Speaker 1: Episode 388. It's the Brooklyn Boys Podcast. Hello, I'm Skiri Jones. Hey, I'm David Brody, and this is Skiri's... vacation eve podcast yeah can't you hear the excitement of my voice you hear how much energy I have going on vacation after this so cannot wait yeah so we're gonna tell you what we always tell you hold off on the talkbacks yeah until the middle of next week of the first yeah so maybe like the fourth you could start leaving talkbacks so they don't get erased exactly we appreciate you if you do if you leave a talkback We encourage new talkbackers to hit that microphone. Of course, if you listen on the iHeartRadio app, you get to do that. Now, also, if you're a new listener, welcome. We want you to make the Brooklyn Boys podcast your number one preset if you're listening to the iHeartRadio app. It's very important to do that. We're being watched by Big Brother.

00:01:18
Speaker 2: Brody?

00:01:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, they're having this contest to see who can have the most number one presets. So that position one... On your presets on the iHeartRadio app, program it to the Brooklyn Boys podcast. It'll go pretty far with management. I'm sure that we'll all get raises and we'll get a budget and we'll have contest giveaways and trips to giveaways and cars. Right. Yeah, all that. Can you imagine if this little podcast was the number one spot for the most people in the giant company? Okay, Ludacris, number one spot. Oh, yeah, right. Okay, very good. Oh, speaking of which, I got to jump right into this. There was a story on ABC News Los Angeles. So ABC LA, whatever their channel number is. They did a story. And I'm going to play the audio for you. And I want you to tell me, do you know the difference between correlation? Tell me, sorry. That's a stretch, man. Come on. The difference between causation and correlation is, Causation and correlation? Well, I mean, I've never been down this path before, but right here, live on the spot, causation is something that caused something else to happen. And correlation is when you're making a comparison. That's not correct. Correlation, where something relates to something else in a way, in another way. I don't know. Okay, so if... If everybody goes to Mexican restaurants, right, on Wednesdays. Yep. And also, every Wednesday, the Mets win. They're not winning because people are going to Mexican restaurants on Wednesdays, even though both are true. More people are going to the Mets. Right. That's correlation. Correlation. But that's also going to be a superstition. Okay. But one is not causing the other. That's the difference in terms of the words. Okay. Gotcha. Understood. Okay. So if somebody says, you know why the Mets are winning? Because more people are going for Mexican food on Wednesdays. I just saw a chart. Jeez. That's the difference. So I want you to hear this story. And if you think about it in terms of it's a news report, you're like, oh my God, there must be some validity to it. Listen to the story and you tell me what you think about the reason why they're saying there's so many more car accidents at this time.

00:04:05
Speaker 2: Releases are a huge driver for the music industry. Here at 4, new album releases are a huge driver for the music industry, but be careful driving while jamming to your favorite artists. A new study shows traffic deaths surge up to 15% on days major albums are released. Researchers looked at U.S. traffic fatalities on top music streaming days from 2017 to 2022. The data showed a spike in deadly crashes when artists such as Taylor Swift, Drake, Bad Bunny and Kendrick Lamar dropped new albums. The author notes tens of millions of people reach for their phones to stream those big releases. The spike was more pronounced for young drivers, sober drivers and drivers who were alone in the car.

00:04:49
Speaker 1: So the story is. That accidents are up on days when big albums come out.

00:04:56
Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:04:56
Speaker 1: When new music comes out. Right, because everyone's rushing to get that first listen. Right. And the accidents are up on young drivers and sober drivers. Sober drivers. So, in other words, 99% of drivers. That's now a category. Sober drivers. Well, they were just trying to... What they were trying to do there is say... Let's take out the DWI people. Yeah, well, they... And from this, let's... Because they want to purify their sample or their research project. Right. But what they didn't say in that story was that the people in the accidents were verified to have been jamming out to the new albums by artists. Now, Scary, you're in the music industry, as I used to be. What day of the week do all new releases come out? Fridays. That's right. So... The story is saying, oh, well, whenever music drops, there's more accidents. But Friday, there's more accidents because people are tired from the week. They might have been partying on Thursday night, going out late Thursday night. There's other reasons. It's coincidence that there's more accidents on Fridays. They're not acknowledging the fact that all albums come out on Friday since 2015. See, the way I interpreted that story, though, was that they've measured all the Fridays or all the days of the week and that they've noticed on the big release days, on those days specifically, there was the spike in traffic fatalities, which means people aren't paying attention to the road. So it could be causation. But right now it's correlation because you haven't proven that any of those people... We're listening to any of that music. It's an assumption. That's why they had the accident. It's an assumption. They could have been listening to Drake and also had an accident. It doesn't mean Drake or the phone or the music was the accident. It just seems like an odd story to me. See, to me, it doesn't. To me, that actually makes sense. No, no, I didn't say whether it makes sense. It's not factual. They're not giving you data. They're just saying, you know, a lot of albums come out and there's also more accidents. But that's not causation. That's correlation. That's going to Mexican restaurants on Wednesdays and also the Mets are winning more games on Wednesdays. See, I don't think it... No, that seems far apart. I feel like there could be more of a... I feel like the correlation could be more... could be more of the truth... With the album release drops and the traffic and the crashes. Only because what you're throwing out there about, you're throwing out two arbitrary things. I was just trying to explain what a causation and correlation difference is. I actually am subscribing to this. I am drinking that Kool-Aid. I believe it. I believe that's the reason. All right. Slices, let us know what you think. Leave us a talk back. Do you think... Now, more importantly, not debating this. I want your opinion. When a new album comes out from your favorite artist, are you a worse driver? So again, I don't want your... We don't need your opinion on... I mean, you can, but really we want to know when a new album comes out by your favorite whoever it is, are you jamming and headbanging or dancing in the car where you admittedly are more likely to get into an accident because the new music is out? So I just thought... Harry, do you do that when the new Nicki Minaj album comes out? You know, the artist you grew up with? I grew up with her. Yeah, no, I actually, I know, but I could see how this could be the truth. Without the facts. Exactly. Well, that's the story. They reported it without the facts. Yeah, but they didn't report it as a news story, as factual. They reported it as potentially. Okay, but let's investigate this further. But would you also admit that drinking is up on Fridays? That's correct. Drinking on Thursday nights and getting less sleep on Friday mornings. But they would have to compare the Fridays of big releases with Fridays where no great music was released and see if there's a spike there. Who would make you a worse driver? Whose new album would come out and make you a worse driver? The Beastie Boys. But that's not going to happen anymore. That's not going to happen. No. Although I did send you new music from Mike D, didn't I? Yeah. Yeah, I love Mike D. And Mike D, the Beastie Boy, is one of the three, one of the two alive, remaining. He's got some new music out, and he's going to be touring. Although there used to be four Beasties. Right. There was a female member. Yep. Well, I'm just saying, in case anyone's like, there was four. We're not going into the 80s. Anyway, that being said, love you all. We're going to take a quick break here. and really, yeah. I mean, we just blew 10 minutes on this. I mean, not that it was a bad 10 minutes. I mean, because you've given me some food for thought. All right. Well, I was staying on the music trend. I want to talk about an artist that you brought up in conversation to me before we started recording. And I said, Oh, I want to talk about her. So as soon as we come back, We'll talk about a female country artist, not Dolly Parton, although we do need to talk about... The Brooklyn Boys Podcast.

00:10:23
Speaker 2: We will be right back.

00:10:26
Speaker 1: All right. What do you got for me, Skiri? Well, I'm going to Greece with my family, and I can't wait to go. I'm going on a Norwegian cruise line cruise, and I'm flying to Athens with my dad. I got my sister, my nephew, my two nephews... And my brother-in-law. So it's basically my sister, her family, and me and my dad. Robin couldn't make it. That's a whole other story. That's a whole show. Oh, she's not meeting you there two days later because you left her? No, no, no, no, no. You're okay if I call her up and hang out, right? Sure, whatever you want to do. I just, I'm a little pissed right now at my nephew. So I was stopped by... Which nephew is this? Your nephew, Lucas? Yeah, Lucas. He's now... Well, you talk about him all the time. Well, he's old enough to know better now. So he's 15. He's the thief, right? No, no. Nico's the thief. Nico stole Lucas's... Oh, Nico's the thief. Oh, right, right, right. Nico's the thief. No, it's just... No, I shouldn't say I'm pissed at him because I'm his uncle and maybe we were there and we were his age once as well. And I don't know if we behave this way. But so... Lucas has a girlfriend. Lucas is 15. He's at that age. Older woman, too. Is he telling people, girls, that he knows you? He doesn't even know what radio is, bro. I'm lucky he knows how to find me on the FM dial. It's not even a dial. It's not a dial. Dial? Although I will say my good friend Paper Menu has a classic car from the 70s. He bought a car like he had back in the eighties and he's got a push button radio and roll up windows. That's hysterical. He drives the car like one day a week. It's beautiful. Anyway, he's got, he's got knobs. So we went through a lot to get this done for, you know, for just my dad and me, but then now to add my sister to the mix and you know, it's expensive and she's, you know, she's on a teacher's salary. She's a teacher. So, so that's how that works when you're on a teacher's salary. Yeah. Well, no, but I'm saying that she's not, uh, you know, by the way, if you're a doctor on a teacher's salary, give us a call. They're scraping, you know, two nickels together to try and make this happen, to make this trip happen. It's a very expensive trip for them. And, and for me as well, but no, dude, you spent more on a window than this whole cruise. Shut up. So by the way, your sister, who's on scraping nickels together to pay for this cruise is Does she know about your Buster and Punch light switches? No, and she won't. I don't want to rub that in her face. Yeah, hey. So, you know, it's just... My dad tells me today when I was with him in Brooklyn. Oh, we went to Randazzo's. Randazzo's Clam Bar. Old school. Oh, she said right on the water. Very nice. Yeah, we were sitting there. We're talking. I said, are you excited about the trip tomorrow? Yeah, yeah. He goes, yeah, but Lucas, he doesn't want to go. I'm like, what? What? Yeah, he just doesn't want to leave his girlfriend. Apparently, he's so in love with this older woman that... Older? She's 16? 17. Oh, whoa, whoa. Yeah, anyway, so... Whoa, there's certain states that's allowed, but not the one we live in. Well, he's 15. That's what I'm saying, bro. Oh, well, doesn't matter. That's not the point. The point is... The point is, he's... He's kind of being a little disrespectful to his mom and dad that they're putting all this money, time and effort to bring him overseas to see these beautiful islands that we're going to witness. And he's going to sit there and take it for granted with a puss on his face. No, that's the problem. He's leaving the pussy on his face. Okay, don't make jokes about my 15-year-old nephew, you fuck. I set you up for that, though. My bad. I saw that coming. Dude's got a 17-year-old cougar. I saw that. Anyway, that being said... Dude, she's too old for you to follow her Instagram. He's already... So, like, for instance, when we went to Anguilla, it was similar. Yeah, yeah. When he went to all these other places, they showed him Australia. Anytime they go away, he just, like, he mopes around like he doesn't... He went to Australia? Yeah, because Fernando, my brother-in-law, is from Australia and his parents live in Australia. That's ironic because now he doesn't want to go to Greece because he'd rather be down under. Okay, Alanis. All right, men at work. Down under. Down under. Yeah, I know. I got you both ways. How about the fact I'm talking, though? Okay. I understand the song, but you missed what I said. You know, no, I heard what you said. You're being a perv. You're talking about 15. No, I'm not. To about a 15-year-old boy. I'm saying why the kid doesn't want to go. I'm saying why he doesn't want to go. You just keep making those jokes. That's David Brody, everybody. All right, here we go. Chris Hansen's going to show up at your door tomorrow. Hey, I'm not the one dating a 15-year-old. This girl is. So anyway, that being said, again, I'll say that again. It just bothers me, and I don't know how to kind of get into his head to be like hey man these are the times like we should fucking appreciate being in the moment you'll see your girlfriend when you get back these are the times to remember these are the your parents struggled to to show you and your your brother a better vacations than we ever had scary going up back in the day when you were sleeping with 17 year old women what are you talking about Well, when you were dating a 17-year-old girl back in the day. When I was 17, but okay. I didn't say that. I don't know how old you are. Would have been when you were working at the radio station. But anyway, would you have wanted to go on a cruise without her? It's not about that. It's about having respect for your family. I understand that. He's 15. Which would you rather have done? He's 15. Which would you rather have done? The frontal lobe is not fully developed yet. Okay. His frontal something else is developed. See, I set you up again. I'm just going to keep volleying. He's thinking what his second lobe. I'm throwing meatballs over the plate and you're fucking smacking him out of the park. That's correct. Can't miss those. Look, I understand. Listen, it's a sticky situation. Okay, keep going. Which is why he doesn't want to... Okay. Look, he's got to be respectful to his parents. He has to appreciate this fantastic opportunity he has. But I guess he's really good at conversation and he's going to miss talking to her. I'm sure he's going to FaceTime everywhere he goes. How long have they been dating? Or whatever they're doing. Over a year. So why isn't the family bringing her? I don't know, because there's no room in the cabin. I mean, they're sharing a cabin. They can't put a fifth person in there. It's weird, you know? Anyway, you know, it's just... I don't know. I'm trying to put myself in his 15-year-old shoes, and I'm remembering... I bet you are. I'm remembering when I was that age. If I was ungrateful, if I also was on that.

00:17:52
Speaker 1: You know, that don't give a fuck, don't want to hang out with my family. It's so uncool. Yes, you're 15. You're not thinking about it. And if he's been dating this person or hanging out with her for a year, he's probably having a different type of life than going on a cruise with his parents and his uncle. And I think he's been on so many trips and cruises. And his grandfather. Don't forget his grandfather. Listen, that's the thing that crushes me the most is my dad. His grandfather is not, is like, he's a little upset about it. He's a little bent, but he kind of gets it. Ah, it's youth. It's youth. Y-O-O-T. Listen, I loved my grandfather, but when I was a teenager and my grandfather came over to visit, I would sit in my room, play video games sometimes if I was wrapped.

00:18:39
Speaker 3: Up in a video game.

00:18:40
Speaker 1: Right, right. So, but I didn't, I didn't think about it like, oh my God, I love him. And also he might not be here in 10 years. So I don't think you think like an adult. I'm thinking like an adult. I'm thinking like... This is rare for you. A very rare moment here. And I'm really, you know, I didn't really talk about this on the radio, on the big show. I'd rather share it with, you know, you guys, the Slices and Brody. Because I feel like this is where I... No, no, no, no. I didn't bring it up. I didn't bring it up. It's not for the big show. This is for... This is Scary Jones, you know... you know yeah peel back this is the curtains right you're peeking behind the curtain you get everyone who listens to this podcast gets scary jones unplugged you get to see me for who i am every single day that's the problem i don't think your nephew wants to be unplugged yep keep going i think nope listen well i think i think everyone i refuse by the way i've thought about all these jokes and i'm i'm not doing it because this is my nephew but feel free you've got no family he's not my So, yeah, I mean, I just... And at that age, I guess he can too. So... what I'm wondering is like, do I say anything to him on this trip? Do I take him? Do I take him aside and be like, okay, if you notice him being a dick to his family, you could be like, Hey, Hey man, listen, listen, I'm totally with you. You got to relate to, you got to, you got to be the cool teacher who turns the chair around. Right? Okay. He sits on the chair backwards and goes, hey, man, let me give you some life advice, some hard truths. Yeah. My man. My man. My man. Okay. Right? And you got to throw in some lingo. Like, I'm going to spit some truth AF at you. And some skibbity-doo, skibbity-doo toilet riz. Skibbity-toilet. Toilet riz, everything, yeah. Yeah, everything. Give him some of that. I should be unk. I should be unk. Yeah, tell him he's living his best life. Give him flowers, all of that. But you got to tell him, listen, You got the rest of your life to be with this girl or similar situations. Your parents, your grandfather, listen, your grandmother's no longer here. Yeah. Let that be a good lesson to you that you got to cherish the days you still have with your grandfather. You will have plenty of time. Your 17 year old girlfriend, God willing has another 70, 80 years of life. We don't know how long grandpa's going to be around. Let's spend some quality time with him and go on a cruise when a lot of your friends may not have the opportunity. They don't. And that's another thing. It's like his friends don't do half as cool shit as he gets to do. And he doesn't appreciate the shit that is being done for him around him that he's a part of. He doesn't realize how good he has it. Oh, my God. I'm sounding like my fucking dad now. My mom. Shit happens, bro. Welcome to the circle of life. But, like, it's so true. Yeah, that's it. Hold up that mirror. No! You're back in my day. Get off my lawn. Slices, you just heard the transformation of Scary Jones. He doesn't want to be married or have kids, but he just became a parent. Good job, Scary. It's not a parent thing. It's a respect thing. It's an adult thing. But I'm trying to... am I the person that, let me go further. Am I the person to have this conversation with him? Or is he going to be looking, looking at me like, fuck off, give me some money for Christmas. No, you're the person because you're, you're the funkle. Okay. Spent a lot of money on him and done a lot of good things for him. I sure have. And you have to be the one to step back and say, listen, I'm not invested in this. I'm not your parents. Right. And I'm not grandpa, but from where I stand, I feel like you should be, have your eyes open to the, you know, bring the chair over from the buffet, turn it around, sit down and have the chat with him, uh, come to Jesus moment, so to speak, or, uh, you know, whatever you want to call it, but you need to have, again, only if you see there's an issue or if you're complaining about it.

00:22:45
Speaker 2: Okay.

00:22:45
Speaker 1: So like, you know, when, when, when, when we're over for dinner, if I'm over for dinner, my dad, whatever, you know, he, he comes in for dinner. He comes down, he gobbles up his fucking food as fast as he can. And he fucking leaves the table. Yeah, you can't, you can't, nothing you can do about that. Okay. That's a teenager. That's a, I, right. All right. Is that right? See, I don't have one. I don't have one of those. I never experienced that. I remember being, so the only thing I can remember is, did I do that when I was his age? And some of this shit, yes, of course. I used to hang out in my room with my friends. I didn't want to be part of like anything my parents were doing. That was so uncool. So it's normal, but you also have to, even though something is the norm, doesn't mean it's 100% acceptable. So, You could say to him, hey, before we start eating, I expect everyone here to sit through dessert. You want to leave after dinner for a few minutes, come back for dessert, that's fine. Set the ground rules so that there's no problem in advance. Because I just can't stand to see my sister, my brother-in-law, and even my dad be disrespected that way. So you have to balance between what's normal and maybe by day two or three, he's having a good time. He's never been on a cruise in his life, let alone Greece. He's going to fucking Santorini. He's going to be in Montenegro. And all we know is right now, again, this is pre-cruise, pre-board. We didn't go yet. I'll let you know how it turns out. He's as my sister's like, I said, so is Lucas excited for the trip? And she's like, no, my grandpa, my, my, my dad. So is he, is he excited? Is what's, what's going on? No, he's going to miss his girlfriend. That's, and he's not looking forward. He doesn't want to go. He's almost like, how was your trip to crew to Greece going to Montenegro? If it's, it's the Greek islands. It starts with, it starts with, we're going to Athens. We're flying to Athens. Yeah. We're going to hang out in Athens for a night or so. And then we're going to go get on the ship. We're going to go to Santorini the next day. And the day after that, we're going to end up... Wait, Santorini, followed by... Do I have this wrong? Wait, Santorini, then Olympia. This is Greece. And Corfu, Greece. And then Montenegro. And then... What do you think Montenegro is? Croatia. Are you going to other countries? Croatia, and then Slovenia, and then Venice. Oh, very nice. And then Venice. So you're going up the Adriatic Sea. Adriatic Sea or the Aegean Sea? Or the Adrian Sea. Adrian Sea. Anyway, all right. Okay, very good. I've droned on and on about this. I would beat this dead horse as far as it can be beaten. Oh, well, you'll be eating that soon. Yeah, great. But anyway. If you're following the meat stories. The meat stories, they're coming out of where? The news about imported meat and mystery meat. Great. Can't wait. Anyway, so I don't know if A... I should say something to him. I told you, say something to him after a couple of days if you see a problem. If I see a problem. I'm hoping... Your sister getting upset or grandpa says, hey, you want to go to her? And he goes, nah, fuck you, grandpa. And he's like, I'm going to go type an email or send a text message and whatever. If he's going to sit in his room... FaceTime his girl. FaceTime his girl or send him pictures back and forth, then what are you going to do? All right. I don't know. We'll see. You can't take away his phone. You're his uncle. To be continued. All right. And we're back. We're back. I didn't have a chance. So I want to talk about the country musician. Oh, yeah. I was ready to talk about her. She got a lot of publicity for something she did on stage and not Dolly Parton, although I do want to talk about Dolly in a couple of minutes. Did you see they lit up the Empire State Building at 925 p.m.? Do you know why they lit it up in pink in honor of her at 925 p.m.? Yes, because they did this because it was because their song 925. Right. Somebody's brilliant. That's a brilliant idea. They actually want to make September 25th national holiday. They want to. Who's they? People. People on the internet who said, oh, you know what? You should make it a holiday. It's not going to be. I also see that... The president made them do half-staff for the flags, half-staff for an entire week. For a week. For a week, yeah. Has we ever done that for like a Hollywood person or a singer or an actress or someone like that? I don't think so. It's always like political figures and stuff who get that. They did it recently for a non-political figure. They did? Okay. Yeah, let's go look it up. Okay. All right. So that being said about Dolly. Hello, Dolly. Sorry. A lot of people are making Grim Reaper jokes or Grim Reaper AI videos now about how awful– like the Grim Reaper has taken all of our icons from the 80s with Tim Curry and Dolly and people like– I saw one. It was AI of Cher shooting the Grim Reaper as it came into our house. Yeah. Yeah, I saw the whole list of people who are 80. It's sad. These are icons. You know who else is 80? My dad. Okay, Lucas? Grandpa is 80. That's what I should tell him. I should lead with that. Grandpa is 80, Lucas. Grandpa is the same age as the people that are dying on television. That could be too morbid for his undeveloped frontal lobe. I saw something on social media that said, Which Tim Curry movie you most think about when you hear his name? Immediately. It says a lot about you. It talks about your character. Rocky Horror Picture Show. Well, yeah. To me, that's his defense. I know he was in Clue, and he was in a lot of other great movies. He's a terrific actor. Oh, he was the guy behind the desk, the counter. He's one of the stars of the movie. Is he the detective? No, he didn't. Oh, no, that's something else. I'm getting him confused. I think you are. All right. He plays Wadsworth. He was the butler. The butler. Okay. Yeah. He was the butler in Clue. Anyway, for me, it's always going to be Rocky Horror Picture Show. A terrible movie that is only good because of the audience interaction. Correct. But he's fantastic in it. So, yeah, it's one of those where you go, God, 80 people, 80-year-old. I mean, listen, 80 years old is a nice age, but 81's better. Mm-hmm. You know? And Dolly did a lot of, Dolly did, anyway, we'll talk about Dolly in a minute. Kacey Musgroves. Have you seen the videos of her? Kacey Musgraves. Musgraves, yeah, Musgraves. I'm thinking of Kacey Musgrove. Whatever, the Disney girl. You're thinking of Miranda Cosgrove. Yes, that's who I was thinking of, yes. No, I was thinking about the clock from Beauty and the Beast. That's Cogsworth. Oh, that's Cogsworth. Were you thinking of the guy from Willy Wonka? No, that's Slugworth. That's Slugworth. Slugworth. Oh, okay. Sorry. And I was thinking of the guy from the Jetsons. Cogswell? Is it Cogswell? No, that's Mr. Cogs... What's his name? Cogs... Oh, shit. Spacely... Spacely... Spacely Sprockets. Sprockets, right?

00:30:15
Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:30:16
Speaker 1: Mr. Who? Oh, forget it. Nope, it's going to kill him now. He's got to look it up, folks. He had to turn his mic off so we could ask chat. Dad, what did chat say? No, it's Cogswell. Cogswell? Yeah. Cogswell. Okay. Cogswell's Cogs. You remember Cogswell's Cogs? Yeah, I guess. That was the competitor of Spacely Sprockets. Oh, okay. Anyway, Casey Musgraves. The Cogs like the wheel? Cogs in the wheel? Yeah. No relation to Joe Musgrove or Grave, the pitcher. Anyway, Casey Musgraves, did you see the video? Open up your TikTok. I sent it to you. She, she, you know, some people like, like, uh, Taylor Swift got into like a balcony and she flew the balcony all around the arena. And, uh, uh, uh, some, some celebrities will get in different items, objects, and like fly around the arena. She got into, did you open up your thing? She got into, can you see it on the screen? I got, wait, you sent it to me, right? On Tik TOK. Oh, on Tik TOK.

00:31:20
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.

00:31:21
Speaker 1: Tick tock lock. See that? Oh, no. Giant plastic scrotum. That is a hilarious. Oh, my God. So she was in a giant nutsack, like you'd hang on the back of your trucks, like what they call truck nuts. Truck nuts. No way. Yeah. And they look like they're filled with fluid. So a lot of people were reposting the video sack. So this is funny. This was at her show. And everyone's commenting, oh man, that's nuts. That's nuts. It is. I don't know if you saw her on tour. You're going to go see her on tour. But she's flying around in a giant sack of sack. But what's the symbolism behind that? There has to be a reason. I don't know. I haven't looked it up. I don't care enough to look it up. But it's like two disco balls. I see it. Shiny disco balls. But it's testicles. They're testicles. I love it. I'm in. Do you? Are you? So speaking of videos, have you seen the video? There's two videos that are going around. One last week and one the week before. The manhole story in New York. Yeah. There's videos of a couple of guys coming out of manholes all over Manhattan. Yes. And the newscasters are all saying, we don't know what they're up to. What could they be doing? Those are the mole people. They're coming out. They're dressed like Mario and Luigi. They're doing the plumbers. They're doing a Mario and Luigi thing. They're doing a skit. I guess. I don't know what they're doing with it. Dressed like Mario and Luigi from Mario Brothers. But all the newscasters are like unidentified men coming out of manholes. You have to reference the fact they're dressed like plumbers. They got the hat and the suspenders. So you think they're just playing one giant joke on everyone? Either they're playing a joke or they're up to no good and they're dressing like the Mario Brothers so that people are like, oh, it's just the Mario Brothers. I haven't figured it out. Yeah. But also, did you see the video last week? And I don't want to get into the politics of it, but did you see the Spider-Man video? No, no, I don't. There's a guy, again, I'm not going to name him. He's a known race baiter. He goes around from town to town around the country. He says awful racial shit at events where there's racial events going on. And he does it to stir it up and whatever. He's a racist. There's a video. He was in Minnesota last week. And a guy dressed as Spider-Man, like in Times Square, but dressed like a superhero. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He was dressed like Spider-Man, came running, leaping off the roof of a car, and attacked him as Spider-Man. And so everybody was showing the video of Spider-Man fighting crime, you know, leaping off of this car rooftop. Hilarious. However, he was arrested for assault. So you can't legally do that. But the video of a Spider-Man beating up someone who many find objectionable got a lot of attention. Hysterical. Yes, it was a week of Spider-Man and Mario Brothers getting a lot of attention for videos. I missed out on that. Go ahead. But I didn't miss out on the Harry Styles show last night. Oh, were you there for the Dolly Parton tribute? Because I saw that. I sure was, yeah. So last night, Today's Thursday, the 27th. Yesterday was Harry Styles' first of 30 sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden. And I was lucky enough to be invited. I was in the house with a couple people from the big show. And yes, he did do a tribute to Dolly Parton. He played. The lights went down. Everyone had their phones out. And they were lighting the whole arena up. as they listened to her sing I Will Always Love You, which was later made even more famous by Whitney Houston, but was obviously written and sang originally by Dolly Parton. A lot of people don't know that. A lot of people don't know it. So yeah, so that was cool that they played that and Harry did that moment for her, but the show itself, he was very good. His show is in the round, and so it's end-to-end run, you know, in an oval runway of a stage where he gets to run around the whole thing like a racetrack. To sell more seats, you block out less of the arena because when you do an end-stage concert, everything's all blackened out and you lose all that revenue from like a third of the arena. This way, you get to retain most of it and everyone gets to see you. So he got to sell all the seats. But I'll say that, you know, he, you know, He did good. Well, oh, God. I don't want to give a poor review of the show. Let's put it this way. If you're a Harry Styles fan, you're going to love it because he can do no wrong in your eyes. For me, I felt like he was a man conserving energy. I felt like he was the guy who said, man, I got 29 more of these left. I better just take it easy. He had energy at some points, but others, he was just kind of like chill, very chill. But a lot of people will tell you that that's just Harry. But if you can get your hands on some tickets, maybe worth taking your niece, nephew, the kids, your friends. If you see him. I mean, you have 30 shows for that. Yeah. I've seen Harry Styles. I lost Brody completely on that one. No, I'm here. I saw Harry Styles live. I thought he was terrific, but that was a few years ago on his last tour when the album came out with Golden. Yeah. I thought he was terrific. He didn't do Golden and Late Night Talking.

00:37:12
Speaker 2: Oh.

00:37:12
Speaker 1: He didn't do those two songs at all. He didn't do Golden. No. I would have been a little... But he had plenty of time to do.

00:37:18
Speaker 3: just quit your crying it's a sign of the times yeah that's not a great concert song it got the it was the next to last number and he did it and he got a lot of response from that.

00:37:32
Speaker 1: You know that one that one has renewed interest because it went viral again on tiktok for something whatever or is it a movie it's very it's very uh pink floyd kind of uh vibe to it. Anyway, I'm sorry you didn't love, love, love the show, but maybe if you were sitting with the people, you would have enjoyed it more. Well, I was, you know, I was invited into a suite. It's not my fault, but I was. Yeah. Anyway, what I did see. Yeah. Let's talk about what you said on the big show where, you know, if you have great seats, you have to post video and you got called out by Gandhi who said, you just want to post videos for people to see how good your seats are. Right. So you didn't post a lot of video last night. I posted a few things, but I did. Yeah, but you posted, but it zoomed back so people could see you were in a suite. Right. Because if you zoomed in, it would look like you had shitty seats.

00:38:22
Speaker 2: I had.

00:38:24
Speaker 1: No, no, I had a pretty good view. I was fairly close. The suites are okay, but the view is much better down low. You're basically in a room that happens to be in the area where the average seats are. Okay, so the best part of the show... Not the best part. Was the funniest part of the show. Was after the show. Was walking down 31st Street? 32nd Street?

00:38:48
Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:38:49
Speaker 1: There's a firehouse there. And we were walking... Actually, our friend Cheryl gave Gandhi and I a ride home. And as we were pulling out of the spot, it was in front of the firehouse. What do you think the firehouse... Okay. And I'm sure they're going to do this 29 more times. All right. The firehouse, all the garage doors were wide open. And all the firemen... were hanging out in their shorts and t-shirts, chilling on the sidewalk in front of the firehouse, almost as if to say to all the throngs of passerbys of girls, coming out of the show, all horned up for Harry, ask me about the fire engine behind us. Were they playing Harry Styles music? Because that would have been a win. No, but the rickshaws were. They were blasting the music. They should have been. You know what? I think they're going to build on what they already have. Because I saw what was going on. If they were playing golden, they might have gotten some attention. I see you, FDNY, and I respect you, and I give you a big high five because I would have done the same thing if I was in your position. But anyway, so these young... You would not be standing around in your T-shirt. These young, hot firefighters... We're standing, hanging around, talking to each other casually as if they just happened to be there as the show was letting out. And as hundreds of girls were walking down the, how to go down that sidewalk. And so I was, so I made some, you know, jokes. I'm like, ah, look at this to Gandhi and, and, and Cheryl. And they're like, no, they're not doing that on purpose. No, no way. No. So then we get in the car and as we're finally pulling away. We see four girls in short skirts going into the firehouse accompanied by one of the firemen. As if to say, let me show you around the place. Let me show you how. Let me show you a New York City firehouse. Let me show you my hose. He's showing the hose the hose. Let me show you my fire pole that you could slide down on. So shout out to you, FTNY. I see what you did there. Very smart. It's hysterical. Very good. Hey, do you watch America's Got Talent ever? I know you don't watch a lot of television. Sometimes. Have you guys been talking about Nene Royal? No. Nene. Okay, you should be. Nene. Nene Royal is a auditioned at 15, now 16-year-old girl from a country. She's from a city that if you read it the way it's spelled... It's spelled fuck it. Oh, really? Yes. Okay. But it's Phuket. P-H-U-K-E-T. Okay, got it. It's off the coast of Thailand. Anyway, she is a singer and a guitar player. Now, if you said to me, which does she do better? I would say sings and plays guitar. She's phenomenal. And she's blowing up on social media. and their ratings are going up, and she is the talk of the world right now for how good she is. So I'm going to play a little bit of her singing Zombies, and you tell me what you think. Hold on, I've got to plug it in. Hold on. Plug that thing in. Plug that shit in. Okay. Again, she's 16. Let me back up a little bit. Okay, keep going. Jump ahead a little bit. Anyway, she's an unbelievable guitar player, unbelievable singer. She's 16 frigging years old. And I think about When my kids were 16, when you and I were 16, when thinking about Lucas, who's 15 going on 30, can he shred and sing? No. She screams. She's definitely well on her way. The only thing I was shredding was the skin flu. At 16. All right, we got to take a break. We'll be right back. It's the Brooklyn Boys Podcast. I'm sorry. I went, I went there. Do you want to hear about the fat guy on the train or the incompetent cashier at the drugstore? I mean, I always go fat guy on train. I mean, that's what I thought. It's a funnier headline. The other one is a dime a dozen. You tell those stories all the time. It's a good one. I'll save that one. I was in Manhattan yesterday and went to have lunch with a friend. I was in lower Manhattan. I haven't been down to the financial district in a very long time. Down by the Staten Island Ferry. In fact, I saw the steps that on the first date I ever went on with my wife, it ended with a ride on the Staten Island Ferry. We stood, we hung out, on the steps of a building in the financial district. And I took a picture of the steps. Let me see if I can figure out where they are. Anyway, it doesn't really matter. In order to get home, I had to take the PATH train. So it was like four o'clock in the afternoon. So it's like, you know, people, it's rush hour. So the train is packed. By the way, the PATH station is New Jersey Transit from New York to New Jersey. It's packed. So I walk all the way to the front car because it's ended. I figured like if I keep walking, keep walking, I'll find a seat because I'm like, I'm tired. I feed her. I've been walking around the city and whatever. So there's only one spot available on the train. And I want to know what you guys would do, what you would do. Scary. It's between an older guy with headphones like ear pods in. Yeah. And a very large man. With headphones, with big-ass DJ headphones on his head, with his eyes closed, and his left hip is a good third of the way into the empty seat. And nobody is sitting there. Like, the whole train is packed. Right. So I'm standing, and I go, I think I could fit. I think if I squeeze my arms in. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. Come on. Come on. How long would you have had to stand? 20 minutes minimum. Suck it up, buttercup. Come on. My feet hurt. So I say, excuse me. He doesn't hear me. His headphones are on. Excuse me. Don't hear me. Oh, by the way, in addition to being large, he had a backpack on his lap that was like hanging off onto the seat. So he's, he's basically taken up a seat in the third and his backpacks taken up part of the seat also. And I think he and I both paid the same price for the train. Was it a little black backpack? No, I'm sorry. What song was that? Who did that? It was an alternative artist from the nineties. Escapes me. Oh, Oh, Oh, you know what? They played a concert when I worked at DC one-on-one little black. Okay. It's a, who cares? All right. Continue. Well, look it up while I'm talking anyway. All right. So I, I tap him and I go, excuse me. And he goes, what? I go, I'm going to sit here. Now he was also manspreading. So his legs were apart. So. He moves his left leg a smidge. He moves the backpack a smidge. And I sit down, Skiri. Look at my arms. My elbows are together. It's almost like you're back in the womb again. It's a little hard to breathe. And the guy is annoying. Hard to breathe. Thank you. The old guy to my left is like harrumphing. Because he was... 5% to 10% on the empty seat because he's like, oh, I'll just spread out my ass too because no one's sitting here. No one's going to see you. Au contraire, mon frere. I'm sitting here. So I sat there. Now the guy to my left is like giving me the moving shoulder. Like, get off me. Get off me. Get off me. And the fat, I'm going to say it, he was fat. The fat guy to my right is annoyed now that he's not getting a seat and a half. You're caught between a rock and a fat place. A fat place, yes, exactly. Hey, is that the title of this podcast? It may be. I think caught between a rock and a fat place, 100%. Now, the people are looking at me, like the standing people are looking at me like, I hope it's worth it, bro. Because it wasn't really worth it. The guy to my left is mumbling like that. Okay, Fifth Harmony, worth it, sorry. It wasn't worth it, let me work it. Oh, that's also, um, no different song worth it. I know, but no, it's also worth it. Yeah, I know. But I was thinking, are you worth it? Let me work it. No, that's work it by Missy Elliott. Continue. Yeah. Missy Elliott. That would have been a better choice. Anyway, the first stop outside of back in New Jersey, nobody gets off. Oh boy. Nobody gets off. What is exchange place? Whatever it was. Terrible. That's a, that's an abandoned stop after like five, six, seven o'clock at night. So yeah, people go on. Yeah. All right. We go to Grove street. Nobody gets off. Of course. It was finally, I think we get to journal square, whatever the third stop was. And one person gets off directly across from me. And I'm like, I, I'm going to wait to see if anybody runs for the seat. Nobody goes for the seat. Scary. I wedged myself out like a cork and a champagne bottle. Oh, Jesus. When I get out, I hit like, I get out of the seat. And I, and I jump across the other side and the fat guy is like spreads back out. And the old guy loud, he goes, he says, thank fucking God. You're the problem. It's you. Yes. I promise me, Taylor. He, he, he said it like what his headphones on, like he wasn't sure how loud he was speaking, but he said it like under his breath, but loud. What a scumbag. Fucking God. Yeah.

00:49:07
Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:49:08
Speaker 1: But I was worried for a split second that the fat guy would be offended that I jumped across to get away from his fat ass and take it up the seat. But instead, he was like, I'm glad he's gone. And he spread back out again. Let me tell you something. If you ever want to feel thin in life, go sit like that next to a large man and sit all scrunched up like you're back in the womb. I'm sorry. If you're that large, I feel bad. Yeah. But then.

00:49:37
Speaker 1: You got to move over. You can't man spread and put your bag on the seat. No, you can't do it. No, that's fucked up. And then get annoyed with me because I want to sit down. Nah, awful. Awful. And then the old guy's blaming me like, no, you're taking up my spot. Yeah, because you know why? Because I had to be like 1% on his seat to breathe. And he was like, I can't believe I'm giving up 1% on my seat. Meanwhile, the whole 30% of my right ass is gone because it's being swallowed up by the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. That was my day yesterday. I'm so... I'm glad I didn't have dessert at lunch. I wouldn't have been able to fit. Okay, so I had a better day than you. What can I say? I did. Well, airlines charge people like extra money. So I'm wondering, should people who take up more than one seat pay extra on the train? I mean, the train... No, nobody's there to police that shit. On a plane, absolutely. A lot of money is at stake. Your comfort, hours of sitting there in the same position. On a train, you can get up and go to the next seat. You can move around the place. All right, Slices, I got a question for you. When you take a carry-on onto a plane, they have that thing you put your bag in to see if it's too big to fit in? And if it doesn't fit, it's not going to fit in the carry-on, in the overhead. So if it's too big, you can't get in. Should they have for trains and amusement park rides a fat-ass thing that you have to stand in or a seat? And if you can't fit in the seat, then you've got to pay an extra fare. Like a seat. Maybe have a seat outside the terminal. With an ass detector that rings when you're too big. I mean, I love it in theory, but that'll cause a crazy bottleneck. I don't think people... You're a double bottleneck. I'm talking about a bottle in the ass. Shit. That's the problem. So, yeah. I'm just... Yeah, I was squished.

00:51:24
Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:51:24
Speaker 1: I was squished. At least make an effort. If you're going to take up a seat and a half, at least try to sit small. Put your feet together. It's so atrocious. I will be posting a picture on Instagram, not of his face, but of the seats so you can see what it looked like. At David Brody and the Brooklyn Boys. Speaking of seats and airline seats, I was sitting next to a woman on my flight who had the most hideous shoes on. I don't know if you've seen these. This is a trend. I don't know. But it literally, it's called the split-toe ballerina shoe. But they look like a camel toe. It is the most gaudy, over... I don't know who would pay for this, let alone being seen in public with them. Google... Google split toe ballerina shoe, which is basically fucking camel toe shoe because your mind goes, goes there immediately to camel toe. If you see what these things look like, it looked like something prehistoric, like a dinosaur, like a dinosaur paw or some shit. You sure it's called that? Yeah. Viral radio segment. Oh, oh, oh, oh, get a load of this. The AI overview. Scary. says the phrase split-toe ballerina show refers to a viral radio segment on Elvis Duran's show where the hosts roasted trendy split-toe ballerina flats. Ha, ha, ha, ha. That was me. I did that. That was my around the room. The joke on the show, joke that split-toe flat shoes look like camel toes after spotting a passenger wearing them on a flight. That was me. Nope. According to AI, it's Elvis. Ha, ha, ha. What? That was my observation. That was my around the room. It was my video. You can see it online. But either way, I don't care. I'm going to send you a screenshot. As long as the show got credit, I don't care. I'm not like that. No, no, you can post this. But that being said, yeah, aren't they fucking hideous? They're terrible. I haven't clicked on them yet. I'm too busy laughing at you not getting credit. I will say that it is the most awful. It's just gross, man. And who would wear that? I couldn't stop staring the entire flight. I'm looking down. I'm like, oh, God. I don't see them. Is it your toe? Is it like your big toe is separated from your fingers? Yeah, it looks like there's a crease in the front of the shoe. There's a giant crease. Camel foot. Camel toe. Yeah, it's bad. Split toe ballet shoes. It's not. Click on it. It doesn't show split toe ballet shoes. Well, either way, you know, take a look. I mean, I'm sure there are some people using them for comfort, but they are 99%. We did a poll. 99% of people hate them. And like, why do these things exist? Oh, here they are. Oh, these look like you're a reindeer. Yes, pretty much. Oh, these are women's tabby shoes. They're like Japanese shoes. Yeah. Hard pass. Thanks. Oh, no. No, these are terrible. Right? Yeah. Oh, no. Yeah. Oh, my God. You know what? You know who would buy these? Who? You, if Lorena told you to. Get out of here. No shot. I think they're gross. Oh, here's a picture of the fat guy on the train. Take a look. Oh, God. He's taking up the seat. And he's got his book bag there too, which doesn't help his backpack. I said his little black backpack is the least he could have done was move the backpack to the other side. So correct. To give you a little bit of space. Oh no. Why would he want to do that? Scary. I don't know. Because maybe, maybe he's a caring, loving New Yorker who cares about his fellow passengers. He's going back to Jersey. He's not, uh, he's not a New Yorker. Um, I have a question. You ever own an old car, scary? Like I really, Oh yeah. My first three cars were all very old. Okay. So I went, I went out to lunch with a friend and we pulled into the parking lot and next to me was a car full of junk clothing and old soda bottles and packs of cigarettes. It looked like, you know, just looked like, and in the window, I don't think you could see that in the picture. Scary. Can you see that all the way to your left? All the way to the left is a red thing. Yes, I see something red. Okay, so jammed into the window where the window goes down into the door, the window was rolled halfway down. All four windows were rolled halfway down. You could reach in and take whatever you wanted out of the car, which, again, was all garbage and trash. In the window is a screwdriver. Okay. That is a screwdriver. I'm going to zoom in. It's the handle of a screwdriver. Okay? Yep. Now... Is the screwdriver to start the car? Because I didn't look to see if there was an ignition. Is the screwdriver next to the window? Oh, yep. Ignition. Is the screwdriver there to keep the window from falling into the door? I need someone with a shit car. Why would you have to have a screwdriver jammed down into where the window is? To wedge the window against the door so it doesn't pour. Yeah, but you could break the glass that way. I don't know. Listen, this car is a shit box. I can't figure it out. Look, when we were poor growing up, my father, when the wiper blade would go, he would put a sponge in the wiper blade to wipe the window until he went to the store and got wiper blades. Right. When the seat broke, he put a hammer in the seat, in the back seat, like to jam the seat forward so it wouldn't fall backwards. Right, these are like little quick fixes, scotch tape and spit, trying to throw it all at the wall to see what works.

00:57:17
Speaker 2: Right, right.

00:57:18
Speaker 1: Well, this is what my father did. Again, we didn't have a lot of money, so you fix things the way you could fix them. So I'm wondering, what is the reason there is a screwdriver jammed into the window with the window halfway down? So is it to keep the window up? Or is that so, like, my car is so disgusting and filthy that if I put the screwdriver down, I'll never find it? That's what I need to know. Beats the hell out of me. Okay. All right, Mark Anthony, we got to take a break. Take a break, and I got to ask you about a drink. And then I got something for you.

00:57:50
Speaker 2: Ooh!

00:57:51
Speaker 1: Mark Anthony! Brody, look at me. Do I have to? Okay. We're walking down the street. We see each other. Okay. We're best friends or either. I know you, whatever. I say, what's up? Okay. I say, what's up? Yeah. Yeah. Say, what's up? Scary guy. Go. What's up? Hey, what's up? Ah, even though you did it a little bit, even though you did watch the same video I did. Yes. Even though you did it a little bit, you did it. You did the head nod. The head nod. The head up nod. Head up. That means I know you, you're my boy. It's like when my friend Spruce saw another black person in the pizza place, he went, he didn't head up. Like, what's up? You're black, I'm black. Chin up.

00:58:39
Speaker 2: Right.

00:58:40
Speaker 1: But if I pull up next to another Dodge Charger, the other driver will give me the head up. Right, because you guys have that in common. What's up? Right. But if you're walking past someone by and whatever, you get in your way or whatever, or somehow your eyes lock, you put your head down, you bow, you're like... What's up? You give me a head down. You're a human. I'm a human. I'm acknowledging your existence. I see you. Hey, what's up, man? I know you're going through the struggle. I'm going through the struggle. I just find it fascinating that when it somebody you know. Now, they say you do that. Again, I don't know if this is true, if this is AI, if this is bullshit. But you do the head up to show that you're exposing your entire neck, that you trust them, that they're not going to slit your throat. That's like an olden times. I don't know if that's true. But now... Is it weird? Because in me, in my mind, my mind says, wait a second. If I run into you and you're my friend, shouldn't you bow to them? Be like, yes.

00:59:41
Speaker 3: Hi.

00:59:42
Speaker 1: How are you? Shouldn't your head really go down instead of up? Almost like as a sign of respect. Well, it's not a friend. If you see a friend, you say hello to them. No, but when you have a thing in common, like if I see somebody with a Met hat, I'll go, what's up, Met hat. Why wouldn't you bow your head? Because it's like, yeah. Well, the way they're playing these days, maybe I should. Met hat. That head down. Although, can I tell you something that pissed me off? I got to go on a tangent for a second. Do it. I'm walking, I had lunch with my cousin and we're walking into town in Jersey and she was, oh, let's stop at this store. I want to look at these dresses on the rack outside. I'm like, okay. She's looking at the dresses and this cute girl, woman, I would say she's in her 40s, cute woman comes up and she's wearing a yellow Mets baseball hat. yellow yeah which is not not the typical color but i so i said hey what's up let's go mets i said good win last night oh did they i said yeah they won last night oh i didn't see the game okay well fair enough all right but but you know but uh they're playing well lately are they so i said are you the equivalent of a teenager wearing a nirvana shirt with no idea about nirvana And it's just, yeah, my husband got me the hat because I wanted a yellow hat. I want a yellow hat. Truthfully, I think the Yankee logo is better. I'm like, I can't talk to you. I go, well, you're wearing a Mets hat as well. My husband's a Met fan. I don't really like baseball, but so I wear the hat. I wanted a yellow hat. So you got me a yellow Mets hat. It's fine. I got no problem with that. No, it's not fine. It's fashion. It's worse than the rock shirts. It's fashion. No, it's worse than the rock shirts. People all around the world wear Yankee logos. All around the world. La, la, la, la, la, la, la. Who is that? It's several bands. It's Daft Punk. It's ATC. It's Red Hot Chili Peppers. Anyway, okay, so listen. You go to any country in the world, they got Yankee hats on. I'm not talking about any other. I'm talking about a woman on the street in New Jersey wearing a Mets hat. She gave me a false sense of hope. I would thank her just for wearing a Mets hat and not a Yankee hat. I gave her the heads up, and I should have given her the heads down. I gave her the heads up. I gave her the what's up. Now, but don't you think that we should switch it around and be head down when you see somebody? Like a bow of respect? Not really. You're not following. Now... I mentioned this on the air and somebody texted in. They said they, that someone, they gave someone a, a what's up that they didn't know. And it, it started a fight almost. Oh yeah. Cause it, cause it, cause it looks like you want to go.

01:02:22
Speaker 2: Yeah.

01:02:23
Speaker 1: Let's let's go. Let's go. What's up? What's up? Right. Right. Yeah. That's a problem. That's a problem. So if you do it to a stranger, it's a fucking problem. You're going to start a fight. It's a problem. You do the head. Cause that's the same head movement as the heads up is like, What's up, motherfucker? You want to fight? Okay. You want smoke? Let's go. Right. Scary. I want you to say to me right now, what's up, motherfucker? You want to fight? Watch your head. Can't help itself. Go ahead. Do it. What's up, motherfucker? You want to fight? See? Your head went up. My head went up. My chin went up. Can't help it. Right. You can't help yourself. Yeah. Now, are you going to threaten a guy putting your chin down? Hey, you want to fight? What's up? You're looking down. No, you're looking down. You get your ass kicked.

01:02:55
Speaker 2: Right.

01:02:56
Speaker 1: So... Yeah, you got to be careful with that. So strangers, head down. People you know and love, head up. Right. Don't be head up and with the... You know, the wrong people. Exactly. Get your ass kicked. Yeah, you will. Viral trends, Skiri. Yeah. Now, you know the song by NSYNC. Is it NSYNC, right? Dirty Pop? Yes, NSYNC. But have you heard of a dirty soda? Oh, we had them on the air on the show, and I'm like, I couldn't wait for that morning to end quickly enough. They are disgusting. Dirty soda is fucking nasty. It's sugar on sugar. There's no reason for it. I don't understand why this ever was a trend, but go ahead, Brody. Tell them what a dirty soda is. Well, you guys, did you talk about where it came from? Yeah, go ahead. Go for it. So I thought it was like a soda with alcohol in it, like rum and Coke. No.

01:03:49
Speaker 2: Oh, no.

01:03:50
Speaker 1: It's a non-alcoholic drink made by mixing standard fountain soda with flavored syrups, a splash of cream or creamer, and often fresh fruit or lime juice. Yeah. So like milk, like remember when Laverne and Shirley, old reference, Laverne drank milk and Pepsi? Yes. It's sort of like that. It's like a soda float. I guess if you put ice cream float, you put ice cream in your soda, this is cream and juice and it's gross. Because nothing goes with a 52-gram glass of Coca-Cola soda. Like heavy cream. Right. Nothing goes with that better than more sugar. Let's pump some more sugar in there. It's base soda, like some kind of Coke, a cola, a cola of some kind. Dr. Pepper, Sprite, or root beer. Pour over pebble ice, which, by the way, I'm out. I'm not eating pebble ice. It's going to melt and I hate it. You put in flavorings like syrup, like coconut, vanilla, peach, or raspberry. And then a creamy element like heavy cream or half and half or coconut cream, some shit like that. Now, where does this come from? Not the place you'd get your recommendations from. It's from Utah. Now, there's a reason for that. No offense to Utah. It was started by regional drive-thrus, but it gained traction in the Latter-day Saint, the Mormons community, as a fun, customizable treat because they can't have caffeine necessarily. And they can't drink alcohol. They can't drink alcohol. Right. That's the main one. Although there is caffeine in soda, but maybe that's less that they're allowed to drink it. I didn't hear the caffeine part. I heard it was because they can't drink liquor. But go ahead. Yeah. Yeah.

01:05:25
Speaker 2: Right.

01:05:25
Speaker 1: So that's where it came from. Dirty soda. It sounds disgusting. It's gross. So only if you have had a dirty soda, leave us a talk back and tell us if you like it. Because it sounds freaking gross to me. Pretty gross. Disgusting. Ugh. All right. I got to go pack. You have anything else? You got to go pack. Yeah, it's time for us to go. I mean, I don't want to, but, you know, iHeart's like, come on. One hour and out. We do like 79 minutes. Last week was like 86 minutes. It's okay. All right, I'll give you one more last quick thing. Keep going. I need to find a new urologist. Oh, okay. You got to keep up on your urology. You know, I don't know if I'd want to share urologists with you. If I was going to say, should I give you a recommendation? No, I don't want that. That means he's touching you. He's touching yours. He touched mine, touching you, touching me, touching me.

01:06:23
Speaker 3: Yeah.

01:06:23
Speaker 1: Okay. So I'm looking at, you know, your healthcare benefits plan has a website where you can search for providers. So here are the names of some of the urologists, the Dick doctors, Dick doctor. Okay. No, no joke. W H a N G. Dr.

01:06:39
Speaker 2: Wang.

01:06:42
Speaker 1: Dr. Johnson. Yeah. And this is my favorite. Scary. I'm going to hold it up to the screens because no one's going to believe me. What is the name of that doctor? Eric Seaman. I thought you were going to hit me with a Dr. Wood. No, he is a fertility doctor, and that's his name. So sometimes you get a job that you sort of were born into. Sometimes, yeah, sometimes fate delivers you to your job. And lastly, speaking of dick jobs, good luck with your nephew on that cruise. Oh, God. That's terrible. I'm going to have a good time. I'm going to miss the slices. It's going to be, well, we'll have some fun stories to come back with, you know? Yes, I can't wait to hear what kind of shoes you see on the plane. Hopefully not those camel toe shoes. And this is your last vacation of the summer, right? Of the summer, yes. But then the fall vacation starts in October. The Voice from Brooklyn! Brooklyn! The Voice from Brooklyn! Brooklyn!
