Speaker 1: Start up, dot Up, start Up, Brooklyn Boys, start Up, Brooklyn Boys, start dat Up. They're making noise data dot up. Episode two thirty six. It's the Brooklyn Boys podcast. Yeah, that's us, that's prody. I'm scary. I'm scary. That's prody. Yeah, in no special order today. Yeah, turning over a new leaf. We're not gonna all give about it today. Not today. Well, I mean there's other days that we argue about it, but yeah, but not today. Now, why should we? We're friends. We're friends till the very end. Yeah, maybe we'll see. Yeah. You think we're gonna be friends in about twenty years from now? Thirty years? No, no, no, why do you Why do you say so? I think um absence makes the friendship grow less fonder. Really, you know that I've been friends with my Brooklyn friends, some of them since the first grade, kindergarten. I have one kindergarten friend, one first grade friend, and the large majority of my Brooklyn friends, uh, probably seventh grade after that. So wow, I was the last When was the last time you hung out with them? About five days ago when I went to Nashville. Yes, and that's probably why you're still friends today. Yeah, it's crazy because some people, when I tell them that, they say, no, you know who, that's crazy. Man. I I'm lucky. I have friends from college or you know, I friend lucky. I have friends that I could retain, you know, from five years ago. But some of my best friends and closest friends have been friends with for us since I was twelve. Yeah. So, uh, these guys that you're friends with since you're twelve, and I know you went to Tennessee to see Bald Frank Granni Tennessee, Tennessee, hung out with Justin timber Lake. You can talk about that later. Um, you and I still have not gotten together since uh September. So that's why I say, twenty years from now, when it's twenty years since the the meet up, we'll be like, oh, it's been twenty years since to meet up, so and that will have been the last time we hung out. That's what I'm saying so far, that's what we're trending. If I extrapolated out zero times, you know, twenty years, still zero. If we hung out once, then I could say, oh, once every two months we see to you. But I can't extrapolate zero. I'm kind of upset. That we don't get to hang out as much. In fact, my wife said to me, what's today? We're recording this on My wife said to me on Saturday because we were hanging out at Yankee Stadium. I'll give you details about that later, I promise. She said, uh, yeah, it has been a while since she's so Scary. Look, he's very busy, So if it helps, why don't the four of us go to dinner? So I'm putting that out there. So then I said, Then I said, I don't know if Scary's gonna want to give up in a lone time meal with his girlfriend to go out with us. Well, but you get limited time with her because you only see her on the weekends, so I don't I don't necessarily want to step on that. I mean, she came to Nashville with me this weekend, so we was she was there, but she's but she jells with my Brooklyn friends because she's always around them. So I do She tells with me, I'm tight with Robin and Melissa and Robin get along. So I'm just throwing it out there. What can we do? I mean, we we are polar opposites when it comes to no not not that not the case at all types of restaurants. Well, actually we have common ground. Yes, we do Italian, steak Chinese, we have plenty. We don't have to buy you a steak dinner on on that night. No, No, that won't not count. That won't count. No, alright, no, all right, we gotta figure something that. We gotta figure it out. We got a lot of a lot of traveling that I'm gonna be doing and that you're gonna be doing right before the holidays as we roll into them, right, so um, let's figure something out. I guess I have nothing planned to Darren is in town, and I owe him at dinner now this week a date alright, so maybe next month, I guess maybe, I mean for you, you go, you're going with tol Darren this week. Go next week apparently, and you're going to You're going to Florida again. So maybe January we'll fig well, you know what you do. We could plan now for next September and make it a one year anniversary anniversary of the of the last time we should do we should we do more meet ups? Should we do another meet up at some point? Again? So you want to plan a major sales promotional. Brooklyn boys meet up just as an excuse for us to get together. Exactly. If they're paying us to get together, then you'll get together. I don't want to see you unless I'm getting paid. That's not true. Come on, Oh my god. But this has been a lot going on. So I mean no, I know absolutely. You know. A very funny thing happened on the it um on the way back from the airport the other day, and um I tweeted it out there had a lot of response. It's it's the airport podcast again, ladies and gentlemen. Is well, it's funny things happened at the airport. I'm sitting there with my girlfriend in Nashville having breakfast, and all of a sudden, they make this announcement. Uh, yes, we found a hearing aid at Gate seventeen and it's here at the customer service desk. Please come to pick up your hearing aid at the customer service desk. Did they yell it? Well, well, that's the thing. The poor bastard who lost the hearing aid, it's probably not going to hear that announcement, That's what I'm saying. So so I'm sitting there and I'm like, that's really funny, and I said it to the waiter out loud. I'm like, you believe this. They're making an announcement they found the lost hearing aid at the gate, and then they're they're giving instructions on it's a mood point at that point. Just leave it where you found it. Hopefully the person can back for it. I guess the hope is that they're traveling with someone who heard it, I guess, or maybe the person with the hearing aid asked somebody for help and they'll hear it. But yeah, it's like there's a sign I think it's on on Interstate eighty four going north into Connecticut and and it says, um, there's a huge sign the exit on eighty four or six eighty four it says off ramp here Institute for the Blind. So that's not a joke. That's that's truck. You have to hope they're not driving, or somebody works there, or they're going to visit. Imagine a blind person isn't driving, but you'd hope I don't think. Yeah, so yeah, right, okay, but this is different. I mean, so so I write this, so I I posted it on on my Instagram story. I mean I wrote it on Twitter. Hey, they made this announcement at the airport lost the hearing AID What are the odds they actually heard the announcement just like that. The way that I reported this story, there's no spin on it other than me asking that very innocent and honest question. Well, David Brodie, the people that we're hearing aids, they wrote to me, they d m to me. They're like, that's not funny, scary, that's not funny. You're you're being You're being insensitive. That was insensitive that you wrote that. What come on? Well, how is it insensitive to point out that people who are hard of hearing might not hear something. That's what I'm saying, This world is going to ship? Can we not say that people who have a heart of hearing we have to say they hear perfectly? Well, well, that's what I'm saying. Why are people are my ship for that? Now? I understand that people are hearing aids. Some of them can hear, they just needed amplified. But I'm not gonna read too much into it. You right, but what can you say? What can't you say anymore? I'm done with that. You know you know that. I honestly believe in five to ten years from now, maybe ten, I don't know, We're not gonna have comedians anymore. I think comedians will be obsolete. There'll be a thing of the past. I really do, I really do, because there's there are a lot of comedians like you're going to see Jerry Seinfeld. I'm gonna see him on Friday night at the Beacon. I'm envious about. He doesn't offend anyone. He just his funny shit, right. So I believe we will have comedians like him, and I believe even comedians who pushed the envelope, like let's say Dave Chappelle, who uh had got mixed reviews from his SNL performance. I thought he was fucking brilliant. I loved him. I loved him. He was hilarious. And anybody who who and anybody who had something to say, I think there are snowflake I do you know? He you know, I just whatever, Listen, I I would say to you, as a non Jew that you are. You might have a different perception of what he said. Now me being a Jew, he said was fantastic, you are Jewish. And he made some he made some Jewish cost. What he didn't do in my opinion, and and well, he didn't do He didn't do impressions or slither into the no no, no, no, no no, that's below board. You know, he didn't he didn't make He was insulting Kanye and Kyrie about what they've done recently. But watch it, slices, Go watch it and put your own opinion. But just my quick opinion without over analyzing it, is he made fun of Kanye and then sort of made fun of the trope that Hollywood is is has a lot of Jews working there. However, but that's true, that's factual fact. Hold on, But he also but that's not a bad thing. He followed it up by saying, look, there's a lot of black people live in Ferguson, Missouri. That's also a fact. That means nothing. In other words, it's like saying there's a lot of black people in the NBA. You're not saying a bad thing or a good thing. You're just stating the stating a fact. What Kanye said was that Jews in the media control the media and and keep people from speaking. And you know, you gotta know that's simply saying that the demographic of a profession is one way or another. It's not a negative unless you're sensitive and you're worried that people will take it the wrong way, in which case you're like, he shouldn't have said that. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying what he pointed out was he was factual stuff. Well, I just hit a button. I mean whatever. Whatever bottle of water rolled onto my keyboard. That's a sign, a sign what he said, what he said, he made Joe, that leaned into facts. That's all anyway. I believe that some people, some people on people use upset it that yeah, I don't understand why. Um I don't get it. Well, I can explain to them why they're upset, and I'll explain to you off of air, but I don't have to get into a whole. But your point is well taken that it's difficult to do anything anything, difficult to do comedy. Listen, it's it's difficult to do phone taps, you and I, you and I used to do. We've I think we've talked about this, and I'm sorry slices if we have, but we we used to do accents when we did phone taps. Right. Uh, some of them are allowed and some of them aren't. And we used to push the envelope. Now you can't join right, and I can do. I can't do a Russian accent, even though my grandparents are Russian, because Russians might be offended by my accents. We can't lean into stereotypes. But I can do a British accent. But we can't anyway. It's just it's all very It's that's it. So it's becoming more difficult. That's why I think in ten years comedians will be obsolete. Well, then that'll be a good time for us to go out. Maybe then we can talk about it. We should get together. There's been no comics anymore for ten years, and we should talk about it then, Boys podcast, do you want to talk about pizza or bagels and not pizza bagels, pizza or bagels, real bagels or bagels. Okay? Did did I send you the sound? I sent you? That sound makes me so angry? Do you have the sound? We'll play the sound that sound here? Okay, So let me explain. There's a guy on TikTok. I believe his sole purpose is to piss off people in other cities. So Ever, every video he does, like last week he did one's he's he's standing in Disneyland in California, and he says, Disneyland is the far superior amusement park to disney World. You know, debate me on it. Well, I've been to both. There's no comparison. Disneyland is like the size of a bathroom at disney World. It doesn't compare. You didn't send me the sound. By the way, I don't have it. I'm looking for it. Oh he's talking about He goes, I'll find it. I'll find it anyway. I'll talk. Let me find it now because you suck um and I have to go cause the bagles well, you just ruined it. See that's a Philadelphia thing. Um Philadelphia and say say bagel, which I don't. I don't understand because even if you spelled it B A G, that's bag which would be bagel but not baggle. I don't get it. But they say shopping back. But when you do A followed by G and E, it's big. It is absolutely yeah. But I also think that he did that as you were saying, to piss people off pizza. He doesn't, but but he mispronounced bagel on purpose. No, he would get a response. Maybe. I think that's the whole stick. I think his stick is to piss people off and get people upset, which is what we're doing now. Well, I'm upset because he said that they were in the best are in Los Angeles or in California. Yeah, that's crack, will say you. As you know from my visit to Montreal, they give New York bagels a run for their money. They know what, you know what. You have no opinion, you have no room, You have no room to criticize. Hey, scary, Yeah, who has better pizza? New Yorker, Montana? Obviously New York. Have you been to Montana? No? But we shut the funk up then? No, let me say this, I've never been, You've never been. I just proved you wrong. There could be could be a pizzai in Montana. Really that does pizza better than in New York. You should have a bat take into your head. There could be. We don't know if it's out there or not. It works both ways. Uh huh. You get to found the baggel guy. Yeah, I found hold on this at I found the guy hold on. I'm not gonna like it's gott held on, It's got a bunch of him. Here hold on, he said, cheese, Here we go, Here, here we go. Here we gonna Okay, He's just a prick. He's an assholet. He's like those people on TikTok that start putting together these crazy concoctions for recipes because they just want to get some hits and they want to go viral. But they're not really putting any together. In past tiktoks, including one about one of the most popular bags, bagels, No, I'm not gonna do it anyway. This guy every video he's pissing people off. But who has better pizza? L A has better pizza uh than Chicago? Yeah him. We had a guest recently on the Morning Show who fell for one of the TikTok pranks, and they were saying, hey, they said, do you know what cast means? Did you know I just learned today? Cast means uh, I mean you mean break a leg, break a leg? Yeah, yeah, break a yeah. Do you know break a leg means break a leg means you're gonna end up in the cast and the cast of the show, right right, and and at least tell me. You guys corrected him. Nobody had the heart to correct him, even though even though Elvis knew, we'll call him out. Who was it? Uh, don't worry about it. It was recent though, and it was on the air. It was a Morocca. It was not Morocca. No, I can just look and see who's been on this Morocca. It was before Morocca. I'll go if I'm gonna out them right now, why don't you just out them? No, go ahead, because I forgot. But it wasn't Morocca. You didn't forget. No, it wasn't. You didn't forget your So why did they come up in conversations? I came up? Hold on, now you're gonna make me look son of a bitch. Who did we have on? I'm looking through what's today's date? Oh my god? Well I'll tell you who. It was over street. No, wasn't. It was before. I wasn't there for quarter or Restreet. I was out for that day. Yeah, I was in I was in Nashville. Was it Joe KOI? It was jo It was comedian? Was comedian JOKOI? Yeah? All right, but that's okay. We but you know what was after Morocca. It was after Okay, yeah, I wasn't there for uh for oh my god. Hey, speaking of baggles, I have a list bagel um. Google put out a list of the most the most on mispronounced words um in America. Yep, I'm gonna tell you the word, and I'm gonna spell it, and you tell me how it's pronounced. P h o. Okay, that should be fun or foe. I think it's fun. D o g e c o I n doge coin doge a doge coin, um g n o c c h I NOOKI right w O r c e s t e r s h I r e. It's the sauce. Yeah, of course it's it's it's worse this year. It's Worcester shear Worcester ar. Sorry, so you got it wrong too, um n g u y e n nine no ng what n g you n y e n And I think didn't we have en? I don't know. Okay, I'm gonna look that up because I forgot. I think it's Neguleian. But really, which is why it's hold on, here we go. I'm gonna play this rune mm hmm. Okay, now we are so prepared today? What's that we are so prepared on this podcast? What do you do when I can't hear ship? Hold on now? But how do you go about pronouncing it? Okay? New end? Okay? Uh? Charcuterie is on the list. Oh, Macron is on the list. Giro or euro is on the list. And I'm gonna give you the number one most mispronounced word in America? What is it? A c ai? Everybody says a ki berry, but ten most? How to pronounce these words? On Google? I got a question for people that are living in the South or the Midwest, or the states that or the state that after this following following UM tax. I found this on every check in Tennessee. Where I was in Nashville, they had the sales tax and under that was the healthy hospitality tax. WHOA, what the fund is that healthy? That's the fee for keeping you safe during the pandemic? Yeah, did you notice that? Take a look at left and right. Pandemic is pretty much over right. Time to remove that fucking tax. Well, if they are spending any money on UM, well they would have already spent unless they're still paying off if they put up plexiglass between the booths or if they bought UM equipment or air filters, that they still paying it off. That's possible. My dentist was putting a twenty dollar addigital fee on every visit. It's it's time, it's time talk, I told, I told him, you know, we took off the masks, you brought the plexiglass fucking things down. Take the tax off, right this thing? I asked my dentist, why still charging me twenty Well, because for the infrared and the A filtration system and everything else he had to buy legally to stay in business. He's still paying that off. It was many, many, many, many thousands of dollars. Okay, well, how do you how do you figure this one, David Brodie? Because this one got me really piste and it made me scream for free dessert. Check into the hotel museum hotel not a sponsor and never will be after this. This rave review coming up, which is supposed to be like a four star hotel, pay a lot of money for it to be there. Very paid a lot of money, a lot, I'm sure you did. Okay, top dollar. Walk in, we get to the front desk, check in, they said, Oh and by the way, just you know, we don't have um, we don't do daily housekeeping service to to uh to do the beds and clean the rooms and stuff like that. So if you'd like some towels, just called down and you're staying for four days, so we can do we can you can schedule a cleaning with us. Oh, thanks, so you could do one cleaning over the four days. So I'm like, all right. So a day goes by and then I go to the front desk and I try and go sign up for my cleaning, and they're like, oh no, we're already fully committed for the day. Sorry, we can't do housekeeping in your room. And by the way, we see a housekeeping that means to do the bed and you know, re redo all the towels and everything like that, and you know whatever is, you know, empty the garbage pails. Great, okay, you're full. Check back with us tomorrow morning. So I check back within the next day and then I scheduled myself for the next day for cleaning. All right, So I leave that morning and I say, hey, just want to make sure I'm on the list for today. Am I gonna get my housekeeping? Yeah, you're gonna be getting at okay, no problem, alright, the room were going for brunch. See we're going to brunch. You can tell them to clean. Four oh six, all right, great, show up the brunch, hang out two o'clock. Come back. The room is not done yet, Like, all right, don't worry. I'm just gonna change shower whatever what I'm going back out now. It's like quarter after three, walking back out again, Like, hey, just a reminder. I was on the list for today. Today's my day, my one day. I got my housekeeping. Can I you know, can we just you know, get that done. They're like, oh, yes, you're on the list, and we will call them. We don't know where there was a breakdown of communication. Yep. I'm like, yep, all right, well I'm out of the room again. Clean five oh seven. Whatever the room number was. I forget whatever they have in my name. I went to four oh six and now you're in four us seven. So then I get back. Now it's it's a quarter after six, going to go back change figure. I'm gonna take a shower. It's gonna be great. Have those fresh, fresh sheets and you know, fresh towels and everything, and and they'll be nice sheets because it's a nice hotel. It's a beautiful hotel. Again, dude, nothing nothing, No, they hadn't come by what I'd like going. You go to Motel six, they clean your room every day. I don't understand. And and and as I was leaving the room that afternoon, I opened the door and then the cart was out there and they were doing the room next to mine, and I smiled at him like, look, I'm leaving. Yeah, I'm leaving. And I point to the door and I'm I walk away anyway. So now I'm fit to be tired. I'm so angry because now now I mean, I get back at night and I don't know, sorry to the midnight manager who had to hear the earful because I was feeling it. I was on one. I was definitely a little drunk. And we're coming back from dinner and I'm like, look, and I got the guy and he was all by himself in the lobby and I said, look, I said, this is bullshit. I'm like, you're saying that this is COVID. You guys are under COVID protocol and that's why you can't do the housekeeping thing. I said, all this is is a cover for the fact that you guys don't have enough staff for whatever reason. I understand times are tough, people don't want to work. Maybe that's not my problem. You guys are understaffed, clearly, but you're filling the rooms with people, are making your revenue. You're telling me that you can't do housekeeping because of the quote COVID protocol that they keep hiding under the guys of COVID. Still it's through two and a half years later, still hiding under the guys of COVID, Brodie and and and even there was even an outdated memo in the room from the general manager of this hotel saying that we provide s you know, sanitization and the best in the h vactor like I don't need to see all this ship Who cares at this point this was something to play keep me during the pandemic, to make me feel safe. This is no longer the case anymore. Get your outdated fucking memos off the nightstand. And you certainly didn't put wet wipes or hand sanitizer anywhere. That's been gone from the rooms, although it says it on the paper that you're providing that too. I was so fucking pissed. And I said, guys, I said, you're gonna what are you gonna do for me? I said, you guys are an expensive hotel with a very hefty price tag. I put myself on this list. What are you doing for me? And the guy looked, he goes, I understand, I said, and don't tell me covid. I said, stop it. Enough with that. You're pretending now and you guys are profiting off of this. And I gave a piece of my mind. I gave him a little Brooklyn and he sat there and he looked at the computer and he started, he goes, alright, free content at the breakfast. Sir, uh, We're gonna take three hundred dollars off your room rate for tonight. Yes, that's what I'm talking about. Yes, now, he said, enough off, And I still had at pay. But it was you know how much it was special that night for me. But yeah, but but I'll say this this, you know, and you've got to say something to people. You've got it. You've got to. And and Robin at first was like should you shouldn't you? She was fit to be tied to I'm like, no, you know what oh, did you tire up? I said, no, we're gonna get our free dessert. Fuck that. I said, what would Brodie do? I did say that at one point, And what would Brodie do? Because he'd go to be at the front desk. I said exactly, and I went and did it. I got my free dessert. Good for you, But stop it. But if you're listening to this, stop it with. We're under COVID protocol, so we have to charge these extra taxes or we're you know, you have to pay extra for this, or you don't get this service because of no. Everything should go back to normal. Now give me my service back. I check into a hotel for four nights, I should get three to four servicings off my room. And that's not me being boogie. That's me being basic. That's that's the bare minimum. Am I wrong? Well, you were being basic in a bougie hotel. I mean you're not getting off the hook on on the bougie thing. You're still boogie. You went to a hotel that's too boogie to clean your room every day? Am I right? It's funked up, But now it doesn't matter. Dude, Super eight Howard Johnson's Ramata, Hilton or the fucking st Regis. It doesn't matter. Bring the service back, Bring back the staff, bring back the people to clean the rooms and do what they are supposed to do. Why are we getting less than? And speaking of bringing the service back? When we come back from break, you need to tell us about bringing sexy back. You hanging out with Justin timber Lake. I want to hear about that. So what is the deal? I show your video on Instagram. You were at some fancy schmancy, uh secret bunker of a bar in a basement underground and Justin timber Lake was a few it away. How did that happen? So the thing about Nashville is everybody's going to the honky talk bars. That everybody's going to those bars. There's a bunch of bars within a four block radius on Broadway, which is the main street. It's their Times Square and this bar after bar off the bar three floors with a rooftop and a band playing all day all night on each level. And that's basically what most people see of Nashville. Okay, Now, yes, Jason al Dean, Dirk's Bentley and kid Rock and uh Luke Brian, they all have bars there. They all their own bar with their name on it. It's like Dirk Bentley's Blank so and they're known to show up at their bars and play. In fact, even the kid Rocks showed up at his bar. He was told that, you know people. But the problem is with this entire thing is there's thousands of thousands of people all concentrated on those three to four blocks and those country bar ours. Just out of the outskirts of that, there's a bar that many people don't realize that is bougie. It's it's the two Slash, Sadel's Slash whatever, a lot of of of of of Nashville, and it's called the twelve thirty Club, and it is it is a quote honky tonk bar, but it's very it's upscale. You walk in and you know they're serving elevated cocktails and drinks. But it's also amongst all these bars on Broadway that are just as like beers, shot and shots and you we've all seen um Coyote ugly most of the bars of that. And then there's this twelve thirty Club. The twelve thirty Club, most people don't realize, is owned half owned by Justin Timberlake and a gentleman by the name of Sam Fox, who is a restaurant tour out in Arizona, owns hundreds of restaurants and bars. Is this t M I how did you meet Justin Timberlake? Hold on? Hold on? So Sam Fox his partners with Justin timber Lake in the twelve thirty Club. We got wind that on this given night they were doing the v I P the v I P opening grand opening, friends and family of of Sam Fox's new spot called Pushing Daisies, which is in the basement of the twelve thirty Club, which, as you remember, as I said, halphoned by Justin Timberlake. So don't you think that JT is going to pay his boy Sam visit to his new venue, which happens to also be housed in a bar that he owns. Of course, all bets were on the fact that he was going to be there. And my favorite part is because all the attention was concentrated on all the bars, all the other of the bars with a thousands and throngs of people were going and small shing in to try and get into the Jason Al Dean Bar and waiting online to see kid rock. Well, all that was going on right there in the shadows was this mainstream bar that was opening up that didn't fit. It's around, it's a square peg in a round hall because again it's a little upscale. It's a little bit of a club and it's a little bit of a bottles and models and you know whatever. So so so we went that route and we made the right decision. There was not a line of people trying to get in. There was no one trying to barge down the door. It was almost like this quiet little party that was happening right in the shadows of Nashville. But it was in a in a big you know again, right just right under the but it's under everyone's nose because everyone had to walk by it. But nobody goes in. Not as many people go in because when you go to Nashville, you expect the beer and shots and the coyote ugly scene and that's that. This was not that. So we win. So yeah, so we were hanging out. So then justin Timberlake just walks out, No, he was there, Okay, I didn't God go up to him. You didn't go up to him. You didn't. I'm scaring he was with his people. I'm not gonna do that. Your people. You know what your people you know? But who am I people? You tell him who you worked for. He would be like, hey, what's going on? He was you know, I didn't want to get you know, again, this was a small, low key event friends and family. Wasn't your friends your family. You could have walked up to him, like, man, let him have his his let him have his party. So I didn't. Yeah, no, I didn't let him know. I didn't do it. I didn't go up. I didn't approach, you know, I feel like you could have approached. Well. The next day, I was already on a plane back and right upstairs at the twelve thirty club, who was smashing and sync covers. Chris Kirkpatrick was on stage with his guitarist and they were singing Bye Bye bye. And my friends were texting me like why did you have to take the early flight? Were sitting here watching Chris Kirkpatrick? So like two fifths and SINC was in this were pretty much in the same space within a twelve hour period. Who I was waiting for Lance Bass to just walk in, you know, you know, justin told Chris not to show up the first night. Well, why do you say that, because they don't. They're not They're not Boat the Boys anymore. Well, dude, he Chris was playing in his club. I heard that Justin Timberlake and Chris Kirkpatrick have not gotten together or seen each other since the Brooklyn Boys meet up. That's what I heard. Anyway, that was the Justin Timberlake story. I was. I wish I had something more for you, but we I didn't have any physically. I believe you didn't approach him. I cannot believe him. He was with people. It's a little intimidating. He's in his element, he's you know. And I didn't see um. I didn't see his wife. He was with his boy Trace, I think, and some other people looked if his wife as you would have gone up to her, right, No, I don't think. I think in that case I would. I would let them let them be. I really wouldn't. Yeah, no, no, No, he's had to promote. Man. He would have liked to have seen you, because then you would have been like, yo, man, I'll promote. I'll talk about this on my podcast. I absolutely would have eaten that ship up. Well, he got that for free, just now without me, And you didn't even get a picture. You got you got distant video. You're not even in the video? Was it well? Because well, I'll say this. You know I made you fail right now? The slices like slices. Put your right hand over your right eye and part of your forehead and just go, oh my god, scary, blew it, blew it. Would you have gone out to him? Obviously? Obviously he knows who I am. I sold his French toast I'm the guy Scotty and I and Elvis we sold his French toast Man. I don't know. I don't know. He knows who the hell I am. I took two pictures with him. They'll be like, oh yeah, we took a picture together fifteen years ago. I'm bashful. I don't know. You would have gone off to anybody. If it was Brittany, would you have gone to her? She wouldn't have known you were there. I wouldn't have mattered. I don't know. It's just a little difficult these days, you know. They don't want to be approached. He's past COVID, He's fine, let's let's let's take a break. I never got to the bagel thing or the pizza thing. I wanted to talk about. I'll do both of those. If that's okay, you can do you can do both. You back to back bullshit? Maybe and I got I got oh, I got sound, we got uh talkbacks, I got a scamboni I want to talk about. And an old lady recommending a TV show it's The Boys Podcast. Oh, I don't want to Who are you taking advice from for watching TV? You have as someone who who actually gave you advice on on a TV show. This is the last thing I have from our cruise trip. So I'm on a bus ride. I'm on a bus ride from where we docked in England to Stonehenge. I want to see Stonehenge. So there's an old lady across the aisle telling her other old lady friend on the way to Stonehenge about a TV show she really likes that's about Stonehenge and time travel. So she says, I'm watching this great show. You know we're going to Stonehenge. I'm watching the show right now. It's about Stonehenge and time travel. And the woman says, Oh, that sounds that sounds great. What show is it? She's I'm not sure the name. The woman says, well, what channel is it on? I'm not sure what channel? Well is it a streaming service? I'm not sure. Also, it may not be about Stonehenge, but it's definitely about rocks. You should watch it Nowrman goes, um, okay, she's so, do we a favor. I'll give you my number. You'll call me and tell me how you like the show. What show is she talking about? It's a show about rocks. She doesn't know the name of the show, doesn't know what channel it's on, doesn't know if it's streaming on any service. She loves it. It may or may not be about stone Ende, which is the only reason she brought it up, because we're going to stone Ennge and Uh, yeah, it's about rocks or something. You love it. This is a conversation right there. Except I was in a restaurant a couple of weeks ago and we were sitting next to a table with two old people and the guy says to the other guy. He says, uh, hey, Mark, I'm watching this great show on Netflix. And Mark says, what show? I don't know, but it stars that guy from he was on Law and Order a couple of times. Do you know how many actors are on Law and Order a couple of times? And it's twenty five year history or whatever? You know? So Marks like, can you can you give me a little more about it? Like, uh, it's his show, Yeah, it's a show, he says, the guy for it was I even know from Law and Order? What does he look like? You know, he's a white guy. He's got h brown hair. You know the guy, that guy, the guy he's like Mark, Come on, you know the guy he's on He he was on a couple of times. He was a cop and then he was a bad guy. You know, he's got a show on Netflix. It's really good. So you couldn't been more nondescript with this, by the way, So this is what I'm saying. If you're gonna recommend something, know what the hell you're talking about, and don't listen to all people give you a TV show recommendation because they don't even know where to find it or what it's called or who's in it. All Right, you have a rule. What's your rule about sushi on days of the week? What's your rule? Don't do sushi on a Sunday or Monday, earlier in the week. I feel like the best days for sushi are later in the week when it's moving quicker and they get their fresh catch in the day. Like I feel like there are no sushi deliveries on a Sunday, so you're eating so on Sunday, you're definitely eating at least Saturday sushi. But this is just me in my own head. And Monday Monday, perhaps perhaps you're you're, you're you know that fresh sushi, maybe you know, But I also feel like the middle of the week, but it all depends. Some of these places crush it and they're busy seven days a week, so that theory goes out the window. Theory on pizza now, if you if I can't speak for every city in America, but in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut area, a lot of pizza places, I don't know. Starting around twenty years ago, they started pre pre selling their pizza, pre making their pizza, so you would go in and they'd be like a case with three or four pizzas. So if you wanted like, oh, there's a there's a sausage pie, a chicken pie, and broccoli pie, whatever, you just point in the case and they reheat it, which is not like getting fresh pizza, but it was a way of getting a pizza with topping a little faster. Okay. Then pizza places started doing like combo pies where they would make a pie with two slices with broccoli, two slices with chicken, too, slice with sausage. My problem with that is they never cut it right, and there's always broccoli on my chicken slice. That's not my problem. If you go in at four o'clock in the afternoon and the case is full of pizzas, you assume they made them all that day, and they've been sitting there a couple hours more than likely to sitting there six hours after six, like seven o'clock, don't order the pizza in the case. It's been there since noon at least, so it's unrefrigerated pizza. They take it so it comes out everything's dried out, and it never tastes the same. Here's my here's my my warning those slices. If you walk into a pizza place that opens at noon and the case is full of half pizzas, thirds of pizzas, a couple of slices have you even seen that before. Yes this happened to me on Friday. I was dying for a slice of pizza. I went into one of the places I like in the area. So you were you're about to say, is that's from yesterday? That's yesterday fucking pizza. You can't eat. You can't eat the premate pizza that looks like it's been there a few hours when they opened at noon. And you walk into twelve oh five, That is yesterday's pizza. That not only is from yesterday, but maybe from yesterday at noon when they made it. It's now it could be twenty four hour old pizza that sat out all day to day before. You may be able to taste that, though, I mean well, because they probably put it in the refrigerator, uh the day before, or and they just took it out so you're eating. Look, it's one thing if you order a pizza in your house and you don't finish that, you put in the fridge, eat it the next day. But that pizza was sitting out all day yesterday because nobody bought that broccoli slice, the two pepperoni slices, the three meatball slices. They didn't just take that out of the oven and it looks like shit already. That's that's that's day old pizza. That's that's a that's that's spizza. Is what that is pizza? Different pizza. It's not Sha pizza. It's not Shi pizza. It's s H pizza. It's s H bagel spagel because somebody sent me a picture of a she bagel which had an eye in it. But that's not it's pizza and spagel. It's a ship bagel. This was ship pizza and it made me sad scary because I really wanted the the grand the grandpa slice that had meatball on it. It was a grandma slice with meat ball. They called it a grandpa slice, but I knew, I knew, I knew it was as old as Grandpa at that point. So that's my warning. That's my warning. My other warning. You go to the beach, scary. You like the beach. Let's go to the beach each bag to get away. Do you ever go to the beach and three days later you're finding sand everywhere. There's still sand between two of your toes. Even though you showered, there's sand, and you sneak, you don't find sand days later in my belly button, you know, like in your car, sand in my body, though not in your body, but like you find sand in the kitchen because you had something. You had a sandwich and you unloaded the cab. The sand in my bag, my backpack, and so you have this sand sand, right and if you move something in the kitchen like this sand, you're like, what the funk where the sand comes? Right now, I'm going to officially say the poppy seed is the sand of the land, because if you have a poppy bagel, sand of the land. If you have a poppy bagel or everything bagel, you will find poppy seeds under your toaster, under your dish rack, under your jar vitamins you keep on the counter. Two weeks later, you will find you swore you cut it over the sink, you washed all the extra ones down the drain. You will find fucking poppy seeds on the floor under the cabinet lip. Like, oh, you go down and pick something up, but look under the counter's poppy seeds. Poppy seeds. I found poppy seeds on one of my dogs three days later that must have gone flying and landed on his back. It's like glitter cards at Christmas. You never get You're still it's the third week of February and you're still fucking seeing glitter everywhere, And like, how did I get glitter on my hands? Or why is it glitter on my fucking counter? Or what's going on? Why am I glitting glitter on the highway? Why am I eating a bagel with poppy seeds and glitter? Yeah, glitter on You don't get glitter on the high wind of the highway. But really, yeah, I know that's it's hard to get every seed. Those things are all over the place. Yeah yeah, well yeah, well poppy and then I find it in my tea a couple of days later. Yeah, well, and you don't even eat a poppy bagel. That's the weird part. Yes, I have a real problem with poppy bagels because if I switched to sesame, I had to switch to sesame the last couple of times I went, you don't have that problem with sessame. No, they're bigger, you like you hear them hit the counter. And because they're bigger, the average bagel may have what like fifties sixties sesames. The poppy bagel hundreds hundreds, hundreds of There is no way to eat a poppy bagel. You can't cut it without getting them everywhere. I cut it, eat the sink. I lowered it to almost the drain. I cut it slowly so that but no, as soon as you move the knife, they go flying, flying, so funk poppy see bagels. That's my point today. If you learn nothing else bagels, you are you are out of control. Um. Hey, a big shout out to my girlfriend Robin who he saved my my ass. We were doing our our finger. Oh she stuffed your ass. Yeah, getting weird with Bobby Flay. Bobby Flay came in waiting a way. Wait wait, your girlfriend stuffed your ass with Bobby Flay? Is everyone else catching this slice to deal with me? We're doing that Thanksgiving stuff off where we all made stuffings, and then Bobby Flake came into taste and Judge and my girlfriend I thought made a home run of a chili, a Calabrian chili chiso stuffing. Now what idiot is not allowed? It's supposed to be people on the morning show. Yeah, well your girlfriends not even legally related. She is, uh, she made the submission on behalf of Me. It sounds like you made the submission on behalf of Bobby Flay. Well so, so she takes all the butt jokes to fly and takes all day to make this she you're okay. Anyway, there were five stuffings in the running. Are you done yet? I'm done? There were five stuffings in the running, and she did a kick ass job. And I tasted it. I'm like, oh my god, this is gonna be a winner. It's it's It's got all the hallmarks of the things that Bobby loves. He loves a little heat, a little south Western flavor. So good, pandering fine. Anyway, of course, Elvis comes in first because he had corn bread, which was the angle. I guess that was the key to Bobby's heart today. Bobby like the corn bread and uh and and you know, so you know, we came in fifth. We came in the last place, so how so, how did your girlfriend? But my favorite part, she didn't save the day. She saved the day by by actually by coming to the you know, delivering a submission into the contest. Otherwise it would have had nothing. So So thank you food. If you don't wait a minute, wait a minute, wait, whoa, whoa? I think it's fair to say slices. Back me up here. I would rather not have a submission. And by the way, speaking of submission, you and Bobby, but speaking of of the contest, I would rather not have a submission. Then finished last. If you don't if you don't participate, you can't lose. Nah. She she saved the day by you lost. You came in last. She'll tell you that she was honored that Bobby would have even tasted and judged it to begin with, because she loves the Food Network and she loves Bobby Flay. Listen, my wife submitted, uh, because we're legally hold on my wife submitted stuffing. I don't know, like seven eight years ago. Body tasted it. He was, it's good, it's a little dry. My wife has not forgiven him for like ten years because he said her stuffing was a little dry. Still to this day. Still you're on the Brook Boys podcast office. The doctor's okay, all right, that's okay, But Scary was just telling us how you stuffed this but with Bobby flag or something like that. You didn't deny it. She didn't deny it. She's in the doctor's office. What did you do to her? Is she sick for meeting her own stuff? She's so upset. She's not upset. She said, look, it is what it is. She was. We came but she texted me earlier. We came in last, yeah, last place. So so so I looked at how Bobby was rating these things and he wrote, and we were, you know, we were. We were stuffing number three or whatever or four, and he just writes, wow. Now I thought, I thought, I thought, wow, man, yeah, we got this one. He met, Wow, this is bad, right, He meant, wow, Wow, you believe this? Son of a bitch? I was so bad? He said wow. But to his credit, and and I'll reiterate what he said, he said that we've all stepped up our stuffing game and that there really was no bad one. Wait a minute, wait a minute. If you stepped up your stuffing game and you got wow, that's awful. How bad was it last time? Holy crap? I came in fifth place? And he says it was it was. It was really tough competition this this year. It was. Yes, it was tough for him to eat. Listen, what the hell did she not cook this? It was great? I'm telling you, it's so good man so good. I took I took the rest of at home and like fuck these people then, and and you've eaten it. I will say I came in pretty close to the top with the People's Choice Award. It sounds like you were a bottom out in the living room the People's Choice Award, where everybody stuck there forking all the all the stuffings, and we all went around there like oh my god, and everyone's like, scary, this is really good. Scary, this is really good. Apparently not enough, not good enough for Bobby. So you're saying Bobby has no taste and stuffing the other The other thing he did though, because which Bobby is one of the finest chefs in the mouth took a fork and he he literally put like a three crumbs on it. And how do you judge from three crumbs? It looked that bad he was afraid to put more in his mouth. That's wow. That's what I'm saying is you can't get the full flavor and the full essence of a very complicated Is that video is that video of this? Yes, I want to see his facial expression when he had Robin stuffing, because it sounds like it was a fail I'm telling you he barely took a taste of forkful. So what's the best thing Robin cooks. What's the best thing Robin cooks? What do you think? Yeah, yeah, I love it, very nice And I'm sure she could do a good meat ball in the throw down. She does great turkey chili too. But you know, but this is all beside the point. This is not right. This is fucked up, because I feel that in order to really get an essence of a of a chili or anything or the stuffing, you need to take a full fork full and chew it and eat, get get all the flavors, a symphony of ingredients in your mouth. But because who knows? Second Nate? For all I know, Nate finished second? Yes, and that was did he make it? Or did he make it? I think Heather made it? Okay, I was gonna say, I don't think Nate's a great cook, although he's made some Italian dishes that weren't bad. I can see Nate finishing second. Danielle finished third. Danielle wasn't there. No, it was Scotty b who finished third, who, by the way, he looked like, actually no, no, it was who's the third one. Um No, Scotty be finished fourth and it looked like gray matter. And yet Dandie finished third with her curry. Were gonna say she did she did all these crazy spices in hers. She was gonna say, I bet if she did something unique. She did, And and Bobby gave her points for being gave a credit for being taking risks. And I don't think. I don't think she grew up eating turkey and stuffing every year. No she didn't. It's not a traditional meal. Phone it just to Gandhi. It sucks to me because because you know, even like portnoy stool President Day, one bite, he doesn't do that. He starts eating like six bites. That's the joke. He goes everybody rules one bite and he takes like five bites and then he bites the crust. He actually gets in there. This was not that. This was like, this was he barely want to get you want to get? You want to get Bobby on the phone. It was a bit. It was a morsel. Should we call Bobby Flay? I don't want to call him just I'm not gonna. I feel like we should have planned this out though, bother bother I think we should talk to him out. I think we should text him. You think so. I think I think you should text him? Should I text him? You text him? No, don't do that. Let's not do that. Let's he's on a flight to London. No, he that for a fact. Yes, he said he's gonna in London. I'll get Bobby. If I got him on the phone right now, I'll look. I don't want to bother him. I don't want all right, all right, all right, you gotta take a break. I gotta talk to you about Yankee Stadium, David Brody in Yankee Stadium. Yes, and and and a discovery about my wife that I think everyone's going to enjoys now. I haven't found that yet. But we are not going to speak that way about my wife. I'll make the follow up joke at all, but let's not. She listens to one out of every ten episodes, this will be the one. Well, she's gonna listen to episode one oh three, and I'll tell you why. So my wife goes, I was like, yeah, but she hasn't listened to all of the episodes. So let me tell you what happened. We were out at dinner at a restaurant that's a block and a half away from a restaurant she goes to with a friend of hers. The reason I don't go is it's one of these places that makes like a uh it's like a five course meal, like they have special every week they do a five course meal like a price fix, and they do very unique, oddball crazy recipes. And my wife will eat anything she is. She loves fancy concoctions. She loves like not like she doesn't. My wife doesn't pick it her food. My wife doesn't like wonder what's in something. She just eats it. God, absolutely sounds like I would have pared better with her than you. What are you making fun of me for my please? My wife puts up with you, but she couldn't deal with you. She couldn't. She puts up with me because I'm different. I'm a different pain than he has. You're you're She's not into you. Have to booge you with some of the stuff you do, although she would go to the boogie restaurants with you, which is why we've been going to booge restaurants lately. So anyway, let me tell you the story. So we're out of a nice restaurant and she's telling me how um in like for three or four days she's going to this restaurant again that she always goes through and she she uh was really excited, but she's not going this week. She's she's not going. I said, why now they do a thing called it's like you can't like, you can't. You can't order anything without anything that the chef makes. Whatever the chef makes, right, no substitutions. You just get what you get, right, Okay, she says to me. Now I didn't know this. I know she didn't like. I'll tell you what I knew she didn't like. In a minute, she says this, two of the five things are made with dill, and I'm not going there this week. I said, what she says, I hate dil. You, I said, what what kind of relation is this? You didn't know this about what I said. I know you hate pickles, but I didn't know you had a problem with the seasoning dil. Just ittill doesn't belong on food. It's it's shipped. I shouldn't put it on on food. I will never eat anything with dial on it. Well, here's the thing. Years and her forty five years, your Dick I know a long time. Here's the thing. I don't ever order anything with dil. She doesn't cook with dil. So we've never had a conversation about hard not liking dill. Huh. I know she doesn't like pickles, so I said, but wait, you eat you eat salad pickles? Yeah, because they're so soured you don't taste the dial. I hate dil, and now I can't go to the restaurant this week. It's the first time in almost a year that the menu is unappealing to her. So I said, I said, no, wait a minute. You know I don't like dial, but you don't have a clue how how much I hate dil. You gotta so I gave it the episode to listen to this week. So I'm'm excited for her to listen to the Saddel's episode we talked about, said Dilah. However, this weekend we went to Yankee Stadium. Now, Yankee Stadium, you don't have to be a baseball fan. It's not really a baseball story. Um, Yankee Stadium, the new one, the current one, and City Field with the Mets play will both built in two thousand nine, so they're relatively new stadiums. Thirteen years is not really old for a stadium, would you agree with that? Scary? Now, the stadium before City Field was known as Shay Stadium, named after a lawyer named Bill Shay, who was instrumental in bringing baseball to New York. When the Dodgers and Giants moved to California, Okay named it Shay Stadium. Now. Say Stadium was built in sixty three and sixty open sixty four. And you remember how you used to go from the lower level to the top level. Of course you used to take an escalator or do you remember could uh take an elevator or walk the stairs? No, there were no stairs. There were ramps. There were giant ramps. You go up, you turn, you go up, you turn, you go up. So you have to walk for hours because the escalators were packed and sometimes they weren't even working. So you gotta walk up these ramps. And at the end of the game it was fine because the crowds would all go down these wide ramps, but going up the ramp was bullshit. And when they when they built any Field in two thousand nine, they got rid of the ramps and they put in a lot of escalators. So there's really no problem in going from Florida floor. They modernized it, right. It's like when they build a parkway. Now they build it four lanes, not two lanes. Right, they make it better. I have never been to the new Yankee Stadium since it opened two thousands. Really, oh man, I've seen several games there. I've gone a many games in the previous Yankee Stadium, but not this one. I've heard it's uh oh, it's a it's a museum, it's a everything is the history of the Yankees, way as they made the original Butler replica. But it's close. So the first thing I noticed when I walk in, it's got ramps. I had a walk up ramps to the third level because we had seats in the three hundred ramp ramp ramp ramp ramp, ramp ramp ramp. So, first of all, fuck you, Yankee Stadium. That's bullshit. There should be escalators everywhere, not ramps. It's not okay, it just built the place. I've been at baseball stadiums around the country. Nobody's got ramps anymore, scary fucking ramps of money. Stadium has ramps. Still new that's a new build. Okay. First of all, it's a football stadium, and the football crowds. You can't trust them on escalators. They're all drunk. Okay. And what is eight games a year? Well it's Yankee fans. You're talking about, same difference, Okay, Okay, all right, So um, I get I order. My wife goes up to the h to the bar area right behind where we're sitting, and she's gets a beer for herself, and she gets me a water bottle. It's a sport bottle with a squeezy top. I get the water and I'm you know, it's a nice weather, uh last week last weekend, And I'm drinking the water, and all of a sudden, after I'm drinking i don't know, three or four or five SIPs, there's no water coming out. And I look and eighty five of the bottle is frozen solid. The whole middle of the bottle is frozen. So I'm like, well, I want water now. I don't want to wait for three hours till it melts. So I go, you know what, I'm gonna bring this back. I'm sure it's a mistake. So it's a it's a square bar like a kiosk, like just in the middle of the walkway, a square bar, pretty big, and I get online behind people picking up their drinks and I'm holding the water bottle in my hand, and the bartender sees me, goes, are you picking up a drink? You gotta wait over here? You want to order a drink, And he's like snotting at me, like I'm on the wrong side of the bar. So I said, I'm not ordering a drink. I'm returning this water. Here's I'll give you a minute. So he gives the drinks out to everyone picking up their drinks and he goes, what's somebody with the water. I said, it's frozen. He says, oh, yeah, give me it back. I'm sorry about that. Yeah. He goes, oh whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa whoa. You opened it? So I said, yeah, that's how I figured out it was frozen. Why didn't you see it was frozen before you opened it? Because ice is clear and it was surrounded by clear water. How could I see it was frozen through the water that it's also clear and the ice is clear. He said, what am I gonna do with it? He goes just wait, it'll melt. So I said, well, I'm gonna wait three hours for the ice to melt in the bottle. Give me another water bottle. He says, what you opened it? So before I continue, scary, what would you have done? I would be I would I would actually put my foot on the on the on the the gas pedal here and say and go back in again and double down and say, well, that's not my problem, that's your problem. Right now. You did not deliver the drink. I asked for right, and what is this? There's no skin off your back. Give me another water bottle? So I said, I would be polite about it, but I said, grape the guy, I said, the water. Why I can't jump over the bar? I said the water was like five bucks for seventy five whatever it was. I said, so that's not my problem. I said, uh, you know, damage it out, whatever you gotta do. He's liked, well, these are accounting for I go great, then put it back in the freezer. But I can't drink this and I paid for it, no offense, sir. I would like another water, I said, or I can find someone above you. But I'm asking you nicely. You sold me an ice cube. I would like some water please. He goes, well, I could put water in it for you. I go, no, no, no, I don't why he wasn't gonna use the soda gun and put water. And I go, if you fill up in water with water, I'll still left tempercent water. I'm not leaving. Give me a water. So he goes, I here take your water. He gives me another water bottle. I go here, take your ice. He goes, I keep the ice. I don't want it. So he was so worried that he would What was he gonna do an open bottle? He told me to keep it? So what did I do? I poured the water over the ice. I had cold water, and every time I emptied it, I poured the water into the ice. So I had cold water waters. So I got two waters, but I got like, yeah, I got two waters basically for the price of four seventy five. To fuck him, dude sold me I like the honk ice. So yes, I got two waters for the for the price of one. But you would have done the same thing, absolutely, absolutely, Yeah, up, it's a block ice. He must have thought I was a Mets fan. He must have known it's like fun, this guy in his you know what I did though in my pocket just think I didn't know what the rules were, and I don't know how like how crazy it was going to be in the stadium. So I brought a mask just in case, but it was a Mets mask. So I took selfies uh with uh with the Yankee stadium signed behind me and my Mets mask on, and I walked around and see if I got to react, and the Yankee fan there was some Yankee fans there would give me a fucking look like we'll take that school. So of course I had a good day. It was a good day. I got a question for you, Yes, sir, if you haven't seen somebody in twenty years like us, maybe maybe fifteen years. I'm gonna see fifteen years, then you arbitrarily get a text message invite to their wedding league. Would you entertain that in any way I got a friend or a family member, Uh, not even an acquaintance. An acquaintance, I'll tell you off. Mike, hold on, hold on, can you pause for a second. We're gonna pause here, remember this point. Hold on pause Okay, Okay, I locked it out there, so okay, so anyway, so I get this text is a text message. It says is sending you the save the date for our wedding and a link. Two. I guess what is a an evite to the wedding? Now my question is Brodie, knowing now who it is, hey, why would this person is find me be? I'm flattered? But see, is this really a cash grab where they can invite as many people as they possibly can, knowing they'll all be knows but yet a certain percentage of that will send a gift anyway, so they'll make some crazy bank off of a gift. Because this is such weird to me, because because because I'll say that it's knowing who it is and the relationship, this is weird. And I I had a better relationship with this person than you did, and so I'm concern I'm they have my number. Apparently, I'm flattered and I'm honored that I've been invited to this wedding. You had, you had barely you you had. No, you didn't have a relationship with this person. I know I didn't. But my question is, okay, so I'm knowing that is no, you don't owe them anything. I don't know them a gift. Oh no, a gift to why you had no relationship with them? None, That's what I'm saying you. You you really trying to fill the room though, like I do. They want Scary Jones because it's like, oh, we have a local celebrity in the heath, Like, I don't know why they would want me, and you know, I certainly don't know the guy. And what you really first said to me. Somebody texted you out of nowhere after fifteen years, that's all you said. At first, I thought if somebody who wants ginger ball tickets. No, they invited me to their wedding. When you first said, I thought they wanted something. Well, maybe they want my money and for a gift. I don't know, but maybe they've heard how you so you're so generous at weddings some people, I guess. But but it's just it's so out of out of outer space. It's not black Tie, is it. I have no idea. I didn't click the link. I don't want him to. I'm gonna pretend like I didn't get it. I don't know, I didn't get the message or something. I don't know. Yeah, but you have iPhone, right, They if they have iPhone, they can see that. You read it right, they have read receipts or whatever. My red My red receipts are off. Okay, it's rough. It's a rough one. Man. I don't know what to do because I like her. I think she's a great person. Wait a minute, how did you know it was her? Is she and your phone know the name? The name appears in the in the bubble of the text. It's in the body of the text. So and so and so would like to invite you to their wedding, and here's the link. And I didn't click the link, which takes me to the evite itself, but they had my number. It's just a weird situation because I'm like, first of all, I would know nobody in the room because I don't. I'm gonna, I'm gonna. I'm gonna say it was a mistake text. That's what I'm that. I was also thinking that it's gotta be first of all, Okay, first of all, it's a mistake text. Second of all, knowing who it is, how does that person have your phone number from way back? Why would you give your phone number to a person with the relationship you didn't have with them. They had my number. She had my number. I don't know she just did. It's a shade. She had my number. Yes, she had my number from those days. Why would you give out a phone number to someone you don't have a relationship with. Why at one point after this person again, I can't even go further than this was no longer. I think they asked they wanted me for a job recommendation. That's why you use email, right what but gets neither here nor there. I've never heard from this person. They should they should have come to me for a job. Even even so, it doesn't matter. This is this has nothing to do with anything other than the fact that someone from fifteen years just swooped in fifteen years ago, swooped in the invited me to their wedding as if I to them last week. And now I'm wondering, but is this an example of, Hey, let's invite everyone in our contact list, knowing that we're not going to get people to come to the wedding that don't belong there. But yet they still may send a gift anyway, because that's something either either it was a dare, either someone's like, oh you you say you know them, well, you should invite them. That's what I think. I think. Do you think it's an error. I think it's a mistake. I think they accidentally meant to invite your other friends, Skary. Well, all right, let's do some talkbacks and we'll get out of here. No, I got sound, I got sound too, sound sound sound? Okay, we got a couple of sound items. Yeah, I want a guy, got a got a band DJ. What do you got there for me? Uh? I got the governor's race? Oh oh, so do you know what? What? Uh? What? So when a mayor has an election, it's a mayoral mayoral election, yes, right, And when a senator has an election, it's a senatorial This would be gubernatorial, right right. For some reason, governor's racist is gubernatorial. So here's a clip of a highly respected, high paid news reporter. Go ahead, but one last thing. So I'm gonna go to Arizona on the ground. Um in just a second, give us an up day on the governor toorial race there, Lovenatorial is not a word. No, it's not. It's gubernatorial. That's why I wouldn't. I wouldn't trust that person or their network wherever that was from but one last thing, So I'm gonna go to Arizona on the ground. Um, in just a second, give us an update on the governor race there the governatorial that's bad. They hire over there better people in she she's pout timer. She pout timer on the weekends. She shouldn't be on that wherever we governatorial. That's a brain fart. Don't you got one of the lower case? Okay, um, in your entire life, you have never never heard anyone explain, uh explain a website like this, nor would it matter? But play the clip. Let's shopify dot com slash fantasy sports all lower case. First of all, what? First of all, who puts upper case letters in A in a U R L in a web address. Second of all, if you did, it doesn't doesn't matter, So you're wasting air time. Slash fantasy sports all lower case slash fantasy sports. Who gives a fuck? If it was address, I could do capital f lower case, a capital and lower process, it wouldn't matter. It will all go to the same place. If it was an email address, it wouldn't matter. If it was a Twitter handle, it wouldn't matter. What have you ever heard anything so stupid that they're telling people all what is who cares? That had to be from the same network as the government. No, no, was not. That was Shopify. So now let's talk about all caps. This is a guy we've played before on this podcast. He's a rock jock. He's the one that did the rock He's the one who did like the world as a vampire. He's like, what's the world? It's the question we've all been wondering our whole lives. I think that the world is a vampire. That guy, that guy is terrible. So here he's talking about Uh, he's about to play a song called God Gave Rock and Roll to You like Kiss the band Kiss Okay. On the screen of my radio. It says God gave rock and Roll to you, written the way everyone in the world writes it. Okay. Now the Kiss logo is all capitals, k I s s all capitals. Okay. Listen to what he says. And you taught me where he's wrong. And you know, there are two words in the English language that are always written in all caps, God and kiss. God is written caps. No, it's not no, it's not God is is cats always capitalized happen and by the way, I've seen it like Greek God and lowercase G. So it's not all no. But when you're referring to the God of of of Christians and Jews, it's always capital no. But if you're if you're saying, oh, you're a God, it's lower case G right, but it's certainly the word God is never cat lowercase G right, but it's right. So God is not all caps. So that's a fail right there. Uh you got Okay, See, this is a paid this is a This is a produced commercial for Anderson Windows, a major window company. Listen to the guy who's trying to talk about why his company is great. And if you call it with a problem, that's when they say, oh, we're the manufacturer, you have to call the installer for that problem. Or vice versa, vice vice versa. Yeah, on a TV commercial, nobody caught that. Nobody did vice about Selena Gomez. Okay, so Selena Gomez. I love Selena. Nothing against Selena. She's got a new I guess. Uh, it's a show. It's a special coming up on satellite radio and it's called The Music and Selena and Me or the Music and Me Music. No, No, it's it's play pay the clip, isn't it what It's called My Mind and Me? Nope, okay to clip. Her song is called that, okay, okay, and so my mind in me right, it's my mind to me? And then she goes, I don't want it to be about me. Well, that's what the song is about. That's what it's called my mind to do right. She goes on to say what she wants to be about. I just thought it was weird coming out of the documentary and song are called my mind and me, and I don't want it to be about me. It just sounded weird to me. That's the less clips I hate. I hate end on that clip. You gotta talk back? Or two we could play. We have a few of those, yes, and I got Then I promised to Scamboni. We can end on the Scamboni or we could do that on our next episode. Oh, I gotta hold the scamp. People hate when I do that. I'll tell you what we're gona do. I'll tell you what we'll do. Yeah, h we're gonna end it right here, and then we're gonna give you We're gonna give you some talkbacks and Scamboni's for another episode. We are going to do a second episode of Brooklyn Boys that we will be releasing week of Thanksgiving when we were supposed to have the week off. Have that now, Yeah, all right, I'll go for that. He's already way over, So we'll do the talkbacks. We'll do a bonus episode because it's even though it's not a bonus extra episode, we weren't gonna do an episode the week Thanksgiving because Scary is going away, So second episodes we weren't scheduled to do in any right, So yeah, but I know, but so we'll do a second episode. That's fine. Second episode. So this episode is gonna drop right here, and then just know that drop drop next week. You're gonna get a Brooklyn Boys episode on a week that we were supposed to be off. And I'll tell you about the dog groomer Scamboni and we'll play some talkbacks and uh yeah, we got stuff. I got stuff for another episode. That's fine, stop right there, he's dead. We'll not the guy who we're stopping right there, were stopping right there, me bothrong. Brooklyn Boys, Brooklyn Boys
