Speaker 1: I can go for a steak right now, Brodie and I and I know you don't like to put catchup on them. I'll be honest with you. Omaha steaks. The last three times I've eaten them, you know me, I didn't put catchup on them because I just right off the grill, don't need anything. They're so tender and juicy, the freshness that they freeze them and then right to your door and then boom right to your grill. They make me appreciate my grow more. Like that's weird, right that I that I like my grill more because I'm like, oh, I have a box of Omaha steaks. I'm gonna cook them. They make me want to illegally barbecue on my balcony where I am not allowed to bebecue. I'm to have a deck and a grill. And it's getting to the point now, at least in New York where we live, where we've got like a month and a half left of really nice weather, and so we're grilling now. I would say three times a week. So keep the Omaha for me, keep it coming. How about this. You're gonna get twenty eight of your barbecue favorites for just at Omaha Steaks dot com for our Brooklyn Boys list. Uh potatoes all grow a tall four of those. Okay, here here's the part. You know it gets me every time. The caramel apple tartlets. Yeah, you get four of those as well. You get the seasoning packet, the official Almo Steaks seasoning packet, and then more burgers, four more of them. That was the but wait, there's more. Importantly, there's more more burgers. So Yes, what is fifty gonna be? We were at an event last night where somebody approached me and said, scary, you got your hand off my ass. And after she said that, I said, it wasn't on your ass, it was on Brodie's ass. I thought your ass was Brodie's because you were standing next to her. Yeah, because I wanted to squeeze. By the way, speaking of standing next to you, you got you got quadruple brody and scaried last night. Well, I got screwed, you did? I got? I got? Okay? First of all, First of all, we were at an event, but let me finish my thought ahead. They said, are you gonna do for episode fifty? Are you gonna do a big one? And I said, They're like, oh yeah, could you do a live episode? Oh yeah, hold on, uh, next week is number fifty. Let's try and get a live event going. It's not gonna happen for episode fifty. We did talk about it when we were at episode two. We did talk about it. We did, but a lot has to happen. Yeah, you know, these require sometimes over a month or two of planning. You need a venue that wants us, not a lot. A lot of people are gonna want us. You need a place that's gonna have equipment that can record us, and a place that's gonna offer free dessert for the listeners, and shut right that we're going to negotiate, like what what we're gonna get. You gotta close down the place because you can't have it someplace where like, oh, there's a restaurant in the back and everybody hear us. So I will tell you though, the venue we were at yesterday would make a great place for a live event because it's in Manhattan, but it features the Brooklyn Bridge in the background. Last night we were at a place called the Rooftop at Pier seventeen in the South Street Seaport, the Seaport district of Manhattan, which is a beautiful it was a tourist area, but it was back in the day, back in the day demolished and said, now we got it. We need a reboot on this place. And let me tell you a reboot. It was a beautiful one. It's a contract venue, it's a rooftop and in the ground floor they've got bars and restaurants down there, and the entire neighborhood is bustling. You got locals, you got tourists, You've got something for everybody. Bottom line is we were there. William Payne took the stage. Yeah there was. We could have taken the stage at our Brooklyn Boys listeners. And by the way, we had a lot of Brooklyn Boys listeners there last night. Yes, thank you so much for coming up and showing your love. And while we were there, we were you know, we said, oh my god, the Brooklyn Bridges in the background, this is the perfect backdrop for the Brooklyn Boys. What what could be a live Brooklyn Boys show? But I thought I was getting one over on you. I said, when we were all up on stage right with the whole Elvis Durrand Morning Show came out and I said, I'm gonna lined up were lined up across the stage, and I said, I'm gonna strategically place myself before Brody. So when I so, when Elvis would go down the line from when if I'm looking out at the stage from left to you were closer to Elvi. I was on your right right. So I'm like, this is great. It's gonna come out of Elvis's mouth. He's gonna be like her. And I'm like, boom, scary and brody. And then you were like ha ha, sucker, I got checked this. Now I'm gonna go first to be scary and brody. And I pointed out that everyone taking our picture from the crowd would see us as brody and scary left to right. So I got screwed in reverse because anyone taking the picture, you got brody and scary. Now that's the end of the night. When we took the stage introduced Lee in Pain around, but the whole rest of the night earlier, you had to work a booth, right, you had a sponsor you had to work with, and so you were kind of tied to that booth. Yes, I was. I was rolling around, so people were coming up to me going, oh my god, Brody, well, we love you. The Brooklyn boys were scary. It is always over there, and so you were tied to the booth. I would get all the love from the listeners and then I would bring them over to you and we would take pictures. But I would make sure to always be on your right, so in the picture it's left to right. Brodian scary. You were getting really annoyed. At one point you tried to swing around to the other side. You're like, no, I'll get on this side. Brody. I'm like no, I'm good. I was trapped. Your Brody scared me. And a lot of people were coming up going, oh my god, it's Brody and scary, Brodian and scary. It's it's taken a life of its own. It's it's a thing, all right, whatever. But you know what, only legendary DJs would matter when it comes to announcing our names. You're a legendary DJ, which I'm not. You make the call. No, you make the call. And there's a legendary DJ who you might have heard of. Her name is Delilah and Delilah and she has been on for Why is that count? She a major? People know her. I'll tell you what you would you had already left left when this happens, doesn't matter on stage before you play that. Do we want to have our friend coming for a second? Yeah, we can bring him in, Okay, but we have to let him in. Why doesn't he have a key to this place? So what happens is after a certain time of the afternoon, all the freaking doors locked from the outside. Yeah, we keep criminals out. Come on in, have a seat. It's not buddy Spruce with you guys. Spruce Okay? S these hashtag Spruce on the loose? Hold on hashtag? You just got urban again? What are you talking about? The minute the only black person you know walks in the room, you just fist pounded him. What I always fisted you just Obama miche I'll fist pounded him. Oh my god, I realized I also fist pump he poun did you He doesn't pound anybody? I just realized I also Spruce. I thought you were married. You never pounded anybody. I pound is cake st cake and steak. Spruce is with us right now? Why don't take First of all, why don't they give you like a key to get in here past out regular hours? Because they know me feeding into the stereotype. It's because he's from Louisiana. You didn't do it. You realize something. Not only do I fist pump you, I also fist bump Charlemagne's your bodyguard morning. Yeah, I don't care I do that though. How many people do you fist bump? In general? The only two people of color he knows in this building. I can't do you fist pump Charlemagne? I do three? Yeah? Do you think do you fist pump Jim Card the Classic rock station? No? I don't. In the peace sign the rock out, I got the pinky and the the index finger. Okay, can I can I tell you the old um that's not the old Beavis about it. It's it's a rocker fingers. It's like it's like devil horns. So he's the day. You shouldn't do that, just like you also shouldn't try to be urban on the red carpet with your MTV people that your interview, what are you talking about? You gotta try to get street with with Tiger. Yeah, yeah, don't don't do that. How did you know I did that? As I saw the video? You're a bump bigot. He's like, yo, he says, the new joint, your new join is lit. So he said, you said and that, And then Sabrina Corfiner comes up. He goes, I have to say, Sabrina, your new single is fantastic. But I got a picture. I got a free shot of it was it was Tiger, it was me and it was Safari. Safari's the guy who's beefing with Nikki Twitter beat beef with Yeah that Harry was fighting with Taylor. They were throwing shades. They were throwing shade at each other. Whoa, whoa, what do you mean shade? They were throwing shade Nikki and they were what do you mean back at each other? No, because shade apparently okay, So I don't. I was told by somebody they're like that Nikki and obviously Nicky Safari used to date and then next thing, you know, next thing, I'm spilling spilling. Hold on. They used to date, right, and then they got into a fight on Twitter, which is very public, and then she made fun of his hairline and then she somehow dragged who into it. There was somebody a third person into it. Cardi B. Yeah, Cardi B and some other people. Well, she said it's missed the Travis Scott to right, miss Travis Scott too. But she gave Safari light by talking to even in the song waying the song, did you explain this scary? What given light means? What does it mean? Just giving him? She gave him light. She gave the light on him, light on him. Yeah, she signed a spot signed spotlight on him. She gave him lights game here, but she signed light on him by saying he had a like that. That's the only reason she stayed with him. For those of you at home without a TV monitor, Spruce made a large penis sign with his hands. Yes uh hashtag big dick. Oh you guys can say that. Yeah, we don't. We don't have to say it's ours. Yeah, but so Spruce, yeah, so no, just average. Now you were gonna did you tell did you tell Tiger and Safari that you have a friend named Spruce? I did not show them picture of him. No, no, no, no, you got a black friend, man. But you know what we were talking about. The whole brody Scary, Scary, Brody, Um you know argument, and I said, the legendary DJ Delilah. I mean she would know more than anyone. She was giving a radio talk a couple of weeks ago at an event, and here's here's what she said. You know what, have phones on this side? They're right there, They're right there for you. Okay, you play your clip, I'll explain it. Elvis Durant and his crew. I think between Elvis and Greg and Scary and Nat and Brody, they've got okay there, Scary and Brodie, she said, Scary and Brodie. Okay. To show you how little she knows, she called Nate Nat, so how can I give her any creeds? Plus, she was reading of an index card that somebody else wrote, who actually thinks of me more than you? That's because you live on the sales floor. And it was sales people who wrote it was a sales event. They handed Delilah card and she read Nate as body will never ever let it down. That well, he'll never let me live it down for some reason. And and but the last night, and all of our fans all said Brody and skier, But little do they I was here first and I invited Brody to do this podcast, not correct it if we're gonna hear a rant at some point a guest on my old podcast. So I lost rant. Yeah, episode fifty, next episode, the next episode? When is that gonna air? By the way, next week? We get not next Thursday. So so I'm sorry. I don't understand it. What's the problem with the name? I mean, is it a pride thing? What's going on? You know, honestly, it really it probably doesn't really matter. We just like to fight still, Diana Ross and the Supremes. What's going on? Doesn't do you have the Michael Rappaport We played it again, the rap. We're gonna play that for Spruce play on the last couple of episodes. We played it at the beginning of the episode, our episode with Michael Yet No, I saw him in here so good. Yeah, Michael Radport not very happy with me. Yeah, because Scary turned him down six months ago and I begged him. We gottapen He's no, it doesn't really fit our podcast, Like are you talking about He's great? So I was going back and forth at Michael Rappaport on social media trying to get him to come on. So we turned you down when you were promoting your book, and I had to change your heart and I was. We then trying to get him back, but it was too late. But then finally it came our way and we had him on. He was great at the end the end of you. He said, hey, can you record a quick idea that you're listening to the Brooklyn Boys and you know whatever? And here's what he gave us. What's up. This is Michael Rapperport and you are listening to the Brooklyn Boys podcast with Brody and Scary. I gotta do another fucking take because you guys can't figure out whose names should go first and Scary, so why the fund do I gotta I gotta do two takes to me? All right? And this is Michael Rapport and you were listening to the Brooklyn Boys podcast with Scary and Brody. You know you know why it's Brody and Scary and not Scary and Brodie because Scary didn't want me on his podcast. That you fuck you. It's Brody and Scary. That's the way it is you You you fuck you? Um oh yeah yeah, oh Scary yeah. Oh But anyway, I did have fun at the VM a red carpet if we're going back to that. But that that was, that was he's two different people. No, I'm not two different people. I'm I'm always. I'm just adjusting. Yeah, I am, I could be. Is that Chamelion with three k's, I'm I'm a three came Let me say that I can I can survive anywhere because I'm I'm okay and I'm comfortable in my own scale. What kind of neighborhood would you have to survive in let's just run that bias. How do you feel like your survival would be at risk? So, you know, since our last podcast, we had this crazy thing going with this, uh this app called Cameo. Now, Brodie, Brodie, you know, are you familiar with this? Cameomi with a sponsor sponsor no jingle. Cameo is one of these apps where it's a video messaging service where you can get your favorite celebrities to record videos for you that you could repost on Instagram or Snapchat, whatever you want to do with it. It's a personalized message. They actually do like a short form video for you and they're looking into the camera and like a selfie camera and um, so I went up. I went up against Greg t as an on air competition and UM, I donated, donated my my money that I'm in. I made it three hundred dollars. You could set your own price by the so some some celebrities charge three. Lance Bass charges like four hundred bucks. If you want him Bass and go, hey, I love Scary for my friends at Blue Tech Maintenance and Renovations. I hear about blue Tech. I've heard about you guys before. Is your advertising does work? Um? And for everyone else with blue Tech, you're gonna find honest, reliable and professional. Okay, But yeah, I'm not paying for that. Why don't we have to play that? Because I guess I I technically made money off of what I What I wanted to do was to uh, was to play just one of your videos. I didn't realize that one was like an endorsement. Was an endorsement one, but it will be get Like Michael robinport and he and go, hey, he has a script. Could you please wish a happy birthday to my friend Mike and tell me who himself? And in Robin Portal read the script as he's looking at the camera. The script comes at the top and us, Hey, Mike pal Joey wants me to tell you to go funk yourself, happy burke, you like that whatever it is, so he might charge fifty bucks. So Greg t and I charged twenty dollars apiece. And then over the course of a weekend, and they had Greg Tea doing his character that he does this this French cook chef lat and I was doing my uh well, I have to hear Greg doing a French accent. It's awful. Uh And then I did my Mr Mike and they both made a lot of money, which they gave the charity. Right, Oh, I gave my money to charity. I can't speak. So he got a lot of them. He made like four hundred bucks for charity. Right, I do like twenty two of these? Now, yeah, before you complain that the math is off, we get se the west side gets Wait a minute, you did ten for twenty it's two and drows none no, right, so seventy what was that noise? So he ar he got like twenty right over the weekend. So he tells me yesterday goes hey, man, I'm pumping it up to fifty. I think I can get fIF actually, right, forty? I think I can get forty, so I got. I actually raised my price to forty dollars a cameo and I got my first request. I fulfilled it today too. They wanted me to do my Mr Michael Oppenheimer phone tap voice and guy Happy Birthday, and I posted it and it's there. So if you go to cameo dot com, if you're following along, or if you go down to the cameo app. Now, this is the big debate Brodie and I've been having because I just say what, Brodie's not a few, but he's Brodie has given everybody like an introductory Okay, I gave everybody an introductory rate because I feel like Scary has more on air presence on the Big Show. He and Gregg t talk more on the Big Show, more of a social media following. I get that. So I came in. I came in. I came in hard at twelve dollars. I've never raised my price to forty, so I'm going for twelve. I only advertised for fifteen minutes on Friday. I got three people. I did him. They all gave me five stars. I try to make it funny. I got my I got my money, and I feel like I don't know if I want to take advantage. I don't want to bother people were like, okay, but I I if enough people tweet at me and go, we all we'd love to give you, get you to do a personalized message. Although I will say one guy who follows me on Twitter, I'm not gonna say his name. He says to me, I would love it if you could say, in your Brooklyn voice, the way you say fuck you a seventy seven, if you could say fuck you to me. So I go, yeah, sure, he's a great. Um. I'll donate to your charity or I'll give money to whatever in your name, whatever you want. And I'm like, you know there's a website where you have to pay me for that, right is yeah, yeah, But I was thinking I just don't money to charlf. So I'm like, yeah, like when you sell ship on eBay, But then you go, you know, I'll just sell to you privately. No, no, no, because here's the thing. I'm sure you're a good guy. But if I'm charging it, first of all, only twelve dollars. First of all, it's not a big charity investment. But all right, how do I know you gave it twelve dollars to charity. Why are you trying to go around me? I just started. I got three people. You're trying to go. Hey man, I'll know, I'm gonna name a star, name a star after you, and then I'm gonna adopt a hissing cockroach at the zoo, put your name on it. But you know I want to take my twelve bucks. I'm gonna go to Kentucky Fried Chicken, buy a bucket, and I'm gonna donated. I'm gonna dedicate it to you. Give me a brody bucket. No pay the twelve dollars. Go on, Cameo. I'll do right by you. The only thing that that's the downside of that is Cameo gets to keep us. Guess what the other way I get. Yeah, he's like, so I said, look, I appreciate you donate the money to charity. That's good of you. But you know I got kids to feed. I got a kid just started college. I could use the money. You know. I'm not looking for it. I'm on advertising and I put myself on there because it was this bid for the show, like, oh, put everybody we signed up. I signed up if you if you want me to, you know, say hey, fuck you you know whatever, or hey make a Brooklyn Boys thing or whatever. That's what that that's where we're at right now. We're debating should we do a Brooklyn Boys account. Yeah, we may make an account where you get both of us get to Brooklyn Boys, right, Scary'll pay attacks on all that. That's good. We'll fight over the money and that will be why we break up as a duo. Like, I don't know what we're gonna do. I don't know how it's gonna work. But if we should not keep each other, okay, we'll settle this. Bet uh spruce spruce on the loose. If Scary is doing a bit and the person writes, oh my god, love the Brooklyn Boys his Scary, can you do a private message for me right while he's filming? Should he come running for me, going, bro they love the Brooklyn Boys. Get in here, say hi to Margaret whatever. But he's getting all the money. I think if it's a Brooklyn Boys thing, he should be involved. No, But if it's if it's just me, if it's my cameo and his account, and then and then Brodie makes a cameo in the cameo. Okay, but that was the person asking. That's all I'm saying. That's why we should have an account for the Brooken Boys. Maybe I don't know if we should or not. I don't know if that's a good idea. Well, you guys feel like you're gonna be like you guys feel like you're gonna like eight cents. Oh, I don't even know why anybody wants our videos. We made him funny. We didn't do funny one. We did some hilarious ones. But then but then again, then everyone's gonna want free dessert. Yeah, but I have to be honest. There's the celebrities on on the on the app and again not a sponsor. Would you love having fun with the app? We're like I would, I would probably I would pay them, like I would go, hey could record this for me? I kind of get a kick out of it. Yeah, I don't know, but what we'll see, we'll we'll bandy that about. But yeah, like, what's the kid Upton video worth? Like if she's like, hi, Hi, David Brodie, you know she could be wearing a bikini whatever. You know he's pregnant. Now I'm not into that. But she's pregnant. Yeah, I'll wait. By the way, pregnant women are beautiful. I just got that globe. You know she's married to justin Verlando an example. Yeah, and I'm married. I'm saying someone video TiO taroll Owen, Tarrell Owens, tarall Owens. Right, he turn he's on there, isn't turn over. He's on there and he's, um, he did a lot of these and he just did. See what he just did. He did a lot of them, he said, he just did. He just did. Like I'm gonna relate to Spruce by naming a black athlete. No, no, no, no, no, you know that in your head. I named Kate Upton. He's like, oh yeah, he can name white girl. I'm gonna yo, boy. T O is on that. So t O is on there and he's at the beach. Get a guy with initials. He does a lot of his black. He he does a lot of his from from the beach, like shirtless. So he is like greasy like Torso. And I wanted that. You don't want that, No, I don't want to see t with no shirt on. Okay, No, well, um, you know another thing I found out yesterday, Brody at our event. Yah, um, they said that there's this Facebook fan page that they created. Yeah, there's a Brooklyn Boys podcast secret fan page, a group. It's a group on that they started, and there's a couple of hundred members there and they're talking about us behind our back, and then somebody they're talking about you guys, just discussing the podcast. So I'm talking. I'm thinking like, wait a second, I'm like, is this a is this the start of a cult? But be should we really be in there? Because they're asking us, they're asking us to join. I feel filthy. I feel like I'm like a fly on the wall eaves dropping on their conversations. Here's the thing. I think it's fantastic that they did this. It's a it's a huge honor that they created a fan group for this podcast. They were suggesting we join it, though, here's why we can't join. Here's why we can't. I'll give you two reasons. My Facebook account is my private account where I use only for my family and my my high school friends and you know people a personal friends. I don't use it for public. So that's why you won't. I don't care. No, you have a public page I don't mine. Is only for family and friends, and I don't use it for anything. Like there's a website. There was a website, a news website today that posted something right, and I looked at the comments section, and it really infuriated me. You know what, may I like to fight on the internet with people who disagree with me? You know? And then I realized if I went to comment, it would show my Facebook and my profile picture, and that's I don't I then I then I'm speaking for the David Brody that works on the Elvis Raight Morning Show, because it shows up it says, oh, executive producer tells you like a little bit who you are. I can't comment on a page if me joining the Facebook group with our fans is like me being on Twitter. I already tweet back every single tweet I get. I interact with every fan, right, but aren't you guys like honorable members would be like that's what I'm saying. I would let them if they want to talk about us or like completely like something they don't like something I I don't have the time in the day to answer everybody back on Twitter and everybody back on Instagram and then get involved with chats on on Facebook. But can you let these guys know that we're that right now? Okay, down, I think it's fantastic. I don't because I know me. I'll interact with every single question, every single person, and then the old one on Facebook, which I can't never shower again. So I tweet with everybody. I Instagram with everybody, every comment. If I don't comment back, I at least like it. I let them know that I read it. I do my best. I can't, I don't time and the day I can't, but I'm but I'm I'm blown away that people. I'm so so honored. Now we still haven't officially called the fan group the Slices, but it seems like it's taken a lead slice pizza. I have a criticism, a criticism about a logo. I wanted sausage on the pizza. This is even another Some people are saying it looks like a cookie so so um it is Abbie but Mike Pepperoni. But I wouldn't say that to Spruce. I just said Abby obvious, not an urban Abby. Now I wouldn't say that, all right, because it's too like I'm a white girl. So I'm they're saying that making adjustment to the logo exactly. They want a pizza to look more pizza. And here's how you make a pizza look more pizza. You remove a slice and you you kind of separated as if you're taking it out of the pie. So you see a little silver from the pan. So there's a slice kind of coming out of so kind of like a So the circle is not really a full circle. It's it's like a circle. But everyone understands. What do you think about that? You don't want to make an adjustment to know because the logo isn't a pizza. The logos and oh we made look like a pizza. If you take a slice out, it looks like a cue or it depends on where you take that slice. Its like it looks like it look like one devil's horn on the top of it. It's an Oh, it's a pizza. It's fine, We're good. I understand that it's not the greatest pizza ever. We can maybe drizzle some sauce on it. What if we cheat? What if we garnish the pizza better? Pepper? Look, I wanted sausage and Kathleen put pepperoni. She designed the logo web Grol Kathleen on the obst Ram Morning Show and I said, I want Yeah, so she made the pepperoni more grayish. I'm like, you're not going to alter the logo. And by the way, I was any restaurant, any pizza place that makes it has round pepperoni around, I mean round sausage. That's not sausage. You gotta make it in rips at an angle. Maybe crumbles, but that's sauces that are like I love crumbles on my sausage, like crumbles on your sauces. I crumbled sausage. I like Fennels, crumbles on your sausage. See a doctor, can I don't like sausage. You don't not a fan. No, you look more like you'll have a seafood guy. Yeah, I don't. I don't need pork. Pork, but it's no good reason why spruce doesn't need pork. Just because something I remember correctly, some guy dared him not deep pork for a week. Whatever. It was my brother who's a vegetarian. Okay, yeah, well you know okay, and he said he I told him. I told him, okay, I'll stop eating pork. If you stop smoking cigarettes. So you guys challenged each other. Brother, my older brother. You never went back. I never went back but a smoke of pork. But he The thing is, though, that you'd hope that story ended with. And he hasn't a cigarettes him. He went back. He went back to smoking cigarette. He's going back to cigarette in about four months. Ye are you keep in mind spruces from from Louisiana and you grew up in South right. So he loves loves barbecue, as he says, que Yeah, loves the queue brisket. You'll have brisket. Yeah, beat brisket. I'll rock that. Now. When I said pork, it was random. It could have been chicken, It could have been anything. I just randomly said pork. But we were in New Orleans at my grandmother's at the time, and it was Thanksgiving, and I wasn't about to give up eating pork. Couldn't being Thanksgiving, couldn't have been anything like that. You can't give up gumbos. That's blash craw Come on, all right, well, all right, I'm leaving you just said that as he's wearing his New Orleans Saints jersey and that logo. What's that logo on the on the jersey. I don't know this is the T shirt. I like your hat, very nice. Alright, spruce on the loose piece out peace. Yeah yeah, I heard. Hey. Remember we had an episode where we talked about how much Alexa hates our podcast, that you can't ask the damn thing to play a podcast. Okay, I just said to her, Alexa, right, that means some Alexas went off. Alright, I got us. I got a mini rant here, go for it. When you say the word Alexa, your Alexa responds. That's how it works. Right. Every time Elvis mentions Alexa on the Big Show, we get text messages, Oh my god, my Alexa went off. You set my Alexa off. My alexis going off. Hey, guess what. That's how it fucking works. You don't need to tell us that's your Alexa off. Oh. When I pushed the power button on my TV, the TV comes on. We know that. That's how it works. When I when I come home, my dog box he's happy to see me. Yeah, that's how it works. Okay. When I put my hair dryer on, it blows hot air out and makes a room sound. Yeah, you don't have to tell us your Alexa went off when you hit this podcast. Guess what we know your Alexa went off because I keep saying, Alexa, Alexa, what time is it, Alexa? What's the weather today? Alexa? Do you know what's a handy? You know? I went to a hotel over the weekend, and Alexa is so integrated into the rooms that you can actually just say, Alexa, um, I need I need two bottles of water from the front desk, and Alexa sends a message to the front desk and they come up with it. Alexa, I need new bed sheets. What if you're banking? What if you're banging a girl named Alex in the hotel? Oh yeah, Alexa, kill me, grab my ass and I had grass Alexa, but house keeping him here with the finger you want in your butt? Be careful. This is very cool. That's the Asbury Hotel down and Asbury Park. Shout out to them. Not so close. Not a sponsor. You so want him as a sponsor, though I would love to have them as a sponsor. I spent half my summer there. We talking about summer best for a second again. I just want to go back to this my favorite. Now. Look, everybody was there. All of our our big listeners were there, Henry and Mark. I'm gonna forget fro Henry Davidson j wasn't he was there? Jen wasn't their shame on your jem. But a girl came up to us, and I don't remember her name. There were a couple of people that came up. Sabrini came up and said I, A Heather came up. Megan came up and said I. But there was a girl that came up and she didn't say her name, and I made her, made her say her name because she was like, I sind her name. Oh, Erica came up. But remember the little girl was a short girl. I'm staying short. Yeah, she's sure, how would it? She was short, she had purple hair, yes, And she came over and said I love the Brooklyn Boys. I said thank you so much. As don't worry. I listen to order, almost like she was afraid to not listen to order. And so it's working. You could do whatever you want. Just tell she listen to order, even if you don't know you listen to order. Started boys start end up from zero, nayaha, start end up from zero. Now the whole shows crystal glass. Start end up from zero. Nayaha, start end up from zero. So it makes it what you hear people dare so much crap. You want a hand stott us up from zero? It's our rule. You mustet hair stott us up from zero. Let's be clam stott us stuff from zero. Wall get the fuck out of hand you must, I gotta say Brodie speaking of getting hell out of it from zero and red it up real quick going from zero to sixty zero. What kind of car do you have, Nate, I have a Dodge charger RTE. How fast does it go? Does it go from zero to what? Oh? I don't time it. It's probably like eight or nine seconds zero to sixty and nine seconds? Yeah, yeah something. I started learning about cars and muscle cars from my dad, um, and I gotta say cars from me um. I was. I wasn't part of that era, that muscle car nineteen seventies thing. We had an Oldsmobile cutless Supreme car are eight miles to the gallon, eight miles to the gallon. But I understand it was an eight cylinder car whatever that means, right, eight cylinders, so that's the size of the engine. How many cylinders, but one thing and the torque and all that stuff. When you pressed that gas, you felt like you were moving like whoa. Right. So I remember getting those feelings when I was a kid because that's the car we had. And I don't get that from my cars anymore. No, you go for more style. What I listen. I'm a car guy, right, and so I love cars. I love looking at cars. I love identifying them on the road. I love knowing what kind of engine they have they go. I've just recently become a fan of cars and appreciating them. And hear my adult life. When I was a kid, I didn't give a ship. We had a couple of cars we had, of course back in the day. I was Ford Mustang when I was a kid, Ford Mustang, a victim of the fuel conservation days and so and then. But I learned recently about great cars, and so you know, that's why I choose to have the car that I have. I have a BMW, not a sponsor, not a sponsor. But I'll say who is a sponsor? Our friends at Grand Premotor Premotors, they are sponsors. But we have to acknowledge that we don't have to hit the jingle because these guys are the best. If you're a car person, a car enthusiasts, yes, that's more important. That's the most important part of this. You should visit that, especially if you're in town. There are over on Coney Island Avenue in our hometown of Brooklyn. But you could follow along on the web if you want. We're gonna order a car through that through the web online. You have to go there. But if you go there, yeah, it's Grand Premotors dot com. That's a pre spelled pr i X by the way, um for all your auto auto motive needs, from leasing to servicing. They even have body shop services there. But not when you talk about all your needs. You can not only get all your needs taken care of, you can talk about all the all the cars you have. You you don't have to go like, oh, I'm gonna go get it. I'm gonna go get a Chevy. You go there. You you you lay out the map of what you might want. They tell you the kind of cars that fit that need, and then they do all the price shopping for you. They deal with a bunch of dealerships. You deal with them and they get you the best price within eight hours, you've got the car you want at a great price, without dealing with a lot of different sales people are going from one dealership to another. They also accept trade ins leases, swaps, uh, you know, at least swaps, at least returns of course, and uh they if there's cars that might need repairs and throughout the least assistance in case of accidents. They are there for you, insurance consultations, all your automotive needs in one place. That's so helpful because it's much better than jumping from dealer to dealer and wasting weekends at a time and searching for a car for months. You do it all in one place. It eliminates going from one type of car to another type of car, to two different dealerships. And then once you let's say you want to buy a Toyota, you've narrowed it down. You don't have to go three to the dealerships. You just go to them. I'm gonna give you their phone number seven eight six eight t give him a call. Whether you're in Brooklyn, New York or not, or even anywhere near that. You get it online, whatever, but call them, speak to them, and they'll become your friends, and if you're in the area, I you and I both know there's a bunch of really good pizza places there, So get some pizza, Go, get a car exactly. Now, Brodie, you have some unused jokes from the show. I do have some unused jokes because and then it seems what should we do first? Should I complain about what you did on stage at the Summer Bash or you wanna hear the un news jokes? Well, I want to hear on news jokes first. Let's talk about what you did on stage. Alright, I'm playing the clown car music. Yeah, I want you know, I have this on my sheet here, I didn't get to it, go for it. So this was three flowing podcast. This was early Imagine if you will. You're part of a team. You're on a softball team, but there's only two gloves. So two of you guys go out with gloves. The rest of you have no gloves. And then the inning is over and somebody says to you as you walking into the dugout, here, hold the glove doesn't do any good once the innings over, does it. No, here's what happened. There's like seven of us from the morning show. Elvis wasn't there yet. This was the Elvis was was talking to clients and had mingling with listeners and everything, and they're like, oh, can a bunch of shamos go up on stage and just say hid everybody in do an intro and the whole thing with the Brooklyn Bridge behind us. It was beautiful. And so they're like, we have two microphones. Andrew from Promotions like, we have two microphones. So Danielle and Scary take the microphones. No problem there, and we go out on stage and they're doing their spiel. Let's saying hi to the crowd. We're coming up. We got so social house. They were great, by the way, and Liam Payne's coming up and go get ice cream at this vendor and go get there. We got meat balls, all kinds of great stuff. And he's like, oh, there's Brody, there's Garrett. Quick little intros. That's great. We waved to the crowd and uh they did. Scary did almost all of the talking. Daniel got a couple of words in edgewise, and then like, all right, we'll be right back. And as you're walking off the stage, Scary says to me, did you do you want to say something. We're going down the steps to get off the stage, and he holds the mic out and goes, did you want to say something? Well, the thing is, I'm very boisterous and I'm very omnipresent, because if this studio had one mike, you wouldn't hear me on the podcast. The thing about that is our the way that you know, if you want to say something, says it, say it, jump in because that's how we are here. I mean, we gotta go quick. It's all about the quickness. I kept looking over to everybody. No one's making emotion, no one's given me the eyes. Nobody's like trying to be like okay, or or you are saying that you were looking at any of us. Yes, you were looking at the girls and the guys in the crowd. You were like playing in the crowd. I was, but I was glancing in my periphery. Look at that bridge. How great we have peripheral vision. And I'm like, I guess nobody wants to say anything, So I'm gonna sit here, and I purposely left lulls. We took a breath, that's all. No, I took a lull I'm like, okay, anyone want to jump in, Okay, I'll say the next thing on my mind. Okay, I'll see the next thing. It's just you gotta go for the gush, though, man, Because if the roles were reversed, If the roles were reversed, I would make a motion to you. I would actually mike the give the hey giving me with the hand signal. I would put your hand that you should have done was gone, hold the mic out and go anybody wants the mic make the offer. He can't do that on stage. If if we go to a restaurant and there's a play to big clams, and you take all the big clams and you're eating the big clams, it's up to you to go and one like some big clams. You kept eating off the dish. Then when the dish was empty, the dish was empty. Nope, big clams. You're like, oh, did anyone want to big clams on the eye an them all? And you've done that. You do that ship at restaurants. How many times have I said, hey, scary, can you pass something? And you go, yeah, hold on, you take it on. You up played first and then you pass it. What's wrong with that? Not it's on the way. You aren't even gonna eat them. We were past the big clams, and you're like, oh, big clams, Like you hadn't thought about it, but they were coming in your direction. You'll eventually get clams. I left clams for you. Yeah, but you took three so what But you weren't eating the clams. They were at a table, doesn't matter. It was the salt. You're like, oh, let me salt. Maybe I wanted clams but they were too far away, but I figured out why I'm getting them for you take three ft too far away. Yet you were able to pick the clams up and pass them to me after you served yourself. If I really wanted them, so what was I supposed to do? Then take the big clams, pass them to you. Right, you take your clams and then you pass them back today. So as you pass and you go, hey, let me get those when you're done. Here you go. But that's already in my possession. Why don't they did that much closer to my poll? You could have said, do you mind if I take one? I'm like, no, help yourself. You're like, oh, oh, Brody wants clams, big clams right here? Big clams, big clams. But I still passed it to you and you got your clams. What if the three clams you took were the three clams I had my eye on the end, result is still the same. You've got clams. No, you got your big clam. Everybody at the table when oh, yeah, it's tapling out there. No this etiquette, she'll tell you. And no, it doesn't matter. As long as the plate is on its way to you. It's in transit, it's getting there. Hold on, if you agree with me, I want you to tweet me and scary clamsham hashtag clam sham cup with this man. No, you passed them and then you come back and get them, that'll take them. I've never heard of that about like the same thing with just spaghetti. I asked you, that's an extra motion, because here's what's gonna that's worse what you did with the spaghetti. Because the clams, you're like, you pushed them on your plate. The spaghetti you put down in front of you. You took two big tongues spoon things, and you're like, hold on, Brody, put on your plate. Then you put some back. Now I'm getting scary plate spaghetti. You put it back because you had too much of the tongues. You passed me spaghetti, some of it was already on your plate. That's not that's not right now. Your parents didn't raise you that way. If if food is in transit from one end of the table to the to the other, it's okay that the food passes by. And as it's passing by, I shove a couple on my plate because it's close to my plate. Then you take yours, and then you put the plate down in the in the open spot on the table rather than passing the fucking plate all the way back to the thanks too much time? What if it's Thanksgiving? I love the turkey leg. I'm a big fan of the leg, right big leg man. Love it. It's like a handle. I feel like King Henry the eight thirt Whatever doesn't matter. Don't tweet me. So if I say, hey, hey, Steve, can you pass me the turkey plate and he passed me the turkey plate to Joe to fill to you, and you go, oh, turkey leg, you take the turkey leg that's coming to me, then I get it and I'm like, oh, I gotta eat a wing now. No, there's another leg. There's one leg left in this story, because you're making the leg left in this story for the convenience, because the wounded in the war has one. This is just the way you're If the turkey was born and one leg, it happens. No, dude, you let me tell you something you always this is. This is classic Broody right here. Want the listeners to know this classic Brody makes it. Brody makes the fuck it's called an analogy. No, he makes his analogies. He makes these stories, and he tells them and and he sets up the scenarios that will only put him in the best life and make him the winner. Every fucking turkey has two legs. And by the way, every Thanksgiving table, I've seen the turkey legs and the last thing left on the plate. So there's a good chance there's a great chance that both turkey legs were left. So even if I took one, you could have had the other. One. Story I'll do. I'll do the story again. Ready, where the Thanksgiving table, there's the turkey neck. I like the turkey neck. Turkey has how many necks? One? I say, eddie past the turkey neck. He goes to Bob goes to Phil, are you take the turkey neck? Then it gets to me, there's no turkey neck cause you took it when you knew I was asking to pass it for the turkey neck. You took the turkey neck. Fuck you? You know what? Heart? What if I took the heart? You know what? You don't have a heart. I have a heart. You have no heart, so you don't get a heart. And you took my clams. There was some left dog. There's plenty of clock. And if I'm in a baseball game and I'm sitting three rows behind you and I order a hot dog and the guy says, hey, could you pass that back? Are you gonna take a bite of my hot dog because it's there? No, because that's a singular piece of food that belongs that that's for you, Like the big clams I asked for? Clams are individual? Do you think the bottom line is? You're a Mike Hog? Not a Mike Hog? Just share the mic? You didn't. I'm just you know, I'm just forward and I'm quick. But what was gonna keep up with me? Explain to me and everyone, Explain to me. Explain to me and everybody listening. What was the point as we're leaving the stage of handing the mic to me as I have to hand it to Andrew. We're done, bro Did you want to say anything? What was the point of that? It was more of an expression like I was shocked that you didn't want to say anything. I'm like, wow, Brodie was quiet the whole time on stage. Did you know what words you would have used? Wow? Brody surprised you don't want to say anything? No, you said, did you want to say something? And you went to hand me the mic? They already turned them off at that point. We're already up stage. The lights of spotlights were off right by. Did you want to say something? Yeah? How about right now in the back? I just want to figured for next time. Maybe I could have broke up next time and you could have said something next time. I don't know, man. You know all I could say is you love you love the stage. Man. If the roles were reversed, I would have made sure I got my mic. I would have gotten on the mic. Yeah, because either way you want the mic. No, but either way you would have got bro to give it up mic. It's because I know how to jump in at the appropriate times, you have to be the beginning assertive. Yeah, when they were handing up Mike, I'll take aggressive if you're not aggressive, dude, Early bird gets to worm and the clams and the turkey legs and the turkey neck. You know how it is. I don't mean to to bring up like old like kindergarten fucking sayings, but it goes back to that, like sharing. In kindergarten, they teach sharing, right, I'm sharing my clams. Eventually, when you took something out, early bird, what's the difference with which order? It doesn't matter what this is? Like, Brodie, scary scary Brodie. It's it's like it's like that, It's like, that's exactly That's exactly it right there? Does it matter which order that we get served in? Is as long as there's food to go around. When you take an extra three minutes taking the spaghetti and then putting some spaghetti back, I don't get back splash and back. I don't get spaghetti from my plate. Nobody wants back spaghetti, nobody does. How do you even do that? How do you because you take like three pounds and you go, oh, it was all stuck together. When you realize how long it was. You're like, oh, I gotta raise my arms really high, and you PLoP it down your plate and you go, that's too much. I look like a govone. I look like a pig. And you take some from the top and you put it back. You did it. You are so petty. I'm not petty. Have you ever thought about like maybe getting your head examined? Yeah? I thought about it. No doctor wants to be near me. What does your brain look like? I don't know, like all like lights on it, like like all these you know, and there's always something going on. Yeah, all kinds of creasy. I'm firing at all cylinders. Way to like talking about white Castle later? I got later. Why don't we talk about him? No? No, you want to unused jokes? Yeah, you switched me sitch all right, as Scary tells you every episode, even though you're listening in order. These are jokes that wrote for members of the Morning Show that didn't get used on the ELM Street Morning Show, some for good reasons, some for no good reason. We did a store. Uh we were talking about things stuck in your body, like things you're putting your body got stuck. The woman called up and she said he fell asleep in school as a kid and a pencil was in her hand and it would write up her nose when her head went down, and there's still part of a pencil in her head and they don't know how to get the pencil out. And it's lead. You have lead poisoning. Now, if you're a rock fan, you'll get this joke. I said, go down to the rock station. They get the lead out every Tuesday. That's funny, but it's funny us, not for people that don't know what that is. You get the lead out is when the rock station plays like five led Zeppelin songs, they get the lead out, they get it out. We didn't get to that joke. Uh Did I do the the the regional wedding traditions. No, So we were talking on the show about different parts of the country do different things. In in the Northeast we give cash. In the South they don't give cash. There were different traditions. So the joke I wrote was, oh, it's a bronx wedding, traditional bronx wedding. After the wedding, the bride gives birth. Elvis did not want to do that. That's funny. It is funny. Uh, back to things stuck in your body. A guy called up and said he got he had an oyster stuck in his throat. An oyster stuck in his throat. So my joke was, I had two jokes, all shucks and that shucks either one shock joke. We didn't get to play on words. Those are simple puns. We love those, love those. Uh. Now you had a joke for this topic, if you still have it, Uh, post malone was almost in a plane accident, right, the tires blue whatever, and uh they had to make an emergency landing. So the joke that we did use Elvis said, I'll post malone, but don't worry. He's better now because that's his big song. Yeah. The other second one I wrote was, uh yeah, it was he flying a private jet because he's he's a rock star. Another song title. And then I did one. Uh, well, you know it must have been crazy thinking you might die. I bet you he went Psycho didn't get to that one. What was yours? No, there was a different topic. It wasn't you know what it was all right? And I remember a couple of weeks ago we talked about what was that guy's name? Um, asshole. What was his name? Asshole? Yeah, that his name sounds like an s oh shole Hess. Oh jack Hess, Jacks jack Hess is a recording artist. Yeah, I was saying it sounds like Jacks Jack. Yes, if you're drunk him. So yesterday on the Big Show, we had Jack and Jack have a new song out, and they came with a d E. J. Who was becoming very very very famous named Jonas Blue, the guy from the record labels here Crazy Joe Rainey. And uh, he said, oh, you know, he just walked in and he goes, oh, he goes Jonas Blue, and I yelled, he needed the money. That's a little boy Blue. He needed the money. So I think if your last name is Blue, you're gonna get those jokes. And then there was a story that came out that two chains, Uh yeah, he got married, So I I wrote, oh, two chains got linked now and then the jokes should have been, oh he's he's now got the old ball in two chains. That was done on the air. But was that was done that the joke, that's the joke that was done. The linked joke is and the two chains got linked. This is the one that was unused. This is called unused jokes. Correct the segment, but this is an unused joke, and then like it. All right, we'll go for yourself, all right, nobody else will. I mean the good one got used, So that's all that matters because that was the better material anyway. All right, Um, so we have some have a menu here of things. What do you got? What you want? I wanted? I want an email. I wanted to talk about, um, the fact that I'm getting so much hate, not not hate, people making fun of me because we're working out. I came out of scary Jones. That's another reason. That's something we've got to see results any day, I'm sure. But I'm going I'm going to Hawaii and there's a hurricane here. There's a hurricane Hawaii, beautiful place. Yeah, you're going on a cruise, going on a cruise, A Norwegian cruise. Hit the jingle bitch hit it on the Pride of America. But it's important to know to paint the picture. Okay, it could have been the ship because next week we're on vacation. No, I'm a big fan of Norwegian. We love Norwegian, and and all of a sudden, everybody's always saying, hey, scary, get out of your comfort zone. Stop going to Vegas in Miami, in l A and the Bahamas. Go somewhere different. So I said, you know what, I've never been in Hawaii, and I have this great opportunity to go on Pride of America they have. They start in Honolulu and they go island hopping from island to island. I looked it up. It's amazing. It's beautiful, beautiful, seven day cruise from Norwegian. And I'm like, you know what, I think I'm gonna go. Yeah, I'm gonna take my entire vacation and I'm gonna go. Now. You told me about my girl and a half weeks ago we're going. I remember I started, remember because I was I was a shop right, not a sponsor, a little shopping and you called me. You're like, hey, man, I want to let you know I can't do the you know we're gonna be away that week. I'm going to Hawaii. So you've had this for weeks, yes, And I was excited. I'm planning excursions. I got Robin saying like, oh, let's do it. We'll do a helicopter volcano. I think mostly stopped all that that about the volcano, right, and in his inactive volcanoes you can see it is beautiful. Yeah, I'm not gonna go zip lining. But however, yeah, there's a Category four hurricane. It yesterday's four now but it's hitting that direct hit to freaking Hawaii all the islands of But it's happening now Thursday, Auguste as we speak, I don't get there until Sunday. So but why why am I fucked every time I do that? You know? Last August I went to Cabo San Lucas. I got about a day and a half of sunshine before a tropical storm rolled in. And then the ceiling was fucking leaking like buckets on the floor with water dripping, and I had to change hotel rooms and then one hotel lost lost its power when they transferred us to their sister property. My August vacation last year was fucking miserable because we were in an isolated We were in a thunderstorm, a tropical storm that really only affect did Cobbo San Lucas. It didn't even make headlines really here in the States. You probably don't even know about it. But it was a storm that was given a freaking one of those names. Once it's given a name, you know, it's kind of serious. So I was sitting there in this damn thing and I'm like, fuck, I'm like, that was the end of that. That was the end of my vacation. Now I know you'd be it might be like rich people problems, all white people problems. Stop it, stop it, stop it. I'm allowed to have these problems. We were all allowed to have. Don't think it's a racial thing. No, No, I'm allowed to have. You know what, what do they call it? Just problems? Just just first world problems everybody, everybody, whatever level of life you're at, everything could be. Everything hurts. If I kick you in the leg, you're not gonna go, well, my leg hurts. But there's people who have, uh, you know, a scurvy. You know it's the first world problem. Hurts. Yes, it is the first world problem. By the way, I went with scurvy because I don't want to offend anybody with like it's okay for me to have a first world problem. I'm having a first world problem. So yes, So that happened to me last summer, and now I'm going right into the eye of the storm. Now and on a ship. But I know that Norwegian is gonna make sure it's a big ship. It's a huge ship. And not only that, but they're not gonna put me in harm's way. So you just have to land somewhere, right, you gotta fly into Hawaii. I'm gonna get into Maui. Yeah, but the water is gonna be brown. I'm sure the current is gonna be and things are gonna be ripped apart, and don't take I'm not gonna do the rotana. But the thing is, my friends are now sitting here on social media like making fun of me, you know. But I'm like, you know what, by the time I get there, it should be it should be gone. I'm gonna text my movie theater buddy, the one I've mentioned a bunch of times. Um, I'm gonna see if he's okay. He was in Hawaii. I don't know if he came home yet. Oh God, is he really so? Anyway? Um, hurricanes are serious things. We we you know, if anybody knows anyone living there, I mean that's you know. We we wish the best to everybody, But people run away from hurricanes. Over the people that live on the island. You know, there's gonna be some serious issues, I'm sure, with food, with with you know, all the serious stuff is part of the compass, of course, but all that aside. Yeah, YadA YadA, you're going there, Oh, I'm going. And you're gonna be buffeting in the storm. You're gonna be You're gonna be hanging out in by the by the pool. You may not be hanging out by the pool. You may not want to hang out by the pool. You may want to stay in the cabin. That's what I'm saying, right the stateroom whatever it is. Cabin, What is a cabin? That's how much you spend. Well, anyway, I'm supposed to. The storm's gonna clear, and I'm gonna get to see Hawaii for the first time in my life. And I'm so excited because this is now new terrain for me. And and I hear that Hawaii isn't just about grass skirts and coconut boobs, the coconut shell you know, they put the coconut shell bikinis on them stuff, And they have these grass skirts and they put lays, you know, and you wear these rose crowns and stuff off those rows. They I don't. I'm really the flower crowns right, that's there, and whatever it is. I plan on doing Hawaii and and doing the right thing, and going to good restaurants if I can, if they're open, if they have food left for me. But man, oh man, I can't catch a break now, two summers in a row with scary summer vacation. Yeah, listen, Hawaii has not been hit with a storm like this in like a century, right, what are the odds? At least two to one? So, uh, it's not like you had any way of knowing. I just would be a little bit terrified. Yeah, so you're you're, you're, you're Actually, my friends are saying, because the ships can't get to the dock if this is a hurricane, the safest place for a ship is out at sea. Because if if you put a ship, like if this is a hurricane coming, the first thing to do is a ship squad to sea. Oh yeah, why is that? Well, because if you stayed by the dock, you end up on the land. The ship will literally the water will rise and the ship will go right up onto the land. You'll never get a cruise ship off the land. You gotta get out in the war order where the water will help slow your momentum down. And then if the water rises in the ocean, the boat just goes up with it. But if you have a boat near the wall, near the land, near the beach, you always see the boats up on the on the land. What do you think it's gonna happen? The things tied to a dock is gonna flip over and go right onto the land. The wind's gonna take it and destroy it. That's why you about to see. This seems the safest place, not that it's always the safest place in the world. Could you imagine the kind of waves that things is gonna hit? Yeah, but the boats a couple hundred feet high, so you know you should be fine. But it's gonna be a bumpy ride. You know. I'm hoping it's over by the time I get there. I hope well have passed. I don't know. I'm getting a little concerned. At first time, I wasn't alarmed, but now my friends are like teasing me in this group chat. By the way, group chats, group chats and nothing but people piling on jokes and memes and balls. And then I go, could you please take me out of this. And that's worse. You know, I have you ever been, You've been a part of the group chat and you just have to leave the group because I'm not talking about the ones that we have for the show that are constructive and have to do with work. But Brodie, think about this for a second. I can't stand the work. But when you're friends, when you've got just a group of people in a chat that you happen to be on, the ones that never ends of just you and your friends. All they gotta do is get one idea in your head. And these guys know that where I'm going. They're like, oh, he's going to Hawaii, and then like they screenshotting pictures of like what's going on there. They're sending me Titanic memes. I mean, these guys are ruthless. They're ruthless. I want to exit this chat right now. You just gave me, You just inspired me. You don't need people get giving you. The thing is, I don't need this infe and they will individually pick on you. Yeah, I don't need this stress. I don't need people. Need to shut then up. You need to go to Hawaii. Survived that storm, watch out for the cow flying by, Like in Twister, I'm gonna read you a text from one of my buddies. Oh is your buddy your buddy Dave? Everybody Dave. Dave is the vocal one, him and Falco. He and Falco the two of the motherfucker's. Uh. He's like, uh, where where is it? Uh, I'll go. The guy that's saying I'm a dais adds, Yeah, they're sending me. Yeah, it's scary. May want to postpone his cruise. It's hurricane season, worse time to do a cruise. That's why they give those things away for free this time of year. Ha ha ha. And then like he's joking around, of course, and then uh, he's saying, uh, President declared state of emergency for Hawaii. He's screenshotting that to me, and then he's um, yeah, screen. And then then then there's all these gifts that they're sending. Gifts. Gifts you don't say, jeffs, don't try to be cool. Whatever, it's a gift. I don't care what the guy invented it said. Fuck him, all right, whatever gifts, I'm ignoring. I just left the chat. I don't ask you a question. If the guy who invented memes comes out tomorrow and says, Hey, man, I invented memes. I'm the meme Guy'll let you know it's pronounced mence. It's pronounced me. You're like, oh, you're gonna call him meme, Yeah, because that's what you remember. Right. This bridge is in our area that we people have been pronouncing wrong for a hundred years, and then it's not gonna change now. People have been calling the Kashusco Bridge the Kaskiasco Bridge. I'm one of them, right. People have been calling the Van Wick Expressway, which is really Van White General Van White White or whatever, Da've been calling the Gothels Bridge. No, I think it's gounce. Point is, if I'm not going to change the way I say a bridge, well my whole life. It's a gift. The G is for graphic g graphic, So I'm not going to change it to Jeff. When the G stands for graphic graphic, that a cereal. Right. If the G stood for giraffe, I'll give you a gift. Right, giraffe infested file done, by the way, Don't you hate when you get drafts in your files? Anyway, So it's a fucking gift. By the way, Jeff is a peanut butter And speaking of peanut butter, it's re is peanut butter cups, not Rece's. It's not Rec's PCs, Rece's PCs, but a lot of people from Philly call it Rece's. Hey, you're not six Philly. It's fucking racist reesist peanut butter cups their pieces that were owned by Mr Reese. There Reese's pieces is an apostrophe SR. It's not Rec's. And what's a PC? What's what's a PC? Is? Right? A PC is a computer that I don't use. I love PCs. By the way, By the way, if six months Amow you're listening to the Overstrained Morning Show and he's secured doing commercial for a PC computer, just know that it's not it's not legit, and that I should have gotten the account because I love PC computers. Called him out on rec owned by that fucking s to the Walmart it's one that's not the Walmarts. It's not Bonds and Nobles. It's wa Mark, not Walmart's. It's Barns and Noble, one guy named Barnesmart, one guy named Noble. Right, I gotta go to targets. No, there's only one. By the way, in the inverse of that, if you live in a town, will you put the words the I may have said this before. Will you put the words thought in front of where you're going if you live in a small town. If you say you're going to the Burger King, if you live in a small town. Of course, I got four Burger Kings in my town. Four you got if you can go like, I'm going to the Starbucks. Dude, there's three Starbucks in Manhattan. You can't go. I'm going to the Starbucks. Which one? The one, which one, the one on the north side of the street, which one the one on the left? Okay anyway, Yeah, don't add SSEs. But look, if that's your thing. Look, we just went on and on on about how we're not changing the way we say gift Jeff whatever, van Wyck van Wyke. If you grew up and you heard Walmart's, I get it. But that's like a wrong thing. He's changed that. If we were wrong, we're not changing it. But if you're wrong, gun, we still love you. Though. Although I will say Reese's PCs sound cute, It sounds cute, but it's not right, and we want to be right. We aimed to be right on this show whatever. Speaking of being right, do you know who invented the hot dog? Yeah? Sure I do. Feltman's Charles Feltman. Most people think, well, they don't Nathan, Well, they associate initially when whether that's not right. Nathan Nathan handworker. Nathan worked for Charles Feltman. Charles Feltman invented the hot dog in eighteen sixty seven. Okay, and Nathan worked for him. It's very simple. Nathan then said, well, I got the recipe, I got this, and that I'm out. I'm gonna start my own gig. So Nathan went to start Nathan's and as you know that the stories you know, became history. But I personally like, wait a second, I want to try hot dogs from the original the man who made him eighteen sixties seven, Charles Feltman, and now we have an opportunity to do that. They're back. Because they're back, they're back in Coney Island as a brick and mortar. They're also on the lower East Side marks right mark Place, but they're also so the East Village. Sorry, but they're also available online Amazon dot com jet dot com. You can get them there. You can also get them at UM. What do you call um? How about their website? Du Feltman's of Coney Island dot com. F E L T. M A N S of Coney Island dot com. Now they came up here and Brody and I, I gotta say I had three in like they were. I felt like I was in a hot dog eating competition. Were outrageous hot dog they were outrageous. I had a bunch of them, um, and you know what I like about them? I gotta be honest because I always make fun of you for those kind of thing. Do you do here? It comes? But when people talk about hot dogs, they're like, who knows what they're putting in hot dogs? Feltman's hot dogs all natural, no nitrates, no fillers, no unnatural ingredients. That's so important because you're not gonna get that claim from other hot dogs, but Feltman's will. So you know you're eating a cleaner hot dog with no unnatural ingredients in there, no nitrates, and they're not too salty. That's the That's also you're not gonna start like chugging glasses of water after this stuff. You want to you want a superior hot dog to impress your guests, especially with Labor Day weekend on the way. Hello, stock them. Stock your your freezer with Feltman's prepackaged prepackaged hot dogs. Get them online. They're also eat them fast. Go to uh if you have a Fairway near you, or Morton Williams or Mrs Green's, you got them there. Guess what, I have a freaking Morton Williams and literally the first floor of my apartment I could sit. I could go with my underwear and my flip flops and my T shirt and never have to see the light of day and go right take an elevator right down to the ground floor. From my heart. But if you don't, go to Feltman's Carnal dot com pick up some great hot dogs. It's full Labor day and now it's time for some email. Read your email because I got three more things I'm pissed about. That sounds like it's welcome. You've got mail, And of course you could always email us at the Brooklyn Boys Podcast at gmail dot com. We love you, Thank you so much for all your feedback. Guys love the show. Been a listener since episode zero and listening to your podcast talking about kids names and I gotta tell you a teacher's assistant, I have uh, she's a teaching assistant. She has a list of names ready for this one. There were these brothers in the middle school I worked in and phonically sounded a s h z O l E, but it was spelled asshole. So ashzhole is how you pronounced this kid's name, but it was it was spelled asshole. And then his brother phonically sounded the brother of asshole was shah Feed, but it was spelled ship headed. So asshole and ship had were brothers, and they was spelled asshole and ship head, but they were pronounced as ash Zholi. And Shati said, dude, is this real? I don't know. I've seen asshole and ship had brothers on TV a lot these days. There were these. There were twins s h A r O N and the twin sister not Sharon, so Sharon and not Sharon. Another set of twins, Matthew and Matthews. Those are just a few of the names that I thought would pique your interest. That's from Rachel g on Facebook, and I gotta believe that that's real. I got a tweet I want to read real quick from Flora Laura May one to three four. Good job, I wonder what her passport is. Uh, she wrote. Before I knew about free dessert at David Brody, I complained to a theme park about an experience I had in May. Didn't intend to get anything for free, but they gave me two free passes two us later. Brodie, all right, whatever works, whatever you know. Yeah, I want to give us. Especially by the way, speaking of marijuana, it's only the cousin of marijuana. What it's CBD is that it CBD oil. Yeah, So cb D comes from hemp, not marijuana. And by the way, calming effect, relaxing, and it takes away anxiety. It doesn't have t HC. It doesn't make you high. But I feel like, even with all the explanations, with all the no no, no, no, no no, it's not that it's this, it's the cousin, it's not it's okay, I still feel like it's drugs. I still feel like because now it is a bunch of restaurants and bars in New York that are making food and drinks. You go to bars, now, you'll give you a little CBD gin and tonic. Or I was at a I was at a festival last week and they had these bottles of cold brew coffee. Yeah, that was laced with CBD oil and it was CBD oil coffee. So you get the caffeination of coffee, so you feel awake, but you don't get jitters. And it keeps you mellow and smooth and relaxed and even keel with the CBD orm You know me, I'm already even killed and mellow all the time. So oh yeah, you you're You're not excitable easily? Can't wait till Thursday. That's from Diane thank you tweet from Yo L brawl the r U l L could be brule uh while hashtag listening in order the second time. I'm an episode twenty three and I'm again dying to know what that joke was. You didn't want to do, okay, So here's a couple of things you well, I'm saying, bro. For a of all, I don't remember the joke. I do not remember. I just remember it was it would have cost me my job with my company had I told the joke. I don't remember at this point. Uh. So I apologize you well, but I can't help you at that, Bro, But I love that you're listening again and in order Stephen Massia steak dinner. First of all, Brody and Elvis are wrong. It's not your fault. You were comped the dinner. He got a steak dinner. I've lost a lot of respect for Brody due to his this controversy. I'll still listen the Scary and David show what you love the Brooklyn Boys. Stephen Massia taking my side on this steak dinner debac. Oh, it looks like A seventy seven has some competition. Alex Boga. I also wrote to the Facebook fan page, and I gotta check these fan page a little bit more often. I want to watch the show in order listen to the yeah, but I Heart Radio makes it difficult. I have to scroll all the way down to get that first episode, and after it's over, it doesn't ort to play the next two. So this is frustrating. Zero would go to This is so frustrating it deserves a rant. I'm trying. I'm in fighting with I Heart Radio for a while. Now. I know you can't ran about I Heart Radio on air. We look, I love I Heart Radio. It's our app, it's from our camp. It's not perfect, and we know it. We're working on getting the reversal thing. You guys are the best melt, all the snow flakes and scary. You already paid Brody your steak dinner death. Oh that's why you're reading that one. All right, I'm gonna read anybody's spelled steak s T A k A. Right, Okay, hold on, I want to watch in order help a Brooklyn boy fan out order Yamaha steaks. If you do by the way. That underscore? She's starting with an underscore? Oh my god, No, l I easy, l Ann Lane, just listening to this podcast. The whole origin of the State Dinner was to thank Brodie for his efforts and have a nice bonding experience. If Scary paid for Brodie's dinner but made Brodie eat by himself, or if Scary ends up getting food comped, it doesn't fulfill the promise. Hashtag team Brody. Alright, well we agree to disagree. Alright, and then, um, I got one. I have three things to complain about, but I'm gonna I'm gonna save him episode fifty. Okay, so next week you're gonna hear I'm gonna bitch about white Castle. Yep, I'm gonna bitch about the wise ass gutter cleaning company. I'm gonna the rip off exterminator. And I just want to say for all you people over the last two weeks who asked us what happened to the Chinese food rent? Come on, man, come on now, you know better than that, you know that, you know what we do. You know you know? Oh, come on, get mostly because we're from Brooklyn. Boys the rent, You're gonna do it.
That's not like most sales off and you pay seventy five off. You pay the twenty five. This will be hundreds of dollars if you bought this in a regular store or all by itself piecemeal.
