Speaker 1: All right, so how about this week we just call it Truce. It's not gonna be scary and Brodie. It's not gonna be brody and scary. I am very excited, though. Why is that? Because I prepared a brand new song for the podcast. Oh you did? I did. I'm very excited. Now it's long, so let it run and then I'll cue you when it's going to be just instrumental. Okay, sounds good. Here we go with body and scary. Okay, now you can talk. What what was that with body and scary? You can't just do that with body and scary. Done? That's perfect. It's shorts to the point. I called that my opus. That was my big I worked on that for weeks, getting the lyrics right. Thanks for everything. Rhymed. Son of a Bitch hit the real intro. Here we go, it's not is now the wiz Khalifa one. I don't know what that is. Wow. So for those listening to the podcasts who don't know, we're in a different studio. We're in our old morning show studio, not in the Elvis studio we normally record with the gold Mic. And I said, you know what, Brody, you take the driver's seat and I'm sitting I'm sitting in the in the Brody chair. No, I'm sitting. I'm standing where I normally do my Walkers and Talkers podcast, where I normally host my thing. And we're not in the studio. We're scary stands by Elvis's mike. So I was like, oh, perfect, someone's in that studio because this this is your studio, you hang out here more. This is what we used to do our morning show. I'm hating it already, why because of what's it's look at flow? It's catchy. I think I think that I can't do anything to stop that. Stop what Well, if you're Jewish, scaring Brody, you're reading right to left, it's not right to left, it's first and second, that's not how goes back. First of all, that's not how Hebrew works. It starts at the bottom of the right page and it works your way right to left. But it wouldn't be reverse words. You reverse every letter you read right to left, So you'd have to say, like Eriice Dorb, So you're really not gonna play the Brooklyn Boys podcast, we dem boys. I'm trying. Yeah, I didn't mix Brooklyn Boy see I put in the game fuck You, episode number fourteen, Episode fourteen, Brooklyn Boys. There we got up Brooklyn by scary Brooklyn Boy. You know it's Friday. We're late this week. You know, I gotta I gotta be honest. We normally record on Thursdays. Yeah, and I'm always in a different mind frame on Friday's. Friday's for me are The show ends at ten ten o'clock on East Coast YA on the East Coast ten on one. I'm out normally, Normally I would be out like eleven fifteen. I told the guy in the garage, who were we park our cars? I said, But I will say this, I genuinely enjoy doing this podcast, so I'm not in the rush to get out of here today. Well, I appreciate that, you know. And it's already a quarter after twelve. It's well and it's well into the afternoon. I mean, I do have something on my mind though, because we got a case of Joe's Stone Crab Legs from Joe stone Crab, and there were two giant bags in the box they were kind enough to send up for the morning. That was addressed to Elvis, right, so Elvis took one giant bag, but nobody else is still here. On a Friday, you were downstairs closing deals, and so Elvis gave me the other bag. So I have a giant bag of Joe stone Crab legs, which I can't wait for the weekend. But they're starting to defrost, so we gotta make this crist That's what I'm saying. I can't look a free stone crabs. You get the stone crabs. And while you were doing that, I was closing deals and they handed me a delongy griddle. Nice. Speaking speaking of delongy, Yeah, I want to talk about l g PT. Yeah, listen to podcast formerly known as Panasonic Pete. He's been on our podcasts, you know, many times over now we love l g P formally Panasonic Pete, but then let's called l G Pete because it's lg character. He has a character. So he hands me some some TV trivia. It's important things about TV. Actually he emailed Scary, and Scary said, you know what, give it to Brody bro you'll get it on the show. And uh, and it's it's really interesting information. LGDs did some surveys and it's fascinating research about TV. Stuff like the average person interviewed said they care more about TV characters that they watch every week or every that they binge watched in their own family members. Interesting stuff like that. So he said, oh, maybe Elvis would like it on the show. I said, I'll run up by Elvis. So I ran up by Elvis on Scary's Behalf because I'm my role on the show is to give him content for the show. And he said, oh, I love it. This is great. Then he went to Santa Fe and did a show three days in Santa Fe. Then he came back and he said he was gonna use it, but he hasn't. Pete's texted me, hey, did you get the on? Get stuff on? Because if he uses it, he gets to go back to when did Pete come start as a sales guy and then end up as a show producer? Right, So, because because sales people do the sales world, suit and ride cubicle thing, taking big meetings, closing deals and day, and we are the people that are the creative minds that are literally come up with where the show is where I had to call bullshit on on l g P. So he texted me this morning and says, this is like the fourth day in a row. Now, hey, did we were able to get that stuff on? Because if it gets on the air, you know, he's excited. He can go back to the client and say, hey, we we got your LG research on the air, which is, by the way, fascinating. It's not a client related thing as far as we don't get paid for that. He just thought it'll be interesting. But then LG is like, would love to have that research on the air because we're just talking about TVs in general. So I said, hey, I'm trying, Pete, but it's got to fit what we're talking about if it makes sense. So he said, hey, man, you know I want to I want to get the exact text message, but he basically implied. So I said, you know what, give it to Scary. Let's scar you worry about it. And he said, yea, he Scary is my man for everything, but when it comes to getting content on, you are the guy. So that's a very nice compliment. Yes, because because Pete knows that Elvis takes you under advisement when it comes to when it comes to content, right, you do other things blah blah blah. So he texted me this morning today is Friday, right, Okay, I love sitting in this chair. This is great. I'm very relaxed right now. This is awesome. I see what you go through there you go. Uh and so uh, you know he's like, hey, uh, you know, Scary is my guy with LG. Just trying to make the client happy. And then he's like, you know, Scary's got uh those appearances. Uh, Scary's got a TV. Uh all these great things. You have a great relationship with the client because I have to try this stuff. They gave you a loan or TV. I understand that you've got it for a month. Right. So, which, by the way, the reason why they handed me the Delongie griddle is because on Monday, I'm going up to Delongi headquarters and I'm gonna be shooting one of those webisodes about how guys grilled burgers and sliders and things. So we're gonna we're gonna test the DeLong gig griddle. So uh, he's given me one to uh and that's that's normal for you to understand the product. Yeah, people need to understand that that's typical. But that's not you know, me trying to like steal anything. Now, that's what we do. That's what we do, right, and and part of being honest is is talking about open and honest that we get things to borrow sometimes, you know whatever. So so, so I said, listen, if Scary has this great relationship with you, and he's using your products and eating with the client, why don't you have him trying to get elt us to talk about the product, uh this survey which is fascinating. And he said, Scary can a capital is Scary can do everything for the client except get stuff on the air. That's your job. So I said, Okay, you're right, but Scary is reaping all the benefits and you're just asking me to do so I'm calling bullshit on on l g P. Don't you love how that works around here? No? I don't. I don't love that at all. You want to change? No, I'm saying, if you're gonna be doing the appearances, hanging out with the clients, moozing the client lunches, you know, and it's all important going to ball games, going to ball games with with with the people that whatever company, I would, you know, if I'm doing the work for LG I would l pete l FLG Pete. Maybe LG. Pete might owe you something, That's what I'm saying. Not a steak dinner, not at that level yet, know, but but you know I would agree with that, Brodie. I do an LG. Pete update jingle. You'll bring one in, you know. I just texted Pete. I said, you better get your ass in here because we're talking about you. But he's on his way to a meeting, of course, probably to close the deal, the deal for you. And that's why Scary buys meat dinners because he's rolling in it with the clients. I'm just make me sound rich. I'm just kidding. Okay. So, by the way, can I just tell you I'm freaking hungover. Yeah, you went out last night, which is why you did not want to do this podcast too late today. Yeah, I wanted to get started after this show. Here. Here's the problem, guys. Truth is, you know, bro you have a you have a family, You go home to everyone else around here a lot of people do have families. I go home to an empty apartment and the simply the the opportunity to make extra money is just right in my face. So I'm like, you know what, somebody wants me to judge a costume contest. I'm headed, I'm headed to the costume contest. So yesterday my buddy Mike who runs Boom Cups, which is a plastic cup agency, plastic cup company hashtag not a client. Uh he Actually they had this thing at Blood Manner. You know Blood Manner where the horror house you go through. Well, they made this thing at Nassall Colisseum. They did Blood Manner, Long Island, where after you've done with the Haunted House, you get to go in costume and hang out in a beer garden. They renamed it Fear Garden and they took over. They took over the venue. Last night we had a DJ spinning they had and everyone in costume that had just walked through the Haunted House was just drinking and partying. And they said scared. He come in for a couple of hours and judged the costume contest. Okay, that was not cool because they left me like out to die because I get up on a microphone. I'm of an away trips to Atlantic City in Vegas for best Male, Best Female, Best Group contest costume and they tell me and I'm like, who my judges And they're like you're the judge. So not only was that the m C and but I actually had to judge who was winning these trips. So the hot girl, well hot girls singular. Here's what happens. And I don't know if it's like this where you are and everyone who goes to Halloween parties can can relate. Is it really the best and creative, most creative dress that wins. No, it's it's always the hottest chicks. So what ends up happening at this party last night? A bunch of girls show up from um like one of those modeling agencies, one of those beer model things that they have. It's actually a very reputable agency, the Heart Agency. They're very beautiful models, but they hire them out for like liquor sponsors, for liquor events. You've seen them handing out liquor at your favorite ball, but they weren't even competing. You had them win. No, No, that's the thing. Though I did the audience participation, I was I didn't want to be the guy to fall on the sword, right because it's you get a lot of it's a power trip, but then everyone hates you. Yeah, so right at one person loves you, everyone else hates you. So I said, no, no, no, no, I'm gonna get on the mic and I'm gonna do this by audience participation, which was a mistake because we didn't have legitimate judges. No one was like based on any real criteria. There was no our best original originality or whatever the case. Who was. Yeah, So when it came time for best group costume, I said, all right, best group costume, who's got it? And five just smoke shows in skeleton outfits. But they were like skeleton leotard outfits which just hugged their body and they weren't wearing anything else but the you know, the skeletons. So they were black and white, you know, the white bones on the black show up and they like, we're the best group costume, and then the best best costume. So I'm sitting there, I'm like, all right, then who's next? And two people come as j Lo and a Rod. They were a couple, very cool costume, but again he's run a Yankee outfit and she's just wearing a bandana and that's not a costume. Okay, hold on, that's okay. And the third entry was very good and which I would have made the winner, Slash and Axl Rose, two women dressed to the nines. I mean there was unmistakable Axl Rose and Slash. They had I mean the Slash hair, the hat, the glasses, and they did it from they they made it themselves. What do you guys think of What do you guys think of slashing an axel and two people went, Yeah, they probably sold their costume by hand. They they took orphan hair and weaved it into wigs. What do you think of j Lo and a rod? Whoo? Yeah? What do you think of the sexiest skeletons? The whole place erupts, screaming laugh. That's a lot. Yeah, they put on some piece of skeleton. Because I made the rules, I'm a schmuck, okay for making them last. But you know everyone saves the clapping for the end. That's not true, of course it is. You don't want to waste your clap. If if you clap for the skeletons, you're like class skeletons. They're like a rod, not bad a rod. But if you go a rod, you're already thinking skeletons. You're like, I'm not gonna waste some one clap on the Rod. No, but then you have a runoff and then you get so I got, I got Axel out of there, Slash and then it was a runoff between the other two. And I'm like, I'm going back and forth. You're telling me A Rod and j Low were better costumes than excellent Slash. No, No No, I'm sorry, you know they got the least Yeah, but here's the thing. Excellent and Axel got the least amount. So they were eliminated. Pop club, yes, some back for classic rock. My point is, my point is that nobody in this room was really judging on really the best costume. They were just judging on who's the hottest. So so these girls now walk off with a trip to Vegas, and were they deserving of it? But what did it take to put on a leotard? You didn't do anything exactly home. I went to a costume contest years ago and the girl who won was mostly naked and she had tape over her naked parts. But see, that's no. She went as a tape dispenser. That's it, that's clever. It's a word, it's word. But she was mostly naked. She had like ten pieces of tape on herself. That was her costume. She went a tape dispenser. Okay, you win. Oh man, she took like, uh, duct tape and she put duct tape over her nips and she put a lot of duct tape like a loincloth over hu huh. It's just a duct tape crack. It's like, I'm a tape dispenser. It's unfair, though, it's unfair because it's never Look the guy, Oh, look at the guy made a robot costume out of the little tabs you pull off the stone cans. Amazing, you're using the hot girl wins. No, I spent five hours using Reynolds wrapping. She just sent a lifetime doing crunches. Look how hot she is? She wins. And that's my problem. It's what you don't know. What if the girls that want in the skeleton costumes, what if they're really unattractive, out of shape women, but their costume was a hot girl. Now they got the best costume. Yeah, we're going as hot girls this year. So if you're going to a Halloween party, you know this. We are recording us on a Friday, and we have plenty of time for Halloween. At least it's Tuesday, right, but but most parties are going on this weekend here, just just don't even enter the costume contest. I don't know. It's just unless it's legitimate, unless you have a pen and paper and you're judging one to ten in five real category. But if there are three a sexual nerds as the judges, then that's fair. Otherwise it's always gonna be. But it's my fault because they wanted me to be the judge and I said no, and I left it to the audience, and I should have known the audience was gonna be. It's funny that you said you went to this incredible Halloween party with craziness and drinking, because it's very similar what I did last night, which I went home and yelled at my kids to pick their socks up. To see the correlation. My kid's costume is three girls that don't us into their father great customs. Probably my thumb is half broken because I got home at one thirty in the morning and then set my alarm for two fifty seven am for that launch of the Apple iPhone X. I had to be there at three am Eastern to get that freaking phone. And I got to tell you something. They scared the hell out of me. At three o'clock, I went there and I pressed the button, pressed the button. The Apple Store was not responding on the app. My thumb hit that button about five thousand times. I think I might have broken my current phone. Now I really do need the iPhone text. But what I later found out from the iPhone ten is that it was a glitch in the Apple software. So for ten minutes, a glitch and Apple software, Oh my god, there was. The store didn't go live until three ten am. I got in at three eleven am, and I got my phone. But I'm wondering was that a conspiracy? Was that Apple could make some more headlines. That's not That's not what I mean. Conspiracy means something happened and you have the pr stunt, that's it. Well, yeah, well he's Apple. There's store ready at three o'clock. How does Virgin America not have sprite cans on the on the flight? By the way, if you don't know what I'm talking about, you gotta listen to the Elvis stra In Morning Show fifteen minute Morning Show podcast from yesterday right no, two days ago from Wednesday, I full rant on how bad my flight was coming back from l A. Not doing it here, but if you like my rants bonus rant on the fifty minute Morning bonus bonus rants and another one. Anyway, I got on the phone, I do I need it? Probably? How long have you had the nine? And by the way, this is this is uh the seven? You have the seven? With the seven. They came out with the eight this year and the ten. Okay, so you didn't get an eight for the eight came out a month ago, right, they jumped to the ten. You know last year at this time is when I got the seven. Okay, So a couple of things. Number one, the technology in the ten is already on my Samsung Galaxy S A plus you burnt. Second of all, Samsung got screwed. I gotta say as much. I love my love Samsung, love my phone, love it. But sam Saw was doing their numbers. They had the S S one, S two, S three right that, and so they had the ses and then the S notes too confusing. Okay, no, No, the note has a pen, a stylist anything like this. His note has penny. It's a little bit bigger and it has a note pens like so you can write on it. It's great, that's getting lost. No no no, no, no, I haven't lost mine. I've had them for years anyway. So that what they did was the note was a little bit behind. It was like the five note when the sixth phone was out, it was always one behind and then um. So what they did was they they skipped a number to catch up to make them even. Okay, so the Galaxy Note uh seven had the problem yeah yeah, yeah, seven, and then they had the S seven last year as well. They jumped, right, they jumped to the eight and they made them both eights even the same time. So now they're at eight, which would have put them in line with iPhone eight. So that's eight and eight and then Apples like, oh yeah, f you what your eight boom ten and people the general public is going to think, well, it's a higher number on the iPhone, so I think that's gonna be the better phone. Right. They were right to it. That's why they call them geniuses, Apple geniuses. Yea. Anyway, So but you have to get your phone because that's what I get it, all right, It's what I do this year. There's not many things in life that I let's know, that's what you do. Although I I know what's different about the new phone in your phone, and I think you could wait a couple of days. You're like panicked if I don't get a day one one day one it comes a week from today. I'm so exod. Speaking of what we do, what you and I do is we bullshit for like forty five minutes to an hour. We ran, we read some jokes, We fight with each other, which we're still gonna do. But the last couple of podcasts we did episodes interview having the last three so we had we had fat you or fat You wish on Instagram. He was fantastic, awesome. We had Sebastian Menascalco take up half of our podcast. He was great and he settled the great Stake debate. And then episode fourteen, when fourteen Third Team was was we called a bonus episode because it was just us interviewing Jackie the joke man Martlin from a lot of work last week. You know, if this, if you think this podcast sucks today, at least we did to a podcast last week. I'm just saying we got you got two sons. On Thursday, the Brooklyn Boys uploaded Sevester Menascalco and Jackie the joke Man Martlin and then uh, my Walkers and Talkers podcast. I put up three podcast too on went on Thursday, so that means I personally had four podcasts go live on Thursday, and then another one on Monday. Another one proud to say this was for the Walkers and Talkers podcast. Uh, now that we were on iTunes and I've been promoting the iTunes linked more. Got my most listeners in a month ever was this month? Absolutely, And I changed the logo, put a little more effort into the design of the iTunes, put more content, more description, very happy. So there's a there's a startling statistic out there. You want to talk about Apple being a monster in over all podcasts, listening is done through Apple iTunes. So but on a separate on a separate note, I don't see them coming to Samsung for podcast this week. This weekend, the seventh right is free I Heart Radio all Access all Access, which is fantastic. The thing about my Heart forgetting about the podcast aspect of it, because they have podcasts as well. But you can get all the music you want anytime you want and skip as many skips as you want. This is a good weekend speaking of my Heart and podcasts and whatnot. Anyway, so this is not we don't have any interviews this week, so because people said, love the interviews, but more of what you guys do. Except yeah, okay, well you want to have somebody on you were thinking about, I want to have Joe Gaddo on. Oh okay, So Joe Gaddo, Joe Gadda from In Practical Jokers, friend of our show, from our morning show since two thousand two. That would be here yesterday for the Elvis Duran fifteen minute Morning show, right, and that was that was October twenty for the Thursday show. So we're telling you to go back and listen to Wednesday for my rent and Thursday for Joe Gatta. Who was he felt like he was part of the show just right. We it was me and Brody Garrett was in the room. Danielle stopped by and I gotta say, after that was over, I'm like, Brody, dude, we gotta get him on our Brooken Boys podcast. I mean, that is going to be right, and so that podcast. Daniels from the Bronx, You and I are from Brooklyn. Joe and garretta from Staten Alan. So if if you wanted to hear a New York flavored but it's not about New York. It's just well had accents from New York. So there's a lot of cursing, a lot of cursing. Joe is great. So afterwards after he's like, oh, this was so much fun scary, and I like, uh, like, hey, Joe podcast. So I told him what we do here and I explained. He's like, yeah, no, I know the podcast. I was like, listen, we left to have you and he goes, oh, absolutely, So you guys had just had sebster Manascalko on. I said, yes, we did so in a couple of weeks. When when his schedule now he's playing Madison Square Garden November nine, that'll be a great time for him to promote, especially if tickets aren't sold yesterday, which as we're recording this is Thursday, the tickets go on sale for Cleveland. They're doing a whole whole tour, huge tour, so find them in there in Practical Jokers. Uh, And they're on tour right now, Love Jokers, So he will be on but not today. That's good. Yeah, BROI I gotta be honest with you. Um, I don't. I don't have a control of the music. I have no control of the sound of anything. So yeah, you can't reach that button. Yeah it's not on this show. Yeah, so I don't know if what you want to do? You want to do? You want to read email today? What do you I do want to read email? I do. I want some great email. But what you do not check our email account? I do you do the emails? Alright? But also in charge of the Instagram account. You haven't uploaded anything. You suck on that. Um you also handle the Twitter and and I'm supposed to get that name change any day. Yeah. So all the things you're handling, no, no, no good, But email you do well? I do want to stay with things. I have jokes we didn't get to. I have a number of rants. I have a complaint about you, and I want to yell at Larry David. Can can we cut it down to one rant? Because it sounds like we've got a lot of business and we're already like a half hour. Why don't why don't you do emails? You want to do email right now? I want to do email? Okay, alright. The Brooken Boys Podcast at gmail dot com you can always email us. I definitely will get to your emails. And Brody, because he's running the board, it's a little slow to the punch here never Yeah, where's that music? I don't have the email stager. You don't know what is it under? It's it's under emails. It's on our Brooken Boys podcast page of sound. Yeah. All right, then there, Brodie, I'm just gonna read Naked. I got it. I got it. I got it. By the way, when I used to do a podcast with Greg t hold on, well great, I didn't hear Yeah, Greg, Yeah, he demanded to run the board and switch with me one day and it was it was atrocious. It was a train wreck. Here's the here's the mail stage. What did you want to do? What did you want talk about? Stake again? Just a hint? Is a hint? Proty? Really no, Here's what we went through. If you heard episode twelve, Sebastian menascalco settled it. We said at the beginning, if you haven't gone, if you missed that episode. Whatever Sebastian says goes. Sebastian says, you dinner, All right, let's play the I didn't tell him when I'm taking him the eighties Blue Clue stage. Here we go. That sounds like it's time welcome. You've got mail? All right? Well, uh we got the email coming in. Okay, so as well. I just don't know if I if I can read this guy. This guy is Yoel Bruel, A recap of everything. Hey, guys, I have to say I've been listening to the Big Show from a fifty years now. I remember the guy in the corner and the other guy. But this guy is taking up through our twenty year history here. Now does he know I'm the guy in the corner. He knows you're the guy in the corn. Brodie, I have to say, you are probably one of the funniest guys I know. I quote, always quote your lines. I love stand up. My perfect night out is dinner in a comedy show. And I knew you did stand up. I never knew. I never got to catch you on stage, though, Loving loved the conversation with Sebastian on episode twelve. Oh. He also grew up in Brooklyn in Borough Park as a Hasidic Jew, and at the age of seventeen he was kind of a dropout Hasidic. He became he got he had a drop he was a dropout. He became friends with a lot of Italians from ben and Hurst where we used to hang out and later we got older, goes to all the go to all the clubs. They used to call me the guinea Jew. Everybody knew me as the Jew that will change your views on Jews. The point is I can really relate to your podcast very much. I find it hilarious both of you. So it sounds like a guy who like we're just one of his friends in his name hood. I have a million things that trying to chime in about, but I just want to say love hashtags, love Brodie, scary, love you guys, And if you're going to read this email aloud, please don't mention my shit. Okay, here's here's here's here's a helpful hint, helpful tip. If you want us not to read your name, don't put it at the at the front and then put the warning in the back. Man. We had we had people call up the morning show. We were talking about what's your dirty secret? Right, it was like, what's your dirty little secret? So this this girl calls up. She tells our phone producer Ritza, my name is I don't remember. It's like Eileen saw her name on the screen is Eileen, and Elvis goes, yes, hello, Eileen goes, oh, we don't want me real name used? Then why would you tell the phone producer your real name? Your email should start? Please don't read my name on the air. Yeah, exactly, Yes, that's how it should start. Yeah, there's a little tip for you. Sorry guy. All right, Hey, guys, love your new podcast, Broken Boys, Love, Love, Love the Rants. I can listen to Brody all day to your problem. I started listening to Elvis de Rancho four years ago on my heart and as I was getting ready for work, and I listened to it every day at my desk. I love the fifteen minute morning show, Love Brodie's Walkers and talking O my God, lots of love for everybody. Sorry scary for getting Brodie all the love on this email, but I do think he is awesome and he's so hilarious. He's so quick on his feet with the jokes and punch lines. Both of you guys are crazy together on your podcast. Look, you have the good work. Thank you, Carolina or Carolina that Sandy McRae is her name? Okay, Sandy? It says Brodie email Elizabeth a Rights hashtag no vegetables. Oh my god, Oh my god, Brodie, I listened to the Scallions Rant full volume in my car. Brodie, if a dish was made for you where there are vegetables but hidden and you can't tell there are vegetables in them at all, and no one told you what's in it, would you still eat it? Okay? Would you have sex with an ugly person if the lights were off and you know, yes, because if they had like things growing on the money, well, if you didn't know they were ugly, yeah, yes, you would eat vegetable if you didn't know that. If I didn't know they were in there and I didn't taste them, then there's no there's no there's no, there's no loss. I don't not eat vegetables because they have their named vegetables. I don't eat them because I don't like the taste of most vegetables. They don't like the texture. I don't like them in my food. I don't want to be slowed down by sprouts when I keep be having little maine and road talk. All right, Well, thank you, Lisa Costa from put It's a fair question. Question. But no, I don't like sprouts. So if I had the coin, is if the guy if you buried vegetables inside of something and he didn't know, he wouldn't detect it, and he wouldn't. I'll show you how I've grown over the years. When I was a kid, my mother would strain the tomato sauce to get all the little pieces on you out. Now as an adult, I'll eat the sauce of the onions are small enough. I've come a long way. You know what. That's you've grown. You're making strides. You're making strides. Not quite a man yet, but I'm working on it. I also want to give just a shout out to uh Elizabeth a uh just that's her email. Oh, oh, email twice. Wow, she's a big fan. She also Elizabeth, she sent us the uh she said, that's the ambersand Debate. She sent me a copy of a link of the history of the Amber Sand and ambersand so thank you so much. She's she wants us to read up on it. Apparently it goes it's way deeper than we ever know. And from a favorite of ours, Henry Davidson, a very frequent flyer to our podcast. Uh is this one too soon? I don't think you guys will think so. Yes, it's Amber Amber sand not Amberson Amber Alert. All right, well then, oh, you know she had it right. I had it wrong. I'm lazy and tired, all right, Henry Davidson, Uh here, I think you. I don't think you guys are gonna find this too soon. It's Michelle Marsh's obituary. Marsh's New York newscaster CBS and NBC here in New orc long time host of the News at Night. She passed away from breast cancer. I think age sixty nine. Very sad, story, terrible. It must have some intern right the oh bit. It just said she graduated from Northwestern in one seventy six, so in the year one. That's terrible. By the way, do not get things wrong on someone's death. On what on a gravestone? All right? But this isn't someone who's paying tribute to her here and then wrote, someone wrote, I guess it came from so was she from nineteen seventy six? Is that what we're missing? We don't know. It just has to be six. That's too that's too late. Well, it's not seventeen sixty won seven? Six, so they're missing the nine ninety six has to be was she that young? Well it ca when it can't be seventeen ninety six, what else could be missing? It just sucks because she died and it's like, get it right, She's the last thing you're gonna write about the news that she's not upset about it. Oh well, I'm just saying. We do good stuff over there. All right, let's get into some unused punchlines, David bros. That what we're doing. Okay, I don't have any wacky music ready. You don't have wacky music ready? Here, It's it's all right, I got it. I got it. That's it. Next week, I'm coming back in then I got the music you didn't color coded spent by the way's way too loud. That's actually it's okay, take it away, all right. So this was a joke about the porn that if you if you're into Danielle, where would you go to find porn of Danielle? And I said, because Danielle on our show we always teacher shows a mustache. So I said, check her out on stash porn dot com. That's very funny. That is awesome. All right? What else you got ready? Uh? You got one about you? You carved a pumpkin on Monday. Yes, and this pictures up on song on Alvista ran show dot com. Alan on Instagram, you made the nose like a t no nostril flared nose, but it looks like a like a like a ball sack. It looks like a scrolled them. It was supposed to be like an Italian's nose, like a really big nose. Hey, I'm offended for Italian people, and I'm out Italian, all right, it supposed to be a Jewish person's. Now I'm doubly offended. Your fuck? What do you want to say? How about it's just a big nose on a pump. It's a big nose. But the thing is, it looks like it does look like right, So I said, So the joke that didn't get used was, oh, scary made a saco lantern? Oh why did you do that? That's what I want to know, So I use it here? Okay? Uh Nate, one of our other producers on the morning show Straight Nate said his favorite sex position is the waterfall. He puts his feet up on the bed and then he cascades his body down to the ground. So I said, you should call that move nagrab balls. Then I said, should call that, should call that viagraph falls. Didn't get that either, Wow, didn't get either one of those On and here's the last joke from this week. And okay, keep in mind I was off on Monday because I was out in l A for the Walking Dead premier season eight, so it was only four days of unused jokes. So here is h We were doing this story about Amazon delivering marijuana where it's legal, right, so that my joke was instead of Amazon Prime, they'll call it Amazon Primo. I didn't get on and you have one yet one? You know. It was more of a pop culture reference to an eighties movie, but pretty much we were talking. We had Greg t out today at the Devil's Tree, and what's to explain what the Devil's Tree is a haunted tree that if you touch, if you touch it in a certain place, it's the gateway to hell. And then an old man and a Ford pickup truck is gonna come out and chase you off the property. So there were people there, I guess, and they're like, was like, what is he saying to you? What are they saying to you? Well, I wrote Elvis, the very time I've wrote him a punchline, tell him large Marge sent you, which is clearly a reference to Peewee's Big Adventure, which is the classic line from that film, which, by the way, I hunted straight and Nate saw it. I didn't even hold it up to him. He just saw it. And he repeated, and he's in that same voice. He goes tell him large Marge sent you. But Alice didn't do it as a punch line. I thought that if he would have done that on the air, Brody, I thought he would have gotten a laugh from half the audience, because who hasn't seen Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Do you know the scene with her on that dark, that dark road and he hitch hikes and he's in a truck, a mack truck with a woman driving, and she's talking about this ghost story about the scariest things she ever saw in her life, and all of a sudden, the whole audience freaks out because she her whole face contorts like almost like uh, it goes into like claymation, and her eyes bulged out of her head. It's it's so unexpected because Pee's Big Adventure is a film, and all of a sudden, this claim claymation thing comes out of the screen like what the fund just happened. It's a very funny part of the movie, and then she leaves them off on the side of the road in the dark, and her line is, tell him large, Marge sent you the funk? Is that crickets? There are people listening to this laughing at that joke and offended that you're playing crickets. Why there's a glitch in the system here. It's all of a sudden, it's playing by itself. Let me see if I can fix it. Okay, I got it, asshole, asshole. I'm the guy in this song that doesn't mention asshole in there. Bright scary So what else is going on? All right? So I have a bone to pick with Larry David again. Hold on, now, you just put the music right up front there. You didn't even save it for like a pivotal moment when it's my bit. The music is ready. Notice that the music is always ready. It's just I know you gotta give the punch line and then throw the music in. That's it's not ready for. But I'm not my rants thoughts from boom boom boom. Alright, so then go far the way so I forget, please, I apologize. I'll try to figure tweet out who you are. I got tweeted a link for a page that's called um curb your Video, And you go to the page and you click on any YouTube video you want, and then you slide the Larry David head to the time code in the video you want, and at that exact scene, it starts playing the theme song to Curb Enthusiasm. Very funny. I did it with the Matrix. Hilarious. All right, curb your video. Alright. So a few weeks ago, on episode two of this season, uh, Larry David started maybe in the first episode he was struggling with a pump, couldn't get the soap to work, and talking about that because I always rant about the pump in the bathroom out here, how the pump doesn't work and I punch it and everything. So he I feel like he ripped me off. A couple of our listeners tweeted me today and yesterday because they saw the same thing I did. This week's episode. One of the four or five storylines is that every time he goes to a meal with Richard Lewis, they try to out early themselves and get earlier and earlier, so they're the first ones there. Why to get the better seat? Now every time, Larry shows up a half hour early. Richard Lewis shows up an hour early so he can get the better seat at the table so he can face the door. Got it? You did that to me dinner? Did you rushed to the table and took the first seat. We talked about it on the podcast. I said, you're supposed to be taking me to dinner. You ran and got the first seat and talked about the mafia. I always faced the door, And what does he have to do with you? David is ripping me off. The whole bit about come on, the seat matters. You gotta get there first, get the good seat. They take this ship a year in advance. I've been complaining about this for a while. I didn't see his script. How do I know they didn't film that after we had our rent. That's like having the punch line of a Day of the Day and then it's an obvious joke, and then Jimmy Fallon does it at night during his monologue and then you scream with the TV and you want credit because it's But if it's an obvious joke, if it's something that happens to everyone, then I just it's the second time I'm starting to feel like I feel like I did it first, or I'm trapped in some kind of Larry David loup and I can't get out of it. So I think maybe I'm I'm I'm living I'm feeling his aura. Something's wrong, all right, or I'm turning into Larry David legitimately. I think you're becoming him. I really did without the Money again. I said it again. I'm Larry David without the Money. By the way, I found it perfect. And by the way, my middle name is Lawrence, which is long Larry. I'm actually David Lawrence, David Larry by the way. You know, it's very funny though, And yesterday I saw this outside our windows, and I'm like this, this will be perfect in a in a in a Curb Your Enthusiasm, or even an SNL episode. UPS guy was fighting with the USPS guy, the United States Posts Postal Service, so the the the Post Office of America, the one we all know and love. There was a truck and it was blocking the UPS, which is what can brown do for you? The brown truck and the two guys are like fighting and screaming and yelling. It was very funny. I'm like, oh my god, this is a hilarious moment. They're like two major competitors. Another joke that was wasted, A good joke was wasted. You came to me and said, Brody, you gotta see this. The UPS guy is fighting with the with the U p U SPS guy. And what did I say? Immediately? I said, are they boxing? Boom? That's a great joke. You were like what huh? And You're like, oh, that's funny, but you were so caught up in your story you missed it. And then I said, why can't they get along? They're exactly they're only one s apart that said there one s apart that USPS ups now FedEx shows ap fuck them that, you know, I understand that, but I love love FedEx. But still, so who won? We don't know. I think that the problem was that the u sp A it was a USPS hub. That's where they parked their trucks. And I guess maybe maybe it's irony that the UPS guy was blocking the the entranceway so the USPS trucks couldn't go out and make their deliveries. Maybe that's not irony. I don't know, No, it's just it's just sucky. But do you think at some point one guy says the other guy, I've got a bigger package than you. Probably maybe he'll leave something brown in his box. No smiley face on those boxes. So what why are you angry at me? Bro? So I've got two rants. I've got one about a store the customer service problem, and I have one about you. So I'll just rant about you. Of course, all right about you. So over the weekend I was in l A with my Walkers and Talkers co host Jamie. We had separate rooms and we had to leave Monday morning. We had to catch a flight. So I set my alarm West coast time to wake up it. I don't know, let's say ten ten o'clock, ten o'clock West Coast time. That's one o'clock East Coast time. I went to bed maybe three in the morning. I had three in the morning, right, which is six in the morning in the morning. Yeah. Sorry, So the phone next to my bed break. Nobody's calling me on a Monday morning. I leave my phone on. Before you guys start tweeting at me, you could have done this, you could have done that. I know all the things I could have done. I know I could have do not disturb my phone. There's reasons why I didn't put my phone on do not disturb. You don't even tell me all the apps. And I know what I could have done. What I didn't realize was the people I work with, the pricks, And I'll tell you why my phone vibrates. And it's web girl Kathleen, who runs Elvis, durand dot com. She sends out these group text messages. We're like thirty of us, A fifteen of us are on there and we'll have to apply or when she wants us to know everything. So I'm half asleep at this point in my world at six o'clock in the morning. When I went to bed three o'clock in the morning, it's five whatever it was, had a few hours sleep, and I don't even read what it is. I just text back because I know how these things go. Everyone replies and becomes a text clusterfuck. And I said, do me a favor to take me off this um West coast. I'm sleeping by by. I have a good night that lasted about thirty seconds. But for Greg T decides, oh, Brodie wants to sleep. He starts sending out text messages with questions for everybody. Hey, what's your favorite color of leaf? Whatever? Whatever? The scook the question was, I don't even see it. I just heard on my phone. I have an app on my Android phone. If I miss a text every five minutes, it'll start vibrating again, so I don't miss it. So it's going off every every five minutes. Well, then all you idiots are chiming in brown, red, yellow, you're burnt Sienna and then bethany techs in from our shows like oh, isn't burn burn Sienna the whore or something I don't know, and you guys, and I said, guys, please stop, I'm really tired. I'm trying to sleep. It please stop now. Granted you guys were working and I was off. I get it. Then it kept going Gregg he kept asking more questions, and I and you guys kept texting. So I texted you afterwards when I I went back to sleep. Finally, after like forty minutes of this NonStop begging you to stop, you kept going kept going. As it is, I get stressed about flying. I don't need to fly. Tired, it's a bad situation for me. I went to bed, uncomfortable whatever. So I texted you and I said, all kidding side, I'm pissed. And your response to me was, Hey, man, I don't want to be the only guy to say no, right, because bro you're the first person who says, don't ruin the joke. Don't be that guy. If there's a kick me sign on someone's back, don't be the guy to go up to him and say, Hey, there's a kick me sign on your back. Or what happened either other day where you walked in on a woman who was visiting the radio station and Bethany, and Bethany had her eyes closed and you were going to scare her, and she Bethany and and the lady said to Bethany, don't open your eyes too fast because there's someone in front of you. You don't want to be the person to spoil the joke, Okay, so you gotta go along with it. Yes, And so what I was trying to say was, in the case of let's funk with Brody and send him a barrage of texts, I'm going with good copy. I'm gonna I'm gonna do a joke too. I'm gonna throw my hat in the ring. I don't want to be the guy to sit there in silence. Okay, here's why I disagree. Number one. I don't do things to people that inconvence their life or make them uncomfortable. I say things that are funny. I make them laugh. I don't do things that make them hurt or in pain, or uncomfortable or ruin their day. I'm not a prankster, per se. I don't put water on people's chairs like some of our coworkers do. I don't put push pins on their seats like Greg T the frat boy does. I don't prank I do things that are funny. I say things that are funny. But if someone is sleeping and it would ruin their day to do that, that's not my sense of humor. But why, but why did you direct them text message at me when you you should have copied and pasted to every person on that thread. There are six people on that thread. I texted directly to Kathleen, who wrote back, oh, you so brought it on yourself. No, I didn't, okay, because I asked you nicely not to. Then you did it, and I said, okay, guys, I got it. And then that you kept doing it. By the third time of me asking, it's no longer funny, Like the joke is done right, you woke me up. You did it. I get it. They're asking me about the leaves. I get it. By the third time, it's like, you stop, I'm begging you. I had to get then in there. Yeah, I know that was important. Um So I texted almost everybody. I didn't text. I told Greg TM was a punch and when I see him, I texted him directly. I texted Jake that I was pissed, and I texted you. But why did I text you specifically? Because you're my boy, You're my Brooklyn boy, my co host, the guy is supposed to have my back, and you fucked me because, as I said in my text, your desire to not be that guy outweighed you're desired to not fuck me. Yeah, but Brotie, what you're overlooking here is there was one thing you could have done from the very beginning that was and that was leave the conversation. You could not. I can't. You could mute that conversation. Cannot do that? Well, I count on my iPhone ten. That's I could do it on my iPhone seven. Yeah, yeah, we'll talk a technology now. Look, Sam, hold on, I don't know if the stock text messaging app does that. Are not I use a much higher end text messaging program that does a lot of really cool things except the obvious. Well it may there may be a setting I'm not aware of. The point is that I covered this already before. I don't want to get into what I could have done. No, that was the one thing you could have done. You could have specific You know what, if the murder victim didn't walk through the park, he wouldn't have been dead. But every time about that, like What's app, if you have a What's App program or any of these other ones, you could in the corner you could just press a little the little wrench whatever, the nut, the bolt, whatever, that freaking setting the settings icon, and right there it says, mute conversation and the story go back to. Here's the other thing. I was blurry, I tired. I don't know. I didn't even read the text messages at the time. I couldn't tell which was which I just do. The phone was going off, so I voiced texted, I couldn't even type. I was so alright, alright, So that's it. So I was pissed at you, but now I'm on because is not a place for anger. It's a it's a place listen to these people scary. That's that tells people this is a fun, welcoming environment. Really listen to the last thirteen episodes. You tell me that this is a fun and welcoming environment. Well, it's eventually. The beauty of what we have is that we get over it. And one side we stopped this thing bets in one year and out the other friend, I didn't even give it. I didn't even flinch when you texted me. I'll see. That's part of the problem. I needed you at least. This is what I won't tell you. Of the other four people I texted, every one of them texted back, I'm sorry. Or when I came in on Tuesday, said hey man, I'm sorry. Scotty Scotty b he bought me breakfast and a box of my favorite cereal to have here in this No, you didn't, you did, Dennis did so. So I want to tell you what. I had a little bit of a I had a little bit of a Larry David moment, but it was more of no, no, It was more. It was it's not a rant. You might have a ranch four this, but I was almost putting a really bad up position. I'm already upset. I I went to go park my car in Hoboken in a parking lot, an outdoor lot, because there was no parking on the streets. If you're not familiar with this, everyone has an area where you can't park. It's a bit. It's a bit. So I pull in and it said three dollars for fifteen minutes and seventeen dollars for two hours. Okay, there was no other option other than you know, twenty four hours, you know, and and you know, like the point is it went from fifteen minutes, three bucks, two two hours, seventeen dollars. So like fuck yeah. So and by the way, I see why they do that, because they want to get you. But so I'm like, okay, I'm going into the Spirit Halloween store over here, next door to the parking lot. I know what I want. I'm gonna run in, I'm gonna run out. It's the middle of the afternoon, no problem. I dart into the store. I go up and down the aisles. I find my gangster uniform. That's the customer. I wanted basic pitch. Sorry anyway, come back out with it. In the eleventh minute, I'm like, fuck, I got I got four minutes to spare. I get to the I get to the guy where you hand the guy the ticket and he gives you the car back. But there are three people in front of me. Hold on a second. There are three people in front of me, and there's one guy and he's Jimmy and cars in and out of this overcrowded lot, and he's shuffling cars around like cards. And I'm like, wait a second, I'm about to have a Larry David moment because I have four minutes to spare. Technically, I'm back on the fifteen minutes. But you know what's gonna happen. He's not gonna get your car. Well, the computer is gonna register and if this thing, the computer has no mercy, right, So once it hits the sixteenth minute, I'm getting charged. See there's nothing I can do. I can't change the computer, nothing I can do. I knew the conversation is coming. So now I'm I'm sitting there and I'm sweating, and then the gut one guy gets his car and then the next woman gets the car. Now it's thirteen. It's the fourteenth minute. I'm like, fuck, I'm gonna be fucked because there's still one guy in front of me. So the guy comes back and as he's taking the guy's card in front of me, it's excuse me before you go, I said, I'm this meter is about to expire. I got here. I got here four minutes ago. You saw me standing here. I'm here. I get the three dollars, pay for three dollars minutes And he's like, oh, yes, yes, yes, hold on a second, and he tells the guy to hold on. He takes my ticket, he runs it through the computer like a good man, and he leaves it off to the side. So he still took the guy before me, but he he entered. He exited me from the computer system in four with a minute to spare. I paid the three dollars, not to seventeen. That's a great episode of Curb. If that guy in front of you, what would you have done? Well, that's that's my question, really, is the question, like, what would I have done if I was there five minutes early and and then what what the funk? You don't run my ticket? Until the sixteenth minute about this. Tell me if I'm right or wrong. Here you can tweet us at David Underscore Brody at Scary Jones. If that guy didn't let you cut him, I've got an appointment, I gotta go. If he causes you to be a minute late, he owes you fourteen dollars. Yeah, but he was first and he was in front of me in line. But if he doesn't step aside, he owes your fourteen dollars. That's what I would tell him. I'm like he does the guy who doesn't move, If he's like that, I don't want to move. If that guy had said no to you, that guy would have been Larry David nod he's an asshole. No, Larry David would have been the guy upset that the guy in front of didn't move. What what kind of guy doesn't move? That's what he would saying. I thank the guy profusely. I said, thank you so much for just letting this dude punch my ticket. Take the extra few seconds. But it was it was it was a close cold. That's the difference between your life and my life. My life. That guy says, I gotta go. My wife's in the hospital, or he's gonna pay by check and he can't find his I d something would go wrong and I would have to pay the extra money. Right, But three dollars to seventeen dollars, that's a big jump. It's a big jump for for just the computer, just changing from fifteen minutes to sixteenth minute seventeen bucks. I think it's unfair that they price it that way. I think it's balls. Well. They what they're trying to do is encourage you to get in and get out and leave, which is what you did. They want turnover, they want they want you to get out of your spot, more people shopping, more people shopping, if you come and spend, they can make more money in those those now because if they get you and they make more money in the fifteen minutes, fifteen minutes plus fifteen minutes over and over again up to two hours, a lot more than seventeen do a lot more. Plus if ten people go shopping, that's ten people buying Halloween costumes is supposed to one guy who doesn't know what he wants. It's just I just funny, funny that I had I had everything all planned. The Spirit Halloween costume store was right next door to the garage. I got this. I got this. You just reminded me. I have all my Halloween costumes from over the years, some of them unopened. This is the week to put them online and sell them. Why is that, Well, because people are looking for last minute costumes. So like two years ago, I went as three years ago when whenever Taylor Swift was up here, I went a star Lord from Guardians the Galaxy, but I went dressed as Lord wearing star Lord's costume. I was star Lord. So then I took that costume that I only wore that one day, sold it on eBay the day U no Craigslist. The day before Halloween. I got more than I paid for it. Little little David Brownie tip. Somebody got me that way to this. This year, I needed a second costume for the morning job, doing it part of a three way costume between me, Bethany and Sam and Uh. I waited till, well, not last minute. I waited till two weeks before and costumes costumes sold out everywhere and someone on eBay was holding onto it unopened. The official costume. I can't even say what it is the official costume of this character. It's the last one online. One character, three people from one character. Are you a dragon from Game of Thrones? Nope, damn it, nope not nope, not Mollarry and Curly. Not No, you said one character that's big enough, that needs three people. No, no, no, no, we're three characters, and I'm one of the three characters. And no, no, it doesn't matter. The point is this lady was holding onto this. She did exactly what you described. She was holding onto it, and she doubled the price. Three blind mice not it. And you know what else. It's not Three's company, but that would have been great. Sam had black hair, yeah, that blonde hair. So he is. If you want to resell you you got to resell your costume. You want to get something that's that's classic, that's an evergreen. So last year I was Han Solo. Yeah, so this year I'm gonna sell it is Han Solo still good? If you if you buy like something that's that's a one year costume. I have the fat What do you have the fat costume? I have? Yeah, I have ganging him style. Sigh. Yeah, you're done. I was buying that. I bought that the year that it was popular, dude. I was all the raids that year. I have the powder blue, the suit, the boat, the sunglasses. You've seen me in that costume. It's great. Great, Yeah, here's your only option. He's your only option. It's like the parking meter, either a little bit or a lot. You gotta wait another till till the two thousand twenties when they do a retro party of the two thousands and you're like, oh, I got a side costume for sale, shy this year. If my costume comes in, I put my order in late. I'm gonna be lot Ren from from Star Wars Force Awakens, the broish style. Yeah, Lauren with the voice change or and everything. If I get that, I can sell that because that's always good. Star Wars is classic. Yeah, he went to side, But I tend to do that every year, though, I have like five other costumes that really good that year. What do your gangster one from three years ago? Because you're going as gangster again this year? Well, he got dirty. I was at I was at Webster Hall and it was white pinch stripes. So now I went with the black pin stripes, right, So now you have a shot of selling it next year. Either for Halloween or for an Italian wedding, or a sweet sixteen DJ, because if you take the jacket off and you just wear the shirt and the tie, I'm black on black with it with a red tie. I am a sweet sixteen DJ. By the way, I love going to Sweet sixteens and barn Butt mitzve's now especially working here because because they assume you don't know the music, You're like, oh, it's some dad, he doesn't know anything. Hey, now, well that's what they're thinking. And then you come up to them and you school them on their own music, right, Like that's want to hear Cardi b bitch? Yeah, don't you can't funk with me if you wanted to. Yeah, I'm like, do you have the remix of this with so and so? They're like, what are you talking about? You know, I want the remix with Beyonce. I don't want that. This is this is what's played out right exactly? What Yeah? Yeah, you said, yeah, why are you playing me Hunt Day with Willie? Will you? I want me? I want me Hunt Day with Beyonce? Yeah you know about that? Yeah? Well you you kid asked you to play it? Yeah, la la I don't see the only thing he does in English because the resident is Spanish. Yeah, yeah, Alvin, Yeah exactly. By the way, you know what song that is, um Fiesta Forever. That's that's that, that's uh, come on and sing my song. And it's also it's all my longlinel Richie and it's also what isn't it? Also hips Don't Lie? No, Yeah. One of the songs we play is hips Don't Lie. It's um, uh things on them. It's I think it's Jay Balvin. It's yeah, yeah, I think you're right. It's hips to Lie. It's the same phrasing. One of the songs we play is is hips a Lie. It's the same phrasing. I think it's that one for next week. We'll know which one it is, or we'll tweet it. But one of those. Okay. So do you think by the way, it depends when you ask see if you're a traditionalist. I feel like she just imparted herself, parted herself into that song. She's just like, here's a hit. Everyone loves this song. It's just I'm gonna do this well. I don't think you just put it, although I will tell you it is for Hurricane relief that efforts go for Puerto Rico. I understand there's that. I think, you know, the way Bieber jumped in on Desposito and he doesn't really Desposito, sorry, not zero, the way he doesn't really speak Spanish, but he did little Spanish. I think Beyonce did it. I don't look, I'm not I don't speak fluent Spanish. To me, as a non Spanish speaking person, she sounded pretty good. I'm sure if you speak Spanish you might think differently, but it sounded okay to me. No, no, I'm not touching her on the way she puts just words. She just had. She just he's just pregnant, she's recovering from giving birth. So she just a little somethings like I want to be part of something big, and this song is big for the people people. Yeah, there's some people that complain about that version when we play I know, like, why are you playing this? So they blame as if she woke up in the morning and said I want you listen. This is how it works. The record label says, oh, this song is a big hit, but people are maybe getting get tired of it. How can we freshen it up? Right, like, who would sound good? It's like it's when it's like when they took John Legend all of me and they made the dance remix, right, that's not John Legend most likely saying I'm gonna do a dance remix that somebody came in and put some When when A Dell's song had a dance remix, A Dell was like, I'm not going to remix my song. Somebody remix it well, and sheering thinking out loud, same thing. There's like a dance version of that, right, I think we play it, so don't blame the artist. What happens is people people go, if I hear that song one more time, I'm gonna kill myself. I'm gonna go crazy. So then they freshen it up, and people who were tired of it like, oh, it's a little different now, and people who who are not tired of it get annoyed. True, I'm not annoyed. I like all music. I'm up country. I hate country music. Don't start. That's not that I hate it, I just know it's not. I will say one thing. I've become a lot the way country has become more mainstream lately. I I lately it's about a fifteen years now, No, I know, but you know, but it's it's really crossing over some of those like Sam Hunt, I like some of these some of these tracks that are coming out which one get more, God makes get more. Look, there's a lot that Look, there's a lot of countries. You know what it is. I think country music now doesn't do it. It's the hard rock from the eighties where it's like it's more rock with a country vibe than country, like traditional country. It's more like these guys are rock stars. They really are. When you go to see a country show, they're up there like they're rock stars. Like when when eighties metal were like the Motley Crue was like you know, guns and Roses. These guys are rock stars now because there are no there aren't a lot of rock stars anymore as far as like mainstream popular. Yeah, no, no disrespect by the way, you know two country music fans. I'm not not trying to diss you, just it's not it's not my thing, al right, not my thing. I came from the I came from, you know, New York. This is a rhythmic town. Really, you're yes, mostly rhythmically it is now and I'm a rock fan, and it's not really a rock town. It really is not. It's a rhythmic, multicultural dance, rhythmic contown. But when a country arts, when a country artist comes to New York, they sell out, they do. But part of it is is fifteen million people in the tri state area. So there's bound to be enough people to fill any genre. Truth. Now, what's that band, Passion Pit? Passion Pit, good band. But they're not like Metallica, but they're but they sat up Madison Square Guards SODA's um And when we get like Phoenix K pop, the Korean x Phoenix forget crazy. So to say country sells out that there must be a lot of country people in the New York area, there's a lot of everything. Yeah, Romeo Santos, people who throw poop at each other, there's a lot of people who do ye, people who like there's just a lot of people here by sheer number of people here, so there's always like people who go, I know a lot of people feel that way. Yeah, because a lot of people I know a lot of people agree with me. Yes, at a fifteen million people, if three thousand agree with you, that's a lot of people combat to fifteen million people. I'm sorry you're gonna hear Beyonce in the song. Everyone thinks that I know everyone I know. So so next week, by the way, um, can I rant about the pool store next week? Yeah? Yeah? Can we wait till next week? I gotta rant because the customer service was so bad, but I caught them at it. I also might have episode okay, and I'll so I might have to call out my father next week, that dick, what do you do now? Don't call Tony? We got an email from what do you normally call him? Father? No, you don't. It's like the episode of the Brady came in and started calling them his parents, Mike and Carroll. Yeah, that's bullshit. There are people that like that. Does your daughter call you da? She didn't really talk to me. That? Does your other What about your other two daughters? No, my middle one and little one will call me dad when they're not mad at me. Did they ever say David? No, my oldest one is like, hey made you disrespect. No, it's not that she's just in us in a place where she's she's gonna do a face. Well, she's you know, she's trying to get into adulthood. I get it. It's a bumpy ride. Bumpy ride. Yeah. So anyway, don't ever call him by my first name. My I'm not into that. Okay, my dad? Uh he uh. We got a text message. You call your father daddy. That's what I was getting to. When you want the phone, mommy, he said, Mommy, put daddy on the phone. Yes, but I don't call him daddy to his face. You don't call mommy to mommy to your face. It's when you're talking about them to someone else. So just now you should have referred to your daddy and get me daddy on the phone. No, no, no, no, no, Only to my other my inner family. Like so I'll say to my brother, hey Stephen, where did daddy call? But if I if I talked to you Brody and say, hey Brodie, did my dad call? Very different? How did your brother end up with a non Italian name? Stephen? Yeah? Was he Stephano? No, he's always Steven because your mother's Rosalie. No she's not. She's Roseanne. Roseanne. Sorry it was Roseanne, but no, Steve. Father's Anthony. You're Anthony. Stephen is an attack and the sister's name Jennifer. Oh again, Stephen and Jennifer what their Italian names? No they're not. Jennifer is Italian. Jennifer not so much. What I was saying before you rudely interrupt me, Brod, was that we got a text message to the radio station the other day said hey, so Scary's father came in and saying, you know, he tried to throw his way around by saying, hey, did you know my son is Scary Jones. So I'm trying to figure out where was this? It was area? What is this happening at a nightclub? We don't know, That's the thing. The the text message was vague and it came from area code six one, which is Suffolk County. So someone on Long Island. My father must have went into someone's place of business and somehow my name gratuitously came up. So I kind of want to call this dude up because I got the phone number of the guy, and I say, hey, I want I want to get to the bottle of this. Maybe we should talk to him on the podcast. I'm like, what did my father do? And how did my name come up in conversation? Because all the guy said was yeah, And that's funny because Scary Jones. Dad did at once by saying, Hey, my son is Scary Jones. I don't know if it was a table at a restaurant. I don't know if it was something for free. I give me this part from this from my car. But here's the best part. I want to not only talk to the guy, but I want to call my father and I want to put my father on the phone with the guy. Here's what I think we should do. I think we should call the guy off the podcast, record it right, then edit it with the where he talks about your dad haven't ready in the system. Then we call your dad as part of the podcast, play the call and then when he says, I don't even do that, and then play the part of the call specially, so we play the whole call back. Oh so you just want to catch my father in a lot, so we write, so we play the call back for the for the podcast, and then we get your father on the phone, and when he says, I know you're talking about Anthony, Yeah, we play the exact clip where the guy goes, your father was in here? Is that the way to plan or it would be better it would have on the phone and have them confront each other, because that would be awkward and funny. It would be. But if the guy doesn't deliver it right, or if your father gets mad at him, he's like, listen, your funk. I didn't wasn't there. I don't know. I'm kind of first of all, I'm kind of curious to know what situations see how already know my mom can never go anywhere and not tell the people where I work because she's like, I'm something. I'm just proud of you. I go, mom. So, so this is how our story start. How is your damn mom? Oh? I was at the beauty parlor and the girl who cut my hair I went to a new girl. She since they're big fan. Mom? How to come up with? Um? I was on the bus and a funny story. The bus driver was very impressed that I'm your mother? Okay, how right? Uh? Mom? Why would that come which? It just came up. It wasn't like I was why how does that come up? And coming up with a bus driver? So where my mother had a minor surgery last week out patient. But you have to sit in this um. It looks it's like an emergency room while you wait to get prepped and you go. So she all, she has a bed a curtain, and then someone else has a bed and a curtain, a bed and the curtain. It's like an assembly line. So I'm talking about because I'm tired, not because my story. My story is a fascinating My mother loves you. Be nice. Okay. So I'm talking to my mother, and you know, we don't talk names, like when your boss's name Elvis, you can't talk about Elvis because everyone knows who you're talking about. If you say, if you have a boss, your boss, his name is Mike, you go, hey, Mike was a dick today. But if I go Elvis, mom, and Elvis is a dick today, not that Elvis ever dick. But what if I said that the people the next time we're going. So I'm talking about my mother and I don't know. I'm there about ten minutes and I see a female head peek around the curtain and she just excuse me. I couldn't help it over here, Um are you David Brody from the Elvis de Rancho? Of course? And before I could answer, my mother says, I didn't say anything. So I said yes that, yes, I am. Just come over and meet my husband. You know what, very this is their way of being appreciative and actually being proud of it. My mother is very proud. But here's the thing. She didn't tell them who I was. And then the woman goes, you gotta come over and meet my my husband, and she makes me come around the curtain and he's all tubed up. He's got a thing in his mouth and everything. His name was Mark, very nice guy. But I hear my mother, but tell him I didn't tell you. So she was very funny the one time she didn't. They recognize my voice, by the way, when you're talking about names that stand out. I do this with my Brooklyn friends. Whenever we're out together. They'll say scary, scary. I'm like, don't call me that, especially for talking. I just don't want to be identified unless they're gonna give you free dinner, unless right, shut up, dick. So, so my friends have this thing now where they call me Mr. Chips. I don't know why. So like, hey Chips, Mr asked Ronnie. Ronnie Bald Freakers in the studio right next door to us was staring at him to the glass realize now, anyone who hears he'll he'll tell him as the chips and like, hey, it's scary. He'll say, I'm like, what's the code word? What do you here? In one second? Come here, Ronnie, Ronn he comes over the butt. Come on. Ronnie's running a pre recorded show next door. So there are certain times when he's putting it in the auto putting. He's son of a bit. He's taking minute. Yeah, Ronnie, Ronnie. He'll tell you straight up. Ronnie from our our neighborhood. Ronnie is from Brooklyn. He's a Brooklyn boy to ye. By the way, we've invited him repeatedly to come into the podcast. Yes, but he's always he's always running the show next door when we're doing our podcast. Always he's not coming. No, he's actually talking, he's doing the weather. What did he do He's not coming in. He's totally ignoring us. I thought he was getting up to come in here if he was kind of come in. He's such a prick. He's busy. Anyway, Chips, he'll tell you just Anthony. They call me Mr Chips. Anthony, could like, are you like getting a lot of potato chips? Too many syllables? Do you eat a lot of chips around? First, it's just you don't play poker. It came from a trip that we went to d C. And there's a book called Mr. Chips Goes to Washington or yea, so it came from that trip. Okay, we my friends do that. We have a lot of inside jokes. Me and my friends could have another podcast. Whoa, whoa? Did you not read my tweet? Friends and I, as I actually tweeted today, You can't start a sentence? What the word me? Apparently you didn't see my tweet? What about the song me in my Shadow? I put that in the tweet. I put that in the tweet. It says unless just singing me in my show, don't or I mean myself and I mean myself and I by Dala solos from the soul Right. You know what they get, uh, poetic license. You can do that in a song. Grammar is not important. You don't get to do that. Oh you know what about you know? Hold on? Hold on? He started sentence with you, Yes, you suck here. I want a great the great tweeter. I want to read. I don't want to miss this one. In response, um, are we rambling? At this point, no hold on. Melissa Rose tweeted me and said, don't forget Tarzan. He starts with meh mew Jane. Yeah, so okay, Tarzan gonna the story, all right? Hit the ball, hit the board, hit the button. No, that's all I got for you, Mr Chips, Mr Chips, and my friends calling Mr Chips because they don't understand. They're like, nobody knows that you're scary. Come on, we can say scary only one. I'm sorry. You can't say scary. He can't say Elvis. There's certain names. You're right, I was what I was doing was I was validating your point, Brody, And as a result, my friends make fun of me, and now I'm Mr Chips. Hold on, bastcast, Mr Chips. That's for next week, Brody, Mr Chips. Hashtag Mr Chip hashtag Brody, Mr Chips. We love you guys. We're gonna see you next week. Alright. Come on, Bertie Ah, you did something right. Happy weekend wrong. That's where we lived. Brooklyn Boys, Brooklyn Boys, Brockles
Anyway, you can always email us the Brooken Boys podcast at gmail dot com. Always get in touch with us, by the way on Twitter at Brooklyn Boys. WTF until further notice, yea, until we get You can go to Instagram where we actually have the Brooklyn Boys and scary is posted nothing. We have a great pick picture of Jack face page Facebook page at the Brooklyn Boys. Oh, I do encourage everyone. Please keep those reviews coming. On Apple iTunes, we still haven't cracked the top two hundred. Now we're looking for that. We want to crack the top two hundred and we need more downloads, so more people need to subscribe. To tell your friends to subscribe, and if you listen to us on our heart, also subscribe on iTunes. It's very important. And while you're there, give me a nice review for Walkers and talkers because I've got twenty right now, which is not a lot, but it's twenty fantastic reviews for walkers and talkers. Perfect.
