Speaker 1: Start up that up Brooklyn. By start up Brooklyn buys data, they're making noise data dot up. Its episode three of the Brooklyn Boys podcast. Where do people come off? Man? Where do these people have balls? When you get something for free like T shirt from the radio station, is there any right? Hold on, hold on sorry, Episode thirty three of Brooklyn Boys. I'm David Brody. That's scary Jones. I'm sorry. My head was in my phone when you started hitting the jingle. I I can't believe I'm I'm about to complain and held on a second. This is not I want to reference Brody and scary, scary and Brody because you got a picture of both of us wearingt jersey like that this week where who took the picture? By the way, so our friend um l G. Pete at Cat hit the jingle because they are they are scary Jones held on product could have just called him Pete formerly Panasamics Sonic people without not a client, not a client. So anyway, by l G. If you're listening, love you, love you guys. And by the way, I read a review on sen that which is my favorite electronics review page. I told you I have been buying Samsung TVs for about six years now because they were the thing. And I went on seeing that to to look up the new lead and it reviewed it as the best TV they've ever reviewed. Yeah, that's not a product in doors any money. I'm going to tell you the same thing. And in addition to that, they do have and this is not me speaking from an electronics nut, they've got the richest colors in the blackest blacks. Anyway. No, I'm not gonna make the joke. But anyway, long story short, but I researched the colors and the blacks and the and l G TVs have won major awards best so I'm not gonna give you too much grief. So point of that, you and I were standing next to each other in the studio on my left and I was on the right. And then I said, oh my god, Brodie and I huge Met fans. We're both wearing Mets jerseys with our names on the back. And I immediately thought back to the night that you fucked me at the Steakhouse from the Invitations the Scary Jones David Brodie. Brodie, Yeah, you play cuts to each other and you said, Brodie said, I said, I'm gonna I'm gonna suck him. So I went outside to Pete who was standing in the hallway, and I said, yo, listen, in about three minutes, I'm gonna go cash nonchalantly walk up to Brody. I'm gonna stand next to him, and I need you to get a tight shot of the backs of us. We're gonna be looking away from the camera. Just get out, just get our faces and our heads going, you know, the back to the Jersey's and I we're gonna be standing in scary Brody order, and just take a couple of pictures, send it to me and then that's it. That's all I need you to do. I'll take it from there. And he did. He got the perfect picture, put it all over Twitter. Scary Brodie. Right. But here's the thing. Everyone Jewish read it right to left and said Brody and scary tribe of hashtag tribe. By the way, we're recording this on Good Friday. I'm sorry, we're reporting it on Passover and Good Friday, which so I'm gonna go pass over Good Friday as the Brodyan scary and you can go Good Friday and pass over. So what I was about to say at the top of this pass over the brody of holidays. Truth for you that the thing that bothers me brody is I was in the middle of writing back an email. I've been on an email chain with this dude for like five months now. He was supposed to get two extra large T shirts from us a couple of months ago, and well, why don't you just send him one to extra large? That's who I was about to do. You blew my joke. Oh sorry, all right. The point is he's getting it. He's getting it for free, and he's been back and forth with me, and he had the audacity to write, how long does it take to send too extra a large T shirts in the mail? So I'm thinking, like, wait a second. We don't know this guy anything. We don't we don't know him ship. We are the kindness of our hearts sending him. We we said that we would send him a couple of T shirts, so we sent him, were sending him some I was rant T shirts. It just so happens. I did some research as to why it hasn't been sent, and we we are out of extra So I just I was in the meal of typing an email back to him was like, hey, Bud, did some research. Sorry about there's no double excels uh with with two X two XL, there's x X can double xcel service one or two one XCEL? What one to XL? No, you said shirts. No, no, you said suh what double XL. You know you said we're too xcel suffice. Okay, it sounds like you said, sir Rice, sir Rice. Sounds like you said something that wasn't suffic. No, no, no, I know about the word suffice. Don't test me. By by the way, by the way, speaking of suffice, the expression is suffice it to say, suffice it to say. People say suffice to say? Who say that? Well, like they say, I was taken back. You're taking it all back? Right? Yeah? So anyway do we do we owe this? Do I even owe him an explanation? Because as you were playing the jingle to the show, I'm seeing anything like wait a second, he's getting free shirts like they'll they'll arrive when they get there. Like if we had messed up and they were getting the shirts as free dessert, Nope, no, then we would un apology. But this is, hey, we'll give you some shirts. He asked for some shirts. We gave him. Elvis was the kind of contents of his art in our defense to make him feel better. If you listen to the Olvis rad In Morning Show today, which is listen on the on demand channel, one of our first calls this morning complained they've waited almost twenty years to a T shirt they won and uh, they never got it. Sometimes things get stuck in the cracks sometimes. Yeah, it's what we mean. Well, we do mean well and yes, whatever your name is, Carmelo Chaconi, okay for getting your shirts at something. Speaking of baseball, which opening day for every team except the Reds and Nationals, who were delayed a day opened up yesterday. That was fun day, right. It was supposed to be the first time in like forty years that every team opened up on the same day. Usually the Cincinnati Reds opened up the day before. Traditionally it's it's just a tradition. I'm sure there's a reason. You don't need to tell us, but that's what it's always been. There are the Reds. I think it's because the Reds are one of the oldest teams in the National League and traditionally they had like why the Lions always planned Thanksgiving. Usually the Lions always playing thanks to hold on, I shouldn't say usually, they always usually they play on Thanksgiving? Right? Was the last time that all Major League Baseball teams opened on the same right, Now, here's what I have to call I have to call call you out on something. Yes, you were trying to prep Elvis, the host of our show, right, the Big Show. You're like, Elvis, all the teams are playing, but just so you know, they're not all playing at home. You said that I wanted, Elvis, how is it possible that every team plays at home? Yeah, it's not possible. Well I know that, but I just they alone. I always go the step. I always go to step above step. You think Alvis would say every team is playing a home game today unless unless fifteen teams shared their stadium with the other fifteen teams, that would be impossible, and even then one of them wouldn't be the home team. I was going the extra mile direction, I over explained to Elvis. No, no, you wrongly explained. All right, whatever party, I'm not in the movie. It's a holiday. Today is my holiday, and I'm here and stop the sundown. Yet, so it's not my holiday. I gotta know, by the way, yeah, okay, go ahead, after this, I have to I have to mention this appearance because I get the jingle ready, I have the ginger ready. You know what, Screw it, I'm not going to mention the clients. I'm gonna tell you what I'm doing. The jingle has worked. They're sending me in the late afternoon hours today to a very When I say very, I mean Jewish uh neighborhood. It's agreed the Jewish Orthodox. By the way, which is you just slipped in Greek Orthodox? I said, I said Jewish, it's Hasidic. They're saiding and now the Hasidim. While while I'm sure they're great people, because I just don't think they listen. I do not think the majority of them listen to us. Okay, but here's the worst part. The worst part is there. They're sending me to this afternoon appearance on the first day of Passover at late in the day when it's also Schabis because sundown, they have to close their stores. They're not working. Most people get half days on Friday, that observed. So why am I going to a cellphone store in the middle of Borough Park Brooklyn, Brooklyn Boys, Brooklyn. I'll be there later this afternoon, probably when you're hearing this. I I just don't know. Sometimes I think people don't think things through when they make their have their planning meeting. But here's the thing. The business you're going to the phone store, they should know the neighborhood they're in. In fact, to be honest with you, if you're located in Borough Park, which is in my opinion growing up in Brooklyn and being a Jew, I can say this, it's like little Israel. Like if you have a China town in your town. This is like as religious and packed into one little areas you can get. There's all the Jews and then like one guy who's not but am attracting. At four o'clock in the most businesses, whether they're owned by Jews, Jews or not in that area will close out of respect. But on the first time to pass over, who's going and going to run and get us needs a cell phone? You're going to pick up your brisket? Yes, scary, that's right, right, yeah? And you would imagine they a good brisket cooks for a lot longer than if you picked it up today and it's not cooking in maza. Yes, I haven't had any room. I haven't had any I haven't had any manta this season at all. Well, the season hasn't started yet, so speaking speaking of protocol, I have to call bullshit on a caller from this morning on the Morning on the Big Show. What happened? They were? They called in and they were talking about driving to Disney World, right, driving from New York to Florida and corridor. Yeah, it's about about if you drive NonStop, it could be like nineteen hours, right whatever. So Elvis is like, oh, listen to us, and you know, keep busy and all the way down. And so the caller says, oh, uh, we're driving straight through and we're gonna stay a night in Savannah. Do you not know what driving straight through means? Driving straight through? Driving straight through means we're going without stopping all the way to Florida. I thought they when they said that on the air, I could have been Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought they said they were stopping over in Savannah for like, for like lunch, And to me, that's still driving straight through as long as you don't stay overnight. They said they were they were staying in Savannah, then death's not driving straight through, so just be careful with your words. I don't know if that falls under grammar police. But oh, speaking of grammar police, no, no, I'm gonna call some some grammar issues later in the podcast. Okay, I have a an epic. I'm very proud of this. I have a new song parody for the show, exclusive for the show, for our our show. Now we may eventually put it on the elvis, but but yeah, it made the content we use here leaks onto the big show. That's right, but we are world premiering it here. It is, it is. It is my song to attack another song. You'll hear that. So that's coming up. But I also want to give a shout out because listen, love all, serve all. You don't have to love us, but I want to. I want to. I want to make a comment to L P l O. Alright, that's not his Twitter handle, that's his name on Twitter. Now he tweeted at me. Now again, were talked about don't tweet at celebrities. We can talk about them. I'm not a celebrity. But the point is I found this to be a little hurtful, and he decided to tweet at me. It's not nice at David underscore, body at David underscore. Broody was listening to episode thirty two, Love the Parody song skit, which we played all the mumbling singers, but after the whole correcting scary all the time grinds my gears. So I rather listen to the an Acquired Taste podcast. Now, first of all, it's so I'd rather listen, so I'm gonna grammar police you as you complain about my grammar police. Second of all, if you don't like me correcting scary. First of all, that is the foundation of what we do here, that that's one of the things we do. We correct each other. We pick on each other, right, we busted each other's ball. As as as someone who tweeted at him said, that's like watching Gotham and complaining that the Riddler tells too many asks, too many riddles. Okay, you sign up for don't go to McDonald's and say you complain about you don't like people do in their entire day doing this. So you you sort of wrote to me but about me, and then slam me with another podcast. Listen if you don't like the podcast that's fine. If you don't like the podcast and you want to offer a correction, Hey, you know what, maybe could you do less to that? Or I think you're overdoing it, that's fine. But to write a write a tweet that basically says, hey guy, I'm talking about now, I'm gonna talk about you, but not to you, and then I'm gonna complain about what you do and then tell you that's why I listen to the the other podcast. You can listen to all the podcast listen to Inquired, Taste and Celebrity. It's not hurtful to say that you listen to other podcasts because too Now. I wrote him back, I had a nice and he wrote me back a nice a nice tweet saying hey, I appreciate you got back to me and whatever, And that's fine. I just if you don't like something, you can tweet at us, but then direct the tweet towards us like you're talking to us, and then don't say that's why I'm not listening anymore. I would like to say thank you, though, for trying to defend me. That's very very nice of him. It's thanks to having He wasn't defending you. He was complaining that he didn't like the fact that that's the bit we do. There's too much picking on you. For some reason, was correcting me, I don't scary Brody by the way. Okay, uh, should we get into the grammar police speaking of that, do you have some grammar police issues and we we always have grabbed. Let's let's hit the grama police, graba policema police police. By the way. I love that people are now tweeting at us saying that every time. Yeah, I don't turn it off. What's the matter, bro not turning off? Yeah, because we're in the bad studio. That's shut the freaking thing off. All right, Okay, see what I hate this studio. We didn't even talk about that. We're not in our normal studio and not in our normal configuration. It was stuck. I got down, all right, I got I think always running the board. I'm not the problem. No, you're not the problem. The problem is this Jenkis studio. It's wanted, haunted. I hate the students what you're saying. No, no, no, no, you you were talking. Okay, So, speaking of grammar police, we we we've gotten a ton of great signs with with grammatical errors in them. Keep sending us those. I think we're gonna use them when we do our live show one of these days. One of these days, all right, we're gonna use all your pictures that you're sending us. A bunch of people who love this podcast and we love you are tweeting and sliding into the old d m s and you're using the wrong your I'm not shouting you out in case you're doing it deliberately to get me to shout you out. But I feel like, if you listen, you've got to be a good sport about it. But a lot of people are like, hey, sorry for the grammar, don't attack me. So I love those people are good sports. But a lot of people are tweeting with the wrong yours and and the wrong there's, and I feel like we've warned you. Yeah, well, well, brody. Jessica Pereira writes um that she's a big fan of the show and all the podcasts, and she was scrolling through instant and noticed that in your first comment reply and I quote, but I love my dogs, and I my dogs, and I I don't think I wrote it dogs. You can't say love I What was the tweet I see he tried to make your replacement comment, so pretty much this was in Uh, this looks like it came from Instagram. Instagram. Yeah, yeah, you said something and I and it was wrong. No, I would have said my dogs and I something that would have been correct. No, no, unless I see a screenshot. I think she screenshot. What it is? Let me see responding to somebody on Instagram. Thanks for being good sport. If I had anything better to do tonight, I wouldn't be debating it. But I love my dogs and I Thanks for the kind words. Have a great week. I would never have said I love my dogs and I. It's right there in black and white. But what I'm saying is I wouldn't have said that. What would It doesn't make any sense. I love my dogs and I. I love my dogs and I David Brody at David Underscript broke, this is your account it came from? And did I write another another comment after that? Because I know what I did that was I love my dogs and I defend them. That was the part of a sentence. It doesn't I wouldn't have It's got cut off. Okay, Well, I voiced text when I drive, so that means I hit send and it didn't wrench to the last part. But I love my dogs, and I right, I love my dogs, and I stick up for them. I defend them because because Kathleen posted a picture of me with my two dogs and cropped the top dog out, so I said, I get a very defensive I love my dog, not ground all right, speaking of grammar, since we're talking about grammar police. Uh, dame boy, I think it's Dame boy d a y m boy. He tried to tell me, tried to tell me that I could care less. Is a sarcastic way of saying I couldn't care less, and I don't know. It's not. Yeah, when you're being sarcastic and you go I could care less, that means you don't care. No, it means you don't know how to speak. I'm sorry, And as I wrote back and said, no, I love you, but no, So no, you're not getting me on that. It's not a proper way to say it ever. Okay, somebody else have grammar police alert from Jody Grammy Joe on Twitter. My kids just moved into their first house and this was a notice sent to them. They were talking about recycling, and I was a three can minimum and they spelled it. M Oh, I saw that minimum m I N I M I N I am you n min minium minimum? How do you spell minimum? And you spell it how they spell it? Well, there's a three can minimum. Oh, minimimum, minimimum. They if you look at the word, it looks right. But if you if you dissect it, it's wrong. There's too many muh mus oh minimum minimumum minimum, it's minimum like small mum. Yeah. Yeah, they screwed that up. Anyway, that was a Grammar Police from that that went out to an entire building of people. That's embarrassing. Yeah, uh oh, here's one. The Empire is coming. This is honest. This is x Wing Flight Android game. I guess they're watching a prom The Empire is coming. They spelled at c O M M I n G coming. They add an extra M to the coming. That's pretty bad. Actually, that's a fail. Do you have any grand Police, Well, I still have the Grammar Police song based on something that we had someone to complain about last week. Another sign o the signs outside the McDonald's. Oh yeah, I read that one. Start your mooring with us sausage mcgriddle with us sausage mcgettle. Know that they left the n out morning. Looks like somebody somebody, somebody threw a rock at the end. So it says, start your mooring with us sausage mcgettle, giggle giggle. So there's but how do they By the way, is that embarrassing when you put up a sign on the side of the road and it's like, I mean, you gotta get it right there, you gotta get it right. That falls under you know, Okay, what what are you thinking? A mcgittle That sounds fun. I don't know, right, like I wrote her mcgiggle or mcgiggle that makes me giggle. Um. Also this other Oh they did it, they did the double. They did the a t M machine thing. Oh the sign on the door, sign on the door, grammar police. Here. This is from Mike Gregory on Twitter. What Mike thinks it was need cash a t M machine inside? Well, so, so a t M is an automatic teller machine machine inside they machined you. Well, I was listening to the Mets game and now is it the Mets game or the met game? Uh, it's a it's the game with the Mets playing, it says Mets on the jersey. It's a Mets game. But can of be a Met game? No, unless it's about one player. Yeah, but you know what it's anyway. So I'm listening to the Mets game and keith Anandez is talking about a player who was very ill at the time, and he says he's in the i c U Unit. Oh yeah, I don't have to remind I guess have to remind you. I see you stands for intensive care unit. Therefore you don't need to say unit afterwards. Okay, Oh what about europe Posed? You heard about euro Posed a sign on Melissa Rohane was there was a sign? Uh? I guess it was called the original store name was European Shoes. But the store went out of business and somebody put a four lease sign in the middle of the sign and they blocked out the A, N and the S for European Shoes. They put it right in the middle, so it just says europe Pose. So this is a story that's for europe Pose. I get that could be grammar police. Uh, you know what, we it's still a great sign. I love it. Yeah, show us great signs. Great signs, So thank you. By the way. A lot of times I'll tweet these people back. There are listeners who send us to signs and I'll say, oh, where did you find this? Did you like Google image? Bad signs and go No, I took it. So what we'd like if you could do going forward is not only take it, but see if you can get a selfie with you in the picture. That'll be so this way we know it's you, and if we do a live event, we'll put your picture up with the sign. Yeah. I like that. And then this one is more of a visual, but it's uh, it's it's on Newman Springs Road in New Jersey. Newman. Oh, that reminds me. God, I got a story it was. It was just a left hand, right hand turning lane thing. You have to see it to believe it and understand. It's the most confusing sign ever. It's traffic directions. I saw that. I don't even know what the hell that. It says no, no, no turns right, and then it says no right turn and then it says yeah. Now a bunch of people try to explain it, but I'm calling bullshit on the explanations are yeah, It's just even if that's what the explanation is supposed to be, it doesn't make it. They're like, oh, that's only for the right lane. No, the sign says no turns. Right. Yeah, no turns means no turns. It doesn't mean no turns, but you can make a right turn. By the way, Chris C. Matt wrote to us, and this is not a ground police thing, but this is this comes from the how stupid can you be? Department? They were watching family feud and I guess the father had gotten a hundred eighty two points in fast money. I know on the on the final round. Yeah, you gotta get two hundred point two hundred points to win, but you've got two people to do it. The father did the first round, and then the door did the second round, same questions. The father scored a hundred eighty two points on his own. All they needed was what is it really eight points? Eighteen? By the way, how long does it take to go from you just went? So she had she had answered five questions and get in a total of eighteen questions. When you're playing fast money, you know that you get questions. Now. The only thing we don't know we don't know if she duplicated answers or not. She's scoring all zero zeros. She didna get one point. I'm sorry she owes the family the ten thousand dollars or whatever it would have been. Anyway, Chris said it was painful to watch. And then finally my favorite, I guess this is from Target. Uh they were somebody was shopping in Target and they had a bunch of bananas. They had like, you know, a banana display and they were twenty nine cents and um, it says the signs of twenty nine cents bananas by the each. Yeah, that's not right. So it's either twenty nine either bananas by the bunch or twenty nine cents each. Probably you meant nine cents each, but they wrote bananas by the each, thank you professional sign and make her God, how do people get jobs and keep them? That's a great question. I mean, not one employee in that giant store could have corrected that. It's embarrassing. By the way, we got a present and I didn't. I didn't unveil it at the beginning of the show. Why not, like because I forgot now when this person was here, very big celebrity on our show. I thought, before he runs out, I'll get him to record an I D for our show. And so I quickly quickly handwrote, Hey, this is Blah blah blah and you're listening to the Brooklyn Boys. But I didn't have a chance to, in my awful handwriting to write hashtag brody and scary, which would have been funny because he is in such a hurry. Okay, Mr post for pictures, so we would say scary and brody. So we got a great I D. Legendary performer who we both love. So here it is, Hey, this is Jim found here listening to the Brooklyn Boys. Right, he was like running out the door. That's how fast he says it. Hey, this is Jim found here listening to the Brooklyn Boys. That's as you, Hey, this is Jim found you're listening to the Brooklyn Bulls. Sounds like you were changing him down the hall with the microphone and getting this is Jim found You're listening to the Brooklyn Boys. But he didn't say his name. He said, Hey, this is Jim found here listening to the Brooklyn Boys. Get away from It's like I'll throw your boy. So we love you. But I didn't get a chance to bridiant scary, but you did with somebody else. Oh I did. Yes, absolutely, we'll have that next week. We don't have that this week. She's a big star and uh and she uh and you screwed me? Oh I did. Speaking of getting screwed, I've complained about this before, but I'm gonna complain about it again. Oh but before I complain about it, you know what, I just want to make sure I have somebody's Twitter handles. I'm gonna tell you about a guy too complained about my complaints. So I'm watching I'm watching the news because I'm I'm I'm doing my my comedy job, my other job where I write song parodies, and I have to I have to be up on the news, So I'm flipping back and forth between the news networks. And it's around eight o'clock, so the TV still on, but I'm pretty much done writing. I made dinner or whatever that my kids aren't home yet, and MSNBC is on. That was the channel happened to be on when I was uh in the kitchen and Chris Hayes is the host of the eight o'clock hour and MSNBC at Chris L. Hayes. By the way, also in the name of his show is uh all in with Chris Hayes. So all in with Chris is their social media account for the show. And I hear we've got David Rody on the show. Now. I've talked about this because you know, is the ultra conservative guy who writes evangelical Christian who's who writes Donald Trump books, and a lot of times people tag our David Browne in the think they got the wrong Twitter handle. Now what happens sometimes is people see him and respond to you on a on a non conservative network and they don't like what he has to say, and they're like, oh, I'm gonna tweet at this son of a bit. And they tweeted me again because I'm verified and I used David underscore Brody. So I see him, I go, oh, I'm gonna get I'm gonna get a I'm probably gonna a dozen hate tweets, right Okay, My mom calls me, she says to you, Mama Brodie. David Brodie says, I, I'm sorry I named you David. I'm apologizing now. But David Brody's on MSNBC right now, you're gonna get hate tweets? I said, mom, Oh god, I know, I know, but listen, I gotta go pick my daughter up. I'll talk to you later. So I drive, I go pick my daughter up. She's late. So I'm sitting in the call. I'm like, oh, let me check Twitter while I'm waiting for my daughter. A hundred and eighties six hate tweets of I'm sitting there right, and I'm gonna, oh, no, what are you gonna? So? I say, so, I go why why are a hundred eighty six people tweeting the wrong person? Now? The last time this happened this many hate tweets? Joy Read from MSNBC tweeted at me and said I was the other guy. Well, guess what all in with? Chris Hayes tweeted at me, I have David Underscore broody on my shows. You ever end with you? Hold on? So I'm getting so I started tweeting at at him, saying, stop it, delete that tweet. Oh vileness, vileness. And then every fifteen or twenty tweets one of our listeners laughing their ass off that I'm getting ripped again, right okay, and say, oh my god, I feel so bad. So I'm I'm tweeting is as often as I can. Please take tan you tweet, Please take tank you twet, please take thank you tweets. So then i'm it's blowing up, blowing up for hours. So I asked, I tweeted our listeners, and I said, can you please tweet these two accounts and maybe they'll if we all tweet them, they'll they'll delete it. So I want to thank the group effort. Yeah, I'm not gonna give out your twitters. I can't possibly read all of these, but I want to thank Mia, joe An Topel, Ryan Leederer, Tina Tara, Kelly, Ashley sarat hold On I got more here. Um, this is like me doing the birthday list. I know Corey T who we love Corey T. Savannah Richardson, Carla it's Carla Lamb four. We've quoted a lot, viv Juan Vasquez who tweets us all the time, okay, Jay, Tony Corni, Randy, Michelle Sabo who by the way, tweeted me and Jim Brewer, and Brewer wrote back to both of us, so I love that, and a special special shout out to uh Kara. I want to get her Twitter because there's a reason for this. Why I'm gonna read hers because everybody really contributed, but um Cara v tweeted. I would say about forty different people that they tweeted the wrong people. It takes a village, people, It takes a village. While while I'm tweeting, I would like to shout out um j R flam Okay, I'm not gonna give his Twitter, but he's j R flam Um. And he wrote to me at David and Scope Brody, it doesn't have to be your name. You know you can change your name. So so you're complaining it again. Why don't you just change your name? Is what he wrote? Something fake, well like not my name, like squirrel thirty, like you know, like not me. So I'm like, hey, man, it's my brand. Like I'm David Brody. I'm allowed to have my name. I'm not the problem. Don't victim blame. Oh god, you know, did you get into a Twitter war with this dude? I did not. He tweeted me back once or twice. Now I want to send a shout out to Lauren Graham. Yeah, Lauren Graham, who lives in Australia. Two days ago, Laura Ingram, who spells it Ingraham right, she has having a Twitter beef for one of the students from Marjorie Storman Douglas High School. So people who were mad at Laura Ingram Ingram, who spells at Ingraham on Fox News attacked the way I get attacked. Lauren Ingram a teenage girl in in uh, Australia, and she's savage. She's having the same issue that. So you gotta look who you're tweeting. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Can I say that one person on Twitter that made me laugh the most this week was gladys At not my best work I got. I gotta you let made me laugh so hard with this one. Um, I guess this actually falls under grammar police, but it's did you see the person who was Um? I guess that it was a page day calendar and it was dinners. This was dinners that were offered on something, and it was spaghetti and meat Paul's egg Plant Palm with spaghetti velo spaghetti and sausage and spaghetti. Every time spaghetti was written it was it was spelled differently spaghetti s P A G H E T T I, which is correct. Spaghetti s p A g e t t I. Then the next time was written as s p E g h e t t I, and then sp e A g h e t t I. Very funny. I just thought it was a really very funny post. Thank you so much. I laughed. I chuckled on that one. Okay, do we want to do the grammar song? We got unusual because let's finish off this segment with the grammar song. Okay. So I've had an issue with a hit song that we play on all of our shows around the country. It's a top forty song and it's grammatically incorrect. Okay, the title is grammatically incorrect. I will in a second. Someone emailed about it and said, hey, have you noticed it's grammatically incorrect. I've been tweeted that must drive you crazy. It's grammatically incorrect. Right, our friend Gandhi, who was on a couple episodes ago. Alright, so this I'm gonna reference her in a second. The song, of course, is him and him and I. It's g Easy featuring Holly, his girlfriend. Right, the song should be him and me, not him and I, of course. Okay, Um Gandhi interviewed ge Easy Gandhi from Boston. Gandi from Boston. Our friend who was visiting in town, and she asked, you easy, why did you write the song? It's grammatically incorrect and he went, that's what we liked, and he said, didn't seem thrilled with the question. Really Yeah, he was like, like she was trying to do, is get to the bottom of it? Yeah, why not just go with him and me? And it's correctly. So he didn't have an answer for he. I bet you that was the first time somebody confronted it, confronted him, and it probably the first time he's realizing that it was even wrong to begin with, right, And he was sort of like, hey, it's creative license and it's but it's wrong. Yeah, and it's not like you need another syllables him and me. So I have fixed the problem. Go for enjoy. This is for g Eazy and it's also for Halzy. I hate to be grammar police. In English, it's him and me the way its song drives me crazy, not him and I. It's him and me to sing this song properly in English, it's him and me, he me in risk. It's so there you go. I fixed the song I love that you're gonna submit that submit Elvis, I submit to Alvis. I're gonna submit to Halsey. I probably should. By the way, the fact that I changed it to him and me and it rhymes with g easy and Halsey, it was meant to be written it. Really, it was meant to be. It was meant to be him and me sat old rhymes. I like that. By the way, problem solved. You get to wipe our hands of it and still a hit. Yeah. I had a great time yesterday, did you. I did. We went to the Mets Opening Day. We're talking earlier about our jerseys, but then we got to the actual stadium. But before that we went to uh, I don't want you to hit the jingle. I don't even want to hear the jingle. We went to a bar to have the indoor tailgate. Yep, a bar. The boss is in city Field. You have to mention this city Field bar with like eight people. Anyway, we met a lot of fun listeners. Thank you so much. We didn't realize how many people, can you know, listen to this podcast as a companion to the Elvis de Ram Big Show. Because usually if somebody approaches and say hey, I love you guys on the show. It's because it's yeah, it's part of Elvis's show. It's I love what you do. I love the phone taps, I love that kind of stuff. But more and more we've been hearing people say, oh, I love your you love your podcast, and they started stuff out. They called us the Brooklyn Boys. Oh my god, the Brooklyn Boys. So Brodie looks down and he sees this. I guess it's in my DJ promotional card with my picture on it that says Scary Jones. And you're like, huh, maybe we should have a Brooklyn Boys card, right, I have a David Brody jock card also, yeah, but right, so so, but we don't have one together. We're not going together and we don't. And we think we were given out with the Z one hundred T shirts and water bottles. What if, when ever I showed up to an appearance, or if you did an appearance, Brody boom, we could like we have Brooklyn Boy swag right now, nobody's hiring me to show up. But yeah, no, eventually, I don't understand why that's the case. I don't know. I don't get swagger, which we both have by the way, we do have broke like us, swagger like us. Speaking of that event, so they gave it was your event. I was just there because I got you to the game and I was hanging out. And that's the one that's the one day a year I see Brodie drink a beer, right, well, because it's the event is sponsored by a beer company, and so what's the matter and and you never drink beer whatever except for this event. And I'm like, wow, I'll tell you what. Let's let's pull back the car ahead. You are booked to appear there. You get paid a nice fee, which you should. You work very hard, and I'm okay with bud and drinking, and yes, you do, right, And I guess I prefer listen. I prefer Voka soda. But if we're doing a beer night, okay, it's irrelevant to this conversation. But no, I'm what I'm going is you get paid to be there. I do not. I go, and because I want to represent my station in my morning show, I go and I hang out. And when you make an announcement that I'm here, it's great. And if people come up and want autographs of pictures, absolutely I'm here for the people. Hashtag for the people. But if I'm not getting paid, I gotta get something, right, So I take a free beer? Is my payment? Yeah, in your entitled I'm not wanting the beer. I want the free beer. Okay. So I milked the beer for the two hours we were there. It's one beer, and it's it's not bad beer. I just don't drink beer usually, Okay, that's why I drink the beer. It's then I'm paying me. But I love it. I love It's the annual Brody beer. All right. So one of the things that you do it at a promotion, especially in a bar. By the way, I'm looking into the next two. Ronnie's got from Donna Bella. He's got that's not a sponsor, that's from Donna Bella. They brought a thin pie. I bet you Jake bought it, you son of a bitch. He's he's eating it slowly now he has a square Grandma slice Annabella. Yep, he sees me through the glass. He's more go get some where's more get? Okay, then we gotta eat pizza on the air. People hate No, let's not do that jingle. I gotta get that. So okay, so explain boy in a second. You're in the middle of the story. That's okay. We love getting sidetracked. Mesafonia is when um people make sounds of eating or whatever it is, or like if that drove you crazy. Right there, you have me safonia. But I'm not just talking about driving you crazy. Literally makes you sit and nauseous. That is an actual disease, and some people it hurts their ears, called misoponia. Man, I got the next time we eat on the air, we gotta plays. By the way, there's gonna be many times in the future where we're gonna eat on the air. Oh. Also, I'm working on two more listening order jingles and I have a It's gonna take me a couple of weeks because I gotta get the singer I want. Working on a new Brooklyn Boys intro song. Good I'm in for that. It might be a little country country song. You're a little bit of country, yeah, a little bit rock and roll. Con one of the things, one of the things we do. One of the things we do well you do, it's your appearance. They give us hats met hats with a logo of the beer company and T shirts and met shirts right to throw out to the crowd. So you're like, who wants a shirt? Baby? You're throwing that and people are jumping and waving. And when you go to a bar event or any event where people want free shirts, you're hearing this now, going oh should I do that? You don't even know what the shirt is. You don't know what's on the shirt. You just want that damn shirt. You will kill a man next to you to get that shirt. All you see is somebody opening up a box, ripping open and thrip flinging objection to the air, and you want to catch you right. Sometimes you're like, oh, I want that shirt, and when you get it, it's like puke mobile. It's like it's like a phone. You're like, I would never wear this shirt, but you just killed your best friend. Of that, you can get people. You if you want to give, get people excited, throw something into the crowd. It doesn't matter what it is. So Scary is open up boxes. He's throwing left handed, like he does you know, and the DJ is throwing shirts and scares party. Help me throw stuff. So I I go behind the DJ booth and I grabbed some hats and I'm flinging them, and I'm throwing these shirts and bags. I'm hats were there and right, and then there were white shirts. I don't even know what they said, right, it doesn't matter. And I'm throwing like leftover met shirts. Whatever they had was good stuff. People wanted to Met shirts, but they didn't know it was in the bag anyway. That's that's what we did. A couple of months later, his drunk I comes up to me and he goes, oh man, I just gotta tell you, dude, I love you, so, I said, figuring he's fan of the Big Show. He goes, you are so dirty. You are so dirty. I love you, so, I said dirty. Well, you mean like my phone taps are on the podcast? What do you mean? Here's what I said. Where am I dirty on the podcast or on the Big Show? No, man, I know what you're talking about. I love it that you were stealing all those shirts and hats from behind the DJ booth. Man, you're dirty. So he thought I was like sneaky, stealing stuff when you weren't looking. He was so drunk he thought I was taking the shirts and hats and stead and I didn't see me throwing them. Oh man, so he didn't listen to the podcast, doesn't know our show at all. He's probably just waking up now from his hangover. Yeah, so he the guy loves me for being dirty. So I'm thinking, like I cursed on the podcast, but reason I love ban got there. But we got there at eleven in the morning and were already drunk. You mean they had to have gotten there at eight. Who gets there? Who drinks at eight o'clock? I want to know the people that listen to this podcast. Any of you guys go to bars before work at seven eight o'clock in the more before you go to your job, because I do know that there are people who do that. I'd love to know, right, I mean we we actually had a bartender here last week. I said, what time you get to work? She was seven am? And I'm like, oh, it's like seven am waking up is in a full service restaurant. She goes, no, I work behind the bar. I'm like, so you board at seven o'clock in the morning. She goes, oh, no, there's a line of people waiting for us to open our doors at seven. There are people that show up in suits ready to go to work at nine am and they have a bunch of drinks and they get hammered at the Bark's morning drink. That's illegal in most states. You can't serve liquor that earlier. Who's drinking at that hour in the morning. We do, And I say we, I mean the Ela straight in morning show. I'm not the like Uncle Johnny made drinks this morning. You guys were you guys were drinking some kind of cocktail. I'm talking about people who regularly go to I understand seven in the morning. Well, the thing is, we drink during work. These people are drinking and going to real jobs with suits. That's what I'm saying. They must have high, high stress jobs. You gotta you gotta take the the edge off. Yea. Anyway, Um, we have some unused jokes. I do have unused jokes. We can we can do that next if you want. I love this gone all right, hold on a second. He ho are you doing over there on that side of the board. All right, Yeah, I just I hate this place, the specific studio. I hate this studio. Why do you hate it? Um? Because it's not it's not user friendly. This was our studio for the morning. He was Notice, why do you think we bolted because it's because it was wasn't shaped like a penis like the new studio. The boss wanted to penis. Still okay, I don't us it's unused punch lines. These are things that Brody mostly gives to the people on the show for jokes and to use on the show, and then sometimes they get kicked back in his face. No, they just didn't get you. They didn't get used. So we decided to redo them and recreate them here on this podcast. I have them here on the original original paper I wrote them. I have none. I was not funny this week. I was unplugged and disconnected. Can I talk about one more thing? That the Met game? Yeah, well, we'll have the music on the back on the fine. So we went to the Met game and we have we have media passes, and that means we can go to certain levels of the stadium. We can go into clubhouse, the broadcast level. We can go on the field, which we have. We've done interviews on the field, we've taken pictures with the players. During the World Series, we were on the field. But we can't take advantage of it. There's certain things you can't do and we don't know, we never take advantage of that. But when you first get there, you take the elevator to a certain special level, and that level has a really nice restaurant. The food is fantastic at City Field, right, um, not a sponsor, and it's a there's a there's a bar. It's like a club level, right, and that's where you can then go to different levels from that level. If you have the access that we have. You can't get the seats with it, but you can have this this lounge area before the game. However, that level is the level to the really nice sweets, the ones that you pay like a hundred thousand dollars for for the season. You gotta have money, so rich people and companies have the big sweets Sweet number one. The first suite right by first base, that's your Jerry signed else suit. He owns it years or something right for he's got it's his suite. It's the Jerry Seinfeld permanently big Mets fan. And he brings Larry David to the game. Sometimes he brings his friends are the comic friends, his family, but he's there a lot. But he's absolutely going to be there an opening day of course, and if you're in a regular seat in the area, you can see him in the box. The Sweet sort of juts out into the main seats. It's like a little bit higher, but you can see, hey, Jerry, what's going on. But on the inside, concourse, in the back section there, there's a bunch of couches there. And so Jerry or anyone else has to walk through that restaurant marble floors, nice and and this, and he usually walks with with the whoever he's got going in with, and there's usually a bodyguard behind him to make sure no one really bothers right now, so he had to walk by. So we were sitting in in four chairs that all faced each other like a plus sign. Right. Scary was in the chair facing the walkway that a celebrity like Jerry would have to walk by right, and I was in the in the seat to his left. So if on a clock, Scaries at three o'clock facing the walk away, I'm at six o'clock on the right where the walkways to my left. Friend she was at nine o'clock and Jerry Sweet is at twelve o'clock, so he's got to walk behind nine o'clock. So we were standing by the bar earlier, and I said, is that Jerry? And he's like, what what? I know it was? It was a guy in a baseball hat. I thought it was Jerry. Wasn't Jerry. So we go and we sit down and Scaries on his phone. He's tweeting and texting and his snapchat business and business business. So I look, I'm looking around while Scary's ignoring me, and yeah, because he's in his own social media world. And uh, the game was about to start. We hadn't gone to our seats yet. We're eaten up some Nathan's French Fries. Not a sponsor, No, not non, none of them. By the way, Nathan's Fries crinkle cut. Here's a warning from a professional Nathan's fried eater from way back. No matter how cool to the touch the outside may seem, the inside is burning hot. Ways the Nathan's the waffle Fry, the crinkle fries, crinkle fries to like little Zigzaggs crinkle fries. There's a lot of potato in between those skins, right, and so the outside cools off because it's exposed to air, but the insides like lava. Don't make that mistake of going oh, this isn't hot. Always break it open and check the inside first. I figured out why you like those more than any any other with letter K because it's because of the catch up, right, because you can get more catch. The ridges of the crinkle cut holds so much more catch, so much more catch up. So there you go. So you've got a mouthful of catcht in heaven. But the French fry is a vehicle to deliver the catch. So we were eating fries and I was on my fall. So I looked to my left as Danielle uh delilo, who's on our show? She sounds like yelling Danielle. People know that she's been on our podcast. Jerry Seinfeld, a friend, and his giant bodyguard are walking directly behind nine o'clock Danielle. So I go, so as they're coming, I've got about four seconds. Scary, there's Jerry. Scary cheruphone church of phone, cherry phone phone phone doesn't look up, so he walks back, Hey Jerry, and he turns and gives me the nod, and Danielle sees him and he walks into his sweet Then you look up and go, I'm sorry, what Yeah? I blew it blew the moment. Then then like five minutes later, you're back on your phone. He walks out to go to the men's room. I go, scary, Jerry, what you missed him again? You missed him twice? I missed him twice. Yeah, because you know what, at this point, he's wallpaper. I don't need to see him. You are, It doesn't matter. You know how many times I've walked past him A right, I tried to get a picture with him that one time. Tells you. By the way, you got optoned by Jerry side fo the original opton By the way, we talked about this on the podcast on The Big Show, you talked about it. Yeah, the story as I was at a charity event for Jerry Seinfeld's wife, and she didn't need money raised for her. She was holding the event. There wasn't a raising money. She's got a charity event for for whatever. Don't even promote it. You didn't get a picture, go on. Yeah, So Jerry was there and he was talking to Steve Martin, and and they were talking for a while. Steve Martin one of the most legendary, even more legendary than Jerry Seinfeld, if that's possible, And one of the guys from I guess it was I guess the people that the Getty images, the people who confessional photographer look a properazzi guy. But you know, he was with me and he was following me around, so I said, hey, man's sure he was. He knows me. It wasn't following around taking a picture. We were just talking. We're eating raving drinks, and I said, dude, I said, I would love to get that picture. He was, Dude, you can get a picture between two of them. That would be gold. Come on, scary, you can go for it. So I waited for my chance to interrupt their conversation Jerry Seinfeld Steve marsh and I'm like, hey, hey, guys, um, I just want to say you know, I'm a big fan, and um, I love I love your work. I was. I was looking at both of them. I said, um, could I get a picture? And Steve Martin like smirked and was almost going to entertain the idea like he was. But Jerry does what Jerry does, and he's like, oh, you've gotten nerves. Huh, who are you, Kesha? What are you doing? You're just gonna walk up. He goes this guy's got balls, because he as if to say, how dare I? Who are these people who go up and take a common man at this party from my wife? Interrupt a conversation with Steve Martin. No less, I'm talking to Steve Martin. I'm you know, it was like almost like a list talking to a list, and I'm some fucking this conversation list fucking walking up trying to get in down the you know, take a picture. And you got up and Jerry said, you know what, um, I'd rather not. And then and Steve looked at him and he's like, we could do this. This would be great, you know, make this kid's life. You know, this would be great, you know because it would be awesome. And Steve, are you sure? Steve wasn't saying that Jerry with his eyes thanks for doing it. Were gone out there, We're gonna take the picture. But then Jerry was like, it'd rather not. Now? Is this because you think because you have so many followers on on social media like your kid up an excuse? I don't know what. I don't know what it was, but all I could say is get the picture. You didn't get the picture, but I had the experience of talking to them for about two minutes. Did you say, hey, Jerry, I just gave a thousand dollars your wife's charity. Can I get a picture? Oh? Maybe I should have opened with that. That should have been your opening line, even if it wasn't true. How's he gonna know? Ron Darling was there too, would have taken a picture. But anyway, Yeah, so that was the Jerry So yeah, so I missed Jerry signed. But so though now he's just kind of whatever to me. So you you're you're claiming you deliberately blew off Jerry Seinfeld. Not I don't care. I'll stare. It's more important to check out listener email than it was for me to worry about Jerry Seinfeld walking by me? Why so he could ignore me? Do I? He ignored you? What you could yelled his name? I said hello Jerry, professionally Jerry, and he turned anyway. He nodded, yeah, but he wasn't gonna stay. He didn't because if he says to him, break stride though, okay, looked back at you. He literally yeah, he doesn't know that I'm the host of the Brooklyn Boys podcast. Otherwise you would have said something. But but that's what I'm saying. What satisfaction do you get out of even say so? Part of me was thinking do I want to say hello Jerry like on the show, And I thought like, I'm not doing that, so I just want hello Jerry, like respectfully met fan and met fan with that. The guys at the next set of four chairs was like, did you see Jerry Seinfeld? And the guy goes, yeah, he goes, you should have said Jerry, and I was like, oh, I'm so glad I didn't because those guys would have done it. Yeah, Like what was I met a listener named Rosanna and oh, here comes an old reference. Right, here comes the old and make the Toto reference. I didn't do it. I said, hit four three two. There's a song called Rosanna by Toto, and you know they wrote that song about I did know that it was a piece of trivia Rosanna arquette. Okay, So when I met the listener, I said, I said, instead of started singing Rosan Rosanna that everybody does, I said to her, Oh, I'm Mike, Nice to meet you, I said. I said, um, so, let me guess you own the song Rosanna by Toto And it like I automatically jumped to the part where it's just it's bad no, but it's just say hi, Roseanne. Leave it at that, Rosanna, Hi, Rosanna? What's Rosanna? What's wrong with that? At least the same thing. I'm tipping my cap to knowing the pain that she's going to. We're trying to get credit for not singing the song, but you still want credit for knowing the song and make in the reference. And and this way she got because you're hoping she'd go, oh, that's so nice. She didn't sing this song. He's still referencing this song that she freaking hates hates it. But the fact that I took it a step further, and I know that her days are and nights her endless with this song in her head. So you could have been the first person just go hey, Rosanna. You didn't want her to think you didn't know the song. That's correct, right, So it was about you again. I didn't want you were worried about how she thought of you. You didn't care how she felt. You didn't go up there and say I don't want to hurt her feelings by singing it. You were like, how can I get away? With not singing it but still get credit for knowing it. I wanted to I wanted her to, don't. I wanted her to know that I knew that millions of people. Of course she knows. You know, everybody knows that song. Everyone does it to her. She doesn't. Oh, please anybody who has a song with a name? You think there's not a girl named Havana that isn't here in that song all the time. Yeah, Jesse's girl, Like I'm a girl. I don't have a I don't have a girlfriend. Stop it, like everyone name everybody with a name, like my wife. My wife's name is a song and she freaking hates that song. Hates it, So you want to hear it? How about Michelle by the Beatles or or my Michelle by Guns n Roses. Nobody wants to hear Everyone thinks they're the first ones to say it. So you wanted to play it like, I just want you to know. I'm I know I'm not the first one, but I just want you to know. I know the song you product endorsed yourself. You're like, Oh, I'm gonna let her know how cool I am. You should want to do it like that. Here's what I want you to do. If your name is a song, I want you to tweet us stop it. I want you to tweet at Scary Jones, at David Underscore Brody, at the Brooklyn Boys WT, tweet the three handles and let us know what name you have, what song? And is no no? Is it any better to say? I know you hate that song, but right right, because it's not, it's no better. It is better. Come on, at least at least you're you're kind of in on the joke with them. You're in on the joke. A second, people go, do you know there's the right Wind conservative evangelical host on TV named David Brod Yes, Yes, I know it. Yes, Oh you know what next weekend? I don't want to get angry right next week. I don't want to forget it's intern resume time. Oh so over the next couple episodes of All the Resident I'll just tell you right now, one person said on Open Up the Email Today, the the cover letter said, I really want to work for Elvin Duran Elvin Homie. The end is nowhere near the S. If you had said Elvid, I go all right, the S and the D right there, I get it. The end is the other hand right, it isn't even says is on the left and is in the middle, but you use your right hand normally. Elvin, you're out. I've already gotten four aparts being the wrong. Apart apart is one word. You're out. More grammar. God, it's the amur. I want the best of the best and all over the country. All right, no more grammar, please talk? All right, here we go after the we Oh and by the way, speaking of tenour hold on a second, hold on. I'm not promoting the podcast, but I'm gonna say a member of our show. You guys saw it on Twitter, you know, on their new podcast, said the Brooklyn Boys podcast is like two hours. All I do is screaming, yell. That's it. I am time for that. Our podcast is going to be tight forty minutes boom, done, bump. So I said, oh, really, hey, Brooklyn Boys fans, let that person know if our podcasts are too long or not. So thank you to everyone that tweeted at them and said of the length of our podcast. I never used to be a fan of long podcasts and Janet podcasts in general, but I've come to like and learn and love them because I know I understand how people use them in their lives. And everybody tweeted him and said, you know, Brooklyn Boys could be longer. They don't care. They listen to it multiple times, so thank you for that. Now that being said, we still love that person, love their podcast. But as as punishment, I'm not going to promote their podcast on this episode. On this episode. But because I like the people on the podcast, I just want to you know what, you like the other two people I like, I like them all but but but but okay, but now here's the thing. Your punishment is, I'm not promoting you today. Okay. Now, a bunch of people broke the other. We have two cardinal rules right on on social media, check your grammar and don't tweet at people that you're talking about so that they see what we're talking about. And we keep but people keep doing it. Yeah, Elvis this morning, don't yes, don't tweet and say a brody uh fuck at blah blah blah. Because I love you guys, but no, I don't want you to curse them. And I say you don't you to curse at them. Now I'm attached to that tweet, right, yeah, stop doing that, please, I beg you. It's like dragging you into a schoolyard brawl. Right, It's like, oh, oh did you see blah blah blahlah. But don't tweet at them. You want to you want to put the ad symbol a space and then their handle, so I know what their handle is, but they don't see it. That'd be great, Okay. I think it's a woman in a bar getting into a fight with a guy, and you know, I'm saying, oh, you know what, my boyfriend will take care of you, and then she steps out, right, I don't don't. Don't you stand stand there and by the people are walking by the studio sons a bit with the pizza. They got more pizza. Shan Mendez was here. I'm dribbling. Shan Mendez was here. It's not a basketball either. No, I think I have too shown Mendez unused jokes. Let me get them both here. Here we go. Sean Mendez has a new tattoo. He has a bird on his hand, new tattoo. So I sent out to my jokes. Elvis was, oh, a bird on your hand, that's worth like two in the bush. He didn't get to that. By the way, thank you. This is a double on thank you. So Elvis says to him, what's the story about, why would you put a bird in your hand? I gotta be honest. I wasn't a fan of his tattoo. He's got one on his forearm. That's a guitar, right, But the guitar is actually like a lake and the trees. It's it's really well thought out. The bird, I was like it, look it sort of looks like he's got something on his hand, like when you see you go, hey man, you guys like you got some ink on your hand. It's not in a good spot if I feel like it's ruining the flow of your hand, you know what I mean, Like the forearm. It's sort of fits in the forearm and get it. This hand one looked like someone took a stamper and said you could you could go in the bar now on his finger. No, it's on like um, the back of his hand between his thumb, like the back right. Okay, it looks like they went, oh, you wanted to go into go club, bird, We're gonna stamp your hand with the bird. You can go in the club now. I just didn't like the placement. So Elvis says, what's with the bird? What's the story there? Act like that? He says, Oh, there's a story about that, he says, and I liked a story behind it. He said, it's a it's a swallow. So Elvis goes, you have swallow on your hand. It was swallow. Everyone's making swallow references, right, he says, No, Back in the old days, sailors would get a swallow as good luck and take the birds swallow on their voyages. And he said, so something about growing up in a near lake, I don't know, ocean something to do with it. He liked the story, so I said, so you're saying all the seamen got swallows. Always didn't want to do the joke, which is super clever, right. Uh. We were talking on the great's topic train one of the topics that I came up with, because all of Greg's topics were terrible, so I gave Elvis's they weren't terrible. Elvis that they were terrible. So I was giving Elvis other topics that would be terrible to call in. So one of them was, hey, my sad exploded on me. Call Now that was just stupid thing. So a girl calls up, just oh my god. It was in church and the sad exploded and it went all over the Bible. So I said, you know, you've what's the third biggest coke coke brand of Cola r R C cold. So I said, oh, was it j C cola Little Jesus Christ reference Good Friday? Everybody here? All right? Oh h Scary was talking all we're talking about everyone wants to write a book. We'll have a book on us where we write a book and what will we call it? Everybody knows what my book is going to be called, even it's not even free Dessert. And I have a couple of the books I want to write, but that's gonna be my first one. So you were like, I think I write a book. I said that, and I so I said, yeah, that the titles should be velvet dope because you're you kind of you know, because you always want to get bind the velvet rope and you're funny. And you didn't like that one. No, I don't. I didn't find that funny. I'm happy he didn't use that joke. Elvidys was talking about more excited that he passed on Elvison Danielle were talking about Christina Aguilera and how she has a new picture up and no makeup and how great she looks, but that when she was doing Genie in a Bottle, Genie in the Bottle, she had a lot of makeup, blue eyeliner, and like a point star from the eighties. She was trying to do the Aladdin, right, so I said, So the joke was, oh, she was Genie with a bottle of makeup. He didn't get that. Uh, this one we were talking, Oh head, Jersey Mike's up here. Jersey Mike's fantastic sandwich chain. They're all over the country. They may not be in your town, but they're everywhere you go in. They make it fresh, really good. I'm not a sponsor of mine, but I think a really good sandwich A lot of options, and they brought up they gave a lot of money to make a Wish foundation. That was part of why they were here. In a related story, one of the sandwiches had mayo on them, and Elvis said to Danielle, if you eat mayo, will doing another five thousand dollars to the charity. So she tried the mayo and she threw up. So my joke was, oh my god, Danielle just jersey ralphed, so I took my right ralph ralph, which is a slang for vomiting. He didn't get to that. We were talking about Beyonce getting bit on the cheek. That was a big story this week, so like, nobody knows who did it. I said, maybe it was Becky with the good teeth. I didn't get to that one clever pop culture reference. So then Elvis says, so where I don't understand where where was she bitten? Where on her face was she bitten? And I said the bite was to the left, to the left. He didn't get today. Uh that jokes on my stand up. Okay, we were talking about a woman who I was a story, a woman married a tree, and we played sound of the newscasters trying to make tree puns, and Elvis interrupted the clipper. He's like, I don't want to get too sappy here and make a lot of tree puns. Let's just end it. Here was a lot of puns. So I wrote him one more pun and I said, oh, there it was gonna be that we get wet in Holy Matt tree money hit didn't do it, and I wrote, and I wrote, and he can use um. Her husband turned over a new leaf. That's right, he didn't use that one, okay, which is also by the way, I don't like writing jokes half the time because it's like, you know what, half of he's gonna get rejected. Most of them can get rejected, all right. So Nate was talking about Nate, one of the other producers on our show. He was talking about how he still uses hotmail. Now you know, Nate's kind of full of himself, looks in the mirror a lot, likes to pose. He knows he's attractive, he acts like it. I said, Nate doesn't use hotmail. Nate uses I think I'm hot mail. He didn't want to hurt Nate's feelings. He didn't do it. Wow. Uh and oh, So in this one, we were talking about staycations. All of a sudden, He's gonna take a staycation this time. He doesn't normally. He was he travels around the world. And I so I wrote a joke about me. I said, I was gonna do the joke. He wanted me to do it. I said, uh, I have a staycation time share, which he didn't he didn't want to do, which is basically saying, like my house punch. Um, I did have a couple of upsetting things happen to me this week, But before I get to those, is anything else you wanted to cover? No? I just wanted to. Uh I I want to tell everybody what I'm doing for Easter. I'm really I'm in my own headspace about what's going on here, but I can't reveal it. You have a surprise surprise plan, a huge surprise plan, and I don't know how it's gonna go over. But um, I guess we'll talk about it more next week. I want to. I will. I will say one thing though, Um I am. I do have my um my family coming over, and um I'm having it catered. My father was like, Anthony, do you think they could put the sausages in the gravy like we do on Sunday the mix it with the meat balls? Because I told them what was on the menu. I told him, I said, we got meat balls, we got this and that stuff, shells. We're gonna have a plant roller, teeny and chicken franchise. But but there's that I got you. I'm gonna be having motster this weekend. Oh boy, well that that's what you do. You can't have anything and everything so much better than sausage and meatballs in red yes so. But but my father at first was like, well, whatever you guys do, whatever you do is fine. You're hosting it. It's your party, Anthony, it's your cany don't you worry. I'm good. Is there anything we could bring? And I'm like, now everything's taken care of, Dad, Thank you, whatever you want phone click ten minutes later, Anthony. By the way, um, while we're on the topic, do you think you could ask him first first the request if they could put this sausage inside the gravy with the feet balls, And like, wait a second, you just told me ten minutes ago that anything that I do or serve is gonna be fine. By the way, I love that your impression of your father is exactly the same as my impression of the drunk guy in the bar who's like, I funk, I love you. So wait your thinking dad, that you just told me anything that I service it's all good, right, no complaint. By the way, for those of you that listen in order and uh, hold on her father's listen Order. You need to, okay, listen to order because this is a reference to past podcast those of you listening to Order. Scary is the guy who called his mother up to complain that he wasn't getting stuff shells. He was getting big site instead of right. So I think, I think I got a little dose in my own man. I think I know where you got it from. Right. But I'm like, wait a second, that that I I read you the menu. I told you I was going to order, and you said, everything that you order is fine. The order has been me and then it's like he ten minutes later, I get the call back, and then he ordered something that's not even on the fucking menue. Paul doesn't fall fall from the trade of my friends. So he made me. Not only did he want to add stuff to my menu that I didn't have, and I have sausage on the menu, but he ordered the menu item that wasn't that they don't make. So I'm like, now I gotta call the chef. So I had a call over to the catering place. The chef really not the chef, the people. I had a call over to the catering spot where I was getting the freaking food. And I had to say, hey, Mikey, Hey, you got a chef Minnie. Hey, Minnie, he put the sausage in the sauce. Please. And I know this is not on the menu, and I know it's kind of a special request, but it is for this is Easter, and it's especially ca Agian and usually in Easter's past we've had meat balls and sausage together in sauce. I'll be I'll be Chefvinny ready. Yeah, So you're saying to me, you want me to take the sausage that I cooked in its own sauce, right, you want me to pick that up, drop it in the pot with the sauce and the meat balls. That's what you're asking me to, don't know. Actually, what I'm asking you to do is take the sausage raw before you cook it in the sausage and peppers, because I do see sausage and peppers on your man. But take the sausage that you would use for that, and from its beginning state, I want you to drop it in sauce and cook it in the sauce, and then I would like you to mix it with the meat balls from your meat ball marinaraw dish over here, and I want you to combine the two in a giant tray so I can have sausage and meatballs, engravy or sauce in one pan. Can you do that for me? Vinny, you're asking me to take one meat that I normally cooking this sauce with peppers peppers, and this meat over here that I cook in a sauce that turns into more like a gravy. You want me to take them together and put them in the same pan. That's I have to google that recipe. But okay, I think I might be able to do that for you. But it's gonna cost you an extra It's I know, it takes no extra work. It takes zero extra word. I'm like, wait a second. Oh, the sauce jin pepper dishes one price. But but in order to have sausage removed from the I'm getting less. I got no peppers and here, yeah, but I'm putting it in in a meat sauce. But now it's thirty five extra. How do you? Okay, Okay, let's go to Let's go to Brody's side of the aisle now, okay, So I'm ordering Chinese food Sunday night, and my wife says to me, the kids are on a kick. All right, they must have seen a pig somewhere. Now, my kids don't eat pork. That's the new thing now, I know people listen to this podcast. No, I like rose poklomino vegetable. One word, rose poklamono vegetables. I rost pork fed rice, no vegetables. Those are my two favorite staples. Gotta have those, right, So my daughters decided they want chicken lomaine, no vegetables. Insanity, Like what who? I who raised you? Chicken lomaine? What? Okay? Not even beef lomaine. You don't get that beef fat chooses into the pasta that's not even greasy. We got it's there's no grease in it. Who wants healthy Chinese food? In fact, there's a place near me called healthy Chinese Food. I'm like, f you, what's the point of that? Anyway? It's not it's healthy quisie something like that. Anyway, So I guess the chicken isn't called low fat chow? Right? Yes? Hello, so I get I ordered the last two times I've ordered them the chicken lomaine, Right, I get my own roast pork lomain f you. Right. So they're like, hey, um, now, this is the place in the neighborhood, right that has the absolute best most pork fried rice, the best. It's dark brown, not like that light hard ship that you get, and it's like barely light round and it's got a couple of pieces of pork. That's bullshit fried rice. That's like a little score to the brown. And then then they give it to you. No, this is like cooked in and all of every rice is dark brown. That's the sign of good fried rice. Dark brown. Go find dark brown in your neighborhood and big pieces of pork, right, and then the pork fat melts off and it gets in. Oh it's everywhere. Love it. I got you on that. Okay, So they go, can we please have chicken fried rice? So I said no, no, I'm drawing the line. You gotta be on the chicken lot man, your bastards. But no, here's what I'll do. I will go, your father loves you. Here's what I'll do. I'll order the roset pork fried rice, no vegetables. I'll have him cook it with the pork on the side. I'm ordering like seventy five dollars of Chinese food, pan fried noodles. Everything right, So I say, hey, and then this way, you could dump in your pork right now. They know me. I'm oh, no vegetable guy, I'm I'm eating it for years. They know me, they know my phone number. Whatever. So I said, uh, listen, I need all I give the whole order. And I said, listen, I need roast pork, fried rice, no vegetables. Okay, oh yeah, okay, with egg yep, with egg yep. Got it. By the way, if you fried rice doesn't have egg in it, it's bogus fried rice. It's it's strip more awful bullshit I have. If it has carrots in it, you should really be bull bullshit. That's right. It shouldn't have carrots in it. Eggs and pork go to hell with everything else. I've seen bean sprouts. I don't need to be people do that, not me. No vegetables all right, So I said, do me a favor. You know, I ordered the same thing all the time. I just do me a favorite this one time. I'm trying to be a good father. Can I have the pork on the side. Can you make the pork and I'll put it in myself. Just give me the roast pork fried right, but no pork on the side, and eggs you get making with egg but it's put the pork out. No, I can't do that, should I know your regular customer. I can't do that. Why can't you do that? Why can you do that? Oh? We have cooked and with two different pans, I said, so on, well, extra ten seconds you cook the pork. I can't do that. You don't add the words for enough charge, so I so, I said, so, I said, but I'm not getting the vegetables. Just saving money on the vegetables on all the dishes I ordered. Right, he's saving money left and right on the vegetables. You can't. Don't ask for a price reduction when you say no vegetable. Right. But some places in Manhattan, they'll go have to charge you dollar more or two dollars more. They'll have to put an extra meat. I don't know, you don't Yes, it'll look empty. I don't give a ship. I don't want your sprouts in my food. I don't want onions in my fried rice. Just give me the same ingredients. Just about the vegetables. Two dollars and more. I'll never ordered from you never. You're dead to me, okay, So it says no. So I said, well, can I give you like a dollar or two? Just put on the side. Four dollars, four dollars, four dollars. Fuck you, give me a chicken fried rice. I'll go to the other place and get my own roast pork fried rice. So they tried to charge you. Yeah, I got regular customer, regular customer cook the park on the side. So you know what. I went home to my kids. I had the chicken fried rice. It was terrible. It was terror it was dry. It was quite doing that for this Sunday. I think you're doing this was this is last Sunday, last Sunday. So now I'm getting the roast pluck fight rice. I'm sorry, kids, enjoy your chicken Low Maine. Daddy's gotta have his roast pluck fight rice and vegetables. I'm with you on that sacrifice. Four dollars. Yeah, I can get bonus reps for like seven water and and and to Vinny Vinny at the catering spot. Come on, man, it's the same thing. I'm sorry. I gotta change the whole kitchen around. I gotta bring an extra cooks to come in and help me do that. I can't possibly take the sausage from pan Juan and put it in Panto. It goes back. It stems from. It stems back to my dad who has always had his meat gravy on Easter Sunday, where everything was in one bowl, one giant bowl of meat balls and and sausage, of course, and then he had the park knuckles and even a hard hard boiled eggs d hard boiled? Whoa? Whoa? We gotta ask me to put on boled eggs in my can we put Vinny? Yeah? I need I need some hard boiled eggs in the sauce tradition. Who whoa? Explain? Whoa? I'll put your sauceage in there for thirty five dollars. But what am I some kind of animal? I'm not porting eggs in there about because you put brajol in there. Put brajol in theref at twenty, But I'm not porting eggs in there. You put your own eggs in there. What do you think we're running here? You gotta you know what it's time? Fuck you? Vinny? Is it ny? I'll tell you what, because I'm want to see how the food comes out this. I'm ready to fuck you Sue, Fuck you Sue at the Chinese restaurant. I'm doing it, fuck you Sue at the Chinese restaurant. And that's her new name now, fuck you. So that's easy for you to say they can't spit in your food because it's in the past, tense. I haven't had my Easter catering, so you know what come Monday morning. Fuck you Wait a second, you're hearing this before I got saliva in my catering. God, he's gonna spit in my fing You gotta be nice the people that servant cook for you. Did you see the video of the woman spitting in the rape But she didn't, she didn't do anything that, she didn't do it. I'm getting a queasy Brodie. I can't do this. I'm gonna walk out. Don't walk disgusting man, No, don't walk out. I don't like. I don't like when people start messing with food like that. That's gross. But she didn't do it in the back. She did it at the counter. It was like the kind of counter when you make the food at the counter, like Chipotle, wasn't Chipotle. You could see the making it. She's spinning it and the customers right there, customer went to jump over the counter. I can't tell you about my friends growing up on Staten Island. Then they used to work at the bagel Nash. What they used to do. You can tell us. Give me one, give me one story. Sorry, that wasn't mayo. No, please tell me it was saliva. It was no, it was white. Oh, we'll go fluff another. Okay, okod save Brodie. And that was to some mean customers A speaking of bad customer service, I don't I don't call these guy friends anymore. I lost touch with them, all right, So somebody tweeted at me and said, you never finished a vegan pizza story. So just the recap. My daughter went to pick up two pizzas. One of them she ordered a vegan like she's a vegan. Well now she's a Now she's more of a pest caterian. But at the time she says she can't. She's lactose intolerant. Right, So she says, I'm gonna tells them she's a vegan, which times she was, and she says, give me a cauliflowered pizza no cheese pizza came home, which got the home head cheese on it in one job, no cheese, right, So I called up and complained, Uh and uh, I don't think I gave the update on the podcast. Hug fan here in Chicago, Grammar police, No, they like hugging. Hugged huge fan. Not from Brooklyn. But I started listening to The Big Show for about a decade and loved the podcast format where you both banged back and forth. I had a revolving door incident the other day which reminded me of the time of the revolving door push saga rant that you guys had last time. There was a few episodes ago. I was walking into my office building in the morning, so a guy with a roller bag headed for the same revolving door. I sped up to make sure I got there first so that I didn't have to wait for him to navigate the door with his roller bag. I got in the door, started pushing and immediately felt someone too close behind me. The guy was paying no attention, walked into my compartment in the revolving door. What's worse, he didn't let go of his roller bag and jam the door with the fucking handle. Now I'm stuck in a small glass in close space with another man. He apologized, profusely, and he we parted ways, but I later saw him in Lyon's Starbucks and thought to myself, Hey, how about buying me a cup of coffee after embarrassing me. I don't think that's out of line, is it? I mean free dessert here, guy, free dessert? I know. Uh. Jessica called the ground police on you, Brody. We read that earlier. I know, I knew. I'm not I'm making are you? They make a beautiful light up Bluetooth speaker that they sell. They want to sponsor the pods. But you know why it makes even sense to get in bed with them, even better sense because it's it's it's audio related and you can actually play the Brook and Boys podcast out of what looks like except not on Alexa. Not yet. Don't fix that problem yet. By the way, um, if right now you're writing an email to me or about to tweet when you hear this, I know that the Sudan is not a rock. You've got to review us on iTunes and give us whatever you think that we deserve and go to a seven and say unhelpful. His next line was, so fu seven I was. I was also recently sick and had an overcharge at CVS thanks to the morons day employed. So fuck you, Agnes. He's doing what you guys do. Can't wait for another one. Fuck you Boundary boys the past, because the Bowery Boys is what comes up when to play No, when you search iTunes for the Brooklyn Boys, boys comes up Bowery Boys. All right, all right, I have a lot more email. That's here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna do something we haven't done before. And instead of my mega rant, I'm gonna give you a medium rant. So mega rant will be next week. I'll give you a tease. It's about buying soda. So the soda rant is coming in episode thirty four. But I want to put someone on the phone. We have a lot of people who are now emailing me and emailing show about free dessert and problems they've had. So say hello to Melissa. Are you still near Melissa? Now? Are you enjoying the podcast? Live? All good? So Melissa emailed me at Brody and elvist rand dot com because she tweeted at me, and for the life of Mai, I can't remember our email account. So what hell's our email account? It's the Brooklyn Boys Podcast at gmail right I'm on the show. I can't remember what it is anyway, So Melissa had a horrific customer service experience that ended in free dessert. So if you could give me full blown rent in like two minutes, just get condense a little bit. What did you order, what was the problem, what did you do? What did you get? Don't be calm on this. I want you to rehash the vibe that you had when this was all going on okay, So we went in. There were in a vading in our bathroom in our home, and so we went. We have a Lows credit card and they were offering six months deal present interest on orders of fantastic and my husband went to the store to get a vanity light, a pendant light, a sink um, and a ring camera for security. And so I think it's all gonna be about six dollars and we went to the front. We had picked all of our artems and we went to the front to get the ring camera, which they said in online was in stock, and they didn't have the one that that we needed. So they said, well, our other store has it. So the other store is completely across town. But if you if you go over there, you can't pay for the ring camera separately because it qualified for the two night and names, you know, special right all in one shot. So they told us just ordered stuff this stuff online, so we did the next day, so we ordered the stuff online. I went to go pick it up after we had received an email. So this is the second time we've been kind of around town. But we when we were leaving the store with our vanity light, our pendant light, my husband could hear something in the vanity light box like broken glass. What happened to the box he opened? He ripped open the box in the back of our jeep, and he's like, you're kidding me, it's broken. They gave me a broken box, like you can obviously hear that it's broken. And so he starts going off because my husband is kind of quick tempered and could be very loud, and so we ran back hand and we noticed that the pendant light that they gave us as well was all scratched up. So they gave us a crappy pendant light and they also gave us a broken vanity light. The girl alerts us while she's eating again lovely Amy eating. They're going all over the store, and I think you do realize by gave you a two minute limit. I know I'm trying. I'm trying, okay. So bottom line is they screw on our list. You know, hold on, hold on hold, because I read, I know, I know where this is going. It's good. So just just to summarize, they screwed you on the part go to the store right. They gave gave you the thing in a broken bulb in it, they kept you waiting, the kid was screwing up, and all this happened. So ultimately you didn't get what you wanted. You complained to management. Right, that was so angry. I was sitting at home thinking like what can I do? And I thought, you know what, I'm emailing the CEO. I emailed him. By nine am the next morning, someone from the executive staff was calling me. The manager of the branch was calling me, um, and I had a district manager calling me. All within fifteen minutes. So by the time I had even gone to work that day, they were calling. Right, so did they give you? What did they do? So, after going back and forth, they did overnight the Lincoln. I got the shipping back. Okay, so they gave me off my vanity light. On the branch level they gave me a fifty dollars gift card, and on the executive level they gave me a two hundred fifty gift card. Good for you, So you got you complained, you didn't accept what they were going to offer you. You got plenty of free dessert. It all worked out in the end, absolutely fantastic. And you owe it all to us. Sure, I owe it all to you. There, you go well, listen, thank you very much for that. We appreciate it. Thanks for thinking of us, and I'm glad that it all worked out for you me too. Thank you guys so much. After you two, sorry took so long, No problem list Thanks as long as you got desserts. Thank you so much. Okay, so there you go. There's an example of free dessert that is awesome. I like that all right, Now you have to leave in like two minutes, Yeah, I do. By the way. Um, T J. Rivera just wrote to us from from from the Mets, a different T J. Rivero from Des Moines, and he wants us to be called the Brooklyn Brigade. Can we sign off as the Brooklyn Brigade? No, okay, we won't let me think about it. Well, that's what his fan army wanted. And remember, at the top of this podcast, I was complaining about a guy. I was writing an email to somebody. So Carmelo Chaconi the guy's name. I'm gonna call him out right, Hey, say c d S. He just now wrote me back from my email. Hey, sorry, but double xcels are too big because I told him we're out of stop right right right, everybody heard the podcast. Can you instead send me a digital camera or is it too much a digital camera? You guys have plenty of those futures a shirt you want to came guys have plenty of those Fuji film Fuji films that stop free, that's free, wedding gator, donate a lot of them. And then he wants an inst camera. That was then he obviously had a second thought, but he hit email sent about the Mercedes from the Mercedes comes back two minutes later with the follow up email, come on, you can you can do? You are one of the big manager there, sent from his android. Motherfucker where the okay, God, first of all, don't slip and send from your android. You can do with that s Come on, Carmelo. Okay, we did we say that we were just gonna give you a couple of free T shirts. Hey, and then we we don't have him in restaurant manager, my diet coakes a little flat. I was wondering if you could give me a free steak dinner for twelve and it was a mistake. Dinner twelve that's what he's asking for the equivalent of and we don't even know him free dessert because by the way, was just a favorite. We're gonna give him the beauty out of stock on the Excels and I asked him, can we give you a double excel? And he goes, no, that's too big. Okay, you don't have him in stock. Give me three fucking digital cameras. And speaking of digital cameras, flat panel lg TV, your son of him, you're at it. No, you're not doing that. You're not getting away spends not I got run. You can't run. You can't run because I'm gonna do a short rant here. A short rand. You could be like finger pass over and the due. Dude, I gotta be, I gotta be. I gotta be imbroken. Okay, let me tell you something. I don't care about what you're doing outside this podcast, inside this podcast of a big inside this podcast. This is what's of what you gotta stay here. I not run the board. I want to yell out with a damn bit, you're gonna stay it for my grand I'm giving you a short ran with a promissory note for an epic rant next time. So on, I gotta conserve time. I gotta get my jacket start to rant. I'm coming right back here. I gotta run and got so I get two letters in the mail. Okay. One of them says your you're spending account has been canceled. Now, spending account, if you don't know, is money that goes into an account pre tax so you don't get taxed on it, because into an account that you can spend on your medical expenses. So you can buy draw ugs, you can you can pay you a doctor for surgery, for an exam, whatever, and it saves you a little money because the government is not taxing it. Okay. And so you get a credit card to spend like uh like like a credit card to spend all your medical expenses. All right, So that's very important when you have a family, it's important that you have a spending a exactly. Oh you don't even know what I'm talking about, your son of a bitch. Okay. So I get this emails as your spending account has been canceled due to a change in your employment, possibly in your employment status. So I freak out. I got a family of five, I got so my wife's like, you got joked that right away. So it's like you have two pieces of mail, So I look at the other piece of mail. Okay, and it says, oh, by the way, your company has filed for chapter eleven, which it has. By the way, chapter eleven is not chapter seven. Chapter seven. Chapter eleven means they're gonna reorganize the company, They're gonna make some financial changes whatever. So I'm like, oh my god, my company file for chapter eleven. Somehow it gets grew it up. I lost my medical benefits. I'm in a panic. So I said, maybe it's because we got a new card. Maybe it's in it's the old card. This is my wife's like, no, we have the same card. The numbers didn't change, nothing changed. You got to call them right away. I'm like, holy shit, okay, So I called them right I'm on haul press two, press four, press six. If you want this department, there's no there's no button for your spending account has been canceled. Okay. Finally I get a guy. His name was Hamsey, I think I think that was his name. Could barely understand what he's saying, so I said, look, I don't know what's happened. To my knowledge, I haven't been fired. I don't know what we need. My employment status has changed. I didn't get a raise. I didn't get if. I don't know what you're talking about. But the letter says your expense account has been canceled. What does that mean? What about all the money I put in? So he says, all, my friend, because your expense account has been cancer. I know that's why I'm calling you. So he says, a year ago, your company used to use our company for your expense account. We had an orange credit card. Yes, an orange credit card. Now we have a red and white credit card like our our radio. We have a red white credit card. I don't understand. What's the problem. The card works, yes, well that card was called your expense account. So your expense account was canceled. Yeah, that's what I'm calling. Know. What I'm trying to say is the company is called your expensive account and that card was canceled. Well why why why did you just say the arge credit card has been deactivated? You send me a letter on the same day I find out my company found will bankruptcy. Now you tell me your expense account was canceled. You know the name of your company is misleading. Why wouldn't you say you're expensive hount. You know the name of your expense account that you don't use anymore. It's deactivated. The letter says your expense account. Fuck you. I'm he says, I understand it could be confusing, and I do feel terrible. I know how upsetting this must be. By the way, everyone in that part of the world, the customer service is the same thing. We understand how frustrating this might be, and we sympathize and apologize. Freddy inconvenience. That's the top of the don't want you to fucking understand how difficult and upsetting it is. That's the ship sandwich right there, that's the bun. The bun is that. Let's let's butter you. I got the same ship from Samsung. Samsung upgraded this. I love Samsung. By the way, I'm sorry, was Android? So Android upgrades this software from eight to nine. Well nine doesn't allow you to do some things that eight did. So I emailed the online on the on Twitter and they're right back, Oh, we understand how upsetting this must be. But you know, and but we apologize for any inconvenience op with to cliches. You don't understand how upsetting it could be. Because I got a jingle your expensive council to cancel hours on first I don't know third base. Don't send a letter to my house. That doesn't make it very clear that you're not canceling my medical insurance. On the same day my company Fasters chopped eleven bankruptcy. By the way, I got a heart attack on this podcast. Help people listening. Don't have me because oh my god, I'm eating this wonderful trail mix that can lady, I'll love you. I know all right, you're moving man, Okay, sorry about that. Look this was this isn't all over the place podcast. Don't worry about Melissa called Chad long story. I apologize you, and I mean to walk out on your rent. I have to gather my belongings and get the hell out of here. I'm gonna be late. I love you, I know, I love you. I love you, Melissa, I love everybody. Fuck you, Vinny, fuck you Souper Happy passos se pace off from Scary Scary
One of them she ordered a vegan like she's a vegan. Well now she's a Now she's more of a pest caterian. But at the time she says she can't. She's lactose intolerant. Okay. Also, Ryan Letterer wrote to us he was one of your guys, Brodie, who you mentioned earlier He's checking in from Chicago. Chicago. He wrote, Chicago Shorts, what's up Brooklyn boys? Um oh, this is a submission to our email from Mark Mark Card. They were jumping all over the ground you see from Chicago, Chicago. My name is Mark. I'm twenty nine from the Jersey big fan. Work for Triple A most of the time sitting in a truck. Love the rants and free desserts. I love the free desert stories. D E S E R T. Extra. He's talking about the episode that we you went to the Sudan Oh, yeah, when I the Iraq Rant. Yeah? Anyway, I know you guys are very busy, Uh you guy, but you guys should put out two episodes per week. Come on, man, two episodes. I listened in order, but let's face it, how could how else would you listen? Now here's a name for the fans. Since you're Brooklyn boys, I think it would only be right that we fans of yours just a bunch of Govns. We are Govnes Brodie, he wants Govnes as his name. He wants two episodes a week. Yeah, I saw that guy. Yeah, and we can hopefully you guys can have Michael Rappaport on one day. He's a funny guy to bed scary funk that up. Okay, I didn't suck it up. I didn't know any better at the time. Anyway. The Burger King by my work is under renovation right now, and the sign caught my eye and it was oh closed for remodel. It was just a sign underneath the Burger King that was out on the road. Bro you know how they spelled remodel t r E m O d l E. How else would you spell it r r E m O d E L. Yeah, so you didn't know. I know, I knew. I'm not I'm making are you? Raoul dot Allett wrote, I can't believe one of my favorite podcasts mentioned name that wasn't for me, that was for the guy and way not looking for any freebe's here, but I would love to be a sponsored Let me know how we can make this work. Love to use your marketing resources on your amazing podcast. I have sent my products so you could check it out. He didn't say what it was. His name is Raoul. Do we get something for our from a role in the mail? Did we get a box? No? Oh, we gotta box some Omar? Did we a guy named Omar left email roll unless Oh no, it looks like their brothers. Oh, then we got it. Okay, what is this? Okay, it's a here's the thing. We'll just give him a freebie. No, no, hold on? Okay, all right, Well they make it. I was saying when I was the rant about Iraq, I was okay, So anyway you want to give him a quick shout out of his website and let's see if you get I don't have that information in front of me, all right, Well when we're gonna talk about it in a week or so. Alright, we love them. Thank you for your gift, all right. Also one last one from Jason j Show Scary and Brody. Love your Brody, but it sounds better this way. By the way, I want to shout out. I'm gonna interrop you for a second. We were at the Mets game, right We're walking past the long line of people waiting to get on the entrance. They're waiting to good too, And we were walking by the long line with our laminates out and a couple of look, guy, Scary Scary didn't say a word to me. That's fine. We got another couple of feet and a beautiful tall woman had a boyfriend whatever, but she said it's Brody and Scary. I love your Brody, so thank you. I didn't catch your name because we were running by you. I apologize it and stopping down. Nice look like your boyfriend was gonna hit me. But you're very trying active and I appreciate the fact that you by the Brody handicap. You had to give him one. Yeah, you know she felt bad for you apologized to handicap. People know she had listen to a previous episode. You know, I don't mean any contest, but anyway, anyway, and finally, yes, so j show writes, Uh, you both make my day better every time I listened Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, sometimes Tuesday. Whenever you get a chance, dropped that new episode in there. Just gave you guys five stars on iTunes. Yes, thank you, Je.
