Speaker 1: I saw a go fund me page the other day and the person was raising money to put away to sock away for a rainy day, and I'm like, I don't know if people are gonna be too generous on that. Well, I think this person realizes the importance of life insurance, but it isn't that expensive. You can comparison shop on websites like policy genius dot com, and I think people are afraid they don't know what life insurance is, and like, how do I get five hundred thousand dollars or a a million dollars for my family if something happens to me. I think they think it's gonna cost much more money. Yeah, And the truth is now it's easier than ever. You could do it from your phone without friends. At policy genius dot com. Go to their website. What's gonna happen is you're gonna start putting away money a little bit at a time. They're gonna teach you how to do it. It's the easiest way to get life insurance online in just two minutes, and they're gonna compare the quotes for you, and all the top insurers are gonna find the best policy for you. So they do the walking, they do the working. But what I like about them even more because this is a you heard last episode right about my problem my insurance company for my car insurance. Well. Policy Genius also compares disability insurance, home insurance, and yet's right auto insurance. So this weekend I'm gonna be shopping for new car insurance because the company I had screwed me. So I don't have to go to a hundred different websites looking for auto insurance. Policy genius dot com compare your auto insurance right there. Over four million people shop for insurance and placed over twenty billion dollars in coverage at policy Genius. It's policy genius dot com. That's the easy way to compare and buy life insurance. And make sure answer that question. At the end, they're gonna ask you where you heard about it. You gotta tell them it was the Brooklyn Boys. Yeah, startuf dot up, Start Up, Brooklyn, start Up, Brooklyn buys start Data. They make a noise data up. Episode one half to fifty seven. Welcome to the Brooklyn Boys Podcast. It's a candy wonder landing here. I can't damn it anymore. Brody, We've got so much candy in here for that time of year. And you know what's gonna be worse is the day after Halloween when everybody dumps their leftovers on us or their kids and all the unwanted trick or treat candy. It all ends up in the station and it's all around the studio, all around the counters. But to add insult to injury, not only we have candy, but somebody showed up with a case of pop tarts. And now there's five opened boxes of pop Tarts lingering. Do you know how close I am to going to take one and throwing it in your atomic toaster down the hall. Let me tell you something everyone, when we were on for nine minutes at a time, Yeah, everyone was laughing at David Brodie's atomic toaster that I brought from home. And now with the pop tarts here, everybody's loving the atomic toaster because they come out crispy. Yeah. Brodie brought in this nineteen seventies model and it's this thing pure metal. They don't make it like this sin Oh no, you could think you could hit it with a car. This is like getting a HESH truck in the seventies when they were like metal for those of you who remember hes gas stations at HAS trucks, Well, yeah, but the hestruck is national because everybody goes to the website to get them. Now it's a thing. Now they made a plastic plastic on plastic crap. That's like every toy. It's like lunch boxes. Do people even carry lunch boxes anymore? Remember your lunchbox? When you drive by the schools in your van, do you see any you know what? I had a he Man and the Masters of the Universe metal lunchbox. It was awesome. And the thernis. I mean, I don't know what the thermis was made of, and I don't know if I was you know, you know, drinking aluminum. But I'll tell you that thing kept my apple juice cold and that was the best thing ever. Then one day all the lunch boxes turned to plastic. It was terrible. Yeah. I had the old metal rusty ones, that's what I said started them. I still have my lunch box and thermis from when I was a kid, the metal one. Yeah, Rusty. I'm an only child. As you've pointed out many times. I hate by the way. I hate when people go I was the only child. You still are unless mom and dad had like more kids recently, you could say I was only child, but then my parents got remarried whatever, and I had new kids. But if you were only child and you still have no siblings, you're still an only child. That's true. You want, Oh, I wasn't only child, but you still are. I remember the dark day when they started going. All the metal went away, and then it was turned to plastic and garbage, and then then the lunch boxes with crack. Did you ever a plastic lunch box? No? No, okay, all my sister had. I think she had like strawberry shortcake. It was like pink, but I had this little white flip thing and and the thing broke off, so then she had to like masking tape the lunch box to stay on. It was. It was just awful. It was just you know, And then they went away, and then people started brown bagging their lunch. But I think that lunch boxes are making a comeback, or are they now in that like foam thing you know that. I think kids are using your kids, My kids just with the like either disposable tupperware or they have um containers that screw on, like the lid screws down, so whatever is in it is locked in. The problem with the like they have like big thermis is they're like big metal but like but but they're not like narrow for drinks their wide right. The problem with my kids and my wife doesn't like things that that like rot or mold or like old milk. I'm in charge of getting rid of that stuff. So last night she hands me this, this cylinder. It's about eight inches high, let's say four inches wide enough you could put like soup. Right, she says, I found this in in our youngest kid's bag. Um, you need to throw it out, I said, the whole thing. No, just open it up. Whatever in bottle because swell bottles or what did I describe a swell bottle? No, my kids have a hundred swell bottles all over the house. They're everywhere. You can't walk around like the old days you'd step on lego pieces. Now it's swell bottles. You gotta I have to learn how to like barrel roll like long, roll on them because I step on them all time. Right when we get free stops, sometimes it'll say, like the name of the show, we love those. I got a white castle one I was very excited about the white Castle when my kids took it. Oh well, yeah, anyway, real quick. So I opened the lid and my wife hasn't look on her face like that's your job, get ready? And I said how long? And she says four weeks? What? Yeah, she switched backpacks and that's in the that was in the other backpack from four weeks ago, in the in the September backpack, and now she's in October backpack. And so I opened it and it was pasta with with red sauce. But now it's pasta with green sauce. Oh God, that's disgusting. And now I had to dump it into the garbage and I'm chasing it out. Left it in there. You had the kids do it all the time. She takes after her dad. I do need leave empty plates hanging around? I okay, I leave the plates in the studio. By the way. Uh what today is to right on Elvis at Elvis Durant on Instagram right yesterday, Yes, they filmed it. He filmed it yesterday, one of the two days. Yesterday. He filmed me in my plate. Because what I do is we all get free food in the morning. We eat like pigs whatever, gove homes. And then sometimes people will throw the plate out they're done, or sometimes people will throw the plate out go back in another plate. I like a season plate. It's got a little sauce on and I'm good like I like that. Plus I was raised to not waste things. But so no, no, I leave the plate knowing I'm going back for more. So I leave it and I take the plate back with me and I put more on the same plate. When I used to work in a catering hall at a as the wedding you know, you know, cocktail hour server, I will tell you what the most disgusting thing people did was take a play from the buffet. They fill up their cocktail our plate. They would eat off the plate and then they would take their dirty ass fucking plate and then they would do it. They would they would point, you know, they would They would put it in my face and I would be on the other side serving them the trump it and then hold on, yeah, that was spoon. My spoon is gonna touch their plate. You have to do like six inches above and go click. You can flick it down like potatoes. Click. No, okay, here's a better idea, put the fucking dirty plate in the bus. Well, you got a brand new plate. You should probably say to them, you know, I can't you use the plates the plate with the fork and the crumpled napkin. And they're standing there and they're going. What's worse is when you go to a salad bar like this happened to Ruby Tuesdays. Love Ruby Tuesday is not a sponsor, and you go and they and you take your own food, right, but with the salad tongs, it's when they take the tongs and they've touched it to the plate and like like they go, they go, like they clack it on the plate, terrible like plate. See what I do is when I go to buffet, I don't know how you are. Some people go to buffett a little bit of everything and they figure out what they like. I take a lot of everything, assuming I'm gonna like it, and I don't like to have to keep getting up, so I take a full plates. About you, Yeah, I'm lazy, I'm a big eating You saw you did two plates at a time. I don't then know I fill up the one plate. I'm not gonna come on two plates? What am I? I felt the one plate I I I loaded up. See, I eat it all. But if I don't, if I don't eat all of the bacon or all of the sauces or whatever, then I'll go another plate. I'm not bashful. I don't. I just I just take a plate. I'm like, you know what, I'm gonna come back three or four times. Ye to do that. But but if you load the plate up and you want to go back twice, it looks like you want have been back twice. I don't want the guy at the chafing dish knowing my name. I don't want to go back seven times. Oh look he's back again. I just loaded up. Okay, and I go back twice. But what's worse, somebody, You're sitting there and everyone's walking by you, and they're staring at you, sitting down with like a you know, big giant ass plate full of food in front of you. Look at me. Overstopped. The linguini is falling off the side of the piano. I don't. I don't have a fall at all. I mounded up high straight. I build a building six and one half does of the other. That is that? Is that? What it is? Yeah? So we have a lot to get to today. Do I know you have a phone call? We do? Uh? People. By the way, a lot of people texting us one D is our phone number, but you wouldn't know that. We don't have to call you back. Don't call us. Don't call us. By the way, we're probably home by the time you hear this. Don't about the num. By the way, you can give out the phone number for the ALPS Dight morning show. But when when people text in, hey, what's your number? You could have already googled that. People, what's your number? What's your website? Google it? Used the welcome text messages. Brook This is an area code. UH three one. Brooklyn Boys are my drinking partners every Thursday. Hurry up and record the freaking podcast. I'm bored as ship all the way from California, drinking and listening in California. So apparently uh this California. He ties one on because he does. He's part of the Daytime Drinking Club. That will be the d d C Daytime Drinking Club d D the d d C Daytime one word Daytime Drinking. Uh. Some quick text coming in because I want to acknowledge you guys, because you're awesome. Uh, let's see this one here, Oh, this one here, this one over here. Uh, commenting they were hoping that we would cover the Bamby topic from this morning. They're saying that Bamby is creepy because it shows how hunters can call can kill, uh, can call deer. I don't know what was that. It was a Disney reference. I don't know. I know, but I don't want to. I don't know. Well, they wanted us to cover any start up startup. This person says to three nine scary stole Elvis's food last week. That's why I texted in the that's Thomas, so we'll get to Thomason. While he wrote on we're making noise startup. Also love the Brooklyn Boys from Oregon. We're not from Oregon. Well they're from Oregon, so I thought you were saying this Brooklyn Boys in Oregon. Hey, Jordan's thanks for listening to the Brooklyn Boys podcast. Much love from It's not Oregon, by the way, it's Oregon. It's Oregon, Oregon. And then this guy truck Oregon, ore No, Oregon. Also from Chicago. This guy trucks to Chicago. Hey, Brooklyn Boys with a Z listening to last week's podcast waiting for the new episode. Yes, I put a Z instead of S to make Brodie grinch scary. Wrong, Brody is right? What is that? Even? Okay? I think he means hold on. I don't think he's meaning I'm gonna grinch. I think he means um that I'm gonna be upset, but not grinch. Maybe he means grimace. Grimace like Grimace, that's a that's a typo, not not a grammar police. I wouldn't grinch unless he was thinking of grimacing. But I'm not gonna grine. I'm not gonna like you're a mean one and mr gonna do that? All right? Well we do. So. Somebody texted and I called her back. This. I want to talk about this because it also reminds me about the name of the show. Is that person put a C on the end of it? Which is cool? Whatever, It's all good. Hey is this Aaron? Hi? Thank you for texting and we called you back. Thank you for a supporter. Here. Where are you from Ohio town? Nice? Nice to have you there. We called you back and you saw you saw Elvis Tran on your phone? Yeah, because I have the numbers saved in on my phone. So I sat down at work and I was like, oh my god, I was Brand's calling me, but that I said, Nope, it's broody and scary calling time. Hey, hey, hey, well, thank you for thank you for listening to us. Of course, I appreciate my favorite podcast of all time because you're so funny, and I just feel like I know you guys, like I can't explain it, but I talked about you all the time, like you're my friends. Thank you. You want to tell everybody what you did, because you really you really caught my attention when you texted, and I love you. We haven't even announced this to the audience yet, but some people know. Oh okay, you mean about your podcast being up for the Best Comedy Lord, that's correct, Okay, Yes, So what I've been doing is every single day I go on the website and I vote five times. And then Brody actually tweeted me back and he said, well, you know that you can vote. I'm going to go through and vote for every single email that I have, And I said, that's a great idea. So I've been voting for you guys like crazy through different emails that I have every single day to backtrack what Aaron's talking about. Um, we are up for I Heart Radios Podcast Awards. It's called If you go to the website I Heart podcast Awards dot com, you will see that The Brooklyn Boys is nominated for Best Comedy Podcast. They're gonna be doing a live streaming awards show in mid and January. I think it's on a Friday night in January in Los Angeles and it's gonna be live, which is kind of is that would that be ironic because aren't live? Well, they're gonna I guess they're gonna stream it live. But we are completely utterly honored and surprised, frankly that we were nominated for Best Comedy Podcast. Because Brody's gonna tell you who else we're up against in this category. I think that's a mistake. I'm not going to do that against some very cool talent, some some big podcasters. Yeah, so some of whom we respect. We respect these let me get a word in go for it some thank you. Um. Yes, So some of the people go up against us are pioneers of podcasting. Oh that's a great an amount of pe they are, that's their pioneers. Of pioneer podcasters. Their pioneers are podcasting, uh, and some of them are very talented, big name TV celebrities. But here's the thing. We're in that category and it's based on fan votes. And I'd like to think, based on a response we've gotten so far, that we have a shot of winning this thing because our fans have been ridiculously voting every day, five to six times a day. And I'm gonna give you some hands on if you want to Aaron, you and everybody else and vote more than five times, but if you, I would like to think that as brilliant a talent as Mark Marin is, he's not getting out the vote like we are. Are we getting out? We're rocking the vote? Okay, well we It's a big election coming up, maybe the biggest election of our lifetimes. I keep hearing on television, but it's can you imagine? Can imagine? It's like actually like walking on stage that stage that night and accepting an award. It's like, I understand, I'm not I would never people who know me know me, I would never never minimize the importance of voting for governors and senators and congressmen and women, right very important November six, But this is this is the election of your life. We we have we we would love to win. UM. We've been doing this for over a year. And the fact that we got recognized by our company. UM, we are the only on air I Heart Media talent that's in our category. The rest all big celebrities and UH and the well deserving, they all do great podcasts. But we would love to win this for our company and for our morning show and for our slices who have gone gone crazy voting for us when we appreciate. So the I Heart Radio Podcast Awards is based on podcasts that they carry, and as you know, the i Heeart radio platform is an awesome platform to experience podcasts. UH. If you if you look at the field, there's thousands of podcasts that you can access now. But that doesn't mean that they originate from the I Heart Radio app. They a lot of them are outside companies. But we all love, all serve all, and we carry all these podcasts. So yes, so so we're up against that talent. It would be nice to represent that night and walk across the stage and accept the piece of glass. I don't know what they're gonna give out. What do you think a podcast award looks? Maybe they give us iPods. I don't know. I don't know, I don't know what. Maybe I would like a microphone. Microphone would be nice, Aaron, what do you think that the probably should look like? What should a podcast award look like? Oh? Jeez, I think all for you guys, it should be. But I would say the alright, well, we'll accept anything. We'll accept, but listen. Maybe something free dessert free deserve. Yes, we like that. That's a good idea. It might sound cliche, but we are honored. It's an honor just to be nominated. Now, Erin, you voted with your Gmail account. I voted with my emails Yahoo work email. Yeah, okay, I don't know. Yeah, so you can work with a regular emails. You're entitled to vote five times a day for us, and you can do it. By the way, you can hit all the five to being wrong. Let's let's explain. Let's start with the basic everybody through the basic rule. What's the website? Scary? It's I heart Podcast dot com or I Heart Podcast Awards dot com. Whatever. You'll see the big page. Scroll down to the comedy section. It's a red. It's a red box. It's his comedy. And just hit vote now. You have to hit the box. You see the five nomin ease, yes, scroll down to us. You guys know the logo. It's orange and blue. Vote your vote now and then vote and then go to us and then click on us. And then you might have to sign into your Heart radio account whatever it might. You signed into your Gmail account, Gmail, okay, whatever your Facebook. The point is then it'll say, hey, you want to do these extra four votes and you're like, yes, you want to put all five votes in our category in one felt swoop? You can do that? What kind of swoop? Felt swoop? It's it's fell, one fell swoop. It's not felt, not not like felt like feltman, you know it's not felt, right, It's not one fell swoop. I heard I thought it was felt. No you are felt swoop? No? No, no, no, one fell swoop? Well, why is it fell? What does that even mean? Where you can google that? Well? Why don't you google? Will Mr Knowledge? Well? What is it? Tell me on the spot, don't google it. It's it's when you when it's when you bring a spelled on It's like when you take the Scooper for your your your raisin brand and it falls into the raisin brand. You scoop it up. One fell s one one fell scoop. That's I don't know what you're talking about. Two scoops. Well, anyway, Aaron, we want to thank you. Well hold on and one Fell Swoop. You could do the five votes, okay, but that's just one place. You If you have different accounts and different browsers, you can then vote on those different places and you know you can actually get your extra five votes. But you can do five a day for us at the very minimum. And then if you vote, you can vote on Twitter. But you have to include a bunch of hashtags. And this is where it gets a little complicated. You have to include hashtag, the hashtag Brooklyn Boys hashtags. They have it as hashtag Brooklyn Boys by the way, so you have to go that's on Twitter. That's to get the vote to make it count hashtag Brooken Boys, hashtag comedy podcast and a hashtag is an I Heeart podcast awards. See this is where it gets confusing. You said you had the information had one job hashtag. While you're looking that up. One Fell Swoop comes from Shakespeare, and he's talking about his servants. Uh, and he uses the imagery of a bird of prey like a vulture of some kind fell. The fell swoop is a bird falling in a rapid descent, swooping down and grabbing their prey like Raisin brand I was right, so, and I was. You have to include all three of these in your Twitter or an Instagram post a day. It's hashtag I heart podcast awards, hashtag Brooklyn Boys, and hashtag comedy podcast. Okay, but you can do that on Twitter and Instagram and Facebook one time a day each. So you got another three votes right there, But it has to include all three of those in your post. Now, I keep tweeting out the the I voted for the Brooklyn Boys and the hashtags, and I say, just copy and paste mine and then retweet it. So much easier that way. Now, can I please tell people how to vote more than five times? Yes? Give me secret? No, I of course I do. It can only be so. The regular rules are five to one Gmail account, and then you can tweet once per day. However, as Eron knows, I have four Gmail accounts. That's twenty votes, right, And what I did was on my phone. I have an Android phone. I have multiple browsers, So when each browser, I logged in with a different Gmail account. So every day, if I opened up Chrome, that's logged into one of my Gmail accounts, opened up Firefox, that's already logged in another one, so uh and yandy, yeah yeah, yandy. So all my browsers are set to my different Gmail accounts. So that's five votes a day. Now I have I have four Twitter account By the way, I haven't voted today, but I have to do my vote. Yeah, I have four Twitter accounts. So each day, with my four Twitter accounts, I vote once. Then I take my Facebook page and logged it with my Facebook page on browser number five, and I vote my Facebook page. This guy. Now, that's up to votes a day. Okay, that's what I'm doing. I'm getting it done now. I feel like I feel you have. You haven't watched on the news, and I go, uh, here's uh so and so governor voting for himself the election. Like on election day, the governor went to his local polling place and he voted for himself, which of course he does. And then you go, well, he's voting for himself. That's what we're doing here. Yeah, but I'm doing it uh as I want to make sure it works as a way for Look you look, if you guys really want to do that for us, we would really appreciate it. By the way, what does voting end? Because I'm looking at I haven't seen it. Just keep going, baby, every day, you know what the contest ends January. I guess the right. I would imagine we're gonna get an email that says, when the voting ends, let's will email about that. But here's the thing. All the graphics that they've been sending out, there's an I Heart Podcast Awards Instagram they say Brooklyn Boys, We're gonna get that fixed. Were the Brooklyn boy. But when tweeting and instagramming, you have to use the hashtag Brooklyn because that's the way they set it up. There's a I can't keep up with all the people who are tweet tweeting me that they voted for us. And then we're really appreciative because it's it's a nice thing to do that, but there are people doing it every day and that means a lot to us. So thank you, Aaron. You are slice for life. Yes, you are a slice for Life. You know what, Aaron, what size shirt you wear anything? You know what, I'm gonna send you a one size fits all invisible shirt and we're gonna go ahead and ruin it for you with invisible ink. So enjoy. That's part of the Hall of fame right there, the Slice for Life, the fact that you knew what I was gonna say. You had a joke back ready to go, Aaron, You're great. Thank thank you for voting for us every day, every day, every day. Appreciate you guys, are so welcome. You're what have we been interrupting for you for the past fifteen minutes? That's part of your day that you're not doing right now and concentrating on us instead. Yeah, what do you do? What a therapist? Scary email? Scar of your number? A physical therapists? Okay, well, it's very important. If someone's a physical therapist, they say that or they say they're a PT, which is annoying. If you don't know what that means, then you have to explain that. Have you been analyzing these episodes like secretly real quick? Because I just reminded me because we didn't go into a dark place right now? Yeah, I can talk to about my childhood. I was I'm an only child. You know that, right? Anyway, Aaron, don't you hate when people speak in their work lingo and expect you to understand what that means? Oh yeah, right, Like when people go I'm I'm a pet, or they'll say, like you know, they'll use initials and you're like, what are you talking about. I once had a problem with a satellite TV provider, not the one I use now, which is direct TV, but another one years ago, and and they had a sail running or something and they were they weren't living up to it. And the woman at the time, this is like fifteen years ago, She's like, excuse me, that was a cute three promotion. This is a cute for promotion. If it was a cute three promotion, we would honor. But it's a cute for promotion. And at the time, I didn't know what the hell they were talking about. So I'm like, what's a cute three promotion? That means that means it's only Q three. So I said, can you speak to me in English please? What does that mean? It means it's not valid in Q four. Oh I get that. So I don't know what Q three is at one and now it's Q four right now people are screaming it means So what it means is third quarter, fourth quarter? Right, But their lingo at work was Q three Q. They shouldn't assume that you the everyday common man common But yes, this was close that. This was like, this was a long This was sevent eighteen years ago. But I was like, can you speak to me like? I don't work for your company? Was also back when that company was relevant. Yeah, they've fallen off. I know which one you're talking about. Have the football package? You've fallen off. You're done. You don't have NFL Sunday ticket, right, Aaron, thank you so much for texting and listening to that. Of course, a rider rider eron rider I I tweet with her all the time. Hi, Aaron, No, I didn't realize it was Aaron Ryder If you said Aaron riding like, oh it's Aaron Ryder. All right, Aaron, thank you, see I'll see you on Twitter. All right. Nice. Now here's the thing. A call like that is fantastic, but it's also going to encourage people to text like crazy. We got a lot of great text message. We just can't call all of them because we're not doing a live show where we can just hit a button and pick you up. We got a call back and it's all that. Yeah, Jamie's texting in right now about free dessert. I wanted to say that he got this other person has a problem with Panera. Oh my god, but I have a rant about Panera for you guys. You know according why don't you email us? It scary? What's the email dress the Brooklyn Boys Podcast at gmail dot com. We'll look it over and if it makes sense for us, we'll have you on. Uh may put your phone and burn that email. I want to just real quick, speaking of free dessert, Charlie Shepherd at Charlie shep Uh. Let me tell you something, Matt David Brodie. I've been listening to the Brooklyn Boys podcast so much. I'm going to try and get my parents free dessert because this company they are making a big purchase with is screwing them like blood pressure is through the roof. And you put three little emojis who are angry, little angry faces. Charlie Shepherd keep us in the loop. Yeah, let us know. Also, I'm getting a lot of text messages from Let's see not not t tweets from Let's see Doug Curran. Doug Curran does TV in Texas. He's like an actual like TV guy. Right. Also our friend Sierra Gore, who has been tweeting us forever. Oh, she's got two missues and let me tell you, we got pictures now to prove it. We can go to corporate with what she sending us. So, so Sierra Gore sent me a picture. She said, Oh my god, this drive through thing is an epidemic. Uh, look what they Look what they're doing now. Uh, Sierra, I'm here for you. I'm putting in all the extra letters you left out. Um. They've got two parking spaces with banners, you know, like this handicap signs. So they're like giant stanchions, like big yellow basses with flags on them. Spot one reserve for drive through. Spot two reserve for drive through. Right this place the name she didn't mention, it's in George. It's in George Carl's Jr. No, this is not the hardiest one, she said, is a different one. It's a yellow and green. Who's the one with the star, the smiley face star. I'm staring right at it from Sierra Gore. No, I'm looking at a different one. Hold on, Oh my god, she's she's scouting them all out. So this, this freaking place has designated parking spaces, so they know they're gonna go, Oh, you're in the drive through. Pull right up to the parking space that's designated for drive through. You know what the funk out of here? Drive through means drive through, It doesn't mean drive through. Keep going till you get to the parking space. She she found another one, another one, parties, this is the one. Its hearties. Oh, I thought Carl's Junior had a smiling star. No, Carl, Well, Carl's Junior and Hardy's are the same company. Regionally's got a smile. He's smiling, and he's it's it's a yellow star with a red red face, like a red smiley face. Can't read what it says, It doesn't say anything. But anyway, well, I don't think they have Carl's Junior in the south anyway. Think the West Coast thing. The signs blurry in the background. It looks like it might be Carls Jr. All right, whatever it is, that's another place that's two places now reserved for drive right, let me get back to Doug current. That's at Doug Carr and c U R R I N again. He's on the television waiting for fast food. Someone needs uh some David Brody logic and he wrote hashtag I L l N E V A h h h h h h h P U L l l U P, which is I'll never pull up and if you should did not, you should say I'm just gonna sit here that I'm gonna turn my engine off and I'm gonna wait. So Doug is sitting at the drive through. He sent me on a I'm gonna post the do what Brody did when he grabbed the grape soda. Just say no, I'm good. To say I'm good. No, I said, we're good, well good, we'll good, we'll good, We're good. I'm gonna what I told the fast food places to try. I mean, I'm not I'm gonna sit you all right. Trying the car off. He took a picture from his car through the windshield to the car in front of him. That's where parked by the garbage pail stop. It don't have drive throws. If you can't get people out through the drive drow and you know what they all said when I tweeted them, they said there was nobody behind them. It wasn't like they would getting moved along. They were just like, Oh, we don't want to get timed. Pull it to the by the garden, get timed. Do your job. The job's working a drive throw, get people out, let's go, let's go in and out. They call it fast food for a reason. It's fast. Does in and out have drive throws? Uh? In and out burger? Oh, absolutely they do. I also want to make I don't think that. I don't think they would do that though, with the signs to get in and out, let's go because they're in and out. Speaking of food real quick, I want to give a shout out to Jimmy Kimmel. I got a plus in the minus the pluses if you got at Jimmy Kimmel on Instagram. Jimmy Kimmel last week, Uh, he filmed his show for the whole week in Brooklyn. I like Jimmy, very talented, very funny man. When he films in Brooklyn, his show has a vibe is signed behind him, says Brooklyn. He puts the farrest pizza on the stage, so it looks like a storefront one of our favorite pizza places. Right. It's all very New York and the whole show has a New York vibe. He puts new guests on and people have been sending it. They send him New York food. So the first day he got a cow Zone and he got LM. B. S. Pimoney Gauden's Pizza, our place, our guys, right, welcome to Brooklyn. I get it. Obviously has a taste for good pizza. But his the thing with Jimmy Kimmel, and maybe you feel differently about this. He always says he's from Brooklyn. He's from Brooklyn. He is from Brooklyn, from Brooklyn. He grew up in Las Vegas. He moved when he was nine years old. Right, So he moved from his nine years old to Brooklyn as a connection to the East Coast to combat the shows that are recorded on the East Coast for late nineteen I'm in Brooklyn. So does he have any real memories of Brooklyn? Does he? Sure? He played you know, stoop Ball, and he played in the street. He had nine years. You never have any significant memories. His parents are from Brooklyn. So he was raised with a Brooklyn vibe. I get that, he was raised to appreciate Brooklyn food. I get that, But I have a feeling he didn't fall in love with Ellen Beast of Montegon's Pizza until he was an adult and went back. I feel like, when you move you're from there. I get it. But he's from Las Vegas. He always says he's from Las Vegas. He was born in Brooklyn. But that being said, what do you think you think like he's from right? Okay, no, he's You can't sound like he's a Vegas guy. I think that you need your your formidable years. Those is that property? Yeah, those are the years the coming of age to fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, teenager. You know, the middle school, high school. You you you need to at least experience middle school to high school in an area and then if you move away and when you go to college. I get it. It's like Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan was born in Brooklyn. They moved out of Brooklyn when he was like two years old. If it was one, I don't care claimed to like claim to Brooklyn, right, But people in Brooklyn, like, you know, Michael Jordan was born in Brooklyn. What does that mean for you and me? Nothing? That's like when say they say Frank Sinatra wasn't Hoboken. Now, I'll tell you this. He spent a lot of early early years in Hoboke. But he if you take a look and you google this, he trashed the funk out of Hoboken, He really does. He said some terrible things. He called it a sewer, and he would never come back. Hold on. But yet, when he moved to Vegas and he went all around the country, Mr l a guy and he became popular. Chairman of the board. What chairman of the board, he said, chairman, Chairman of the board, he said, chairman of the board. No, listen, just hear me out four legs. Despite all the ship that he said, he talked such crap about Hoboken a sewer, and he'd never leave and he'd never come back. Hoboken still says they love him. There's a place on the waterfront called Blue Eyes. There's his home, and the Sinatra Ways, the street named after him. They love this guy. They love him. And I'm like, but he trashed the hell out of you. Why would you want to be you know what I would have like pot they leave out of the definition nothing but nostalgia. And there was this place called you know he went to this bar when he was growing up. Yeah, okay, that's great. He's from Hope. You think, do you think all those places where it says George Washington slept here? You think he loved every place he slept in? No. But the thing is, but but I'm like, why do we embrace it? I don't know who trash is the place that where is embracing because Frank Sinatra is such a legend that they'd rather suck it up and praise him and go. He used to come here for rose peef sandwiches. But but he's wiping his feet on them like a doormats. Hope has gotten tremendously fantastic in the lesson right he This wasn't Sinatra's hopeboken I'm not saying by any stretch of the imagination. But the way that the town embraces him, I'm just they think about Okay, so one least thing about Jimmy Kimmel. I like Jimmy Kimmel. I watched him. I want you know, I watch all the late night talk shows every night, or the next day, when Jimmy Kimmel does the show in Los ange in Los Angeles, in Hollywood, right, He's got the Hollywood Sign and Hills and Hollywood and the whole thing. It's too glitzy for me that the whole set doesn't look right. The chair is that it's sort of like floating in the middle of a huge stage. It's in the middle of nowhere. His audience isn't that large. It sounds large when he shows it, it's not that big, not that big of an audience, And I just feel it's very like show busy l A. And I realized I'm not very show busy l A. I like when he's what comes to Brooklyn and he's like, Hey, let's have some pizza, Let's have some New York guests on, and that people come, they don't dress up, you're a little more casual. I think I like that better. That's why I like the vibe of The Tonight Show and Colbert better, because they're like New York guys, you know, like Seth Meyers, like, Hey I'm in New York. I'm Seth Myers. But like you go and watch what's his face. I love James Cordon but his show also very l a very dress up Glitzye not my style. It's a West Coast vibe. So I give Kimmel credit. I think his shows in Brooklyn are fantastic. But you know, you know people in your life that's say they're on where you're from, You're like, you're not from here. You're not from here. Like when people go on from the streets, You're like, we didn't grow up in the streets. Like when people try to act like this street, You're like, you grew up in the suburbs. And I called the sack cut it out. Oh but I hung out in the streets. No, you didn't. I I just don't think kimblton Brooklyn. I mean technically, but not really. Am I wrong? No, you're right now, I will I will say this. Uh uh. Here's something that we talk about, the shop being from a place that you claim you are or not. Bro, do you hate this. I'm gonna go down this road right now, and you're you're gonna jump all over this. But I heard an example of this on the radio this morning ahead coming in on one of the news stations. They were doing an ad for life Link, which is I guess it's patient home care. You know, they provide healthcare in the home. It was a sixty second commercial featuring two people named Sylvia and Morty. And by the way, that's a reference to like the nanny they Frank Dresser. There was Sylvia that had Sylvia Morty things several years back. Does not my problem the issue I had with this commercial, and I hear it every morning. I'm gonna tape it, i'na try and get it on my phone, and we're gonna play it next week. So I gotta bring in the present. You know where I'm going with this. Sylvia and Morty are supposed to be the stereotypical Jewish couple, and it's like, oh, oh, Sylvia, um, let me tell you about this, and then Sylvia goes, oh, Morty says, let me tell you about that guy, like the Edith and Archie bunker, except hold on, here's here's here. Please don't think Jews sound like that. Well, here's the problem. They're not using real Jews. These are Los Angeles actors pretending to be Jewish, or what they think is what a Jewish accents that sounded. You're going to if you are going to do a commercial featuring Jewish stereotypical characters Sylvia and Morty. I would fucking hope that they chose or casted people who were actually Jewish then or not. These are people that are not the Jewish grammar police the grammar why are you grammar police? Because the past tense of cast is cast, cat got casted. I don't give a hit the jingle gramlesage. You could cast someone or no. No, it's acceptably either way. I'm you know what, fuck you Brodie hashtag fuck you Brodie. I was right. You can't grammar police me on that cast cast. The past tense of cast is cast. It's cast, but depends on how you're not talking about the things you put your arm in. When you cast someone in a play, you said casted, it's cast. She was casting. She was cast in this episode of That is proper. Don't derail me. Don't deraild me. When you're wrong, you're wrong. The Oxford Dictionary records casted as being used in the past tense of cast from the Middle English. But cast is acceptable. The last time it was acceptable it was fifteen twenty six, but it was still accepted. It's no longer part of of of of our culture. Cast it as an old form. Examples are easily but it doesn't make it wrong. No, we don't. We say theater th H E, A, t R, E and E R same thing. Let me check stack exchange. Hold on, that's terrible. The singers don't line You're wrong. The singers don't Who did that, coach boy Josh? The singers don't line up there, don't sing at the same time. I'm not wrong. It's terrible. I love coach to boy Josh, but that's terrible. But I'm right. You cast, they were cast. They were cast, they were not cast. I wrote, I wrote that one. I wrote that one play the Bastie Boys one. You're wrong there I should be fight fight. Yeah, it's not there. No, I don't know if it is what should be that? I said casts, no cast, you said cast it. That's why I called you out. But either way it is either way, it's either way. It's okay, he said, thou art. I were like, what are you talking about? If you're cast or casting and something. You can't say casting. You can say both. You can't both. No, you can modern day grammar police. Sorry, you're wrong. I'm not rarely wrong, not not wrong. I'm not wrong. So if you're a school teacher, tweets where a stalemate, it's either way. But anyway, okay, this is coming from one felt swoop guy. Can I say something? Sure? You always do. I want to go. I just think it's awful that they're not using Jewish actors that actually know how to do that accent or actually are authentic. Here's what I'll tell you want to do. They were they were looking for authentic New York or South flankersta I think Boca. Okay, But here's the here's why they're doubly wrong. You have to be Jewish to know this. Morty and Sylvia we're old Jewish people's names. In the eighties and nineties, like Seinfeld Morty would be like, oh Morty, right, But people named Morty and Sylvia now to be seventies something years old. Weld had to be born in the forties. People weren't calling their Jewish kids Morty and Sylvia in the forties and fifties, so now it's like Judy and Carol. Problem is the people that are writing the scripts on this, they're they're doing the creative they're probably Robert. They're having memories of what it was to be Morty and Sylvia back then edwards. These are these are like David my Grant, you know, uh Jack, these are names of Morty and Sylvia are stereotypes that need here twenty years ago. But they're wrong for the wrong and then they're wrong, yes, for people who wrote the commercials aren't current Jews, and then people or they're old, so that's doubly wrong. How about that other commercial place here in New York with that talk about the subway, you know, like I told him to take the F That's what I told him. Bullshit, because they told about how to get the trains, like what train to take and like how to give directions, and she goes, I told him to take the f the F train, right, and he goes, that's what I said. What he should have said was I told him to take the friggin take a to go take a frigging F two. Like we wouldn't say it the way he said it. You're not not from here. So what happens that Jimmy Kimmel's Rights Road. A lot of times, A lot of times they hire actors that that aren't that they're just a los Angeles, the Los Angeles actors playing a part. And I just thought that you would be infuriated, said, you're more infuriated overcast versus casted. Well, I gotta listen. I you derailed it. You just threw me. You can't say casted, you can bastard casted. You're wrong now because I was right. You cast you were cast or cast it in a play, doesn't matter you were cast. Nobody says casted. Nope, not correctly. Sorry, whatever, we move on. Uh, let's see oh more things people don't know because of of time. We talked about on hold a busy signal. Rather, cell phones don't have busy signals, right, They go to voicemail when you call them. Okay, most people have at their homes. If they have a house phone, probably have coal waiting. Okay. So the only way you get a busy signal is if you call someone who has a landline and they have call waiting and both lines are busy, or if they don't have coal waiting, which I can't imagine. Um, but we get people who text into our show who don't know what it means to call a landline and here a busy signal, and when our phone. Look, we have twenty phone lines, right, we do a contest, oh free money phone tap call now and win a trip or free money or whatever. And people calling, they go, you have you've phones are busy? Something's wrong. Well, I'm pretty sure that more than twenty people are trying to win the money or the trip or whatever. So when all twenty lines fill up, what happens You get a busy signal. Now, when enough people call, and we're talking about tens of thousands of people, maybe not but maybe yeah, a lot, it's a lot of people are calling, right, Well, then what happens is the phone lines get overloaded. The phone company provides a phone that normally gets like fifty people calling it, like nobody calls your house. Who calls your house? A thousand people don't call your house. So it's set up to take let's say a thousand people calling it once to get through the funnel to get a busy signal. Once that gets overloaded, it says boomboo, like arish the number you've reached or there's a problem answered, it's not available. Then people like your phone's broken. They have no clue but any of this that it's normal. So a day, somebody texted in, Um, I keep getting a busy signal? Should I just stay on hold and keep waiting for the busy signal? Well, if you've never heard a busy signal before. To my knowledge, there's not a phone you can call in the world that if you call a busy signal when it's no longer busy, it suddenly opens up. I'm surprised they have to come with that technology. But you, I mean it probably younger, younger person, so I'm sure it was. So then I wrote back, No, it stays busy, it will never change to not busy. So then they texted back, so should I hang up and call back? Well? What options do you have at that point? If you stay on, you're gonna hear the So what's your other option to hang up and call back? It seemed like an odd question. I'm not I'm just saying, you know, but my point was people don't know that old technology. People don't eat no busy signals anymore. Okay, that's all nothing wrong with that. Hey, at the end of the last podcast, I wanted to just I was teasing. I wanted to talk about buffet eggs, and I was so angry. You got beef, I got beef. I know. My problem is this, and I'm just gonna be real brief about this. I'm gonna be brief about my beef. Talking about places that places that served, like the chafing dishes, like at a at a hotel. Pull the dish back, the lid back to get what I learned is back in the kitchen again, back to my catering days. When they would do these buffet breakfasts, they would undercook the eggs on purpose because they felt that putting them in the shafing dish swoop, the one with one fell swoop, that the eggs would quagulate. Is that a word? That's not the word. Whatever the word is, it's okay, I'm gonna go through this with you. Whatever it is, the eggs will not form. Can I help you out? Yeah, help me out. Okay, it's coagulate. Coagulate or congeal or congeal, neither of what you just said. Well, either way, the point is these eggs would then harden up a little bit and then turn into like, you know, more scrambling eggs. Okay, we're talking about scrambled eggs. Here's the problem. They turned into They they scramble, but they all develop onto the top a crust and they become like lumpy. That's when you when you when you scoop it up, you go in your plate. Okay, I just hate buffet eggs because you can't do scrambled eggs properly in a buffet dish. So I will opt every time for you could, you'd have to just do them in a lot of the time. You those eggs are meant to be sitting out there for an hour or two, an hour or two under those well, what they do is they don't scramble them. You get like egg pie. Yeah, because it's it's round like the dish. It doesn't feel like a rambled and I think they I think they baked the egg in the dish and then they lower it, they drop it in whatever it is they're doing. It's just not right for scrambled eggs. So I a little more dense. I opt for the omelet guy because the omelet guy is the guy will make you a fresh egg every time. I think eggs are meant to be made one, you know, one dish at a time, one pan per order. Yeah, you can put two three eggs in a pane. So even if I want a plain omelet and I've gotten I've gotten dirty looks before because I didn't want I didn't want an omelet. I went to the omelet station, but I just wanted scrambled eggs, and they were like, well, what do you want and I'm like nothing, I just want scrambled eggs and they point over at the buffet. I say, you want scrambled eggs, go to the buffet and I'm like no, no, no, but it's a different consistency and they taste okay different. You almost made us miss our train. A few weeks ago. We were at a hotel and I said, you came to breakfast late, and I said, go to something. You're like, I want to get an omelet. Like hey, listen, they got scrambled eggs and they have all the fixed at the buffet, and you're like, not wanting an omelet, but we have to wait for the omelet guy. I have a problem with the omelet guy. So first of all, fuck you for keeping us. We almost missed the train. I had to run. I don't want to run if I don't have to run, especially after having a buffet breakfast. That's wrong of you. Tekond of all the omelet guy. Have you ever been the omelet guy? Uh No, not I've always but i've but I've been witnessed to the omelet guy because I'm on his line every time. Okay, when I worked at a place in Brooklyn, they decided Rolling Roaster, a huge famous place in Brooklyn, they decided they wanted to be open all night, twenty four hours a day. So they built a revolving bulletproof window. And then they gave us like griddles to make omelets, right, and so like at four in the morning, drunks would come up and go, you have to stand and make the omelet. So I know what it's like to be the omelet. You can't speed up an omelet. What you can do is you crack the eggs in the lout pan. Right, everybody knows what I'm talking about. You all made eggs omelets. Then you're like, it hardens up a little on the outside, so you like you push it on the edge, You push it on the edge. Yeah, you gotta be gentle with it. You gotta be gentle with it. So you're trying to get like you push the liquid into the edges so it hardens up. You push the liquid you pushed, you're making like an authentic French omelet. And then you put the ingredients in right. And then at some point is that you have to like time it. If you flip it too soon, it flops everywhere. And if you take too long, it gets burnt up. Right, So you're like, he can't rush it can turn the flame up and burns. No, you can do so you're like, right, So now you're the guy waiting. You're the guy waiting, going okay, my friends are on their third plate. Look at my friend Brody, He's loaded up his buffet. That the perfect fluffy everybody, you stand there in every minute that you have to stand in that freaking What I do is I look out on my omelet. Then I go over to the toast of It takes forever, and I put the toast of the bagel in that conveyor belt thing that takes forever. And then what happens is you put the bread and goes on the little conveyor belt thing and it goes to the bottom. And then what happens is it comes at the bottom and some funk takes your bagel because they're like, oh, look toasted bagel. But you're at the almelet guy and you don't see the guy taking your bagel. You're like, hey, it's my bagel. There's no name on the bagel. Fuck you, you you didn't put the bagel in or they put their bagel in right, But then you bagel comes out ten seconds later and they go, wow, this thing is fast. Bengiel didn't toast in ten seconds. Your fuck yoursn't still on the conveyor belt. No, your conveyor belt etiquette. I'll get to that in a minute. So back to the omelet guy. So yeah, I'll go down, and the ome guy standing like, I hate my life. The eggs aren't ready. I know you're in a hurry. They take tom. Then he's trying to balance two burns at the same time, two pans, and so he's asking the second person. And then he's trying to fry up all the all the the vegetables before he puts the eggs in that one. And then sometimes some ingredients take longer, so he'll put that. He won't put the cheese in because the peppers have to cook last, right, But it's always somebody goes you know I want to cheese. Right. They're afraid of the guy. They're afraid of the Almo guys, so like, hey, um uh did I they'll do? Go? Did I? Did I remember what the cheese like? He'll take it on himself, right, but the cheese comes in. The Look, he's got a spatch. He's not gonna kill you. What a spatch? A lot? He spends too much on the pan on the right. My fucking olmet on the left is burning right because I wait to say he's he's planning too much time on this also common mistake. You can't put the tomatoes in until the cheese goes in, because the tomatoes shouldn't be cooked. They should be like just right right, You can't put the tomatoes in, and then you get tomato juice everywhere. It liquefies the tomatoes in them with the peppers. Then you know this guy, I'm at guy. This guy is not an omelet guy. He's the guy who lost. He drew the short straw and he got you know what, you're on the omelet station today. No, don't make the ob station. You want to be the salad bag guy. No, the sala bug guy. No, it wants to felt the salad bag guy, then you gotta pick the kale out of everything. You feel like, fine, I do omelet guy. But he's not like a chef. He's not like, oh, chef, omelet guy, omelet chef, he's not that guy. He's just the guy who got suckered at the hotel. And to be in the old caring is a down vote for buffets in general. Love buffets, but you can't do both breakfast buffets because then you gotta run back and forth, and if people are stealing your time it, you gotta time it. You gotta you do you put the toast in, you order your omelet. No, you order your omelet, You throw the toast in. You run to the buffet, You load up your plate right with a little room for the omelet to be flipped on the side. You go back and get your bread before some funk takes your toasted bread and pretends like it's theirs. Now do you like when it comes to the amelet? Do you like? Do you like them to flip it once? Or you just like to let it cook and then do a fold over, because if you, if you could, don't like to flip because if you don't flip, then it's not cooked on the inside and fold egg mush in the middle. No, no, no fold over, no fold over, no fold no no, I like to flip, So you don't like to put the cheese in and and then then the fold over, and then the cheese is in between the bed on the top and the like the fold over, but then the flip. I gotta flip. No flip and then fold over. Yes, that's proper. But if some almeld people don't even do the fold over, yeah, that's not that's not right. Some people don't even do the flip. Also, I'm telling you now, if you're not from New York, maybe doesn't bother you. I'm getting hungry phenomena right now. As a New Yorker, it bothers me. But when you go to the buffet breakfast, the bagels are ship. The bagels come out of a bag. They're hard. No, no, they're You toast them. Here's what happens when you toast them. You'll next time anybody listening you you know where I'm right. You're getting me started on this. You toast them, you know, very strongly. You toast the ship breakfast bagels they're like hockey pucks. You know what the Spagel's, that's the spagel Shpagel's, the ship bagels, Dishpagel's. I just made it up in Spagel's hashtag. Spagel's spelling anyway you want, but I would say s H B A g e L Spagel's. You get the spagel coming out and it's got, it's toasted right. You put the cream cheese on the butter you can. You can't bite the top to the bottom. You can only like nibble the top off because the bottom tastes like rubber and the middle is like sponge, So you really only get the toasted pod at the top. It's ship, it's just spagel. I can't eat them. I'm with you on that because I bet you Jimmy Chigel could eat them. Because yeah, I will say one thing about the cha bagel bagel, bagel sagel a real. First of all, most people haven't tasted a real bagel because a real bagel is heatle boiled. It doesn't come back. A real bagel is boiled in water. First, most most places just bake bagels. They just put them in the oven. I'm like, that's like bread. I don't need that. If if if you haven't kettle boiled your bagel, you're not you're not making a real bagel. You know, that's not an authentic New York bagel. Yeah. Oh, I had a problem with a bagel this weekend, like a dense Doughey bagel. We went to a friend's house for the Jewish New Year and they had giant ass bagels, giants like huge, Like I'm like, oh my god, these bagels are monstrous bagels. I had the bagels and we had um. When you when you go to for you break, you fast, you fast for d you go and eat bagel stuff. When you put like tuna fish or egg salad on a giant bagel, you can put more bagel. You can put more tuna fish on the big bagel. Had some I've had some stuff slipped through the middle hole and then the whole. How do you how do you cover the whole with without having you know, the stuff fall through it. I'm gonna tell me can get a little tidbit here. We're like what I never thought of at the Life Hack? What am I gonna say? You're gonna put a schmere first of cream sheel, the Bengie goes through the whole two. Now here's what you do. You become scoopy mixed scoopster. You take the giant bagel, right, you scoop out a little bread. No no, no, I gotta eat. No no, you scoop hold on, you scoop by a little the fat part of the bagel, right, and you shove that in the hole from the top like a cork. And you cork the bagel with the with the stuffing. And now you got now at the top. Oh yes, and now you've created uh like you've borrowed your way through the bagel. And you at that point pile more chicken salad right into the bagel. Damn right, damn right. So here's the problem. I love the bagels, and I shut this thing off and go we should, I said Tom. I said to my buddy Johnathan, and go, John, what did you get these bagels? So I got him at the place over there? Right, So, oh, I usually go to the place over here. There's no try the bill over there. So the Sunday, my my wife and and family were like, you know what, we want bagels? So I gotta get up and go get bagels. That's my job on Sunday's. So I go to the new place that's over there as opposed to place it's over here. I go over there, I get bagels. I didn't realize something, so I had the bagels. The bagels are so big, I didn't have tune a salad, egg salad and salmon salad. I had just cream cheese. Too much to eat in one sitting. So my wife says, I'm gonna grill tonight, will make burgers. I might. I'll put the burgers on the on the bagels, the bagel burger. But when the bagel is too big, right, the burger is too small right, So then you try smashing the burger so it spreads out over that. So my wife says to me, what are you doing. I go, I'm trying to flatten the burger because you want even bread to the ratios off. I got a hockey park in the middle of a giant pillow, so I'm trying to smear it. I was forced to take another half of burger just to fill up the giant bagel. So I realized now it was a good idea for John with the eggs out and the tune salad because you can just add to it. But when you're a preportioned food like a burger, you fucked. I'm gonna so now next Sunday, I'm going back over here, right, that's a better place over here, not over there. If I go over there, it's only if I'm getting ting a fish or egg salad or something like. How would you put a hot dog in a big I would stick it right through the hole, and that you would, and I'd bite off each chann. It would have to be a Feltman's hot dog one Felt swoop, and what it's not felt Felt? Spell it with me fel l M A and apostrophe for the website Feltman's of Coney Island dot com. You spell it with me Feltman's Felton dot com. I love the way life comes full circle. We're talking about Felt. I think subconsciously you were thinking about Feltman's hot dogs. That's why you said one Felt swoop. Well with one Felt swoop. Charles Feltman invented the hot dog in eighteen sixty. You see what I did there? Not incorrecting this case. Uh, of course Nathan worked for him. We know the story by now, I gotta tell you, every time we do these commercials, I get more mad at that guy Nathan, because he even left the business the recipe. But he put nitrates. And but let's just say, let's stick to Feltman's and say that Feltman's doesn't have nitrates. There are no nitrates, no nitrates. It's all natural. There's no They have nice traits and you could taste it. It's a trademark that nice traits. They have nice traits like delicious meat. Without the thing about Feltman's is there there. They seriously are above all of it. You will taste the difference when you bite into a Feltman's hot dog. You can get them at Amazon and jet dot com, of course their website, Feltman's of Coney Island dot com and your local Fairway if you have to have a super Fairway near you, grocery store sponsor or Morton Williams or Mrs Green's, if you have those. Um it definitely is um a hot dog that you you need to try if you haven't. And I gotta say it's not not They're not. They're not gonna leave you with that salty taste where you're gonna have to chug a bunch of water after it. Not these, um, you gotta try them if you can. Um. You know, you know, and we we've mentioned this, well I'll mention it again. You know who loves Feltman's hot dogs Kobe Ashi Kiro Kobe Ashi one of the greatest hot dog eaters in the history of mankind. This is his choice for hot dogs. It is we. In fact, I saw a picture with him and the owners all the Quinn's, Yeah, the Quinns, and they were in uh the Surf Avenue location right there in Coney Island, Brooklyn, where by the on Instagram you can also go to the East village there on St. Mark's Place. I gotta stop, we gotta stop by that. When we were like that, we went to we went to Cornell can't Yeah, but we were you know, we work about like fifteen blocks away from the well head over the St. Marks. Next week, we really do check them out for yourself. Taste the difference with a Feltman's of Coney Island hot dog Feltman's of Coney Island dot com dot com dot com. It's not taken. It not cam Yeah, I think that's taken. Will you have a Will you have a jingle. You can't you know, I can't grab that. What are you gonna do? All right, so let me tell you what I got going on. I got a consumer tip, please do tell us? Okay, give me Jase Jake, who does video for our morning show, was looking at an ad right he needs to get a new new Go Pro. He's like, oh, they have a special running right now. You trade in your old go Pro any condition, you get a hundred dollars off a new Go Pro video equipment, isn't he This is like when when card dealerships say, any car, any condition, push it into our dealership, We'll give you two thousand dollars off a new car. Right. First of all, it's kind of a gimmick. They're gonna give you the two thousand dollars off your car anyway, most likely. But I told him, I go you don't have He's I don't have a Go Pro. I want to trade in. I want to keep the one I have and get another one. Is it going eBay for twenty five bucks by a broken Go Pro for parts only? People sell them in the worst conditions and then use it towards your hundred dollars off the new golblem. You're still in the in the in the positive here, He's like, I never thought of that. What kind of where are we living? We don't think of that? Why just go get it broken ones as long as it's actually yeah, it doesn't matter if it's bashed or anything. You get it. You get this guy of a nice consumer tip like that. I've got a couple of car problems people on the road. Car problem, it's not a problem in my car. Oh my car problems. I and I told you guys the story of my daughter getting into an accident with her car twice and then finally got fixed. Hold on her car got total. We sold it to somebody wanted to fix it upself. So, um, my wife's car, the new one I had to have. It was she then to defender, scratched up, the molding, h paint was scraped up, and so I'm like, well, where do I take it? Right? So, so I told the story to our friends at Grand Prix Auto. Right, they're not currently sponsoring our podcast. This is not a commercial, no need to h And if you remember when we were doing the commercials for them, they they're part of the deal. Was they had a body shot so I said to him, look, I'm trying to get this fixed. How much do you think I should pay for this? Like what would you you know, whatever? Do you think I should couldn't get the fender fixed. I'm just asking his professional opinion, so whatever. He goes, I think it should cost this much money and take this many hours, like all right, whatever. So I'm like, well that that seemed like a reasonable amount of money. But it's in Brooklyn. I live in Jersey. Let me get some local quotes. All more money, more time, six eight hours whatever. So I drive to Brooklyn to Grand Prix Auto Body. Again, this is not a commercial. They look at the car, They're like, yeah, we'll take care of it. I go like six eight hours to go to the MOVI whatever, Like, no, we'll do it. Like an hour and a half, just got it done. So they took So I'm thinking I was a dent in the car. It's scratched. They have to paint it. No, No, they pushed the dent out. They they warmed it up a little bit and they pushed it out. They put new molding on that I brought them, and they buffed out all the scratches. Did a great job. So, first of all, thank your Grand pre Order Body. Not a sponsor, that's not a commercial, but I appreciate the work you did. Now, I put up on Instagram a picture of their storefront as my way of saying thank you and to let people know they did good work. I put a picture up of the store logo, Grand pre Order Body, the phone numbers part of their sign, and then a picture of my car before and after Defender Defender perfect and scratched up. And I said, I could not be happier with the price and how fast they fixed it. What a great job they did, because as a customer, we've all done that. You're happy with service. You put the picture up, so people are texting me, tweeting me around other sounds great. Can you send me their info? Well, it's in the picture. It's in the picture, has the phone number in the name right there. So I'm like, bare, look, So I'm not mad at you. I'm just saying sometimes you gotta take a look at the picture. Now that being said, I posted another picture last week a person running for political office in New Jersey. Actual lawn signs. They're everywhere. You've seen them. Lawn signs, By the way, if you have a looked at a lawn sign and thought, I like that lawn sign on a vote for that person, Never like, do you change who you're voting focus of a lawn sign. I don't think anybody has ever been swayed put the lawn sign on. No, listen, you have a lawn sign. Here's what I'll tell you. What lawn signs are to get you a brick through your window. Here's what lawn signs are. Lawn Signs are away for you to play spot the asshole. Not because you have a sign doesn't make you an asshole. But you know, in today's climate, if you're either with us or against this, right, you're either on my team or you're not. So if you're like, oh, I'm on I'm on team A, that he's gonna sign that's his team B, he's an asshole. Right. Just know, if you've got a lawn sign, half of the people driving by your house think you're an asshole. That's just the way life is, right, it's it's your team or not. And you're not gonna sway people's opinions by having a lawn sign. Oh you know not. I I feel this way about health care but I just saw a sign. I'm gonna vote for that guy. It's not gonna work. So remember your signs on your lawn. Half the people think you're an asshole. Now, one of the signs I've been seeing a lot. It just says hold on. It says Crook, honesty, integrity, and something else. So for a second, you're like, what it's Is it a joke? So I looked it up and it's Robert Crook. He's running for office in Roseland, New Jersey. So I put up a picture and I say, would you vote for a guy with this name? And then I say, uh, I go, I guess he's being honest about what we've all known about politicians or something like that. And then I write Robert Crook hashtag Roseland New Jersey. Right, So people are going, is this real? Is that a real sign? Yes? Read the description. That's all I'm saying. I take the time to write description. Read the description. Answer your own question. We'll google it exactly. Hey Rosemary, Yeah I can. Yeah, listen, it's scary and Brodie, Brodie scar Well, she wrote scary and Brodie her email. Well, nobody's perfect, which is why I I'm contacting her. You're responding to something that I wanted to start as a topic and we were gonna get the girls in here to talk about. But you were like, you jumped on it right away. You're like, oh, this happened to me. On last week's podcast, number fifty seven, I was talking about a friend of mine who's too bashful to come on the air with us, but she admitted booking her wedding venue before she even got the ring. And it also led us to talk about people who buy the women who buy the wedding dress before they get the ring. Uh. You were like, oh my god, that's me. Do you want to tell your story real quick? Because I can't believe that someone other than my friend who's bashful and won't go on the air with us. Uh, you know, this happened again. But I guess if you could think about it, thousands of people have done it. What's the deal? I mean, it's embarrassing. Um, but I have been with my boyfriend for ten years so and I'm not really ready to get married yet. I mean we're still like in the process of you know, a ten year relationship or a woman in a relationship of ten years ready to get married or thinking about it yet, which that sounds sounds you ever keep going, we're thinking about it. But I me and my boyfriend have always loved New Year's Eve. So since I've been in college, I've joked about, like, oh, December thirty places are going to be your wedding day December thirty one. And I was like drinking one night and I looked up the calendar and I was like, oh my god, December. This is so stupid. It fall up on a Thursday, and I was like, that's perfect because then we can get married on us Thursday. Yes, Thursday weddings suck, but everyone will be off the next day and then I'm not affecting your weekend because I hate how weddings have become a whole freaking weekend saying. So I've my perfriend doesn't know that I've been actually contacting wedding venues and I've made me and my mom had made appointments. So about what I'm saying, and a a lot I'm like, holy sh It's I'm crazy. But we've been contacting places and I'm basically making sure that they don't throw a New Year's Eve party so that when i do get pricing. They're not going to try to up charge me and say, well, we usually throw a New Year's Eve party. I'm gonna say you do not throw a New Year's Eve party because I spoke to Jessica. So you're what you're saying in a nutshell here is you booked a date in because the date sounded great, and that's what you wanted to do December New Year's Eve. And it was basically, you're gonna put money down or you have put money down on a venueaged you haven't even gotten the ring. Now what happens if you got I mean, is there a chance you guys break up? Are you guys are rock solid? No, we're rock solid. But I haven't put any money down yet. But I have spoken to venues that are like, listenize, Okay, that's over two years away, years away. Now I don't understand something. Uh what if he never gives you the ring? Is that possible? I think he wants to. Okay, are you saying all right? So all right? What's the just so I know what's the difference between together for ten years and together for ten and a half years. If you guys know you're gonna get married, shouldn't you like, what's the hold up? Um, we're young, we're young. He's in he's just got his dream job, so he's in an academy and everything. So you guys have been together since you were like you said, Okay, so it's your first love. I got a lot of questions here. I got, Um do your is your family a hundred percent supportive or is there anyone in your family? There's no one in your family who's like, listen, uh, it's your first kind of boy from maybe you know or is everybody like this guy's great? If anything, I've been like that. I'm always like I've joked like maybe we should break up before we get engaged and maybe and he hates when I say it. We have a dog, but no, it's we're pretty we basically be married, but we're just so young. All right, but what do your friends think? It's weird that you've booked a place like have you picked that a wedding dress yet? Have you picked that? Okay? Well all right, well okay, let's say let's say the big wedding dress. Let's say klin Felds or wherever were you? What do you live? Wherever you live doesn't dress. Okay, let's say, like the place that you want to get your wedding dress from has a mega sale, right, would you buy your dress before you got engaged? No? No, no? Why not venue? I wouldn't put money down without talking to him first. But if for some reason we broke up and I booked the venue, I mean, I would either eat the money or try to show you the one day when I do get married or party. So you haven't. You haven't put the money down on the venue yet. But what if they don't put you about? What if they do? What if they give it to somebody else? Um? I mean, then I lose it. Wait a second, Hold, here's what I don't understand. You Are you going to put money down on this or you have? I mean, I know you haven't yet, haven't yet. But if I find a place that I'm like, Wow, this place is, I would talk to him. And the thing is, and you're gonna be competing with New Year's Eve. This is terrible. By the way, I'm gonna gonna be honest with you. You're playing a New Year's Eve wedding that is already suicide right there. I can't I know here's my problem with the New Year's Eve thing. I don't no, no, no, no, hold on. I don't have a problem with the wedding because it's a one time thing and you do the toast at midnight. I get it. I don't. I think it sounds really good on paper. I think the problem is, and I trust me because I'm married for a while, the long term ramifications you're not thinking of. Here's what's gonna happen every December thirty one. Your couple of friends are gonna want to hang out, and you're gonna like nosy. And if you do hang out, nobody wants to hear about your anniversary. Oh we're married nine years, nobody, fuck you. I'm still saying that Happy New Year. Right, That's what's gonna happen there. You're gonna be watching Ryan ccrest on your anniversary when you're married ten years and they don't you tire and you want it? Hold on, she hasn't even gotten the ring yet, brony. And that's say. There's a whole lot going on here. There's oh, I want to get married on thirteen twelve, twelve twelve, all right, that's great, but like after that then what And no anniversary we've been dating is actually the day after Christmas, so we don't even celebrate an earty in December. We actually celebrate it in June to this six months because and it's Christmas on the Oh god, you're you're coinciding and colliding with all kinds of Hollywood. You just decided to make it that you make sure you make sure your firstborn is on the fourth of July, so you every kid is a holiday. This is but but the point I'm getting to and and I can't understand, is how you can even go ahead because in your email you said that you even told all your friends. It's like kind of a running joke amongst you all that like, yep, December thirty, that's the day they're gonna get married. That's tonight. But it's all the land of make believe until he even gets that ring. And it's been ten years and you haven't gotten one yet. And what if people a yeah, and then you lose your deposit. I would not put money down on any venue that you have, but you're gonna lose Oh my god, but you're close to it. And if there was a sale on a wedding dress, you know, you'd you'd buy it. Yeah, that's okay, But I hated because this is what we do on the Brooken Boys podcast, the whole bad luck thing. Who's causing the bad luck? When does the bad luck from? Well, that's fine as long as we don't believe in like some great spirit of bad luckness, because I don't think. I don't think anyone is like, oh, you know, let's punish this person for buying a dress. I think though, listen, I'm a cheap guy. Uh, if the dress is really cheap, you gotta buy it. Well, you have your sister buy it. You have your sister to buy it and then go you know what, and then she gives it to you you as a gift. There's ways around the bad luck thing. I just don't think that would be good. I know it's crazy, and I know that the date sucks. Thank you, thank you. No no, no, no, I didn't say it sucks. I think it's great. The first year. I think long term, you may look back and I personally would be like, on the side of you know what, think about your guests and stop being so selfish and don't make it in New Year's The first year is fine. You know what, most people on the plans for New Year's this way they are, you know what they're doing. I'm sending, I'm cutting you checking. I'm not coming. I'll see you some other time. I'll be there eventually. Come. I got nothing else to do on New Year's. I'll be there all right. Love you so much. Thank you for listening to the Booking Boys podcast. In According to your email, you look for an invisible shirt. It didn't get there yet because we already said, you know what, We're gonna send you in a visible wedding dress. We're gonna send you in a visible a Brooklyn Boys wedding, an invisible wedding ring, and an invisible thing. Well sarty has that. I thanks so much. I don't know if I'm You didn't even ask me if I have jokes? I got you got joke? Hold on, I got one, you got one. Paula Abduel fell off the stage because she was she was singing promise of a New Day story. True story, it happened. So I gave el was this joke that he didn't do to kick off our unused punch line segment. So paul Abdul fell off a stage and after she fell she got straight Up. I think that was cute because straight Up was her original hit was yeah and it's a pun and Elvis didn't think it was no, I was honey, Hi, So Dancing with the Stars. I don't watch it this season. I've watched it in the past. Apparently some guy named grocer Joe. Yeah, grocer Joe, and he didn't do well. I don't know if he got voted off whatever. He didn't do well. I said, what do you expect, he's got two left green thumbs. Hio is a grocer. I like that puncher just coming. We had it. We had a young singer on the show, Alexiono. Uh. He brought in a new song to play for us that he had recorded in his hotel room, like two nights earlier. It wasn't even like officially recorded. He wrote it. He recorded it like on a little recorder, but it wasn't like on it. It wasn't officially done. So my joke was he's not actually a singer, but he stayed in the holiday in last night. He didn't get to that. Um are one of our co producers on the show, Nate Straight Nate his car wouldn't go faster than forty his jeep. So so I said, it sounds like he's got a got a training problem, right, And so I was gonna his transmission. I go, no, it just sounds like he's got a training problem in general. And that wasn't a great one. But anyway, we were talking about coffee beer, so I'm gott of coffee with beer in it, made from beer. I said, Oh, the bartender would be a beer easta. You didn't get to that. Now you have to be a Friends fan to get this joke. Okay, Uh, there was a story this week that a guy in the UK was robbing a story stealing beer. Right, and he looks just like David Swimmer from Friends fross right, you saw the picture. So I said, oh, that guy, he's so guilty, so right, And he didn't understand. He didn't anerstand. Oh, Elvis, we're talking about sex dreams. Crazy dreams we had And Elvis said, I dreamt I was having sex with someone without a head. So my joke was, did you give them any Hey didn't do that joke? Was that too filthy for us? Maybe? And I don't remember how this came up. I think it's because I wrote mega millions and it didn't look right, and then I changed it and I said, oh, if you don't win the mega millions, you could enter a chance to win a red hat by putting your money down in Maga millions. Magaga. I like that. It doesn't matter what your political background is. You put somebody down to Maga millions. Maybe get a hat, some paper, towels, whatever, write your own jokes. I'm not taking a side. I'm just writing the jokes. Broody, I gotta tell you you were cheated because not only did you have some unused punch lines, but you had an unused parody. Okay, yes, so you see what I'm doing here. Second, so this is another opportunity where I get to play a patch, not playing the big show. So Canada announced that they were going to legalize marijuana for the whole country, not by state, not by not medical marijuana, boom for everybody. So you know, the the national anthem is okay Canada. Here is their new version of the national anthem. And this is an unused power that I wrote here can Bus it's legal in our true patrue love with hongs in hand, with blood shot eyes. We're geting hot. Come up north and smoke weed with easy wider can up us. We are all smoking trees. God keep our land birdtle to grow weed. Oh can of us. We can smoke pot legally, Oh can of us. Our new flag has hootly. I know why that didn't make the big show. Brings a tear to my eye, just like we got it on by Like somebody tweeted it, like, what episode was it when you played the Grammar song? Um, what's the Halsey song? I did the parody of him and me, Him and me, and I said it should be him and eye, And somebody tweeted me, like, what episode is that? I don't know, it's in the description. I can't. That might have been the first unused parody was that one. I had some really good ones that were a little political. I didn't bring him I should. They were good, you know, they weren't like you know, they were just good. We weren't sure on time. We're not gonna do email. What do you guys got gotten? What do you have in the rant department? I got I gotta rant. It's it's not just a rant, but it's like, you know what fucking karma. It's related to my Instagram account. You should probably go to my Instagram at David Brody and one of the pictures is a picture of the back of a blue Honda. And I said, you'll understand what this means when you listen EPISODEFT hit a second. So here's my free dessert story. After many, many years, my wife and I finally decided to get new couches. I don't know if I mentioned this. I had a couch with a big leather hole in it. Well, it's a hole. Were you doing at two o'clock in the morning on it? Couches can be your friend anyway. We couldn't agree on couches. I had recliner couches, leather recliner couches, two of them, full size sofas, and I loved them. She loved them when she was pregnant. They would put her feet up. It was great. She decided she hates them now she wants something different. So finally, after years, we ordered. She said, you order a couch that you want, and I'll order what I want and will make them the same color. They can coordinate, they don't have to match. So I pick out, uh, a gray couch with a Chase lounge in it like a Chase chair a little longer. Put your feet up. And she hasn't picked out her couch yet, but she picked out a gray similar in an in an oversized chair. So it's like a one and a half seat couch, so it's not a love seat. It's one and a half so it's a i'd seat so my kids can like lay down sideways, put their feet up. It's very comfortable. Dogs love it. I owed it and Gray the furniture delivery it's supposed to come on Friday of last week. Right, they bring the couch in, set it up. Looks great. By the way, I'm not gonna mention the company name because they're great. I'm very happy with everything and they did the right thing. So with hazy goy, no, don't try to get I'm not I don't want there's a reason I don't want to mention the name of the all right, I'll right, lazy boys more like recliners and not these aren't recliners. So the guys are outside. And we ordered um a kind of fabric on this chair. My wife wanted because we have dogs and kids. It's like a cover. The whole cover, arm rest, the whole thing, one piece. You take it off if you want, and wash it and put it back on or down the road. If you want to change the color of it. You can get a different color and put the slip cover right on. But when it's on, you don't know it's on, like it looks really good. But you can open the bottom and take it off. That's what you wanted. She figured, you know what, it's gonna get damaged over the years or dirty or whatever. You can wash it. It's great. So we ordered gray. The guys are outside and they're looking at the ticket and they go, uh, excuse me, We're very sorry the chair. Now the chair comes in white, beige and gray. Do they say, uh, well, sorry that the chair we have on the truck is beige. Oh so sorry, I go beige, beige, I awed gray. Oh it's beige. Oh no, well, I go, Well, then you're gonna come back tomorrow a later today, because at this point it's like one thirty. No, I'm sorry, excuse me. They were supposed to come between one thirty and three thirty. That's the window. They call me at one twenty and say, your automated voice your driver for your delivery today will now be there between three thirty and five thirty. Now my day is screwed up. So already I'm upset for like four hours. So I called them and I go, well, you back me up two hours. You said, we'll give you a two hour window because we're gonna nail that window. We're not a four hour window to our window will be there. So like, first of all, you guys are late two hours, which I was already upset about. And now you don't have my chair like I already like through I have old furniture gone. I need a place to sit. We throughout the old couch in place to sit. Well, it's beige. I go, will you can come back tonight? No we can't. We don't. We're not we're gonna go back to the house. We don't the chair. Will you come back tomorrow? No, tomorrow's trucks already loaded up for the weekend. Nothing we can do. Get get the get the headquarters on the phone calls him up, he says, and tells them the story. Puts me on the phone with the woman. I said, I need my chair chair? What colored order to gray? She pulls it up because it looks like on the keyboard. Yeah, it says Gray, Well it's beige. Well, by the way, you've done nothing wrong, so you're so you are so deserving your free dessert. I mean right, I could just taste, so it's right. So I I need my chair, and Gray, tomorrow, we'll take the chair in beige and you'll have someplace to sit and we'll exchange it with a chair on Tuesday. Rights, not even boom free dessert. So I say, well, that's not really I wanted to now now it sounds even, and then you have to bring it. But then you have to also bring up the fact that, by the way, you guys change the delivery slotting time on me the whole day I went, I go Tuesday is not even just what do you mean we're giving you the chairing Gray? Did you throw in a little bit of Hey, by the way, I had nothing to shoot on for a couple No, no, no, no, I know, because the chairs there. I mean, I got the chair. It's not there, I said, getting the chair Tuesday. Today's Friday. That's five days from now, four days from now, right, I said, Plus, you're asking me to stay home again for two hours which again you might move the time on me. Right, So now I have to give up a second day. That's not even so once you explain that to them, I said, So here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna give me a discount on the chair, well my trouble, and send me a case of grape soda. Right. Yeah, By the way, can I talk to grape Soda for a second you want? Last week I told you about how our listener sent me, uh grape Pico, which is the best dye grapes sort I've ever had. Right, it's only sold in Alabama. It's owned by a company called something Rock Cola. They're in cahoots with Pepsi, but they don't only sell it in Alabama. Right, But it's bottled on the PepsiCo Pepsi bottled company, and it's a whole old old style company, family owned that we used to be only sold. So Walmart has it on the website, shipping not available. Target has it on the website, shipping not available. They only sell it in Walmart and Target in Alabama. So I appreciate our listener sending me to soda. Now I can't get it. I can't get it, so I may have to buy Fago on wall on on on Amazon dot com. I don't know if Fago is good. I don't like the name. Problem sounds like Faco fake. It sounds like, yeah, I don't like it. All right, yeah, well continue on. Okay, So I say the woman, you gotta know what you can do for me. I canna give me this kind of a chair. She says, all right, we'll give you temper cent off. I said, on the chair. She says no. She said, you made an excellent case for yourself. We did keep you waiting, and we did mess up your order, and there's no excuse for that when you tempting off the whole purchase, the couch, the chair, everything. Wow, now we're talking hundreds. I said, thank you. Deal. She says, keep the chair and we'll bring you the new chair, will exchange it on Tuesday, but we'll give you the temperton off. No problem, done, right, give them some props. Why don't you tell them which free dessert company this one? Here's why I can't tell you the free descent. Hold. I get off the phone. Own the guys. The guys go, do you want the chair? We'll bring it in the beige one. You have it. So my wife had just come home. I said, do you want the page chair? Yeah, I take the chair. Well, this way we could see if it's comfortable. We'll have the kids. Finally, we gotta have a chair. They bring the chair in and the guy goes, oh no, I said. What he says, underneath the slip cover, the chair is is beige, but the slip cover had pushed up in the box. It's gray. They pulled the slipcover down. The chair is greg So now the chair is gray. But I already got my right, so the guy. So the guy says to me, you gotta call them back. Because these guys didn't speak English really well, they were no part of calling. So they go, you have to call the woman back and canceled the Tuesday shipment because we've already put it in for the shipment. I go, yeah, yeah, all right, I got it. Yeah, no problem, thanks a lot. I have a great day. But ha ha, so you got free dessert when you probably Oh my god, they delivered the right thing to begin with. So then my wife says to me, I really liked the chair rather than me getting a couch, why don't we get a second chair, put a table in between them, and we'll make it like two big couch chairs. So I go, all right, Well, the delivery was two hundred bucks, but the chairs coming for free as a make good to exchange. So I call up and I say, hey, listen, the chairs coming. We're gonna keep the Bay's chair. Can we just buy the chair on its way for the sale price because I got it all on sale. Of course, they go, yeah, so now I got the first chair, temperson off the whole deal. The second chair is coming now, no delivery charge. Oh yeah, and now you can't say the name of the company because it was really partly your fault. And no, no, it wasn't my fault. The partland was. They gave me the discount. I'm taking the discount for the two hours late, which was almost three hours. Yeah, you're entitled, thank you, But the Bay's chair not my fault. I didn't lie. The guy said it was beige. It turns out it's gray. Okay, so right, but yeah hashtag free to starting oh double free dessert. Yeah, but but you still stole that grape soda. I don't. I'm never gonna let that go. However, I gotta ran out of here, get rant rant away. I'm good. I mean I have I have two of the things I want to talk about. But no, no, let's go to the because I want to say it's a Karma rant. Now I'm in Manhattan. We're driving down Seventh Avenue. I'm gonna make it all makes sense if you don't from Manhattan. Seventh Avenue is a four lane road. Right four lanes heading downtown as you approach the Holland Tunnel, which gets me back to New Jersey. The right two lanes are for the tunnel. As you get closer to the Holland Tunnel, there are those white poles they put in the road to divide the lanes. So when you get about two blocks the three blocks away from the tunnel entrance, and by the way, you're not really the tunnel entrance. There's like eight roads leading into the entrance. This is one that curls around from the top, the ones that come uptown, this one, and this one goes downtown. Okay, so there's two right lanes. I'm in the right lane. There's a lane next to me, which is would all called the left lane. Even though there's two lanes to the left of that. I don't want to be in the left of the two lanes because the other two lanes try to chisel land before the white spikes. So if you're in that left lane, you gotta do it all the chiselers right and then you're like oh and then then you the car in front of you lets him and you're like, fuck you. You let him in. I didn't get him permission, right, So don't think you've let somebody in. You're now letting him in front of everybody online. So I don't get in the left lane. I get in the right lane. Okay. What's to the right of the right lane, sidewalk? No, the parking lane where cars? Okay, now in the parking lane on busy days, you're not supposed to park there right during the week, so that lane is for double park cars. Uh, how to make a quick stop, but you're not supposed to park there. Okay. I'm I've for four or five blocks from the tunnel. I'm in the right lane. It's bumper to bumper. It's like in chup in Chup in Chup. Then when the light changes, one car gets across and everybody else stops. It's not moving. I'm there like forty five minutes an hour. So now cars are pulling up in the parking lane on the right that they're not. It's like driving on the shoulder. Okay, that's when the drive on the shoulder. Some people do it. They're in the right lane. So this blue Honda Pilot, which is a big car, bi against UV. He's trying to come up the right side and try to chisel. He's trying to get in my lane. I'm not letting him in. He's like right up against my fender trying to get in. I'm not letting him in. I want to get home too. This guy, what he did was cut the line. He was behind me three cars, and then at the last light, he went into the parking lane, drove across the street a cross street, and trying to do the chisel right. But then he had parked cars in front of him, so he's trying to merge in front of you. So as we crossed the street, he has to get him behind me a couple of cars again because there's a car park there and he can't keep going in the right lane. We crossed the street, he does the same thing, swings out from three cars back, pulls up in the parking lane on the right, tries to chisel in. I give him the look like fuck you, you're not chiseling in. I want to get home to my family too. You wait to turn no chisel here, hashtake no chisel now. Three cars up is a white truck doing is unloading some stuff. Okay, guy gets out of the truck, goes in the store. The white truck is three cars ahead of me. You'll see it in the picture and at David Brody on Instagram. The chiseler guy decides he has an opening three cars ahead of me. He thinks he can jump ahead of that guy, right, So he pulls up behind the truck and tries to chisel. There's an opening. The car to ahead of me doesn't immediately pull up, so there's a window of opportunity for the blue pilot to chisel in. So he flaws it, like foom, I'm getting in. What the fucker misjudged? As if my daughter was driving the car and hits the truck, ship hits the truck. You fuck you you blue on the pilot. If you were the pilot of a plane, you want to crashed into the fountain. So he he he passed to back up to get his car off the truck, and now at a pity that guy lets him in. Once he pulls in, I look his headlight and a part of his bumper and sender fiberglass have broken off, and a leg in the straight by the way. You can almost argue that he got free dessert because it was just deserves. Yes, you got what you deserved, you chiseling motherfucker. You thought you were gonna jump in front of that car and you hit the truck. The truck wasn't moving. You fuck you. You gotta be some kind of stupid. They hit a park truck. The truck wasn't moving. You were in a dead stop. But what about the park truck? I hope the truck had one of those big metal bars on the back like that the driving like you step on to get up. Oh, it had a little blue on it. Not a big deal. But his car parts. If I had a chance to get out and grab them, I was going to. I tried to get out and take a picture, but when I got out, the guy behind him was like, keep going, so fuck you Blue Hunt the pilot, fuck you, you can't funk with us. Yeah, you know why, because where we're from. Brooklyn Boys, Boys f
Policy Genius also compares disability insurance, home insurance, and yet's right auto insurance. So this weekend I'm gonna be shopping for new car insurance because the company I had screwed me.
