Speaker 1: Start up, dot up, start up, Brooklyn Boys. Hey, this is Jim found here listening to the Brooklyn Boys. They're making noise found dot up episode seventy This is the Brooklyn Boys podcast. This is a historic episode seventy five. I mean there are three in a row, seventy five. Now, we mentioned last time that episode zero technically made episode seventy four seventy five. Discount that. Yeah, we're gonna call it seventy five even though it's number seventy six right now. Disclaimer, I'm gonna make a disclaimer here, a couple of disclaimers. Well, first, the first disclaimer is we're not in that regular studio and I'm sitting on the opposite side of the board again. I'm running ship, which is great, which is really good. Now, so this is I wanted to break. This is how you know I'm running the board. I got called out episode seventy four because Scary slipped in to sponsorship mentions and I didn't catch it. So hold on, now, it's too late. It's too late. It's too late. No, I owe you too with him. Here's the other one. Wasn't until our very sharp as attack Slices for Life pointed it out on Twitter that you were asleep at the wheel. In fact, I did it again and went in and double dipped because you weren't listening the first time. And I said into the microphone, I said, this guy's not even paying attention. I'll do it again and you and you weren't paying What were you doing? Well, well, I was talking a couple of things we had. I was trying to go through my phone and get stuff for the for the podcast on we ow an apology sort of because last week on episode seventy four, it was a free for all. Okay, we got the hold on. We had we had great Tea come in and once again try to become part of the podcast as the Jersey kid. Not gonna happen, don't get stressed, don't. People tweeted at me, and people are extremely upset a Jersey kid. Possibly we're talking about too much. We're talking about too much. Move on, not gonna happen, never gonna, never gonna happen. Okay, I was. I was trying to be nice to him because he was here. That's why I was. Okay, Yeah, we had, we had, we had the co host of the twenties something that's Doing Nothing podcast, Jake and Richie, Ricky the Fun and then out of nowhere, Babe Rexa shows up and comes onto the podcast and Spruce Stop Spruce was king. By the way, that's sp r u Ce. Someone asked me if it's Bruce is no Spruce Spruce on the loose, And sometimes he walks down the hall and I and I love when he comes, and we didn't plan it. Now we're in a different studio and he doesn't know it. So if he walks down the hall with the windows, he's not gonna see us, so he's not coming in my guests. But if he finds us, then I'm suspicious he wants to be that's correct. So a couple of people, plus he doesn't know we werecord on Fridays. Today. This is Friday. By the way, apologies, I have a cold slash possible loue building and yesterday I was out of it. I'm glad I'm standing directly in front of you for this. So that's why we didn't do the podcast. On Brooklyn Boys Thursday, a lot of people texted into the Alpstra in morning showing like, hey, whoa, it's Brooklyn Boys. Thursday. It wasn't so anyway. Another disclaimer, So you if you look at our podcast, we always say listen in order, and we'll reference the episode number. Sometimes, oh listen episode seventy one, or my mom's favorite episode is episode Okay, we're not gonna change the old episodes. But we got a big letter from corporate. Oh god. Not only was it a letter, it was reiterated twice on a conference call. Jeesus. So if you know anything but not go not boring you, but if you know anything about algorithms and search results and functionality of search engines, there's gimmicks, right, So when you search on Google, well, if you search on Bing you get different results. There's reasons for that. And if you are on Instagram, certain people come up on your Instagram and different orders than other people. And if you post on Facebook, your posts come up differently than other people's posts. It's all algorithms and what words you use. So the experts, the podcast scientists, have told us, now, I want to know what a podcast scientist looks like. Uh, he only lasts like an hour and then he comes around once a week. So he they they the podcast experts have said, don't put the number in the description, like don't call the episode seventy five dash Scary and Brody bubble. So if you notice on this episode, you're not even gonna see the number seventy five in the title. So they want our names first, or if we have a guest come in like last week, should have said bb REXA stops by this so that people searching for baby rex so will find our podcast. Plus the Jersey Kid that I'm not putting in the title. No one searching for the Jersey Kid. And not that we don't love great team, but is that that name isn't a real thing. So yeah, so so now we gotta make some choices and difference. Now we're not going back and changing the other ones. But look in the description going forward and if you're if you're caught up and you us in order, then you know you'll just know. I have to listen to the latest episode. But if you want to go find one, if you write down my favorite episode is eighty seven, you better write down what happened in eighty seven, so you look for keywords. Okay, this is driving Brodie crazy. It's crazy because I like the numbers right, and we want you to listen in order so you can know the numbers. But you'll get that in the description. Listen order. Okay, just that little bit, we'll play the rest. Yeah, we don't. We don't have any time. We were told so many things. We were giving new guidelines for podcast. We have to speak in the whole world. They said, Greek accents work really well. Speak a Greek guy. I'm not doing that well. Um. I was over the weekend. I was in Bay Ridge in Brooklyn, went back to our hometown Brodie, where you know it bears the name of this the title of this podcast. Boys Now. Bay Ridges is where the Verrizano Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in America, touches down. We should have been called the Verezano Bay Ridge because it connects to bay Ridge Ridge, Yeah Ridge. So I said, you know what, I think I'm gonna switch things up. I'm gonna go to dinner in Brooklyn tonight because normally I'm in Manhattan, right And I'm like, wait a second, I'm not. We're not the Manhattan Boys. Actually, my girlfriend just pulled me by the hair and said, fuck you, You're staying in Brooklyn tonight. So we're staying in Brooklyn on your head. Yeah all right, yeah, so what's this restaurant? And Brodie, I think you could appreciate it was great. It was beautiful Italian restaurant. Not gonna give the name. Problems problems. They were problems because it was a sponsor. You'd mentioned it. No, because I'm about to rail on the Okay, I don't want to. I don't want them to, you know, I don't want to send their people. You know, I don't need an aluminum bat over over my fucking kneecaps. But it was a beautiful Italian restaurant, Bay Ridge, and the food was great, had awesome reviews, had been there once before, awesome reviews on Yelp was the gat Gats No fuck Yelp. Yelp don't give you real reviews. They give you just complain. People like you so who rate the food when you don't get the right amount you put Parsley and you're fucking complained on Yelp about one restaurant I was in. Yeah, but I did it. While I was at the table, they came up to me and said, excuse me, we just saw your review on you are They said, had we known there was a problem I'm the manager. I'm so sorry. We're gonna take off. We're gonna take off that. They took the meal off. I like that, So I took the bad review down. I feel like I sold my soul. I feel like they did that to a lot of people as a way of right. But I know I don't. I was so mad. It was such a bad experience. My wife actually said get him. Well, that's a great experience. And they had a live lobster tank there. I'm like, oh, look at this, that's temporarily live lobster tank. Yeah, pretty much. Actually there, I guess it would be in the holding pen to be killed. There's not suicide. It's actually our death row. A lobster tank. Hey, I got selected guys right back, Yeah, right back from the ocean. Oh no, no, you're in that tank. You're you're ready to be a executed. Have you ever have you ever cooked your own live lobster at home? My parents have. They have a giant lobster pot. It's like eight ft high, tall, off the off the floor. It's crazy. By the way, every time you say lobster pot, it reminds me how you frock blocked me back in the day. That was the whole other story where we getting sidetrack door. I know, but you and I used to. So I had this shirt that I got I think an American ego maybe well old davy a chain and it was a purplish maroon shirt and it said something like like a fake lobster pot company, you know, like lobster Pot, lobster Pot, and so like I wore it once and then a couple of weeks later, scary ward and I was like, that's my shirt. You're like what you played like you didn't know? And so then for months I was like you woll the and everyone admitted I had it first. But then I don't want to wear anymore because you want my lobster frock block? Do you frock blocked me? What's a frock? It's a type of shirt there it is. Okay, remind me to tell the lobster pot story, because I once brought a live lobsterm but didn't know it. Okay, well the lobster Okay. So so we we sit down, we we order our food, and all of a sudden I'm looking at my girlfriend and there's this hellish glare over her face. I'm like We're in a quiet it's not quiet. We're in Italian restaurant. And then lighted down low and I just see this. I see this awful whitish glow and I turned back and is a big screen TV that's on? I'm like, really, it's Saturday night at ten o'clock class the Italian restaurant. You had candles on the tables, and some Jamocha asked to put the fucking TV on. I later found that out way. Jamaica could not be more of a Brooklyn insult. Jamaica is like fucking moron. It has nothing to do with Jamaica. It's jam jama or Jamaica. It's a big Some do fish at the table a couple of tables away from me wanted to look at the screen and not his wife or a girlfriend or whatever. So he's like, put on that. But not only did it kill the ambiance? So what was it? Was just like a TV shows a baseball game? What was it? Well? I mentioned this on the Big Show. You might have been out of the room or I'm playing a lot, or that it was a fucking UFC fun that's the story I did. I did remember that you did say that story I was, I didn't remember what I do uca. There was a guy that there was and they were bleeding and they were gaging each other's Sure it wasn't marion Iri sauce. Well that's the problem. The very next thing that showed up was Ravioli's with tomato And I'm sitting there with tomato sauce and I'm looking at the tomato sauce that I'm looking at the TV screen and his bloodle over the ring. What kind of idiots are you in this restaurant? You fucking morons? You're you know if you were. I'm not saying many restaurant owners listened to the show, but if you got a Buffalo Wild Wings, you expect sports on the TV. It's a sports bar, beer and wings. It's a l house. It's that it's pub grob. When you're going to a nice Talian restaurant where you're paying a premium, or any kind of restaurant, there's a there shouldn't be TV and shouldn't be full contact beating each other upright, Yes, they shouldn't have like anything like that on. I'm like, I'm like, is nobody is? Where is the ambience? Fairness? Where in the places defense. You went to an Italian restaurant in bay Ridge, right, because so like you know our old neighborhood, that makes sense in that neighborhood, it does, even though it doesn't. These people don't have sense and they don't have no couth, because any other restaurant in any other city, what would have been worth watching UFC or like saw, like a bloody horror movie. Even none of it, dude, all of it, it's all terri was like a romantic movie, like a rom com or a telenovela or something like, which further explains and paints the picture that if you're going out to dinner on a Saturday night and you're paying a premium, which a lot of times if you might be, you're paying for the entire experience, the atmosphere, all of it. And so and then there was just this awful rock music playing out of one speaker that you could barely hear. It's like, either give me music or don't give me down at any point where there people on your on because he sounds to say, I'm an old man. It sounds like you're like and then there was this rock music. It was killing the mood. I like cool music interest, but you know what the hip stuff work on your lighting. Do you think you're cool? Yeah? You do. I think I'm I don't think i'm I don't think I'm not cool, Okay, because I'm gonna call you out right now. I'm gonna call you out because Gandhi from the our Ela Straight Morning Show, she sent you a text message and said she was pissed from the jump, and you said you're reading it to me, and you said it must have ort to complete it all because it was it was actually she meant stark, but it wrote jump and I had to explain to you that from the jump means from the start. Okay, So you're not cool, all right? But had I try to use the word jump you can, you would have accused me of trying to trying too hard. So I can't wait. I know that agua's water, right, most people in America should know that the word agua's water. But I don't use in a sentence. I don't say, hey, excuse me, waiter, can I get some agua? I don't do that. But you just said I'm not cool because I didn't use the words. I'm saying. If you don't know that that Agua's water. I would say you're probably you're probably a little less educated. I'm saying you're not cool if you didn't know that from the jump, that's like he is old already from the jump. Yeah, like, oh man, he was on her from the jump. Because anybody listening here, heard of the people listening that didn't know that. Don't pretend to be cool like you you're you're in the scene, you're clubbing, you're out there. So from the jump, So where does it is it come from the streets? Does it come from us? You know it comes from like uh, you know, b hip hop? Okay something Spruce might say he would understand that. Spruce probably wouldn't. He might, but I don't think he would, but he might, Okay, but he knows what it is. But if I tried to use the word you jump all over me, I could call him from the jump. Anyway you try, you're gonna use that in like five years when no one is saying from the jump, you're gonna use it you always do? That would be you still say stupid, fresh and dopey. Right yeah, right, all right, So so I agree with you that tack he awesome this on. What Brody do? Now? I know what I did. I would ask the manager to change that. Well, we we told them, we said could you could you? Could you shut the TV? And then he went to go the way they went to shut the TV. UFC, you fucking change that, right, But then five minutes later the major D comes with the remote. It's like, oh my god, someone turned off the TV. I better turn it back on. We're like no, and and so like, why would the major D who's in charge of the restaurant. Don't they see these things? Don't they see that? Don't they understand that it's a whole experience when you go out to eat. They don't understand it. They don't get that. Okay, Well, anyway, as it turns out, it was some little kid at the table like three tables away who shouldn't have been out that I saw. I'll give you a similar story, but not exactly the similar. That's similar, but not exactly the same. Uh. In our old neighborhood and Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, well we grew up, there's a pizza place I used to go to several and now but there's one specifically and there's a TV on the wall and every time you go in there, day and night, you're going if a launch dinner or whatever. He's got on one of the three major cable news channels, the one I don't watch. Okay, okay, because I that one is one I don't agree with, and it's I find it to be completely horrible and biased. If you guys know what I'm talking you watch it, God bless you. That's not my point. So part of it is I don't want to see it when I go in there, I don't want to hear the news. I don't want you biased TV on because it's freaking biased. But that's not the point. He yells at the TV the whole time you're in there. Oh, he's yelling at the TV. Yeah, so this is the network. Like it's like watching news wrestling, where like they get you amped up with conspiracies and anger and venom. It's not like a real news channel. It's like watching wrestling with guys wearing suits and women would yeah anyway, they're all blonds anyway, So if you like it, God bless you, that's not my point. My point is, while you're trying to order a slice of pizza, he's yelling about yeah, yeah, son of a bitch, you know. And he's and he's I don't want to get any he gets political, right, he's like, you know, slamming east this this side of the aisle. It's like that guy's a son of a bitch, and this is what's wrong with America. And I'm like, can I just get a Sicilian slice? Now? Have you decided maybe not to go in there? Moved out of the neighborhood, and I don't have I don't go back there a lot. He's a problem though. The food is really good, Like you know, if some pizza places make Italian food have a menu, the chicken palm is excellent. So I've gone in there with like like I I put headphones in sometimes, but it's it's not the it's not the TV. I can almost tune out the cable news. It's just like out of the corner of his earie here's something. He goes out. You don't need that, right, that's another Ambiance record. And you know there's another sandwich shop in benton Hurst. Funny how this is all taking place in Brooklyn, by the way. Yeah, it's uh once again, I just mouthed it to Brodie, But hold, okay, okay, So a Saturday afternoon in that place, I'm ordering I want to fucking meatball palm or a Rose Special. All of a sudden I hear that I'm looking up at the TV and they got a fucking mob movie on. Apparently. I go to Yelp after that. It was on the whole movie in our neighborhood, right. I go to Yelp, and several people yelpers complained that every time they go in there they can't bring their kids because there's always a mobster movie of some sort on that they're running off of Blu Ray or something. You can't have that in the sandwich shop on a Saturday afternoon. You can't be showing scarface or or Carlite those way, or you know, any of the Joe Pesci de Niro ones, or you know what I'm saying. It sounds like they should probably attemper that they probably shouldn't show that ship. I mean this again, I say our neighborhood. They don't give a fun don't give a zero five stars right there. Oh, I get us. I get a roast peave sandwich and a free movie is great. Yeah, but that's unable to dude, I can't believe it. If you were in in a different name, you on the opper east Side, you're like Chelsea, Tribeca, Manhattan, you're in a nice area in l A or whatever. No one exercises self aware. You're in small town, Alabama, quaint little town where everybody knows everybody. That's probably not gonna happen, but our neighborhood it happens. And speaking of pizza, do I go into this now? Can I tell my lobster story? Tell you a lobster story pizza, because because we're on the track of pizza, also on the scary Yeah, yeah, go go. I'm out of breath. So this is many years ago. My wife and I had just moved into our first townhouse together and she says, one night, you know what, let's do a lobster pot. Like, let's get up, hi guys. Is a tour going by, and we're like, they're doing the fish pole thing with us anyway, So let's get a lobster pot. Go to the supermarket, go to the fish counter asking for a lobster pot, and we'll cook it. It's got pot, a dose and scallops and the lobster I'm like, oh, great, no problem, all right. So I get a call from the Jersey kid. So I get this gold tin. If you've ever seen like the containers that ice cream is in, or like you, they take them in the run out of ice cream and they pull that thing out and it's like five gallons, it's around, it's a cylinderous. So this thing is gold with a gold lid. And I noticed this little holes punched in the top. So I figured, oh, when you steam it, the steam will come out. This is great. So they just say, oh, put on the stove for a half hour or whatever. They were potatoes in it, the lobster pot. What did they say in the in the in the in the ad it said full lobster bake ready to go. Oh god, clams the whole thing. Anyway, these people are not taking our picture. Hi are you doing? Okay? Smiled, Okay, but that's well. We stopped. By the way, if we were alive on the radio, we wouldn't do that, but on the podcastes, so we did. We posted for the picture. We don't these people are I don't know if their fans are not, but they're getting the tour of the building. Their loving life right now. Okay. So the guy says to me, put it on the stove on high thirty five minutes whatever it was, whatever, Okay, great. So I I called my wife, Igo, I got it. I'm heading home. Great. So I get home. I put it on the stove and uh I let it sit there for I don't know, an hour because I know I wanted time it. She was getting home from work later, so she's like, yeah, five o'clock, turn it on. Okay. So around five o'clock I go to the stove and the cylindril thing sitting on the stove. I turned the heat on and I'm standing there and uh, I'm, you know, nearby, and I'm I don't know, cutting bread maybe or something. And all of a sudden, the lid gets starts coming off. I go, what the fuck? The lobster was alive? And I heat it up the water and the thing and it's I'm stealing this thing and it's alive and it's trying to get out, and I'm like, oh god, they didn't tell me it was alive. Oh no. So I had to like take like tongues and hit the lid down and turn the flame off because I didn't want to be part of this. I'm like, I'm not doing this. No that the lobster was brown like alive, and I'm like, I'm not doing it. No one told me. My wife didn't tell me. Nobody told me. The guy didn't say, like, bro, do you eat lobster regularly? Okay? Look, I eat hamburger, but I don't eat it on the rag on the rag from them, that's right from the jump. I eat a lot of food, but I don't kill it. I've never done that. I've never like, I don't know, So so I freak out. I call the supermarket. Why don't you tell me it was alive? Well, sir, you're not gonna cook a dead let's fresh. Well know when it told me it took the lid off by itself. So I closed the lid and I tell my wife didn't have rubber bands around its claw. Yeah, but it's still punched open like it was like boom boom boom, and it like took the lid off. Wow. And so my wife comes home and it's not cooked. She's like, what's why isn't dinner ready? Not mad at me, just like, well, I go, you're not gonna believe this. I didn't want to. I tried calling her, but she was in the tunnel. She didn't get my comes home and she said, what happened? I said, I think took the cover off. It's alive. Well, yeah, you're gonna steam in it. I'm not steaming it. The problem is it's not ready. It's still in there. It's in there alive. So she took the I was like, I'm going upstairs. I don't want to. I don't want to know. So I don't want I don't. I just want no part of it. And then I couldn't eat it because I saw it. I couldn't. I learned this from my local fishery behind the fish counter foods, actually, they said from the streets. So certain shellfish, especially deteriorate very quickly when they die. So that's why they keep them in the lobster tanks because lobster is one of those foods. So they gotta go from the tank right to the boiler and kill them right then and there, and and and then you get your lobster around them down. If it's not gonna be done that way, then when they do do that ahead of time, it goes right to the it goes literally, they kill it, cook it, and right to the freezer. That's what you get frozen lobs. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. They kill it and freeze it like they but it's gotta go um ice. It's gotta go into the freezer immediately. So that's why when you get your lobster tails in this you know you know there, Yeah, I understand, you know what I'm saying, But I didn't know. I don't want to be the guy to do it, and they should to do. They didn't warn me. I had no I look, I was naive. I was like, do do? I was like, not thinking about it. Yeah, it was a long time ago. I was like, you know, yeah, but that's unfortunately the food spoils extremely quickly. If you kill it and it's not frozen, it's gotta be it's gotta be less frozen or or steamed right away. So there you go. But uh, what about Uh you wouldn't talk about the pizza. Okay? You know what? You you have a sour look on your face because because you know, I have a son about the lobster. I'm just upset you're upset about the pizza. No, well, just keep going. I nothing. I don't want to talk about the pizza things. Maybe we'll do it some other time. I'm just I'll tell you what. Let's circle back, will put a pin in it, as they say, table back, circle back to it? All right, let me let me. I want to just give you a grief for one more thing. What else? What were we talking about? It was something where, oh, you said to me this phone tap. We were playing a phone tap on way back Wednesday or something, and you said, this phone tap hasn't aired since. And then you took your hand out and you went with your fingers. You counted from fourteen to nineteen. You needed to use your hand to count five. You couldn't do the math from four to nine. You couldn't do the math from fourteen times. Could have done it in my head. But what does it even? I don't understand when I hear the number four. I know that the five eagles nine, four, five is nine, seven to two is nine, six and three is nine is nine. They come together when you think of nine, when you think of seven, don't you roll dice? You're like seven, four, three, five and two or six and one? Sure? Yeah, yes, but it helps me for some reason, and I don't know why. And there must be people out there like me. I don't know. I know you you counted to five. There's got to be people out there like me who just naturally, from when they were a kid, just start counting on their fingers anyway, even though they know the answer. I think this is a non issue here, Brodie, it's an issue you're an adult. It's like people who have to make the L with their hand so they know which way left is. Oh yeah, they'll go. I've seen them so sometimes when I when I do intern interviews, when you come down the steps to go to the bottom floor where I do my interviews, there's a door and you have to open the door and go left and go left. And I always saw I opened the door for them and go make a left. I've seen them look down at their hands and go L. I feel like that's a strike against you, so they don't understand left is on your left on your body. There are people. Look, I never know, by the way, I didn't. That's a cool trick. I know you're listening. I didn't know that L. Yeah, the left forms and L. What's your point there? In your your index I don't know what's worse. I don't know if people what's worse is people having to use an L to know which way is left, or you're not realizing you can make an L. I didn't realize that that that's the way that people could remember it because I just remembered it right. Or if I remember, if I say make a right, they look and go, that's left. It's the other way. And some people I've met, if they turn around, they have to re establish which way is left. They think like if you turn around, the left is now the other if you play dizzy bat and then they left, like they forget the left arm is always know that the left arm is always the left arm could be a condition. It might be something like I don't look at my home. I look at this thing and I go left arm one word left arm? Yeah, no I know. Yeah. Oh oh, can I tell you remind me diet coke newise. Okay, now that's what I was saying it. Okay, that's okay. So people listening to this podcast, no that when I say right, order a drink, I ordered I always. The joke is one word dicog lice rose pokelom ineiventuals right, people that people are tweeting, they get it right. Okay, So lately my wife has said to me, like, you know what, sometimes we're out to dinner a nice restaurant, you complain too much. Sometimes well, sometimes she's like, no, sometimes I feel like you could not complain. If we're out to a nice dinner. It would be nice if you didn't complain. Sometimes I don't find fault. I'm like, listen, it's not my fault if they make a mess. Besides, I got a podcast to do any material anyway. So we we have this plan to go to dinner at this relatively fancy restaurant and do a concert. Last week we went to se Elton John So I'm thinking to myself, Wow, we haven't been out to a nice restaurant a while because of the kids, different things in our lives, and we're going to this nice restaurant. So I'm thinking, you know, if the waiter would bring me a diet coke with ice and I didn't get upset, that might be a good look for me, right, Like, don't get upset? Right. So I'm thinking, So I'm thinking of myself, should I should I call ahead or should I order my diet coke no ice, go to the bathroom, tell the waiter, hey, put ice in my soda. Anyway, just play along, Just put ice in my soda so that I cannot react. No, I didn't plan it. I'm I was. I was like for three, for like three or four days, thinking about dinner. I'm like, wow, it would be great if he brings me with ice, even though I said I that would that would actually illustrates himself restraint. But then I forgot all about it. We go to dinner, We go to a nice restaurant. My wife would as a glass of wine in the ways would you like to drink? And I say, uh, diet coke with diet PEPSI, no ice, no lemon. Just he goes great, no problem. So I'm thinking, Oh, then it reminded me of the thing, and I went, no, I'm not gonna get up and that that's you're not gonna plan it. If I want to show my wife, I'm cool. I'm gonna just be cool, be cool. That's fine. Hopefully they were dummies and they brought out the diet coke with ice, So the wine comes out the fancy drink. My wife wouded comes out and my glass at diet coke full of ice comes out. Of course, because seven out of ten times that I looked at it, I went, oh yeah, and did you then use that opportunity? You know what, this is a nice dinner. I'm not going to mention it. I'm gonna be better than that tonight. And I drank my my I drank a lot of it quick because the ice is gonna melt. It was a lot of ice, and so I got it down like halfway. And my wife's so she sees it, shows they put ice in your drink. And I said, yeah, she's well, why don't you send it back? I'm enjoying the meal. Okay, whatever. But here's the thing though, But here's the thing. I'm gonna say this, and I marked this episode, folks. Here's the Brody gets his very first diet coke with does not send it back. Okay, No, I want to make it. I want to make it. Admission here. I didn't do it to impress her because that was my next stage. I did it to see if I could do it and just accept sometimes when things go wrong. And I did. And although I didn't enjoy the diet coke as much. I enjoyed not getting upset with the waiter or whatever. While you're coming along here, Brod, don't worry. Don't worry. I'm going I don't win. So then when the waiter came back and my drink was like a third left because I couldn't take it anymore, was watered down, he said, could I get you to the drink? I said yes. I said, you know what this time, if you could bring it without ice, that appreciate it rather rather than saying, listen the last time, I asked, when the ice you gave me ice? If you could not be stupid? I was nice about it, like I got like I didn't ask the last time. Looks like even is even and you do not get free dessert. Uh no, we did know this was not the meal to do that. I was on my best behavior. There are other nuances and things you could have nitpicked that you could have gotten free dessert. No, it was they did really well. I had the best steak I've had since we went to Dolmonica. You're welcome, tremendous steak. We're gonna pay for last night's seak. You didn't pay for the Dominico. No, we had a really nice night. The point was, I know I told the guy no ice because everybody knows I ordered that, and yeah, now what if there were scallions and your food problem? Okay, so now so now fast forward. That was Saturday Sunday, my my buddy who doesn't pay me back for the ticket and got his car trash. He says no. He says, hey, uh, well no, he made up for the movie ticket. We went to the movies and he goes, I'll get the ticket because I stole you. He did pay me. He says, hey, let's uh we met at home depot, th we met a target and little shopping. Because let's go to the dinner up the road. We'll take two cars will drive over there. So I make a joke and I go, why don't you leave your car at Chili's And he's like, no freaking way, So because that's where you got the car hit. So we go to the diner and I took longer to get there, so I was going to text him, hey, man, order me a diet coke, no ice, so it's ready when I get there, because I'm it took me longer to get there, and I don't want him to wait. I figured this way, my sol will be ready, like yeah, I'll just order sort when I get there. So I get there and he's got this ship eating grin on his face. He's so proud of himself. I sit down in his TuS sodas sitting there because I got your diet coke, and I went, yeah, what did you do? Well, he's not my wife, so I said, so, I said, so, I said, I said, Jeff, you know I ordered ie cocon ice. My listeners know that. Oh right, yeah, that about that. So I say to the waiter, not his fault. Yeah, I said, hey, man, do me a favor. Um, Can I just get a glass with a plain empty glass so I could pour this out. I didn't want ice in my drink. My friend didn't know. He said, I'll take care of that for you. Okay, great. So he comes back with a glass of ice with a little bit of diet coke in it, and a glass of soda. So he poured or strained out the soda that was in the ice that was sitting in a ten minutes, so the glass of diet coke was watered down because it was sitting in the giant glass of ice. So my weekend of diet coke no ice completely ruined. But I was cool about it Saturday, but not with my friend. He knows better, and I'm gonna bitch in front of him. Next time. I'm gonna get you a fart water with no ice. Yes, I'm not drinking my saltz. All right, listen, we got a lot to cover still, I got nun used jokes. I got a lot of rants. You want to talk about the pizza, Yeah, let's do that. We'll do that coming up right after this. All right, pizza real quick. This has got you really upset, and I I gotta be honest with you. I'm not sure where I stand on this. I have to be honest. I see both sides. Well, okay, there's a there's a website called Eater e a T E R joke I didn't even know, and Eater New York is specifically the one I'm talking about now, This this um website. They were do reviews or they they're not supposed to do, they just they were. They talk about places and things that you know, food news, food news about food in Manhattan, especially right for either New York. Right, Well, this woman writes this article about how the White Horse Tavern, which is a legendary tavern, probably the oldest one, one of the oldest two in New York City, will be taken over by a guy named Aton Sugarman at great name for a restaurant tour. By the way, Aton Sugarman was up here. You remember he brought up the maide in New York Pizza. It was made in New York Pizza has made its bones or its money from making a spicy pepperoni square. It's a square slice with little like little pepperoni is not even a big pepperoni. Little pepperoni's that curl that curls like a quarter sized pepperoni, like the quarter. So they've there's been press coverage that that this guy quote stole his maide in New York Pizza concept off of another pizza place that existed that also made a spice free Prince Street Pizza spicy Pepperoni square where he used to work. We don't know that, Yes, he did work there, that's part of the that's part of the problem. But hold on a second, So Aton he so so in covering in covering the him taking over this White Horse tavern bar. This woman Serenade d Ai writes about how um restaurant tour Eton Sugarman is gonna take this over, the man most recently known for opening a middling a middling Prince Street pre pizza knockoff. So she's referencing his other his pizza place, you know again the article is about him taking over the legendary White Horse Tavern. But then she goes on to say that, oh, you know the guy who makes the knockoff pizza from that other pizza place. Anyway, she later in the article comes back saying that she she dogs his other restaurant, saying that he's also the owner of the poorly reviewed Hunt and Fish Club in Midtown, a five million dollar, obscenely opulent restaurant catering to rich people. And then she continues on former Trump communications guy Anthony scar Mucci is also a coner of that place, and he's behind Southern Hospitality, a barbecue restaurant best known for once being associated with justin Timberlake. So and then she goes on to say, anyway, she she just be ra she is. She's absolutely has a fut on hold on for Aton Sugarman. I don't know if she knows him personally, I don't know what her history is, but she uses this reason of him buying this historic bar as a reason to just go in on him in this article that has. By the way, Eater New York a wonderful. I love their website, I love all their food revis but they never ever do that. They never does Prince Street Pizza advertise on Eater. Is this some money in the game? Well, this is why I wanted you to explore this with me, says um. Anyway, so then then she goes on at the end to to talk about him again, uh, saying things like, uh, you know she she totally The point upset about is you see two points. Okay, the point is she ripped them. But your point is he's like, she's she's going in on this guy now when the pizza thing is Really you're upset. Your articles never get this many comments. If you take a look at the comments on this, you know, like, as you would say before, we tell our audience what the masses are saying, what's your angle on the whole pepperoni pizza thing, because that's what you're most upset about. Well, I'm upset, Okay, about the fact that here's a typical headline if you google the story, it says, Prince Street Pizza claims former cook stole the slice recipe for Maid to New York Pizza. Here's my problem with that part of it. Okay, because that's what you're really upset about, right, I'm upset with the two things, Okay, But the first thing that yes, first of all, you cannot trademark a recipe. They will lose. It will no heinz ketchup in a court. It will lose in a court of law. You can't bake cookies, open up a cookie shop and then say, oh no, this woman stole my recipe because she used butter eggs. Like, you have to have a proprietary something. I read up on this, not have a proprietary something that you have to keep a secret because if it gets out, it's as good as anybody coax recipes in a safe and you can't. That's right, You can't get to coax recipes. So you're serious. No, No, Coca Cola can't trade It could trade markets, Logo could trade mark, but not the recipe. It cannot trade with the recipe. Somebody stole coax recipe and took him the court. They would lose, They would be laughed out of court because a recipe is not trade markable, because someone could have because someone could have accidentally come up with the same. Our good friend Bobby Flay apparently tried to take something to the Supreme Court. They were saying, I read some online and he didn't win. He didn't go far because you can't. You can't take these seven key ingredients and say that. The theory is that the cook who used to work at Princetree Pizza has every right to take the exact You don't have to confirm that that he was the article. I've seen him on the news. He worked there. But even so he claims that it's not similar. It's not it's not a fraud, it's not a knockoff. Listen, he could have he could have taken it word for word and and made made the same fucking thing exactly in the same order. He's not guilty of anything. This lady makes it sound like nobody has made it. Nobody has produced a fucking a pepperoni spicy slice, and these are the only this is the only place that's allowed to do it. And this guy's a knockoff, and there's nobody else that does. Well, you have to admit he took the recipe and then recreated it. So okay, if you if you own the Prince Street Pizza, you would be livid. I'd belive it, but I wouldn't have a case. Um okay, But to call something a knockoff a knockoff is when you take a Rolex watch and you try to call Rolex R O L e K. Knockoff, knockoff. It's a copy, a copy they had logo. Okay, I had the pizza when they brought up here. Aton is a really nice guy and New York pizzas, but the pepperoni wasn't even the best pizza brought up here. He brought up like ten prize. They were even better. So he does have a knack for pizza. Well, okay, but he's thing you know everyone here if you come to New York, you've read about it. You know one of our favorite pizzas LM B Pizza, Pimoni Gardens. There is a certain type of pizza. They put the sauce on top of the cheese. It's a way of doing This's what a thousand places well, now all over New Jersey. That's fine. There's like Brooklyn style pizza, Brooklyn's famous slice. I had one this weekend. It was. But he's the thing. Hold on, hold on now, I don't want to speak out of school, and there's no proof of anything, but Flay did it first. Hold on, hold on. There was allegedly a guy who whoo, who may have stolen the recipe or worked there, opened up his own place with a similar recipe. Uh, and he got a lot of crap for that. Well, well he was you know, that guy got a lot of crap from the people at the original place. Are we're gonna talk about that. I don't know if we want to talk about that. Okay, So the point but were very unhappy happy, but they didn't take him that it's not illegal, because it's not illegal. But there's certain people you don't want to take their recipe. Well I get that these were people that maybe you don't take their recipe. Okay, Well, and that's that person's decision to make because he lost in courts, so to speak. But alleged, if you're supposed to be an editor of a major foodie publication, they say there's a lawsuit or did they say they stole the recipe? Well, like it's a knock She called it a knockoff, she called, and she made disparaging remarks about his other establishments. That's wrong. Yeah, she took the entire are nicle and and she took what was supposed to be a nice article about preserving the history of the tavern bar because he took it over to use to dog this guy through the muddy. That's wrong. Okay, all right, I'll give you that right. And then, by the way, we know who he is. We're not personal friends. I don't hang out with the guy. I don't know the reason to defend him. I'm not a sponsor, not a sponsor, not anything. I just like in fact, at the end of the Eater article. And by the way, I tweeted this out from Brooklyn Boys and from Scary Jones. Uh, and I put the woman's name in it, and I dogged her. I told her her article is her article is full of diarrhea. Not yet, I'm waiting. Um, he said diarrhea. I said, your article is full of diarrheas you spelled diarrhea right, I did spell check, you know, help me out anyway. So, but look at listen most if you read Eaters articles, people will comment on this food is the best, that's food the best. But never before did they ever go after the reviewer and say, what the fund do you have? You have us pull up your fucking there's anger here. I feel like she was wrong somehow. Someone, Yeah, someone, I think her uncle ogn's Prince Street. Someone pissed in her Coco put She's got a horse in the race, somebody. That's what I'm thinking. She's she's upset. What's her name? Her name again is Serena Die d a I now I looked at her credits. That's a tough name. AI, however you spell it. What's your last name? Die? That's terrible? So so I I if you go to if you go to Twitter and you'll see it. Uh, it's at s S d A I on Twitter. Oh no, let's see if she responded to me yet. I wrote, hey ss die, what's your personal vendetta against Aton Sugarman? You're slanted? Eater New York article is full of hate on a level I've never seen on Eater, which is true. Eater doesn't have those types of articles on there a pepperoni square slice cannot be a knockoff. If recipes cannot be trademarked, your article is full of diarrhea. I still think you can have a knockoff even though it's legal. Still waiting for a response. All right, all right, you're not gonna get one. Although anyone, oh some people, oh City Eats is tweeting me back. I couldn't agree with you. More scary Jones. It was as if there's a personal backstory that we don't know about. Fight. Yeah, it's a foot fight, food at each other, not a food fight, a footy fight, foody fight. Yea. All right, well anyway, so anyway, uh it comes it. Feel free to respond to my tweet and include S S D. Now that's a good segue. You said you spell check diarrhea for Twitter. Yesterday, Captain Marvel was released in movies right the Today's about the seventh came out the seventh Captain Marvel. You were like Gregg T and I. So there's no difference if end of a sentence you say that it was done by me, but that was the sentence. I just said Greg T and I. Right, it's wrong, it's Greg T and me. But if it was stand alone and I, because you know, because you wouldn't say I, who did it? I, you wouldn't say that, you'd say me. A few weeks went by and only using it a free time A few times it stopped working and had they had me send it back and send a new one for her. But now the second one did the same thing, stopped working. After a few weeks. Called Amazon to complain. I said, I want my money back. They said they'll give me a refront plus a five dollar Amazon credit. But I said that's not good enough. I want my free dessert. Put your supervisor on the phone. I was able to get a free full refund and a thank you that's from Brendan Walter. And one more. We just got to do a shout out. Oh, she's gonna kill me because this is for her husband. Uh you could as the bed fades away. Oh my god, where is it? I had? Uh yeah, oh well I don't know where it is. Oh, this is terrible. Alright, Mike Frances, look into your phone. Shut up, you dick um. We were supposed to do a shout out for somebody. Let's do it next episode. No, we said we'd do it on this one. We did. I did. I promised, you don't throw me under the bus. All right, Well, I'll get it by the time the show is all right, all right, you know what. So here's what I got left. I got a rant and I got unused jokes. We'll hear both of those right after this. All right, let's uh, let's do some unused jokes that maybe didn't get used for whatever reason, the reasons usually being too filthy for the radio. Sometimes sometimes sometimes I shake my head, I'm like why didn't we use that now? Now, some of these jokes sound like they're related, but they're unrelated. We were talking about big penises, as we often do, and Dan yelled timed in that that, uh, oh, you want to talk about big penises, I'll have my husband call in and talk about it. So I wrote TMD instead a t M. I too much. Uh, this one was probably not good for the radio, but I thought it was clever. I'll have to explain it. We had Australian singer and actor Cody Simpson on and he was he's doing uh, his whole album is about and and his whole life is about the ocean. He was speaking at the U n uh to help preserve the seas and the oceans that keep him clean. And he said he's got an album coming out of all B sides. B sides are like in the old days when you put out a record, like a forty five single, the other side would be the B side that's not the hit, right, So I said, they're not really B sides, they're sc A C sides. But he didn't do that because he can't really explained on the radio. But I just explained down. Um. We were talking about the expression panties in a wad. When someone gets upset, they put their panties in a wall like S S D A I at. So I said to Elvis to say this, and he didn't want to do it. Oh, I once had a wad in my panties. He did not want. A woman called up and said she was calling from upstate New York. She is, I'm from cow Country. So my joke was, are you a good tipper? He didn't do that. Uh, yoh, you said you bought a vacuum sealer. I did you can steal anything? And you said I I sometimes I put my meat in there to keep it fresh. And so my joke was, you put your meat in the suck bag. He would not not do that. In radio, Okay, I understand why he didn't do this one, but it's freaking funny. We were talking about sex education and how some schools don't really teach sex head properly. So a guy a guy was a guy girl go called up and she said she lives in Amish Country in Pennsylvania, listens to US on FM ninety seven in Lancaster, and she said that in her sex head class, they explained sex as they had a bowl of chocolate pudding and a bowl of vanilla pudding, and he mixed them together and swirled them together and said, that's that's how babies are. Boy, because it's pudding and and because it was black and white. I said, who is your teacher, Bill Cosby? I didn't want to do it. You know, jello pudding. Okay, all right, Hill put the pills we were talking about so we would continue. We were talking about sex head that day. I said sex head. That was my nickname in high school. Elvis didn't want to do that as a joke. So after talking and we had another big penis conversation. As soon as the big penis conversation ends, um Gandhi did a news story about um oh, we were talking about Pete Davidson. That's what it was. We're talking about Pete Davidson and how how does he get these hot women like Kate Beckinsale and Ariana Grande. The rumor is he has a huge penis, So we're talking about his huge penis, and I point out to Elvis, I said, of course he has a huge penis. His name is Peter Peters his first name, and he's dick dick. Of course he's got a big one. He didn't do that nothing. And then finally we were talking about Pete Davidson for a while and about his big dick. We go to the news and God, he's talking about, uh, there's a problem with packages at the airport. So I said, speaking of packages Pete Davidson, we didn't get to that. There was no way we're going to get to that. Even if we had enough time. I found the guy's name, got to do a shout out. So, um, my fiance is a huge fan of you guys, works three jobs in Pittsburgh. E m s. Listens to you guys constantly while he's on the road. Uh, he said. He always said how he's always wanted to be mentioned on a podcast episode in his birthday is in a few days February. Whoops. Uh uh sorry about that. So I love if you guys could mention him and give him a belated birthday on your next episode. He tagged you guys. Oh he tagged us in the Brody's Barbecue T shirt and we gotta thank you for it for share it through Twitter, but never mentioned it on the podcast. The Brody's Barbecue t shirt that the guy sent over. He tweeted at at us. Anyway, if I didn't get the shirt, well know, but he sent it in a tweet. Anyway, send me the shirt. So, Miguel Rivera, here's your shout out, MiG Rivera one one oh five on Twitter, Town punks a tawny Pennsylvania Phil. When we get all of our Groundhog Day information from that's correct, the legitimate, accurate. Okay, by the way, I know you're about to do a rant. I wanted to tell you I was my most uncomfortable moment of the week. I was in a bar last week and um, the R. Kelly song Ignition Remix came on and I was looking around the room. I'm like, this is really awkward, and I'm looking around and I'm looking around that I'm looking all over the place, and I'm saying myself, maybe people don't realize either, hey, they don't they don't care that they don't care, or be they don't realize it's him that sing it, but there are people dancing to it and stuff. It's just awkward now now that an R. Kelly song comes on and get that. And then the same thing happened to me at that. This is before his interview with UH with King and then and then, um, just yesterday, I was a dentist's office and I was Kelly, was your dentist? And I jump ahead, sorry, I hope, I know. I was in the dentist's office, sitting in the waiting room, and the light station was playing, and the Way You Make Me Feel listening music, The Way You Make Me Feel from Michael Jackson was on, and after finding Neverland Brody, the first time in my life, you got this grimace on your face. But I gotta tell you, the first time in my life I felt uncomfortable that a Michael Jackson song was on. So and that's a serious thing. I'm like that, That's where are we gonna go from here? And I know we don't want the whole of the debate. We have been accusations about Michael Jackson and young kids since the early nineties, and the same, Kelly, I know, but it never bothered you about Michael Jackson before, you know how I know that Michael Jackson. I can remember easily that, Um, he's had this rumors about him since the early nineties when I started writing comedy, which was three yes and It was a long time ago. I was writing for Politically and Correct with Bill Maher. I had gotten uh permission to write for him. It was very political. It was during um I think it was the Clinton Bob Dole presidential election race, and I Michael Jackson had a commercial for Pepsi and the commercial was be young, Have Fun, right, And so I wrote the joke which they did on Politically Correct. Billmar did the joke that knowing Michael Jackson, instead of be young, have fun, the slogan should be be fun, have young, which was a clever little twist. And I got paid six to Finding Neverland and are I'm kidding? The rumors about Michael whether you believe it or not, and if you're fan of Michael, you tend not to believe it. People tend not to believe bad things about people they like, right. But after Finding Neverland now and all this stuff is coming out and then the Archael, I don't know if it affects the music for me. I don't know if it does or not. I just I felt a bizarre for the first time in my life. Listen, just three weeks ago on Instagram, I got a brand new record player and the first, the first album that I pulled out to play was Off the Wall, and and and and Don't Stop Till You Again Enough was on and I was and I put it on Instagram. It's still up there in the video. Look, and I was dancing and I'm like, oh my god, this sounds so good with the record. I was so excited that I had Vinyl in my apartment. And but but it's like, it's so weird because the day was then, and that was just a couple of weeks ago, and then there's now and then I don't know, and I don't know how to feel. I don't know how to feel. Still he's still He's still the guy who wrote Man in the Mirror, which is an amazing song about wanting to take change and affect things in life. He wrote We All the World. He helped millions of people with charity and different things. So so yeah, I don't know. For me personally, it doesn't I don't know how it I feel about the music because his music is still powerful and it's still changed people and race relations and ebony and ivory, and there was some great stuff that he did. If the other stuff is true, it's terrible for me. I don't know. You make your own decisions for me. R Kelly never did anything on the level of the other world. He did ignition, remix. No, no no, I'm saying that's from space jam. But he never did anything to change the world. He didn't feed the hungry, he didn't help underprivileged children. Michael did a lot of good, even though he may have had a left up childhood. And if he had an left up childhood, let's let's say, I'm not defending anything because I'm a parent. I'm not defending anything. But if he was beating as a child, as some people have said, and had no childhood and was on tour and and he his reality was completely warped, It's like you don't give the death penalty to mentally ill people who commit crimes, but you also can't justify it. Oh, I can't justify it. Look, there's a difference been explaining something. You can explain why, um, people become alcoholics, if they if their parents were alcoholics, if they have there's explanations for some things. I'm not explaining anything. I'm not defending it. Believe me, I'm not defending anything. I'm saying Look at how somebody messed him up a lot, and that's part of the shame of this story. So if it's not true, how terrible. And if it is true, somebody distorted his reality so much that he went into this life. What was weird seeing a snapchat to a snap story of people's reaction. They did a reaction video montaging and people why after find never Land? And so the Simpsons pulled to Michael Jackson episode saw that and transparent. Regarding R Kelly, um our company pulled all the R. Kelly music out of the library. We don't have access to any Kelly Music company pulled Chris Brown for a while after the Rihanna incident, but they put it back. But there's no R. Kelly music in our system is anywhere around the country when any of our radio stations now, a year from now, five years from now, I don't know what will be. But but okay, my next question is are they going to do the same to Michael Jackson. I don't know. See, it's easy to it's easy to ban someone with two hits. It's hard to ban the king of pop. So yeah, so I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. You've got to separate the art from the artist. Well, for some people, that's that's difficult. And you you you we work in a ratings business where you want to entertain and and you want to you want to hear feedback from your audience. So yeah, I know when you go with that, I don't know. I guess people will have to decide and and you know, listen for f for nine stations that ban him, that tenth one will be where you go to hear it. I heart radio app if they I guess the Apple, I don't know how they apps work either, you know, whatever your app is of musical choice, you know this Apple, iTunes or whoever. I'll see, we'll see if if they make the exception for one not the other. On a happier note or more on angry note, angry, I'm deciding. I'm so I had so many things this week. I think I'm gonna rant about chopped. So chopped is a chain of salad restaurants where they chopped salad. It's c h O p T. Hold on before you go any further. Mm hmm. Does this have anything to do with something that I've ranted about myself on a previous episode of this podcast. I don't know. Okay, keep going because I'm about to get angry with you. Okay, if this has anything to do with that, okay. So my wife uses the app and she orders our salads. Now I had never had I had never had chopped salad before, like chopped. I didn't know what chopped salad. But I just like, oh, they cut it up. They chop up the egg or whatever chopped, minces it up into little tiny pieces to make it easier to eat. And it's like a spoonful of goodness. Okay, yes, and by the way, that's what it's supposed to be. Okay, So don't get me hold on. So we go to pick up the food. If I get the times, wront forgive me. I believe they close it ten and I got there, like n maybe they closed it eleven. Whatever it was. They had like forty five minutes for closing. I get there and they were a little behind. They hadn't made my salads yet. So I'm watching them make the salad. Now, the normal processes, and there's these bins of ingredients. They take the bins, they put them on a plastic matte cutting board. They go and they chop it up. I bought the apparatus that they use. It's like a half circle over doubled right right, and they and they literally like rock it back and fron right and then they put in the ball. Then they put in the bowl and they chop, and they put the dressing in and yes, okay, So what they did was they take it out of the bins, they throw it in the bowl. No, no cutting board, hold on, and they do like a little mix, a little chop and they go and they put in the balls. Here you go. So I said, I would really like a chop salad. Yeah, it's ready to go. You didn't chop it. Oh yeah, we did. And I look and the cutting board area is spotless. There's no plastic cutting board. It's all clean. So I said, So, I said, I would like my salad chopped, please, And she said, it is chopped. That's I eat here all the time. There's big pieces of lettuce. That's a salad. That's not a chopped salad. Chopped. That's your name. Your name is the definition what to do. Your chop is the name of the place you chopped the salad. So she says, would you like it's super chopped yes, I would like it's super chopped, because that's an option. You can get it like mint stuff really small. They asked for super chopped. Then they chopped the chicken like super chicken, treating to the choir. So I say to the girl, I know what you did because I managed restaurants for twelve years. I know what she's what are you talking about? You're preclosed. What I said, you're preclosing. You're shutting down half the tables. You're shutting down. You're using one pair of tongs for everything. You have, re closes the clothes before the closed. So I said, what you did was you cleaned up the chop area right, and you don't want to chop again because your chop tools are clean, your cutting boards clean. I get it. I get you on to go home. I said, I've done this, but what you should have done was, if you were good at this game, is to chop the lettuce put it back in the bin so when you need it, it's pretty chopped. But she says to me, I gotta go in the back and get the cutting board. Cake. Can I just I'll chop it in the ball? I said, I want to chop, you know, I wanted it chopped because your name is chopped lettuce. So she gives her look like this asshole wants me to chop the lettuce, and then she goes, can you gotta get the cutting board, and she was like, I gotta get the cutt board. Wheread he cleaned it. I don't give a fuck. It wasn't ten to ten, it was night fifteen. You can't go half clothe most you can't do that. What was your complaint about them? It was the same exact thing. When you order a chopped salad, chop chopped, it's fucking chopped. It's gotta be chopped. Nobody chopped salad. Brodie, Brodie, We've had this conversation, you and I at nausea, but they did it to me. This Todd song can now gets the fucking curb your enthusias. That's right behind it, just scary. What hold on, hold on, hold on, let me start again for you. Go shp. Guess what, everybody, I want this ship chopped tonight because your name is chopped. So I tie onto the chopped salad. I didn't order a slice salad. I didn't order a wed chip, so fucking salad. I didn't order fucking jam lattice. I want fucking those tomatoes. I don't want them half, I want them crunched. I want avocados. I don't want a few little slices, a little fucking slippers chop at fucking I want cross cut on everything. I want my onion fucking die, right, dice, mince, Yes, that's false advertising. Change the name. We get too busy at lunchtime. They say, we walk into the restaurant. Were walking walk into the fucking salad place. We don't chop during prime time hours when we gotta rush your customers. I'm sorry. Does Starbucks say we don't steam milk it's too busy? No, you go, it's not my problem. Hire more people. You've got popular. You got busy because you're chopping so Atlantic City food Court that fucking place right there, same thing I said, excuse me. It says on the signed chopped salad, you're not chopping it. No, that's an old sign. They say, this is we don't sign we don't chop salad anymore. That's an old fucking sign. This is not as bad as the drive through scams that people are getting. It's a close it's a close second. It's to go. Actually, for me, it's first because I eat salad more than I go to drive through. Oh I love a drive through. You know that. I get so fucking angry with the broy We've talked about this so many times before. And then my wife says, while you're late, I got my wife. I haven't shot the salad. Sons of bitches, don't and don't just do a couple of cross cuts and call it a day. Don't try to don't preclose my ank. You know what they do now? Pre close bullshit? Do they do a whip? They put all the ingredients in a large metal bowl, and they'll take the tongs and they'll and they'll throw the they'll do mixings, they'll mix the dressing in and they'll do a little toss toss, they'll toss. I don't want by salad toss. No, that's I don't want to. I want to see the double cross cut oval knife. You know what what I'm talking about, The rocker knife, The rocker knife that handled back and forth and chopped. I want to see you left hand, right hand. The sant though due their Caesar salad, when did they get a chop? It's so good. We want to challenge. They never do that. Boys no boys, Rock Rock,
Speaker 1: Start up, dot up, start up, Brooklyn Boys. Did you try and go and correct all of Twitter? Who's got that kind of time? You know I did not. I was gonna go in my time to sit on hold on on your Planet Tronics Bluetooth. Here's the thing. If I didn't. If I did it in my main account at David Brody, then I went had to get into fights with people. And if I used one of my my secret accounts, then I wouldn't be able to talk about it because then you know that it was me that that pizza review woman, I did that from Scary Jones. There's no no, but that was no If I'm gonna fight with somebody like you know like that, I would use my regular I'm established I'm that guy. I would I would know problem at David Brody that woman, no problem. You wouldn't have problem with no problem with that. Um, let me tell you what I have on my menu your menu. I had a on the Target online. I had a problem with shop right Online. I got a company that I'm pissed about about the credit card situation you know about. I had a problem at Staples. I had problems at Uber Drivers. I had a huge problem at the hotel across the street. You funked up with your grammar, and a bunch of people instagram my d m my Instagram to complain about your grammar. On the air, you said something wrong and they were like, why didn't I correct you. I'm like, I'm not gonna correct you. They're like, you don't correct them, embarrassing on the National Show, but I should correct you. On the podcast you said something you say all the time. Okay, well done. I got a problem with Chopped, which is a salad chain, because these things just just talking about so many problems this week, this one and I got I got the flu problems, and so I'm gonna call it. I'm gonna I'm gonna call grammar police on you. Plice. Someone asked you about something on the air about a phone tap or something, and you said, Gregg it was that was done by Greg T and I Greg T and me and a bunch of people tweeted me going, why didn't I correct you. No, it was like who and I wrote Greg T and I. That's a complete statement. No, it's Greg T and me. It's Great T and ME. You said it to Elvis on the air, he said, who did that? You were like Gregg T and I. So there's no difference if end of a sentence you say that it was done by me, but that was the sentence. I just said Greg T and I. Right, it's wrong, it's Greg T and me. But if it was stand alone and I, because you know, because you wouldn't say I, who did it? I, you wouldn't say that, you'd say me. A bunch of people called it and they were like, why didn't I catch that? So look, I let you slip in with the product endorsements, but I'm not letting you slide on this, not letting you do it. So, so Eeri Arias wrote phenomenal podcast with an F phenomenal. I don't know if that's a joke. Brodie scary, scary Brodie. Um, I'm Eeri from Queen's been binging the ship out of this podcast. My boss says he does not like you. But the other day I caught him clear job. I caught him secretly listening to the Ups. I'm a big fan of The Big Show. Been listening since the days of your episode twenty one. I think by the way my wife got me blocked on The Big Show. I asked her to send I love when Danielle reads my horoscope, and she sent I hate when Danielle reads my herotscope instead, then deleted the message off my phone. So I had no idea. Oh my god, the wife played a practiced The other day while we were listening to Brodie Scary, She brody and scary. She confessed to me what she did. I used to text The Big Show a lot. Elvin read one of my but of my text one the day of the one World Observatory, and that really made my day. When we did that broadcast from when World Trade reopened. Anyway, I reactivated Twitter because of you guys, and I can tweet you and the Big Show. I love your energy and chemistry. The rants are gold. It sucks they are from real life experiences. But at least you're getting a book deal and you've got a great podcast. Not bad after all, I'm gonna buy your book even is not even uh keep me smiling all day, That's priceless. I love l g PT Hit the Jingles. Not a sponsor anymore. By the way, Danielle did a couple of UH product product endorsements in the Fifteen Minute Morning Show and on the Big Show, and people texted it hit the Jingle. Quick free dessert story from Brendan Walter Slice for Life listens from episode zero. Here's a free dessert story. I ordered a paper shredder from Amazon for Christmas from my mom.
