Speaker 1: All right, this is scary. You know that came up in my Facebook feed, that those guys came up a year ago yesterday. How about that? You know what last year during the summer, it was great. It was nice and hot. It's not summertime yet. I am freezing my ass off in my house. You know why? Why is that? Because my wife had a great idea. She said, let's not put the heat on if it's cold, We'll just put extra blankets on, extra clothes on. But you have a better solution. Well, she had a better solution. She took my gravity blanket. And now she's warm in my dark blue gravity blanket. And I'm like, we can we turn the heat on? It's cold at night. The thing is, you know, you know gravity blankets, they're very versatile, and now they have these cooling blankets. It's it's the main focus of a gravity blanket is to put some extra weight on you and to relieve stress and anxiety. Yes, and she has no stress and no anxiety exactly, And I do because I want to get another one now. In a reason Sleep Score Lab study, people reported a better night's sleep with gravity. Uh, if you've ever wondered with a pound blanket feels like it's a it's a giant hug. It's like when you swaddle your kid, or when you are babying your your mom wrapped you up. If you don't remember that, but to the time that you were in the womb. These is a premium weighted blanket from Gravity. It's the Gravity Blanket. Don't settle for any imitations, um and it will over time. I think it's a form of health and wellness if you think about it. Um. Again, the cooling version of their blankets so you can keep cool during the warmer months which are coming up here. UM. And of course the weighted sleep mask that applies the same technology as the blanket but on your face. They have those now. They also have a Thermo Comfort sleep mask that has a lectra weight in it. Plus it as heating and cooling. Well, it's like air conditioners. It for your eyes and you can't go wrong. A hundred fifty satisfied customers are talking about out Gravity blanket and now our friends want at Gravity Blankets, want to hook up our Brooklyn Boys fans. Of course you know code Brooklyn. You got fifteen percent off your purchase at Gravity Blankets Dot com. Take it from me. You should probably get two of everything, So if you're a significant of the Steels one, you still have another one. Gravity blankets dot com use code word Brooklyn for off, start ups up, Brooklyn Boys Up, Brooklyn Boys. That data they're making noise data episode. This is the Brooklyn Boys podcast. Body, can I tell you? I got one of the funniest We got one of the funniest text messages on the August Ran Show. This is hilarious. Somebody texted in a lot of people. You guys are great on Thursdays. You're texting and start up, start off Brooklyn Boy. I'm gonna read a few of them Brooklyn Boys Thursday. I'll read a couple, but then I'll read you my favorite. We got start up, startup, start up slices here, Slice, Slice, Slice. I hope the Brooklyn Boys are banging out a show. All these comedy podcasts and none of them can make me laugh like the two of you guys. I'm ready for some rants. All let's see what else started. Speaking of comedy podcasts, if I inter up for a second, I Heart Radio sent out an email two weeks ago and it was like comedy Week on I Heart Radio and it said check out our top podcasts. So I'm like, yeah, I know it's coming. It was Joe Rogan and what's that I forget her name, Ada Forest and uh our buddy, uh, what's his name? Well, n Burgundy podcast. Look, I'm going all the big shots, right, and I scrolled down there's our podcast. We got to mention we made the I Heart Radio email. Thank you whoever made that email, because now we're part of that. Also, let's see Sarah, are you gonna read the one that? Yeah, but the ones you're reading came in at around noon East Coast time when we were recording this. The ones I'm talking about came in during the other ahead. So a bunch of them like startup, start up, Uh you know it's Brooklyn Boys Thursday, um BBT, And so I tweeted. I texted back a couple of people and I said, hey, you're a couple of hours early, right, we're not recording yet, we're doing the big show. So somebody wrote, yep, I don't know who it is. It didn't put their name on it. Yep, I know how it works. Fifteen minute morning show podcast. Then Scary goes and flirts with the marketing salespeople. Then Scary goes and eats. Then it's startup, startup, and you know what, that's what happened to the time to go down to hustle. My band on the sand did not mingle with that. You did eat, though, I definitely yes, our friends, you have to pursuke without me. I eat pursued. What did you get pursued from your refrigerator? Oh, the Coca Cola refrigerator that we're keeping the back is that yours? Well, it's the one that I saved fifteen years ago. Everybody wants to throw out what to pursuit? Yeah, no years old? No, like refrigerator. Okay, where'd you get pursued from from the refrigerator? Okay, I don't know. I forgot who sent that. Oh for Telly. I'm the sponsor yet you know I'm trying to get them as a sponsor. I feel like I feel like you should play a jingle. Half the jingle okay you go um. And as we were coming in here to do the podcast, Greg T is such a wise ass from the Big Show, Greg T. He's like, hey, he goes, you guys start the show and I'll be in about ten two any minutes. You know, Jersey Kid. And we got a lot of negativity about the Jersey Kid. Every time we bring his name up. Every time he comes in here, we get a lot of backlash. People tweet at us, people text us. Usually it happens when he comes in that day we get the hate tweets. Well, not everybody's caught up. So I gotta I gotta a tweet, uh, three or four days ago, and it said I'm behind some episodes. But you guys just asked the about the Jersey Kid. No fucking white Ye, so don't worry. Uh. The other Strand Morning Show studio, which is where we're at right now, Um, after twelve noon, the door locks and you have to use your access card key to get in. However, there's a super lock button on the board here that locks it where no one can get in. Yeah, it's the Matt Lower Special. Yeah right, but this locks people out. As opposed to what Matt did. We're not laughing at what he did. Were laughing at the fact that he that he had a lock on his door, which is just so people from the outside so great. So Greg t thought that, oh it's after twelve noon, he's trying to use his access card. He thinks it's not working. No, we we put superlock on, which is why he's not on this episode, and he's been trying to get in ever since. All right, screw him. By the way, is that Ricky from the twenty something Doing Nothing podcast? Yeah, she was on with us last week. She's wearing a Brooklyn Nets shirt. Yeah. You think she can name one player on the Brooklyn Nets. Uh? No. By the way, last episode, Um, most of you guys are very helpful, but a couple of guys broke the rule. That's okay, you're trying to be helpful. Um, we had a problem with Jake the producers mike. Last week. We had Jake and Ricky on from twenty somethings Doing Nothing and so um, although his mic was on, what happens is you have to push a button that says send that audio to the software we used to record the podcast, and you have the superlock on for Ricky, you can't get in. Get your ass up. All right, hold on, Ricky, we'll get seen a second. So it looked like Jake's mike was on, which it was. It was the whole desk lights up. Red when your mike's on. We have these crazy countertops here. We heard him in the headphones and then you have to push a button on the board. It tells the audio where to go. And so there's a right as was Scary last week. Uh, and that button says go to pro Tools, which is the software we used to record the podcast. So it looked like the audio was going, but the audio from Jake's mike was not going to the recorder because even was lit. It was really out, but it was lit. The board is digital, so it was telling us that it was going to problems, but the audio and was not. And so all we could see was all three of our wave forms or what we thought, but it was actually two of our wave forms going, and so we we know. Everyone's like, Jake, you can't hear Jake. You guys fucked up. Here's what you need to blame Scary even though wasn't this fault as it turns out. But what what you heard was you heard Jake in the background of my microphone because it was picking up my microphone. Hollo on a second. Then Ricky came in and you could hear him on Ricky's mike because he was he was next to him. But thank you coach to boy Josh. He went back into the audio and he raised Jake's level. Now it sounds like in the Dark Ground but made louder. So it doesn't sound perfect, but you could hear him. Please do yourself a fallback. Delete episode eighty one from your phone. I had to have. If you downloaded it, Joy and Sam, we'll talk about her, you know, we'll talk about her. You have a problems, Dorry, Jody and Sales is the one who um experimented with me. If you delete episode eighty one and then re download any on, that's an experiment. You will have Jake on full. If you don't download and you just listen off for the radio, Apple, whatever you get your your podcast from, just go to that episode again and it should be what you can hear Jake. Now here's Ricky, his co host's doing nothing. Okay, now you're doing He thinks you're doing the equivalent of the people that were classic rock shirts from Target and don't know the band because I have a Brooklyn Nets shirt. That's correct. You bring your Brooklyn Nets. Can you name it Brooklyn Net? Yeah? Angela Russell, alright, Jared Allen, God bless you. The other six in the conference. Good, thank you. I'm happy. The Brooklyn Boys podcast. We're in a Brooklyn Nets shirt and you can name Brooklyn Nets. Do you know how they're doing in the playoffs? No, alright, they're out. But but you're a fan of the team, well enough to know the players, but not enough to know that. But I'm happy. I'm excited. I saw them in l A. We actually got kicked out. We saw them the Lakers and we got kicked out Brooklyn drink. Oh yeah, we were all wearing Brooklyn shirts. But like New York fans are a little aggressive about their teams, I guess, and they just l A fans were aggressive towards us. But we were aggressive because we were cheering loudly. Obviously we're the only ones in our section that we're even wearing Brooklyn anything. Yeah, so we were the only ones that were there really to see Staple Center, were causing the rockets. Why would you have gotten kicked out? Well, I guess by causing a rockets. Yeah, we were cheering and we're being loud about fan of the game. I agree. What a bunch of assholes. I went to a game at the Staples Center because we were out in l A for the Norwegian cruise line. Uh cruise on the bliss right, we went to you and I went with a couple of people and my friend Jeff is a big Laker fan and Lakers fans, so he's like, I really, I've never been to the Staples Center. Well we went when they they didn't they weren't there for the home game. But I got to see the Lady Lakers. I know that's not their name. I think it's the l a sport, which it's that's not a terrible name for terrible. But so we saw a w NBA game, which was good. It was exciting a lot of people in the stands. It didn't have that that Jack Nicholson sitting courtside kind of the same vibe. I feel like all the celebrities significant others should be the w n B A game, like Jack Nicholson if he was married, to have his wife there. It's all the celebs are at the Laker game. Okay. Well, all I could say is, um, there are a bunch of pussies that they had to cook you guys out because because you come to our arenas and our ballparks and our stadiums, and people get to freaking root for the visiting team all the time. They don't get kicked out, can't It's not true. That's no, unless they're dumping beer on a Yankee fan and you go around a Red Sox jersey and they scream. Okay, I been sorting events, I've been met Yankee games. You're not kicking you out for cheering. For the know they'll kick you out, but they'll throw beer at you. Well, that's the fans, right. She's saying she got escorted out, she get kicked out. They actually came down. Did you get kicked out? I agree with you. The free country and freedom of speech, what you want, whither of You know why the Los Angeles Lakers are called the Lakers because they were originally in a city that was by a lake. Duh, your half right? What city? Chicago? What state? Nope, it's from there, from the land of a Thousand Lakes, Minnesota. Yes, so they were the Minnesota Lakers. That makes the way more sense. Well yeah, Well, there's a lot of teams where I don't know if we've talked about this before on this podcast. I can't keep track if we have I apologize. So the Utah Jazz what does jazz have to do with Utah? But they were originally from New ORLEANSSA. And I'll give you one more. Do you know why that this may blow some people's minds? Do you know why the Los Angeles Dodgers, another transplanted team, are called the Dodgers. What does that even mean? Well, we know, let's go back to their roots from Brooklyn. They from Brooklyn Dodgers Ebbitts Fields, right, uh and I guess oh yes, they used to have to dodge trolley cars because they were they were the trolley tracks, the trade Trent, the overground trade, the trolley cars, and that they used to refer to people in Brooklyn as as trolley Dodgerslie, Dodgers got it really cool? Actually, they go I knew that that was somewhere they stole. They stole Minnesota's basketball team and Brooklyn baseball team. I'm gonna win so many. I'm surprised with the Brooklyn that shirt didn't try to steal the Brooklyn nets. If you think about it, l A was only built in the last like sixty seventy years, right, there was not much before that. There was the expansion to the west, so they needed to steal things from people. They couldn't be original on a lot of Well they moved in fifties six, Yeah they are. By the way, did you like take a scissor to that shirt yourself? Yes, to sexify it. What did you do? She only has she decided to like it's not even showing any cleavage or anything. It just just to make it a little more comfortable. I don't like when it's too tight on my neck, so I cut the neck part. But I also did cut the bottom part because this is a medium's men's shirt. Cut saying mediums medium's men men's medium. It's a mend. I cut it in half because far too big. If you could see me, I am four eleven and a hundred and fifteen pounds. Yeah, you're lying about one of those numbers, weight four ten and a half. I am four eleven. Can measure me right now, I will get up my spinner. I am not one of those people that lies scary Jones. It's not nice. Just go to Urban Dictionary, look up spinner people. Ally McBeal let let her find out live on the podcast ahead. Type in spinner is that a nineties word. Is that a two thousand's word? I think it was some Alley McBeal. You have to be four ten to be a spinner, Well, you have to be smaller, lightweight. It's as a petite woman denoted as a joke, whereby the petit woman is so thin that she's able to be mountain and spun in a circle on an erect penis. Yeah, that's it. I should have just put two and two together. Great is the Internet. There was a time you'd have to go ask around for that. Yeah. You know, it's so funny because every time I post something on Instagram and people don't know the answer to that, they'll write in a comment, like, for instance, we had little Dickie up here a couple of weeks ago. Someone on my Instagram had the audacity to write, I don't even know who this guy is. So I'm like, Google, you idiots. You put a comment on on my thread. You have a phone in your hand, ab the fucking just right, Just type in Google. Google is your friend, people texting? People texting the show? What's your phone number? You could have already googled Elvis durand phone number. Just google little Dickie. Who is he? No, no, no, no, no, you google Little Dickie. I'm not gonna Ricky google Little Dickie. If you google little Dickie, I'm Little Ricky. And then ur, I actually wonder what would come up in urban dick pictures scar what little dick no is? A Dickie is a fake collar, fake collar, like a fake turtleneck you wear that it actually comes up. He is a Jewish rapper person when that comes all right? Good, So I guess it wouldn't come up the things that you would think. What do you think of his song? Earth you like it? I do like it? Yells like a Disney song. It does sound like a Disney song. But I like the purpose of it. Yes, so if you like science, it makes sense. And that's about I mean. I'm not going to listen to it on my client And sorry, guys, who turned me onto Little Dickie? Was? I called myself our old friend bold freak Rannie he uh when Save that Money came out? You have to see his videos, by the way, The Freaky Friday video with Chris Brown is brilliant. Oh yeah, this guy is like he he writes, like plays. It's epic. Everyone should listen to a Little Dickie. If you don't, and if you're not a fan of Earth, that's okay. Even though the video is amazing, it's got so many cameos in it, right tons, But look at his other two three videos that are out there that he has. He's got more than that actually. But the thing is with his songs, they are kind of like stories there not really things that you're listening to on your drive or at the gym or anything like that, so you don't really think about it. But he is very talented, extremely we like, we love Little Dicky. We can we have him on the podcast. He seems really nice. I'm sure he's available. Yeah, you know what. By the way, did you record you twenty something? He's doing nothing podcast yet? Yes, we did one. We have another one that we gotta do. We do today. We want to vacation next week? Well no, we did now every week every Monday and Thursday. We have a new problem. We are not we are not going to be doing that, So we're not. If you want that extra episode, listen to our friends over doing Nothing. We did say that on our podcast. We did perhaps flirt with the idea that we would do twice a week. But we can't even get in here once a week to do this. Yeah, we don't have It's just we have the schedule we don't have not easy. But the twenties somethings who do nothing are working twice as we had nothing but time. Alright, well, you know, while you're here, I need a I need something settled. Now you guys will understand. Uh, you listen to the podcast. You know that Scary and I are from Brooklyn, Rickey. You're from New Jersey, Patcong, right, which is northwestern New Jersey. So you know what, because I troll your I G I'm always posting she's always on a boat with a beer, and I'm on a lake. I'm on a lake, bitch. Yeah, there are some great lakes out in that area. It's about forty minutes outside of Manhattan without traffic. In fact, I've looked at moving that area a couple of times. I want to move to net Cong one day. Alright, but really I'm kidding. Just making is literally right next to us on the side of the lake. Don't swim across to see him. Now, So people in uh, this is probably a Northeast thing. But I want you to understand the difference between the Northeasterners and people from other parts of the country. So I was on the bung Jovi cruise with my friend Rob a couple of weeks ago, right, went on the bungo A cruise, and they The thing about Norwegian Cruise Line is they have they have actual restaurants on the ship. Some restaurants have like the big dining room and you just go to the same dining room for all your meals. But on Norwegian they have like an Italian restaurant, a French restaurant in Brazilian. Yeah. Right, So we were going to uh put our name down to see if there was a table available at the Italian restaurant, which if you've ever been on Norwegian it's called La Cucino, which is the kitchen that's gonna be my last choice on a cruise. Well, restaur food. The food is very good. I'm sure it's good. I'm awesome. But well, here's the thing from No we find out, but we screwed up our reservations. That's my friends and the first place they go is to go to the Italian restaurant in a room to the Carabpean Town restaurant when I got the best restaurant. Hush that mental, you speak my language? Yes, all right. A couple of things. We messed up the reservation time at the Japanese habachi place, Tepanyaki, so we had a scurry to get and scramble for for dinner. Now, I'll tell you this as a New York snob of Italian food. The food on the ship is excellent. Let's get that part out of the way, so we don't focus on that. But it was very good. So it's a hallway and at the end of the hallway you see the woman at the at the like the hostess stand. Right at the hostess stand is a husband and wife, male and female. I don't know what the relationship was. Could have been kissing cousins. I don't know. They're at the they're at the hostess stand. And then behind them, about six ft behind them, and a couple of feet to the right, closer to the elevator bank, was a family of four parents and and and teenage kids. Maybe right. So I woke up my buddy Rob, also from Brooklyn, and I stand next to the people who are off to the right, A little bit and behind the people at the hostess stand. So I say to the people to the right, you guys on time, because they didn't really look like your online yeah wordline. So I said, what small town or unpopulated state are you from? And she says, Idaho. How did you know that? I shall tell you I know that because where I'm from, in Brooklyn or in New York in general, I would be so far up the ass of that person online in front of me, breathing down his neck to get a table, you would you'd think I was part of his family. The fact that you have six ft to waste. That when that woman says next that you have the time to waste to walk six ft, I'm gonna be standing behind you shaking while I wait for you to walk up six ft so you can put your name down on that list. I don't have six ft of time. I've got to get in that restaurant. I got life to live. I'm used to that. There's a pace to this area. And they're like, yeah, we'll just stroll up to the hostess stand. We're on a cruise with casual with six ft, right. I cut those people, so I said, I said, could you move up? No, we're good. I go. You don't understand I accident explain where I'm from. Someone's gonna come and cut someone from New York is gonna come and cut and fright. So I said no, but Ricky meant cut him with a knife. Right. So I said, if I stand behind you, which is the right thing to do, I'm gonna be staring at that six ft gap? Please, can you do me a favorite no offense? Couldn't you move up? Well? And they were polite, they said, oh, sure, no problem, and they were laughing because to them it was like, you know, they drive an hour to get to the Walmart, so they're not like there's nothing but space with it. They're like, oh yeah, we drive into town. I'm like, oh my god. I couldn't do that. But I got this. I realized, like people on like I needed a cruise. I needed to relax. But this was like night too. I wasn't like relaxed. Yeah, this is everything, but relaxing. What would scare? What would you have done? I would have done the same thing. I would have been like, yeah, it happens to me too. Like imagine waiting to get into the tunnel in New York to leave, and you left the car links If you left the car links first of all, the guy but find you like, even though once you pull up there's nowhere to go, three cars would come from another lane to get in front of you. He would be getting out of their car. You can't leave a space here. If you're not tickling the front, the back bump, or the guy in front of you, you're gonna get the horn honking that people screaming at you. Yeah, Ricky, would you be shaking? Oh yeah, No, I would not be. I would be unwell in that moment. I would write and I wouldn't know what to do because I would feel like I needed to say something I did, but I would tell myself it's not worth it. Ricky couldn't even adult, she couldn't even human, because I would want to say something so bad, but I would be like, I need to relax. I'm here to relax. Don't say anything. It's not a big deal, everything's fine, but it would freak me. Now. My friend Rob, who now lives in South Carolina, was a little more mellow because he lives in the South now and he's he's trying to you know, it's worn off. No not, He's like he was sort of like upset, but he's like, you know what, just relax, she'll be We'll be okay. I got, you know, like I'm learning. I'm learning. He's learning living in South Carolina to like slow down a little bit. So I said, I know, but I'm like, my my wrist was my wrist was shaking, like I didn't know what. I couldn't control myself, Like you're wasting all that time. It's like when you go to a sporting event, you wouldn't know, well, you might know this, Ricky. When you go to the bathroom at a sporting event, everybody lines up for the urinals right, and then, like you, you stop like ten feet from the urinals, and then you go to the next available urinal. But if you want to be efficient, you just stand behind any guy at any urinal and even though he's not next, when he moves, you're there, ready to go. You're there, And if everybody does that, even even though you might have been third instead of first, the whole line will move faster because you've you're not wasting that time and hold on if it's a line of urinals. And then there's you have to leave. You have you have to stand back? Yeah, you can stand back a couple of feet. What I'm saying is piss. No, you don't stand right behind his ass, but you stand like five ft behind him. Everyone picks a guy and you all stand guy leaves ready to go. Otherwise you're eleven feet back by the dow have to walk eleven feet That urinal is empty all that to night. That's the where I draw the line with you until this. No, you don't understand. It's one line, one when yes, and one line and then there's ten urinals about ten feet away. You gotta give the guys their space. If everybody does it, I've been a football game. No, not with that dirty hand. What I'm saying is if everybody picks a guy, if everybody like gets behind like two or three guys behind you, the minute you're like, that's not the way urinal line works. I've been the game of football games where it does. It's one lone they waste too much time. Hold on is one line and maybe ten urinals. So everybody stands back ten feet enough clearance, and then as soon as one guy disappears from one urinal, then the next persons. The problem if the door is by the right urinal and the left urinal is twenty ft, awakes the long line of urinals. That guy leaves, you have to walk twenty feet while you could have been being already. I don't want to hear about waiting for bathrooms. I've seen women. I've been. I've been in New York Jets games where women come into the men's room and turn around and sit in the urinal and being I've it. Yeah, I've used men's bathroom, so forore you had the urinal, But I have used men's bath and multiple yeah, and now they make that thing. What do you do? Have you seen the colonell when you have to have you first seen a woman's line? What do they say? Guys say? What do the guys say when they see you in their bathroom? Nothing? Especially at a sporting event, they don't care. I don't care. They do not care that and I half the time, here's the problem. And I have three daughters, So I'm telling you there's got to be a better way. When you bring your six year old seven year old daughter into the men's room a sporting event, and you don't want to bring her into the to the to the toilet with you because you're pooping. You can't leave her out there to just stare at everybody. But they do that, some guys do in stadium bathrooms. I don't, but I've seen dad's do it when Here's what I did though, when I used to that for home. Sometimes you can't see. Sometimes you can't. When I when I used to bring my let's say six five five and under, and I would throw my my daughters into the men's room if I had a pee, I would throw them over my shoulders so their head was behind me, so like their feet were towards the urinal, and I would pee and they couldn't see anything I had to pee. Wow, I thank God for great plumbing. I have great plumber. I I I My timing is I don't. I don't make sure that I'm not anywhere near having to poop any time that I'm in the middle of the day. We're um anywhere in public. But sometimes it happens. Man, one time at Chucky Cheese, were at urinals, and uh, the guy had his daughter at the urinal and he's like, just stand there and don't look at daddy. So I was next to him. So she looked at me. Daddy's dump. So no at the urinals. Oh, here comes Jake. Maybe, so you can't. You have to have daughter etiquette when you take your kid to ah, well, you can't come. She's all Ricky right now, Jake, she's cheating on you with our podcast. Did you did you turn on her microphones? Yeah? By the way, let's say this, Ricky's turned on Ricky's ready to go microphone. He's the only one that mattered, is what it came down the microphone Ricky's talking into is the exact mix we have to We have a guest waiting, so thanks for making her. Wait, who's your guest? It was a diamond our phone producer. Oh, Sam, producer Sam. They definitely don't care. Yeah, guys, what episode did you just finished taping? One's a lot of episodes, huh. Some of them are like thirty five minutes. Some of them are an hour, just departing minutes. Huh. Wow. If we did that for Brooklyn boys, people would like kill us. They're like they would, Well, you need to think about the fact when you're twenty somethings, you don't really have much time. I heard I heard I heard on episode seventy eight, you guys were naked? Is that true? I heard that they did the show naked on sent all right, So so I needed your opinion on that, right, that wasn't crazy? No, you're not. I got I got one more. I need your opinion on. I told you last last episode about our listener Kim and her cousin, and so I said something to my friend Rob. We were hanging out with these two girls, and I said, you know what, We're going to dinner tonight, I'm gonna go switch. I was wearing shorts, of course where the Bahamas. I said, I'm gonna put on my long pants for dinner, the long pants. Right, so she's like long pants? Who calls them long pants? I go, I'm wearing shorts, So it's a long long pants. There's nothing wrong with that, Like, no, they're just pants. I said, yeah, but wait a second, so I said that's I said, yes, if you think about it, I think I was gonna say, okay, but pants, you can wait? You go with cargo pants? Right? Does a pant? But are shorts? Pants? Shorts are not pants? But the shorts and short shorts sorts but the short for short pants, correct, but we don't call them that when you when you say shorts, you when you say pants, you're assuming long pants. I would never think that anyone's wearing shorts if they say pants ever. Right, Well, but but but girls wear booty shorts. Right. But if if you said I took her pants off, you wouldn't say I took a short shorts off. You are like a girl. We're like, hey, I took her pants off in like an hour. You wouldn't say I took her shorts off, would you shorts? Yeah? Anyway, The point was I said long just to to let him know I was going to change into the reasons one of those things that are just acceptable for we don't know why, like water ice. That's that's stupid, Like water ice is except redundant it is. But then again, so is long pants. Now, so it's the same thing. You're actually, Hey, here's the thing you're arguing with yourself on the same exam. No, no, no, no, I'm not I'm not calling them. I'm not calling him pants pants. I'm not calling him can't be on two sides of the same argument, because plants, because water ice is redundant, because ice is made of water. Dry ice is something else. Don't don't tweet me. So then long pants is redundant by that same logic because it's pants, but it's long pants. What if I what if I was what if I was wearing like capri pants? Capri pants is a descriptor or like what would you call those pants that like a three quarter pants? Like the skater pants? Nah? You see, here's the problem is Broder. You can't have it both ways, and you're trying to you're trying to argue. But I wasn't calling them long pants as much as I was trying to explain I was changing. If I had said I'm gonna put pants on, I know somebody would have been like, you already wearing pants, asshole. So I was just like to settle. I was like, I'm gonna put my long pants on. I listen, I'm okay with long pants. I'm okay with what you said. But but by that logic using the same analogy, then you have to accept water ice and white milk no water. I know, because it's the same analogies because milk is just milk. Pants can be long or short, and they could be they can be cut offs. They can be three quarter, so your pants can be shorts, and then in that case there's shorts. So if you're saying that pants can be long pants, which I agree with, there, then there's then what are you looking up? Hold, I'm looking men's pants, and I understand that I'm with you. It's okay to say long pants. It's okay, I'm putting on long pants. But if you're gonna be there, if you're gonna be team long pants, then you gotta be team water rice and you gotta be t be team vanilla vanilla white milk. No, definitely, not white milk, because that's that's that's not the same thing, because chocolate milk would be saying but chocolate not cargo pants. That's like because you're saying it's something other than pants. Hold on, because it's it's something other than milk, chocolate milk, cargo pants, milk. But there's other kinds of pants. If you say pants, that doesn't mean just pants. It could mean any kind of pants. But long pants are already assumed, are they? Yeah, what if I wanted, We'll put on my three quarter like skater pants or my like you know, there's different lengths old. Let me see what I'm looking at. Hold on, This is one of those things where your iron argue in one direction for this example. But when we give you other examples, like water ice and white milk, you don't. You don't accept that it's the same in no water ice, take that off the table. Why Because water ice is redundant. Ice is water that's redundant. That's a different thing. It's not a good analogy. Hold on, I'm looking at milk. Hold on, hold on, um, alright, we're looking. I'm looking at American Eagle dot com. They have shorts jeans pants, but the shorts jeans are a fabric, a specific fabric of long pants. Genes are assumed to be long, and the fabric is that denim style pants can be a different fabric, but they're long. Okay, Express calls them long pants. Right, Well, I'm okay with it. I'm just not okay with you taking your ship on white milk then, because it's the same logic. It's the same logic because milk. Milk is the base. It's a base. Every it's milk comes out of the cow. It's milk, right, Jeans don't come out of a cow, as as long fans not long, do't come out long. My head hurts. Can we take a reset? You gotta reset this. We'll be right back after this scary Okay? So are we? Are we? Okay? Now? Will we better? Because my head still hurts from that last segment? Well, you know what I think, I'm my throat hurts from the Idaho people that they they were so far back. Um, Facebook Messenger is the devil because um, my mom is She's on Facebook all the time, and she'll spread these stories in instant Messenger and and and a lot of these a lot of I love, I love the our elders, I love the people. But that these generations will take a story that they see as fact and just spread it all over the place. Yeah, I've noticed that with the internet these days. Yeah. So my mom, she she has a group text going with me, my brother, and my sister. It's called all my Children all right, so it's kids. So she's like, you guys, you guys, did you know that there are these stripes on the bottom of the toothpaste tube and that they all correspond to different things? And I'm like, get the hell out of here. She goes, Yeah, she goes, If it's a black stripe at the bottom of the toothpaste tube, it means it's made of pure chemicals. If it's a red stripe, it's natural plus chemical composition. Right. If it's a blue stripe, natural plus medicinal, and if it's a green stripe, it's all natural. And I'm like, you gotta be kidding me. First of all, why would they Why would that be the rating system? Right? Black? Red, blue, green? And then oh, you're saying it's pure chemical. So you're admitting that your toothpaste is all chemical. So I knew that that I smelled bullshit a mile away. So there's this website we like to go to called Snopes snopes dot com. If you type in anything in Snopes or any story or urban legend that you might have seemed to be smelling bullshit on. And by the way, they're not a sponsor. Uh, you could get the truth right there. And of course Snopes cleared it up in a second. What what it is is? The black, the red, the blue, the green stripe is nothing but a left over. Uh. It's kind of like an old relic from UM when when um giant masses of machinery would print labels on things. The stripes were coding for where the last the last tube ended and the new tube began. It was like a visual it was like a light it. We used to go over a light sensor because that's what they would make the cut mark for the next the next piece. So if you're making five hundred thousand tubes of toothpaste in the olden days, and some of them still do this, in this machinery, it has it's it's it's perforated by light sensor. So the perforated, perforated, perforated, perforated by light sensor. So the blue of the green, the yellow we indicate cut, he cut. That's all the strip means. It has nothing to do with Oh no, no, no chemical knock knob Crest wants everyone to know they're nothing but chemicals. So I said to my mother, I copy and paste of the Snopes stories in ma. Look like, why are you spreading fake stories around? Well, speaking of fake stories, if I can just speaking of Snopes, don't get into political shot. No, no, I'm not going into political. I'll tell you what. What I'm gonna say is it's the third cousin of politics. But I'm not gonna talk politics. Snopes is a great resource to find out what bullshit is. But if you love bullshit and you believe the bullshit, there are people now who think Snopes is bullshit. Get out of here. Yeah, there's people who think Snopes is a it's run by the political party they disagree with, really to make their theories look bad. As far as I know, Snopes is an independent thing and they're just there to like clear up a lot of and most of it is not political. It's mainly ship like my mother's passing, right, But let's hear about that. But let's say let's say there was a rumor that everybody knows this story that such and such politician did this. You hp that into snops, right, and it's not true. You want to snopes snow go. This is how it got started, This is the truth behind it. Here's videos you can watch. People don't but there's people who go. You watch. Go search for Snopes is bullshit or Snopes is corrupt on Twitter and you'll find people they're like, Snopes is just run by those people that the fool my people. But no, it's a it's a don't be website that does a good thing. Yeah, they really are there to clear up a lot of crap, and a lot of people brody and scary have brought into the Snopes conspiracy website. Whatever anyway, anyway, I use it for toothpaste urban legends like that when my mom is starting on fun shit. Yeah, you want to show the old folks that they're wrong. It's a it's a good website. Now, I know there's something eating away at you. Um yeah, there is something. Uh you ever have just an experience where you're sitting next to people on a plane that are just so fucking stupid. I mean every time I fly. All right, So I'm coming home from from Florida a couple of weeks ago, and you always upgrade your seats, right, I pay for the upgrade. It's worth every penny, Okay, just to stick stay away from people like you're about to describe. Well, no, no, no, no no. So I was on American Allianes. It's a new plane, really new. You could tell like it looked different at different. They have new plane smells, yeah did it? It felt like it's only like a year or two old. So when I looked at the map of the seats, I wanted a window seats. So I upgraded my I chose a window seat, and then I thought, there's like first class, and the first row behind first class on most older planes is that row where you have extra room the bulkhead. Yeah, and then in front of you is what a wall? Yes, where you could put your feet up. Okay, on this plane, it's so new that the only thing between So I upgraded the nineteen dollars whatever it was to get to the front row of regular class. Yeah, I like that right now. I already knew what the problem was, which I normally don't go to. That is that you don't have the tray in front of you because there's no seat in front of you, but you have the tray in your arm and your armrest, and it always comes out. Well, here's the problem. It always comes out, never flat. It always droops. It always droops to the plane. It drooped a little. That's not my complaint. So problem I complaint is that you know what's separated me and the row in front of me, the same exact leg room. Oh, there was a first class seat right in front of me, right with no curtain. No. So above above us from the ceiling was a curved plastic little arch that was like showing this this pointing down, this is where you are not supposed to go past, like almost like you were in first ask you kind of like right there, well, but you aren't. So and so where I was sitting three right and not eating right, So three across right in front of me is two across, two bigger seats right in front of me with a giant center console in front of me. It looked like a car. It looked like it was in the back seat. They really don't waste any space. So as the woman is taking the order of the people in front of me for their free meal and alcoholic beverages, I'm right there. I'm a foot away from her, staring at heart like, oh, I'd like something to eat, Like wouldn't mind something fulfilled. So she takes the curtain and she pulls the curtain across. But the curtain only covers the aisle. But you can still stay here because there's no bulkhead. There's just the seats, so you can still see in the first class, which is the ultimate fucking tease. It's like, look at what you don't have. That's like the the joke about what you know what is a uh pizza boy have in common with a gynecologist. They they they see the box, but they can't eat what's in it. Right. They could both, they could both have a sniff, but they can't eat it right, what's in the box. So that's part of what that's what you called Ricky a spinner. So that's not my biggest problem. So so, first of all, few American airlines, because I understand what you were trying to do. But you say like they got an extra row of seats in by not putting a bulkhead. But in the picture online, the drawing of the plane, it has the extra leg room. So maybe I got an extra six inches of leg room, but I didn't have that where you can get up and walk. Well, you don't have to make anybody get up to go to the bathroom. Right when you're by the bulkhead, there's so much room you can stand up and walk out of your seat. I thought that's what I was paying for, so I was going to complain, but I didn't. Now here's where it gets gets funny. I'm by the window and these two good looking young twentysomething Abercrombie and Fitch looking Swedish guys who speak perfect English get on the plane and sitting next to me baseball caps. They have that look like they're in Abercrombie Fitch models. Okay, so we're in the front rower coach and as I told you, there's no tray to put things down on. Okay, now I know it's in the armrest, So I take my tray out of the armrest and I put it out, I opened it. I put my iPad down to watch, uh my, my Netflix shows that I have on the watching carbon your Enthusiasm. You're funny. No, no, it's not that kind of rant yet. So I'm watching Umbrella Society right, good, good team. I'm still not done with it. It's good. I think I'm up to episode seven. So I'm watching that and the two guys are looking at my tray and they see that I have a tray that I'm watching on my tray. So they're looking at the backs of the seats in front of them to try to get the tray right, even though clearly the arm is coming out of my arm rest. So they're looking for the tray there in your row there next to me. So wouldn't they have the same type of tray. So they're looking at the arm rest and they're they're they're hitting it and they're punching their own seats and they're now in front of us. There. I told you there was like a center console. On the back of the center console in front of us, there's little squares like design. There's the design of squares. They're pushing the squares that aren't buttons on the back of the seats in front of us to get the trays to pop out to put their their computers on. That's not where they come from. So that one guy says to the flight attendant when she walks by, uh, there. So then they pushed the reclimb button and their seats go all the way back right because they can't find the tray button. And I'm thinking to myself, I would tell them if they'd fucking ask me where I might try it. You didn't understand English. I heard them go no, because they were like vesdy button, you know, huge, huge luging. But they're like, he is the tray, right, yeah, he's got the trade. Don't have the tray whatever. Okay, So there I hear them say tray and they're looking at me looking at my tray and they're pushing the button. They're pushing everything the headphone jack that they can't figure out where the tray is. So the way the stewardess comes by the attendant massus massage polor whatever the fund those people are that work on the airplane that aren't the pilots and the co pilots and the navigator. They walked by the woman who was the first class snoot who closed the curtain, and they go, excuse me with the tray right right, And they're like unless she says what because she doesn't hunt upon't understand them, but if they're speaking English right but with an accent. So he points at me at the tray and he goes, he has a tray, where's a tray? And so she shows them where the tray is. They spoke English to the stewardess flight attendant. My question is why the funk wouldn't you ask me where the thing came from? Or look at my armrest Instead of pushing the chairs in front of us, they're pushing the squares and aren't buttons, and they got the second guy goes like like hold my beer, like I'll do it. He leans over and he pushes the same squares like the first guy wasn't pushing him right, Because you're menacing. That's why I am not. I'm I'm very welcoming. I'm a very nice guy. I'm a sweetheart. So my point is, ask a damn question. I would have told you where the armrest tray was. Getting back to my beginning point. For those armors trays, find a way to make them straight, find a way to have a support that slides out underneath and makes it level. They're always crooked. Don't tell me you had a straight one, because you're lying. You. But my point was they pissed me off. I was so ad at them the whole flight, and I was mad at the American Airlines, but not having a row, there was no space. You've never had that, No, you know I have had. I've had the sagging tray before, absolutely no. But I'm talking about the no room in front of you when you paid No, no, no, that's new to me. Yeah, I never had that. That's bullshit. Okay, you're right, milk, that shows like it's welcome. You've got mail. You can always email us at the Brooklyn Boys Podcast at gmail dot com. Uh. Christine Rodriguez says white milk. I had such a day. I have Dave Brody kind of day. First day off, I was doing Aaron stopped and got my daughter happy meal. First, he asked if I wanted white milk. I Elvis d rand him back and said, I'll have milk and apple slices. Thank you. Then I received my package from dswho in size four bucks actual shoe size three. I'd call and not only are the two days shipping me a new pair? I said, what else can you do for me besides this for my troubles? And I waited a week for shipping and now I have twenty dollars off my next pair hastag free dessert. Thank you, Slice for Life. She wanted to share. By the way, I assumed she copied and pasted that email into my d M. Yeah, how come you had extra words in that? I don't know? Yeah, because I I maybe I paraphrase. Yeah, you missed the word here. Now, Alicia Mantoni writes to us, you don't have this email, so you can't tell from paraphrase, So go fund yourself painful massages. We had a jake in here from twentysomething's last week with his mic not working, and he talked about his over zealous massage. Uh. So, she writes, after hearing about Jake's massage story, I just have to share my Thailand massage with you. Husband and I went to Fifi Island in March. That's Fifi Island. Uh. It was an absolute breathtaking place and we had a perfect trip except for one thing. We got seven dollar massages for our last night there, and my back still hurts. When we first got back, I was in such excruciating pain I could barely move. So next time I will pay the premium price for a legit massage. Love to both of you. Thank you, Alicia, she is team scary on that one. She's not chinsing out on a fucking massage because it's seven chin cheesy. Michael Wester sent us a note to our Facebook page. Uh that we are. We do have a Facebook page at the Brooklyn Boys, but we don't know Brodie. Brodie abandoned it in episode one. I want nothing to do with it. Uh. He's from at Dirty Mike and the Boys. Hey guys, sorry, no favorites here. I drive a tractor trailer at night By the way, you notice we have a lot of track to trailer listeners. Yeah, podcasts a perfect for truck I really are we keep them awake through the night. Anyway, I've been been listening to you guys for weeks now, and I've been dreaming of the Michael Rappaport episode for a while. So here I sit about to start my shift on episode forty five, knowing, damn well, I'm gonna make it to the Michael Rappaport episode and episode forty six. I am so pumped, beyond belief. I can't wait to catch up and hopefully here my email on the podcast. Keep doing what you're doing. So this guy has been anticipation and loving life. That's mine. You know what we should pull up to Michael Rappaport, Yeah, the greatest I We have a lot of I ds from celebs. I wanted it. We had a celebrity in today. I wanted to get an I D from But we all right, we'll use the Michael Rapport I D as we go to next. Well, you know who I met this week, Brian Adams. You're a fan of the eighties nineties singer. I mean, he's still relevant. But about sixty n Yeah, yeah, what about him? He sings a lot of songs. Is like everything I do, I do it for you was a massive hit Heaven here and where in Heaven? Yeah, what about him? He was here at light FM and Jamie, who is my co host a d Walkers and Talcus podcast, a new episode this week. Really, even though the show is on hiatus did a new episode. Very are you gonna do in that series? Ends? You? Guys can never get end? No, it's that well, there's any spinoffs. By the way, I had a Grammar police and number of TV sites. I'll get to that. Twin N G O that's t u A N N G one, n G O T one and G T one and g O n T one was his name. And he also emailed our Facebook page. Oh we're getting a lot of messages on the face. Have his phone number two if you want to call him. I want to say I love your podcast. I'm currently up to episode oh forty six. How about that A year about You're about a year away from hearing this. I also want to share my even as not even experience. My wife and I experienced the seating arrangement issue at a local Promenade, theater Promenade and fan Dango screwed up and double book our seats. We got refunds on our tickets and concessions, a one hundred dollar gift card, free jack and coke, and got the next showing although it wasn't an a C A c X even as not even although it wasn't a c X, I don't know what that means anyway, How can I keep this up? This is a powerful mentality, you guys, So they want to know how they can keep up free dessert in their everyday lives. Thank you, Juan Twin. Anyway, he wanted to share his free desert story with you. Alright, alright, Brennan, Oh my god. A third message came into our Facebook fan page Slice for Life, long time listener to The Big Show? Hey, could you grammar police? Uh, please explain the correct usage of A and an? Also the use of adverbs. People always say things like it hurt so bad, but shouldn't it be badly? Thanks for the laughs, Iraq, Yes, Um, it shouldn't be hurt so bad, it should be badly. You should always say l y at the end of it. Here's the problem it is, but you don't say goodly. So there are people. There are people that don't say badly because it hurt really bad. It really should be badly, it should be, but there is no goodly. So some people don't say hurt, but it would would be hurt so good. No, it's badly. It should be it hurts, so it hurts good, it hurts well, and it hurts good good and wouldn't be the right word. Um. You know the problem is you have to use adverbs, which modify the verb. Hurts is the verb or hurts the adjective I'm sorry the adverb is badly, like I run quickly, you don't run quick and with a and an if you always say you always add it always and when you start with a vowels or in America. So so it's if it's if I ate an apple because it's apple, you'd say a house, right, But if you'd say an honor, it's an honor to an honor, right, you know you not it's h and I appreciate that asking us. That's one of those. Another one you could google it. And why don't you teach? You teach that if we're starting that ship in the second. So if it's a E, I, O U and H. You always at the end for an yeah, based there might be one word that makes a strange why why no, no, No, you don't need to know a yellow pepper. You wouldn't say and yellow pepper. So a E, I, O U and H H is the trick. Yeah. There might be other examples, but those are mostly Yeah. It's just because H in honor, you don't say the H. It's ah, right, But if it's if you wouldn't say a house, right, So sometimes H you sometimes H and any Okay, you only say the at the end. But if the letter okay, hold on a second. If the word starts with a letter that is silent, then in that case it depends what the next sound is. If it's pterodactyl, it starts with a silent P. But if you don't say and pterodactyl N just confusing, it is confused a knife. Well I have if you wanna do some more grammar, I got some grammar ship you got grant police? Yeah, all right, you give me the jingle police Gramma, Policema, policema police. I got one for you from desrie dido or daddio. She says, Hey, Brodiant, scary. Sorry scary. Last time I emailed in, Brody pronounced my name correctly, So it's Brodiant scary slice for life here in Connecticut. Uh sent us in about four years ago. I took this picture at my local Duncan Donuts. However, I couldn't help but notice that it actually said the following. And she sends a picture of the sign of Duncan Donuts and it was just Duncan Nuts was out. That's not really a grammar police. That's just his stackle. Yeah, and I was speaking of grammar police. I want to just remind people again. If I make a type A on Twitter, it's not a grammar police thing. No. I know that the G goes after the end, but sometimes I type fast and I typed like running and I put like g N at the end. Yeah, I didn't forget that it's spelled energy. Okay, you have like grabbit police, right, So I'll give you a couple of short ones and a long one. I was driving to the airport in Miami and there was I guess it was a car stereo place playing off the toys r US right the place. You can look this up. It's called sound our us. No no R is plural, even if it's just the letter R. It's that sound our us, sound our us no sound is us. That's so, where was this Miami got like between the airport, Like somewhere between the airport and Miami. If you google sound r us if they're even listed on the internet, right, sound our us. So I'm calling Grammar police on sound r us. Maybe they should have gone sounds. But it wasn't like the s was scratched out. It was definite sound backwards our us. Okay, so funny. I love that The Walking Dead is it is a police Yeah, The Walking Dead has the original show, The Walking Dead has Fear the Walking Dead, and now as is next year is going to have another Walking Dead show, right, another spinoff. The first of all, if you're talking about Fear the Walking Dead, it's called Fear the Walking Dead. But if you're talking about the original show, you don't have to say the original Walking Dead. You just called the Walking Dead. It's like it's like c s I c s I sees Miami, s side New York. You don't have to say the original se s I. It's like it's also like, uh, you don't have to use the word for the number. Right, it's although it's letting you know it's gonna be every year. I get that. But it's like when you see the first one, like it's not Fast and Furious one, it's just Fast and Furious. Right. You don't have to say, oh, the Jaws one, because this thing is Rocky one. Just Rocky all right. So The Walking Dead as a third show coming out. So you don't know how many articles I see where they say, oh, they're gonna have a third spin off. Oh no, no, no, no, no, no spinoff. No no, but it's the second spinoff. It's the third show. It's the third it's the second spin off. Like it's the third spinoff. No, no, no, it's the second spinoff. It's like it's like if there's three movies like Rocky three. I know there's like seven or eight Rockies. I'm saying, you wouldn't say Rocky three is the third sequel. It's the second sequel. You see what I'm saying. Yes, no, I got you. Grammar Police now my last Grammar Police. I put it up on my Instagram at David Brody. But in case you haven't seen it yet, I called Major Grammar Police on Target and I looked it up. Walmart does the same thing, and I'm sure there's a store near you that does the same thing. It says rest is over the restroom. It says, please do not bring unpaid merchandise into the restroom. You've seen that sign, right, yes, of course, Okay, do not bring unpaid, unpaid merchandise into the restaurant. Now here's the problem. I tweeted here at Target, all merchandise is unpaid unless it has a job with you and it's getting paid. What you meant was no unpaid for merchandise in the bathroom. Also, once it's paid for, it's no longer merchandise. It's just your stuff, that's right. So you could you would say don't bring merchandise in, or say don't bring anything that's unpaid for. But unpaid merchandise means you're not paying its salary, right, you know? Id um? All right? And I think I think I gotta We'll do the rest of them next week. I got so many of that, Can I just one one? Will tell my grandmar police when the dingles playing. Yeah, I want to talk about a couple of pronunciation situation here, I do yours, and I got some pus, A couple of the many bad resumes in terms, It's just an email that came in from Michael Rebkowski, who was complimenting me about getting his name right on episode eighty. When I read the email, he said he was so shocked that you know, he I did a huggle a lot better than any one of his grade school teachers ever. Did He caught up to episode thirty two and then jump right to eighty to see if you guys would read my email and boom, you did fuck the Jersey kid hurd here for two seconds and wanted thirty seconds? Skimp? Can you imagine that the contempt for the Jersey kid? The contempt? Alright? So here is here? Are I want you to Here's this resume. I want you to read this one. Hold on? Ye okay, all right? Can we go to let's play the maca rapport thing and port jingle. All right, we'll be We'll be right back. What's up? This is Michael Rappaport and you are listening to the Brooklyn Boys podcast with Brody and Scary. I gotta do another fucking take because you guys can't figure out whose names should go first, Brody and scary. So why the fund do I gotta I gotta do two takes to me? All right, And this is Michael Rapport And you were listening to the Brooklyn Boys podcast with Scary and Brody. You know you know why it's brody and scary and not Scary and Brody because Scary didn't want me on his podcast. That you fuck you. It's brody and scary. That's the way it is. Okay. So it's a really quickly we're still did turn season. Yeah, which just a couple. You know, I'm hiring interns for the summer of nineteen and uh, I've got I've got this resume. Hold on, I want to give you some music for this. I got some I got some background music. I don't have to write a resume jingle. Yeah, why we have we have pomp and circumstance. I mean, that's fine, ultimate's fine. Here we go, go for it. So this one says I am a detailed oriented boy, detail oriented student. Already I have problems with this. She says, I would like to intern for Elvis Durend the Morning Show, because Elvis, Danielle and Gandhi stop right, there. She spelled Gandhi's name wrong. You're done. You're done. You can't be detail oriented and not only Look if you spell scary name wrong, I give you like terrible. But you still don't know the show. Right. Gandhi is a historical name, one of the most famous human beings ever to live. Gandhi. Look it up. Gandhi. You're out. This person disqualified spot, You're out. You didn't prove freed your own. By the way, I interviewed somebody. I got a resume yesterday. By the way. Uh, they're the editor of the school newspaper. They're the editor of a of another newspaper they worked for outside of school. They're the editor. They check for errors errors all over their cover letter. This person's name, I'm gonna call them Andy, Andy L period applicant. They used the form and left the word applicant for your like your name here, Hey, I got I got checking this. I'm gonna do one more quick. This person, I'm gonna say for her first name starts with our initials are r V. Okay. He wrote a really nice cover letter, right, and she addressed the top beautifully. Sumer internship. I heart media, But the names of our station. He put two different stations and neither one of them is our company. So she applied for w B L I and w B A B with the two stations we don't own in New York. How about this and she left it on her copy and paste. I want you to read just the highlight the part because it sounds really good. This is great, and you know what, this is a woman after my own heart, and will end on this. She she actually mentions my nay, she likes you got to read that. She's like, oh, she writes the whole big thing. And I desired. My desire to work in the music industry started when I was young, and I became very excited about the idea of working with your company. Listening to Greg T's topic train and Scary's beloved phone tap character Mr Michael Oppenheimer in my car daily right with my insert adjective here, adjective and adjective, I knew that I can be a valuable member to her team this summer. Oh, you are caught. This was another one of those form letters where they were like, Okay, insert your peral story, or this is when you get relatable, because you're gonna win them over. I guess what had that not been in there, like, oh my god, she loves us. She might have like she might be a fan of this job. She might have like fun, creative, but for a different job, hard working and studious. Right, but she says she changes out her adjectives, but by you know what. But she at least knows she mentioned your phone tap. That's why you're like, come on, we gotta hire her. Come on. At least she knows the show. She couldn't bullshit phone tap and and greg Te's topic train. Let me tell you something. First of all, the rest of the cover letter is a generic bullshit. It doesn't mention our show at whatever. It's all blah blah blah, YadA, YadA YadA. So she copied and pasted a small little part and there whatever hers her favorite parts of the show, and one of them is what happens when I'm part of Yeah, but she didn't mention me. Here's the that would have changed over the summer. I get like two thousand resumes if I have a choice between someone who wrote a perfect cover letter, had a great interview, and as college radio experience versus someone who likes your phone taps and then leaves. But you're making it a content an insert adjective here, you're making it a contest. It is a contact. Every job is a contest. But no, but what if she's got better character and charisma than someone that you hired? Well, no, you know she may not have Listen, this girl may not have character in charisma, but I'll tell you what she does have. She has adjective and adjective. You're poor a little bitch. No, no, she's not a don't say that. That's you don't mean that. I feel terrible. Come on, give her a second chance, Okay, come on, Nope, please, no, goodbye? I said prude. A lot a lot of people would have forgiven her, but I can't because you. Chris from Brooklyn Boys eight
