Speaker 1: Hey, this is Mike Shinoda and you're cooking Raw with the Brooklyn Boys with Brody and Scary love Mida love him, Mike Shinoda. Plus that was a little something I wrote for him. It's a reference to uh one of the songs one of the members of Lincoln Pokin Raw with the cook and Raw with the Brooklyn Boys. That's us. Yeah, and we have vacation coming up pretty soon. We do. We have two week vacation coming up. Where are you going. I'm going to the Western Caribbean out of Miami and I'm going to Alaska out of Seattle. And uh, the scent bird stuff that we have, which that's all you. I took it to Puerto Rico. Yeah, I put some on when I came home and my wife said, oh, I really like that, and uh, she's like, you're gonna bring that on the cruise. So I'm like why, She's just so that, you know, because you could, it's gonna smell like the ocean every day. We're gonna be locked in a cabin every day. You should smell nice. You should. You really should, though, So I would obey my wife's orders if I were you. Well, thanks to send bird. I can afford to do that and smell differently every day of the cruise. Sin Bird is a great concept. If you go to scent bird dot com you'll know what we're talking about. You get these sprays, but we like variety, so you don't want to use the same thing every day. So that's the solution right there with sent bird, where you're not gonna have all this left over three four ounces sitting in your medicine cabinet or wherever you keep your cologne and perfume for five six years collecting dust. You choose from four hundred and fifty different designers, were du Gabana, Gucci product just to name a few. But you get him in a little cylinder with a little bag or bag right, you get a hundred and twenty sprays which should last the average person at least a month. Right as you put a couple on, it is right there. What was that sound again? Just like that? Go to Center dot com. But we have something special for our Brooklyn Boys. Slices. We got a better deal. Vigits this slashing rates on the website. But get this, that was slicing as opposed to the right. You get on your if you go to cent bird dot com slash Brooklyn, Brooklyn. Okay, do you get fifty percent off your first month? Seven seven dollars and fifty says that is a much more aggressive deal than the slashed price on the website. To smell good, Tell everyone you know to go to s C E N T b I r d dot com Brooklyn for fifty pc off your first month and you get all the designer stuff right there, and you're gonna sign on and smell amazing. Start up, start up, Brooklyn Boys, start up, Brooklyn Boys Data they making noise data dot up episode the Brooklyn Boys Podcast. Can I tell you something? Yeah? So you know that you always giggle uh at the number sixty nine always? You set the tem picture in the studio to sixty nine again right now, I'm setting the mood for us. So I had I had a sixty nine moment this weekend. No, hey, hey, that's not. First of all, that's not that's not necessarily what's it's the same, Okay, sound it's gonna get worse because I had a sixty nine moment with my daughter in the car. I have to this real quick, al right. So I'm on the parkway driving one of my daughters to her job, and I see on the side of the road a police officer with his door open, and he's holding his speed gun. He's got his one leg out of the car and he's holding the speed gun like he's gonna shoot somebody with the speed gun, and he's pointing it at the traffic. So I went by, and I was going, I guess a little faster than the speed limit, but I was going the same speed as everybody else. And so I quickly looked down at my spinometer to see how fast I was going. And I looked down and I and I saw I was going sixty nine miles an hour. So I chuckled, not so obviously that my daughter would ask me what I was chuckling about, because I'm not gonna explain that old enough to know but to have the conversation with your father. So then I thought, this is great that I did chuckle like a twelve year old, because if I got pulled over by that police officer, what's the first thing to ask you, do you're how fast you were going? And I would say, yes, I know how fast I was going. I was going sixty nine miles an hour. Because I remember chuckling officer, and I hopefully won't have to explain him why I was chuckling. But that's a great speed to go, because then you could say, I know I was going sixty How did that get you out of a ticket? Because because because I'll know if he says you were doing seventy three in a sixty five, I go, Nope, I was doing sixty nine. Unless he's still has the inner twelve year old boy in him, in which case he'd let laugh and let you off. Unless he has the inner twelve year old boy in him, in which case, oh my god, what you hold on? I'm gonna turn your mic here alright. So, by the way, already in the studio with us the twenty somethings doing nothing podcast with Jake and Ricky's not doing anything. Well, yeah, so that's not why I called you guys. So I called you guys in for two reasons. Can I le's go a question first? Jake, is my mic on this time? Yeah? This time? Yeah? That was a lot of editing. Fix that. So there's there's three reasons I have you in here. One, I need your opinion on a on a debate. I'm having with my daughter. Okay, well you'll say too. When I asked Jake's opinion, he flipped it on me and then pointed out to me that, well, I shouldn't be shopping somewhere. That's a problem, like he told me that. He told me, yeah, yeah, Jake. So this is the same Jake, by the way he told me, I'm too olver chocolate milk. Jast judgment, he's judgment. And then three we had some big news concerning Ricky, So I want to start with that. Okay, So Ricky Sanchez, former intern of our show, who I've I've helped get seven or eight jobs in this company, three, four or five whatever it is. We also have not talked about this on our podcast yet. Just well his thing, So you go post Joe first. We'll just doesn't matter when you record him. It's time, is it okay that we blow this right now? I'll tell you what. I'll tell what. We won't say where you're going. But if you want to find out what what what the Ricky's new gig is, you can listen to Something is Doing Nothing podcast episode number right. She's going to be leaving us to go to Los Angeles, and that's all. I we'll tell you. But this comes to part where Brodie, I thought you just said you weren't going to say where she's going. Yeah. Stop, you can't help it, I know, but you know I didn't say the Mike Show. Shut up, Brodie has a way, no career. No no, I'm pointing out that I have been a fan of Ricky's for a long time. Brody also announced it to an entire sixty people in a meeting long before Ricky ever could have all the press release. How did this happen? How did Brodie get to break your new is the thing? So I always, I actually genuinely always called Brodie my radio dad because he's always met But I always think because like you always defend me, you always give me advice. Okay, blew it for you. No, look, okay, Ricky, Ricky technically works in another department in our company. Ricky would never be in that meeting, And so I wanted the people on the staff to know. But nobody knew but you at the time, and a handful of you're like a dog a strangers house and starting pissing all over the world. I wanted hold on. I wanted people to go and congratulate Ricky because everybody knows her and I got I was a little exuberant. I have to say, it's really excited. I was excited. Hold on, thank you. When I get where he's coming from, he's really excited for me. So you wanted to share it with everybody? And I also, I am the kind of person that I wouldn't tell anybody like I would probably post something about it, but I wouldn't go around to each person and telling everybody what exactly. Gonna have a chance to post it? Yet, I gotta be honest. I also told some people hoping they would make a last ditch offer to keep her with I did. I genuinely said to your Ritza, I'm pretty sure Rody did this because he doesn't want me to leave and was hopeful that somebody would have something for me. Yes, and our former phone producer Ritza, who moved out to l A, is thrilled about it because now she gets her buddy to come hang out with her. A. Brodie's playing backfired and they let Ricky walk out the door, and well the backfire, they just around like nobody's gonna stop me. I hold on, Yes, we had we had a big muckety muck meeting last night and one of the people who helps place people around the country that comes to me for people. I went to them last night and I said, let you know, Ricky got an offer. Really where And I said where and they went, oh, how long? And I said, I think about this long. And they said, oh, well, if that's the case, well no, well they said, well we'll have to reinvestigate that when that deal is over. So well, but my intention was for them to go, oh, no, we can't let that happen. But I said, I didn't know where in the process we were along. And the point is. The point is Ricky, who comes into us show every three or four episodes, is leaving the New York area and well, I'm sure popping occasionally. She's still gonna family here, but congratulations. Were very excited for you. This is a this is a particular show that has previously had three of our interns as co hosts over the years, and so they already made the joke to me. They're like, oh, in uh, three or four years, we may need to talk to you again. And I said, well, hopefully that will be at least that long. Sure, So if you want to intern for the morning show. It's wee or four years. I may have an opening for you in Los Angeles, but you still you still blew up up her spot for her. Okay, again, Ricky doesn't come to those meetings. But she hasn't even signed a contract yet. No, I just said had an offer was offered. I don't think you said that. He had a whole It was all a plan, though, so he wasn't gonna say no. He did say specifically, my plan was to get enough people to know that before she signed the contract. I see what you wanted to put it out a player, I wanted to put it out there. I was like, oh great, I'm happy for a fuck. I did just like that on the phone. But I did flat out. I could tell because I was on the phone with him when I told him what good news and bad news, because I because, now, wait a minute, why will we on the phone. We were on the phone because I had a job for in this company, not on the air, And she said, you know what, that's a great job. Let me get back to you. Back to me the next day and said so. When Brody announced it to seven seventy people in the meeting, he had his earpiece in and was being told by Ricky. I was just repeating everything as it was happening, as Ricky told me, like, oh, very happy, and then of course and then he's really happy. Big mucketing mock at this other company called me to check a reference. I'm like, oh no, no, she's Great's what does it feel like to make empty threats or threats to say I'm leaving, you want to stop me, want to stop me? And then you walk out the door and then nobody says anything. Well, that happened. That's what I was alluding to. That happened. So, um, someone we know in the radio industry, uh, in the Midwest was hosting a morning show for I don't know seven eight years, doing fairly well and uh and she said was she was a co host, So so she said, listen shows very successful. I have another offer. Uh. You know, I'm even I'm leaving because you haven't renegotiated my contract in like five years and I'm I'm leaving. And they said all right, and they says I'm gonna give you. They said, I'll give you until next Friday. I would like an offer. I'd love to stay and whatever and she was trying to call their bluff the whole time. This is her way of negotiation. And so like Tuesday, Wednesday, next week, she was like, so I'm just letting you know, Okay, that day's coming. She was on It's on the air and she's like, so they just letting you know Friday, even last day. And the boss didn't even show up the last day and say they had her. No, they did not. And they had someone from HR in the morning in the studio the whole morning to make sure they didn't say the wrong thing on the air, like the bad mouth or curse whatever work in the dump button, and then escorted them out to bye. They said, so they bluff called, and the call was bluff. Bluff was called. That move is way too risky unless you're really really confident. Well, that person did not have a backup plane. Didn't there was no other author She uh, she wasn't ready. She wasn't ready, I don't think for what was about to come. And it came, and now you gotta have a backup plane. Stop. Well, yeah, you should always have a backup plane. Now she's living in Miami on the beach. Well, it sounds like outside of Miami. Let's not it's not really near Miami. It's like forty minutes outside of It's like Sara, So it's not even a good's it's not a great area because they have no income. Now they bluff called and they're like, okay, that sucks. Yeah, you have a backup offer, right, you're good. Yeah, okay, I'm pretty confident alright. So so congratulations to Ricky. We'll we'll see what's going on with the p your podcast. At some point you'll announce what you're doing what or you could help me and I'll announce it. Not I'll just tell you. You go right in and Something's doing something. Now, you can't be on that podcast acause he's going to incentivise Jake now to do something for himself. He'd be like, you do less and make the podcast that something's really not doing ship. That's what's No, we're not changing anything as of right now the podcast called something Fine. Listen to episode seven of the podcast to find out all the details. Yes, the details that I have as of right now. And the good news is where you're going is not competition to our morning show exactly. So have a ball now you support it but not so much of a ball that you want to stay back. How stually the best of luck first short period of time. I expected that, all right, So here's my dilemma. It's a two part dilemma. The first part is an actual dilemma. The second part is jakeson Dick should we do the Jakes? The second part happens so often that I'm not surprise. We've talked about the second part on this podcast. Everyone thinks he's so nice, but he's really okay. So here's the thing. So I went into our green room here straight morning show. Yes, let's say Wednesday, Monday, and I said, hey, guys, it's like four people in the room, and I said Jake was one of them. I need your advice to this situation. What happened? I said, Well, I was at the mall with with one of my daughters and she was in one of the girls shops that she wanted to go into, I think Forever twenty one, and I was like, I gotta go. So I went across the hall. I'm telling this story because something happened in his other store, So I said, there was a big sale. I went across to Arab postal so Before I could say anything, Jake goes, what were you doing in there? He says, you went in there alone? Yeah, so I said, well he goes to shop. Yeah, Jake, He's like, yeah, you can't. You can't shop. Did you bring your chocolate in? Yeah? Can't you make? And then you made a forever fifty one joke, didn't you? No? No, he didn't. No, I'm a fifty one. Look, the point is so he uh, He says, I can't shop in Arab Postal. Now, look, I'm not going into Hollister and Arab Postal is not my first choice. But that they sell Bay six, they sell T shirts, totally shorts, they sell cargo shorts, by the way, which apparently I'm not supposed to wear, but they sell them. Cargo shorts are fine. That's why are you not against? Okay? Why frock? So before I tell you what the problem was, he derailed my store and tell me I can't go into airpos Doll, which, by the way, it's like you walk, I walk into Hot Topic where they sell all his thing with hot Hot Topic. Right, they sell heavy metal and hard rock shirts from bands that I listened to when I was your age. You don't have. But apparently I can't go in the hot topic according to Jake either because that's because that's for twenty year olds. You don't. But that's trying to justify yourself. If you went to arapas Tell with your daughter, I'd be like, I wouldn't have even thought twice about it. Yeah, okay, And but you went in and there alone. I see nothing wrong with When I look at Ara past Sell, it's all young women. That's that's not true women. The side of the stores for men, the right side and stories for women. See, maybe that's just because I've never been in there. Because so you are aging me. You were good, You're okay, Okay. So when this started, I was under the impression that I shouldn't go in there alone because I'm older than the average age of the person you feel shops there that But what you really meant was I'm a purse. Yes, you thought I was going to like Victoria's Secret. That's even worse. Yeah, No, I thought it's because you're too old to be in there, you know, But why do you feel like there's a lot of stores, there's there's no rules. I was just judging, Okay, So you so gradually going to arrow punk stuff in my clothes. I should shop in the story where about this? This This would be bad? Where did you buy that? Well? Is this I'm asking? Okay, it's a nice it's I had to go in, right, okay, So let me tell you the problem. So you're a dick. But that's okay, okay, all right. So they had had a sale like they always do right by that. This is no limits like by one get one. Now, we've talked about this. The bye one, get one half off thing. Sounds like you're getting fifty off. There's a big fifty percent off sign. But what it really is because you're really paying one and a half for two, which is that's not a real sale. You're fucking your people. We've talked about this lit. I want to get one, right, So sometimes they have buy one, get one free. They had buy one get too free. Nice, right, okay, which means you're paying more for the one. They're not giving you the one for ten bucks, right, you always pay the greater. My point was they weren't normally the average price of a T shirt there is not that much fifteen bucks. So I look at the shirt. It's a Brooklyn shirt. I like that Brooklyn Bridge on I'm like, oh, I like that shirt. I'm like, oh, buy one, get too free. If I get three five, that's like eight three cents each. That's pretty good for three shirts. When you do the math like that, that makes sense that irons out right done. Where's the problem. I'm like, okay, So I'm like, let me get two more shirts. So I look and there's a shirt that says um influencer. I'm like, oh, that's ironic. I'll get that shirt. And they don't know my size. They have extra smalls and small right. Yeah, I don't know fluence any but I do influence people with free dessert. But that's besides of what. So I thought that would be funny. But they didn't have that shirt. So all of the shirts were like New York shirts or all I say, all the aero Postal on them. I hate logoed shirts. You should be paying me to where you Why am I buying a Postal shirts so I can advertise? Aeropost gets me so angry. I'm like, no, I'm not. You can say, oh, look he's wearing his son's shirt. If you if you're gonna if I'm gonna have to wear a loud and proud logo on a fucking shirt. You better be paying me too. Better be Ben Sherman or something fruitful food that you're like, tiny little logo in the court, right, it shouldn't be the whole thing with a big a screw that up. So there's no shirts that I want, but I want the Brooklyn shirt. But I can't not get two free shirts. How did you? So? I text my daughter and I say, hey, I'm buying a shirt by buy one get too free. Come over, pick out whatever two shirts you want from the three tables. You can have it. You can have the two shirts. I'm sure you'll find something, right, Okay. So she's like yeah, she comes over, she's looking around. She picks up one shirt had no logo on it. I think, uh, like a shredded neck. She loved it, and she got a Pride shirt that whole Pride table. Okay, great, great, I'm like, oh fantastic, I get the shirts. I kind of noticed she doesn't say thank you or anything like it's all right whatever I'm bringing up later. Whatever. We were having a good day. I don't want to get into like a thing. It was a bad week, so I was like, not, you know, right in that pocket says that I love her to death anyway. So, uh, we get home and at some point she changed into her Pride shirt to say what looked Did she frock mock you? Nope, because it means it's a frock is for the name of her shirt, like a word for a shirt that she made fun of my shirts? No, that's just Jake anyway. By way, that's the name of Jake's dow podcast, Just shake a. We were working on names for his podcast though, like titles, so we're like, we said, uh, tough titties because his last name is tough, tough ship, tough stuff, tough talk, tough luck, tough luck because he's alone. For it's perfect twenty something doing himself, just sitting there anyway. So we get home. She's wearing the Pride shirt. Look great on her. My wife comes home, right, she came home late, and she sees the shirt. She was, oh my god, that shirt looks great on you, and she just thank you to my wife. So I go young until I bought a for you. She says, you didn't buy it for me? What are you talking about? Didn't buy it for you? You didn't buy it for me. It was free. You didn't want two shirts for you? Thank you? She said, you didn't pay for the shirt. She's grateful, little wretch. I said, you've got two thirds of my purchase. I got one shirt for dollars, you got two of them. I don't get a thank you. I gave up my shirts for you. Yeah, but you didn't pay for them. This is great. You didn't want them. You created a monster. This is your fault. I hope you know that. So I'm like, no, no, no, no, and my wife does so. My wife says, well, technically she's right. Now you know what I think. She owes you a steak dinner. The thing you still have a sta Here's the thing you're this would have never happened if you didn't walk into that store. If you would have been shopping an old navy, you would have found a shirt that fits you. Or if you would have been shopping you fit me. No one said the shirt you like. Why can't you get the job in l A and move out and keep hey. If you would have shopped the theory you would have gotten stops came dropping in. You would have been broke. You guys should have been here for the podcast. Last week's had a tie died shirt on. It looked like you could have made it at summer camp. He five dollars for a tie died shirt. Wow, scary it was on sale. You know what I could do with dollars? Yeah, drink on a boat. It was theory you're going to give up the boat and the lake when you moved to know that's like the saddest part to be honest in a Yeah, but that's not the same. So what's your opinion on this about Brodie's Did she owe him to thank you and give him the credit? Sounds very impressed by her, honestly, And I'm on her side because I think that's great because Brodie could have gotten two more things for himself for his daughter, because he's a Good's something there that he wanted. But she don't. You know what? I could have gotten any two shirts and then returned them at will when they had something I liked. True, but that's way too much work. Why would you even bother? I suppose I just guess you're right. I guess you're right. I don't know why I wouldn't think that you would go to that same But it's so much easier to just make your daughter happy. No, she had I know, No, I did make her happy. I got a two shirts. Yeah, so I was like, you know what, I'm gonna give her the two shirts. Hey, dad, thanks to giving me the two shirts, because I could have gotten two shirts and sold the money. Bay, I do get where she's coming from. Also, Andrew, to take a lesson from you, and you are assistant. Yes, that was assistant Andrew. So Andrew and I were in excuse me, Westell on the other day and he was buying pillows for his couch. That a store, yeah whatever, be caught in. Yeah, I'm too busy shopping at the kids stores. Looking up at start the theory of furniture restonation hardware. Yeah, it's restonation hardware. None of that furniture needs to be restored because it's all in good shape. It's all way too fucking expensive. It's like six thousand dollars for a couch. All right, if you shop there, I don't like you. I agree, because I can't like you can't be my friend. I'm sure you're a nice person. But who bull shops there? Who? Who? Do you know? What the boys besides Elvis, Like, have you ever met anyone that I met? One person, our old friend, bald freak RANI. He saw Barkard that he was like, he fell in love with He goes, I got to have this even though it's not vintage. It looks Vinta and it looks cool, it looks rock and roll, and he had to have it. He paid a sick amount of money, by the way, more than I paid for my Theory shirt. And he bought this freaking bar card. And I'll tell you it looks great. It looks great in this apartment. And I'm not even going to tell you on this podcast. Oh yeah, it's gonna make me cry. It's several weekends a year of probably and you know the neighborhood star. Uh. He was buying pillows for his couch. He gets three pillows. The deal the sale was off one item, so everything gets rung up. Is that the correct crap? Okay, everything gets rung up and they take off the cheapest item. So I was like, wait, why did you only get four dollars off? That doesn't make any sense. He's like, he's off one item. So we leave the store. I'm looking through seat. They took it off the twelve dollar item, and one of the other items that he bought was forty. So here's hold on, hold on, hold on. What I would have done is I would have gone back returned everything bought by itself. What you do is you get four three friends and you'll buy one item that I should have bought something, and then you could have bought something. So you didn't think they're only second level, you're the first level. You think from you you were there, you should have gotten both. All makes total sense for the buyer, But as someone who worked in retail, this is my worst freaking nightmare, first nightmare. But I got that I would have to separate things into four different purchases. You know that don't don't have fucking bone head policies. Make them. I'm not talking to you, has to deal with. I take this ship to the highest authority restoration Hardware, and I'm gonna hardware and complain about west Elm like what I called when I called yous and complain that it was FedEx wherever you were west down. Okay, I would get the manager out here. So look, you're gonna give me the cheapest item. I want you to reverse everything, and I'm gonna buy this, and he's gonna buy that, and we eat, get off and funk all y'all, and then oh then put a third purchase together. No, no way, they do not get to get away, right. But you did do it. You got off the one thing. You went back in right. No, no, of course not. We didn't realize until it was too late. You got to go back in with the receipt. Well, I mean it's not if Andrew wants to go back, I'll take the receipt that well, not what it's what's you can't figure out a fourth of forty four? I could do twenty quickly, But why can't you do a quarter off four and four? It's the easiest number than How do you You gotta picture forty four your head? Four divided by one by one, four to by by one, all right? Or four divided by four? Clearly? Well I went so I went to uh so I was an American Eagle and all the shop of American Eagle. I mean it is a younger store. So people tell me I'm not allowed to shop at American Eagles, So you definitely can't. That's fine, And you can't shop at Hollige wearing like all American. Do you remember the story Structure, which is what Express for Men used to because so they put out a calendar, right, So I think at that point in my life, I want to say, I was like thirty five. I think I was working for Express at the time. Uh No, I was thirty maybe, and I hadn't started in radio yet. And so I went into Structure with my wife to get a discount because I had gotten get off when I worked for the company. And they're like, oh, you get a free calendar with your purchase, like a holiday calendar. Oh fantastic. And on the back of the calendar it said, uh, Structure fashionable clothes for men in their twenties. Now, why would you put that on there? You're basically saying anyone outside of your twenties, don't fucking shop here. Why would like what kind of marketing strategy is that it would know? You wanna be cool? You want, but you also want the thirty year olds want to be cool to dress. Probably they probably think that. Then the thirty year olds look at it and they're like, oh, twenty year olds are wearing it when they do. Guys, they also fat shame you when you don't even know it by saying, oh, this extra large is actually a small. So they don't want people people in their c a fit model. That's the fit models they have. They're always a size smaller than they say they are. Most they do this now, it's slim fits, skinny fit. That's it. That pretty much says fat people, where's that fit? Where's that fe I just got size for a bridesmaids dress and it's like five sizes bigger than what my actual sizes because they make the sizes legitimately make you feel like shit, so you walk out of the store hanging your head and shape. But they don't have large. But some clothing stores make the sizes more room me so you feel better about yourself wearing your clothes. Well, those are the thoughtful brands. Well okay, like like Thievery or what's that? Okay, so let real quick. So you're talking about like what I would do to get a sale. When I went into American Eagle, they didn't have the shorts in one of the pairs in my size, and the line was really long and online it was twenty pc off you purchase, so I went on the website. The shorts were on sale online and they weren't on sale in the store. Plus it was off the shopping online, so it was also buy one, get one free, so it was like crazy enough to buy them online. So I go home and buy. I go to buy online. Is eight different colors of shorts. Three of them they had in my size. Five they did not, so three doesn't get me the bogo. So I called. I called. I called. By the way, bogo means by one, get one for those, okay, right, So I call American Eagle and I say, listen, you gotta hook me up here. I need the third pair at off because I can't get the bogo. There's no fourth pair. Just let me look, and she goes, yeah, that all the other five colors is hold out the blue, the gray, old cool colors. I'm left with uh tan, dark tan, and salt. So it looks like right, so it's like the light gray, it's the khaki and the dark khaki. I'm like, I want the dark gray, the blue, the light blue, the good colors. So I said, you gotta give me the third pair off. So she's just, oh, we can't do that. I go, you have to. I can't. She's just so I said, I'll tell you what I've been doing. Now, I'm gonna have to buy a fourth pair Rando, whatever size, and now take that return in the store so I can get my fourth pair at the bogo price. That's what I'm forced to do because I wasn't gonna pay full price for the third one. Would you pay the full price for the third one where you can get the bog on the on the fullip No, I'd probably only buy two at that point. Okay, well you're cheaper than well, you're cheap at least. There you go. So that that's that's all. That's that's my so Ricky to finally Jake, But but I deserved to get a thank you for my daughter. But I shouldn't have been the store in the first place. And Ricky says, kudos to your daughter for brody me. Yes, he is a brody. Techniqually he's a brody. Okay, bottom line, congratulations. Listen to Somebody's Doing Nothing episode one thirty seven to find out how Ricky's crushing our dreams. You know, he's not having any of these problems scary because he doesn't care if it's on sale. Because his shirt's ninety seven million. You know about the post. I say, Yolo cash, don't give a ship. He's a b oop by one over pay spend money as as I make it, make money, money and money. So you guys, you guys split. We want to talk about the corporate party when too. Alright, this is the one year anniversary of the corporate party. Last year, were you a Brooklyn industrial and we'll talk about that right after this. Well, I mean to tell you this, Brodie. I was at the sushi with my girlfriend the other night and I looked at the table next to me. We're gonna talk about the party though, right, oh yeah, we're ready teased it. People get mad at me when I teach stuff I don't do it. Well, that's our entire podcast. I know. We're talking to the party that's next on deck, all right, next to the on deck circle. Fine speaking on deck, which rhymes a musin X. I gotta do the music next story at some point, because I let's do it. I want. I want to go with sushi and then we'll talk about this. It's a random thought. It's nothing SUSI did the last segment Sushi Party. It's really quickly. Did you notice that people bite into sushi rather than eat the whole piece. The woman next to us was biting into it half half. You can't do that with sushi. The whole point of sushi is to get the entire flavor in your mouth at once. That's what the Japanese intended when they made the susi. Yeah, because it makes your sushi ro If you have a piece of sushi roll with avocado, I know you hate this stuff scallions, tuna, and salmon, and you only bite into half. You only get half to flay her, okay, But if you buy it straight down, you get all the flavor. No, you don't. What you do if you stacked No, a role is like a hockey puck. Yes, but if you lay it flat and bite it, no. But if you if you put it like around, like a tire, it's like that. Nobody You don't. You don't bite a piece of sushi? What? What? What about? What? What? What? What about your sushi roll? What about it? Like a piece of fish on top of a rice? How I'm talking about roll? It's the actual roll, the round thing. But if I cut it in half and eat it right, that's still all ingredients on like a pizza. Yeah, lay it down like a hockey puck. Cut in half. What's difference. But you're talking about eating it long way. It's a circle. You're getting all the ingredients. You're not getting all the ingredients not if you buy into half. I just think that that's a terrible etiquette. We'll talk about that in another part, etiquette. Let's just talk the etiquette. And I say that because we also had sushi yesterday. We did the party that did that. It was my lead into that. But I noticed this this observation when I was out having sushi last weekend with my girlfriend. That's all I'm saying. I just don't know. I'm telling you it's bad at a kid, that's fine. I just to change the world. But it's my opinion to say it because guess what, I have a podcast with my name on. Dude, I have to set our name on it, our name whatever. But I have to say you you deserve the Medal of Freedom for this we sticking your neck out and standing up for the rights of the sushi people. Wow, what that's a that is uh talking about social justice warrior. So when you said we have to talk about the party. I remember we had sushi last night and I wanted to just talk what happened last week? You go off on tangents. I wouldn't do that, but you never go off on a speaking of bicycles. Oh ship the door like the Jersey kids, don't even record it. Stop the recording. Get out, don't stop the recording. What's broken? Boys? And get out? What are we talking about today? We got show prep? No wet some email, some pizza email. I don't have much time. I gotta go. We don't have much time. Get out? You know you love me. How many snickers can you eat during the podcast? That's a bit we could do with the jersey that you could do and fetch Hams that doesn't exist anymore. How many bottles of water can you drink during the podcast? Can you hold your your bladder? You're you do that on the Dad podcast? You're working on? There's no Dad podcast. I was interviewed for the Dad podcast. But dude, you see Brody, look, I can work alongside of you. I don't really have to do. I'm just gonna come, I hang out, chill. You know, any endorsement will get We have to split three ways? What do you mean share the wealth scary? Don't you think that it's time to change it up? Give the Brooklyn Boys a little bit of a flair, right? I would say yes, except there are listeners who emailed us at the Brooklyn Boys podcast at jail dot com that said they do not want to ever hear from the Jersey Kid. What does what does g E d oh w T spell g E d D that's O w T get get oh get out and then get get out, get out, get out? All right, Jersey Kid, I'm out, Brooklyn Boys, enjoy. I think it's gonna be great to have our new signage picture of you guys, get the Brooklyn Boys and then I like to stick them ahead in the middle and the Jersey Kid kids. I mean it sounds funny, it does, but the listeners are not. Last It's starting to warm up the scary thing to it. I think, so Brody, I know you need from Michael. Here's I'm quoting this and you could see this in black and white on my phone from Rebkowski. Do we get something? I want some theme music? Maybe you know like her comes the jerseys Kid Yo yo email body, but ps fun the Jersey Kids. I didn't for two seconds and wanted to do the thirty skip. You know what the thirty skip is really? Bite me, bro, bite me? Yeah, the thirty second skips when people hit a forward thirty because they heard you. Yeah good, I'm gonna hit skip thirty on YouTube. Bro, We're jotsky. Whatever your I just don't have a great idea for a jingle. Dude. Is he a true pole? Whatever? Bro? Bring it? Bring about you, bro about you? Bro, Dude, it's the Brooklyn Boys and the Jersey Kid, and I want some cool music like here he comes now the Jersey Kid. The music comes on. Boom boom boom boom boom boom. Come in all right, I gotta show all right, e serio. Honestly, I think I love you. I love you. Warm up. I think I think you know you and I have been boys, we've known each other. I know you wouldn't send me down the river. You wouldn't do a podcast. I would wait a second. The best, the best podcast that ever had was the off air show. That was the best. I'm gonna say something, okay, and I'm good. I'm gonna tell you this right now. If you look back on the speaking volumes, podcast Speaking Volumes page on Instagram. What is that? That's the old offair show page. It's called Speaking Volumes. It's not called Speaking Volumes. That's my other podcast I do with Cheryl. If you scrolled back a few pictures and videos, you're gonna see video proof of the day that I was begging you to stay with me on the office and you were on my couch and you quit the podcast live and the feed is still up there, so there's proof right there. Do you fucking walked on me? Let's let's see reacted now. Can we reenact that now? But he's how you walked out of a podcast, bro? Do you know why? Because I just didn't feel like it could go on just the two of us, Like what why do you want to jump in? And you also said on your fed Champ podcast, which lasted six episodes five, you said on episode one or two fucking Brooklyn Boys podcast, that's going nowhere? Yeah, you know, but that was just because I want people to listen. So you know, it's like the you know, you you're like Robin Hood, you know, you try steal from the rich, you know, give to the pool doesn't make any sense? Like yeah, speaking of Robin Hood, great client of ours, appliant, but I just think it's time every now and then you want to shake things up, you know, you want to add somebody. We look at the elvis in that part of my brain. I'm a little hurt that you abandoned it I did, and how what we had. And I gotta be honest. I think I think Scary is my partner, is enough so I need are he say something nice. I do apologize to Scary for breaking it up, but I just didn't think that two of us could really girlfriend girlfriend who wants me back all of a sudden, I want to be both of us. Yeah, he wants a three way, but I don't think it should be like like NonStop, like sitting, or it should be like you know, insert me now, then I come out in certainly now then I come out like yeah right. So yeah, And you could write up you can say here comes the dildo. I don't. I don't have to write it. I just said it. You know what we could have. Guildo's saying you're trying to shelf ram yourself up our ashes. Well you can make those two. I mean, you got all you can get everybody involved everybody wants to deal that. I will never forget. You know, they say, never forget, let me forget the day you walked out. I just didn't think you left me. You go back and listen to all episodes of the off air shows. You don't need to do it here, gonna go so good. We really were bro the offair show. We were so good. Really right, it was we came up with our backwards language we had. You did not come up with backward you know the podcast scatty Be had backward language. We integrated it. We had our whole thing. We had. We had Cocordsay, okay, you can't. We can't say we invented backward language. That's like saying we were the first to speak Spanish on a podcast. Listen, our show really was cutting edge for everybody. Now, why don't you do cutting out? Get out? I want to be a part of it, boys say what you can be a part of? This will be the inside. You're gonna be the outside? And what do I call it? Every Now? Now, what do I do? We're playing baseball on the days that I said, Hey, what field position do I get to play? And they say you could play left out? How are they say, you know what? Play home see. I think you guys are mad, you're you're you're here nine minutes too long? And this let me just tell you one thing. Many times have you hit to skip button? You play? You go back to the Alms Duran show. The way the show started, it was just like two people, and then it was time to build up to a third and then a fourth, and now it is where it is today with like ten people. I just wrote the second verse of your jingle? What is it? Yes, okay, he's gonna playing next time you come in here? Yes, I have I want. I want like like dance music, like the Jersey Kid. Here we come, don't don't don't Jersey. No, we gotta talk about that party last night. Yeah no, yeah no no not we shouldn't. I gotta go. I just wanted to do this, Scotty and you're recording next door and he just opened the door and just jumped in on. They have a new podcast called serial Killers with a C. They review cereals. We're gonna talk about how he's the raising brain kid. Where then do we work? I don't know. I apologize. So as we were getting we went to a food food party that we went to last year. Would you you were the versacey jacket and the smoking jacket jack where you told me, oh business casual or you have rock and roll chic or Brooklyn and dust industrial? So so this more so we would Pele were tweeting at me yesterday on my Instagram was I posted a picture on my personal Instagram me in the famous I Heart Radio headquarters. It was definitely Brooklyn in dustrially and people were asking, is that Brooklyn industrial roll so els for yourself? So we bring this up on off off the uh when we were off airing a commercial break, we were talking to picture, but we got text messages coming in going, what are you gonna wear scary Brooklyn industrial? So Elvis is the scary? What's Brooklyn industrial? So scaries? Explanation Elvis was, you know it's like it's like an industrial vibe from Brooklyn. That's a circular definition. You can't go industrial Brooklyn, explained When I did Brooklyn, my verse was hoping to the rocketbroll chic though steel from me yesterday was was it was sneakers. It was these nice sneakers that I had on black sneakers with with nice black jeans, dark jeans, but they looked a little like had a little sheen to them. So it was jeans and sneakers on the bottom Charlie sheen and on the top I had a shirt tucked in with a sport jacket that was a little aggressive. It was aggressive. By the way, if you look at the picture, you can't tell him the picture, but you took two pictures. One you're doing like a surfboard pose and one you're doing surfboard and one you're standing in the hallway right. What you can't tell because Gandhi took the picture at an angle, is you were leaning to the right and forward. You were leaning to one side and leaning forward like you was you were long jumping on skis so that your whole body and your head would slim your your appearance. Was that what I did? Yes, you lean to the right, you did. This is what you were doing. So you're trying to say I'm not slim in real life. Well, I don't know your second with second quarter skary. So you were doing this, you will. You were like bleaning like this like you were like you were jumping off a cliff to the right on your skis. I've never seen you do that before. I've seen you do the head lean, but you lean to the right and then lean forward. Okay, I'm sorry, mr. Chin up every picture that you take your stretching your neck like, absolutely not stretching my neck. Pure, Nope, nope. I explained this on the Why do you look? I told you that I had a broken nose and so it makes my nose look straight at that angle. Okay, you're trying to accomplish the same thing I am, except with you. No, no, I'm not making fun of you. I'm saying you can't tell him the picture you were leaning to the right. I'm asking you, is that a new pose? I might use it again? You look good in the picture. Thank you, Brodie. It wasn't an insult. You were attacking me like you're like Jake. Um A good time. We spoke to a lot of Perspective clients and luckily I was dressed appropriately for one of the clients fantastic as you said. You addressed like you a shirt tucked in right shirt and I told him I I hate tucking my shirts in, and Brodie's like, I never tucked my shirts in right. So we'll see if these people sign on. They have a solution for both of us. Well yeah, the guy was like, oh um, yeah, he said this perfect. You don't tuck your shirt in and I said never. I think people know what we're talking about. Well, it's a company that makes shirts that you uh you keep them on, talked perfect, yea if they'd like to sign on. So anyway, so, uh, their account executive, the person they're dealing with, came out with me today and said what size shirts and what colors would you like? He's gonna send us over some shirts. So I said, told him my size and I said blue and gray on my colors. That would be great. By the way, I ordered yellow and green field. Oh that's okay. Speaking of yellow and green, it's still muse next season. And yeah, and um, you like that segue? I did, but it were almost out of music next season. So I think you better get to this because you've been teasing this for a month and a half. You know. In fact, Engineer West from his podcast what's his podcast again? Tails over Cocktail, Tails over Cocktails? Yeah, he was like, dude, Brody keeps teasing teas and teasing and he's not pleasing please in places, so people gave me shi on Twitter. Okay, so what I explained to the people who tweeted me like where's the mus next story? What I said was I was gonna do it last episode, and then in turn staff told me I was wrong about the alright, well, and I'm gonna byaly have an update on the chips. I don't have an issue with musin X I have. I have yet another problem with with what happened at CVS. I have two CVS stories today that don't get on anymore. I would be like, fuck you guys have good prices, a membership called You've done me dirty a thousand times? All right, So I need a musin X. I had whatever virus, sinus infection, whatever it was you had. I think you gave it to me, by the way, So it's only available at the pharmacy counter, right, So I walk up to the little counter where it says pick up here. That's where you go because you have to go and ask for the muse and act. You can't get it at the in the aisle. So I go to the left register and there is the left register, right register. I go to the left register and this goofy guy named Ja comes over j A E. Which right away I knew, Pop, there's a problem. I don't trust people that spell their names weirdly. I don't. I know you didn't pick the name, but I feel like you're weird spelled names. You came from bad parents. I feel like those are parents that didn't care that you will never get a key chain with your name, honor a little license plate for your bicycles. Didn't take ahead. So J comes over. He comes up and says, can I help you right at the left register. Then he realizes he's on the wrong register. He walks over to the right register, his his left, my right and says, can I help you over here? So I said, well, you you were just here. I have now put the other things I'm buying on the counter right because he was there, He is, oh, can I help you over here? I'm like, well, dude, you could have picked up the items and moved him. You and I gotta pick him up. Ah, I fine, So I picked him up. I put him over to the right register, okay, and I started walking the two ft over to the right register. He says, I'll help you over here. Um and uh. He says it again. But at that point. I'm already walking, right, it's a it's like two ft as I'm walking. He goes, I'll help you over here. Yeah, that's why. I just picked up my stuff and I'm walking. So it's like he's programmed to say that. So he looks down, doesn't ask me what I need. He starts typing on his screen and he says last name. And I said, you don't need my last name. I need your last name. He goes, I need your last name for your prescription? What prescription you're picking up? Uh, you don't need my last name. I'm not picking up a prescription. Did you call an a prescription or you're dropping off a prescription? So I said, stop saying prescription. Well, this is debscription counter. I said, no, it's the counter where I can ask other things. Here's what I'd like you to do, Jay, how about instead of asking me my last name, we're trying to guess why I'm here? I said, how about you just say hi, how are you? How can I help you? And then I will gladly tell you what I need. But we have spent thirty forty seconds. Now, were you asking me for my last name which you don't need? I just want to ask my question because I but I need your name for prebscription. Again, J, I don't need a prescription. Oh, well, then you need to go to the front register for what for whatever it is you want to buy? I want to get a pharmacy item. Oh okay, what's your last name? You don't need my last name? Well, I can't put it an assistant for a prescription. I don't need a prescription, Jay. How many times do I have to tell Jay? You know what if his parents named him j why, maybe he would have had a better life. We just took people's word for things. But he can't trust his own name. He doesn't want to trust me. Hey, Jay or ji E? Maybe your name is ji E or j I don't know. I don't need a prescription, So I go, I need musin X. Can I just have musin X? And I'm getting agitated because I have I have like a signus infection. I don't know feel well. If I said can I have musin X, he looks at me goes, oh, you want musin X? Yes? Please? He goes, Oh, you don't need a prescription for that. Yes, that's what I'm saying. No shit, chrlock. That's why I said you didn't need my last name. Oh that makes sense, That's what he says to me. You don't need a prescription for musin X. I mean, is it that hard to just say hi, can help you. It's so difficult. People are programmed to say the same thing. Could have you lest name, please talking to a robot? Just say hi? How are you? They get us? I already had a headache. That was the problem. People don't think, you know. They don't think when they stock their shelves either. I gotta say. One time I was suffering from badass back pain and I walked into a pharmacy and I was looking. I was looking for Doan's back pain relief, Dons Dons back pain relief, and they're like, oh, yeah, it's on the bottom shelf. The bottom shelf is two inches off the ground. Why are they making people with back pain bend over for back pain medications? It would be smarter of them. You should put the lube down there, right Those people are gonna be bending over later in the night. Obviously I wouldn't put the back I swear to God. The back pain medication was two inches off the floor. That's ridiculous. You should play the music for you on that. Why in America take back paid medication and put it on the fucking floor when people who can't bend down and need the medication are forced to bend down to get the medication and further into them sounds get at that point you get to pay my hospital bill. It's trying when I gotta get caught down of here, And it got a damn real chat because I fell over trying to get the goddamn back paid medication. Although you're more likely to buy the larger size because you're fucking back, hurts more than it didn't fall, which is why I need to use next, because by head hurt from arguing with the sky more than it did. But I went into the new sext yours fucking me with the back of extra large cot Richard, which is over the counter too, by the way, Yeah, you don't need a prescription for now. By the way, so's your cock at that point, completely over the town? Well, I meant dick cock doesn't sound That's all right, now we'll be back right there. All right. We haven't even done unused jokes. I have unused jokes, Okay, I don't want to tease anything, you know what I have to again, I teased my mom that she'd be on this episode, but she's not available today. We're recording this on a Wednesday. The scary wanted to move it up a day with a feather, That's what I'm doing plus plus uh. I told my mom to be ready on Thursday. So she's playing cards with the ladies today. She playing Canasta. No, yeah, he's playing bridge and Canasta and rummy. So she plays Mondays. But then every other Wednesday, every third Wednesday, there's like a woman, one of the women in the group will like have like need to go to the hospital. Well like doctor problems. I called my mom and they're like, can you fill in? We need a fourth So Wednesday's randomly she's got a fill in. Awful. I never thought of that that, you know, because you know what we do is, you know, something comes up. Okay, oh no, they play they play hospital Roulette. So it's like, oh, it's as this turn she's got going said the land something off. They have to cut something off, like a boil or something, you know what have a skin tag? Yeah, So like they go, oh, she'll be fine. She just sees she can't play this week. All right, Well, these were some punch lines that could have been they were, They were given on the show, the Big Show. They were ever used. So I throw them in a stack and we're gonna people you listen in order you know the story. We met a guy at the party last night. Huh is Adriana was anyway? I apologize, sir? Uh? He said, Oh my god, I'm a Slice for Life. I love you guys. I'm like, oh, it's great. What episode up to? He's I listened to eight seven? You heard them all? Well, I started with eight seventy six. I got twelve episodes. Because we need a reminder. I'm like, listen, order, you need to listen, order, you need to we shoot once in a while. We have to remind you because some people just stumble on a couple of episodes here, and we're just telling you to stopping down right now to let you know that this is your first episode. Welcome, Welcome, Thank you for listening. For the yelling. Go back to zero and start from there, because there's a lot of inside jokes you might not get along the way. And yeah, there was some joke. Yeah, so so if you can, then you spare time. I understand you want to hear the new episodes because we're tweeting about them. And but everything you gotta you can't go back. And he promised he would listen to zero on OI Home. All right, all right, so these are jokes we didn't get to this week. All right, I gotta read my own handwriting. So Gandhi on on the other straight Morning show, she was in a car with you, scary I think, and uh, someone threw a beer bottle out the window and it almost hit her car. She said it was a Heineken. Did you see the label in the green bottle? Go by? So she called the police and reported the guy, his license plate number and everything. And so Elvis says to her on the air, you know what good for you? You deserve a blue ribbon, So I wrote, he deserves a past blue ribbon, which I thought was brilliant. He didn't do the joke, bastard. Talking about Elvis's wedding again, Gandhi involved in the joke. Gandhi says, you know what I'm gonna I'm gonna go Indian style for the wedding. I'm gonna wear sorry, So I said, well, if she's going like an Indian, I'm going like a Jew. I'm wearing all stuff that's on sale. He didn't go to me. Uh Oh. A man called and said that his family is Because we're talking about stashing food and hiding food from your relatives and your friends and family. He said, my family steals my uncrustables and I said, oh, that's my joke. Was that's because they're just peanut butter and jealous. Wait, we didn't get to that. Uh. Then someone else called and said they hide their candy in their tampon box and I said, oh, must be your red vines. I was didn't do that show. Um oh. Somebody called and said, she, uh, she pretends she's pregnant and she hides candy bars in her bra and in her shirt. Uh. And she puts like a little pouch in her belly. That's where she hides her food. I said, oh, she tells people she's expecting a baby. She's actually expecting a baby. Ruth. We didn't get to that joke. We were talking about a live action Aladdin movie Disney and live action Dumbo and what's the other one live action line? King? I said, I'm waiting for live action cars. We didn't get to him. Greg t dressed up like a bumblebee this week to pollinate the flowers. I said, more like a dumblebee. He didn't get to it. Oh, I stole that and put it on the air. I know you did, but it's unused by by Elvis. You did the joke. Uh. Gwyneth Altro was talking to Jon Favreau, director of many movies and plays happy in most of the Marvel movies with Iron Man in it, and Gwyneth Paltrow did not remember being in Spider Man Homecoming. I said, well, that's because her brain is Goop. That's her makeup company. And know it's not a makeup company. You know. The hell I'm talking about. Elvis is having a wedding in September. As you know, it's a it's a he wants his all the dress very loud and fashionable festive and Nate said he might wear his sear sucker suit. So my joke was, it's a gay wedding, it's more like a sur sucker. I get to it. I love that one. This is my favorite joke of of the week that we didn't get to. I gave it to him three times and he gave me the look like I don't know where to go with that, and he didn't get it. Girl called up. We were talking about bad summer jobs. She said her job was to capture moths. Remember that, girl, I said, capturing moths that takes balls. Didn't get to it. Wolf balls, Come on, I'm with you on that one. That sounds like it's time welcome. You've got mail. You can always email us at the Brooklyn Boys Podcast at gmail dot com. And just a couple of them this week, and as soon as my phone stops ringing, I can read those from my phone because somebody's jumping in. This is from James Madden. Uh, come play with baseball with us in San Francisco. I'm a Brooklyn native living in San Francisco, born and raised in Coney Island in the eighties and nineties, but I'm here in San Francisco Bay area, and I enjoy your podcast. As a New Yorker living in California, it is crucial for me to hear Brooklyn voices, stories and attitudes as often as possible, otherwise I might go crazy out here. It would take many paragraphs to explain the cultural differences between the two parts of the country. Tree that that is one of the many reasons why I listen to you guys. Perhaps we can meet one day and we'll have a chance to chit chat all about it. By the way, he definitely lost his Brooklyn by talking about chit chatting. Um coming out to San Francisco. Play some baseball? Seriously, I play a pickup game of fast pitch, hardball, wooden bats and all every Sunday afternoon. We're a great group of guys. I recall Brody mentioning he plays ball and uh, scary plays softball. Right, Well, this guy's this would be perfect for you, guys. What do you say? Well, I hope you read this and respond let me know if you're interested. I think it would be a blast. First of all, how is a guy named Madden living in the San Francisco Bay area not playing football? John Madden's a legend. But James right, But James Madden has a point. If we ever make it to San Francisco, maybe we'll do a pickup game with him. I gotta say I prefer softball to hardball, like softball luminum bats. Brody, I don't know you like fast, hard fucking would no, no, no, nail, no no no. He's playing in that. He's playing hardball. Well, it depends how If they're throwing fifty miles an hour, I'll play he's fast pitch. It depends how fast throw. That's that's a challenge an amateur easually know the most direct with their target. You I like throwing a baseball better. I like hitting a baseball better, but playing it I don't know. Um. Also the shout out to Rafael Gonzalez, who says he has a bone to pick with me. Been a long time listener of the main show and the podcast. My boyfriend just started listening to both the main show and the podcast thanks to me. Somehow you follow him on Instagram but not me. What's up with that? Scary? I'm sorry, Rafael, We're gonna figure that out. And he says his pob He says, a picture of it and a t M with a sign over it. Face bomb. It says a t M machine, Like that's a permanent sign. Somebody actually had to approve that to get that done. Um, here's somebody saying, Oh, Jacob would like to explain the sign. The spray painted sign on the grass that said be careful retarded children and animals crossing. He said, the word retarded is very odd culturally, and it really shows the difference between the coasts and the Midwest. At least where I live here in Kansas, and I know Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Missouri as well. The word retarded is not treated as a bad, offensive or curse word like it is on the coasts. Instead, it is used synonymously as stupid or dipshit. So I'm assuming that sign is in one of the more centralized states because when then it would mean that the kids and animals are idiots and going to the street. Hope that clear stuff up. Okay, here's let's say to Jacob, I appreciate explanation, but that's like saying, well, in my stay, the N word is fine. It doesn't make it fine. Um in that context. That was the context state. Man. Here's the thing about still, I'm gonna try to be down the middle with the R word here. The R word used to mean that people were like a dipshit, like oh, you're well, it's okay. But then people who's who had special needs children were using that word because people would say it about their kids, which is terrible. And they didn't like that word being used because it made people think that when I if I called you that word, that I was saying you are like those special needs children's it was used in a derogatory right, and and more more importantly, it was the word retard that the defended people like as a noun rather than retarded, which is an adjective, right, and so retarded means slowed. If we talked about what the word actually used to mean, and so people and I've said, you're right, that word should not be in reference to your children, right, or any children. But then if we use it to insult each other. And I don't use the word calling someone, but if I say someone is is in an adjective retarded in their meaning, they're slower, stupid, you're insulting them. I'm not referencing your children, so you shouldn't either, right, But you're using it as calling them a name like a noun, as you were saying. If I'm saying your brain is stupid, I have nothing has nothing to do with your children, nothing nothing to do it. But again, I don't use that word because I don't need to. I have no time to explain that to anyone, and I don't want to offend anyone, but I I still I personally I don't use it. I would probably drop the word regardless of what state you live in. But because someone's gonna get offended, someone's gonna call us snowflakes. Now, yeah, well, I'm I don't know someone would. I don't use that word, but there are other words I do use that people will find offensive, but I'm not gonna list those because you'll someone will be offended by it. I did get a great tweet a d M rather from that underscirl what this person went to a lot of trouble that Underscore Tara Underscore Girl underscore, which means that Underscore Tara Underscore Girl was taken anyway, She says, I ordered a twenty five dollar item on Amazon and did one day shipping four to arrive the next day. It never came, and after six days they confirmed the item was lost in transit. Today they said whoops, were sorry and gave me a refund and only a five dollar credit, so I'm still going to have to reorder it. So I'm really only getting five dollars out of it, hardly free dessert. So I said, here's what you're going to do for me. You're you're going to refund me the twenty five dollars and put a twenty five dollar credit on my account so I can purchase the item again. They agreed and gave me the dollar credit as well as the refund. Hugh the Larry David music. The dollar credit only works on Amazon branded items like that's not where the Larry David music goes. But thank you for the suggestion. The point is she used my theory of some service and got um. I apologize because I screenshot at it and cut the word off. But why one Miami are stationed in Miami. By the way, update that signed that permanent sign for the Italian restaurant on City Island the bronx for at the crab Shanty or Lobster Shanty. Uh. The awning still says Italy Allen Food. You should. Uh. They tweeted out misspelled word of the month and it's on Northwest Miami Dade on a road. It says m R E g E spray painted and giant letters stenciled onto the road, which is I imagine was supposed to say merge but they spelled it mr Edge m R E rather than m R. By the way, update that signed that permanent sign for the Italian restaurant on City Island the bronx for at the crab Shanty or Lobster Shanty. Uh. The awning still says Italy Allen Food.
