Speaker 1: You're doing to crash your car and now you're going to Grand Primotors to get the auto body work done to fix it. All right, So the story is, my daughter crashed her own car and she scraped up the whole side of the car. In the second day, enter our friends at Grand Primotors dot com because they have an auto body shop, and I happened to mention it to them that my car got scratched up. And we were visiting them in Brooklyn and Ralph says to me, we got an auto body shop. I said, I know, I do the commercials for you guys. He goes, no, let me see the pictures of the damage. She goes, We'll do that in a half a day. Auto body work is just one of the many services they offer at Grand Primotors dot com. One of the main ones, though, is leasing a new car, because who wants to go to dealerships anymore. That's like a thing of the past. By the way, what what dealership has every car? None know, but they have it at Grand Primotors dot com. You can go visit them online at g R A N D P R i X motors dot com or if you're in Brooklyn, go see them there on Coney Island Avenue nine right there and um, but they carry you. They will take care of you if you go to the website. It was a favor mentioned the Brooklyn Boys on there. Yeah, you figure out a place to go, buy your car ahead of time. You know you want to test drive it. You get you do all that stuff, you do your research and do your homework. Then you go to Grand Prix. They're gonna get you a quote within in your car and the car boom and you get that's that's the best part. And when we were there, they told us something I thought was fascinating. A big percentage of their customers never see them, never go there. They just do it all online and a car shows up at their house. And any car delivered from now until Thanksgiving, they will give you one hundred dollars cash back when you mentioned the Brooklyn Boys. Upon delivery of the car, you go there right, or you go online. You pick any kind of car you want. They will consumer shop and comparison shop for you. They'll give you the price to give you the quote. Right, you get the car, it gets to your house or you pick it up whatever, and then you go oh, yeah, the Brooklyn Boys sent me. They'll hand you a hundred dollars back. You'll get some pizza while you're there in Brooklyn, or give it to us and we'll get your t shirts. Brooklyn Boy on start up dot Up, Start Up, Brooklyn Boy, start up, Brooklyn Buy dat Up. They're making noise data up episode. This is the Brooklyn Boys. Yeah, you're already coughing. Not just one. I'm not still say I remember that disease you had a few weeks. I have bronchitis. It's gone now. Nobody got time for that. No, it's not well episodes seven through fifty even cause coughing, Like, I'm fine now two of my kids now have bronchitis. But I just heard that little coughing nod. We're back on that again. By the way, I am wearing the shorts that I was wearing the day that Greg t crapped all over the floor. Remember that it comes Danielle, come on, where's your card? You is? This? Is this the first appearance? Yeah, it is Danielle Minaro from Elvi stra in the Morning show Guy or podcast you to yourself later. I'm it's so excited, I'm gonna listen. Thank you so much for one behind and I know I have to listen in order. Well, now you're caught up because you're on this one. I'm on this one. This is three. Okay, I need to go. I don't want to be a snow what's great about Danielle? Yeah? What's goat about Danielle? She drops lines from our podcast all day, like during the show. Um, if somebody texts in, she knows what the texting about, she'll drop a line. She got the reference that we were given away we give away invisible Brooklyn boy shirts. Yeah, I wants she wants a medium, this one on your chair right there, go get it. I'm gonna work tomorrow. Threes, it doesn't matter. Well, I just want you to know I love your Guys podcast, and thank you for letting me come in and just you know, say hi for a minute. It means a lot. Want to you want to throw anything out there? I was? Is there a new episode of fetch Ham coming soon? Okay? So Danielle, Garrett and Gregg T from our show do a podcast called feedg Ham. They don't do it very often, and so our new co host Gandhi, who you guys heard on episode thirty one because you listen to order. Um, somebody texted in, hey, Gandhi should go on the fedg Ham podcast. As long as she can fit one every three months into her schedule, she should be able to do. What the problem is is that, Look, I was available a week this week. Unfortunately T has has a crazy week and you know he's going in so he's he's not in tomorrow, he's not in Friday. So it's it's tough. So I'm hoping next week we will do an episode we were supposed to do when this week did not happen. All right, if you haven't listened to any of them, please at least listen to have to listen to ours in order, because there's not many, right, you can listen to the four of them. I was just telling Brody that, um, as you walked in that I am wearing the shorts for the very first time, that that I wore the day that Greg t dropped, you know, crapped on the studio. He did, he went, he took a same shirt, by the way, it's the whole outfit and that white shirt on you know it was different. Yeah, but but but I had to have these shorts, especially dry. I didn't know if I had pupicles on it. You probably did because it's splattered everywhere. Because I was behind Greg t when that bit was going on. I was sitting, I was kneeling behind him, and he just splattered every I don't care. But now, are you still gonna listen to this episode because you're on it? I am. I would listen anyway even if I wasn't on it. You're on our show, the big show for like twenty two years now. She's excited about this. It's a small show. It's a small show, but I love your show. It's hysterical. I crack up left. And by the way, I made the mistake of tweeting that Danielle was our biggest fan, and a bunch of people got upset. I'm sorry. So she's one of the biggest fans, one of the biggest fans of the podcast. Thank you. But you know what, I feel like you keep me company a lot of times. It's a familiar feeling, like if I have a long drive, I'll put you guys on. And because you guys are like family, so it's nice to listen to you. I folk, you're in the car with me, maybe Invitus over one day we will be in the call right home with you. Yeah. Maybe next we do a podcast live in your car. You could do it a podcast from my pool. Yeah, next summer. Next summer, we're gonna do a pool podcast. I'm claiming the pepperoni pizza float. You have that one? Yeah, I want that one. You know, you have lots of food floats and avocado float. Not doing that one. It's extra, right, avocado floats always actually extra at least. Bye still here. It's nice to Yeah, he dropped your your free shirt. That's great. It's nice to have like legitimate people like that work here that actually listened to the West. Al I t guy high West, shout out West. You care to my desk to fix something? He goes, aren't you supposed to be recording right now? Right? He knows? Yeah. By the way, this is a Wednesday podcast recording. We got a text message that said, are you guys recording today? Well, a lot of people are onto that because they're texting in right, and they possibly know that unless you've been talking about going to Vegas tomorrow, I have Brooklyn Boys recording right now, says Eric two three. Uh, Eric, two five Brooklyn Boys waiting on the next episode hashtag the longer the better. Oh my god, shut the hell up and just play music. Jesus Christ, who's that person? I don't know. You know, everyone's a complainer. That's not to us. That's that's someone on the West coast who's three hour time delayed and that was complaining about our show. Or it's someone who wants to complain to their own radio station and think and thinks that I'm gonna go in on this motherfucker. So I responded back to them right before the podcast started. I said, Hey, we do a morning radio talk show and they just throw it back. It's lame. Oh, let's give his phone number out. No, I'll give his phone number out on the funk this guy. Let let our Brooklyn slice is go after him. This that that's shock chock radio. Dude. We don't do that. Yeah, but yeah, but this guy needs to be put in his place. We don't stick the pests on them. Which, by the way, if he got that reference area code two oh five, were are code five? Five? Is Philly five? I'm looking up right now that came and I don't want to see his number. Oh man, our listeners will go after this mofo. I don't like this. I don't think I definitely that's the that's kind of I'm too cool for that. And he complains about two five is in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. Okay, what's he got going on? It's more exciting. Let him go do it. There's plenty to do in Birmingham. It's a great town. Tuscaloosa, they got seafood. They had seafood Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa. Alright, Well, he's a big tuscaloser about that hashtag tuscaloser. You know, watch though he's watched. He's from Alabama, Tuscaloose area, but he's hanging out in New York because cell phones. You can't tell anymore. Before I forget, I just want to send out a blanket. We're good now. If you guys are on Instagram and you see the chalkboards of the ten common grammatical errors, we got it. We're good. Totally appreciate you thinking about us. It's a credit to the stick we've established. But we're good now. We don't need it anymore. We don't need the Starbucks drive th h r you th hu r third about the pen is broken, penis broken. We got that with that one. Go with that one. Pen is broken, penis broken, it's on the A t M. Yeah, we're good, but try to stick to things you took a picture of if you can that, we love those. The other thing speaking of I'm good, we're good. I'm good with you pointing out that I look like La La Kent's oh yeah, I'm good. Yeah, we're okay. There's a guy, his name is Randall Emmett, and if you google him, this guy looks exactly like me. And I'm like, I'll be the first to admit it, because usually when somebody points out a potential doppelganger, you're like, yeah, they don't look like me. No way, I'll tell you that this guy looks like me. So in fact, I had a double I'd actually do a double and triple take when I saw some of these pictures and angles of this dude, because they because a lot of times, you know, e entertainment, you know, well, Will will post something or People magazine or TMZ and they'll post this guy and I'll just get an influx of Randall Emmett pictures again. Fiance of La La Kent from Housewives of Beverly Hills whatever or hip hop wives, I don't know who she was, whatever, And when she posts something on Instagram, same thing. So recently they got engaged. So anytime they're walk in a red carpet, there's a couple of shots that look exactly like me, Like, holy sh it, did I walk that red car Is that? I will say that guy is a little heavier than you, he's a fatter in the face and the whole thing, but he looks like he does look like you? Right? Is another thing I want to say, since we're talking about that, and and this doesn't go just for me, it goes to anybody. If you see a homeless guy on the street right and he looks like your buddy Phil, you don't go to Phil and go hey, I saw this disgusting, dirty guy covered in bugs with his unshaved beard. I took his picture. Look you look like right. No, there's a just in life, not just with me, but in life. If you see someone who is not flattering and picture is not flattering or it's not something you would aspire to look like, don't tell someone you look like them, Hey, you look like Pop. By this sailor man, that's not a compliment. Compliment. Yeah, hey, if the rock got hit by a truck, you look just like that, So hold off on the Hey, Brody, you look like the guy on this thing. No, it doesn't matter what I get. It's just I don't want to be compared to something that you wouldn't want to be compared to. Ye, but if you see a picture of just like that, if you see it, if you see a picture of Brad Pitt right or um, you know, hey, people who preparing me to Tom Cruise, I'm like, oh, David Swimmer, I'm like Swimmer, okay, yeah, but think it through. Don't be like, oh look at his picture. It looks like you and that guy is not attractive. What am I supposed to do with that? Go? Yeah, I guess they do. Thanks, thanks a lot, which is like saying, wow, you look like an ugly guy I just saw a picture of. And I'm not saying anyone's done that, but I kind of am. So if you see someone who's attractive, I probably don't look like them. But so don't send me that picture either. I'm good. Hey, pro do you look like Ronald McDonald? Look? I got a picture of Ronald McDonald looks like you. You guys have big feet, you look just like him. I don't need that. Yeah, the same thing with scary. If you see someone who looks like him but ugly, they'll go you look like him. If they're hot, I'll take it. But yeah, but ran On, it's like, I'm good with it. It's like you're you're over your aunt's house and you're like, Oh, I was at a restaurant. I had the worst spaghetti and meatballs. It reminded me of spaghetti. Meant balls you'll make and and June just like yours, just like that. That's not a compliment. Sometimes coincidences better left unsaid. So yeah, so so I'm good with the random limit pictures. Please know more of those? Should we talk about the video? You stole them mine? When did I steal Jimmy found video? Oh god, are you still on that? Yeah? Because you you? You? I, I you I you put on wacky waving inflatable flailing tube. And by the way, if I say five of the names and not six, give me a break. If I say wacky waving, um flying to like, you're like, no, it's flailing people. Some people don't know what that is. It's from family guy. That's not a real name. That's their name for it, wacky waving inflatable arm flowing tube man. But it's not like the official If you want to buy one, you don't call up a company and go, can I get one of those wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man? Yeah? Right, So Jimmy Fallon was here, who I love, adore Jimmy Fallon, and uh, we put that on and it was it was hitting him and it was knocked him over. And I took video from my phone and I put on my Instagram account and as you re grabbed it, re grabbed it, so I regrabbed it, and then you know it would say re grabbed from at David Rody whatever, or if you put the little camera logo, which I think is kind of shitty because that's what it's. No, No, it's really small. You should write video film by David Brody because we're boys, we're partners here. But what you did was on Twitter where the video isn't seen right, just the link you wrote blah blah blah Jimmy Fallon and studio blah blah blah and little camera at David Brody camera with it with the flash on it, so someone would have to click that link, go back and look at the video. What you did was you used it for your instant story, and on your instant story you put it in there right used my video. Didn't mention it in the instant story, even though on the bottom of the instance store you put like a yellow border, plenty of room right there for at David Brody filmed this video a little bit nicephemeral, don't don't. I don't know what you're talking about. It's the story is ephemeral. It lasts twenty four hours and it's gone. That Twitter post is there not if somebody screenshots it, I would have I would have liked that, a little little video log, That's all I'm saying. But didn't we in a previous episode talk about when to give proper credit and when not to for pictures and video, Like if I take a picture of you with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background, do I really need photo credit? Do you have to say if I took the picture, if I took a picture of you Brodie, yeah, you're gonna put you know, you have to do that for everything and it becomes cumbersome. I just think taking the video when you put like nine, you're the king of hashtags. You're the king of acts. Everybody knows that. In fact, you posted something of the day you put three hashtags, and someone commented, he's here you all right, you put three hash taggs. I'm like you. You go you when you do your snapchat, you sit there and you add everything. You add everything to take your a maniac. That's why I sort of like, like, well you couldn't at David Brody would have killed you. Well, I will say I am obsessive, compulsive. It's a problem. Right, Like if it was me, I don't normally like tech tech tech take tech tach tag my instant stories. Don't really doing stories very often. And if I left you out, I'd be like, well I don't put anything, but you put like nine other things and it was room. So I'm just saying it would be nice with the herbs. The herbs you burped it up. Yeah, that was weird. There's goat cheese in the refrigerator back there, and like if you had like cow cheese, which by the way, is like redundant, you wouldn't go like you wouldn't like mood, you wouldn't do that. But if you make like a goat, anyone comments the goat, they have to go back. It wasn't bad, right, yeah, right, go cheese? Right? If I like goat cheese, isn't it really just cream cheese and disguise goat cheese is cream cheese. There are some people that hate it, like, oh my god, goat cheese. It came from a goat. It's cream. It's cream cheese. Cream cheese is from It's like, no but cream. They have the same consistent Philadelphia cream cheese not from Philly. Why do people hate goat cheese just because of the names? Yeah? I just think it's like because I think like cheese, people just go it's cheese. They leave it alone. I don't think about it like you don't think like it's it's female cow cheese because it sounds like when you say goat cheese to me, it sounds like like like head cheese, like pa cheese, like belly button cheese. Like I don't want to if you called cow cheese cheese, if you called cheese, would you eat horse cheese? Why not? Why not? What's the difference? Who's to say what animal? Who's to say what animals? Milk were used for cheese? Rightly, you had pig cheese, gopher cheese, So I was like, gophers don't like kate. I don't think you were aware. I don't care. And every animal can make cheese. Don't tweet, man, don't care if gophers and make cheese or not. No. I just I just feel like, like, we eat we meaning uh, humanity, not you if you're like I'm a vegan. We eat cows, we eat pigs, right, some people eat deer, wheat, goats, wheat, lambs. Most people don't eat horse. Now I understand that. Somebody like it's tough, it's muscular, it's it's whatever. I just feel like, why why not horse milk? I would still rather drink horse milk than white milk. Fuck white milk, it's fucking milk. I'm sorry. I'm still pissed him last week because somebody somebody here said it like what's the difference. So I wanted to tell you this is really bothering me, and I might want to get my mom on the phone for this. But yeah, yeah, I put this on my answers story. Okay, before you continue, if we put your mom on the phone, then a week later, my mom is gonna be like your mom on the phone. I love my mom too, we'll say. I posted on my answers story right after I didn't give Brody credit for the Jimmy Fallon the next day, I was actually at a barbecue with my family in Brooklyn, and I was in the living room. And we have a wall, like a wall unit with like shelves, right, and then I'll show unit with shelves like a wall unit. It's like a wall unit. Have no but they're they're like a little mini shelves. Compartments for a limited amount a brick and pictures and yeah, a limited amount. You have a wall with a mirror like aig. Of course, yeah, of course you do. You don't have one of those. I didn't have your time something. Yeah, so that not Wait a minute, wait minute, does your Florida it's Florida ceiling, right? Yeah, do you guess because you didn't have any like gold squiggles around the edges. Well, not in my house and my grand my grandmother and my Amili's house, they have the squiggles plastic on the couches of Grandma's yeah. And Millie takes the TV remote, she goes a step further and she will wrap it in saran wrap. Yeah. So so doesn't want a greasy remote, so she wraps everything in plastic. She'll wrap I mean, and yet she had kids the yeah, and she should wrap everything in place. And so I was at my parents and the wall unit has limited space for pictures, and I noticed that there are no pictures of me. I'm like, huh, there's not one freaking picture of me anywhere on my wall unit, in like in the shelving area at your parents house. My parents are upon further inspection, Brodie, I see in the very back of one of the shelves an old picture of me framed graduation, at my graduation. And hold on, greg T is trying to come in here. What is this today? The whole cast of fetch hands walking in another fetch hammer. Dan Yelle already came in. Yeah. So, by the way, when Danielle was here, I wanted to say greg T was ranting in the background in a good way, not upset, right right right, proud of himself because I said, we got a text. I told Danielle about the text message about Gandhi was very funny. Yeah that I'm sure once every three months you can fit into a schedule to a fedg Ham episode. And Greg T, We're not gonna say what it is. I don't even know. Gregg T is saying how he is gonna revolutionized podcasting. Well r he has he has an angle on this podcast, a complete boot the fedch hamd No, he can't yet know that. The next by the way, so sometime in December, when the next episode of fedch Ham comes up right now as we're recording this at September, right, so faket December maybe early nineteen. Yes, it is like a movie trailer when the movie is coming out next year. Fedg Ham is gonna land with like explode, like boom Fedchham two point. Oh, it's just gonna complete. It's unreal. I've given it some thought and uh so I sold it to um Danielle and to Garrett who you fetch Ham with, and they both bought it. They like it. It's a it's a new idea about fedg Ham on the new direction of fed chan and it's actually gonna make It's all gonna make sense. You know, it's gonna be like a retooled all the silliness, all you know, the name, everything that's all gonna come together. Garrett. Garrett did tell me a little bit that he pieced together from what you said. Why does that dude gonna tell everything? So apparently what you apparently I don't understand everything I tell that dutey tells everybody. So this is what Garrett told me. Apparently, what you guys are gonna do is gonna complain about stuff. You're gonna rant, You're gonna do unused jokes, You're gonna call out snowflakes, right, You're gonna you're gonna put your moms on on the podcast. Right, You're gonna right here, that's you guys. What's called the Jersey Boys. Listen, Jersey Boys. Um, I think that's taken. But no, I think for real that that. No. I looked around and I surveyed everybody here at I Heart, and he checked. He checked all eleven podcasts in the world that's right, and there's nobody doing what this particular podcast stamp collecting. Right, So we're still gonna be We're still gonna go to Fedgville and we're still gonna you know, have you know, hokey dokey stuff like the Land of make Believe, like Mr Rodgers is that. So when you go to fetch Ham, you go to Fedgville and then you know there you pick up a lily pad and then you sit on a lily pad and then you get ready and the King comes in and there's so many things that happens in fed You anyway, So it's all gonna come together and and everybody's gonna go, oh my god, I totally get it, like this is this is the way it should have been. So I want to be able to break that news when this episode goes up, this earth shattering news thing. Can we can we talk about I want you to come in and go, guys, it's happening. Everybody's gonna like it. And Elvis Duran himself is gonna say, it's gonna come. It's gonna say, you know what, I get it. It's really good the magic wand is it gonna be so good that you finally do a promo because I don't know if you guys doesn't have to stay in the morning show. We when we go to commercial only, it's Brooklyn Boys, Walkers and Talkers and Brooks as well the fifteen Minute Morning Show. I'll Scary and Eye both on. You know what you're like, you're like Law and Order, xPy, all of them. Yeah, I'm on all the shows. You know they have now Now Chicago, they got Chicago five, Chicago, Madi so they you know, they do crossovers sometimes. On the Walkers and Talkers podcast, I'll make a Brooklyn Boys reference and people go, oh my god, my world's are blurring. Right, Yes, you know who else does that weight on? On the w B they do it with the Flash and Cross and Supergirl, the Cross, yes, and the Legends, the Legends tomorrow. Yeah. Right, and there's gonna be another good one this season. I know you like it. I like that girls yea Backgirl's gonna be awesome. I can't wait to watch Get Up. But anyway, so there you go. So but you know what, though you're all fair get out. But you know what, but based on based on some of the things we just talked about, great reference, you might some of those things roll into Green Arrow trivia. Is that what's gonna be? Like? I'm just saying, okay, little Taca. Guyrett told me to be TV reviews every week and recaps. All right, thank you Greg t Wow, there you go. That's cool. So um As I was saying, how many times get interrupted one picture on this picture in the right did a picture that used to be in the foreground is now behind the picture of my nephew. Lucas's problem. The problem is Lucas is growing older. He's my he's now nine years old, my sister's kid, my nephew, my back. So my mother and father are so proud of their little grandson that he is now taking over the wall unit slowly, and they are now bumping pictures of me. I couldn't believe it. I was like mortified. I was like, that's what that's what happens with sad. You know. I didn't even confront them. I just put it on my instag brought my mother. My mother texts me the next day because she trolls my Instagram when I'm not looking. She has a she has an Instagram account with no picture on it that she uses just to troll her kids and friends. Family. By the way, if I find out your mother takes my Jimmy found video for our instagrams, so she goes. She texts me just I can't even leave you alone in the living room. You're dangerous. And I said, what are you talking about? She I show your Instagram story, Like, my mom is upset that I was that I put that out there for everybody to see. And I exposed. Did you move the picture to the front your old picture? No? I left it in the back. See, I'm an only child. I have this problem. My my mom is I'm I'm the king. So you own the refrigerator. So my pictures, yeah, but Mike, I have kids, she's a grandma. Their pictures are there. But but also mine, well, we have three kids to worry about and my Now my nephew who literally has taken over every Now, your brother, he's not seen anybody, is he? He's married? My brother got married. I didn't ask you that. I said, he has he seen anybody on the side? Right? No? He brush? Yeah, yeah, he didn't have kids, right, Nope, but he's going to right. You get the impression, I'm assuming eventually. How long has he been married? Two years? There's no pictures to him on the uh wedding photos are there. That's a big slap in the face slash hint. Yeah, all right, that's like scary you want it your picture back. I wanted to be a fisher, so I was gonna whoa, whoa. I just realized something. If you never make it a fisher with anybody, if you say you're not getting married, like you've said many times, you're a picture may never end up on the mantel on the picture. It'll be like back to the future where it just fades and then you disappear. That's what's gonna happen. I'll be fading into oblivion because I was gonna because you've got really nice pictures with your lovely girlfriend. Yeah, well you're dressed up even where weddings. You're attractive couple. Well, thank you. You guys looked like you should looking at Randall and and La La Kent. No, it's close though your girlfriend looked like La La Kent. But you you and you go you. I'll tell you this. You. You know how the special water seeks its own levels. Right, you and your girlfriend, you both have the look like you're either related or you're a couple. Okay, I don't. Thankfully you're not related, but you do have a thing of cousins and your family getting married. So I'm saying you might be people in your family or attract these people look like them. David Brodie. That was David Brodie who says that you you cousin Italians date that. No, I did not your family, your cousins got married. I'd saying about Italians. I love Italians. My uncle married in Italian. My first cousin's half Italian. It's your favorite cuisine. I'm as Italian as can be without being Italian. It's your favorite cuisine and Italian. I gotta say, I I don't know Italian and Chinese are tied. Yeah, I can't. Yeah, I can't decide between If either one's in the house, I have to eat it like I can't wait left over first stake. So am I you still? Yeah, that's the sort of point. I brought that up on purpose. So should I call my mom and call around on this? Well, if you call your mom, then I gotta call my mom. Talked about pick my picture of being out and what she thinks about your picture not being out? Hi Mom, Hi Anthony. Hi, you're you're on the Brooklyn Boys podcast. Oh okay, Hi, I'm good. Yeah, So I got a question for you. Yes, Remember the other day when I went to my and I put on my instant story the fact that there was no picture of me on the wall unit and you've hit it behind other pictures. Yes, I do. You texted me about that, but we never really spoke about it. So I figured this would be the perfect forum. Oh okay, well, right now I'm shopping with Jennifer. But where are you were? Industry City. Industry City, by the way, a beautiful part of Brooklyn that used to be a bunch of old, burned out factories and now they're filled with giant It's a giant shopping center with all these stores. So yeah, so so tell me really quickly why you did that, Like, why why did you hide a picture of me? Are you embarrassed me? Actually didn't hide hit with a any lady came the day before. She puts all in different places, So I guess you just did it according to size. But if you looked on the other side of the wall, you would see that they were pictures. Just do a wedding, Jennifer's wedding. No, no, that those don't count because those are those are Jennifer's wedding. That's part of a picture. Seem you see, My mom is trying to make the case. Now that's that that because I'm not one of nine people in a picture that that counts. No, no, no, it does not go no, no, no no. I need an individual shot of me, like a picture of my graduation or something, so I can actually be there in a frame by myself. Why I hear Lucas has taken over the furniture, is what I'm hearing. Yeah, well, what can I tell you? Yeah, if you know what's going to happen, that's gonna be it. He's really going to be showing. That's what I said. If Stephen has a kid, he's screwed. Now, well, Steven, I don't know. But so so here's another question. Um Scary pointed out your son pointed out that there's a there's a wedding picture of your daughter and her husband, and there's a wedding picture of your other son and his wife. Right, yeah, but but there's no picture of Scary with his longtime girlfriend. Boy. Now is that because it ain't official, It ain't getting framed. If you like it, then you better put a frame on it. It is a picture, but it's a Yeah, it's the garage right in the bathroom, Okay, now that's okay. But I'm just saying, no, he's hard, he's he's hard to the graduation picture of me was was buried. Honestly, Lady Kate, she's gonna she's gonna blame the lady that does not understand English. So, yes, it would be nice if I had a picture of me, you know, graduating or something something fun. Is that? Is that? Okay? You don't want a graduation picture, it's so long time ago. Okay, So then what's a nice life event that's recent that you can have a nice picture of me that's that's modern. Maybe a picture of scary way to celebrity. Oh no, all right, that's fine. Well they went to Hawaii together. There's some lovely pictures of them in Hawaii. Yes, yes, I should look for he posted. Okay, well that would be nice that that would be great. Thank you so much. But but again, just just to confirm one more baby, and he's off the thing completely right, that's kind of ye with something else. Pressure, Thank you, thank you? All right, Now, I know, let's talk. Let's see the difference when it's an only child. Let's put my mom on the phone. Mamma Brodie, Mom yes, Hi, good morning, scary, good morning, David is awesome. It hello to me on the whole phone. That's what. It doesn't count. She knows it's scarce Brody. How you doing? I just have good man as David. I you know I love you more than anything. Mama Brod, all right, we're gonna we're gonna use my my not my first name anymore. It sounds weird. Okay, alright, So alright, so here's the thing. Uh, explain the situation to my mother. What's going on in your parents house? Okay? The family is growing, time is moving on. You a brother and a sister, a brother and a sister, and there's a milestone. Events have happened, and therefore I am losing space in the picture frames that are being displayed because they were running out of space for them. So my so I kind of I had the last remaining picture of me from my college graduation twentysomething years ago, was the last remaining single picture of me in a frame that was displayed, and now it's behind other picture. Now it's beaten. It got buried behind other pictures because my nephew Lucas is getting older and now he's taken over the picture friend, the grandkids, the one grandson's got the pictures right, and then my brother's marriage and my sister's marriage, like I have to compete with all these events on my parents wall unit and I I and there's no space for me. And since he's dating a girl for eight years, but then I'm married, there's no picture he married to her up on there, there's no picture of them together. But then you have to do something important to get yourself in the pictures. You have to eat the robber bank, you know, something worthwhile that they would put your picture out right right now? You're not important, thank you. I'm an only child, you're a grandmother three times over. But there's still pictures of me, Like I don't have siblings, have no competition, but you would never bury my picture behind other pictures. Are you kidding? You're the most important thing. Yeah, you get priority. You're an only child, that's right. And even my important I had siblings, she got rid of them because they were perfect, were perfect. You're perfect. I said that great, that's right, Mama Brodie. You know you're gonna have to talk some sense into my parents because they don't seem to think I'm a priority anymore. Just because I'm not making life events and milestone markers in my world doesn't mean that they my pictures get to be buried and disappeared from the wall. Here, I have a solution. Send me a picture of you, and I'll put it in my house. Well, you know what funny you mentioned that I do have an eight by ten glossy of me. He doesn't want a headshot autographed. Well, i'll give you a Brooklyn voice picture. You can put it off this way. I'm still there. Yeah, that would be all right. I could sort of adopt you, and then you could tell your mother if she wants to see a picture of you, she can come to my house. Okay, I'm standing on the left, Mama. For the wind, I'm standing on the left and the picture. W okay, I like the lift. I'm leftfect so is hey scary's left handed? To all Rightesome? Well, thank you so much. That's how you off. She's gotta go now. No what else? What's what's for dinner? No dinner, I'm starving? Please? What about when the sun goes down later? Dinner? Something? No bagels, bagels and locks? Oh yeah, there you go. I've been fit it out. I'm getting whitefish, bagels and locks, a little red onions, even chopped livers she bought. My friend bought everything you like, chopped liver. Now, that's how Brody treats me here on the show. I don't want to be reminding that. All Right, Brody had a time today, he did. He had a very good segment Rosalie from the news. Yeah, we're gonna talk about that right now, by goodbye bye, allright, We'll talk to you later. And what she's referring to the fact that Brody has this program that shows who unfollowed him on Twitter, and so when Nez Rosales, the TV reporter from Channel five in New York, unfollowed Rody Brody publicly, I guess you publicly embarrassed her by saying no, no, I didn't no, no, I did not say bye, as I explained on the Big Sta Okay, because you do have a program that runs in the background, and as soon as run in the background and people on the car, but publicly for following me, it's supposed to be like to be for you just saying like ha ha, got you. I caught you in following me. So I'm gonna public wrong. Play that drop. You have that drop the guy going wrong wrong? Pull up the buzzers and dings page pull up. Yeah, see if I if I did a justice, I have the brooken boys page pulled up too late. The time has passed. I say, here's the deal. I need the producer. I keep that on to see if celebrities unfollowed me and anyone I know right, to see if anyone, like like a friend unfollowed me, because sometimes you accidentally unfollow people. Sometimes you unfollow people and then you refollow them and they go, oh, we're of something. I said, Like, there's one person who follows me. He's a big Mets fan. I'm a Mets Fanmily talk all the time. But if I make a political joke or there's an event or debate or something on that he thinks I might make a joke about. He doesn't care what my political opinions are, my jokes. He'll unfollow me for for a couple hours, knowing that I might tweet something that will upset him, and then he refollows me. I'm going with that's fine. I get it. He could have hit me and unhitten me. But that's so you you want to know the reason why people like this. That's why I want us to cop I'll tell you his couple of reasons. Number one, if somebody that I really enjoy interacting with on follows me, I want to know that if I did, God forbid, I offended them. Sometimes, as you know, when you text or you tweet, you can't always convey the emotion that you want and people might take things the wrong way. Right. I wrote a joke two days ago that was, let's say, very vanilla ice cream, but uh, a fan of vanilla ice cream attacked me as if I had written road chocolate. And I'm like, oh dude, I'm vanilla like. I don't read the thing stop exactly right. And so you know Stacky like Life of Stacky Sheet. So I don't check this app every day, to be honest, I check it every couple of weeks. But it shows you, like the days that people un followed you. You can look and you don't look. Just go in your app store and look for unfollowed apps. You don't have to like ask me which is one it is. This one's android it's called Status Brew. There is a hundred of them anyway, So I'll look and go oh, yesterday I lost twenty five followers, and I go, what did I What did I tweet? Like? Did I make a what did I do? Yeah? So I like to know, And I've explained this because I tweet different things. Like you tweet mostly about your social life and the show. I tweet about the show, but I also tweet jokes and monologue material and political commentary in a fun way. But I also tweet sports things, and so if you follow me for my sports things, you might like, go oh, he's making jokes. He's told about the other straight in Morning Show, and I don't want to so I can't appeal to everyone. People will follow me because I'm a MET fan, right, they may not want to hear about the others straight in Morning Show who we have on as a guest. And then I go so annoying he posts about the morning Show. So I know I'm gonna lose people because I have a variety of people follow me for different reasons. So I like to know, Oh, what did I do that set people off? Or did I Oops? I may have said something and people took the wrong way. So I like to know, right, that's one reason. Number two, if something I care about on follows me like could have been a mistake, like the lovely Innez Rosales, I can go, oh, line has unfollowed me, so then why don't you privately message her and be like, hey, why do you unfollow? You know what, I'll tell you why, And sometimes you have to make it hold on, hold on, hold on, hold by. It might get public, but only people that followed hers should have seen it, or me should have a right. That's how it works. I said by like as I said on the Morning show when she called that was I used the sad fund even though there's really no sad fund. But it was more like, oh, by because I kind of felt like she wouldn't have a reason unfollowing me because we love each The problem with words over text russ Um seeing someone in person, I didn't I didn't want to, right. I didn't want to say, oh, why did you want follow me? Because if they're like because you're an asshole, then I don't want to hear that. It's hurtful. Plus there's really no good answer, right she took it as by Felicia like by like okay, right again again, it's I should have put a smiley face I think I did. I think I put a sad emoji next to it. But anyway, the point is or you could have been like, hey, what did I do to deserve follow? No, normally would I do what I did when I like, when I had like two thousand followers, I would say, hey, Sawry, I lost you as a follower. I hope I could win you back some day, right, because I do want to entertain people. I do want people. Yeah, but it was I have to be honest with you. It was late at night. I was bored. I think it was Sunday night. There was nothing on television that I hadn't already watched, and I was like, going through the app, I'm like, some guy, this is the plot that really throw me. I like to look sometimes because this app shows you how many followers they have and how many people they follow, and a lot of times if you're new to Twitter, or if you only follow like like if you only follow the people in the Elves Straight Morning Show, you only follow the fifteen of us, right. Oh, somebody on text said that they follow everybody except me. Because it seems like I'm desperate. Something's come across on social media. I don't I'm not desperate. You know what you're missing out if you're not following you. If you follow the fifteen of us or twelve of the fifteen of us, and like you like Selena Gomez, Let's say you follow like fifteen sixteen people. If one of us sends out two or three tweets, it's gonna look like your timeline is all my tweets. You might be like, oh, Skuy Brody tweets all the time, I got on follow him, right, I can't follow fifteen people, right, so it looks like I'm tweeting a lot. But if you follow a hundred hundred, two hundred three four hundred people, then you occasionally see everybody. Well, a guy unfollowed me who has I don't know, a hundred thousand followers a lot of followers, but I'll tell his name to I'll look up the app. He follows one point eight million people. Okay, so that would get to me because it's like, really right, that's why I got to me freaking people, But how did you even notice me? One point eight million people and you took the time to unfollow me? Like, so that means you did something or said something that he didn't agree with. So he's like, funck this guy. Yeah, so I'm looking on that look. People were like, oh, gonna un follow him. So he sees to unfollow him and asked me to radio Jeff, fuck you, Jeff. Jeff the Engineer unfollowed. He follow unfollowed me because web girl Kathleen said I don't follow her, and he's like, well he doesn't follow me, so I'm gonna unfollow him. That's how Twitter works. Okay, I've explained this before. Tweeter doesn't work with will I followed you? You have to follow me? No no, no, no, no no no no. You follow people whose tweets you want to read, right, hopefully you want to read my tweets. I follow people whose tweets I want to read. Now. I love Jeff right, but I don't know if necessarily I enjoy his tweets. But if he enjoys my tweets, God bless him. But people like, hey, can I get a follow back? No, I don't know you. I don't know necessarily what you tweet about. Sem team follow back. If someone says, hey, man, can you follow me on Twitter, I'll follow you back, no problem. Instagram is a different story because I got you know, I got my pp wh act. By Instagram, you could only follow a maximum of seven thousand five people on Instagram. That's the max, so there's a ceiling. So I try to follow people back like crazy on Instagram, but um, they were like no, and I tried to get back and forth with them. As I turned out, the official answer is no, sorry. Even though you're a verified account, you can't follow more people. So what does one like me to do? I have I follow five thousand people, and then I interchange, I follow and unfollow people, and like you know, I'll see a bunch of pages, I'll follow them, and then I'll unfollow them, then I'll follow other pages. So then people accuse me of playing the follow unfollowed game when all I'm really doing is just wrote like rotating people in and out because there's a maximum amount of people. You spread Scary Jones love. That's what I do, and at seven maximum, that's that's all I can do. But on Twitter, it's fair game. You asked me to follow you on Twitter, I'm gonna follow you back, that's all. So why don't you follow people back? Brodie? I use Twitter to read what I want to read. I use Twitter to follow the people in the news, in sports, in politics, in entertainment, whose tweets I need for work and whose tweets I enjoy get a laugh at and from people I know, right, celebrities, I like different things. I don't use it to stockpile people I follow and unfollow. I use it to read tweets. So every time I add someone, the odds of me seeing a tweet from someone I had before decreases by that much. Because now, let's say I follow Joe Schmo. If Joe Schmo tweets ten times a day, then I'm gonna see his tweets mixed in with the tweets I really wanted to see. So it's not personal. But he's what I tell everybody. And I've said this before. I tweet back to people who tweet me. Now what's more important? What's more valuable that I follow you and I ignore I don't read your tweets, or that I actually interact with you And if you have a question, I answer it, and if you have a compliment, I thank you. That's what I do, that's my that's how I handle social media. I'll say this though, now that we're talking. I would hope based on how many people I know listen to this podcast and how many people follow me on Twitter, I'd like to get my Instagram numbers up a little bit. I have to say, well, wait a second year, now, maybe if you stopped dealing my videos. That was never that was never a priority for you, Brodie. You used to be like, yeah, Instagram, Instagram, who cares? Now I enjoy Twitter more than Instagram, But that doesn't mean I would I would like people to enjoy the pictures I post, the ones I post, get a lot of good feedback, all right, So then then why don't we try and get those numbers. What I'm saying is, at the time of this podcast, I have around sixty thousand Twitter followers, which I'd like to get up as well, and I have only like twenty seven thousand Instagram. So hello, thirty thousand other people people are listening to this podcast right now, That's what I'm saying. So they don't and they don't follow either one of us, So maybe you should follow us on social media. That's what I'm saying, because now even if you listen to this podcast twice, we still know how many people are listening and more people listen than follow us on social media. Interesting, So yeah, that's okay. So you might not want to you might want I went back. Maybe you just want to hear us and you don't want to see us. That's fine with that. I'm okay with it. It's been the story of my life. So um, you know, Brodie, I got unused jokes today, by the way, and I have an unused bit that I've tried to get Elvius to do and he won't do it, So I'm gonna do it tonight. It's the it's the post malone bit, the post malone bit. You haven't do that later. I wish I had music for that. You didn't tell me about it. No, you know what I'm gonna need. I'm gonna need the probably the chorus, but I have the lyrics, have the lyrics. So um, I was gonna tell you what else I have? What I have? People coming over this weekend. Yeah, we're gonna be grilling, Yes you are, because the weather regardless this is again, it's not gonna get called out here in the New York Try State area. We gotta get those grilling days in now for us, outdoor grilling and especially on Sunday when you got the games on the background, you're watching your favorite team. Why don't you do what we did, pick up a package of Feltman's of Coney Island hot Dogs, the original and did by Charles Feltman in eighteen sixty seven. We've told you the story before. Nathan worked for him and then started his own business afterwards, So why not go and get the original? Um, there is of course a brick and mortar store. We went there, Brody and I visited when we were in Brooklyn, right there on Surf Avenue and Coney Island Feltman's of Coney Island. Uh. And then there's also one of the East Village. Brody meant to tell you that we got a personal request if we could stop by the St. Marks. St. Mark's Place, the legendary area East Village, Manhattan. They have a Feltman's of Coney Island hot Dog store store there, so we should go there one day. But most of you are not going to be able to visit either location because you you know, you're listening around the country. So why don't you pick up a package at Mrs Green's Morton Williams, your local Fairway, And of course most of all Amazon dot com and jet dot com and their website felt Men's of Coney Island dot com. Feldtman is spelled f e l t m a N. By the way, yeah, Felmons of Coney Island dot com. I want to read a tweet we got in regards to Felopment's hold on a second from Joe Waldo four. He said, I'm not normally a big hot dog fan, but you guys are making Feltman's at Feltman's hot Dog sound really damn good. So I went to jet dot com to get his, and well he hasn't got him yet. He tweeted me, I want to feedback, feedback, or feed me another Feltman's of Coney Island. You know, and this is not just us saying it um publications like The Gothamiss, Barstool Sports, the New York Post saying things like it's the best hot dog I've ever had in my life, most likely the best hot dog you you'll ever eat in your life. This is the top hot dog on Coney Island. Well that's because there's no fillers and and and no unnatural ingredients, so you're you're not only enjoying it there's no nitrates to think about what you're eating. That's the best part for me. Pick him up today Feltman's Feltman's of Coney Island dot com. That's their website. Now, what is this with people having their birthdays? And I don't know if you know, you're not much of a clubgoer, Brody, you know you don't really hang out of bars and restaurants. But I want to know why girls especially feel the need to have a birthday and they walk in with foil balloons that have the number of the birthday. It's like a big gold three and a big gold zero. You know what I'm talking about. Balloons that's got to end up on social mediaons. So they're like way up in the sky and I'm twenty two. Yeah, a lot of two twos. How would it be? How would it look if I walked in with a four or five? But you'll be lying exactly. But I think of what's gonna happen in February my birthday? How scary? Gotta be honest. And a big gold foil five. I don't think they make fours and fives. They do, they make five for five. I've seen it all right, because I I know, but I've only seen the number two zero, two one three. That's really what I see in social media. I don't I've never You're right, though, I've never seen like but sixty three. I wouldn't, you know. I mean I see a lot like I see it, but I see it more often now. I think you've gotta be happy with your age to walk around with giant ass balloons with your age. Yeah, so I saw a couple of weeks ago. But by the way, you know, there's some guy or a girl who's like thirty two and she's like, I'm gonna switch to numbers. Well that's no. No, here's what I saw. Okay, I saw a right, I saw a girl. No, no, I saw a girl with a to one. But no, I know she's not twelve. But here's the thing. They were. These girls were all clearly thirty years old, so they were all trying to be like cute, you know, like ha ha, it's my twenty one birthday. It was a few few weeks ago and in Hoboken they walked in and I'm like, these girls ain't free, not one of them in the crowd. They gotta be. So it was like kind of like a throw. They were trying to like poke fun at people who bring foil balloons into bars. I think it's fine. Yeah, I think it's I just I'm not upset with it. I think you're right Night Listen. We had the conversation last episode about chocolate milk, which, by the way, I went to sales. I told him get us a sponsorship the chocolate milk company because I'm ready to endorse chocolate milk. Nice I went home after Jake last week was like, you could't have choked milk your dad. After that, I can have chocolate milk. So if you hear commercials for chocolate milk, that's why, because I'm proud to be a chocolate milk drinker. But yeah, I agree with you on the balloons. I think not that you're in you're you're too old for balloons. I just think at some point, here's what I would say. There's gotta be a like middle We're like, there's a number that you hit. Will you stop wanting people to see your balloon age? I think the last one I know, I think you could. I don't want to pick up. I'm saying there's a number. Everyone can pick their own number. What it is. Where it's thirty nine, for whatever it is, twenty nine. Everyone has their number that they go. I don't want to advertise after that, but I think there's a number after that that you would advertise. Again, I think if you were going out with some friends and seven, you will probably have your nurse walk in holding the eighty seven balloons. Right, But I didn't go, I'm only seventy eight. Look at my balloons hanging from my wheelchair from the handles. Look, I swear, look from the other side of seventy eight from behind. So there's there's a period of time where it's cool, then there's a lot of time where it's not cool, and then it's like cool again. Right, Like Betty White, you think she lies about her age. She's like, I'm nine sex boom right, Oh yeah, oh look, I think people lie about their age until they get so old that they're proud of how old they are. Right, yeah, maybe that well, but yeah, the balloons, I'm with you. I think they're fat though that's got to go soon. Yeah, I think like it's the balloon fat. I give it to, like I give it to August of nineteen, and then I think, like like white pants after Labor Day, Like oh, those balloons are so like last month. Alright. This next moment is dedicated to the one person on social media who texted me and said dropped the email segment mail talk. That sounds like it's time welcome. You've got mail the funk out of here. You're not gonna tell us what we can and can't do. And by the way, we get a lot of great ideas from our emails, so we do love this segment. Brandon Taylor had a comment Brodie on the chocolate milk debate. That's what's smart this email here, Brooklyn Boys saw that Brodie is absolutely correct. I wanted to say that I am twenty one and I still drink chocolate milk to this day, and I will be fifty and still drinking chocolate milk. You're never too old for chocolate milk. Anyway, keep the podcast coming. We never get tired of you guys. Thank you Brandon Taylor. Also, um, we got a long Free Dessert story from Navide Safee. Wanted to say, hey, Scary and Brodie in parentheses, who love you both. Though longtime listener loved the podcast Free Dessert, my dad has always been so good at getting free dessert from companies, whether it's getting a big discount and getting a car, or even getting a movie ticket refund after sleeping through an entire movie. He's been the best. Um, you showed me the way. Recently, I went to see that new horror movie The Nune on a Saturday night, and a couple of my friends and my girlfriend paid for her ticket as well. These teens were giggling, talking, and yelling throughout the whole movie and wouldn't shut the funk up. We were seething with anger the entire time. Brody. I called the theater up the next day and told them how these teens fucked the whole movie for me, and the theater was kind enough not only to give me to free admission tickets for my troubles, but also gave me an additional two. Definitely enjoyed my free dessert. It's from Aria navid As. This is an article below about Matthew Perry. He is grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals. The statement concluded, as he heals as he feels I don't know, I don't know what that's from. But anyway, People magazine, you should do do some prates p r e t z e zy Zy videos prates now total props to the Rock who always does good charity work. I got this uh slipt in to my d M S. David Grammar police alert. The use of irony is misplaced. I thought i'd make your day love the Brooklyn Boys podcast, so in talking about this girl, this day very nice, nice because I know everything about you. Friday's your favorite day of the week. That's crazy ironic because it's my favorite day of the week too as well as Okay, the fact that her favorite day is Friday and your favorite day is Friday is not crazy ironic. It's not even regular ironic. It's a coincident coincidence, right. It's like when people go like, I may have mentioned four the oh my god, we have the same birthday. What are the odds? Pretty much? So yeah, so you need to ye most things that you point out as ironic coincidence. So the Rock gotta call the Rock out. And then there's one other one here. I gotta find it. But we have somebody and then we have a problem here. There was a truck on the road that I took a picture of. Did he send it to you? The truck? Yeah, I love you truck. Now what did you see? Oh? Here's a sign New York Sports Club. The sign says we are close l O S E. And to which I wrote back, yeah, they're right there. Hi. Clearly they meant closed, we are closed. Oh here, And then I got one more from zony Esquire zony e s Q. It's a it's a pickup truck. It's a beaten up, old pickup truck. It's like flat Matt Gray battleship. And it says the guy's name loves the girl's name, and it's l O V E. Apostrophees terrible. The only way that works is if Jennifer loves like. If it's Jennifer Love Hewett and it's Jennifer loves Car, then it would be apostrophes. By the way, little known faction. You know what, you know what? You know this right? Jennifer Love Hewitt's first name, her real first name is Love. Her name is Love Hewett. But she thought it was too flaky, too for show business at the Jennifer you know, how about how about that how about that we got we got a complaint about the grammar police. Here's again, email us at the Brooklyn Boys podcast at gmail dot com. That's where we were just reading. Unless you're complaining, Uh, subject line is grammar police are jerks. Research has determined that grammar Nazis are jerks. I've included a link to an article that summarizes and you know a University of Michigan study below. Essentially, the study found that people who noticed and were distressed by grammatical mistakes were less agreeable, less agreeable, or in other words, giant dix. I still love you, guys, Agnes. How funny is that? Oh? Fuck you, Agnes, Agnes Lenda. But by the way, I don't let's shoot the mess. Hold on, if you listen to this podcast, you've got some balls sending an email and your name is your name is a complaint email though less All right, here's what I'll say about that article. Well, on a second, I'm clicking on the article. Okay, I'm a spelling errors in the article? How greatould that big? That would be ironic, not a coincident. So there is this article out there, and you guys can google it for yourselves and there's and they're saying. Science says that people who point out grammar mistakes are jerks and um. It opens by saying, are you one of those people who just can't resist pointing out other people's grammatical mistakes while showing off your impressive grammar grammatic okay, she sent me the link. Okay. A study says that people they okay, their behavior is a result of certain personality traits that they possess. Extroverted people tend to overlook grammatical mistakes and typos, while introverts to judge harshly those people who make grammatical errors. There's no one on the planet more extroverted than me, said, We're participated in this three wow okay. They were asked to read email responses for an ad for a roommate. Some emails were changed on purpose to include typos such as about misspelled and whatever, grammatical errors on purpose. Then the participants were asked whether they noticed the mistakes. Those who said yes were then asked to elaborate, and they said they said they found a correlation between agreeability and sensitivity to errors. Um, okay, so they pretty much deduced from this article that we are assholes. What do you say to that, Okay, if what was the first line that people revel in pointing out mistakes so they can feel superior about their grammar. Okay. I have never corrected anyone in public that I didn't know, and it didn't work for me, And it was my job as an intern coordinated to do or a coworker that it was that we were having fun with. Like when Great t says some are you gonna go okay, this is great? Come up. I don't show at parties that don't correct people to go, oh, you don't speak well. Okay. It's my job to read resumes and cover letters and and and hire people that speak and communicate well. And I don't ever do it to feel better about myself. And we do it on this podcast because it's funny. We do it for the jokes and the humor. When you're like the sun on the watermelone was spelled wrong, it's hilarious. But this article is saying that participants who got the most disturbed what they make were said to be the least agreeable ones. Contrary to them, people with more agreeable personalities were more likely to overlook mistakes and typos. Yeah, because okay, because people who don't let things bother them, Like, well, you know that guy parked his car next to my car and he scratched the door. But it's only a little scratch. Oh he wrote a lot as one word instead of two. Well, what's the big deal, I know what he meant. Well, they're trying to say that those people are better people. Not well, look at Great. Take you look at Great for instance. Right, he's a walking He doesn't give a damn about grammar. His answer to everything is you know what I meant? Right, But he's the least agreeable person on the planet. So the servant. There's always exam there's always anecdotal evidence to every of the contrary. Well. It also says that agreeability is a set of psychological measurements also known as the b f I the Big Five Personality Index, and people who are agree are described as generous, trusting, cooperative, and sympathetic. Contrary to them, those who are not agreeable are described as cold and aggressive. So, Brodie, you and I, I guess, are cold and aggressive people. Yeah, but here's the thing. You and I we are personalities are very different. You tend to like write when people upset you, you forgive them immediately. Then I'm gonna throw it. Then I'm gonna because I don't. Then this article doesn't hold any water. Agnes. I appreciate you for pointing it out and bringing it to our attention, but the article sucks the article. Yea. And by the way, when we said fuck you, Agnes, that wasn't suck you. That was the CVS, Agnes, which you know because you listen in order, and if you don't listen in order, here's I want the Drake one. I'm gonna give you the Drake one. Right, there's a reason. Okay, here it comes literal order, episode zero. Start from zero, now, ye, start end up from zero? Now the class start end up from zero? Naya, Hi, start end up from zero? What you hair people? There is so much crap you want a hair? Start us up from zero. It's our rule. You mustet here, start us up from zero. Let's be claimed, start us up from zero. Walk, get the funk out of here, pretty self exponsory. I reason I said play the Drake one because we have a bunch of listening order songs. Drake was in Atlantic City this weekend. He was He did the nightclub Dare They host he hoped. He played Philly first, where he brought Meek Mill on again for a hug, as if he hasn't been doing that every night, and so he gave him the Philly Meek Mill hug. And then late night Saturday, a Sunday night, because my friends were there and they have video of it, he went into the nightclub dare at at Heart Right, let me let that video and steal it and put it on Instagram. Uh, and he he did a few songs and he went crazy, and then he went to the casino and he dropped two hundred thousand dollars out out to Drake. That was probably his appearance fee for the nightclub he got right, They said he probably got more than that for the nightclub. They think he got two fifty of the nightclub fift the nightclub. And then he lost, so he didn't. He pretty much squandered two K and then walked away with fifty K cash after he walked out of the Yeah, so for to do with the gig, you gotta pay tax on that money. And then he lost it. So I'm not listen, I'm not I'm not bleeding for for Drake. He did okay, also a couple of corrections from last week. We had Jake on from twenties Something Is Doing Nothing podcast he and Ricky. But in this case, uh comment Jake made he had was talking about tomato pies. Um. Terry Egan wrote to us and said that that Jake is correct. In Philly, a tomato pie is pizza without MutS because but it does have sprinkles of parmer gan and is served at room temperature or chilled. That's Terry Egan and also Aaron left Lar also said the same thing. Tomato pie is essentially hold pizza with no cheese. Uh. He's an area code for it for so it's a Pennsylvania thing. You can get some toppings, but it will usually be cold. Love listening to you guys, I'm gonna read you the official definition of tomato pie because it's close to what I said. Tomato pie may refer to some types of pizza the United States, such as Sicilian pizza, a type of pizza originated in Sicily. However, Trent and tomato pie a pizza which tomato sauces added after cheese toppings, the sauce and the tomato that the clumpy tomatoes are on top that's why it's called tomato pie. Um Southern Tomato Pie is a new haven Stout pizza. Italian tomato pie is made of thick dough, trent and tomato pie, which is similar to Philly tomato pie is swimming from the area. Means that the tomato sauces on top of the cheese and the toppings. It looks like there's no cheese, but it's there. You know what, I'm not an aggressive asshole, and I will be willing and open to that, whereas I say fuck you, you're wrong. They were different and every Anthony Tomasello, by the way, also commented and he says that in addition to that, we should have David Portnoy from bar Stool Sports on the show to talk about his favorite pizza places since he does the pizza reviews from Barstool Sports. So my question is what makes David Portnoy the authority. I don't know him personally. I'm not gonna go out a limb. And more importantly, and when he has a podcast, go listen like there's that. Yeah, he's what's gonna come into pizzas. Be honest, I like doing pizza reviews just because it's what I I lost my job today, I would I would do pizza reviews. I can do pizza. We can do a second podcast. I mean our fan club is unofficial. The slices and I talked about the slices. Yeah, yeah, And I think we should name us ourselves the slices. I think the fans, I think of the mean, we threw that out there. We threw that out there. We sort of liked it, but we didn't officially be asked. Brooklyn slices, Brody scary, scary brok. I like slices, alright, So um, here's what I said about slices. I think that it. The sites great, it is, and the OLP Straight and Morning Show has a fan club site, the Fifteen Minute Morning Show Secret podcast thing. Right, you don't want us in there, you don't want us to be part of it. Don't ask us to stop by, because you should have the right to vent about us or segments. But it's hurtful for us to see it. And so I'm not No, I'm not on the slices, but I I hopped into the h a different fan club, the fifteen Minute Morning Show, the Alba Stra and one whatever, and they were like you're like, oh, someone was a bad mouth to me about something that I didn't even do, And I'm like, you know what, Yeah, I don't need to be here for that. Like if you want to if you if that's what you want to use it for, that's fine, But then don't ask us to come in a swing by if you're gonna be negative about us, because we don't want to see that. Constructive criticism is one thing, but I feel like if you're gonn get negative about something, if you're gonna like like someone wrote on in the elvis one like or something like I don't like the broken Boys, I they this that the other thing. Okay, that's your opinion. Yeah no, And that's a place to give opinions, but then I shouldn't be there reading it. I feel like, I'm like, I don't want to be there. That's fine too, or say only positive things? How about that? We can't have that. We people should be entitled to their opinions. No, No, be entitled to your opinion just like everything that's that's my but that's our goal. Anyone who does a show of any kind Broadway show to you, Yeah, but you want to entertain everyone, you you Ultimately, you're on Broadway in Hamilton's. You would like the whole crowd to love it. You don't want the one guy in the back going the set design sucked, ass you anybody enjoy it? That's like when you asked me before about Twitter. Ultimately, I want people to enjoy my tweets. That's why I send them out. So it's time for unused jokes. These are that were given to members of the show but never used. Yeah, you listen to kick back, you listen in order. And speaking of listening in order, honestly, we're trying. I've asked numerous times to the good folks at I Heart Radio, our our company, our companies I Heart Media, but I Heart Radio is part of our company. We know in order to listen in order. It would be great if the app went to the newer episode next. We've been told it will be in a build an update. It hasn't happened yet, but we're working on it all right, So jokes that didn't make it to the big show. Now, this one ties into what we were talking about. Drake lost two hundred thousand dollars. He started at the top, now he's here. Hi. Uh, we were talking about teachers we had crushes on, and somebody said, um, scary that you won't get the drop in time. They said their teacher's name was Mrs Weaver. So my joke was nice Weaver, which is a nice Beaver reference from the show movie Maake It done right, you have it? Yeah, of course it sounds like this nice right, thank you. I just had a stuffed right, and she was actually holding a stuffed beaver. Um. Gandhi, our new co host, did a news story today as we taped this podcast, and this was a sad story. Something happened in the flood. I guess in the in the hurricane, and I got like twenty five chickens drowned. And so my joke, which obvious did not want to do, was I drowned a chicken last night in barbecue sauce. Uh. Josh Groban was on today and he said he's doing a new TV show with Tony Danza where he plays a cop and Tony Danzer plays his father. And my joke was, oh, so, Who's the Boss, a reference to Tony Danzer's TV show Who's the Boss? Um. A woman called up and said a monkey grabbed her hand at a zoo and pulled her fake nails off and ate the fake nails and I said, good thing, get into fake boops and finally not a haha, but just I thought it was amusing. We were talking about our first loves on the show and Scary said, well, so Elvis said, Scary, who's your first love? And he said I need to do over? And I said, wow, you know you dated a girl name Anita. But it was he needed to do over because he funked up his first sort of relationship, right, wasn't it? Hooker? No, I don't want I've never been with will you bank? Some older woman above the store front? It was over store front. It was like a three night stand. It was like, I don't know, would that run you? No? No, it was actually somebody that I actually met at a bar. Good god, I know we still go on. We still got on time because you said you uh we're good time? Yeah? Yeah, I want to do I want to complain about something, but do not want to. I also have the post malone. Uh, let's go to the post. You want to do post malone? Should we save it for post like next week? I think we should? What do you want to do it? Now, I don't want to offend that one girl who gave us a bad review because we ta promised things and we uh, no I want to. We've already offended people for doing email, for eating on the microphone. I mean, you can't make everyone happy all the time. So here's what I'm gonna say about the taco bell problem I had where they asked me three times to pull up or pull over because I was being they were being timed on my service. People tweeted at me and emailed me and said that's happened to them at other fast food chains that burger places no names have also said oh could you pull up? And and one of the people I gotta find it. I don't have social They sent me a picture of the blue garbage pail they had a park by waiting for their food. This has got to be a new thing. This has to be a new thing that they're timing people that fast food places. And someone had the idea of saying, if they move out of that spot, then it resets the clock. I have an idea. Bosses should give realistic times for getting food ready. Second of all, if the difference between me getting my taco bell is two and a half minutes and three and a half minutes. I don't have to move my car. I'm good with that. It's not that long of a wait. But I'll tell you where I did have to wait. I went for Chinese food. There's a Chinese food place near my house that's a little more expensive little Foo Foo, a little more Foo food than the regular Chinese food on the menu. That's the name of the guy works No no, no, non't So it's a it's a little more expensive. And so everything there's like right, everything is in a little more expensive, So I don't go there, right, and the food is all like Foo food tasting where it's not like the common man Chinese Foo Foo platter yep and the egg Foo Foo Young. I get that too. And so I went in there just for white rice because I had some how special pan fried noodles left over, and I had a lot of sauce left over. I needed rice to put the sauce on. So I went in just for the rice, and I saw on the menu I was looking at they had spicy wantons in a session on oil, which in a place in Manhattan I love, you get like six it's like a hot peanut oil sauce. It's terrific. Thin skin, wantons right, so that the sauce and the thin skin works out really nicely. You get to the meat sooner, so the balance is there. So I pull up and it's a strip mall. So you pull right up to the door and I and I go in and I ordered the thing and go. You know, I give me I'm not just the white rice, give me that too. It was like nine dollars, Like what the fun in Manhattan? Manhattan? Whereverthing is expensive, it's it's but I get it right, And I'm waiting and I'm waiting and there's nobody ringing on the phone, is no deliveries going out, there's no one else waiting for their food. And I'm waiting, waiting, waiting, and so I said, is it almost ready? You'll be ready in a minute. And you know what they had there? That's how food for this freaking place is. You know those like rice paper screens to divide a room. Usually you see them in Japanese restaurants. But it hadn't made of bamboo sometimes yeah, right, but it was like that you could see the shadow behind it, the silhouette. So they have that divide. Yeah, is that a song? Was? It's still a song then? Okay, So you can see people moving behind the shade that they're moving, but the cashier is on the other side of the shade, and then she keeps walking behind it to like see where the food is. I guess, and I hear talking in their their language. I assume Chinese, some dialect of Chinese Cantonese, right, okay, Cantonese. I don't know what they're saying, right. And so she comes back and I go, I look at her, go soon, yeah, soon. So it's like ten minutes. I'm waiting for these freaking things. So I go out to my car and I said, you know what I have this? Uh this two part pump. It's the coil and the pump to put air in you tire. I used to have that before I had a girlfriend. Little coil and pump. That's so much pump. So I said, you know, I'll get it out of my trunk because one of my two of my tires needed air. One needed a lot of air. We need a little bit of air. This is all part of the story, trust me. So I go to the I go to the trunk I'm waiting for my food, and I put the two pieces together. I'm like, I'm gonna plug it into the cigarette lighter and when I get home, because I was on my way home, I'll do the tires. So I sit there and I'm waiting, and I go back in and I go, is it ready? Nope, not yet. So I go back out to the car and I go, you know what, I bet I could fill up the air in my tire before this fucking dumplings already spicy wantons. So I plug it into my tire and I right, and I get the tire filled up thirty five pounds of pressure supposed to be thirty two. But there's a leak, so I put in thirty five. So I put it back in the car. I go back in. We're good, I'll be up in a minute. Sound of a pitch, I go, I go, you know, I'm waiting a long time. It's like nobody can hand rolled and made from scratch. Hold on there, chief, So I go back out. I put air in the other tire. Right, I look my bag still on on the counter. I put the two pieces back into I separate them, put him back in the bag, back in the trunk. I go back in. I go, this is like fifteen minutes. Can I I count my money back? She goes, I'll go check again. She goes behind the screen. She was one more minute. I go, If it's more than another thirty seconds, I want my money back, I gotta go. I would think I was on some kind of freaking So she comes out with my bag, with my white rice and my and my wan tons, and I go, what happened? She goes, Oh, out of want tons? We had to roll fresh want tons. So I go, you couldn't mention that. You couldn't say, excuse me, sir. I just want you to know we have to roll the wantons. Do you still want the wantons? Maybe you want to order something else or out of wantons? But here's my question, how are you out of wantons? You're a Chinese restaurant, Hey, burger can you're out of burgers? You're a Chinese restaurant. How do you run out of wantons? Who want is souper out wantons? Oh, don't tell me about a war war wanton soup. Don't tell me about noodle soup. Don't tell me about hot and sour soup. It's all about wanton soup and dropped my ass wanton soup. Why do how do you not say to somebody, I'm sorry you're waiting so long, sir. Would you like something while you're waiting? Maybe a fantail shrimp to keep you tied it over tight, or maybe an eight roll to tide you over. No, she keeps me waiting and putting air in my tire. So I say, you know, maybe you could have mentioned that. Maybe I could have made a phone call, I could have driven home and come back. You could delivered it. No, terrible, And she speaks perfect English. She's the daughter. It's not like she didn't understand me. She's the daughter of the people who were on the bay. How do you not say, hey, just trying to let you know we gotta hand roll them. You're putting the sauce on him, throw the meat in, throw the wanton skins in. I'll mix them up myself. So fuck you fu Fu. I don't know her name. I'm not making up a name. Fuck you Fufu Chinese restaurant. How do you not do that? How would you have reacted um same way? Well? I know, actually with less anger I would be I would have been piste off because to me, it's just all about communication. Let me know when I'm making the order. Hey, by the way, because because obviously when the two silhouettes were on the shade, they were talking it over right, the woman could have come back out and said at that point she knew, she knew right. She could have said right then and they bitch, foo, it's gonna be Yeah, twenty minutes. Do you want it something? I would have bonless ribs want something, or you would have you wanted them that bad, you were craving them. Maybe you would have waited in twenty minutes, but the anticipation of waiting there and yeah, honestly, so that's so here's what I did. So, I said, so I know that's where I would have taken my bags. I walked out and never been in there again. I was like, fuck you food fighters, right, we're fucking fight food right. So I said, I don't have So I said, I find it unacceptable that you didn't tell me and I waited all this time. So she looks at me, like what, So I said, I looked over to my right and he's the refrigerator. So I said, here's what you're gonna do. I'm gonna take a can of soda for my troubles for waiting, and we're gonna call it even. And she was she looks at me, not knowing what to say. And I grabbed a grape soda, which I don't normally buy because I don't want to pay for grape soda because it's all sugar. But for free, i'll take it. I said I would take a grape soda, and she didn't know what to say. I gave the old here is what you're gonna do, said, I'm taking a grape sofa. Here's what you're gonna do for me. I'm taking a grape soda discount free. Just just grabbed this out of the refrigerator. So I said, we're good, and she was like, okay, good, grab soda. Wait, dude, you didn't You didn't ask for free dessert. You just took free dessert. I told her what we're gonna do. You went into the refrigerator and you grabbed your free dessert. But you said, by the way, right, thanks for the free dessert, right, And I said right, But I said what I said, We're going the way. It's a whole of the level of free dessert. Right. I said, we're good. She went, yeah, that's terrible. I don't know if I would have had the balls to do that. I got the balls. You really did that? Yeah you can't. You didn't even ask and say, look for my trouble. I said, here's what we're gonna do. I'm gonna take a soda. She knew she was wrong. She didn't say, you can't take the soda. I feel like you. I think she got off easy. That was almost stealing. Bro, fifteen minutes of my time might be stealing out. That might be stealing. She stole my time. You you freaking you know you emotionally held her gun point. I stopped. No, I stopped, I held it. I held the can. I did. I did the game show hand. I went, SODA's good, We're good, and she was like okay. She gave me the okay look. She came like, what are you gonna do? She knew she fucked up. She knew she fun she food up. That's not even my rant today, I got more. This is all happened to you. You know this is happened to you. I went, I went to the supermarket. Uh, two days in a row. I went um, today's Wednesday. I went Monday. I went. I tweet me hashtag free soda, hashtake soda. At some point, you're wrong, that was that was rough. It was Welch's grapes, so grapod grapes. By the way, can I say about grape soda? By the way, is this food arriving here? What's going on in the ground? I don't know, but I for is that for us taking home a kiddia today? All right, so listen to me. Grape soda. You know how this diet seven up. There's diet black cherry, is diet cream soda, diet root beer, his diet sun kissed orange you can find sometimes, but there's never diet grape. Never, never diet grape. I was in a supermarket they had it was stopping shop, which I don't normally go to. It was their diet grape soda. Now, one of my daughters loves grape soda, but when she drinks it, the sugar makes her like bounce off the walls. She I can't get it to shut up. So I bring home diet grape soda. I am the proudest, most excited father ever. They've invented grape soda. Years of me saying, how come nobody invented grape soda? This is fantastic. I give her the grape soda. She's like saying, oh my god, grape soda, diet grape soda. My wife is like, oh my god, she won't be bouncing off the walls, diet grape soda. I give you the grape soda. I poured it makes that blue fiz down right, and she drinks it like like heaven, And the glass is about to go into her mouth and down her throat. What kind of chemicals is she ingesting? And she goes, I would do that too. Hey, guess what. There's the reason why there hasn't been great soda on the market. She said it was like paint thinner. Of course. So I said, oh, come on, you're being a kid complaining, And I said, I'm gonna try the grape soda. So I tried the grape soda, and it's fucking terrific. Of course, all these years in existence on this planet, if there ever was a diet grape soda that tasted great, they would have invented it by now. That's what I said that. But then I was like, no, this supermarket brand is gonna be decent, not even now, not even. You can't make a diet grape soda, just like you can't make a diet orange soda. I don't think they make diet orange. They do make some companies make dietrange. So I'm at the supermarket on Monday, right, And if you're at the deli counter, what's the rule? Now, the deli counters, we get you sliced meats. When you walk up to the counter, what's the first thing you do? I asked for a half a pounder. Oh yeah, dick, you get a number, number, take a number. I don't go to supermarkets. So they got the sign that says now serving serving number all right. So I got up there and it says now serving thirteen. There's a couple of people there, so I go they must be waiting for the meat to get sliced. It's like four people slicing meats. So I take a ticket and it says fourteen. I go, fucking I'm next. So the guy goes off, he hits the sign, he goes fourteen, up fourteen, and the woman goes, excuse me, I'm next, or contrare next is fourteen. I am fourteen. She says, I've been waiting here. Oh I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, ma'am, but there's rules of the road. Yeah up, I'm next. I'm fourteen. So so she looks at the guy and she goes, you saw I was waiting here, And he says, you know, I was slicing on the people's meat. You know he is next. He's fourteen. So she says, oh, no, I got I've been waiting. I need potato salad, and I need corn beef, and I need sauce aldo turkey, and so I said. So the guy looks at me like, what are you gonna do? Bro? What are you gonna do? So I go all right, you can go ahead of me. You can go ahead of me. So so okay, So she goes ahead of me and the guy in the hat who finished the slice and goes click fifteen. He's wait a minute, we're fourteen. You can't stip met person taken at tiction. He's like, I'm next. No, no, no, no, no, no, I'm fourteen. So he says to me, you missed your turn. No no, I missed my turn. That woman's cut me. She'd never a ticket and she cut me. He goes, well, you know the rules. You shouldn't let it go down. I'm submitting this to curb your enthusiasm. This is going to be a future sketch. So the guy who's slicing for the sauce seleto woman a turkey woman under corn beef and potato salad. He's all the way on the other side, going to get her corn beet for sauceeleto throw whatever else she wanted. So I'm like, Joe, you gotta tell us guy next. So I had a whole big thing trying to get my fourteen fifteen. So I figured out, I'll just take the sixteen ticket. No, they're up to eighteen by that point, so I had to get the first guy who cut me. I had to wait for him. The problem with the with the number system is if you walk up to the counter and you don't see it, you don't realize there is a number system in place. It's always a number system. If you go to like a little mom and pop plays a little tight system, you go to a supermarkets, I'm telling you now, I love you for listening to this podcast. But if you go to Publix, in Florida, or or price Chopper in Connecticut, or whatever the fund Nebraska, and they don't have a I don't care. In New Jersey. In New York, there are tickets because people are tolight. You could be in, you could be in, you could be in Iowa, and everyone's nice and everyone knowsny Fanny gets your coin. Really should get rid of the ticket system, because this way it will eliminate the people that didn't see the ticket system with the ticket what they got rid of it. The shop right near me got rid of the tickets. There's now a computer screen you gotta check in, but the check in screen is no way where we look for it. So you're like the tickets. There is no tickets where the tickets. You gotta go on the computer screen. I don't like to form a nice neat line and then it prints out your ticket like it takes your thirteen seconds to do that bullshit. I want little machine take my ticket. Oh my god. All right, So that's that's problem number two. Uh, I'm gonna give you problem number three, and I'm gonna save problem for for next week. Supermarket here it is my last problem. I'm online at the checkout with my car. I've got I don't know, eighteen twenty items, right, I'm in the twenty item or less aisle. The person in front of me is getting checked out, and I realized I really want to pack a bubblegum. So I look on the little the little uh what do you call that impulse shopping rack with the with the stupid magazines on with all the fake news, and that's the impulse and the Reese's pieces and by the way, it's pieces, uh, and the peanut butter cups and the gum and to take five and all that little shitty little gum, that shitty little trident, little freaking gum. I want man gum. I want big bubblegum. So I'm like, you know what. The woman in front of me is still checking out. I'm gonna walk five ft to my right to the next aisle and see if they have bubblegum. No bubblegum. So I go two aisles away to bubblegum. I look for my gum. I'm no more than ten feet away from my car. A guy comes up, moves my cart out of the way, and he gets in line in front of my card. Of course, I'm not there. That's bullshit, bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. You don't move a car with groceries like it's just in your way in an aisle. If it's in your way anile, you're like, oh, get on my way. Moved the car. I gotta get around you. You don't move a car because no one's standing there. I'm ten feet away. I go, excuse me. People are dicks. They are dicks. So he looks, he goes h not like I'm so sorry. He gives me a looking the I fuck him. I'm gonna call him. I'm gonna call him Ernie. Fuck you, Ernie. I don't know his name. He looked like an Ernie, like a big fat Ernie. I got so much Greek. But that's the way we were raised, you know, because we're from Brooklyn Boys Brooklyn Brooklyn Boys, Blas
