Speaker 1: Start up, dot Up, start up. Brooklyn Boys, start up, Brooklyn Boys, start up, dat Up. They're making noise data dot up episode. I'm David Brody. Yeah you are who? You stant know who? I am already sat at your recorded earlier. No, no, I didn't. I didn't say. Now you're scary Jones. I'll tell people you that's nice. You're like Garfuncle. No, no, no, no, Hold on a second. You're a good girl. Found that would make me Oats. You're also Messina Loggins and Messina am My Oats, Yeah, yar Oats. Uh no, Daryl Hall, John Year Oats. I don't like that. It's the second parton the second person in the group never gets remember your Barns. I'm Selino. How that works? Oh yeah, am My will Lenski, Yeah, I'm Smith. I'm also Smith in your wesson My Costello No, because you're abbot. Yeah no, no, no. Costello was the funny one came second in that particularly Sorry you can't have both ways and I am I hearty uh My laurel. Oh, that's a tough one. Am My Hooch because I don't want to be Hooch. I don't want to be hooch should be who else should I be? Shirley? Oh, I don't wanna be Laverne. No, I don't want to be Laverne. She was the tough asshole. Yeah, I'll be Laverne. So maybe it's not too bad having this second person. It's not always, not always. I will figure that out anyway. Episode is eighty eight. I said twenty eight at the top of No, I think it's twenty eight. It's twenty eight, by the way, we god Man times just flying by with us. Um. Yeah, but here's the thing. They like to call us their brother podcast, so we'll call them the sister podcast and an acquired taste podcast. They're up to like a hundred and four hundred and five, so true fully, we're nowhere even close. This is definitely episode. Yeah. So we went to their show, uh at the Ainsworth. Yes they are. They are not a sponsor, but I must tell you that they are a partner of mine. You gotta hit the jingle. You are such a prick, you just you just not only are they not a sponsor, you're a part You're like a one percent owner in the place you mentioned the Wow could have thought of a better place where they could have their party for their plenty of better places than a place they're home. Mac and cheeseburger you have, but you stop, stop promoting. I want to tell you this. They got mac and cheeseburger three ways, so they put the burger around there, then they have mac and cheese on top of that, and then they have like a almost like a deep fried mac and cheese underneath. It's just like mac and cheese heaven. I'm sorry, I'm sal I'm elevating these days because you're on a doctor program to lose weight. Speaking bula you bubba bobbed me today? How did I buh bah bay you? So we're in the studio and you know, we're all trying to be producers when the commercials off the you know, we're running. Commercials were around the air and I had to tell Elvis something. He wanted me to tell him something, but you were on the intercom trying to hear something. And Elvis desinitely wanted me to tell him something. But you had to tell him something. But that could have waited. So I was like anyway, I was, You're like, yeah, you gave me the stop in the name of love hand and you blah blah blah blah buped me, and then Elvis was like, what are you doing scary like him? Okay, but here's the thing. You have a you have a tendency what you're talking about to say or shush shut up? Yeah, so what is less offensive or shut up? Uh? I thinkfensive. No, it's no offensive. Gets hand. It didn't stop hand. Here's the thing. You didn't stop traffic hand. You're like a bullet china shop. When you talk, you there's no room for I have for other people to have oxygen in the room. There's none every It's just like you're NonStop, NonStop. So the one time that I actually wanted to say something because I needed to say it, I needed to be an interruptive tone, okay, so I had to go And then I said yeah, but okay, okay, So what's wrong with blah blah blah blah. It's not rude? You are like you are like if you put you didn't put your finger up. You did like one finger like hold on one second, Well you did full hand. And then when I went yeah, but you double bubb up me and then I was like, are you serious? And then you triple buboup. Men can't triple ba. I need the extra bubbap stop. Yeah, And then you were dumbfounded when Elvis just like, what are you doing, Scare that's rude. You're like, I needed to talk and he was talking. That's all you do is talk. That's what we get paid to do. That's right. How great would this podcast be if neither one of us talked? You know what? I would love I would love to get paid by the word. Dude, I'd be rich. Clearly I'm not paid by the word. That would be awesome. Okay, So back to the Acquired Taste podcast. So they how did they packed the place live in this this club that know the name of the club. That's a sports bar with great food. I had the macaroni and cheese balls, which were very good and I don't have a share and it so I can say it. And the their listeners, by the way I would say, um, I would say, loved us. And they treated the girls of the Acquired Taste podcast like they were the Beatles, and they came out from backstage. It were going crazy. Then when when Bethany said, our brother podcast, the Brooklyn Boys are here, and we came out just for a second place when berserk. Yeah, that I was. I was really touched and humbled by it. And we weren't really there for us. We weren't touched a few times we were there, we were honestly there for them. It was just it was just the Macon cheese. And I couldn't. I was just fascinated by the amount, the amount of people that traveled long distances to be there. I thought it was going to be filled with local people that just like you know, the girl flew in from Maine, with people from South Jersey, from Pennsylvania, Western Pennsylvania, from New Hampshire, so it means you know. And I kept pulling people and I said, so why are you traveling for such a long time to three hours to get here? And it turns out that I guess people are predisposed to listening to podcast when they have longer commutes, which makes sense. So if you've got a forty five minute plus commute, first of all, I feel bad for you, Yeah, but second of all, you need to slow down because our podcasts about an hour. Yeah, you don't want to miss that last fifteen That's usually when I'm going. Not Some people have been saying that they need to to do us in two doses. Yeah, all right, that's okay. So we had a couple souple, a couple of favorite moments from from the Acquired Taste UH broadcast. One, this girl came up to me and she wanted to get a picture and say hello, sweet girl. And there was a girl next to her. The girl next to his name was Jess. Okay, the girl came up to me. I I want to say hello to Jess, Jessica, UM, Christine UM, Amanda, Lauren. There were a lot of was so many people who try I can't remember his names. So this does one girl come to me and she says, I just listened to the last episode that you guys did. I knew I was coming tonight. I'm all caught up on an Acquired Taste. I listened to episode it's great. What episode do you recommend? I listened to next, what's the best episode? Where do you go from there? So I said, well, you know, I really can't say what the best episode is. And before I could get into my spiel, this girl, Jess says, excuse me. I don't mean to interrupt, but there's a rule you have to listen to the shows in order, so start with episode zero and work your way up. And I'm all about I'm all about that. I am too. The thing is, it's just it's gonna take people so long to catch up. That's okay, people binge watch Game of Thrones, it's seven seasons or whatever. I know, But like, for instance, they don't go, I'm gonna watch season three, episode two. We're coming in. Today's Valentine's Day and we're recording this right, so people wanna listen to the episode that's most relevant to the to that day. So they're like, you know what, it's Valentine's I'm in a Valentine's mood. So then why don't you Um, yeah, why don't tease at the door? What's going on? We get it? We got pizza? What's going on with? Uh yeah, hold on, what's up? We have pizza logo? Yeah I'm not sure, but some boxes of pizza just arrived and there's a bb Rex and no non it's saying she says thank you for I don't even know what. So I just took a slice. Figured if I'm gonna get in trouble that I'm going down here. We love babe Rex and you tell intern Mike to bring me bring us a box of pizza with brookn Boys. I mean, yeah, I know it is only bring a box in here. We have pizzas here at the Brooklyn Boys podcast. By the way, we're still looking for a pizza sponsor. Yeah, that would be like a slam though. I gotta, I gotta. I don't know what's gonna come from it. What shout out to Jacob on Instagram who wants to sponsor our podcast with a product that he sells on Amazon? Oh you're the best, Mike? Thanks? Is this all of ours? I mean, who does this belong to? Is just go along to the program director. We can't just steal pizza. Hold on. So I'm gonna say this is very thin cruss, but I don't think it's supposed to be. Oh yeah, well, I'm glad you guys get to eat. I'm sitting here salivating watching this. So here's what I'll say. What what would you agree, uh, Mike, Mike into this? Mike would would you say this pizza although it's free about six? About six? Gregg says five and a half. It's like a solid five point seven five. I gotta tell you. I can just I could just look at it and tell you it ain't anything special. I mean, I'm from Connecticut. Yeah, I prefer this or Connecticut pizza. Wait a second, New Haven is like the Okay, so Peppie's Great clam Pizza's own catagorie. Every time I go, it is not available every single time, Like I'm sorry, we don't like what do you mean? We go to like eleven am, like right when they open, like ten am whatever, and they still don't have it. Every single time. I say, it smells so good in here. It sounds pretty good, you know. But what the other thing is with the pizza? Uh? What was it? Stacy's? What are the other ones up there? Stella's? There's like seven and seven different places. But Bradley, Mike in turn, Mike, I appreciate you coming here with pizza. I don't want to do a tour of pizza run Connecticut. Let's move on good pizza. Place named Stacy's. That's not an Italian. That's not Italian. You're not. Yeah, it's like Abraham's and pizza. You can't have it. You can't have a name like that. I would think if you name a pizza place Stacy's. It's like some daughter from like some from like the dad who was Italian who used to have a business time. Dad's like Eugene. It's like I'm gonna open up a pizza Placene. So to the best pizza that we we've eaten. It's from a place called Artichoke. The name is Autochoke, but sillities. You should look that up and see what people know what. It's a good point saying, okay, artichoke is a vegetable, right, which is more Italian than Stacy. And by the way, if your name is Stacy and your last name is like del Vecchio, Scott Lamiglio, I get it. But your name is Stacy. It's not Maria. You want to give me pizza, I'm going to Maria's. I'm going to Teresa's, right, and I'm not exactly. I'm not gonna do you spell Jennifer with an A at the end of Jennifer, I'll buy your pizza. I'm not going to Jennifer's for pizza. I'm not going to Jennifer. Agree. You know I'm Jewish. I'm not going to Moista for pizza. I'm not. I'm not unless it's coach pizza discriminating. You just don't know what's in a name. Listen, I would go to your Your pizza place will be Anthony's Pizza. Okay, your brother Stephen. I'm not going to pizza place. No, that doesn't mean there isn't a Steven's Pizza in your town. That's good. I'm saying it's bad marketing. No, like for Jewish movie we go to Jerry and Harvey's and that's right. Sounds like right right, I'm not gonna go to Greg. I'm not gonna hold on, let me ask your question. Scary. You're Italian, right, I'm pseudo Italian that I grew up in an Italian neighborhood where everyone in the in the neighbor was Italian but me so I I grew up but basically Italian heritage, Italian pronunciations of words. There's no such thing as the Maffia, right, and if there ever was one, maybe very nice people. Yes, So, as you were saying, you're driving down when you drive, that's usually my job driving down, I actually do think hold on, you drive, Yeah, you we didn't land on the moon, but so we're driving down the street, right, and there's a pizza place on the left side of the street, pizza place on the right side of the street. On the right side, it says Tony and Sal's Pizza. On the left side it says Eric's Pizza. You're not going Eric's Pizza. But no, no, But I would do my homework first. I would. I would yelp it, google it. It turned Mike turn Mike. What's your what's your last name? I have ARONI? How many vowels in there? Like eight? If I was a wheel of fortune, I would buy every vowel. What don't you have? You have an eye? And oh any I don't have a y? That's sometimes you have it's I'm missing as you. Yeah, well the only person has me is my wife. It's alright. So so the point is he's very Italian. His name is Italian. You're not going to Eric's Pizza. He should be. He looks like you should be walking around with a white apron on with something like dough. He's ready to go. Yeah, you should see my father. Three pounds black slick, black hair drives like a Lincoln Town bodies in that drum. Just because we were talking about the Oxford Colan and the commasfrontation. Is your father three pounds black comma, slick black hair, sl slick hair. It's got a little bit of gray in there. Okay, alright black. Just by the way I heard him as I say black as well, it sounds like his father was black, which is totally fine. But I thought you were your Italian, not that you can't be black in Italian, but you don't look like anyway he's he has like nice he has a nice hand, skin and everything. I like the whitier side of it because this might be like my Polish side and my little pish. I'm a mutt, so I'm half Italian, quarter Polish, eighth German, eighth Dutch. Now people are gonna ask us what intern Mike looks like? Who's intern Mike? Is your pickturep at office rand dot com. You can be I don't really like posting pictures myself, even on Instagram, and unless it's with a celebrity something I lay in the low. There's no pictures you on the internet. Do you want there to be? I want to give out your Instagram handle? All right about your Instagram? Go for it at Mike everyoney, m I k E I A V A R O N E. All right, I'm gonna just say, ladies, you won't be disappointed. Thanks you to pizza, Mike. He appreciate you. Can I say something? Can? Can I say something? Here? Yeah? The last seven minutes we're fucking torture for me. I have three guys. Oh yeah, you can't eat pizza. Three got bones singing here, just chowing down on pizza. It smells so good. And I'm staring at you guys, and I'm like, again, I don't know where it's from. Thank you, Bebe Rexham. I would love Bebe Rexham and her record label. Of course, so he signed the box. Getting back to that, but again, it's like a six. It's too thin. There's not enough cheese. Have to think that. Bebe didn't really put much thought pizza. Yeah, but she didn't think about it. She probably sat there and was like, I want to send them pizza. Hey, people, send them the pizza. And they said that they So her people made a decision that was ill advised. You know who are people are who Eric and Abraham And they ordered the pizza. All right, Well, okay, so it's not the greatest pizza. So I know I'm not missing out on much. I'm in turn, Mike, thank you very much. Also in turn, Mike loaded in my two Valentine's Day songs. You know how to search for them, right, Mike, thank you. We're gonna play those in a the while. You're the best. You have to hit the button. Yeah, there you go, There you go. I love that. Yeah, good guy, good people. So at the Acquired Taste podcast, getting back on track now, but we we took a twelve minute diversion. That's okay, that's what we do. We learned that the fan army of an Acquired Taste podcast, they're called they they're called taste buds. They've they've called themselves that if you listen to that show, you're a taste Bud. So on the fifteen Minute Morning Show and the Elvis try In fifteen Minute Morning Show also on I Heart Radio and iTunes on Monday the twelfth, Right, we talked about because we had the girls from the Aquired Taste podcast in US and then Elvis came in later, but it was almost an Acquired Taste of Brooklyn Boys podcast the Combo, and we tried to come up with the name of our fan army, and so if you didn't hear that, here are some of the names we came up with for possible fan army names, because because eventually we're gonna do a live show, we gotta able to call you guys something. Okay, here's what we came up with. I came up with because we're Brooklyn boys. You're one of the boys. Now, scary you are concerned that that leaves out women, And I was like, no, girls can be one of the guys one of the boys. Yeah, no I am. I am not happy about that. I feel like it's gotta it's got to be neutral. I plus, there's better puns, there's better places on words. Come on, brody, you're smarter than that. You're more clever than that. You're witty, I like. So then we said we have pizza in our logo, and we said, what if we call everybody listening to our show the slices, Like you're a slice. I'm a slice home slice. Yeah, like the slices slice, I'm a slice. I kind of all of our listeners together make up the whole pie that listens to our show. Yeah. Okay. Then I said, well, you know, growing up, I really liked a heavy metal band called Twisted Sister and they called their fans SMFS, which was sick motherfucker's and uh, they had a song called You're an SMF. And I was thinking, so, we've always on Twitter where the Brooklyn Boys WTF and we always put w t F and a a lot of us, So you want to do the w TS? Yeah, could be the w TF. So what the fucker's like? People don't give a fucking listen to our podcast, so that's a possibility. And then the last one was suggested I think by Bethany that we should call our fan army the Free Desserts. Yeah. People were suggesting stuff on Twitter too, I don't know, or the Ranters. How about the Ranters? People are rant, No, that's just me. I'm not I'm not offended by that. I just I don't think one of the boys. I don't think. I don't like that. There's gotta be something else, which is with a play on words that we're not thinking of. Maybe it's it's not time yet, it'll just come naturally, because apparently the Acquired Taste Girls did not even ask for that. It just happy happening. Well, somebody suggested it and they went right I'm okay with that. So anyway, well this is going up today on Valentine's Day. How the Valentine's Day to you broke be Valentine's Day to you happy? Do you notice how I did that right? Yes, you did Happy Valentine's Day. You didn't say Valentine's Day, which one of our co workers says all the time in the meeting every year. Yeah, we're not gonna name him by name, and so that I'll tell you what I'll tell you. I'll tell you about Valentine's Day. Let me tell what I'm doing tonight. It's my job for my wife and my girls. I'm bringing home heart shaped pizza. They were like, you gotta get from that place. They have heart shaped pizzas. I don't love their pizza there, but it's heart shaped. And I said, well, how about we go to the place we like and I'll just cut it into the shape of a heart. I think that's better. They're like, no, you gotta get the heart shaped pizza. Come, but what a scam. What a scam that I have to buy heart shaped pizza in the On a scale of one to ten, seven pizza place in town as opposed to the ten, which has better pizza, just not heart shaped. No, you can't sacrifice quality from that. It's not the kind of heart shaped pizza that's like what people like. They have Mickey Mouse pancakes. Pickey Mouse pancakes are there are the poop you know what I'm talking about. You put one pool you want pool of of pancake mix in the in in the middle of the griddle, and then you put two smaller circles for the ears, and you got Mickey Mouse. You get a Mickey Mouse waffle maker, and you can make the waffle with the ears already attached. Really, yeah, you go to Disney World. They got there. We'll see. Disney just has Mickey mouse head shaped waffles. But you can do the big waffle and the two small waffle. The waffle is also okay. Well, by the way, how old were you? It's not gonna taste better. How old were you when you realized that waffles and pancakes were basically the same ingredient just poured into a mold or flat I thought they were totally different things because they taste different with the air and the crunchiness. Yeah right, it's just the way they're cooked with the waffle iron, get them up. I guarantee as people who are like listening right now, there's gotta be somebody who's like, I didn't realize a second hold on now, Brodie, um is the ingredient the mix for the exact same thing. It's quicken water. But I bet you that was just a short cut and now that it's all homogenized. But maybe back in the day, maybe there was something with waffle I'm just questioning it. Maybe of our friend Bobby Flame makes waffles, he probably does some extra stuff in it. I need to believe that. Buttermilk chefs that chefs make waffles and pancakes a little differently. I I it has to vary slightly. I don't think it's the same exact thing. Yeah, you throw chocolate chips in it, or banana pieces if you're making something with a lot fruit in it. But other than that, it's the same batter you poured into the mold or you poured on the on the flat top. I had to be thirty when I realized it. Like when I finally made it, I'm like, I was like, oh, because I bought it. It It says like pancake mix, right, And I was like, oh, I need to go by waffle mix, and then I was like, there's a bag. Is his pancake and waffle treat them both the same afterwards, butter and syrup. Yeah, So so being at Valentine Valentine kinds have the same Valentine right, Valentine apostrophe? Okay, so you have to you have some beef. I have a beef. I can't believe there are adults. We work with adults that say Valentine's Day, all right. And so a friend of mine, Eric Schwartz, easy, he's a h er. Eric Schwartz is one of other than me, of course, one of the greatest song parody writers in the world. I love him and a lot of times we write the same parody with like slightly different words, like He'll go, oh, I'm gonna write this parody about this topic and he'll do this, and I'll do the same. And we became friends because we started seeing each other's work. A great guy. He's on the West coast. I'm on the East coast. So he posted a song on Instagram yesterday. He wrote it a couple of years ago. It's hilarious. It's called Valentine's day, Grammar Graham dash Valentine. Let's play a little clip of that easy baby, You're so fine. But this is where I draw the line. Motion No, there is no time to be your Valentine. You gotta say perfect, no longer using him for And when you say Valentine, somebody call the Grammar police that she's committed a crime. There's no such thing as a Valentine. I love your girl. I don't discold you. Just saying what everyone's thinking but never told you. And you do it all the time. And I never say jack this one strong and broke the camel's back. But when the extra cook my breakfast, I just let it's life as I believe in you inside when you said you study in the lie bery though it wasn't die like bu bery. Chery got a big heart, you got all the right features. But I can't bring you home to my parents. Brother both deep Jersey, Okay, but you know that anyway. So so we have we have a person that every time we have a meeting, every year, you're playing events for the holiday. He's is Valentine's and nobody wants to correct them. So it's another one of those things we're like, oh, my god, everyone's talking about it and nobody tells them. Oh, so here is this one of mine? What's this gramm? No, I have one coming for next episode. That's the next episode, so hold on. I just want to tease a head in the podcast. I wrote to Valentine's Day songs that we're gonna play another while. Okay, good, we're gonna get to those ahead. So just just one note from Taylor McGurk. Sorry, oh man, I'm fortunate last name. That's okay. He's a longtime fan, listens to every episode from day one in order in order. Yeah, not sure this is incorrect, but to me, this sign is a little misleading, as it seems as if they're telling us it is fine for littering. I think might as well bring this up to the Grammar police to further investigate. So he sends us a picture of a sign that says, Brodie fine for littering. Oh yeah, that's fine, it's okay. Yes, I can throw my banana peel out the window. You could throw my burger king it's fine. Fine, cup, It's not great, it's just fine. It's it's fine for littering. Okay, So the proper way of displaying. That should have been fine four liter four littering, right, I should say like fine for littering if you litter, like if you literally littering exactly, yes, so there's no real fine for litter r So jen Ouzi Silverio again, I think when you hyphenate your names, you should put some thought into that. That's a mouthfully Suzi or uzzy Suzy Silverio and her Twitter is jay Uzi Silverio. She sent us a picture, uh from Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, that our home town. That that's like right next door. I was born there right, Oh you are well it was actually Bensonhurst, but we were blocks away from Dyker. But who was the rich neighbor? There's a store I assume the name of the story is like is b J, but there's no impostubs like BJ's host sale. And by the way, who doesn't love a host sale b J? If you know what I'm saying, all right, So the sign and I'm gonna retweet this now it says, b J, how do you pass that store without going in? I got a twenty says I'll stay there the whole day and then, oh you know what, let me pull up the sign when we were on our way to the Acquired Taste podcast. You said, come over with my house. We'll leave from my house, will uber over. Yeah. So I go to a street that looks like it has on street parking no meters with a lot of street signs. Okay, you can kill that music now. I hate yelling. I don't hate yelling, but we do your grammar, because this isn't really grammar. You do your sign the one the last grammar. Police, are you gonna post this on Brooklyn b what's pizza? Post this that you're talking about? Post these pictures on the Brooklyn Boys on Instagram? Yeah, we can do that. I don't know if we have the rights to them, but we can, uh what we should? Well, well, one of them is already posted. Well what are you talking about rights on Instagram? All right? I thought maybe that these are street signs. Okay, well this one is not a street sign. This is a very big group manica grammatical error and it's already posted. Oh all right, you know where you can find it your other podcast. No, you know where you can find dot com under David Brody's bio on Elvis dur Ran dot com. Oh, somebody made a typo something wrong. Yeah, yeah, it wasn't me, homie. I don't post that alright, Shaggy. Peter May writes to us and says, hey, guys, fan of you, both looking forward to the podcast every week. The grammatical debate on episode twenty six was hysteric. However, I feel obligated to point out that in Brody's bio on the Elvis Rand website, there are two Oh oh god, Peter, what are you doing? He wrote, there too grammatical mistakes. He wrote, there th h e y apostrophe r e. Peter, you're trying to cot trying to correct Brody here, and you made a grammatical error in that sentence. Ironic anyway, by the way, that is that is irony, not coincidence, exactly why I used that word right now. So too, grammatical mistakes. He Brody writes, when I'm not working, but he wrote, I'm I am with no apostrape. That's a typo, doesn't matter, still a grammatical it's a type anyway, when I'm not working, which isn't often isn't I Z I s n T with this supposed to be an apostrophe after the end and there isn't Okay, here's what. Hey, there isn't an apostrophe after isn't. But we were having a problem where every time we put an apostrophe, the website showed a mp it showed it showed AMP. If you put an amper sam an amper sam, or an apostrophe, it put code there. So maybe Kathleen took the code out and didn't put an apostle. For whatever, I don't run look foolish. So anyway, Peter, he wrote that, and you said that he wrote it. He did not? You lying Brett, fuck you, fuck you alright ahead? So how cold? How could Prody let this happen? You guys are the best. Keep up the great work. That's from Peter. All right. Now those are your grammatical errors of the week. Hey, hashtag grammar police on Twitter, get us there, post those signs, post those funny things that are spelled wrong. You know what, no hashtag Brooklyn boys, you have a hashtag, you have a grammar police will get will get thousands. We can't everybody at at Brooklyn boys, w TF? Yes, just when we'll see it. So I go to park on the street across from your house, like around the corner across the street, and it was. It was a Sunday right, Sunday night. Sunday night. There's three signs on the pole. Now, I don't know where you're from, but usually it should be like one sign, maybe two. This one has three signs, one on top of the other, stacked up like an ice cream cone with three scoops. Okay, I'll tweet this out at some point. By the time you hear this, it'll be up on Instagram. The top sign says no parking six am to eight am Monday and Thursday. That street cleaning. I get that. That means don't have you call. We're gonna clean the streets Monday and Thursday six to eight. Easy enough. Below that in green two hour parking eight to five Monday to Friday. Okay, there's stores there. They don't want you to hang around too long. They want you to shop and leave. I get that. So eight to five Monday Friday to our parking. But if it's Monday Thursday before eight, you can't be there. You got it? Now Back to red. The bottom of the three signs scoop number one. It says tollway zone any vehicles without Zone seven permit par up over two hours getting towed. Now it does that mean you have to be zoned seven to be in the two hour green sign? So that you shouldn't even be parking there if you're not green? Does it? And it doesn't say day of the week? So does that all the time? Yet? Dem zone seven? Park? Heap? Okay? So I I understand that people in Hudson County, New Jersey City have been complaining about this for years. So super confused. So a guy walks by and he sees me taking a picture of the sign and staring at it trying to I called you and I said, hey, I got a spot. I told you, like, I don't know. And so I'm like, well, you'd think no parking hour parking on Sundays because it's Monday to Friday. But it's his tollway zone, so yeah, it's it's and it's a different color, so it's a different sign. It's not like it's connected. So the guy walks bind, he is what are you looking at it? I said, do you live here? Yeah? What what's the sign mean? He goes, I parking a garage. I can't help you. He goes, I don't even look at the signs? Could you look at a sign. He looks. He goes, yeah, you're screwed. I don't know. Yeah, So what I've come to learn is that what it really means is that after five pm and he of the week and before six am, it's free parking for everybody. But during those two times, during those eight to five when you can park there for two hours, you can. Uh, you gotta be so if I come from another neighborhood, I can't shop here. You can, but you can only park two hours. You just told me an episode seven, No two out you can park for two hours from eight to five, right, if you're not zoned and win his Zone seven in effect at night. No, that's when it's in effect outside of I'm not Zone seven, I can't come shop. No, if you're not Zone seven, you're good after five pm. It doesn't say that there's no times on the sign Scoop number one just says always zone any any vehicles without Zone seven permit parked over two hours. So I can come there at night, but only even two hours after five pm. You're clear. You you could sleep over at my place and then and then come out of your car, come to your car at eight o'clock in the morning, and you're good. No one's gonna boy to you. What if the what if the ticket officer that the meter made, the meter guy, the police officer, what if they don't understand the signs. They don't have a book that says one sign plus two signs plus three signs and what that equals. I'm with the guy who walked by. So I called the precinct, the police precinct of your town, your neighborhood, and she said, what is this ice? I talk her through and she goes, oh, yeah, nobody works on Sunday. You can park there? Is it? What is it legal? I don't know. I can't figure those signs out myself, she says, somebody who worked for the department. Yeah, she's I don't know what the hell they mean either, But I'm telling you, I'm here. There's nobody here. Nobody works on Sundays. So guess what. You can commit crime on Sunday and scary town because nobody works. It's true. So you tell me what you're doing for Valentine. I'm getting pizza, hat shape pizza and March's ironic. I guess it's gonna clog my heart. You know what, I'm gonna do tonight. And and this is something that you guys poop pooed me four on the fifteen minute Morning show, but we didn't me but and you know what, I had people side with me on this. No, women, I'm going to a party tonight, you know, on Valentine's Day, going to dinner, first dinner first okay, scala one to ten? How romantics to dinner? It's it's at the venue. The venue where the party is. What you're eating dinner at the party place. It's a fancy restaurant in the It's okay. The party is at a hotel. The party is at a hotel. It's um. And I could say this again, No, no one's paying for any of this. It doesn't matter. It's it's it's Sports Illustrated, the Swimsuit Edition, which comes out every jump in ahead. Where's they're having the Swimsuited issue, a Swimsuit edition issue of its magazine. They're having a launch party. It's a it's an annual party that they have every year. That's famous. We're celebrities and everybody. Did you just say it's an annual party they have every year. Yeah, that's grammatical prool. That's the that's the that's the department. Ever done and C department. Yes, it's an annual party they have. How often do they have that? And they always changed the venue and always celebrities and hold on, if anyone heard him do that before, I said something, I got you back. I'm here for you. Okay, good, all right, So so ahead continue celebs. That's good. So they were people were just you know, celebs, athletes, everybody, and you can show up and right, and somehow they found me two tickets to show up. Actually the people and it was it was a Ruba tourism. Okay, just just to be open about this whole thing. Hold on, A lot of the magazine was shot in a room. I've seen the videos. Yeah you did. I did research for this podcast. How much time did you spend on those pictures and videos? Well? No, because okay, there was a video yesterday posted that we went everywhere. Kate Upton was taking pictures on a rock and a and a wave knocked her down. She was topless, holding her own boobs and the wave knocked her down and she fell boom out off the rock onto our back. It was very scary. I was worried for so, so Aruba jumped in and said, we want to be part of this party, and so they're in it. So so the Ruba people said, scary, come hang out. It's Valentine's night, so men Milly might want to come or maybe. So I said, you know what, I'll tell you what I said. I have a date, I have dinner. But why don't I do this? I said, if you could invite my girlfriend to the party with me, I'd be more than happy to show up. So I'm gonna stop by this party. And I'm humbled to at that point. You didn't have dinner reservations at that hotel, did you? I had them somewhere else, right, So which place is nicer? They're on par with each other because this is the place that I'm having It is a seafood spot, which is fancy in the hotel. So we're gonna have dinner after work. Boom, We're gonna show up. We're gonna have dinner, and then after dinner we're gonna get up. We're gonna probably walk maybe down the hallway, down the hall and go to check into the party. Now, why are you calling it Buba? Okay? I think you know it's a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. Right. My girlfriend loves boobs, God bless her. Who does she loves looking at looking at women? She does not. On Valentine's she goes to strip clubs. She goes with her girlfriends to go strip clubs where women are taking their clothes off. And I don't like strip clubs. I fucking hate strip so s she pretty much. I was like, you know what, I'm okay with this. I'm okay with I'm okay with she said, she's okay with it. I think we should ask ask someone of our friends, do you want to do that or not? Really, I just want to get to the bottom of this. First, you decided to take her this party you wanted to go to, right, Yeah, And it was my idea, but she came along with it, so I gave her. I said, go google YouTube videos passed Sports Illustrated swimsuit parties, and you tell me if you want to come to this party or not. Okay. So I just feel like that's that you really wanted to go to this party, because of course I'm you're dead, So I feel like you should have gone somewhere a little more romantic than Bubba Palooza. You know you're not going. I know you're going to the party for the articles. I get it, Like that's why you're going. I'm going because it's one of those parties that that you'd want to be seen at or go to. You want to you want to attend, right, don't you think so? I understand that. But you like to go to places that are hard to get into. And my feeling is if you blow Valentine's Day, your girlfriend's gonna be hard to get into. This is not like I'm not gonna get blown on Valentine. Wow, I didn't think that was necessary. Okay a joke, yes, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, well maybe you know, you get some swimsuit model action. Look, she wants to go to this party as much as I do, and she thought it would be a very unique du Yeah. I left it up to her. I said, Robin, Robin, if you don't want to go to this party and you can, we can back out. Now, can do our own thing. We go to a show on Broadway. But guess what, you could see a show on Broadway any night of the week. Here's how you pitched it. In my mind, you pitched it like this, Hey, Robin, I got this really nice dinner that I'm paying for, and I got tickets his exclusive party. It's so exclusive anybody people killing it in. I'd really like to go. But if you don't want to go and you want to ruin my night, okay. I feel like you made it very clear to her you really want to go to this party. I know that it would be cool if we went, and and that's and I left it there. And if she would have said, hey, I don't really want to do that, That's not how I convisioned it. But she's nice to you know. She loves boobs. So you're going to jingle boob and that's your Valentine's Day night. Jiggle boob. I'm going to jingle bo jiggle boob. If that I would is that a concert town tom jiggle boob. I'll tell you, Brodie, you don't get out of You're talking about a once in a life, once once a year event. Come on, how about this. By the way, if it was Friday night and you had two tickets, I'm gonna flip the script on you. Hold on, hold on, if you had two tickets right to paradise, thank you any money? And uh, it was on a Friday and Robin wasn't available. You take me right, of course, That's all I need to know. But the romance, I just know that Valentine's Day could be any day of the year. So there, you know. I mean every every night you'd be down tight. So one time you go into the bubatorium tonight, seven o'clock. Anyway, it's it's, it's it's it's a should be a lot of fun. Anyway, I appreciate you. Who's this guy sitting here just walked in? Oh god, it's l Pete, l G Pte. We haven't seen you in l Oh my god. A lot of people coming back from our past today. Okay, can I tell you about l G Pete? First of all, l G Pete, I'm getting ready with the jingle in a minute, because Scary works at you on LG. So that's okay, fine. We By the way, we gave one new uh Jimmy fallon when he was he was very happy, very very nice. It's a beautiful television in the pants. So I so I um. I told Scary he can't keep dropping client names and all the time for no reason. So we were talking about some friends of his. He was gonna go see. He's like, oh, I'm gonna see this one, that one, and he goes, oh, I may see my friend Lauren Grossman. You know what was it about TVs we're talking about. We talk about PC Richard and son. He goes, you know, stops there, buys your TVs there, Lauren Grossman, you know, like good buddy l J L. He does. And the sad thing is, and I understand. Listen, Scary is a great pitch man. He's great at commercial or a walking endorsement. But if I'm the client, I'm thinking, who knows more about TVs? Who appreciates electronics more than David Birdie? Nobody, Nobody researches the black levels and the the input. Do they have the can I? Okay? Can I tell you? I'm gonna show you a picture to show you how loyal I am, and I'm not gonna do it on the podcast. I was in uh An electronics store, was PC Richard's son, and I noticed sponsor. I love them. I've been shopping. There's some some kids not getting paid for it. Look at this picture. Look at this picture. So you know that this isn't the setup. Look at this picture on my on my phone and see if you see a difference in in the uh in the pictures. You see how like every like two out of four, two out of five are really bright and perfect picture and all the other ones are washed out. Yeah, the bright perfect ones are. So I take a picture of like one nine eleven eleven TV sets. Four of them look fantastic every angle. Yeah. Again, I'm not a I'm not a client. I'm gonna I don't get paid, I'm not nothing. So I took that picture again because I'm a TV file. I'm a TV nut. So I took the picture because it was noticeable, and I went to every TV and I went, oh my god, you're right again, not a commercial every TV in that picture that looks fantastic from that angle. LG absolute blown away. And I'm gonna be honest, I love LG. But three years ago they weren't top dog. But there was a time Sony was top dog. Long time ago. You're not known for being top dog anyway. Panasonic had its day, and then hold On Shaw had its day when they did the course. There was a period of four or five years where Samsung was was the poop Samsung, all my TVs with Samsung in that window of time, Samsung, I gotta tell you, past year and a half, LG has has really no joke again. My father, we didn't buy furniture. We put tape on the couches. But when he came to spending any money, we have a lot of money. He bought a TV. He would buy Sony, that was his thing. But he taught me Sun, you buy a good TV, you buy the best TV, and the hell with everything else. The refrigerators falling upon which I needed refrigera will talk about l fridges um. But the department looked like the honeymooners. We had nothing. We did. We had very little in our house. But we had a Sony XPR, which was top of the lineback then, with picture and picture, because that's what my father taught me. You get it then it's the centerpiece and you lose yourself in the TV and doesn't matter what's going on around you. They took the lead in this horse race, LG. Really well, so it's not a commercial. Let's move on. Let's move on. The point is he worked it into and I yelled at him for it and Uh, Jimmy Fallon as wealthy as he is. His eyes lit up because he knows anyway. Yeah, that's it's all about progression though. I mean, if you think about it, ten years ago, what was the best telephone you could buy? Wireless? And Nokia or no, what happened? They're gone? The BlackBerry gone. Their CEO made a decision that touchcreen was never gonna be pop right, and so the black Yeah. Anyway, so we have a dilemma. I'm sorry for that. Again, it wasn't a commercial. It was more of a rant. Scary has plans with his lovely girlfriend today, you know what. And since we're bringing in Pete as an expert opinion, I'm gonna ask him an opinions as a gentleman about his girlfriend as well. All right, get listen, Pete. Your how long you're married? Twenty six years? Twenty six years? You must know a thing or two about a thing that's about a thing or two. Hopefully I know how to get out of trouble. There you go, so Scary, now, don't think this is what you would want to do. Scary got invited to an exclusive party tonight, right non Valentine's Night, and he says to his girlfriend, who's taking a dinner already. Hey, I'm gonna move the restaurant to the hotel with this event is also a nice restaurant. I'm gonna see if I get reservations, which he did, and uh, we're going to this exclusive party. Oh that sounds nice. Except the party is not just a party. Okay, it's boom Topi. It's the swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated magazine Law that many a time tell us about. I have not Would you bring your wife down Valentine's Day? Probably not exactly. First of all, I'm a firm believer that there's a major distinction. Okay, are when you are dating somebody as scary as the rules are completely different than a guy married twenty six years. If I said to my wife, We're going for Valentine's Day this swimsuit, she'd be like, all right, fine, it wouldn't make a difference. But when you're on the dating side, you know, the going out with the whatever, not married, I think that's a different story. But I will tell you it is. I've been to it many times. The s I me next year, it's I'm having hat shaped pizza tonight. By the well he's having. Yeah, but it's not it's not what you think. You know, it couldn't possibly be what I think, because what I'm thinking right now I said, it's it's not Bie's thinking that girls are just gonna they're gonna be doing a car washing and bikini's. You'll be lucky if you see four girls there, that's eight boobs. They're completely dressed. Damn it. There's millions of guys, millions ship I'm just saying. But it's still a nice party, sausage festa. So that's sausage. Yeah, I mean every guy wants to go to that. It's more jingle balls than jingle boobs. But okay, but the two girls he said to four girls, Normally they have to four or five girls. Well, okay, might one of them be the recently falling down the rocks topless Kate Upton? Could be could be thank you wow? Could be? Have they not told you who is going to be? Uh special guest talking about? I haven't, I haven't. All right, we have done. We have another this is this is guest starring Guest Guest week. I know we have a lot of This is like a revolving door Hi, Bethany, how are you doing, beth He wants in from the El Trend the Mornings Show. Currently a Bethany. We we spoke about your podcast earlier the party and we had a great time. Oh you guys, it was amazing that you came. It just meant so much time. And by the way, I would do the same at the party that Scary's going to tonight. Well part, are you going to the model party? Not just the came part anyway. So he's going to the Sports Illustrated party tonight with his girlfriend, who he claims likes boobs as more than he does. Yeah, yeah, anyway. So by now you probably know that Friday the sixteenth is Bethany's last day with Elvisto in the Morning Show. That does not mean, however, that's her last day popping up on an occasional podcast. We're working on working on that. The people are talking to the people. People are talking to people, having a little espress all it, maybe little Napoleon on the side making deals. That being said, we are still in the window of no problem, no problems. So people when they found out that Bethany was leaving to explore a career in television and movies, and writing and poetry and writing greeting cards for Hallmark. Whatever she decides to do. They asked for about a couple of things, and they said, well, is she gonna do hip hop clarinet? Yes, right the sixteenth. If you tune in or if you go and listen to the replay channel or the on demand channel for Elpstina, how you'll hear it. And they said, well, is she gonna curse on the podcast? What happens to the Bethany's Curse of the Day? You have the jingle ready? I sure do, because it's time for Bethany Curse of the week. Remember Bethy. That's the same people who sing Yes, Yeah, that's that's Gavin and Angela. They're fantastic now, yes they do, haven't. No, they came in one day and did my jingles. Now the Grammar Police jingle is gonna be other people for sure. Now people complain or notice that that Midwestern Bethany doesn't really curse. And so they said, hey, can she go on your podcast and curse? So she's gonna come on the podcast and curse course of the week. Okayeh, away you starveling, you elf? Skin, you dried neats, tongue, bulls, pizzle, you stuck fish. That's Shakespearean cursing from Henry the fourth part one. All right, that was that was awful that I was still waiting for a big fuck. Well that maybe tonight at the boy and it won't be him. I mean, I'm just waiting. I need something big, I need something guttural, I need I need a curse. So you know, for Bethany, the F word is fart. That's the word. I won't say that word. That word is disgusting and wrong. Fart. I hate that word. Okay, did you guys have different names for fart when you were kids, like did Japan's? Yeah, I called it fought. I called it a pups. My dad called them poofer's hoofers pete. No Italian household, we called it a fort. That household called a fucking fall. That's right, with a curse in front of that's right. It's a fucking fun. You can call it an air biscuit. No, no air biscuit. So so what did you guy called again poofer a poofer? Yeah? That's about it. What about, by the way, on your last day, could you bring in left for I don't know if they sell at this time of year, but I'll have to find it. Okay, just remind everybody what left please. It's a lefsa is uh Norwegian potato crepe basically, okay, if you stop here, you're in good shape. Go on, so good it's um. You put butter on it, and then in my family you put brown sugar. Some people put sugar or jam. You roll it up so it's like a crape, but it's made out of potatoes, super thin. It's so amazingly good. And in my family we only have it Thanksgiving a Christmas because it's really hard to make. Um. It involves like making the potatoes one day at a certain temperature, letting them sit at a certain temperature. Like if you have one thing ingredient wrong, it all falls apart. Didn't they sell I sent you a picture. They sell it in the Norway end of Epcot at Disney, but they have it in the little in the case. Yeah, Now, what's the thing with it's like flug? What's the thing that's like gross? Don't you describe it? That's really that's ludifc, that's cod soaked in lie hang your question? Yeah, question. Yeah, growing up, when you're making you're gonna tell me, no one cursed. When you have a process where you make the potatoes, they sit for a day, certain temperature. Family didn't curse. Neither said my mom or my mom never cursed. My dad never cursed in front of us. If he cursed, he didn't do it in front of us. Neither of my grandparents, none of this man, We just didn't. They just didn't, never curse in front of us. I came from such a tough time with the Rabbi's curse. Yeah, and there's no cursing, fucking oi. Yeah, I didn't. Yeah, I grew up in a household with lots of cursing around me. And I was side people screaming expives down the street. We watched, we watched the Sesame Street, but it was the streets of Brooklyn. It was like brought to you by the letter F for fun. Yeah. We had Anthony cord Posse and his brother Paul, and they would always run up the street and the mother would open up the window and with her hair rollers and she screamed down the street. Nineties seven kids came running. Yeah, Yeah, I'm trying to think if I knew and Anthony growing up, and I don't think I did. Not a lot of Vikings named Anthony. Okay, now, you are from the Midwest, you you did not grow up around Italian people. You're not an Italian food expert. Right, So, as a non Italian and Pete as an Italian, you're both driving down the street. This was something we talked about earlier. On the right side of the street is Tony and Sal's pizzeria. Okay, okay. On the left side of the street is Stacy's Pizza Area, and next to that is Eric's Pizzeria. Yeah, who's pizzeria going into without yelping it? Without knowing who's pizza place? You're going in? Tony and salth Okay, hold on pizza, hold on, hold on to Toni and Sus Pizza, your Italian, Pete, Who's pizza place you're going into? Stacy's Pizza or Toni and South Pizzeria Tony and South. There you go. Pizza came from Stacy's Pizza. Come on, Stacy, Stacy, get your ship together. Yeah around you guys. Okay. So um, that's where Elvis would says, we had to beat Bethany Bethany said the brown word, and then the next text messages are what's the brown words? Ship? It came like being around you for three minutes has got me swearing. Okay, ready, I'm walking up the street in New Haven, Pete, don't answer this right, And I'm I'm and I'm walking up the street right and I see two pizzeria's right on my left and my right. Okay, Brody, are you gonna go to cal Mines Pizza or you gonna go to Sally's Pizza. Well, I'm gonna go to Sally's because I know that they're famous. But Sally is like sal Sally, It's a woman. Sally's pizza happens to be one of the rated number one in the entire But I knew guy's name Sally like Sally boy. They call Sally. Sally's a woman. Now I knew guys that go to New Haven. Look up Sally's. No no more, no more, no more pizza. My son goes to college right outside of New Already, I will have a lot. He called me last week to tell me that you cannot go into pizza place and say pizza. You have to say pizza. Is this a cultural thing over there. It's a New Haven thing. It's like, well, like a pas is like a pizza pizza. So I totally blew holes in your theory. Brody. No, you went to one place in one town. I'm saying, I'm not going to Eric's pizza. I'm not. I look it up first, I do my homework, all right. Speaking of things, we talked about the brown word. People don't know what the brown word is, right right? Something happened was set on the on the air today and we got a text message. Now, this is the embarrassing part. Sometimes something happens on the air and someone text in, why do they call it that? I don't know why they call it that? We were doing a thing like why do why do they do that? Was the topic, Why do they do that? So someone texted in and I was like, I can't believe this person doesn't know what that is. I said it to Scary and Scary goes, I don't know why this is. I don't know why. I'm like, you're an adult, how do you not know why? Well, because honestly, it's one of those things that I never really heard explained. It was just it was an idiomatic expression. You know what adiomatic expression means. But you have the phone in your pocket. Well, you should have looked up so before you try fingers crossmatic a lot of time. I bet you haven't. Okay. So somebody says, why do they call it a funny bone? When you bang it it hurts, there's nothing funny about it. Why do they call it a funny But we've all banged our funny bones before. I don't know the answer. Thank you, Thank you. I'm going to google that. Guess what. Immediately over half this podcast, people listening in their cars wherever they are right now. Brodie just made you feel like an idiot the way he made me feel like an idiot this morning. Because there's no way to know other than if you would have already known. And if you don't, don't know, now you know, okay, so tell us. Okay, I don't think you're an idiot for not knowing. I was just surprised you didn't know, because because you're very like I'm on my phone, you tend to sometimes look things up. It sounds like it's popular knowledge that everyone knows what means to bang your funny bone and what you watch Sesame Street growing up. They talk about like kids shows, tell you this. Let's have the big reveal, Bethany, do you want to do it? No, you do it. I don't want to. I don't want to touch it. I I think I know, but I'm afraid to say it if I'm wrong. Okay, the bone that you hit, that you hurt, and you call it the funny bone. The real Latin name for it is the humorous bone. And since humorous has humor in the title, they call it the funny bone. Okay, that is not common knowledge. That's and and one other question. So you're gonna tell me they taught us that on Sesame Street. Yeah, seems way too complicated, but that's what I'm saying, Brodie. Brodie just assumes that the whole world is in on it except for you. How many four year olds you see walking around saying humorous and that is not That is not common, but not four years scaries in his sixties, he should know the cursed this guy you But seriously, the humors bone. I learned something today, and by the way, I saved it. I did not look it up when you told me. When you, like, I said, don't look it up. Brodie, be rated me in front of everybody. I didn't be rate you. I said, I was surprised you didn't know, because you're someone that knows things like that in Google it. I'm gonna wait for the podcast and be surprised. And you know what, now, I know my apologies everyone that didn't know that, which was everybody. It was not everybody Brodie at smartass dickhead. That's not a website haste. By the way, that's how the internet works. Thank you. Pete explaining hashtag speaking of tweeting at me, I want to read a tweet because it happened again. I talked to you guys about this and I said, you got people gotta stop. And a lot of our followers saw it happening as it happened yesterday on Twitter. David Brodie was trending again. I saw that David was tractionally trending topic David Brodie. David. That's right, big big time again. Not me different David Brodie. What did David Brodie again? Again? If you go down the list of qualifications of me, who I am, named five things about me, this guy's the other five the opposite. So can we guess again, No, he's the he's the he's the let's say, see your white lodge or the white lodge to your blog. He's a very polarizing figure, right and as are you, but in the opposite so you either love him or hate him. And so when he's I talked about this a few episodes ago. When David Brodie the Christian Broadcasting Network I is on a conservative news station, his audience knows who he is, and for the most part, they're like, we get him, or they're like, not really, I don't agree with him. But but when he goes on MSNBC, CNN, NBC, CBS, he goes on a non conservative news station, their audience doesn't necessarily agree with him, and so they tweeted him hatred. Except he doesn't use at David Brodie. He uses the name of his show. I don't need to plug him now, he's a nice guy. I've tweeted at him. We go back and forth. But when you search at David Brodie the first as as you've heard previous episodes, if you listen in order like you're supposed to, I'm the first verified David Brodie that pops up. So yesterday I got hate hate and hate sent it me. People just's gonna smoke me. I'm a fake you know, Christian, and which I'm not. Um, you're about as fake a Christian as they come. Right, So so again I'm like talking about my politics. But he wrote a book with and about Donald Trump. So I got this is my favorite one because it had an emoji in it and it said how much did Trump pay you for that bullshit? Spin? Trump is about his religious as dog poop and they put a poop emoji and um bs and all kinds of ship and so I was like, okay, when where did the other David Brodie? Where was you on television? What did he do? And so anyway, so again I just remind you, whoever you're tweeting celebrity friend, just make sure it's the right person, because when you tweet that the wrong person, then people see you. Because they tweeted at me and the host of Fairness the TV show, and then it became like people saw the tweet and then they just saw the blue check mark and they assumed right, it was yeah, you may hate of other reasons, but not I'm not that guy. It is nice to bad day yesterday because he had a lot of tweets right at him. It is nice, though, to to see someone tweet you and and have it be negative and then realize it's not about you, because that's a relief, Like you shuck you pieces. I'm like, oh, don't like the podcast? Bone tap was, Oh it's not me. But I took a picture of the trending column on Twitter and I posted it because it looked like I'm taking credit. Yeah. Every time I see something like that happened, I'm like, what did this person do? What did they do? So when I saw your name trending, I'm like, oh no, and I'm not. I didn't die. I'm not in the sex scandal of any kind, not yet. Who's got that kind of time or strength. It's exhausting A camera up? No, no, all right, I gotta go kiss. Can I tell you? We just recorded an Acquired Taste. We just cried for thirty minutes. That's all we did during the podcast. Basically, this was us because we don't know what the future of the podcast is and we just met so many amazing list nerves and so all we did is cry. Okay, you you potentially could have recorded your last podcast. We're gonna prerecord a few. We're gonna record something, so there will be more to come out. Here's my suggestion, because I was pre law back in the day, I was going to be a lawyer. Imagine what you've been listening to as a lawyer. Um. Stephen Colbert did a brilliant thing. When Stephen Colbert was on The Colbert Rapport on Comedy Central, he played a fake Republican UH news host. He was like a Bill O'Reilly parody and he had slick hair and he was he made jokes about Republicans tongue in cheek like he was. Probably it was very funny. Regardless, when he went to CBS to do Late Show with Stephen Colbert, they said Comedy Central said, we owned that character. You can't do that character. And so what he did was during the presidential election, he introduced a new character, Stephen Colbert's identical twin cousin, the guy that had that other show. So he's got the slick back here and he's talked himself on split screen and he says, so you're not the guy from that other show. Oh you mean my, my, my identical twin cousin. Nope, that guy's not a lot on here, he's an idiot. Uh, this is my first time on television. I'm very nervous. And so they created his identical twin cousin, Stephen because his brother wouldn't have the same name, and so you should probably get your equally funny, identically sounding twin cousin, Bethany to call in on the podcast. Yeah, Bethany with an E, you know, right, because the sisters who had you, they wanted it spelled differently, right, right, so we weren't confused. Right. Although I'm although, I'm going although I'm going to miss you possibly on the Acquired Taste podcast. I look forward to hearing your identical twin cousin, Bethany. Yes, and she's lovely, lovely, very similar sense of humor. We sound just like, yeah, it is, it is, it is. It is tough. It's like when I worked at Starbucks, I invented a drink, but it's not my drinking belongs to Starbucks because if, of course you worked there, So it's there's it's I mean, it's it's, it's it's understandable. I worked at Old Navy back in the day, and we had a coffee bar at six and eighteenth to Manhattan. It was the biggest story in the company when I worked there in Chelsea and we opened up a cafe. It was in the early nineties. It was the height I had left Starbucks. They hired me that they stole me away, you know, like, we want you to start the coffee division for us. We want to have cafes and all of our Old Navies. This was when coffee was like everyone has to have a coffee shop. And so I was showing off to the boss. I said, you know, since Old Navy is owned by Gap, Inc. Which owns been a Republican Gap and Baby Gap, why don't we call the cappuccino a gappuccino and and and and instead of saying you know what, you get a raise. He said, huh interesting, And then he said came the next day and he said, just so you know, um, I copyrighted the name, so if the company wants that, they have to pay me. And I said, yeah, but I came up with the name. It was yeah, but I copyright. And that man is now an iron chef on the Food Network. I will not mention his name. It rhymes with Blazarian. Yeah, And so yeah, you've got to be careful what your ideas before you say I'm trademark copyright nail him to yourself. Yeah, all those people going on Shark Tank, let me tell you they all have copyright copyrights. Otherwise, here about this. You hear about this all the time. I mean, like I've been in the process of selling, you know, pitching a couple of shows, trying to sell a couple of shows. You should have your sister on as an actress if you're going to direct them. She's brilliant, cousin, your cousin, um. But there's always that fear of I'm pitching you an idea. You might not take it, but there might be an idea that looks a lot like it that shows up at another time. Legally, I can't tell you the name of the show or my cousin's name. What my cousin pitched a show to a network they said yeah. Then another network the show, and I took some of the things and reworked it and they paid him for it. The original show that he pitched they said no to. They owned a major show, and that major show took all of the ideas he pitched that weren't used and aired them and played them and they went global and it took him five almost five years to win that situation. He want a decent amount of money, but people will steal your ship people, Right, So if you're smart enough to put it on paper right to the government, get get all those sealed sign field and delivered in signatures, you actually could come out on top of somebody and it won't matter in a court of law. If they invented you know, the twentieth century Fox logo, Well, that logo was around since the forties, right, no one thought the trademarket. They just put it out there. Well about ten years ago and you can look this up on what year it was. Somebody realized that that that figure of the spotlights and they wasn't trademark, so they trademarked it and then sold it back to twentieth century Fox for a fortune. Oh that's brilliant, that's brilliant. That's like whoever when the Internet was first starting and people bought like pizza dot com, porn dot com, beds dot com, like brilliant. People, By the way, porn dot com and beds dot com probably go to the similar place. Yeah redirects, Yeah, redirects to my super rich cousin who looks just like me and sounds just like yeah, although I hope she has less of an attitude. Thank you so much for every guy, And and please say hi to Betheny Watson. Yeah, I haven't seen since you know the thing? Yeah that one time. Yeah, he liked you a lot. She did. She was more of a hugger than you, which is strange because you're a hugger. I'm a hug She was like, yeah, she was a curse. I let her know that if she joins the Acquired Taste podcast will promote it. Thank you. There you go, But we're not going to reference that you guys are cousins because you don't want to be like, oh, there's Jim's brother. You don't just want to be Steve your own person, right, You want to be your own person, right, So you know, we'll just refer to her Bethany. Should we get into some unused jokes? Now, why don't we do We're not don't know, why don't we do email? Okay? And then I want to talk about my car radio. Oh you know what, hold on, we did the funny Bone. I had a bunch of things to pick on you about I feel like we're already out of time. Hold on, this is my stack of things to pick on you about. That's okay. Speaking of next episode, we're gonna get to how the Alexa screwed me and screwed the Brooklyn Boys podcast over. We're gonna get to the dry Cleaners rant that people are like, hey, you mentioned the dry cleaners ran three weeks ago. You didn't get to it. We're gonna get to that. Can I just talk about two more girls that were at the Acquired Taste podcast? Okay, so everyone's introducing themselves, and everyone was almost everyone was a listener of the podcast, but a couple of people were like, oh, my friend dragged me. I dragged my friend. This is the first time I made a listen in the cars the new listener. So I meet these two girls, very nice girls, and one of them was more talkative. She says, my name is Jen, and I said, what's your name? My name is Bryn Jen and Brynn. I said, oh, you guys have like both one initial where's your where's your friend? Um? I forget what the other and it was Jen and brand and whatever one anyway, so I said, uh, I said, are you guys from and so one of them says, Gent says, I'm gonna listen to you all the time. I'm a big fan, listen all the time. I love you guys. I love the Brooklyn Boys. Fantastic. So I said, oh h, So Brent says, I said, were you guys from the I think they were from Pennsylvania, right, Oh, thanks for making the trip. So Brent says to me, as a host of the Brooklyn Boys, Oh, where are you from? So I said, And now her friend looks at and goes, oh no. And I said, you know what, Brin, you asked me the only question, the only question that tells me you don't listen to the podcast. I'm on the Brooklyn Boys podcast. Where am I from? Is in the title. She's like, no, I've heard, No, you haven't. First of all, my accent gives it away. Second of all, if the accident was called if this podcast was called people who Live in Alaska you know podcast, she would be like, oh, were you guys from? Like that's how blatant it was. This is like the time Greg t asked if Saturday Night Live? Yeah, he said, what night did they tape Saturn problem? What night did they tape it. First of all, it's not taped, it's live. Secondly, it's on fucking Saturday night. Can I talk to you guys about one thing and then you gotta go? Yes, I am going after this. I have no I have to tell you a funny story now that the lovely Bethany Watson is left. Okay, you know, obviously recently we all found out that Bethany was leaving the show. And part of that being a salesperson is anyone that is tied to Bethany you have to let them know because clients, Yeah, we had no heads up on what was going to happen and not. So we called a client yesterday to tell them that miss Bethany would be leaving and give them an update and just give them a heads up. So and feel uncomfortable. We missed fild the cell phone of the client. Okay. So there's a manager, myself, my co seller on the account sitting there. We're kind of a little bit nervous. We don't know how they're going to react to kind of springing on them that company's leaving. And plus we're upset that Bethany's leaving, very emotional and here is the outgoing message from this man, Hello, she poops again. We all looked at one another and I go, did that guy just say she poops again? Did you have the number? We we tried because it was one digit off of the client. You couldn't we we we tried every machination to do. But now we redial and we get the client. We can't talk to the client because we're laughing so hard with tears. Because this guy's name was she poops again. I mean that is brutal. Imagine being born. So it wasn't a guy saying like he wasn't like a PERV like poop. His name was like Jim schapoops Agan. He was stating his name and he said in a very low tone, just like this again. Now it was his first name involved and you're protecting him. He said, hello pops again. So so I'm assuming his first name was she and his last name was poops again. He didn't say, Hi, this is she poops again. I can't keep to the phone Hello, And he had a great brilliant pause for effect. He said, Okay, what if that's like like, what if that's a terrorist code number to call? And shapoops again? Means let's roll. That could be like, you know, first of all, the guy wouldn't have let's roll on his outgoing, right, he'd have somebody and saying hey ahead. No, it means like hey, every day, check in, call the number. And I don't think it was that illicit, but it was just absolutely hysterical. That's great that this guy's name was that you can't use beth In. Yeah, well, I was gonna say, what what client? Who's going to get the endorsement? Is it a kind of thing like a sports guy like me, like a knowledgeable none of the world's interesting because in the past since the announcement came out, I've been offered multiple lunches, drinks. There's been a lot of posturing. You want to slice a pizza from stakes from this pizza place, So I don't want the Stacy's bad pizza. Stacy. Listen, listen. It wasn't a commercial, but how well it's I lose sallies. I'd eat it cold. So listen, you heard how I talked about a product. Isn't even my client? Yeah, so imagine if it was my client. So Pete, what client was this? And what who's getting this? And he's one outs yesterday. It's it's if you can't talk about you can't because in a makeup product that we can say who the client is because is it? Is it a car? But I will say that who Electronics scary has of course taken that position. Mentioned the product? Have you? Don't you dare? I didn't mention the product. Do not mention it. I don't think that's fair, Okay, I don't think it's fair. I mean it's also not fair to just give it him as you have a guy who sells everything on the planet, and I'm looking to sell one thing that I believe in. People can go you know what brought us to sell a lot of things? Like Dr Oz says, I don't put my name on things, yeah, because it cheapens the brand. I put my name on nothing. I'm waiting for one thing to put my name on. Pitch, what's the value of that? I thought you should have been the musa next booger. That was my opinion. That's good, good looking. Appreciate that product is now that you mentioned it, and I gotta say, Brody, you would have no interest in it. And you know, Pete, I used these products us. That's one thing about I heart. Were very very good at pairing up the proper and scary defense. He has a lot of clients, but he uses the products and believes in them, and he's passionate about it. I get it. There's not one thing I've ever heard him do a commercial for that he doesn't own love and I know that he uses. Except for the time they made me the Pampers hug. That diaper commercial. That was I was. You didn't say you use them, You just said you were filling in. He was filling in the diapers. Was supposed to be doing that. He couldn't do it. I did it. And that was the one time, the true story. Greg t was supposed to do it, but he kept wearing them instead of putting them on his kids. They said that was a stretch. That was a stretch for me doing the diaper endorsement. I don't have kids. Don't have kids. All right, Hey, I've taken up enough for your time. You guys, keep on going. What's this about an hour and a half podcast? Yeah, this is this coming up. Don't sponsor this thing. Find a good pizza place, second commercial, get out to sell all right, So before I forget I just want to say. My mom was on last week's last episode. Seven people come up to me at the at the party, going, oh my god, your mom should going all the time. I called my mom that night after we posted it, and I said, I said, hey, mom, uh, people loved you. I showed us some of the tweets. She says, great, next time, you want me talk to my agent. Yeah. She wants to get an agent now, so she's smart. Yeah. Um, I have these Valentine's Day songs I think we should play on our way out of here, all right, so I have I have to. I have one is a parody of a You two song that I wrote, which this is like unused jokes instead of unused jokes, used unused parodies. This was a youtuo song about how expensive Valentine's Day is. There right after that is a collide uh Valentine's Day song collide play both boom boom, This is about how expensive and then we'll get out of you. So peace out. Well, hold on a second, hold on, let's tea because we have I had two more things, and you have a couple of things that we're gonna tease for next time. Okay, revolving doors. Oh my god. And I've got to talk about my you connect problem, which is my car radio. It's better we wait, even though people see me on Twitter ranting about it. And I got problems right here in River City with Continental Breakfast. Don't get me started on continent. I'm with you on this one. You will get no argument from me. I have traveled the world, so you're gonna be arguing with me on this. Yeah, this is no no Continental Breakfast. All right, all right, we gotta get out of here. It's Valentine's Day to play some of my work, so I have to go up. I have to buy a present, Yeah, a present, a better camera for the swimsuit. Bullosa, take care everybody. Price should not be allowed to No tables left in this town. You're out of the just one reason that you have to care. It's holiday sucks. It's just a holl micro fan. Should hang out with your friends. That's a cheap because you won't place, but know your partner demands a romantic place. It's vale that day, dinner you ate that day? How am I gonna pay? It's web Buary fourteen. We should go somewhere good. I cannot give you everything. You know, I wish I could. I'm so broke at the moment everything's explain said, Yeah, I'm just so freaking broke. I stole this her she kiss about the time's day. I'm I'm freaking broke. Big bump By Walt's a joke. So honey, I've got you some smokes, no roses or chocolate. Ya ya that I let's eat at Burger Key
