Speaker 1: Start up, dot Up, start Up Brooklyn Ban scary, what up making noise? Got up? Dude, dot up Brooklyn Boys, Brotiant scary. Wait, that's the Red's supposed to start talking until that part right there? Yeah, boys, welcome episode number five. I'm David Brody, Scary Jones bringing up three here? What's going on? What are you doing? Nothing? We always argue over whose name should come first? Happy fifth anniversary? Why? Thank you? Brodie? What did you get me? I got your podcast you did, I got your list of complaints, I got your song I'm gonna make you listen to. I got a bunch of stuff. I'm happy. I'm happy. I'm actually we're going on vacation. Actually, yeah, I know how great you's tarting to get into vacation mode. Yeah, so there will not be an episode six the week of what's next week? Week, the week of the twenties whatever, But here's it. But well, I gotta tell you, the girls have an acquired taste podcast. Are making us look bad because they're going to issue an acquired taste podcast next week while we're on vacation. Well we could do another one tomorrow and then release another one and then release it next week. We could do that. Well, that's what the girls are doing. But the problem with that is I don't know. I mean, I got stuff. I gotta do three of them, so they got extra people. Yeah, but still, but Brodie, I don't know. Are we doing a disservice by not offering a podcast for next week on one on vacation Because to me, I was always told that vacation means vacation. So if you work forty eight weeks out of the fifty two a year, you're only responsible for forty to work. If you work at a let's say, uh, car manufacturing plant, you don't make twice as many cars the week before you go on vacation and then say, use these ten miles this next week. So while you're work in a restaurant, you don't cook a couple of extra diitiones a chicken palm and go, hey, heat does up next week while I'm out. Kathleen commit here for she can't. She she's too busy posting next week's podcast exactly, So I want I wanted to get her opinion on this because I think that they're doing, like you know, they're working while they're on vacation. So when we go on vacation on the Walkers and Talkers podcast, Yeah, do you offer? Do you offer a podcast a week that you're off? Okay, So if I'm on vacation, if I don't go away, I'll call in and my co host Jamie will record in her studio and we'll do a podcast. If she goes on vacation, then I get a co host and we do a podcast. But if we both go on vacation or the shows are on vacation that we review, then we don't do a show, right, Like I wouldn't do this without you, and you wouldn't do this like when I went away to Disneyland, disney World. Sorry, I wasn't going to call in from disney World if I'm sitting on my couch, Yeah, I'm calling. But but you're going all over the place. Yeah. But I'm gonna be in Vegas tomorrow, which we'll get to in a second, and then I'm gonna go I got a problem, San Lucas, followed by Newport, Rhode Island Weekend. Okay, So, so if so as a as a companion to this podcast, make sure you listen to the fifteen minute morning show from August because it will. So we started the fight about the boxing fight that Scary is we're gonna talk about. And then we talked about the Cabbo virus because Scary is going to Cabo San Lucas. Cabba Wabo is a bar owned by Sammy Hagar. Steven Tyler. No, it's Sammy Hagar. Sammy Hagar, Sammy Hagar from Van Halen and Montrose and his own solo career. Okay, so oh, now the current lead singer before anyone corrects me of chicken Foot with Joe Satriani my favorite guitar player. Oh my god, who knows this stuff? I do? And you know what I bet you? I bet you Omar and Dan No and they're gonna Pauli Pavilion. They're gonna He's gonna know. I'll tell you what I will tell you. I acknowledge Joe Satriani as probably the greatest guitar player there ever was. He Uh, he's my favorite. He good? Is he that? He's fast? He's very he's fast. It's not about speed, though, It's about the melodies he rites and the riffs and all the you know what. Joe Satriani grew up in Long Island, New York. These are some names you may may not know. But he also he taught Steve I how to play and Steve is considered one of the greatest guitar players in the world. He was his music teacher. And you know who else Joe start trying to try to play guitar. Kirk Hammett, the lead guitars from Metallica. Oh I didn't know that also took guitar lessons from in San Francisco from Joe Satriani. Yeah. By the way, as we were talking there, Kathleen, after she gave me the stop signal. Yeah, very basic coming here. She yeah. Now now we've looked over and you missed it. She walked out of the resource. She did. She left the radio station with her bag on her giant bag like she's going to the beach. And she left. So she's gone for the day. Well see, here's why she has time to do another podcast for next week. Why she leaves early, leaves early so she can go get her life done. We stay here all day and we have all the responsibilities. We did this podcast. Now they want another one one okay, well listen just so you know, because it is the end of summer here when you might not be listening to this at the end of the summer, but it is right now, so I'm gonna speak about it as if it's the present tense. Um, I get a little lazy. The last two pairs of sneakers I bought, we're shoes without laces. So I have these sneakers that I bought that you could just slip into. They're nice, they're cool, they're these converse ones. And then I bought a pair of vans. But I'm like, I just don't I'm not I'm not interested in bending over. Okay, I'm not asking, but I'm not a different I'm not interested in like like like like bending over and tying my shoes. I'm that lazy that I bought two pairs of sneakers that require nothing more than just putting them on the floor next to each other and slipping my feet into. Well. Two things. One, I have my laces tied the exact tightness required to keep them on my feet, but also enabling me to slip into them. So wait, so you will take them fully, you know. I think I do the same thing with all the rest of my shoes. It's like my ties. Once I make a tie, I loosen it and I hang it up the way it's made. Then I just next time, I just slide it back on and tighten it. That's a great idea. But but when you tie your shoelaces, do you have fat guy laces? So you don't know it's my theory of fat guy laces. Okay, fat guy laces. Okay, No, when you're in shape, right, when you're an athlete, you work out unlike us. Right when you bend down, you bend down straight on your knee, and you you bend your arms over your leg and you tie your shoelace. That's when you're a fat guy. You bend your leg over your other leg and you tie it off to the side. And so when guys are out of shape, their laces are off to the left or off to the light. Because when when you're because your your leg is on your left knee, there is no way to pull it so it's straight no matter how much you're the other direction you're tying, you're tying your other shoe with with right, so you put your right foot on your left knee like you're crossing your legs to sit down. And you tie your laces, but inevitably they're off to the left, and then when you put your left foot on the top of your right knee, the laces off to the right. So this center because to bend over with your belly into your leg like I can't. I can't do this, So you're like, I just put my leg on. So from now on, every time I see a heavy person, get his laces to see the only the only way around that is to loose. To tie your laces with your shoe off, and you have to keep your shoe really loose so you can slide your foot in, or you do it Brody does, and that slip on, slip off with the with the shoes already tied, right you get or you get a long shoehorn and you just shoot it on. God, I've never seen more. When you're while you're thin, tie all your laces and then you can gain weight. It doesn't matter exactly. But if you're fat, it's fat guy laces. That's what I'm doing right now as I journey through my year. How you are you have laces? Now? I got no? I told you I got no laces right now you don't, So you don't have a fact. I don't have fact. I got looking at my right shoe and it's a little to the left. I got lazy guys slide and slide at but so so because it is the summer and it is we are getting you know, it is the end of the summer. So I'm doing that. And I'm doing something that I that I always tell myself I would never do, and that is show up to work with scruff um I had. I was clean shaven, and you know me, I used to I shave like every day. I have to shave every day because I'm at a hairy beast, you know, so that you don't ye so but look at this, Brodie. It's the end of the summer, and I'm feeling lazy. I'm like, that's scruff right now, but barely, but I can barely see it. Here's the problem. I go three four days and this really comes in. This is two days worth of scruff. The issue with this, Brodie is when I I look at pictures, I look at the guys like Drake. I look at guys like you know people out there, you know in the media, and they've got the coolest freaking scruff going it's like it's even it's dark, it's it's all the lines are perfect. I'm like, man, maybe if I go to three or four days without shaving, I look like those dudes. But that's not scruff. That's a that's a perfectly quafft beard that they've shaved down and keeping it under control. It almost takes them more time. Like, that's not Trivago guy scruff. Like Trovago guys like, look at me, I didn't shave right. Drake is like, look at me. I paid a guy a thousand dollars to make it look like right. But the thing is I wanted to look like that. Plus, I'll be honest, And Drake's skin is darker than yours, and so when you and I get scuffed, it looks like black dots all over our face. That doesn't look I'm like certain you got a little salt and pepper going on here. Yeah, yeah, I'm saying, Drake, Drake's I don't know what. It doesn't matter all. Drake, don't tweet me. I don't care. But Drake is young, he doesn't have gray hair coming in, and he's got that nice complexion and his hair is always gonna give it. Some people actually diet and they make it perfect. The thing is, it takes more work to do that. By the way, I wouldn't diet because it sounds like diet d I e t And I don't want to do that either, right, So yeah, but I don't know. Here's my problem. I to the opposite of yours. I grow a beard very quickly. Yeah, you look at my face. What you have is like, by noon, I have that on my face. So I have like I didn't because we're going on vacation. I haven't shaved. I'm not gonna shave. It's like for the first day, maybe two, it's like, oh, Rose, a little scruff going, We're gonna But by day seven I don't. I don't own a razor that trims it down. So my option is grow it until it looks like a beard and then just like scissor it off and then shave it off. I don't have a beard groomer because I'm not a beard guy, and I don't want to spend the money for you know. So, so so how do how do guys like us who don't necessarily look good with scruff, like deal with being lazy? You can't it's just better to just shave. Shave it all off. What I try to time my shaving. And I'm sorry ladies of this boring you, but look if you do, if you guys shave in time, you're shaving too when you have a date. What do you understand? So I'll shave Sunday night for Monday, and then I'll shave like who's the night for Wednesday. But then by Thursday, I'm not shaving because the weekends only two days away and I can let it go until Saturday. Well that's what I'm doing right here. I'm letting it go because then I'm gonna get a haircut. I'm going on vacation. I'm hit the reason button, alright, But I'll take entire the entire time off and not shaved. But I'm gonna look like ask because I wanted to look like I see with people in the media that that are professionally groomed. But it will never be like that. It'll be uneven and salt and pepper, and I look twelve years older than I really am. I look happy for the Drake look I wouldn't. Yeah, I end up looking fucking tired. You look more like Drake's Cakes. I looked at the today. I just came out of the path and I'm like, God, it looks like ship. By the way, hashtag Drake's Cakes. Okay, okay, great, alright, So anyway, um, so we got a couple of things talk about. Yeah, let's you can always email us at the Brooklyn Boys Podcast at gmail dot com. We have a couple of emails to read a little while and tweet us at Scary Jones that's s K E. R Y Jones. Uh, And I'm at David Underscore Brody, although I'm working on some things until until further notice. By the way, we still haven't gotten our the show's um twitter handles, right, we're still Brooklyn Boy w TF. But we we're gonna tweak some things. Man, yeah it you're gonna be at the Brooklyn Boys very that's what I'm hearing. Well, we were promised that we can talk about where you're going, what you want to do special in Vegas. Yeah, we're gonna talk about unused punch lines from the morning show that I wrote that we didn't get. Right now, let's do that. I only have two this week, good writes the jokes for ALUs Morning Okay, I write small percentage, let's not he writes some jokes. I like them for everybody. If if something is not in the voice, like if it's something that's great for someone else on the show, I'll hand him a suggestion. Yeah, a bunch of punch lines that used to be secret. But but yeah, but people know that. Yeah, just said it on the air. And then what ends up happening is a lot of them. Some of them get unused. Sometimes the person I write them for it doesn't see them in time, and someone else interrupted and went off and it's too late to go back. So Brodie has a stack of unused lunch Now these are just this is it too? But because something too? If you want, I'll explain these two. Okay, So the first one was you never wanted to go right into the dukey, right into dukey. You never wanted to go right into dukey. Now, why did you write that punchline? And why was it unused? So so Elvis said something. I don't think he realized what he was saying. So he has an alarm clock that he wakes up to that has like um nature sounds uh, And so he likes to wake up to like a stream or a little wind through the trees, one of those. But then it when it finishes, it skips to the next track, and apparently Elvis, Elvis's boyfriend Alex had made the next track he was listening to on this thing whatever his sleep machine is was was Green Days album which is called Dukey. And he said, it's very it's very uh uh shocking when you're like listening to peaceful sounds to wake up and all of a sudden, the Dukie album comes on, right Duke. It's a classic album. So I said, you you never wanted to go right into Dukey, which is right, but he said, he goes it went right in the Dukey. So I made the joke you never wanted to go right into Dukey. I mean, I don't know what people are into, but you don't want it to go right in the dukey. You don't want to You wanted to go right into Bukaki either, right. Well, yeah, so if you get the joke, you get the joke. If you don't, you're probably under fifteen. And I'm sorry, I'm not gonna explain it. Here's the other joke. I'll tell you the joke that I'll explain it. The punch line was, well, Anthony Scaramucci told people, I like to shuck my own cob. That's funny in itself, by the way, that could stand alone. But I do want to know why that Elvis was Okay, So Elvis was talking about how he likes to shuck corn. He made corn the night before, and so I made a little joke for Danielle and she said, oh, you like to shuck your own corn, do you? And uh, you shut your own car on last night it was Alex they had to shuck your corn all very clean on the radio. But double entendre right, so we got until shucking your own corn. Shucking your own corn? Right? Okay, Well if you remember, uh, he only lasted ten days. But then Scaramucchi, who by the way, now follows me on Twitter. What's up, Anthony Scaramuchi? He follows me too, by the way, Yeah, but he just followed me last week, so actively followed me. So the mooch as he's commonly called, uh did a on the record, he thought off the record interview now, Anthony SCARMOUCHI, I you don't remember, you don't follow the news? Was President Trump's um he wasn't even hired. He was hired unofficially to become the communications director, and also part of his job was to fire people and get them like thrown out, to find who was leaking information to the press and get him thrown out. But he was he wasn't officially hired because he had to sell his company. Was a conflict of interest, so he was sort of like hanging out at the White House but not officially hired. Yet he wasn't getting paid. Okay, he did an interview with a newspaper and he didn't ask for it to be off the record, and the guy told him it was on the record, and he was like, oh whatever. And he was talking about people on the staff and he said, Ryan's previous, that guy's a leaker. Can't trust him. And He's like, listen, I'm a straight shooter. And then he referred to Steve Bannon, who up until last week, who we also wanted to get rid of. Um. He was bad mouthing Steve Bannon, also a member of the Donald Trump's advisory staff. And he said, I'm not like Steve Bannon, who likes to suck his own cock. So I took the suck his own and I made it. Oh yeah, Anthony Scaramucci says, I like to shuck my own cob, which is a play on words. But he didn't. He didn't do the joke. I don't think either. He didn't remember the original line. He didn't realize I was making a punt of the line, and we didn't get whatever the reason, but those are my two jokes that we didn't get to. So you get to hear him here on the Brody Boys podcast. That sounds like welcome. You've got mail, well, thank you. At the Brooklyn Boys Podcast at gmail dot com, we always welcome and we read your email. And uh, this one comes to us from Erica from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Headline is I love you guys from Erica Covaric. You must say, Brooklyn Boys, I love listening to your podcast. See how she didn't put either one of our names. Right By the way, there's a Brooklyn, Iowa, isn't there? There is a Brooklyn, Iowa? And I have the T shirt. Yes you do, so America, you get to pretend where the Brooklyn Boys Iowa poets. Maybe she found this because she thought we were and realizes, yeah, so I must say I love listening to your podcast. I love Brody ranting every time. Please rant more? Oh yes, he will just shortly from from this. I gotta fight a way to make money off these. I listen to you guys every day when I met my desk for work and left so hard that everyone around me stares at me. Whoops. I love that you guys don't have a layout of how your podcast goes. Please keep making me laugh. Love you guys. Erica. Wow, Erica, you know you're right. We don't really have We have a very rough structure to our Yeah, we don't plan anything. By the way, we have two minutes left on this email segments, so let's go exactly exactly all right, Well, then, will just be one more read Read as many as you want, Okay, read read them, especially when they're complimenting me. This one comes from Carrie to Rosa from Fort Lauderdale. Oh my god, that sounds like a command. Hey you you see that rose over there, carried to Rosa. Carried to Rosa. It's like I'm not going to carry it. You carry something said at an Italian restaurant. Uh. This was this was the first episode that I have listened to with you guys, we got another capital. OMG. By the way, that's two emails A welcome aboard, OMG. I just watched the episode of Seinfeld last night about the guy who gave Jerry a suit in exchange for a dinner at a nice place. He took him out and then only ordered soup, saying that it didn't count and then it would if they would have to go out again. This podcast you did last week reminded me so much of that episode. I love Brodie, I think he's so much funny, but OMG, that was one annoying argument about dinner not being equal to a lunch, and then scary when you said, anyone listening to this podcast see what I have to go through on a daily basis. I almost turned you, guys off, but I will try and listen to another episode and see how it goes. I love you both. Don't mean any disrespect Carrie de Rosa, And by the way, shout out to Kenny Banja, because that's the character who said, well, I understand why she was pissed there at the end. She was upset. Well, no, she was upset, Carrie said, she said, And then scary when you said, anyone listening to this podcast. Oh, because I said, hello, is there anyone listening to because she thought that, Yeah, I assumed that people had tuned us out, but I guess we at least had carried my rant followers are very loyal than Well, then let's get right into that. Then I have to update. Okay, So the update on the dinner is. And by the way, the whole point was Brodie and I Bernie and I I owed Brodie dinner for whatever. I tried to say, Look, I'll get you a stake launch that's equivalent in price, and Brodie said, it's not about the price, it's about the atmosphere, and it's about other things. And it's been five years. I wanted dinner. So what's a consensus. We went to Twitter and everyone said, you owe me at dinner. Everybody, every well, no one person who I think is your friend. Danny said no, um and those who really know me said, you owe me steak would catch up. So those are people who really know my my persona on the radio, I love catchup on myself. I'm gonna take you out to a steak. Yes you are, And I'm okay with that. And since you said Delmonico's for lunch is just as nice. That's where we're going for So we're gonna go for lunch. We're going for dinner dinner at Delicry. You and I. You and I'm yeah, actually I hate to correct you. You and me? Okay, you want to do it today? What can you want to do it today? I can't go today. Oh well, we'll call out, can we do? I'm ready to take you out to dinner finally, I'm ready to make good on this. And you can't go to dinner tonight. I can't do you know on Thursdays. It's Tay Thursday when we're recording this. I work late on Thursdays. All right, and wait a minute, and I'm not dressed. I'm wearing shorts and a T shirt. So I can't go there with shorts and a T shirt. We'll do it on another night, another night, okay, okay. So then we went on the fifty minute Morning Show because Elvis heard us talking about this. He heard a part of the podcast and he said, what are you guys yelling about? He heard he heard someone else listening in the Office Star podcast, and we brought it up again. Explain the whole situation him on the fifteen minute morning show. I think on the twenty second Tuesday, you can listen to the show, and Elvis said, no, absolutely, lunch is not the same. And I said, if you took your girl out front of versary dinner, you wouldn't take it a lunch. So that's okay. So that's where I was. So we finished that. You put that to bed, I get dinner. Part two was we debated this over and over again. We established it. Everyone on Twitter agreed, We're not reading any birthdays on the podcast. That's bullshit. In fact, I have proof to show that more people voted for birthdays people did. No, No, twelve people. I want differthdays. Now I'm calling you out on your show. No, dude, No, we are keeping the birthdays the birthdays we know. And most people agreed. Most people. There are four people that said that they didn't want most people. Believe me, I got the best people who want their birthdays right. Overwhelming majority that said we should keep the birthdays as a monthly is a monthly's every five weeks. You can do birthdays on next spot, the next week's podcast. There's no podcast next week exactly. Have a ball off that can be you can do what you can do. You can do a fifteen minute birthday list next week. We're not doing that episode sixth because I'm because I'm a guy who likes I like to create peace and I like to what do we say? We like to open doors, we have to we like candles. We don't curse darknesses. I'm actually gonna reach out and Olive Branch here to you, Brodie. How many analogies can I get in one sentence and say, look, I'll meet you halfway on analogies. Well, i'm gonna meet you half four. Yeah, a metaphor. I'm gonna meet you half a metaphor. I'm gonna get you a metaphor. And the metaphor is this, No, it's not a metaphor. I'm gonna I'm gonna. Here's the compromise. I will do birthdays in twenty seconds because I feel like the average attention span, the yawn factor will come with thirty seconds because you know people skip ahead. People to skip ahead goes in thirty seconds. I'll do twenty second because the skip button is thirty seconds. I'll give you. I'll give you twenty seconds. So people can't skip, and then I'll bitch for ten seconds about how it sucked twenty seconds on the clock. I will even put a clock, a sound of a clock ticking for twenty seconds behind me. The next time we do September birthdays, you get one or two long Italian names will never get into that list. Well, I gotta keep it short. We get one like you know, Costa del Vecchio, and then you'll never get in that twenty seconds and twenty second birthdays on the September podcast will have it in EI the next podcast. Again, I say, put up a pole at Brooklyn boys. WTF we did that already and yeah, and Marine Dan did it, Marine Dan, and it came back that you lost no birthday off we were doing birthdays, Marine Dan. I don't mess with Marine Dan. He didn't want the birthdays either, Yes he does, he writes the list. I'm not doing it. We're doing at twenty second birthdays. Okay, that means yes, So that's your thing. Now another one. So I have I have some rants. By the way, our sales friend Jody, she she works downstairs in sales, should get a sponsor from my rants. Yeah, Jody, you're listening to this let's get a sponsor for Let's get a sponsor. By the way, because we have the word Brooklyn our podcast, I don't see why any Brooklyn business wouldn't want to be a part or associated with us. We can do live reads in content inside the podcast. Let's sell Brooklyn Boys podcast like like like uh like Plaza, Honda Brooklyn, lmb Spimoney Garden is the greatest pizza and Brooklyn unless someone else in Brooklyn wants a sponsor. Best pizza another pizza place. It's like every pizza pie you've ever had. They always say if they use that same generic box, right, you've tried all the rest, now try the best. It's that same picture of the guy on the box. So why does every pizzeria in America have that? Because the same company makes the pizza boxes. I know, but they can't all be the best. If a thousand pizzai is around the country, are using we've tried all the rest, not try the best. How it doesn't stay on the box this is the best. It just says to try the best. It doesn't imply that that's the best. It just says, in your life, make sure you try the best. Here's what I'll tell you and again, if you're listening around the country and you're not from the Brooklyn area in New York, are that's you know? I apologize, thanks for taking it out of Brooklyn. No, no, but here's what I'll say. There are places now in New Jersey, a lot of them around Brooklyn, like within an hour drive that sell what they call it Brooklyn Slice or or L and B Slice, where it's blatantly the pizza place that we're talking about, because it's a very unique. It's cheese with sauce on top of the cheese, and some places call it a reverse pizza on upside down. Stop it. We know what you're doing right exactly. We know where you are. By the way, Ellen b When I was a kid, we used to go there. We used to think it stood for legs and breasts because that's all we used to see when we showed up hanging out outside in the summertime, because it was legs and breasts. That was lmbs morny gardens. I still don't know what the l and look at that bitch. But anyway, so Jody, just a word about Jody who listened to the podcast. She loves Us love us, get us a sponsor exactly, let your tea charts made. Yeah, we get us in. Say there's a pizza in our logo the Brooklyn Boys podcast has with a saucage with sausage. That's right, by the way, sell it to a sausage company. We had web girl Kathleen on our show who designed it. Would she put Pepperoni? After I told the Pepperoni is like kids, ee pepperon, I want sausage. So she went in and call it all the Pepperoni's grayish to make him look right. So yeah, definitely, let's get a sausage sponsor right off the bat right for the right for the logo. But Jody, I'm trying to get to Jody. One thing with Joe. You can say her name again when it's a birthday on your twenty second. Here's the thing with Jody. One thing she hates when we do another one. She doesn't like another one. That's why I brought her up to begin So this is a complaint, another one, another complaint. All right, So I want to talk to you about what you do in Vegas. I want to play a song that you have refused to listen to. Let's play the song I refused to listen to. Okay, so I'm a month ago, about a month month ago, my daughter who's on the cutting edge of of music. Um, she's always on I Heart Radio looking for for new songs, uh and uh on YouTube anyway, she runs this song by me. It's filthy, it's I don't know how you beat it to play it on the radio. Do you have the radio version? Also have to play part of that. I want I want people hear how they beat it, but it the lyrics are funny, but it's a curse fest. But the beat, the bed under it is so good. So I said, Scary Jones, my E d M friend, my hip hop friend, my guy likes a good beat. You should really hear this song. I emailed you the lyrics, a link to the video right, and then a week later I said, what did you get a song? I didn't? At least they didn't lie to you. Most people would be like, yeah, I heard that, it was cool, and then I'd say, what do you like about it? Because you know I'm not gonna put up with your bullshit. So so I know, I said to you flat out, I've never listened to it, And by the way to this moment, I still have not heard it. And that's not a radio thing, it's not a podcast thing. He really has not about I loaded it in and he's got it there in front of him. He knows the title. That's see it and it's in front of me. I'm gonna press the play button. And it's the first time I love this song. Okay, but again it's it's a filth fest. Okay, So which one are we playing first? Okay, So this is a song called It's the uncut version, this dirty. This is Nobody Speak by DJ Shadow and Run the Jewels, Run by the way, Run the Jewels. See the interview. They're hilarious. This song just this is the song you wouldn't listen to. Hit it Nobody Speak, the dirty version, the dirty version. Picture. I'm a bag of ji, I am sick, I'm a baby ship. I'm to get to the yard, get a stick, make a switch. I can end the conversation real quick. I am crack, I lying kicker, lying in his crack on the ship. I will fall off in your cream. Take a ship. It's your mama hole. Nobody get your dog and your head stuff like you down on into pizzas with your head were the fast, we will cut a fronting face in your chest. A little wetch. I'm gonna mention up, be fresh. I'm a Minch're correct, I'm walking to a court while they wrecked screaming, Yes I am jilty. Motherfucker's I am chating? You want to hear a good joke? Nobody speak, Nobody get choked. This is crazy, this is hot. I like nobody speak. Nobody gets choked. Basically, okay, so that that's nobody speaking. Man oh man. By the way, first of all, how old your daughter? Old enough that I went, what are you listening to? Or younger? I listen. My kids were raised on music and with me in the house. Profanity a little bit, but she's old enough to know you don't speak that way. But the song is funny. I'm gonna kick a bear and his ship, put my foot up, Alliance crack and it's funny. By the way, I have the radio friendly Virgin it is so it said, this is the one that the I heard people made me download. It's is nobody speak the in prinses clean. So okay, here we go. Picture this. I'm a bag of Put me to your lips. I am sick. I will bunch your baby bear and give me lip. I'm gonna send you to the yard. Get a stick, make a switch. End the conversational quick. I am crack. I lion kicker, lion crack. I will fall off in your cream. I'm taking it's your mama own wound it. Kick your dog down onto pizzas with your keys the fest. We will cut a fronting face in your chest a little wench. I'm gonna mention fresh someone. You're correct, I'm walking to a court screaming yes I am chat. Nobody speak nobody. Okay. By the way, that is awful. And by the way, so you can't do all the jokes are gone, but that you can't play that version. We can't play mother the version that this one right here, Yeah, that can play on the hip hop station. I can't play on the pop station. The problem is that's by the way, that's not me saying anything about the hip hop station. They get to play a little harder lyric than we do. Yeah, we would never play this in top forty. But what I don't understand is how this is even a single for the radio huge hit No No, But how is it, no listen. I get that it's a huge hit for the underground, but how does anyone even approach anyone approach playing it because there's so much lost in translation. It's just not the same song, right, But I love it. I wanted you to hear it. So the beds great, right, I gotta be honest. I'm sorry I didn't. I'm sorry didn't hear one section. I like it. That's good. Yeah, that nobody speak by DJ Shadow. Maybe next time you emailed me to listen to something, I'll pay attention. Yeah. By the way, that was run the Jewels, not run the Jews, because you don't want to run the Jews, alright, and don't go Google in that. So that's that. Thank you to my daughter. All Right, So we have a couple of things. First of all, I'm going to Vegas this weekend. Yeah, what you do on very often? Yeah, you know the fight is happening. You know is happening. How did you get a hotel room? It's it's the Floyd Mayweather. You and McGregor fight, You and McGregor, Right, you and McGregor is gonna fight. It's Connor McGregor. No, you and mcgogh got a special set of particular set of skills. Connor McGregor from the UFC world by title fighting Floyd Mayweather from the boxing world, of course, Floyd Mayweather. So so McGregor pound for pound, one of the greatest boxes of all time. Yes, absolutely, Floyd Jor. He knocked out Pachio and like it was like not even not even a fight last time, so you only today. But Mayweather is the top of his game, and and of course McGregor, well he was, but anyway, he's number one. He is. He's a great box he's a great boxer. Don't trip me up, Brodie. The point is to help UFC world. That's where Conor McGregor comes from. So he's stepping out of his comfort zone to put on these gloves and fight fight Mayweather in his sport. And UFC of course stands for a United Fight Club, right, United Fight Club. McGregor's used to like street fighting, kicking and punching and with his bare knuckles and scratching and anything goes kind of like bloodshed stuff. So you know, the Vegas world thinks that that Mayweather is gonna fight, you know, kill McGregor, and McGregor doesn't stand a chance, and I wanted to be there for this spectacle. Now I am going for a charity purpose. I'm doing something else in Vegas that has to do with Mayweather and in a Sunday afternoon charity basketball game. I believe in one of the announcers on that. It's called the Candle Lighters. I'd like to plug that because it is a charity event and all the money raised goes for kids cancer. And you can actually buy some tickets to that event. It's going on on Sunday at U n l V. If you having to be in the Vegas area, that will be a very easy thing to show up to. And by the way, Mayweather is gonna be there for that on Sunday, and I'm going to be her announcer. So there's that. Now here's my thing. I wanted to go to this fight. I figured, we want I'm in Vegas. I want to go to the fight itself, because how do I go to Vegas, go to the charity event and not go to the fight again. So we talked about this on the fifteen minute morning shows available on I Heart Radio and iTunes, and I said, I said, thank you. I said, you're not a fight fan. You don't know the first thing about boxing, and hold on, and I said you you don't know the first thing about anything. In fact, I know this people listening right now that for the past forty seconds have been screaming at their device that's playing the podcast. Why because to prove that you know nothing? I said, of course UFC stands for the United Fight Club. It actually stands for Ultimate Fighting Championship. You set me up. You said, okay, so I don't know what UFC stands for. But then again, all right, Ultimate fight Club. That's a movie. That's a fucking movie with with with fucking Brad watch his name. Rule number one about the Ultimate Fight Club is said, that's not what you have seen. That's Brad Pitt Ultimate fight Club. You have just totally slip that by me. That was just differ stand for even United United Front for no u f C, United fight Club. Now you got me thinking it's that it stands FORTI stands for you fucking choked, No, you Ultimate Fighting Champion, right fan Ship Championship. I didn't. I knew it was ultimate because, as I said, United Fight Club, you were all about it, all right. If if I had said it stood for a Union fried chicken. You would have been like, absolutely, here's here's the problem. And I'm gonna tell you straight up, Rody, you're a dick, all right to say that at least once per podcast. But here's here's the thing. In all, in all sincerity, you guys were jumping down my throat today and only Bethany came to my rescue because I said, this is one of those things where you have a situation that is a once in a lifetime event people, unless McGregor wins and then it's a two times a lifetime event. But here, no, but here's the thing you go to. You go to the Kentucky Derby. Why do you go to Kentucky Derby? Not because you're a horse racing fan, but because it's a spectacle, it's an event. It's it's one of those things. There's a big difference between the Kentucky Derby and this fight. What's that the Kentucky Derby? All the horses are horse racers number two. No matter how bad the horses are, it's gonna still be the same amount of laps around the track. It's still gonna be the same distance. My point, and you get your money's worth, and you drink and you have a good time, and it's and as women dopey hats. If you go to this fight, you're gonna spend a thousand dollars. You don't really understand the boxing and thed and what you've got is you've got a basically a street brawler who doesn't it's not a boxer. I'm sure he's been training. I don't want to mad at me. Don't come here, by the way as a as a press time. Right now, he's still ten pounds overweight that he needs to be, so he needs to lose ten pounds in three days, all right. So it's to me, it's like a cricket player playing Major League baseball, Like they both had bats and balls, but it's a different sport. But you unless McGregor can kick him and punch him. And what I'm saying is, I don't think it's gonna last very long. And if you pay a thousand dollars to get in and whatever, you're gonna get tickets for five whatever. This thing could go a half a round. I was hoping somebody would get me in for free. Yeah, well right, didn't go. It's great, right, but The point is you guys, you guys, weren't you're passing commentary right now on McGregor being I just think your money's better spent by by Mayweather. But I'm also saying that you don't know the first thing about uh union free clothing, right and and and professional boxing, and so I don't I think you're going because you want to take snapshots and you want to be like I was there. Yeah, why was a lot of money because you could do that in front of a TV set where you wear at a bar and be like, look, I'm at the fight. If and given anybody listening to this podcast, if they were they were given a chance to be at this live event, regardless off they're interested in it or not as a sport or if they follow it on a daily basis, they would do it. They would go if the fight. If you were there and the fight was going on and somebody texted you, you looked down at your phone, right, don't you want? But don't you want to be where history is made? I meant, but people who want to go to the super Bowl, right, but half of them don't even give a shit about football. But it's an event, it's a once in a lifetime, saying it's a chance to be somewhere. I used, I used, people are gonna remember the Super Bowl and they go, I was in super Bowl fifty one, but they it's part of history. There's only been fifty one super Bowls, right, But people were back in the day. Mohammad al Leaf what Joe Frasier, that was like one of the There wasn't that the thunder from down? These are things, these are once. The thriller is the things that I read about, like, oh my god, when is there going to be an event similar to that in our lifetime? And guess what this is it. There was a guy for the Dallas Cowboys in the seventies and two told Jones, huge guy, like six five, huge arms, really powerful. I'm not and he went he became a boxer. He wanted a box He got his ass handed to him. Yeah, he was like, oh he's taller than his opponent, his arms are longer. He's gonna kill this guy. You have to have. So my point is you didn't remember that that was a big deal. And two told Jones he was a legendary box of football player. When Michael Jordan's you know what baseball team he played on like two years, Washington Wizards. No, that's not a baseball team, it's a basketball team. Again, another one. You don't know basketball or baseball. Who do you play for? Play for the Chicago Barons minor league team, but most people don't know that. People went to the LI League, the minor league game going. I gotta see Michael Jordan. It's history. He's playing min league baseball. Nobody remembers he sucked. Okay, So you're trying to say that this is the equivalent of Connor McGregor Mike Mike going into fighter, going into uh having a match. Whether he wins or not, then he's just another fighter because he's not. Look if he was able to kick and punch and headlock Mayweather, like if you put if you put Mayweather in a ring in the UFC, the Unconditional Food Club, then then I would watch that because I'd want to see him like try to kick and punch and throw people into a fence. All right, but I don't know. It's a lot you go. There's no way you come home happy unless it cosed fifteen rounds and it's an epic fight, in which case I'll say it's rigged. The guy spent his whole life, Mayweather, his whole life being a boxer, training the art of boxing. It doesn't take away the fact that I want to be there for this. It doesn't take away the fact that you're getting you get in under three hundred. I'll say it's okay, not that is what I said. If the three hundred is a gimmick, Like I was there, okay, fine, all right, but everyone was jumping on me today. Everybody was only because Nate came to my rescue and Bethany came to my rescue. And Nate didn't really come to your rescue. But you were looking at Bethany. He was making faces at you. I mean in the bad way. I'm just look, you're known for wanting to be You're like fastump. I want to know what you want to party? You want to be with? The party is you want to shake Kennedy's hand? You wanna Yes, you want to be where history is made. You want to be Why wouldn't you? You have one life, live it. I just don't think that I'm living my best life. I think that's it. Yes, okay, I think that's an event. I don't know if it's history. But I guess, I guess you don't know. Gregor knocks out Mayweather it's history. Well he's history, then yeah, pretty much? All right? All right, so we move on to the the United You want to go on a rant. Yeah, you know what, how about UFC? You fucking cock sucker, that's you. Okay, Here's what pisses me off? What doesn't piss you off? I mean, I think it would be a much shorter podcast if we just said the things that didn't. I love the emails you read today, they were very positive. Then piss me off. No, listen, I have a great week, but every once in a while, something really bothers me. So here's what bothers me. And everyone can relate to this. I'm sure when you call a company and has a voice tree, you know, press one for this, press two for that, press that almost every company says, please listen to all menu options as our menu has changed. Bullshit. I agree with you, bullshit because you know, I know already know it's four and I'm pressing four. I'm waiting around and I know it's zero. And I went on a website where it says what to push. There's websites that tell you what is the best Google shortcuts, shortcuts for what to push. When you call DAL, it're like, oh, one, seven, six, and you're in right, okay, So they're lying to me. So I ret know you're a dishonest company. If you're a company, even if your menu options have changed, f you don't change your menu options, keep your damn menu options. One is always the same and two zero is always zero. By the way, you always go to the operator. I'll tell you that slick company if you make it nine or pound to get an operator. Fuck you, fuck you, because I want customer service and you thank you. You're not getting me to listen to nine options. And then when none of my options is what I wanted, it says press nine to go back to the main menu. When you didn't have one of my options in the first night, anyway, why don't want to listen to it again? None of the options? So what if none of the options and my options? What's right? I should hit zero and talk to a person so I can tell them about my option is. So then you go, well, three was sought on my option? Four could have been three or four? Three or four? He hit three and they tell you what three is? You gotta kicked I should have picked four. Then you gotta call back because there's no way to back out. Your call has been transferred to audits. It's like funk audics caudics. Yeah, so this hang up. You call back and you go, Okay, what did I press the last time? I knew? I remember, and I don't remember, like okay, one, three, And then when it comes to three, I had four, try and he had four, and it's like not exactly what you wanted, damn it. So then this company's we have to like you have to wait, wait, wait. It eventually goes oh, like okay, we get it. Now we don't have your option hold for an operator, just timity the operator. Don't and don't tell me your your call is very important to us, because if it was, you'd hire more operators. I don't like to yeah, your call. Here's here's my second problem. When I call a company. Oh, when I call a company. To the people listening to this podcast, do you not notice that it's always customer service problems with Brodie because customer service needs to be service. It's always customers. When I when I rush home from our morning job and I get home. Att Yeah, when I call it to thirty to speak to somebody and I get thank you for calling blah blah company. Our regular business hours are eight am to five pm, and what time is thirty? I shouldn't be getting that message you're open. They should at least have a recorded message that's saying thank you for calling during current business hours. Right, please hold for an operator or we're experiencing delays. You know, No, you're not. You have the same one person answering seven lines because you don't care. So I don't want to hear your office hours if I'm calling within the office hours. And because I'm on the East Coast, here's no way anywhere in America that you're closed. If you're in California and the office hours eight to five and you're calling at four o'clock, it's really seven o'clock on the I get it. But I'm on the East coast. Okay, So unless we've got some properties in the verse, you know, the Virgin Islands or whatever, the hour or two ahead. But other than that, M efforts, by the way, M efforts stands for massive fighting. That's what that stands for. Everyone's blood pressure just stay up, all right, we bring it back. I don't know you've another one. I got another one, one, last one. Okay, my electric and gas company doesn't matter what the name of it is. But everyone has a guess and electric company in your area. By the way, Jody, if you're listening right now, wouldn't this rant be better put to better use? And if Brodie was ranting about a company about how great it was about the competitor of our company that we were getting paid for exactly. Okay, I'm just just a note. So I called up, but I want to make a repair appointment from my pool heater. The windows of opportunity are eight to twelve and twelve to four. Why eight to four no, because they want to knock you into a window to eight am to twelve noons. So it's either even window. I can't have eight no middle. They don't want to get there when you want them there. They give you a four hour window. Well, again I'm generalizing, but I have a job. Most people work eight to five. You know who else works eight to five? The guys at the electric gas company, they couldn't be home for their own appointments because they're at work, right, So I want an appointment for a four pm to eight p M. But I might be home, like fresh director offers. So I asked him, go, I go. I can't get home by by by noon, I can't be home by I have a job. So she says to me, we're burning it out. Sexist, She says, isn't your wife at home at that time? My wife has a job because I'm in radio not TV. How does she know you even have a wife. I could be single. And by the way, after you hear me on the phone for fifteen minutes, you kind of wonder why I'm not saying yes, thank you. Well, I've I do that to telemarketers. Is the lady of the house home? She's dead? Why would you mention that anyway? So I don't like that when companies ought to go, is your wife homers or as someone else? Over eighteen? How are we gonna find? You know the problem with your rants, Brodie. So that's why I'm ranting. I want companies to I want you know how Google gives their employees at cafeteria with video games and everything. I want a customer service company that specializes in actual customer service, like TD Bank. I love TD bank, by the way, not a commercial. They're open on Sundays. Why, and again I apologize, that's when most people are home. Right, there's a there's two pool companies right by my pool chemicals by the way. I don't have a great pool. I have a Pool's not a big deal. But one of the companies is closed on Sundays. And what if them is open? Well, guess what I need chemicals when I'm in the pool on Sunday and I go, I'm not a chlorine So it's nice that they're open on Sundays because they realize that's what I'm able to shop. Well, you know, there are some great companies that exemplify awesome customer service. So don't give me eight to twelve, twelve to four. Give me twelve to four maybe, and give me four to eight. Better, yet give me six to ten so if I work nine to five, I can come home and meet you when you go to fix my tor it or my pool heater or my conditioning unit. Don't let me take a day off from work. But again, I say, if the guy's coming to my house, couldn't be home for an appointment. I want a different appointment time. Yeahs a hold on. That's page one, page one of one. I got hold on and oh no, I got another rant. I just have to do with the office recycling. Yes, you go for you have something else? No, no, no, no, no, no, no no. Let's take a breather here, let's take a deep breath here. Yeam, okay, I'm good. By the way, I think this is a full podcast. I feel like recycling could be the bonus podcast for next week. Do you think that we should leave it right here? No, I'm just saying we could. The way that the talking head to do on CNN, we're gonna We're gonna have to leave it. I love that. By the way, I don't want to hear anybody's opinion on news channels and cable news. I'm just telling you all of them where they have like six people in the window. And by the way, Jimmy Kimmel is a master at holding up a mirror to that when he does his bit at night. They do know they show how the same every news outlet in America used the same phrase first story. We never did it on our podcast, But but tell them the CNN, Fox News, it's not it's not necessarily the main news stations. It's the local news. But I'm saying, but Jimmy Kimble does that? How people do that? These news stations a lot of the like your your your your ABC News, your NBC, you're you're a local affiliates that were like, let's put on the six o'clock news. Not everyone in the country is qualified to right news. They're talking heads, and they don't have the resources to research news around the country and get the full story and write them all whatever. So there are companies, and some of them are very politically biased, but regardless, these companies right News their news service, and they send out the scripts the radio stations around the country and so hopes that maybe someone on the local end will take the script and maybe turn it around. And so you're you're You're in Tall, Oklahoma, and the thought is, I'll read the script about, uh, a man fell into a hand a giant hamburger bun. What's the beef with that? He'll make that pawn, he'll do the story right. And then somewhere in Portland, Oregon, the local news station got the same script and they're like, huh, where's the beef. Oh, this guy's got some beef with that, and they make the same joke over and over again because they're needing the same script. It's called ripped and read, right, not that they just rip it, not because they all come up at the same brilliant joke. They're reading the same script. Right, So Kim ol and Conan used to do it. They compile, they compile all of the clips of all of these radio stations saying that said John Oliver doesn't on last week tonight, and they're all getting busted. But right, but here's the thing though, the CNN, MSNBC, Fox News thing is different. This is my thing. I I'd say this in in my imaginary stand up routine that I haven't done yet. So don't rip me off. I need to have a career someday. You have a platform here to promote it. I bet you a lot of snows would come to see you. Well maybe, all right, So I want to I want to marriage where you can do this when you're on CNN or MSNBC or whatever, Fox whatever, and they're debating, right, and uh, they gotta go to commercial and like the President death President that economics and they're yelling at each other and then like it gets to the eighteenth minute the hour, you have to a commercial. They go, you know what, We're gonna have to leave that right here, everybody, we have to leave it right there. And everybody stops yelling and they go thank you, and they turned the sound off and they faced the camera to go, uh, coming up, We've got more blah blah blah blah and blah blah blah, and they go to commercial. They just ended. They ended. There's no solution, there's no compromise. You imagine your home and you're you're all going with your wife, your girlfriend, your boyfriend, whatever. You're like, you know what, No, you fucking take the garbage. I take it out last time. Oh yeah, I know you're cheating on me. Fuck you, you're not romantic dinner. You have to leave it right there. And then your significantly goes right you, How great would that be? Gonna leave it right there? Some comic is listening to this right now and steal it practice, steal my ship and ship. All right, I think we're done for this week. I think so we're talking about this cycle in the office next time. Yeah, no, we can do that right now too. If you want breath wonder why another one? Hey, listen, have a wonderful week away from us. If we don't do another podcast. Thank you for supporting us for five episodes. We really appreciate it humbly that we really do. I find the easiest player for us is iTunes. Specifically, I love the seeing and Hearing us on the iTunes player because it's so slick looking. And you know, while we're on that topic, go ahead and Revie give me a nice positive view on the Walkers and Talkers podcast. So we all get to keep on two weeks to do this homework. Well we're away, Hell what's out? Well, we'll be back in a couple of weeks with episode number six. You know who we are, so boy, bro we are Brooklyn dah Boys, Brooklyn Brookline, dah Boys, Brock Brooklin
