Speaker 1: Start Up, dot Up, start Up, Brooklyn Boy, start Up, Brooklyn Boys, start up, up Up, They making noise, dot up, start up Up, dot.
00:00:15
Speaker 2: Up, Episode three eighty seven. It's the Brooklyn Boys Podcast. Hello everybody, I'm Scary Jones.
00:00:24
Speaker 3: Hello everybody as well. I'm David Brody.
00:00:26
Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't have a nice ring to it my name, that's not nice. No, no, just you know it just doesn't you know? Sicking You're like, yeah, I'm David Burden. So't we're gonna write intros for each other? Yeah, maybe not to talked on Slice time like let us jump. And you've heard him starve stage and screen. You may have seen him perform at comedy clubs around the northeast. All right, hilarious, gonna have fun. Mant GPT do that for you. No, I write it myself. I'm a writer. Why wouldn't I write myself my own thing? By the way, uh Ai, I gotta be honest with you, I'm you. And if all kinds of new things now, like well, not to create graphics or anything. I have some issues with my feet. I have plantar fasciitis and I'm flat footed and so different things. Nothing that normal people, average people don't have just a couple of things. And I never find sneakers that I find ultimately comfortable to wear all the time on clouds? So what on cloud not for my No, because that's why you're not AI. That's why you're not a pediatrist. They're not good for people with flat feet. They're not supportive enough of a high enough arch. But yes, they're lightweight. So so, so what did AI tell you to buy? I told, I told the Google AI the three things that are generally wrong with my feet, and and what what I you know, what I need help with? And they picked out the perfect shoe and the sneaker and explained why the way it's constructed is perfect for the three things that are wrong at my feet. Great, and I went and googled it and I looked at websites and I emailed my pediatrist, my foot doctor, and she said, absolutely, those would be great. That's an excellent And I bought them and they're the best sneakers ever owned. So AI led you in the right direction. AI led me in the right direction. Yes, do you think this is ever going to come a day where AI is gonna judge you where it's like, uh, Wow.
00:02:19
Speaker 3: You're complaining again about pain.
00:02:21
Speaker 2: How did you get exactly well, you're hitting me up for this for wow. Oh my god, you're broken down.
00:02:28
Speaker 3: Not broken down.
00:02:29
Speaker 2: I asked Ai what the best sneakers are I could wear for pickleball with my feet problems, and it recommended the perfect pair.
00:02:35
Speaker 3: And again it's been game changing. No pun intended for my feet on the pickleball court.
00:02:42
Speaker 2: Good. I'm trying to think how AI can improve my life. I'm looking around here.
00:02:48
Speaker 3: Maybe you know I way to get a cheap window for your apartment.
00:02:51
Speaker 2: Now, why would I want a cheap window? So it blows out? Again?
00:02:54
Speaker 3: By the way, it's still not fixed. The expensive one blew out.
00:02:57
Speaker 2: They're they're cutting cutting the glass right out. There's somehow. I don't know how long it takes to cut glass. I've been waiting where it's a square window. It's a square windows, right, it's not star shaped, it's not fancy, it's a square window. Yeah, you just get you just get suckered left and they gave me a quote and then they walked off the job. I'm waiting for them. I wonder if the people who sold you the apartment set tiny explosives in the glass to go off after a couple of months, and they're getting a kickback from the glass company. Something's up. Your glass just shattered. You should put a note in the elevator. Is anyone else's glass windows just broken? Broken?
00:03:35
Speaker 3: You just broken?
00:03:38
Speaker 2: You know, I'm going to chalk it up to a stress factor in the glass. Maybe there's a little hairline fracture and that storm just was right to be all end all. I mean, you know, keep in mind living in a building and the building shifts. Oh, speaking of tall buildings. Tall Darren, Tall dar your friend. He's here. He's the guy that he's the guy that returned the inflatable mattress to talk after he slept on it for a couple of nights. Yeah, it was the slices. Remember the slices, don't forget. Yeah, he's here right now. He's remember he's next door. He's actually tall. He's in my kitchen.
00:04:11
Speaker 3: I know.
00:04:12
Speaker 2: Yes, he's so tall that when we first signed on, before we went live, you know, recording the podcast, he had to bend down to be in the view of the camera.
00:04:18
Speaker 3: That's how friggin tall he is.
00:04:19
Speaker 2: He's six seven.
00:04:21
Speaker 3: I asked him, are we putting him on. Are we puttinghim on the podcast?
00:04:24
Speaker 2: We can if you want, because I asked him to please go over to Scaries Buster and punch light switch in the background there and turn it on and off and see if he felt it was worth three hundred dollars approximately, And he did, and he had a very interesting comment. And I'd love to put him on so it doesn't look like I'm making it up lying. I'd like to get Tall Darren on the podcast so he can say what he thought when he switched on the switch on and off. Okay, real quick, I did, Hey, Tall Darren, come here. I don't have my intercomments talled yet.
00:04:57
Speaker 3: No, yeah, you're yeah.
00:04:59
Speaker 2: Actually I'm kidding. I'm not getting it into com you know why because they fucking live alone. Okay, who am I gonna yell to there's no need for an intercom system? No want Lorena? Well, well he's not coming, so he must not have heard. Lorena will talk you into a designer intercom system, right she will. Okay, Tall down is now squatting so he can fit in the camera. Can he hear me? Yeah? You can. You can hear Brody a little bit? Right? Yeah? Okay, good, all right? So say, first of all, I just told Darren say hello to the slices, most of them not your fans, because they're angry at you for returning a used used bed to target.
00:05:35
Speaker 3: Oh and not taking the job with the porn company.
00:05:38
Speaker 2: And oh but toll. Darren's also the guy that that that had a job with the porn company that didn't take the job with the porn.
00:05:46
Speaker 3: Back in the day. Yeah, we talked about that.
00:05:48
Speaker 2: Talked about that. Okay, that was years ago anyway. All right, So so so I'm gonna put Darren on here. Darren Brody wanted wants to give you some instructions here. First of all, you gotta talk way into this Mike. You gotta put your lip on the mic. Sorry about my breath, all right, go for it. So okay, so I want you to go ahead now again, turn the switch, the light switch on and off by his closet. That's a closet, right, yeah, he put a buster and punch light switch, hundreds of dollars on a closet. Go ahead, right now. I'll be quiet so we can hear how it sounded. And then you'll come back and I'll ask you a question. Go ahead and turn the switch on and off. Let everyone hear what it sounds like, but just be careful with it. Careful. Yeah, it'll pick up because I heard it. Okay, Okay, Now, admittedly that's noisy as hell.
00:06:38
Speaker 4: Correct, Oh yeah, absolutely, I can hear it from the room, the other room.
00:06:44
Speaker 2: Now, when when you did that the first time, what did you say if someone was sleeping in that room, what would happen? I didn't here, Oh, if someone was sleeping in that room, what did you say?
00:06:53
Speaker 3: What happened? When you turn the light switch on and off.
00:06:55
Speaker 4: The you definitely wake them up. I mean you'd wake me up in the other bedroom, which is you know, twenty feet away right now.
00:07:04
Speaker 2: Did you feel the luxury and the opulence when you turned that switch to the closet on and off?
00:07:10
Speaker 3: Be a bustern thud?
00:07:11
Speaker 4: To be honest, I mean, how many light switches do you know that actually click like that?
00:07:15
Speaker 3: You pay all the shitty ones, The shitty ones make that noise.
00:07:19
Speaker 2: So Darren, I want here and crunch. Okay, you could call it what you want, Brodie, but I want Darren to be honest here and I want Darren, when when you were looking at my place and you were assessing it. You gave me some really great advice. Okay, I want you to be forthright. You can have a little monologue here, and I want you to tell Brodie and the slices, by the way, the slices are our listeners, what you told me and what advice you gave me as a homeowner yourself on how I could make this feel more homey and feel you know, I give you feel great about walking in here all the time and entertain entertaining people, namely my girlfriend. So so be honest with you.
00:08:01
Speaker 4: Yet, other than investing in light switches that click, no, I said. The basic thing I said is the one thing you can do is a lot of the cosmetic things like.
00:08:09
Speaker 5: Light switches, plugs.
00:08:11
Speaker 4: They're all the old kind of yellowing plastic, you know, all that stuff door handles. Instead of you know, redesigning your entire apartment, change the things out. That should cost a lot less. What I didn't know is that the light switch costs three hundred dollars. That's a different thing, right, But by way, that's just one switch. Oh yeah, there's what twenty in here.
00:08:32
Speaker 5: That's a lot.
00:08:34
Speaker 4: God, it's like a more another mortgage.
00:08:37
Speaker 2: So yeah, So that's my point. But there hundred dollars for light switches is one thing. Three hundred dollars per switch is a completely different thing for a boogie bastard like him. Well, I didn't get them all done. I didn't get any of the plugs done. All the plugs I went cheap on. Okay, But but there are a couple of key There are a couple of key switches and knobs in this apartment which I got done via Buster and punch. I split one knob. The ones that I touched the most are the ones that I spend some money on the end. How often you turn the light on in that closet in the guest room? Okay, he wants how long? Well when I when I have to get linens for Darren's guest bed, I have to turn the light on in the closet. So once a month you need to turn the light switch on. With three hundred dollars, you'll never get your money's worth on that closet light. Never Darren see he's going off on me. This is what happens on the Brooklyn Boys podcast.
00:09:30
Speaker 4: I can't hear darn thing, but I do know that you know is if one switches three hundred dollars? What do we do with the three which there is a switch over there that has three switches built into one and knobs and switches, So is that three hundred each or is there a discount?
00:09:47
Speaker 2: There's no discounts at Buster and Punch. You're paying per switch per knob. But anyway, but that's that's are all irrelevant, he Darren. You know anyway, Darren gave me some great advice and I may or may not use it technically. Right now, I'm out of money, so I will not be making any more upgrades to my place. The budget is finished, it's over, and I have to live with what I have, So the door handles will not be getting replaced at least anytime soon.
00:10:12
Speaker 4: What about the umbrella stand?
00:10:14
Speaker 2: You have an umbrella stand in the hallway as soon as you walk in, and both Darren have never seen you carry an umbrella in your life. Never have you had an umbrella? Why do you have an umbrella stand for? Are the people that bring them? I guess would be if people bring an umbrella that I don't want a wet umbrella in my track through my apartment. So soon as you open the door, there's an umbrella stand in there? How much they can put them?
00:10:36
Speaker 3: Darren? Darren? How much Darren do you think he paid for the umbrella stand?
00:10:41
Speaker 4: I mean, I think when you walk into somebody's home, the first thing you want to see is an umbrella stand that says welcome to my home.
00:10:49
Speaker 2: Yeah, this summer when it's not raining. But seriously, how much do you think he paid for the umbrella stand? Knowing scaring and how it looks? How much would you pay for an umbrella stand?
00:11:00
Speaker 5: This?
00:11:00
Speaker 3: How much?
00:11:01
Speaker 6: With?
00:11:01
Speaker 2: Okay? How much we hold that for umbrellastand I wouldn't I put it in the closet, thank you? Okay, okay? Scary scary? That's by the way, that's tall. Darren a man of sophistication and finer things. He's not someone who goes cheap. He wouldn't get one.
00:11:19
Speaker 3: So now, how much drum roll did you pay for the umbrella stand? That's completely worthless? Go ahead, how much did you pay for it?
00:11:26
Speaker 2: Well, it's made of steel, right, Oh, it's not made of gold or silver or platinum. I think the umbello stand was like, I don't know, fifty dollars, sixty dollars at best? Really, I got it from west Elm. Yes, it's not made by plunging finch. Okay, some like that. But I think Darren's larger point here was that think about what people want to see when the first thing when they do do what you do when you open the door. I don't know if they want to be greeted by an umbrella stand. And Lorena, that's correct. The designer. Fashion designers are the same thing the house designer. So she she also was told me hide that thing. So I could have gotten there a crap nine dollars one, hit it in the closet and we would have been fine.
00:12:15
Speaker 3: But so yeah, fifty sixty dollars one, which means you paid one hundred.
00:12:18
Speaker 2: But here's the problem. Here's what's gonna happen. I'm gonna put that umbrella stand in the and it's gonna go away. It's gonna say peace out, see you later. Put it in the closet, and that space is now empty. So both Darren and Lorraina said, oh, you should buy like a little table to put your stuff on. So so basically the space can't stay empty. I gotta put I gotta replace the umbrella stand with something which probably gonna end up costing me more money. So should I just leave the fucking umbrella stand there at this point? No, you should get a little ledge. You don't need a table, You need a ledge. Mount the ledge into the wall for your keys, you know, or whatever. That's what Darren says, a ledge allege.
00:12:57
Speaker 3: Thank you, Dad.
00:12:57
Speaker 2: How much is that gonna cost me?
00:13:00
Speaker 4: It's probably gonna cost you a lot more, probably around what you've spent on the light switches, I would imagine. But I do think the larger piece is what you lose. You lose when you take out that umbrella stand. The biggest thing you lose is your conversation starter for your house, because it's the number one thing that people say when they walk in is what is that doing in here?
00:13:17
Speaker 5: So?
00:13:17
Speaker 4: What else are you gonna talk about? Look at my lovely key stand?
00:13:21
Speaker 2: Okay, nobody's gonna talk about all right? Are you happy, Brody? No? Because no one's coming to your house to talk about your entrance way. Okay, they're coming to visit you, all right, and they're gonna see your broken window. We're only through the first segment and he's already given me a headache. Darren, please help me out here. Thank you. It's tall Darren. Ladies and gentlemen, and we had it. You know, Darren, I will say, got it? Give you you can stay here for this and I want you to hear this. I just want to say thank you. As the slices. No, I'm always in search of a pool. I am a pool slut. I don't have a pool. I still don't have a pool here in the new place. If you have an indoor pool, it's an indoor pool, it does it's not a pool. I don't do indoor pool. Are you saying, does tall Darren go? No, Darren doesn't go in indoor pools. He's not indoor pool Darren. Whose Darren? So anyway? So so I want to thank Darren because he rescued Robin and I on Saturday, Robin and me, Robin and me whoever. And Darren is a member of like a worldwide member of the SOHO house and he said, scary, come on, man, we're gonna go in the pool. On Saturday. It was like eighty five degrees. It was hot and sunny. Me and my girlfriend, my girlfriend and me my girlfriend and I fuck you third times in charm We we we wanted somewhere to go, and Darren's like, I'm gonna take you into the Soho House in Dumbo in downtown Brooklyn. And we went and we had the best fucking day. So I just want to say thank you because you rescued me on a hot summer August day and it was we did not go to the New l and b is literally at the at the next block. Yeah, how do you not go? We didn't we Anyway, that's besides the point. But I want to say thank you, Darren. Darren's like, the sky is the limit for you.
00:15:05
Speaker 4: Right, I know that was amazing. I did say that a lot of people were talking about in the pool about the rise of these bath houses in New York.
00:15:13
Speaker 2: Again, yeah, with that, there's a lot of bath houses that have been it's been a resurgence. A lot of people are going to them, you know. Jetski Bryan goes to the Russian baths, which apparently these ancient baths had ben this's the eighteen hundreds. Okay, are there any other types of baths than Russian baths?
00:15:29
Speaker 3: No, the Russian baths are known. That is right.
00:15:32
Speaker 2: That's the only kind of bath house I've ever seen is a Russian bath house. There's more than Russian baths. There's more than Russia. Well maybe now.
00:15:37
Speaker 3: By the way, In one of the largest grossing movies.
00:15:40
Speaker 2: Of all time, the New Spider Man film Elena Blova The New Black Widow, he meets her in a Russian bath. Huh. Who knew?
00:15:47
Speaker 3: Anyway, So that's gonna big thing to make it even more popular.
00:15:50
Speaker 2: So anyway, so scary. I want to point out scary though, a Russian bath is an indoor pool.
00:15:55
Speaker 3: Are you okay with that?
00:15:56
Speaker 2: No, I'm not. I ain't going in forget it. As soon as he hears it's trendy, he'll go right in until I pointed out it's an indoor pool. I'll take the massage. Give me a massage, and I'm good. That's why I'm going to a Russian bath. Thank you. All right, We'll be right back my boys podcast.
00:16:14
Speaker 3: I have a Dilemmaather toll Down's gone unrelated to tall Down.
00:16:17
Speaker 2: Okay. You ever find a gift card and you've had it for a while and you're like, you know what, I don't even know if I want what this gift card is for. But it's a gift card. It's free money at this point, Yes, I gotta go spend it. You gotta find a way. The last time you had a gift card? Yep, right, most remember the last gift had Fairway it's a grocery store. Yeah, and he's like, you know what, I gotta spend it. I'll go find I'll go find something to stay. Go find it. First of all, Fairway inconvenient to me to begin with, and I had to go find one and then find a reason to go and get what.
00:16:45
Speaker 3: If you don't know Fairway, you might know Fairway.
00:16:47
Speaker 2: It's the grocery store that Impractical Jokers did most of their grocery store sketches in Oh, did they're a sponsor? Okay, a lot of them were in Fairway in Clifton or wherever that is. Anyway, I had a gift card for twelve dollars to Subway the sandwich shop. Yeah. Now not one of my favorite places. But you still go but still passable, let's face it. I mean no, I mean, if they came on as a sponsor of the Brooklyn Boys podcast, we wouldn't. I'm not I'm saying it's not like I because if it was one of my favorites, I would have spent the gift caught a while ago.
00:17:18
Speaker 3: But there's a subway. You know, everyone's got a subway in their neighborhood or relatively closely close by. And so I was like, you know what.
00:17:25
Speaker 2: Today is the day I'm spending my twelve dollars gift card at subway. Now you've heard rumors about the tuna fish isn't really tuna right and some other issues. So I went on I went on AI, and I asked AI for a recommendation for what what would be a good, relatively healthy ish item I should get when I'm at subway Turkey right, well, turkey roast beef, no turkey or the oven roasted chicken, because the other col cuts are very high in fat and salt, very hide salt, especially salt.
00:18:01
Speaker 3: And the meat and the meatballs.
00:18:03
Speaker 2: I asked two different Ais and they both said the meatballs could have been sitting there. You don't know how long, could have been days, weeks. They also could have been fifty ingredients. Yeah, you have no idea. So I I used to eat the meat polls all the time. I didn't get meat poles. So I walked to the store. You know, I woke from my car I see a big sign in the window from Mowana three ninety nine six inch sub and a whole up another poster. Three ninety nine six inch subs six inch subs. Okay, I've got twelve bucks. I'm like, I'm gonna spend that. No problem, I'll get a cookie, I'll get I'll get a foot long and if I if I go for like a dollar, no big deal. I'm getting twelve bucks, right, sure? How much?
00:18:41
Speaker 3: How much could a sub boy sandwich be? So I go in and there's a little lady behind.
00:18:44
Speaker 2: The counter and I say, give me a foot long and she goes, oh, what kind of bread? I go, you know, give me the I'm gonna splurge. Give me the cheese bread, right because it's the cheeseek plains bread, not cheesy bread, just this cheese on the crust. Oh right, yes, that's a good. Yeah. So I get the foot long and she takes out like a ladle and and and it's pre portioned one ladle for the first half of the sandwich and one ladle.
00:19:10
Speaker 3: Of meat for the second half of the sandwich. And it doesn't look like there's a lot of meat on the sandwich, right, It looks a little.
00:19:16
Speaker 2: They're definitely pre so it's pre weighed. Well, it's pre scooped because it's a it's a special half ladle. Yeah, I've seen that they put those ladles on scales so that so they weigh the meat and they leave the meat in the ladle.
00:19:29
Speaker 6: Yep.
00:19:31
Speaker 2: Well they didn't need met the la just ladle the meat and they made sure it was level whatever. A ladle full, ladle full is one portion, doesn't at the bread. I'm looking at the bread and there's not a lot of meat on it, and she puts the cheese on top, and it looks it looks chimzy, it looks skimpy. So I'm like, you know what, I get a twelve dollars credit credit on this thing. I say, you know what, double meat, double meat, please, double meat. So she takes the scoop and she does a little scoopool that video those two guys double meat, two girls, double meat too. Scripts one cup. So she toasts it for me. I get it toasted, and what do you want on it? I said, just tomato? And she says, uh, you want sauces? Nope, just tomato, cucumber, just tomato. You want treaded lettuce. Just tomatoes, tomato. I'm standing just tomato thing, So just tomato, okay, So double meat tomato on bread with the cheese on the outside.
00:20:24
Speaker 3: That's it. A foot long.
00:20:25
Speaker 2: Now, if most of the foot longs are three three ninety nine, right, a foot long should be eighth. The six inch sub is three ninety nine, so the foot long should be double that. Yeah, well it should be a little less less than double because usually, right, you get a little bit of a disk. So I'm thinking eleven dollars with the extra meat, thirteen fourteen dollars. Pretty much you're gonna come out of pocket for like a dollar two dollars, right, So I'm like, you know what, I got twelve dollars gift card. I'm looking at the cookies. I'm like, oh, I got a raspberry cheesecake cookie. Okay, Oh, look at you. You're treating yourself. Treat yourself, David. Before I get the cookie, I'm thinking maybe I'll get two cookies. So she wraps it up and she says, I go, how much is this the sandwich? I want to sandwich? I have left on my cord scary for my foot long sandwich with chopped up dice, teraoki chicken, some cheese on bread, Jesus, slice anything you please? Yeah?
00:21:22
Speaker 3: Yeah, double meat?
00:21:24
Speaker 2: How much should I expect to pay for that foot long sandwich at subway with some double chicken? I'm going fourteen with tax? Maybe fifteen dollars? Okay? I can get a cookie, yeah yeah, cookie with the with the cookie, with the cookie, yeah, okay, sixteen okay without the cookie, scary without the cookie. The sandwich with tax? Twenty two dollars and thirty eight cents. You went over. I win both showcases. Hey, what's that? I said? So I said, well, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. How is it twenty two dollars? That's fucked up?
00:22:08
Speaker 3: I said? I go, how much was the sandwich?
00:22:11
Speaker 2: I go? How much was the double meat? Because you got double meat? I go, how much is double meat? Six dollars? It's six dollars for double meat. It should be six dollars for a sandwich. Well, how much was the sandwich? How much was the single meat sandwich? That's the question. Sixteen dollars or fifteen and change. Oh, it's a foot long, it's fifteen. I added six dollars of double meat. So without the with without the double meat. A foot a five dollars foot long is now fifteen dollars and change. Oh my god, what the fuck.
00:22:46
Speaker 5: You?
00:22:46
Speaker 2: What if? How? Man?
00:22:48
Speaker 3: I could have gone to Milbourne Deli.
00:22:49
Speaker 2: I could have gone to Tommy Tommy, Tommy Boys, Tony Boys, Tony Boys sandwich isn't Oh yeah, you could have gone to like a homemade small business mom and door may got me fucking sam with that price for the last dude, Milkburn Deli.
00:23:03
Speaker 3: Is like fifteen dollars.
00:23:04
Speaker 2: You get.
00:23:07
Speaker 3: A panini toasted with.
00:23:09
Speaker 2: A chicken breast and higher quality ingredients. For that matter, sixteen dollars for a foot long. It's subwayez five five times three foot long, right, fifteen dollars? Fucked up? Man? Well listen now, I look, if you're living in a small town America, maybe maybe that same sandwich as eleven or ten.
00:23:28
Speaker 3: It's less money.
00:23:29
Speaker 2: I get that I live in New Jersey, but imagine in New York I would have had to finance it if it was a Manhattan Fifteen dollars for a foot long with cheese and tomatoes. That's it. That's awful. That is that is horrid. Matter is two dollars worth of chicken breast and some KARAOKEI sauce. I mean what I would have just I should have just given the card away and go here, sir, you take my card, You look like a nice person. Take my twelve dollars. So it cost me almost eleven dollars. But my free sandwich. You got suckered. They got you where you want you And there's no menu. There's nothing on the menu board that says these sandwiches are fifteen dollars. All the signs, oh, three ninety nine for a six sound sandwich, three ninety nine for a six sound sandwich.
00:24:17
Speaker 3: Have a mawana sandwich.
00:24:18
Speaker 2: Now, I wonder if you took that same order and you brought it to a subway in let's say, Kansas City or the middle of America somewhere. I wonder if it would have been less all right, if you live in middle America, small town middle America, the kind weather is like one traffic light, or there's only one Starbucks within twenty miles, go into a subway and ask him how much with a Tarioki chicken on a foot long with cheese, which I don't think the cheese is extra on the cheesy foot long bread's not going to be talking to that with no extra meat, no extra meat, just the regular Taraoki chicken on a foot long bread with cheese and tomato.
00:24:56
Speaker 3: I think we already know that it's.
00:24:57
Speaker 2: Going to be less. I think the cost of doing business is just naturally large, you know, bigger here. I mean, if you think about it, you know this is always they always say at the end of those commercials, price and participation may vary. That means they don't have to honor that fucking price that you're seeing on that National TV commercial. That means when you go to New York fucking City, middle of Times Square, Manhattan to go to that McDonald's, that fucking McDonald's dollar menu is like a fucking four dollar menu. Those those items aren't a dollar those under the dollar menu doesn't exist in Manhattan because price and participation may vary. The price will vary, and it's based on the fact that rent is higher at that McDonald's in the middle of Times Square. So so I just tell you those prices chicken. I asked how much the chicken karaokey foot long is at Subway in New Jersey between eleven ninety nine and thirteen ninety nine if purchased in store, though prices can surge between sixteen ninety nine and nineteen fifty when ordering through delivery apps. I'm not a delivery app. Okay, how much is the chicken in tariokey subway? Sandwich foot long in Oklahoma at subway? I get you're gonna get an answer that's lower, you know, No, eleven ninety nine to thirteen seventy nine. All right, Well, you know, I just think that I've seen it. Well, I've seen it before, Brody. I've seen it.
00:26:18
Speaker 3: When I was fifteen. So this is lower.
00:26:21
Speaker 2: These fast food places that we've gotten complaints before. I've heard this from out of towners, like my god. You know, we go to a fast food spot here and New York City and it's like it's like four three four dollars.
00:26:36
Speaker 3: You got a pay Manhattan rent. But this is New Jersey.
00:26:39
Speaker 2: It doesn't matter. Have you seen the taxes lately in New Jersey? The property taxes come on, Brody? You know you were you're a homeowner. I understand that the taxes have to go to pay for clearing the roads during snowstorms.
00:26:53
Speaker 3: I get that.
00:26:53
Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's about it. But say it's sixteen dollars should have gone from nine to ninety nine to eleven ninety nine. Fifteen dollars for a foot long is you can't. You can't be doing business like that when you're selling subway sandwiches. You can't. The high quality place across the street is selling the same, the same price sandwich with a high quality, awesome chicken breast breaded with bacon on it. Ridiculous anyway, So fuck you gift card. I'm mad at my gift card. I wanted that cookie. I wasn't paying twenty two dollars plus a cookie. I wanted that cookie. I wanted that cookie was a RedBerry teesekake Academia not already watched that movie by himself all night last night. I wanted that. I wanted that cookie.
00:27:41
Speaker 5: With Sary and Brodie.
00:27:44
Speaker 2: And now this is something that I really think we need to have Scottie Bee on the podcast for or we could just tell the story for him. This was this is huge gott Bee from the Big Scotty Feet Bee from our big show. I want to know if it was actually I want to shift this over to you. Well maybe not anyway, I'm not going to ask you, but so we'll just we'll just talk about how any of that. Well, well, well I'm gonna just tell you what happened. He matb me tell the story. We have We have thousands of people waiting for this. Okay, all right. So so on the Big Show, Scottie b you know, lives with his two daughters, Ashley, the older one being of college age. She's she's nineteen years old. Okay, we have to give their names. Yeah, that's fine. He talks about her. He talks about his daughter's on the air too, all the time. Okay, So Ashley his oldest. So he talks about Ashley and Cooper. So you do follow them on Instagram? No, I don't, No, I don't. In fact, I hid Greg T's daughter, so I never made that mistake again in a closet and the umbrellas day. It was basically an accidental, like on her fucking post, on her bikini post, on a bikini post, and it was an accident. Okay, you got caught. Yeah, no, it was an accident. And anyway, so I hid her from my feed, but I did not follow her because I didn't want to offend her Okay, so we didn't follow her any I don't. I don't see her stuff anymore. But so every night, literally morning, it's a ritual. When Scotty wakes up, he goes into Ashley and Cooper's rooms and he he says, okay, have a good day, and you know, you know, kind of touches them and walks out, okay, have have you know, you know, walks outs good night, good night, all right, great fast forward. Scotty uh the other morning, gets up, goes get takes a shower, gets dressed, and then he goes into Ashley's room and he does the same things up and he touches her arm and says, have a good night, okay, good all right. Whatever he does his ritual, he leaves, good day, good day, have a good day, good days, good day. He gets in the car and as he's pulling away, he sees there are two other cars in his driveway, not just not just his car, but apparently he starts thinking on his way to work, oh shit, Ashley had a couple of her friends stay over last night. And I went into the room and I didn't even look because she was facing the other way and she had the covers over her. I what if it wasn't my daughter's arm that I caressed? What if it was one of her friends?
00:30:39
Speaker 5: Oh, so.
00:30:43
Speaker 3: It definitely wasn't a guy in the bed with his door.
00:30:45
Speaker 2: No, it wasn't a guy. There was two of her girlfriends or nineteen eighteen year old girlfriends were around. So then when he gets home later that day, he says, Ashley, did you I know sometimes you don't remember these things, but do you remember that I you know why I woke you up this morning? And do you remember me like saying goodbye to you? And she goes, I definitely it would know you didn't say goodbye to me. Are you sure? I'm positive.
00:31:22
Speaker 3: Did sleep on the inside of the outside? I could have asked that.
00:31:25
Speaker 2: He confessed to her, I think I touched one of your friends accidentally. No, yeah, yeah, So so he had to He's like, you gotta you gotta clean this up for me, this mess this is you gotta talk to her, let her know I didn't mean it and tell her was the case of mistaken identity. I'm playing the Larry David music because this is an episode of Kurby Your Twodays. This would totally be an episode of Kirby pedophilia. So, I mean, so sheer not sure enough. It was not at her it was one of her friends.
00:32:02
Speaker 3: And why does the friend remember?
00:32:03
Speaker 2: And yes, the friend was awake and just sat there and froze in silence and was freaked out. Why is this? Why is this man coming into this room and touching my arm and saying, have a nice day, sweetie. Can you imagine if the ritual was to bend down and kiss his daughter on the head and say, I look anyway. We had a big laugh with it as we talked about it on the air. It was so fucking funny. He apologized profusely, and it was I mean, this is it. It's terrible. But hey, don't we know somebody a girl? Now I know I know them, but I don't remember if you know them. If we talked about on the podcast who got into bunk beds? Her boyfriend was in a bunk bed and she got in the top bunk and started making out with him. Yes, yes, what was some we know? It was either an intern or someone we know got into the bunk bed. He said, oh, meet me, I'll be going in that room. It was at a party or something, he said, I'll be in the bunk bed.
00:33:10
Speaker 3: I'll meet you in there.
00:33:11
Speaker 2: He climbed into the bunk bed, started making out with him, and then realized he was on the bottom bunk.
00:33:17
Speaker 3: And it wasn't.
00:33:18
Speaker 2: Hers, and it wasn't the boyfriend right who was Have you ever done something inappropriate to the wrong person and you didn't realize it was the wrong person until it was too late?
00:33:27
Speaker 3: Leave us the talk back. Yeah, I'm sure it's happened.
00:33:31
Speaker 2: So I I have.
00:33:36
Speaker 3: I have gone up to people.
00:33:42
Speaker 2: That weren't like my kids and I said, hey, you're like, I've tried to get their attention and they turn around and not my kid. When they were younger, we were I forget it, were reaching park or something, and I first split second was like I called one of them and then realized, like it was they said the same color shirt on and uh turned around real quick and it wasn't my kid. That was the closest. That was a long time ago. But otherwise never had like, no, no, like makeout things like that. But the but I came out rubbing your friend, your daughter's friend's arm, going open a good day baby. Anyway, that is the most scotty thing that happened.
00:34:16
Speaker 3: Did the did the friend mention it to his daughter? Like, do you think?
00:34:20
Speaker 2: Yeah? I think I think she did. I don't know how it happened. I don't know. It's I don't know if Scotty would have even come on to tell it, but he would have. He would have been very proud that we were talking about it on The Brooking Boys. So it's at the very least I could say, listen to serial Killers, which going to say we should promote podcast. Yeah, right, listen killers podcast Scott about serial not about serial killers, right, although in this case, I mean it sounded like it had all the material touching. That's pretty crazy. I don't think I've ever had a mistaken identity with anybody. I think Scotty is going to be on dateline. There have been times when I would call the when I thought some with somebody else like you, and I'm like, I called out a name and it wasn't that person. He turned around, someone in the street could have been a friend of mine. I'm like, oh, I thought you were someone else, But yeah, I did something like that at pickleball the other night. So I'm on the court all the way in the back, right and in the front where the paddles are is the people waiting to get on the court. So it's it's I don't know, maybe fifty yards. So loud Brooklyn me if I yell Mike two, then Michael noed, you know, we need two people on the court. Otherwise they have to wait till the people from my court who lost walk all the way down there and tell them we need two people on the on the back court.
00:35:43
Speaker 3: Right, So I play with a guy named Jack.
00:35:48
Speaker 2: Don't make jokes. His real name is Jack, and I wasn't playing with him that way. His name is Jack, and he has gray hair, okay, very white hair, like white hair, not gray hair, but like white hair, like Anderson Cooper.
00:35:57
Speaker 5: Right.
00:35:57
Speaker 2: Sure. So I'm looking to see who's at the paddle rack. I need two players because I just won and we need two more players. And I see Jack is down at the end, sitting at the counter, and I know it's Jack's I just see the top of his head and I see the white hair.
00:36:13
Speaker 3: So I'm yelling.
00:36:14
Speaker 2: Jack, Jack, we need two Jack.
00:36:19
Speaker 3: And the guy looks up and it's not Jack.
00:36:22
Speaker 2: And so that's twice the same podcast.
00:36:27
Speaker 3: So I quickly yell guys at the rack.
00:36:31
Speaker 2: We need two, you try to cover it up. Yeah, that's hysterical. Luckily, meanwhile, I look a little to my left and on the court next to us is actually Jack who's standing there. He stopped playing, going what do you want? And why are you yelling down right? What right? Exactly? And you interrupted my fucking game. That's great?
00:36:55
Speaker 3: So yeah, yeah, because he had the same white hair from a distance, like from a distance, all right, Ben Spike, Bette Midler, Yes, Bette Midler. Yeah.
00:37:07
Speaker 2: So what are your plans for this weekend, David Brody? You have anything fun going on? Or what?
00:37:11
Speaker 3: Oh? Boy, let me think what have fun going on?
00:37:15
Speaker 2: May may go to May uh, may go. We may go to a steakhouse Saturday. But but I may go to one that's known having terrific chicken palm. So really, yes, I may get a chicken parm in a steakhouse, which I do by the way. You know, when I go to the Palm Steakhouse in New York, I get to you give the chicken palm. We've talked about that on this podcast. Damn, this was going to be you know what. I would have loved to have been there to maybe pay for your steak dinner. But I'm I'm going to Chicago. You know you could all Chicago. Yeah. I think. By the way, I think you asked me what I'm doing this weekend just so you could tell me what you're doing this weekend. Hey, Sky, what are you doing this weekend? No? No, what am I doing this weekend? Well, it's funny you asked.
00:38:02
Speaker 7: You know.
00:38:02
Speaker 2: It's a couple of people that I know. Oh okay, yeah, well you remember that. Well you remember our friend, you know, Sala the Free money pal, and Josh and friend you know, Rich Davis and Niko, all the whole. My arch enemy, Josh, your arch enemy? Are you arch nemesis? Yes, yes, we've had him on the podcast. Yeah, we've had this Josh on the podcast. So Josh and and it's Josh's birthday. Oh push him a happy birthday for me. Really, I do, like, Josh, really want me to wish your tell you something. Josh and I listen. Josh and I go way back. We've been friends a long time. And Josh and I have Facebook friends and we're both Mets fans. And you know, if you comment on something and someone that your price Facebook friends with goes to that same post, they see your comments first. Yes, that's a that's a relatively new thing. It didn't always do that. So now Josh likes and comments on all my comments and we agree on everything related to the Mets. So we've been interacting a lot on Facebook thanks to the new the new algorithm and the way they do with the comments. Okay, you could tell, you tell, Josh, I said, yeah. So we were like, hey, let's go. Let's a bunch of us old school guys get together and go to Chicago and our friend.
00:39:12
Speaker 3: Oh oh, old school meeting people that worked at ZE one hundred back in the.
00:39:15
Speaker 2: Night and back yes, yes, and then Scotty b I'm sorry, not Scotty Be. Brian, Brian Phillips, our friend. He does the afternoon show at Q one on one in Chicago, longtime friend of money there. That's Toyles Brian. He's already there, Brian, and we are going to UH to see the Mets play the Chicago White Sox on Saturday night. So we're kind of excited about that. I I, you know, I did go to see I saw the Yankees play the White Sox. There wasn't into it, but you know what, I don't want to say there's hope, but I'm starting to get a little rumbling maybe there could be something there that the light is not out yet on the New York Mets twenty twenty six season.
00:39:59
Speaker 3: Season's over, but they're playing very well.
00:40:00
Speaker 2: They're playing nine and I don't.
00:40:04
Speaker 3: I don't.
00:40:05
Speaker 2: It doesn't matter, they're not it's they're too far out. It doesn't matter. Anyway, Let's not get two supports that you haven't I know, but I'm excited. I haven't been excited to see the Mets all season. I haven't gone to one fucking game. This is gonna be the first game I'm going to. And well, if you're a fan, you go to a game because you like the team, not because they're winning and losing.
00:40:21
Speaker 3: Every game is an individual experience.
00:40:23
Speaker 2: With a fire cell with half their fucking team. But anyway, you know, they traded a bunch of pitchers and from the beginning of the year, you know the fact that we lost these guys, Alonzo and Nimo. I Nevermo's done, McNeill's done, don't whatever it is, Okay, we're not gonna get sports you. But I'm saying is, yeah, should we like you go into a game. Do you think do you think no, No, there's a chance. No, no, they would have to go twenty and oh twenty two and two out of the next twenty two games. Why you're doing math on me, bro, Just give me some casts. In the history of baseball, there's only been two or three times and any team has won that many games in one hundred and fifty years. I didn't you saw a money ball? I saw moneyball. Money ball? That was the two thousand and one what Cleveland Indians?
00:41:08
Speaker 3: No scary, they didn't. They didn't win twenty games in a row. Let's they did.
00:41:12
Speaker 2: They did, but they did though they went they set a wreck major league record.
00:41:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, that's the teams.
00:41:18
Speaker 2: The September one run. They made the playoffs, they almost went to the they almost went to the World Series, or they almost won the World Let's move on. We're not they're not making it then. I hate to break your heart. I'm a fan, but no, all right, Tyle Cruz fan, break your heart. Oh break your heart. I didn't go I didn't go back to half a sentence. Come on, all right, So you have a nice weekend plan? I good. Hey, By the way, slices you have a friend who asked you what you're doing, so they can tell you what they're doing.
00:41:45
Speaker 3: That's what Scary just did.
00:41:46
Speaker 2: I did not do that. Yes we did. Hey, I Broughty.
00:41:50
Speaker 3: How's your car?
00:41:51
Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, I just bought a new one, now that you mentioned it. That's scary joes In. That is not me.
00:41:59
Speaker 3: Yes, it is we, Volley.
00:42:01
Speaker 2: We we say things. I say something, say something. We know. You only asked me what I was doing this weekend because you wanted to talk about what you're doing this weekend. But I want to hear what you're doing this weekend. You only told me you're gonna have really really chicken part of a steakhouse. That's all you'd said. All Right, okay, yeah, okay, all right, proty, We'll be right back.
00:42:18
Speaker 6: All right, the Brooklyn Boys Podcast.
00:42:21
Speaker 2: We will be right back.
00:42:23
Speaker 3: We got two breaks left.
00:42:25
Speaker 2: Yeah, I got some audio I want to play and play I'm playing now. And then at some point I got to update what I I had an update on some Oh, I had an update on the pizza play story. And I may have a Chinese food problem. So let me let me play some audio clips. I have hold on here and play some audio clips and then I'm I'm gonna tell you the Pizza Place update because it's hilarious. I think, Okay, what do you got? So hold on, hold on, okay. Gary Cohen is the announcer for the Mets. Yes, one of the greatest announcers in baseball wins Emmy's undoubtedly one of the greatest announcers in the sport. He's he's a legend, and one of the things he's known for is he uses a lot of big words. Earlier this year he called it a play in the outfield, pulkratudinous, something to that effect. He likes to use big vocabulary words. Great announcer, well scary he was talking. He used an expression. Now you're gonna hear two voices. Ron Darling talking about something and then Gary Cohen comes on talking about how something is late. Okay, tell me if you notice the mistake in what he says, because I was dumbfounded he would say this, all right.
00:43:38
Speaker 4: Whenever I see that, it reminds me of what will happen if you were in your pool and you swung your back.
00:43:44
Speaker 5: Okay, here comes daylight, a dollar shorts.
00:43:49
Speaker 2: Day late, and a dollar short.
00:43:52
Speaker 3: Did he say daylight?
00:43:53
Speaker 2: A day late and a dollar shorts. Yeah, a day late and a dollar short.
00:44:00
Speaker 5: Daylight a dollar short.
00:44:02
Speaker 3: I thought he said daylight.
00:44:03
Speaker 5: Daylight a dollar short.
00:44:05
Speaker 3: Oh, I thought he said daylight. He said daylight.
00:44:07
Speaker 2: I heard day late. Maybe he did say daylight.
00:44:10
Speaker 3: But now, all right, we'll move on. Doesn't matter.
00:44:12
Speaker 2: I could be wrong. Now let me move on. This is a newscaster on a major cable news network.
00:44:18
Speaker 7: The talent is still there, but he is not played well at.
00:44:22
Speaker 2: This is MLB network. This is a sportscaster on MLB network.
00:44:26
Speaker 7: The talent is still there, but he is not played well. Is that bats have not been good defensively? He looks laxadaisically. Made two mistakes over the week, lacks daasical.
00:44:38
Speaker 2: So he's combining the word lax and lackadaisical and combining them into a word that doesn't exist. Which, by the way, I've heard so many people make that mistake over the years. That give that a few more years, that'll be in the fucking dictionary and be acceptable. Because they do that. Now you know that they they just people that conflate words. Would be enormous when it becomes came a word. Yeah, but other there's there was another, there was there was another, There was a few other regardless, irregard, irregardless. Yeah, I'm like, what the fuck is that? That was never a word growing up. Irregardless it's it's regardless. It already means what irregardless means. Yeah, but irregardless was never a word, But now it is because people kept saying irret What were they trying to say? What were the two words they put together in irregardless? No, they want to say they want to make it. It's like when people say I could care less. They want to make it as negative sounding as possible, but they mean they couldn't care less. Yeah, well, like they go, I ain't seen nothing. That means you saw something, you saw something. Yeah. They feel like if I string a bunch of negatives, it will sound more negative. Well yeah, okay, So this is Katie Babs. Are all DJ friends? Oh how's she doing these days? Well, she slipped in a word I don't think makes it's not the right Here we go. What is she saying is this is the ground.
00:45:52
Speaker 4: In the morning all the time, and you only hear me Katie Babs and not jose Mangan.
00:45:57
Speaker 2: Later on, well, to you get a little taste of him.
00:45:59
Speaker 6: In between my shows.
00:46:00
Speaker 2: Does that make sense? Hopefully I'm making it.
00:46:03
Speaker 3: Makes What does she say? Hold on sense?
00:46:05
Speaker 2: Hopefully I'm making it make sense? Hold hold on?
00:46:08
Speaker 3: I thought, she said?
00:46:09
Speaker 2: Hold on? Does that make sense?
00:46:11
Speaker 3: She says? Does that make sense?
00:46:13
Speaker 2: Is that? She says?
00:46:15
Speaker 3: Does that make sense?
00:46:16
Speaker 2: She? I don't know here it is?
00:46:18
Speaker 3: Hold on?
00:46:19
Speaker 2: Does that make sense? Hold On? Does that make sense? No? She said it? Does that make sense? She said? She slurred her words. I'm gonna give her a pass on that one. Brodie, come on now, all right, all right, fuck me, all right, hold on, I got I got one movie. Okay, this is a good one, though, I want you to this is clearly an AI commercial. It's a It's a commercial for one of those handheld casino games. We can win lots of money, Yeah, like Chumbu Casino. What is that a sponsor? Chumbu Casino? Yeah? You could basically play online?
00:46:53
Speaker 3: Is that a sponsor?
00:46:54
Speaker 2: Do you play for free? Or play or play for real money? Shine? What you shied up by how dot com?
00:47:08
Speaker 3: It was so obvious.
00:47:10
Speaker 2: Why in the million years would you suddenly come up with a with a handheld casino game app? Name everyone the whole world playing it.
00:47:18
Speaker 3: Stop it. Well, I hope to god this isn't for that.
00:47:21
Speaker 2: So it's clearly it looks like a real commercial with two women talking in a laundromat or wherever they are, and I and I look closely. It's clearly AI because you can see it's AI women. But at first glance you think it's real. But you know how AI doesn't understand inflection. Yes, listen to the way the woman asks if there's any catches to this great deal? And I'll play isolated in a minute, money playing games and doing tasks cashed out?
00:47:45
Speaker 6: An Amazon gift card bought this? Is there a subscription fee?
00:47:50
Speaker 5: This?
00:47:54
Speaker 6: Money playing games and doing tasks cashed out? An Amazon gift card bought this?
00:48:00
Speaker 2: Oh it's catch down gift card? Fuck this, Fuck this.
00:48:03
Speaker 3: Now, listen to what her friend says to see if it's legit.
00:48:06
Speaker 6: For subscription fee or what's the catch there's no catch? Is there a subscription fee? Or what's the catch there's no catch?
00:48:15
Speaker 3: Is there a subscription fee? Or what's the catch?
00:48:17
Speaker 4: Oh?
00:48:17
Speaker 2: Yeah, that the inflection is terrible. That's definitely an AI commercial. Yeah, here it is isolated, right?
00:48:24
Speaker 6: Is there a subscription fee? Or what's the catch?
00:48:27
Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's terrible. Yeah. If you had a real actress in there, she would have said it like this, Yeah, tell me, is there is there a real subscription? She? Is there a real subscription fee? What's what's the catch? What's what's the catch? Like? Come on, now, there's gotta be a gotcha in there? See A. I can't can't detect that. They don't understand that the uh, the sarcasm. There has to be sarcasm in their voice. Somebody produced this commercial, this video that goes along with it.
00:48:53
Speaker 3: That's what sponsor is that. It's not that game you mentioned.
00:48:58
Speaker 6: Hold on, is there a subscription or what's the catch?
00:49:01
Speaker 2: Is there? What's the cat? There is there a what's the catch? Oh? That's that? That is Oh god, oh god. Casino would never no, not, they would never. Now is there a code word scary to get me extra coins or anything? No? Trump of Casino right again, I'd like to know why they're not sponsored. This would have been a great segue to go into a real commercial. But this is this app You may be hearing it because I this is a commercial that appears on the Elvis Ran podcast network that I did all right, Well, well then I'm going to download the app if they're going to sponsor our podcast for sure or what's the catch? No, not that one. This one Casino is a sponsor, thank you, Not the one that I just played, right exactly.
00:49:43
Speaker 3: Okay, all right, I got a pizza update.
00:49:47
Speaker 2: I want to hear about this and then I have a few other things for you, but continue go.
00:49:51
Speaker 3: Yeah, this is this is a quick one.
00:49:53
Speaker 2: Remember I told you about the pizza place across from the pizza place, and I said, I went to the new pizza place and it shit yeah, and I and I didn't want to.
00:50:02
Speaker 3: I didn't it's not it's not my place to mention.
00:50:05
Speaker 2: I didn't want to like bad mouth the place, and I didn't want to say where it was, and so I didn't say where it was located. I didn't give any information other than I went to a new place that was shit y and Okay.
00:50:19
Speaker 3: So I get a message.
00:50:21
Speaker 2: On on Instagram from someone I know from pickleball, who I know listens to the podcast.
00:50:31
Speaker 3: Okay, and I'll tell you what they said.
00:50:36
Speaker 2: So they wrote, Hey, I'm a I'm a big stickler when it comes to when it comes to uh pizza, so I'm sorry. It's driving me crazy. I have to ask was it blah blah blah Pizza? Because they just opened and I went there and it was terrible, and I had to go across the street to blah blah blah Pizza like you did and get a real slice of pizza away where you were talking about, because the pizza was shit, and I know the pizza across the street is excellent. So I figured out where you were going. Did they get it right? Yes? Wow? Wow? Have every pizza place in New Jersey now doesn't know where I live from?
00:51:17
Speaker 3: Pickleball?
00:51:18
Speaker 2: Now someone gonna is someone going to tell this pizzaia that they need to up their game.
00:51:25
Speaker 3: Well, here's the thing.
00:51:26
Speaker 2: I had lunch yesterday with paper menu and paper menu. I told you he's not listening to our full podcast right now. He's been very busy because he's gotta go with his kid to day, can't pick him up if they can't drop him off, to them up whatever. So he's been looking at the chapter names and listening to just the chapter names that catch his eye, or if I say to him, hey, we talked about blah blah blah. So at lunch yesterday he says, hey, man, I listened to the chapter about the pizza places, okay, just out of curiosity. Was it blah blah blah pizza and blah blah blah blaha. How did you know, he said, because I went there and it was shit. I love it. I love it. So apparently that's two other people that based on how bad the pizza is and its proximity to the good pizza place across the street.
00:52:14
Speaker 3: He knew across the road. He knew right away where I was talking about in all of New Jersey.
00:52:19
Speaker 2: Now. He said to me, are you going to leave a bad Google review? I said, I don't think so. He goes, I wouldn't do that. Let the market the slices. I don't know if you think he's right. Let me know what you think, he said. Let the market determine if they stay in business. Let people go and see it's terrible and they just won't go and either they'll fix their food or they'll go out of business or other people believe reviews. You don't want to hurt the man's livelihood. He's got to feed his family. You don't want to be that guy, I said, if he has to feed his family. I hope he's not feeding him his pizza because his pizza sucks. So and I know, scarre of your big Google review person, I am. I am now my friend Kenny from Pickleball is probably going to leave a negative review.
00:53:00
Speaker 5: You.
00:53:00
Speaker 2: Yeah I should not.
00:53:02
Speaker 3: Well, not as David Brody for sure, but yeah, I'm even under this.
00:53:06
Speaker 2: They've gotta they've got to learn though they they're not going to get better. You're doing everyone to this service. I think that, you know, listen, you gotta like fucking you're gonna swim or sink. And they better swim because they're not. They're sinking right now. And and they you know, they will be. They'll be out of business because of their ship product. And nobody was honest with them shapizza. If they're a real business owner who cares, they will figure a way to make it right. Unless you don't know how to make good pizza. Now, you know what this reminded me of? Remember the phone the prank phone calls Elvis used to do. He would call up We've talked about this on the podcast. Maybe recently he would call up a fast food place. We he just played that for his birthday, Elvis calling out all the waffle house for dumb ass.
00:53:58
Speaker 3: They put dumbass on the phone.
00:54:00
Speaker 2: They hold on. Every one of them knew who dumbass was and put dumbss on the phone. Yeah, you have to say, like which dumb ass the tall guy. He'd be like, hey, yeah, put dumb mess on the phone. I hold on and they get on the phone. They go yo, And that was we go. You know, I asked to speak the dumb ass and they got you. Yeah, how did that happen?
00:54:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, So that's how I feel like.
00:54:19
Speaker 2: I said, hey, ship pizza, and everyone's going, oh, I know what you're talking about. They know who the dumb ass pizza place is right away, I think. And Kenny went right over to the good place and was like, I just want to let you know I was over the bad play. I say, I did the same thing at the pizza place, at the s pizza place. Yeah, while we while we were at the Dumbo house, told Darren that he took me to the Solo Soho House, Soho house, whatever it is. You could have gone to the Dumbo House and Soho that's also a neighborhood New York we experienced. I guess, you know, we ordered some drinks and the guy goes, hell, I got you, man, I got you. An hour later, doesn't come back with the drinks. I'm like, all right, so somebody else gets us to drinks. All right. Then we ordered a second round from the first guy, and I'm like, hey, what's up we want We're on the second round of these drinks. It goes oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, good, I got you. I got you. Never shows up again. We think he quiet quit. You know what quiet quitting is a lot of people are quiet quitting now where they're just like, fuck it, I'm just gonna I'm just gonna ride out my shift. I'm gonna do everything wrong and do everything I can to get fired because the guy just dis fucking appeared the entire time. There's no way this dude is employed by these people at Soho House, who, by the way, their members pay thousands of dollars a year to be a member. I was just a guest of a member and I was getting irate. But this dude just disappeared on us, and he didn't and we're like, it became laughable that he was gone. And then some other woman had to pick up his slack and said, oh, I'm so sorry. Yeah, I'm like, just on the guy. I said, where is the guy? He goes, She was, yeah, four or five other uh you know, lounge chairs, same thing they left. He left the open tabs and I had to pick up the pieces. I didn't know. I took over. I took over. No, I didn't take I just took over for a shift. So I said to her, what happened? Where did he go? And she just smirked, and she goes, I just I can't. I can't right now. I'm just gonna get your drinks. Don't worry about it. Let's move forward. So I think either he quiet quit or just fucking walked off the job in the middle, in.
00:56:30
Speaker 3: The middle of the explosive diarrhea.
00:56:33
Speaker 2: Maybe in the in the middle. Well, I'll I don't know. I don't know. We'll never know the end of that story. But no, but I'm you're probably right though. He probably just quit or people do it all the time now, they just walk out.
00:56:45
Speaker 3: I gotta go.
00:56:46
Speaker 2: They just walk out in the middle of a shift. They don't even wait till the end of the day or like, so they cannot at least get their pay for the day. This guy's like, em, this is it ain't worth it? I'm out. I mean, do you have that little patience that you just leaving in the it'll just you ever quit in the middle of a day like just I quit? No. You know, when a shift comes to an end and you're in the middle of a restaurant situation in the middle and you have open tabs, what you'd the proper thing to do is you come over with the new person that's going to be relieving you and say, Hi, why shift has ended. This person here is taking you over and you're in good hands with them, and they kind of do like like a handoff, like a visual handoff, so you know you're being taken care of. But there was no continuity here whatsoever. This dude promised us drinks twice. It fucked us. But anyway, well, let me ask you this. That's a that's a first world problem. Slices. Yeah, now it's a similar problem with wait staff and if you're if you're a waiter waitress, you could comment on this for sure. Paper menu were out to lunch yesterday and this drives them crazy. Yeah, Bie Britney spears, someone, thank you. Have you ever not exactly. Have you ever seen uh, someone who's not your waitress or waiter and you say, hey, I'm sorry to bother you.
00:58:04
Speaker 3: I know you're not my waiter.
00:58:05
Speaker 2: Waitress. If you see Maria, can you tell her that we really need refills or that we're ready to order, or that we need another fork. Right, you're not asking them to do it, just hey, if you see Maria, can you can you just tell her that we need all right.
00:58:20
Speaker 3: Maria?
00:58:21
Speaker 2: All right, Carlos Santana, Yeah, Maria, Maria. Oh, once been a girl named Maria. Okay, west side story. So paper menu pops his head in. We're eating outside. He pops his head in and he says, he says to this guy walking by, hey, if you see our waitress, and he says, who she is? You see our waitress? Can you tell her? I want to refill on my coke? Yeah, no problem, I'm going I'm going going back there. So we wait a minute or two Maria. Maria comes out and she says, Hi, what what can help you with? He says, what do you mean? Goes oh, uh, Jose said that you needed me. So he didn't give her the message no that he wanted a coke so she could have gotten the coke and brought it out and brought it out instead. He instead, he said, your table wants you. Wow.
00:59:09
Speaker 3: How hard would it have been for him to.
00:59:11
Speaker 2: Say, well, she didn't want to take responsibility if she sucked it up and then it's on him. No, he didn't say anything. Oh, he already had a coke. He wanted a refill. So instead she came outside because we're sitting on the on the on the patio, and then she had to go all the way back in to get the soda. What what what if if you're a weight a weight staff member, don't you give the message to the person or you just go that's not my fucking problem. Hey go see your asshole client outside. He wants pretty much that. I'm sure they were calling you guys assholes too.
00:59:44
Speaker 7: We were not.
00:59:45
Speaker 3: He's a regular there. They liked him very much. Everybody was everybody was.
00:59:50
Speaker 2: Cool, everybody's fine, have a good day. I'll tell you he did. He did.
00:59:54
Speaker 3: He did yell at somebody.
00:59:55
Speaker 2: So we're sitting on the patio and and and it's a it's a long, narrow patio and the end of the patio maybe thirty feet away where the part is a parking lot right so where the where the building ends, Yep, there's a parking lot. So around the wall. Right around the wall is a waitress who waited on us the last time. And I know he knows her because because he was friendly with her last time we were there. She's smoking and the wind is blowing the smoke right in my face and so I'm like, oh, I can't breathe, and I pulled my shirt up over my nose. It's really getting to me. So he yells her, no smoking, You bothered my friend. Go around the wall, and so she looks at him and doesn't say anything. She's like, oh fuck, and she goes around the wall. I said, I go, I go, you dude, you're yelling at the waitress goes, I'm here all the time.
01:00:49
Speaker 3: I tip, Well, it's okay, wow.
01:00:51
Speaker 2: So okay, that's balls. All right. That guy's you know what, that fucking he's gonna be getting some fucking some spit.
01:01:00
Speaker 3: He knows her. She was, she was all eye with it.
01:01:04
Speaker 2: My part was I don't know the relationship. So yeah, yeah, anyway, good thing he's a regular.
01:01:09
Speaker 5: That is my point.
01:01:09
Speaker 2: We'll be right back.
01:01:10
Speaker 3: It's okay, yell at her. Would you do that?
01:01:12
Speaker 2: You would do that? No, No, I wouldn't. No, I would not. That's not me. He wouldn't. I know, it's not my style. Sorry. Did we talk about Nettie Spaghetti on this podcast? Refresh my memory? I know we've talked about Nettie Potts. No, Nettie Spaghetti. There's a place in tinton Falls, New Jersey that familiar has a policy. Well, it was big story several years ago. No, we didn't talk about Netty Spaghetti. Because when I was at the Dumbo House pool, we were talking to some people there and somehow Nettie Spaghetti came up. Oh no, was it? That was the other pool I was at last week? It was at Saint Laurent. Anyway, that being said, Oh my god, your name dropping pools Now. I did get it for free, christ I paid retail. Anyway, So it's Nettie's House of Spaghetti's House of Spaghetti, Neddie's house and whatever the fuck now is Netty's. Okay, So we they basically banned anyone under ten years old.
01:02:15
Speaker 3: Oh, we talked about this. I brought this to the podcast years ago. Or you did, yeah, yeah, or didn't we.
01:02:21
Speaker 2: Just talk about it last week or two weeks ago. No, we talked about it maybe a year ago, so yeah, talk about So there was a big uproar when they decided that they didn't want anyone under ten in their restaurant. Now, let's face it, if you're a kid, you love kids love spaghetti, right, So a place with the name spaghetti in it, you're gonna get a lot of fucking families to try and fucking break down your door.
01:02:44
Speaker 3: We talked about this. This was a news story February tenth, twenty twenty three.
01:02:49
Speaker 2: That was several years ago, so we basically yeah, so so that was back then, and the town got how dare you this is? You know, they hold it every name under the sun, except for the fact that they forgot that it's privately owned and operated and you could make the fucking rules and say what you want and leave you can keep out whoever the fuck you want. Does that make it right? No, you know, no kids under but they said no kids under ten, and they said, no, we're drawing. We have We're a small place, we serve great food, gourmet food, and we don't want your fucking kids here.
01:03:23
Speaker 3: So we're not giving you a knife to cut your cake.
01:03:25
Speaker 2: Oh that was Joey Tomatoes. Different so Nettie's House of Spaghetti. Everyone went. This goes to show, by the way, that a great idea will always always trump any kind of protest that you may throw at it. So the idea was kids of the ten, We're gonna make a business decision. Well, the uproar from the Facebook groups and the town fan page. How could they do that? This is crazy. We're gonna boycott. We're gonna boycott. Raight rah rah, screaming, yelling, they're fucking for I think a couple of years this went on in these Facebook pages. How could they do that? They're banning my kids. I can't take my kids. We could take guess what, you could take your kids everywhere else. You know what, they don't have very much of these days, places where you can enjoy a meal without it without having to worry about kids under ten, because sometimes you go to these restaurants and they're overrun by families. Listen, all right, I don't know, I don't know if overrun. Say what you want, all right, scary Jones. This is the bitter man talking to the guy who never had kids, but yeah, you're right, but I'm out with my girlfriend if we go to Like when we went to that pool at Saint Laurent, there's a twenty one and over hotel with a twenty one and over pool. We were shot. We were shott, right, But doesn't matter. You could make there need there needs to be a business. The reason why we're bringing up today is because while I was at that pool and we were talking about, oh my god, there's no kids here. This is great. You don't see this anywhere. And I'm like, and we're like, this is a perfectly successful hotel that built their foundation on no fucking kids under twenty one, and they are successful and sold out every goddamn weekend. And it was so beautiful at the pool, and we ran to these people and they're like, funny you say that. We go to Netty's Spaghetti down in Titton Falls and it's the same situation. Three years ago. They made a declaration there's no kids under ten coming here, we don't allow them in. Everyone was a big uproar over it, and here they are today, still thriving, making more money than ever before, always sold out. What I'm saying is they decided they stood on principle. They made a rule. They said we're gonna fucking we're gonna adhere to this. They didn't cave. They didn't. They didn't alter the rules. They didn't.
01:05:56
Speaker 3: Okay, so people like you hate children have some points.
01:05:59
Speaker 2: I don't hate children. That's good.
01:06:00
Speaker 3: What I'm saying is that, oh, you know what, maybe Scotty can bring his daughter's friend to dinner.
01:06:06
Speaker 2: There all the screaming, all the screaming and yelling that they did, all the protests, people put these these things online, these these campaigns to protest this and that. Whatever, you know what, it don't make a damn bit of difference. If it was a good business model to begin with it, it was a good idea, and it works for that business. Let them do their thing, and I'm glad you got them a lot of attentions. Right, Oh my god, it was all over the news a few years ago. But by looking at the drink menu, they have a drink that you might like scary. It's vodka, green apple citrus punch and Maraschino cherries. Yeah, it's called something fucking apply. Great. You can't have a ten year old looking at that menu, but you could have an eleven year old men.
01:06:50
Speaker 3: That's right, mommy, I'd like the something fucking apply.
01:06:56
Speaker 2: But it's nice. Go there.
01:06:57
Speaker 3: They have some nice pasta dishes.
01:06:58
Speaker 2: They do, they do. I've never I've never been. You could take Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Would you go there? Not a sponsored Okay, okay, great, no getting me, not getting me twenty dollar pasta. You owe me a fucking steak dinner. So yeah, I mean so, So, what I'm saying is it doesn't pay to try and protest these these things. You know, you could you could try and quote cancel them. It ain't cancelable if it was a good idea to begin with. So it was a great idea, and they get to do what they want. So, you know what, I think they're finally off their case. Anyway, enough about that shit. You want to say something before we get out here, because it's something I wanted it. Yeah, I just want to say I mentioned earlier that AI has been very helpful to me. Earlier in the episode, I told you about foot pain and my sneakers, and it's giving me advice on things. Well, I had a little problem with AI, and and and please I understand that too much. AI in the factories and the water plants. I understand them. I'm telling you it's helpful sometimes. So you know, fantasy football is starting up and I'm getting ready to start my leagues and all the players, you know, my friends and relatives that are in the leagues, and I use I'm using a helmet for many years that I got from the from the I don't know if it's the Indoor Football League, I forget, but it's the Brooklyn Bolts. It's a Brooklyn Bridge with a lightning bolt as the logo. So I took that helmet and it made it my graphic because the name of my football team has Brooklyn in the title. Sure, okay, So I'm like, oh, I got a Brooklyn helmet as my logo. But it's a black helmet with a yellow lightning bolt, and I'm not a big fan of the color black. So I said, you know what, I'm gonna take the helmet. I'm gonna upload it the chat GPT and I'm gonna have it change the helmet to blue, and I'm gonna make the Brooklyn Bridge logo that's in the helmet, even though it's brown, I'm gonna make it bricks. So it looks like the actual bridge of bricks. So I put it in chat GPT and it comes back and there's a couple of things I want change. So there's too much glare because your original helmet had glare on it, but now that it's blue, the imaginary the fake glare on the helmet is covering a little bit of the Brooking bridge is hey, can you reduce the glare now? Scary? I want you to look at the picture it gave me when I asked it to reduce the glare.
01:09:20
Speaker 3: I'm gonna hold it up. Okay, Oh you know what. I'm sorry. Let me tell you what it told me first. First, then absolutely, I'll shrink that glare so it stays a bit more to the rear, keeping it subtle and not overlapping the bridge logo. Give me one moment and I'll adjust that for you.
01:09:38
Speaker 2: Okay. So then it said so it showed me the logo. It showed me the logo I asked for, and said, we're sorry, but the prompt may violate our guardrails around nudity, sexuality, or erotic content. If you think we got it wrong, please try or edit your prompt. Hmmm, let me show you the football helmet that chat ept put into our chat and you tell me if it's the Brooklyn Bridge helmet that went from black to blue, that is the picture. What the fuck is that? It's a hot chick with all of her big tits and yeah, her cleavage is showing. I'm sorry, yes, large breasts. Let me refort. What did you not not pay your chat chept build this month? What's going on here? So so I wrote if you could see what I wrote? I wrote, seriously, what the fuck is wrong with you? And he and chat gpt wrote back, I'm really sorry. Uh, it's been so frustrating. I wanted to make a precise edit and I guess it didn't come through.
01:10:40
Speaker 3: Let me tell it, nothing like that.
01:10:42
Speaker 2: It's a picture of a woman in a car with her tits hanging out.
01:10:45
Speaker 3: Yeah, I said, there's no pictures of a hot.
01:10:48
Speaker 2: Woman with large breadths. And where's doing and by where's her? Where's that? She's not even wearing a helmet. She's not even wearing a helmet at least like thaw a helmet on her or something? Right, So then I wrote, I wrote, you're posting pictures of a hot woman with large breasts? What are you doing and the chat GPT row back. You're absolutely right, and I'm really sorry about that. I misunderstood what you needed and I didn't mean to cross any boundaries. So I saw and I said, so I said, wait a minute, Wait a minute, what do you mean you misunderstood? I asked you to remove the glare from a football helmet, and you gave me a picture of a woman with her boops hanging out, so.
01:11:27
Speaker 3: They were I completely understand.
01:11:29
Speaker 2: We're sorry, but the prompt may violate our guardrails around nudity, sexuality and ironic concord. I said, what the fuck are you talking about? I asked you to change the picture of a football helmet. What are you talking about? Godrails and sexuality? You posted the fucking picture. You violated the guardrails you put the woman up. You're absolutely right. I completely understand what you're saying. My apologies. What is this chat, GP TIMU? I mean I asked for a football helmet, you give me a woman with a boops pump and out, and I'm the problem. You're telling me I violated the guidelines. You put the picture up. I didn't put the picture up. I can't, so thank you. AI is not perfected six fingers as the problem.
01:12:14
Speaker 3: How about that?
01:12:15
Speaker 2: Imagine if I was in a ten year old kid at the pasta restaurant ordering my fucking apple teeny or whatever that thing's called, and that woman popped up. I mean, you can't try. Look, I understand you. Like it's like when you have a chat GPT write your turn paper for you. You gotta double check that. Yeah, you gotta be careful because when you ask AI to do something for you, sometimes, uh, sometimes what you get scary, Yeah, is is.
01:12:42
Speaker 6: There a subscription fee? Or what's the catch?
01:12:45
Speaker 2: What's the catch is? What's the catch? That's what you get. That almost sounded as bad as your jingles that you did with Ai. So my jingles sounded great. They were awful. Those are awful. I'm glad they never came back anyway, So I guess we're going to get out of here shortly, you know. And on a more serious note, it's something I'll of course, I'll get you angry here at a second. It'll it's the twenty no no no no, no no no, which, by the way, she passed, and of course the Morning Show, like so waiting on you scary when are you going to post the picture of you and Hayden. I did meet Hayden. I met Hayden in uh at Elton John's oscar party that I went to back in twenty ten, when Robin on that I went to Elton John's oscar watching party with Elton John.
01:13:38
Speaker 3: I remember that that was That was the night that I met.
01:13:40
Speaker 2: Benny White and I met Jeremy Piven for the first time. Yeah, and I met Hayden and she was lovely. I took a picture with her back then, and I didn't post it first time ever. I was like, you know what not even not even like what not? Didn't even want to put it in the story because I feel like it was going to be it was it was going to be perceived the wrong way, unfortunately, because now every time someone does that now you got to get called out on it. People got to send that to some of the industry folks, and then they posted on there in front of it. So I'm like, yeah, it's not the juice is not worth the squeeze, you know, I'll just but anyway, you know, I but that was not what I was going to bring up. I was talking about. I was going to talk about the twenty fifth anniversary of nine to eleven is coming up here on September eleventh, and it's hard to believe it's been twenty five years and and the and this is not just about the nine to eleven area, but that's a very sensitive area of Manhattan, but the World Trade Center site.
01:14:43
Speaker 3: And all other areas in the country.
01:14:45
Speaker 2: There's a lot of no, but there's a lot of places, not just in what I saw online. Started getting me to think about that, in several places around the world that you think of, there's a lot of sensitive areas that have like places that where there's been a little more hallow ground, whatever you want to call it, memorials, things like that. So of course I was on TikTok and what do I see? I see people doing fucking TikTok dances outside the reflect outside the reflecting pool which is at the World Trade Center site. I saw, I saw that's I don't know, it's again, why do you have to pick a place like that to do a TikTok?
01:15:35
Speaker 3: It's a beautiful park, memorial to maybe rotate yourself so that it's not behind you.
01:15:42
Speaker 2: No, no, no, they did it there purposefully because it's a tourist site, and and I think that this is not just about the nine to eleven area in the site, and well, that's that's exactly what it is. This already goes to show that this didn't happen in Now I'm looking and I'm thinking, like, wait a second, these kids weren't even alive when that happened, because we're talking about twenty five years ago. So yeah, so how can they even respect something that they don't unless they're that they don't know about, unless they're taught, unless the stories You go to the Anne Frank House or the Pearl Harbor Memorial, That's what I'm saying, or you go to any of the concentration just be respectful, be mindful. Yeah, Poland or Germany where people were slaughtered, Maybe that's not a place to do a TikTok video, right, No, no not maybe ahaps fusolutely not.
01:16:35
Speaker 3: But what's wrong with the highway?
01:16:37
Speaker 2: And you do a TikTok video where there's a cross and flowers by a tree where a car crashed and someone died, that's the same thing. It is. You go to a place that's go somewhere else that I was trying to bring it to the larger global or if you're at City Field where the Mets play, don't do a TikTok video.
01:16:53
Speaker 3: That's tragedy.
01:16:54
Speaker 2: The tragedy there too. Don't go. Yeah, but like think about the said in the areas and don't fucking do TikTok dances. Don't do that in a sense area be touching his friends his friends on yes, not right, Yeah, don't do don't do TikTok dances, said, I understand. Looksen, sometimes you know you're an assist team Chapel and you want to sneak a picture somewhere, take a picture of those three thousand people didn't die from terrorism at the Sistine Chapel. Yeah no, but no, no, but even it's a holy placed, but it's not even if you take pictures into video of the nine to eleven memorial and you want to remember that moment that you don't pull your pants down and take your picture of your mooning. Don't do a challenge. Don't do the fucking dorrito Queso challenge.
01:17:36
Speaker 3: Front slapping in the face with a flower tortilla.
01:17:38
Speaker 2: Right in front of the Pearl Harbor bombing site. You know, like that's just be mindful and about you know, you know what, we're talking to the wrong audience because our slices are of age that no one is going to do that. I don't think anyone would, you know what. But but if you have kids, fucking make sure watch what they're doing and talk some sense into them if they do stupid shit like that that pissses me off. I agree, and and just just so because we're on the same topic. It's not cold ground zero anymore a few months, and it's not the Freedom Top if we can just cover that, it's World Trade one, so show some respect with.
01:18:13
Speaker 3: The World Trade World Trade.
01:18:15
Speaker 2: Two coming soon legedly, right, are they going to build that? They're gonna build. They're not gonna build anywhere?
01:18:20
Speaker 5: Is it?
01:18:20
Speaker 2: They're done there?
01:18:21
Speaker 3: Dude, it's been twenty five years. I'm just not feilliing.
01:18:23
Speaker 2: Oh oh, but you know what is coming back is Carnegie DELI. Did you read that? I know that's huge news. Oh my god. One of the greatest delis in Manhattan history is coming back. The family wouldn't sell, they wouldn't give the recipe. This has been closed for like at fifteen to twelve, ten years whatever. Since twenty sixteen. I think they closed twenty fifteen years, eleven year, yeah, ten years, eleven years, whatever it's been. And they were like, nope, we're not giving the recipe, we're not selling it. Leave us alone. This is a family thing.
01:18:49
Speaker 3: And people are like, well, how could you not lease sell the restaurant to somebody.
01:18:52
Speaker 2: This is a place that was open in nineteen thirty seven, has been there forever. And they make corn beef pastrami sandwich. Is like Catses Deli, which we talk about, and it's the famous line and the Adam Sala song Guess who eats together at the Carnegie Deli Bowser from SHAWNAA and Arthur Fonzarelli. So come on now, you know that's two eats together. But they don't get there anymore. They have it for years. I cried to day that place closed, because that's just another one of those slices of Americana and New York American institutions that close. Moving into a place that used to be a famous New York deli, the Stage Deli, which was their competitor, they moved exit stage right, Org sergeants of Stage. No, No, they're moving into the competitors. They're moving. They're moving into their competitors Space, which is hilarious. But anyway, Yeah, that they got the original sign. I saw they paussed it off. They put it up. By the way, this better not be a joke or a pop up. This better be permanent.
01:19:52
Speaker 3: No, it's a real restaurant.
01:19:53
Speaker 2: I can't wait.
01:19:53
Speaker 3: It's really coming back. So Brody, we'll go.
01:19:58
Speaker 2: You a brisket dinner by No, I want corn beefstrawmi combo. I want the Broadway Danny Rose. That's that was my saying that. Okay, so that that's a lieu of the steak.
01:20:08
Speaker 3: No, it's not. It's a welcome back to New York dinner with two guys going out. That's all. Thank you. And you're gonna have to use this scary Jones name to get us in there.
01:20:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll figure it out.
01:20:20
Speaker 3: We'll have to bring food up to the morning show.
01:20:24
Speaker 5: Boys, boys,
Speaker 1: Start Up, dot Up, start Up, Brooklyn Boy, start Up, Brooklyn Boys, start up, up Up, They making noise, dot up, start up Up, dot.
