Speaker 1: How could it be that a third of us don't have life insurance? Is that stat Is that true? That's true in this room right now, half of us don't have life insurance. Oh my god, that's even greater than a third. That's true. Point you know, you're never too young to start getting life insurance. And a lot of people think the process is so difficult, it's a hassle. But now without friends at policy genius dot com that Brodie and I have been talking about, you just go to the website. In fact, if you I'm there now, it's Here's how it works. You calculate how much you want to have and how much coverage you want. You compare the prices of what you want, and then you apply. That's it. It does the work for you. If you were to do this on your own, you would have to work out what you need. You do the research on your own. You try and find the best quote, which could take you forever. It took me months when I when I went shopping for life insurance originally years ago, I didn't know where to begin. I didn't know how much coverage was appropriate. I looked that up. I had to talk to people and then asked my friends, if they don't take you over the calls that I had someone coming to my house wanted to get blood amples, your samples blah blah blah blah. And then they were like the rates after I did all the work, they're like, the rates do high. I would much rather just go to the website policy genius dot com and just compare everything right there. It's so much easier, and you could be like me. You don't even need to know the first thing about insurance. Day've got all the tools there to get you up to speed. Over four million people have used policy genius dot com to shop for their insurance, and they can't be wrong. The interesting thing about life insurance is that your rates are lower if you're younger and healthier. And those are the people that think they don't need life insurance. Get it now while you can get a good deal and cover yourself and your loved ones and not have to worry about it anymore. Two minutes, you can compare the quotes make an informed decision for you and your loved ones at policy genius dot com. Start dot up, that up Brooklyn, start up Brooklyn buys dot up. They make you noise dot up that up episode five. You know that line in the song they make a noise, a lot of noise. Last week we're at a palindrome. It's a numerical palindrome. But if he's spelled fifty five, it's not right. But five five is a palnder the two numbers together. You know what I'm saying. They always saying, can you dropping knowledge? Very early on it's the Brooklyn Boys podcast. I'm scary. That's Brodie, Brodie Scaridi. What by the way, speaking of dropping knowledge, I'm definitely gonna hit you up for something. You messed up on the Big Show today? How did I mess up? Okay? Every first of all, is this your life's calling is to just listen to every word I say, to analyze it and then replay it to me on this podcast? Well partially, yes, no Elvis called you out on it. Alright, alright, so we'll talk about it. We did it on the Big Show. You said something that you want to get out of the way, right now do it now? We just started listen. There's never been a better time than right now. Alright, Fine, what song is that from I'm busy looking up something? Yeah, look for that cut right there. It ends in the usual thing we mark all of our cuts in the computer. Pull that up. I was dumbfounded. I totally get what you were saying, and what and and and your explanation for it. It makes sense, and I'm sure other people do thisaway play the clip. No, you're young and spry and you're like looking looking spray. Do you know what the word what? No? Okay, Okay, here's the thing. So you're just in the term young and spry. Certain words, certain words just go together. Yeah yeah, like like school and education. But you didn't you use the word spry. You didn't really know what it meant. And then an hour later Elvis asked you what if you if you looked it up, and you said, no, no, I don't need to know because I know it works in that sentence. There are certain things that go together. Do you know what viril means? It's not viral right strong? Yeah? Hell yeah? Yeah. Okay. So when I think of young and spry, I I think of like a jackbie nimble jack be quick. I think of a candlestick. Yeah yeah, so well that's what I think of, like spry, like someone who's like all over the place, like quick, Well, when you hit the term hot and bothered, hot and bothered, what does that mean? Well, it's not some other than covered bro, that's waffle house. So hot and bothered and bothered? Bothered? Me what that means? That you're horny? Right? But why bothered? Like, do you know what used? I've heard you use the expression I'm all hot and bothered, right, but you you have I don't know. Do you know what that means? No? Okay, so that's let's go back to the That's my point. I sp do you know what the word what? No? And you said the same thing, no, right. My point is I think I said I understand it, that we understand what's coming from. But there it's an idiomatic expression in a way like an idiom is a word. An idiom is is like a a phrase that we use that might not translate to other languages. Let's see, let's see what the internet says that sprout and bothered comparative, more hot and bothered, superlative, most hot and bothered, blah blahh. Hey we hold on, pull up here, I'm not gonna an urban dictionary. Hold on. It means aroused, aggravated, or irritated. Those are your two your two uh definitions, but it doesn't say what the origin is. Let's see if I can meaning origin. Let's see not and bothered right now, other people like, I'm hum bothered by this conversation. Can we move on? Yeah? I wanted we just started. I know, we just started, so already coming to a grinding halt while you're scrolling through your phone. All right, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna scroll, and you don't have to tweet us because we already know. Yeah. Um. On the show today, I was talking about how I was in a sauna and I got caught. Yeah, you are shirtless with your trainer wearing what underwear? I was in underwear. He was an underwear. It was post workout. I hired a train happens to be Sam. Producers Sam from our show and acquired Taste podcast. Her boyfriend, who, by the way, is jacked. He's just got his jack. Every muscle on the human body, you could see it, he's yeah, I mean you can see it on his body. Oh you could count them. You could take a sharpie. And like his body, his body is an advertisement for his job, which I think it's like a science class model, you know what you know when they have the the the that section of the class. You know when they whenever that topic comes up, they have like the dummy and then it's like an actual thing with the human organs and the muscular system, the exco exoskeleton system. Yeah, that's system X exoskeletal system that in the organs. Yeah, when they have that giant lifelike body in the class that shows you the layers of the skin and the muscles, that's Sam's boyfriend, except he's a living creature because he's full of muscle. Anyway, so I was in I was in a sauna with Do you know what exo skeleton is? It's the skeletal system. No, it's the it's the hard and outside covering like an armadillo. Well, it's a skeleton. So anyway, willing him is We'll say he's spry, he's ripped alright, and he's also he's he gets girls hot and bothered. He does all of the above. He's all coming together now the circle, because it always does here you get a coming together in a full circle, not having a circle jerk with William. First of all, there's only two of us you can't have a circle at least three. That's a triangle. How many people need for a circle? The Devil's triangles a drinking game. I learned that on the news this week. So is it how many people need for a circle? Either way? Are you listening? I don't know you like to be in a circle? Jerk with sky sweet him. No, I never said any of this stuff. You're putting words in my Mouth's worst things I can put there, like Spry. So William is Jack and he's my trainers Jack Williams. No Jack, not Jack Ryan either, none of these people, by the way, for a guy who's ripped like that, and no offense to anyone named William listening to the podcast. He should be more like a like um, like a will you know what I mean? Will Hey? Will like he's William, Yeah, he's like it's an old English like most people named William shorten it to like Billy like he should be Billy Hey, but I'm going to my train Billy billy kid like back to the pizza place thing like it's all in the name, right, Like would you go work out with a guy named like Myron or Herbert Herbert? Don't work at my trainer Eugene people. Yeah, I wouldn't work out with any of those guys. You know what, I'm gonna do some reps with Moista, Like I'm showing. Moist is a nice guy, but it's like a trainer. Tell you something. Moist worked me out, Well if you if you're playing the piano, i'd go to him. Well, will, we'll call him Will. Yeah, I think, well, he doesn't like that though, so when Hey, it's Billy, No, don't call him that. He's too ripped to get him angry. You don't want to ge him angry. You don't want to get him angry. All right, So you're working out with him, working out with him, and we'll kind of work out what you do it in the sauna though, you guys doing like top, top and bottom. Plus he treat teaches me the science of working out. We don't it's not just a regular workout. So he educates me as we're working out, which I love. On the anatomy and the exoskeleton. No, he's telling me about how the right way to to uh you know, power and endurance and strength and how they all work together. Listen, you don't have none of those I had none of those. You have power. I'm now benching thirty pounds. You haven't. No, Okay, it's see. Here's the thing. There's the whole process by which I saw you at the airport with wrong. You know, when you work out, it's some of it is learning, is the education of a lot of people. Just get into the gym and just start going and start benching, and you can hurt yourself. So you're talking to a guy, as you know, who never has been to the gym. I've never been. I've been very little. I mean intro to Jim in middle school and high school. Once that was over and the required of exercise was over, I was done. The last year I stepped into it was a slim gym. Right now, you snapped into that step. You step into a slim Je snap into a slim. That's I stepped into a slims You stepped into him. Okay, Well, anyway, how was he? Uh? He wasn't. I wouldn't take a sauna with him. So that's that's where I'm going with this. So Will and I we were working out and then we were done, and then we go into the sauna. Because what happens is when you go into a know what happens in the song when you go into a spaths you know, I'm trying to educate you here, bro, I've seen those movies by accident on Pornhume. You relax the muscles. You know that one muscle, that one muscle it was there was unrelaxed and stiff, so stiff. No, you take off your clothes. Not gonna happen. Go ahead, Okay, he's he's got he's shirtless, I'm shirtless and you guys it was like identical twins, right, just like that. It was like a mirror image symmetry before and after poster and and in our underwear because we don't want to be totally naked because it is a public place. There are people that it can any time. What if there were no people there, would you ever get naked in front of William like a d eighty degrees in there? Listen follow me? So you he turned around. So you go to relax your muscles because it helps you in a in a stressful workout to go to the sauna for fifteen minutes. As I said at the top of this conversation, he understands the science of working at It's not just about going into these gyms. Okay, being a meat, right, that's not who he is. Right? What what what he said to you? And full body relaxation and he needed your pelvic muscles to relax completely, your thigh muscles and he said, we we we need to completely disrobe. No, that's not what you were doing. He's the expert, he's the master. I would have him. I would, you would, You would show him your entire exo, skeleton, exo endo, whatever you want to do, well you take it. In the end. Oh, what I'm saying is we're sitting there in fifteen minutes and we're sweaty and sweaty, mostly naked, mostly yes. And then I was like, oh, I'm experiencing some soreness in my bet it stops hurting the quads and my quads and then my biceps because you know, I was lifting all these weights and these are weights that my arms don't know. I've never seen that. I didn't even know I had a tricep, right, you know, were these little hand ones that women used to do, like zoom black classes. They're they're you know, they're they're there pounds. No, they're they're like fifteen, there's thirties. They're all kinds anyway, I know they have those. Did you lift the thirties? I lifted the thirties from my Yeah, from laying down. That was hard. I had to do ten ten of them reps tend no one. I don't know how many reps in I don't know whatever. Ten reps repetition, I guess whatever. The point is, Prouty, you stide tracking me, you try to understand. You're using all these terms. Now you're like, Rep. Who is this gonna? Rep? Who is scary Jones? OK. So we're sitting there and he's like, you know what, you are a little tense. So I'm gonna work you out. I'm gonna I'm gonna unstrain your muscles and I'm gonna stretch you out. Wait a minute, you let him missage you in the hot, sweaty naked sauna. Well, I was a little recalcitrant. Is that a word? It is a word? Is that the right word? Possibly? Go ahead? So I was a little dubious. You know you aren't to be you're hesitant to you are suspicious. I was not suspicious. It's straight as a narrow. I already know you were hot? Were you bothered? Were you bothered? I was bothered by what happened next? So you were hot and bothered? No, I was hot. And then all of a sudden, but he was hot. He so he's stretching me out. But he was, and I'm thinking, I'm like, ah, this feels so good, this is great. Okay, see I see grabbing your on. But people listening, they don't know what you were stretching out, all right, So he's stretching me. And all of a sudden, four people who were being shown my building because it was in my buildings, and they were they were going on a tour, and just at that moment, the tour guide walked by the sauna and it said, this is our lovely spa where we have a steam room and a sauna. And I see four people and they were like what because William was right behind me touching me in the sauna. But but so you turned around in front of well you you did the one be doing this. It was crazy. Well, it was like, have we not learned anything? Love is love is love? No, I'm just saying it was just weird. I'm like, you know, I don't know these people are watching or it was. I just knew that that was going to be the moment somebody showed up too, and then they were gonna watch us and then see what we were doing in there and what and what were you doing? I was being stretched. But they don't know that. They might think it was something else, and what's wrong with that? I don't let them think all they want. How about but it was something else and you're putting it under The guys are getting stretched. Listen. I briefly told the story on the other this morning. You briefly is believe none if there was video of this, would you post it? No? Right, believe none of what you hear at one point not but at one point during the rubbing and the stretching, and the rubbing the stretching, did you ever, like have your eyes roll back? Did you ever think? Oh? Did you ever? Did you ever think about Will in a different way? Not the whole time? Never, come on, man, thats just not me. But you were all sweaty. So was he using gloves? No? Why would so? He was rubbing you up and down the stretches. It was, it was very brief. It was the I don't want to I know I was. I was boxers aef. I'm not trying. Don't let me put this image in your head that we were doing this for hours. It appeared sounds like he was doing it just for yours. It felt like forever because it was paradise, because people walked by, and I'm like, oh my god, what was probably only twenty seconds and thirty seconds felt like a lifetime, like an eternity because there were so many people. You know, it just happened. When these people do, you feel like now you can you can't quit him. All I'm saying is this by saying, was believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see. And those words have never been more true because there's so many situations where gossip is nothing so people so I don't believe what you hear, and when you see something that's only half the story, the people want to hear the other half of the story. Now, these people seeing me being stretched, they were thinking, oh, what's going on there? But they only know half of it. They don't know that my bones and my muscles that were aching and sore, and I needed to be stretched out from my work, your loins aching Okay, keep going, let them all out. Yeah no, no, not all out. I want to know what else was it was your heart aching? Was your heart on at the time? You know what, why don't we do a Brooklyn Boys workout? Why don't you Why don't you join me one Tuesday. They're not after what you're describing. I'm not getting rubbed up by by by hot will not gonna happen. Not gonna happen. They say, it's it's good for you just to be, you know, just for physical therapy, just to be stretched over the years as you go, as you get older, just to do basic functions like you know, like something one one day you're gonna bend over. Okay that you're all putting up the door for me, so to speak. Don't say you don't say opening up the door. Yeah okay. What I'm saying is you're gonna bend over one day and you're gonna be like, oh, like a basic. I bet you did the same basic. I'm strained. I can't get up hip whatever your hip. So when you get when you stretch your shelf every day, there are parts of your body that sounds like shouldn't have been stretched. No, You're supposed to be a rubber band. You're supposed to stretch because that makes did you use a rubber no, Brodi. It prepares you for later in life when you're not as limb. What is it? Is it limb? I don't want to say the world not when you're not limber? Right, you're right? Right? You see what I'm saying. Do you know what limber means? You? Yeah, limber means to be to be like a rubber band going down. I'm getting limber. She's getting lumber. Lumber, you got wood, is what you're saying. So so let me ask you a question. After this workout, did he send you a text the next day? Yeah, asking for his Venmo for the workout fee. Oh so he gets paid to do that little rubber dub rub What you got? You got? You said he stretched you, right, so that's a rubbin tug? Oh my god? What I'm just asking the same questions? Are listeners are trying to be educational here? I'm trying to I'm trying to tell education. No, I'm trying to I'm trying to be I'm trying to be. Nothing wrong with it. It's eighteen at the time of this recording. What I'm saying is, maybe it's good that everybody stretches their muscles and everybody gets some basic exercise in them. Absolutely right, You're better equipped down the road to handle any kind of strain or you know, because you never know. You remember that time that I yawned wrong. Oh yeah, you pull the muscle, pull the muscle. My back went out. That's from years and years and years of not doing proper exercise. So in terms of yawning, you gotta stretch, stretch, will stretch out your jaw. He stretched out my hamstring. Oh your hamstring? Yes, my hamstring? Are you doing? I did squats? Where was Will? When you were squatting? He was next to me. He's making sure he did them right. Then I had the right that I was engaging my core he was. Do you know what it means to engage your core? Your core is responsible for so much of your daily movement. So what I'm saying is maybe we should all think about the for the future, having a little bit of that in our life, but just not in a sauna in front of people, topless and sweaty. It's right, hot and bothered, smothered and covered, which sounds like you were by the time this was over all right. You keep looking at the window. Yes, dogs out, the distracted. No, you know what this dogs outside is like? Adopt the dog? The dogs out? And I know if I brought a dog in here, you freak out because you don't know how to handle dogs. You want to try me? Yeah, I'm gonna get a dog. Are we allowed to? Whose dogs? Are those? Are they? Are they puppies? Are they puppies? Are their dogs? What's going on? So Brodie's walking outside, there's um a circle of life people just sitting in the circle and they're all there. They have little puppies and dogs with them. I think this is an animal shelter. I think, um, I don't know what they are. We'll find out in a second. But Brodie is now asking if a dogie could come in here. Oh no, they're gonna make me hold a dog. I don't know if we should do this. We're gonna do this live on the podcast. I don't know. I've never been good with animals. I'm certainly not good with people's kids. I told everybody the time that I dropped Jada gregg T's daughter because I was holding her like a puppy. And and then she got away and she banged her head against the glass table where I Hi, Whattet nugget, Hi, how are you? What's your name? Ali? We're live on a podcast right now. You want to promote your organization? So we're okay, we're Animal Haven and we're in rescue animal organization and we rescue dogs and cats and we're located in New York City in Chinatown. Now. Typically when you say you rest, when you rescue animals, you don't mean from like a flood or fire. You rescue them from what They come to us through a variety of different ways. So we partner with a lot of different local organizations UM as well as international organizations. We have partners in Puerto Rico and Iran UM and then also local organizations like dogs and cats. Dogs and Cats. By the way, your website is Animal Haven Shelter dot org. So so you take them in if they're about, if they're kind of on the borderline of maybe mistreated or oh, how do you acquire them? Is what I'm saying. So they come in. Typically partners will alert us to like two dogs that are coming in through a variety of different ways. So a lot of them are strays that are found on the street and they're coming. They're caught through a c C the animal control here, or they're rescued like on the streets of Iran, and we we have like an ongoing partnership and they come in that way. Now, Now, Scary, I love love dogs, love them. Scary doesn't know how to handle dogs, talk to dogs, pet dogs. He's never had a pet growing up. I don't have I've never had god pet Nugget. Okay, hi, hi, hi Nugget. Now what nugget is? Beautiful? Why don't you describe Nugget for the audience because I don't know how to describe a dog other than color. So Nugget is a brindle and white dog. He's probably only about twenty pounds. He's quite small, and he's full grown. He's about five years old. Do we know what kind of mix he is? We have no idea. Okay, Now, when you say brindle, is that a fancy way of saying we would say black or brown? Black and brown? Black and brown? Okay, hey buddy, hey buddy, how are you doing? Yeah? Yeah, okay, am I doing? Am I petting? Right? You want you want to pick him up. Yeah, pet on his head. Yeah. Oh my god, Oh my god. How cute am I holding him? Right? Yeah, that's it. He smells great. He has to ask if he's holding the dog right, because he does not hold a dog at all. Hold once a day, I go get the like, give me kiss to the dog, give me a kiss, gives Okay, he's so nervous. He's like, the dog is shaking, So I think the dog is nervous. He might be a So he's supposed to put the head. Yeah, you can just put the head, he says. No. Pisically, when you meet a dog, the first thing you want to do is you want to give them the back of your hand and let them sniff it. Sniff my hand. Yeah, there's a TwixT bar on it. Yeah, he'll probably left over. But he's very well behaved and approximately how old is sat five years? Yeah, he's beautiful. He's full grown and he's available for adoption on animals at Animal Haven. You go online to our website. All of our available dogs are and cats are posted there as well. Right yantastic. By the way, Animal not a podcast sponsor. This was just you guys are here bringing up dogs, and I just wanted him to because he gets nervous. He's chewing on Daniell's headphones. That's fine, alright, it's okay. I love you. You're awesome. Now he's got a little nub. He doesn't have a tail. Okay, that's okay, though, that's good. He's wagging his nub. He's wagging his nug. No. The thing is, I'm never home, so I would never be able. I would never be good with a pet. Butts are cats are awesome. But they also they that that is actually a myth that they can leave him home alone for you for days and days. You can't do that. Okay, you have cats there, two kittens, cats all ages. I'm a cat. I'm a cat. You should definitely come by. We do tours and you can just come. Yeah, stop by. You can just come do tours of the dogs and the cats and get to meet some of them. Beautiful, Thank you so much. Does he shed at a little bit? Not? All right? You're awesome. And he didn't pay on me. Yeah that's great, good good boy, good boy. So does he get a treat now or something? Okay? Yeah, later on for sure. Thank you so much. Thanks for bringing him in. Thanks to meet your ali. Wrong way this by this way? Okay, good good boy. Who's a good boy. Who's a good boy? Who's your good boy? Who are you talking to? The dog laughed already and you're still like practicing. How How did I do you take a picture of me? Yeah? Yeah, well it'll be posted by the time, hopefully by the time you hear this, you get like your worrided made a glass and you're gonna drop it. Pets. Freaked me out because yeah, yeah, I said it. I meant him him right. They freaked me out because I've never had one. I mean goldfish had seven goldfish and one day I put too much tetriment in the tank and it was all you know, the flake you have seven at once and killed them all, not all at once, they won one at a time. I overfed a couple. It was bad, you know, you know the tetriman. Yeah, the flaky food. Yeah, it's it's it's it's it's in the what is it, the brown and yellow tube or the bound and yellow bumps or whatever color the company makes it. Yeah, yeah, tetriment that Yeah, I supported the the flaky fish food. Yeah, fish and you kill the fish. Yeah, you got fall in the fish. You overfed them, like you over I couldn't keep you that alive, right, yeah, I go. You know what, I won them at the eighteenth Avenue Feast. Then they lost by getting you. I won them. I got the ping pong ball in the fish ball. You know. It's like that, we had those the festival. It's like almost like the San Gennaro Feast. So the way Havenue in Brooklyn, you pay a dollar and you quote unquote win, but they give you a fish they paid ten cents for, so you're not actually winning. That's the scam. The scam is they pay a dime. A fish is worth a dime. Yeah you can buy. Yeah, you go to the fish store buy like because you and then they give it to you in a plastic bag filled with water, right and the water is free dime bag and the pendent the bag itself was probably like half a penny in a box, you know. And so you're like, I won, and you're kids you're like, I want is the greatest thing ever, and your parents are like, great, we just spent a dollar for a ten cent fish, and now we have to buy a bowl and we have to buy food. And then the kid wants a treasure chest and a little man inside a little diver, so we got him company. We got like seven goldfis right, you've killed them all. They all died. That good job. But you know, but the back to my original point, I'm never home for my pets. I'm not home for cats or dogs. Yeah, but you're not home so you don't have animals. But if you had animals, you'd be home more. No, I want to I'm home and so so you're saying that I would schedule my day around my pet. No, but you might go, I gotta get home feed my dog, because you'd want to watch that kind of responsive book. I don't want home to feed myself. Would you go home for a shirtless will? Well, yeah, I have an appointment. That's about that. That's called fitness, right, did you like like a Craigslist thing? You call him up and you're like, hey, yeah, your little befell. What does that mean? That's a that's a boyfriend experience? Beefy? Well he is isn't he is? Beefy? Why are we going back to this because I'm all right, I'm just saying I'm fascinated by it, and you're fascinated that I can't hold her pet or talk to a dog. We'll look will you more nervous holding Will of the dog? Did you pet Will? Like you pet that dog? Did you give Will a treat? Love that? Did you say good boys? Stretching me out? Good boy? Did you give the back of your hand? You have hot dogs? I was gonna say, that is the only kind of dog you can take care of. It's a hot dog. Do you know what's in your hot dog? Yes? Do you know there's a lot, a lot of junk in a lot of hot dogs, but not our friends of Feltman's. They have no filler. There's no nitrates or nitrites. So I'm proud to say, show me the ingredients that when it comes to a Feltman's hot dog. Feltman's of Coney Island started in the eighteen sixties seven by V. Charles Feltman. And of course we know the story by now that Nathan worked for Feltman and then started his own business. Uh, this is why you and I don't hire a third person, because they'll just go into their own podcast. Yeah, if you check out Feltman's of Coney Island dot com, that's F E. L. T. M. A and S of Coney Island dot com. And by the way, and before you say that, check out our picture on Instagram of us checking out the actual Feltman's of corn Allen, because there's the brick and mortar on Surf Avenue in Brooklyn, Coney Island. And then there's also want to place, yes, but you don't have to go all the way there if you don't, you could also you go to the website. You can go to Amazon and jet dot COM's uh, you can go to Fairway Morton Williams, Mrs Green. You just pluralize the dot coms, didn't you, because because they're plural what they there's two websites you go to Amazon or Jet uh dot com. And then of course if you you go in person in your grocer's refrigerator right there where usually where the deli counter is asked for Feltman's of Crony Island, they really are, um second to none. People started tweeting us pictures of their Feltman's hot dogs. Um, I have them in my refrigerator. I know you do. I grilled mind. They're already gone. Speaking of gone, they're back. It doesn't matter who. But last week we got a couple of emails saying, hey, one of those websites is sold out. You guys sold out the website we did. They're back in stock, So if you are worried about out of stock, they're back. Definitely check them out. And they have a great story behind them. Uh. The Gothamist says, it's the most most likely the best hot dog you'll every in your life. It's so true. Uh, and uh it really takes hot dogs to a new level for me and for Brody. And of course we stand by the things that that we talked to you about and we we we introduced to the podcast. We were really excited when uh they came on board because they pretty much you know, they believe in us, believe in them. Yeah, it's not only Brooklyn, but it tastes great when I when the second I put one in my mouth and I took one bite, I was like, I was totally in heaven. And I'm the guy in the picture with the catch up on my hot dog and scraz mustard guy. That's where we draw the line with that's our big difference. But either way, you could have a plane. Healtpans Feltman's of Cone and dot com. I love it. We have hot dogs. We're gonna be talking about pizza in a little while. We got the best of all of our worlds, Brodie, how is this possible? Let me tell you something. If you're listening to this podcast and this stuff you like, go to a podcast because then people will will will want you to talk about the stuff you like because you love it. They know we we know pizza. We'll talk about the pizza thing later. We love hot dogs and we love steaks, and dude, you realize that hot dog, steaks, and pizza have all been a part of our podcast in our first year of existence. And I also want to say, since we're talking about people that are that are endorsing our our our podcast, shall it out to all the people that that that d m us and say, hey, congrats on on getting that endorsement, congrats on doing that commercial. Because it's a big deal to us that people trust us and that the podcast is as is as successful as it's become thanks to you guys, and the fact that you thank us and congratulate us for being successful. We appreciate it does me, It really does appreciate Okay, so let me tell you what I don't appreciate. If you have, you know, we're gonna take bets on how many minutes into the podcast that line will come out. Today it was thirty minutes, yea minutes without I'm gonna tell what I what I stositive, So let me tell you about what I did. I sort of messed up without realizing I was trying to be helpful. So when Scary and I walked to where we park our cars at work, we have to walk across one major avenue and on the other side of that major avenue is a police station police cause her all double park hundreds of police cars. And every day when you're crossing, the cars that are coming from straight ahead of us towards us right as we cross, if they made a right turn, would hit us. In other words, the right turn would be crossing the path of the street we're crossing. So, because it's such a busy street, the cars at the corner where the police station is, there's a sign behind us across the street that says turn right, and it's it's the picture of the arrow with the line right going to the right with a big fucking red ding right right. So there's a hundred police cars parked on this intersection and the police station is right there. And so if someone is going to make a right turn and I'm crossing the street and they're waiting for me, which is illegal, I turn around and I point to the sign like, hey, it's no turns. You can't make a right turn here, not to be addicted to if you happen to be crossing the street at the time in the middle of the cross right, which inevitably I am, and there's a car trying to make it right, right, So I point to the sign like no left. Yeah, Like, dude, don't make it right because it's the police here, Like you don't do it, don't do it. You're trying to tip people off. So sometimes I get the wave where they go, oh, thank you, they didn't see the sign right, And sometimes I get them making a right like I don't need you telling me not to make it right, Like they don't know if I'm a police officer, they don't care. I'm trying to help you out. So Monday, two days ago, I'm crossing the street. I already know how this ends. No you do not. This car goes to turn so I said, I point, like, no right turns. And from this car, I can't see in the car because the sun is shining and I can't see in the windows tinted. I hear who who, And the female police officer leans out the window and she goes, yeah, we know the rules. And I said, oh my god, sorry, officer. I was just trying to careful undercover police officers, so I said, just trying to be helpful, and they were not. We appreciate it. Now move. So I've gotten all kinds of people by point, never a cop right, And so I think the driver of the police officer driving was sort of like, hey, man, we know, shouldn't they lead by example? Though, well, I'm gonna say they should, but because I gotta say, it's very inconvenient that you can't make that right right. It forces us to go along around, a wound, around, around and around to avoid it. I know why they don't want right turns. It's one of those streets that backs up to to a really busy area, and so if you had to stop there, this is a one lane street while people crossed, and you waited to make that right, you'd be backing up traffic. And that's not good because that where it goes is not an area you want to back up. So because it's it's one lane getting out of there, if you made the right you'd back up everybody while you waited for the people across the street. I get that what they should do is make a right turn arrow right. Well, that takes too much time. They can't do that because then then then the traffic build. Right. So I tried to help these people and the police officers whoo whoo, whoo whoo. That was the s all, thats all. We get your attention for men, and as all, yeah, we're police officers. We're gonna make it right, thank you. If that's okay with you, thank you. We're gonna make a right turn now. So nothing but love for the officers. I'm just saying. They were like that was more of an apology. That was more of a hey, don't ticket me next time. Yeah, when I do that right, not right, because you know what I've seen. I've seen police officers standing on the corner right or parked right there and people make right turns right in front of them and they don't go after the dude. That's a layup to give that tickets. Right, it's like waiting. It's like it's like it's almost entrapment. It's it's it's just sitting there. And I know the one time I make that right, I'm gonna get the ticket. And you know what I'm gonna say. But I'm the guy. I'm the guy of points to the sign. I'm officer helper guy. Hey, congratulations. By the way, Oh what did I get on Saturday? You went to David Wright of the New York Mets is final game and you got to hang out with him. That's not That's not David the New York It's David right. You want to bring that up? Is that where you want to go? Now? Well, no, I just want to say I was. It warmed the cockles of my heart. There's another word, will in the sauna. You love the car, You love the callbacks. That's why I served them to You want to see You don't realize that you No, you didn't because you have You said you went chip, you had that face on, like cockles, the warm the cockles. Can I set the stage for what you're talking about? It? All right? Everybody? If you like sports or a TV show, you'll understand this. So every once in a generation, your favorite team has a player. Usually it's one, maybe it's two if you're lucky, but usually it's one player. And not every team has one who starts that career with your team, ends their team, their their their career with your team, and never wanted to leave your city and your team. The Tom Brady's, the Brett Farves, that Brett Farve played for four teams. Dude, well, but but he stayed there. But but I mean but that he was no best known in Green Bay. But yeah, but no, My point is David Wright never left. Yeah, Derek Jeeter right, right, exactly. But most players, even Peyton Manning, guys like that. And and Tom Brady may end up on another team. He says he won't, but you watch, he may get traded to San Francisco. Not that didn't wait a minute. So imagine knowing Kobe Bryant played for the Lakers his whole career, right, David Wright is that guy for met fans, which scary up until this week claimed to be. David Wright one of the greatest players in the history of our franchise, class act, one of the nicest guys, humble good looking guy made a name for himself with Met fans or or or non baseball fans. Girls love him. They show up in the game, Mrs Wright shirts married me, He got proposals. He was the face of the franchise. David Wright two years ago developed an illness that caused his spine too thin to narrow, called spinal stenosis. Tried to come back for two years. He played in the Mys. He's been struggling and he he can't come back. He can't make it to major league level. And they announced a couple of weeks ago that September twenty nine will be his last game, and immediately the game sold out. They have tribute videos. They're gonna put him on the field and he's gonna play, and in the middle of the game they're gonna pull him out of the game so that the fans can cheer for him. And any Met fan on Twitter who knows I'm a Met fan was like, brod, you gotta go. You're going right, of course, I'm going. Now scary, and I have what's called media passes. Were members of the media, and they let you get into the stadium. They don't give you seats, but they get into the stadium, right, So I didn't bother getting a ticket because I knew I could get in the stadium. So the problem with that is you can't just go with a buddy because they're gonna have a seat and you're not gonna have a seat. You could only really go with someone with a media pass, so you can go to the press booth together. And Bernie and I have been going to games many many we we we've we've gone for years and we're very fortunate were where we have. We know a lot of people with the Mets. They treat us like gold. And I called him up and I said, hey, can you arrange for us to get in the media working lot? No problem? I said, I would drive, no problem. And so everything is all set. We're all going. We're both going because Scary is doing a guy I can go with, really, because he's got a media credential like I do. On Friday, the day before this epic event for for our guy, our guy, he's retiring at thirty five, he's young, he can't play anymore. Scary says to me, Hey, man, I messed up. So what he says, Uh, I gotta spend Saturday with my girl, I said, you spent Wednesday with your girl. We went to see Frozen on Broadway. That was a bonus scene. The thing is I hadn't seen her in like two weeks, two days earlier, but that would that didn't count. There was only for a couple of hours dinner at John's Pizza, and he was frozen, and that was it, and I gotta get before in the morning. But a Saturday night her, Okay, how a long? How long I was in Vegas the weekend before? Did you take her to Vegas? No? It couldn't see her, that's your I was work. You should have taken it a Vegas point, didn't I didn't gooffen fun hold on a sacrifice, nold not no, no, no. You could have spent time with her Friday night and gone with meeting the game Saturday night. It was a night game. You could have had sex with all afternoon. Had I had an event I think to do Friday night, were about Saturday the whole day, you could have gone with it. So I'm not gonna leave her flat. I'm not gonna flat leave her on you. It was sort of light to me. You said, she really wants to go to the Global Citizens concert in Central Park. I got tickets. I didn't realize it's the same night. You made it seem like you got these tickets a while ago and you couldn't go. So she's been wanting to see Janet jacks Hold on, it's fine. Janet Jackson was playing. And you know what, you didn't even get to see Janet. Well, that's a whole other you can see Janet Jackson because that they thought there was like shooting and it was people stepping on water bottles and after so and you didn't even go back. You ran out of the park because you he was scared. I get that. And then you didn't bother to go back in, even go back in. Don't put her on the phone yet. I'm about tune my story. I'm about telling my story. Keep telling you start? Oh no, I can't test the story. Story. Hold on telling in front of her. It's about you though, it's not about her. No, I want to talk trash. I don't want her on the phone robbing. Okay, we're doing our podcast. Are you at work? I am man. We can't talk. You can't walk outside into a room. Did you walk into a room? Yeah, don't have you on speaker, Robin, because I'm yelling continue. Okay. So, so I was just getting to the point where Scary he was supposed to go to med game with me, and he says to me, we're gonna go with my girlfriends Sue festival. So I said, why can't Robin go with a friend? You get the tickets, He's I got to the tickets. I gotta take her. I want to spend a Saturday with her, just out of curiosity, Robin, do you know the importance of David right to the Mets organization? Him more or less? Okay? Do you know that a Met fan, a Mets fan, would really want to be there. He's the face of the franchise. Our guy came up at the Mets in two thousand and four. He's the best player ever to come out of the farm system, everyday player. Uh, he's retiring. Emotional night, biggest event for the medicine years. What yeah on her? Talk to her? She's dead. To me, it's Derek Cheeter. Let's say Derek Cheater his last game, and you wanted to go, and Scary says. Scary says, I want to go to the club tonight. I need you to go to the club with me. Would you have gone to the club and would you expect it? Scared to understand and send you to the Yankee game? You know, you know what he could have gone, but he didn't ask. So yeah, I didn't even ask. And get this Robin he made me season. Oh I got these tickets. I didn't realize it was the same night. Do you know when he got the tickets. I didn't know when he had the tickets. So I went to the game with Danielle de Lillo. We've had her on the podcast. She got a really sick New York yelling Danielle, you know, fuck you over here? That Danielle. So she and I go to the game. We meet up, but for the game, we go on the field. We watched David Wright take batting practice and fielding practice. You got there at four o'clock. Yeah, and then I get to meet David right, I can talk to him. She took a picture with him. I took a picture of him. All the people are all the people at the STATEUM that know Scary and they know me. The security guard who takes care of us, the other the other the Austro takes care of us. The people who work for the Mets. They're like, hey, we're Scary. Go oh, he's at a concert with his girlfriend. What concert? He should be here. It's the biggest day of the year. I said, you know what, Robin, it was my daughter's visiting day of college. I haven't seen her since August. And I said, and I told my daughter there was David right night. And she said, it's David. Right. I understand. I know how much you no, she said, I'll be home in a couple of weeks. You go, it's important to you. So Dan yell and I go to the game and we're sitting there and I'm like, I can't believe Scary's not here. But you know what, he got these tickets for his girlfriend to go to this thing. So and he got the dates missed up. She says, Oh, no, he didn't. I said, what are you talking about, Danielle, She says, he came to me Friday morning and asked me for the tickets. I gave him the tickets Friday morning, the day before the Met game. You already had plan to go at me. We had plans, and then after you had plans, then you asked for tickets. You made it sound like you had tickets and you missed. You you miscalculated. Okay, you got the tickets knowing you and I had plans. You sound like like my wife. What would that be like? You sound like my mother. You sound like everybody in my life could say. Let me say something. Okay, I missed my girlfriend. I hadn't seen her, and Wednesday I was that citizens Wednesday, Robin. I told him Wednesday didn't count. She got dressed off. You guys hung out, ate pizza together, you went and see Frozen on Broadway? Well, has that nut count? At Robin? What were you guys doing Saturday afternoon? Tell him? Tell him why it doesn't count. You guys could have done whatever you were doing on Saturday. Tell him why didn't count? No work, you know, working, you know for Frozen. We came to talk to and watch the play. Rightly, So what happened Friday night? All day Saturday? Well, Friday night it was busy. I have an event. But the point is, no, that's not the whole thing. The whole thing is the weekend before we're talking about Saturday nights, the weekend before you knew the game was a Saturday. Oh my god, I didn't seen her in a while. Holdop seeing her in a while. Let me ask you a question. Hold on, hold on, hold on, let me ask you a question. Had you not been able to get the tickets for this concert, yeah, you still wouldn't have gone to the game. Probably not so why so? Okay, I honestly listened Robin's one. I understand spending time Robin. Robin, you do not love you. You You know Garrett from our Big Show gave He said that was a pro move man. That was pro that you did that. No sacrifice, no question that you went with Robin. I understand that. But you knew this game was a Saturday for three weeks. Yeah, why did you make plans with me? Why did you make plans? I'll go to the game, Brody, We'll go. It to be great. I I don't. I don't think we ever confirmed though. That's the thing, we never con We have to confirm what you texted the guy about us seats. You told him we were coming. I didn't because that was for you. But I you know, you go with somebody else. You went with Danielle, So no, I didn't. I went alone and she met me. That you seem upset that I wasn't there. I'm upset that you made plans and then the day before you're you're downstairs on the second floor begging for concert tickets. Well, you knew we had plans on Thursdays. I knew how much my girlfriend wanted to see Janet Jackson at Global Citizens. Don't don't talk about how that ended, how how was Janet? We didn't even right. Well, but but this story is told, why didn't you go back in the park to come back? There was For those who don't know, it was a major national headline, a barricades fell, people ran. They thought it was some kind of skirmish or people stepped water bottles, and it sounded like, I get while you ran out, but we can go back to a gate, pin to a gate at a climb of fence and then duck for cover, and then we ran out because by that point our nerves were shot, were emotionally spent, and we're like, you know what. And by the way, most people left, no like thousands of sixty people. That means there's only a few dollars in that state. I didn't you go back in va Janet? Because tell him, tell him, Robin, No, it was very promatizing. We thought there, you know, there was a lot of stuff going on there, the Vegas shooter, right, but once you found out it was water bottles. We didn't find that out too long after. Yeah, and then all the people who went back in, and you don't know if they adequately got checked by such perty. You just felt them stafe in general. If if they opened the plot back up, that means it's safe. And by that time, when we were hungry and we just stumbled into a restaurant and we had dinner and then that was it. But that that wasn't supposed to happen. It wasn't supposed to play out like that. We were supposed I was doing this because I thought, Hey, my girlfrien want to see Janet Jackson. I'm gonna go see Janet Jackson. Karma, that's what you got, karma. All right, let's change the subject. We'll have you on the phone, Robin. Are you aware of scary sauna expedition? Yeah, it's a little weird. It's a little weird. Apparently your boyfriend was in a hot sauna, my gosh, wetty and topless with a ripped trainer who was stretching him and massaging and and and and and his hands are on his glutes. I don't even know what that was going on. And he had him doing something like, well, let's say you walked in on two guys rubbing it up. You would think something's going on, right I I start to wonder, Yeah, I gat not the thing wrong with it. But at the last I checked, scary you straight? Will is straight, But you guys are rubbing each other and stretching and jerking and pulling and and and and it didn't happen that way. He was hot and bothered. Not happened that way. I mean, you know, Robin, Robin talking good Robin. No, No, I was just saying the good news is he's working out now. I never thought i'd see that thank you liver line to every clus just cool prody and a saul and phone, because why would But now because because you're in the wrong here, Okay, let me ask you a question, Robin, let me your question. Scary scary if you walked into the sauna. We're not talking about this. Hold back to David, hold on, would you be okay with with Will being her personal trainer and rubbing her up? Topless and sweaty. I would have no problem with it. You'd have no problem with that because I know it's all for the exercise. You will afterward if you walked in and saw a hot trainer rubbing up on any any girl USA right, half naked, sweaty, stretching body pots, you would assume something was going on, wouldn't you know? Not at all? You're full of it. No, because it's all it's clinical. Huh. I know the science of working out thanks to Will. Uh huh oh yeah, you know. Yeah, he used to be dropping some knowledge on me. So, Robin, how long before you think scary's gonna look like Will? To do it a little bit more often? It at least like four or five times he got me for That's about it. Amount four to five. You want to be ripped to do four to five. I don't want to be ripped or shredded. I just want to be yeah, violated. Back to what's your comments about Brody thinking that I belong at the David right night and not at with you. We'll see in Janet Jack, I keep in mind, much like when he was in that song of a well, he blew me off. Who don't know, it sounds like you're not interested in going. I wasn't interesting. I wasn't interested in going. I I did want to go through David right night. But I I that's what's called compromise in a relationship. That's what's called sacrifice. Yeah, I got sacrifice. We're making progress. Let's see. Yeah, I know. I listen. I appreciate that your better boyfriend. I'm just saying you need to be a better friend. If you had said to me two weeks ago, I can't go that game. I've got a commitment. But you said you a going with me, and then the day before you like, we never confirmed when we don't need to confirm. I said, we're going, right, and you're like, yeah, that's what that's your mistake. It's an event. It's a calendar kind of put in his calendar. He knew we were going. I said, dude, we're going. He's like, yeah, it's David, right, our guy, that's our Yeah, that's our boy. Yeah, it was our boy. The greatest homegrown everyday player in the history of the franchise. There'll never be another one in our lifetime like him. Never, And you didn't you didn't say goodbye you didn't. You didn't go, all right, everyone knew you were going. I'm sure, I'm sure he misses me. You really really drilling me into a grant in the ground tonight. Who am I your personal trainer? Yeah? All right, all right, all right, Robin, Robin, I'm not I'm not mad. I'm not mad he took you. I'm just mad he was sneaky about it and lied to me. All Right, thanks Robbing, goodbye that woman the Saint hold On. I crossed it off my list now because I was gonna get to that later. Glad, Glad that you're venting. Glad, this is one giant vents section session for you. No. I also don't like what you did yesterday. What did I do yesterday? Brodie? Remember we had David Burke from David Burke Kitchen, all his woodpeck of restaurants and everything. So there that that big piece of wood with like a clothesline on it, and his specialty is that they take close pins and they hang thick cut bacon with like some kind of caramel glass sugary glaze on it. There's all kinds. It's it's it's a fat slab of bacon. This is the you're imagining. So he and his chef are walking with this six foot long plank of wood with bacon hanging on. The bacons had like a science like a science project. When you get the volcano that erupts. They were very carefully carrying it into the studio and the door locks right so they couldn't get into the studio as they're carrying this thing. So somebody opens the door and right, and you're not helping them carry it at all. They walk in, You're behind them, I'm behind you. You're filming them for your snapchat, your instant story, whatever. And you go in the door and you're filming and the door hits me. You don't hold the door for me because you're like, I gotta get the video, dude. When there's bacon ermeating the air, and then and and and then there's food about I am there, Yeah, food more about social media. I'm laser focused on you, a laser focused on filming and not caring that the door hit me. You get you get locked up and ship man, you get locked up in it. You get so focused, like laser free. My math is watering thinking about David. That was when what do you think about Wiel's bacon. Anybody that that bacon was outrageous. It was really good. You know what I did? I tried to do a good deed. I try, you know, you try to be nice and it backfires, like you're taking your girlfriend to the concert. So I had two giant pieces of the bacon. It's like a half a pound of bacon each. It's a lot. So I ate one and a half and I was like, you know what I'm gonna take to I said him to take to the half home because I know my wife and one of my kids really like bacon. So I put it in a container. I took it home and I warm it up. When they come home, I put in a heating up a bit and they they share it. Right. I was like, is it good? Oh, it's fantastic. They what'll coming? He brought home half a piece? Why why didn't you bring home more? I'm trying. I did a nice thing. Yeah, they said like, how could you want to bring a half? Like fighting over crumbs a depth? Yeah? Why even bother? I would just like shove the other half in my mouth. It was it. I had to be honest, I was it was. It was too good. I have to be honest, alright, us jokes, Yeah, I think it's time. There the unused punch lines that Brodie gave to people on the show, and they never made it to the show because they were either two crass or not funny enough. But you'd be the judge. They're always funny enough, more often than not, just a little pervy or crash. But we like that here in the Brooken Boys podcast. But sometimes they're just clunkers, but not often, not often off the music. I am not gonna have you sparched my jokes. Sparks you what that word means. It means to put down or I'm not gonna put them down. You've got great punch, don't us smirch my jokes. I'm not gonna be I'm not gonna Papa Smurphit all right. So a woman was talking about we're talking about fringe benefits of your job. You always get food sent up here, and she said her husband works in a stadium, a sports stadium, you know, the kind of place where David Wright might retire and you'd want to be there. Yeah, whipped. Okay, So it's like when you went to sebster Man of Scotto and didn't take me and the Victoria's Secret paget you didn't take me. Sorry, it's pattern. By the way, Sebster Man of Scotto is gonna be on our show, Big Show. You know I booked him. I know you did because we had him on the podcast. We had him on the podcast, and then now he's gonna be I think he was on like episode twelve that was a long time a long time ago, and now he's coming up to the Big Show because we found out from his person, his people that he loves the Elvis rand Warning show. So he's aware of us and likes us. Well, how could he not? So will be on in a couple of weeks. Quoting the comedians in Cars on Jerry Seinfeld series, Yeah, he's gonna be on that. I would love it if Jerry had me on that show. But I'm not I'm not a name. How great would it be if Jerry Seinfeld came on the show? What do you think about? Do you ever? So? Um? I forget what comic it was. Who does a great Jerry Seinfeld impression? He said, the key to doing a Jerry Seinfeld impression, the key that makes Jerry's the syntax. The way he speaks so unique is that he accents. I think it was Jason Alexander, who played George, talked about that Jerry accents the one word in the sentence that you wouldn't accent, So like who are these people? You could say who are these people? Or you could say who are these people? But you wouldn't accent the r he says, who are these people? Right? The right? He accents the one word you that you wouldn't normally accent where everybody that's the that's the key. So if Jerry would like to have me on Comedians and Cars getting coffee, even it was like comedians on a bench, uh not making eye contact, I would love that I would go on that show with him. I'm just not I've got nothing nice to say about him because he he uh sucked me over the time that I saw on the podcast earlier. Right, yeah, listen to one of the earlier episodes. No, you should have already heard it. That's right. You listen to order, You do listen to order. You know, should we have Drake tell us? No? You know what have pro jem remind people? Because I want to bring something up real quick. Order you need to listen order. You need to. We should have to, and you listen to order. You will already have known that Steve Martin and Jerry Seinfeld were at a party and I interrupted them, and instead of getting a picture, I got about a three minute conversation with both of them and nothing to to prove it. And then when I went online telling everybody that I spoke to them, they were like, pictures or it didn't happen. Pictures are it didn't happen? Right, So so they're they're in lies the problem because you need the freaking picture every time. Conversation is not good enough. I'll tell you. That's why he's on my ship list, all right. So speaking of he doesn't take picture, speaking of listening in order, I want to Steve Martin was up for that picture. He should we do it? Should we do it? And was like who is this guy? Yeah, I'll get to the jokes to the second. I just want to give a special shout out to uh Divezzi one three. It could be Dave z z i E but however you pronounce it. So he slip into my DMC says I just finished episode fifty four. I'm now starving for pizza. So we're talking about pizza in general. But we're gonna be talking aboutizza in a minute. I just put my lady on the Brooklyn Boys podcast. She's hooked. I guess you, man, I just to put her onto it. I Uh, I can't. I caught, Okay, I have to. A couple of words are maybe little typos. I caught myself laughing today as I'm unloading the gas off my truck. I turned around and people are looking at me like I was crazy. I just wanted to say, whoever emails you complaining about you getting free dessert at the Chinese restaurant? Uh, needs to stop being a snowflake because I had the grape soda incident, what you guys already know about. By the way, Elvis is upset about the grape soda story he wants to talk about on the Big Show. It's never okay to have and you're wrong. It's never okay to have shifty customer service. No one gets away with it, especially around my neck in the woods. My lady asked me why I'm so high strung over the shiety customer service these days? And why do I always get upset when stuff is wrong and they mess up. I told her just listen to the Brooklyn Boys. Free dessert is a part of life, even as not even and uh and then he sent me a video which I can't replay because Instagram doesn't let you play the video more than once. Uh. It was a video of him singing the Pearl jam Listen in order parody. So it was fantastic, So thank you for that. All right, let's get to the Uh come on now, come on now. So the husband brings home and he works at a sports arena and every night brings home the old chips and uh, things that that don't get sold, that are going to be thrown out. So my joke was, oh, yeah, they're so old they're Derito's warm ranch because they're not cool anymore. Uh. Today someone called in sais quot her husband. Uh, she caught his wife cheating. He pulled up alongside of a florist van and it was rocking, and uh the florist was having sex with her in the van. And I said, oh, so you're saying he planted your wife by the way and that one. Um, he did my joke, Otherwise I would have had it here for this podcast. Yeah, he did do your joke. My joke was, so you got deflowered, So she got deflowered. And he also did mother joke, which was Danielle said, did you have a long stem? The guy banging you? One? Which is nice? It was nice. He got the three jokes got on that one did not. Um oh, we were talking about mob names. If we had a nickname based on our persona, what would our mob names be? And my joke for you was you'd be Garlic Pete. We didn't get to that. Uh oh, there's an example of a clunker to me that that one wasn't so great. You're garlic Pete. Okay, So we did a story that Share came home singer Share and they found they there was a guy breaking into her house. She came home and there was a guy in the house. So my joke was they found someone. She found someone someone a right to take away. That's right. Why do they have this? I have a punchline that we were talking about fitness. There's something going on about fitness. I don't know what fitness, twinky in your mouth? It was. It was a joke that I gave him. Do anything you know about fitness? Maybe I don't know. There was there was a story that he did and then he rejected it, and I'm like, I'm gonna use this on the podcast. But the problem is I don't have to set up because no, Danielle did a story today about has It three Hours Chicago on NBC Three Hours Chicago Crossover, Chicago Mad, Chicago Fire, Chicago p D what Justice whatever. The third one is, I don't care, don't tweet me. So I said, is Chicago Pizza show yet, because I'd watch that. I will watch show about Chicago pizza. Little Wayne, uh lazy baby? Right? Oh? Oh, so somebody called up and said they wear support hose. I said, I said, Little Wayne has support homes. They go on stage with him. Yeah. And then lastly, Cardi b this week turned herself into the police and uh because she had a bar fight. Right. So my joke was she's making bail moves when you get to that. So and right, right, can we talk about something we agree on? Yes, let's talk about the first annual Pizza Festival, which, by the way, there'll be many more. A little music. Has there ever been an appearing that was right up our alley? So I want to say there's gonna be over thirty pizza places from all five boroughs of New York and all over the country. So where you're listening to, one of your pizza places maybe coming. We don't have the full list yet, but people around the country, Uh, we got let's see. Brandon Risotto says, I wish I could be there. I'm all the way in Texas. Lisa Ellers says, I feel like this is worth a plane ticket from Iowa. I say it might be. We're talking about the New York Pizza Festival. Of course. It's happening this Saturday and Sunday, October six and seven, uh, in the little Italy of the Bronx, right up there near Arthur Avenue, on a place called Crescent Avenue. And it's uh, it's basically going to be from noon to six on Saturday and noon to four on Sunday. Now, I was told that it's free to enter, that you don't need tickets like you and that sauna. But here's the deal. You're gonna walk up and down that that street and there's gonna be thirty pizza makers there, and your mouth is gonna because they're gonna give you samples. This is how they get you, and this is how they get you in the door. And then they'll taste little taste of eats pizza. So you're gonna want to buy tickets because you're gonna want to. They have like a slice, a three slice package, a six slice package, and a ten slice package comes with beer and wine and everything. Go trust me on the on the ten slice package, it's a hundred bucks for ten slices, but you get to choose any of it. So you get to sample from any of the thirty and then you say, you know what the ten best, You're getting full slices of those. That's when you pay for the tickets now added bonus. Brodie and I will be there Saturday afternoon for the ribbon cutting kickoff Saturday from noon to two. Brodie and I will be walking around sampling pizza. I don't think I'm gonna eat Friday. I may get there like nine o'clock in the morning, just like it starts smelling the pizza cooking. I wouldn't. If you're gonna have the big scissors, you know, how great have you ever cut the big ribbon with the big scissors? Have done that? Yeah, So we're gonna be there. Here's I want you to do. Never mind, you hold on, you go to you go to n Y Pizza Festival on Instagram and take a look at some of the pizzas they're gonna be there. Oh my god, they've been showcasing them for the last month and they you know what, They've been extra cruel to us, those guys because they've been tagging us, making me hungry. So I see the tag, I go to the pizza n Why Pizza Festival on Instagram and I'm like, oh my god, so it's this week. I cannot wait. N Y see Pizza Festival dot com to buy your tickets in advance, and n why would no cee n Why Pizza Festival on Instagram to see the pizza's. But it's free to get, free to enter. Just show just show up on Crescent Avenue in the Bronx and with us on Saturday noon to two pizzas from around the country and one from Naples, Italy. Nice. I'm so hungry right now. And no debate over like like oh this state, that state, They're gonna be all there, the best pizza states in the country. Yeah, uh, you wanted to talk about something you don't What was this thing about somebody who wouldn't bend down for you? Okay, we're talking about Will and the song. By the way, I didn't want to. I didn't want to say anything in the middle of that break that we were doing about pizza, when you were talking about all the different packages. So I write your own joke about Will, Will and the and the sauna. So if you've ever gone to a supermarket, your regular supermarket, and you like it, you don't appreciate it until you go to a supermarket that is a bad supermarket. So I happened to have since I'm a kid, I love and they've they've changed the company name, but the recipe has been the same. There's only one company that's like Heinz Ketchup. Just to me, it's only Ketchup potato sticks. Right now, they're made by Frenches. Before that they were made by Turkey, and before that they were another Q and A or whatever. But it's the same blue can look canister, I know the one you're talking about, right, So the top is, oh, yeah, they they didn't funk with the recipe. No, it's the same. Since I'm a kid, I put that I put them on everything. Everything is not an endorsement, not a sponsor. That's not sauce I'm doing. I'm just telling you the story. I love these potato sticks and put them on all my sandwiches. They go with like tuna fish, they go with salamie, they go with everything. I love them. I love them. We talked about like on the show today. On the Big Show, Elvis said, what would you endorse? And I said, catch up and catch up and potato sticks and my two favorite things to put on everything. I love them. So my regular supermarket does not carry them. Target does not carry them. So you have to go to the shitty. So I called up I called up Frenches, and I said, where in my area do you have right? So they said, you can go to this place really far from your house, or this place which is near where I was gonna be, not near my house. I'm not gonna say the name of the chain. Just know that the one I went to was the Super one super grocery. We'll just leave it at that. They have regular and Super so I thought I'll go to the super one. So I go there in the parking lot is relatively empty. I wonder why I didn't know why. Well, you shouldn't found out. I should have. I should have realized when I when you get to the front door, right, the carts are all lined up to the left of the doors. Okay, all of them to the left and to the right is all like bales of hay getting ready for the fall. So when you get a wagon, you you walk towards the two doors. Your your your propensity is to go to the first door. That's the exit, which makes no sense. You should put the carts on the other side so that when you get a cart, you go in the entrance. Right. No, they put them by the exit. The fuck. You know why, because it's convenient, because that's what people leave them. Nobody takes all their groceries out as they're leaving. They go to the car, so I have an opportunity to put them in the right spot. Right. So already I'm like, oh, dumbasses, already I noticed a problem. So I go in. I've never in my life seeing a grow. Because I had side other things to pick ups. I made a little list before I went in. I'm like, oh, I need to at this, this and this and this. We're all brand loyal, right, we like the chili we like, we like the tomato sauce, we like whatever. All of the beams in this place they have like not not the ceiling they have like these white beams going across the ceiling that they can look decorative. All the beams are gray. They were like gray and awful, dirty, filthy. I go up and down each aisle that might have the potato sticks, the snack aisle, the soda snack aisle, the cracker aisle, the chips. I don't see them initially, but I've never seen a grocery store that had that many things and yet had nothing. Every aisle was packed, filled up beautifully, with no brand I would ever want. I'm like, Oh, I'm gonna go get nope, Oh go get my tomato sauce. Nope. I don't even know what they like. It's the kind of place if you went for detergent, they wouldn't have tied that kind of place. I was afraid to go down to catch a bile for fear of them not having hies. But but you knew that they had your potatost sticks. I was told they did. Yes. The people who were shopping there looked like the They were straight from the Walking Dead, like they were walkers, just looked like their life had left them and they had nothing to live for except trying to find cut right ketchup. I don't know what they were doing there. The woman behind the deli counter, it wasn't even taking numbers. She was sitting down reading her phone like. It was just depressing. It was a depressing experience in this supermarket. Have you been to a place like this? Okay? I at the Jersey Shore there was a very depressing place. There was a fluorescent light bulb that was like not really out, so it was flickering. It was like this place closed three years ago, but nobody told them that was the That was terrible. So I go up and down abode. I asked somebody, Hey, do you have French is pisticks um? Did you check the snack ail? Yeah? I did, because we're standing five ft from the snack al. Yeah I checked it. I don't know, so I showed him a picture on my phone. It looks like this. I don't know. I'll have to ask customer service. I go up to custom service. Hey, what I'll would I find? Uh? French's pasticks? Did you check the snack ail? Yeah, yep, yep. But check the snack out because that's where I would go. Check the snack all did you did you check the cookie? Cookie? Classified? That? I don't know. You're like potato chips, but there's stick for him. There's nothing sweet about right. So I'm like, all right, I got this. I'm gonna give it another shot. I'm gonna go up every aisle that's close that could possibly be. I checked the baking aisle, I check every aisle. So go to the aisle with can. Did you the kids check the milk and dairy and frozen food section? This is terrible, so I I I'm looking now. So I decide maybe they're hidden in the back of a shelf, Like they're all the way in the back. So I go back through the aisles and I'm looking. So I finally I find two cans in the up shelf, all the way in the back right of like this salsa and there's some chips. It's like a miscellaneous whatever. I'll and it's still it misclassified. It's not it's not. So I take the two cans to the left. I buy the two cans. I go to the register. I picked up like a one one other thing they had, like at the one thing and the two cans and potato sticks. And I go to the register. There's no express line. There's just two people that look like thank you. And I go to the register and it looks like this person didn't have their coffee and the like. And I'm like, what part of super? I don't see the super? Where's the super part of this super grocery? So you know, when you go to a grocery store, whatever you buy that like they spit out like ten tickets like receipt receipt, coupon, coupon, receipt, receipt, receipt. So I go and I and I go to the register and I and uh it, I pay for my my thing, and the receipts come out, and a coupon for ice cream that I eat falls to the floor. I see it, like I see there's uh what is halo top halotops excellent by the way, not a sponsor um. And I see the coupon it falls to the floor. So this woman, her name is, I'm gonna tell you, her name is ROBERTA larger woman, larger than the average Roberta. And I say to her, uh you dropped my coupon, dropped my coupon. She says, no, I didn't. So I said, yeah, you dropped a coupon for Halo Top. Have the coupon? Great? And she says, she looks down coupon. I go, So I go, you dropped the coupon, and I you know, I saw the coupon. It was like a dollar fifty off or whatever. I think it was all fifty off. I go, Can I just he just give me the coupon. I can come back here and get it. She looks down again. She goes and drop any coupon, and she looks at me, like, stop asking me about the coupon and drop a coupon. And I said, well, you know, I'm supposed to get coupon ca and you printed another one another? What another coupon? Another coupon for the Halo Top. And she's like why and see coupon. I don't know what coupon it was. I go, it's the one on the floor by your feet. See coupon. There's no look again. So I'm like I had to go. I had to go pick my daughter up. So I'm like, I can't do this. I can't. I just suck it. I'm not coming back here to get ice cream. I hate this place. I'm never coming back here again. So as I pack up my grocer, had to pack up my own two cans and head sticks at the end because she didn't do it. And as I get to the end, you know, you can see where she's standing. You can see on the side and the coupon between No, it was by your feet. Obviously doesn't want to bend and get the coupon. She obviously, I'm a personal trainer like you do. Scary, and so I said, So I said, hey, Robert Burda, because it said on a name tag on her super grocery name tag, Roberta. You see that take that coop on the floor for Halotop ice cream. That's the one I wanted. But don't worry, honey, I'm not coming back. But thank you. But don't tell me there's no coupon. It's right there. And she had to look on her face like, oh man, I'm busted. I'm still not picking it up, but I'm busted. Maybe she wanted it for herself. Maybe she wanted to buy Halotop ice cream later when she got off flo. So you think she's doing the old Oh I can't get the coupon nothing, I see it's double negative. But yeah, okay, so she saw something, that's something that she would say. So you're assuming she doesn't speaking this well either. No, I'm for other reasons because she's stupid, because she was probably in charge of putting the fucking shopping carts. So you know what, fuck you, Roberta, A big fuck you. My coupon was fire feet. Could we call her Roberta? Just because? Okay? Sure, mil that sounds like it's mail time. Welcome, you've got mail. Oh, yes, it is mail time. We got a gian Carlo moscaa emailing us at the Brooklyn Boys Podcast at gmail dot com. You can email us to the Brooklyn Boys Podcast at gmail dot com. The theme from Larry David Kenny Underscore Row Arc listen to the podcast was great. Not really sure why all the time? Scary's fallback line is you are an only child? Why should someone care about that? Thank you Kenny? Because only childs have complexes and they always they never got the debate brothers and sisters, and they never experienced loss in an argument. They always have to win no, that's not true. I thought my parents all the time. Uh, Josh Josh Arco or Josh Charco three when you are ready to pay full price, but all for the discount code to do a quiz. In my opinion, the whole message is poorly written, as I had some confusion in regards my paperwork order. I didn't recall warning order any paperwork. Oh god, paper work order. People are capitalizing and separating words left and right here. I thought I should say written work orders or something along those lines. Anyway, thank you and keep up your good work.
