I was fog eating pistachio nuts and you had no idea, no idea. So don't eat in front of a TV. You getstracted. Also, storm eating, well, thank you to them for teaching me about this. Storm eating is when you cut everything fun out of your life, as far as like food, I'm not gonna eating pastries. Then you're at a party and there's a table full of pastries and you go at all of them because you're like having a pastries in a month, so eat seven of them. Storm eat well, you just go crazy. So so you have a guide, a person, a goal special right in place, and then you have this community of people around you all helping you reach your goal right talking about what my challenges were for the week, what I need to work on, and every week there are quizzes and there are tips. It's all built into the app, and every day you're getting alert. You weigh yourself, you you put your food in that you eat and attracts your food and then then based on what you're tracking, they contact you and say, are you ready to have a chat today. It's a few minutes every day, and it's great how they get into your head. I like how they educate you so you could make more you know, more uh intelligent choices, I suppose. Also, I love the fact that you're not going at this alone, because if you're on your own journey, you just think about how how quickly you could fall apart right, But that's not the case with New Right. The goal specialist that interacts with you is a behavior behavior change professional, a nutrition expert, and fitness trainer all in one. And so you're not alone in this. You have something you can reach out to. NEM is designed for results. Meet your resolutions by signing up for your trial today at noon dot com slash Brooklyn. That's for us new n O O M dot com slash Brooklyn. You've got nothing to lose but the weight start up that up Brooklyn, Start Up Brooklyn, buy nominated data. They make a noise data up. Episode seventy. This is the Comedy Award no Manated Brooklyn Boys second place, finishing the runner up. And you know what, we called it out several times before the Podcast Awards that we just came back from in l A. And I'm gonna call it out here and you're gonna agree with me. We won Best Comedy Podcast because Joe rogan Experience is not a comedy podcast. He's a comedian. He's a comedian, Yes, he's He sometimes interviews comics on his podcast, but it is not a comedy podcast. You know what happens when you watch the Emmy Sometimes back in the day, they used to do this with Ally mcbeel if you remember that show. It's a late nineties old show. They do it every year. They have a comedy category, but then because they there's those things that don't quite fit in the category. They're like musical variety but they're not funny, they'll throw them in the comedy category. And then as a comedian, I go, that's not a comedy. It's like the year Jethro Tull won for Best Heavy Metal at the Grammys. We're going back, going back to two thousand one man left to score Are That's one of those examples. But now more than ever, if you look at any awards show, the comedies that are up for the award are not comedies. They never they rarely are their dramas. By the way, I know that Metallica and one Jethro Tall was nineties. You to tweet me, okay. So um, we came in second and we beat Mark Maron, We beat Bill barr we Be and the defunct Two Dope Queens, but we just didn't beat Joe but not a comedy part. Now here's the thing, because it's the I Heart Radio Podcast Awards. Oh, we got a little whisper in our ear that up until the last week we were in the league. So so, first of all, thank you slices, amazing job voting, the fact that we beat all those big name people we got we had so many votes when we asked for the flights out there, because of you guys, we got the flights out there. So at the time we asked for the free flights, we were in the lead and we were I gotta tell you, we do it all. Oh, it all to you, the slices for because it without you, we wouldn't even come close and mean to be. And by the way, if we were in fifth like the Two dub Queens, you're not going out there. You guys suck. But we had a shot, we had a shot a winning at the time, and so we feel like we won, and we lost by only under a thousand votes, which is impressive if you consider the length of time that this contest was out right, if five of you had a couple more Gmail accounts, we would have had a shot. That's how close it was. I'm not blaming anybody. So we get to the hotel the and as right, which back in the day was a hotel where rock stars would trash to place. It was called the Hyatt House, and it was then they called the House. So scarily, we gotta go there, so we asked for that. They booked us there. It was great and we checked not the perfect hotel for us, It was a good hotel, very good hote that would be a good location next to the comedy store, which is great. And we check in and the guys like, okay, great checking in and Scary got his credit card out. So I say to the guy, uh, we're all covered for incidentals right, In other words, we don't have to put a credit card down. The company's paying for everything, and Scaries like, don't gonna pay for everything? I said, what a Brooklyn boys, And you guys, oh no, you're you come for everything. Sure enough, We're covered for everything. Everything. So the little refrigerator in your room, orange juice, cash shows whatever, Thank you, Thank you. I heart media. Speak for yourself. I'm on my diet. Well I I indulged, yea I noticed. Well I didn't have a light of orange juice. I two cans of diet coke. I didn't any expensive. I had an apple at the hospitality. I had room service. I had breakfast one morning, very nice. I gotta say the and does is a nice breakfast, And they said on the special request I put, but ketch up is my special request. I had to look catch the bottle, so cute, so empty. When I was done that. I love when they do the little baby catchup bottles and they give you but it's glass, it is. They can't afford that. I don't know. We can't take it on a plane. So I had to you know, I couldn't take it because I can't check bags. What's scary? You can't check bags? No, you can't know, not with me, don't checking bags. It's a three day trip, three nights, okay and out. There's no no need to wait for a baggage carousel. To start Spain. So here's what happens. We we we pack everything into three days. But we have to have dress up outfits, right, and then casual offits in summer. Summertimes seventy five degree outfits, shorts, everything, and so the weather fluctuates from seventy degrees to fifty at night. Scary packed the clown car. I'm not sure how he does it, but he had an infinite amount of outfits. And at one point, I see he's got a different jacket every day. I said, what are you doing? He was, I wore three jackets to the airport. That's where he wore three jackets home. He laid all his jacket layer at them. Yeah. I started with the hoodie. Then I went to the heavier one, and then the the one that's big on me. That one was the old that's the lightweight, the quilty looking one, the quilty one. Yeah, three coats, and I'm like, and there has to be I'm like, I was trying to go for rock and roll chic. I'm like, so everything that I wanted to and roll everyone's like was that Brooklyn industrial rock and roll sheet. We'll talk about the red carpet a minute. I do want to talk about the plane ride. So Scary, as you know, pay two three extra dollars. And by the way, halfway through the flight, I get a text from Brody Dude, I would have paid that money now worth every page. Okay, why would you at the show? But I'll tell you why. First of all, going to l a six hour flight almost and how many homes at four hours and she coming with four twenty but not no no part reverence. But um, on the flight going, it didn't look like Scary had any extra leg room. Now, so I don't know what he paid for. I have no idea. He got to be further up on the plane. But all that meant was he had to wait outside the plane for me to get off the plane is no big deal. So I get the window seat and next to me is a husband and wife who I think are Israeli or there. They may be American now, but they're speaking Hebrew and the sound Israeli to me, and so um they're doing like a seat. I don't speak Hebrew. That well, I'm not going I'm just gonna say it's like I can do that. Okay, So there a lot and then every once in a while I hear armrest right or left, I hear like I hear English words. So I realized she's bitching to him about me. Now, as some of you know, I had right elbow surgery, uh December, and so I still have some very tender spots on elbow that haven't completely healed yet, and my arm hurts from the surgery. It's not completely loose yet. So I'm sitting on the left side by the window, so my left arm is against the plane and the armrest, and my right arm is on an armrest. Now, the guy on the aisle, her husband, he's got the right armrest and his left armrest, which he shouldn't have. The wife in the middle is now can't get to the right armrest because he's on it. So she is jockeying for position on the left armrest with me. So you sit down, you PLoP your grass in the seat, You put your right arm on the armrest, claim it. I put it towards the front because that's the angle it's comfortable. She goes towards the back. And then every time I like, I'm afraid to scratch my face with my right hand because she's gonna take over the armrest. The thing is the middle seat person is sitting, bitch. So if you're sitting, bitch, don't you deserve both Armska there's two trains of thought. Because I looked it up online. There's some people who say, you get the bad seat. First of all, poor planning. No one told you to sit. As a window seat person, you still the left one, and as an aisle seat guy, you get the one on the right. But the aisle seat guy her husband took both of his. That no, it's her because he took her right one. So now all she has is the left one that I'm willing to share. But because she's got nothing, well, no, she's got half of the left one, and my arm hurts. So yes, I have the left one by the wall, but I have no place to put my right arm. I can't put it next to me because if I put it down next to me, it's hitting the side of the arm rest and it hurts. So Brody then text me, okay, that's not why. So we we had the armrest, the silent armrest battle. Neither one of us said anything. We never made eye contact, but I could tell she was like looking to eat You guys have words. No, she doesn' speak English. So my problem was I can't left, and he's looking at me. He's looking at me like I don't know what to do with this guy, right, okay, right, all right, so I could see he's annoyed. Then and take off, I have to have my my earphones in. I'm listening to music because it helps me get through the takeoff. This is a certain arist in a certain song I listened to every time a plane takes off, the same which one Surfing with the Alien by Joe Satriani. I don't think it's in here, you know what? Maybe so you gotta so when you play it, why is it that song? Can I just be loud music to drown out the sounds, because to me, it's like who cares? It's like a song there symbolism because it starts off with like the sound of a plane taking off, and it's it's supposed to be the Silver Surfer and um from the comic books, and it's like, so you're following along and then it's like it's loud guitar and it comforts me. And he's my favorite artist. Well he comforts me, so he taps me on the shoulder. And pulls the earphone out of my ear and goes, it's very loud. He's very loud, so I said he reached two seats. He reached behind her, so that was right. I was like, oh, I'm sorry, which I was. I was jenuinely sorry. I was too loud. I made it low or not a problem. By the way, who the fund is he gonna tell you if something is too loud or not. Well, okay, but I'm trying to be polite. Turns out the woman right, I was pitching about me. So I was nice. I got up Toto the bathroom. When they got up to go to the bathroom, I said, so even when they got up, I was extra nice. I said, I'm gonna I'm gonna walk around the plane so you guys can sit back down, because I didn't want them to stand up waiting for me. I went to see you. You out called sleeping. That's when I saw you didn't have extra I was relaxed. No, I had extra room. I was just relaxed. I was stretching out. Okay, So you know I don't like flying. I get very tense during turbulence. This woman in a way helped me. After while I realized she was helping me. Every time the plane rattled a little bit or or did a little turbulence because they said going over Colorado, have turbulence. She goes and she grabs the head rest and he got the microphone when you do all right, And the husband puts his hand on her leg to calm her down. And then the plane goes and everyone's turning around like she's yelling. So she's having an orgasm something like that. Yeah, like I'll have what she's having. So we we land at L A X. And you remember the landing the plane bound plane. Yeah, I had a little friendly bounce like bounce. So so it landed and some as they land, yeah, sometimes they'reing science. So the plane with boooooop, right, and she would oh so my, you know me, my nasty attitude towards the woman making that noise distracted me from my own anxiety. I was so annoyed at her. Oh that you forgot that you were scared. Yeah, So I was like, look at this dumb bitch and she wasn't. Yeah, she was annoyed. I don't he's the word bitch very often. But she was a Dave Brody. She was dad. I looked at It's like, you look at this whimp and as I'm as I'm condescending in my mind to her, it made me feel better. So ultimately, thank you. So yeah you could. Yeah, But when she would play in the arm the armrest game with me, I wanted out, So I facetiously thank She's one of those people that you know stood up as soon as the plane. Uh no, no, no, no, she wasn't like three with the cat and the dog or whatever that was. People are fucking morons on my flight on the way out to Miami. Was it in December? We we just landed on the runway and we're still going three hundred miles an hour and planes trying to slip down. Some asshole just gets up where you're going and he's like reaching in the overhead compartment like like he to grab his bag, And the lady had to get on the microphone and said, guys, who were in an active runway, what are you doing? So impatient? So I sat in the back of the plane both times. So on the way home, you're such a bathroom smeller, but no I wasn't. It was I don't smell the bathroom on the way back, they made an announcement boarding groups one to three, no problem, boarding groups four and five, you'll have to check your bags full flight. We're packed. Anyone who volunteers to check their luggage, we'd appreciate it. So scary as like you're scary. Was in two groups, he was fine. I was in three, but they were like, we might have to book three also, and have you guys do and sas like you are not, you are not putting checking your bag. So I felt like telling the woman he will not let me check my bag, I'm sorry. So I got on the line. I was. I was at the end of the two is beginning of the threes. Then saything it was fine, So getting the back of the plane and I get my bag in fast. But now the other threes are getting on the plane and everything's kind of filled. Well, so some guy was sitting across from me and what they did on this plane, I've never seen this before. I'm sure it happens. The first, the last one or the last two overhead storage bins were plane stuff, oxygen tanks and extra vests. So he he doesn't care what that is. He starts moving that stuff out of the way. He turns the bag of supplies sideways to get his bag in so that the the flight attendants towards. She comes over and she's like, excuse me, so you can't touch that. He's like, my bag doesn't fit. Yeah, you can't touch our equipment. We need that. I have to have access to it. He's like, well, why can't you access that if I turn it? She said, because it opens on the front and if you put it on the side, I can't get to the front. He's like, oh, all right, Well they should design They tells her they should design the bags better. They should make them long and narrow, not wide, so that they take up the up a room in an over had storage ben because they knew this scumbag was coming. Right, So she says, I'll make sure to make a note of that, thank you. So yeah, In other words, go funk yourself right right. It's like when you call up and you and you complain on a customer service, you go, I just want you to know when I pressed too it said it was gonna be this, but it wasn't. You should fix that. We'll make a note of that. Have a blessed day. You're not making a note of that, bless your heart. Yeah. She was like, oh yeah, I'll make a note of that. Yeah, making And he was like, oh great, they'll make a note of him. But I did. I improved. That is going to be to the pilot. Hey, this assholes trying to fucking move our equipment around. And we flew United. Yes, right, the planes are fine. But I gotta say, the snack bag couldn't be any smaller, Like Jet Blue gives you the regular like five inch size bags. I got two and a half inches of pretzel little like niblets. It looked like Gerbil food, like little niblets of pretzels. Yeah like that. Yeah, I was kind of impressed. They served the meal though. That was a surprise. Well what meal? I didn't get a meal? A meal in each direction? No meal. You did not get a meal. I passed on it. I can't eat it because I'm on a diet. You get me the meal. I had no idea that. No, that's why was it. Hold let's wait, well you got in front of the plane meal, Like get a meal? Is that a thing? You must have got it because you're in front of the plane. You bete extra? No, no, no no, hold on, I didn't get any audience needs to understand this. Okay, here's a revelation right here on the podcast. Down the meal. Yeah, but where your boy gets a meal? What's up every No hold on? You want me to steak dinner at a plain meal? Now? No, no no hold on a second. Here the first class gets their meals. That's that I was not. I was not. I was not in first class? Hold on? Did you notice what they do now? So in the old days on old regularly, I don't know, I've never seen this before. You'd get in the front, like right behind the pilot, and you'd walk through first class to get to the shitty seats on the United those pods, they're like tube like cones of privacy, like little chairs with domes. Those are in the front. Now you go in the middle of the plane, you get in behind those pods. So you make a left to go to the h the cool seats, or you make a right to go to the crappy seats. So we didn't have to so the rich people didn't have to see us walk by podcast number one, number two placed nominated podcast were not good enough for them. I bet it was. Joe Rogan was sitting in the front. Back to the meals for a second, because I'm trying to figure this out. I didn't get a meal. All of a sudden, they start on the seven. I was in row nine and it was this row seven. They start with row seven, which is coach economy, and they start handing out meals and they said, hey, here's and it was a full meal. Brody. It was like it was like an entree. It was an appetizer's a whole thing. And I'm like, oh my god, I guess when you go across country they feed the plane. That's what I thought. That's old school they used to do that. They start doing the meals, meals, meals, and then it was behind me, so I didn't even look back, but I just assumed they did the whole plane. Have you give some people of economy meals and others not because they segregate people. Nobody in the back of the plane got a meal. You sure about that? Yes, Mr and Mrs bl they didn't get a meal. Maybe that's what I paid for and I'm in my upgrade. Well, it's not worth I would have given. I couldn't need anything. I passed on in four times after the first meal. Wouldn't you have said, hey, Brodie, I didn't have the meal I passed up on. I go what meal? Then you would have given me. You and I bought food to get on the plane because we didn't have a meet, know, And I'm sitting there thinking, oh my god, Brodie must be double stuff now because he's because he's got the meal and then he's got another meal. By the way, whoever found my ruben sandwich on the way home at the Newark Airport urinal shelf, Poor bastard Brody. I had too many. So okay, so we land. Scary leaves the plane because he's in the front. But I waited for you. You did not. You texted me I'm at the bathroom on the left. Okay, So I get off the plane. I now have my garment bag, my suitcase, my backpack and the food I didn't finish. Because I bought two meals for the plane, I only ate one of them. So I've got this delicious thick ruben sandwich on a time one uh corn beef, corn, but cheese and tomato, just like I like it. Beautiful French fries. Now I'm out of hand, so I have no Russian dressing that gets mustard, not thousand island dressing. So mustard all the way. All right, anyway, mustard, what kind of you are? You? A good one? You don't you don't put mustard. Speaking of ketchup, you all don't need to send me this already got it four or five times. I appreciate the love, the hinz ketchup, caviar bites, the caviar, little nuggets of ketchup. I gotta have him. He doesn't put mustard on the sand Hate mustard, hate mustard. I won't put mayo on it either. That's that's so. Continuing with so I get so I I so. Then Scary texted me, oh, I'm not by the bathroom. Uh, that one was too crowded. I'm at the bathroom at the end. So all right, So I go in the bathroom where he said he was too crowded. Wasn't crowded because it was twenty minutes later when I got off the plane. Everyone went home. And when you go to pee at the urinals, there's alleged in front of you, a big allege to put things down. So I put the sandwich up, and I paid. Best of all, it's disgusting bringing a sandwich. It was in two bags to put a he put it on a piss ledge. It's not a piss ledge, it's it's six. Hi. You put your sandwich and no one is pissing up over the ledge. He even bring the food in the bathroom. Okay, next time, I'll put my suitcase up there. I had. It was okay. It was in a plastic bag, in a bag in a plastic container. It's fine. It's fine. So in the time it took me to pay and turn around the airport, I forgot the sandwich. So I'm walking now all the way to the other end of the terminal where Scary said, I'm going to the other one. So I'm walking to the one, and Scary goes, oh, I'm already downstairs by ground transportation. He couldn't wait for me, You prick. You went all the way to the other end. It was the fourth bathroom I tried. It was the final one had people overflowing out of it. That's what people do in a bathroom, they overflow, that's what they do. They pay. I get. All I can tell you is it was way too many people from my liking. So I went to the baggage claim Here's a little here's a little scary tip when you're at the airport. Well, I don't tip in the bathrooms. Hold it in until you get too downstairs to the way. The baggage claimed area is by ground transportation because there's always a bathroom down there, and it's seldom used. You know why, because people are waiting for their bags and by that time they've drained their bladders and they've seen five bathrooms. And everyone knows the first bathrooms we get the free corn beef sandwiches. Well, good luck to that person. I'm surprised you didn't fly all the way back to l A to get your money back. No, it was at Newark when we landed. Are you not listening to this podcast? Hen rewind and go back into when we landed in Los Angeles. I mean at Newark. I know was you ought. You bought it in l A, right, but I left it Newark. But your money you paid for in l As. You didn't fly back to go get your money. No, I would have gone back to Newark and taken my sandwich. No one's by the way, I don't have to tell the audience. I was gonna go back. We all the way outside, where's my sandwich? Over was waiting for us, and he that's when he discovers he's without his on beef and I said, and he looks at me, oh my god, I left it on the ledge and he's like heat first fleeting back for a fleeting moment, He's like, I think I want to go back and get this. It was a good sandwich. You're gonna take your own fucking uber home because I'm getting And then I said, well, you know what, I expensed it on the company, So all right, that was so any thing. If I had paid for that sandwich, I would go back with that sandwich. By the way, I got a lot of ship. Last week, I dropped the ball. I apologize. People called me out on it on social media. I didn't last week you mentioned Dr you know who, and I didn't hit the jingle and everyone got mad at me if not hitting the jingle. So that's your jingle, everybody. Episode sixty nine, I owed your jingle? Was that the free that was? Even though that's not free dessert? No, that's even I'm giving a little delay on it. Wow, I give him delay because I owed it to him. I forgot. You owed me that you slipped it in and I was enthralled by your conversation and I didn't hit the jingle. Is that what it was? It was the enthralling parts. By the way, can we get back to the podcast awards? Want to go back to the podcast? Well, of course we didn't even talk about l A what we did be so on all of the big shots at our company were coming up to us. We went to the I Heart Radio Theater in Los Angeles. Have you ever been to one in New York. It's a nice theater. It holds like two people, three people We okay, but there's a stage, it's right on a lobby and it's it sounds great, there's lights. It's a beautiful theater. Then you go to the one in Los Angeles which used to be Jay Lenos Theater for the Tonight Show, which is located next door to where Johnny Coston did the Tonight Show, I mean legendary space, right. So we walk in it's like beautiful theater. But let's talk about when we first got there. So we would scare and I would take in turns, ordering uber and lift because we would expense it. So like who wants to put on their credit card, but I figured on the no no, no, wait. So the whole time we're there, we're in Prius is little camrays hun days litt shitty cause you know, normal, normal size, cause nothing wrong with them. I have a small car if my wife does, right, So so I kind of car. Look at the ober. So he's like, what time is it? Car? Get here in three minutes? Okay, all of a s this giant was a Chevy suburban, a huge black Chevy suburban with tinted windows. I go, dude, what is you? What is this? We got lucky? He says, what do you say? I said, dude, we gotta splurge. You gotta show up. You gotta show up big. I mean because honestly, when we are the arrival is the single most important moment. And if you think about any arrival, a red carpet arrival, what do you think you think of fancy cars showing up? Limousine s I went boogee on that one moment to get that car. So we get dropped off and guess what we were there? Not? I want to get to what would happened we got there? Hold on, hold on, okay before that so so yes, I felt good. It felt great like And the rest of the time we were around in l A we leave. Fuck it. When we leave here, no one's gonna know, it's gonna see us to Common Street corner. We just jump into a fucking Honda. I do want to say. All of the other times we got into the Uber lifts louvers uh, scary and eyes sat in the back. Sometimes he would open the door and I would walk around. Sometimes I would he would walk around. It was good, but what are the ours? He didn't want to walk around, And so I got open the back door and scar he goes, I'll sit in the front, And so he gets in the front, goes, you know, mind if I sit here, right? And the guys like, h right, what's wrong sitting in the front. It seems awkward to me when there's only two of us and you choose to sit with the uber driver rather than sit with me in the back. The guy had no interest in you coming up there. He's like, oh, all right, I guess I'm fine. Then he had to make a conversation with you because you were talking and asking them all kinds of questions, but you didn't want to walk around the car. I just think it's awkward. I don't think it's uber etiquette. Well uber kutt. Actually, when Lift started in l A, we'll actually started in San Francisco or London, whatever wherever, these whatever, whenever they whenever they started on the West coast. Um, they preferred you to sit up front with the driver because it was almost like your friend coming to pick you up. So they wanted to establish that. So it was not uncommon, um for you to jump in as a passenger in the front seat next to the driver. Uh, this is a fact, by the way, you could look this up. In fact, it was actually considered rude when you would open up the back door and sit in the back seat and them treating you like a cab. That's when the rideshare service was first nate. So so if you do it, get a lift or an Uber in l A or San Francisco, it's it's not uncommon for you to jump in the front seat because but that's where that's where the whole concept was born out Right, So we're in this giant suburban right and we we we we got lost, and you're trying to give him direction of the record. It wasn't. It was fifty dollars. It was, and it was worth every PA. And if we weren't expensing it, would you still have done it? No? Okay, right, thank you? I hurt media. Okay, So we we we pulled into this giant lot and his people with flags and clipboards and everything, and so like this is gonna be great. We're gonna show up this paparazzi. When we get out of the car. We got a sport jackets on right, a blazers whatever you one called industrial cheek. We look good, We look good, I said, we look decent, we look diet. Okay. So we get out of the person on twitter oh FM. So we get out and it wasn't the staging area. It was two guys with clipboards and some girl with a clipboard who worked for our company, and like, uh you guys checking in. We're like, yeah, we're the guys who just got out of that big suburban okay. And we give him our names and like okay, yeah, Brooklyn boys got it. Okay, go down there. And so we had a walk like fifty yards to get wherever we're supposed to go. Nobody saw us out of the car. It was a wasted opportunity. I'm saying we should there was nobody that we should should have stayed with. So they put us over and as we check in, and a couple of women were like in like evening gowns with silver and glitter on them, like a real award show. So we walked to an area some people took it very seriously. Did take it very seriously. And so there's a like a staging area parking lot. There's a wall with an opening, and if you go through that opening, it was the red carpet popular the most embarrassing. Hold on, hold on, hold on, how you want to hold Okay, so it does fifty people still on our first topic, I know, there's like fifty people in this parking lot. And Charlemagne the God from the Breakfast Club and MTV shows and he's, you know, Charloman the God is he's a friend of Oz. He works down the hall, and so he's there and we're chatting whatever. He looks good, we look pretty decent. Right. He's with Wax, his bodyguard, who we love, the greatest guy ever, Wax, And so I'm like, hey, why don gonna grab a picture? Yea, all right, no problem. I said, well, you know what, it's dark at this point is like seven o'clock. Who was getting dark out? What were you doing? I'll tell you what I'm doing, so I might have a I have a great phone in the Galaxy Samsung Galaxy note no, not a sponsor, and as a as a great takes a great picture, and at night, it takes pretty good pictures. You don't needt a flash. But you know what it's that, it's that sort of dark where you're not sure if you get a flash. Not twilight but dark, but not really fully dark. So there's a crowd behind us of all the people waiting to go into the podcast award show to walk the red carpet. So I figure it's all podcasters. I don't recognize anybody. It's all nerds like gods, Sooper do podcasts. So I hold up my phone and I take a picture with the flash on of the proud just so I can see how it's gonna look. So I take the flash and this girl wearing glasses spins around like who's taking my picture? Why had the flash go off? What's it? And so I go, oh, sorry, I'm just checking the flash out. Now if it's a normal person. They go, oh, no problem. Turns out it was a celebrity who gave me that look like yeah, okay, boy, I noticed it right away, so I go, oh shit. So I so I realized it's Sarah Highland, who plays the oldest sister on Modern Family Love Her. So she turns back to right, let's taking right. So I go, So we take the picture of Charlemagne with the flash comes out great. We put it up on on all of our social media at David Brodie, at Scary Jones, at Brooklyn Boys, the Brooklyn Boys on Instagram, and then so I figured out, let me go over to Sarah Highland because here's the crazy part. That morning on Elvis Straight in the Morning Show, we did a topic called who did you know before they were famous? Now granted scary, and I thought someone would call who knew us even though we're not really famous. Nobody called, but some girl called who went to school with Tail Swift and I knew her back in the day. And one girl called who said, oh, I went to school with Sarah haland from on her family. What are the odds? Right? So I'm like, oh my god. So I'm like, this is a great way I can introduce myself and bring up that we were talking about on the Radar Show. So I interrupted her, excuse me, I'm Sorr, I interrupted, I didn't mean to take your picture. I was taking seeing if I just used the flash I'm really sorry. I believed the picture. I didn't have the back of her head. I'm not gonna post it's back of head. Maybe I will Sarah Holland back your head. So I said, listen, this is gonna sound weird, but uh, I'm David Brody from elstre in the Morning Show. We're nominated tonight for Best Comedy Podcast. And I said, may have heard of us. She did not, And I said, listen, I love Modern Family. I haven't miss an episode. I'm sorry. I was just checking the flash out. But here's the thing. I'm want a syndicate in the Morning Show. I was in the Morning Show, and crazy as it sounds, we were having this conversation. I tell about the conversation and a girl called, who said you went to school with you? No way, who was it? Like I would know the girl? So because like I was planning to know her name in case I bumped into Sarah Hiland at an event I didn't know she was gonna be at. So I say, I have no idea who it was, but you can go on the Elvis Duran on demand channel and I her radio for today's show and listen to the third or fourth segment, whatever I thought it was, and you'll hear it. Oh my god, I gotta And she put on her phone to listen to the podcast, and she was, well, what did she say? I go? She said really nice things about you. So I I talked to her about modern Family. I walk away very sweet and I tell Scare of the story and he says, Brodie shouldn't have done that. I said why, Yeah, Scary says because the girl who said she went to school, I was saying that she had bug eyes. That's right, and then she was ugly as a kid, that's right. And I didn't remember that. Fine, that's right, there was. So now she's gonna go listen to the demand channel. Oh you hear her being like, holy shit, what why did this guy direct me to this audio? Like I want to hear this right? So I forgot that hold on Instagram who said that we needed to take lessons from Elvis when it comes to get because we looked like an unmade bed. Fuck you, fuck you deleted texts I blocked that blocked him her or whatever um anyway, anyway, so she was she was nice and I so least she won't be too offended. But in the fairness. And then she has big eyes now and that's part of what makes it so beautiful. And when we went into the to the venue, it was like set up like the Golden globes. Well, all the tables of all the mucketing MUCKs and important people are up front with those those round tables with food on it were front. We were there, so we were like one table to the left of center, which is all why we thought we were gonna win. Right, so Scary goes right by the staircase. That's so we can go up the staircase. Purpose you've seen award show, all the winners are up front, right, so like we have to win. We're in the first table. So they didn't serve food. They told us it wasn't gonna be food, but there were appetizers. They were a little like you know those always trays and I have three levels on them. So there were three levels of food. The top level was macaroons on top. But they had this like shrimp tail in a cup and then some ship that's like seller. I wouldn't need it, so I had a shrimp. The eight of us at the table, well half table was empty. Then to Grace sits down to for Grace from that seventy show, doesn't say a ward, doesn't hello, just sits there. Because the boy's got a new podcast coming out, so he's on his podcast. So he was Dr Drew prince Pinkey, Mike Tyson, Mike Tyson. Okay, Mike Tyson's probably doesn't listen to the Brooklyn Boys podcasts. A heavyweight champion, alright, his belly is like what, Yeah, he's he's a big boy. Now, I mean he's he's fat. No, I'm just saying pointed out not to meet you can listen. Uh, we're not the thinnest piece of what happens to a lot of people with a lot of celebrities, a lot of athletes, Well you know, you stopped training and whatever. He's living high on being a millionaire. Anyway, Jillian Michaels was there. She probably could have worked him out. She looked good. Yeah, a lot of celebrities, Ma Dak Shepherd was there now. Dak Shepherd and his podcast co host announced the awards for Comedy Podcast Now. If you didn't see it, it's on you can search for it on we lost. Yeah, we lost, it's on. Hold on the spoiler. Somebody posted on Twitter the whole show. It's like an hour and a half. You could you could see, well, we were happy for ourselves. So normally on when you go to the like you watch the Emmy's the Oscars Comedy Best Comedies like next to Last, the Right Second, which was shitty because if we won then we'd be like high on a cloud the whole show. But we lost, and we had a like smile for the camera the whole, the whole, the whole uh awards that I was okay with it. I was happy to be there now. But did you notice there was a chat room where you could live chat the live stream on I Her radio so people could like you could follow like what people were saying when we lost. The entire screen because we had screenshots sent to us was all of the slices saying the Brooklyn Boys should have won and you guys got ripped off, So thank you again. Hashtag slices for supporting us in the chat room that we didn't win, and we love you for on the way back, or in the airport something. I was searching for water, and I know we talked about this. You were searching for water. We're searching for something house hold. On a second, no, no, I was searching for cottage cheese. Okay, well yeah, I said, I'm looking for pizza something. You're like, I'm looking for cottage cheese. Cheese. You can't gonna find cottage cheese in an apple? Why not? That's awfully specific, don't you think. I mean, they have those mini marchs, they have Hudson News, they have all these places. Hudson News sells fig Newton's and cookies and chips, and they have they have marketplaces, they have Why would they listen? You know what I found? I found two fully peeled um to fully peel hard boiled eggs, bag cheese, and a pound of bean sprouts and some fried zucchini. And it's it's not a common to fine cottage cheese the airport. Fuck you, Brodie, Fuck you cottage cheese, you and your fucking diet. All right, okay, but that's not the point. I was also looking for water when I used New Mike eat whatever I want in moderation, although they suggest they eat more greens because it's a sponsor this podcast. Their sponsor not slipping it in. And now listen real quick, that was a slipping that wasn't They didn't pay for that. That's stended value. They call it added value. Dot doctor, you know who doesn't sponsor this podcast. But I will say this, I was looking for water. We talked about this on the Big Show for a brief moment, and you thought I had three heads. You're like, and I said, excuse me, can I change the cold one for a room temperature one? And these people yeah, and the refrigerator and the guy you you yelled at me in front of all these people, who like, why would you want the room temperature one? And I'm like, well, you mind your own business. I want to temperature water because it's healthier for you. It's better for you. I've never heard such a thing. And I've never heard the sky on earth and you've never heard that. You've never heard of anyone dying from cold water in refrigerator, never said that. You're putting words in my mouth. All I'm saying is that room temperature water is better for you. It's better for your metabolism and digestion. Let me tell you, Brodie, You're like, all right, yeah, yeah, but it seemed like a weird thing. On today's Elva show, you admitted that you always thought one water was better, but it turns out it's not really bad. That is, that's not true. We said that. You said, I stand by it, Brodie, just because you just because you believe in it or heard of it, doesn't mean that it's not. But you didn't always do that. The only trendy thing you read, you're not getting. It's not a trendy thing. And why wy don't you buying Seltza water? You know what? Everybody google it, don't don't don't tweet us because you will see the health benefits of room temperature water versus ice cold water. You're you're it's better for your bodies. You heard that here from me? Now, um, hold on, can I say one thing? Yeah, you could say several. Okay, So we talked today about water and seltzer and you said you learned something right, What did you learn that club soda? Club soda and seltzer are not the same thing. Seltza, also known as soda. Soda water is not the same as club soda. Club soda has added sodium and salt, and it's also preferred for mixed drinks. Right then, somebody texted in today and said, oh, club soda is the same thing as tonic water. To the rule of correcting us right, tonic water is a bitter carbonated soft drink made with quinine used as a mixer with gin. Is not club soda. Not right, it's tonic water is not club soda. So Brodie II on them. It's like billy rule. But want to correct the people, Le's be right, Well it's true. That's our rule is. If you're gonna correct us, be right. I can tell you what he should have been looking for at the airport. What's that Feltman's hot Dogs? Oh yeah, well you know what. I couldn't find those. But then again, the airport is not worthy of a Feltman's of Coney Island hot dog. No. If you go to Feltman's of Coney Island dot com, you will see the legacy. You will read the story of Charles Feltman inventing that hot dog. He inteen sixty seven. He invented it in eighteen sixty seven. Nathan worked for him and then went off on his own afterwards. The thing that that's great about a Feltman's hot dog there's no nitrates, no nitrites, there's no filler, no, none of that stuff. And it's not as salty. You don't get that after taste. You know, you don't have to drink gallons of water after Feltman's of Coney Allen hot dog. They are made cleaner than those other guys. If only there was a big game coming up, that would make sense to have hot dogs. And look at my calendars. Big game coming up, Brody. By the way, we legally have to say that, yeah, because they're not a sponsor the big game. So, but they're sponsor of us, you know, so when you're going to pick out your food, yeah, you know what, you have time now at the time of this recording, you've got a weekend a couple of days. Order your hot dogs from Feltman's on Amazon, on jet dot com. Get them this way you have them ready to go for the big game. They're also in um They're also in uh Mrs Green's if you have one near you, shop right and uh more importantly, you can go to Coney all and pick them up live right there by the cyclone. Yeah, if you're if you're on surface, you coney Allen, grab yourself. Feltman's of Coney Island dot com hot Dog. We got so much more to do. I got a little more to rant about right after this, all right, So there was that we're back, all right, so that since we just played a couple of commercials, I do want to rip a couple of commercials because we had a couple. We we gotta go. That's Friday, we're recording this day late. I want, all right, so I want to talk about um let's talk about grubhub for a second. So Grubhub not a sponsor. There's a commercial, there's not not really, there's a commercial drives me crazy. It's a commercial that that talks about the app. So when you watch it now, it's gonna drive you crazy as well. So when you film a phone, you can't get the screen to look good. So what they always do is they put um like green screen on the phone and then they superimpose an image onto the phone. So when you see someone looking at their phone on television, right, they're not looking at that it's like when it's like that, because we filmed the video for Norwegian Cruise Line the same same contract. It's also like when you watch people on their computers, usually what's on the computer screen because the flickering rate, the flicker rate of a computer screener phone isn't the same as the cameras. I don't know why they don't make it the same, but anyway, you can't film a computer screen and get a good view of it, so it's always fake. So the woman has her finger and she's taking it from the bottom of the phone to the top of the phone as if she's scrolling up. But it's like she's waving a magic wand she's nowhere near the phone, and the thing is flying, the screen is flying, and her fingers going very slowly, so that right there looks cheesy and terrible. Second of all, it says, when you have grub Hub, you can order some of this and some of this, and some of this and even some of this. So when you hear this, I want you to know, right when you listen to the commercial, they're showing you like broccoli and cheese and pasta, and then like tortal line Alfredo and then something else. Listen to the fourth thing. Grub Hub is a delivery app that lets you order any food your heart and this or this or maybe a little bit of this, okay, maybe a little bit of this. Okay. So the first one was some kind of broccoli and cheese, whatever it was. The second one was Tortal line Alfredo or whatever, so you can have some of that. The third one or even some of this. It was a hamburger. You can't order some of the burger. So the voice over people had no clue what was going to be filmed, and the filming people had no clue what was going to be A voice said, we're going to insert that later in post. Yeah, here's again. Grub Hub is a delivery aft and stomach designs, so you can order this, maybe a little bit of this, or maybe a little bit of this. Well maybe some places give you a throat of a burger. Yeah, they are half eaten burgers. If you, I'm sorry you f you grub ub. Here's one of the commercial I have to have. I have to find fault with. I mean, listen to this commercial. It's a Bank of America, Bank of America. I actually remember Bank of America and it's voiced by the vice President Bank of America, Martin Briggs. Here we go, Bank of America. Right Hailing, car sharing, caring, mobility services are proliferates, and there's a new generation who don't seem to want to own cars in the first place. It all means massive disruptions of the car industry, cities, businesses, and investors. Okay, Martin Briggs doing a commercial for car industries and the investment part hop dank holl la la. Did you hear that he's British. He's the vice president Bank of America. The whole commercials filmed in London, and and he's British. Every scene is in London, the cars are on the wrong side of the road, and he's talking about American cars and American industry and Bank of America. Fuck you film your commercial with an American English acts American accent like ours, good old American Brooklyn accent, using American film filming in somewhere in America. This is a Bank of England. What the fuck so a few Bank of America commercial Martin Briggs? Listen this guy right tailing, car sharing, car pooling, mobility services of car Pooling. That has to be a reason why they filmed it there, because he didn't want to leave his home in Britain. He's like, MT, I'll film the Bank America commercial raw here, right, so f you, I just I'm get on your private plane flight to America, film a commercial, or get in front of a green screen and pretend you're in America. Yeah, that's pretty It's not Chase, it's not Capital One, it's Bank of America. I'm sorry, I agree. No, I agree with you if that's the case. I'm trying to defend the guy for a second, to try to understand. I'm sure he's a good guy. No, I'm trying to understand. Did they have a motive for being in in in London to have a blaze. That's a blatant disregard for their brand America. I don't have a problem with the guy rising the vice president of a company, God bless him. But if if you're gonna be the guy who's in the commercial, I can't put a Feltman's hot dog in your hand. Give me some America. Get an Apple, add value, added value for Feltmon's. We love them. What are you doing? Yeah? All right, whatever, Alright, to those are my two. That's my mini rants about I can't. I can't with commercials, I can't. Uh, should we talk about Peter Luker doing update on Peter Luger real quick? Yeah? Well you know if the steak house that we couldn't get through this is your first episode of Brooklyn Boys, well, well well it's gonna make this be the first one. And then start listening in order from zero right back up. You want to give him a reminder of that kind if you want, but anyway, maybe not because it's not ready by the way we go, Yeah, booking boys, start end up from zero, nyaha. That's right, start end up from zero, not glass. Start end up from zero, nyaha. Start end up from zero. To catch you up. A couple of episodes ago, Brody wanted to make reservations for a birthday at Peter Luker's, a very famous steak on a specific date to date in Brooklyn, New York, where the original and only well, there's another couple of locations. Whatever, they'll take us. But the point is he and now you got me saying that your bastard. Anyway, the point is Brody wanted to go to this birthday and have it, but he could never get through. Every time he picked the phone, it was busy am to eleven pm. Busy buignal, busy busy. Who has a busy signal anymore? We don't know they even existed. So we started calling every the last couple of podcasts, we even had our listeners call and most of them didn't get through. But a couple of you guys did get through finally, right and you're like, oh, well you know I got through. Well, no names, but we want to thank you who made the reservation for us. One of you guys, one of our slices got through found whatever availability, made like a Thursday eleven am reservation for Peter Luger Steakhouse Force, which was very nice to that. It was very accurate. But but the bit was, wasn't us just trying to make a reservation anytime it was? I wanted it was a birthday and you know, Saturday night, we wanted reservations. So but thank you for making the reservation. But I hope they canceled it. But the point was, eventually some people did get through, but scary and I called from the car right home from the airport, was still busy. It really was so, but thank you for so that's the update. So we're not going to encourage you any further to call their number any further because I wonder how many people got through and just hung up in their face. And it's all because of us. Now that Peter Luker's is suffering these crank phone calls, so I guess I'm sorry, but it's their own it's their own fault for being busy all the time. Yeah, that's that their punishment. Did well? Update? Did you make your reverservation? They don't have availability when I wanted. After after all that, after all that, you've done. Okay, what are you gonna do? Alright? Bank of America? Someone used jokes us joke time. I'll tell you what. Let's get done used jokes. But first I want to talk about it. Another app that I'm in love with, and that's the robin Hood app. Wow, we're talking, We're we're heavy on the apps right now. I just want to listen. So you and I download the robin Hood app. We've talked about this before. And by the way, it looks sexy. This app feels sexy. It does. I feel like I was a high roller. It's an app that lets it helps you invest in stocks. You sign up, you get a free stock, which is great. We love that. Um there's no cost, no commission fees. Uh sometimes you have to pay like ten bucks to make a trade or whatever. It's all free on on the robin Hood app. The thing is a lot of people say looking at themselves like like they're not talking to me. That's wrong, that's right, it's not. It's not. Financial services work for everybody. It's not just for rich people people like us. And the thing that makes the robin Hood app great, it's it's not. It's the non intimidating way for stock market newcomers to invest for the first time and make sure that you're doing it with true confidence. They give you easy to understand charts and market data. You know that sounds intimidating, but it shouldn't be, at least not with the app. Plus, they let you search and buy helpful searches to let you buy stock in a genre that you want. Oh, I want stock from a hundred most popular companies, or entertainment stock or social media or only owned by female CEOs, run those companies. Whatever you want. They let you search and buy the kind of stock that you want. Uh, and then I get little alerts on my phone it says, oh your stock is up, your stock is down here and they get stock tips in my pop ups as well. Right soon, and we want to hook you up now and we want to give you um on behalf of robin Hood. You're gonna get a free stock. This is how you can do it, and so you can get get it kicked off with. I mean it's pretty much I mean free stock. Hello, you just sign up and sign up. You go to Brooklyn dot dot dot com. Okay, remember this is different than the other stuff we talk about. Okay, it's Brooklyn dot robin hood dot com. They gave us around U r L you go that you enter through so you have to go online forget about the app for a second, and then they will they will take care of you right there. They will. They will hook you up with a free stock and then once you create your account, they get the app on your phone and you're good. Yeah, you know one of those like Apple, Ford Sprint, any of those anyway, robin Hood. So it's a Brooklyn dot robin hood dot com and uh, you know that's your free dessert from us all right, we got more coming up right after this. All right, we're back. That was right, that was us and that was them and now we're back on news commercial and something like that something that. All right. So here's some jokes that we didn't get to during the week that I wrote for other people that he elvisly didn't do, didn't get to or whatever. So um. One of our our fellow producers on the show, Nate, when an open heart surgery and part of his surgery was he's having a valve replaced with a pig valve, and so I said, oh, did you go to an oncologist? We didn't do that. We talked about a proctology convention that it was going on in New York and I said, oh, there must have been a lot of drinking. I hear everyone was on a bender bend over the parctologist. Okay, yeah, we were talking about the Masked Singer, right, And so Garrett came in on our show and he plays soundclips from the show and he says, you know, we have B level celebrities on the mask the Singer, but in South Korea they have big name stars, right, much bigger stars, And one of them was Ryan Reynolds, who I love in Deadpool and they play a clips as well. Why these other countries? Why is North Korea getting American getting up getting better? Crison we are So then everyone corrected Elvis and said not North Korea, South Korea, and he was like, of course, not North Korea. So the my joke was, yeah, North Korea. The show is called Imprisoned Singer. We didn't get to it. Uh. Gandhi on our show did a story about how people are buying used tissues so they can blow their nose and somebody else's used tissues that was sick, so that your body can get the germs and build up in immunity, which I find nasty by the way. So I said, yeah, they're not Scott tissues. There's not tissues. We didn't get to that. How do we get to that one? I don't know. It seemed like no brainer. So those your those are your unused jokes. Uh. We stopped talking about the comedy club on our next episode that we went to and sending that stuff happened in l A. But that's the first part of our weekend journey. That was good. Are we done? No, We're not done yet because by the way we're in the other studio where Brody's behind the board and I'm standing here and I'm like, kind of Brodie's pressing all these button No, I got a couple more things, but want to get to I hate that's fucking studio. By the way, it's an igloo in here. Did you know it's called? Yeah? God, why can't they just keep the the temperature at an even know why it has to be called so the equipment doesn't go bad. I know that. But it's zero degree? It is it is extra cold. Look he sets it to sixty nine degrees. This is this is This is episode seventy, which is uh so episode sixty eight was you do me? You won an? Episode seventy was with right? Right? What's what's seventy seventies? Is sixty nine? And with the fingers? I think we're going to write it as a title. Why you I'm not gonna do as the title. I don't think we should do that. I think it's sixty nine in a finger, right, like that's what it is, right fingers. I think it's seventy two is the shocker? I think that's what that is. Man. We when are we going to leave these jokes behind behind. So I owe you. I owe you a grammar police on me. I came in third place in in the first grade spelling be in grammar school me plice police plice his wife And just like the jingle, I didn't correct you. I was trying to be nice because you put up a throwback Thursday picture on on Elvis Duran Morning Show on Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Boys on Instagram at Scary Jones, and everybody called me out for not calling you out. Why you have the caption there? Now I'm looking for it, actually my picture and read and read the caption. Where is it? The throwback throwback? The picture of us from the boys, any one of them with picture? God, they're spelled wrong at all. It's a grammar not a spelling error. There's a different Yeah, I read it. Who's in a pick truv? It's it's uh. You read what it says? I said, uh. David Brodie and I barging in on Lisa Taylor's midday shift. She was, OK, take out my name and then read it again, take out David Brodie and and just read the rest of the sense. I doesn't make sense, right, I barging in. Right, So you should have written David Brodie and me barging in, this is a picture of David Brodie in. Wouldn't all you should have said, which is what you wrote from the lens of our first studio webcam. It's me barging in. You'd say, me bar, You would say it's me. He's a picture of me? You would. You wouldn't say, here's a picture of David Brodie and I ye right. So people got mad at me on my d MS, were like, why don't you correct them? People don't don't let me let you. I can't let you slide the same those the same people that wanted you to press the jingle on me, same people, and they wanted me to point out they said, how comes scary? Does this? When you do an instant story you hold up the camera in front of your face to the perfect angle, the perfect height, and the perfect distance from your face, because then you would shove it in my face and you the angle is bad and it's too close to my face, and you have no you have no concept of anything. As long as you look good in the instant stories. My depth of perception is off. What can I say? Your depth of perception. What I'm making up? What was that word you used today on you said in the room, said something yesterday? What was that? Okay, you're talking about lamenting. You called it law mening. I'm lawmenting that. It was one of those words that are just sounded funny. I don't know lamenting one. One last story. I gotta rip you on and then I go, we gotta go. I got a doctor appoint You almost have a doctor's appointment. You were the sickest man on earth. I had physical therapy for my elbow. I told you about the surgery. That woman on the plane elbow hearts all right? So he finds out, tells me that the second day where there Saturday morning? He says, I didn't bring a charger from my phone. What I don't have a cable. I don't have a charge for my phone. So so here's an iPhone. I have an Android. I said, well, I have a cable from my iPad. I don't have the box. I just have a USB where you can plug anything into. No, I gotta have a box in my room. So he hasked the guy in the lobby, is there a Best Buy around here or some kind of electronic store or apple store. He's like, no, you're on the Sunset Strip. There's nothing here but schlock It's all like bars and schlocky places. So he's like, I think there's a place up the block over there, over there called Pinks or something like that. Pink something like that big pink, something like that, you wish dot pink, pink dot. So we walk in and it's basically a liquor store and on the right there's like a little refrigerator with like some sandwiches, some fruit and ice cream bars. It's a liquor store, but at the counter there's like a little spindle that has some cables and some like the white charges if you buy them on eBay. They're like a dollar from China. And he's looking at them and it's all like knockoff shit, So like nine bucks, he can't charge his phone, like you know what, you've heard of the problem in luck I know, but so scary. It's like, excuse me, you can I can ask you a question, you guys like, I'll try to answer it to my second day here. Oh, congratulations on your new job, thanks man um scarce, Uh, which of these are better? It's like, I don't know. Um uh, none of these are Apple, right, Guys like, no man's liquor Apple? Okay, uh, do you have a fast charger? If I wanted for people who have iPhones, we have power chargers. Now. I figured if i'm if I have a million of these cheap ass fucking chargers at home in my drawer that I forgot. So I figured, if I'm going to buy a charger, I wanted to be a power charger because I need a new one of those. I want to spend the money and I want to buy a goddamn power charger. That's like buying a lobster dinner at a at a drive through McDonald's, no offense to McDonald's. You have to know where you're shopping. You're in a liquor store. You're asking for a power max supercharger. Why don't you ask him for I was charging pad while you're at it, and maybe an iPad pro. You're in a liquor store. Dan Scary starts asking the guy for like, oh, what do you charge for the McCallen twelve year old whiskey and the Johnny Walker blue And the guy's like, I don't know, gets at the steps, tool goes up to the top top shelf. I can't drink. I wasn't gonna drink. It made the guy climb the ladder to get all the expensive liquor. You prick. I was just curious and the guys like three You're like, oh, I'm like, how much in a quarter convenience store? Is the McAllen a teen? So? But but the guy got up on the ladder because he's not gonna say no to you. But I feel bad because there was no way in hell I was gonna buy it. And it wasn't even a real liquor store. It was like like it was like a grocery store liquor. It was just curious. Can I be curious? Look, if the guy goes I don't know three undred, you go cool, you made the guy climb the ladder. Then he goes up the ladder, gets to McCallen, comes down, he looks at the box, he finds out, and you're like, oh cool, what about the Johnny Walker. Well, the guy goes back up the ladder. He comes back. It's the Johnny Walker. Blow tells me, probably you have l bed because we have some people that there's a couple of people gotta talk and then we gotta get and then we gotta get it. Well, we want to welcome new listeners to the fault and this is this is cool because this is resulting. And I got, I got, I got I, I got a free dis rep stare for next week. Reminded that sounds like it's time welcome. You've got mail. We always welcome your emails at the Brooklyn Boys Podcast at gmail dot com. This is from Kevin Koslowski. Hey, guys, I just started listening to you after I read your AM New York article. You were nice AM New York, a great New York newspaper and a great website. I love AM N why I loved the Hyundai story, especially the part about the vehicle identification number number. I wanted to get your opinion on something I used to be uh. I used to use broker A as a broker. They sent me an email that if I take a survey, they'll send me a ten dollar Amazon code. I'm not a survey person because I over think things, but for the ten dollars, I'll give it a try. One of the first questions had a choice preferred not to answer because I overthink and could have chose more than one of the opinions I picked chosen preferred not to answer. That kicked me out of the survey and said I'm not eligible, son of a bitch. I tried taking it again, I was blocked. I was so outraged I transferred all the money out of the account to start using brokerapy. I can't decide if it's worth it to go through the effort to opening a new account, learning a new software just because of the fucking survey. Consider them equal in terms of quality and fees. The only reason to switch would be because of the survey and the ten dollars. It probably took just as much time to write this email as it would to make the change. But I want to know what the broken boys would do in this situation. Find a third company brokeracy? Oh is that your answer? And I can't put up with that. They're gonna screw up your transactions. And if they can't do that, and they out. Also we got Mason Smith's reaction to us losing the Heart podcast Awards Slice for Life, Fuck you Ape seventy seven, Agnes, and also fuck you to Jake. Do you know what I'm gonna be this weekend? Bro boys,
Speaker 1: Britian. I'm a thirty one year old dad who loves chocolate milk. Yes, that Jake on our Jake on the Big Show. Our producers like that you shouldn't be drinking chocolate milk over the age of twelve. Fuck you, Jake, Yes, and fuck you for stealing grape soda. Dave Brody, it wasn't a say in the West Coast, Central Oregon or Oregon Crooked Ranch to be exact. Nice population five thousand. I listened to The Big Show, Brooklyn Boys, the fifteen Minute Morning Show, and just for Brody, I'll start this walkers and talkers thing. You got good. Yes, you both are amazing, and keep it up. You should have one best comedic podcast hashtag rob hashtag bullshit. Give it another year, let us slices have another chance to hold. We get nominated to blow you the fuck up Slice for Life and then Desiree Deal on a simil Now I'm sorry. Desire is a free dessert story which we'll get to next week.
