Speaker 1: Starduf, dat Up, start Up, Brooklyn buys start Up, Brooklyn buys start Data. They making noise data up. Episode one of the Brooklyn Boys podcast in Quarantine. Yeah, another one, another one. A lot of people and a lot of these shows. They always add the words at home, like you know, Jimmy Jimmy Fallon at home, SNL at home tonight, the Last Doctor Oz at Home. Well, then shouldn't we do this as the Brooklyn Boys at Homes? Yeah? I think we should add at home to our title. I also think that that plays the sympathy card where two different homes though, so it should be at homes or you and I are both at home? Yeah, that way all right, But then it sounds boys at home. But then it sounds like we lived together, doesn't it, Yester think against me? No, I just we don't live together. So it's at homes. But then it sounds like, oh, but then it sounds like we have multiple homes or does it sound like it sounds it sound like street slang like what's up homes? Brooklyn Boys at homes? Yeah, I know if that sounds that sounds worse. That's now it's the Brooklyn Boys at home and people can draw their own conclusion. Should we put like parentheses, they're at each other's they're there, they're at their own homes. The title is already too long. See, we're screwed up. That's why we'll never be a success, Brodie, That's why. It's because we're putting parentheses and punctuation and proper things in the title, like we have to have I mean, Mr Grammar Nazi over here. But I'm gonna listen. I'm with you with the grammar too. Some the most successful songs ever written had parentheses in the title. Had some of the most successful songs ever have bad grammar in them. I mean I would imagine that most of them do. By the way, um so uh. One of the groups my wife isn't on Facebook is like a town you know, everybody in the town joins it, and a town Facebook. Yeah. Like like, let's say you lived in um Oshkosh, Wisconsin. You joined the Oshkosh Facebook group and everyone in your town part of the Brooklyn's in the House Facebook group? Are you? I was a part of a couple of um groups from our old neighborhood, and I found the politics to be so offensive I had to get out. I had to get out. I'm also I had to Facebook called when Am Radio ruled the world. It's a bunch of radio geeks posting black and white pictures of old radio boards and audio consoles and studios from the nineteen fifties, sixties, and seventies. It's hilarious. Yeah, I'm not doing that. Anyway. As I was saying so, uh, one of the people in the room went on, now, keep in mind, this is Facebook, went on, this is group. This is Facebook group my wife belongs to. In the house anyway, a woman went on a rant that had to be about fifteen paragraphs about the current situation we're in pandemic wise and quarantine wise. And it isn't important as to what she was ranting about, although I found her rants to be quite absurd. But one of my daughters was reading it because we found it so amusing, and my daughter was doing an amazing presentation over the top, acting it out. It was great. But the woman in this rant, she's talking about I don't a bunch of things I disagreed with, but I didn't say anything because my daughter was on a roll. And then the woman, the woman in the rant says and it seems like a nightmare and never ending groundhogs Day. And so in the middle of my daughter reading this fifteen paragraph rant, I said, I gotta stop you there for a second. It's groundhog Day. So that just shows you I can't turn it off. I would they said ground hugs ground hogs Day. It's called groundhogs if they said ground hugs Day, like they're hugging the ground. No, No, it's groundhog Day, but it is groundhog Day. A lot of people get that wrong. I'm not surprised. I'm just most of America would say Groundhog's Day, but I know it's groundhog right. But my point was I was correcting my daughter reading someone else, so I don't even know's rant as if it mattered. But I felt like I didn't want anyone in my family to ever say groundhog's Day. So I said I have to stop you there. Tell I said right back to that woman immediately and let her know it's ground hog Day. And my family turned to me and said, out of that fifteen paragraph rant, that's what you got out of it, Like, well, no, I got everything else out of it. She's a crazy woman. But she also wrote ground hogs Day and that bothered me more. Didn't Bill Murray teach us anything. Oh what a great movie, Groundhog Day. They say it a zillion times in the film. That's right, that's right. You pay attention, You actually learned things, and you could correct yourself in life. Well, people attention to this podcast, which is why we bring stuff up, and they're often very appreciative of the stuff that we the knowledge we impart them and the stupidity. I don't want to make it sound like what we do is is grabbing police. It's a lot of stupidity. But I do want between in between the serious stuff. But we're not serious. I do want to I do want to give an educational a little tip to our our listeners. One of them your pants, Oh boy, I do have knowledge even down there. Anyway, one of our listeners complained to me, But okay, you didn't complain anyway. One of our listeners complained to me in the d M, which we get a lot that we tell people to listen in order to the podcasts. Yet the I Heart Radio app goes in reverse order, so it'll play episode forty two, and then it'll play episode forty one. Next it goes it goes down the list rather than up. So I said, you know what, I've complained many times times. It's ridiculous. So I reached out to our pal Rob and I Heeart Radio, and I said, hey, Rob, he's a screenshot of a d M I just got. When are we getting that update? You promised the update a year ago? So he says, what are you talking about. We we made that update like almost a year ago at this point, like, what are you talking about? People still Maybe somebody forgot to hit send, so he I said, I don't see that option. Also, my other complaint is that we don't get notifications of new podcasts until Monday morning. But Scary and Eye and my Walkers and Talkers we post on Wednesday or Thursday, and so it's of no value to wait until Monday to tell people. He said, no, they go out immediately. I said, that's that's not the case. I don't get updates immediately, and you don't have to tweet me. I know that there's a problem anyway. So he said, as far as listening in order, we took your suggestion and we put that in. So I said, I don't I don't have that. Where do I find that. So he sent me a screenshot and I said that must be an iPhone. I don't I have Android. Maybe you'll do it for Android. He says, no, this is the screenshot of an Android. He knows evan Android. I said, I don't see that. He says, well, what version of I Heeart are you on? I said eight point eight. He said, we're already up to nine point one. You didn't know, he said, well, he said, well, my phone updates, but not that app. So I have three phones. I have a work phone that I got years ago, I have the phone I used before this phone, and you have your burner phone. I don't have a burner phone. Dude. Nice try. So I turned them all on and I noticed, and I've used them. I used them all for different reasons in the past month or two. None of them have updated to nine point one. On I Heart Radio when nine point oh something whatever it was in the nights. So I said, well, none of them updated. He goes, well, that's weird. They should have updated. So first of all, I'm telling everyone who has especially Android, check your version of I Heart Radio. Go to the settings key and then the little little gear and you should be able to find your about about I heard or one of the settings depends on what version you're on, it's a different places and find out which version of I Heart Radio you're on. So when I upgraded to nine point whatever, when you look at the list of your podcasts, there's a little up arrow and down arrow next to each other. Yeah, and when you click that, it will then put the podcasts in reverse order, starting at episode one at the top and the newest one on the bottom, and then it will play in the correct order. But so, so, first of all, you're welcome. But here's the problem I saw immediately, which I immediately wrote back and complained and said they got to fix it. Of course, because they they I don't know, they never test. Is there a test group? Did they ask anybody's opinion? There are a podcast with hundreds of episodes. For instance, our channel has a hundred and forty seven episodes I think of the off air show, your old podcast, and then a hundred and twenty seven episodes of hours if you include the zero episode, not including the one you're listening to, no end, So they're they're starting with you a fair show episode, right. So when you hit reverse, you then have to scroll down. How do you want the layout, because you can't have it both ways. You can, yes, you can. You leave it with the latest episode at the top, but you tell the mechanism to go up. That's that's how you have it the right way. Otherwise, if you have a podcast with three hundred episodes, this is all you know. My point is people are gonna complain. So I'm letting you know I feel your pain if you want to listen to people. Okay, well, okay, so scary every time you open the app you have to scroll down three d episodes to get to the one you want. That's not that they should play in order. Okay, So I see what you're saying, So that for the recent one should play and then go back to number zero, which is not enough. Zero is not a number. No, I'm saying, let's say our newest episode is Yes, I'm saying, regardless of which direction you want to go in, should alway right op. Okay, So if you understood, if you go to you only scrolled down a few episodes, That's what I'm saying. This is all stuff that could be handled in emails behind the scenes. But I'm glad we brought it to everybody. The reason, Okay, I know you don't care about our listeners. The reason I bring it up, No, I do care. I know. Don't say that. I don't say that. I just don't want you tell me. I only have a half hour to record today and we have eleven things to talk about, and we're spending ten minutes on this. Okay. The reason I spent the time is that if I just tell people update your app and then you can listen in order, they're gonna be annoyed and say, oh, this sucks, Brody, why is this this way? I'm letting you guys know now it's this way, and I am aware of it, and I've already issued a complaint to I Heart that's all. You are the biggest cheerleader for all things I Heart Radio and correcting there, and I listen to and and correcting listen. I've been a Beata. I've been a beta tested for I Heart Radio since two thousands. You are the master Beata that's correct. Thank you. Now we have In the meantime, while you were doing all that, I was getting our Brooklyn Boys podcast on other platforms which people might want to hear about. So as you know, we're on the heart Radio app, iTunes, Spotify, Pandora, Google Play, all those we're also now on. We're on cast box and Stitcher, which I know we're on both of those, but we've added pod Chaser. A lot of pod A lot of people go to pod Chaser. Google podcast. We've always been on Google podcast and for some but for some reason, we're not on podcast podcast addict or Deezer. Okay, now, all the deser people, but the thing is all your friends everywhere on podcast is okay, So we not want distribution in full totality. You just criticize me for taking time to let people know who currently listen on I heart Radio, our company's app, that you said I spent too much time in enlightening them on how point Spotify. It doesn't matter. We still get the clicks. You are now telling people who are already hearing our podcast, who already have a way of hearing our podcast, that there are ways they will never listen to that they can now listen on they don't like the function is if they don't like the function, so you're driving people away from my heart Radio. Yeah, well until it's fixed. If people if that much, you know this shows people that much, listen to another portal. You know what, you know what this reminds me of. This reminds me of the guy who from our company signed a contract that our medical benefits had we had to go to Walgreens. Then left the company and went to go work for Walgreens. So look for Scary Jones to be working for Deezer soon so he can reap the benefits of this. This is what you spent your time doing. You don't even know what is exactly. Hey, hey, hey, guess what. Hey, all of you slices, half of our audies didn't know what tight TikTok was. I took to school, so DC now mothers on TikTok. Hey remember that episode and that entire week where the Big show and you and everybody chastised me. Yeah, I love using new word chastise. And I realized that, and that's fine, and I'll continue to use it. Who's the perfect word, but to describe my situation, change your change your name at Deezer Jones. Yeah, everybody tweet him TikTok. So that's the kid's apple. Oh my god, you're a creeper on that thing. Now, who's having the last last hold on. It was just I was just a month ahead of the curve. Hold on everybody, everyone's mother and grandmother, they're all on hold on everybody's warrantine. Everybody's mother is filming videos with their fifteen year old daughters on TikTok. The grandma's not on accounts. Okay, yeah, she will be the second of all. Your analogy is terrible because your ticktome mother might be on the grandfather clock. Okay, that's the whole other one. No, her pacemakers on TikTok. Okay, So your problem is TikTok is a new platform. TikTok isn't another way to watch Snapchat videos, right, TikTok is its own unique thing. No, no, no, no no. You are suggesting ways for our audience that currently already listens on I Heart Radio or iTunes or Spotify, the Big three or Google Play the Big four to go look for something called Deezer. I don't even know if the Big five. Oh, now you're gonna mention Pandora. Are you trying to make us unemployed? Are you trying to put us on? It doesn't matter. You can, you can, you can listen to us anywhere you get your podcast. But I Heart Radios. I Heart Radio pays our bills. If that division does well, the company does well, so radio, right, and but we're paid for by I Heart Radio. I'm not saying not to listen on I Heart Radio, but I'm saying, Okay, if you're having issues listening to the plot, Okay, so they go, they go one fixes the problem for you. They go on iTunes and give us five stars, go on Spotify, right, and that that's fine, But don't want to make Spotify's top two hundred list. We're not on that. We and we haven't. We haven't been on iTunes list in a year and a half. Okay, but can again continue listening on I Heart Radio because that's how we make the top one hundred list. D Please, I don't. I can't get a job. It doesn't really if I have conversation, does anyone even want to listen anymore? Hey, slices, If you have a friend who has some kind of technological ineptitude that doesn't have I Heart Radio, iTunes or Spotify and is looking for some other way in their in their emergency nuclear fallout shelter in Montana and the only app they have is Deezer. Would you please let them know that they can now listen to a podcasts are nuts, Brodie. I would imagine anyone that only gets Deezer isn't interested in to idiots from Brooklyn. That's what I'm thinking. Hey, Mom, know that I just downloaded Deezer. Yeah, now that's Geezer, right, That's what I was thinking. I'm very cranky, Brodie. I have no dessert in my house. Why is that? Because all I have left are the only thing sweet and my refrigerator are organic dates or dates. Just their heads, just their heads. These these girls you've gone out with the oversized, wrinkled they look like that. I saw you did I just steamrolled over it. I gave you the obvious set up. Yeah, okay, so yeah, so organic dates is my refrigerator right now, and I'm I'm going out of my mind. Well, my favorite Chinese restaurant closed in the second week of March, maybe third week of March, so that I have not had my favorite Chinese food in well over a month. And so I called them. I left them a nice voicemail wishing them luck and hoping they will reopen soon. And I happen to be driving by over the weekend, and I noticed there's a sign taped to the window, to the glass of the door, not the window, the glass of the door, and it says reopening on Wednesday, May six, temporary hours every day eleven to eight pm. I yelled so loudly, so excitedly. I'm glad it was late at night that no one was around in this little strip mall when my Chinese restaurant is. But I was so excited. It's the little things during quarantine that makes you excited. So my good friends who know me as David no vegetables, I'm coming back, baby, I'm on my way from my roast Pokolamino vegetables. Well, I gotta say, then shout out to a restaurant, uh slash takeout in Brooklyn, uh Panino Rustico. Listen to what they're doing. I saw this on Instagram about an hour ago as we transition back to life as we loved it, Panino Rustico of Bensonhurst. By the way, I've never been there and this is not a sponsor. We'll be offering outdoor eating. Get this. See our standing dining tables. All food will be wrapped to go and the tables will be available on a first come and casual basis. This is just a small start in our steps towards bringing our favorite restaurant back while working in alignment with all state and city guidelines. So they now have these outdoor like you know when you go to a pizzeria and they have the indoor city sit at the shelf, you sit on a shelf. The window pictures that but on the outside of the window looking in. So they have these like shelves built so there's standing room only so you can go in, you can take your food out, and then you can eat outside socially distant from one another. So they're making these efforts that these little workarounds. So shout outs to them, shouts out or yes, a shout out to them about that. Well, I have a problem with the outdoor eating philosophy. While I get you can socially distanced, right, and I get that in theory it's a healthier, safer way to eat rather than indoor restaurant where the where the air circulates, right, Because it's been shown that being indoors with an air condition that circles circles the air around is not safe. But if you're sitting six ft away from another table, Right, you're at a safe distance. Right, Let's say someone at that table sneezes, and your outdoors and it's windy. Won't the wind carry it further than six ft? Aren't you more likely to get to get the wind blowing at you? Or does it dissipate as it fades into the wind and it blends in with the rest of the air. I don't know. We don't know the answer to these questions. We're not the scientists. But I but I what I watched a documentary on on the news where they showed you know, infrared or whatever whatever the technology is that shows air traveling, and they showed somebody sneeze and they said, with with the right wind gost it could go ten to fifteen ft. So why would I? Why would I want to sit at the table well six ft away from somebody? Regardless, A lot of towns are doing what Hoboken is doing, and this is they're expanding their sidewalks where they normally wouldn't give out permits for eating outside because restaurants need permits to have outdoor seating, and they're actually not only extending out onto the sidewalk without a permit, but maybe even into the street and closing the street to vehicular traffic. So there's and they're doing that ignit in New York City as well, I believe, but Hoboken is gonna start experimenting with it. In fact, right now, they've done a close to vehicular traffic street as we speak, this entire weekend as a test run, like a pilot program. So you're gonna start seeing restaurants trying to make up for the the capacity problem where they need x amount of people to eat in order to make money that night. Um, and that's going to be the solution is expanding outward to the outside and hopefully it'll be warm enough and they'll they'll recoup some of their profits by having people spread out. That is what I'm hearing in the biz. I understand why they're doing it. I'm saying for me, I'm not doing it. You're not safe. I don't feel safe. Okay, yeah, I'll do I'll do the delivery thing. I do pick up a delivery all the time, like it's great, fantastic. I'm supporting local businesses left and right. In fact, I'm come over and have some of my, um my, my, your dates. My meat loaf question. I don't actually I don't need blue cheese, blue cheese. This is a classic meat loaf. But my question is this, I did this this on camera. Get the jingle ready, Get the jingle ready. I know you. You did a post the other day on Instagram. You mentioned four different sponsors in one meal. So stop, I'm telling you out, don't do it. You mentioned, you mentioned, you mentioned the company that made that I did a meat ball. I made him I made. You mentioned the sauce company, you mentioned the you mentioned the oven company, You mentioned the live I did an I g live hold on and I made meat balls. Me try and get around this without mentioning the sponsor. So I made the meat balls on camera. You did, and I had left over hold On apparently paid for the camera. You mentioned the camera company because of the time, I only made eight meat balls, and then the rest of the chopped meat was just sitting there. We call it chopped meat. You might call it ground beef, ground beef, and pork mixed. It's short for chopped meat, chopped meat. But we we take letters off. We're lazy. We're from Brooklyn. Chop chopped meat, so I had left over. So I formed it into the mold of a meat loaf. I'm like, this is gonna make a great future meat loaf. And I put it in a glass dish, covered it with saran wrap, put it in the in my refrigerator. I left it there and it's been there since Monday. But it's prepared already. It already has like the the raw egg in it, the onion, it's been mixed around. The meat is not just meat. It's meat that's been fixed. And we see fixed. You got all the spices in it. They were ready. They were the next step was ready to to roll a meat ball put into the pan. When you said that we said the meat was fixed, I thought you might cut its balls off, right, But well I kind of did because I didn't make all's out of that meat. That meat is in the formation of a meat loaf. So my question you is here we are on Saturday, five days later. Is it okay to put it in the oven and and just cook it because it's raw? Yes? Yeah, I would eat Well, that's why you would cook. It's scary because it's raw. Well, No, I wanted to make the distinction. I didn't put it in the oven then, and it's not just like left over cold. What I'm saying is it was fixed meat with and everything, but refrigerated and it's been there ever since. Ran out over it later, my girlfriend's telling me out. Okay, So I think we had this conversation on the air earlier this week about men versus women. Um, my wife, your girlfriend, everybody's mother will tell you, after two or three days, get rid of it. I would tell you that the Good Lord who bestowed upon us cows and bulls, yeah, we also bestowed upon us the smell test. And and if it's not by right or slick feeling and smells fine, I would cook it. It's ready, I would cook it. And then you could always have your friends Sam and Ella come over for dinner if all goes wrong, but when you let them taste it first, Yeah, Samon Ella will come over, Sam, Samonella. Yeah, I see what you did. It took you three times, Sam, and you've just given me the confidence. Right, And when you cook. At podcast is over, I'm gonna rip off that seram rat pour that Rao's homemade over and throw it in the hit the jingle, hit the jingle you so you can't help yourself. You cannot help yourself. How you do it to get a rise out of you? Okay? Is that your new thing? Now? I only mentioned the sponsor to get a rise? Is that your new angle? By the way, I did have rayo I did. They don't sponsor me, by the way, They're not my sponsor. If Yo's wants to sponsor this podcast, that'd be nice. However, I did have Rayo's this morning for breakfast, and uh that we had. I woke up at noon, so it was really breakfast. We had one turkey sausage left over, and so I chopped it up and I poured some Yo's homemade regular flavor over the top. I like the regular flavor a lot. Again, it's not a sponsor of mine, but the Arabbiata and the vodka and my two favorites. And I'm staring at I'm staring at the rabbiata right now. Oh my god, so good? Um. And then no, actually no, if you ever want to come up here to pick up your scrubs, I'll throw a jar of it. And they also does also have a Fra diavlo right, they do the Fra diavlo is part of the rabbiata. No, there's two different A lot of sauce companies have too. This one's just a rabbiata for fraud diavlos. It says it on the bottom. Okay, they're both on the same label. Okay, so fra diavlo is a dish. But there's there's a I'm not going to mention the other sauce company because I don't want to fame, but there's another sauce company that hasn't right, it's used for fraud, right, But there are some sauce companies that have both because one has yeah, one has more peppers and onions in it or whatever. So I need a mop. I just salivated all over the floor. That sounds so good right now? Okay, Um, I've got a lot, a lot of little stuff to throw out, as do I have a have a piece of sound. I know you've got some sound. I got some sound. We could do a sound segment. Um, this this podcast is gonna be a little shorter than normal, and we apologize. It's already long. It's already like twenty five minutes. Yeah, so it's just it's not gonna be an hour and a half. UM, So I'm gonna gonna tease a couple of things. I'm gonna tease. We have a man who works in TV who loves our podcast, who offered to slip us into a broadcast. We'll talk about that. I had a run in with Instagram porn I wanted to share with you. Uh, And I have a problem, well, I've had problems at Walgreens and CVS. Oh you know what I can I I want to quickly tell you I have a problem with the TUSI slide, which we'll talk about. And I have an update on my p of Chang's experience that I told you about last episode. You know, I love what um. Teasing is only necessary in radio and not on podcast because people could just scroll ahead. I'm no, I'm not teasing ahead to keep you listening. That's what they do in or you tease a head so you can't change the dial. I'm teasing it so I don't forget, and that you remember to remind me. Is I want to hear. I want to hear your sound and then my sound sound. Well, let's play your piece of sound first. Okay, we'll be right back, all right, I like that we went to commercial before your thing because last week, well we're just gonna group all the sound together. No, but last week you you blatantly went to commercial as I was talking. So this time was better. Thank you, oh you, thank you yeah for not cutting me off? Thank you? All right? What do you got? Sound? Was? So this is very simple. Donny Osmond and someone else from the seventies, and I don't know who she was, co hosted an infomercial which you've probably seen or maybe not, or some form of it. It wasn't his sister Marie. It was not Marie. It was Donnie Osmond and someone else and they were reminiscent about the good old times, and they tried to get you to buy this eight CD set. It was a time life treasury of you know of and D's pop hits. It was I forgot the name of it. It's actually had a funky name. Did you see uh, Donnie Osmond on the Disney sing along a couple of weeks ago with his grandkids. That's tell that quick. So my family was singing along. Is another one on Mother's Day night. Whenever you're hearing this, there's another one on Mother's Day Night on. I guess it's ABC because that's Disney owns ABC. Um. And so they show celebrities singing the great hits of Disney, the great songs, and in one of them, Donny Osmond I think, did a song from Mulan with his grandkids. Now Donny Osmond and his sister Marie and his whole Osmond family. I think it was like nine kids or whatever. It doesn't matter, don't tweet me. He was a lot of them. They had a TV show, The Osmond's, and then Donnie Marie had their own show. They were huge celebrities in the seventies and eighties and they're still performing and doing musical shows and things. So Donny Osmond was on with his grandkids and it was hilarious because grandkids are excuse me, grandkids like three years old, two years old singing. It was fantastic. So it's good that. UM. Oh, by the way, this Time Life commercial you're about to play, I'm looking it on YouTube. It looks like it's from well, this is kay whatever it is. The name of the collection is called Pop Goes to Seventies and it's a CD. It's the eight C D set you get and then they throw the you know, the extra but wait, there's more. They throw two extra ones in luck. They weren't going to do that you know before. It's just a tactic scamboni. Listen to this, Listen to what he said. Tell me what's wrong with this? It's amazing to hear all these hits again. So many of these songs just aren't played on the radio anymore. Do you want to find them? Good luck searching online or at a record store if you find one of those. Okay, now, did you hear what he said? Good luck finding a record store? No, right before that, listen, I just want to listen. Listen again. It's amazing to hear all these hits again. So many of these songs just aren't playing on the radio anymore. How did you want to find them? Good luck searching online? You love a body, good luck finding them online. These infomercials, they're set up in a way where they create a problem and then a solution. The solution is always to buy their ship, no matter what they're peddling. But they have to create a problem. You've seen infomercials like this before, for the of glove right, where maybe you were taking those muffins out of the oven and they show a woman stumbling where she takes the fucking pan and the tray falls all over the floor because oh my god, I burned myself, like these exaggerated bullshit moments that they're trying to create in your head, like, oh my god, I don't want that problem. Well, he's trying to do this here and Pop goes to seventies good luck luck finding them on? Good luck find them online? Well, like, I'm sorry, can no one just google ship because I guarantee you I could find every one of those motherfucking songs on. I don't need his eight c D set. My guess is his audience watching that infomercial By the way, Uh, what were you watching? It was me TV? Hold on found it? You found it already. I found She's a Lady by Tom Jones. That was hard. But my guess is his audience is so old like you who couldn't find it online? Or he means you wouldn't be able to find uh an album version or a CD version, which is also a lie. You can find any I'll tell you a quick story speaking of this, they're part of if they're part of that compilation, they're part of several compilations because the artist already sold it out and said, you know what, this song is for sale and they so, so, Donny Osmond, don't you try and fucking bulldoze me into bind your eight C D set. He's a Mormon. Don't those people not lie? Isn't that one of the good luck good luck finding online? I'll tell you anything. The internet has every hold on. So two thousand one, right, nineteen years ago, you would say the internet is not was not in two thousand one what it is today? Correct? Yeah? Okay, So my my father was telling me a story in two thousand one about a record his grandparents used to play. Uh, and then he had they had one record or something and and the basement when he would go over there to play, they had a record and he would play it and it was some old song. It had to be from the thirties, right, because he was a kid in the forties and and fifties, and so it was. It was a seventy eight. Now, if you don't know what a seventy eight is, I mean seventy eight RPMs. It means the record spin seventy eight times a minute. So it wasn't a thirty three, which is album size, and it wasn't a forty five, which is the single size. It was somewhere in the middle right. It was like medium size, but it was called a seventy eight and it was very thick. And he said, I wish I could find that song. I wish there was some way, but I've called record stores and nobody has it. And I've always wanted to hear that song again. I haven't heard it since I was a child. I said, hold on. I went on eBay and it with three copies of it on sale for like two dollars, and I bought. I bought it for him and he had it within a week ship to his house. So in two thousand one, Donny Osmond, you could find anything online. This this video was from two thousand nineteen. But he's been lying all along. You know where you can find all of the hits from the seventies on Deezer. If des got it, you can get in. That's a call to roll over my eyes there, Donnie, seriously, all right, it wasn't okay, I'll stop right there. No, you don't have to stop. I think it's a great it's it's a great clip. That's that's it's fantastic you picked up on that. I love that. I like that you're bringing sound to the table. I like that how to rewind TV for that unbelievable. Now, and there's a clip here that says books. Okay, So there's a commercial running for UM. It's like a book of the Month club. Right. This little girl who's supposed to sound very, very intelligent in the commercial is talking about how she likes a certain type of book, right, but her mom keeps buying her the wrong genre of book, even though she keeps telling her mother what the right genre is. So in her mother's day, I want to play this clip. Listen to it, and then I want to discuss it and play it again. So play the clip of this little girl talking about this book service and why it's more important than her mother. My mom is the best, but I have a problem. She's not the greatest step picking out books for me, no matter how many times I tell them into science fiction. She brings home books about vampires and werewolves. I'm like, Mom, that's supernatural, not science fiction. The difference is obvious. And now that I'm more I need a literary subscription more than ever. Okay, first of all, she says she talks. It sounds like she's talking other sire for mouse, shang vampire. You know she's got that uh I like science fiction, like she's got popeye mouth. But that's not the point. Yes, she's got that same inflection. I like vampire, I don't like science fiction. So my problem is she's like, my mother's great and all, but she's stupid, is basically what she's saying. Because she tells her mother I like science fiction. Right, then the mom goes out and gets her Vampire and Werewolf books. First of all, did her mom have to order the books from Donny Osmond or did she find them online? That's my first question. Second of all, if you go to a bookstore right, or or even if you go on Amazon, it usually tells you the genre, right, you would search for science fiction. So I'm not sure how you would end up with Vampire and Werewolf books, which are not science fiction. But let's just say she accidentally bought them. Once her daughter says to her mom, these aren't what I like. I like sci fi books, science fiction, spaceships and and and robot whatever whatever. You know. Okay, things involving science, okay, which, by the way, I would I would say to you Frankenstein might be considered science and a monster because it's he uses science to create the Frankenstein monster, which, by the way, it's Dr Frankenstein. But the monster is Frankenstein's monster. Everybody knows that, right, Okay, So my point is, how dumb is the mother that once the daughter tells her I don't read vampire books and werewolf books, she goes out and buys more of them. How dumb is the mother? Listen to the commercial again. She loves her mother, but she's calling her oflf for being an idiot. My mom is the best, but I have a problem. She's not the greatest step picking out books for me, no matter how many times I tell them, into science fiction. She brings home books about vampires and werewolves. No matter how many times I tell my mother, she continues to buy werewolf books and vampire books. The dumb bitch. Her mother must be a She's like I listen to the beginning of commercial. I love my mother, she's the best, but that's like she's not really the best, Like she's good at all. She cooks dinner for me, but she's an imbecile. That's what the kid is saying. She's like I read hearing her in that commercial, she's like, my mother's great and all she makes my bad. She she cleans my butt when I can't get it, you know, she she does my laundry. But she's a fucking moron. Mom, I will buy me a science fiction book. He's your book about werewolves? Honey, Oh, Mom, you're the best. Mom has to be mentally deficient in some way to continuously go to the store and buy werewolf and vampire books and somehow find them in the science fiction section repeatedly, not just once. She didn't say my mother made a mistake. This little girl has to pay out of her own pocket and buy a subscription service to get science fiction books because her mother is too stupid to go to the store and ask somebody, excuse me, what is the science fiction book? And how do I it's just a book that doesn't have werewolves or vampires in it. Think about it. I know, I'm telling you. The way these scripts are written, the people must have been high. And how does a woman how does a woman that's stupid have a child that's smart? And where and and where is the father? Did the father leave because the mother is so stupid? Is the father's Is the father so brilliant that his brilliance overwhelmed the stupidity of the mother and the daughter came out smart. Did the father hit the mother over the head with a frying pan? And now he's in jail and she's left to raise this child. And if she's this stupid, should she be raising a child on her own? Should she be trusted with like fire around the child? No matter how many times I tell my mother not to wash my face with fire, that I prefer water and soap, she washes my face with fire. I mean, is that what it's come to? Should this woman be allowed to have to have custody of a child? Play the commercial? Play it one last time. My mom is the best. He's not the greatest. Step picking up clearly, no matter how many times I tell him. Into science fiction? She brings home books about vampires and werewolves. Is it possible the mother is a vampire or a werewolf and she's trying to desensitize her kid to them and be like, listen, I want you to read up on it, because you're going to turn into one someday, what's the explanations? The second stupidest thing I've heard on radio all week. The first thing is this next clip. This is definitely the dumbest thing I've heard all week. Now. I know she's reading from a teleprompter, right, but the woman on the news is talking about how many people have recovered from COVID nineteen and I think it probably goes without saying that. She's right. Let's hear her her factual numbers on the news. Let's go now to the the latest facts in the coronavirus pandemic. More than one people have recovered from the virus world Why this according to data from Johns Hopkins. Wow, okay, thanks Johns Hopkins. Okay, So Johnson Jenkins is one of the greatest colleges research institutions in America, and their research has shown that more than one people have recovered. Clip. So that clip right there is exactly why I don't watch the news because here's why. Here's why. Because she was reading directly off of a teleprompter and the teleprompter person who loaded the script in forgot to write the word million next to once, and she is like she legit is fucking ron Burgundy. She is like reading everything off the script. You know, I would go so far as to say that the person who entered that teleprompter script is the mother of that girl. That's that's possible. Now the good thing is on the screen, and I posted the video, and that's dangerous. This is awful. She's clearly it was one million, and they forgot to write on the on the teleprompter. But but you're just gonna read it that way. You're not even processing the ship. You're fucking saying. You're looking at the camera and you're reading words. But if it's not making sense to you, you should correct yourself on the spot. Don't just be a fucking talking head. But I don't think I don't think she. I don't think she realized she made the mistake. But luckily on the screen it had the right amount. Luckily on the screen it said of whatever, whatever the amount was, I don't don't just the amount. That bothers me for other reasons. I'm glad you brought it though. That's where was that. It doesn't matter where I don't remember. Let me say, I see if I have the video on my phone, and I'll tell you what the right total was that she didn't read here. It is here, it is hold on. So anyway, this is this is what hold on. It's more than one million people, so on screen it said more than one millions. But the thing is, but that's not a reason not to trust the new Yeah, but she brain fart and she read it, and you know, over the person mistyped it or he he hit control Z and undid something. You know, I don't. I don't think that, you know. I'm just saying that was hilarious, is my point. That's my point. Um Um, you know, can I send that? Can I send the shout out real quick? You could send several after all, this is the Brooklyn Boys podcast. I want to send a shout out to Joe's Stone Crab because they were sold out for Mother's Day and I had contacted them on Monday. I'm about to hit the jingle on you bitch. Nope, nope, not a sponsor, not a sponsor. And they're friends of ours. They've always sent product to the radio station. We've they've always advertised good friends with us for many years. And I spoke to them, uh and I said, hey, like to place in order for Mother's Day and they said, hey, you know, we're family, will will fit you in. Not a problem. The hooked it up. So I got the box yesterday. I'm gonna post pictures later today of the greatest stone crab legs and um. They threw in a few extra claws for me, which was very nice. I just wanted to you do when you do the right thing, I just want to say, throw in a couple of extra I want to say thank you to Joe's Stone Crab in Florida for hooking a brother up and making sure that my wife and mom for Mother's Day got there. Joe's Stone Crab Legs. They were craving and fiending. Uh So there you go. M It reminds me of when you go to like a Mom and pop. You go to like a deli or some sandwich shop or something place that you go in all the time. At the end, they throw in a loaf of bread. They take some bread. You have a loaf. Well, I'm gonna shout out, but at least it was I'm gonna shout out Toronto's Pizza in New Jersey, Toronto's Toronto's Pizza. There are a pizza place that's uh in an area that I travel occasionally, and uh, when I go there a few times, there have been problems, not major problems, but they're just very busy. The order wasn't ready because they were swamped, like on Valentine's Day. And they sell an upside down slice that is basically an elm b's copycat slice, and it's about seventy eight percent as good as elm B's. It's really good. It's just not exact. So they did they do right by you, Valentine on Valentine's Day. They was so busy. While I was waiting, I said, Hey, you know what, while I'm waiting, I'm gonna grab a Can I get with the upside down slice? Now? He he. I talked to him before he knows I'm from Brooklyn and he said, yeah, no problem. And when I went to pay for he goes, it's on me, thanks for waiting. I'm like, this guy's a good this guy's a good guy. Well, I went to pick up food during the quarantine at the same time. I think I mentioned this when um was it pandemic Pete the guy that kept coming close to me? Yes, right, I think it was. It was a COVID Kenny. It was one of those guys we kept like trying to close talk me outside the pizza place, and so as I was waiting for my pizza again, he said, hey, can I get your slice while you're waiting? And he hooked me up with an upset On slice. So at this point I have never paid for an upset Own slice. I get it for free all the time. So he's the kind of guy the owner there that I that I will I will always support because he does the right thing and because you, yeah, you like. These are the people you build lifelong relationships with. If you go to a bar, your local bar, you know that your yeah well also, or they'll put those shot glasses turned upside down in front of each person to say the next round is on me? What you want shot? Or also shove that that's that's a good that's a good feeling. Shout out you. Shout out to the general manager of p F. Chang's. And I'll tell you why. Last week I told you that they refunded my money and they had to credit my gift card. They owed me twenty five dollars back on a gift card and they said to call the next day and speak to the general manager and he will arrange mailing it to me. Okay, So I called the next day, which was last last week, at some point and um he said, you know what, I don't have five dollar gift cards. I only have two tens. I said, well, that's fine, send me to two tens. He said, no, I don't feel right about that. I feel like you should get the full he said, So I can send you to two tens and you can have my word that I will at some point have a five dollar gift card and send it to you. I said, no, I trust you. That's fine, I said. Jokingly, I said, well, what if you leave the company? Ha ha? I said, couldn't you just leave a note in the manager's office? And he laughed and he said, you know what, I'm gonna do you one better. You're really a good guy, meaning me, and I know he had a great problem. And by the way, I once again complimented um Elsa and how great she was. And he says to me, you know what, I'm gonna buy your dinner the next time you're here. Instead of the twenty five dollar gift card, I'm gonna give me your email address. I'll shoot you an email confirming it with my cell phone number and my name and I'll confirm it. I said, Oh, that's that's above and beyond. Really you don't have to do that. Nope, I insist, I said, Okay, great. He sent me an email with a credit for a hundred dollars. Wow, that's very big of him. So on top of my free dessert meal because they messed it up three times and the return of my gift card. Instead of my gift card, he gave me a hundred dollar credit because he felt I was polite and nice and appreciative and understanding during the pandemic. So I wanted to shout out PF Chang's above and beyond free dessert on top of free dessert, So thank you. Shout out to p F Chang's great. That's awesome. Al Right, now you know something, um, I wanted to tell you and I wanted to get your opinion on this because I was I went to my very first Zoom birthday party last night. Zoom birthday party. You know what that is? Obviously the birthday party on Zoom. Yeah, for those that don't know Zoom, you know, no one knows. I'm assuming everyone knows that zoom. Yeah, it looks like the Brady Bunch chat. Now do you have the audio from that party from last night that you could post on deezer? Yeah, there's no audio. It's well, I I well, the real, the real. Well, the reason why there's no audio is because you couldn't hear anything. Zoom parties are a bad idea. Um. I loved the fact that people made a time an appointment to go on and say happy birthday to the birthday girl, which they did and there. But now when you got thirty two people on the invite and twenty people in the room and the room holds up to fifty people, now the squares are like Hollywood squares. They're getting and then you have to keep zooming. You know, you're kind of like pulling your screen out. Its stretching the screen because it's gotta you know, they got accommodate more squares and everything. I gotta tell you, when everyone either everyone's talking at once uh and talking over each other, or no one's talking at all and just staring at the screen, it is complete chaos. Um. I wouldn't wish that upon anybody. I don't think I want It was a great idea, in theory, like on paper. When the email came in, I'm like, oh cool, she's having a zoom birthday party eight thirty be there and and I was so cool with I'm like, yeah, it's a good idea. But then I thought it through and exactly what I thought happened because as soon as everybody because at first the first five minutes were great, there was like four or six people on there that turned into eight ten started multiplying like the virus, and before long brody. Before long, I'm sitting there and there's like twenty four squares and everybody's like, this is the audio Happy Birthday Champagne. And I'm like, what is what just happened? And it didn't calm down again until people started getting board or frustrated and signing off saying I'm out, yeah, that's not my kind of party, but the people are doing them. Now. Can you pick what square you're in? Can you drag your square to where you wanted to be on the screen Zoom maybe on You know there are other you know, there's Microsoft teams, their symphony, there are other companies that do it house parties. Does Deezer do it? Could you get a video of dies. You will be the first to know. Brodie. Yeah, you know what, Brodie. I think when it comes to Deezer, I bet you they run the I bet you they run the podcast in order the way it's supposed to. I think the layout is exactly the way it's supposed to. Check. What was that? What was that the other app you tried to get me to everyone to fall in love with in the in the mid two thousand's Instagram? No, no, Dick, it was with a p um or an Uh? It was it with a p with an F. Oh, it was supposed to be that it was it was periscope. No, not periscope. It was the next social media you wanted us to get. It was after it was it after Facebook? It was pH It was pH something. Oh fat, oh pH I forgot the name of it already. Yeah, that's gone. Yeah, you said everyone's you gotta you gotta register your name, you gotta get it. It was never happened. It was friend er or or it was it was a pH something. Then we're using the sound of the yeah a word, I'm gonna google it was a pH failed social Now it's media. Now it is fail p h A I l fail because it's gone. I can't you know, I can't. I can't even google it. That's what a fail it was. Maybe Donny Osmond can find it right now. We'll be right back after this. Okay, So here's a list of failed apps. Google Plus was a major fail, right. Oh yeah, Vine failed once. Instagram was like, oh six seconds, here's fifteen bitch. Uh. You remember an app called yik Yak. Yes, I do yik yak of course. Yeah. It launched in two thousand fourteen. Uh. It raised seventy million dollars. It was valued at four hundred million dollars and then it crashed. Did it crash as a technical problem or just nobody? Friends? Stir wow? Mere Cat, I know your cat, mere cat cat. Yes. Cat was Periscope's competitor, right, which was a stupid name for it. So that's why it failed. Google Wave, Google buzz iTunes ping, that was a thing. Yeah, Kick that was that was one of them. You wanted us all on cake. You wanted us on kicks so badly. It's like spelled like it's a k I K. Also Line, the line the line app, Oh my god, the Daily Booth, the line app, the line app, is a massive app in Asia, which which became really big after. I think one of the tsunamis because it was like What's App, where like people didn't need the Internet to connect or whatever. They could get a WiFi and it saved a lot of lives. So they spent I'm gonna say a billion dollars with our company, I Heart Radio, and every jock had to talk about it, download it, use it, and be able to explain why it's great, and it was. It was supposed to be It's next to Kick and it's it was supposed to be like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter all in one, and What's App a one stop shop with stickers and all kinds of stuff that we had no use for. It was very kitchy Asian, you know, like Asian anime and Asian porn is all different. It was. It was the Hello It was the Hello Kitty of apps, um and so Hello Shitty, And they spent a billion dollars with our company, and they hired a whole team of people in our company to to oversee the launch of the line app. It never happened, not here in America. We couldn't get people to come over. And then Vine Vine was great and then retired. Right. Oh, I'm looking for oh capa Zoo daily booth forms Spring. These are all failed apps. Halo with two ease, Hello with two ease, Hives, I W I W a Hungarian site Jike. This mobile just spelled like the guests. I never even heard of these musically, which we now know music well musically got brought by turned into TikTok. What TikTok is today? Because guess what I was originally a musically remember, and then when TikTok took them over, I automatically became a Okay, you should not have been on musically more than you shouldn't have been on on TikTok. By the way, I'm looking at the the Wikipedia page for failed the biggest failed social networking websites and apps. I even Keek isn't even listed. Wow two thousand fourteen. A Mashable article how to get started with Kik, a Toronto based Yeah, there is social media platforms. A chat with the CEO of Kick two thousand twelve. Okay, so whisper doing these days? Whisper is a big one. I don't know. Um, can we finish out on some lyrics? Can all right, let's let's wrap this up with a problem I have with lyrics. Are you ready to go? Ok? What do you got? What do you got? No? No, no, we'll save it for next episode. I gotta put a trampoline together in the freezing cold. Wait what? Yeah? So we have a tramp around trampoline in the backyard for eight years that my kids use, and it's rusted on a couple of springs. There's like two springs around around the you know, the outside of it, and there's a little bit of rust on a little area where you climb in, but you could stand it down a cover with duct tape. This is like the meat loaf. To my wife the week gold meat loaf. I say, cover it with duct tape. It will be fine. It's springs and bounces, no problem. She says, you can't use it. The springs could snap at any minute. And I said, okay. There's a hundred springs around the outside, like a spring from the mat to the outside rim each each like two inches is another little spring. So it's got plenty of springs on it. Even if that one spring would a snap, it's got ninety nine more springs that aren't rusted, and I know that rust isn't safe. Don't tweet me, but I can easily cover up the rust. Take my word for it. She said, no, she won't let me sell it. Even though I want to sell it. People want to buy it, like you can't sell a rusted trampoline. I'm like, people want it. I'll give it away for like fifty bucks. If they take it apart and take it, they can have it. Well, she wouldn't let me sell it. After like fifteen people begged for it. She won't let me sell it, so we gotta take it apart. We got a new trampoline now, rectangular trampoline that the kids wanted, a rectangular one that just arrived today. And it's forty degrees outside and they want to put it together, so they're putting it together now, and I gotta go ahead. But by the way, it's not just forty. It's forty with wind gus past fifty making the wind chill in the thirties. It feels like it's thirties. The thirties in the northeast right now it feels like February. What'side And they want this put together today. Yeah, Now, I don't know. I don't know if this coronavirus flying around, I imagine it doesn't survive in the cold. But then again, an expert we all know said that the coronavirus will go away in the heat like a miracle that didn't happen, So I don't know how the temperature affects it. No one's in my backyard. Have a private backyards. It's not a big deal, but it's called outside. I don't want to go outside, but we've gotta wrap up the podcast. So is there one thing? I know? We tease a bunch of stuff, So then which I guess I shouldn't have teased. If we don't get to it, well, I don't know. I don't know where to go. I mean, well, you want to talk about do you want to talk? Well, why don't you throw something in that you want? And then I actually wanted to address something that happened on the air the other day which involves our slices, and it pissed you off, and it shouldn't have pissed you off. I don't want to I don't want to bring it up here. I'll tell you, I'll tell you why I don't want to bring it up but we tease something last week that we said we would talk about this week, and we didn't do that. I know. So do we want to talk about Do we want to talk about the Tussie slide issue, which you can wait till next week. It's a stupid song with a dumb name. I don't care how you pronounce it. I call it the tushy Slide whatever. So that's stupid song that, by the way, Charlemagne the God our friend, he hates it. He got into a Twitter war about it last week it was trending. Charlemagne the God not happy with that song, and you know he's been feuding with Drake forever anyway, So we can talk about that. We can talk about or do you want to talk about what you tease last week about trying to s your own D? We didn't talk about that either. Let's talk about that next episode episode we will do. Can we talk about pencil that in? We'll put a pin in it. We'll put a pin in your D and we'll circle back to we'll table it. We'll table in. No no, no, no, no, I just gotta do it when my kids are on home. Uh, So you're gonna try to you know you you go when your kids aren't home. No, this topic, I'm not gonna try it. I can't even touch I can't even touch my toes, let alone. What you tried anyway, Let's talk about that as a kid. Okay, I wasn't. Now, okay, I know what. Please, it wasn't in quarantine. Do we want to talk about the Tussie slide or TuS Yeah, let's talk about the tu slide. Okay, let's let's wrap this up. I'm looking at the Chacha slide lyrics. Okay. Now, the Chacha slide has lyrics that explain how to do the dance. Right to the left, take it back now, y'all. One hop this time right foot, Let's stomp left foot. Let's stomp cha cha, real smooth. You do the chacha turn it out, which means you turn to the left. Take it back now. One hop this time right foot, Let's stomp left foot. Let's stomp cho cho now, y'all. Now it's time to get funky. And then I apparently you get funky. I don't do it. It's not my thing. Okay. Now I'm we're going at the Tusi slide. It go, which by my great great grammar it go right foot, foot up, left foot slide, left foot up up, right foot slide now okay, scary, I want you to stand up. Can you stand up for saying? Okay, I'm standing up right now. I want you to lift your right foot up, lift lift your right foot up right in what way? Just like? Okay? Yeah? Like like lift it up, lift it up like where you're like your knee is up. Now slide your left foot impossible. Okay, Now let's try the next line, because maybe that's just a trick. All right, lift your left foot up, left foot up, now slide your right foot again. Can't do it right right? This song is impossible, so it wants you to also another problem here, not only well, maybe some people can do it right right foot up, left foot slide. Maybe that if there are some people that can probably do that. The problem I have is if it's going right foot up, left foot slide, which sway do you slide right? You can't slide to the left. Don't sleep. You can't slide and go right foot up and and then left foot slide. You slide into towards your left foot. You can slide to the left. No, it says left foot slide left slide the left left foot, your left foot slides to the left. You can't possibly do that, you yeah, But the problem is it doesn't tell you to put your right foot down first, right? Which things? You want you to put your left foot up? And now you got right and now you're gonna when you put your left foot up. If your right foot's already up, now you're fucked right land on your balls and you can't slide either foot. And that's the that's it. That's the whole slide, the whole dances. Two moves and you die. Maybe it was made for paraplegic. First of all, that's offensive, I guess I'm just saying. Second of all, the left foot up, the right foot up, they don't have any to them. How could a paraplegic is not a quadruh an amputee, you idiot. A quadriplegic means they're handicapped, all four, all fours, all four limbs. I didn't say quadr I said para. Okay, if they were paraplegic, how would they lift anything? That's what I'm saying, because it's it's if you're left foot and you're right foot or up. It's like being one, but because it's not, you've got nothing but air underneath you. But if you have, how how could you pick both feet up unless you were sitting in a chair. And if you're sitting in a chair, you're not dancing. Listen, I didn't write the lyrics to this fucking song. I'm trying to analyze the damn thing anyway I could. I don't want here. And what kind of you know is that the right foot is up and the left foot is sliding. That is, but you're possible for some you can't slide your foot while your other foot's up. You can't. Are you wearing a sob? No you can't. Are you holding onto a bar like like a oh if I put my right foot up, No, you can't. You can't slide. If you're light enough and small enough, with what momentum, you could probably with what moment could probably do a little jerk, a jerk to the left. Okay, that sounds like that, sounds like like s in your day. I'm not I'm not doing a little jerk. I'm not doing that jerk to the left. Okay. I want you to try this at home, and if you can somehow lift your right foot and left foot slide, or lift your left foot up and right foot slide. Then send us videos to at David Brody and Scary Jones and at the Brooklyn Boys, and please stop. I think you can't stop tweeting at me and the Brooklyn Boys about Scary and not leaving and not tweeting at Scary Jones. Please. They're talking about me behind my back again. No, they're they're saying I love you guys or whatever. But then you're not there to see it. I'll never see, I'll never know and we'll never read it because I can you imagine you're like you're at it. You're at like you're at a wedding and the band is like, all right, everybody, get on the dance floor. We're gonna do the Twist slide, the Tussey slide. First of all, pop are gonna fall on the ground and the rest of them are like, okay, that was a two line song. Now what So the next paragraph says, do you want to dance with me? No, I can dance like Michael Jackson. Well, Michael Jackson slid backwards with both feet in the moon. Well that was the thing he created he did the moonwalk. You don't think Michael Jackson did the TUSI slide. I don't think Mike. I've never seen Michael Jackson lift the left foot up and slide with his right foot. Never saw that. I'm sure you can do it. I believe you can. If you have enough power in your right leg, you could slide it. You could slide your body, you could dragon you. My problem is is the fact that there's a line missing, and that is to put your foot down. You go to the other foot right, because now you got both foot in the end. Now you're fucked. You both foot both feet and you land on your knees. So try to do this. We'll call it a TUSI challenge. We should get this trending on Twitter hashtag TUSI challenge. Let's if this was something that couldn't have been done, someone would have called it out sooner than us. I don't think people analyze believe you think that we are so groundbreaking on this podcast that you were the first person to recognize can't be done, which is why I think that it can be Wasn't I the first person to get the Android phones not to turn on when you plug in the charger. Yes, I am a trend setter. But you can't dance like Michael jack Son. But other people can, but Michael jack Michael don't think the Tusie slide was aimed or written for. And we weren't even supposed to know about. Film these videos on TikTok on and put and copy them in Twitter and Instagram of you trying to do the Twusi challenge, and make sure you put at the Brooklyn Boys and at David Rodette Scary Jones, and let's see if you can do it. Now I'm looking on too, I'm gonna look on TikTok right, And it started. This whole thing started on of course. Okay. Now more importantly, the only thing I could come up with as an explanation is that somehow he's talking to a girl about getting in bed and and and and screwing, and he's saying, lift your right foot up and slide your left foot over so that he can maybe get access. But why wouldn't you just slide both feet? Why would you lift one leg up? I mean that is a move to lift one leg up. I get it. Well. The next lines are basically I'm saying either way, we about to slide, which also could mean right, he's about to get it in. But then yeah, there could be some sexual connotation. Then he says, damn, but do you want to dance? I can't let this one slide? Baby, Baby, who's bad? By the way, A nice recall to the Michael Jackson and then he says it's a thriller in the trap again, another another call back to Michael Jackson. Baby, don't you want to dance with me? Now? He could be saying dance like sex, in which case you can lift your right foot up, left foot slide. But but but then it's not a Then he goes into the line where he says I could give you thug passion, meaning like he's just gonna go wait a minute, if you give if you give a girl thug, you get hold on if you give a girl, if you give a girl thug passion, does that mean you turn your penis sideways like a gun? You know, like the thugs turn the gun sideways? Do turn your penis sideways and give him thug passion? Yeah? Well, then you see not After the Jackson line, he says he rhymes it with I could give you satisfaction. So this this song really is about sex and not about a dance after all. Yeah, you're you're not buying it. I'm saying it could be it could be about sex. I'm saying as a dance song, it doesn't work because he says, got a dance, it's really easy on some street ship. I'm gonna show you how to get it. So he says he's got a dance. It's really he's wearing black leather gloves with no sequence. And when he says it's really easy on some street ship, do you think he means like drugs, Like you can do this if you get like do you have to get stoned to do this dance? I don't know. So uh. Then he says he hits it the Tuesday Slide. He hits it double time, So double time means and he's going twice as fast or twice as hard. I don't know. I don't know. Okay, Well, you know what, some mysteries are just left unsolved. Okay there, Brodie. Yeah, I'm wondering, how did you fall trying to do they slide? You know? You know what I'm thinking because a lot of our listeners are thinking isn't um isn't there a website? Is it? Rap? Genius? My favorite, the Genius app. Talking about this forever there's a there's it's a yellow icon with black writing on it. It's called Genius. They have it as available as an app and a website. You can It is so versatile. You could type in any song, get the lyrics, and then the lyrics. Certain lyrics are actually hyperlinked, so you can press on the lyric and it takes you to what are they really talking about here? And it's almost like a Wikipedia of lyrics right there inside the app. It is phenomenal, phenomenal. It is probably one of my top five favorite apps of all time. And I do mean that, and I'm not exaggerating. I love Genius because if there ever there's a reference that they make, or even if there's a sample of a song referred to it, and they'll tell you where it came. Here's what it says. The song and it's accompanying dance are named after Atlantic choreographer Tussie, who on March, five days before the release of the song, posted a video of him along with other dancers doing the dance, which went viral. So I guess there's a dance, so then there you go. So if the guy invented it, it can be done. So we've answered our own question, said just dance and wrote the song. Uh, everyone's in love with the dance tous slide. So I guess it's a video. Of course. I feel like this is the one that started at all. Guess where it is on TikTok. All right, my assumption is people are gonna be yelling, how could you see? I hear that they're upload it to deezer. Yeah, okay, you know what it's on. There's a there's a we find the line app Yeah, you know what. Apparently Tussi posted it. So let's let's go to the website. All right, we're gonna do this live, not only do it live. I'm just gonna you know what, I'm gonna see if the video, if the video play, I just don't think the average person can do it. Oh, the media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner. So the link that I had go look it up. And again, I'm sure professional dancers can do the Tusi slide, but the average person cannot. That's all I'm saying. You can't something to aspire to. That's what I'm gonna like the electric slide, like the Chato slide. I'm watching people do the TWUSI slide and they put their foot up and put it back down and then they slide. Of course they are not getting the other foots. They're not lifting their foot and sliding. So if that, if if hands up, is that is that group dance or or the achy Bricky Heart, remember that one they did. If those are like if those are like easy to c would be like difficult, that would be like pro Okay, those are two ends of the spectrum. Good today, No, but I'm okay for now. Yeah, I think this was a solid episode. I'm gonna go get some organic dates out of the refrigerator. Tell A right said, Hi, I'm just gonna be sitting here in Jersey City. I'll tell you where I won't be visiting any time. Getting Yello VI pizza from Boys Boys GLA
