It was the new Hyde Park Fire depart that I didn't say how to get paid a new Hyde Park Fire Department. The firehouse they had like a few people, like a knots of Columbus thing, cafeteria style tables. Everything was donated, from the food to everything, and they have all these auctions and what they're trying to do is raise money for the wounded warriors. Now, did you know that there are a lot of warriors and people that have been involved with you know, a lot of you know, the war and things like that. They're around the country in hospitals the war. No, no, no, they've been listened. They've been involved with all kinds of stuff involved the war. But what my point is that the people at around the country who go visit them are so important in these veterans lives because a lot of times these veterans are hold up in these hospitals around the country and their own families don't get to see them for the holidays, because if they can't afford to go see them, or they can't or they just forget about them. So a veteran who's stuck in a hospital bed to see these wounded warrior UH volunteers from places like the New Hyde Park Fire Department and wherever in America that that has wounded Warrior operations to see them come and show up. Put such a smile on their face, and it really they spend time with the veterans in the hospitals, so they bring the party to them and they're just so excited to see like friendly faces. And we don't realize, I know this is not really my podcast, come on and say something. We don't realize that these people put their lives on the line for us every single day. When they come back and they have to start to be a civilian again, it is not easy. Things are different in their heads, in their minds, and sometimes it's really hard to adjust. And that's so this specific firehouse in Long Island Park Fire Department, they're raising money to go to the veterans, to go on these trips, to get to the veterans and visit them and do so. How can some of our off their head family, how can they help out? Um? Who could they reach out? Because you know he's you know, he's a military guy. Aunch of people. Right tomorrow, I'm gonna have a I'm gonna have a couple of Um, I'm gonna have a couple of websites for you guys. Great. That's what I did on Saturday night. And it was like a five hour event. They auctioned off get this Navy Seal Team six, the crew that was responsible for for killing Yeah, one of the Navy's seal guys autographed a fire department helmet but military music in there. Come on. It went for this is a serious moment. It went for four thousand dollars. Yeah, I mean that's that's how dedicated people are. And and and a veteran who's who is now you know rehability. He's in a rehabilitation right now. He painted made a painting and they showed a slide show him making this painting about nine eleven. That painting was on canvas. Was there at the auction It went for like four or five grand. That's awesome on Saturday night, and all the money, like like over of the proceeds all go right exactly right back into the charity. So it's not one of these like bogus. That's the sort of appearance I would like to go to you with. Yeah, that's like I figured I need to do more good for the world. I think you need a list of both. We need to balance. Instead of crawling into a fetal position and drinking a bottle of line on the weekends, I want to get out there and help people. When you know what you did when you do these runs on the weekend, it's none of your business. When you do these runs and stuff the sharity call me say hey, run, come run with me. I will think next time. I will think of you, what you and what's all you do. My family is a very first of all, my family is a very big pro military family. Okay, my my grandfather was in World War Two. Is in Okinawa, said pan Tarawa. He's been written in books and everything. My next tattoo is gonna is gonna pay homage to him. I have his dog tag from the military. I'm tattooing it right here on my right arm, right by the muscle. His dog tag number dedicated to John cool Leg who fought in the war. Both my my, my, my fucked up father, he was in the goddamn army, and then my both my uncle's, so my whole family. So I respect the military and the veterans and everything they've ever done. I know exactly what they do. I spent the night on on the the Oak Noll when we came in or for fleet week, so I totally relate and get get down with thet with the veterman's completely. So your weekend, my weekend, My weekend was good. It was it wasn't bad. You know what. My my my kid plays soccer and they won. So now we went tenan Oh, you know, I'm uh, you know it was I'm very proud father. You know I love soccer, so that was a big deal to me. So my daughter's on a team. They're not Tenano. They went to tenan O. They finished the half season. I'll defeating the coach. Well, you know, imn't beat that. I keep me the head coaches. I don't have a time, So I'm not the head coach. I'm like the assistant coach, equipment manager. I'm like assistant parrot coach. I'm like, it's not it's it's it's it's weird, it's awkward. It takes too much time to explain it. I can't be the head coach because I was one of the time, so that we have a head coach and it's a trainer. No, she plays in like an academy level team, so they run things a little bit differently. There's like trainers, but like you know, it's like a dragon, like a dragon here anyway, listen. Then I learned how to put out the team. Okay, the home del you ate and j X dash, that's the team and very complicated. I also learned how to put up high hats in my basement cause I'm working on a basement myself, like drums and symbols. No high hats like lights in the ceiling, which, by the way, high hat to day. Can you guys come down to my house and help me work in the basement. I'm gonna need some of your help. Are you supposed to put the bury the bodies in the crawls? You guys are gonna go into the cross, So why can you guys come to the house and go into the crawl space.
