00:00:10
Speaker 1: Getting sliced reactions.

00:00:11
Speaker 2: Talk who's wrong, who's right.

00:00:13
Speaker 1: This podcast all depends on you.

00:00:16
Speaker 3: Talkers are phenomenal.

00:00:17
Speaker 4: Baby.

00:00:18
Speaker 1: Tell all your friends you're good beyond.

00:00:20
Speaker 5: It's slice time.

00:00:21
Speaker 2: Free dessert.

00:00:22
Speaker 6: Welcome to Slice Time.

00:00:24
Speaker 7: For Brooklyn Boys, episodes 388 and beyond.

00:00:27
Speaker 8: My goodness.

00:00:38
Speaker 1: We're back.

00:00:39
Speaker 9: We're back is right, man. And I got to say, Brody, we are brimming. We are at the brim of talkbacks. We are like, they're not brimming.

00:00:47
Speaker 1: We're rimming. No, wait a second. No, no, we're not. Wait a second. I didn't mean it like that.

00:00:54
Speaker 10: Uh, yeah.

00:00:55
Speaker 9: So listen, we got a lot to cover and a little bit of time, so we want to get as many as we can.

00:01:00
Speaker 1: And here we go.

00:01:01
Speaker 9: And, uh, yeah, this is the show about the show. This is not the main show. This, if you're listening for the first time, this is the talkback show. This is the feedback on the, you know, past shows. Uh, one thing we will tell.

00:01:10
Speaker 1: You back a little and listen to three 88. go back a little bit.

00:01:13
Speaker 10: Exactly.

00:01:14
Speaker 1: All right. Now we'll come back here and hear everybody's input.

00:01:17
Speaker 9: One thing I'll tell you right now, as we get underway, a lot of these got cut off. So we, we told you, we gave you a date to start leaving talkbacks and some of you did not listen.

00:01:27
Speaker 1: Well, they may have left talkbacks for three 87 and then didn't hear our message till three 88. This is true.

00:01:32
Speaker 9: All right.

00:01:33
Speaker 1: We'll get down to business as Tiesto once said, hit it.

00:01:37
Speaker 5: Whenever I hear the phrase, I want to run to you.

00:01:40
Speaker 11: I think of Whitney Houston.

00:01:42
Speaker 7: I want to run to you.

00:01:47
Speaker 1: Maybe I'm crazy.

00:01:48
Speaker 5: And people, please stop being mean to Brody. It's really just so crass to call up and just say mean things to him.

00:01:58
Speaker 1: Like, come on.

00:01:59
Speaker 11: That's just shitty.

00:02:01
Speaker 1: You're the best.

00:02:02
Speaker 2: Thank you.

00:02:03
Speaker 1: Yeah. If you're going to do that, email him instead. Email him shitty things.

00:02:12
Speaker 12: Scary is not too wrong also about the whole air chilled chicken fiasco. Brody, you're actually my benefit from actually buying it because I try to buy it when I can too. It's a little bit more expensive, but the air chilled chicken, they don't Put all that crap on it so it doesn't soak through and weigh heavier. So you're just buying straight up chicken. You're not buying chicken plus chemicals and water.

00:02:36
Speaker 1: That's right.

00:02:37
Speaker 12: If you look at the pricing, you'll see percentage per water added to it.

00:02:41
Speaker 1: Absolutely.

00:02:41
Speaker 9: This guy knows what he's talking about. Always buy air chilled chicken. The best quality you can get.

00:02:45
Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever. Okay.

00:02:48
Speaker 13: Gary, just because you asked your friends if a BLT is a sandwich doesn't mean you're right. Just means however many friends are in your group, say six, seven, that's just six to seven morons in that group.

00:03:00
Speaker 1: Six, seven. Six, seven.

00:03:03
Speaker 2: You know.

00:03:04
Speaker 1: Not doing that, sorry. Six, seven. Anecdotal evidence. What anecdotal evidence? I don't know what you're talking about there, Brody. You know what? I have a friend. He's a construction worker.

00:03:16
Speaker 7: Yep.

00:03:17
Speaker 1: Works really hard to feed his family. He says you're full of shit. So there you go.

00:03:21
Speaker 3: Hi, Brooklyn boys. Jen the Groomer here, listening to your review of the shampoo. Unfortunately, those are all idiots who didn't wash the shampoo all the way out of the coat. The number one thing about washing your dog is, number one, never ever use anything but baby shampoo or Tearless on the head. You never want to get soap in the eyes. Number two, wash all the soap out. If there's any bit of soap in the coat, your dog will have.

00:03:50
Speaker 3: After you get all the soap out all the way, you also have to make sure you dry them completely. The reason dogs get funky skin irritations is because their skin stays wet under their hair. So if you do not blow dry your dog, you have to make sure you towel dry them all the way or make sure they get a little sunshine and get some air in that coat.

00:04:12
Speaker 1: You hear that, Brody? Blow your dog. Yeah, that's not what I heard.

00:04:16
Speaker 6: Okay.

00:04:17
Speaker 14: Brooklyn boys is T white. Never been this far behind in the podcast, but I'm summer is my busy time. So I haven't really listened since June. I'm on episode three 84 and I was even further behind, but I keep avoiding doing the song game because I'm like, Oh, somebody else is going to get it. And someone hasn't been getting them. So now I'm just going to jump in episode three 84. You said dig a hole. Thank you, Jay-Z.

00:04:40
Speaker 1: That's a great one. I like that.

00:04:44
Speaker 15: Hey Brooklyn boys, this is MFuck. Brody, I wanted to check in with you. Have you seen that movie Dink on Apple TV? It's about pickleball. And it's funny to me so far, but I don't know how accurate it is. So I wanted to get your perspective. Is it accurate? Thanks.

00:05:05
Speaker 11: Love y'all.

00:05:06
Speaker 1: Okay. Didn't, didn't see dink. The reviews were astronomically bad. And, uh, whether, you know, as far as its accuracy, I mean, it's not supposed to be an accurate depiction of pickleball. It's supposed to be a jerk off tennis player who thinks he's better than everybody playing pickleball and he's going to dominate and he takes advantage of old people. I love that. Um, So, I mean, the premise is funny. I have not seen it. But as far as, it looks to me like a lot of people that can't play pickleball and a lot of creative editing make it look like their arms are moving.

00:05:40
Speaker 2: Hey, guys, it's me again. You know, Scoot.

00:05:43
Speaker 6: Yeah.

00:05:44
Speaker 2: You're wrong, man. BLT is definitely a sandwich, okay? It is a sandwich.

00:05:50
Speaker 7: I don't care what you say. The only thing is that it's... It's one of those bougie sandwiches, and that's probably where you started arguing. One of your buddies, when you were having brunch and you were sucking on your melon slats and drinking your mimosa, they probably ordered a BLT, and then that's when the argument started about it. That's not a real sandwich, and this and that, I can already hear you.

00:06:11
Speaker 9: There's nothing bougie about bacon, just bacon on a sandwich, bacon on bread.

00:06:18
Speaker 1: That's the furthest thing from bougie.

00:06:20
Speaker 7: Yeah, I can already see you there with your little backwards cap there in the brunch place arguing about why your buddy got a BLT and how it's not a real sandwich and you with your bra, bra, what's up, bra? You know, why did you order that, bra? You know, yeah, whatever, I don't, it's a sandwich, okay, man? But anyway, you know, what I think is not real.

00:06:42
Speaker 1: Is tomato soup.

00:06:44
Speaker 7: Because tomato soup, that's not a soup, man.

00:06:48
Speaker 2: And as you said, tomatoes are fruits, right?

00:06:51
Speaker 9: Tomato soup is not soup? I think it is. I think anything like hot and liquefied is soup. What qualifies as soup?

00:07:00
Speaker 1: Does that mean diarrhea is soup?

00:07:02
Speaker 9: Let's argue this on the next Brooklyn Boys episode, huh?

00:07:06
Speaker 1: What defines as soup?

00:07:08
Speaker 2: Yeah, how can you make a soup out of a.

00:07:12
Speaker 7: Fruit, even though a tomato really is a vegetable, you know, but that would be more like fruit juice or a smoothie, don't you think?

00:07:19
Speaker 2: Well, something to think about. But, you know, I want to send a big.

00:07:22
Speaker 7: Old shout out to Reggie. Hey, Reggie, what's going on there, you know? And, yeah, I got out of Facebook, but, you know, I'm there. I'm looking and commenting every now and then. But thanks for thinking about me and.

00:07:35
Speaker 2: Good to hear from you. We'll see you guys in adios.

00:07:39
Speaker 1: Bye, buckaroos. Thank you. Very nice.

00:07:43
Speaker 2: Hey, Brooklyn boys.

00:07:44
Speaker 3: I am calling under my new name, Dr.

00:07:47
Speaker 16: Licht.

00:07:48
Speaker 3: And I was at the DQ drive-thru and I was ordering food for my son. And I asked the person for milk.

00:07:56
Speaker 17: And she said, is white milk okay?

00:07:58
Speaker 18: Or do you want chocolate?

00:08:00
Speaker 4: And I thought of you, Brody.

00:08:02
Speaker 1: Slice for life. Well, what'd you say?

00:08:04
Speaker 19: White milk.

00:08:06
Speaker 1: What'd you say? White milk. That's Jason Derulo. And I forget the band that did it first.

00:08:13
Speaker 17: Touching me.

00:08:14
Speaker 9: Touching you.

00:08:19
Speaker 17: Sweet, broody, and scary. Touching that same scrotum.

00:08:27
Speaker 2: Yeah!

00:08:29
Speaker 1: What drug is she on? I want some of it. Yeah. Oh, Imogene Heap, by the way.

00:08:35
Speaker 11: Okay.

00:08:36
Speaker 1: Was the, was the, ooh, what'd you say?

00:08:39
Speaker 17: That's me, off-key and loving life. I left these last two on your channel, The Brooklyn Boys. If you didn't get one right before this about a urologist on the Elvis Duran channel, you're not getting those.

00:08:57
Speaker 1: We didn't get it.

00:08:57
Speaker 9: But then again, it also could have been cut off because of the cutoff date, because we've been away for a couple of weeks.

00:09:04
Speaker 1: We haven't checked these. Well, we need to check that because of what we definitely let.

00:09:08
Speaker 9: I'm telling you, some of them got deleted because I look today.

00:09:11
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:09:12
Speaker 7: So. Yeah.

00:09:14
Speaker 1: If you're in a Brooklyn Boys podcast, you hit the record button. We're going to get them. We think still it's unproven. Man from Ohio. First take it.

00:09:23
Speaker 10: Yeah.

00:09:24
Speaker 20: He don't come back from vacation. Anyways, so intersections are witchcraft on the corners of intersections, four ways. I know two people that do witchcraft for intersections. That's why they've got a lot of accidents and a lot of stuff going on.

00:09:47
Speaker 1: For example, I'm near one, too.

00:09:49
Speaker 20: I hear ambulance officers all the time.

00:09:52
Speaker 2: All right.

00:09:52
Speaker 1: Thank you, Liam. There's accidents and intersections, Liam, because cars are going in two different directions by definition of an intersection. Cars intersect with each other.

00:10:04
Speaker 10: Oh, from Jersey.

00:10:04
Speaker 19: Gary, you sound like a fucking, look at me, I'm an old man kind of guy.

00:10:08
Speaker 18: Look at me, I'm so old.

00:10:09
Speaker 6: Look at me, my nephew doesn't want to go. Bro, you didn't want to do that shit.

00:10:13
Speaker 9: With your parents.

00:10:14
Speaker 19: You didn't want to get in a fucking car without a car seat and drive to wherever.

00:10:17
Speaker 6: The fuck they were going.

00:10:18
Speaker 4: You didn't want to go with them when you were his age.

00:10:20
Speaker 6: I didn't fucking want to go.

00:10:22
Speaker 21: It's normal, bro.

00:10:24
Speaker 2: You're going to talk to him.

00:10:24
Speaker 18: And he's going to sound even more like the fucking uncle that wants to give him radios with knobs and shit that he doesn't know how to wear.

00:10:31
Speaker 9: He's referring to my nephew, Lucas, who was not happy or appreciative of the fact that we were going on a seven-day cruise.

00:10:39
Speaker 1: But I have an update on the Brooklyn Boys podcast on the next episode. Oh, I can't wait. I have to listen.

00:10:43
Speaker 9: Because we went to that Greek cruise and, well, you'll have to tune in later and find out.

00:10:49
Speaker 7: Brody, is it?

00:10:52
Speaker 1: Hippocrite.

00:10:53
Speaker 16: Brody is a hypocrite.

00:10:56
Speaker 7: Brody is a hypocrite.

00:10:59
Speaker 19: Brody is a hypocrite.

00:11:00
Speaker 2: Brody is a hypocrite.

00:11:02
Speaker 13: Getting mad at Gary for talking over you and interrupting you.

00:11:09
Speaker 22: But what do you do every freaking five seconds?

00:11:11
Speaker 13: Interrupt him and interrupt all the freaking slices.

00:11:14
Speaker 21: Brody is a hypocrite.

00:11:16
Speaker 1: I don't talk over anybody. Ha ha ha ha.

00:11:22
Speaker 7: Brooklyn.

00:11:23
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:11:25
Speaker 6: I'm at the gym.

00:11:27
Speaker 4: I think it's 386 MJ.

00:11:31
Speaker 7: Oh, I can't. No way.

00:11:34
Speaker 18: No, I'm not laughing.

00:11:35
Speaker 4: I want to throw up. There's no way now. I never I'm never going to a restaurant again after the thing with the sweat.

00:11:44
Speaker 11: Oh, fuck.

00:11:45
Speaker 2: Oh, God, I'm cursing.

00:11:47
Speaker 14: No.

00:11:47
Speaker 2: No, I can't.

00:11:49
Speaker 1: What is she talking about?

00:11:50
Speaker 7: Part two.

00:11:53
Speaker 4: All right, that's it. I know things go behind the scenes in restaurants, and we don't know what's going on. I could have been eating stuff or drinking stuff, you know, without knowing. But now hearing that, no, that's it. No, no. Homemade food, homemade soup, I don't care. Then again, you don't know what's going on in the factory anyway. Well, thanks for sharing. Now my stomach is really upset.

00:12:16
Speaker 7: Love you guys.

00:12:18
Speaker 6: All right, that was 386, I think. All right, bye.

00:12:21
Speaker 1: Love you. Why was she out of breath? She never really explained herself.

00:12:28
Speaker 13: I'll keep this one.

00:12:29
Speaker 1: A little shorter. Why did you say thank you, Ed Sheeran? She said, I don't care. I don't care. She also said, what's going on? And that's, hey, Marvin Gaye. And the four non-blondes.

00:12:42
Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.

00:12:42
Speaker 1: What's going on?

00:12:43
Speaker 6: I'll keep this one a little shorter.

00:12:45
Speaker 8: Brody is wrong.

00:12:46
Speaker 5: Brody is wrong.

00:12:48
Speaker 10: Brody is wrong.

00:12:49
Speaker 15: Brody is wrong.

00:12:53
Speaker 10: Kelsey Musgraves.

00:12:54
Speaker 13: I know you corrected yourself right away after Scary corrected you, but you always do this thing like, oh, you were thinking of this.

00:13:06
Speaker 21: No, you weren't.

00:13:07
Speaker 4: No, you weren't.

00:13:08
Speaker 6: You just didn't.

00:13:09
Speaker 21: Know her name.

00:13:10
Speaker 14: You said maybe you were wrong.

00:13:11
Speaker 13: Goddamn.

00:13:12
Speaker 1: No, I genuinely was thinking of somebody with the same name. Travis Kelsey Musgraves?

00:13:20
Speaker 10: Yeah.

00:13:22
Speaker 1: So, but I admitted I was wrong. So I don't see what the problem is.

00:13:26
Speaker 9: And he's saying that you like to cover up for yourself and say, that's not what I meant. That kind of thing. Kelsey, Kelsey Musgraves. Or were you thinking of some Kelsey? Is there another, is there another country singer with the name Kelsey in it?

00:13:38
Speaker 1: I don't know. We'll be back after this.

00:13:41
Speaker 20: Yeah.

00:13:42
Speaker 2: The Brooklyn boys podcast.

00:13:45
Speaker 14: We will be right back.

00:13:47
Speaker 1: Can you tell it's the heat of the summer? Oh, it's the heat of the moment. Thanks, Asia. They got a lot going on. A lot on their minds. Yeah, people getting upset over Casey Musgraves. People have no patience. All right, Guns N' Roses. Patience.

00:14:05
Speaker 7: Commenting on episode 388.

00:14:10
Speaker 1: Scary. Correlation and superstition.

00:14:15
Speaker 14: Thank you, Stevie Wonder.

00:14:17
Speaker 12: All right, guys.

00:14:18
Speaker 1: Take care. Superstition. Superstition ain't the way.

00:14:24
Speaker 2: Brooklyn boys.

00:14:25
Speaker 7: Becca from Long Island.

00:14:29
Speaker 4: Another food talk back. I'm a foodie like scary.

00:14:32
Speaker 7: What can I say?

00:14:33
Speaker 4: But I tried a dirty Dr. Pepper and it was actually really good.

00:14:37
Speaker 1: It was just Dr. Pepper with like whipped cream on top.

00:14:41
Speaker 19: It does taste like.

00:14:43
Speaker 1: That's not a dirty Dr.

00:14:44
Speaker 7: Pepper.

00:14:45
Speaker 2: I enjoyed it.

00:14:47
Speaker 1: No, you got to put heavy cream in it and lime juice or whatever the ingredients are. Whatever it is, it's nasty.

00:14:52
Speaker 6: Dr.

00:14:52
Speaker 1: Pepper is... You want to make a root be afloat with ice cream and whipped cream? That's fine.

00:14:56
Speaker 6: Dr.

00:14:56
Speaker 1: Pepper is complete on its own. It's just not... It doesn't need other things. I don't know. That's just my opinion, but whatever. I do like the Dr. Pepper cream soda flavor.

00:15:06
Speaker 12: Got to say.

00:15:07
Speaker 14: T-Wed again. Another one.

00:15:09
Speaker 1: Another one.

00:15:10
Speaker 14: From 384, a line in the sand.

00:15:12
Speaker 1: Thank you, Linkin Park. Wow, he's got the obscure ones.

00:15:18
Speaker 19: Brody is Alex from Philly. It's September 1st, so we'll see if this makes it before the cutoff. It doesn't get erased. I am commenting on the dirty sodas. There is a restaurant near my house that does have dirty sodas, and I did try it when I was pregnant, and I could not have a cocktail out at dinner.

00:15:40
Speaker 12: And it's really not.

00:15:42
Speaker 19: As gross as you think. It's actually pretty good. It's like... Tangy soda.

00:15:47
Speaker 1: If you like sugar, if you like a mouthful of sugar. Oh, and heavy cream.

00:15:53
Speaker 11: I guess.

00:15:55
Speaker 1: Not for that.

00:15:58
Speaker 11: August 22nd.

00:16:00
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:16:01
Speaker 17: On the big show is a replay. If anyone wants to hear old school Brody, he is on there. Tune in to hear about his matchbox cars.

00:16:12
Speaker 1: Well, how can they tune in if it already happened? I have to go back to the best of in the Elvis Duran podcast.

00:16:18
Speaker 11: August 22nd.

00:16:18
Speaker 1: Was that a Saturday? Why was I talking about my Hot Wheels cars? I have hundreds. I have no idea. I have thousands, actually, at this point. Hey, what's going on?

00:16:27
Speaker 6: This is it. Hey.

00:16:29
Speaker 7: Angel from California, a little sick, man, so my voice is a little rough, okay?

00:16:33
Speaker 1: Bear with me, okay?

00:16:34
Speaker 7: You know, I wanted to talk about the whole head nodding thing that Skiri was talking about.

00:16:40
Speaker 2: You know, yeah, man, there's a lot of different meanings to that, you know. Depends how you do it, you know.

00:16:46
Speaker 7: So let's say that Brody was walking out of Target and he was wearing his new Iron Maiden t-shirt that he just bought because he went to the Iron Maiden concert.

00:16:56
Speaker 2: There at Harrison, New Jersey.

00:16:58
Speaker 1: Yes. At the Sports Illustrated Stadium there. Oh, my friends.

00:17:02
Speaker 7: And then there was a guy, the guy coming on the opposite direction towards him, you know, was wearing an Iron Maiden t-shirt as well.

00:17:09
Speaker 2: Brody would nod his head up, you know, and say like, hey, bro, what's up, man?

00:17:13
Speaker 7: And then with his hand, he would go back and forth like this, pointing at the shirts like, hey, bro, look, we got the same thing, man. We're into the same thing. That would be a friendly nod, bro. But on the same token, that same guy was wearing the Iron Maiden shirt, you know. You know, Brody looked down, and he's wearing sandals, and Brody doesn't like guys that wear sandals. He can't make a connection with them, you know. He said that a long time ago. But anyway, you know, Brody, then you pick up your shoulders and nod your head up, you know, and then move your hands to your side by your hips, you know, like the tap dancers do, you know.

00:17:44
Speaker 2: And then that way you're saying, like, what's up, motherfucker?

00:17:47
Speaker 7: You know, I don't agree with you and your stinky-ass sandals. Who wants to see your yellow fucking toenails? That would be an unfriendly nod, you know.

00:17:54
Speaker 1: So it can be.

00:17:56
Speaker 7: It can be a friendly or an unfriendly knot. There's two types of knots up, okay? And then on the other token, when you're knotting down, you know, let's say, for example, Skiri was coming out of the orthopedist's office, you know, where he's doing his yearly bone density check because he's got to keep up with his bone density, you know, make sure it's good because he can break a hip, you know, now that he's up in age, you know, when he's on the carnival cruises and the seas get rough, he can break a hip or something. But anyway, if he's got, you know, he's walking out of the office and there's a young fellow.

00:18:34
Speaker 1: That was like seven, but you know what? I, he was going somewhere. I know, but you got to do it in four. I'm sorry. You got to do it in four.

00:18:42
Speaker 9: I give you five. If you're on a roll, but that was, he was not on a roll. He was talking in circles.

00:18:49
Speaker 1: I like him, though.

00:18:50
Speaker 11: I do, too.

00:18:51
Speaker 1: I love him. But we have, yeah. I love all his characters. I love you.

00:18:55
Speaker 16: Who?

00:18:55
Speaker 7: What?

00:18:56
Speaker 6: Who?

00:18:56
Speaker 7: What?

00:18:56
Speaker 1: Oh, they're all different people. By the way, if I'm walking out of the Iron Maiden concert, by the way, they play with Anthrax and Megadeth, a triple threat, I should have been there. If you see another guy in an Iron Maiden shirt at an Iron Maiden concert, he's not getting a head nod. He's not. If I see him at Target, yes. But At a concert, everyone's got the shirt on. So no, it's not, unless he's got like a throwback 1995 tour shirt that I'm wearing and it's the same one, then you give him the head nod. But just an Iron Maiden shirt and Iron Maiden concert, no head nod. That's like if I saw somebody with a Mets shirt at a Mets game, then I'd get a head nod. Yeah, no, because then you'd be head nodding all day.

00:19:33
Speaker 19: Right.

00:19:34
Speaker 9: All right.

00:19:34
Speaker 1: Moving on.

00:19:36
Speaker 5: Hey, Brooklyn boys. This is Kat, like meow from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I started listening episode zero in March of last year and finally just finished. I'm up to date. Um, i am shocked i still haven't heard about a steak dinner happening i messaged brody a while back he said it didn't happen then but it's been a while and still hasn't happened.

00:20:00
Speaker 1: Oh it happened yeah i.

00:20:03
Speaker 5: Just wonder yeah When you guys are going to Shady Maple, I've heard talk of that, and I don't think that's happened yet either.

00:20:11
Speaker 1: Really close to me.

00:20:11
Speaker 5: Would love to meet you guys.

00:20:13
Speaker 1: We've not been to the Shady Maple Buffet. That's an Amish country. You know what's funny? What's that? We talked about the Shady Maple Buffet and going there together like two years ago. But in her world, it was like a month ago.

00:20:26
Speaker 19: Right.

00:20:27
Speaker 1: Exactly. Because she's just catching up now.

00:20:29
Speaker 2: Well.

00:20:29
Speaker 19: Yeah!

00:20:31
Speaker 1: What are you doing? Chill out. That was only one. I just agreed with you. I just said yeah.

00:20:36
Speaker 2: Or two.

00:20:37
Speaker 1: It was two.

00:20:39
Speaker 10: Oh.

00:20:39
Speaker 1: Okay. Keep that under your skirt.

00:20:42
Speaker 9: Next.

00:20:43
Speaker 1: What do we got? Yep. Man from Ohio.

00:20:49
Speaker 19: Okay.

00:20:49
Speaker 1: Talk back to witchcraft. Fucking God.

00:20:52
Speaker 2: That was so fucking funny.

00:20:54
Speaker 10: Wow.

00:20:55
Speaker 11: Is he shooting fireworks?

00:20:57
Speaker 2: That's so fucking funny.

00:20:58
Speaker 6: All right.

00:21:01
Speaker 2: Glad you guys are back from vacation.

00:21:03
Speaker 1: Thank you. And everybody on this page is back.

00:21:06
Speaker 7: All right.

00:21:06
Speaker 9: Thank you.

00:21:07
Speaker 1: Thank you, Liam, for your patronage. No idea what was funny, but thank you. We appreciate it all.

00:21:12
Speaker 9: And maybe get yourself an umbrella.

00:21:14
Speaker 1: Was it raining on him? What was going on? I don't know. People dropping rocks?

00:21:17
Speaker 2: Hey, welcome back, boys.

00:21:18
Speaker 14: Brody.

00:21:19
Speaker 22: Is wrong you hit the jingle on me last slice time and it's okay because it was five but the last one was later in the day and i'm fuck was in between so i thought it'd be okay because i don't know jamie or vinnie they leave like a few one day a few the next day and it's more than four for the one slice time episode is it four in a row or four per episode that's a good question so just keep track and someone can't leave more than four for one episode you know That's discretionary.

00:21:49
Speaker 9: I mean, Liam leaves about 12 every episode and we don't play the jingle on him.

00:21:53
Speaker 1: Yeah. Just, just be entertaining. You know what I mean? Get to the point. I don't know how to answer that. If you amuse us, we're not going to hit the jingle on you. Well, if you do five, six in a row, that's like... Five in a row is just unacceptable. Sorry. If you do three and then like an hour later in the podcast, you're like, you know what? I really want to leave. But if we tell you you should do that, then everyone's going to do that and we'll be back to the same overloading the service shit again where we lose people.

00:22:24
Speaker 6: Yeah.

00:22:24
Speaker 9: All right.

00:22:25
Speaker 1: Let's... We're fast and loose with the rules. Here we go. Yeah. I aren't... I heart's in troubled times. We don't have the hard drive space.

00:22:35
Speaker 9: Okay.

00:22:35
Speaker 1: And we're not paying for more. The cloud, the cloud is full. Okay.

00:22:40
Speaker 14: Yeah.

00:22:41
Speaker 1: Times over there. Rough times at I heart. All right. What do we got?

00:22:47
Speaker 22: Anyway, the reason this matters is because I can't leave that talk back again because of dynamic insertion. That commercial is gone now. But you were talking about the AI inflection and the commercials. And on this podcast, there was a Toyota commercial where they say at the end, Toyota, let's go places instead of let's go places. would have been better to play that but.

00:23:11
Speaker 9: Um have you heard that one so let me ask are we playing i don't know because i don't really listen back to these podcasts because i hate the sound of my voice and brody's even more.

00:23:20
Speaker 1: Different commercials go fuck yourself but no um i are we running ai slices are we running ai commercials are there clearly ai voices in in commercials that you're hearing.

00:23:33
Speaker 9: If that's the case, I'm going to report that to upper management.

00:23:38
Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't think we're responsible for client.

00:23:41
Speaker 10: Use of AI.

00:23:41
Speaker 2: No, no.

00:23:42
Speaker 1: We are guaranteed human. But not the commercials. Yes, yes. We are guaranteed human. So if Toyota runs a massive commercial, right? And in the commercial, the person's like, listen to my new AI friend. Different.

00:23:56
Speaker 7: No.

00:23:57
Speaker 1: If the commercial is voiced. I'm not getting nitpicky.

00:24:00
Speaker 19: Come on.

00:24:01
Speaker 1: If the commercial is voiced. I'm being serious here.

00:24:05
Speaker 9: If the commercial is voiced completely in its entirety by AI, let us know.

00:24:11
Speaker 1: And let me pinpoint that. And I will bring it up to upper management. The same people who created the phrase guaranteed human. Because they mean it.

00:24:21
Speaker 2: All right.

00:24:22
Speaker 1: Thank you. We'll be right back.

00:24:24
Speaker 9: This is not AI. I repeat, this is not AI.

00:24:32
Speaker 6: All right.

00:24:32
Speaker 1: Thank you for that.

00:24:35
Speaker 9: Yeah, so we have our watchdogs out there. I'd love to know what commercial that was. I want to hear it, but it's too late.

00:24:45
Speaker 20: Yes.

00:24:46
Speaker 22: Also talking about. more accidents on album release days, I'm actually more likely to get an accident when the Brooklyn Boys release an episode because I'm listening to it while driving and writing down ideas for talkbacks while I'm driving.

00:25:03
Speaker 1: Be careful. See, there's some sense to that. Correlation. There's correlation. You said that one had nothing to do with the other, Brody. That's causation.

00:25:15
Speaker 9: Yeah, but He's saying that we cause him to nearly get into an accident.

00:25:20
Speaker 1: Well, that's causation. That's nearly causation. Nearly causation. Well, we're causing the nearly.

00:25:26
Speaker 14: Yeah.

00:25:26
Speaker 1: All right. He's got fourth.

00:25:27
Speaker 18: This is number four.

00:25:28
Speaker 22: Brody's wrong jingle this week because this is my fourth and last, but here is my song game mic drop.

00:25:36
Speaker 1: He's like, he's a little upset about it. He's a little bent, but.

00:25:40
Speaker 9: Okay.

00:25:40
Speaker 2: Matchbox 20.

00:25:41
Speaker 1: Matchbox 20. Ha, ha, ha, ha. By the way, one of my favorite parodies that I wrote for Elliot for his morning show in Washington was a parody of Bent about a bent penis. It's very funny. And the chorus is like, my dick's got a dent.

00:25:59
Speaker 6: Scary and Brody, Brody and Scary rocking.

00:26:02
Speaker 1: Hey, rocking Steve over there.

00:26:04
Speaker 10: Steve over there from the Bronx. Brody, this is for you, a big faux pas in my eyes. Who gives two fucks? And Scary calls them nuggies.

00:26:15
Speaker 6: Or Tendies, I mean.

00:26:17
Speaker 1: Tendies.

00:26:18
Speaker 10: And I wasted how much time in.

00:26:19
Speaker 6: My life hearing about you complaining about him calling him Tendies?

00:26:22
Speaker 1: That's correct.

00:26:23
Speaker 6: Get the fuck out of here.

00:26:24
Speaker 1: All right, you get your money back on the box. Have a great day, guys. Have a great day, Rockin' Steve. See? I haven't heard Rockin' Steve in a couple of weeks. He defended the Tendies. He came out for the Tendies. No, he didn't. He defended me complaining. That's what he defended. He came out to defend his boy, Skiri J.

00:26:43
Speaker 6: Scary Brody, never Brody, Scary Rock. Rock and Steve from the Bronx over there. Episode, I forgot, 384 maybe?

00:26:51
Speaker 1: Something like that.

00:26:52
Speaker 6: The reviews on Port Jervis, New York. Just to correct you, correct you, Scary. Port Jervis is in Orange County, not Rockland.

00:27:01
Speaker 1: Very close, though. Okay.

00:27:03
Speaker 6: Not really too close, but you know.

00:27:04
Speaker 1: All right, next.

00:27:05
Speaker 6: Port Jervis, Orange County. Terrible town it is. All right, that's all I got. Keep on rocking over there.

00:27:12
Speaker 1: Over there. Over here. How many people really got that reference?

00:27:16
Speaker 9: Next.

00:27:16
Speaker 1: Too close.

00:27:17
Speaker 8: Next.

00:27:18
Speaker 1: Oh, it's a good song. One of the greatest songs of the 90s.

00:27:19
Speaker 2: Brody and Scary.

00:27:20
Speaker 18: Scary and Brody.

00:27:21
Speaker 7: It's Des.

00:27:21
Speaker 1: Des. Des Bombs.

00:27:23
Speaker 18: Scary, are you back from your 17th bougie vacation of the year?

00:27:26
Speaker 1: I'm only kidding. I would love to go to Greece.

00:27:29
Speaker 18: I am so jealous that you got to go.

00:27:32
Speaker 1: And, you know, it's difficult.

00:27:34
Speaker 18: Bringing a 15-year-old horny teenager along for.

00:27:38
Speaker 1: The ride, you know? I mean, think about it.

00:27:39
Speaker 18: It's scary. Don't try to get so crotchety and pretend that you don't remember being 15 years old. You know what I mean, man?

00:27:45
Speaker 7: Come on.

00:27:45
Speaker 1: You're not even that old.

00:27:47
Speaker 7: Come on.

00:27:48
Speaker 8: I know.

00:27:48
Speaker 4: Come on.

00:27:49
Speaker 18: But what I will say is even though he's... 15, and even though he's in a relationship with this new girl, and that's all he wants to do is be with her, that does not give him an excuse to act like that towards his family. You know what I mean? So if he's feeling some type of way, I think Brody was right with saying that you got to have that kind of fungal talk with him before the trip starts, you know? And just be like, listen, your grandpa's not going to be around for the rest of your life.

00:28:15
Speaker 1: This is quality.

00:28:16
Speaker 18: Family time, and you should be thankful. With that being said, Scary, I hope you had a.

00:28:22
Speaker 18: Good conversation with him because I know by the time that you hear this, you'll be back from your trip and we're going to hear all about it. And, you know, maybe there's some type of store along the way that was about to close in about six minutes that you had to get into because you need a sweater.

00:28:36
Speaker 1: I'm only teasing. Listen, I hope so.

00:28:39
Speaker 18: I hope you had a great trip. I hope it was wonderful and beautiful.

00:28:41
Speaker 1: It looks great.

00:28:41
Speaker 18: It would be absolutely beautiful out there. I'd love to one day see that. He should be very thankful that he was able to experience.

00:28:48
Speaker 21: That for real.

00:28:50
Speaker 1: Thank you. By the way, she said your nephew was how old? 15. Okay, Taylor Swift. Well, no, she had a song called 22. And 15. And 15? Yeah, you don't know the song 15? Oh, yes, I do. You're right. Okay.

00:29:05
Speaker 4: Okay.

00:29:06
Speaker 1: You saw her in concert.

00:29:09
Speaker 6: Yeah.

00:29:11
Speaker 9: Next, this is blank.

00:29:12
Speaker 1: We got a blank check. Blank space?

00:29:15
Speaker 5: Blank.

00:29:17
Speaker 4: Okay, part two.

00:29:19
Speaker 1: Well, you don't have part one. You blanked out.

00:29:21
Speaker 4: When he gets older, I know he's only 15, but I'm telling you, when he gets older, he's going to remember how douchey he was about the trip. He should appreciate it. It's very difficult. I know how kids are. They they're like, yeah, it's good. But he misses the girlfriend. It's a shame. Too bad she couldn't come along. But now that's what they're going to do. He's going to miss it when he's older.

00:29:47
Speaker 1: Yes, he will.

00:29:48
Speaker 9: By the way, part one got totally was just blank. So I don't know what you did there, MJ. So she was probably asking if this thing was on and it wasn't.

00:29:56
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:29:57
Speaker 15: Sorry.

00:29:58
Speaker 18: This is the third one.

00:29:58
Speaker 4: Last one.

00:30:01
Speaker 19: But, yes, scary.

00:30:03
Speaker 4: I don't know. Like I said, the trip is probably over by the time this thing goes on.

00:30:07
Speaker 11: Oh, yes, it is.

00:30:07
Speaker 4: But I hope you did talk to Lucas. I'm telling you, it's very difficult. They got girl on the brain and other things. But like I said, he's got to respect, you know, the grandpa is not going to be around for the.

00:30:23
Speaker 1: Next 35 years. Absolutely.

00:30:26
Speaker 10: All right.

00:30:26
Speaker 4: I hope everything worked out.

00:30:28
Speaker 1: Yes. Love you. Thank you for caring. Appreciate that. All of you. She's sweet. She's a sweetheart. Love MJ. All right.

00:30:36
Speaker 9: We've got like six more of these. What do you got here? Another blank, another blank file. This is not good.

00:30:44
Speaker 2: I don't know.

00:30:45
Speaker 19: All right.

00:30:46
Speaker 6: Hey, B boys. It's Rivka.

00:30:48
Speaker 1: Rivka.

00:30:50
Speaker 14: I believe it.

00:30:52
Speaker 1: I believe that's the reason. All right, Hoobastank.

00:30:55
Speaker 2: Okay, Hoobastank.

00:30:59
Speaker 1: I got it before she did.

00:31:04
Speaker 8: Brody shit about what he's saying about his nephew. But told Greg to eat his daughter's ass.

00:31:12
Speaker 1: Wait, what? What? I gotta hear that one again.

00:31:16
Speaker 8: Look at Skiri giving Brody shit about what he's saying about his nephew. but told Greg T to eat his daughter's ass.

00:31:27
Speaker 1: Tell Greg T to eat his daughter's ass? Okay, so what he's saying is, I'm going to translate. Please do. I got it.

00:31:33
Speaker 10: Quickly.

00:31:33
Speaker 1: He said, apparently I said something about your, oh, I was making sexual jokes about your nephew, whatever I was saying, about him and his girlfriend. And then he says, Skiri shouldn't talk. You told Greg T to eat his daughter's ass. Now, I understand what he's saying. The words, I understand the words he said. I don't understand the reference. I don't think you ever told Greg T to do that.

00:31:59
Speaker 21: No, no.

00:32:00
Speaker 6: What?

00:32:00
Speaker 1: Where is this coming from?

00:32:02
Speaker 7: Please.

00:32:02
Speaker 1: That is not something that I would say.

00:32:04
Speaker 5: No.

00:32:04
Speaker 1: Yo, Brooklyn boys. Yo.

00:32:15
Speaker 11: You already know who it is.

00:32:17
Speaker 21: DP from NC with the motherfucking background noise. Anyway, you bougie bastard, I welcome back from vacation.

00:32:22
Speaker 1: Hope you had a good time.

00:32:24
Speaker 21: Brody, I ain't heard nothing from you, so I'm reckoning you stayed at home.

00:32:28
Speaker 2: Hope you also had a good time with the missus.

00:32:31
Speaker 11: Anyway, I heard on the big show fucking Tuesday that Scary's going down to Charleston soon. And let me tell you, as somebody from North Carolina, I honestly, I ain't never been to Charleston, I don't know exactly how it is, but I have been to old Dirty Myrtle a couple times, man.

00:32:50
Speaker 16: Let me tell you, the moment you cross that North Carolina-South Carolina border, you just run into the dumbest motherfuckers I've ever met in my life who can't drive. I mean, I watched a motherfucker hit a U-turn on the middle of, like, a four-lane, we're the turning lane in the middle, like, just all the way from one side, stopped every bit of traffic to make it.

00:33:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, but anyway, I hope y'all have a great day.

00:33:15
Speaker 16: Great week welcome back again the bougie bastard and uh.

00:33:19
Speaker 11: Uh fucking oh yeah dude it's cooler in north carolina now so.

00:33:24
Speaker 10: It's uh it's three o'clock on tuesday and it's only.

00:33:27
Speaker 21: 94 degrees in the warehouse amen brother amen i ain't real religious but amen brother amen thank you god because uh last week it was like the last time i looked at my thermometer one.

00:33:39
Speaker 1: Day it said 112 i said fuck this shit yeah i.

00:33:41
Speaker 9: Heard it's really really really hot down there But it's crazy. He lives in North Carolina, but he's never been to Charleston, South Carolina. I find that so bizarre. It seems like they're so close to each other. Like, how could you not visit that? But I'll be visiting there in the middle of October.

00:33:57
Speaker 1: Scary. Have you been to every city in Connecticut?

00:34:03
Speaker 9: No, but I would imagine that Charleston is a major city. It's probably the most important city in South Carolina. And so for you to not visit there when you live in North Carolina, the neighboring state, I find that a little... If you're not a traveler, I would imagine there's people in New York that haven't been to Philly.

00:34:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess. Or Boston. That's wild to me.

00:34:32
Speaker 9: I mean, Boston's a few states away, but it's... Elvis just spent a very long, large amount of money, awesome weekend in low country. He was in Charleston and he had a great time. And I'll be there in about a month or so, going for a long weekend with Robin and a couple of other couples. So can't wait for that. It'll be my first time in my life.

00:34:53
Speaker 1: Want to travel? Travel the country.

00:34:55
Speaker 9: Didn't you go to one of the Carolinas and you were at a haunted house? No, that was Savannah. But I hear that Charleston is full of haunted stuff.

00:35:01
Speaker 19: Yeah.

00:35:02
Speaker 1: Anyway, all right.

00:35:04
Speaker 9: If you didn't hear your talk back, well, it got deleted because it was before the time that we, it just, you know, the server updates on its own.

00:35:13
Speaker 1: It does its own thing. We don't have control.

00:35:15
Speaker 9: So we apologize. You don't necessarily have to leave it again unless it was really that important.

00:35:21
Speaker 1: Too late to apologize. Too late to apologize. All right. Thank you.

00:35:25
Speaker 9: We'll talk to you in a couple of days on the Brooklyn Boys. Thank you for all your feedback and for making this podcast what it is.

00:35:35
Speaker 1: Getting slice reactions. Talk who's wrong, who's right. This podcast all depends on you.

00:35:41
Speaker 18: Talk facts are phenomenal.

00:35:42
Speaker 2: Baby.

00:35:43
Speaker 6: Tell all the things you could be on.

00:35:45
Speaker 7: It's slice time.

00:35:48
Speaker 6: Free dessert.
