Speaker 1: Start uf dot up, Start Up, Brooklyn Boy, start up, Brooklyn Boys, start data They're making noise Data up Episode eighty four. Yes, it's the Brooklyn Boy. He's podcast is scary? Is that your new thing? Now? To do that? That that yell? It was the first time I've ever done it. Yeah, that's why I said new thing. That's why it's new. Yeah, why do you want to do that every week? No? I think you would switch it up a little bit. No, there's a couple of there's a couple of people that do that in radio. And this one guy I follow, I love his podcast is walking to that podcast and he always does um well. And then you know Mad Dog is a sportscaster from New York, but he's on MLB network now. Every radio show he would go uhhllo again everybody, how I got today? I will say that that big warm up. There's something to be said for having a signature, like a lot of people have signature sign offs. Sign on. Howard Dern, you know, open to his show with but hey, now doesn't he start with that. I don't think that's his first comment. You know, it does the same thing every show. I think I think he does Okay, So I watched Seth Meyers every night before I go to bed, at least the first twenty minutes late night with Seth Meyers, and he says the exact same thing every show. What did he say? He says, Uh, how's everybody doing tonight good? All right, let's get to the news every night right, basically the same thing, but he has it on the que cards because they've shown the que cards and it says, hey, how's everybody doing tonight good? Like he actually says the word good on the que cards. So that and he does the same hand gestures. He does everything exactly the same, you know, But there's something to be said for that. There's a sense of familiarity. Jimmy Fallon almost every night We'll go it's the tonight show. This is it, baby, you're here, you made it. He's like that, yeah, and I go, you're only talking to the hundred and fifty people in your audience, Like yeah, But it's his thing, So it's f I did it him when he was saying when we had him on the show, I was like, Jimmy Fallon, see, I was trashed from maybe we should hate it here, maybe we should have a Brooklyn Boys official sign off the song, well aside from the SA GO episode episode right? Did the episode? I just call it out? But yeah, but I feel like we need a little bit more than that. Now should we do like episode eighty four? Motherfuck us like that? I don't know. I think people, maybe you should suggest something, and then when I tweet us ago, I think, what's up? Motherfucker? I think the slices should come up with an opening line after episode four and then something what we say after that? How you made it good? All right, let's get to the show. We'll just rip alright good? Yeah, well, all right, love set? But he doesn't. I just cannot say he writes it down. What do you think you forget? I think they're just that precise. They want to make sure that everything's on point. They're very polished over there. By the way, I am burping up garlic like a mother. I don't know what it is, Brodie. I I guess we had some chicken parm in here this morning. Oh my god, we had. This is some of the best food we've had in a while. Not a sponsor, not a sponsor. Was it Leezie's Home Style um foods or whatever? Homestyle meals. She actually they actually make an individual meal prep so you can actually sent to your door individual science. Yeah, it's not a sponsored, not a sponsored. They brought it up because they're big fans of the show. And i'll tell you so. The woman was Puerto Rican and she was like, oh, you guys go to puer Rico tomorrow. I'm so glad the timing was good. I was like, yeah, I hope the food is good where we're staying. I'm sure it is. But she made some unique things. They were meatballs. To me, it looked like a rice ball. Okay, you know your rice ball is fried and has rice in it has meat in the middle and peas which I picked. I picked the peas out. Everybody knows it's green. I don't know. But she made plantain balls, but sweet plantain balls like a maduros So was breaded like a rice ball, cried, but then like shredded plantain inside that she must have wrapped around and then meet in the middle. Instead of rice, it was plantain, and but there was some kind of juice coming out of the plant. I guess plantain juice. But it's just so I don't know, but I don't know if like she put some kind of uh, if she put water in it to pull some of the flavor. I don't know what she put in. I don't even ask because it's the secret recipe. Tell me how mother made it from the she put it from the old countries. What you said, so put rico, which is really not the old country. It's really the old commonwealths should call it um. So those were fantastic. The chicken palm was very good. But that steak, yeah, oh my god. And then the steak that's where I think that's where the garlic came from. There was some garlic and like I wasn't say taraoki, but there was a unique beefy flavor. Oh it was so good. So now the remnants are out there. It's remnants, the remnants, right, you always say that remnants. Oh it, do it. I'm not gonna grammar police, but I got involved in a grammar issue, speaking of which on Twitter. So a Twitter that's how obsessed I am. A Twitter listener sent me a screenshot of a conversation, and the conversation was a guy tweeted something and the woman tweeted her back him back and said, I guess you know more than my doctor and I. And so then the guy the guy tweeted hard said yeah, um, I know more about medicine than you do, and something like and I apparently know more about grammar because it's doctor and me. So then some guy who follows horror chimed in and said, you know it's you know you should be quiet. She's right. So I saw the screenshot and last week, no, no, I'm not done yet. So rather than just laugh at the screenshot, I went and looked up the tweet and dog piled the guy and I was like, rule number one, dude, you don't know who I am, right, And I said, I sent him. I said, you're wrong, it's doctor and me. And then a bunch of people were like the predicate and the subject game, the whole anglish lessons great, um, don't correct people less you're write you know, um, and and poor Froggy's wife Lisa on Instagram, I got I got pulled into that. You got pulled into it. You didn't want to say anything. You were kind of like ducking your head, you were you were putting your you were covering your eyes. And so I saw it. I've seen that that exact shirt before in Disney World, right with the shirt said it said Disney Mom's Rock, but it was apostrophes Disney Mom's mom apostrophies, which is possessive, which means it would be about the about the rock, like the Disney Mom's rock, it's their rock, but that's not It was like plural. Okay, so I saw it. I'm like, not saying a word. Let them. They brought it outside Disney for five bucks and didn't know. It's not my place to correct my friends unless it's you, in which case it's my place, but it's not gonna correctly. But they tagged you, and they tagged I got tagged a couple of times, and and then listeners corrected Lisa and everybody, and I'm like, so we brought it to Elvis's attention, but let me back track. So they're like, at David Brody Grammar Police on Lisa's shirt it should say Mother's you know, with just added mother with an S, no apostrophe. So I'm like, so I I DM people, and I said, hey, listen, I'm not arguing with you. You're right, but I'm not. That's not what I do. I don't attack my friends on social media. I privately would say something if they asked me, but Lisa's a friend and it's not my place to correct. And you know what, I didn't know she I figured, you know, she brought the shirt, didn't notice it. Whatever. The worst part of it all is oh wait, wait, wait, wait wait one thing. So people were writing, Hey Lisa, Happy Mother's Day. Okay, but it's it's mother apostrophees is the proper It's it's the day for your mother. It's her day. Right, it's not mother's plural. Now it makes sense grammatically, but it isn't Mother's Day. It's the day for your mother. It's not a day for all mothers. It's just the way it was named. So people were writing Happy Mother's Day with no apostrophe. So at first I thought they were doing it ironically, like I'll leave out the apostrophe S because you put in the apostrophees. That's funny that. But then I thought, no, they're just wrong. They're they're wrong as well. So then on the air it comes out, poor Froggy Froggy. Froggy was the one who bought that shirt for Lisa, so he he said he was I bought it, and he he said he cost them, he made it, he made the error, and uh, that's that's gotta be awful to make a mistake. That's like permanent, like he paid for making the mistake and then embarrassed. Say it happens if you have a brain fart whatever. I just you know, don't tag me and don't like we've talked about this. If you want to criticize celebrity. Right, If I right, man, I hated that episode of E R last night, don't tag you know a star of the show and me and the reply and add them and go, yeah it sucked last night. If I don't tag this slab, don't take the lab. Yeah, we've talked about this on this podcast. I do appreciate, we both appreciate you thinking of us when it comes to ground. That's the boss. You don't see the boss in an email? No, but but somebody did it to me again with to see seeing the boss thing. It's not cool. It's not only not cool, it's it's it's a dick move. Well, if you include the boss on an email and I write you back privately, right, and I don't put it right, I take the boss off and I write, hey, man, I'll get to that this week. Sorry about that. Don't reply back all great, I hope you'll have it this week because now you're being a dick. Now you're like, I want the boss to see it because I don't trust you. It's almost like they want your job. Nobody they got something nobody wants. Nobody, I mean not not the people on that email. Yeah. Uh, speaking of email, I don't think we're gonna do a mail time, but I did have some tweets. I don't it's too early for that. No, no, I I of course it is. But there's a couple of email that's on here that I just wanted to Can you give out the email address? I'll tell you why people keep tweeting me because you know I'm approachable and they'll say, hey, what's the address for the Brooklyn Boys podcast? And you're the one that remembers because you're the one that checks in the Brooklyn eas podcast at gmail dot com. Seems like I should remember that. Yeah, I'm on the Brooklyn Boys podcast. Also, that's the email. So we um wanted to point out that. So Maria Bernara wrote to us and no, no, no, but this is because it's about to illustrate a point that I wanted to make. Um, she just started. She she started re listening to the podcast on Spotify. I've listened to my Heart Radio and Google Play and started listening to it on Spotify last night. I'm on episode six. So this woman who loves us so much that she now wants to hear us all again on Spotify. Why do I make a point of saying that, Because, in case you didn't know, the Brooklyn Boys podcast is now available on Spotify as well, and we're on and we're on Pandora. Hold On. Someone yelled at me for not doing this. We didn't do this the last time. If you didn't know, now you know, Now you know. Okay, So I had to. I had to file a complaint with the people at I Heart Radio. Hold On have my radio app. I'm opening up to my radio app. I want to play the audio and I'm gonna call bullshit on a celebrity hold on, because they snuck shit in. So what our company has been doing, which is great, is they had all the podcasts record a promo right A lot of the podcast that they're trying to get traction for so I did one for Walkers and Talkers with my co host Jamie. Hey. This is Brodie. Hey, this is Jamie. Uh. We do a podcast called Walkers and Talkers. It's about this. We talked to celebrities about the show. Where so it airs on other podcasts, like at the beginning, like on our podcast, you are other people's podcasts, right right? Yeah, okay, so on our podcast there are people who have recorded their promos to air on our podcast. Now I want to make sure I got the right episode. I think it's this one. Let me make sure it's this one. Hold on. So you're starting an episode of the Brooklyn Boys podcast right now. Okay, what's the first thing you are No, not that one. Let's see what's this one. I know where you're going with this. No, not that one. Why is that one? Hold on? Hold on? It's oh you know what. I'm already listened through the commercial and it's not. Well, let's just explain what happened. No, that's not it. I think is it rotating? It's a rotator, so you're not gonna find it. No, okay, so it was Hey, welcome to the Chelsea Handler podcast or whatever. Uh, you know, we're gonna discuss blah blah blah blah blah blah. It made it sound like it was the beginning of her podcast on our podcast podcast. That's not cool. That's not cool at all, because now you're thinking you're listening to the wrong podcast. Now you think you can listen to Chelsea Handler. They're trying to trick you. Right, It wasn't like, Hey, I'm Chelsea Handler and I do a podcast about whatever. It was Hi, welcome to the Chelsea Handler podcast. Why would you say that first as your opening line? That's on other people's podcasts. She's trying to be down with opp right, other people's podcasts. All right, I'll see it's just hold on? Is this one? No? Not on anyway? It's loading hold on? I want to no Deepak Chopra anyway, whatever, you're gonna find it. So just if you used because if people downloaded it, they have the audio. Yeah, like you download that episode of the podcast. I'm just calling bullshit on Chelsea Handler anyway. Just you've got enough. Maria continues to say that, um, she she's going to be in our neck of the woods in July, and she's been writing down the different restaurants that we've been mentioning on the podcast. She must have an encyclopedia by now. I want to see how many I can hit while I'm up there. She was born in Italy and raised in Miami, and she doesn't need Italian food anywhere, but she's trying to. She's willing to try it in New York. So Maria Bonora, a slice for life here who listens to us and he's hearing us all again on Spotify, wants to make sure that she covers every restaurant that we've mentioned, So that means you'll be going to Ellenbs, Morty Gardens, Pizza, all the good stuff. Hey, where did she send that? Where did you read that from? That is from the Booklyn Boys podcast at gmail dot com. So you are reading email now and we just agree we're gonna read email now and you're reading email. Well, no, I told you there was a reason why, because I wanted I wanted a showcase the fact that we are indeed on Spotify and Pandora. Now, could you have done that by just saying, hey, just a reminded everyone we're on spend. It's nice and it's nice to back it up with an email, you know, and then there's an email with an apology that I need to make because well she wants me to apologize, but I'm not about to apologize. Uh, and you know it was okay, last week's podcast got a little out of control, it did, it got a little. Also, where are you reading this? From the Brooklyn Wars podcast at gmail dot com. This is an email again, it's an email, but email part of the email segment. We're not gonna do that paying the mail stage or now remember that, you know, as you said, that's corny, you know as people, So we're not gonna read email this early in them. We're just gonna just gonna read email instead of reading email. No, it turns out we lost one, did you guys? You guys. I want you guys to start getting ready for it when Scary goes um, get ready for the get we lost one. No, no, wait a second. I just want people to I want people to play at home. We may like have a clap game, go like that. So when Scary goes um, just know that it's coming next to try to time out your clap. There you go that. Sorry, so we lost the slice Slice for life. You offend somebody so Lyddy Rosenberg is no longer a listener. Um Liddy Rosenberg. Lyddy Rosenberg, she's part of the tribe. I know tribe. She said that she's like my husband's Jewish. I'm not okay, Lyddy alright, been a long time listener and after the disgraceful episode number eighty three, will not be tuning in. I believe almost anything goes in comedy, but go ahead, but scarious comments about Greg T's daughter crossed the line. A prudent move at that point would have been to scratch the podcast and delete it and start over, which we don't do, by the way, because we're honest and real and we're not We're not here to like pull the wool over anybody's eyes. Except for what Scary just edited that I just said, he cut me off. We took out that whole section he's joking around were this is this is live how anybody knows. But we're working around so Scary may not have or like kids. That's not true. I love my nephews, Um and dogs, Lucas and what's o the kid's name, Nico, But his remarks were abhorrent. Lots of other things to listen to I don't have to listen to trash. Okay. Uh and she she goes on. She says that I'm um that I'm devoid of everything that you So I lack everything that you have in your life. Yeah, your devotion to your family. I'm a deep human being, he says. She says, Um, how I keep how scary keeps his day job as a mystery? Well, I gotta say, Liddy, that's very cutting. You know, Um have the phone number? No, she doesn't. Uh, you know, you know, here's the thing. Uh, we don't pretend to be political. I'm clapping for myself. I'm in kindergart again. I've going to tell you this. Yes, um, oh, we got a piece of delivery pizza. I see four pizzas out there. Hold hold on, let her in here. What's going on here? Hold on? Yelling, yelling, Danielle delilo, What's what's going on? Hey? Listen? I got a pizza delivery here? You got pizzas? You that I'll take them? You got a special delivery, got sausage? Alright, what's the occasion? So was he a song and the label sent a pizza? The new song Pizza by Ed Sheering yeah, and they sent over pizzas that say thank you in the pepper the people is Mario eating pizza. Mario is our comedy producer. What song is not going to do? What song? What? What song? Did it? Was it that we added? And I love this? So do you mean every time new song gets added to rotation, a pizza shows up? Yeah? Right, Louis Capaldi? You know Louis Capaldi. Who's that? He's some guy, some guy he sings a couple of songs. Okay, yeah, so let me let me have it in the we added his song. Yeah, what kind of music is it? Hold on a second, I'm going to show you. I love that. We could be bribed with pizza. It's great and bribed song and we'll send you a slice. Do you know this guy? This is a great song. She's playing the song we ad no, let's keep going. It's thirteen seconds, so all right, well, thank you the way it's all pepperoni, which is still good, but it's not still stage. I know, I know. I Love is the common man's meet topping. What's the name the song? What? What's the name of the song someone you loved? Okay, well, Louis, I'll tell you something. When something we love and that's pizza. You want a piece, you want pizza. You know what's the greatest, greatest thing here, Brody, the fucking cavone that he is, gets up. You don't even get him one. You don't even get me a slice. The fuck this is you know what we do? We do this to each other. This is why he doesn't get anything in return from me, because because he's time you went down for Italian food Gate at all. And I was going, I want to point out that Brody did the same thing that I did to him, So funk him next time me. That's called revenge. We're even now. He went to go get him slice a self slice, but not me anyway. But I don't get your slice. It's all drippy. They plucking a Pepperroni's falling off real quick while you're in here. Yeah, you were in here when this happened last week. We just do now. You didn't do it. He was disgusting and it wasn't you. We lost the listener last week. By the way, if they heard a Harvard New podcast Tails over Cocktails, right, she did stop listening to them too, good, good listen, just fucking eat your pizza. You got phone I want before it goes away, before pies out there? All right, So so real quick, dan't so we we lost a listener because of the comments that I made about Greg t let. Here's the thing. When you have a fight in my neighborhood, if you fucking hit me in the head, I'm gonna fucking hit you ten times in the fucking in the stomach, in the nuts wherever I'm gonna get you where. The only way I know how to how to shut Greg t up is to really get him where it hurt. Shock. I said some things which hello, okay, you didn't mean, of course not. But by the way, let me let me reset this this this thing here, this is a group chat. No, this was a group chat amongst the guys where anything goes and fucking X rated triple X rated ship goes, and there's no limits. It's a rubber room of fucking attitude. So when Greg t fucking tells me he wants to do things that you could literally people listen to order they heard it, you would think, then then I have every right to say what I'm gonna say, and and there is no limit I could see. But it doesn't, but it doesn't mean The thing is if it doesn't mean anything. It's like if I say, you know what, your mother, it doesn't really mean your mother. It means like your mother. So I hate to say it, you know, And if I was wrong, I would have apologied. There's the thing. If you're an apologize, you shouldn't apologize if you because we do humorous podcast, we're not politically we say we want to say, if you listen, if you listen, if you listen to eighty two episodes of this thing, right, you really got through eighty three episodes, and that's the she didn't get obviously didn't get through a right. You have to know that we don't scary. Didn't actually want greg Ta to do that to his daughters. It was like, oh yeah, can you top this. It's like the movie The Aristocrats. Don't watch that movie, lady. If you're gonna be offended, look, we value everyone's opinion as long as we agree with them. Lyddy, I'm sorry, Lyddy. I love you, but sorry, Lyddy, you're a snowflake. Liddy Rosenberg. You're not listening anymore. So I'm sorry. I have a problem with that. There's no hurt. This is we're all together, we're all sliced just I'm sure we should be playing a Christmas song for Liddy Rosenberg. I have no other choice. I know I should. I mean, that's all I got. But anyway, that's all you got. No, no, you know she's upset. I'm sorry you're upset, but I'm not sorry for what I said, because that's our sense of humor. And you don't know us. You don't know me, don't know me, and you got no don't know me. And she's got no right to go in on me telling me. That's a right as a as a podcast say with you listen. I read her email, okay, but she said she says I'm devoid of devotion to my family. Well, she didn't say said. She said, you're devoid of the of the things that Brody has. She doesn't know how I keep my day job. That's him. You know, I'll agree with you on that. I don't know how the funk I keep around here all these years. Look, if Scary spoke that way, or he encouraged that actual behavior, you would have been fired a long time ago. I've been here twenty four years it's it's don't you dare discredit and discount. It's like if you say to somebody of fighting with, I hope you die, you don't really want them to die. You're just trying to show anger. You're trying to get your point. It's like it's like it's a way of saying, I'm really angry. No, I'm so angry your mother, Like you don't really want you to shout out to everybody on Twitter though. Yeah, we were laughing along saying, look, oh my god, that was so uncomfortable. But those are those are people who get us our sense of human in our podcast and want the listeners that I want. It's the people that qualify everything they say. So, somebody was offended by your phone tap last week? They were do want with your mother? Your mother? I loving that? That one was hilarious. I love your mother, Okay, not the one with his mother scary, scary of the phone to have. It wasn't offensive, But this person was offended by some one little thing because they interpret everything is offensive to somebody if it's you can see what it was. No, I'm not gonna do that, Okay. It was like it was one little line at that that hit home with that one person. It was a trigger, right, it was a trigger. So in the email that you wrote to complain to management, it's always the same. You know. It's either I don't normally listen to your station, but I turned to an or I look, I like to think I have a sense of humor, but this was too much. Everyone's gotta qualify. Like, you know, normally I laugh at everything. I'm not easily offended. But this, it's what It's what Libby did, Libby Liddy Libby it was Liddy. So Liddy says, I, you know, I usually find everything funny, but I do. Listen Liddy, let me explain our comedy works. Everyone has a different line in the sand. Something's a to some people, something's not funny other people. Right, some things are funny and then for a minute they aren't, but you don't give up on it. You could watch like Seth Meyers. You're watching Seth Meyers. Right, he makes a joke about breast implants. Right, you've been watching him for ten years, whatever he's been on eight, whatever it is, six doesn't matter, don't tweet me. And he makes a breast implant joke, and you're like, oh, I have breast implants. I'm offended, be offended for five seconds, and then realize you love Seth Meyers, and it's it's a it's a it's a moment in time you disagreed with, but as a whole you love Seth Meyers. Yes, exactly, But that's what I'm saying. You don't throw the baby out with the bath water. So for that moment, for that moment, you know what scary. I was a little put off. I was triggering. That's what Occasionally I'm gonna throw you a curve like that and you're gonna look at you. But here's the oh my god. We have both set offensive things, but they weren't offensive to horror, right, they weren't hard trigger so she would laughed along. It's like we've gotten an email from other people that were triggers for other people. It's like we do phone taps, right, and I'll do a phone tap with the Russian accent. I'll do a fune with Irish accent, a stereotypical old Jewish Man accent. But if I do an Indian accent, I'm gonna go I can't believe that in the accents race it's offensive, right, But you laughed at all the other accents. Right, it was only when the one that you didn't like me doing, correct, then it's offensive. You aren't offended for Russian people when I talk like this, I doing the Russian phone tap. You don't give a shit, right, Oh, I don't call it Russian Russian accents? Right? But do Indian accent? Oh you got your racist right. People picked their one thing to be offended by, but they laughed and everybody else. What do you think don't be offended? I wouldn't be offended. It's fucking comedy. It's like when actors play a role on television. If you right, if if you do, I don't get it right. If you do comedy, could not offend anyone, then you don't do comedy. Even Jerry Seinfeld, who was a clean McK did an article about a year ago and said that he has a clean comic. He can't do colleges. Is that he can't because everyone's offended by something. Jerry side felt, who offends nobody there? Like have you ever noticed in a hair drawer makes it sound like there's an a law, a siren or that the phone's ringing right, the phone rings when you use your hair drawer. I guarantee, as someone who's like death, that's offensive. I don't know how they heard the joke truthfully, but you know, so he's saying that that that there, that we live in a society where everybody's offended by something. It's and it's not just it's almost saying college kids. He made the point that college campuses, so he is a breeding ground for being offended. He's out on colleges, right like you right, well, you know what that's that's a fair point. I agree with him on that. So you can look, we went through a time when people were insensitive and people said things that were horrific. Right, then the pendulum swung the other way too far where everything is offensive. What happens is when you make everything offensive, then nothing's offensefensive, and the people who want to be like a little bit like us, like a little bit like a push him with a little bit. Then they go, you know what, these fucking snowflakes are offended by everything. I'm gonna be worse now, right and now they'll say ship because they know what offends the other people. Truth. So if the if the people weren't as offended, maybe the offensive people wouldn't be as offensive. And we meet in the middle somewhere, Well, we can you know what, I'm gonna make fun of the guy in the wheelchair because he's a friend of mine. He'll get the joke, and hopefully the ten people who heard it won't be offended for the guy who wasn't offended. Right, don't get offended for the other guy, necessarily, unless you're protecting a race of people, in which case that's fine. But my point is stopping but hurt this woman. I appreciate the compliments from her, but I don't appreciate that she took you that seriously when you could hear we were just making fun of We made fun of you for saying it, We made fun of the stupidity of it, and we made from the whole scenario it was a ridiculous thing. Was just we were just doing our stick. That's what they have other things to attack you for. And I will never I will never curb what I need, what my thoughts, because that's why we're here, and I see what I want, and my my sense of humor is my own, and I will never curb my enthusiasm, which we're going to get to right after this. So she's still here. What are you doing, pizza? I don't want you to be my servant for you. I don't care in that out of the room over there. Okay, I feel weird about this, Yeah, but put but put a garbage pile of something in the door, because otherwise we have to get back up a day. Okay, Brodie scoff down that you know what she told me. There was sausage slices, So I didn't bring you a slice, not knowing what you wanted all but then I found out as I was walking away, they want no sausage slices. Okay, hold on, Yeah, first day with the new hands, all right, So a couple of things. I'm not gonna dogpile on you because you just got dog piled on. I need your advice on something. My family and I went out to a very no thanks to you, expensive high end steakhouse in Manhattan, not not Delmonico's. We were in Midtown my so, my my wife and and uh one of my kids went to see Harry Potter. Nope, not Harry Potter, sorry, uh, Hamilton's. You're not gonna name the steakhouse. No, no, because it was a good experience overall, but I want your opinion on how kids they should have been. So we went to a steakhouse not far from the Thames. Was it No? Not a client, not a sponsor. No, but it was. I'll tell you this much. It was. Now it's relevantive story. But I want your I want you because this has happened to me before, but never like this. So you know it's expensive. It's an expensive dinner, very expensive, right, but it was Mother's Day and one of my daughter's birthdays, so it was a big day. Thank you, Danielle. How many slices you got there? Oh? You brought scary two slices and I'm good. You're gonna napkins as greasy as hell. This is, by the way. This pizza's okay, too greasy. It's puddles, a grease off the pepperoni. Where is it from? Do we know what? For him? Under the bus? But it's just it's all right, it's average. I'm good. I wiped it on my So we ordered uh appetizers and drinks and the waiter was very friendly, but he didn't he didn't he didn't take a drink order. He was like, you want tap water, sparkling water? We said tap and he never came back to ask us for a drink order. He came back and we ordered appetizers, never took a drink order. So I had to like kind of flag him down for the drink quarder, Oh I forgot sorry, sounds like no, no, that was a little bumping the road. The rest of that he was fine, brought the food, do you need anything whatever, bulblah blah blah blah. So for dessert, I had called ahead and said, listen, it's my daughter's birthday and I want to make sure she gets a cake. We'll happy Birthday song, I'll pay for the cake whatever whatever. Turns out it was free dessert. Love it great. Okay. So when it's dessert time, I'm looking for the waiter. I don't see him. Another guy comes over and he says, uh, you guys need dessert. So I said, he's clearing the table. As you want that packed up? I said, you want your food packed up? Yeah? I couldn't finish my giant as steak and whatever else. I go, yeah, you can pack it up. So I think he's helping out. Did you take clear the table. He comes back and he says, uh, you guys want dessert. M like, al right, sure desserts fine, okay, sure, yeah, give a dessert order. And I go to look for my guy and nobody knows where he is. So I find this guy again. I said, listen to Door's birthday. She wants this a little pigampile the mode there whatever, okay, great little rum, chocolate sauce on top where it was bourbon bourbon? That was it bourbon? So he I got it for you. I got it, okay. So now end of the night, I'm looking for to get my check. We're done, So I go on the work. Did the first guy do versus the second? Okay? So the first guy did? I eight before? You know? You didn't clean the table, he didn't take away to pin and pack the food to go, and he wasn't there for dessert. So I'm like, huh. So I say to the guy, uh hey, where's uh where's my guy? He's so he left for the night. I took a uh so and it drops the check. The check says like it tells you whatever it was right, which when you have a huge meal, it's a lot of money, which, by the way, I never understood that if you bring me a plate with a fifties sixty dollar steak on it, or you bring me a plate with a burger on it, you're still doing the same work. I'm not sure why I have to give you more money, legit, no offense to waiters. I know you're probably a better waiter than the guy at the theme restaurant. But the guy at theme restaurants bring me refills from my soda. He's been He's bringing me endless apps. I feel like he's working harder. Why should I give on like a hundreds of dollars worth the meal. You didn't do it anyway. My point was, now we're talking a big bucks tip, right the guy left. Now, when you go to a restaurant, doesn't the waiter a waitress normally go, Uh, you know what my shift has done for the night. I've got a doctor's appointment at eleven o'clock at night. I gotta go whatever. My wife's in labor. Terribly sorry, it was a pleasure serving you. Uh. Miguel is gonna take over for the rest of the nights. If you need anything, This is Miguel hih' Miguel, Miguel, You're in great hands with mcguel. He's my top guy. That's exactly it. Right, there's gotta be the handoff, hand off, So the handoff there has to be the waiter needs to come to the that you've been serving you all night, you've been familiar with, needs to come to the table and do what I just quit the second waiter and and and do a little like cross talk, kind of like spending sometimes when on the radio, when you listen to to DJ's Crossed the hour, Like in the Crossing, the guy sits in the studio was like, hey, SOO was coming up next day? And then the guy says, oh, yeah, I got this, and they have a little little chat, you know, like I'm passing the torch. Yeah, there was none of that. Zero. The guy sounds like the guy just left and right. I didn't even say I was leaving come as a pleasure. Happy birthday to my daughter, this guy, Happy mother's day on the way out. This guy's coming up next. None of that. Right. So, now I've got this thing in front of me right now, normally I give, but I'm looking at that pre calculated eighteen and I'm going huh. And how much of that is going to go to the guy who's the night didn't care of me? I think, okay, that's not for you to decide, because they have their system of pooling. I get that, But would you give even though the guy walked out, yes, because it was still you don't know how that is being divided. My point is, why am I rewarding that guy for the tip I would have given him how he stayed. I gotta I gotta take off something because he the guy who did eighty percent of the work. He because he just ditched me. He's say goodbye, but he did percent of the work, and he said he didn't really ask you if you wanted to drink. It was yeah, he wasn't fantastic. I think you need to I think you need to let them hash that out on their end. They have their own system, and I feel like I should have given him of eighty percent of the bill, take off the dessert, and then tip the other guy cash on a dessert. Huh you know what I mean? No, not if you to decide, well, for whose that the decide? It's my meal? Why am I giving him twenty percent of a giant ass check you give giant and asked check huge. It was huge. It's pissed. It doesn't matter. But what if I were look them up? That's not your business. No, I'm not talking about the divvy. I'm talking about shouldn't he get a ding for leaving? Shouldn't he lose two percent? Because you're now punishing the guy who took over. That's not my problem. He should have come over for the handoff too. When when when when the guy said, and that guy's name wasn't Miguel, but when he when when he said, hey, Miguel, can you cover me? Miguel should have said, yeah, let's go do it the handoff, or mcguel should have. Miguel didn't do you know what micgul didn't do. Miguel didn't come over and say, listen, Steve just did a ditch on you, on your motherfucker's and I'm taking over for Yeah. He went, He like, yeah, he did it like a boom but done. He he just walked out in your check. Uh, Steve had to go my apologies, I'll be taking over instead. He came over, He's like, you want this packed up? I think he's a bus boy. I don't know who he is. Is it rude? Yes, he should have done it. He neither one of him did the right thing. Maybe he uh, if you owned a restaurant, you wouldn't tellerate that. Maybe he wanted to go home and be with his own mom. God bless you, say goodbye to my wife and my daughter whose birthday it is. He wanted to run late, he wanted to work on this day for the big tips he was running. He had to go running late. Great, running late? You get one eight? That's it? Wow? Okay, I disagree. So you yes, what are you saying? You've been a waitress? Yes? I have? Actually, yes, you're a cheer leader. I don't know if that's doing anything. I don't know who tell me because I loved what you said. Who are you cheerleading for the New York Dragons? The Dragons? But I was. I was a fire dancer for the New York Dragons. Yeah, football team. By the way, she's from Oklahoma, Texas. Yeah, So what are you thinking about this? So here's here's what happens in no scenario. And are you more likely to have a different opinion on a bigger check like a couple of all this, There is no big deal. This is like a ty difference. Whatever was. Well, usually what happens is they you get paid out on the hours that you were there. So if this guy was there from say twelve to seven, and he started serving you at six thirty, he's only gonna get what he did from six. No, no, no, I'm not talking about the split. I'm saying, as a customer, do you if you if your intention was if things are good, I'm giving twenty, would you give twenty after he ditched you? An the other guy did introduced like would you take would you take away money and penalize the guy sounds like you're a judge in the Olympics and you take away. I always go by my the service that I'm giving and the food, and so is that good service? The guy leaves does not snow? That's terrible. That's disrespecting the customer. That's terrible, terrible, terrible, squirrel horrible. Now who's then look at scyth Okay, so you know what I'm saying, like a sucking boukocky video over here going okay, you know what, I'm offended. I normally find things funny. I'm disgusted I'm out again for life. And now now you said I don't eat bokaki. By the way, you don't know what that means. Google urband. But here's Urban dictionary erban legend. It's not an urban legend. I'll show your videos as if it's in the Urban Dictionary. In the urban dictionary. Okay, do you think the Urban Dictionary is only for urban people? No, okay, it's for the urban language. No, No, it's every It means like street language. It means like you know, you can like Rusty Trombone looked at bukocky b u k a k e looking at no k k yeah. Yeah yeah. Now when you do it on a racist it's b u k k k a k Yeah. Anyway, I'm boukoki and pizza over here. No, that's not true. You're not throwing pizza over your face from forty different guys. What are you talking about? What are you talking about from different slices? Uh? Speaking of slices? Are people the slices? You did something that was completely funked up last week after our podcast. Okay, what you did was like, let's say an artist comes in here, right and they have a song and and we're playing a new song on our radio station. Are very exciting. No, well, and you hear the song, would you say to that performer, hey, ALESIAKA, that song sounds just like another song like that I heard. It sounds like you ripped them off, right, That's what you did. Not in the world that's what you did. In the world of pizza, you did. Okay, let me set the scene different. Let me set the scene. Let me set the scene. I need your opinion here now. By the way, you can tweet us on whether or not I should have given less of a tip because the guy ditched me and asked, I'm gonna some They were offended because they're the best. Who is now our friends the places of hours now, Yes, our friends at VI I Pizza, I v I Pizza. They came up here the other day Belle Boulevard and baside Queens, not alis, not a climb sponsor, but they came up here. The pizza was fantastic. By the way, Saturday Saturday, they're offering sixty cents slices for all days Saturday because it's their sixty anniversary. That's not no jingle, okay. Anyway, So they came up and they came up as listeners friends of OZ, like, let's bring some pizza. Can you tell we eat a lot of pizza, A lot of pizza. That's why our fan base is the slices. So who is that? I don't know? That's another artist? Okay. So we get these artists sometimes at the labels, bring by and you've never seen them before, and and they come up to like meet the program director, and there's our guy, Mario. Mario, come in, come in, like, go go Mario, tell him, tell him, bring his artist in. Let's see who she is. Let's let's meet him, and we'll be the first ever on No, we don't want to do that. Okay, who is that? No way, that's Oh my god, I can't see the class. I love it looks great. Well, your back was tossed. We're like, oh, who's Mario bringing up? Remember when? Yeah? Oh my god, those shoes are unbelievable. Hi, that's the reminder, that's scary. Jones on David Brody from the Others Straight the Morning Show, and we're doing a podcast called The Brooklyn Boys where we we pizza and we bitch about stuff. Yeah, very casual Brooklyn pizza. Well yeah, this is Manhattan pizza. It's little greasy. I love, I love, I love your hair. It looks amazing. You look great. I dipped it in some ocean foam and that's awesome. What are you up? What are you up to? I've been just making new music in the studio and uh yeah, releasing new music soon single and album? And yeah, what do we have coming out that you can talk about anything? I can't say. We already got on air, but it's always tops. We have new stuff coming though, right we could say that new stuff coming, very exciting, new stuff coming. That's awesome, great moves. What's awesome to see you look? Fantastic thing. If you were to say a song title, what are they gonna do? Album? Right? The initials? Can we give initials? H? G? Okay, so you get to know right now? Can I guess it? I can't guess? Well, I got in my head. What is it? What was that? What mean? It's probably slide? But but if it's right, I can't you know? Go ahead, go ahead? Girl? Is it the head girl? It's kind of better than what I have? Right? Like that would be in New Yorker would say the head girl, all right, but not it's not that, but you know, alright you we'll be seeing you a lot then. It's very sorry, it's good to see you. Thanks you stopping by. They have to, they have bigger fish to fry. They're going to go see the program director makes decisions. By the way. By the way, well so, so we just added a new song from a new artist and they sent Pizza Pizza up so I'm not I'm not so if you'd like maybe like chicken Palm heroes one day would help, right as soon as the song gets the A yeah, as soon as it gets the ad, because you can't give it to us before it gets the ad because that's pizzola. You can't do that. I can't pizza. I order pizzola from the from from the bag. Anyway, good luck in your meeting. We're happy to have you back up, you know, in the station again. Thank you so much, and we will. We're excited to hear GHD even though it's not I'm okay, love you guys. That's by real quick. We're very casual here on the Brooken Boys podcast. Cool take care. So um alright, so back to where we were. Another another Brooklyn Boys moment. That's awesome. I love it. By the way, I can't Babe Rex in here a few weeks ago. I can't tell if they if they get embarrassed and they don't want to come in here, they feel forced to come in here or not. I mean, well, they don't know what they I think they don't know what they're getting into. Yeah, they asked me what is this? Is this live? I said, no, it's not live, it's a podcast. Yeah. Did you tell me the Brooklyn Boys? Yeah? I told him it was the Brooklyn Boys podcast and I heart radio app. They're afraid because they see us with headphones and the mics on. They're like, we don't want to What do you think? What do you think? What do we think stands for? It's not gonna sound better than the head girl? A girl? I mean, I know it's go ahead girl, but the way we say a girl, h G. Well, if you look back, great hand grenades, give head girl? Wait a minute, great head girl girl? Or oh, goats have gas. That's a hit. Goats have gas. So I know we were in the middle of something. But I tell you, what do you By the way, what do you tweet us? What do you guys think stands. Yeah, But I gotta say I fucking love to blow Yeah. I because she takes her top off in concert. No, because of her her first the last album, Habits Got to Stay High, she talks and talking body. Those songs are so sexy and just now when you um when you look at the lyrics to those songs, the real lyrics, they're like talks about. She talks about like getting greasy with with Daddy's on the playground, creasy with taking him back to her place and sucking them. That's what That's what she talks about in that song. She talks about getting getting a fix on that right, and the album that was Habits, and then then then That's got to Stay High all the time. It's like she's my mind. And then talking about talking about is also a sexy song. Yeah. And then her most recent album was called lady Wood. That lady Wood, Yeah, lady Wood Wow, Yeah, like lady would like she has liked, Oh, lady Wood, I have to call you out and I have to ask you because I've never heard of Brooklyn person say it that way. If it's grease, then to have grease on you would be greasy. You said greasy greasy. Is it's another urban dition. You say, great. The reason I say is that some people in parts of the country say greasy. Greasy means now, how would little Wayne say it greasy? Alright, So anyway, so these people from Via Pizza come up and we're scary and I a from you guys have heard of talking about LMBI pizza, right, Okay. What makes LMB pizzas unique is that it's cheese first and then sauce on top, and a little bit of sprinkled pomesan on top of that. But it's mostly cheese. Sauce. Great cheese, it's not cheese on top of the sauce. You watch guys make pizza, they do the circle, you know, the big circle of sauce or cheese on it. Call it a day. Elm B puts a sweet sauce on on this Sicilian so Via pizza and by the way, everyone's doing it all over Jersey. They're like, oh, Brooklyn pizza. They call it whatever. It's blatant. So these people come up and he goes, oh, you guys, you guys, you guys got this. You took this from lm B. This is death, says, this is like a en slice. Well, here's the thing, Ellen B really did originate it the upside down slice by putting the sauce, putting the cheese under the sauce, with Romano cheese on top. It's a signature Brooklyn for like. But you're like, hey, you ripped off the pizza place. I like, your motherfucker didn't say rip off. I said, oh my god, you do this just the way Ellen B does. Because guess what, I guarantee you their family grew up on Ellen but they were inspired by. All I had to say was, you know what, this reminds me a pizza from where I grew up. It's excellent. That's it. If you had it, you're like, it's not an insult in the food world. It kind of is. You go to Bobby Flay's restaurant and you try his his Caesar dressing, and you're like, difference. This tastes just like olive gone is the holy grail of the upside down square, Grandma, but so so to be compared to that. But not everybody know is that only people from the Brooklyn area and people that hear your loss, they know they know what My point is that other people on the show might not have known other places they might be. You were like, I got your busted motherfucker's you stole a pizza. You should die. That's basically what you say. This, you brodie. You know what? No, you know. I have pizza patients to a point, but after there's other pizzas people talking about pizza I can listen to. I don't need you telling them that they ripped everybody off. I'm alright, Danielle altone, you are cut rap I. Pizza girls were upset that I compared their slice to Ellen be the holy Grail of pie. Well, let me let me say this. I think if you told the chief or the pizza maker, oh you're ripping off fell and b blah blah the night, they might be piste off. She's the owner, she's it's her food. It was the two girls from Italy. And did they speak in the English? Yes, they speak English. They hold on, don't call. You gonna get the owner on the phone and ask because she's offended. Now you're pointing it out more. Okay, then I Don't'm gonna call. I don't call, Yeah, don't call. I'm just saying. It was one of those things where you go, why are you offended for them? Brodie? See, this is what you're doing with some snow flakes. No, hold on, you're being offended. I'm not offended. I'm not offended. I'm pointing out that you were rude today. I would guess I was not rude. That's not rude. Rude is comparing an artists music to another artist of music, because they don't you did. There's people to artists are pizza artists. It's artists and pizza. As I said, the food world is different. I don't know about that. Are we getting you a headache, Danielle? No, I ain't got no headache. What is your problem with Harry Balls? I fucking hate Harry Balls? Okay, So on a second, what okay? Okay, let me explain and she could get okay. So, as I told you last week, daniel is a new podcast that she joined, Tails over Cocktails. What's the twitter? It's tails? Um O tails OC nothing to do with the O? C say okay, and it's it's it's three girls. It's three three women on the show. And our friend West, who we've had on before, right, we had West on many episodes ago. He's a big slice High West. I know you're listening. And so she's got a segment. This thing starts and they're like, oh, today we're gonna be talking about blah blah blah. But she's like, why can I talk about Harry guys. You're like, hold on, Daniel, we'll get to that. Okay, I'm ready. And so they do a podcast like fift twenty minutes. He's like, can I talk about hand out? And he's like okay. So she goes on this rant about fucking guys with hand on the chest. I don't want five don't even get me started with a guy with hair on his balls, forget about it. So you just like a clean cut guy with no what did you do before five years ago? What I mean before five years ago, guys didn't shave their balls like they do not ago. I don't school, and I was dating the guy balls like thirty years ago, like all the way that was a swimmer. You want to shave the balls all the way. I hate hands. Okay, but when you went in high school, I'm not gonna give your age. When you were in high school wasn't no, it wasn't a thing that everybody shaved guys anyway, are you shut your Italian Brody Brody? Actually okay, so if truth be told, um Brody got on my case for doing the same thing, really shaving your bulls. No, I did not. You thought it was weird? When did I say this? Five years ago, ten years ago, several years ago, ten years afore before everyone was doing it. Everyone was doing it for like twenty years now. Do you know why? If you look up, the derivation of why people shaved their genitals was actually because you know how you you copy trends that you see on television. What was it? What trend was it that started this porn? Of course, no, but the reason why they started shaving genitals in porn women first was so you could see the action better, So women would shave first. They just shaved around it so you could see better. And they had the triangle the landing strap, right, remember that era, right, make a little heart shape. And then we're like, oh, yeah, i'll top that, gonna shave undernea, I'm shaving the front to motherfucker. And so so it became like a sexy thing to shave more of. Okay, but then why did guys start to the same thing for the movies that makes it look bigger. And then and women were like, oh, you're gonna shave bare you shave. I'm gonna shave you in a shave. But it started out if you look it up, it's start out in porn. And you know, and you know why women shave, uh body hair because in the early nineteen hundreds, the razor companies wanted to double the size of their audience, so they started making women placing ads saying, ladies, you're gonna go sleeveless now. And then and then it was the late nineteen fifteen, nineteen nineteen earlier, getting into the twenties, women started wearing sleeveless dresses. They're like, you know, ladies, a lady would would shave and groom. It wasn't because anyone had made that a law. The shaving companies wanted to double the size of their available audience. So I'm just saying, there's always a reason for ship. My point is you don't like harry balls. But my guess is when you lost your virginity you first started having sex, guys weren't shaving. So my point was, dealt with it. Your first guy completely shaved. Hold on, if you tune back in Lydia. I'm sorry that you let me give them. Let me give them another shot. I'll randomly start somewhere in the podcast I'm talking about and this girl's talking about a guy Harry. But oh, pizza, that's interesting pizza. So the first guy, the first guy you were with, Yeah, he was shaved, he's he was older than he's still older than me. But my favorite is Brody is enamored by No, I'm not. First of all, that's not what enamored means. That's the first of all, I'm not enamored. I'm by because it was a hilarious segment and now their promo on their Instagram account, it's just that segment going tails over cocktails, So you don't you So if there's a guy that has not manscaped, you're you're not into it. One, he's like a little he's groom. What if he's kind of neat? Neat? Yeah, but I don't know. I just don't like hair Okay, you tease hairless? I mean I've never seen him naked. I mean, how do you? Okay, so okay, let me take you to a scenario. Now, who's enthralled. I'm enthralled, right, and I'm in an amora. Now you were the guy. You're just you're in discovery mode because you're single. And now it's like ship he's got full ball. I mean, you don't have a You did not have a chance to forewarn him about your likes and dislikes. And you see hair. Now what what do you do? I mean I probably wouldn't do much. You just stopped right there before you right now, Yeah, I don't you don't think that would be uncomfortable before we're going shave me you like I'll shave your bulls for you'll work. That don't work also, so you'll stop right there like you know what. I'm gonna turn this into a bit from both of us, and we're gonna go into the shower. We're gonna I'm gonna what if you're in a car, I don't fucking car. We're gonna drop. We're gonna make that a drop said, We're gonnay Daniel, do a call. I don't call you think I am hold on? Lady, just was like last chance strikes him, were out fucking a call? Wait a minute. I appreciate car human normally, but drawing the line so you would just tell this guy that you're in the throws of patching with all. You know what, did you say some fashions you can either way? And you'd be like, you know what, let's take a shower together. Yeah, and then I'm gonna shave save. Let's make it something with me. But don't you think that's like going I don't like the way you you you're I don't like your hygiene habits. I want to change something about you. I literally want to throw up just the thought. So do you have to you have to have that conversation then beforehand? Yeah, well I would tell him listen to Tales of the Cocktails episode five, and you'll hear me talk about how I hate Harry Bulls. Right, so someone like I think it was a stress She's like, you know, it's not really my thing. Yeah, and she's like, I hate it. I did say that I did. Okay, alright, well, I'm gonna check that episode number five. I don't know if you have to, we just I know, forget about it about get out of you're done, You're good. I mean, if you want me to stay, I'll stay. Okay. I love you so much. I loved you. I loved you in our last part. You never know what's gonna come out of her mouth, something crazy into it. Yeah. People people people said, oh Daniel, you're so noughty. I'm like, are people? So people are listening and you guys are you guys? I want you guys to come on with us. I'll be on tails over die coax noises. Okay, you have that. We're good. Um. You know you know our friends at gravity blankets. You've seen them all. You see you see the blue boxes sleep with every night. I'm not even joking. I love it. I want the cooling one. I gotta get the cooling on the summer. So I'm glad you brought it up. So gravity blanket is the only way to blanket proven. We prove sleep and reduce stress. We've talked about you don't. This one is ten pounds by the way, So my my youngest daughter says, oh my god, it's perfect my size. I go, but it's mine to take with me. Guess who stole it. It's hard blanket now, so now I gotta steal it back while she's sleeping at night. And if I can take it way in Puerto Rico. Brody has been Danielle, Brody has been like holding onto this one. Brodie can't see the clock. It's one thirty. Broa. You guys got a flight tomorrow morning, right, that's right, we gotta go to We go to Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico. This this, this, this problem I had with the Forcett company. It was so long and involved. It was it was an hour at least on the fall I had. I had to write it down. I wouldn't forget. So if I would have to read some of this because I didn't want to miss anything, I want to hear this story, all right, So I'll tell you. It's a it's a facet. It's made by by Cohler. It's a touchless Forcett system. So you wave your hand under it, right over the it's like an arch. You wave your hand under it and the water comes on. You wave it again, it goes off. Right. We got it because one of my kids can't. We had a problem reaching the back where the force. It was like, what a great idea wave your hand and my wife always wanted a touchless faucett things, so she picked it up at Costco. Now, the thing about Costco people don't always know is their models are sometimes specific to Costco. Right, You're like, oh, how come I can't find that? It's sometimes it's like the model numbers two d and seven instead of two hundred and five, and that's how everybody knows it's a Costco only model. So I got a model of uh washer uh Fawcett and they only make it Costco. It's got a pull down spread. Okay'll be quiet, all right. After about six months of owning it, there's a little thing under the under the counter called the command box assembly. It's shorted out and then the touch lists no longer works. You have to unplug it and manually use the water. They sent me a new box right away, and now It's been about six months since that new box and it burned out again. So I called Cohler. I told him what happened, and they said the replacement part was a hundred and twenty days back ordered, and if I wanted a whole new unit that I have to install myself the whole it was thirty days back ordered. Which do I want? Do I want to wait thirty days for the whole thing or a hundred twenty days for the defective part? So I said both are unacceptable, And I said, you have a parts distributor somewhere in the country that you could overnight it. To me, how could you can be completely out of a part on the entire model? How could it not have any similar models that use the same part that goes on then the sink. It would be like Burger King running out of burgers, which happened to me also, I said, So they told me those are my only options. Nobody has the pots but them. M okay, you know me by now you know even is not even, which is what I told him. I said, I paid full price for this unit and it's been defective twice now, Plus you want me to wait at least a month to get a replacement, which means I'm not gonna have an automatic face at least a month. No, the automatic facet is the whole reason I bought this thing in the first place. World, So I said, here's what you're gonna do for me. You're gonna offer me some kind of credit for the unit for the time that I'm without this full functionality. I said, seventy five dollars should cover it. He said, there's no way to offer a refund until I said, transfer me to someone who can take care of it. If you can't get me seventy five dollars, transform me to somebody you can. He said he would transfer me to the resolution department. Resolution. By the way, they have owned their own department. You say you want a resolution, Well, okay. After seven minutes he comes back on the line and he said the resolution department told me I could now this is their resolution. The department a charge of resolutions. He says, you know what, sir, you can bring it back to Costco. They have a no problem return policy and they'll give you a new unit. I pointed out to him that I said his name was Mike. I said, Mike, guess what I just waited on hold seven minutes for you to tell me that I can go to Costco and return it myself. I don't need you to tell me I can go to Costco. I can do that without having to call you. I'm trying to end what I have to do. Then that mean they're gonna take it apart, the whole thing, put it back in the box. I don't have anymore because I bought it a year ago, and bring it back to Costco get a new one. Hopefully I don't have to receive it's been a year, and then put it back together. So it seems like a light went off in his head when he realizes how stupid the suggestion was. I said, why didn't you transfer me? You said you're gonna transfer me, Then you came back with a stupid idea. And they come back and tell me I should go to Costco. That's horrible customer service telling me to take care of myself, take my sink of are I said, that's crap. I said crap to him, Yeah, I said, this is your company sending out defective units and and and and defective replacement parts. What's to say it's not gonna break again? In another six months. Have you have you updated the part? He says, no, we haven't. Huh, so it's gonna break again in six months. He goes, Uh. I s I said, how about you upgrade me to a better unit for my troubles. He says, no, we can't do that. Why not, he says, he didn't understand why I want a better unit for the situation. I don't say, I don't understand. Didn't you tell him that even is not even free dessert? So copy? So I explained to him the theory of free dessert. You have to make up for the fact that this has been broken twice and it's gonna break again. So give me a better unit than isn't likely to break again, and it will cover my dissatisfaction with having bought a faulty touchless. He put me on hold again and came back and said there's nothing he could do, which I said, Now, now you are going to transfer me to your resolution department so I can get some goddamn resolution. So he transfers me to some woman named Susan in the resolution department, who again told me there was nothing they could do for me unless I had the original receipt so lazy that, Susan, I explaha, ha, she just spins around. I explained that you know what I paid for it, because you know I bought it in Costco. It's the same price in every Costco. You know what I bought it because I called the first time a year ago when the part broke. The first time, I said, do you have a comparable unit that I could take the assembly part from? She says, um, I can give you another unit. But um, she says, before I give you another unit that might be similar, She says, are we talking about the touchless version of the unit? So I said, my the impression I gave was what the fox, Susan. What I said was what the hell? Susan? I said, the whole reason I'm calling. We've been having a conversation is that the touchless part doesn't work. So why are you asking me if the part I wan't replaced is some of the touchless model? So I said, to your Susan, follow the bouncing ball and just what does that mean? I said, it means you never were a child, That's what it means. So she says, well, we can give you a similar model, which I can get you in a week, but it doesn't have compatible parts, so I have to take it part my sink completely and put together a whole new unit. So I said, that's unacceptable. If you want to give me a similar unit and I have to install again, you owe me money. So so I said, you should give me a seventy five credit. She says, I don't understand. Why would we give you a credit. We're giving you a new unit. So I explained to Susan about free dessert man. I said, when the book come By the way, when the book comes out, Brody'll be just much. It's so much easier to be like by that book, and you'll and I don't have to explain it to you, right, I said, I'm not gonna install your new unit. I did that already and it broke twice. Of course, again, I said, and told about no even, I said, paid full price for this U and it's been defective twice. Right, I said, you you want me to wait at least a month to get a replacement. I'm not gonna have an automatic force for at least a month. My daughter can't turn the water on. That's the whole reason I brought the thing in the first place. By the way, my daughter is now old enough turned the force. And on the point, was it bought it for that reason? Okay? I said, here's what you're gonna do for me. You're gonna offer me some kind of credit for the unit for the time i'm without it, for it's full functionality. Seventy five dollars should cover it, all right. The last guy said, there's no where I can get a refund. I said, transform me to someone who can take care of it. He said he would transformit a reloution department, and seven minutes went by, he came back told me I should go to Costco and do it myself. I told him that's unacceptable. Looking at me, I said, Susan, I could go to Costco by myself. Are you the person who told him to tell me to go back to Costco? She said, well, I thought that would be a solution. It's not a solution, Susan. You work in the resid loution department. I'm not getting any resolutions, Susan, I said, your company is sending out defective units and defective replacement parts, and now you want me to wait a hundred twenty days to get apart. You know, the things breaking, maybe you should stop depart. Wow, I said, I want seventy in my trouble and you can send me a new unit. I'll wait thirty days. You could send me the new unit. She says, well, we can only do that if you have your receipt. I said, I bought it a year and a half ago. The model is only made by Costco. What is the problem, she says, I'm sorry. Without the receipt, I can't help you. So I said, I will call Costco and see if they had a record of my receipt and I and I said, uh, reassure me that this entire conversation was put on my account. So when I called back with the receipt, everyone in your company will be aware of what we had just discussed. Right, she says, I said the two options, I want a replacement and seventy five dollars. Susan assured me it would all be in my file. I called Costco. I spoke to Ashley. Ashley was fantastic and once I gave her my membership number, she gave me a copy of my receipt in my email. Bravo Costco, she said, Um okay, she said, UH, call back your company. Okay. So I called back the company and I said to the person, Uh, this is what's going on. This is I just called. My name is David Brodie. There was no mention of the seventy five dollars or that I should call back and get a replacement part. Fuck you, Susan. You lied to me fifteen minutes ago. You told me it would be. Oh, it will be part of your record. I assure you, yes, they'll be. I'm making a notation now click click click on the keyboard. There was no notation on my account. Take a breath, David Brodie, okay, all right. So this is Amy who answers the phone at at Kohler. So I went off on horror and I and she said, I don't understand. Explain to me why you want seventy five dollars. So I explained to Amy about free to start burning my stake, the whole thing all over again. I said, I just want my unit and seventy five dollars. She said, can you forward me the email of your receipt, which I did so she says, um, I can't read it. It was all green. There was a problem with her computer. Because I'm sorry my computer can't open your attachment. My whole screen went green. The company doesn't have a computer that she can she's I have to use my phone. All the computers here are are defective. Sounds like she wants to solve your problems, all right, So she says, I'll send you a unit like yours. We'll have in twenty eight days. I said, what about the money? She said, I still don't understand why you want seventy five dollars. So again I explained free dessert to her, and even as not even so, I said, I really need to be able to send these people copies of my book. I made a note to myself that's why, like you said, it would be easier. She put me on hold. She came back, and she said, the resolution team just approved your check. She said, apparently you've been driving them crazy all day. They're sending you a replacement unit. And I said, She said, and you're seventy five dollars. I said, you know what now on a hundred? She said what I said, because I wasted an hour on the phone with you people, the seventy five dollars had the audacity to go in for another thing. I said, the seventy five dollars for your defective units. And I said, the twenty five dollars is for the aggravation I'm getting. And she said. So, she says to me, you know what, it sounds like, you've had a hell of a day. I'm gonna approve a hundred dollars. So I got my hundred dollars free dessert, and a week later it showed up in my house, the new unit. It's a double win for me. But listen to this that I had a type of pages that's crazy, and I still have bad resumes to read on the next step. You need a break, bro, We're going to Puerto Rico, Putoco, Puerto Rico. We're gonna get out of here. Shout see you next week. How to redo, I'm going to redo. I've gotta redo, I've gotta redo.
