If you're just joining us on the off air show, um ions in and then I met Sir Ivan about four years that's right. It's a podcast cast. You have to go there to minute just in case. People listen to podcasts from beginning there that there's no reason to reintroduce. I went downstairs. I met him in this crazy limousine. I brought him upstairs. Now, tell us how you met Sir Ivan. Several years ago, I met Sir Ivan at his Hampton's home, which is a castle. Um. I was a buddy of mine named Lee was djaying at a club that night, and so my friend Angelie and I stopped by to pick up Lee on his way to his club gig, and Sir Ivan is there by the castle. I stopped by the castle and I'm like, this guy lives in the castle. And there was this great party going on. It was like it was everything that was in every movie, cartoon and in your dream that you could ever have imagined, like so so so so. Ivan then said, hi, scary. You know. He sat me down. He's like, dude, I'm also a musician. And then he started playing some stuff from me and I'm like, oh my god, this track. Listen to this surriving. I have to ask you for now, our audience, if you live in the Trusted area, if you ever drive down the stanton On Expressway, there is a house as your head towards the arizono, there's a house to the right that looks like a castle. Right, it's got like that the top of it looks like, you know, somebody would be standing up on top and keeping guard is at that house that we're talking about you live in that That house is the only castle in the Hampton's so you legitimately live in a castle. So explain. So that's that's how we got to meet. Bathrooms. Where is there a castle in the Hamptons eleven bathrooms? So why don't you explain? The first of all, let the guy talk. He hasn't said three words, have any bathrooms? He out of his castle? But why do you know the house of talking about off the satell Expressway. It looks like a castle. Yea, I always in that house. So, sir Ivan, now that we've we've sang the hook of Yellow Submarine and now people are we gotta get to know you a little bit. Explain. Explain the castle situation. Why do you have a castle? And what what what's going on there? Let's explain it from the beginning up with the castle. I like doing unique things. I'm an artist. So my brother and I almost twenty years ago, decided, when we're gonna build a dream home together, that it would have any every amenities. And I decided that it should look like a castle instead of like all the other homes in the Hamptons. So how many rooms are in this castle? Probably twenty something. It's not the amount of the rooms. It's enormous that the layout is just goes up down around and when you go across the roof you'll see I got lost in It feels like you're living in a castle like Robin like Robin Hood, like like you look out it and you see like Sherwood forest, and I think it's like it. Don't insult the castle and call it a house exactly now. You bought you built this castle. This wasn't a castle that moved into you know. My brother and I built it from scratch, design decorated it. Yeah, and each room. Could you explain the different types of rooms that are there, because well, the entire style my brother and his uh girlfriend at the time with his wife is not his ex wife. They spent it was like a labor of love and they went out there every weekend and they worked on all the details. And so it's completely medieval. You know. There has uh knights in shining armor, has giant gates, it has a mode and I've seen it. It has a moat castle. How do you have a moat? How do you have a castle without a moat? What goes around? You know, it's it's a foam mode. It doesn't go, it doesn't go and sixty degrees around, but still at you get any gators in the moat? Nobody? We have fish for vision frogs. Where are the pictures? Can people sell over Google image? Exactly? Really? Can we do a podcast from the castle? Can we come to the castle and a podcast idea? You go, we're gonna there's gonna be a follow up on this all wait, you'll let us come to the cast. So it has griffins and has dragons. But what goes on here in the summertime is you have a full working staff of people. Correct that that are pretty much all there and there. You know, there's catering, there's food, there's drink. There's a pool party going on. Could you explain to the vibe that you've created party over the years at your castle and every Sunday it's become the hottest place because it's a pool party, barbecue for about a hundred and fifty people. Right now, how do you get in fight into such a thing. If you're listening, one promoter brings over a dozen models, another promoter brings over this month before another. It's a party. It is a party, now, how and you said there are eleven bedrooms bathrooms and how many bedrooms? I think it's not too master bedrooms, right yeah? Who staff? And I'm a loft think at nine. So Greg t is just got the cat. This place is unbelievable. It is just how he is describing it. I mean, this is a legitimate castle with the massive driveway and the pool, the tennis courts, the purple chairs outside, and this is unbelievable, this place. Yeah. And by the way, it's been on TV. Right, Oh my god, We've been on TV in every country in the world. So what are some shows in America that you've been featured on. I know there was something on v H one a while back, right, Yes, it was called The Fabulous Life of the Hamptons, The Fabulous Life of the Hamptons, and you were featured with your castle, correct, and what other things? Well, there was a show on the travel trying to call Grand Castles of America. Ye, there was a show on the Destination America on my Discovery call the Epic Castles, Epic Castles. We gotta go there, We gotta go here. You sublet at the castle? No, but for a special special, special special events, I might consider it. How long have you been living in this castle? My next music video, by the way, and the first time I've ever used it will be will be shot at the cast I'm working on a music video. Can I rent out the castle? Oh? You got it yet? And I want I want to look at these pictures. Can you look a picture? Look at the picture of this place? Yeah, look at the picture. So anyway that people can't hear it, that is a legitimate castle. Yeah, you got again Surving's Castle. So so Sundays you have these pool parties where you know, some you know people get the show up. You know, not not everybody, but you know, but it's it's a lot of more than hamburgers and how dogs. It's a lavish it's a lavish feast. Can I ask you where do you come from? Like, you know everybody's from some way, So so where did you you know? Where did you start? How did you get to get a castle? You don't just wake up and you don't wake up in a castle. I had what happened? I come from family with a very interesting background. Okay, so can you give me a little look to me everything about yourself, but even give me a little something. My father was one of the most brilliant businessmen that ever lived. Uh. He survived Auschwitz concentration camps in the Holocaust German jew and and fifty nine of my relatives were murdered by the Nazis. My heart amazing, I'm sorry. Comes to America, barely speaks English. He's an unskilled laborer with two forty dollars in his pocket. Unbelievable. He comes like a traveling salesman like Willie Lowman and Death of a salesman. Has one sales job after another, doubles the sales of sales, quadruples the sales, saves his money, starts investing in the stock market and becomes like an expert entities. He's undervalued companies and this and that. He gets other people to back him because they see how brilliant he is. He winds up taking over an oil company which was then on the American Stock Exchange, then brings it over to the New York Stock Exchange. Then he uses the oil company to take over a commercial bank in New Jersey. Oh my god. This is in the sixties when traditionally oil and banking with two of the most anti Semitic businesses in America. But the Jewish guy purvised the Holocaust come to America, and of all businesses that go into two that are completely restricted. So so you you're raised like like a normal American laid in in a house on a cold stack, and you have a family, and you you get a little older, and then you're never quite a normal American kid when your father comes from that. But yeah, but yes, yes, but that's correct. I went to a public school, at the college, I went to law school, and I did a lot of things like that. But meanwhile, my father built an empire, an oil and banking, and twelve he passed away. Uh, thirteen years ago. Twelve years ago, the family sold the bank. It was called the Trust Company of New Jersey. It was headquartered in Journal Square in Jersey City. When we sold it, it was approximately four point two billion dollars in assets. God, I had a hundred branches, all within an hour of Manhattan. It was. It was a very valuable franchise. So when North Fork Bank, which at the time we were the fourth largest commercial bank in New Jersey, north Fork Bank wanted to get their entry, get their foot in the door in New Jersey. We were the perfect bank to buy. So North Fork Bank, which was the sixteenth largest financial institution in America, bought the trust company in New Jersey. We were then out of the banking business. And then then two years later North Fork Bank sold their bank, the Capital One. That's how it was. A little fish gets eaten by the medium fish, eaten by the biggest sponsor names, and that's how we got out of the banking from that time. From that second on, I decided to pursue what I always loved, doing what I wanted to do since I was a child, but didn't do. Yeah, since I've been singing since I'm five years old. So yeah, So he became a recording artist. Song heard, well, there was a clubs song a while back that he did a cover of, you know San Francisco with Flowers in your Hair? Right, I might have heard it. I'm not sure. I don't have that. We're gonna place. You do have a version of it on the album that right, there's an outright exactly it. San Francisco is on there. Okay, so okay, and then we're gonna be playing Imagine shortly, which is your latest release here. So you do a lot of cover songs because that's what I do, because because my father's background, I've formed a charity called the Peaceman Foundation, and it helps people that suffer from PTSD. And there we can go to the Peaceman Foundation from there and see the fifty charities or so that I've either raised money for donating myself out of You're a very charitable guy. I've seen a lot of the stuff that you do. There's not many people like you that that's very nice that you continually give back to the community, now, I mean you really do. And not is that but to the world, to you know, to the nation, to all these charities, no world, but you do. So that's great. Yeah, that is really cool. Are you so so right now? With the Peaceman Foundation? How long has this been been going on? About ten years? Ten years? Yeah, there's about half a million dollars. Where did you get them? Half of the half a million? I'll tell you that in a second. On I gonna answer one question in the time he's dressed, I would say, you're you're like, can I can I chime in here, sir Ivan, where do you get the balls? Like? Father? Father? I'm saying I don't mean that, like in a derogatory way, like it takes a certain sort of attitude to walk around in the outfit that you are currently wearing and drive around in the limo that you are currently driving in. What is about I don't give an f I'm surviving and this is this is may Man. You have to explain it. Paint the picture for the listeners. And he's a white white suit like an elviw like like and Elvis Pressley. That's really I have of having an every color every case with rhinestones and a cape. There's the cape is attached to like an actual like silk cape, tour jackets custom made fascinating here capes are in one of a kind and are they Yeah, So the answer to your question, answer to answer, Batman has the batmobiles, your peaceman that needed the peacemobile. It's an amazing vehicle. I will give you that. I designed it, had it wrapped, and now it brings a lot of joy and pleasure to a lot of people. There are so many people downstairs taking pictures of it right now as we're walking away. There are people outside like like trying to lean on it on the hood of the car, take pictures with it. It's fantastic. So you get invited it to a holiday dinner? Are you wearing that outfit? Like what are you know, special occasion red carpets? Yeah, and when I perform on stage because yeah, he's a musician. Whatever. It's a cape friendly environment. So what do you wear when you're not wearing the cape? Something comfortable, alright, because a drink cloth right less is more alright. So, especially in this hundred we heat here. This is the limo downstairs. Here's the pictures up right here. So the piece, man, So how did so why the sixties motif love and combining that with the medieval Uh, you know, good question. That's what I want. Love the sixties and the medieval thing. That's just I mean, it's my home. So it's the only castle in the world has two giants own. He signs from the sixties. Oh yeah, yeah, designed into the into the pool deck and and in the front driveway on the on the image that I pulled out, you could see it as you're walking around the backyard. Matter of fact, by the pool is a gigantic peace sign inside the actual the pavers exactly, there's one in the front, one of the back. Amazing, amazing, yeah, and just like uh, it's just like the person there's always a piece side on the front around my neck, and there's the one on the back of the cave. But he's such a really crazy you really are, I mean, you know, running your own foundation, you know, donating money to causes and people that need it. You know, the freedom that you have and I guess the joy that you're trying to spread into people's lives and in the crazy situation that we are living in, that you really are a slice of just an amazing person, slice of Americana. I think you're fantastically It certainly has become the number one uh PTSD is becoming one more important because every time someone is bullied, Yeah, it can be a traumatic experience. The show Dan Agent wants to come suicide from it because being tortured the TRP is not a time for music. The truth. The troops coming back of overseas, of course, there's they'll never be the same. They have that they need therapy and they have they need help because what they've this and the atrocity as they've seen and now with going on every other day, another airport at another shopping center, another another play, another nightclub. I mean, it's a sad situation. So PTSD people have to learn about it, be about to deal with it, and I'm trying to help as many people as possible. That's honestly surviving. I thank you so much for everything. You said and everything you do, and this is really just fantastic. People. When people think Hampton's billionaire, they think pompous. When they think no, they think women walking around bikini's. Well that you're not. You're not helping me because when I'm trying, I'm trying to think, I'm trying to make an analogy. When you order pizza to the castle, do you just give an address out of you just say, just send it to the castle. Bring it to the castle. The locals have heard of me. Finish my point? Even is the opposite of the humble, generous These aren't where do you normally associate with Hamptons and castle and craziness. But he does have a fun party wild side to him. But he's very down to earth about it, right right, So you want to send him to the cast. Listen already the stories that he's already told. I didn't expect to hear this. Look when I when I go downstairs, you tell me to do upstairs. I see the limbo, I see the man. I have to admit to him that I'm like, okay, this is gonna be a guy that you know that. I can't wait to hear these stories it's gonna be off balance and completely weird. Yeah, yeah, this is gonna be like a screwball interview. What's going on? Right? But you initially and I apologize for that now that I know a little bit more about you, I apologize for judging you, because that's what I thought I really was going to get out of this interview. You can't. You can't judge a book by its cover. I wear the cave. But then you can't judge me by the cover. But after you gotta look you gotta look me up to find you have to ask the questions you have me on the show. Yeah, you can start to wear that cave where it would pride, do everything because you do so much. You deserve that. You asked me a question before and I didn't get to answer. Yeah, and that was he said, why are the sixties? Yeah, And the answer is very simple. That's the only time in time that the entire world evolved in a very positive way. It's when nine the best it's it's it's when civil rights, yeah rights, women's rights, children's rights, environmental rights all became issues yea, or or it was going in the wrong direction. Yeah, and that turn and people started to see the light. Changed the way they viewed the world, changed the way they viewed other people, and have made a big difference. Nineteen sixty nine, that's what we had. We had wood Stock, We went to the movie. There was a lot of stuff that was prevailing for a stock. No, but I was at Watkins Glen a few years later for The Grateful Dead, the Omen Brothers in the band. It's come on, man, come on, come on something playing the news already there you go? Yeah, do you go fake? Its surviving? Take us back those years. He's getting the van pass the past, you know, the sif give me a girl. But you know what surving right there? There was so much going on between Russia and US, and there was we know, they were just getting out of a depression. There was so much happening. And don't forgot the Vietnam, right, you have Vietnam going on, yeah, Yoko ono, and you had John Lennon and you had all that happening. You had what's stock going on You're the protests happen. You did the Jets, The Jets won the world and won the Super Bowls. There was a big fight and George Frasier all those happening. Ninete sixty right now, so arguably the best year. You bring up John Lennon, yokah, no, uh, here's so so that brings you to your next single, because you did say you are a musician, and we've had some songs that we're gonna you know, you have an album mount what's the name of the album, by the way, the album is called Peaceman Shines. Peaceman Shines, and could you tell us a little bit about the proceeds for the album? Will they go to the Peaceman Foundation and then we distribute them to anti bullying charities and Wounded Warriors and other charities that are people that suffer from PTSD or organizations that are doing research to try and treat people with PTSD. There's an organization called MAPS and the m apsy it's like Multi psycho Pharmacolic College. You look it up called MAPS. So yeah, what they do they do the best work in the world. They're the ones that got medical marijuana legalized and they're the ones that one day will get m d M A mexsancy legalized because they're showing that these drugs are not harmful for you, that they're in fact therapeutic and they're the cure for some of the biggest problems the humanity has. They're done by they're Harvard, they're Harvard m d s. Studies that are done and PhD s and it's medical research, and they're proving just like they're finding out the marijuana helped people ease their pain if they're suffering from cancer and curable diseases. You are signed the same thing else, so that there's an organization that I'm very supportive of it. You are so called maps. You should look into it because it's going to change the world. You can't get better than that, right, pictures. Since I covered the song, I covered the photo to take a look at the photographer friend to take the exact same shot. It looks I'm nude wrapped around Mina. Mina happened to be from Tokyo, so I call her my, my, my Yoko, right, and the song imagine of course, So you covered that, and this is gonna be so I even we're gonna play that here. So the proteins proceeds go to all of the charities that he just mentioned, especially profits, yes, right, that profits right of course. Alright, So it's part of the Peaceman Foundation. Look that up. Look up all of these these parties too. Maybe you you know you'll be generous enough to uh, you'll be lucky enough to be a part of one of them. And then then then you, you know, you give some money, donate to the cause. What I like. What I like most has been the reaction to this song, Yeah, from DJ's All Over the World.
