Speaker 1: Start Up, dot Up, start Up, Brooklyn Boy, start Up, Brooklyn buys, start Up, up Up. They making noise dot Up, start Up Up, Episode three eighty five of the Brooklyn Boys podcast. What's going on? Did you swallow? David Brody? What are you talking about? Man? Not in general? Just now. Yeah, I'm David Brody. He's Scary Jones. All right, let's get to the point. What scary? Scary? Sitting down? He's like, allright, let's podcast. I'm like, I'm ready to go. He's all, hold on, right back, and he goes and he gets a big metal like water bottle, like a you know, like everybody buys those, Yeah, like the Stanley Ones and the right right right Yeddy, And it's got right, it's a huge. So I'm like, scary, something's up. So he's like, what are you talking about? Nothing's up? I said, scary. Either that's made by us. Hold on, I said, either that that the mug has a sponsored name on it, or you're drinking a product that's sponsored. There's no way you got up for no reason to get a mug. Well, okay, I'm parched. First of all, I worked out today. Something is up. So I worked out today Okay, I worked out, I went to the gym, and this is not rehearsed, by the way, this generally would just happen. And I'm high dehydrated, and I realized I haven't had my quota of water today. And you know, you're supposed to drink eight ounces of water, by the way, when you wake up. That's a new study before you drink any of the liquid. Eight ounces of water before your coffee. So it's just healthier for you to get the water going. So I said, if we're going to record for the next hour and change, I need my water. So I got up, so no strings attached. Get my mug. This is my metal hold on. I see writing on it. Do not read the writing on the mug. Why it doesn't say yety, it doesn't say Stanley and those are not sponges. No, I see it the as a company name on it. Do not mention the company name. Just live without sponsoring something. You were always up to something. You didn't bring that mug in for no reason. You went and specifically got that mug. I've never seen it before, never drank water on the podcast before. Just be honest, you're filming this. I'm not filming this. This is not being filmed. You wanted you want, you want to? I like that color blue? What is that so you can go, Oh, it's my new mug from blah blah blah. You know it's a product sponsors. It's the Ocean Casino Resort and casino. Stop it, what stop it? You're doing that? Just stop. I knew it. It came from there. Well, why can't you just drink drinks? Drink water and then just podcast Atlantic City's Finest Scary. I've been to your house. You have one hundred mugs and glasses, right, you have a whole kitchen cabinet. You went for that specifically before we started. You don't know that. For a fact. I think every Slice listener you don't know that. I'm all over the internet right now telling everybody that they could see Sebastian Maniscalco live. No, no, no, that's that's our boy. He's been on that podcast. And if you want to buy tickets, they're available at Ocean do stop it. Stop it. You're so transparent, but don't you think that's doing a service to let the slices know that's your Maniscalco and your pocketbook. No, a wallet your pocket. Sebastian's playing there and people should know to go. By goodness of your heart. You're like, oh, let me get a mug, which will remind me to promote Sebster mescalco. I also happen to be doing commercials on the radio for it. Somehow I knew it's so bad scary hit the jingle by himself. I didn't even have to ask him, well, because you're that was gonna be the next line out of your mouth. You are so blatantly obvious people. You have a friend like this who just you know they're lying or they're scheming. Whenever they do something, what leave us to talk back? What is the tell? What is the thing your friend does? Whenever they do it? You're like, oh, I know what they're about to do. Would never get up out of nowhere before we record and go get water the water in a sponsored mug. That's now. If we move on? Am I getting tickets to tour? Do you want to go? You advertise on my I can get tickets. I've got I've got a connect where I go. I'll let you all right, Well, all right, I'm clipping my my fingernails. Oh no, no, no, nope, either the nail clipper, a nail salon, or healthy nails from d LP one. No, no, no, You're not just clipping and stopping. I'm clipping my fingernails. This is not a this is not a commercial for you. It's got nothing to do with this. This is body maintenance. Okay, I mean, I mean maintaining my health. What's the matter Why Brodie's got you? He's he's palming, He's face palming you. I don't have enough hours in the day. There's nothing, there's no strings attached to this. I'm literally clipping your nails. I'm on the podcast. You clipping. I'm literally clipping my fingernails on the podcast. We're doing a podcast here where because they're far and I have slices. I apologize so far Scary has promoted a product it isn't advertised on this podcast, and now he's clipping his nails. Are you like, oh, I tuned into this podcast. I wonder what I'm gonna hear. You're gonna hear that. I listened to the Brooklyn Boys podcast before. Now I wonder what they're gonna do. There's really nothing up my sleeve on this one. And who are your slave sponsored body. Hey, quick question for you, and it's got nothing to do with anything I'm doing right now, because I want to talk about a product in the supermarket. Two products right now. When you're done, are you sure? Okay? No, I know We're to talk about two things that I've come across from the market and at at my friend's house. So ayd what are you gonna say? My question you, my Sharona, is if you buy air chilled chicken breast from the store and you're about to make whatever add air chilled, it means they left out in the cold. Oh no, that's the best. Oh okay, So Bell and Evans not a sponsor. They make the best quality organic air chilled. They air chill their chicken according to air chilled chicken dia. No no, no, no no. When you buy like you know, the chicken breast and the chicken drumsticks and the chicken thighs ailled refrigerator, no no, when you brody, brody, you got a lot to learn. Just you know what, let me educate you along with the slices. Here is it tends them? They make tendis now then an adults, you know when you buy chicken in the package in the grocery store. Okay, yes, it's all not that, you know, the perdue and all that stuff. It's old. Chicken is not created equal, all that chicken. When when when chickens are slaughtered whatever, however, they're prepared, all created, they're all created equal. They're all banging each other. Well, when chicken is fine, let's learn something here today, Brodie. Let me teach you a thing or two. When chicken is you know, uh killed whatever and prepared for the prepared for the grocer's refrigerator. Okay, before it gets there, the chicken has to be washed. And what they do is they take all these all this chicken, massive and massive amounts, and they wash them in this disgusting bath of chemicals and bullshit. And so a lot of times people will say that it puts junk in your chicken that shouldn't be there. It's unhealthy stuff. Bell and Evans doesn't do that to their They don't wash their chickens. Wait a minute, isn't Bell and Evans two thirds of Belle Evans devot No, No, get Bell and Evans. No sexy bath bends enob deaths are not sexy they're gross, so you want to avoid them at all costs. So bathing their breast. No, it's funny. Bell and Evans. They air chill their chicken. Picture chicken on a clothesline, just air chilling like chillen. You know. They they dry it out. They dry them that way, and they so they basically don't. They're not in some disgusting bath with all these other chicken. Wait a minute, Wait a minute, Wait a minute, And it's in congruous. Why are they drying if they haven't been bathed. No, no, they haven't. They're not put in a in a chemical bath. So what are they hosed off? Whatever they do, they do to them, but they do it in a very in a much more clean way. So so anyways, Fell and Evans is just one of the several brands that do that. So anyway that you fell for it. So yeah, so I bought my I bought my Bell and Evans air chilled organic chicken. It's you know, it's expensive. But here's the problem. It's the summertime and I'm not cooking. I try and cook. I have intentions. I have intentions to cook. Oh, you have concepts of a cook. I have the idea that I want to cook, but then is it in my in my refrigerator, and the shit goes bad. So I had this I bought a couple of weeks ago. It had an expiration date of July twenty ninth, and I never is it best buy used by? Or is it? I don't know. It's the fresh chicken. It was fresh chicken. Never. It was fresh, never frozen in the package, and it was sitting in my refrigerator, so I never did freeze it. And July twenty ninth came and went, and I forgot all about it. And then yesterday, I'm August fourth, I said, you know what, I'm gonna make that chicken tonight, and I pulled it out of the refrigerator. I'm like, ah shit, it expired on the twenty ninth. Then I thought about it and I don't know how much I paid for it. I'm like, fuck it, I'm gonna cook it anyway, and I made I made chicken cutlets. But my question was you writing Panco. I had the leftover Panco. God damn it, you're wounded it again. But that's not That's not the question you made tenders. Is what you did? Did I am I am I gonna die? Yes? No, I mean, at what point do you you're not fuck with chicken? Did you smell it? Did it smell? Okay, smell it looked fine, it was and it was in it was vacuum sealed in the refrigerator. Now vacuum sealed. You're okay. But let me ask you a question. Let's say it was another week. No, Let's say you saw it before it expired, but you were going away for a few days. Then I throw the freezer. You'd freeze it even though you deliberately paid twice as much because it was never frozen. Yes, because it freeze. Because yeah, I've done it a lot, that a lot before. If I don't, if I don't use it up, it's in it up at its expiration date, I'll freeze it until then when you defrosted. How does it taste? It's great. No, it's fine, I said. Then why do you pay extra for chicken that's never been frozen if you're going to freeze it? Oh, you don't want to buy frozen chicken? Why it's the same as buying chicken out of your own freezing. It's not the same. Yeah, it's the same. You pay. Well, it's the idea. It's the idea that you're going to use it before you freeze it. But anyway, either way, I you're gonna die. Yeah. Now, I just don't know if I if I did a bad thing taking submissions for a co host for the Brooklyn Boys podcast. No, I don't. I don't know. At what point do you cut bait on fresh meat, fresh poultry, fresh fish? Like, where do you you know? I smell it? But here's the thing, I if you google it, Ai'll tell you that smelling it isn't always the one hundred percent fool proof way to check because some bacteria doesn't smell. Yeah, but it was vacuum seals. I think you're okay. Yeah, I think it was probably a best best best used by when we've had this conversation on the podcast, best used by versus an expiration date like milk. When you see that expiration day on the milk, that's an expiry date. That's done it. Don't don't drink that. You get to get lumps. Yeah, a lot of lumps. But all right, led Zeppelin, a whole lot of lumps. No, Still, it's still a peopuma Pete Puma. So, so yeah, I'm just wondering, have you you know what point what food and what where I give I give it. I give it the six day rule for me, yeah, because I know if I give it six days, I'll stretch it to seven. But if I seven, say seven, I'll stretch eight. So really technically it's a week. I figure they're looking out for me. They want the best quality taste and if it has a little bit less taste, and I'm okay, yeah, but I know after I get it depends what it is. Well, because so so here's an example, she can get salmonella quickly, like you don't want to yes around with. That's why I was concerned. That's why I brought it to the podcast. But I'm also concerned you didn't need it. Well, it was expensive, so I figured, fuck it, I'm gonna take it. It might have been a question beforehand, going to take before you eat it, like if it was in the refrigerator. Now, like David, should I should I eat this tonight? I might say maybe not. Well, I'll say this on the Big Show. Froggy was asking us off the air, you know if it was okay to eat this peanut butter that inspired in February or Best Buy February twenty twenty six, and both me and Scottie B at the same time exclaimed, go for it, you're fine, and then we were split half the room, like, get the fuck out of here. You gotta throw that away. Listen, short of finding like some kind of fungus on it, or something growing or fuzzy or or being rantid, you should just you could use it. I think that's a ploy, you know, for Big Peanut Butter and those companies, you know, Big Peanut Butter, is to put an expiration date on it and make you buy more peanut butter because I don't want to throw it out on the ingredients of peanut butter, it's not going to go. I think you're fine from February to July. February to July, Okay, yeah, August, I think an extra couple of months of peanut butter. I think you're fine right now. At one point, maybe I want to say it was two thousand and five, maybe, yeah, I was at my in law's house in there in there get weekend home, and they had a jar of peanut butter that was made of glass. Now glass peanut butter has not been made. The label was clearly man in the early eighties. Wow, I was like that, you gotta throw out Yeah, twenty year old peanut butter in a glass jar that has a label clearly like that. It was a white label that had been browning. Yeah, but I think six months you're okay. Now what about that? What about the time that I ate sour kraut a year later? I mean, it's already sour. So is it gonna go bad? It's sour kraut. I it's cabbage, but I don't know. I don't know, it's pickled. It's in that that you know, whatever it is. By the way, I just want to reiterate because, in case you haven't heard the episode a few hundred episodes ago, I talked about Shopright. If you look at the ingredients of a bag of shop right suer kraut, the ingredient list is sour krout, as it should be, Sarah, scary. Sour crowd is not an ingredient. Sour krowd is the ploduct oh so cabbage. So it's interesting saying what are the ingredients in the list? Lasagna? And you turn it over on the box. It says lasagna, so it should have said cabbage and and vinegar and grin whatever they used to write it said ingredients. Soukrap, that's that's not okay. What's the ingredients in that? Ketchup? Ketchup, ketchup? Okay. I want to talk about Oh we come back, talk you about two things, two products I need your opinion on or I want to give an opinion on. Now scary. I'm a big fan of pulled pork, but when it's in a barbecue sauce, I don't like it dry. I don't like shredded pork like I don't. I don't want to go to a pulled pork sandwich were like the sauce is in it in it'll squeeze bottle on the side. I like to buy a tub, like a little plastic tub of barbecue sauce pulled pork or pull chicken in a barbecue sauce, and I normally get Lloyd's, not a sponsor, they make ribs. Get Lloyd's great. Yeah, Okay, Now I want you to tell me which of these two they were roughly the same price, both of them available at the same supermarket. Okay, I, oh, maybe I'll try a different brand, Lloyd's. On the top of the label. On the top of the lid, it says fully cooked seasoned pork, huge letters in original barbecue sauce. I'm gonna hold up the picture for you. Scary you see that. Yeah, I'm the lid Lloyd's. Yes, fully seasoned shredded pork in original barbecue sauce. Sounds good. Now I want you to read Curlyes. I'm gonna hold up the picture of Curly's lid. Curly's hickory smoked pulled pork. Read the lid to me, scary Curlyes barbecue sauce with pulled pork. Ahi, Which would you buy Lloyd's? Would you buy the would you buy the in barbecue sauce or barbecue sauce that happens to have pulled pork? Right? I would buy Lloyd's because it sounds like more of a hearty meal, like I'm getting real I'm getting a lot of the pork in there. And yeah, and it's see it's got the barbecue sauce on it. That does sound like it's they're gonna You're gonna get They're gonna be chinsey with the pork. Chinsey. Yeah, it's a it's a tub of barbecue sauce. And look, I'm going digging like Bob and for apples. Hey, hey, how do I found some pork in there? And then how what kind of marketing department is that? Or is that truth in advertising where there's no pork in there? Well, what did you discover it? Did you did you? What did you do? I'm not buying the Curly's one. Yeah, yeah, I'm not doing the curlies. You're not doing the slices. Have you had Curly's barbecue sauce with pulled? That was like Carolina with Greg T. Remember that morning show? Yeah right, it wasn't Carolina and Greg T. It wasn't Greg D. It was Carolina with Greg This is the Carolina with Greg T of barbecue sauce. Yeah, that's yeah. They're trying to trick the consumer on that one. I hate that. I don't like that as the show is. I'm not gonna mention the names, but there's an afternoon show on the sports station here in New York and it's Celebrity with Guy. That's the name of the show. Really, it's the Celebrity Show with that guy. That's because because one guy's a big star, he's a big name. The other guy is an up and comer with some very talented but the name of the show is big name show with that guy. So most of the time the jingles all say big name show and sometimes they go and with that guy wow, so they don't even give the guy credit. But it's like with and that's how I feel about Curly's barbecue sauce. Barbecue sauce with pulled pork. Who's buying that? They should only be saying they should only sell Curly's barbecue sauce when Lloyd's is not available, right, like, if it's the only one, to just be honest, just make it barbecue sauce. Why even bother with the pork. Don't do me any favors. Fuck you. At that point, I'm gonna buy my own pork and put it in and I'll just use your gud damn sauce. But it's the same price. It isn't even like. It isn't like, oh, I can save two dollars, I get less pork. Yeah, well, who's buying a top of barbecue sauce with some pork in it? See that? That's where you failed me, Brodie, because if that was me and I saw that, inquiring minds want to know, I would buy them both, take them home and do the experiment and see with whose money? I mean with mine, of course, I mean, oh, then go ahead and do that for me. That's all right. I could take it out of project, take it out of the Brooklyn Boys slush fund. We don't have a slush fund. We can't even afford slushes. What are you talking about. I would love a slush all right? The next product up for sale? Now, scary, you've done this, and I know lots of people have done this. Have you ever have a friend or a loved one, your spouse, you're out to dinner, you're out somewhere, they have food, and they go here, try this. It's terrible. Yeah, all the time, and I always and I fault them for it. I'm like, really, this tastes like shit, and you want me to sharing that experience? Thanks? Good looking at me? Oh, I'm over my friend paper menus how us And we're standing in the garage. He has the door open on the garage, so we're on the driveway. The garage drove open and he's got a refrigerator in the garage and it was hot out. He goes, hey, uh, you want to drink? Yeah, I'll tell you yeah, because you want to water? Yeah, I'll take a water. What was the fridge that He goes, says, uh, you know what instead of water? You wanna power drink like a chocolate power energy drink. No, I'm good. The water is good. How about a diet sprite? Now the water is good. Oh? You know what? I got this new product. It's uh, I just just found it. We have what a whole case of it. It's sprite with tea. Have you ever seen this? Scary? No diets sprite with tea. Why does the world need this? I don't know, but I'm gonna show it to you so you can see it, and I'm gonna put it up on my Instagram page. There it is on the label bright and there's a yellow stripe. It says with tea plus plus. Okay, he says, yeah, try it. You like iced tea? Love iced tea? He goes, oh, this is sprite with iced tea. I said, oh, is it like iced tea with lemon? Lime soda? Like tea with lemon? It's tea with lemon lime soda, the sprite and seven upper lemonon or is it more like an Arnold Palmer where it's like lemonade and iced tea? Right, I'm like, oh, that sounds interesting. So I opened the can up and as as I go to sip and he goes, yeah, he goes, if you like it, you can take the rest of them home. It tastes like shit. So I say, what, why why do you give it to me? Because well, you might like it? Because I hate it. My wife hates it. It's terrible. Now, but try it, you might like it. Or if they loved it, would he still have been so cavalier and told you to take them home? No? Well no, he would have still offered me one. He's this generous guy. The point is he's like, try it. It tastes like shit. So I'm like, well, you know what, maybe he doesn't like die it's frite. Then it just like I I'll try it. Yeah, Just what's scary what it tastes? Tastes? It's like shit? Yeah, you have this hi similar opinion. You know what I don't like. It's pretty obnoxious when you're sitting at dinner with somebody and uh, they want you to try their meal after they're done with it, like oh right, yeah, okay spittle for yeah. It's like, oh, you can't eat anymore. You're finished, and now you're offering me some. Now you're generous. Hey you want some? It was great, but I can't eat anymore. No, fuck you. You should have You should have offered me some at least from the beginning to halfway through. You eating that. Fuck that. I hate that. That's so wrong. People are Okay, that's rude. How about this? How about this? How about what one of my friends, the one who didn't get me the water bottle that time when we went out, I went and I got I went out, I jumped out of his car, bought the water bottle. He never thanked me or gave me the money. That one. He doesn't take leftovers home when we go to restaurants. He has every excuse not to take leftovers home. And I go, hey, what are you doing? That's half a steak. Yeah, no one's gonna eat it. I go, you have a dog, give it to the dog. Nah, it's got onion seasoning, gonna kill a dog. Can't get mistake this, This mistake is so I said, you wasted half a steak. Take it home. You leave it to me. Now, I know myself, I won't eat it. And every time we go out he's like, no, this is barely anything there. He got the third of a hamburger. Nah, I'm not gonna eat it. And he won't take any left or his home. So we're out to dinner the other night and he's got this pasta dish and you know, you put your fork into the pasta. You put your fork into the pasta, fork into the pasta, and you eat like a hundred bites of pasta. And there's a decent amount of pasta left here. He had an appetitil he split an appetizer and he's like, I got so. I said, uh, I say, the way we need to to to go containers. He says, I'm not taking this home. I said, you barely touched it. He goes, you want to take it home? I said, oh me, he is, yeah, you take it home. I go, I'm not eating your pasta. You've been forking all night. Would you take a friend's food home that he's been sticking his fork in and his mouth in, forking your mouth back in the pasta forking. It depends on what it is. If it's like don Angie lasagna, I'm in Yeah, but that's pre port, that's like proportion swirls. I'm talking about like Noki yoki, just like he had dug into the nilki back. Yeah no no no no no no no no no by no no no no no no. If you want to give me half a steak and you cut off the part where you're forking knife were touching, then the other half is untouched. But you can't get me forked up pasta. I'm not down with opl other people. You can't be hunt a quadruple dipping, hunt like a hundred time dipping. You're sticking your fork. Oh, noking, noking, noking, noking, Nokay, I'm done. You want to take it home? And you know what, not only not only no no no, no no. That's a g n O to you, pal bright g n O y who's doing that? Fuck you take? Are you eating your other your friend's food, not your girlfriend, not your husband? Some guy your friends would for a long time, he's been forking his food all night in and out of his mouth. Let us know, all right, all right, we'll be right back. It's the Boys podcast. I have something for you, David Brody. Oh is it a sponsor? Well, I wanted to I wanted your opinion on something. Oh, it sucks. Thanks. For whatever reason, on Friday or Saturday night or Sunday night, actually, ABC decided to run Cocktail. I don't know why. I don't know the significance of it, but it was so arbitrary and weird that ABC would think, huh, Sunday night, we have to run a movie here fill two hours of network programming. Let's just grab this random shit movie from nineteen eighty eight and play it. So anyway, they ran it. I watched it, and I remember watching it as a kid, and I thought it was the best film ever. Me and my friends, we went to my friends and I we went to the movies and we saw in the movies and I was four teen, fifteen years old, and it was such a great film. And and I haven't seen it since then. And then I saw it the other night, and I'm sitting there and I'm wondering, why the fuck did I like that? This is a piece of trash. Tom Cruise's acting is abhorrent. There's no character development in it. The dialogue sucks. It's just so cheeky and weird. And then I find out Rotten Tomatoes gave it like eleven percent, which is awful. It sounds like a movie from the eighties, That's what it sounds like. Yeah, why why is it that the stuff that we And this is a larger conversation, why is the stuff that we asked? What we grew up with? We remember one way, but now all these years later, we look back on that same shit and it's it's shit, it's garbage. And I can trust you were watching it as a fifteen year old or a sixteen year old when that movie came out, right, yeah, teen whatever you write you So as a fifteen year old, you're like, oh, boobies, And now you're like, no, I see pull And I mean, that's that's what it's, you know what I'm you know, saying, like you saw a movie and the and when if you saw Porky's it's a classic old time movie and and there was a little bit of nudity and there was a shower scene and now it and it was like, oh my god, it was so risky. It was like everyone was talking about it, like if the kids couldn't go see it, And now you're like, and I just think we look back on things, especially sitcoms. You can go to with sitcoms and music and fashion clothing. As a teenager, I used to think Company was the best show ever and so clever and so funny time. But you're desensitized because now you're like, oh, I like edgy your humor. Why couldn't they have?
00:27:40
Speaker 2: Like?
00:27:40
Speaker 1: But what part of what made that funny? Is what made Howard Stern funny? When he was on AM radio. It was the creative way he could say dirty things right. It was the way he titilated the audience in a creative way. Now he's on he's on satellite and go oh fucking tits on that one. But back in the day, like wow, she's got some hooters or like he said hooters. But okay, remind me I have a breast question. Aask forward to today. Are there fifteen year olds watching some film or show on wherever on Netflix and they're really into it and it's awesome and they love it, and then they're going to look back on it twenty years down the line, thirty years down the line and be like, what the fuck was I thinking, or has these shows gotten smarter with smarter dialogue, better writing, and you know whatever, and they will stand the test of time better than our shows did for our time. Look, Friends is considered one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, right, se Seinfeld holds up? No, it doesn't. No, I mean it, Okay, some of the stuff does. Some episodes don't because they didn't have cell phones and they were like, You're like, oh, well, be on cell phone, that wouldn't happen. Friends holds up, except when you watch it now, you're like, wow, there was holding any black people on the show, and they made fun of fat people and gay people, like some of the dialogue doesn't hold up, Like what you have you have to look at it through a lens of nineteen ninety five The Office. Same thing I'm saying, But these are smart, funny shows. But what I'm what I'm getting at was is that we was every fucking If you go down the list of all the shit we watched in the eighties and even nineties, was that really that gard Was it really garbage? And was it they? Was the bar set so low?
00:29:27
Speaker 2: No?

Speaker 1: Because that was the bar, Like that was just you know what if you look at cartoons, or is it because we were looking at it from that perspective of that time. It can't be both ways. Either the writing always sucked and we didn't recognize it, or okay, I'll give you know what I'm saying. In nineteen ninety seven, ninety six, ninety seven. Yeah, for ninety ninety seven, it was a cartoon called The X Men. People loved it. It was groundbreaking animation, groundbreaking storytelling. Everybody loved it. Now Disney brought it back, they called it X Men ninety seve and so you'd know it's the same show from nineteen ninety seven and it's terrific. But when they do flashback scenes and they show the animation from nineteen ninety seven that was groundbreaking, it looks like shit. It looks terrible compared to the animation today. So, just as a perfect example, it's like you didn't realize your record album sucked until you heard a CD. Then you heard an MP three, you know what I mean. So you accepted cassettes when that was your era. You're like, oh, I love cassettes. I don't mind flipping them over in the middle of a song because I ran out of record time. Now, you would never imagine you had to, Like you recorded an MP three and it ran out of MP three room and you had to put the second part of the song on a second file. You'd never do that. So that's life, man, whatever you're living in, you accept. It's like we accepted flip phones. Now, you'd never use a flip phone. But when flip phones came out, you're like, oh my god, I can flip my phone and walk around with a flip phone. Now we're going back to by the way, this Apple's coming out with a flip phone. Yeah, I know. And you could fold the Android phone. You get. My point is everything is new. The shittiest cell phone was groundbreaking technology and we loved it. Now you're like, look at that brick. It's like that with everything everything you watched. Someday Euphoria, when kids watch the next Euphoria in ten years, it's going to be actual nudity and sex and drug use. You're gonna shove and see people shooting needles into their arm, and it's not going to just be like, oh, he shut an eel in his on. But with films and writing, they always had creative control. Hollywood always had to control to do what it did, what it still does today. Was the quality just not there was. That's what I'm really asking here Forget a lot of these other stuff doesn't really relate, you know, but with with something that is a written piece of work, an actual Like eighties music was all goofy synthesized keyboards, right yeahm Now everyone's like I like musicians who play their own instruments and right on songs. People, whatever the bar is, somebody comes along and raises the bar. Everyone was listening to hair metal, right, and hair bands and poison and water such cheese now okay, but I loved it at the time. Right then Nirvana came along and Metallica and they were like, we're gonna wear jeans and T shirts on stage. We don't need that. Do you still view that music the same way you did when you were fifteen? I'm talking about Slaughter and Warrant and I just mentioned some of them Twisted Systems. Listen, I love that music, but I don't put it on the same let. Now, if you look at a band like Rush, Rush wrote a higher level of lyric and musical composition the test of time that has stood the test. Led Zeppelin people put a led Zeppelin record on fifty years later and be like, oh, led Zeppelin beatles some scary you work. It's you work at the biggest pop radio station in America. Right. The music is disposable. There are some great state there are some songs that will Okay, sorry, yes, don't hold on Taylor Swift. Okay. We've talked about this every year. Every year. Look at jingle Ball. Look at a poster. I want everyone to google jingle Ball poster nineteen ninety nine, two thousand and five, two thousand and seven. Look at the lineups. People were dying, killing themselves to get tickets to those shows. And a year and a half later, most of those artists are gone, gone. Alright, that's thank you. That is that is the way the world works. Stuff is created that fits that moment, and then it's done. It's like slang. Everyone was like, oh, salty af Now you're like, oh, look at the old dudes. Yeah yeah, ok, nobody says it anymore. So that's everything is like that. Whatever you like right now, you're convinced. I'll love it forever. I'll wear these jeans forever until those jeans are out of style and you're not wearing those jeans anymore. So I think to answer your question, sitcoms were designed to be cheesy, but they weren't cheesy because that was the word old. People were dressing like that. People were having sex all over the place and doing cocaine everywhere, and it was the eighties were wild. So that was that. See, I don't remember that because I I it wasn't a child of the eighties. I grew up in a later time, you know, with Nicki Minaj. But I worked with people that were doing coke at work and drugs and I didn't do it, but it was prevalent. It was like, oh, it was like people vape. Now, oh I'm vaping. I'm vapor They were snorting coke the walk in refrigerator. That's correct. So the eighties were messed up time and guys dressed like women, teased up their hair and bon Jovi and what's changed. Yeah, well, anyway, I think I think sitcoms. By the way, there's very few sitcoms. Yeah, yeah, it's a whole yeah, right exactly. But sitcoms are pop music. Sitcoms are designed to be goofy in the moment, whatever the humor is at that moment. All right, fair enough. King of Queens wouldn't have worked in the eighties. No, it also probably wouldn't work now. Yeah, it was perfect for its time. All Right, we're getting a little too cerebral. Well, nobody loves Raymond anymore? All right, we'll be right back. Is that right? Was that my cue to take a break? Maybe? Okay? I like you know Todd from remember Todd, the radio guy. Todd you had to go to commercial after one of his jokes. Yeah, leave a high, hit the button, hit the button, leave on a high. Let's try it again. Nobody loves Raymond anymore? Scary and verdie, your timing is terrible. Radio was like that too. It was wacky and zany. Even when we first the Morning Show first signed on. I remember in the nineties it was very much like we got to put a put a drop from a movie. Here. Ringing the bell, I still ring the bell, and I've added to the to the arsenal. I now have a mini cow bell, a mini cow bell that I ring. Yeah, sometimes I ring the bells. You know, when it's time, when people win money, we need some fanfare. But that's it, but we don't like it's not every like five seconds. You know, see, because you're a child of that era, do you think it's good? Mean, while the's people going, why is he ringing on cowbells? Why is he ringing the bell? Yeah? Somebody asked. If somebody asked if I have a tick, They asked, because you can't help yourself. Not because for whatever reason they think that. I oh, because every time Garrett from our show comes on and does the sound clips, I scream, I go Garrett, just like that, And so it's become a thing. So I said, you know what, and Elvis read the text and I said, all right, well you know what, Maybe I'll stop doing it if it bothers you. But then then like twenty five people come to the rescue're like, no, I love that. I scream it with you. I think it's it's cute. In radio, people are conditioned to hear things. It's like, remember intern Claire. Yeah, why do we call her intern Claire? Because people remember her? His Interurn Clare. That was her name, understand, And so you are Garrett that there's no reason for it. People always texting why does he do that? Why does he say that? Because you do. Because they do. It's because why would why would know somebody a happy birthday? I say it like Frosty the Snowman when he comes to life, right, happy happy birthday? Yeah, something like that anyway, And by the way, slices, I know anit awards sang ring my belt. I just didn't the scary was talking. Think I missed it. I'm sorry I didn't get there. You did it. That's okay, that's okay. We were talking earlier about Howard Stern would say creative ways to say like tits on the radio. Okay, there's a podcast I could say that. I have a question for the well, for everyone listening, but especially those in a relationship or who currently have larger breasts. It was a story on the news last week. A week before this guy is suing his boss, who's like a CEO of a company for sexual harassment. Says she was harassing him, sending him sexual emails and hitting on him, and he felt like he didn't get promoted because he didn't you know, the usual. But reverse he was harassed by her, and in one of the emails that or text messages she sent to him that he was using his proof that he was harassed. She wrote, you know, either something like I bet you would love to see my big juicy cannons or come over and I'll show you my big canons or something. And the female co host of this cable news show I was watching were like, I don't know if I believe this. Would a CEO really refer to her own breasts as cannons? That sounds like something the guy would write, like to her or up to his friends, but that she wouldn't refer to her own large breast as I can see what did he mean by that? Yeah, so I look Desbamb's desire who listened to our show? She refers to her own boobs as bombs. But I'm wondering, ladies, how many of you have nicknames for your breasts, especially because they're large? Like do you call like guys that like would joke around back into Elia you see the bazukas on our or a nice rack or the bombs or blouse puppies. There's two torpedo tip. But I'm wondering what women not as a goof to your husband, but like do you really call them that? Do you have a name? Like would you have said to a guy as right, did you do that?
00:39:32
Speaker 2: Was?
00:39:33
Speaker 1: Is there a word? Let us know, let us talk about go to the radio app at the microphone button and leave us talk about. But yeah, that's a little Yeah, I don't feel this. Have you ever dated a woman's women that use crass words for their own genitalia? Yeah? I mean. Have you've never dated anyone who's like, uh oh, I gotta go, I gotta go put the uh the old bazukas. No, because I've always I don't. I've never dated a big boomed woman. All my girlfriends have always been part of the anty bitty titty committee. And I'm fine with that. Are they fine what you're saying that, I'm well, they're gonna have to be because I already I just did. I guess it's out there now, you know. I'm thinking back to all of the girls you've been with that, I know, to all the girls I've loved before. What and Willie Nelson? It's both of them? Duet anyway, continue, well, no one was a remake anyway. Uh m hmmm, it was. It was Julioglesius. Yeah. Sorry, I had to take a ship from my ocean resort Casino mug stop it hit the jingle? What hit the other jingle? Thank you? All right? So I I can't remember any of your girlfriends, not that I remember, but now that you pointed out, I'm like, I guess, yeah, okay, yeah, think about it. Yeah, okay, I don't want to think about too long anyway. Sorry. So, yeah, I've never been in a situation where women in my life have all right, yah situation. Oh okay. Album was that off? Upstairs at Eric? It was upstairs at Eric. That's everything was off that album. That's I don't know any other songs from him that are not on that album. Okay, yeah, yes, right, but but that album and the guy from Ratio, there's the both of them. All right, Continue, Vince Vince Clark. Continue. Vince Clark sings a song called Continue. I don't know anyway, I don't know. Okay. By the way, what's what's that guy's name? Luke Bryan? Is Luke Bryan who has that song that everyone's making fun of on on Instagram and TikTok which one? Oh, what's the name of the song? Hold on? Hold on? Are you looking it up? Hold on? Yeah, it's Luke Bryan. Luke Bryan has a song called fish Hunt Golf Drink gets to the point, doesn't it. Yeah, well, but it's like, I I don't know if he wrote it as a goof on country you know radio stereotypes. Oh right, right, fish Hunt Golf Drink. But it's like wake Up, Coffee, Camo, climb Tree, not even climb trees, it's climb Tree. So everyone's making fun of him and then doing their own their own songs like you know, shower Yodo rental right. I have not, By the way, my algorithm is not serving me well because I've never seen these. The comments section on his video that he posted is fucking brutal, and for a while he was commenting back, Luke Bryant would be like, well, I'm say you don't like it, but you know it's catchy. People like it. People are just they like just trashing this song in the comment section, and it's but so many people now are doing parody videos. He's only does his list like redneck shit and I don't mean read neck country cliches in this song, and it's like, you know, yeah, took a league, took a dump, wipe my butt, wash my hands. I I haven't heard fish hunt golf drink. It's quite the But listen, all his songs are a little on the like lowest commented easy lyrics yea and not. He's not writing lyrics like Rush. But he's catchy his hell and he's good, he's funny. He's a nice guy too. But this song is just getting I know. He probably made a million millions of dollars on Spotify of this song, and he's gotten social media hits. But the comments people fucking hate this song, but also are listening to it. So let me know if you know the song, if you like it or not, or you think it's kind of a goof. You know, I got to say the Morning Show really put one over on me, pulled one over on me. I don't know what you want to pull the wool over my eyes? What do you want to call it? Or it's you? How hard could that have been? And they all bought the Brooklyn Gray BMW. Well it's crazy, becase because we have an internship program and no kidding that I ran for over twenty oh did you now? Well yes, it's now run by someone else. So how many of the current interns have gotten their run morning shows? There's only what's too soon to tell. So this one girl who's been with us all semester, it was her last day the other day, and you know, you might have seen a clip of this slices. I did, Yes, I did too, now that you're talking about it, Okay, I did see something about horror and I but I it was the show and I zipped it through it. It was funny because she tells me in front of everybody on the morning show that she had been having she had this secret that she had been holding in since day one of her internship, and that was that her mom was my first crush in elementary school in fifth grade. Yeah, you had a crush on this intern's mother. Yeah when when? And the whole morning show revealed it. They're like, yeah, we've been holding on to this scary We wanted to let you know on her last day here that Julie's mom is the girl that used to be in love with when you were in the fifth grade. And they caught me. I mean you could see the video. It's it's bad. Does Julie know that you were in love with her mother? Because when you got the internship, the mom knew you were in love with her. Yeah, of course. Oh yeah, but the but this, I'm going back fucking forty thirty seven years, thirty eight years. How old was she at the time. We were both in the fifth grade. It was it was puppylove. Is that where you got your affection for anybody? Titty committees? So I'm not even going to answer that because it was the fifth grade. Okay, So yeah, you were, and you were in the fifth grade, and so was she. But my point was, at the time she was either you know, very shy, very mean, whatever the case. Oh so it had to be her her fault, not yours. Well, well, I mean, if you look look at pictures of me Google picture of me in the sixth grade, I looked like a fucking dork. I would not dating. I would not date. You weren't unlike now. But you weren't in radio back then. You didn't have any sponsors back then. No, you know, but it was poppy love. It was innocent. It was my first crush. And they called it. Sorry all right, paul Anka. So you know, so they then they wild this is all going on live on the podcast. They put her on the phone with me. They had called her up, and she confronts me on the phone. Now the mother, the mother. Yeah, so I got to talk face to face with Mike. Not exactly sixth well, sixth grade crush, fifth grade crush. The thing is, it was a very important incident that happened back in the I guess the seventh grade because I thought I was. It was a couple of years later. Now, did you pitch a tent? No, in the seventh grade, I bought I bought her flowers. Oh, and was back when you used to care. I gave them to her and she stepped on them. Oh did you know this? No, Like she threw them on the ground, and she threw them on the ground, and she stomped on them. And and so this was a story that now I was told by other friends that she had stepped on them, and that was the story I took away with me my whole life. After that, I'm like, oh, she, Oh my god, that's affected your whole life. That explains every she fucking stepped on Why you buy expensive clothing? She stepped on my flowers from fifth grade. So here we are, all this is now unraveled, live in front of me. Her daughter's been interning for me for the last two months. The mom is on the phone, we're talking, and then the moment of truth happened. The flowers I gave you that you stepped on that people said they stepped on Did you actually Elvis pointedly asked her, So, what's the deal. Did you actually step on the flowers? Or was that just hearsay and she stepped on them? No? But because I was mean back then, I don't know I was. You know, sometimes you're socially a fifth grade you're awkward. You want to do step on them though you're immature, and we're all immature in the fifth grade. She probably liked Three's Company back then. Whatever it is, it's just very funny. Anyway, it was great. And look at me now, bitch, I'm on the radio. Oh no, I got an apartment with a broken window that's goust to be five thousand dollars to fix. But her face has Manhatten just tell her that, Oh you think I should have like said, hell, look at me now, that's look at me? What are you? What are you up to?
00:48:35
Speaker 2: Huh?
00:48:35
Speaker 1: I'm on the radio for thirty Oh come on, it's not like that. That's sour grapes. Why would I do that because he stepped on your flowers. So wait, let me get this straight. It was Elvis. I would have been like, what, who are you married to?
00:48:49
Speaker 2: Now?
00:48:49
Speaker 1: Is he on the radio? If you were in my shoes and this was all you that this happened to, you would have taken this opportunity to be in your face. Mitch. Come on, absolutely, you don't think I've done that. You don't think I implied that to girls that I may have been involved or interested in back in the day who snubbed me. Really? Oh, I I reached out to them on Facebook just to say, Hi, Oh, what are you up to? I'm on the radio? Not much? Can't the fuck out of here? David Brody, I didn't know this, not in a spiteful way, but there were some Uh, there were some overtures made towards some women when I was younger that were not necessarily interested. When you harbor these awful feelings, you filed it away for a later date, and now you're like, ha, nou David Brody. I didn't harbor it from the Elis. I wasn't angry about it, but I was like, huh, but you're an opportunist and you when and if you came to the if you've fat, so you reach out on Facebook, K, how are you? If I was you, I would have said something. But it's me. Those women, knowing that I was sort of famous back in the day, would still not be interested me. So it's not like they're like, oh, look at him now he's on the radio. I just wanted to make myself feel better. But in your situation, you should have said to her, well, I guess you should have uh not stepped on the flowers. You could have been going to a Ruba with me, and and on party planes and on cruises, every little bit of this fucking gravy train for the past thirty years. You could have been going to Atlantic City to see uh Sebastian Manascato in the ocean casinos. All right, all right, right, she could have been gone with you, so you would rub their nose in it. You would, you would have rubbed her nose in it. If I was you, I would have rubbed the nose. Not me, because all right, nothing changed in my life other than I got a better job. But for you, you should have been like, huh, huh, who's stepped on whose flowers? Now? I don't have. But see that's not who I am. And and and I chalked it up to immaturity. We were just kids, that's all. But yeah, it did stay with me. It was one of those that was one of those watershed moments in my life that I remember from back then. Just remember they're like, yeah, she stepped on your flowers. I remember it was Joey Virga who told me. Joey Virger told me that she did stepped on that wild You know, a similar situation happened to me where someone I used to have a crush on who knew I had a crush on them a long time ago, long long time ago in my teens, had her son apply for an internship with US. Uh huh. And I interviewed him as a favor to her, and I told you the story. I offered him the internship after she did it's pleased, do me a favor interview my son. I interviewed him and I offered him the position. He went, nah, I got something else. Thanks, What a scumbag, I'm not gonna use that term. And then she never thanked me. She never said a thanks for interviewing my son. I'm so I didn't work out. She pulled in the favor. She pulled in the old Oh I know you from back in the day. You had a crush on me. Woah, maybe you want to do me a favor.
00:52:05
Speaker 2: Now.
00:52:06
Speaker 1: I wasn't gonna hire her son. He happened to be qualified, but I certainly would't have hired him because I had a crush on his mother what many years ago. But it would have been nice. I'm a big I'm a big believer in people saying thank you. It's like when you let him in traffic, they wave to you. You do someone a favor. You could hate the person, but if they do you a favor, you say thank you. You do respectful thing, you say, Hey, you know what. I don't like you, but I appreciate to thank you. So if I tell you what's scary. If this girl, if I if I still ran any internship program and she told me that story in the interview about her how mother hurt your feelings, I would seriously consider not hiring not hiring her really, and then realize how good that radio conversation would be, and then doubly hire her. Yes, I would absolutely, Oh my god, you are mean, But I would think about not hiring her because her mother was mean to you as a friend, but as a producer, I would absolutely have hired her. He goes, Wow, that's great radio content. You're a mean one, mister Brodie. But they did it to you. Everyone else did it to you on the radio. It's good radio is good radio. You gotta go for good copy.
00:53:10
Speaker 2: Exactly the Glenvoice podcast.
00:53:14
Speaker 1: We will be right back. I was in Target earlier today, right. I told you I was going to get dog food and Target, yep. And I'm walking through the linen section, and you know, sometimes you don't need linens, but you see like a hand towel. Oh, I like that pattern. It catches your eye. Right, sometimes you just see something catches your eye. And there's three women standing by the washcloths. I would say they were in the thirties, maybe three women. And one of them says, I think I need new washcloths, and one of her friends says, why is that. Well? I hung up a wash cloth and dry in my shower, and I noticed the bottom was wetter than the top was After about an hour or two. Would have thought the bottom would have dried faster. It would have dried hold on or would have dried evenly. And the second woman says, maybe you hung the washcloth up with the dryer side at the top and the bottom was wetter when you hung it up. And the third one, the third woman says, you know what, I've noticed that too. The bottom is always wetter than the top if I check on it before it's completely dry. I wonder why that is. Do you know why that is the bottom of the wash cloth is always wetter than the top when you hang it up to dry. I'm just gonna take a wild guess and that the water or the steam comes from the floor and it's touching the bottom of the No, brody, actually no, no, I'm gonna chuck this one up. Ass to these women were a bunch of idiots. Okay, but tell me what, let me back. The bottom of the washcloth wetter than the top of the wash cloth after it's been hanging up for about an hour. Is it hanging up vertically?
00:55:04
Speaker 2: Yes?
00:55:05
Speaker 1: Okay, so then the the water, the water is dripping downward on it. I don't know. Yes, yes, that's how the that's how a washcloth dries. The water all drips out the bottom. Oh okay, I thought she had it flat or something like that. Okay, So you didn't describe it was vertically. I hung it up. I hung it up, okay, So so okay, So the wetness, the moisture goes downward on the washcloth. But you know what, honestly, I really you hang up a shirt when you go swimming. An hour later you come back, the top is dry and the bottom is wet. Is all the water That's not necessarily true. That's where the water goes. No, I'm gonna disagree with you on that. Maybe it all dries at the same time. No, it does not. The gravity pulls the water down. How is that possible? If if it's in it's emblazoned inside the father, in the fabrics, it's in the fabric, it goes from molecule to molecule. It goes down. If you hang up a wet towel, does it not drip?
00:56:06
Speaker 2: No?
00:56:08
Speaker 1: If it's very wet, okay. If it's very wet, yeah, yeah, and the top dry, they don't. They drive it. They dry it even pace. No, they do not hang I want you to hang up like a light gray T shirt that's all wet. Hang it up in your bathroom. And watch when you come back an hour later, the top is lighter gray than the bottom is Huh the wonder I gave you those questions for dumbest person in the nation and you failed it. Seriously, I don't know slices this guy. Sometimes I just can't get on board with this. Like, theoretically it makes sense, but I think when you're talking about a piece of cloth, it all dries. The water evaporates at the same rate all over the cloth, the whole surface area. I don't think that the bottom half is still wet because the water is dripping down, don't. I don't know. I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to call bullshit on there. Hang up a washcloth in the shower, Why does the top drive faster? You're leading the witness. Nope, rephrase the question, Hey, Gemini, when you hang a wash cloth up in the shower to dry, does the top drive faster than the bottom? And if so, why, Yes, the top of.
00:57:25
Speaker 2: The washcloth dries faster because gravity pulls the moisture down toward the lower edge as the water drains. It keeps the bottom section wetter for a longer period, while the upper portion has less water. And can evaporate more quickly.
00:57:39
Speaker 1: Did you hear that? I did? Okay, thank you? Yes? Yeah? How do you not know this? Well? I got the answer at first, theoretically yeah, but then I thought it through. I'm like, I think it's all even. I don't think and why are we talking about even? Why are we talking about this? Because the women and Target were talking about it, I wanted to say something to them and I didn't. I'm like, you, did you say something? You didn't say something. I didn't I because I was I was dumbfounded. Or I was taken aback And by the way, it's taken aback, not taken back. You're taking aback. I was taken aback. I was dumbfounded. I was god gob smacked. You're gob snacked, im smacked. What the fuck? Oh, I'm gonna did I play this commercial? I got two commercials. I want to play the audio front. This commercial is for It's a car sale that's going on and it runs during Mets games constantly, and it's driving me crazy because there's a doorb thank you. There's a doorbell sound in the commercial twice that rings the same way as the doorbell on my house. Does Okay? Here we go. Listen hear it?
00:58:48
Speaker 2: Yeah, Hi, okay, that's just change it up. My look, I gotta lave it. Look, I only paid.
00:59:01
Speaker 1: So every time that commercial lays like hey, boom boom, it sounds like my doorbell. Okay, all right, now, this is a commercial between a husband and wife, and I guess this woman's sisters are coming over for dinner or a party, and he's letting her know that they're going to be early. Now listen to what she says. The only thing she says to him this, there's a running early early this headache. We've got try pink quote early this headache. That's a non sequitur. What is one thing I have to do with it? Well, it's not that it's a non sequartar. It's not a full sentence. What she means is a headache. I can't deal with these people because they're coming early right right here again early early this headache, early this headache. Well what is she does? She saying? Nothing? Yeah this headache. Well, we understood it, so obviously she said something a right beatles, I mean we understood it otherwise. Yeah, But but who speaks that way? I don't know somebody who an advertiser that only has thirty seconds to get their message across. She couldn't say my head's killing me. Ah, I have a terrible I have a terrible headache. Your sister's running early. Oh, this headache. That reminds me of this commercial. You remember this commercial I played a while back.
01:00:22
Speaker 2: Me, everything is still extensive, and our bills are pairing up.
01:00:25
Speaker 1: You're telling me critical, you're telling me, no, you're not. He meant to say, you're telling me right.
01:00:33
Speaker 2: Everything is still expensive and our bills are pairing up.

Speaker 1: You're telling me credit cards are maxed out. You're telling talent, you're yeah, it's all in the inflection. I got one more thing. This was a huge story in New Jersey and slices. This is either going to infuriate you or Scary is gonna I'm most likely Scari's gonna go Oh, I'll do that. There's a mall in New Jersey unrelated to the story. I'm just gonna mention it called the mall that's shows. Everyone calls it the Short Hills Mall, but the fancy name is the Mall at Short Hills. Okay, like the ballpark at Camden Yards, except it's in Millburn. It's not in Short Hills, okay, but that's the name of the mall at Short Hills what they call it, right, And they have valet parking in parts of the mall by like mem and Marcus and the Boogie stores. Valet parking at the mall. Okay, I can accept that it's a bougie ass mall. But the Willowbrook Mall was in the news this week. Scary did you see why? No? Why he didn't see? Why your morning show needs to be doing this story. It was huge last night. The Willowbrook Mall now charges money to park two dollars and fifty cents to park in the good parking spaces close to all the entrances. Wow, that's balls. Let me see if I got the story here. Wow, so premium parking. Yeah here, hold on, they're putting a price tack you. We're both on gray.
01:01:54
Speaker 3: That's why Christa Ardido and her friend are parking in willow Brook Malls preferred parking spots. They say the extra cost is worth the convenience, especially when they're headed's great to the restaurant. How much did you pay core forty five for two hours? The preferred parking spots have taken over prime spots in the lots closest to mall entrances. The cost two dollars and forty five cents for the first hour and two dollars for every hour after that. Some say they'll just park further.
01:02:20
Speaker 1: Would you pay? No, that's why park here. This economy you want people to pay extra. It's it's yeah, in this economy, I'm paying four dollars and ten cents for gas. Now you want me to pay money to park closer to the lot? Yeah. And by the way, it's the Willowbrook Mall. And if for those who don't know, it's a huge mall, it's a huge mall. But it's it's a basic ball. So it's not it's not it's well, it's not Lord and Taylor. It's not bougie the way Short Hills is. I would expect that type of behavior well from the short Hills Mall. Well, short Ells Ball has valley parking, because that's uber rich. Willow Brook has a lord doing that to the customers, not that kind of not with No, that's just just that it's the regular general gen pop mall. You should be doing that to people. That's fucked up. Okay, so let me ask you a question. Scary, would you pay the money to park closer to the mall? You Scary Jones. I gotta get out of here. Yes, you're why slices? Would you pay that money? Do you know how lazy you are? Would you pay fun? Goodbye? You prove boys, boys,
Speaker 1: Start Up, dot Up, start Up, Brooklyn Boy, start Up, Brooklyn buys, start Up, up Up.
00:29:27
01:00:36
