Speaker 1: Start Data Start Up, Brooklyn Bus start Up, Brooklyn Buks Data, They making Noise Data Up. Episode thirty six, it's the Brooklyn Boys Podcast. Welcome. I can all giddy when we do this because it's just us and it's just scary in a studio. I gotta tell you. We were doing the fifteen minute Morning Show, the Elvis Duran fifteen minute Morning Show today and yesterday, and I had really good stuff for for for the but I didn't. I saved it for here. You did. I did see, and I don't hold back like no, you know what I because it was a couple of things I thought were good, but I thought I really wanted an event with you. Um, but there's something I may do here and then bring to the fifteen minute morning show. That's fine, Well the big Show. Everything's interchangeable. But I literally you, I blow my wad. I watch him off on the Big Show because to me, that's like, you know, we're here for the greater good. Well, I'm gonna come second. I'll tell you what I'm I got a couple of things that I want to get off my chest today, but no, no, that I'm gonna run by you and then we'll go to the big show with it and get a larger audience to talk about it. I'm really excited for this weekend. By the way, I'm going to see Sebashia Menscalco tomorrow. Okay, you see, you're doing it again. We talked about this last episode because your girlfriend, Robin, who I love, she gave you. We talked about this. She gave you a dinner. Right, She's like, oh, you're so good to me. Here's a gift card to a restaurant. Take whoever you want. Right, and you felt like you had to take harder than it was a testy. Who would you end up taking? I haven't used it yet, right, you still owe me a steak dinner? You know you do. And by the way, somebody asked for an update. We haven't done the update in a while. Well, I might have a solution to the steak dinner. A steak dinner coming to you deliver. We don't want to talk about that because I know what you're talking about. I want to talk about that yet until that paperwork is uh the ink dries. I haven't had an update in about twelve weeks. Well, I'll give you a couple of it. This is like a dry aged. Okay, well you know what, thank you for mentioning dry age. I want to mention two things. You still technically owe me a steak dinner. So Robin gave you a gift card, said take anyone you want to dinner, and you didn't pick me yet. Well, because Robin gave me a second gift, and I'm gonna use both gifts on her. In the same night, she gave you another gift and she said, hey, Anthony, scary my boy. He said, here's two tickets to Selbstian Men of Scale. Because you know the guy you and I interviewed on I think episode twelve of the Brooken Boys podcast. We had him in right, we're both fans of his. So rather than you saying it's a Friday, Brody can get out Friday. It's not a work night. I should take Brody to the concert, maybe taking my little steak dinner. Taylor Radios say, musical, she's getting both prizes. She's gotten both prizes because I told you in that past episode that this was a Christmas present, and it's the person gives you a Christmas president says, here's a pair of tickets because I'm a Because I'm Jewish, I can't get a Christmas present, but don't, but don't, don't. Both of those things have to go have to her because she said it's a gift, take whoever you want. Yeah, but how much? How a schmuck am I gonna look like to me? She didn't say his tickets for us? Yeah, but by the way, my idiot, I mean, how do I how do I take this entire gift and not give any to take her to dinner? Take me to Sebasti menascalco. Oh, So then I don't know you're a steak dinner anymore. No, no no, no, I didn't say that you stole me a steak dinner. But before you call you calling Robin, don't call it Robin yet. Speaking of dry robed, dry aged steak. So if we know you listen in order, you heard the whole steak dinner fiasco, fiasco. But we went to Delmonico's, the oldest restaurant in New York City. We went there and and Dennis took care of us. He treated us to dinner, an amazing dinner was great, and we had everything. We had all kinds of steaks, and every dessert was amazing. Little samples breathe this are Oh my god. Well, my youngest daughter was celebrating a big birthday and she said, I want to go to a nice steak restaurant. She loves steak, and so we said, all right, well, let's let's go to Domonico's. Like, oh you guys, Dad, you rave about I want to go there. My wife said, we're going there. You talked about it on the podcast. You came home, you raved about experience. You know what it's like, right, you know it's great. So we went, uh this past weekend. Got a good parking space, like a block away by Stone Street. Oh, if you haven't been parking on the street, you never pay for parking on Saturday's. Parking is aloud in Lower Manhattan after seven o'clock. Everyone knows that. So you can park by stuff that people listening to South Dakota right right, Well, now you know that. And if you don't know, now you know. So Stone Street downtown, it's like what a block long on one little it's it's got stones. It's a stone street. It's made there's like a cop meet a cobblestone, but it's like big white stones. It's a really and right but but it's close to vehicular traffic permanently. It's a narrow street with restaurants on both sides. It's like a little town in the middle of great restaurants. But around the corner is Delmonico's. So we went there Saturday night get the dry aged. So I wasn't gonna get the dry aged. And my wife looks over at me with those eyes and she says, why don't we share a porterhouse for two? I said, it's dry aged. She says, it's Delmonico's. I'm sure it's better than that bad experience we had where it was mold steak, right, because when you dry aged steak, you're drying, you're pretty much and rot and then you cut the rot away. But but it has a fragrance. Dry aged has this well. The porterhouse and by the way, not a sponsor. Um paid for my meal. It was the all the steak and we had. We had a little seafood. And I'm going on the record. I'm making it official, so let it be written, so let it be done. It was the best cheesecake I ever had in my life. I've spent the lifetime of eating chasecake cheesecake Oh my god, gripped and fluffy. It was fantastic. And uh, Dennis says, high. He asked how you were doing, and he says, when are you coming back? Scary? Still just stake dinner? Oh my god. Yeah, But you know what, he's never gonna If he doesn't let us pay, then I'm never gonna get all this. I'm not gonna tell them to, you know, force him to make his pay. But he made a joke, he remembered that, he goes. So if we go back there again and we get a free steak dinner, does that count at that point? No, still not. Don't make a free pay. You need to pay for steak dinner. I did a thing for you. Scary that you got thousands of dollars you pay for steak dinner. Call my girlfriend right now, I call her up. You're gonna ask her for that ticket. No, I'm just gonna tell her. I understand your decision and I respect it, but I'm just going on the record. The next time she says take whoever you want, she better mean it. We'll see about that. It's not gonna answer again. By working out again. She probably sees what's going on. Make Cowork act. By the way, if you call I know, that's it's not like work phone for her, that's her work phone. She knows people know who you're calling. You don't give you a name anymore, it's you know you're right. In fact, most people I know that still even collect voicemails. They just let the recorded person internally do it. They don't even record a message. Who has who has a voice message on their voice? I do because I have something. I say something funny and I say, you say hi, my name is David. No, I say David. But what I say on my messages, please leave a message. I check my messages. Yeah, I know, right, so I because some people like, oh, I don't leave a voicemail. No, I want you to, because then I know why you called and I can prepare myself if you had a question. But most people I know, they don't even use They just like let the internal computer doing you know, I get that by themselves. Here's what really bothers me. When people who tell you what number you called, you've reached you know, nine, seven, three five, I know what number I called you preset my Oh I called somebody recently it was I don't even hear people's voices on there anymore, let alone people telling them doing a live time stamp, yeah, or like, hey, leave a message and I'll call you back. Remember we used to have to say that, Yeah, I'm not home right now, please leave a message. Used to have a home answering machine on a cassette. Yeah, a cassette, Yeah, a cassette answering. When she was double cassette. One would play the meeting the message that you weren't home, and the other one would play that would record, Oh my god, that's really it's a double cassette. You had to have double cassette back in the day. And then it just moved to well it was one side was one thing once I was the other. And then they had an internal recorder where the hard drive would record the outgoing message and then the cassette would record the callers. My how far we've come now we just talked with our thumbs. So this weekend I'm not going to see sebast Man of Scott Comes basically saying last weekend I had interesting experience at the movie theater. Sunday night was Survival Sunday. I know you're a Walking Dead fan. You think people were making funny on social media so that you thought Lucille was the girl the woman with the bat. Yeah, I thought she was Sunday Night. I think I mentioned this was the season eight finale of The Walking Dead and the season four premier Fear The Walking Dead to spinoff back to back, and if you went to the movie theater, you got to watch it on the big screen. So Jamie and I went and my friend Jeff. Three of us went to the movies. So I get to the movies, Jeff is waiting for me, and Jamie from Light f M is not there yet. She's like, I'll run a little bit late. So the ticket taker guy looks at our tickets. He takes the tickets and uh, he says, uh uh, there's a poster. It a stack of posters. It doesn't give us a poster. He's like, makes us go get him ourselves. Rather he supposed to hand them out. So I get the post or whatever, and we're standing in the common area. And the way this movie theater works, there's two long halways like the shape of a V. So the concession stands at the bottom of the V. So there's too long halways. These two women in Walking Dead shirts come by. They're like, I don't know. There may be in their forties. And one of them says, oh, the guy didn't tell us what theater we're in. But what do we do? He's not there. The guy had walked away. What the ticket taker walked away? He kept walking away. Well, we'll have to just look at all the theaters to find it. So they go down the other hallway. Now I know what theater it is, because you know, I knew what theater it was. They go always on the other the hallway and they come back, they go, it's got to be in this hallway, and they start looking at all the theater signs to see where's theater it's in. When was the last time you were a movie scary? Um? It was a while ago. It was a couple of months, a couple of months ago. You know what they say on the on the ticket when you buy the ticket, what it says? It says the theater right there. So that on the ticket stub is a big five and it says theater five. And I wanted to tell her, but she was so stupid. I didn't have to her. I didn't want to tell her. You didn't have the heart to tell No. The opposite of that, I have no heart, so I didn't tell her. I was like, you know what, if you don't know how to read a movie ticket, screw you. So the ticket taker walks away. So I noticed there's people waiting to come into theater. They're standing there and there's no ticket taker. So I walk over and I pretend to be the ticket taker. So I go, yeah, I can help you. Yeah, two tickets for the one. Yeah, you know. And I had Walking Dead shirt on right, one of my shirts, so that people figure like, oh, I must be working at the movie theater and I'm a promo guy. We're in the shirt. So I'm taking their tickets. I'm handing out posters. Was having a great time. That's awesome. The guy comes back and he's looking at me. He's going, what are you doing? So I looked at I go, your job was done better than what you were doing. I gave out all the posters too. You're a real dick. Yeah no, I said it with a smile on my face. He's like, I know, but just you you. Next thing you would have done is asked for. I wanted to play. I wanted to play. Do you want to get paid for your time? So I took extra posters, so I'm giving them away. On the Walkers and Talkers podcast, the point was do your job, man, and then people didn't. People just showed me their tickets. I was like, so I scanned them with my cell phone. I took my phone out and I went, I went like that, So it looked like I was scanning the tickets anyway. That's so, you know. I was saying on the show that today that I was I'm planning this vacation and I don't know what anything about it. I don't know why it is such a big deal. You're not going to Mongolia. Yeah, but I'm going to a place that I knew nothing about. This is the first time in my life I'm doing a library. Yeah. No, So I'm going to see us the key. It's not a sponsor. Not a sponsor because you've mentioned it on the Big Sill. How could they be a sponsor? But we see us the traveling Tourism board. You know what works. And what I'm saying is, I'm going did you just throw a dart at a map? Like? How did you pick this place? Because it happens to be close to where I'm gonna be in Miami because we're going on Norwegian Bliss for a couple of days. We're going on one of those complimentary sales they are, yes, they are a sponsored but no, I'm not getting paid personally. I'm just going. So it's a sale. It's a sale. It's a sale. Yeah, they call them sales, right, Yeah, a cruise bliss is she you call her because it's a woman. I understand how that, so we call him. So I'm leaving. So I'm leaving the way the boat we're going on I ship. It's a ship. I know for a fact that the ship we're going on is gender fluid. So let's not assume any Right, Well, what I'm saying is so on Thursday, I'm gonna be sitting in Miami. So should I fly home? Why should I fly home? I'm in warm weather. The way this season is going, it could be forty degrees up here. I don't want to deal with up in here. I'll come back on Sunday. So I said, what is close? And I looked around and I'm like, I want to get out of Miami. I've been to Key West, done Tampa. Screw it. You know he had one day. No, I have three days, so I'm going to see. No. I've done that too, so I said, you know what, screw it. I'm going to see the key. So I'm going to see just like that. You looked at a map, You're like, I've never been there, but I find out it's a it's a lazy, sleepy uh Barrier Island town with a very white sand because the west coast of Florida is known for its white sand. I didn't know this either, but I googled it and I'm like, wow, sees the beach. That's awesome. But I know nothing about where. But it's a beach. But I don't think anyone does that, Like who does that? Most people need ten recommendations before they go. It's a beach in Florida, it's a I don't understand saying it's a it's a win win no matter what it's beach, you can't lose. What's what could be bad? Listen in New Jersey, where we're like, there's beaches that are bad to Dewey Beach, come back, you tell me what it's like. Beaches that are garbage infested beaches. Okay, you go to Virginia Beach, you come back, you tell me what it's like. All right, I'm just saying in Florida, the beaches are like, oh, you don't like Virginia Beach. Nothing. I don't like it. It's just not I don't know me do very well. There we were on I know we're on Virginia Beach, and I like some of the beaches. And my point is there are some beaches like Coney Island. I love Coney Island. There was a perfect example. Let's rip on our own backyard. Well, you know what a coney on whitefish is, right, it's a condom, floating condom going by into water. I stepped on a muffler once in the ocean. Not terrible, That's what I'm saying. But you can't assume because you're going to a beach it's gonna be awesome. I went to the beaches in Brazil. I went to what sounds like an amazing, an amazing beach, right beach. I went to Ipanema in in uh Where was I in uh Rio? Dijannarira, the girl from me Panema goes walking by, right. Well, no, the women were great but I'm talking, you know, I mean, look at I mean she's They actually towered over me. But but that was not my point. I couldn't leave the hotel. I went. I stayed on the pool in the pool at the hotel because we got warned. It was me and told Darren and we went and they said, don't you They said, just so you know, if you leave this hotel, be mindful that be mindful of where you go across the street. Yeah, but you think we a Dejaneiro. You think it's ten times better. So they were worried about the Olympics in in in in that area. So we walked across the street to the beach and the water is as green and rough as it is at the Jersey Shore, and and and the beach it was kind of dirty and there were people there and you couldn't leave your towel. Okay, you listen. You know you're on vacation. I'm on vacation. And I put my towel down and they're like, don't leave because anything, if you get up and go into the ocean, make sure you have someone on lookout because they're gonna steal your stuff. So how am I on vacation at peace of mind when I have to worry that that I'm gonna get up and go into the ocean and someone's gonna come and and thief my towel. Like, that's not a vacation. Do you just use thief as a verb? Yeah, my ship never heard that? Okay, I have you said? How is that the streets speaking the streets? Yeah? But Brodie, I mean, don't you so? So I don't know what I'm getting into by going to this. I see your Google is cs the key safe? They you look advilocity sands? Yelp, they said white sands. I'm just hoping. What do you what do you? Who? Wha? Are you racist? You have to is to be white? No, it's just why why is it? Why is it good? If it's white white powdery sand? That's powder? He say, what? Who cares? What call of the sand is? Put your toes in it and you sit you ask down and get some sun? Do you want coarse sand? Do you want to find hate sand? To begin with? I san gets in everything. I don't like it. Yeah, but if you go to church and CA coast, for instance, take a fine white, powdery sand. Here's what I like have like like when they have like wood planks all the way to the ocean, I walk, get in the ocean, walk back out. No sandow if they cemented the beach particular. I don't like sand. My point is I like sand. I don't like when I have to leave the beach in the sand everywhere. Things that just because it has the word beach in it, or things sound beautiful, they're not necessarily the case where I I I probably had the worst vacation of my life when I went to Rio because I was so petrified of people stealing my stuff or whatever. Where I looked, I'm like, this is not vacation. This is like New York with it. But you could have. You could have researched that I know. And that's why I don't go on vacation to a beach. I go on vacation. I go to plus someplace I can walk around, I can see it's just beach. I don't need to go to ru for a beach you want, But you want to go to Bahamas. Bahamas is different because they got water slides. Jamaica, I want to take you. I'm not a fan of Jamaica's beauty. It's a nice country. I just but the problem with Jamaica is beautiful. They have the waterfall and they have the beaches between that, it's nothing to see. I'm not a beach guy. If you're a beach guy, Jamaica is lovely, beautiful, the waters clear. I'm not a beach guy, but I am going to always go to beach vacations because because the beautiful clear water you could you could see down to your feet. Fantastic. I'd rather I'd rather go to England. I'd rather go to Switzerland. Rather go to countries where I see things and I explore and his amazing views. Picture you as the backpacker, Brody, I'm not a backpacker, dude. I went to Switzerland has the most amazing train system in the world. You go from train to train to train, from town to town to town. Is awesome. Yeah, but then what are you looking at? Glaciers, glaciers inside of glaciers and valleys and and amazing lakes and uh yeah, it's beautiful and the food isn't It's fantastic. Switzerland's great. You know why Switzerland's great. It's so and why it was neutral in World War Two? You old joke. Switzerland's neutral. It's surrounded by Germany, France and Italy, so they couldn't really take a side because Italy and Germany were on one side, in France on the other. So Switzerland's like, hey, we don't want to be involved. But if you go to the part that borders France, the food is French, it's like fondue. It's fantastic. Then if you go to the Italian area by like Lake Logano, the food is Italian and the culture is Italian. And if you go up to the north by Germany, uh Core and Zurich, then the foods all Germans. It's like three different definition. No, they have three different countries and everyone they learned to speak four languages, so when you go on the trains they have to say everything in German, French, Italian and English. It's cool, that is great. You could sit your ass on a beach. I don't need to do that. And if I'm gonna go to a beach, I'm staying in America. Put my money back into our country. Unlike you, yea, Unlike me. When I think vacation, I think cocktails in hand, I think swim up bars at pools, beaches. I think I have that amazing dinners, awesome food. Yeah that's what I like. Okay, you know I don't like. I don't like swimming it out. Did you get any of that around to ancient buildings. I don't go to ancient I'm not going to ancient buildings. And would people go to like Greece and they go and roll that. It's different, dude. But the Colosseum. We went to Italy and we went to the Norwegian cruise and we went to Uh. We went to Rome and so that we were all around the Mediterranean, but we stopped in Uh, not far from Rome. We saw the Colosseum. That's life changing. But I did too. I went, but that doesn't you don't do the whole trip. I mean we went, We went. I went to the college, see the Tower of Pisa. It's like unbelievab know, but to me, that's okay, check checked off my list. Why didn't times degree heat and I'm like, oh my god, I can tell you to get me to a pool, tell you to go. It was August. I went in September. It was cooler, there was no one there. It was fairer ghosta you know, that it was a fairer ghost town, is what it was. Yeah, because everybody goes to the south. You know, in Italy and Spain, they take the entire month of August off, so they all I go to the south of those countries. So anyway, when I got to Capri though, and Pusitano and Sorrento, the Mafi coast, that was just say that was that place, isn't it? Pazza positano, pull citano. Don't put an accent on bo s I mlyn poso. It's not posy, it's positano, posit positano. It's the posy Tonno tonnel. I'm saying. I'm saying, put an accent on all you want. You're saying it wrong. I'm saying it like an Italian person would. It's it's possible. I believe. I believe it's posit positano. I'm gonna look it up. By the way, when you hear this, we already know Maggiano's Macaroni grill. No, it's not macaroni grill, is macaroni Grilligiano. Maggiano's is a fantastic family style Italian theme restaurant. I love them, not as good as call Mines in New York, but very good. And my mouth is watering for Italian food. Now. Anyway, my wife threw me a surprise party Maggiano's years ago. Yeah, did you get a discount? No, private room? It's nice, it's nice. Hey, sick invite? What was what? Sick invite? Sick invite? We told you didn't invite me. I didn't invite you. It was a long time ago before we knew each other. No, no, we knew each other before the podcast that see that, see what I mean? It was it was a long time ago. My wife threw the party and it was family. It was family and like a couple of my immediate friends, from my lifelong friends. Next time, next time, I'll have you. But you knew me. You're working here, right, you're working the radio stations. You are well, you know what. I got a couple of questions to ask you. Am I wrong? Here? Tell me if I'm wrong? All right there, Nico and Vince, So I am I? Yeah? So I told you into the movie theater last Sunday. Right, but this was an event, so three weeks in advance, I bought the tickets. Right, it was ten dollars in sixty one, sense, I guess with tax I want to fan Dango bought my tickets, the signed seating bought again for Jamie and my friend Jeff. Jamie works down the hall at light of m She says, how much they are you? I tell her an event, I text her ten sixty three whatever. She comes exact change. Pay The man gives me my ten sixty three whatever it was, Thank you so much. Get to the movie theater Sunday night. My boy Jeff comes. He says, oh, you're for the ticket, right, yeah, gives me a ten dollars. Now he knows it's ten sixty three. He gives me ten dollars. I go, I said, yeah, the rest he funny, I go, was ten sixty three? Here's yeah. I gave you a ten. Oh he rounded down. He rounded down, like, oh, it was ten, it was ten plus tax. That's not good. I gotta pay the tax. I laid out the money for you. You want to give me eleven? Yeah, and then go keep the change for the trouble. How about that. I'm gonna go with I agree with that. It's bad etiquette. Man, You short somebody, you know you don't go Hey, he's ten, you give me eleven. Figure out, you know what, I appreciate paying me the ticket. Up. Here's a electra something for you, little thirty seven cents, nice off something nice. Always round up when you're when your friends, you and I always let's say, hypothetically, it was ten dollars and eleven cents. All right, I'll bite the eleven cents. I'll bite it, alright, eleven cents. Who walks on? So but wait a second, it was ten sixty three, so you got it? Round up what it was ten forty nine. I still want the money because then you're gonna give me two quarters and tell me to get the penny. Give me two quarters, but they say fifty and up you round up. I'm I'm with you, bro. I think he shift. He shifted me? He did, yeah, And that's not may being cheap. It's principal. He really is. He knew in advanced It wasn't like he went, oh, oh, I've got tax kind of you know, he's like, hey, you go, what are you doing? By the way, while we were bulls on my friend Jeff, Jeff, who you're gonna help and and take to a free trip pretty soon okay, yeah, here's another one because you have the one. So yeah, because by the way, we are going on this trip and is it the same Jeff, yeah, okay, okay, so him up. So again, we're going on to Los Angeles to go on the Norwegian Cruise ship for a three little three day cruise Nowegians, and then we have to get to Seattle. So originally they were gonna fly us to Seattle for the christening of the ship. Will something, we'll bang the bottle against the boat, will do that. That will be after Memorial right, and so Memorial they weekend, they're like, uh, you have cruise in l A. There's some room if you guys want to come. So we were all like, well, i'd like to, like you know what, we'd love to have you your godparents of the ship. We'll pick up your ticket and then brobably the cruises it's just a cruise to nowhere. It goes from Los Angeles and out at See a couple of days and back to Los Angelos over Memorial Day weekend from Friday to Sunday. Right, And by the way, we're gonna stay one day in l A. I got another beef for you about that. Hold on a second beef beef not steak, no, because you still own me that. So we're like, oh yeah, we'll go. We'll be boys. You and you and I are going Nates going from the from the show. And then they said, you know, if you want you to bring a spouse, bring bring a guest. This way you because you cabin holds two people. The cabin is gonna you're gonna have room in the cabin. I'm bringing Robbin. You're bringing Robin his girlfriend. Right. So I said to my wife, you want to go, and she's like, I can't. I gotta work to Friday eight. One of my daughters has a gymnastics competition, so none of my kids can go go solo. I was gonna go solo, but you know me, I can't pass up a freebee. And I thought, you know what, I could do the right thing by a friend of mine. And you're all going couples. So I'm like, all right, listen, I want to have someone to go on the go cart track with. You're gonna be with your girlfriend, Nates with his girlfriend. I don't wanna be fifth Wheel. So I said, I'll bring my buddy Jeff. Norwegian Cruise line said absolutely. So I say, Jeff, you want to go free trip. He's like, absolutely, Jeff. Well this was before I get a free cruise e free fair thanks to thanks to our friends and me. But I want to pick him and he steps me on sixty three cents. You better believe if there's anything to buy on that ship, he's paid playing for ohh, that's a given. If I take you to the ball game or a concert, I'm expecting beer, You're gonna pay you. Absolutely. I got a buddy, I gotta my buddy John my buddy Johnathan. Everything is on you for that night. Because if I'm paying a ticket, you want to come with that then right, And that's the right thing to do by my buddy Johnathan. Jonathan is my concert guy. We got all the rock shows together, right because you all the heavy metal shows that we because he likes same music I do. So I get tickets, you know, usually as a favorit. I get tickets through the industry. When I say the industry, of course, I mean the business. And I'll say I'm John. I get tickets for whatever. He said, great, I'm driving, I'm paying. He buys me sodas, right, diet coke so does and occasionally he'll buy me a concert shirt. Good because he does the right thing. That is the right thing to do. If you mention, if you listen to this right now, If and you have friends that you're hooking up with, ship they owe you for the rest of that night, everything's on them. Or if you work for a retail store and you're like, hey, i'll get you some clothing with my discount, you gotta do something for them. Yeah, no, you you absolutely do. And I don't do things. I don't do things because I want people to do anything. I just wanted my sixty three. So by the way, so while we were talking um, we had some guests that were outside the studio. Obviously we're inside of a glass studio were we're inside of a fish ball pretty much, and they did that slick thing that they do where I guess the woman was wanting to take a picture. She was waving at us at first, but we were kind of doing this so I'm slightly distracted, slightly not so she she said, let's take a picture, and they were facing the wall with the Elvis de Rancho logo, but then they cleverly turned it around so that she was positioned facing out toward the wall, and then the photographer came to the opposite direction and faced us, so he's got us in the background. So she's gonna do that thing where she says, oh, I did that with Schwartz. By the way, she got a picture Brody and scary anyway, because left her right from where she was at the beginning of this podcast. And you'll know it's scary and Brodie because you didn't correct me. Okay, continue, I let you have one you already in snows. They know it's hashtag Brodyan scary. By the way, when you when you do hashtag brody and scary and you capitalize the being brody, then all smaller cat smaller letters go capital A and and little and little D and then capital S for scary, so that the ant sticks out nicely. Capital bords with capital capital and scary. You just said it. That's right, Brodian. Continue. So yesterday, right, some people came around the wall and then and they were like, oh, and then and I where I stand in the studio, I'm the closest to the glass, And so they were standing there about to take pictures. I'm waving like this with my right hand going no no, no no, no, no, no, no, back and forth, no no, no, no no. She waves back and she's taking pictures like oh look he's waving to the camera. So I'm like, go, like, this is my neck, like, cut the neck, the next your neck, like, no, cut it, cut it and cut it out. And she's like, well, that's a funny picture. And she took my picture anyway because it soundproof. I held up a sign I wrote, stopped taking to me. When you start cutting your neck, it looks almost like, oh, it's hot here, it's hot in here. So, uh, what what is going on with you? Brodie? I see you you foaming at the mouth. First of all, First of all, I have to tell you that I I want to apologize because I might have I might have really fucked you up yesterday. Which particular time was it about my gift? It was the gift, all right? So let me set the stage because that's what let's talk about that, shall we? No, let's talk about that. Let's get it out in the OK. We haven't spoken about this. So I'm really upset that I because now I thought about it, I'm like, all right, so we have a friend Natalie, who works at why would Hunt you in Miami? Okay, Natalie wanted a favor. Are I think it's a boyfriend and his son were going to the Mets game in New York and you hooked him up and they said can you can you do such and such and such and such. I said, I can do even better than that. My friend runs the stadium entertainment at the Met game at City Field. If you want, I can have your your boyfriend and his son's name put up on the school board when they welcome people. There's like a section in the fourth inning like, oh, welcome Brodian scare whatever. Don't give me the fingerwave. You did the favor because I know where you're going with that. So I called up our friend and I said, hey, could you blah blah And he said, absolutely put it up there, she said. The next day she sent me screenshots the pictures right, not screenshots, pictures of the name on the scoreboard. Thank you so much. Oh my god, I sent you something. I'm so happy. I said, you said you something that wasn't necessary. She's like, you know what, you did the right by me. I'm gonna send you something so uh, yesterday morning, I get a box of edible arrangements. That so good. And normally when you hear edible arrangements, it's like the big fruit thing, right, yeah, fruit platter. Like Usually it's like it's like a bouquet of flowers, but it's it's bananas and pineapple the shapes of flowers and then dipped in chocolate. And sometimes it's just the chocolate dipped fruit, not in even the shape of flowers whatever. But this was special. This was a box of chocolate covered cherries, giant strawberries, vanilla, a white chocolate rather and ecolo chocolate chocolate big strawberries. And I would say there was three, six, twelve of them. It was a dozen. It's a red box with a ribbon around it, and then attached to the box itself like the whole punch, was the tag that's in edible Arrangements, said David Brody on it, and the note from Natalie thanking me for what I did for her. By the way, it's Natalie with H, so it's spelled like Natalie, but it's pronounced Natalie. Throws me off every time I see it, as it is uh. And so I opened the box Yesterday morning, I had a white chocolate strawberry and then I texted my wife and I said, hey, I got these chocolate covered strawberry. She loves chocolate coated strawberries and two of my kids love chocolate coated strawberries. I said, I got a little box and bring it home. So I had one, and before I made a pig out of myself, I put it in the refrigerator. I put the ribbon around the box again so it looked like it wasn't open, and I put it in the back. And it's got a tag on it with my name on it, right, and it's a red box. So I get hungry and I'll come rummaging through the It was like, not the kitchen in the morning show Bullpen office is. We have a little refrigerator that holds I don't know. It's like three ft high two ft wide, and so it's not that big. So if anything's in there, you can't miss it. You go in there and you open it, you're like, oh, what's this brody? And I what I say, scary? What I said, This is a gift A gift to me, right, A gift, yeah for you? And and here's and the strawberry in there. I'm like, oh, and I said, can I have one? And you said yeah, you could have one. What else did I say? I said, yeah, I'm gonna bring those. I'm gonna bring them home with the right family. So you're like, you're gonna take one. So I go back to typing on my laptop and some people come in from sales to the to our office just as I'm opening the box strawberries. So I eat a strawberry and I'm like, oh, this is so good. And then hold on, I'm gonna jump to the end and you can explain how it happened, Okay. So then I look over and I eat strawberries in with a little white rappers, like little cupkick rappers. It's sitting in and I see there's like a pile of them in the box. So I go scared, what are you doing? You're like, what you get strawberries? Who's on your face? And chocolate and melting? You're like what I said, how many did you have? Oh? That too? Were all strawberries, only the white care I gave you the box. I gave you the box with eleven strawberries, right, eleven strawberries. If you had one. That's ten. I still bring ten home to my family, thank you. And they have some strawberries. Ten strawberries. Four people in my house, only three of meat strawberries, that's two or three each and a couple for me. You ate two of them, even though you asked me for one. And I go, what happened? All strawberries? And you look like a guilty kid caught with his hand in cookie jaw, And you slowly turn your head and you look over the two girls, some sales who I now see has strawberry juice on their face. They ain't my strawberries. You offered my strawberries because the seals people so much, not though here's the problem, this is what I'm up against. But they don't know the history. They see me standing there with an open box of strawberries and a strawberry in my mouth. It would be rude of me to strawberries, so you go, but they're not. I have some strawberry rude of me to not offer them, So I said, hey, guys, would you like some strawberrys? The rude they're not your strawberries. But if I'm standing there with a box of strawberries and I you want to be a good host, right, I gotta be rude. You're a host of My Strawberries. I know, so big deal, big deal. So you gave them meat to Strawberry. So that's nine minus two is seven. But there's only four in the box because three of the interns wanted Yes, they can't afford. You gave Jake our video guy at Strawberry, he's the next and to in no by. They's sitting across from me and he's right there. We should get him in here, but he's recording his podcast. We should I, we should bring them in here. I this sucks. Hold on, I want to know. I want to know, and then jumped down to four fucking strawberries. Jake, we're recording an episode of twenty somethings Doing Nothing that you can hear on iHeart Radio. That's nice. Nobody listens, but we can get I'm a fan of imam who instagram put up a picture of your logo. But twenty something's doing nothing? Oh you did? I did? I support them. I tweaked them all the time. So yesterday we're talking about Ricky. Come in, hold on, this is twenty something doing nothing. This is Ricky and Jack, you guys have met Ricky. Fact when we wanted we were starting out the podcast, we had her on. That's when we cared we had her on the show. Well, now you have your own podcast, but you're always busying the next door recording their podcast. Right. This is like when like one rock group is like, oh, we were recording and the other rock groups down the hall. That's what's going on here. So we're talking about how Scary took my gift of chocolate covered strawberries and decided it was his right to give you one of my ch I know you, don't you think it would have been rude if I'm sitting there? Y set this up for Ricky. Don't you think a little bit rude if if I'm sitting there with strawberries in my mouth and I don't offer you a straw First of all, he should have had strawberries in your mouth. You should add one strawberry in your mouth, Ricky, Just to catch up before you answer that question, Jake. By the way, Ricky and Jake both for me in terms of mine and I want to tell him to hold on a second. Very proud I got a box at twelve strawberries and doing someone a favor. Okay, they were wrapped with a ribbon around them. I opened the ribbon, they ate one of them, put the ribbon back and there was a card attached with a whole punch. It was with a string attached to brody strawberries. Don't freaking touch the strawberries is what the sign is, really, basically said Scary says, who's true? Bridges? So I said, damn mind. They were a gift. Can I have one? Yes, you can have one. I'm taking the rest hone to my family. So he eats the one of my strawberries. Now I'm down to uh ten strawberries. He sees two people from sales. He says, oh, would you like some strawberries. He decides to give them two of my strawberries, and it looks over at Jake editing video and goes Jake, strawberry pick it up from there, Jake, of course I want to straw allberry, very delicious strawberry. Hold on a second. But but but don't you think it would be rude if I was sitting there eating strawberries and you do not, and I don't offer you will see yesterday? Well, no, not. Yes, right. The day before you offered me the strawberry was the day that Brodie got them and he opened them an eight one, and I was waiting for him to offer me one, but they never did. So then when you offered me one, Because how do you open a box of chocolate covered strawberries and not offer them to say were a gift, I was the only one sitting in the room show. I'm gonna go ahead and say that if I got chocolate covered strawberries that I wouldn't offer anybody anythank you. I would not eat everyone else, I would totally eat. I am strawberry. What the fun man? Let me tell you something. How generous strawberries the most generous? Yes, scary me a wallet generous, more selfish because you wanted to look like the good guy. Weren't even yours? Hey scared, give me your want your money, so I be generous. I'm with you, scary strawberry, Agree with you. It's really good. If Scarry had said, hey, these are rody strawberries, would you like one? Still? Yes? Pos seriously though so much so many good delicious desserts around here that I'm not like, Oh, Brodi's gonna want to take home all twelve motherfucker right the day before when it was just the two of you in that room and Hugh saw him open up the box, take a strawberry and not offer you, the only other person in the room, want to put it back in the refrigerator, did you think like that's selfish? Fuco. Today, Scary got a delivery of rose vodka and there was a few bottles there, and I'm just saying that, like, if there's I would take a bottle of rose vodka since you're being so generous today, not for any other reason. All I could tell you is this, I am the most generous person when it comes to everything, and I assumed that my generosity and Brodie's generosity would have been on the same level, and he would have been of the same mindset if he was holding an open box of strawberries to pass some onto the people in the room, because it's only fair. You can't eat in front of other people and not offer them some of that food. I'm sorry, So it wasn't my fault that at the time I opened up the strawberries that twelve people walked in. Okay, what you do is you go Brody listen to people here, can I get some strawberries? And I would have said, very nicely no. I would have said no, because I promised my already texted my wife and said, chocolate covered strawberries are on the way. You didn't say how many, though I gave her a promissory note that strawberries are coming soon. Well, guess what showed up for white chocolate covered strawberries? Showed up six white chocolate strawberries and six chocolate strawberries. Why is that? That's what I had twelve up to the house. Not going home with four white chocolate strawberries. Some of my family likes milk chocolate strawberries. You won't take him. Yeah, I took the home. I took call him the four raggedy ones that were left. And by the way, each one of them had a little circle of chocolate on it. Said thank you. Somebody took all the little circles. I took all the circles of that's just extra sugar. That's just took the bonus rising chocolate off the strawbery. It wasn't it was it was it was a it was a candy nameplate. You don't need that edible. Yeah, it was edible, and you people took those two. I didn't think you four you left. I got a box of rappers. Oh my god, who's that for you? Who's that? You? Ricky? Genuinely feel bad something's doing nothing. I love chocolate covered serries and I would be very upset as well. Well. You should have been a screw would offer you one. I wouldn't. I would have said yes if you offered them to me, because I wouldn't know that they were yours. If you feel so big, just astard, why don't you go buy him some strawberries. She shouldn't have to. You know who should though you? And then you know what? You're getting a new jingle, No see you next week to get a straw up date jingle. You messed up for opening the box in front of scary I opened the box because I didn't know it was in the box. He opened the box, he said what's in the box? And I said, Oh, it's chunking cup strawberries. I got him fro Natalie from what I went andred, Oh could I have one? I said yeah? He said one? He didn't say, May I divvy them up and give them out? Everyone who's in here how straberry strawberries should have gotten three strawberrs. You we should have eaten. The whole box was rolling down his face. He was so kilty. I've never seen brodies so angry. The cover of the chocolate cover, the regular strawberry, it's red at this point, Well, thank you for sharing, scary. What you got, You're welcome is really good. If we ever get a very valuable lessons a box of strawberries, it's what you owe me. You know what I was pissed. Hold on, j let me ask you a question. I'm gonna get out of Jake. All right, Jake, Let's say you you laid out money, right, you bought movie tickets for someone. They were ten dollars plus tax ten sixty three, maybe there were nine whenever was ten dollars and sixty three cents? Right, and your boy shows up to the movie theater and he hand you ten bucks and he goes here you go, are you okay with that? Yeah? The funk out, Well, yeah, I want I wanted to give me eleven dollars. No, he wouldn't give me ten dollars cash because he would have end with me ten to sixty three. He came up to the movie theater with cash in his pocket. He gave me ten dollars. Would be like, okay, fine, you know what, you know what I feel. I feel that somebody in this room is a cheap pastor. You gave away three strawberries. You know what I'm gonna get Next week, We're gonna get any on the phone and I'm gonna tell her you gave away the strawberries she gave to me as a gift. And then you're gonna make her field and she's gonna yeah, that's okay, that's the end. Called me here, I know what I'm doing. She's gonna send me more strawberries and then technically, scary a little heart strawberries. Shit, I don't know anybody anything. I've given you all so much over the years and giving me nothing something, nothing to do something. You stand. I need that right away? Can you do that? Check out the podcast on I Hunt Radio. And remember that bard bastard Bastard who is the Stephen Bastard. Okay, speaking of which you felt for you fell for a scam? What time, my Mike Golf, You son of a bit. There's a mistake. Yeah, you're a mistake. You You fell for the oldest trick in the book. What's that? Cardi B posted her phone number on Instagram. Yeah. So I've been wanting to talk about this, but we said it on the Big Show. Okay, but I will let me take you through it because I gotta find it. God, I want to do this when you use jokes here right, Okay, so use jokes. If you go to Cardi B's Instagram and it's still there by the way, Um, you have a Cardi B has uh text and email, so I'm like text. You click on the text button comes up with a phone number. So I'm like, huh, look at this. I got Cardi B's text. I'm gonna text her right now. I texted Cardi B. Congratulations on your album Invasion of Privacy. I can't wait. I can't wait for you guys to come up to the Morning Show. That your whole crew. Anyway, all of a sudden, she texts me right back. Hey, it's Cardi thanks so much. Here's in your name. No, here's a second here's a second phone number from me. This one is a landline. Give me a call, leave me a message. So I'm like, she leaves a second phone number. I'm gonna call the landline. You call the landline. Hey, what's cap It's Cardi B you reach me. Don't leave a message, just text me baby bye. So yeah, there's Cardi's voicemail when you call the landline, and then she tells you to go text her. Then you text her and it said hey, I missed your text, and it leads you on this wild goose cha you come in here like you had her actional number. Well that was her number, that was the number that she put on her Instagram. But the best part is she said, listen, I can use you for my contacts. I'm gonna hit you with my contacts, So leave your leave your full name and your email and all that, and I will get back to you. So now I'm in her address book. No you are not, Yes I am. No you're not. Anyway. That leads us to two jokes that I made that Elvis didn't get too on the show. Only too Well, No, I have a lot of unused jokes, but these are two for that situation. Because you're a sucker. You thought for at least ten minutes that you were like, oh, I I'm so smart. I got her information Cardi b is gonna put me on her phone. So I said, you're a sad little bit, right, which is he didn't get to that. That's the first line of the song yellow right. And then I said, scary, you make dummy moves, You make dummy moves. H didn't did a joke? E? Then what are the rest of the end used jokes for the week? All right? So Stormy Daniels met with a sketch artist, you know, of course, Tommy Daniels, young lady who got a hundred and thirty thousand dollars and she's still talking, got paid not to talk, and she's still talking about Bless America. So she did a sketch of the man she felt, he says threatened her a couple of years ago. And the sketch looks just like bon Jovi, Jon bon Jovi, not the band, looks just like John bon Jovi. So everyone in the room said the same joke Jon bon Jovi's wanted. So I said, I said, so, my fallow up joke was he was last seen on a steel horse. Almost didn't, I guess didn't want to do do the joke. Now, I don't know if you got the reference on a steel horse. I ride ah. We were talking about Nate being on a sugar free diet, not eating sugar anymore, and he says, you know you don't eat sugar, he become a killer, Like people go crazy for mud eating sugar. I saw. I wrote a joke. I said a little known fact, Jeffrey Dahmer gave up eating people who eat sugar. Didn't want to do that joke. Uh, that one's offensive. Oh good, I'm gonna run this joke by somebody. This So glad we just have a guest walk in the studio. He'll be the only one who appreciates this joke. So hold on. Um. SNL did a sketch about don't order seafood. I don't know what a lobster in a diner. Great sketch was the best sketch of the week. And John Mulaney, who was the host of the show, very funny comedian, he wrote he wrote that sketch ten years ago when he was a writer of SNL and they didn't like it anyway. So we were talking about, like you don't go to certain restaurants. You don't go to a diner in order of Italian food, right, you don't want a spagett meat palls. You don't You don't go to like a gas stay should order sushi, the certain things you don't order. So my joke was, yeah, you don't go to Olive Garden in order Italian food. That's we didn't get to that. Um let's see. Uh oh. A caller called up. We were talking about have you have eaten worms? So the girl says, yeah. When I was in the sandbox as a kid, there was a worm in the sandbox and I didn't want the worm in my sandbox and he wouldn't get out when I yelled, get out of the sandbox. Worm. So I ate the worm, so I have the sandbox to my self. So my joke was stay at a cat litter boxes then you uh. My favorite joke of the week that he actually used. He was talking about you can now use your phone as an app. On the phone, you can get an exorcism over your phone, and I said, that's called a text orcism. You like that joke he used it. I enjoyed that joke. I was very proud of it. And I didn't like my Justin Bieber line because Justin bieber punched out a guy a guy was choking this woman at Coachella. So Justin Bieber walked by and slugged the guy, and I wrote, the guy saw stars twice because Justin Bieber is a star, and then he saw stars. But Spruce liked it. What's up, Spruce? Nobody Spruce from being robbed for a second. Oh my god, I thought I was in Starbucks and you ask me to leave out. Let me just let me just point out for the record what Spruce said. He can say, and it's funny. He said, inappropriate beca on calf. What do you think I'm talking? He doesn't have a ski mask on, he has a regular Saints. Yeah, but people don't rob liquor stores wearing a hat with a Saint's logo. But when you are where you are wearing dark colors on his bones, on his flesh. Okay. So, so Elvis was talking on the on the Big Show. I gotta stop him before we get shut down about these rubber bands that hold the microphone in place, that let it bounce. And we had these uh rubber bands on the microphone. These are the right here, by the way, And for years, every radio station in America stop doing that. Every radio station in America has these flimsy black rubber bands to hold the microphone up that allows it to bounce. So so Elvis is talking about these black bands, these new black bands. He has to hold his microphone. Hold on a second, just just sitting here. You don't have to call black okay, don't ruin the jokes. When he Sterry already said, oh I thought we were getting wrong. That's cold, man, that's all right. So I said, oh, he's like, I like these black bands. So I said, there's lots of good black bands. And my joke was, you know, like Living Color and Paul and he didn't want to do it. I'm leaving. You want to edit my part. I don't want any part of it. Why not any part of it? You guys? Seriously, I'm leaving to you're leaving. That's okay, right that it was a black band. Yeah, black black band, one of the best. Spruce hold the personality. Oh no, I got one more thing before you leave. I don't know. Did I ever tell you about another black thing? It is? It is, in fact another black thing. I thought we were friends. Why would communicate all talk about two stories to tell you? Okay? The stories you have a non racial thing to talk these two. Okay, So I'm in the car my daughter, my middle door, her right, and we're talking about hip hop because we have one of the hip hop stations on in the car and she loves hip hop. We're listening on satellite radio, so it's all uncensored for how Hitler no hip hop. So I I made a comment and I said I I said, I call it hip hop and she says, it's it's rap, and I said, you can call it. Either said, none of my friends call it hip hop. It's rap. I said, well, my friends call it hip hop. She says, well, you don't have any black friends, so so I said, well, she's I do. I go to school so a lot of her friends are black, And I said one of my closest friends is black. And she says, oh really, who I said, Spruce. Okay, that don't if you're gonna make up somebody, don't make up somebody with a fake name Bruce. So I said, yeah, I said, wait a minute, you've met Spruce many times. I've never met any friends of yours that are black. So I said, I have a lot of black friends, which is not a cliche. It's legitimate. I said, especial you at work. We work, And I said, all my friends of Para one O five, Charlemagne and Envy and and Eddie, their producer, all friends of mine. And she just, I've never I don't know who Spruce says, I don't believe that's a real name. I said, well, first of all, it's a nickname is he was given as a child. But uh, that's his name. You've met him. He was my writing part of the twenties. She's like, I don't remember him, so I have to not play a clip. I said, Just do you have any pictures of him? I said, as a matter of fact, everybody knows Spruce doesn't allow his picture to be taken. I have a gallery on my Facebook page called Mike Pal Spruce and it's all like pictures in the side of his head, ducking around the corners. Just if he was black, you wouldn't call him your pal. What I said, just you don't call your friends pals. Nobody says that. I go, I know he's my friend, but the galleries called Mike Pal Spruce like it's a joke, so she doesn't believe. Anyway, I'm glad you're here now. He is the second question for you? Well, can I just say one thing for both of you, guys, Rap and hip hop. Rap is the music. Hip hop is the culture because hear the words hip hop culture go to. Hip hop is the culture. Rap is the music that came from the culture. By the way, they are coming here. You know, MTV raps is have this thing at the Barclays. They're actually having a reboot, remember them. It's a tour. They do tour. They're starting at doing the Barclays. They're bringing back Lover and Dr j. Ed Lover is a friend of mine and and Spruce's ed Lover is one of the most famous. Uh, he's an icon in the black community. A friend of mine. By the way, a friend of mine who lives not far from me. I took my daughter. We trick or treated at his house. Okay, Yeah, he's got a nice house and crazy candy. He's black. Wow, as you were, as I was, So one more thing, did I ever tell you the story about the guy? Let me give you a m bed here for this one. You know, this is the MTV TV rap So the nine h number. This has let me clear my throat. They stole it from these people's called by the four are mean? What do you mean by these people racist? Right there? Okay, touch the story about the R and B artist that came up and recorded ideas for us and was like, Yo, check it. This is blah blah blah. You smell me. I'm saying that story. I tell you a story. Yeah, do you remember it was? Don't say? Don't say it was? Do you remember? Okay? Well, I asked people two weeks ago to figure it out, and I would tell them only two people who listen to this podcast figure it out and that was all. But they weren't sure. But they're like, I'm pretty sure it is. So the answer is a lot of people gets a little Wayne, there's what Little Wyne's an R and B singer and Little Wayne doesn't turn it on. Ramp artist, hip hop artist, a little little we and by the way, Power one the biggest hip hop station in New York. Right, their slogan is hip hop and R and B. We got two different things. No, but they refer to hip hop as wrap wrap his hip hop. Well, I'm saying is hip hop is a culture. Okay, and raps them music that comes from hip hop, so they can say hip hop, R and B. I'm gonna lower the email. Music music okay, so yeah, the music the grammar police. But we have a guest, another guest in the studio. We do. People walk in here all the time. Okay, yeah, I not love it. It's cool, it's casual to introduce him. Yeah, let's bring him up with my mom over that one right here up with the light lit up next door to Z one here in New York. It's qour three classic. You don't say the three. It's a classic rock station. But I'm gonna go on as far as to say it's a classic classic rock station. Thank you. One of the greatest rock stations in America, if not the greatest. And someone has to run that station, and that man is Eric. Well, well, man, I'm the one who screws everything up. Now, you've heard Jim Carr come in on the Elvis Raight Morning Show a bunch of times. He's the radio legend who comes and he goes, hello Elvis. He's got that great voice. Well, his boss, the man who says, you know he can come in every day, tells him what songs to play and says, hey, you got food this morning? Where's my food? Actually, say you guys got food this morning? Where's their food? We have taints cookies in the studio. Eric, That's why I'm here. Actually he smelled the bad. Would you like something? I read you something? All right? So I got a text for my wife yesterday. Now she likes a text and novel form. Never know who's gonna shop up on the broken boys. You have to scroll her text. That's how long her texture. But because I never asked her favors, I've only met Elvis once. This is true. She never asked her favors. I've only met Elvis once. But please know that I would love you forever if some kind of unique new cookie arrived at the studio and then in our home. My love for Tates runs deeper than I care to admit. Sometimes because she saw a tweet I guess this was her Facebook post time about the the visit this morning, and then she adds, this is my favorite part about it. She is, Oh, and if there are cookies floating around, flip them to me subtly. I'm not sharing with the kids. Oh wow, okay, okay, so the six and eight year olds you get nothing. Well, well you know what, um, we have a whole new uh a delivery that came in in Elvis's office, so we can actually give you something you're not gonna give away Elvis is cookies the way you gave away my strawberry. Let me tell you earlier, I gotta gift the twelve chocolate coming strawberries. He sees someone guesnind of have one? Sure, no problem, I say you can have one. Let your wife and my wife. I'm gonna bring home chocolate strawberries because it's a French bed in front of my jaw. He sees some salespeople, he gives them two of them. He gives my intern strawberries. He gives Jake, my former intern. He gives me back a box at four strawberries. Elvis is not a bunch of strawberry rappers. I guess it's not a cheap pile of rapper. The differences. Elvis is not a cheap bastard. So he wouldn't mind if I went into his office right now and gave you a couple of bags of taste. He's a big shot with other people's property. How did you like it? How would you like it? If you've got some chicken wings delivered to you, a dozen chicken wings, and I say, can I get a chicken wing? You're like bro to your family. You gonna have a chicken wing. I take a chicken wing, and while you're looking at your computer, three other people come over and they're like, oh sure, help yourself, and I give three people would go out of my office with one hand, that's right, get damn right, and I would walk out with no legs. It's true. If somebody delivered chicken wings, there be no time for you to come over. And that's right. Eric has a as a trick he does. He eats the chicken wing and one bite he puts it in, pulls it out just bones. I know, looks just like the cartoons. Yeah, well I now have I now have book and trophies. Uh for uh you know I heart Radio New York big wing thing, wing eating do it. I'll show up. Yeah yeah. This year they tried to skew it this year though, and I know I've thrown you guys completely off top. We ourselves not so this year they decided. The first year, I just destroyed everybody. So last year I recused my other people were crying. Yeah, it just wasn't even close. So I said, you know what, let the let the like sales systems who can use the gift certificate, you know, let them fight it out. I'll do a demo before the thing and whatever. This year, and not a lot of people were signing up, so like they we need to get you back into it. So I'm like, okay, what do you want me to do? Is so, well, we're gonna do teams this year. We're gonna do teams are two. So against the teams, we'll find you, we'll find some of the partner partner with you and uh, and we'll do a team thing. And so it was like teams of two. You gotta eat twenty wings. Whoever finishes them as a team first wins or there was some time limit, but let's be honest, we're never that time. He tried to put a vegetarian with him. So he tried to pair me with Stacks, your guy who makes all the funny noises. This guy has got a broken arm and is in a cast. It's true, he has got a chicken wing. Uh, and but they wanted to pair me with Stacks. Stax was all said it to go, and then the thing is happening, and you know shows I got stuck here he was, So I'm sitting there, I'm like, so I gotta twenty wings. And all these other guys got to do ten. Even for me, that's a that's a tall order. So I said, you know what, let's ask a crowd. So I said, is there anybody here? You know, we're down the street at the restaurant. I said, is there anybody here who would like to be my partner? You only got to eat about three wings? Three wings? We got this out of twenty. You do three, I do seventeen. No one from the from the office wanted to do it. Carlos, the line cooks like, I'll do it. And it's like, all right, Carlos, do you like the flats? Eat like the drums? Like the drums? Like, okay, great, you focus on the drums. You you grab three of them, you eat them as fast as you can. That's all you need to do. I'll take care of the rest. And they said, go and I take the flats and I start murdering them and just like they're going in, bones are coming out. Got much of a difference to get from seventeen to twenty though, by yourself? Yeah, like I knew, I knew how fast those other guys were gonna do it. And I said, I'm not quite I don't think I was ice as fast as everybody else. This guy is an Olympics the timing anyway. Yeah, so he did exactly three. I did seventeen, and I won and I got book in trophies. Well, now, now in retrospect, could you have done the twenty and beating them? I think I only won by like one wing. So it was right on the time. You had told Carlos two would have been tight. Yeah, yeah, it would have been. Yeah, it was. It was close. Now do you have you ever thought about competitive eating? Like the fourth of July Nathan's Uh, I actually did in a little exhibition. It's one of those guys, the crazy Legs. Hrsh was one of the local guys. Came in to promote it one year and he brought five regulation Nathan's hot dogs for each of us. There was a regulation, so five doesn't sound like a little was just an exhibition. It's like so, so five hot dogs and buns for each of us. It's and and go. And by the way, it's not whether or not your hot dogs regulation, it's what you do with it, thank you very much. So he starts shoveling, and I started shoveling, and we got to three and he looked over noticed I was also at three. Oh that's when I think he decaided, oh well, we'll take care of I did five hot dogs in it was like two minutes he was he was about a minute forty five. But here's what was sick, because it was like nine am. It was with Jim kerr Um the uh, the beverage of choice. They could pick whatever they want to dunk it in right to get the buns wet that I did water because you know whatever. He was actually dunking his hot dogs and coffee because you know, it's the morning, the caffeine the morning. You know, I don't know, man um. That's awesome. Eric, Thanks you guys. This is fun. You can't talk, I know, but I just gotta read the F you list already. This is funny. This is this is people that I've yelled. I rant every episode pretty much, and it's usually about customer service or somebody and I mentioned their name and I say, like, like, f you, Joe. But anyways, Antony Garcia writes to us, and again this could be an inside joke, but anton Garcia wrote to us and she said that she's are in her husband and her husband. Yeah, well they anyway, they listen. Yeah, I'll just brief you quickly that I introduced my husband to your podcast and explained the rants to him and let him listen specifically to all these rast right, right, Okay. Anyway, I went on to explain all the different f you lines that you guys have said over the episodes. I started to wonder what a list of them would look like on paper or on an email. So, while at work over the last couple of weeks, I've really listened to every episode and kept a running tap. But we'll talk more about you know, we know we are from Brooklyn. Dah Boys, Brooklyn, Brooklyn Bah Boys Rock Brooklyn
They might be talking about the whole culture. You know what they're doing. Yeah, yeah, it's wrap. It's okay to say hip hop. But technically you ask any old school guy like a K R. S One or L. L. Cool J, any of those guys rappers, Well there, yes, they're rappers in the hip hop culture, all right, but the rappers also. Rap community is a community of this culture. There the rap world, rap game. I shouldn't be saying these words, should I? Okay? The point is the artist who turned on the street lingo u USh. Yeah. Yeah, So right now, everybody's going I know it. No, no, you didn't. You didn't know it. I'll see you upstands in a little while. I'll see you meet me outside. How about that? All right? Gosh me outside. I'm good for today. You're good, by the way, another episode. I'm sorry, this is becoming the dry cleaning grant. What the pepsi rant? The soda rant? We need more time? Somebody else came in, Antonette Garcia with the baby the Brooklyn Boys f you list and this is clever Brokay, this is the last email. This is the last one. I'm gonna I'm gonna lower the email.
