Speaker 1: I mean, once they're left to say about Feltman's of Coney Allen hot dogs, it hasn't been set already. I don't know what we can say where our listeners aren't like, already know what you're gonna say. Right. We know there's no night trads and night trates. We know Charles Feltman was the creator of the hot dog. We know they're delicious. I feel like our listeners can actually teach a class on the origin of the hot hope. So I hope you guys are listening and paying attention and not like, oh, they're talking about Feltons again. Yeah, we're talking about Feltons again. Because we're about to go into break. You're not gonna we're not gonna have a podcast for a couple of weeks, which is gives you ample time to have some hot dogs. You've got to go to Jet dot com, Amazon dot com. They have skin lists, they have skin full like I like, I like it with skin have to be honest, that's the regular hot dog. Some people like the skin off. That's okay. They have all different varieties. They're at Feltman's of Coney Allen dot com, Amazon dot com and Jet dot com and of course if you got world champion hot dog eaters like Kobi Ashi vouching for the brand. Now we're not champion hot dogs, but you and I have eaten our fast Share hot dogs. This no filler, no artificial ingredients, It's all natural. There's no filler, no nitrates. Already said that part, you said no nitrate. I started the podcast with that. I didn't hear that. You should listen. I'm rather interesting. And of course Bronie and I paid a visit to the famous brick and mortar right there on Surf Avenue and Coney Island, right there by the cyclone. My recommendation, go on the cyclone first, work up your appetite, Go get some Feltman's. The cyclones not the kind of rod you want to go in to full stomach. Absolutely, that's not definitely the case. And you want to you want to make sure you enjoy and relish the afterglow. Relish. And by the way, Coney Island, if you're in the area, they're gonna do a huge fireworks display to welcome in twenty nineteen at the parachute jump Tower. It's right there by Feltman's, So go get a hot dog, watch the fireworks. And everything will be great. F P L T M A N. S of Coney Island dot com. Up Up Brooklyn Brooklyn Boys. Hey is it Neil Patrick Harris And you're listening to the Brooklyn Boys with wait for it, Brody and scary. Thank you Neil Patrick Harris, Episode sixty seven. It's the Brooklyn Boys podcast where we're the only ones left in the goddamn building. That's right here. I want you to know our dedication. This is dedication. But let's mark everyone is gone. It's free box Friday here at the albicetur In Morning Show. All the boxes have been claimed, all the food has been taken. Woo woaha, about one box passed across my desk. It's not true. We are about a half hour away from the CEO of our company, Bob Pittman, having a messenger package come over for Elvis. Now, I asked the girl when she called, I said, oh, your package coming. This was yesterday. They were gonna send it over yesterday if everybody left and Elvis is out of town. And I said is it perishable? And she said is it what perishable? I said, you know it can perish. It's food or flowers or something who died right and said, no, no, no, no, it's a it's a bottle of liquor. So I said, liquor. The Elvis keeps all the liquor problem. It's where those tea bone steaks arrive, or the cheese or the Joe's stone crab legs. I want. No one's here, no cheese wheel. I'm just kind of shocked. You love the summer sausage in the winter. I said that, and I said that on the Big Show, and I've been mentioning that I haven't seen any sweet treats come through here in these bore If you ever want to get on Scary's good side, we need like his ring tone. If his ring tone could be the sell aphane crunching sound, because that means I'm about to rip sell a Phane off and get to the good stuff. I could use a nice Havardi right now, Oh nice, I could use an aged gooda, some smoke cheddar, some smoked mudstel. They don't usually put that in the package because it's a hard cheese and Arlsberg. Yes I do. And by the way, being from Brooklyn, Italian palmejan Reggiano is where it's at I can't go to Christmas dinner without first having the antipasta tray where they have the super soda, the cup of goal, the puer you like a little local tally romano. I like a little little pile of it. I could just sprinkle it on some bread. There's a sharp provolone that they throw in there, and then the palmegan reggiano is a whole other level. Okay, so provolone. Since we're talking cheese now, My exposure to provolone as a kid was always on a French dip sandwich. When I worked at Chuck E Cheese, you put you only use the provolone on a French dip, So I got a custom having a French dip with provolone. So now when I see provolone, I feel like I gotta put on a roast pief sandwich where I can't eat it. You can't have provolone on a regular sandwich. Well, no cold cuts I would put. I might put American depends on the cold of Italian cold. American cheese is not real cheese. We spoke about this too. Listen. It's enough cheese that we can call the cheese. I like whatever it is it's a cheese product. There's cheese in it, and I like it. I'm American. Go with that, all right, But going with that, speaking room, speaking of food, I gotta call bullshit on you. Why. Okay, So I walk out of the Elvis Strand Morning Show studio. By the way, we're not in the Elvis studio. We're in the old Els. This is the studio that I hate because I'm running the board and not Yeah, Brody's running the board and I'm sitting here, and I hate not running the board. But but not only that, Acoustically it doesn't sound as great. And there are times when we've had tracks missing. One time, there was a problem in the studio one time. Okay, I don't like this studio because it malfunctions easily. Also because I'm pushing the buttons and like being in charge. But but till I like sitting down relaxing when I'm standing running the board. So I'm pushing the buttons. You can listen, have a party, man. I'm I'm relaxed right now. I'm I got one foot out the door today. And you know, we do have to make a point to say that we did stay late for this to do this today. We're giving you two podcasts this week because you're going to go without. Okay, people are calling bullshit on us right now because we didn't do last week week right, We're gonna play that here. Hold on, we we know even as not even don't tweet me, So listen, uh you. I walked out of this the other studio and my lovely interns, Christina and and Peyton. It's their last day today, Yes, last day. Christine is coming back next to masters. I love them both terribly. They're wonderful. So I walk out and I step on something. What the hell is that? And it's a chocolate and it's the kind of chocolate that we got a box full of them. You have to unwrap them, but this is an unwrap piece of chocolate. So I go, girls, who's leaving chocolate on the floor? They, oh, that was scary. He dropped it when he was filming some boomerang. They was so quick. So I'm gonna play the song. Yes, yeah, okay, you guys all know by now you listen to know what you know? Bupp is okay, So I said what he means? He was, yeah, scary something some video and he dropped it I guess he didn't pick it up. So the studio door opened, someone's walking out of the studio and I, yeah, I'm scary. He left chocolate on the floor, and you said chocolate the floor talking about he left chocolate on the floor. Don't play me for other people's crap. I didn't drop chocolate on the floor. I said, well, the girls said, you dropped the chocolate the floor while you're filming the boomerang video where you pulled the wrapper open and dropping my hands to Grandpa. You can see the boom to which to which you said, oh, oh, yeah, that was me because I didn't know it's chocolate. You were talking about it ather chocolate spot when you dropped the chocolate. Four hours since that chocolate, how do you drop the chocolate on my hands and knees and picked up all the chocolate, so apparently not. I guess I missed one, But wouldn't you say I might have missed one. I did drop some chocolate because it was four hours later. I didn't think that would take that long for someone to step in the chocolate. So how to be different chocolate? By the way, it's the day before Christmas here at the studio and there's a lot of chocolate flying around, so I don't know who someone else could have dropped chocolate. It's not uncommon at this time of year for there to be chocolate on the carpet, right this chocolate everywhere. It's mayhem if it is chats and dogs living together, ghost specially fro that that that specialty box. They said, boy, wow, so good. Okay, you know what, what you know what, I'm gonna hit the jingo bitch. You don't like it? No, you did that. On the Big Show today we were talking about how it's free box Friday and then someone said, oh really what the Elvis said, what boxes have come in? Stop it. Rather rather than just saying, oh, there's chocolate or letting someone else say this chocolate, you have to go, oh yeah, it's Ferrero chocolate. It's the gold Dude box chocolate. It's the best chocolates to put enough. We get it, we get it. You know it's a seasonal thing. I understand seasoning, but this isn't a commercial for you. This is our podcast. I get that. But at the same time, people need to know if they need a gift, they need to go to buy that stuff and I'm not gonna say it again because I don't want you hit the jolt on the on the record. Don't put the needle on the record, but the drunk beat go like this, put the needle on the record. Okay, I'm ready alright, mixed, master cut faster. Okay. Sorry, So then just just be a man about you deal. Just be a man, Just go hey, I did it all right, but I didn't realize that's remind me to get something up to print. I printed a whole page really funny tweets to us, and I was that sarcastic comment. When I was leaving here to go say goodbye to the interns, You're like, go get your thank you. You picked up on that. I picked up on it because you make it sound like something perverse. Okay, so I'll tell you. I'll tell you what it was. So the studio where now has a glass window that is parallel to the walkway past our studio. So the two interns, Peyton and Christina are walking by the studio. Now, it's not like scary as best buddies with the interns. I run the internship program, I interact with them, I scheduled them. I do the reviews. I trained them. I teach them pretty much everything they do the whole semester. Everyone says high, but I'm the one who who suggests their topics. I get them on the air. I'm the one who interviewed them for an hour. I have a relationship with them, you know, work relationship. Scary. Will occasionally go hey, I need something? Can you type something for me? Can you get something for me? And every once in a while schmoos with them and maybe get to know their names. So today's Peyton's last day. Okay. Peyton is a lovely young lady college dude happens to be very attractive, as is Christina. Christina is coming back next to mess. Why do you have to the attractive part in there? Why don't bopap me? Who's doing the bo today? I bought you once, you bought me before. Okay, so they're they're waving goodbye now. I already said my goodbyes. They gave me a nice card. Well I should say they did not. Peyton did not give me a card, now that I think, unless it's one on my desk. That maybe one on my desk. Sometimes the interns like to drop and leave. I did get uh. I got two intern calls yesterday. Well, Amy, one of our interns. She she gave me a card as well, and then I went to go open it up and she was like, don't do it. Don't don't. DUT's awkward. Don't open it in front of me. Whereas interns, Hannah wanted me to open the car in front of hard because she put a joke and I want to see my reaction. Why wouldn't Why wouldn't somebody if they wrote something hard felt? And Amy did write something really nice to me in the car to personalized message. Sure, why wouldn't she want me to open in front of her? And because she's like it was mushy, kind of was like sentimental. It was nice, but she's like, I can't, I can't. She turned around and she closed her ears because she walked away. So we're about to record. I have everything set up, the board, pro tools to record. Everything that's gonna be set up. The last Time'm gonna see Peyton ever, I mean, I am I ever gonna see her again. Well, you can see on social media. I'm sure you followed her the first day of her internship. Second of all, she may come back in the summer, we have to see her. Maybe she'll come back in the She's going to study in Progly. He shows how much you pay attention. She said, she's going to Italy. Yeah, pizzas in Italy, Tower of Pizza. I don't know where she's studying, but she's not studying Prague, which is in Czechoslovakia, Czech Republic. But anyway, okay, so yeah, so so she's leaving, so I'm never gonna see her again. Record she walks by, you're like, it's her last day. Hold on, stop recording, and you jumped up, So I said, well, I gotta think aod bye to the girl. I can't be like, oh, I don't want her to walk away with this internships being like, I loved all those people in the Morning Show except Scary. He was a real asshole to me. I don't be saying I don't want to be I don't think the interns are gonna lose any sleep. If you didn't stop recording to jump out and say hi, it's just you know you didn't jump out crass, it's not hold on, it's not human. Okay, did you jump out of the studio and say hey, Peyton, I got on recording, but thanks for a great semester, have a great time in Italy. Not progue, okay, And then which one of you reached in for the hug? I did, right? I was just actually was both of us like, hey bye, because I hugged people when they leave yesterday, human human in turns Sam, no relationship producer Sam in turns Sam was saying goodbye. Yeah, I said the same thing to her. I was standing between you and she, right, and she stretched her arms. That's what you know. She said goodbye to me, right, she gave me a high five, and you said goodbye, Sam, and for you and you did the Frankenstein arms. It's different different. You're her boss. I'm not different relations I'm more of like the cool friend. You're the boss. I don't have any I don't. I don't When do I ever interact with the interns? That's my point? So why thank you? I don't. Yeah, I have it on tape now you don't interact with them? But you had to stop recordings. No, no, we talk. No, when when do I? When do I ever? When do I ever? Like say, I already established that I don't. I don't keep their time clocks, like those. By the way, you should listen to the book. You should listen to the Brooklyn Boys podcast because I just said that two minutes ago, but I'm reiterating it. Why don't you just back the podcast underline to put exclamation points. Because you are their boss, you're viewed as their boss. They don't hug their boss, but others they do that all the other interns. Some of them ug me, but they kissed me first around the stage some of them and will say, hey, can I hug you goodbye? And I said absolutely as soon as they asked permission, right, because it's professional courtesy. I don't go and jump on them and go, oh, I'll hug you all. Stop the podcast. I'm coming far are you Payton? Here? I come. That was a mutual and it was a mutual term of endearment. It's what we do as human beings. Are you not human? Brodie? I want to cut you and see if you believe. I believe you believe I think in this society right now, you should not be running up to interns to hug them until they hug you first. Wow, you're scared you No, I do not. I don't really have Some of the high really innocent. I'm just staying. But only a person of interest would have something interesting that would they would have a reason to back off at I don't think running down the whole way to hug someone is just saying goodbye, I haven't seen you run that fast when there wasn't see all the interns? Am I not supposed to? Again, I don't want to be labeled that if that was if that was one of our male interns, you would not have run down the hall give him a hug. Absolutely, But you do the the Brooklyn Huga double backpack. Yeah, you can't just doing embrace without a backpack. You gotta add the backpack like I got. Yeah, yeah, yeah, hey like that. Yeah yeah, I do that with Yeah, that's the guy in turns. No, you do this. You do the handshake and the poet and even the single but the single hug. The other arm goes around with the backpack. That's what I do for the guys. Don't you do that for them? How lucky are they? Extremely? They're really they're They're happy to have known me as I am to have known them. It's mutual. You're picking, you're picking apart it crumbs. You got nothing left for the year, the years almost. I just anybody here will know. If I tell anybody who say goodbye to the interns, they'll say, oh, did you go hug him? Yeah? Why not? Do you don't think anybody else does? Okay, Well, don't say think Josh Win running to hug the interns. Josh is not a hugger. Josh is barely a talker to the interns. He doesn't. Yeah. Yeah, I think we should call a coast to boy Josh and you want to call him in here? I think we should hold all right, yeah, here he comes. Yeah, yeah, hold on, he's gonna come in. You have music for him, hold on, hold on. This is a microphone. Here, have that mic? Tap that I'll tap that, tap that mic, I'll tap that mike. No, really, I did, I did. Yeah, that's it. Josh. Welcome to the Brooklyn Boys Podcast episode than you. Well, it's your first appearance on The Brooklyn Boys is nominated. We're having a little bit of a I won't say debate, maybe debate. Uh and it's something I think we didn't win anything, don't anything yet. Oh, by the way, this is our land pot last podcast to remind you to vote for the Brooklyn Boys podcast the Heart Radio podcast awards five times a day. It's our Gmail account. Yes at I heeart. Now go to I Heeart, go to iHeart podcast dot com in the comedy section, and let's get those five verds votes a day done. First, Okay, Brooklyn Boys pods every day, and then each email addresses, Brody was saying. And then on Twitter social media, just retweet our ship. Yeah, because there's three hashtags. Okay, So we're about to record our podcast. And as we're about I hit record. We're about to do the podcast, and lovely interns Peyton and Christina walked by the window and Scary says, oh the leaving, Yeah that today is their last day. Oh, I say goodbye. And so as he's getting up to run to say goodbye, knowing his level of interaction with them the whole semester, I say, yeah, go get your hug, Scary, go ahead, Yeah, I got an asshole. He's like Scary. Now they do not know Peyton hog, But why hug Why did mostly interns Payton hugged me. I said, I don't go. I don't go to hug them. So so, first of all, is it any surprise that he went running down the hall to hug them? Not at all? Right, Now, what on the scale one to tend? What level of interaction does he have with an intern every semester? Did you know the names? Yes? Because I said this Peyton, Christina, But that's not the point. But continue which Peyton, by the way, Payton, who's on with the red lipstick? And then Christina is the one with the glasses? Yeah, okay, okay, Well no, I don't know. I didn't know what okay, so okay, So so number one not surprised he ran down the hall? Is it wrong of me to assume he ran just to get the hug? I don't think, knowing you, it's wrong to as what do you mean? Knowing me? You elaborate on that? What does that mean? I don't think you try to hang out with the interns all that often? No, I know, I don't. But but isn't there a level of affection or gratitude section that you can show for somebody, like knowing their names? That and no, but if you're saying goodbye to somebody a warm embrace, is that there is that off limits you? You should not use the term warm and embrace that together. Not would you try to go get a hug from a guy in turn? If you would do the path, I would do that, the handshake, polling, ba hug, single, hug back. But you know he wouldn't stop recording a podcast to say goodbye to like intern Josh from the summer. I would, of course I would. I don't know. But the thing is now today almost twenty nineteen, depends on when you hear the podcast. Should you be running down the hall to initiate a female, you should be running the other way, right. Why isn't one so scared if you've got nothing to hide, It's not about scared or hiding. It's just just say goodbye. Shes gonna give you a human okay, alright. In my culture we hug. Hey, my culture we kiss. But I'm not gonna kiss. Yeah, that's that doesn't work these days, buddy, I thought for sure that you here. But the thing is, I said, the bottom line, you're talking to the guy that hides in the studio all day right like but but seriously, though, as the guy who does all the hiring, the most interaction with them, I wouldn't go up to them and say, give me a hug, because he's their boss. No, No, because different between the interns. And my point is my point is I'm the most comfortable with them, and I wouldn't initiate a hug. Yeah, that's my point that I'm friendly with them, I interact with them, that I know them like I talked to them every day, and I wouldn't go give me a hug goodbye. I will say this. In my time in this job, I have had one situation Jake, Jake, Ja, Yeah, hold on, hold on, Jake, I gotta ask you a question. Get on the mike. Let me see. I get that we need a lost opinion on this. I'm kidding. Uh So we have Jake from the doing tapped that, Mike, Jake, and you know what, Yeah, that one I'd go to HR on that he told you to tap his mic. Okay, Um, So all I could tell you is this, hold on, I catch Jake up, producer, Jake, He's just going right, it's important. Pause Jakespeare. With a couple of years, he wasn't intern. Okay, on your last day, well the whole semester, did do you feel like scary knew your name is an intern? I think it took a while, but he did. Okay, on your last day, do you remember him coming up to you and hugging you goodbye? No? But but you never did have a last that's sure. I never. Well, I I everyone thought I had a last day and then I came back. But you have I never just give you a big hug and a backpaun like god, I love you. Jake Carlson never told me you loved me. So this is the first. Okay, So here's here's what I'm just to recap for Jake. No, No, did interns Christina and he said, oh, it's the last day they're leaving. And he stopped with the podcast from recording, got up and ran to go whatever. So I said, enjoy your hug, scary, go get your hug. He came back and he goes, what'd you say that for? What do you I'm getting hook for? First of all, Jake, without knowing anything, do you think he hugged the interns? Yes, okay, now do you think he Do you think I hugged him? Well, he initiated hug he did? Is that creepy rule? No? I did the same thing. Well, thank you, Jake. Finally, Jake is two years older than them. And he like instagrams with them. But he's all but Brodie's their boss, so they look at him differently. Hugged them, thank you, thank you, Jake. Okay, Mike drop, I don't have a pen in my hand, but you don't think it's weird, that's scary. Only hugs the female intern. That's not true. I hugged the guys too, Exhibit A one of the few. Do you say anything else to them? You have a theory on what you're actually doing when you go up and hugg hold on? What's the hold on? What are you doing here? Still here? Oh my god? Stop it? Ask cur if it was awkward? Was it awkward? She's not here? She left. She ran out because because Brodie. She's gone. She's scared. She's scared of only let me tell you, Brodie's Brodie's like freaking, he's a villain. He's like, here's Katie, my intern. Hi, you're back, Katie. Welcome to Boys podcast intern. Katie. How are you great? You gotta talk into Oh well, we'll watch it, okay. So in turn, Katie, Katie, have you had a lot of interaction with Scary this semester? Not a lot? Be honest, let me turn Kati answer the question. Not that much. I see him in the hallways. He's always very friendly. Yeah right, but okay, now talking, that's fine. Okay, So today's your last day? Yes? Oh? Is it? Now? All right? So okay, look at what can I say goodbye to? Okay? Now, now, when when Scary says good body you, what do you interpret that to mean that I'm not coming back? No? No, Like, how do you think he's gonna say goodbye? If? In what term? Yeah? Like? If you how would I what would the interaction be? Like bye, Scary, thank you for a great semester and him saying okay bye, just like that? Right? You wouldn't expect him to initiate a hug? No, not necessarily. Yeah, but what oh my god? But what if I did that? Is that creepy? No? I don't think so. It just depends on the person. Okay, but are you a hug for this person? This person that you barely have barely interacted with all semester? Out? I don't think I'm gonda gave me a hug. Yeah, that's fine. I interacted most probably with Grantia, and he didn't give me a hug. He's got so scary, said hey, thanks for a great semester, and put his arms out to hug you. Do you feel like that's maybe a little little forward because you don't really have a relationship with him most semester. No. I think if he's if he's confident, then it's fine. If he's weird about it, then it's weird. I'm not weird about it. They're all weird. Actually not Jake, but Brody and And and coaster Boy Josh are weird about it. They think it's bizarre. No, I think it's nice. Thank you. What if Brody tried to hug you? Is that different because he's your boss? I guess maybe. But that's not true. You've proven nothing. I never said that I do or I don't. I said I don't initiate hugs with the interns. But the interns initiated hugs with you. Yes, And they'll say give me a hog, or can I hug you? Yes? Day, I just go in for it. Man, you go in for it? What is it? I've scary as a hugger and Brodie's not a hugger. That's not true. I happen to love hugs more than any other sign of affection. Really, that's correct, I've never hugged you. That's well, because right now, Jake, but getting awkward backing, Yeah, that's a good hug backpacking. I'm a hug adding, I'm a hugger. But I've interested to see what Peyton says. Because Peyton's a little more h I feel like Katies will laid back. She's like, what's fine, Peyton, anything is Katie because it's not awkward. It's toll in your head, Brodie. She barely knows you, and you're like, it's nice. Do you feel like Scary could have talked to you more the semester We don't really have in here. I don't feel like he should have, but we just can. We have We work on opposite into the building. It's that's not like that, right, So then a wave goodbye would be good. A wave, But it's the holidays. If he's being extra, don't bring in the holidays because it's every semester. It's every semester. My point is he cares enough about you to hug you, but not enough to talk to you all semester. He's trying to investigate a federal case that's not there. No, but I feel like if I were to go up to him and try and talk to him or during the semester, he wouldn't have like fought back. He would have been nice. He just didn't initiate it. Neither to die right. And she's been busy, got headphones on, staring at the TV screen all day. I mean that's she's filming ship. You know, she's looking at us through a lens. What the hell supposed to do? Why am I on trial here? Why is Josh looking at me that way? Josh, I was gonna say, I think what he's doing or or is trying to accomplish in this final goodbye is like a kind of a um make entire semester. And I apparently knew your name three weeks ago. But you know what, I'm a good guy, So let's finish this off nicely. No, you've now graduated. If you're ever in Jersey City and need to get into a close I'm your guy. We're like Instagram, I'll follow you follow job. No, No, it's not me. You got the wrong guy on that. No, just you like to network. Everyone's staring at me. It's the networking side of you. Scar the I'm gonna follow you on Instagram? Guy, when they first start, not when they graduate, thank you, and then and then you don't know who they are. Three years day one, he's like, oh, hey, nice to meet you. What's your Instagram? Right three years later and it's like, I used to intern for you. Remember how come you don't ask them what their Twitter is because there's no pictures. There's no pictures on Instagram. How many times are you scrolling? How many times you scrolling through Instagram? And you're like, who the hell is this girl? All the time? I we have a lot of the things I follow on listeners. A lot of listeners follow me. It's just not I don't know. I can't give you answer on that. Okay, okay, we don't say oh jacohog as well? Soodya pat He awes me to follow on Instagram, Katie on Instagram, follow work right now? Follow you. You would have had to talk to her to follow me on Instagram. You didn't give the goodbye, but that's because you don't talk to her. Well, maybe I'll get her Instagram and we will follow each other. Don't you say goodbye to her? Well? Are you're leaving right now? And I just got a camera in her hand. He's gonna walk out with the gonna film you hug. Okay, just prepare yourself for when New Years. Okay, so goodbye. It's nice, it's human. It's what we do as people on this earth. Alright, coaster boy, Josh, everyone, thank you? All right. I lived in Brooklyn for a year, by the way, so I'm I'm part part Brooklyn parts absolutely, that's right. That's right. You're more appreciated, appreciates good pizza. That's right. He's much more Brooklyn than Greg Tea. Well, he's got the other part of Brooklyn. Look the glasses, the hipster look more glasses. But you're definitely the western part of Brooklyn, the trendy part. Yeah, you know, you're too cool for the part were Brooklyn South. Yeah, we're Brooklyn. All right, Thanks Josh, thank you. It's very nice. Yeah. So let's so let's get back to the bobble bab thing, because I feel like we get anywhere with the I just want to say one thing about a person who, uh, the one time in my life that I felt really taken aback um and it was our buddy, our buddy, Darren Feffer. I love the guy to death. He walked me into a trap. He's like, Oh, it's Gary, it's so and so's last day. Um, you gotta you gotta go give her a hug, Go give her a hug. Man. I'm like, oh, it's her last day, no way. So I yeah, I knew her, and I knew her. She's from my Heart Nationals. So we're backstage at a concert. It was actually a Jingle Bowl show, and he watched me as I walked over to her, and I'm like, oh, my god, So and So I'm not gonna out you right now. It's your last day. Oh my god, I can't so great working with you. And I went in for a hug and she she took two steps back, and I'm like oh, and I kind of cornered her and think and then and and I'm like what And then she goes, oh, good bye, and I'm like oh. And then I saw the body language and I pulled too, and I'm like, oh my god, I'm so sorry. And I looked back at Darren Fafferty. He's laughing his ass off. Because it was a known fact in that in the office that she just hates hugs for anybody. I thought you're gonna say it wasn't her last day. That would be even funnier. No, no, no, it's been. Apparently there are people out there, so Darren knows you're the swooper. There are people out there hashtag the swooper. There the hug. But there are people out there that actually hate hugs, but not but hate just they can't get near you. They physically can't like wrap their arms around you, like, and she was one of those people. But he's my question that and then we got into a funny we broke the ice and she goes, yeah, Darren does that We all do that because because they know in the office that I don't hug. I don't hug. His question though, I'm like, if you got to shake someone's hand, and then not a handshaker, but I wouldn't shake the hand. I don't hand some women because you don't you got to shake someone's hand unless it's nice to meet you, right, but any nice to meet you, I'll shake. Do you kiss the back of their hand when you do that? No? Have you? No? Okay, So when you got to shake someone's hand and they don't want to shake your hand, their jerremy, they have a cold okay, all right, but you can change the hand to a fist bump. You go, hey, man, all right, but when you put your arms out like a big like a big hug monster, and they go, I don't hug your arms are out there, and you're like, oh, I'm stuck. You're stuck. If you had gone to hug in turn Payton and she was like a dude, you've been like, maybe I shouldn't assume, pep, everyone's a hugger. Maybe I should assume they're more like that that woman who used to work with us at heart hugger. But but but that's an anomaly. That's not that's not the norm. It really isn't. I most people do hug. But there are people out there that maybe you're listening to this podcast and you're like, I don't hug anybody. This is crazy. You everybody knows. Like we have guests in the studio. You you hugged. Like we had a charity event, a charity group up here today. It's like four women and a guy. You went to all the women, you went flying around the counter. You're like, oh, even hug me, hug yeah, and talked to him during the whole interview. You didn't really know them. You said hi goodbye in the same motion and then ogged him. You feel like you just go, hey, nice to meet you. All right, we spent a lot of time on this, by the way, we move on. Okay, but that's all right though, I'm okay with it. I'm good now now back to the bopp So if I we've discussed this on this, my way of getting people's attention is saying because sometimes it's but first of all, it's better than saying, shut up to you, you bro, you do that, you go, hush, you go. You do that a lot, Yeah, because sometimes you got I think that's more rude when it's less just to reset it and now you should have been listening in order. But you know, bump doing that. Yeah, but buppa bap to me. It's not a hey, shut up to me. It's an interruptive way of getting getting everyone's attention when no one's paying attention to you. So okay, Like so it's become a bit on the show, Elvis says, don't you dare? But okay, hold on? In turn, Kate is leaving, are you leaving? Okay? Hold on, take care, take care. There you go. She felt obligated to Was that was that? Was that? All right? Was that fine for you? Okay? That was good? Yeah? Yeah, that was okay. Okay, look at look how do you make it a ten? I mean, there's room for improvement. Hug wasn't a good hug? How do I how do I get better? Le mean, talk about it lest there was a lot of a build up. Okay, my apologies. If it was just it just happened in the moment I got yeah, well okay, all right, well all right, well well I'll follow me on Instagram. I'll follow you back, follow back, you know, enjoy your holidays? Are you you celebrate Christmas? You know that she's Jewish? If you bother to get to know her, well, I don't see her wearing a star David on her or something like that. Wow are you wearing across? I'm just saying it. So then what does that even mean? I'm so I apologize, I do. Don't apologize for me. You're gonna get Brody a hug now or No, he's your boss, you wouldn't do that. Yeah, sure, that's fine if you want, right, that's the permissible huge, good, good, awesome, no, really good times. Thank you so much. You are coming back in another future semester, right, No, wow, awkward, we haven't discussed it. We can discuss it. You can email me, we'll talk. Yeah, we'll talk. All right, cool, take care. Hey, I have a question that was awkward. Why is that awkward? Okay, because you don't know that we didn't have a conversation on her coming back up. Well you doning you sucked it up. No, Now she's like, oh, there's an option to do that. Oh no, so you just closed the door on the semester. The way it usually works is someone comes to me. Somebody comes to me and says, like a week, two weeks, a month before the semester is over, Hey, you know what, I feel like I'm learning a lot, but this I feel like there's more room to grow. And I said, well, let's have a meeting. We sit down and we talk about what you think you want to learn the next semester. So that I know it's not just that I had fun here. This is a great environment. I want to come back and hang out more because it's a learning internship. So Katie never came to me and said, I feel like we can learn more and I can do more and whatever. She never approached We never had the conversation. So maybe I just opened a door for you guys to have a conversation. Right, But if she wanted to come back, like genuinely wanted to, she would have come to you right now. It's just like, oh, I can come back, this is a fun place. That may not be the case, but it could be the case. Some people are just shy, so you should just strike me as a person who doesn't apply herself very much. So maybe wanted she wanted you know, you know what she worked before this late night with Seth Meyers. I'm sorry, I'm yeah, very nice. Yeah, she happens to be very uh push yourself out there and good. Okay, So maybe she didn't like the environment. Maybe she doesn't want to come back here, and I made it awkward from her eyes just lit up and she just said, right really well oh then maybe then then you guys need to talk further. Well now thanks to you, I do. Yeah, well yeah, well okay. So then so I wrote a little song and uh, I had scary drop in some lines. He did not hear the rest of the song. He just knew he was dropping in his bubba bups and so here is a little scary boy. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, blah blah blah blubb to combfore to some tom tommummum some tomb to my box coming back to tumm com Commmm, what is that? Are you sure you didn't produce that? You didn't write that? I did not where what's it called? Uh scary Bubbama song? Shut up? When was it produced? I don't know. Let me clicked the file. This is a surprise to you. You're the fucking jokester I am, but I didn't. I didn't. You're the one I usually writes that ship I understand that. Let me put this here. That's hilarious. They spelled it bah bah bah, which is actually I'm kind of curious. It's Bob Well who did Now? That was funny. I by the way, do you listen to the podcast? No joke, we're not shipping it and I both did not realize that was coming, and neither one of us have heard that until just there a Seriously, who did that? Was Josh coaster boy? It was recorded in two thousand ten, which is not possible, is it? Have we done this before? No, I don't know what that is. I have no idea where that came from. Was that old? Is that eight years old? If it was recorded in two thousand and ten, that file doesn't lie bro in the morning, in the morning, on what date it was modified in two that that that's an old piece of audio. That's an old piece of that. We forgot about that again. Hold on now, just say you didn't record that. He took you that audio from you on the air doing Babba bla. I think you must have gone in the studio with him. You don't remember five years Holy ship, my brain is fried. I don't remember recording that. So I got to teach you how to be t J j old producer? Yeah, who's in Boston? Now? So here's what I did. I can't believe we gotta bring affect you the show. I guess we do. Yeah, here we go, ready, Skiary Jones, Willie, And if you try to speak seriously and when he wants to say something, wow, that's rude. You try interrupting and respect to him until he's done. Did your mother teach you that talk too? Scary? I'm so rude. I would like to speak to Oh yeah, Brodian scary. Hey, I just thought of something ba ba ba back damn it scary when Scary is talking Papa a different point of view. But until he's done. Now there you go. I kind of like the other one better you. Yeah, I got that brod This guy he slipped that ship in. I didn't play that banks and refresh my memory. When did I record that? Apparently eight years ago. We gotta bring that back. We gotta tell Elvis blah blah blah blah. Now were you and I gonna work on an album from the people who brought you kids? Blah blah blah blah. Already have a couple of songs in mind for you to saying we'll do it for next Christmas. Sounds good. Hey, listen, I gotta go Christmas shopping at some point, did you finish your ship? That finished my Christmas shopping? Sure, I'm a Joe, We're done. But I shot Chinese food and movies on Christmas Day. I'm I was gonna say, what are you gonna do? And do you so you don't presents from anybody for anybody? No, No, you just don't. You're out, You're done. Yeah, I used to gotta buy my aunt Milia TV. Then, by the way, but before I respond to your question, it's not that I don't have Christian friends and I don't buy them gifts. That's what I was asking. I just don't exchange gifts with my friends regardless. We just don't do that. Yeah, you know, yeah, we don't do it with my friends either. We used to back in the day. We used to buy back in the day. And I was like, I got kids that gott to buy gifts, right, gifts I really feel. And first of all, I got a big shout out to Sam Producers. Sam. Yeah, I've got free ship for us. Yeah, free for you. That was really nice. I don't know. She bought me furniture from my deck. I wouldn't call it a da I have a turn, you know. I I live in an apartment building and I have a tiny terrace and for years I'd never put anything out there, and I've got scolded for it, like why don't you put some first? Might just sit out here and enjoy this view. Well, I decided never, never to buy anything, and she heard the call for that, and she bought me for Christmas a glider. And I don't think I even know what a glider is, but it's like this like a double seat with a bench and a nice back chair to it. It was nice of her. I never heard the term. Okay, so two things. One, you have no kids, because if you had kids, you know what a glider is. So you know when you're in a rocking chair, it's just it's a curved leg at the bottom of curve base and so you're like rocking to the front of the curve and then the top right, okay, and it's like what right this motion? But you're you're, you're, you're. It's a little bit jarring if you went fast. A glider is a different system. On the bottom, it's actually like a like a swing in the base, and so you're actually going forward and back. You're gliding forward and back, so it's not as jarring to a baby's brain, and it's a little more comfortable. So you're getting the rocking motion, you're getting the motion that puts them to sleep, but you're not going forward and back where the brain is gonna slap against myself to sleep. It's a comfortable thing. Well, I can't wait now. I never fell sleeping glider because I was usually holding my kids, and they were screaming at me. Now they're older and they still scream at me. But here's the problem with the glider. And now now she got me a gift and I didn't gift her back, and now I feel like a heel. Well here's the don't Well, why don't you just hug her? I did? I kissed her too. Oh, then she's then then she's ahead of the game. But I can't think I can't sucks. But when you get gifted and you don't gift back. But here's the bigger problem. She shipped it to here instead of your apartment by mistake. That's kind of that's a calamity right there that I haven't big chair to take home. I don't know. I'll come get it during the week. If there's no greater gift, and the gift of giving that you gave her the gift of giving by letting her give you a gift. That's what I get everyone for Christmas. I let them give me gifts. Dissect that because I could use that line the old Okay, thank you, by the way, that's the David Brody original trademark. They always say that in the book. People get enjoyment for giving someone a gift and watching them be get enjoyment. Right. But when you give someone a gift, you receive a gift, you like it for a few minutes, but then, like you, you don't play with it or you don't wear it, and eventually you forget who gave it to you. Right, But that that gift, at that feeling you get when you give a gift, I give that feeling. I love that, Right, So I give that feeling to people by letting them give me gifts. Huh. So you gave them a gift to give them the greatest gift them giving me a gift, You've gifted them the gift of feeling. Right, great for giving you you know what? You know what I got? You have a Christmas Give me something that feeling you just got. You're welcome give me a gift. You're welcome. No, it's a gift. It's not a gift. By the way, Uh so many people. Elvis made a comment on the air, we can we talk about can we talk about in front of you? If you if you play that we have a snow flicker. Oh my god, I can't take the snowflakes, can't you can't I hate it. We did a fifteen minute morning show podcast to discussed and we talked about things you want to leave. So let's talk about some of the snowflakes we had this week on the Elvis raight In Morning Show. Elvis said, it's Jeff because the creator of the file program that created g I f S says he wants to call it a JIF. Now, I everybody knows with a brain, no offense. If you don't know, I apologize. A lot of people know that gift stands for Graphic Interchange file. I think out three of our listeners know that. Think that's why I corrected myself. People don't. I meant the people in our studio know that it's graphic and interface or it doesn't matter. I think it's you know, and so no matter what the eye and the F stands for, I believe it's Graphic Interchange file. But misconception people, Jesus for everyone's Gesus for graphic it's g GIFF. I am a student and a fan of calling it a gift. For the first ten fifteen years of gifts, they were gifts, right, and it sounds like gift. You're giving someone a gift. Right, Jeff is a peanut butter, and that's clearly spelled with a J. Based on that alone, I'm not calling it a jiff, but there are words that start with the G that sounds like Jeff, thank you, graff, giraff I get it? Yeah, okay, George. By the way, it's graphics interchange format. Okay, graphics interchange format. Okay. So everybody sends gifts, jiffs, whatever, so so people like it's a kiff, it's graphic get and lose their joy by choose Jeff. Yeah, we got a hundred text messages that it's it's gift, it's gift, it's gives a gift, and then they have to explain it's hard g liking great girl, right, and then you know it's a soft g like giraffe. Okay. Then the guy who created it, by the way, fuck the guy that created it, because he should have just called it a fucking gift and be done with it. Then now he says, well, I guess either one is acceptable. What's the name of the guy who created it? Is his name give GasHole? So I don't don't you know what that's the thing. I don't care what his name is, and by the way, don't tweet me. I don't care. Yeah, okay, by the people seem to love when I do that somebody, that's fine. Person was his name so so it doesn't matter what his name is, but it was it like he named it after himself, so his excuse further confused everybody. Yeah, you can look it up. He says that in an interview that it's a JEF. But then somebody texted in. So the guy who invented the scuba suit, he can change it to uh, yeah, he can change it to suba and make the C sound like you know, soft sea. It's self contained underwater breathing apparatus. Right now, people going, holy shit, you had no idea, did you? If you did, By the way, I know you're not one of those people. But a lot of people don't know that SCOOBA stands for something. It's it's it's each letter stances. It says self contained that self contained underwater breathing apparatus. Did not know that either. I think about less people knew that. Then what a gift did for? I know way too much. I'm an only child. By the way, people who say I was an only child. You're still an known child. Doesn't change you were annoying who says that? People go, oh, I was I grew up, I was an only child. You still know child. Let's just lets your family had four kids unless your father remark English police nless your father had remarried. And yet now you have to you you just talked me about the Scooba s c u B, a self contained underwater breathing apparatus. Those meddling kids, not Scooby Ye Scooby so um ruby rack so snowflakes. It was on the snowflakeing moment this week we were talking about, Oh, we were talking about free box Friday, right, and did somebody make a vagina joke on that one? No, but you just did free box Friday. Every times we talked about is the last day before vacation, when all the things for Elvis come in the mail and nobody's here to get it with us because we stay the latest. Now we take whatever we can still there. And so I told the story about how two years ago somebody sent up a lot of food and Scary and Eye took the food because it was perishable. And then some guy texted in, oh, well, why why couldn't you donate the steaks? And why do you need him? People? You guys are well off, you're living high. I'm a hug over there and that studio. Right, you guys are okay, you get free stuff all time. First of all, it was frozen. Some of the stuff was frozen. Some of the stuff was perishable. It wasn't donat about Yes, do you want to build a snowman? Okay, I'll pass all right, So you know everyone, couldn't you just give the away? Why do you can? You couldn't it be? Okay, it's like giving a snowflake. Here we go, snow We had a woman up and this driving me crazy. This is this is one of those This is a broody thing. Not a rant, it's a thing. It's a thing. Almost every charity online is bombarded for some reason with fake news. Every charity I read that the CEO makes ten million dollars. Right, if you believe the internet, there's not one legal charity. There's not one charity there. I heard Susan Coleman didn't even have cancer. I heard, yeah, okay, you heard, stop with the fake news. Go to snopes dot com and looks like I heard Snopes is owned by the deep State. Stop it snow stop been my best friend for several years now. You could type in anything there get the truth, they do the research whatever. Okay, So like, well, I heard I heard that the CEO of that charity makes a lot of money, So why that they donate them instead of having such a big salary. Okay, that's how life works. Life works is if you're gonna run a major company, if you're going to run a major global charity, you should get money for running that charity that does all this good work. You may make a million dollars. And I'm not saying anyone that we've had on the show makes a million dollars. I'm saying, let's say you make a million dollars the ceo of a charity, right, A big charity, not like a little neighbor charity, a massive global charity. You're running thousands of people in fifty countries. You think someone for twenty dollars is gonna do that job and fly all over the country and be away from their family and have that skill set. No, you want good people who are gonna help a million people, you've gotta pay them. But if you don't pay that person a million dollars. That million dollars doesn't go to the kids. Doesn't work that way. And so I said, if the CEO of Apple takes less money, you think your iPhone is gonna be less money? Doesn't like to stop hating on CEOs of charities. They have a right to make money. They absolutely do. No, I'm with you on that a thousand percent. You're only with them five percent. You're lying that thousand percent doesn't know or otherwise you're gonna hire the person who tells you to pull ahead and set park your car next to the trash cans at a fast food restaurant. They're gonna be running the freaking uh charity. Why we saw your face light up? It was something about, oh, didn't we have a listener? Didn't we have a listener? Who who've chased booked us or tweeted us? Or so who said that they got fined for not moving the car? Yeah, they fined for causing and disturbance of the article in the patch in the patch dot com. That's it patch dot com, which is there's a new is a patch for major cities. There's a New York, New Jersey patches a California different the patch this one was Indiana or something, And so the person got in trouble because they caused the scene. Then they got into altercation. They didn't want to move. One person got their finger cut. It was a hole to do the funk out of here. Let me say something, by the way, if that person was it was a slice, I feel bad. Don't slice a finger though. No, If you don't, let me say we talked about that last episode, right, Yes, if if your person, if you're someone that that that is asked to pull a round and and parked by the garbage pail, I don't know, pick a picture of them, like they'll be like, you know what, you know what, I'm reporting you to corporate. You're trying to like scam your over. That's not a corporate policy. That's not that's not that's not. That's that's the the workers. They're dicking off because they don't know how to do sh it on time, and no one's properly trained and they can't get your food out. Fuck that right, you report them to corporate. The only time, only time it's legit is if they're like, listen, we messed up. We feel terrible. We'll bring you food over. We don't want to hold up the line. We have to remake your order. That's explainable because they don't want you to be there for three minutes, like two minutes and twenty seconds and out I was seeing I saw something where I think it was I don't know if it was Wendy's or one of the fast food places. Actually have detectors under the so and I've seen it, and and the c e O s and the people that are running the ship, they actually are watching over and they're taking a look average time for a car to get through there, and if it's slow, well, guess what, they get a fucking visit from the regional manager to bust balls and knock heads into You have to figure out where the corruption starts, because if the corruption starts at the general manager store manager level, right then telling the manager, because I told you that that story about Taco Bell where the manager came over and it's like, what's the problem. It's like, he won't move, why won't you move? The manager was in on it. But let's say you report to the regional manager, which I did, and I got coupons. They sent me a lot of coupons, is very nice to them free dessert. But let's say the regional manager doesn't want Let's say the area manager. Now the area manager, that means they run like ten stores in that general area. They could be in on it if they don't want. The regional manager who runs the whole northern problem. It's always a cover your grass, right, So you don't know if the area manager teaches his managers are hard managers to do that so his area looks fast. But then the regional manager doesn't know about it, right if they get bonused on that ship. But let's say the regional managers in on it, so that the the big corporate guys who run the whole country does the court? Where does the corruption end? Right? Does Mr? Bell is his? Is the t Bell Taco? Right? Is he that got in by I know that that they're not only buy teeth. I know, don't don't tweet me. But my point is where does the corruption stop? I know it stopped somewhere because I got free coupons? But were they giving me coupons to shut me up? Those people at the store level many they're all in on it. They don't want to by the way, it's no, it's no one. It's no one. Change because all of them. Yeah, and then because then we're gonna have a retraining session, and we can't have that. So we gotta get the cars as quickly through the drives possible. So go park next to the garbage cans. And by the way, if you can't follow any of this conversation and know nothing about what we're listening about, you're not listening in order. You better listen to Order. You better start from zero and end up here. Yeah, hello, listen Order. You need to listen Order. You need do we should do? Don't make us? Please listen to Order. Um, what do you have someone? I don't think we have any unused jokes? Do you have some ran o? I have a lot of rants I have I have unused drawings. And I want to call someone out who's guilty of doing something I've called you out for. Should we talking about that? Okay, so now you listen to Order. You know Scary has a problem with black people. No, I don't let explain listen to every Episodelet explain what is hung me up to Tory. You've got to correct yourself real quick. Hold on what I mean? Is when Scary meets a group of people, he will go hello, Hello, Hello, And then when he's a black person, he'll go, hey, what's up my man? That I did? You did it a sexift avenue? You did? You would ate my man? You do? And when Spruce comes in, our buddy Spruce, you go, hey, what's up my man? We know him because he's fair. He's fair, so so hold on. So here's the deal. By the way, everyone asking for pictures of Spruce, it ain't gonna happen. I tried to get one for you all you other people people, the slices for Life. I was with Brody and and and Spruce in the hallway and I had my camera in my hand. I'm like, Spruce, come on the three of us for a picture for Instagram. Brooklyn boys Instagram. Right now, let's do it. The listeners want to see you. And what did he say? I don't take pictures? He's motherfucker? Is that on social media? He's not right? What's his problem? Okay, we'll turn the lights on the same. So I caught a major TV celebrity. That's very racist. I caught a major TV celebrity doing what you've done. So I'm watching the Late Late Show on CBS for James Gordon. If you watch James Cordon after he does his monologue. So he's just so you guys know, I watched Seth Meyers, but then I'll switch over to James Cordon afterwards or the next day. I'm telling James, Yeah, tell James anyway. So James is great, does a great monologue and usually does a great first bit, hilarious first pit. So but what he does is he has all his guests on the show at the same time, so he doesn't have like brings out one, brings out one, brings out one. He says, all right, everyone on the couch at the same time. But what he does is after the mom he goes, all right, let's see who's on the show, and he'll go, oh, Scary Jones is on the show, and that the green room door will open and Scary Jones comes out, Hello, Scary Jones promoting a new movie. I love you great, thanks for being on the show. A little chatter. Also on the show, David Brodie Bony, I love you with Scar After that, well, he saves the best falasce. It works in show business, Intel Talk shows, Nothing Late night, the prime guest gets the first seat. Thank okay, you know you don't continued Okay, So he had he had three guests. He had three guests on the show the other night, Julia Roberts, Jason Momoa and another person on the show. And by the way, Julian Roberts is the biggest star. So she went first. That proves my point. No, it proves the point. I needed an example. I used you, all right, and I thought, you know, I need know example. I'll use me. I threw your bone there continue alright, So here's James Gordon. He just gave the wrap up of why Julia Roberts was there, and he's into he's introducing all three of them. Here we go, everybody, and you from a brilliant actor, you know from Justice League, Frontier and Game of Thrones. He is quite possibly the coolest man on planet Earth. Jason Mama is here to Jesson Mama the time from an incredible actor, you know, from the Greatest Showman. They get down and now Aquaman the Wonderful Yeah yeah, abdum team the second he's here the sea. Yeah, how are you mam? Okay man cut listen again, how a man like people mad the black guy, but man, no, no, listen again to Julia Roberts, Jason Momoa, everybody and the orine. You're a brilliant actor, you know from Justice League front Here and Game of Thrones. I should say he did talk to Julia Roberts, and he did talk to Jason Momoa. I took them out for for for time's sake, it wasn't like you only talked to them, so he said, he talked to Julia time everybody, and you're a brilliant accor, you know from Justice League Frontier and Game of Thrones. He is quite possibly the coolest man on planet Earth. Jason Mama is here the front does by I'm gonna go from an incredible accer, you know, from the Greatest Showman to get down and now Aquaman. They're wonderful. Yeah yeah, abdorm team the second Yeah, how are you? My man? Right? And he scary jobs them And I stand by that that that is perfectly fine. That I stand by my belief. It's totally cool because honestly, if you think about it, it's just you're just getting it. You trying to acclimate yourself into their world. So what makes you think Yah, yah man because and how come in and say mahallow to Jason Momoa because he's Hawaiian, isn't he Well, he's an islander. My point is he didn't say to me, Julia Roberts, like hello, Caucasian. He didn't saying Jason Momoa man because I don't know, because you come with a vibe. Sometimes you have an air about you, like a vibe. You know, you're vibing with the person you're you know, if a if a person has like stick that they do right like you would, you would try And it's kind of like a relatable moment. I don't I don't see that as racist. Jason Momoa born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Okay, so so how come you to go mollow? He maybe should have mamoa. Mamoa has got an islander name, he's gott he's got a vibe, he's got fish scale tattoos on his own. I'm trying to think of his aquaman. I'm trying to think of a perfect um, a perfect what do you call example example? Yeah, I'm trying to I can't think of talking at the same time, clearly, especially not at this sime. Lucky for you, talking is not part of your job exactly. I just sit here and I stare, Um, I'm just saying, if you are trying to immerse yourself in that person's world, I think it's okay. The same way. I don't have a good example. Yeah, you're not really immersing yourself in the world. I don't think. Yeah, yeah the guy. The guy first of all, sounds like he has an African name. I don't know. His background, doesn't matter, don't tweet me. My point is he just was like, my man. I just feel like some people like it's just they don't think twice about it. And I give you shipped for it and James Cordon guys on TV show people hemn yah yah. You think people complained about that? No, I don't think people picked up on it. But I have an ear for that, so I picked up on it. All right. Well, it's not as man. He's never bet him before. Maybe he has, I don't know, but he's a man. How come Jason always I'm if he was like, Mamma, my man, that would have been like great, that sounds even better. J Jason, mamma man, Moho get ms everywhere, mamma my man. Mollow dropping ms he didn't do it, murder inc he didn't do it. Yeah, yeah, my man, Yeah, yeah, I'm a man. So there you go, Ja James James Cordon has the scary Jones problem, and I want to play that for Spruce next time he's on, We'll get Spruce in here. Cool Spruces by the way, checked out. He's already like halfway to I think, uh, he's either he's either going to Virginia or Louisiana. Shouldn't we be getting out of here? Yeah, let's get someone used jokes in because they'll be done. So I thought we don't. I thought we didn't have to get a couple of a couple of We didn't get too much hit that. Here we go hit that. We did a story about the creator of vasilne. Uh he's he died and I said, oh, I heard he slipped into a coma before he died. Greg T said, he feels like Charlie Browns. I feel like Charlie brown I was like, yeah, because with their handing up brains, he got a rock. We're gonna get to that joke. Uh. Elvis's fiance Alex was on a bar. There's a picture of him on Elvis Duran's Instagram and he's wearing nothing but a Santa hat over his penis, and everyone's making jokes about him dancing on the bar. And then he has a giant penis in the hat. So I said, oh, he is coyote hungley. Wait, didn't get to that. I love punt and you know what, not many people appreciate. Do you have your guy chest hair thing from the other day? I need that. I can give you a ship for that too. Hold on and then and then Elvis was talking about how much he loves Christmas fudge. He loves Christmas fudge and so as we know, he's spending the week with Alex in Santa Fe. So my joke was, when you went to Santa Fe, did you pack your fudge? Hen't to that joke. I can see why, all right, So that's my joke. Guys, Guy chest the guy checks play chest guy chet Guy chest hair is a takeoff on a nineties seventies game show host where they would just act ridiculous. You throw in stupid rhyming words together and just use alliteration, and you know it was. It was a very fast talking, high energy moment, right a lot and then you give away funny prizes. It's every seventies eighties game show Blue tuxedo. You know that, you know that the look and the type anyway, so anytime when we started the Celebrity Jeopardy game on the air the other day, which we played with a bunch of people from the show, Um, I did a nice you know, I wrote up a nice little guy chest hair, which is my character. That is my. He's my, he's my is what Will Ferrell is to anchor man Scary Jones is to guy chest. That's correct. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, cats and dogs and chickens and goats. Live from the Palatial Studios Hi above Gotham. Welcome to the Propeller Card by Will's Fargo, powered by American Express, Celebrity Jeopardy, providing customers rich rewards and out. It's a game of Mart's, a game of skill, a game that's sort of thrill. And now it's time to bring on your hostess with the cupcakes, the atta of Rock and Roller, with the gift of Gab at the radio lab. The man with the plan in the back of a van with a mic in his hand. Mr Elvis Treba okay, read the less sentence, the guy with the all of that, the man with the plan, Okay, man with the plan in the back of the back of a van with the mic in this with the mic in his hand. Mr Elvis trebec trebek right, Duran Duran rhymes. You rhymed everything with duran. But that was the that was the point. That was it. You fucked up? No, I didn't. You did. I wrote it that way on purpose. I wrote it that way. It sounded terrible. People would text again, Mr al Man with the plan back in the van. Mr Elvis, People would expect me to say duran. But I went the other way with it. That was the joke. That's not funny. It sounds like you sucked up, Mr Elvis. But you didn't do a tack. You said the man with the plan back in the van. That was true, Bak Elvis. Should I have done that? Yeah, that would have been funny. Show people. You knew it was duran. But but the way you read it, that was the way the way you wrote it. The way it sounded to me on the air was that you wrote this great rhyme right, put duran and then you're like, oh, I should probably make him tree back and then forgot that you had rhymed everything. No, no, no, I did that on purpose. And if the joke didn't come across, I'm sorry, but it was supposed to be and you were aware of it. By the way it was, it was, it was shit. Fuck you. I did that on purpose, Okay, oh sure you did. I did. I just want to of course I went the other way on purpose. I just wanted to be like all these rhyming things and oh that before my rant. I want to just complain about iTunes. We now have eight negative comments what the fund is going on? Hold on? And eight eight one star reviews and one three star review. The three star reviews, these guys are the best. I love them. One of them. We talked about seven he said no, he changed his review. He gave us five stars. One person complained about I told you didn't like the commercials. We talked about that person. One person says, these guys are great. These guys are great, but I don't like the Brodie always thinks he's right, Okay, all right, that's it's in the that but that's the show we do. That's the that's the stick. Excu and I argue with each other. That's what we do. We argue because that's we do. But okay, but what I wanted, I can't print them. I gotta take a screenshot what he days. But to be honest with you, a lot of them were like bullshit reasons not to like our show. They can go fund themselves. Well, I understand that. We listen, we have so met we have on the positive, we have over a thousand positive reviews on iTunes, so we're averaging a five star rating. Eight people like you wipe my ass with those eight reviews. Okay, look, we like feedback, but the feedback was bullshit. It wasn't like I wish they would. It was just not you know, and I'm not gonna see any iTunes review for any app ever. Half of them are bullshit. Have them are bullshit reasons for giving one. So, by the way, don't put a negative, don't put negative reviews. So we'll read your review. We'll we'll read your review. If it's good, we'll do that. Negative reviews done, that's a double negative. That means I'm gonna read them. That's right, you said, yeah, alright, sixty eight you got them coming up because I meant that, just like I meant Elvis Duran back all right? That was it just didn't sound right. I'm just saying, so, what's ailing you. It's the end of the season, the end of the year. This is the last podcast, the last Brooklyn Boys podcast for the years. The problem though, I have a lot of rants on my phone here ready to go. I have a department store ranks and now I'm gonna go for the customer talk about that was one of the complaints. You know, I ran every okay, So here's my problem. Here's my problem. I bought some things, okay, and I needed a copy of the receipt. I needed to see what the prices were itemized because one of them what doesn't matter. I needed to see the prices. Okay. I brought a bunch of stuff and they fell into different categories in my life and my wife and we had to figure out what we spent on what. Now. The company was supposed to email me the receipt. They did not email me the receipt. So I didn't have a paper copy. Because they go would you like a paper copy? Email a recipt? They don't say would you like both. There wasn't an option before you, like, why din't you just get a copy that you have cappy. I wanted an email so would always be on my phone if I needed to pull it up at any moment. Okay, they didn't email it to me. I checked my spam fall, I checked everywhere, scumbags. So I called their customer service. Okay, I get I used to get a copy of the bill. I don't know what country I got. Okay, But the woman says to me, uh, could you spell out your email address? She wants to look up my account. So my private email address non show non public starts with the letter C, right, so we'll just say that, uh cookie chicken palm okay for cookie. So let's say let's say my my my email was cookie. Okay, So I say, uh, so I could tell that she's not paying doesn't understand what I'm s so I said, okay, it's c and I go, oh, okay, I eat whatever. Okay, So she she goes, I'm gonna read it back to you in an accent I don't recognize. So there's a communication problem. So, uh so you know what I did. I spelled it. I said, see is in cat ohwas an oatmeal? Whatever? Whatever my my email addresses. Right, So she reads it back to me and she goes, okay, let me just confirm ka oh and reads back to with the K. So I said, do you think cats spelled with a K? And I had dead silence, so she thought when I said as in cat, she thought it was a K. So al right, I know I'm not going to get what I need, So I said, can I get a copy of my So we go through the whole things. She goes, this is not the right department you need to call because I had called the credit card company. She says, no, you have to call the store you bought it in. Call their customer service for the company itself, not the credit card. The credit doesn't have the receipt, even though the credit card is from the company, right, okay, So I call the company's customer service, not the credit cards customer service. Guy answers the phone. He says, as a Joe, right casual, it's Joe, so I said. He says, how can I help you? I say, Joe, I need a copy of my receipt. It was an email to me and I'm trying to verify some charges. So he says to me, Okay, no problem. I just need the invoice number. And I say, Joe, where would I get the invoice number from? He says, it's right there in the top right corner of your receipt. He said, Joe, if I if I need the invoice number to look up my receipt, I don't have my receipt. Joe, easy, you don't, Joe. I'm calling you to get my receipt. Looking my receipt is to ask me for the invoice number that's on the receipt. Are you paying attention? Hello, I can't give you the invoice number on the receipt. I don't have the receipt. Surely you must be able to look it up some other way. He says, Uh, hold on, let me look into that. Then he says, so you don't have any copy of the receipt. No, Joe, I don't have a copy of the receipt. That's why I'm calling you, he says, Jesus, it sure would be helpful if you had that number. Well, that's fucking thank you, Captain obvious. If I go, you know, I said, I said, I said, yes, it would It wouldn't be helpful if I had the invoice number, because that would be and I would have to receipt that your company was supposed to email me. I wouldn't be calling you if I had the invoice number. Wouldn't you be on the receipt your company didn't email me? And he says, you know, that's pretty funny. You should be a comedian. I have a comedian. There's nothing funny about this. I wanted my receipt. Do you have it? I said, there's no way you can look it up. I gotta be honest with you. In all my years, the easiest way to look it up his invoice. Dumb Joe, Is there some way I could have the invoice number if I didn't have the receipt? And he says, no, how in the past, if you looked up receipts without an invoice number, if the invoice number is on the receipt, he says, that's a good question. Yeah, that's a good question. I just want my receipt. She says, all right, I was able to pull it up by your name in the stall location. Oh so you could have pulled it up by my name after all that, But you asked me for my invoice number. So he says, uh, all right, So I said, yeah, I bought five items. Because he says, which receipt is it? You shop here a lot? I said, the one on blah blah blah date. I bought five items. So he says, all right, which which item would you like a receipt for? Joe, I would like a receipt? What has all five items? They didn't ring me up five times. I'm calling you for the receipt, not one of the receipts. Joe. By the way, the guy's stakes, Joe, I'm not making that up. Joe as a choe of the raised an asshole, I don't understand. Say where did I go wrong? Where did I go wrong? Now? Uh, you went wrong because you shopped at the wrong place because some some other place would have uh you know, email ahead of Let me tell you some When you went to richards Son, not a sponsor of mine. That receipt was in my email a minute after. I go Yes, not only that, they handed you us a copy, Yes, handed it to me. You get both. You get both again, not a sponsor mine, Elvis took a shopping there. I'm just saying, yah, know, you went wrong because you went to some place that sucked. You know what, it's not a small place. It's not. It's a fairly big place. They don't send me the email. The guys like, it's on your receipt. Are you fucking listen to me? Joe? Yeah, well how much do they pay Joe? I don't know. And running a worldwide charity, I'll tell you that. So first I first I thought, yeah, thank you, because otherwise, right first, I thought maybe he's attempt like, you know, for the holidays. I said, have you ever he goes? Not in all my years, I know he's not a tempt They don't listen. They're looking at that sheet that says if one Well that's the thing. They create these flow charts for them that are robotic. I get it if I'm calling another country and I get you know, Julia, Uh this is Julia. No, it's not okay. But when the guy's like, yeah, this is Joe, unless he's an amazing because I called an American office, and you know, unless they rerouted and this guy is a professional voice guy where he's like, hold on at this call, Hello, this is Joe, Like that's amazing. But this guy sounded like, hey, I'm Joe and he's asking me for the invoice number on the receipt so he can pull up my receipt. I don't have anyway. That's he's making extra cash for the holidays. He'll be gone in January. Listen. You can go back. Yeah, you can go back and listen to the other sixty six episodes. We we would love that you would. I still think you some of you are skipping the episode that we did on Halloween, the bonus episode. Man, it's a great episode. What about what about these episodes that, for some reason work didn't populate at the time, Like we're hearing there was an issue with six. There's a problem on the iTunes podcast. Don't just skip over it. Don't give up on radio there and listen to that. If you're hearing if you went from seven, you missed something. We did two episodes. This okay. The thing about sixty six on iTunes podcast on your phone, the podcast app, for some reason, sixty six isn't showing up. It's online, it's on my it's on my desktop. When you were titling and somebody said that you sent an episode out there with no title of description, nope, I had, I had There was a problem with it. It when it went it didn't populated, so I had them refresh it and it was fine. Well, I think we had a little little there's a so we're working on the collections. But he's what I will tell you. So I have some great news save a ton of money. Carn't Other than that, No, I didn't. They're overcharging me, and I complained about that. I've been complaining about this on your behalf slices for over a year. Don't tell me the I Heart thing is fixed. The I Heart thing rolls out early in nineteen for Apple and then shortly after Android. By the way, I came plained about that. I said you should roll out for Android first because there's more Android users on I Heart than Apple uses. In fact, there's more Android users in America than Apple users. That's the world in the world, it's about Apples. No, it's not all about Apple, Okayfertino forever alright. So anyway, the functionality, you will soon have the option of going in reverse order or in forward order. That's what I wanted to hear, or is I like to call it podcast order, So like the logical order. Right now, by the time you hear this. You're all caught up, but you may hear this when we're up to number ninety and you're like, oh my god, I can now drive my truck and I have to worry about going to the next episode automatically like Netflix, go to the next one. So look out for that nineteen. They'll be an update. They have finally figured out and fixed and we love the I heart people. Nate Topen shout out love Nate. But we're working on the podcast episode sixty six. But you should be listening on our heart radio anyway, because that helps us pay the pity New Year's resolutions. Uh, you know what, I'd like to tell you that I'm gonna work on not getting upset about things, but we got a show to dope. I was gonna say that will be the end of the podcast. Imaginely I come in and go, hey, you know what I I spoke to a therapist and I'm mellowed out. Now I don't let everything roll off my back. And you're like, that's a born podcast. So, um, I have a resolution. It's not a resolutions. It could be a promise. Okay, what's the promise? Not gonna hug in turns No, I I think a goal of hours should be in the year twenty nineteen to do a live Brooklyn Boys podcast somewhere that I think that that is achievable. I think we're on our way to it. We wanted to do it right. We didn't want to do it half asked. That's why we haven't done one yet. That's why we didn't do one. But you know, with thirty five, with thirty three episodes away from a hundred, that's what I was thinking. But it doesn't have to be a hundred. No, it doesn't not ready at a hundred, but we're ready at one oh seven. Listen, if we're gonna do it, a hundred's gonna be close to that. Let's say sometime in the summer. I'd like summer and nineteen. Let's just do something and we'll plan it ahead of time, and we'll try and get as many of you guys as possible, and I could promise you the venue we choose, we'll be giving everyone free desert, get free dessert. That's right. And I'm still working on I'm working on getting the right publicist from my book. Hopefully in nineteen will I get the book going and Brodie will will eat a state dinner and you all watch him. That's right, and scared We'll pay for it. No freebees. Yeah, all right, we love you all. Honestly, it's been it's been a great rite um. So many people were kicking off our third year. Next year will be our third calendar year of doing this. And just because you know, you know what, I'm also gonna do, try and do. I'm gonna try and be uh here's my resolution faster. I'm gonna try and be more responsive on Twitter because I heart everybody. I will say you've gotten a lot better since I'm trying this podcast and the fact that I get back to everybody trying to keep ups a lot. It's a lot. And I'm not on this on social media as much as everybody claims I am. And by the way, your resolution listening you you guys have to get a little bit better at making sure you quote the tweet you're referencing or reply all because a lot of times you'll go, so what do you guys think? And then we have to click on conversation and go back and see what you're talking about. I love I love everybody. You're so cool and I must say that I really do feel like we're talking to our friends every day. It's like I like when people come out of nowhere and they're like, yeah, I listen all the time, and I just I'm in an overnight shift and like you know, you got it from the old neighborhood and you know, or even when you tweet us, I feel like you know every one of you and you tweet us like f you ab seventy seven and you tweet us about Stacy's pizza and your reference things that we've done, and you get the specific ship. Listen, you know what, I don't care. I will hold my ground. Seltzer is not far. But but if Sarah Tuga wants send me unsparkling, it's really I enjoyed more of that. Yeah, Hello Saratga, Hello for us anyway. Twenty nineteen hopefully a year of great podcast, more free ship for us, health and happiness to everyone. But thank you very much for supporting our podcast and happy. That's the way we were raised. Roll raised the right way, my mom's raised. My mom's nor from Brooklyn, daw Boys Rock Brooklyn, Brooklyn naw Boys Brock Brooklyn, Push
