Speaker 1: Brooklyn Boys Podcast Slice Reactions.

00:00:14
Speaker 2: This podcast all depends on you, baby.

00:00:29
Speaker 1: Welcome to Brooklyn Boys Slice time for episode three eighty five and beyond. Haw's it going, David Brody, It's going well, Scary Jones, the Happy Day of the Week to you. Happy day of the week to you as well, and to our slices who are listening and contributing to this episode. The episode About the episode, it's where our listeners leave voicemails through the iHeartRadio app. I hit the microphone button, that's right, and letting us know if they agree with or disagree with, or if we ask questions, give us their feedback. So thanks for checking in. Yeah, thank you. We do appreciate it. We love all the anytime you comment. So if you've never commented before, well this is a foray into what that's all about and the types of comments people leave. Although we're always you know, we we do like some constructive criticism and it's okay for people to go against us here and there. But yeah, yeah, but it's fun, Yes, it's fun. We like the entertaining ones. Be as entertaining as you possibly can when you leave your talk back. As a courtesy to others who are listening to your talkback. You might be listening for just your own, you know, as a two way communication, like I'm just gonna leave them this message, but just know at the same time, you're also only a one way communication. Well it's the two way comes when we hear it and give them the feedback that that finishes the two way communication. What I'm saying is, don't look at it like that. Look at it at the same time while you're leaving your feedback on your talk back that you're entertaining the other slices. So you know, you know, you know what I mean. You're entertaining as you go, like the like some people do, you'll see scary hit the button. Okay, oh really so soon? Okay, it's been eight minutes already. Yeah it has been. No, it hasn't, it's been too Here we go. This is uh this week's talkbacks he.

00:02:20
Speaker 3: He brook a bush of war with this and it's a it's burning scared Harry, uh Brody, I need your help. So I have grub Hub. I don't know if you know, but if you have an order over fifty they cut the fees. So then sometimes I get orders that are like forty maybe thirty seven. With the fee, they go up to fifty and I complained, And now I have orders that go up to fifty and they're like forty dollars.

00:02:50
Speaker 1: So what's cut himself off there? So I'd very unlike him. Okay, So if I get this straight, if the fees and the taxi is bring you to fifty, to the point where you'd wave your fees and taxes, that doesn't know they want you to spend fifty dollars before fees and taxes. That's the whole point. If they make money on your fifty, then they're willing to wave. It's like when you get free shipping when you spend one hundred. If you spend ninety and they charge you ten dollars for shipping to get you to one hundred, that doesn't give you free shipping, right. So my suggestion is order more food, dude, order more food. Well, order wrapping paper like scary does yeah, ye, throw a little add on, get to that threshold. Brody bringing out the elder Emo.

00:03:41
Speaker 4: With the blackveil Bride reference DC from VT By.

00:03:45
Speaker 1: The way, Okay, love about blackveil brides. It's going from Ohio h scary.

00:03:53
Speaker 4: You should know this. Anyone think that Curtis might be the trucker, way talk to Cadence and every thing on Gani's podcast and on.

00:04:02
Speaker 1: The regular show.

00:04:03
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, he really sounds like trucker. If Cadence everything, I think we should dive deeper. Maybe, Uh, scary, put in a corner, look and ask me questions because he sounds very, very very subty.

00:04:20
Speaker 1: I get it. Yeah, no, Curtis, Curtis. I was just going to say, before you got the Cadence and the speech pattern and the energy level, I think Liam may be the trucker. Well he was referring to Curtis Sliwa. Curtis Leewa is not the trucker, Okay, I guarantee he has other things better to do with his day. Yeah. Also he's not hispanic and noisy from Texas. Yeah, we can rule him out. The fact I walked out of the building with him today. Uh, he had some fans outside. Why do you walk wanting him to sign some things? Yeah? Oh very nice. I love Curtis Sleiwa a little bit more each day. He is a local treasure. Get to know him. I never never gotten to meet him, but he's quite the character, Brody. If you still walk the halls, you'd never go home. You would be in a conversation. And he doesn't go home either. You guys would be feeding off each other for hours and hours and hours. And he's a he's a million laughs. He also you know he could you know, he imparts his opinion. He's very opinionated. Yes, but he's he's hysterical though too. We all we all love him. He's such a great addition to the iHeartMedia staff. I told him that today, not that he's not the trucker. No, he's not the trucker.

00:05:35
Speaker 5: Brooklyn boys.

00:05:37
Speaker 6: Hey, speaking of the fans and new pizza place, I'm just curious. I'm from a different part of the country, but curious when you all from from the Northeast to have access to this great pizza one of the times where you eat like Domino's or Pizza Hut or any of the chain you know spizzas as Brodie would put it.

00:05:56
Speaker 1: Thanks, No, I don't eat that stuff. In fact, it's cringe to me to like to see people like going it's like ordering that stuff. You know. Listen, if you're in a group setting and you got no choice and it's you know, Dominoes to the Rescue or Pizza Hut whatever, Papa John's. If people are just in a room and it's like massive amounts of people that you're catering to, I'm not gonna complain, but it's not my go to ever ever. Brody, you too, right, we have so much great local stuff out there. Yeah, that's not correct. So living in Jersey the way we do, you can't get all the food you want as late as you want like you could when we lived in the city. So there have been nights when either I have been sent to get Domino's pizza at night, or I have gone myself when I'm out and about maybe uh, you know, late night and it's oh, it's twelve thirty at night and I'm starving. I will get a Domino's pizza. I'm fine with it, to be honest with you, I really just call it Dominoes, and I try to put out the word pizza from my mind. But there are times when it's there and it's fine as long as you don't like, go, Okay, I'm not gonna eat Bucki's pizza today, I'm gonna have Dominoes. No, that's never gonna happen, right, But there are times where I'm in the mood for pizza sch pizza. And you know what, they did a pretty decent job at doing the artisanal thing, because I know that they had a whole revamp a few years ago. The sauce got better. They they did make some improvements. I'll give them some credit there. And I will tell you this. I saw, uh it's a gen X or one of these. It may have been gen Y videos, but it was like, I'm old enough to remember when Pizza Hut was a sit down restaurant and it was considered pretty good pizza. I'm like, I remember those days. Remember you go with your family to a Pizza Hut. They had the red you know, the red roof and the fun building and the red and white tablecloths whatever whatever the tables were, and it was like decent pizza. Yeah. The problem is any place that does pizza on a conveyor belt, which is what Chuck E Cheese does and Domino, it's to give you high volumes so that you can, like, if you have a pizza of it in a pizza place, you have to put the pizzas in they sit and then you take them out, you put a pizza behind them and you rotate them. It's pain any ass, But on a conveyor belt, you just keep putting them in the back and they cook quickly and they come out the front. But that's not conducive to making fantastic pizza. Big announcement here to the Northeast. Speaking of pizza, do you hear you know? You know the the video game Five Nights of Freddy's. You know, the horror film or hard movie whatever series, so based on the pizza, based on a pizzeria that's haunted whatever it is, right, it's like chuck e Cheese's Chuckie Cheese. Guess what they're having. They are going to be debuting American dream next year. They're gonna be in a museum and an immersive, an immersive experience. Scary, Yeah, scary. Do I have to have you hit in the jingle? No, not a sponsor. It was Headline News Today. Work closely with American Dreams. I haven't in about a year and a half, so I'm keeping track. No this time around. Uh no, just this is just for your knowledge. They're gonna have an immersive experience there. They're gonna have Uh, it's a museum. They're gonna have the real, the real pizzeria, they're gonna have animatronics, and apparently it's gonna be a haven for your kids, especially if you've been fans of it. Google it coming out that coming next year to American Drunk right, very good, by the way, this time around Michael Jackson or Hanson, thank you? Okay, perfect, but not second time around, which is disco song. Very nice.

00:09:39
Speaker 7: Work exploration. I know it seems to like them parts for a while, but like I not that in the toilet and it seems like you didn't feel through again. So I don't think it's it's me.

00:09:53
Speaker 8: It's more like the Apple, the services that wasn't ticking mine epiphone. But anyways, you're gone. Watch alb a couple of years ago when they get them. I want to get one.

00:10:06
Speaker 1: I'm I'm having trouble understanding what he's talking about. Hold on, give it. I'm whoever that is. That's Asian Mike, Get off a speaker and do leave those Asian Mike. He's hitting on. Maddie Micha. Will see you next week. Love you, buddy, but but get a better connection.

00:10:26
Speaker 9: Don't do what you did there there Lisa from Delaware coming on three eighty four about the kid going to school like a cat. Hey, if they want to be a cat, that's fine.

00:10:39
Speaker 1: They can be a cat.

00:10:40
Speaker 9: But as a parent, keep them home, homeschool them, find a cat school or some kind of animal training. But they shouldn't be in a classroom. It's not the teacher's responsibility to take care of a pet.

00:10:53
Speaker 1: Correct exactly? You hear that delco accent? Yes, keep them home like that?

00:10:59
Speaker 4: Well, put Lea from Ohio bet this podcast I like is you guys first, and then Gandhi's and then Bobby on the Beat. Oh my gosh, I learned so much. I'm going on YouTube and watch his whole videos. And I watched him cook his stuff. Oh my gosh, best shit I've ever seen. Damn, I learned a lot. I really really really enjoyed it.

00:11:28
Speaker 1: So tell him, let him know. I will let Bobby Flay know that he's got a fan in Liam from Ohio. Bobby on the Beat. I called Bobby Flair recently. Very nice conversation. Oh nice, I like him. Good good man, good Man.

00:11:42
Speaker 9: Hey, Bricker boys.

00:11:42
Speaker 10: Jamie from Queen's Here, yep, you guys asked us sleeve talkbacks about the friend who we.

00:11:48
Speaker 1: Know is lying.

00:11:50
Speaker 10: Well, there's one guy my friend group who pretty much everyone in the friend group knows he's lying when he talks and barely pays attention to what he says because he's that better guy whenever someone tells a funny story, and he tells these fantastic stories that he's clearly just making up as he's telling Jamie from Queen's again. So the reason people people in the friend group don't take the lying guy seriously anymore is because now he's lying about things within the friend group. There's a funny story that gets told in the friend group where a few of the guys were on a road trip that something funny happened. That lying guy has told them to their face that he was there on the road trip when the funny thing happened and acts like he was there when the other guys know he wasn't there.

00:12:39
Speaker 1: Lying. Yeah, those are the white lies that happened. That's a funny story. By the way, I believe the topic that we were we were on a last episode was signs you know your friend is lying, like the tells. Not just friends that lie but how do you know they're lying? Why isn't that what you're talking about? Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, I enjoyed it just the same though. Yeah it was still good.

00:13:03
Speaker 10: Hey, good boys, jam from Queen's again. You guys were talking talked about the woman who referred to her boobs as cannons. I'm suspicious of that because I feel like an actual woman who was trying to entice a guy would say it in a sexier or more feminine way.

00:13:20
Speaker 1: She wouldn't canon.

00:13:21
Speaker 10: The word cannons. Sounds like a dude bro on a chat room pretending to be a girl right after he shot gun to beer with his buddies.

00:13:32
Speaker 1: Right, yeah, exact, pretty much. Yeah, we don't that definitely wasn't a girl. That was a guy pretending here was a woman. Can it's his boss, the boy, right, but cannons. He's claiming his boss harassed him, and people are saying they don't believe him. Wouldn't exactly like that? Exactly exactly. I don't believe it either, cannons. Check out my cannons are all right, So let's take a break and we'll have more on the other side. Scary and Brodie, all right, thank you again. For your feedback. You talk backs. We love you. Where's this one from? We don't know. It's untitled. This could be from anywhere.

00:14:21
Speaker 10: Hit the hey for good boys, Jamie Foon queens. Then I know this is my fourth. This is the last one I promised. Don't hit the jingle on me, Brody. Are you surprised that Scary wasn't getting the concept of gravity drawing the washcloth unevenly? This is the guy who buys Bougie as spat treated Buster and Punch brand Chicken, but gets the cheapest Homos insurance policy he can and didn't have Apple Care for his phone that he needs for work.

00:14:52
Speaker 1: You know what strike too for me? She's right, the thing that the thing that I should be protecting the most. Ye, I value the least, obviously because I'm cheapening out. That's where I'm cheapening out. And you know my priorities are are out of order. Fucking Apple Care. How to learn the hard way? Yep, high deductible because I want to pay a low monthly. Yeah, I'm fucked. My world's upside down.

00:15:21
Speaker 11: Scary and Brody Brody is Scarry Gerrian from Telford, PA. I'm commenting on the X Men ninety seven conversation, Brody, I think you can appreciate this. The original X Men theme and also the theme for Spider Man, the animated series, which came out in ninety four, was done by none other than leaking guitarists of Aerosmith, Joe Perry. There's a little bit of interesting facts right there for you.

00:15:50
Speaker 1: Hope you guys, that's very interesting. Love love those cards, those animated series well. In fact, if you check out the geek geek Scape Network every week, I'm part of a podcast called Marvel Marvel Movie Talk where we break down Marvel movies and TV shows, and we're doing X Men ninety seven every week. In fact, this week coming up, I think it's Wednesday Thursday. I'm not sure which is the X Men ninety seven season two finale, So check that out. I always tweet about it. But if you're interested in seeing a breakdown, or you watch that show and you're interested, check out Marvel Movie Talk on the Geekscape Network.

00:16:25
Speaker 12: Boom, Hello, Brooklyn boy ethan from South central Pennsylvania. As always, Birdie and Scary, just checking in to see if Brodie or the Trucker feel like doing a version of Julie's mom for Scary there with the intern's moms of Wayne Stacy's mom so times off just made me laugh thinking about it.

00:16:47
Speaker 1: I have a good one, guys, thank you. If I worked there and knew about it in advance, I would have had that song ready to go. He would have had it ready. Oh my god, what are you gonna say? I would have said, Scary Julie's mom has got it going on. Scary Jones wants to take her to prom like I was ready to go when I saw the clip on his Instagram. That song and those lyrics immediately popped into my head. But uh, writing it two weeks after the fact doesn't really have the same impact.

00:17:14
Speaker 13: Yes, I got a fever. The only.

00:17:22
Speaker 14: Okay, nobody wants to see those big old cannons. What we do want to see are those big old mommy milkers.

00:17:31
Speaker 1: Mommy milkers. Now if she said, if he claims she said that, then you know he's definitely full of it. Exactly those blouse puppies. That's how like when you I would imagine that's how porn women talk about themselves, not the way your boss talks about them when she's flirting with you. What about what about Hooters. Do women use the word hooters on themselves? No, unless they're going there for wings. Yeah, check out my Hooters these kazangas on this day.

00:18:01
Speaker 15: I'm just calling about the Josie song to say that two songs came to mind that I feel like everyone knows, but nobody really ever pays attention to the actual lyrics. The first one is heart I Want to make Love to You, classic eighties song. We all kind of belted out, but then not too long ago, I sat and listened to the lyrics, and she picks up a hitchhiker to get her pregnant because her husband cannot.

00:18:27
Speaker 1: Yes, all I want to do is make love to you. That's a fuck up song. That's a fucked up song. Yeah. Hey, speaking of which, I'll play this again on the Brooklyn Boys podcast. But twice now this week I have heard uh, use your love Joe, you know the Josie song. Ye, the outfield your love your love in base at baseball games baseball players. Here's a clip are walking up? That's their walk up song? How is that your walk up song? And their names aren't Josie. This is Jake Mango from the Pirates and I saw a guy on the on the Connecticut the Hartford yard Goats. Here it is. Listen, listen, I can't hear it. It's it's way too low. It's not picking its not being picked up on my ear. Stop talking, Stop talking. You can't hear that. All No, all right, I'll edit the audio and make it louder. But anyway, you can hear the announcers talking over the song as the guy's coming up to bat. Uh, he's coming up to that song. Hilarious. It's just funny we've been talking about. I think they do it because it's by a band called The Outfield, so they figure, oh, the Outfield that has to do with baseball. Let me use this for my walk up song. Then you play center field like these songs that put me in coach, I'm ready to play that song is about baseball. I'm just saying. There's gotta be a reason. I don't know, all right, the reason we didn't say the read o going.

00:19:58
Speaker 15: Okay, and the second song, the second one is Escape, that's the real name of it, but most people call it the Pina Colada song. Yep, I can't even remember the guy's name that it sings. It, but it's like few like pin a lot of anyway, if you sit and listen to those lyrics. It's about a guy who's born with his wife reading personal ads, decides to answer a personal ad in the newspaper to meet up with a girl to cheat on his wife, and gets there and it's his wife who is looking to cheat on him, and they fall back in love.

00:20:25
Speaker 1: Which is fucked up another fucked up song, because they're both trying to cheat on each other. Yeah, I fell in love with the woman. You've been trying to cheat on her and she cheating on you. And they're like, I don't care. They put it that they're both listed in the personal Yeah, but but then they then they fall in love each other. But here's the thing. She was ready to cheat on him and he was ready cheat on herr. I don't think either one of them should forgive each other. That's a toxic relationship. I love them, I love them, I love these examples. Yeah, I'm not a fan. Are you a forgiver? I'm not a forgiver. I don't know. I've never been in the situation before, Yeah I've I've never been cheated on. But if I was you're out. How about how about Fucking into the Night by Benny Madonus. We've talked about that. We've talked about that. The girl's fixteen fifteen, she's just sixteen years old alone, or just fifteen, she's just fifteen years old. The sixteen na she was sixteen but still the No. Sixteen sixteen. And then there was that Ringo Star song about sixteen you're sixteen, you're beautiful in your mind? Yeah, I know. We talked about this. Kiss Sea sings Chris Christine sixteen winger, seing winger sings, Hey he's only seventeen, but she's old enough for me. There was a song called Hey seventeen, don't don't.

00:21:40
Speaker 16: In it?

00:21:41
Speaker 1: But you ever heard like, hey seventeen guys, you've never like creepy guys make that joke. They're like, oh, I'm like, uh, I'm like it's like I'm in Vegas, I hit on sixteen. That's that's awful. Yeah, that's that's like, it's not cool. It's not cool. Discuss by the way, cringe. Oklahoma just passed the law just this year in May outlawing marrying someone younger than seventeen. Wow, it took them this used to allow fourteen year olds to get married with per mental permission. All right, gross twenty six They just they Oklahoma, way to go Oklahoma.

00:22:22
Speaker 9: Heybe boys, it's riff gut.

00:22:25
Speaker 17: I have a small little grammar police. I don't know who writes the descriptions for the episodes, but for the most recent one, it says friends who offer you food that taste like crap, or they're done eating. Th h e I r done eating? It should be they apostrophe are but also or they're done eating doesn't even make sense. It should say when they're done eating? Anyways, scary?

00:22:52
Speaker 13: Was that me?

00:22:54
Speaker 1: Yeah, well it's not me. I usually don't make that mistake. I'm gonna go change it. Now, change it, change it, change cut off.

00:23:00
Speaker 17: I was saying, saying, scary was that you who writes the descriptions, because come.

00:23:06
Speaker 1: On, dude, did I wait a second? Or were they copy and pasting Brody's voice text and he fucked it up? Sometimes I do that. You know, you send me some ideas for the description, and I copy and paste excerpts of your voice text to me. I just put him plaster it in there without looking. But then that's it's still on me, because I should be the gatekeeper this shit. Good call riff, good, thank you. I'll low it up too. We forget before anyone makes any comments about that. When I voice text Scary right after we we do the episode, Scary goes, I gotta go normally he's got to go to some rooftop bar. He goes, Uh, send me a description and what we talked about and a title. So I voice text and he knows that like when I say scary girlfriend, yeah, it's gonna come out s c A r y. Yeah. I can't teach my phone to say skiery. All right, all right, all right, so my point, Oh, thanks, was it not? What's his name, Matthew McConaughey, Matthew McConaughey, all right, what else you want to.

00:24:08
Speaker 16: Also?

00:24:09
Speaker 17: I just wanted to say that the washcloth conversation about why is the wet? Why is the bottom wetter than the Like I just lost brain cells with that conversation and with Scary not understanding.

00:24:26
Speaker 1: Gravity and and all of that.

00:24:29
Speaker 17: Just like I was like, I cannot believe this is a conversation and why anyone would be confused?

00:24:34
Speaker 1: Okay, what else do you want to rip on me?

00:24:38
Speaker 6: Hold?

00:24:38
Speaker 13: On.

00:24:39
Speaker 17: You forgot this.

00:24:39
Speaker 1: I came, okay, I told Scary to bring it up on the morning show and he has not done it yet. You have to do that. Ask everybody if they know why. All right, See if the listeners know what's good.

00:24:48
Speaker 17: It's Riska again. You forgot this painfully obvious one in the last fice Time episode.

00:24:55
Speaker 1: I don't understand this. The nov became more expensive less expensive. Why are you? Are you coming for novacane but you're uncoming.

00:25:02
Speaker 9: You guys are gonna know this one.

00:25:04
Speaker 1: Novacane?

00:25:06
Speaker 17: Uh huh nother cane Okay, Frank.

00:25:09
Speaker 1: Ocean, Frank Ocean novacane. Oh shit, I love that. Yeah, I wouldn't have gotten that, but I'd love that you sang it too. Thank you, Thank you boys podcast.

00:25:23
Speaker 5: We will be right back.

00:25:26
Speaker 1: Right by the way. You know she knows that because she's a dental hygienics. Of course she knew that song.

00:25:34
Speaker 18: He's a delivery guy here. Air chilled chicken is chicken that is not soaked in chlorine or other chemicals. Correct, Yeah, that they soaked every single chicken in unless it's organic.

00:25:56
Speaker 1: And air chill is air too air chilled? Yes, right, Love you guys, that's what I was saying. I Gil, That's pretty much what I was talking about. Pizza delivery guy knows chicken. Yeah, yeah, it's disgusting what they do to regular chicken. Always go for the air chilled product. Folks, always leave it refrigerated till it goes back air chilled chicken. If it doesn't say air chilled, it was soaked in a chlorine bath, like he said. Hillary from Kentucky.

00:26:23
Speaker 19: Etiquette calling to say on my ride home from work, I am absolutely dying over the washcloth drying conversation.

00:26:33
Speaker 9: Scary.

00:26:33
Speaker 19: I'm always in your court, but.

00:26:36
Speaker 20: Please, this is common sense.

00:26:39
Speaker 19: The wash is going to take longer to dry at the bottom as the water drips down. I am cracking up.

00:26:46
Speaker 14: I love you guys.

00:26:47
Speaker 1: You never gave it that much thought. I never had that much time on my hands. I'm sorry to see you the time and you still couldn't figure out right, Pizza pelivery guy and put up.

00:27:00
Speaker 18: I can't believe Scary couldn't concept the way tow rag situation. Of course, the water goes downward through the material and drips down onto the floor or whatever the water has to go.

00:27:22
Speaker 1: Some of course it does, thank you. There Lisa, Lisa, Delaware.

00:27:28
Speaker 9: Just listen to episode three eighty five about paying for parking at the mall. Christiana Mall in Newark, Delaware has parking spots close to the restaurants that you also have to pay for not happening. I will just park and walk. There is no sense in parking in there's close spots and having to pay.

00:27:50
Speaker 1: Have a go one fair enough? I like, that's is the advice you would pay? Is there a price you would pay? In other words, if it was ten cents, yeah, would do you not pay it? On principal? You go it's ten cents. If it's twenty five cents, do you pay it?

00:28:05
Speaker 21: You go in?

00:28:05
Speaker 1: You know I'm not paying three dollars. I'm paying three dollars. I'm paying five dollars. If I could park up front. I'm fucking paying five bucks if you can get behind the velvet rope. If it's if it's Christmas time and it puss jammed, I'll pay fucking twenty dollars to park. Is it Christmas time in Hollis, Queens, Mom's cooking chicken and collared greens. That's what I'm asking.

00:28:28
Speaker 22: Hey, I guess I don't know how I played the song game you Didn't Like three by Brittany Last week, I guess I gotta know that questionable? And this week, let me know, what do you think about this.

00:28:39
Speaker 1: Anything? What are the ingredients in the list? Lasagna? Okay, weird lasagna. I'll tell you.

00:28:48
Speaker 22: Bronie is wrong. Scary said he's not down with opl other people's left overs. Do you guys remember a time ago on The Big Show, Elvis made a big deal that Scary took home Elvis is left over steak from a restaurant, and it was only a bite or two that was left, so Elvis couldn't believe it.

00:29:10
Speaker 1: That's right, I did, because it was steak. Certain things I value more than others. I'm not taking a grilled cheese sandwich home, but filet mignon, that's fucking shit's forty four pound some places.

00:29:25
Speaker 22: Also, that conversation minded me is something I saw online. Someone pointed out that it's considered weird if you don't eat the same thing at home, right, But then it's also considered weird if you don't order different things at a restaurant, So there's no consistency there.

00:29:41
Speaker 4: What say you?

00:29:44
Speaker 1: I don't know what say you, what do you mean by that? What are we talking about? I think we should replay that one. Hold on.

00:29:52
Speaker 22: Also, that conversation reminded me of something I saw online. Someone pointed out that it's considered weird if you don't eat the same thing at home, Right, But then it's also considered weird if you don't order different things at a restaurant. So there's no consistency there.

00:30:07
Speaker 14: What say you?

00:30:09
Speaker 1: I think you're leaving out with words and sentences if you don't eat the same thing at home? Are you saying all the time every day? Like what's that You're missing something?

00:30:18
Speaker 10: Yeah?

00:30:18
Speaker 1: Maybe eat the same thing at home as I do at restaurants. Refra eat the same thing every day, or I go to restaurants that I want variety. Wait, he's got another one.

00:30:26
Speaker 22: At the jingle on the last one. Shocking update on the Jurassic pork Sandwich. They must listen to this podcast because when I was there yesterday, so they changed their menu and now the first thing in the description of the Jurassic Pork sandwich is none other than roasted pork oh with hedder, bacon, onion, lenuce, sratcha barbecue sauce on a hero. That makes a lot more sense because, like Scary said, there's a dozen other sandwiches on the menu with bacon. You miss the point, Brody, You were wrong wrong.

00:30:54
Speaker 23: I was wrong.

00:30:55
Speaker 1: You were wrong in saying that. You said there's no pork on that. You said no zero pork. Therefore you were roll right now, is it a poor choice of using that name. A sandwich that has bacon has like a third a fourth ingredient. Yes, But all I was addressing was you said there's no pork on the sandwich. Where do you see today's The dead pig would disagree, What do you see today's around the room? That I did? That was being put online just now and it's all over the place. What that means we do it. We do our segment where we get to talk about we get to rant or talk about something for a five minutes on the Elvis tram Big Show, and I'll I my comment today was about how blt is not a sandwich. It's a fucking ripoff. You're you're paying for basically three add ons because bacon is added to something or a side of something else. Lettuce is an add on, and tomato is it's a bacon it's a bacon burger with no bait, with no burger. So if you yeah, if you ordered Belt at a BLT, why is that considered a fucking complete sandwich? Where's the main feature? Where's the fucking Now? If you give me turkey BLT, now that's a sandwich because you got fucking real. But people missing the points. The people were only thinking it through the lens of the definition, the definition of the word sandwich, because it is two pieces of bread. No, it's an incomplete fucking thing. I don't know. I never understood why people love Belt so much. It's a fucking nothing. It's a nothing burger. I like, literally literally, it's a nothing burger. I happen to love bacon and I love bacon with tomato. Yeah, so if you put enough bacon, I know, look, if you put two strips on a BLT, then yes, you're missing the burger. But if you put like six strips of bacon where the bacon is enough of like it's a burger size amount of bacon, and then put tomato on it, I will eat that shit up. That's why feel disgusting. Who could eat that much fucking bacon?

00:32:52
Speaker 21: You know what?

00:32:53
Speaker 1: Save it for the save it for the and in the meantime, go to my post if you can and uh and comment on that on Instagram and it's all yeah, people are I did a collab with them, so it's in my hard feed, so you'll see it if you know what I'm saying my hard feed, you know.

00:33:08
Speaker 5: Hard Brooklyn Boys back up from Becca.

00:33:13
Speaker 24: That's right with the tea they are cashing in on a TikTok trend. I'm surprised Scary hasn't seen it before, but yeah, people were putting tea bags in their sprite bottles and saying it was the most amazing thing ever. It went really viral, so I guess s Bright decided to cash in on that.

00:33:35
Speaker 1: Listen, anything they can do to join the way that on TikTok. But my algorithm did not serve me that. All right, let's keep going.

00:33:46
Speaker 24: Brooklyn Boys backing from Long Island guy Scary talking about his crush telling her look at me now, okay, Chris.

00:33:56
Speaker 1: Brown, very good, there you go.

00:34:02
Speaker 20: Thank you.

00:34:04
Speaker 1: I love that you guys are playing this game along with us.

00:34:07
Speaker 4: Then play on the talk backs Curtis from the main show and on Gandhi's podcast, curtisn exactly like Trucker might demeanor.

00:34:20
Speaker 1: It's Cadence and everything New York. He sounds it's Curtis.

00:34:24
Speaker 9: It's not.

00:34:25
Speaker 1: It's not just just saying Curtis has to do it, other things to do. He's a very busy man, very busy guy. Yeah, also sounds nothing like Trucker. Also, we had this message ten minutes ago, liam'.

00:34:38
Speaker 21: Andy the bus driver.

00:34:39
Speaker 12: Here what.

00:34:42
Speaker 21: I'm talking about three eighty four?

00:34:43
Speaker 1: Here the cat, the.

00:34:45
Speaker 21: Cat in the classroom, almost like the cat in the half.

00:34:49
Speaker 9: I'm kind of upset with the Trucker that he.

00:34:51
Speaker 21: Didn't come up with a song about the fucking cat.

00:34:55
Speaker 1: Okay, that's what I'm saying.

00:34:58
Speaker 21: Trucker, do better next.

00:34:59
Speaker 5: Time he is.

00:35:00
Speaker 1: I love the day is young and they still now maybe fifteen more of these to go.

00:35:05
Speaker 21: Handy back again. I really hope my last talkback went through and it sounds okay. Anyways, So I'm a volunteer firefighter when I'm not uh driving the bus, and I heard that talkback where she's going yeah now now now it reminded me of a fancy beast.

00:35:20
Speaker 1: Right, So we had a cat stuck on a roof.

00:35:22
Speaker 21: Right, You never see a skeleton of a cat on a roof anyways, So me and my boy go up there and we get it down, but I can't reach it. So well all I can do like this fucking cat's not coming to me, all right, and it's on steve roof, so that's thinging to see.

00:35:36
Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, now, now, many y.

00:35:40
Speaker 21: Right, And the goddamn cat cousin mi fuck had that work scooped it up. Thanks Fancy Beast. I saved the day and I have a video of it.

00:35:47
Speaker 1: Wow, just by meowing at it. And I don't think that was fancy Feast. I think that was meow mix, meow mix.

00:35:56
Speaker 14: Yeah, Hey, Brudy, I'm scariest Joe, Hey, California, scary. I can't believe after all that time you had to think about that story about the wet towel and you still didn't figure out that gravity is what keeps it wet on the bottom. Okay, do you also look at a flat tire and wonder why it's always only flat on the bottom.

00:36:20
Speaker 1: It's a great point worst things in life. So, by the way, by what do you think of this? As as as as a parody, Ready, you'll know the song drinks, milk from drinks, milk from bowls. My child is a Scottish fold. It's a type of cat centerfold. Yo yo, maw.

00:36:44
Speaker 4: N.

00:36:45
Speaker 9: No, it doesn't.

00:36:49
Speaker 1: Yes, it does, the humor does, but the references and the mentions and that it's a lot of dated stuff. Slicer, Oh boy, Reggie.

00:37:02
Speaker 5: Word got out that we.

00:37:05
Speaker 21: Were complaining that Elvis wasn't mentioning mentioning Brooklyn Boys.

00:37:09
Speaker 9: So the other day going the Big Show, he was like, I don't want to forget to mention Brooklyn.

00:37:13
Speaker 15: Boys, and then Nate, we only don't forget Brooklyn boys, and Scary even brought it up finally Scary Yes.

00:37:21
Speaker 1: So Elvis, Yeah, on Friday Mornings show, as a matter of fact, we were teasing that our friend Nicola and Jemmy from Mother Knows Death podcast on the Elvis Durand Network was going to be joining us on the show and we were going to be replaying a little bit of that. So at that interview, so Elvis says, yeah, that's coming up soon. That you know, Nicole and Jenny part of the Elvis Duran podcast of Network Network podcast along with Network along with Yeah, we have such beautiful podcasts on our on our site, such as such as Gandhi's Sauce on the Side. And then he says, oh, and let's not forget Danielle's Disney podcast once upon or whatever. And I said, how about them Brooklyn boys? How about them Brooklyn boys? And then he goes and then he continues, he goes, oh, we also have the Tommy de Dario podcast, and then Nate screams, how about them Brooklyn boys, and he goes back, you Nate, and Nate jumped in there too. We got about three or four mentions for the price of one in that very little segment, So thank you so much. But yeah, all right, Uh is that we're baby leave slicer? Oh yeah, no, that was We just did it that one. By the way, remember remember one people used to call up television stations and radio programs and yell, Baba bo what about like Babba Brooklyn Boys, Baba Brooklyn Boys. Now I don't do that, No, don't do that, not not to Olt, but do it to other shows. I'm saying, pull up other radio shows. I want to talk to you about about women dating the ex boyfriends, Baba Brooklyn boys, and then record yourself doing it and then record, then playback, play back the sound bite over a talk back and we'll play it back here. Boba, Brooklyn Boys.

00:39:18
Speaker 5: Brooklyn Boys always brook and scary, especially today Jesse from Virginia. Here, Brodie, how are you not beating your head into your desk listening to scary? Try and argue with you about how the washcloth and clothing drives. It's common sense. The what's gonna go from top to bottom, so the bottom is always gonna be wet longer. There's no way around it. Like, I don't understand how you're trying to argue this. It's just common See. Okay, you're definitely wrong here, stop trying to.

00:39:51
Speaker 1: I'm sorry, did she say something? It's the Brooklyn Boys podcast that I miss something? Oh I saw you? You you stepped away? Fro oh yeah, yeah, alright, let's play the next y'all.

00:40:02
Speaker 20: Yeah, Hey, Brooklyn Boys is Maria Freeman City, or as Brodie says, and fuck.

00:40:09
Speaker 10: As a woman with larger breasts.

00:40:12
Speaker 20: Yes, I do.

00:40:13
Speaker 4: Nickname them, but it's not a crass name.

00:40:16
Speaker 9: The name for mine are Burns and Noble.

00:40:20
Speaker 4: Noble is the right one.

00:40:22
Speaker 20: That's just how it is. I don't know.

00:40:24
Speaker 1: I don't have a crass name for them. It's either Burns and Nobles or taties. I love y'all, all right, Which was Barnes and which was Noble? She said the right one was Noble. Okay, but I guess he's calling them Barnes and Noble from the person's view looking at her, Barnes Noble, got it. Yeah, so Barnes is her right one, and Noble she's reading Brooklyn.

00:40:48
Speaker 18: Boys.

00:40:49
Speaker 1: Oh, we already know who it is. Motherfucking background noise. It's d B for a man.

00:40:53
Speaker 9: See.

00:40:54
Speaker 1: I just want to go ahead and say I'm sorry, fellas, I didn't get to take a.

00:40:57
Speaker 16: Picture of the biscuits of porn and send.

Speaker 18: Anyway.

00:41:01
Speaker 1: I had to death in the family during.

00:41:03
Speaker 16: My week of vacation, well actually the week before, right at start of the weekend.

00:41:06
Speaker 1: So I had to leave vacation and for a funeral on lake and all that good shit, and then go back to vacation.

00:41:10
Speaker 16: Because that's type of scary Jones move that. Yeah, I would love your thoughts on my scary Jones move or burying my uncle and going back to the beach the same day.

00:41:20
Speaker 1: Anyway, I was listening to.

00:41:23
Speaker 16: The previous, previous, previous episode because I missed the week when I was on vacation.

00:41:28
Speaker 1: I won't listen to the podcast. And anyway, you're.

00:41:29
Speaker 16: Talking about the girl that's a cat to send the school and causing all these damn problems.

00:41:33
Speaker 1: And you know, I'm not saying that we need to lock people up.

00:41:38
Speaker 16: All I'm saying is when we.

00:41:39
Speaker 13: Had a sale.

00:41:39
Speaker 16: Asylums and we put crazy people in the crazy house, shit like this won't happen it.

00:41:44
Speaker 1: It's very true. Well, we still have a satin sant asylums, but you're not gonna put a child in a the sant asylum. But I like the emotion behind it. Yeah, by the way, he asked you a question that maybe that's a topic for the Brooklyn Boys. Is it okay to go to a funeral for your uncle and then after the funeral go to the beach? Depends on how close you are with your uncle or how close you are to the beach, And would your uncle have loved it? If maybe your uncle would have wanted that for you? Okay, scary when your uncle died, the one who left you the paintings, Oh yeah, uncle gino Uncle Gino. Would you have gone to the beach? No, how about your aunt Millie? Now you've gone to the beach the club. I gotta be honest, No, I need to take a beat every single Yeah, you need to take some time. Would you go to a diner and throw your name around to get to cut the line? Maybe that all right? I'm done leaving talk bags for right now.

00:42:39
Speaker 16: I hope y'all boys have a great week.

00:42:41
Speaker 1: I'll probably pop up a little bit later.

00:43:31

00:43:32
Speaker 13: Man.

00:43:32
Speaker 1: You need to let Brody wait his peak there. You let him get a little taste to it. You know, if you want to do that, you just can't snip them in there like that, brother, Thank you?

00:43:40
Speaker 17: Sure?

00:43:41
Speaker 20: Boys?

00:43:43
Speaker 1: Oh here she is, fuck have fun, scary.

00:43:47
Speaker 20: I just heard you on the morning show talking about BLT Nott being a sandwich. I kind of see where you're coming from, because I feel like the bacon is just an extra sting for whatever protein is already on there. I totally get what you're saying that it's not a complete sandwich.

00:44:06
Speaker 1: I could kiss shut you.

00:44:07
Speaker 20: I'm in your corner, love y'all.

00:44:09
Speaker 1: Okay, thank you, Okay, but then we'll talk about this on the Brooklyn Boys. Don't address it now. But if a bot is not a full sandwich according to you, because it's just the toppers, then a grilled cheese is not a sandwich. It's just it's missing everything. Well, guy, that's what Kandi said, and I said it was a full sandwich. Let's talk about that on the Brooklyn boys ain't red, Yes, they ain't red.

00:44:28
Speaker 25: Scooty, Okay, you gotta stop doing that.

00:44:31
Speaker 1: Ain't right.

00:44:32
Speaker 13: Anyway, I wanted to talk about your uh, your building and your broken window. There not three towns on new window and just don't pray get well anyway, you know you were saying that that building there was designed.

00:44:46
Speaker 1: By an agent architect.

00:44:47
Speaker 13: Then you know he's on the run, you know, and I got to thinking, you know, Asian mic you know he's been missing in action.

00:44:54
Speaker 1: Maybe you think he's the architect.

00:44:56
Speaker 23: That Asian Mic man.

00:44:58
Speaker 1: He could have been the guy that then your building.

00:45:01
Speaker 23: And now he's you know, he's scared and on the run, you know, don't know where to go. You know, he was probably cutting corners, you know, to try and save up money for that big wedding with Mandy. You know that Manny I tell you see the firecracker. If things wouldn't have been right, boy, Agent Mike would have been in the doghouse for the rest of his life. But anyway, you know, he's on the run, you know, and don't know where to go. But Agent Mike, if you're out there, you can hear us. Don't be scared. Come on, we're here for you, buddy. We'll put money on the books. We'll do a gofund me.

00:45:28

00:45:34
Speaker 23: But anyway, we're here for you, Mike. Don't be scared. You know, the longer you run, they're gonna catch you anyway. So you might well just face the music, buddy, and remember we're here for you.

00:45:46
Speaker 1: Okay, guys, So that's all I got.

00:45:48
Speaker 25: I don't feel like saying play the jingle.

00:45:50
Speaker 1: Today, bitch, so that'll be the last one.

00:45:53
Speaker 23: Okay, guys, I love you, and Scooty stop doing the goddamn Sneaking's all right out you, No, I gotta stop.

00:46:00
Speaker 1: Boo yeah, prick, Yeah, oh boy.

00:46:02
Speaker 25: How come everything in your band nowadays gotta be made by two people. You can't simply past something made by Bob or Jim or Pod or Jimmy or Johnny or something. Everything's gotta be two people, Keenan and Kale, Shustern, Fitch or hard Castle and McCormick.

00:46:23
Speaker 1: You's gotta be made back two people. He worth the shit? Boos, Yeah, fuck, thank you all right, last one, David Brody, here we are. We've reached the end of our our plank. We're gonna have to jump here.

00:46:37

00:46:46
Speaker 9: Scary?

00:46:47
Speaker 1: Are you fucking kidding me? All right now? Like, seriously, are you kidding me? Are you?

00:46:53

00:46:55
Speaker 1: Like I am just dumbfounded. But man, you guys make some good content. Was rolling scary. God, bless your heart, thank you, and bless your heart too. I know you just fucking cursed at me because when you say bless your heart, you don't really mean it. That means to have a go fund yourself pretty much, right, That's what they say, bless your heart means. All right, David Brody, I think you've had enough. Thank you for your talkbacks this week. You're good. I'm good. We gucci. We'll see you a little later this week on the Brooklyn Boys. I'll at your boys at your Brooklyn Boys reactions. This podcast all depends on you.
