Speaker 1: Start up Up, Start Up Brooklyn by start Up Brooklyn, buy Data. They're making noise Data up. Episode one is the Brooklyn Boys podcast. I'm off today, you're officeing, you're taking the day? Or are you off because you're a beat off? Like I think that feeling like yourself. I'll tell you why. Three weeks ago, we were told we had a big meeting today Thursday. Right, what's today? Fifth? Sixth Thursday to sixth clear the calendars eleven to one, Like, well, that's when we do the podcast, and we were prepared right to do it, to do it tomorrow. So we we set everything aside to do tomorrow. I have a phone tap schedule tomorrow that I have to hope. I can hope that the guy will be available to be like his wife was set up to call. I hope he will still be available. I have to move it earlier now, otherwise I gonna wait around. I moved my phone tap twice because of the brunch and then I'm like, wait, wait a second. Now we're recording Brooklyn Boys today, so my phoe tap has been pushed it tomorrow as well. Okay, well, I hope I hope your your targets is because sometimes we moved them and then they're like, oh, he's not he's not home right by the way to do what I'm doing right now? Where that sweatshirt to work? Kidding me, this is an awesome shirt. I'm not talking about my shirt, Dick. I'm talking about the fact that I am eating a tomato like an apple. I'm literally taking a tomato like right and I'm just going hard. First of all, I thought it was a watermelon because I just saw a red in your mouth like you're biting it. I thought it's a tomato. It's tomato. It's not the norm, and I'll tell you why, because it's squirts everywhere. This is true, but I'm doing it. I'm trying to wrap my lips around it so it does. Okay, So let me let me explain the first thing I put in my mouth that squirts. Okay, Brodie, Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So scary, as you all know, is on a diet, you've lost how many pounds and how many how many days? I don't feel like playing the jingle no, no, no, I'm not Today's day thirty six. Okay, So so scary. His life has changed, So if his birthday on Monday. He got a crew to te platter, Right, is that you got crew to te, which is basically like fruits and it's vegetables on a platter, the fancy ways saying, you know, broccoli and carrots and tomatoes or whatever. I'm doing well, Yeah, you're doing well. So did to show you how his life has changed today? He's his topic is I'm eating a tomato like an apple. And on the Big Show today, the Opstrate Morning Show, I'll get to that. Scary was pisted about fruit. We'll get to that later. Well, the thing is a tomato is a fruit. That's where I was going. But you are you are citrus fruit. You are upset about earlier today, right, But a tomato is a fruit. It is a fruit, which means catchup as a fruit. Why can't I just pick up a tomato and just eat it like an apple? Is that wrong? I don't think it's wrong. It's just it's messy. We had one of our one of our I think it was a kid. I went to school making the story as we go. I forgot. I didn't want to. I think his name is Mark Perino. I don't even know the names. It was back in the it was elementary school. He's not even named that name more change. He used to bring a lemon to school and he used to literally bite into the fucking lemon, just like it was a guy. Did that suck a lemon? No? You knew people that like eight lemons as fruit. Yes. When I went to day camp, there was a kid who brought a lemon, int a lemon, healthy for you, and he would fight, not making the face. He's like, oh, it's good, it's good for you. I'm like, there's a lot of things, like what kind of he doesn't have any money for an orange? Like he's probably like getting lemons for free or whatever. Well they were like cheap. I don't know he's eating lemons anyway. I right now someone's yelling at if you text us if you eat lemons, why do you love textas? How they gonna textas between? It's we as a hashtag it suck a lemon hashtag sucker lemon. Uh. Yeah, So I did want to just really briefly. I wanted because I did say we would talk about it on this show because Alvis goes, you know, why don't you talk about that on your podcast? Very very quick but people have said you were wrong, but then people back you up. Of course they did, because I know that I paid by the pound, Scotty, okay, orange, I bought oranges and I paid by the pound. Now I know that Scotty was quick to say, no, wait a second, they sell them by the piece. There are some places. Okay, I'm just being I'm telling you the truth because it's a big world. Okay, dollar pound. I bought my oranges by the pound, and these are naval oranges. Now in the middle, the naval oranges have thick skin. Unlike me, you peel away. By the time all that skin is packed away, you're left with and you're left with a fucking an orange the size of a line. So you're paying for the thick skin. You're paying for all that. I'm like, what do you think you do with a watermelon? I'm like, sixties cents of every dollar that I paid for this orange is skin. It's a it's a waste. So I'm trying to see the hope they factor that in though, yeah, they factor that into the price. That's a huge They don't it's a scamboni, but they're saying it's a dollar nine pound because they know you're getting rid of half of it. So that leads me to the buffet. When you go to the bus and everything the waiting, the way it eat it kind of buffets. You didn't get the plastic container at the salad bar at the store, they tear out, They tear out the way to the understand they do that. That's not my point. They leave everything in giant chunks and all the cheap stuff, right, So all the cheaper things are in larger chunks and heavy that will weigh down and cost you more. That's right, But that's only this half the scamboni I give you, right, but you know that's part of the scamboni. And anything that's expensive is chopped into smaller pieces, so lighter, and you'll be multi scooping. Right. So when you're loading your plate, if if it's seven dollars a pound or eight dollars a pounds the buffet or the salad bar, and you weigh it down with rice, make something. Hell, don't do that, that's not the big one. Do Just put all the beef, dude, make it all protein. Look for the most expensive thing on there so you can get the most out of You have to look price per weight. Here's what you never never ever weigh and put in there ever. You know you're talking about potatoes because it's mostly water and you watch, you're like, oh, I have a Scooper potatoes, right, and it goes and you feel that like pulls your arm down. You just paid nine dollars, but a Scooper potatoes. What are you gonna say because it wasn't potatoes. Salad dressing. Don't put the dress, don't put it in the cup on the side, but they leave it inside the salad bar, so you're more prone to get the little two ounce cup. Same with the tomato sauce. You don't wear that ship. Do not wear your salad dress. Leave that that's a private cup on its own. Do not because because now all of a sudden, you're weighing your ship down. And I gotta say, oil weighs a lot. Yeah, you gotta be careful they get you because there are the scamboni. Because if you bought that same arrangement of food in a restaurant and be like four bucks, but because you want the way you want it, and you know it's been sitting there all day the way it needed places unless you get there in the morning. Don't go for dinner salad bar scam for dinner. We need a scamboni jingle scamboni. How about the gym on it scambonie no jam on it Scamboni, no scamboni jim BONI yeah, this will work. Come on, people, hold on, I just thought of this Scamboni Scamboni. I wonder if you even have the song? How about old school? I saw a thing and it's a scamboni. No, come on, you remember this one. Listen, I know the song samon Yeah, yeah, come on, man, this is by the way I I somebody these eighties free style. Okay. So at my at my daughter's cheerleading event, we went to the this weekend, the DJ played only eighties stuff. Hold on, hold on, let me get let me break out my cardboard box. Right now, I'm gonna do some you can't play that. I'm gonna break dawn. I'm gonna break dance for you. You're gonna breakdance. Did you break dance in the eighties? No, you didn't try. No, you didn't do the chain or the worm or the no the thing where you get on the cardboard box through the windmills, you know, you spin around on your back turt or your turtle thing. I forgot what that's called. No, I wasn't a big Batwe yeah, we're good. So anyway, so yeah, so salad bar scambonies. I want to hear them. You want to hear them. You want to hear them. You want people to tweet you tweet me what's your shalot bar scamp? But there's got to be more a couple of updates. Speaking of food rails steakhouse. Oh so the follow up to we did last week you guys listen in order? Is they? Uh? Girl called me back and uh, I didn't answer the phone. So I called back. I get her again, and I said, I want to speak to the manager, the guy who we spoke to. Oh h is this David Brody? Yeah, oh I'm handling it for you. Uh yeah, we don't have it. We just we have a table if you want. I went up, Yes, good deal. She says, we have five o'clock or like nine until we could have gotten that off the app. I got five five or right or later, and I was like, what about thing? He said, he's gonna help me out. He can help you out. So and people were asking, did I get to go? Wow? Hold on, hold on, Hey see this piece of paperer that says the name of the place. Yeah, I'm gonna. I'm gonna. I'm gonna act like I'm at the Hey, fuck you, Ralph. You don't let my boy game it Brodian for his birthday double birthday? Mind you him an his wife. Forget about the fact and his wife forget about the fact that we're that we have a radio show. Whatever the case we do, we do a podcast. Who cares. I'm just saying we talked to the guy in the phone. We were nice to him. You guys heard the phone call, right, scary dropped his name. That didn't work. It didn't work. But but just forget about that. Just it's a double birthday celebration. They can't fit you in. And the guy says to me, when did you call? I went three weeks ago? He says, wow. Normally, uh, you know, we uh, we got like two weeks it's what we can call. But that's weird. You didn't said called three weeks ago? What assholes? All the time booked up. It's fine, it's fine, dude. They railed they railed you. Yeah, it's fine, but you know, it's a great place. Hopefully someday we'll get to go there. It's fine. Also from last episode, hold on, if they would have just if they would have moved every table in the restaurant six inches around, they could have created another table. Maybe it's a fire, hasn't Don't you think they would have done that? You think they would have come on, it's the I'm disappointed. How many times? Oh, by the way, the way, we don't check the social media fire No, you talk on fire hazards. How often do you see that sign in a picture frame on the wall of a restaurant is than by more than blank people is lawful and unlawful and prohibited. And you know, damn well, you're like, there's tripling amount of people in there. There's never ever right the occupancy by more than forty three people. There's people in this place. They would force that ship. When was the when was the last time you got on an elevator? You know they have those signs no more than like eighteen hundreds of my tomatoes ahead, that's all you ever going to the elevator, It's like, no more than eighteen hundred pounds, and you get on the elevator with like this three fat people. You start trying to figure outybody's weight. Yeah, I started ended up. They're like, okay, that's guys three hundred, guys six fifty. They're like and then we're like, something's gonna get on. You're like, oh no, don't get on the cell. You put us over because you know you're over at that point. If that lady gets on on the seventh floor, you're fucked. You gotta start weighing people in your head. You know. One time, my friend thought he was a fucking smartass, and he was drunk, and we were leaving my apartment, and um, we get on my elevator at my house and the elevator was going down and I starts jumping up and down in the fucking elevator in my elevator. Guess what the goddamn thing stopped between floors. I had a call, I had it, pressed that button, wait for the operator come on. It was a nightmare and now it took about a half hour to get us out. Several years ago. Don't never invite a movie house again. I want to update from last episode. Remember I told you about Vinnie from City Bank and I felt like he was talking me. Okay, So let's say Thursday, Monday, I see Vinnie from City Bank again again different time. So when we walked from the garage, we I walk about a block and a half. I crossed over to rat Park and that's why I keep running into him. So on Tuesday, after seeing him on Monday, I stayed on the right side of the street. I didn't cross over to the park right. So I'm gonna I'm gonna stay on the right side of the street the whole time. Now I'm definitely not gonna see him. There he was on your and he goes hey. But because I swear I'm not talking you, he just viny from the block. Look, you want to tell me it's a coincidentock, you want to tell you. You want to tell me that we run into each other at three different times on your commute, that's coincidence. But the one day I don't cross the street, and I didn't. It wasn't like he ran from across the street. He was walking up the street. The one day I don't cross, he doesn't cross. I think you should videotape him next time. I'm gonna have to. I need cell phone video. I'm gonna have to like fill myself walking this way. I could take it into the precinct after anything. Bad hat you know, I saw this is not like a FAM's talking about it. I again twice this week. I didn't see him today, but I think today was the day he deliberately didn't. I'm telling you it's it's you know, a good guy, then he's a good guy. Yes, yeah, anyway, last week was our well, this week was your birthday on Monday. My birthday was Thursday. Were four days birthday, by the way, scary, Happy birthday to me. I got a very unique birthday card. I'm gonna say it's my first ever card under these circumstances. Hold on, let me give you some birthday music, some birthday music. Yeah, we're gonna do a fifty cent well the Beatles were we're playing. I got something better on Benegan song, the Bennegan's Benigan's who Hands It? G Gi Friday's birthday song. Any place I've had a fight with a manager. Here you go, here's some birthday for you. Hey, hey baby, let's go. Happy birthday, Happy birthday, Happy birthday, Happy birthday, Happy Birthday. Happiest a fair in the big house. Are you okay? I'm good. So it's a letter from Texas and the card is addressed to well, it's addressed to Dave Brody, so I would just say in the future, David is preferred. Um and and don't quote me like I've said Dave Brody on phone taps. I don't like it in writing. I don't like to see Dave. I don't have an E in my name, so there you go. Okay, So it's a very unusual return address. And I got a card. Uh. It's a religious card celebrating you on your birthday. Very nice, and it says dear Dave. Okay, Uh, we should happy birthday with the date on it and everything it says, may each moment of your birthday be a reminder of God's favorite wonderful love for you. Okay. I hope you have a great birthday, even though it's totally against your cur margin ways or maybe because of love you. M J. And inside the card, since I'm mentioning, I don't even know MJ's last name. So first of all, m J, however you're listening to this podcast, bless you, thank you, good luck to you sorry, stay say. There's a little piece of paper, little piece of paper that says General Inmate Correspondence, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. So my guess is that m J is currently uh spending some time in a Texas facility and still found time with whatever privileges and abilities he gets to send me a birthday card and that that was amazing, That is amazing and really really touched me. And uh, I just thank you. And that's funny there was that because um and I feel like I got the only Jay sent me the same card. Happy with this card is a beautiful car with flowers to you on your birth day. Okay, bergs for celebrating the life God has given you, so enjoy his marvelous blessings and everything you do. Dear scary, loving thoughts and wishes are being sent to you for a day of happiness and blessing. Happy birthdays. I remember you saying once you decorated your home with flowers. I'm sure glad because I'm down to only flowers in cards. Have a great have a good one, Love m J. So m J also from from Texas. Let's see where this is from? Ye, North Texas. Let's see where it's from. Dallas. Do you think he's ad his weekend home in Miami? What do you mean, let me see where this is from. It's from Marlin, Texas, Yes, m J lending? Oh yeah, yeah, Okay. The point is, the point is when when don't you just said, let me see where this one is from. I mean, no disrespect, m J. We love you. I love you. I'm scary I have to call you out. Why because the man is in a place where probably doesn't get to roam free. And you're like, I want to what this one's from. Maybe he was skiing in Colorado for the weekend. Is it from Vail? He's from the same place. Um, I just want to say, m J, thank you so much. Uh how awesome is that? It really is? It's very thoughtful. You know, he was the only one I did. My birthday came first. I just I just think that. I listen, I've never been in prison. I saved this card, by the way, or you know, inconcerated of something. You know, you don't get the same freedoms obviously, right, you don't get the same budget, you don't get to go to Hallmark stores, and so the fact that that he spent his time and money to think of us is unbelievable. Tould ye could be she I didn't think of that, m mj. Um, I don't you know? I I don't know. I mean, I guess we could look up the facility that you're located in and see if it's co ed or whatnot. But whatever the case, um, it's it's it's very nice. It's very nice. I'm very humble. And so all of you other slices that aren't in uh incocerated. You had time to go to a store, You got us nothing? Are you complaining a shame to yourselves? Yeah? This this JA, against all odds, did this for us, And I'm blown away to thank you, m J thank you very much. Know what, Henry, you want to say something? No, what the fact the fact that a lot of ours, a lot of our slices slide into our d n anytime any time you guys all nice call it. At the same time, nothing got nothing from where are you Daniel? Where are you Daniel? No, I wasn't going down that road. What I wanted to say, you know, in all sincerity, is anytime a listener comments on an Instagram picture for the show or anyone on anyone on the show, or or me or d M S me, or I see a tweet that it is more than enough for me, that so many happy birthdays, and they always hashtag slice for life, hashtag slice for Life. So to me, whenever I see that, it warms the cockles of my heart warm like they could be. They could be putting, you know, a comment over on the Elvis Durand show, like yesterday, Uh, the Jersey Kid Greg t along with Danielle and myself, we all, you can just say and me, we all took a picture together because we both, all three of us were celebrating our twenty fifth anniversary working for the for I Heart Media, which wasn't one time Clear Channel, which was one time Shamrock, which was at one time mal Right Broadcasting anyway, the same we all came from that company. That company kept getting bought and bought and bought. So we were at this We've been at this facility and working for Z one hundred except for Greta now for twenty five years. And people were putting comments that left and right. But every once in a while, Brodie one would come by and say I love you on the show this and that and they do hashtag slice for life or slice. I'm like, you know what, that's awesome because now I know they really listen. So I that to me is worth as much as a card from m J. And as as much as you are right. We also yeah, we'll never turn down for us. And that's coming up next. That was early early, it's always been a half hour. No, we've been talking for a half hour. You had the jingle, Well I didn't have it before the commercial. That's why I needed time to pull it. Bro good boys, they not to give the stuff. Rely again, you always get the second one. That's easy, the bro good boys they not to give the stuff. Free ship for us. There we go, There we go. Now we can get it. You can always send first set to us. You know, we don't have to just get it to us at thirty two Avenue of the Americas, sixth Avenue, just called sixth Avenue Avenue, sixth Avenue, New York City, New York, New York, New York. And why and why one zero zero one three, and you could send free ship for us. Attention Scary Jones, David Brody, Attention Brooklyn boy, don't say Brooklyn Boys, say Scary Jones, David Brody, David Brody, Scary Jones, Scary Jones, David Brody. You won't get here then. Okay, So we're talking about merch. We're working on the Brooklyn Boys merchant are working on it, and you guys have been sending suggestions. So Scary couldn't remember what a pop socket was called the function at the moment of it, right, okay, and so we're probably going to make pop sockets. But don't let that stop our listener. Augarita Orange the greatest name ever, possibly by the way, Margarite orange one pound. Yeah. In fact, when you peel off all the skin from a margaritea orange, you get for us. So she was different marguerite oranges. She's juicy, be careful, pretty shipped for us. Que little John song with margaritea oranges squirred all over the place. Could you eat marguerite orange on your diet? Are being filthy? Stopped? Any Actually it was. It was actually a typed up note. I don't know if margaritea oranges are Twitter handle. I think it's Margarite Orange. I think it's her real name with a great name. Oh my god, I mean MARGUERITEA Lime would have been like nailed it, but Margarite Orange. That's great anyway. Margarite Orange said, hey, guys, Margarite Orange. Here, I got Brooklyn Boys pop sockets. I made sure to get too, because we know us in free ship for us stand some with one of you. Love you guys buns. Thanks for popping up in my life with your podcast, She went to some web. You guys keep the podcast world popping. These gifts should be called pod sockets. They will be when we sell them. Thank you. Okay, I'm done, I swear anyway. Thanks for the hilarious content, the arguing, the job still rating, and even the rants, and even the rants that makes it sound like she puts up with the rants like that. Don't look into it. Make it the best podcast ever. Enjoy the free ship and give you a girl a shout out. We did that a bunch of times. Take care um hashtag may help the following guest hashtag Dill Hill, hashtag my man, hashtag brought and scary hashtag, hit the jingle bitch hashtag don't tweet me. Warm regards, Marguerite Orange, Range Margharita whatever you wanna call me. And then there's a picture of her. We met her at the New York City Wine a Food festival. I remember her. That's mauguite orange. So so we've got pop sockets with our Brooklyn Boys logo. So now let me comment on this. You have yours, I haven't one more thing. She tissue papered skiis in orange, which is one of the colors of the More of the podcast, and she tissue papered mind and blue and said, I know you like blue, right And by the way, you got the margarite orange one. I got the margaritea orange one. And I will say this, we do have our blue and orange in our logo for the New York Mets. We're having a train wreck of a week. We'll talk about that in a second, if you're even care. But she didn't just put the ship together like Willie Knilly. She actually went to a website, got the design and this is a quality pop socket. I will settle for no less than this, this level of quality when we offer these to the slices in the merch store, because this is this that's some hard plastic right there. No, no, if you feel that if you put your finger along the logo. Yeah, it's a big round, it's around logo, it's pop socket and it is all right. I like this, So we love the free shift. I really wonder how much you paid for this. It's our job to get you guys. You yes, and you guys are getting us the merchandise. So we're how much you think someone will pay for this? Let's talk about that. Okay, all right, we'll leave here. Whatever I'll bring you, fire it out. It's all gonna be reasonably priced. We're not lookingna, you know. Hey, shout out my to my buddy Dave, Dave Jacob me. Oh uh, Sex on the way, Dave, Sex on the way, Sex on the way, Dave. Dave had had it with robo callers and scammers. I want to play just a very quick twenty seconds of him getting revenge. It was like like a demonic computer talking, call us back at this as soon as possible on our number, before we begin with the legal action, perfectly structured sentences. Right, that's exactly That's exactly what he did. It was like, by the way, the guy who called has the coronavirus. That's where he's calling from. But but it's like Nan, yes, is a very quick ex I really hate scammers. Everyone called this phone number back from our department is to inform you that there are anyone found against you and your social Security number has been suspected for Frauduran protivities. So once you give this message, time to call us back as soon as possible on our number before we begin with illegal proceedings against you. Eight four four one seven seven three eight two I repeat eight four four I guess what. I called this guy several times as it's pretty funny. Thank you, thank you for calling the security How hey, asshole, why are you pretending to be so security? Yeah, you fucking prick, stop scamming people? You ask your ship. All right, it goes on anyway, You get the point. The point point, but the guy, the guy was like, didn't. Neither one of them was right creative with the insults. But the point is this, if you're trying to even pretend and trick me for a second, then I in the Social Security department. As soon as somebody curses at me, am I gonna start going off on that professional fucking anyway that went on for a while. I just wanted to give you a little taste. The security department only hires people with that accent. Yeah. Anyway, the point is is, yeah, it's time for us to fight. Bass got a scamboni. I got a big one here. I talked about this before, but this one, this one, it's over the line and I did the math and it's so offensive I had to share it with you. There's a there's an ad for a car dealership in the let's say the New Jersey area, Brooklyn, Oh in Brooklyn sounds familiar. Now you can lease, by the way, when you lease, when they have the least prices, that's the low end. Call it nothing. You're lucky. You get air conditioning, so that the base model, right, you get a radio maybe so the So this is the for the Ford Edge se which is a little bit better than the base model. All wheel drive. It's got antil breaks. The fourth cylinder, which is by the way, come on, cause too big for a four cylinder. It's got a couple of options. Would you believe only a hundred and eighty nine dollars a month, big red letters, Look at that big money down, No injuried financing, don't ruin the bid. I'm just doing You're running the bed. You're running the bed. That's just no. You can't yell no money down if my bid is about money down. But wait a second, all those commercials have no money down. This is not no money down. This is what I'm saying. Well, that's a fucking Scambody, did I say that's not a tomato when you're eating the tomato? Did I ruin you? Up it? This isn't me ruining your big telling you whenever I hear adds that the first thing I think of. So, it's a hundred and eighty nine dollars, which is a great deal for it, because the FD edges a nice car. I'm looking at the fine print, all right. And by the way, it says VIN hashtag, which that means VIN number. Fuck you. That's that's redundant, right there, Vin hashtag. As you know, the hashtag sign means number. Okay, sixty nine down seven thousand dollars. But so I did the math on that seven thousand dollars, right, it's a hundred eighty nine dollars lease for thirty six months. If you divide that seven thousand by thirty six months, if you spread it out, how much does that come out? And ninety four dollars. The down payment is more per month than the lease, so combined you're actually paying three hundred and eighty three dollars, plus the fact you're giving them the money three years early. So really financially, with interest in everything and the value of your money, you're really paying like over four hundred dollars a month for the least. That's despicable. But then you don't get to like sit on it till the end. It's going up front, right, so they get to hold onto yours. And if the car gets stolen or damaged, you lost that seven thousand, you're out. You're out. But you know what, a lot of people will fall for it, because they wouldn't run add like that if they were not effective. So you know people falling for that, we know, you know, hold on, I want to do another one here. I listened, by the way, I didn't know where you were going with that. But anytime listen. First of all, if you're listening every time you hear one of those commercials, you gotta listen for the guy in the background. He says it during all the commercials, no money down, no brand new. If it doesn't say that, you're being Scamboni brand new Ford Fusion a hundred and nine dollars a month for twenty four months. You're like, wow, that's like okay, you know how much money have to put down, which comes out to a hundred and nine a month, so you know the down the down payment, the down payment broken out over the twenty four months is two hundred dollars. The leases only you're paying two thirds of the least, so you're actually paying three hundred and seven dollars a month. But they're advertising is a hundred and eight. It's terrible. Fuck you call companies release because that's a major, major, major scare. How is that? People don't know how all is the fine print on those I'm wearing my glasses to read it. You see they take a glasses off. Can you see it? It's a blob. But now I don't have My eyes are not great anymore. But but you look at a giant red letter in red numbering one oh eight, Well where can I get a cough? And one oh eight? Well you gotta put five grand down? Oh look, I don't know. I don't count other people's money, right, but I know if I'm looking for a car, for a hundred eight dollars a month leasing. I probably don't have five thousand dollars to drop on the car for the right to then pay a lease, right, because who can afford that money up front? Nobody. If you have five thousand dollars, either buy the car or get a better car and pay more for the lease, because you're you're paying ultimately like four hundred bucks for the least you can get a link in for that. We should call them up and call them on their ship and ask him why it costs more to put down on the car. Yeah, I wonder why they're trying to run Scamboni's on us. Cool, they're gonna tell you to come in. I don't car dealerships don't work that way. I know you know what, they're a local dealers. Just yeah, I'm not giving them. You're not gonna because we're gonna give them a free press. We don't want to do that. I did say, what borrow they're located into? What type of cars? You said? Right? But still a million places and don't start calling around. This is just this is not a specific everybody does it. Yeah, I got a problem with outlets like outlet malls no, the wall like sockets outlets like American twenty vault American American outlets, three prong outlets, the three prongs. Yeah. How when you look at a three prong outlet, you've got the too, the two vertical dashes right for the plug and the bottom one and then the whole. That's the ground right now what you call it the bottom one the ground, right, But you said it's it's the round one is the bottom one. Yeah. If you're looking at a traditional American outlets, the big prong, the ground or whatever is the Then if you have a hair dryer, right, it usually now has a search protector like it pops. So the plug on a hair dryer is square, right. Okay. Oh, by the way, do not ever cut the bottom one off if you are socking only has two holes? Would do that? You get in the center some two some people you can cut that off. They will fucking saw it off somehow. It's that is that you want to cause someone takes a saw to the plug. People have been known, they know people have been what you're reading the paper TMZ. Another man died today in Connecticut trying to cut the plug off third the third prong on the bottom. Let's say this that people with this is not a thing. People that have old school sockets that only have the two and they kick get the dept at home deeper for we know that. You and I know that. So you think that like they bend it and they break it off, they break it off. They say never to do that, but people have done it. And of course that the same people that are falling for car scambonies that they're paying seven thousand seven down. Here's what I want to say. It's the fucking worst in a hotel. But you just said it. I didn't. You don't know what I'm where I'm going with this. I don't you said the whole is the bottom. One always the bottom. Look at every fucking outlet in the studio. Look around, okay, let's look over by the door. Look at one by the door. That's a mistake. Look at one of them by right of them is upside down. But that's in the studio only, that's not in life. You go to the last hotel I stayed in, there was one plug by the sink. It was upside down. Let's get the engineer in here. That's a mistake. Yes, it's a mistake. Why am I just realizing we've been in this studio because things don't bother you like they bothered me. It's been bothering me eight years. Why are they upside that they installed the ship upside that's correct, But now when you you try to drop the bottom is the top right. If you try to blow your hair with like one of those boxes, you gotta take it upside down where the wire comes out the top, and then it pulls on it when you draw in your hair out. That is awful, awful, awful. It's supposed to be left right, bottom, done right. I cannot believe by the way, I cannot be I'm staring at this for the first time. That's gonna it's gonna haunt. This is gonna bother me every day now it's been haunt. Come to the student. I've been saying five and a half years, five and a half years, every fucking weekday of my life, pretty much vacations. I don't split in this studio. I have never noticed. You don't know the upside down. You never had to plug anything in. It drives me crazy. Why did they do it that way? If I was buying a new house the like I wouldn't buy the house. I don't want to take the time to turn them up. So there's the same people that didn't install speakers in the hallways. People. We work in radio and radio. The sampot is I Heart Media's contracting company built the studios, our own division. They're radio people by nature, by trade. That is what they down with upside down plug just because I hate because I hate you down upside down plugs. So yeah, when they when they installed, when all the radio stations came around, they didn't. No one thought to put like speakers in the ceilings to hear the radio stations. So now they had they had to go on and retro fitted after this, the speakers laying on ledges, that's yes, sloppy. How do you not how do you not provide it? You're an electrician, you have a job install outlets. You know you how do you do it upside down? Your con your contracted by a radio company. But you do the plugs all day, all day. That's your Do you put an outlets? Right? You're an electrician. I'm a doctor. I put your heart on the other side of your chest. There has to be a reason why. There has to be a reason. I'm telling you they do it in hotels all the time. You fucking had drives upside down. I want there's got maybe it's easier to go upside down. And just another thing is that like one of those things and you go to the bathroom and I'm I'm calling out these quick marks, these gas station ones, but they're everywhere you go to a bathroom. A lot of places have the paper the toilet paper roll on the wall. It's that double roll where you pull the thing out and right that it's on the is making jerking out. I'm not jerking out. I'm waving my hand for like the the spenser did not I did the wave, all right, you know what I'm talking about. Like when you sit on the toilet, to your right or left is the double toilet paper dispenser. And it looks like like an Ald cassette deck. It's it's it's horizontal. It's right, okay. It's not the double one where one's on top of the other. It's their giant rolls and one's next to the other and the one gets empty, the other one kicks in. When you sit on the toilet, do you sit like you're on a train with your knees pointing forward, or do you spread them out? Your man spread on the toilet right? And when you wipe, right, when you wipe, you gotta you gotta spread your legs little bit right. You go from mind in the front, you go from the back of the front back to the front. You go, you do you reach your ound back? Yeah? Reach back hi? Either way. You can't get your legs apart because they put this the spenser right next to the toilet. Don't the people who build the bathrooms and hang the toilet paper dispensers sit on toilets. Shouldn't they be a little higher and a little further away from you? They should Why should I have to reach up and under the dispenser to get the toilet paper and my right knee or left knee can't move because the thing is there. You're like, I can't move my life. But these are things to keep you up at night. No, they keep me up in the bathroom. Then you're gonna sit side saddle to get toilet paper. Well, first of all, I don't have this problem because I don't take dumps in gas station bathrooms, and nor do I do that in I'm not saying it's only really you never use a public bathroom to go to the bathroom. No, I barely go here. Okay, I'm sorry, Mr the Bouge again, you don't. I'm just I'm not talking about only gas stations. Bring it off. Because timing is different. I'm a later in the day, earlier in the morning. You don't always have timing late that, yes, I do. I'm regular. Why do you put your poops in your phone and schedule them? No, dude, are you crazy? You're not on a schedule. By your theory, no one would have a poop their pants because they've got it all planned most of most of the time. I'm gonna say ninety eight percent of the time on o' clock. I'm on a clock in the middle of the middle of the more early morning to middle afternoon hours. I'm good. You know you never during the show, I mean no, you know what I'm saying, they take a piss. I'm talking about that. Never. Never, never, unless when some bad food came in here and I'm like, oh my god, what was that? And those are those are rare occasion. That's not believable. It's not you never get an upset stomach at work where you got gotta go to the bathroom? No, never, no get upset stomachs. I don't what do you plan those two? No? I normally you know, I'm a four o'clock that's not possible four o'clock guy, four or five o'clock. So you're always home at four o'clock. You're never out pretty much. What if you're at the mall? You know? But on weekends is different. Weekends it's whenever I get home. Whenever you go to the mall in the afternoon during your bathroom time, you just won't go early morning, man, early morning? What do you penguin around the mall and hold it in? What are you doing? Never? Never go in the mall the mall. No airplane bathrooms never, you've never you've never taked dropped the deuce on a plane in an airplane bathroom. Never in my life. I'm lucky enough. I'm lucky. I go, I I go p in the bathroom in an airport, in an airplane. I don't even what do you do? You fly to your Okay, Singapore? I went to Singapore. Yeah, I got up with the two or three times long as the flight to Singapore twenty hours and you didn't poop the all time and you got off the plane. You didn't poop in the airport. Nope, you didn't poop to two or three hours later you got the hotel. Yes, right when wa wait until you got to the the hotel. And you're telling me you've never been in a hotel whether the spencer is in the wrong spot. Oh, I have. But I'm like, God, these poor bastard who were sitting on the toilet right now, say something. The minute I stay in hotel, I take to paper off to the spencer into knees, right, I put it on the floor next to me. That's it over. And then the housekeeping, if I let them in, they put it right back on there. Don't take it right off or I hide the roll, So they put one back on the roll and I got my hit in one. I got right next to the toilet. I don't because they never placed him in the right place. They place him where they have they have room, Well, the sink is there, the toilets there, there's really no room. Put it next to his knee fucking cap. That's it. Yeah, I do notice that every time in a hotel bathroom, it's always next to my freaking knee. It shouldn't be next year, it should be. It should be six inches ahead of your knee and up, so you just reach forward. It should be arm heights. Should you got problems there too? No say boom, not for you? Yeah, your yours does not go out past your knee. It should be up. It should be at your arm length. I'm the toilet paper should beat your hands length, reach out, grab it, boom done. Don't put it down by my knee. I think the problem because then when you pull it, you bang right into your leg. I know why. I know why. It's all cock eyed, because people like you don't go to the bathroom in public, because the bathroom the right, the people that plan it, and all these people come in. There's so many kick cooks in the kitchen. You know, when you have a contractor with all these people, like building ship that nobody thinks of functionality. There isn't a person, a creative person on staff that just walks around and tests it for functionality for our people going to appreciate this, is this going to go well? I'm gonna pretend like I'm a customer at the hotel trying to take a deuce and they don't they that person on stabs, They don't really exist. These are just a bunch of clunky people like throwing ship together. Nobody thinks of the final product, if if it's gonna be, and what the listener or I'm sorry, what the customer experience is gonna be. But you have to stay in the hotel where you have to turn the water on right hold on. So it's one thing to turn the water on. Then once it's on, you can then adjust the temperature. Of course, so you have to turn it on and your hand is under the water, so whatever temperature it's at, it's gonna come out and hit you. You can't get the water on without getting blasted by the water so that you can then adjust the temperature. Give me, just give me a hot and a cold knob. It's not making it fancy. I don't want euro chic. Just give me the knobs. Let's it. I would turn the hot and cold. You like a double you're a double knob guy, I'm do you know why I turned the cold on and then I turned the hot when I want it? No? No, no, dude, single single faucet, single faucett that you have to go. How much do I How much do I move it up? How much? One like? One knob? Fine? What is fine? As long as that knob turns the water on. If that's the on, I'm fine. But if I gotta push a button, pull a plug, and then I don't want to, don't give me that, don't give me. I don't care what the Europeans do. I want America, America. Damn, the water is on. That's it. I don't want a lot of effort. Oh and listen, you know I love cruise ships, right, love them? But why on cruise ships? And I don't listen you you're a cruise ship guy. You built a up your bond as a captain. I don't care. This is rhetorical. They should find a way not to Why is the flush button behind the lid? I know you want me to close the lids? I don't want to. What if I want a pre flush? What if I want a courtesy flush? I can't because the lid is blocking it. Though. They want you to close the lid so you don't spread bacteria and charticles everywhere. So I gotta get up off the toilet, close and penguin around in this in a semi circle courtesy Flush Penguin. Back around, sit, back down, finish, and then I gotta do it all over again, and I gotta put the seat down and flush it again. Yes, Bernie Sanders, No, Bernie Sanders. We'll talk about the one percent and there today and Medica I all and flushes for everyone's just be happy on a cruise. I love cruises. But why is the flush button behind the lid? I think it's first sanitary reasons. They do it on purpose, so you have to close the lids. Fucking me on purpose? What you're saying, Ah, you are you exasperate me? I'm out of energy. I haven't even gotten to it rant yet. You want to read some stuff? What do you got? Yeah, I'm gonna talk face on yet. I'm gonna you're like I interrupted to the other day. The other day, I was expressing my fascination with Peloton and the Peloton bikes, you know those, you know, the exercise bikes that, and you looked at me, and you're like, dude, don't get sucked in, and and and I gotta say one thing. I never thought gave it a second thought until I spent some time with Froggy who's on our big show. Froggy and his wife Lisa invested in one, and I said, enjoy it until March. So Froggy sat there and told me about the Peloton and the Peloton experience. Not a sponsor, not a sponsor. No, this is nothing to with commercials. And I was like, wow, So you mean they offer workout classes and you can go online and meet other people and you could all do the workouts together. He said, not like that. He's scary. He goes, do you know that you're enveloped in the screens and you can choose from over hundreds of settings, and you can like you could be jogging on the Las Vegas striping it goes by, he says, the workout goes by so quick. Yeah. He sold it to me just by telling me about his and he said that you he says, it's gonna make you want to exercise and workout. Yeah. So I'm sitting there and I'm like, oh my god, I wish I had the room for one. I do not have the room for one. By the way, this is again not a commercial, not trying to get one for free. I don't have any specially. Okay. By the way, if you're a Pelton sales president, want to send one up. That's fine, there's no Yeah, I do not. I do not. I live in an apartment. I cannot I cannot afford one, and nor can I know, don't have the space. But you were take Brody was like, oh, you're getting suckered. You're getting suckered. What is it about Peloton? That's it's the exercise machine trap, which hits everybody in January or right before the summer. Exercise machine trap. Here's what it is. First of all, would you agree that I need to work out and I should do something to supplement after the doctor we both do dr F after dr F is done. Don't you think that that's irrelevant. Here's the problem. It's like joining a gym, right, you join a gym because mentally you want to, like, I just accomplish something. I took the first step. But that's not the hard part. That's the easy part. The hard part's going. It's like I'm gonna go on a special diet, right, I'm gonna go to the storm by grapes and and carrots and the baby carrots and and and apples, and now those will be my snacks. So mentally like I'm on my way, baby. But then you don't eat them. The grapes rot. Well, you eat the grapes, and then you get ice cream because you're like, well, I had grapes, I was eating healthy. I can afford the ice cream. Right. So you're saying that that because I've never bought it. I never brought an exercise. What I'm saying is the first part of weight loss and exercise is the purchase. It's the purchase. You're like, yes, I am on my way, I got me one of those I bought some of that. I signed up for this, I'm gonna go to that plan, yoga, class, everything, and then you don't go, or you go until you wears off. So what happens is you buy the exercise machine because you're like, I'm in new Me, new year, New Yeah, I can't get there without this this new thing, the bow flex, the super flex, the rowing machine, whatever it is that they get you with. Yes, I would say one in ten people use it forever, loves it and loses weight, looks like the guy in the commercial. Other than that, they become close ers. Yeah right. If you don't believe me, my mother had the okay, and that it became that it was like if you don't really if you think I'm I'm exaggerating, go on eBay, go on Facebook swap sites, and you can buy a thousand of them that all say barely used, only used for a month, still has the plastic on the handles. Because the thought, it's the thought you love, but it's not the exercise. Not going to go through with it. So I'll give you for instance, I say this because we have one. We have a recumbent schwin bike. A recumbent means you sit down and you put your feet up in your pedal. Right, you can lay back a little bit. That's what I like. So some of the members of my household like, Dad, we gotta get one. We got it, we all got We're gonna do it, do it, do it. I said, there's exercise machine trap. No no, no, no, no, no no no, we will on it. This is we're gonna have this. We've got a regimen, we got a spot for it. You can plug your iPad in and watch TV shows as you're peddling. In fact, we're gonna fight over it, dad, were all three of us. I said, Well, I come home at one o'clock. But then when I get home, whatever time i'm on it, I don't want to fight over it. Okay, I got one with settings for multiple people but different profile for each other. But I got a five hundred and something dollar bike for like onety on Facebook swap site, barely used. Why because the guy didn't want it because he got exercise machine scammed. He got in the trap. So I thought it's for whatever. One for whatever, won fifty whatever. It was worth the investment to get a new machine. I saved four hundred bucks, and if we don't use it, I can sell it for more than that. It's in great condition. We've had it for a year. It is still in great condition. Twice I've had to take clothing off the seat where it was just it was there temporarily until it made it to the laundry. Now that's not my family, that's everybody's family. That's where they go. It folds up, easy to store unto your bed. Why because that's where it's gonna be, under your bed. You're not gonna sell it right away. You're gonna convince yourself, you know what, in March. I'm gonna June for the summer I gotta, I gotta. We should call Froggy to see if he's still using it, because no, no, no, no, no, he's still using it. But let's call him every month and see. But he's not gonna tell the truth. He's not gonna tell the truth. He's oh, yeah, yeah, we're still loving. And I listen, that's nothing. There's nothing against Froggy. I believe Froggy is dead set on it, and I believe he means and listen, Froggy, give me that one out of ten and you listen to this podcast, and I can't be. And there's not a chance, dude, I can't be one out, can't be the second one out of you get out of you get winded getting up from the couch. Come on, whether you're thin or not. I know, I know, I listen. I wasn't even consider. I just was. I was fascinated. We ended up in a twenty minute conversation about it, about all the things that it does and how it's different than other exercise machines. He says, you don't understand. This takes exercise machines to another level level. You can set it to work on your your your thighs, on your abs because you you have personal trainers that you're you're meeting online and they're and they're they're coming on the screen to make to hold you accountable for your workout, that you sign up for classes with other people. And then what happens. One day you twist your ankle going to work and you're like, oh, I can't ride today, my ankle hurts, and that's it. You're done. You're done again. I know that you're listening to this podcast and you work out every it works for you. It probably know a lot of people work out listening to this podcast, and there are people in good shape. There are people we've gotten tweets this week I listen to you are healthy people. We scary and eye We are not healthy people. We are not going to buy an exercise now. Look, if you go to a gym and personal training, tomatoes yells at you eating tomatoes like apples health and you will be eating doughnuts like apples in a month and a half. So stop. It's a good ide The machine is a great idea. The idea of it is great. The whole purpose of these commercials is to make them enticing enough that you fall into the trap oh, I wouldn't do the bo flex and the suit with all these other ones, the thigh master, I am going to the crunch machine. I'm gonna be honest. If I had the space and I lived in a house, I might I might have already fallen into the trap. Okay, I might have you. Okay, here's what I want. Here's what I want. This is what tell me this wouldn't make more. I got challenges of my brother because he set up He's got an entire room that he set up as a gym in his house. I'm like you, you have a gym in your house, right, that's the whole room. He doesn't need to go to ever. Again, Here's what I would like to see. When you watch all those exercise commercials. What do you see ripped guys and fit and righte ab six pounds because they use the munch blaster, the yeah, the ab smasher, right, the bunt crusher, the gut masher, oh my god, the food pop, the foot pop masher, the taint tickler, right, every one of them. They're ripped, right, But those guys are already in shape because they are people who work out. These were not people who are fat and bought and bought the titty shaker, and all of a sudden they're in good shape. Now, these are people who all they exercise their gym rats and they're using these they're using the the ainu Is analyzer, and they're getting the great butt. Right, show me a fat guy who loves the machine, who's on it. He's on the peloton. He's a big fat dufus and he's like, oh, and he's and he's on the bike. Show me that guy, and then show me every day he's on the peloton. Not gonna happen, right, doesn't exist. They will fill a commercial round as soon as Duncan Donuts comes out with the hot Sauce donut, which they just did. He's over getting it. Forget about it. You're not. We are never going to be the ripped guys. And it's not because we don't get on the machines. We don't get on the machines because we already know we're not gonna be those guys said, it is sad. But speaking of Facebook swap sites, you know, I sell stuff on Facebook. So I put up this old printer. I may have mentioned it. I have some people looking to buy it. I'm asking forty dollars for a three printer. That it's it's a big machine. It's it's it's too big for our space now, so I wrote, So this person wrote, uh, is it available and is the price negotiable? I wrote back, Yes, it's available, but forty is my lowest. Again, it's a three. We talked about this. No, no, this guy, No, there's another another offer, the person wrote, Ben wrote five dollars or bye b y e. So I wrote, by right, you gave him your price, right, this person for the TV I'm selling for two hundred and sixty dollars. Right, great shape, it's worth three hundred at least, he says, I offer you eighty dollars for it cash at hand, which, by the way, it's cash on hand. I'm not gonna come him, I said, no, sorry, not even close. He writes back, How close can you come to my offer? I'm asking to sixty? He offered me eighty. How is that is that his least price is the least I get for eighty dollars? Then I want to down payment of a hundred and fifty. How is eighty an offer for to forty? You know? And what is close to me nine, I'm sell on the TV. It's worth three. He must have had his behavior rewarded in the past. Then there's got to be pushed over people out there because he's continuing to do it. He's I The problem with these people are they? Is? They is the problem? The problem is the problem is the subject. The problem is that there's definitely people in this universe that are quoting to set things like that. Yeah, and then they've said, hey, eighty dollars and they're like sold, you want to It's almost coming at you. You're not getting of the dregs of humanity. I've come to the conclusion that people on eBay and Craigslist, that's not nice, that's not fair, some of them, some of some of these there are a scomet Nemon Marcus, the scum everywhere, the neemon demons are out. We just got to be a marketplace. It's actually called the marketplace on Facebook, right. There's got to be a marketplace where they're honest. People that are getting that are getting good prices and good you know what. I'm thinking that the swamp is even there are people for me, it's like making a bad trade and fantasy football, I know. It's like, you know, my guy is injured. Yeah I'll give I'll give you my injured guy and a backup. Yeah right, Well that's what the equivalent. This is the equivalent of that. But but except you're dealing with real money. Okay, some guy. Look, there may be a subculture I'm not aware of of people who bought her. There may be a bad system. People like a group of people who trade. But three people have written back to me, know the right trade question mark trade right, and they'll go, yeah, I can't, I can't. I should have had it pulled up. The guy's like, yeah, I've got a toaster, I've got a DVD player, and he went down a list of the things he has he wants to trade me for my TV. Why would I want your old ship. I'm trying to get rid of my old ship and I'm not gonna take my two sixty so I can buy old ship. I don't want your old you know, your old speakers. I can't believe people do that. That's the thing. Look a swap shop. Look, I understand it's Facebook swap, but it really it's a sales site. But if you want to swap that's great. But I'm asking for two sixty. Now, if the guy had like a five hundred dollar thing, I would think he stole it, and I don't want it. Then I don't want his stolen stuff on my TV. My TV is not stolen. You think stolen ship goes up there? Oh yeah, really defense and ship? Yeah, man, because you see stuff and it's it's not a price that you like. What something's wrong? Oh you want to another scamboni? I got a scamboni for it, so you know, I'm I was looking for a car for my daughter who gets her gets her driver's license in a few months, so she has her permit. Where is it here? Hold on? And uh so there's when you go on the on the Facebook's there's people who sell their own cars like, oh, I'm selling my car. Uh it's my wife drove the car and uh she doesn't drive anymore and she wants to sell it. Right, Okay, no problem. But there are other guys who pretend it's their car, but their dealers. So this guy puts his car off, they put cars up and then you look and they have like ten other cars for sale, right, and they all have the same vibe. They all have that same sleazy. They're all around the same age guys. Okay, So I see this guy's got three cars for sale and they're all like a couple of thousand dollars lower than they should be. M hm. So I look up the guy and I've seen other people do this where they they'll put up a price like three thousand dollars, and when you ask them about it, they go, just so you know, the three thousand is the down payment and I let you finance the rest. But they don't put that an in description. But so I so I said, hey, man, this car that I wastle interested in? I said, is the car there is the three thousand dollars the price or the down payment? Because some listings that's the down payment, but you don't have that listed. Also, can you provide the car facks? Are you a private dealer or is this your car? So they wrote back, that would be the down payment for the vehicle. You can finance the other four thousand. So these people are working with dealerships dealership. These guys who go to car auctions and stuff they buy other dealership. Now they act like a guy who was selling his own car. No, they know what I'm saying they're they're a wolf in sheep's clothing, is what you're saying, right, right, You're like, oh, you guys selling his cart to think that, but what you really are, right? And so the two thousand, it's not really two thousand. That's the down payment and I can finance or the four thousand for the six thousand dollar car. So then so they so then they go high. This is Jessica. I'll be the one helping you call my cell number and uh and make appointment. So he's got an assistant also, So that does that cell lead to someone's desk at a dealership is my question. I don't know. We are having a special right now giving away three dollar bonus. Dude, that's a dealership. That's not a private dealer. That's not a private person. He's not a dealer. He's a guy, and he's not he's a guy. Because we finance weekly payments range from and we need two recent pastetubs. I'm not sending you my past it sounds like to me, so I wrote back. So, so, by the way, they have a location, because this is our location, and if you need car insurance, we can help you with that too. So I said, no, thank you. I'm not a fan of misleading posts. Have a nice day, scambonies. Yeah, the world is full of scam bonies. But I'll tell you if you buy an exercise machine on Facebook. But that's not a Dealershi's a trap. It's just I'm gonna cross it off machine trap. Um, we have a lot of sounds here. I see the all about that bass pulled up from Kids Bop. That was Megan Trainer. Megan Trainer came in um a couple of days ago on Elvis Ram Big Show. So um, and she you know all about that basse no treble? Okay. So, so I wrote a joke for Elvis because she said, are we doing that here? Yeah? Used jokes. I just want to do this one joke. I need the sound. So Megan Trainer was saying that the kids Bought version, they change where she goes, I'm bringing sexy back, right. She says that line in the song right, they changed it in the kids Bot version too. I'm bringing it all back. But it sounds like they're saying plants come bring right. So they're bringing it all back, but it sounds like anal an. I'm bringing bringing anal back right, So I said, joke was I crossed off the B and I wrote, they should call that song It's all about the ass no B, no B right, because yeah, Elvis didn't do that joke, So I needed the audio. I don't want to do a joke. Okay, I do have some sound clips. We got the got a bunch speaking of Elvis. Oh my god, it says getting out of hand. This is man. We have invited Elvis on this podcast, the flagship podcast of the morning show, based on the one that ranks in the top twenty thirteen this week. Hold On our episode two weeks ago, medium amount of listens Episode one fourteen, for some reason, huge listens. I don't know why that is. I think this one's gonna have a lot. So if this episode gets huge listens and I remember one listen per day, we got an issue with hold On. If we add this one huge listenership the last week's huge, I think we're back in the top ten. All right. So we asked Elvis to promote his book Come on the Come Boys podcast top fifteen podcast and I R radio. He's like, nah, I don't have time. But then he did Serial Killers podcast with Scottie and Andrew no problem. Family. So then Bobby Brown, makeup guru, is on the show. She started a podcast. She says to Elvis, play the clip and listen to I just came back from the UK and launch a new podcast, which my producer, I'm an i heeart um employee, now my producer, said, do not leave Elvis without a commitment to do the show. You. Elvis will say yes, and Andrew will say too busy. Whever Andrew he's doing, I want to be too busy, yeah, he said, right past. He says, I would love to and then says Andrew is doing his job so he's not too busy. Play it again. Back from the UK a new podcast which my producer I'm an i heeart um employee, now my produce. She said, do not leave Elvis without a commitment to do the show. I'll happily do that. No not I I like Bobby Brown very much, but I guarantee week one. Her listeners don't know as a big listen as we do. I don't think it's about that for real, were family, We're the Brooklyn Boys. Hell, you know what. I think he's going to surprise us when we least expect it I do. He's gonna wait till we have nothing to talk to him about, and he'll come on and we're like, I don't know what we can talk to him about. No, No, I think he's just there's gonna be a day. Because I know Elvis. He's very playful, he's very spontaneous, and he's just gonna randomly show up and he's gonna burst in and we're gonna have a huge show planned and then he's gonna come in and he's gonna derail the show and we're gonna have the best time with him, and we will. That will be the best, and that will be a big listen podcast. I'm telling you, if we want big listens, we gotta get somebody. Somebody texted in to the show and they said, Elvis, you should go on the Brooklyn Boys podcast today. They've got free chicken palm, so saw that. Apparently not, but the point was they were trying to convince him, entice him to come into the podcast. People have been tweeting at Elvis Durant, gotta come on, at Brody, at David Brodie, at Scary Jones, at the Brooklyn Boys podcast, gotta go on the podcast I have yet to see him respond. I don't think the army is out in full force. Well let's not. Let's not bombard the guy, because no, we don't want to bombard him. But I'm saying subtle remark for those people that didn't send his birthday cards, here's how you were. Happy birthday. I'm on the show. That's all. We love Elvis. We have that. Next we have is called what do you mean by that? Okay, So sometimes when people speak, they use the wrong pronoun. That is a converence. Now, sometimes you put you put the voice of the person you're talking to and you say what you think they were thinking, Like, I know you're looking at me like I'm crazy, right right? Or you're probably thinking that doesn't work right. Listen to what this guy said, Whole Foods and I felt shopping shamed? What do you mean by that? Everyone in there looks so good? What you meant to say was what do I mean by that? I landed it Whole Foods and I felt shopping shamed? What do you mean by that? Like, what do you mean by that? Scary? I was talking in the third person. I was I was putting myself. I was having an out of body experience, and I'm speaking as what do you mean what do you mean by that? That is a scamboni right there. That's not a scamboni. That's what I was that whole foods and I felt shopping shamed. What do you mean by that? What do you mean by that? It's almost like I'm talking to my talking first to everybody, and then I'm pretending like there's another person next to me, and I'm what do you mean by that? Oh, I'll tell you. You would have said what do I mean by that? I'll tell you either way, No, not either way that that's wrong. Nipick what you know what tweet ski are let him know if that's right, doesn't matter. Play it one more time. Oh please, let's move on. Move on. Next to the Great State of Maine and the Great State. Okay, here's the thing, So play the first one. Great State. So that's Brian Williams Great State of Okay. So people on the news right on television MSNBC, you're watching hold on? Yeah, I was, Yes, I was so. Ryan Williams says, we just had Angus King on from the Great State of Maine. Okay, great state. He's the Senator of Maine, one of the senators great state of Maine. So is Collins is the other Senator of Maine. Anyway, play the next clip, Claarma Caskell from a United States Senator from the Great state of Missouri. Okay, every time is that Rachel made Rachel? Oh my god, you're still watching MSNBC. You don't watch anything I like, Rachel, continue, I don't really, don't tweet me, yes, really, all right, anyway, listen to me. The point was, I happened to grab those clips. And by the way, this so I also grab clips off the car radio. I may have been in the call listening from a United States Senator from the Great state of Missouri. Okay, let me explain. When anyone introduces any congressman or senator, they always say from the great state of Yeah, yeah, that's There are fifty states in this country. They're all great. No they're not. No, they're not. I dare you to tell let's do that right now. Here's David the list of the states that are not great. I'll get I'll get to that in a minute. Hold on, I get to hold on. My point is if they're all great, then they're not great. Yes, they are. No, if they're all great, then they're all equal. In order to be great, you have to be better than all the states. You have to be. You can't all be. This is one of those nitpicky things that you know you're unitpicking because people say it. It's just almost like when they introduced almost line up and they say, you know, on Sunday night football and the colleges, they went to the Ohio State University V. But that's because it's one, it's singular, it's the but that's the stick. That's someone I'm talking about that. That's what this is. It's the great state. Everything is the Great state of not we're not okay because okay, we're from New York, the Great State of New York. You don't have to say it. It's so great. You don't need to say it. New York people ain't know it's great. God, you're from California. People go the Great State, the Great State, Texas, great state. I don't see a problem with that, Florida great. They are great states. There are states that maybe need to but they're great. No, there are states that need to say it because they feel bad. I feel like they feel bad Brody. I was just reading his mind. He he was going to tell you that West Virginia is not Noes actually not the Smokey Mountains. Are you kidding? It's a beautiful state. I was not gonna say West Virginia. So then why can't they all be great? What I'm saying is, I feel like if you need to say they're great, I think you're saying it because like maybe they don't think they're great. Well, you have to remind them that you're okay too, from the great state of you know whatever. They can't all be just say that he's from Maine. I gonna stand my point. They also describe state fairs. They also do this, the great Minnesota State Fair. Yeah, but not every state has. But there are some state fairs that aren't as great as others. Minnesota and Iowa, like that's their thing. I know, you nek state has I hear it's great. If you had to pick one state in the Union that's not great, which one is it? Are you gonna say one? Are you gonna say one? If you say one? I think this, I think there might be something aren't great? All right, Hold, let me think this through. I think they might be good. I think there's some states. I guarantee everyone listening to his podcast has a state. I want you to tweet us. I want you to tweet his hashtag great state and tell us which state you don't think it's great, because they're not all great. They can't one that are you willing to admit when I'm thinking of one one? You got one in your head? You got one that's not great. That doesn't mean that your town isn't great. Yeah, I'm gonna piss someone off if I say, because we we have listeners in all fifty states, we do, and and some states are like, that's a good state, but it's not the great state. It's a good state. What do you got like if you if you heard you're watching the news any channel. There's a whole lot of land, but I shooting Cheyenne. Yeah, what's in Cheyenne? I don't know a lot of mountains. Someone's gonna go great skiing there. Does that make it a great state? So maybe that might be the one. What's your great state? That's not what's not so great? I don't think we need to dakotas. I'm going out on a limb. You think the I would just make it one Dakota. I don't think we need to Dakotas. I don't think both of them are so special on their own. They need to be their own Dakota. That's what I'm going with. I think they're fine. We have two Carolinas. You know what one's got their mount Mount Rushmore. You think North Dakota, South Dakota. Yeah, because anything is so sparse. What do you got is that? I mean, let's be on. You gotta pick one then, I don't. I don't think either one is great on their own. I think together they got enough. Like Montana. Yeah, I think you were on the same way Montana. Is that a great state? We're we're on in Montana. I'm not offending you, Montana. I don't mean to offend. I understand the wide open. David Lettiman has a ranch in Montana. I hear it's one of the most beautiful state, scenic, blue sky, right, amazing. But what I call it a great state? I don't know. Does it have a major city? Yeah? It um, I forgot which one we're on a Butte, right, Dubuque. But we're on one of the Montana states. Cities. I'm sorry, now you got me looking about mine? Why am I looking at Montana? It's a frozen, hostile wasteland. Not a lot of it is really. Now you're just dumping on poor Montana, you know, if you really want to know, I mean, what's up to? And then you know what it's above? Billings were on in Billings, Missoula, great falls. We've been on a Bozeman for a while. And by the way, I'm looking at pictures of Bozeman, Montana's fourth largest city. That is a pretty city. I will give you that, and beauty beau teacher. What's it surrounded by Wyoming and Idaho? Yeah, I mean, if you're in Montana, is your selling point conveniently located to the Idaho easy commute to Idaho. So you're saying that, so Boise and places like that, you're saying that we are like that. So these are places that are not great. No, that did to make the state not so great. What I'm saying is, and I'm still trying to understand why we why we can't have the great state? Can't we call it that? I'm saying, you can call it that. But if you're making them all equal, are you telling me. Now you you listen to the podcast slices? Are you telling me that pick your favorite state? Right? Let's say your favorite state. Let's say your favorite state is Texas. People Nebraska, great football, corn fields, Okay, great great states. Okay, let's say you're in Nebraska. You love Nebraska, you love Texas. You consider those the best states? Are you telling me the other forty eight states are equally as good as your favorite state. Whatever your favorite state is. Of course they can't all be great. We have a great country. I love this country. They're better than good. Great is better than good. Now, listen, I'll take any state over any other country. You know. I love you know how I am? That's I think. I drive American car Id of think that's where people are have gone with that phrase that every state is great. State is great to Canada, No offense to you Toronto. Okay, look, let's be honest. I happen to like this state. It's a pretty state. What are you gonna compare Rhode Island to California. Rhode Island is like forty eight people lived there. You can because they eat. California's got l A and San Francisco and it's huge San Diego. But they're both coastline. But when you use the word you used the word great. You're not trying to say that this one is better than the other one. You're just saying it's elevated from good. So it's relative to living outside of this country, it's compared to anywhere else. What's great tomorrow. That's where the phrase comes from. Then I would I don't think it's trying to say. Then I would like super great. I would like from the fantastic state. So New York would have to New York City would have to be or New York State New York. New York State is not just New York City. It's a huge state. Have you been to the Great New York Fair? Vacation? And I'm always always the last week of August. Can you guys fucking change that? We? I get so many complete emails. You guys go to Iowa every year for the Iowa State Fair, but you never come to the Great State of New York Fair. And I'm like, hey, guess what, it's always the end of August into Labor Day. You get me, sorry, but but I'm out of you. Give me a weekend in uh July I'm coming up. And by the way, size of the state doesn't matter. Vermont small state, great state, great state of Vermont, great state, good people, people, syrup, gotta love it, Ben and Jerry's ice cream factories there. And by the way, I've never been to a state I don't like, so I'll not shout out to the wobbly barn in the pitch doesn't like Wyoming's. Okay, I don't think it's great. Thank You's gonna be one if you thank you. We're talking the South. Okay, So my point I originally all fifty states were great. But you said, try to name one, or I said, let's name one that's less. Okay. You want to combine the Dakotas. How is that? How? How is is that any better? You don't want them to have their own identity? Okay? There are less people in both Wyoming's than New York City. From what I removed, it's close. Of course, they've got four senators. It's a lot. All I'm saying is it seems like it would be a much like if you combine a steak and French fries, it's a better meal than just steak and French fries. I'm mentally fatigued. I'm not even done yet. We got walking, I know, keep going. What else you got on the board. We're gonna have two debates. Okay, let me ask you a question. This clip is about the A C. D C album Back in Black, right, yeah, no one remembers it. It's okay, you shook me on that longs on the album explained. Okay, so you don't have to know when the album came out. Play the clip and you tell me when the anniversary of this album came out. This clip was yesterday, album turns forty next July. First of all? Next, your fake wrong? Right? Why are you saying next July? Isn't it just July? Album turns forty Next, July turns forty next? Right? Now? There's people are gonna go both the next July a couple of months. It's actually July ninete. Of course, I'm right. I know the album. I remember when it came out. The point is if the album came out in July, right, why was it? But that song was a hit in two the top two years. The album exploded in nineteen eighty it's stayed a hit. Okay, you listen to me, yeah, no, I'm not continue. Okay, it's February now, right, You're right, July, so that's month to July is month seven. So five months from now is July. Now. Granted it is the next July. We will live through. But when people say next July, they mean not this one, the next one, right, you thought because of what she said, right, So we agree on that. We agree on it. I just didn't think that it was forty years old. I thought it was thirty eight. I thought it was because Bond Scott died after the Highway to Hell album in seventy nine and then back in Black. I think this one coming up maybe my most This has got to be the most nitpicky clip that you've You've chosen this. Do you know which one is? I don't even one of the Allison and Noble and Penguin Random House plans to release the special editions of twelve classic novels, including Romeo and Juliette, Moby Dick and Alison and Wonderland. She just said it's one of the classic books of all times. And Noble and Penguin Random House plans to release the special editions of twelve classic novels including Romeo and Juliette, Moby Dick and Alison in Wonderland. Alison in Wonderland. How do you get that wrong? I think Alice, I think honestly, and let me let me just pull this back a second. I need to believe that even she knows that. But she's reading Q cause she remispronounced it on TV. She she must have. Alison doesn't even look like Alice. She probably if I make the other great novels like war and Pieces, who that Moby's Dick? Who was that? I don't know, well I would. I would like to think that she knew it was Alice. He's not a major one of the three major cable news networks. One of them Allison in Wonderland. She needed to know it was Alice? How everyone? How about only? How about? How about? Is there anyone who thought Allison Wonderland like Allison? I don't know. She didn't say Allison Wonderland, she said Allison in Wonderland. I think she had a brain farm. How come when I played the woman who said Westminster Abbey, you were like, oh, what a dumbass. You didn't give her up? Woman to benefit of the doubt, Alison and one Alice. Everybody, I just read a great book, Scratcher in the Rye. Come on, John Christum's the film. Give her a break, Give her a break, Give her a break. Yeah, she's she's doing a job. She she's probably reading a million miles an hour. It probably was the gray either got tongue tied. Well, I'm going to give her the benefit of down on this. I need to think that she knew it was Alice and said the wrong thing. What's going on behind us? How about? How about this book Elvis Durando? Where do I begin? Oh? I thought it was Durando. Give it a benefit of doubt. All right, you let me see you let you lend people off the hook. You know, you let you let inferior things slip by. And that's what's wrong with this country. You let Alison in Wonderland Alice, I'm late and doesn't make or break my day. I'm not gonna have a conniption over it. Your problem is you don't have it. I'm good. I let things slide. Man. Let me ask you a question. If I send you an email, right, you're gonna email me back, right of course? If if if you speak to someone in Spanish. They reply to you in Spanish. How come if I text someone and I say, hey, what time do you want to blah blah blah blah, why are they calling me back? Oh? I do it all the time. Yes, you, that's why do you do that? Why do I do it? Yeah? I don't call you. Don't call me back in Greek when I speak English because you because I don't want to type. I talk with my mouth, not my thumb. I talk with my mouth. I talk text. I don't need I want to I don't want to talk to you. If I want to talk to you, I call you. I want of a real time dialogue. I I text you at ten o'clock. When I don't want to talk on the phone, you call me back. Hey, man, what's going on? And I just texted you? What was going on? You and my friend Jeff did all the time. He's like, I'm in the car, I want to text you. I don't want to take it home. I don't want to talk to you right now. I want to text you and I want to talk. I pass follow the rules. There's no rule. There's no rule that says that I have to combat a text with a text. I don't have to respond to a text with a text, I could make a phone call. By the way, do you know phone calls? Do you know what John Barrasso is or Mike Enzi. None of these people they are the senators from the great state of Wyoming. It's like, you know, I have no idea who they were there, you go, I would list the four people that are senators in the two Dakota and by the way, beautiful states. Great States's not as great as the state of New York. Now just remember tweet us hashtag great state. Which states not great? I'll tell you what it is. A great city though from where we're from. Brooklyn Boys, Brooklyn, Brookland Boys, Brooklyn
