Speaker 1: Elvis Durrand Presents Off Air Show is Scary Jones Greg Episode one, It's the off their show. I'm Scary Jones. I have a share here, share nos Hey the building. All right, it's good to be here. It's great to have you here. Vacation summer, everybody's all over the place. Yeah, I've been all over the place. I haven't gotten back from vacation. Actually my brain is still on vacation on vaca mode. Still. Oh yeah, I think Brody's going to join us in a second good run, in full work mode. So I'm on target here, I'm on track here. You know, part of the part of the thing about doing what you do is you're always seven, So you're you're you're your NonStop you. You're never on vacation. When it was the last time you took an actual vacation from life. Well, you know, it's funny you said that, because that's like the funny thing about the industry. It's like people think that so much of it is just the glitz and the glass or but it's really a twenty four hour grind and you get it. You know me, you know what I do and and it is NonStop. But I think the last time I took like a real vacation was probably when I jet set it off to Mexico for a few days. That was my little wandering moment, kind of went there and just went to loom I need some to loomining. Part of the problem with me going to the Jersey Shore for my break was I wasn't out of the country and I was still accessible. So I had some salespeople that were calling me on on Wednesday afternoon when I'm clearly on vacation. Yeah, and my out of office replies on and they're like they had already tried to email me, and they're like, hey, scary, um, we need you to record this commercial. So I'm like what, So I had I this is this is what I do for this radio station. Like I went to Guitar Center and I went to go buy one of those high faluten microphones, plugged it into my iPhone, and I record and I recorded a commercial for the radio station. But the acoustics are bad in a hotel room, so I had to throw a blanket over myself, put myself, lock myself in the closet of a hotel room, and then talk. So the soundproofing the sound doesn't bounce all over the place, and it absorbs into the material around my head. And I recorded insane and I recorded a commercial, right, it's insane. And you want to know something funny, even saying that Mexico was my getaway, You remember how I was giving like the share nose all around the world and I gave that advice about cell phones and how you don't have to pay just that. Do you know why I did that? Because even though I was and I do think that was more of a vacation, you do realize I was in full communication with my team and I actually bought a tripod for that trip. And that tripod was not so that I could take pictures of Mexico always so that I could do the video that I needed for things for my team back and send them via email. And they were on a tripod in a steady camp. So you know what, You're right, scary. I don't think our jobs totally end. Ever, they never end. And yeah, and that was my dedication to this job. When when I started here, I'm like, I'm never gonna get any sleep ever again. So you can check that off the list. And I'm never going to get a real vacation unless there's no internet. But you know, at the beginning, when I first started working here years ago, you know, the WiFi was really unavailable in a lot of places. So once you go a long time, I mean, things have changed. If when I went out of the country, if I even I went to the Bahamas, that's it. I'm done. No email, no phone, And so it sounds so good, But now that people know, because the problem is, I'm a real dick if I don't respond, because they're they're requesting that I do these things. They're calling me, they're texting me, they're leaving me information and email, and the fact that there's one right now there's and they're sending me notes. And the fact that I don't respond. They know even though I'm on occasion like he's purposely not responding. So I know, I don't have an obligation, but I feel like I have an obligation too, So I'm always working right, And you know, it's funny is you should actually feel a little less pressed because technically this is this is more of a job type situation. When you're on vacation, it's supposed to be in a way, you're right for somebody like me. I'm my own hours, so it really is a little different. But I do think that that's crazy how much we have to go out of our way. I don't know if people really realize how crazy the enenter tam and could be. It's interesting. Um, I'm actually I was working on vacation at an appearance. It did an appearance and I'm I'm sorry I didn't tell the afair kits about this, but I'm gonna be doing bar A live broadcasts. Bar A is a is a Jersey shore staple in Belmart. So I did my first one during the fourth July holiday. But to me, is that really work? I mean, it's kind of like the fun part of work. It's like going to an appearance on a red carpet, Like do I is it work? People don't consider that debatable, but it's technically work. But the next one is actually Friday night. So Friday night, for the next four or five Friday nights, I'm going to be at bar Anticipation that is in Belmar, New Jersey, with Z one hundred, the radio station here in New York, and I'll be doing live broadcasts from ten to midnight. And that'll be outside in the Sand uh at Grotto Beach their version of Grotto Beach by the way. Well, you know what, I think they have a lot of fans that are in Jersey. I think that's really awesome, a lot of Philly people. So if you want to come to our cabana, I'm We're going to be broadcasting live from a cabana outside in the sand Friday night. I'll be there from Friday Friday ten at midnight, and the next few Fridays I'll be there. Well, you know, when I get back from my little pop up visit in l A, perhaps I will pop by and I'll be able to say hi to some people with you. That would be found. That would be fun. I'm cool with that. It would be fun. Yeah. No, it's a great spot. It's a cool spot. I can't believe you consider that great Tea is not here today. And it's because he went to go to have his tooth pulled. We talked to him on the Morning show before and after and um, we had some sound played. This was he This is just the truth. I mean, he had a wisdom tooth pulled. We played a little bit this on the Morning show and then we never got to this other clip, so I'm just gonna steal it because I eat leftovers. He looked right at me and said, I leftovers. So whatever you guys discussed before, you may have to catch me up. I was recording up. We're just I was plugging my gig gig. We're just talking about never ends, working on vacation. Everything would mean as a topic. So you just mentioned leftovers. If I could bitch for just a second ahead, okay, okay, held on a second. I was raised I gotta get the proper. I was raised in a middle lower end, middle class family. My father was a police officer. We didn't have a lot of money. Do we call those blue collar? Blue collar? Well, he actually wore a blue uniform. He was a police officer. So him, by the way, yes, thirty two years as. Okay, So we didn't have a lot of money. So I would get had me down clothing from my nieces and my cousins, right, and my mom's nieces and nephews whatever my cousin's right, I would. I can hit bicycles, and I was raised to save things, conserve, and if I didn't finish what I ate, I had wrapped it up. In tin foiler and tup of wear, and we had it as leftovers the next day. And I would come on from school and I loved leftovers. Loved him like you got used to this. I would come home and I'm like, oh my god, I have four different types of food. I said, little Chinese food, little Tian food. It was like like a buffet. I see tinfoil, My eyes light up. No, kiddy, and I know, I know it's aluminum foil. Don't please, don't don't tweet me. And I called tinfoil as well. Why it's made of aluminum. But it was tinfoil like a hundred years ago. O k. My Emily still calls it tinfoil, by the way, right, sometimes you call it clean X when it's actually Scott tissues. Leave me alone. You know. Sometimes you can make a copy and you say I made a xerox of it, but you're using Okay, we get it to the world. Happened We used aluminum now, okay, So I drink coca cola, but it used to have cocaine in. Right. I make a little more money than my dad did, and I take my kids out to dinner a little more often than night. We went out to dinner, and so my kids will order, like, you know, off the kid's menu, but now the lolder they order off the adult menu something, and sometimes it's more food than they can eat. So they'll be like a half a Hamburger and I'll get a you know, a box. I need three to go containers. No, I'm not taking this home, dad, Oh, yes you are. Well, I'm not gonna eat it. I knew you were going to go there, so I eat it. So I end up gaining weight because I eat everybody's left over. So I have to gain weight because my kids don't know what it's like to grow up in a blue collar family in a little because you're spoiling that. Now it's all their fault. I should I eat old food? I got a fresh food today. Why should I eat yesterday's buffalo while Daddy, I don't want to wrap up that food. I don't want to take Yes, that's the only even six dollars on the plate. It's funny you brought this up. I was just talking about this with a friend of mine. Apparently she claims she gained fifty pounds for from eating leftovers from her kids eating It's called there has a name for it. But like you're eating eating after your kid. So if you have kids, especially when they're younger, like like toddlers, and even in those early stages as a parent, you eat a lot of mac and cheese and chicken fingers, right because they leave three on the plane, like I'll go wrap it and you eat one before. And we come from a time and a family, and at least I do where you do not waste food. You do not throw it away, so it has to get wrapped up or you eat it. And that's what happens a lot at restaurants. And you know, my daughter, I opened up the garbage to throw something out and there was half a slice of meatball pizza. You can't, I can't, one of my kid I said, oh, fall on the floor. Is it into garbage? I was done, right, you know, until I am dead, you don't throw out that damn straight. If done, you wrap it an aluminum foil. You drive him with my eating or he's like, well you know she's I don't. I okay. So that was a problem. Then my my oldest daughter is a vegetarian, almost a vegan. Right, how did that happen? Not? Not all of vegans. But my daughter is I love her, but the horror eating thing. I want meat. And she's like, so we'll order a pizza, right, and you can't order a pizza with a slice with no cheese. So she'll take a slice and she'll pull the cheese. Oh god, i'm your daughter. That's what I was just gonna sit. So so bitch throws the cheese out. What are you doing? You give me the cheese, that's right, Offer my cheese to people, okay it? Or she'll like, I have have homework, I'm gonna eat upstairs. I go, you put that pizza down here and you take that cheese off here, or I'll take it off because if you go upstairs, it's going to the garbage. That's right, Like, oh, no one's around. You don't throw a slice of pizza cheese. You can. I can either put on bread and make a pizza bagel l tomorrow morning, or I can put it on my pizza. Have double cheese, right, double cheese pizza. I'll just buy you bread. You could dip it in, so say, yeah, I know that's crazy though, that's crazy anyway, all right, saying leftover bits left me started, well, the reason why the way, Kurt your enthusiasm is back next month. Yes, because it's my life. When you see Larry David, tell him that he ripped it off David Brodie, Wow, he dropped the cheese. That's what I'm saying anyway. But no, what I was saying was we went on it. Yeah he does. He had a Cheryl, he got divorced, had had Larry David. Yeah. So when I was getting into twenty minutes ago, when I walked in something, which is fine, but you know that that's what this podcast is. It's about diversions. I don't care. I don't give a ship. I don't need to have, like I must stay on topic, on message. I at diversions. I was driving my car, hold on, I got a better oneing you're ready for this. I was sitting here trying to figure out the but eventually we'll play the leftover. I was trying to figure out of little skin here about the whole eating and the kids eating the food, blah blah blah, and um, I want you to know this whole entire article I just pulled up on Google, the whole entire article thing. The entire article says, you're ready nutritions and nutritionists have slammed people for the old school practice of having their child clean their plate or take anything, for the simple fact that it causes um eating disorders. So this whole thing, I would love to read the rest of it because I can't understand. Here's here's what I'll saying in I don't tell my kids to clean their plate. You don't. I don't tell them they have to eat the leftovers. I tell them I would prefer they did because it saves me the next meal the next day, but that I'll eat it. But exactly so, you just don't. That's like me giving somebody my cheese. It's the problem is with my daughter who's a vegan, because he doesn't clean her plate. Only my wife will eat that stuff like she'll have like steam vegetables. I'm not going near that. He doesn't need anything green but that meat ball here. Yeah, my daughter could explore that for a second though, As I divert from the diversion. Why Brodie Brodie has his thing, I don't know if he does not eat and the listeners don't know this, Yeah, he doesn't eat. He doesn't eat anything green colored. So if if something has part lettuce. But if he has something parsley on something cilantro, don't garnish my food, but it has no taste. I don't need my en palm to look like the Italian flag. Someone's chicken parm it has a nice little white cheese on it, and all of a sudden the green sprinkles. Then don't, don't, don't sprinkle it. Whatever I nachos, right, I'll look at the menu and I'll say, okay, I don't want the olives. I don't. I don't want the sour cream with a guawk on top of it. I just want meat, cheese and beans and tomato. That's what I eat. And they'll go, okay, and they'll bring it. They'll sprinkle cilantro on top. Is a garnish that's not on the menu. You're a grass for that. You're a grown as man. I am a grown man did to make his own decisions. And you do know, you're a very smart man at that. You do know that these green items don't have any taste to them. They just color. I don't want. First of all, cilantro has a taste with cilantro yes, but parsley, no, Okay, I don't want, Like I'm eating feathers. I don't really hate it. So no broccoli, no Brussels sprouts, beef, beef fief and broccoli. No broccoli please. This is why he's a happy man. He knows what he wants. When I a Chinese food, it's one word rose poklom INDI vegetables. If I ever get it with vegetables and they tell me you didn't say it, I go, you're lying out. Oh my god, Brodie. We would be perfect then, because if you ordered all that I need, all your greens, I'd be happier. And so when we order a gourmet pizza at home, like we get like a Grandma pie or whatever, and as basil on top, my wife knows she's getting the basil basil, if you know what I mean. But yeah, you know, like pesto. Pesto is one of the greatest things. Pesto is mostly pine nuts and what part blend basil? Right? Basil? Right? But but grind it up and blended into a sauce. Pesto's fine. I just don't want leaves on my food. Okay, okay, we like something. If you're eating food, let's say you're having a picnic. You're out on your back deck right and you're having like, um lettuce, No, you haven't face sandwich, slice pizza and a leaf falls on the tree lands on your pizza. You canna eat it? So why would I want basil? I'm gonna keep saying more of that. We'll get higher ratings. Nice lick it, Cheryl. Hashtag lick lick the leaf, click lick it, lick it hashtag that's what Adam said to eat. So Greg t he left early today and the reason why he's not on the podcast is because, you guys, was wisdom tooth pulled out his sister. Here's a couple of pieces of information, a couple of pieces of audio from that she recorded with her iPhone after he came out of it. Doesn't have an Android because of the sound quality. Hi, how are you doing? How are you doing? I'm seeing to you. Health happened. It's like twenty minutes so you weren't here. You walked over here talking. Yeah, we're talking about playing golf and drinking whiskey. Now we took you too and we got you to recovery. He fell asleep for a little bit. No way, I agree with every day. Mine's the facial right here. Yeah, he's got Gauds in his mouth. So that was that. And then and then later on he was talking about I don't know what he was talking about. He was talking about some artists and like seventies, like rock band or something. He's just he's listening to Van Morrison when he got knocked out, and when he woke up, he thought he had just listened to Van Morrison. He didn't realize the time lapse. So oh, so he was listening to Van Morrison on and but twenty minutes had gone by. And then he woke up and then this and he's like, oh, I love I really do like Morison do. And then is very good. I think he's underrated. People don't know you got good music. And then like I woke up once I was in the waiting room Friday, he said, Friday night. Right now, he's looking for cigars. Could you believe him into it? He is, He's great, he's good Van Marsha because he knows him personally. Yeah, he's underrated. Cream you just know, Sprinkles I'm sorry, okay, good man. Can we have him under under that whatever gas he was taking? Like more often? That would be I'd like that version of Greg T very sadate. Wow. All right, well so that's that's what Greg T is doing today. Okay. And on that note, I might bring up one thing. Yeah, just so you know, Um, we did get a couple of different things and for the share knows, but we decided I think we're going to try to take a caller. R's scary. Okay, Well we've been through some transformations, as you know. It's like we have plastic surgery here every day. It's like facelifts everyday. As long as it's necessary, that's what we want. Right. So so tell us what's on your mind? Why did you get in touch with us today? What did you want to talk about on the Fair Show? Well, I don't want to get too into it, but um, my friends and I we've been friends for years and years. I've met this guy run the same time that I met them, and um, I have not spoken to him been h oh, it's been five years probably, Oh, so it's been a while. So you haven't spoken to this guy in five years intentionally intentionally, right? And you've lived around him. Uh. He moved out of state to Dallas probably three years ago. Maybe. Okay, do the girls know the issue you had with him? Because that's a big deal. Is that like a yes or okay? So they know? So all right right off the bat, and I want the guys to chime in with this. But right off the bat, I say to myself, the girls should have respect for your friendship and for you and not put you in any uncomfortable situation. So it sounds like you've talked to them about this. It sounds like they know that you're not going to be comfortable because I think one of the things you wrote in on the Shore Knows was also that if he comes to the apartment, you didn't know how to act, and that's what your question was, like, how do you act politically correct and not cause extra drama to yourself? But at the same time, you know you told the girls probably you're not going to stay in the apartment, You're gonna leave, You're not going to talk to him. Right there, I want to stop you, and hopefully the guys agree you should never leave your apartment. Absolutely. Wait a second, hold, So, so you're in this apartment and now all of a sudden you feel like you need to exit because of now she's going to feel uncomfortable. Yeah, but that's necessarily just my apartment though, Like in social situations like we're probably there's going to be situations like right now, we're in Dallas and we don't have a place to stay, and he's like, uh, oh, I shouldn't say this, but but oh well, let's just say it. Let me guess he has money in a big apartment. Well, he has money, and he's lying. He's lying for them, that he's employing them so we can get a place to live because we can't get a place. So he's your reference. Okay. So on top of this, now he's doing everybody. Okay, so in a sense, you want to hear what comes to my head a little manipulation. Personally, I happen to think that sounds a little a little manipulating because he knows it. And again we don't know obviously, guys, Brodie scary. We don't know exactly what happened. So it's a little bit hard to pinpoint this because obviously, if it's something very dramatic, there is nothing that I would say to anything to these friends except for it's wrong. But with without knowing, let's just let's just take take it on the cough. Okay, they have to have respect for you, but I need you to do one thing, m J. I need you to stay classy and confident and stay powerful in your situation because this is something where I think, I don't care what this guy is doing for you, your friends or you. You gotta sitt your didn't you introduced this guy into the group? Like wasn't it weren't you the person originally five years ago? I mean people, Well, that's the question. Um, we're all like, we're all run in the same crowd, and so he was in a fraternity that we all hung out with. Is anybody dating him out of this crew? Or is this all platonic? Okay, so this is there's no love. You're the only one that's been with him in this entire crew. Um, so this is a that's it's not like that, okay, Okay, I thought we're digging deep over here, not even like that. So okay, so it's more dramatic than that. But I gotta add, what's up with these friends? Like obviously, if there was an issue at hand, there are other ways. Okay, let's just put this out there. There are other ways to get references right on on for things. There's other ways to reach out to other people. You don't have to go to this source, and there are other people in the world that we could probably figure out Dallas. So in Dallas, though we don't know many people, we know him or more so, they know him. Um, we're Originally our plan was to not go through mid all and just pretend that we were at our old job because we've all quit now. So yeah, but it just sounds like it sounds like there's there's a lot of issues, and I want to get away from just the issue with the guy because I can't target that one as carefully. But I kind of want to focus on the ends. And I'll share a little something with you when I recently had a situation with a very dear friend of mine and he was good friends with a guy that I felt disrespected me and I recently, I recently was in a situation where I might have run into him again, and this friend of mine was at least loyal enough to say to me, Look, I'm not going to leave you out of what we're doing, but I want you to know I do agree with you, and I do think that this was a level of disrespect. That you are standing up for yourself. You're somebody of that cloud where you know when you're treated wrong or right, And it's not that it's drama to me, it's just I will stand my ground and say, you know what, there's an apology needed and something has to take effect. But really, because I was introduced to this person through my friend, I did feel it was up to them to stand up for me, and you know what he did. By the way, do you feel like there's a level of just growing up that needs to be done? Like I feel like that, like everyone's being childish year. I feel like it's like a high school cafeteria. It's a lot close or to what share her situation with the feeling of being disrespected, but on an entirely um exponential level. So yeah, I have a question. You've established how you feel about him, all right, how does he feel about you? Um? I don't know, Okay. The reason I ask is if he's pissed at you, then he will also I don't think he is okay, because if he was, he'd avoid you. You'd avoid him and be fine. But if you think that we have an understanding that we will not like like we avoid each other. I think that we have a mutual understand Okay, But does he would he if you said I forgive you, would he take you back? Like? Would he didn't go in there? It's not it's not him forgiving me. It's the opposite. You're forgiving him, all right, my my, My point is if he could work his way back in, if he felt if I apologize, if I buy a fly, if I do this favor where I'm the reference, I find him a place to I'm doing, he may have a motive or manipulation. Does he want you back? Because that's going to make this more awkward. I mean, like basically it's going to be very awkward because he's going to be around. So yeah, but but it's awkward for you because you don't want him back, and you broke up and whatever happened happened, and he's obviously doing things to be nice to you. Right, But I remember girlfriends I've broken up with. I did stuff like this to get them back. Of course you no, no, not revenge. Is this guy doing these nice things because he likes your buddies? Like, well, because friends? But okay, but let's say they weren't coming. Let's say you were going to Dallas by yourself. Would he be a job reference for you? Would he give you a place to live? Would he do these things? Um? I mean I don't have any way to contact him, so so you. But something seems like it's hard for us to understand exactly what the situation was. And again it's totally you know, it's up to you what you want to talk about, but it's hard for us because we are trying to and in my case, I try to always look at a broader picture. But this is too broad because I'm not understanding the relationships. So you know there's something, there's something missing him say, because I want to give you really solid advice, and I could give you the advice a stand on your ground. You're not leaving your apartment. You need to be you need to be upfront with your friends. But you've so far seemed like you've done that, You've cut off the communication. Brodie brings up a good point. Is it the guy that's being manipulative? Is he trying to just get back with you? But none of that seems to be the key, because there's something we're missing. Yeah, is there something you're not telling us? What aren't telling U? Is that m J? How you carrying? Did you carry his child. I don't know. God no, If so, yeah, what is it spilling? If you guys want to go off the air, like off the office, it's called the off air show. I think I think she wants to tell us so we understand and can help her better, but not have the audience. No, well then wait a second, how does that benefit the audience? This isn't because we would be able to give her a slightly better advice. It's a fan, so I want to help her. No. If that's the case, then let's just make this a phone call all and we'll talk about this later. What we want, what we want to do is this here's I mean, the podcast is for everyone to learn and listen of what's going on and and and benefit from the advice that's given on the podcast, and especially want to if you want to help other people, you have to give us a little bit more. I think that I think that this will be enough. Uh. Like it's legal, Oh, it's legal? Is it legal? Monetary legal? Restraining order? Legal? Uh? Okay, So I hit on that because I could tell that this is something that you obviously, like you just stated, which I'm repeating a sensitive, sensitive subject. And I honestly, m J. I want to put out there that I have told all the fans that at any point in time they wanted to reach out, I am there for them, right in on the Facebook fan page under share Nose fan page. I don't mind talking to you, but when it comes to the show, I'd like to give a little broader advice. Everybody unfits from the segments. So one thing I do want to say, just if we want to concentrate on as an angle of this, Okay, as far as the friends go, I think that you have to realize something if you made if you if you've just kind of alluded to the fact that this might be something of a legality. Okay, this is a serious situation that you had with this guy. Okay, but here's my problem. Then I go by the I go by the strict comment of birds of a feather flock together. And I say this even for the situation I was in, and to an extent, even my buddy who got involved with my situation, I have turned to him and I am dead bold about this, and I've said, listen, when push comes to shove eventually, if you don't see the qualities that I saw in this person. You're an adult. You make your own decisions. I'm not here to influence you, but I'm here to stand on my own ground, and I'm going to tell you that whatever happened to me, I guarantee you, at some point we'll turn on you. And I share that with you about friends because I think that I've gotten to learn the word acquaintance very carefully verse friends, and I think it's a very powerful, uh standard to go by. Birds of a feather do flock together. If your friends are still willing to use this individual for a reference or anything, I happen to think that you have to take a bigger, broader look and maybe the situation you're going into living with these people in another state and actually considering these people you're good friends. Yeah, I really feel that way. Yeah, no, right, I agree with you. I Um, I don't. I don't have any further advice for you. I've never been in this situation that you're in, and you know, I mean but I mean this, this sounds like logical. I think you know in your heart what the right thing is. Yeah, and you're gonna I am just afraid you're gonna be putting yourself honestly in a worse situation by com mingling with anybody that's fraternizing with this person. At this point, I'm not seeing something good by this Brodie. What do you think? So here's my question, m J. This thing that that happened between you and this guy. And sorry for prying, by the way, if a little too much, I understand. Okay, So I have two questions. If this happened to one of your friends, let's call her Jane. If this happened to Jane, would she have stayed with the guy? Uh? Okay? And and and the third friend? Same thing. If this happened to Mary, she would not have stayed with this guy. Right, good point. There's a terrible thing. And they would have left their boyfriends as well if this happened to them. Right. So, this isn't like, oh, he got drunk at a party, mean out with a girl and cheated on you. This is something they totally understand why you broke up with him. They would totally not be around their ex boyfriends if their ex boyfriends did this to them. Correct, Okay, then how in God's name can they expect you to be around this guy? If this is so serious that they wouldn't be around there if they would break up with their guys over it. If they say, oh, no, my man did this to me, I would like and then that means this guy is a creep. And adding to that, Brodie, what would your friends expect of you if this was a reverse situation, how would they feel give you? My point is, if I can't excuse my boyfriend, if they can. If Mary can't excuse him boyfriend, then she clearly can't excuse your boyfriend. She can't say, well, you know he was he was he was tired from work, or he was drinking whatever. They wouldn't have tolerated it. So the suderstand why you broke up with him. They shouldn't put you in a state with him. Never mind a rule like never mind a situation of manipulation. If this guy did something so bad that they would absolutely dump him, then I wouldn't use him as a reference, and I would I would hope I could get a job without a reference rather than a guy who did whatever this is, or an apartment without it. What did it they see in this guy? Uh, Well, he's just like a really close friend of the whole group that we hang out with or he was Yeah, but he did something. So that's where I was going with that. So awful. So what does he like? Tells jokes, Well, he does magic tricks like whatever. He is, he's got a deep pocket. That's what I think. A situation didn't happen like he would. Honestly, he's a pretty cool dude. He always knows what the party is, like, you know what, Bill Cosby is very funny Bill Bill Cosby does good TV show like you know way everybody honestly, Yeah, and everybody that's has a this dark side that we all seem. Like the news, there's always somebody that says, oh, but I guess what they did her goal, herd of goal, you just had that slip up. I don't agree with any of this. I'm concerned for you. I really feel that in this situation, you really need to take a look at this entire group of friends that you're dealing with. Maybe it's time to kind of step up to the plate and realize that you need to move on. I don't want to go out on a limb here, but I'm going to start to say that I think I'm guessing some of these people are toxic people. In your life. You need to assess them one by one to see where the loyalty lies and their definition of what what they think is. Uh, you know what's right and what's wrong and what's appropriate right exactly and where they tolerated in their own life. So I think we and the listeners have a good understanding of the dilemma. Yeah, but I'm jay, what exactly is your one question? Is your one question? Should I go and put up with him? Is your one question? Should I be mad at my friends? Is? Or is your one question? Should I get rid of my friends? Like? What's the bottom line for me? I I want to know what you want to know most because you have an option. You cannot involve this guy and force their hand, or you can get rid of them. Yeah. But before she even says this, the one thing that I have to tell you is that when you wrote that question, I did notice none of that was really in there, which you really were asking me, as Sharon knows, how do you act politically correct in this situation? And that's kind of off of what we're even targeting. You guys have really hit on some really good points, and I really appreciate that because I didn't have like it really solid question because I mean, honestly, it's just it's kind of like I don't really know, which is why I wrote in I'm glad you did and and it's almost like, you know, at this point, where do you draw the line? What's a friend? How do you protect yourself? And how do you make a better future for you out of this? Because I'm not sure if I see that? And your original question was how do I be politically correct? You're hurting the brain. You've already been, You've already suffered, You've already been the victim here, right, So why it's like it's like, you know, I shouldn't have won that skirt that that's why, right? Well, how should I dress next time? No? Now they should be asking that. They should be calling into our show and they should be asking who do we dump? What's the right thing to do? Right? Why are my friends actings? Do you think they're really? You shouldn't have to make a decision. They know your feelings. They should have to make the decision. The burden should be on them. And that's why this whole thing started with have class, have confidence, and show your power by standing up for yourself like this, how do I make my friends realize how I feel? Maybe is your question. You guys really had on a good point there whenever you said put them in my situation to that right, because I mean, I don't feel like that they have. I've done that for me, And and maybe they don't realize it. They know that it's uncomfortable for me, but they understand how to how to deal with it. Then you need to have one on one conversations with each one of these people, and and and and literally hold their feet to the fire on it, and and and help start start saying, hey, what would you do in my situation if it was you? Ye, Like, why why would you do this? You know? M J. I am so glad that we got at least to something here because this did start out where you were the victim and you were asking about the guy. Guy Guy, guy guy. And that was the one thing that I felt the second I read this was this wasn't really about the guy. It's really about your crew, well about yours. And then in the beginning, I gotta be honest, in the beginning of this, I wasn't understanding the situation at all. And because there was something that wasn't being said, and now that this totally totally turns the entire conversation on its head. And and it wasn't even for the question, as Brodie pointed out that you originally wrote in for entirely different And you know what, I'm totally fine with it because this is what we do. We go off on tangents. We just this is like a discovery session now. And honestly, that was the best part was I loved the bit of mystery. And that's why I was so glad you're gonna get on the phone, because that I've done this without you on the phone, I could only project what I thought I read there, and what I read was everything about you and how you should figure out a situation with leaving an apartment and dealing with the guy. And I'm going, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. That's not that share knows, that's not the way you do this. You need to stand up for you. That's not happening. Well, I've already told him, like I told them. My friend said, I don't want to be like I really don't want him in my apartment. I don't want I don't want to be in his right. And if they can't understand that they're bad friends, they're everyone, they're awful crumby friends. Parison m J. This was something that we we could certainly handle. It's a relationship, it's a friend thing. It's you know, but sometimes it's so happy. But I'm actually happy. My point was not happy that we did this because because we have voided some of these Wheelhouse this was perfect, right, And and that's what I thank you for saying that, because I do want everybody to know, you know, the shore knows is as my personality. Apparently I don't eat avocados the green, but go on, there's certain Listen, there's certain superfoods that everyone talks about buzz words, buzz foods in the industry, and people talk about that, they say are great for you, and then oh my god, you gotta have more blind protein, antioxidants things like that, Like people talk about dark chocolate and blueberries and avocados. Right right, all that, Well, guess what this article in the Daily News, the New York Post, the New York it's the New York Post. You're right, yeah, they they they talk about the fact that all these studies are being done by the people themselves that are in that industry, like, for instance, the avocados study done by Hassa Avocado Board, and the hass Avocado Board, there's a board called the people that say blueberries are great for you. It's by the These are funded by the Blueberry Council. So now you're realizing that this is all just a marketing ploy. This is nothing scientific. So half the stuff you how do you know what's right and what's wrong? How do you know what you're reading is real? Because how do you know that what you're reading in the Post today is real and that these studies are not fake? Well, because they say that that the people that tell you avocados are great for you and you should eat all avocados, the Hassa Vocado people paid for that servant. You asked the question, how do you know if a survey's real? Because what if Hassa Avocado paid for it. Right, What what if the banana industry paid the Post to write this article? People will eat? Okay, I'll tell you what nest Lee paid for this. Nest Lee is the one blowing the cover off of all who wants you to eat more chocolate instead of pomegranate. Which, by the way, did you hear about the new coco snorting thingy and all that stuff? And hold on coco snorting? Okay, here's the thing. Coco times. We talk about things on the Elvis stray In morning show that Scary and I are part of and he doesn't hear it. So you talked about on the show yesterday. Okay, where was I? You were right there, you heard cocoa yummy and you didn't hear anything else. We'll tell me what's going on with cocoa shot up ahead, so please fill in. But basically that that people are now snorting cocoa powder like what you make talk for cocoa Like, yeah, they're going cuckoo from whose set it up? There no cocaine, coco cocos considered because this caffeine in in in cocoa and the plain code not cocoa and a cup for your kids. Um, it gives you a slight buzz if you shove it up your nose. So they had all these doctors on explaining how the nose cavity is going to get clogged and if you're too young, you know, you can't even hold this. I mean, I can't even believe people were doing this. But you know, you've got to realize those hypes are crazy, because even the coffee thing, a few years ago, they were talking about how coffee is not good for you. Now they're saying how it fights cancer. I don't know what we can I think the coffee in Bustello paid for this, as I don't just eat ice cream and watch porn and stop with the drugs leaves? Can I lick it? How long before like tomato sauces shot into my veins. The bottom line of the article, though, says that yes, these foods that we all mentioned, dark chocolate and pomegranates and avocadoso blueberries are good, but it's all in mod duration, my duration. Okay, So please do not think that you should be eating a lot more of these. It's just avocado, that's what they're saying. They're saying, a balance, a healthy battlet on top part of this Nutrition's Breakfast. So we have some happy birthdays. But the point is Maria had some words of advice for him and confidence and say, look, stop getting down on yourself. The last few podcasts. You've been so kind of like, ah, you've been pouring kerosene on and trying to self destruct. Maria was saying that workplace stress and all the stress at all, you know, very nice note. It was a nice note. The problem was it was eleven pages and I tried to read all eleven pages in about twenty seconds, and it's every twelve minutes. So I didn't want to get personal about it directing to Greg t. But what I did want to say was Maria, your point was quite relevant. There's a lot of issues right now with people stress monetarily people in the workplace. This and that. There's a lot of articles out there, and what you were trying to say was you just recently came upon one where a CEO or QUPO said something about idea that it was help fall that their co worker wrote in and said, look, I'm very stressed, I need help. I think that was very brilliant. Use thank you for doing that, and yeah, it just to put it in Layman's terms, Brodie, I weird alt it. Oh, I got you totally weird al at you.
