Speaker 1: Says Elvis derand presents off air show Sary Jones Greg t episode The Fair Show. I'm Scary Jones. I think we titled this one New Beginnings episode number one. I like that new beginnings because we have new people with us or a new person with us. I don't know if this is a new beginning. I gotta be honest. Is it an old ending? Oh? I think as we discussed. By the way, I'm David Brody for about straight in the morning. Sho do you really need an introduction? I think I do. Yeah, just his rutings doesn't necessarily know who's who I whatever I introduced, Well, they're opening jingle, said Scary and Gregg T. So I figured i'd mentioned my name. Okay, so you and I discussed let me get a pen and paper. This is gonna be a long episode because, uh, I guess. Greg t Is expressed expressed interest that he's done with the podcast. Why he would he expressed disinterest? Expressed interest. He expressed the fact that he's disinterested in the podcast. So let's let's set this up for for fans of The All Fair Show. You're you're Jackalobes by the way, not not Yeah, the All Fair heads. You you're a listener to show. Yeah, so you you know, and you love the fact that we have an All Fair Show army. We have a cabinet, we have people, we have we have an active chat room. You know, we have all kinds of things. Yeah, yeah, it's great. You guys have that thing. It's it's good on the on the Walkers and Talkers podcast, we don't we don't have that. We just do the podcast. And then again, if you're a fan of the Walking Town or fear of walking down the Preacher or just good old comedy, Walkers and Talkers on our Heart Radio. And then of course we we both you and I both do the fifteen minute morning show, which I'm I'm uh yeah when together a lot, Well we worked together twenty years. Yeah, you too, spend time. You put yourself in front of You're the funny thing. Yeah, funny that people keep asking me. He He goes, well, come, you don't talk. You've been what people think that you're you're new on the big show, that you've only been here like five years. No, I I My job is not to talk on the air. If Elvis needs to ask me a question, I speak. If Elvis says Brodie one is hanaka start, I'll say Thursday. You know it's Or if he says, Brodie, what happened to your wife? What did you do with the what did you see in the hallway? Then he'll go to me and but that's not my role on the show. But now in the world of podcasting, you have a greater voice. Yeah, and so here's what I would say if you, if you liked me on the fifteen minute Morning Show, and you think I have any kind of ability, ask yourself how difficult it must be for nineteen years to stand in front of microphones and not talk. I mean, you started here as the guy in the corner. Yeah. So I used to do sketch comedy and improv and tour comedy clubs and colleges and perform live for people. And so I'm a talker. I think that I've made that apparent on Well, that's what I do for a life, That's who I am. I got in trouble in school for talking, for writing song parodies in the back of the class. Yeah. Well, I told the story on the air once, but I got sent to the dean's office once because I was there was a substitute teacher, and I was writing fake funny names on the attendance sheet. You had a sign, and I was writing song parodies and making people laugh in the back of the room. The substitute teacher wasn't really doing any work, but they wanted us all to be very organized and to sit quietly. So I had everybody laughing, as I like to do. And so I got sent down to the dean's office and very serious man, Mr Brodie, or his first He said to me, goes, do you think you're funny? Do you think you're amusing? And I said, actually, yes, I choose the honest answer. By the way, you shouldn't have gotten in trouble that when I went to school, I graduated high school sixteen, so I'm also I'd like to think I graduated when I was eight. Yeah, well I'm smarter than you, so and I mean that in a funny way, but I I don't again, you know, we had the conversation, when did you peek? I peaked in junior high school? Well, so I started public school at five instead of six, and then I skipped eighth grade. I did seventh and eighth grade in seventh in two year program at Mark Twain. We went to the same junior high school at different times. We did not know each other. No, I'm a little older than you. You are not um also also anyway, So so I was I was sixteen. I think I was fifteen when I got sent to the dean's office. I was junior. And well, when I wore my senior shirts, seniors would get mad at me and say, hey, that shirt's only for seniors. Get that off. But like I am a senior, you know you're not. I had to take up my I d so I wouldn't get beat up in the bathrooms by the seniors because I was a senior. Anyway, So the dean said to me, do you think you're funny? I said, yes, I actually I I do kind of think I'm funny. Now back then, when you're in school, and I'm sure it's the same now, being funny was It was considered a sign of immaturity if if you couldn't control the humor, you were immature. Right, So like when a teacher said, how does botulism spread when I was in seventh grade, I said, with a butter knife. Now that's not now I knew the answer but I went for the joke because that's who I was, even in seventh grade. And so the dean said, or you think you're funny, IM gonna call your parents. Okay, he calls my mother up, and he says, Mrs Brody, I have your son in my office. Now. My mother is neurotic when it comes to me. I'm an only child, in case you hadn't realized that obviously. Uh. And so her first instinct was he is he okay? Is he all right? Did he get hurt? You know? She was gonna run to the school. I'll come there right now. No, No, your son's fine. So he says, we have a problem. Well, what's the problem, Well, you know not. Keep in mind, I don't I've never done anything wrong. I don't break the law. I don't do drugs, I don't drink. I'm very straight laced pretty much. So she didn't think I did anything that bad. So he says, your son thinks he's extremely humorous and disrupted the class. Now I'm in I'm in his office. I only hear his side of the conversation. So so then he says, no, seriously, that is what's wrong. No, it is a negative. I understand, he gets that from you, but that's not what's appropriate. So on the other end of the phone with my mother said, oh, thank you very much. He gets that from me because my mother was proud that I was funny and then I was able to make kids laugh and entertain people, and she already knew I was bright, and I was doing well and was a substitute teacher. Listen, I had a conversation. I shouldn't beat this, but anyway, I don't even know what this conversation started. That's going to school in the second. But I've always been to the point is I've always been a talker and a and a class comedian, not a class clown. That's very different. Class comedian a clown. Well, Billy Crystal, who's a legend. He explained this, and I think it's a brilliant explanation, and then you'll know who on the show is Who's who? Yeah, the class clown is the guy at the big high school football game who runs across the field naked for attention. He's the class clown. The class comedians, the guy who talked him into it and told him would be funny. So I come up with stuff for Greg t to do. He's the class clown and he makes a great living out of it. Clown at that right, But I wasn't the class clown. I was the class comic. Got it all right? So anyway, so nineteen years of standing in the room with five other very talented people who being the names have changed over the years. Corner the guy in the corner our first studio when I started there was it was rectangular, and I stood in the corner because that's what the ledge was so I could write whatever I write, jokes, right, jokes, which is fine. So I was the guy in the corner. So one of my early phone taps, I said, you know, I was Dave Brother the guy in the corner. Elvis would read the emails because he used to read the emails rather than when we set him up now. He would read the phone tap submissions off the sheet and it would say remember that right. He would say, the phone tap submission says with the email says, tap was right when you hear I was reading the email right like my cat is going, which I did in it's really old, I know, but people know it. He says. The email says my mother Anita, right, doll thing. But when we set them up now, he was like, you know, you guys stopped your own phone taps, which we do now we say, hey, some we've got a submission. You guys did it. I didn't live it, so that's why we do that. All right, Well, that's cool. So the point is I appreciate that guy, and people want to hear more of you because, you know, quite honestly, you know, it's been nineteen years. Nineteen years. Imagine having to take the worst dump in the world for nineteen years. I guess what, you get to explode right here and use this as your very rowing toilet. And that's That's one of the things I love about the fifteen Minute Morning Show, also available on I Heart Radio, is that is that, for fifteen minutes, I get to be part of, in essence a morning show, right in terms of talking. Yeah, all right, well cool, people love it. Yeah, And I don't know, listen, I don't know if what I do on the fifteen minute Morning Show would fit on the big show necessarily. Now, the other your other podcasts you do would use the Walkers and Talkers podcast that's like a niche thing. I mean, I'm not a fan of Walking Dead. So I never listened to it, and I'm sure that there are people that would be turned off by the title of it. And I know that you guys do more than just talk about the show. Yeah, So we did a two hour podcast last last week. The first fifteen minutes was about my trip to Disney, uh and and taking pictures with Star Wars characters. Again, more like what I would do on my Jamie and I do a podcast. It's about The Walking Dead, but she and I do it like it's a morning show. We talk about sex, toys, we talk about we interweave what's going on on the show with a morning show vibe to it. Well, so I do have people who follow us who listen who say, you know what, I don't watch the show, but I love the banter. Well, so then how would this show different differ? I mean, I think this should be for all the rest. I mean, we know each other, okay, so that brings us to the commonality. Because this is why I think this works, Because you know, like bald Freak, who grew up in my neighborhood and we knew each other all these years. You and I grew up in the same area, you raised like blocks away from each other, blocks away. We didn't even know my my my dad heard a phone tap of yours once and he said, he goes, I heard your phone tap. Today was great because we have the same basic accent. People. Yeah, people confuse Yeah, people confuse you with Greg T on the show, which makes no sense to me. It's not nothing alike, but your your second tier chime in guys on the show like Elviso, go what scary, and you'll chime in what Greg T. You're not main co host that talk all the time about everything on a microphone. So your roles are similar, but your personalities, your characters, your your accents nothing alike. If you live in Iowa or or Tampa or wherever else we're on the you know, a New York accent or a New Jersey accent sounds similar, but we have But you and I say the same words the same way. Okay, So now that brings us to what we're doing here today. Greg T and you have been um an unhappy married couple for a long time on the podcast. Yes, and it sounds like it sounded like you guys were staying together for the benefit of ron Ronnie Bolt freak as he was the child. And then Ronnie decided, I don't need this, and he decided even that's time though he didn't have time on the show because actually the Boston rightision, you guys were sticking together and trying to keep it together, and and and and Mark, one of the bosses, said to ron you're you're you're supposed to be on the air right now. Ronnie was being paid for another job, not this one, right, So right, he's gonna go where the money is, right. So then the be the benson Hurst Brooklyn level went down from two to one, and then uh, the co host level went down from two to one. No, no, but no, no, no, no. Greg has left the podcast. No he left. Yeah, that's what I meant. The last couple of days, he's been like, I'm just I think the wind is out of my sales man. I don't want to do And I hope personally, I hope he changed his mind. I think you guys together are very good. Now. He is good, you know. I I think he's going through a phase. I think he is too. Now. Over the past year that you've been doing the podcast, I've popped in a couple of times, three or four episodes when you it was you and Greg t I've jumped in to either pick on you or tell a story, and I leave. And then over the past month and a half when he wasn't here, one day he had vaccination shots or something else. Some he had some obligations applications one day, right, And then so you and you here would share who I love, and you said, Brody, come in and you know, come in and sit and give advice, and yeah, because I wanted to hear that side of you. I never heard that side of you. And and you know what, got a great feedback. People tweeted us at the affair show at Gmail, and I saw the feed the email too. Were very happy with the people. So you could be both sides of it. So, you know, I always said the Your Fair Show could be whatever we wanted to be. It could be a variety of things. And so I didn't like taking it down that sports road. It's sports talk, Like I don't know much about sports. I just know about my Mets, you know, I know about some baseline things, and we both love the Mets by the way we do. But and I don't mind talking about We're sitting next to each other in every playoff game. That's yes, we do on TV. You're blocked by the logo sometimes. You know, it's actually very funny, but you get the aisle seat because it's your connection that we have those seats. You know, it's very funny. I just a side story about that. So I went. I went to the game without your body. I cheated when my buddy Brian went to the game, um and he we had those seats, and it was on a Fox game and I ended up being on the camera and then my buddy Brian was blocked. I saw the game. I sent you a screen shot blocked by the Fox logo. Do you know Brian's Graham. Brian sent that picture to his grandmother said look, look I was on TV and the logo was blocking my face and Scary's in the shot. The grandmother turns around and says, oh my god, you poor thing. How did you see the game? You can't make this ship up. She couldn't see the sign was actually that the sign was in front of his face at the stadium. And she's like, no, no, no, grandma, that's actually just something that he put on the TV screen. It's just a little watermark. What do they call it? A logo? Whatego a bug a bug that's TV term, but it's very funny. Yeah. Anyway, so I so you came to me yesterday. I'm like, dude, I've been filling in. It's a good vibe. I don't want to shut this podcast down. I don't because I love the listener. What would Omar do? What would Marine Dan? But Jennifer Lee is that that's her name? Jennifer Ye. Jennifer Ye. Yeah, what were Jennifer? And Henry Davidson Henry Davidson, Yeah, you know all these people we have. By the way, Henry Davidson, I'll put the picture up of Kylo Wren today. I promise what you've been promising, Henry. Yes, so again part of my podcast. Henry Davidson, very very good interactive tweeter. Yes he is, who tweets me at David un score, Brody does Lone, Lonnie Spicer. Lonnie's a big fan of the Walkers and Talkers podcast. Big fan. By the way, we doing Preacher feature this week because we're reviewing Preacher. Anyway. Uh So, Henry now listens to the podcast even though he doesn't listen, doesn't watch Walkers and Talkers. So he enjoyed the Disney talk at the beginning of I think episode sixty two of Walkers and Talkers. I like that, you say, yep, like you listen to episode sixty two. No, I'm not. I'm agreeing. I'm saying. And one of the things I talked about on my podcast was when I got to meet Kylo Wren in quotes at Disney a couple of weeks ago. So he'll let me. I'll tell the story real quick. Music. See, that's the point where you're supposed to be like, play some Darth Vader, play some Star Wars music. That's that's not that's the last guy. You're not gonna You're not gonna boss me around now. I'm not gonna do it. Okay, listen, I'm not gonna talk about other people. Okay, So we met Chewbacca. I'm getting I'm sorry, but he's nott Vaders. All right, you can do the Star Wars. Star Wars is a whole Star Wars area at Hollywood Studios at Disney World in Orlando Flower not a commercial light like. Okay. So sometimes when you meet the celebrities or or characters or whatever, you see them in a distance, and you get online and you line up and you see people getting pictures with the characters at in Star Wars land of the area they're in like a docking bay behind a wall and a door, so they let like four people in the door. It slides open and you go in, closes behind you, and you don't You still don't see it. They bring you one at a time around the wall to the area where the pictures are taken. So we we take our pictures with Chewbacca and Chewbacca. He's like seven ft tall. That was me doing Chewbacca, right, I think I can do it better. You're gonna okay, I'm doing it with my mouth or you're playing sound effects. Anyway, So the guy in the Chewbacca costume because apparently the real Chewbacca wasn't available, he's seven ft three like, he's huge, and the costume is the actual costume, so it looks just like Chewbacca. Made for a great picture. Then I get online to meet Kylo Wren. Kyler Ren Is is played by Adam Driver. If you're a fan of Adam Driver, he's tall and he's muscular. He worked out for the role. Very big upper body lanky guy, though lanky means tall and skinny. Adam Driver is is a is a lump. He's a big muscular duck. They don't make guinea bad guys in Star Wars movids necessarily. The job of the hut was fat anyway, Boba fat, don't look analyze and Tommy, General grievous was thin. I please all out gek you stop it. Okay, you're talking to people listening to the podcast. If I know there's some thin bad what about General gvos? Okay? So I go around the wall to meet the big bad Kylo Wren, And now the word lanky comes into effect. The guys about five eleven at best maybe, which is fine anyways, about a hundred pounds. And so I'm like, where's Kylo Wren? Where's the guy? At least put him in a suit that like muscle, like a muscle suit. Phone. This guy is like, Kyla want want, So I go to take a picture with him, and I ren from Renn and Stip Brightening. They'd be ediot. Okay, So yes, I do cartoon voices. I have no sibling, so I got to take a picture with Kylo right now, you know, we take pictures with celebrities here all the time. There's everyone. We have a pose, right, I have a pose. You have as you do the chin up thing. I hate that post. Okay, you do the chin out like you're trying to you know what you're doing when you stick your face my faith forward to make it look like I have less chins. Right, dude, I got more chins than a Chinese phone book. Okay, Um, that was funny in the seventies. Now it's just offensive people. I guarantee you there are a lot of people that have never heard that joke. Yes, judge jokes. Okay, I would assume that if you're not Asian right now, you're going that's funny. And Jennifer Yee, I apologize that you're making Okay, she likes that. It was just Okay, it's a fact. Listen. I'm not offended by anything. I'm just saying I hope nobody's offended by it. Okay. Ifended offended, please tweet us. I go to stand next to him. Now, when you stand next to somebody, there's that awkward thing where you don't have to do in your hand. Your arm is sort of in the way, right, it's sort of blocking. So when celebrities come up, I'll put my arm around them if they're a guy, and behind them if they're a woman. I don't like to put an that's is that pose, that's your etiquette around. Okay, if a guy comes up close in a picture and does like thumbs ap, puts his arm around you, I'll put my arm like behind his back, so it's not like in the way, although it's like there's no room. Right, But if, like I said, if I take a picture of Katie Perry, she'll lean on your shoulder. She'll put her arm on your shoulder. She's very cozy, cute. CE love Katy Perry. But I don't put my hand on her back. I feel kind of weird. I'm not. I know you do, but I don't like to put my arm on them. I feel like I don't know, I don't. I don't feel comfortable with it. So Kylo Wren is up against me and he's doing like the force hand like like he's doing like he's using the force as if he's like grabbing a peach, right, okay, grabbing a peach, but like powerfully, and his arm is extended towards the photographer. So my arm is sort of being like bumping into his other arm. So I go to put my arm behind his back and he jumps and A's like and he's got the voice changer. It's more like Kylo Ren. It's more like I'm Batman, like Christian Bale. So he's like, don't do that. Yeah. So the guy weighs ninety pounds. No, but his voice is changed. So I was like, oh, sorry, don't do that again. I'm like, oh sorry, Kylo. Anyway, the point is we had a big conversation about Disney on my Walkers and Talkers podcast and I promised I would post the picture of me with skinny Kylo Wren and I didn't yet, so no, So Henry Davidson's like, where's the picture? Well, let me say, Henry, I'll put it up. First of all, follow me on Instagram by the way, at david Underscore broad Yes, but at Walker's Underscore, Talkers on Instagram and Twitters with a picture. Okay, awesome, But I want to ask you this, Kylo Wren. You you're you're hanging out with him, and was that Kylo Wren in character telling you stop doing the character of Kylo act. You know, the kid in the costume who was home from college for the summer. He felt weird. No, I think he was in character. That's I just wanted to clarify that, all right. So the point is, as we keep going off tangents here, you came to me yesterday coming off the heels of another fantastic fifteen minute morning show, and coming off the heels of of of me sitting in with you and share last week. Yeah, let's put something down. Let's put you know, and and a lot of positive feedback from your listening. Yeah, and and plus guess what we've already named every listener. I have names who's an off airhead. Actually, let's just see your podcast and you're like, oh, I know that person from Twitter, that person was on. There's a lot of crossover people and so so I said, you were very complimentary, and I said we have a good rapport. Yeah. I then said, I feel, um, I already do two podcasts, The fifteen Minute and Walkers and Talking, and I do phone taps and I'm doing a lot of stuff after the show and writing song parodies or whatever else. I don't know if I have the time. I also said I don't want to step into the show that like this was this was Greg T show with you, and I wanted to speak with Greg T and make sure that he was fine with it, which I have not done yet. Yeah, but he is fine. He told me. He's like, dude, he goes do whatever you do, whatever you want. He wanted to just shut it down. Yeah, I know. I'm like, no, I'm not going to shut So there's something about deep there's something we didn't even get out damn T shirts yet, which by the way, they are coming. There's something about buying a new car versus getting into someone's old car. This isn't an old car, this is been rebuilt. Well that's why we're here today. To me, the car is in the garage, it's up on the lift, and now we're gonna strip it and sell it for parts like we do in Brooklyn. Yeah, and so, so what's going on? Like this is episode it's like episode five. No, it's not. It's show. The old Fair Show is ever changing. We're about to change the logo and purple logo is got to go. I would like blue and orange. Well, guess what I would like blue and range. I have a surprise for you blue and orange logo. Hold on, let me get her in here, blue and orange and yes, blue and orange. No, Kathleen's got a committe. She's a surprised blue and orange. If you've already designed a logo, that's what I'm talking about. I didn't have him put this is your show. It's like, hold on, hold on, yep, here's my problem. Before she speaks, yes, here's what you're doing. Yes, rather than saying, Brodie, you and I should get a house together, an apartment. We should live in the city. Be cool. You're inviting me into your apartment. The glasses are already in the cabinet where you want them. The phone and the answering machine is where you want it. And I don't necessarily want the glasses by the refrigerator. I want to buy the You like the girlfriend who's moving in, And your girlfriend is coming in and she gets like a you know something under the room. Okay, so yesterday you've already put the tampons in the cabinet, and you've decided that I get the left medicine cabinet. I like the right medicine cabinet. So hold on before before Kathleen Webb to Kathleen Scho rebuilding their show Live on the Office. I have not First of all, I have not agreed to be part of this podcast. I really think it's the worst decision. I have not agreed to it. Second of all, yesterday I'm thinking, because you said to me, we're gonna redo the jingles, we're gonna get new logos, and I thought, you know, if I'm gonna get a logo the although it's creative, I don't really like the purple and yellow, I'm not a fan of that looks like the l A Lakers. So we're scraping that completely. Totally understand that. So in my mind, because Scary and I are big Mets fans, I said to myself, if I was going to do a podcast with him, if we were going to share a logo, which we've never done, I would like it to be blue with orange lettering like my Mets, so we could have that bond start from scratch, new colors. And then so now he's he's giving me the impression he's already designed. He asked me to just scratch out Greg T's name and write David Birdie over it and keep the current Okay, here's what is what you could do. You could put a band aid graphic over Greg t and write my name in marker on the bandnick. No. I think that's funny for a day, but it's disrespectful of my pal Greg Tap. I would not know legitimately, like Tea worked very hard building the legacy of this show and building that logo, right, that is great logo. It's Greg and I like it. It's not my colors. I'm not a purple yellow green. Had a great idea. She's like, why don't the both of you were button down church. Tomorrow you come in and both of you are going to put your faces on your logo. Now, we didn't talk about color, so we can have the blue and orange. We didn't have that discussion yet, we have a discussion about color. No, we didn't. Okay, okay. The only way I put my face is you and I have animations of ourselves as we had cartoon versions done for phone tapping. Your face is gonna be so small that it's gonna be the first little color in the in the little corner, and it's going to be fine. But artist my face on the logo. You can't quit? No, come here, come here, Come here, because it's cursed podcast. Hold on a second. This is like, you know when there's a TV show and then the producers replaced one of the characters with somebody who looks kind of similar and then pretends that the character with the actor was never replaced. I don't look like Greg t and I don't act like when the mom in Fresh Prince was replaced and nobody said anything. And when wait a second, didn't that happen? On different strokes or facts of life? They replaced someone and they tried to pretend like the person. This is on the classic show be Witched. They replaced the husband, Darren with a guy with the same first name. He was Dick Sergeant was replaced by Dick Yorker the way around, right, and they just changed the husband. This is what I feel like this podcast is becoming. That's why I said I want a new podcast. It's it's a new beginning. Okay, you know Marvel Comics starts X Men one again. We have to start from episode one like this didn't happen. I'm not joining episode that's first of all. But if we rename it the off air show two point Oh okay, I don't know. Well, you know what, how don't we spell off air a WFF as an awful So okay, but but would you be opposed to having our faces on a logo? I don't want my face. I think it would be really cute. Like, there's this great podcast I listen to called the Acquired Taste Podcast and they have their faces on the logo, but one of them is photoshop. It's very good for branding. By the way, she's right, by the way. I spoke to Kathleen about this, and I'll tell her and I wasn't there. I love the Acquired Taste logo. I love the Acquired Taste Podcast. I think it's great. I think it's awesome that the three of you guys are on the actual logo. I think we there's gotta be a fun way to do this. Kathleen says that she's amazing with photoshop too. Yes, I can do it. Why don't you guys go on iTunes and look at some of the really cool, funky uh logos that they have. Her podcasts there and a lot of them have their faces on the faces on it. The ones I listened to don't yeah, but serial doesn't have the picture of the killer because it's not about two people, it's a story. It actually it actually draws people in. I think it'll take our podcast to the next level. If I'm going with my words. Don't draw people and no one's looking at my face saying I gotta listen to that podcast. That's not true. That's not true at all. That's not true. I mean it just it adds to the overall branding of the podcast. Look at that guy. He's got to be funny. What else does he have? He's got a try harder I mean, seriously, he's got a face for humor. Alright, alright, well we'll talk about this, but absolutely thank you. By the way, no copyright infringement. But Mets colors, Yes, I'm I want the Mets colors. I don't care blue, orange, and white. That's it, alright, and I have not confirmed. Let's say, first of all, let's see what the feedback is from the the current audience of this podcast. I guarantee you overwhelming support to have you on. By the way, I also so okay, so well, the alternative is you sitting in a room doing nothing by yourself for for no, I'll get other people. I listen, I would rather work with you. I truthfully was disappointed that you didn't ask me to do podcast a year and a half ago. I was too, but it wasn't my You know what I feel like now? I feel like you ever watched Parent Trap. I feel like I'm I'm the woman that the kids wanted all along, but you wanted the other woman, the blonde. I feel like every Hallmark movie the guy who's engaged, but then as the other woman. I feel like that. I feel like the one that that should have been here all along. No, no, not, I don't mean it to say it that way. You and Gregg did a great show. I listened, I enjoyed it. All I'm saying is if if he legitiately never wants to do this particular podcast again, I would be interested doing a podcast with you. I just think I don't mind the name. I think we should start fresh with episode one. This way, we know how many episodes we've done together. It's episodes a new start. Here's the problem, though, it's confusing to the listen listening to seven from the old episode, old one from the new season. Okay, scary, There'll be a year apart, I think, But we'll figure out that it's affair with Brody and scary and well, I'm sorry, what yeah, alphabetical order, Hold on second, No, you can't just switch. Well, of course, in fact, I had both Bald Freak Ranild in the back doing production for us on our our song, so we I don't know if we have that home. On a second, let me just tap in here. I was gonna surprise you the old way. Yeah, but just replacing teas name with mine makes it sound like the old show. You want to put some life into it, make it sound new, brody and scary. Oh so, how do you feel? I think that's great. Alphabetical order. On a second, I'm trying to get to bald Freak. Is he allowed to even take calls? Don't get them in trouble? He's gonna get in trouble free dancing the freaking phone. Sorry, I'm working, Hey, bald Freak ran, don't don't you think ron for a new start, for a fresh start? Off Fair with Brody and Scary sounds like it's a whole new thing. It does. An off air with Brody and scary sound like a whole new, fresh show as opposed to scary and then change the name. Yeah, thank you. Okay, Well, first of all, he's a musician, by the way, he has an ear for things. You did you happen to get that update for us, Go ahead, then take your time and come up with something new brody and scary the Aufair Show. Thanks they both freak love him. Bitch your childhood buddy. He was supposed to he was supposed to take Gregg T's name out and put yours. He just well, that's not gonna happen, and David Brody no, and then you're gonna scream, well, yes, no, I'm not. No, I'm not. That's that's T's thing. And I'm telling you, if he wants to come back, he's back. He's not coming back. He he wanted to do another podcast with me. He the two of us were going to work together. We were I feel like I should say my best stuff of fifteen minute morning show. Really that's the flanks. Okay, fine, all right, if you want to do that. Okay, let's see what listeners say. This is. By the way, this is not a radio bit where we're like, you know, we already had to figure it out and we're like, let's let's you know, call in for your songs and we'll play the one. Not I want to have people up here. I want to have like all our fun interns, Like we get so many stories that walk through the hallways every single day. Can I tell you this radio station. I'm not going to mention names, but one of my interns, because they do homework every week with they give any stories. But I have to tell the listeners this. Listeners don't know. I'm just like so many listen There's so many things that go on in a given day around here that never make it on the radio. I'm like, that's Radio Gold. Why is that not on the radio right now? So I want to feature some of those. There's something I want to get hold on. Okay, what are you doing, Brodie? Brodie is Oh my goodness, he's he's reaching for his joke sheet. Yeah. This this was something we did like ten years ago. What's that Elvis would read? Just the punch lines of the jokes we didn't get to. Oh so I only have two from today, and I'll never explain to you what what they referenced or ending. Um. This one says I celebrated with an eggplant and this one says I wouldn't do full nudity. So these are things that you wrote for Elvis to say on the R homever I whatever I do, I do for everyone on the show a little bit here, right, but right now they're out of context because we don't know what what right. This one says Elvis has top money, top money, hop money, and I underlined top top o. Now it doesn't matter what the setup was. Now it's like, figure, now, now you're gonna make me leave my you know, go through my day and wonder why what the jokes were that those were written for, because there would be a lot funnier obviously set up. No, I just that's that's the point of this segment. I'm just gonna read punchlines that didn't get used. Sometimes some of the best stuff I write we're at a time or someone doesn't see it, we go to commercial, and then you can't do it tem it doesn't make sense. Sometimes I tweet them out. What are your other rules? Brodie? Come on, give me some rules what to be a part of this podcast? David Brodie? Should we recap the rules so far? By the way, so I'm not looking to change rules on your podcast. I'm saying, do you want to do a podcast with me? I would feel more comfortable episode one. You could make this episode one if you want to have to. We have to make concessions on either side here. Okay, I don't know if I'm willing to give up the numbering system. I do like the fact that we're It means a lot. We've come a long way. The podcast Hey, listen, Saturday Night Live doesn't start over the number their episode nets don't start I mean, listen, these teams are just living, breathing animals, and people just leave and come and go. As as you're you're turning it, you're giving it lower the music, love it. You're giving examples of things that don't number themselves. The Mets don't take the field and go play ball episode Game seventy five. Okay, they don't do that, but people Saturday doesn't say Live from New York. It's episode one oh four that Jimmy Fallon show doesn't No no quest Love yells out the number. He yells Guarantee if Jimmy Fallon steps down and and somebody else gets the gig, they're gonna start over again, or he's gonna stop doing that thing. Because it's the no if it's still the Tonight Show with so and so and and and and glob on and quest Love is still there, I guarantee you they'll continue because in the tradition of the name show the same, it's the Tonight Show with blank fill in name here. That's why they call it. Quest Love is part of a band that got picked by Jimmy Fallon's people and Jimmy Fallon, but Jimmy show on CBS with it without David Let I mean, it's not a late show with who Stephen Colbert? Right, but it's called that. But they don't yell at the episode number. I don't want to start with number one. Alright, Well then you shouldn't have selected me, all right, next one? What's the next rule? The logo is blue and orange. I'll give you that. We'll do a blue at orange logo. Okay, okay, okay, you got me on that one. What else, Brody? What else? What else do you want? We don't use the same jingle alterned with my name thrown in you So you don't want you don't want the beginning of the show to sound that. I think again, I'm not looking to change your podcast. I'm looking to design our podcast. I think we should have a fresh, new sounding thing. Our Elvis, drand Mooring show has changed the music and the jingles of this the imagery of the show. Keep it scary and brody. Keep my numbering system. We'll go with the blue and orange and will change the jingle. There you go. See, we got two to the name or the numbers? Pick one? What are the name of the numbers? That's hid name of it. Those are the big things, those are the two big ones. You want to keep your name first? Of the numbering systems, We're gonna keep scary first. It sounds been episode one scary and brody or episode one forty nine brody and scary. But what you do know? You can't just come in here and get George the cleaning guy to co host with you. Son of a bitch, I can't know. I keep no, no, no a hall. Second, are you're being unrealistic? Why don't we put it on being realistic? Give me unreasonable? You're being no, you're being unrealistic. I'm being realistic. Realistically. I don't want the numbering system. Okay, let me tell you. Let's put it to the listeners. Let let the This is when great T and I got into fights. We always let the off air heads decide. And look where that got you. Tweet us. You guys broke up the tweet us at the fair show. Tweet us. Should we keep the numbering system the way it is or should we start at number one again? It's like calling out your ex husband's name. I don't want to hear his name. I want us to number but that doesn't meaning to me, and you don't want to hear what it sounds like. Bold Freak was willing to go in the studio because broad Freak is the one who does the production, does the voices on the opening jangle, So it could have been with Scary Jones and David. I think Ronnie is far more creative than to just change my name. I think he's gonna come up with a great sounding, new sounding The audience is gonna hear it. Go this is a new thing. Alright, fine, but I want but we're keeping it number brody and scary off air. No, it's not. Well, that's okay, that's that's that's what's important to What else is important to you? What I already said? Oh my god, also, uh, my interns are welcome to come in. You love them. I love them. Great topics, they amazing topics. We were having guests. I want to bring comedians in here. I also want to bring in occasional female co hosts, uh not of the morning show necessarily, but people that I think could be a good female for the day when Shares not available. Yes, perfect like that, Shar Shares going to continue with Shar of course, all right, that's cool. L g PT is welcome in here, And of course we have to abuse him because he he's supposed to be getting sponsors for the part. And there might be a day or two occasionally when I can't make the podcast. Okay, well that's another thing, but there'll be somebody here. This was always a fight with with the length of the podcast and the number of days. I don't care about the length, and that's when we tie you to talking. Okay. I used to think that we should limit it to fifteen and twenty minutes, but now I'm all about doing as much as little as we want for the day, whatever it feels like, whatever it feels right, Okay, good, and okay with that now, the number of days a week that's a problem. They wanted to do five days a week. Back in the day, Greg t and Bald Freak wanted to do five days a week. Well, they didn't do two other podcasts like I do. They wanted to do five days a week. And I'm like, you're killing me. I'm not on tap every week. I need Fridays off. So I needed Fridays off, but now I don't. And I said this, I don't want to do four podcasts a week. I think every other knock come on now at least once a week, maybe twice a week, I can give him. I can give twice a week on podcast. Okay, at least one. Let's agree on once a week for the first couple of weeks. If we're gonna do this, today counts as the test podcast, as the one that you're going to do this week. Right now, you're gonna look for feedback, and then next week we're gonna probably start fresh with new logos, new jingles and everything. All right, are you gad with that? Brodie? Episode one's gonna be so exciting. Think about it. Episode one. It's just it's like it's like saving yourself a marriage you have or or marrying someone who's slept around with a hundred and fifty guys. Sorry, I would rather be with the person who's like ready to go fresh, Like what can it? Let's start with a lettering system episode A. We'll do twenty six episodes and then we're ft. Well, now we'll do five episodes, A, B, B, C, C, D D six episodes, and then we're after then we're after h That was a joke. That was a pun. I think, all right, I see where you're coming. It's episode one of the off Air show with Scary and Brodie. That's right, it's a different thing Scary Jones and David Brodie or Brodian you want Brodian Scury. I don't know. I I'm you could go either way on that. You started this thing off air is your thing anyway? All right? So fine, all right, I'm willing to keep some of it. Liked it. Look how we look? How we're weelling maybe a great Normally two guys in our neighbor we're taking bats to each other. We would be I call like, I'd call my uncle. He knows the guy, you know, Yeah, I have a couple of uncles. That what happened to Scary I don't know. Have you seen him? No? No, last I knew he was wearing those cement pluck shoes, right, I saw him down by the ocean, sense by the bridge are doing there? By the dock? He was just there. I was searching for the Titanic anyway, Alright, cool, I like that. This is a good start, all right, And and yes, and I'm open to all things. I want to take phone callers. I love phone callers. The affair Okay, we gotta keep our affair army. Yeah, have an affair army there. I'm scared of them. I would never we were they were taining their positions. Now here's the thing. You're a good manager of people, David Brodie. I would like for you to help guide them because they have been looking for something to do with their positions. Gregg t assigned all these cabinet positions, and they've just been sitting here. And some of them have been taking some initiative and others have just been sitting there. I think that if you have a call to action for one or several of them, they're here for us. Let's figure this out, and then we'll figure out not getting rid of my fair army. The fair heads are forever. Oh no, of course, all right, just we have that understanding, and you don't mind if we bring people into the studio, like like L. G. Pete and like the best yelling Danielle comes in here sometimes, Danielle from the Long Island. We call Yelling Danie Yell and Danielle. Yes, she's great and I love Dane. Okay, when she comes back to work, we'll get her on. Yeah we miss her. Uh and yeah we have a ton of phone calls and people and stuff. All right, all right, good, I like this. This is a good start. Is that music to play out? You don't like that? That's fine. This is the theme of the show. I know what it is. Do you not like it? Can we end the show with this? Yes? Every day? Yes, so we can open with something else and we can end with this because it doesn't mention names. Yeah, this side, okay, this will be I feel like it. So this is uh the cussion? Can we say jack alone? Yeah, see, let's come up with something else. I guess fine, sat St
