Speaker 1: Start up. It's not up, Brooklyn Boy, it's not a Brooklyn buy data. They're making noise data up episode one oh five, one oh five, it's the Brooklyn Boys podcast with your second podcast this week? How about that? About that? But it's not But it's actually even because now we're even one last year last week, right, but I was sick and people excuse me. No dessert, No dessert for you, No dessert for you. So the fact that people excused us for missing the episode means that we actually did right by doing the makeup on Monday. What you didn't make up today? I see you like that you got My cheeks are all red? Yeah they are, your bitch? Why are your cheeks are red? Uh? It's cold or I'm embarrassed around you. I'm embarrassed around you. You You smell like cabbage. You're funny according to according to what was that this morning? We can show up. We played a show opening on the Big Show, you know when we first signed on the air, and it's like a montage of all these sound effects the slipped about in the past. Why are we doing this here? Well, well, because apparently you had a problem with so Danielle is heard in one of these opening montages. It's Gandhi. I think it's Dan Yell or Gandhi. One of the ladies. Listen, Brody smells like cabbage. And it played on the air. No what the what it was Gandhi and she said, I told Brodie smells like cabbage and he's butt heard. That's what the line was. Now here's the thing that never happened. No one, no one ever said that to me, and I was never but heard about it. But I don't know where that drop came. But she said it on the radio because our guy, Josh, coach boy Josh, who puts those montages together, grabs sound of our show, sounds from our show, and he'll because a lot of times they'll put stuff of me in there. And I'm like, I don't remember saying that, So Gandhi might have said it on air when you weren't listening. Josh grabbed it and said, I'm gonna make this part of the opening show montage, which you know, I thought it was funny. So how fast did he run to you to tell you that I said something? Well, I asked him about it. Why would you have asked him about it? What would have made you never nobody us would have asked him. How would you know to ask him that? I asked you didn't know? I asked him, well, so how would you want to ask him? I overheard you guys conversation because I texted him. No, he just he just talked to you about it right here. Nope, No he didn't be gues he did. Nope. I said, hey, thanks man, and he said good, Okay, we didn't just do I gotta know. So I went in there and asked him what it was all about, like, yeah, ok yeah, because I'm nosy, I'm like, what was Brodie talking about? So a month ago that ran and I had said to him, Hey, I don't think that's funny or accurate and I don't like that, and he said get over it, and I said, yeah, I kind of want you to take it out and he said fine, like approachingly. And it hasn't run in like a month and a half. So this morning we played that and I went that was taken out. You smell a cabbage, right, to which he replied, thank you, but I hate cabbage. If you tell me I smelled like something I like, I'd be like, okay, smell like an egg roll'll be fine, smell like we got some. Okay, we'll get we'll get to the hold. We're still on this topic. So I said, could you do be fair? You please take it out? And he said, well, in history and my tenure career, no one's have asked me take anything I go. That's not true. First of all. Second of all, I said, it doesn't sell my character. But it's a hard it's a harmless but it doesn't fit who I am. See, here's the thing. I'm not in any montages. Well you're starting to you know what. I would take that as a as a high on. I'm gonna read some very nice tweets that people have sent me this past week that meant a lot to me. People are noticing me on this podcast and Walkers and Talkers and the fifteen minute morning show. Right in fact, one of our listeners, I'll read it specifically what she said. I'm binging years worth of fifteen minute morning shows and I can't believe how how much you're making me laugh. I'm gonna check out the Brooklyn Boys. Right. If you listen to the Big Show, you may not hearing me the two or three times I interject. So as a peripheral voice on the show. Regardless of what my impact on the show is or what I do for the show, I'm not a a common speaker on the show. So when putting together montages of the image of the show, I'm not really in the image of the show. Yes, I do phone taps and you know, arguably the pretty good, but I'm not in the main cast of four or five people. You are so to hear me in the if I'm gonna get one shot, one spot right to you know, thanks eminem. If I'm in there for one one line already, if I'm gonna lose myself once in the twenty montages that rotate, I would like it to be something that's either funny or builds my character. So if the only thing people here is Brodie smells like cabbage, that's not the foot I want to put forward. Yeah, hey, hey, sign my shirt. And who's Brody? Oh he's the guy. He's the cabbage cabbage guy, our guy. Nate gets tagged for being a murderer, right right, But look at the murderers in the history of our country, like John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer. Women were still hot for them right. People weren't turned off by mass murderers, but they're turned off right exactly. So if you want to put me in every montage and one of them is that, I can live with it. But if the only thing you hear is my name in reference to smelling like cabbage, I don't think I want to do that. I think that's I don't think that's where I want to go. I don't think that to be my three seconds of fame. All right, Well, let's see whether what comes up in those opening show montages about you. Well he he replaced the drop already. Then it says Brody is a cheap bastard. And I'm like, I'm fine with that. I mean, I was okay with the cheap Okay. I like to think that, why does that one okay? Because I like to think of myself as frugal and smart with money. You know, I'm not cheap. You know I picked tip well, I always give to the breakfast Fund. I always. I'm not cheap. I'm frugal. I also don't spend my money extravagant leaks. I can't. I have a family. But if you want to say broke, you're not gonna buy yourself a theory shirt. No, no, but somebody sent me a picture of one that was on sale. That's the worst kind that That is the worst when you buy expensive clothing and then you just to see it on the sale rack after the season's over, Like I was a fucking sucker. Why did I do that? That's me at the end of every season. Why did I do that? Why because you didn't want to not have it for the season, whereas I'll wait till it goes to Marshall's and get it a five. Remember the smoking jacket, Someone found it on sale for sef like six months later, and that would have that would have left it at about a hundred dollars, which is probably too much for the smoking jack paid a lot. I'm on even at smoking Jacket. But you were Brooklyn Industrial, so it's fine. I needed something for the event. Speaking of which, we have a somber event coming up and I need to talk to you about what to wear. You got it all right, But should we talk about the annual event first called the the Podcast Awards. Where are we at with that? We one of the nominees coming out? They come out, No, they have not. Because I was gonna say if they came out and I don't know about it, it's bad because they listen in order, and I can't say that you do because somebody blew the lid off this whole thing. I'm gonna read what she wrote to me. She blamed technology. So those that listen in order know that we were nominated last year for Best Comedy Podcast, and we came in second to Joe Rogan. We lost by a few hundred votes out of the tens of thousands of votes. We lost by a few hundred on the last day. On the last day because he did a push. Now you follow me on Instagram at David Brody. Scary Casley post that Scary Jones I put up the picture of our our ranking on the I Heart Podcast top one hundred. This week we got to number fifteen, which is our best showing which and and by the way, we didn't have a show last week, the Halloween week, we had more people sing to our podcast when we didn't do a new show. How is that even possible? The Dill episode has more than twice the listening ship listenership download ship. Then the previous five episode that was a week and a half. It was two weeks ago. Because people, I guess, didn't you know what, it gives them a chance to catch up. Well, one person, I'm gonna read it. She said, we should do a podcast every two weeks. She listened to the Dill episode and last week's episode six times each because we have a new episode. Why I'm not I love it. I'm not gonna fault you for doing that. But you heard us say these things already. Do you really do you miss things so you have to go around against you listen? I do, but I don't listen to it a second or third time. I'm trying to maybe maybe people listen in the background and they're like, you know what, I'm gonna listen to this podcast this episode again because I feel like I might have missed some things. It's like when you watch like Family Guy or South Park Simpsons, everything's going by so damn fast that when you watch it a second and third time you pick up on things you didn't. Is that is our podcast? Like that? I think? So? Well, then that's all that's a high on it. Right. Well, I was in the car with Mama Brody and we I was like, you know what, we have an hour drive we were in Manhattan. I was like driving her home, So I said, you know what, why don't you want to hit the latest episode? Just oh yeah, sure, I haven't heard it yet. So I played the Siddel's episode, the Dill episode, and she loves. She said that maybe the best thing we've done really that conversation. She was crying in the car. But that wasn't planned. There wasn't scheduled. It just happened and then we talked about it. But listening back, there were things that I was laughing out loud because you slip things in that I didn't catch. I said things I don't even remember saying, So I understand why people listened multiple times. That being said, I feel like we've got the momentum because if you look at that, you are Are you gonna call a top ten top tener for us? No, I'm not saying that we're gonna break the top ten of the past. I asked some of the people that we know who work on the medium level of I Heart Podcast, like how close are we? Yeah? I said, well, what does one need to get into the top ten? Right? We would need almost three and a half times what we currently have. A ship right, that's not gonna happen. Well, I think over time, if people are listening to this right now, why don't you seriously consider telling someone who normally wouldn't listen to a podcast or be our podcast, about our podcast. So while you're at work for eight hours, if you're in the back on the on the browser like the I Heart page, you can hit play, turn the sound off, and let it play. We get credit for that. Oh, we get a spin. Yeah. Sometimes I'm sitting around the house. I just had play on the phone and I leave it. I should take every one of my devices and hitlay. That's ten a day based on the momentum. Because we weren't even top twenty last year. We would we would, we do do it well. But we feel like you guys, you slices of pushing us if we're not nominated the fixes in Well, it's a little it's gonna be a setting because I'm already setting myself up for this failure. I'm for major disappointment. I feel like a lot of podcasts have come around in the past calendar year and we might not be considered. You have a bell over there, I have a cow bell in the next studio. No, I seed you to just count you count out loud as I'm reading. Which one of these are comedy podcasts that are in the fourteen podcast ahead of us this week? Ron Burgundy podcast that Joe Rogan experienced Pastor's Will beat Us. That, well, it's comedy called comedy crime, Junkie nope, Disgrace Land nope. Uh, modern rules with Stephanie Rule, conversations and culturally complicated times. I don't know, that's not I know Stephanie Rule, no stuff. You should know. The Breakfast Club, Now that's a that's not that's just that's a rebroadcast of their show. Though it's still funny. But that's not but that's not original comedy. That was a different category. That was a different category. That was that was a different I wasn't a comedy comedy alright. The Bobby Bones Show also a replay of the show Hell and Gone. Let's see what Helen Gone? Is not a comedy podcast. Not a comedy podcast. The Ben Shapiro Show definitely not a comedy podcast. Uh not? Is it political? Yes, let's just leave it at that wind down with Janet Kramer. Now that's like, that's like it's a Zinfandel white Claw. Janet Kramer I think was on some reality show. Don't tweet us. I really hope that Brewmate sponsors her podcast. Man hit Man is some kind of music podcast, up and vanished. Uh, the Thrive Global podcast too arguable. Three alright, so Brooklyn Boys at fifteen, that's three, the next, the next, Happy Face. I don't know what that is. Stuff you missed in history class. Daily. So I'm looking for comedy podcasts. It's your Broken Hearts, Math and Magic, Dak Shephard, not funny, not this His podcast isn't really the arm Chair Rover, the Sean Hannity's show. No serial killers, not different serial killers than the one of the Scotty Andrew do murder in Oregon. No, what's your point? My point is I'm looking at the top fifty podcasts, and blatant comedy podcasts three three including arts in the top five. And if you're counting the last three minutes, hours doesn't count as a comedy podcast because there's been nothing funny about what we've said. Well, you told you said I smelled like cabbage. That's what he said. I didn't. But all right, so uh that's why deeven I did. I did pull a small diva and I asked for the clip to be taken out. All right, Well, well, I'm just saying I hope we get nominated. It would be it would be nice. It would be nice, and you know what, it would be nice if we won this time. I gotta be honest. Right ahead, Joe Rogan didn't even show up to the Podcast Awards. I know he should have. You should lose votes for that. He didn't even send anybody. Can we talk about the wings ahead, I'll talk about the wing with the butterfly wing. Yeah, you did something. Where where can people see this picture? Well, right now, it's on my Instagram story. So it's gonna expire by the time you hear this. Well, we don't know when they're gonna hear. Can you get it up on your Instagram? I'm gonna I'm gonna get it up. It's you know what I'm saying. So yeah, So across the street from us in Tribeca, there was an art installation that in rap we call it rap Nobody knows what I mean. Cross streets. The radio station a little mini park and they usually switch out the art installation once a month, once a week. Whatever it is. By the way, art installation is a fancy way of saying some fucking thing I don't know what it is. Sometimes it usually gets abstract painted piano. A couple of weeks ago they did like it looked like the globe, but squished like a beehive. It's fun, it's fun to look at it, play and play what is that? Yeah? What? So? Can I tell you about the boobies? I saw? You can? And you want to finish this part of it? I feel like I feel like I wanna tell about the movies I talked about boobies. Let's pause on the butterfly wings. Go. So the butterfly wing thing was in the park. I hope you float people in keeping track? Yeah? Okay, so these giant white out of beautiful butterfly wings. Or maybe there's a bullets uh no, no smashing pumpkins. No, I'm sorry, sorry, nor is it bullet the blue sky? Okay, okay, so there's a giant one could be angel wings. I don't know. It's not for me to say what kind of wings they are. I think they're angel wings. Who knows? Anyway, what does he have to do with boobies. I'm telling you so women will know what I'm talking about when I tell the story. So the park is full one day, let's say, let's say Monday, full of people, a lot of artsy people with cameras and like what those those there's a there's a there's a film school that likes but I think they're doing a commercial or some kind of promo video with the wings, like it's part of it, okay. And I'm watching people in makeup and costumes and different things. And there's a woman who looks like Lizzo. It wasn't Lizzo, but but but a nice curvy woman, a full figured woman. In other words, she wasn't star, she wasn't uh, you wouldn't think she was a boy if you looked at you. Hear that the second time the podcast. It was good. Yeah, it was good. It was good. So you know, when you're at the beach and you want to change, but there's no place to change, and your friends will hold up a towel or they might stand in your way, and usually what you do is you you stand up against you stand up against the wall, and then they stand in front of you, so the wall blocks your your right. Okay. Well, I'm in the car stopped at the light next to the park and this woman I just described to you with the with the the huge femininities. She is standing behind two guys with their arms crossed who are shielding her as she changes into a one piece leo like a black leotard. Okay, okay, So she's putting her left arm in the left leotard sleeve, right, but you're short and leotard to leo? Yeah, well, my kids do gymnastics. I think leo. I think of locks, eggs, and onions. I think I think of an actual like breakfast. Is there dial on top of that ship? Know? But they have it at Siddel's. So she's squeezing into a squeezing her left arm into the into the leotard for the one piece and so it could have been you know what, don't use the U word. It's you, that's that's that's a No. They don't call them units anymore. No, shut up, no, they they say clothing with challenges. Okay, okay, too soon. Next okay, So, as she's putting her right arm in, her left arm is going up and her right side is now turning a little bit. The problem with what she was doing is there was no one behind her, so they were blocking the front of her but not the back of the side. So I got to see part of her, but at all of her right boob, her massive boob like double Jay's like, uh yeah, could have been the elemental p part like there was some it's a larger alright. So my point is, ladies, when you're getting dressed and the men are blocked on your front, you gotta block the side in the back when you're facing traffics. That actually needed a team of people to get changed, That's what I'm saying, or a blanket something. Hold up. So now now back to the butter butterfly wings. Okay, so that was a side I'm sorry, I don't want to forget it was. It's called side boob I I. Yeah. So basically they one of these aren't installations. Is these are these butterfly wings. They're They're tremendous. And now there's been a rash of this on Instagram so much so that I think they need to save for it. Ah, And that is like a solve is that, you know, like, what are the cream it's been any there have been and I listened back to this podcast. While I get that joke, you may okay. In Nashville, for instance, it's a famous wall that everybody goes to take a picture. You go off on a tangent because I hate that the way you are doing your side traffic. Right, go ahead, and there are butterfly wings and angel wings and they're painting. They're usually painted on a wall and people stand next to stand in front of it and makes it looks like they have the wings so away. By the way, what you just said is what my problem is going. Okay, great, So anyway, this has been popping up all over Instagram and now more and more places around the country. You're trying to create these giant structures of wings or whatever it is so you can take it. You can stand in the middle and take a picture. And you didn't want to do that, right, So so with this art installation, which is these giant butterfly wings, that is that are like they're on a platform platform. Yes, and there there's three dimensional it's an actual thing. It's not painted. I wanted to go into rat Park, go and stand up onto the podium and pose with the wing, pose with the wings. Now, they're just screaming for people to go up there and and pose with it. But the problem is, at the same time you're supposed to respect art, you're not supposed to touch it. So I can't be the first person to jump up. I felt the same way with the boobs. I wanted to touch it, but I respected the art. Go on. Sorry, I couldn't be the first person to jump on top of the pedestal to stand behind the wings to get a picture, because that's what these are there for their art installations. It's kind of a duality. It's like it's an art installation, but it's also interactive, so maybe they want you to stand behind it whatever it is. I was afraid to do it for one that reason, and too because people are gonna stare at me like, oh, he's that guy, and I don't want to be that guy. That guy is. Look at that Instagram model sitting and taking seventeen different angles. She's trying to get the perfect picture. When people taking selfies or people taking picture of you and you just keep going, going, going, people stop in the middle of the street. They're causing obstructions to traffic to get that perfect picture, which is what you would, which is what I will. I'm But the thing is, I care what people think of me at all times. I don't need a lunchtime office crowd sitting out on those benches staring at me and that going through their hand. Why do you care? You don't know? I care because it's like like there's another one. Is that guy he's trying to get that instant pick? What do you care? Though? You don't know those peopleless for half i'm are homeless, but they're not gonna not pay attention to you, no offense to them. So I got a third of them are old people feeding pigeons, and there's a couple of yuppie type sitting there eat lunch, and then a few people that would do the same. So I had producer Sam who was with me. We're walking back and I was She knew I wanted that picture. She could come on, do it? Do we do it? We'll go quick, We'll go quick. And it was just before lunchtime, and it was cloudy and there really wasn't a lot of people in the park. So I said, all right, come on, let's go. Let's really quick, let's go. So I jumped up. Ye got the picture of the picture. But you're gonna put up. But the time you hear this, it'll be up and it'll be scary Jones and maybe at the Brooklyn boys. Okay, here's my problem. What you did was you took a pick you're with a supermodel and covered the part of the picture where the supermodel is. You sucked it up. You see what you did, was you said a minute ago, people all over the country are going in front of wings and taking pictures in front of the wings, so it looks like the wings are behind them coming out of their back. Right. You went through all this drama for how many days, thinking about if you're gonna do it, what people are gonna think. I gotta get up there. I gotta get my moment, my shot, all this drama right, And what you do You got behind the wings and stuck your head through the wings and poked your head through the wings. You're supposed to stand in front of the wings, so the wings look like they're on your back, like you have wings. Now it looks like you have a fucking handuball mustache. You sucked it up. All that you sucked it up? Did I really guess you stood behind the wings, and because the wings are low, you're higher than you should be. You're up by the top of the wings. Well I was trying to bend down. Yes, but you gotta go in front of them and crouch down so it looks like you're an angel up now it looks like you're thoor, like you have wings coming out of your house. Now embarrassed, look at the picture. Yeah, that's not good. You're still putting it up and on social media because now people need to see I'm talking about Now you got to do it again. You have to go back there when people are looking. Right after this, we're gonna go back and do it. I need redemption, so I will tell everyone to get in front of the right after all that. You funked it up, so we after this podcast, we're gonna go take picture. You blew it it. I that was foolish and like you're hiding behind curtains, and I did it. I did it so fast because I just so embarrassed and I just got to get it and get it out. It would be even think of it. It would be like while Lizzo's doppelganga was taking her blouse off naked, I got a picture of her foot. Okay, look this girl was topless. Here's her foot right. Okay, So anyway, did you start your holiday shopping yet? Yes? I did? Uh? And now you know I'm adding um because I've been doing my early Amazon shopping. By the way, I do it early Amazon shopping all around. Uh. I do it on my desktop with the Honey plug in, which we've talked about, and it instantly tells me the coupons for the stuff I want. I just saved, uh for on a pair of sneakers that I didn't know we're on sale, So so thank you Honey. Yeah. Honey is a free browser extension, and what it does is it automatically finds the best promo codes whenever you shop online, but it does it in the background for you. It's brilliant. Um. So it's you could get deals on over twenty thousand sights like Amazon and eBay, j J, Crue, Sephora for the right. That's the that's the beauty. You don't have to go to like, oh, I'm gonna google coupons, I'm gonna google discount No, no, you just shop with the browser plug in, and when you go to buy it, it goes oh we found the coupon. We searched the whole internet for you. Here's the best cooper it is. But you have let Honey know you want it to do that for you, which is why you have to listen to how to sign up. Hey, this is Joe Gadda from a Practical Jokers and you're listening to two of my favorite idiots, the Brooklyn Boys with Brody and Scary. You know I told you I went to uh christening? No will you invited? And you just walked into one because I could see you doing that. It wasn't christening. What was it? A baby shower? Okay, what's so? What's I'm not gonna addit that like scars giving me the edit. I went to a baby the way we are in the backup studio where I run the board. We're not editing that. Fuck you damn righted. No, you went to Ay hate this studio. No, your problem is you don't like kids. No. I went to I. I thought it was a christening. Either either way, you weren't having fun whatever. It was like one of those one of those uh those things you do for babies, and you know, one of those ceremonies with his a lot of food involved. Anyway, it was it was a baby christening and it was for my brother, my brother and my sister in law. Was it a baby christening or a baby shower? A baby shower? Okay, because you say christening again, ship like a christening on the brain. You're just such a religious person. That's what it is. I'll eventually go to the christening. But it was, Um, I thought that showers are for women. No, a shower is for any excluse to give more gifts to people who have happy things in your life that you know you have a theory on this. So did you give your usual gift of a plate? No? I got one for No, I got one of those uh baskets that you carry the kid in with the handle a bassinet or or it was like one of those things. It's like a seat, a seat that can lay down. They could be comfortable in it. It hugs them and it has like a giant handle and you could you could like carry it you carry your kids and rocks. Rocks, but also you carry your kids like a picnic basket. Anyway, that's an appropriate gift. Do you remember what you got me from my first kid? Uh? Uh No, you got me a you got me it was a china plate and a fork. Oh, a porringer. I got you the parringer from Tiffany. Yeah, explain that. Explain a parringer. A parringer is like what they eporrigin in the olden days. No, it's beautiful. It was made of uh something glass. It was made of glass. It was yeah, and it was so it was actually um so they had that was like a bowl. It was a bowl and it was it was a plate. It was like a set. Yeah. Yeah. And it had like a been at a fork and this was a fork and it was fork. I think, yeah, yeah, so I got that for your first board. Right, So I said, scary, this is an interesting gift, and you said, what's wrong with it? It's it's Tiffany. I said, I know it's Tiffany because it's still in the box. Right, You're like, nothing but the best for you, Brody, I said, you understand it's a baby, right, it's a you buy a baby gift for a baby. Well, the fork is small. I figured that would be okay. You don't use a metal work for an infant, right, and like you don't. That's the kind of thing you put on the shelf, like It's like an ornament, like I have a kid. But you know, when you would give it to a kid, you don't, probably like SWASKI crystal, like the Berenstein bears on it or something. I don't. I don't remember what it had. The point was, you don't. That's a kid gift for a kid. So when I said that to you back then, I didn't know any So we went on the air and we ripped you for it, and then we'll like tease you for it. And then you know what you got me for my second kid? H nothing. You were so mad at me for the first gift. You didn't get me shipped for the second one. Remember that. Then after the third one, I said, hey, scary, you know you never got anything for the second one. You know I was only joking about the first one. You're like, oh okay, and it got me nothing for the third one. Nothing. I thought I should keep having kids until you get me something. I never got you something for yourself. You want me two gifts and a steak dinner. I don't have to do baby gift upday? Can we do the steak dinner on those glass plates that I bought for your first kid? There was one glass plate, and it's the worst new cuding. It was a second. You don't stick a sharp fork in a baby's mouth. So see, Okay, here's my problem and here's your problem. Some one problem I have, and that is because I am oblivious, because I don't plan on having kids, and I I'm not around kids very often. Um, I pretty much don't have I don't have this. This the knowledge to know how you know? Now as I in my adult years, I've learned how to give gifts better. So I'm buying the best inet, I'm gonna buy the crib, the high chair. Well, my kids in college, so why don't we put some money towards your tuition? Wow, but you can't go backwards. I got other kids that are popping out here, left and right. That's not my fault, man. They got a whole generation of kids that I'm buying gifts, just buying second kids in high school and graduate soon. So I've learned. I've learned from buying your kid the wrong thing. Yes, I'm glad that my kids could be here for you. You were the litmus test. And now I buy all the right gifts for children. I buy awesome. I buy clothing right right by everything I buy fancy sippy cups, say no, no sharp items. But the point is you you did ask me if my third daughter wanted a Swiss army knife and I said no, thanks. I was just I'm just saying, Brodie, you know I learned a lot. You have and you learn and that, and yes, I had a terrible time giving kids gifts because I just think you would have asked somebody like, hey, I'm Brodie had a kid, because I had the first kid on the show. I was the first one to have have kids, and so I was the guinea pig, right, I was the one who had the first child. You could have said somebody, hey, Danielle Um, what are you giving what you as it is? You funked up and said I had a boy on the air that day. Yeah, that was terrible. That was terrible, awful, awful. I called So we had the baby. We had my daughter on a on a on a Monday morning, my first daughter, and I called into the show. I said, hey, I really can't stay on the fall own. I just want to let you guys know we had we had the baby. We had we had a we had a girl, and I tell you the name and uh and the weight in case anyone care whatever. Blah blah blah blah. And then you go on the air and you're like, hey, congratulations to to Brody and his wife. They just had a boy. So and I only know that because relatives of mine started. I heard you had a boy, and I'm like, what are you talking about? Yeah, I heard on the radio this morning. Congratulations. Well alright, alright, alright, yeah that was pretty bad. How did that happen? Oh, it's I don't even know. It's a long time ago. So so seven months ago my brother said to me and he goes, is, hey, so we're gonna We're gonna have a boy. That's great. So now two months two months later, here I was the other day going to the baby shower, and I forgot is my brother having a boy or a girl? I just because well, they're not here yet. So it's hard to really, you have to to me. It's got to be in front of me. So like, there's only two choices. I know it is, but just remember the one anyway, didn't you Like, didn't you when you heard your your your your brother, I was your brother, your boy? You you're you're you're your guy. He's having a boy. Didn't you think, like, I wonder if he's gonna name him even junior? I wonder why I didn't that start going through your head like things that would remind you, well, you know what the ultimate remind what is your sister? He's two boys, So wouldn't you think another boy? Aren't these triggers that would go off in your mind? Even worse? Uh, this boy will be the one to carry on the family name because there's nobody else to do it, because my sister had two boys, but she you know, she too took her husband's name, right, so my brother, So this, this boy will carry on more reason why you should remembering. I know, yeah, you're right. Did you did your sister give the kids Italian names? Uh? Yeah? What are your nephews? Nico and LUKEA no, uh yeah, Nico and Lucas. Nico is for sure for what Nicholas Yeah yeah, Sonico is a Greek name. This boy is gonna be right, He's gonna be Jack. And by the way back, they threw it out there. So I'm like, that's pretty brazen of you guys. So that that's what I wanted to tell they want monogram stuff. They want you to buy baby gifts with their name on it. Ah, that's what that's what that is. That's why you get a rocking chat that says Jack on it. Uh, you get a Jack in a box? Yeah, jack in a jack. Well, the point the reason why I told you this because anyway, what I see this happened. If you had a boy, what would you name it? And you're not gonna right because that's my first name. That's awfully selfish. That's not because the other people do that. I get it. But you know I want Anthony Skiery the fourth. Okay, so you know you would give him a Talian name, right. Your sister's name is Jennifer, not Italian name, but she gave her kids Italian names. Yes, your brother Stephen, you claim that's not an Italian. It's not Italian name. It's not because it's not Stefano. It's Stephen with a V. It doesn't matter if it was pH maybe anyway, he So to prove my point, your brother Stephen, his name is kid jack as non Italian as possible. Well, well she's well she's not Italian. Sarah is not Italian? Oh, Sarah she wouldn't she tribe Sarah with no. Well, hold on a second. You don't whoa hold do you? Do? You not know how to spell your sister in law's name. Uh, there's no age. Sure it's positive, there's no age. Okay, not try you remember? Tried though, because you'd be like my family, right, we'll be getting her on the phone. I'll be bringing it to Adele's. Yeah. Oh by the way, but anyway, hold on. Next week, we're gonna have a chef on the phone, a kosher restaurant chef. I believe that I haven't spoken to them. Scotty just says he knows the guy. We'll put him on the phone. I will not prep him. I will talk to him. Nothing great, okay, anyway, go ahead. So so what I was saying was about the shower. Okay, first of all, I thought it was only women that go to showers. So my my um sister in law did a very cool thing my brother and said, you know what, we we want to just throw out all the rules of baby showers. Forget about you know when you go to Bridle showers, you play all those silly games and as all women. Sure, yeah, you went the doppy hats, right, and and and and everyone gets sex. Did you give them a sex toy that was bridal showers? No, I didn't, but baby showers. So hold on a second, So go to the baby shower, baby dude, please? Okay sorry, is that like a teething thing? Yeah? Uh so, So I always thought that women who go to baby showers, you know, they play those games. They drink out of baby bottles to see who could drink the liquor the south of them, and then they measure They say, okay, now we're going to take a tape measurer and measure the circumference of the belly and see you know, around her back to the front to see who gets the closest. And then they get a blank as they give away prizes. They have all these fun games. Apparently, so sister in law wanted to break the rules of the bride of the baby shower and decide, you know about the vadge game, right, No, the just is to play the vage game. The funk you're talking about? Okay, I know two women that have had they've done the vadge game. So women, is this what I'm thinking? Okay? So, yeah, traditionally, Traditionally, I'm not no, not casting any spersions. Traditionally, the bride to be has not had a child, traditionally, right, Traditionally a lot of you're talking about bridle showers now, not baby bridle showers, right right, sorry, traditionally getting everything confused to no, no, no, no, no, I'm getting to this. The bridle shower. Traditionally a lot of the other brides may have had kids. So they do the they do the measurement of the bride's vaginal area, okay, and then at the baby shower they measure it again after the baby's bought. Yes, they do. There's no Google the vadge game. Google right now, dude, I'm googling it right. There are people yelling at their phones right now, going they've done it. No fucking way, this, this is not This is why you're not married. You don't have kids. You don't know. What's it called? Theage game? Shut up? Google it, vadge game, batch baby Shadge game, the veage vage game, the game, go ahead, do you find it? No? What comes up? The vadge game bed bath and beyond. It's a sack race. No. No, the vagina game, Madge, the vedge scary Mommy, what is this? Yeah, that's it? No, should play the YouTube clip? Yeah, play thetube clip. No, this is a this is a spoof. Then that's not it. Put in bachelor, put in umu bridle shower, baby shower. It's the vadge game. All right, Okay, the vagina game. I bet you if you asked Robin, she's knows the vagina game. What bachelor's bridal shower, bile shower, baby shower, badge game. I don't. I don't believe you for a minute. By the way, I'm calling bullshit on this entire segment. Do do do um it's on Etsy vagina or what Bacheltte party game, crude party games? Um? Is it listed the vadge game. No, it's not. It's not listed. By the way, this person says, I do not accept returns exchange. I would hope you expect a return. You're not getting a return on the vadge game. Okay, Yeah, I don't know what this I'm looking at though. All right, well i'll show it's it's not popular. Whatever it is. Oh, it's it's okay, okay, so describe it. Just get to measure before you measure, to see who's who stretched the most. It's it's weird. I cannot believe that this goes on. Brodie, Well, why would it be a board game format? Isn't that just something that you like? I don't know there's a board games. You need an actual I've never seen I've never seen the board game Advanced to Go do not collect two dollars. No, I've never seen a board game version. I'm just telling you, this is what some of the games that you play. Okay, I'm I'm assuming that it's not a it's not a physical game that you have as pieces. Did a tape measure if it has pieces, it's broken? No, you need this the tape measure. Okay. So so then why would I find that you just want to there's no stories online. I don't think people admit to that. I don't. I don't believe that that exists. I'm gonna have to call your bluff. You call a woman in here, who's here your interns? That will go over well, I don't believe it. Call your sister. I'm not calling for this. Hey, diamond, Ali, diamond here comes diamond. Okay, at least not the alley's not here. No, we want to leave her in turns out of this one. Okay, all right, come here for a second please, Okay, okay, now listen. Ever been to one of them? Baby shower, a bridle shower or a baby shower? Of course, baby shower, baby shower. Okay, look at me here, look at me. Don't look at this guy because he's a fucker. Did you ever hear the vage game? Okay, Brodie is saying that there's a game that exists and bridle at the bridal party and at the bridle um, you know, in a bridle shower or a baby shower, where at the bridle shower they measure the length of the opening of the vagina, and then at a bridle shower and then at a baby shower they do the same thing. No. Never, Brodie is by the way, and she's been looking thank you. She's looking at me and not you, Brodie, so I know that she's Brodie. Can't wink at her. I'm not trying to wink at her. Is such a thing? Have you ever heard of such a thing? No? But maybe I could call a friend to see you want to do a phone of friend? Please? Is it something, Maybe it's a different name. Hold on, hold on, I don't believe this happened. Okay, so, by the way, you are but if the audience can't see this, but Brodie is closing his eyes and in a very serious smirk, I'm not sorry. Yes, because I know people who have done it. Who does this? Who plays this game? Do they do it in public? Or they go in a bathroom? Is somewhere she's calling her friend. Come on, what would be the purpose? And by the way, there's no winners. There's just losers to this game. There's no winners. Yes, you're not offended by uh lu talk? Are you okay? My name is Scary and I got Brodie and well we're live on the Brooklyn Boys podcast. If such a thing as possible, sort of such a thing, you're you're live live to tape. Okay. Are you familiar with going to bridal parties and baby showers? Bridle bridle was the baby showers? Yes? Are you a are you a bride? And do you have a child? Have you had a bridle shower yourself? I'm so confused. Have you had a bridle shower? But she's you've been to them and she's not gonna get offensive fence because all rights, is there such a game called the vadge game? Yes, thank you? What how do you play? Well? It depends. I feel like everybody has different rules. But I've heard of what do you know it to be? What? How do you play? How would you play that? I'm not sure I've heard of it, but I've never actually played it before. All right, they're saying this. One popular version of the madge game is they measure the length of vagina at the at the bridle shower and then they do it again for the baby shower to see, and they all play. They all compare to the differences to see what the difference is. This is intense. That's what I said. It doesn't exist, But my partner here doesn't exist. She says she's heard the game. Brodie is saying that this exists. It does. Thank you. I don't even know that girl. Thank you know happy people? Thank you? I don't wait, Desiree, have you have you seen it? Had ever done? I've heard of it. I've heard sorries about it. Thank you, Thank you? And just scary? Do I know, Desiree? Did I know you're gonna call her? In here and call her friend desiree, thank you, tellent, thank you. There you go. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, apologize, I apologize. I think you're trying to pull a fast one on me. Listen, my wife tells me stuff. So what kind of parties do they do this at parties when they say it's girls only, this is why it's as lesbian bridle. I don't ask those questions to and not having a penis party, not doing that, not paying the pen game, the pen fifteen game, not doing that. I don't know. Man, women listen, they go to the bathroom together. I know, but it just seems so it seems so intimate, it seems so in invading your space. I just don't think that women sit around hanging out drinking and then all of a sudden they just like pull out their badges. I don't think that is there a way to pull it out. I think if you're you're doing it wrong. If you pull it out, I think that expose it. I don't know what you want me to say. I just don't think that people sit around doing this. Speaking of exposing the privates and stuff, I had a will do the used jokes later, but I wrote a joke for Elvis to do when um Leslie Odom Jr. Was here from Hamilton's. You know, he does the commercial for Nationwide right Nationwide on your side, and then Elvis says, you know, you could probably other jingles, gonna a lot of money off jingles. He said you could do tampon commercials. So I wrote him a joke, and the joke was he should sing our tampons are on your inside, and he didn't want to do it. That's vulgar. Vulgar for a mass Peel morning show. Well, not vulgar for women who play the vage game. Definitely not those people want to go. By the way, if you've played this, tweet us at Scary John's, at David Brodie at the Brooklyn Boys hashtag vadge game. If you've heard of it or you've done it. Um, I don't think we're gonna get anybody here. Desire would have tweeted this is a global podcast. I'm not. And by the way, this is going to drive us into the top ten. This is I don't know, I don't know. Here's the thing, Brodie, I'm not trying to come down on it. I'm not trying yes, you are. I just can't believe that it exists. You can't believe you'd come down on it hashtag come down on it. No, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, I just I'm not judging. You're saying they're doing it. How often does Robin go your girlfriend Robins? She goes tow to bridle showers. Baby, I'll call her right now. She's probably at work. I don't I don't think they want Does she have told you? What do you think? It's like club number one rule of age game? Don't talk about age game? Mm hmm. I probably shouldn't have said just now that my wife told me it's really weird. So so your wife has been around it? No no, no, no, no, no, no no no. My wife was invited to one. She didn't go, and then her friend was like, you should have showed up. Look defense, what you do? Oh? I tell you hit your nuts? I hit my knee. Oh did you bang it on that? I bang my knee. I banged my knee. I'm not used to the studio. I banged my knee on the fucking the thing? The thing? What is this thing? Okay? Can I tell you over here? It's a leg. I'm standing where Elvis used to stand. There's a leg over here, and I was doing the walkers and talkers what Jamie last week, earlier in the week, and I hit that same spot over here and I went down hard. That's what she said. It's a big steel fucking leg to the table that shouldn't be here, and I went to go moved my chair and I banged my leg on it. That's not all Barty. I'm broken right now. You look broken. My bleating, I don't know you. Uh you want to reach some email? Yes, please, no, no, I want you to do something because, okay, I gotta r I gotta the clip. I'm gonna play a clip that I got, this one on one of my famous clips from recording me in my car. I gotta rub this out. Oh, don't do that here, don't do that here. That doesn't sound right to play the clip. Hold on clip. I'm sorry. I have a badge game on the brain. You have to listen to this three times to hear these. Okay, now tell me if this makes any sense. Warning. If you're drowning in debt you can't afford, do not let the credit card companies trick you. Into. Okay, this is a company that you pay if you have a lot of credit card debt, they will negotiate your credit card debt down and they'll tell you you don't have to pay the debt. Will will negotiate it, you don't have to pay. But this is what the guy says. Listen carefully warning. If you're drowning in debt, you can't afford. If you're drowning in debt, you can't afford. Do you know anyone who drowns in debt? They can't afford. So that means the answer is everybody listening to this commercial that has pick one of the two. It's redundant. Either you're drowning in debt or you're not well, you have debt you can't afford. But if you're drowning in debt, it's assumed you can't afford it. Okay, that's all that pissed me off. Okay, pick that's what we do here the Brooklyn Boys podcast. All Right, you got email? I do that sounds like it's I will say this, you've got mail. The next time someone hears that stupid commercial, they're gonna help their radio and go that's dot so hey, what episode did we call this one of five? We called it one oh four? One five? Did I say one on five? I hope I did, because this person is referencing episode one oh four. I thought I said one on four today. But anyway, Yeah, this person says, uh, this is Andrew Meyer writing into the Brooklyn Boys Podcast at gmail dot com. Email us the Brooklyn Boys Podcast at gmail dot com. You might get your email read um. Last episode number one oh four had been cracking up more than any other. The discussion about a goat wearing its fur was hilarious. Yeah, was that in one oh four? Oh that was we were talking about. I thought it was one oh three. We were talking about Pete mccotton, And I made a joke, is that like a fancy sheep? And and I I know that cotton has grown it doesn't grow on sheeps or goats. Yeah, it's wool from sheep. It was just a joke, and I didn't over Yeah, go ahead. We got a message from Ashley. Ashley wanted to say hey, Brooklyn Boys. Wanted to say today it's my birthday. Well that was yesterday, November Uh, and and I hate having hate having my birthday during the work week. But this morning I realized this is a great birthday because I'm getting the best present ever, a new bought podcast from the Brooklyn Boys. That was we disappointed her on her birthday because today's Friday when we're recording this, and we were supposed to release this yesterday on our birthday. Uh, don't let me down, guys. Sorry we did hashtag Slice for Life. That's Ashley and the laney Burgos wrote dil what my husband and I received the fundraising catalog from a family member and can I just say, what the dil? It looks like oh dilh dil flavored popcorn and zesty ranch dil gl This popcorn will fool your taste buds into a juicy crunch deal pickle jree. This popcorn has a perfect pickle flavor, good enough to please even the most picky pickle lover for sounds like poopcorn. For fifteen dollars, you get one gallon of re salable. I'm gonna do is sell it, okay, and then hold on someone sent me a recipe for flavorful mantster ball. I'll tell you who wasn't the second I apologize, that's okay, I'm sorry. I don't have it here about, but thank you. And the ingredients for flavorful mantster balls they have leak, parsley, uh, carrots, turnips, onions, and then it says two table spoons of snipped fresh dill, to which I said, that's their recipe. Doesn't make it good. Now look at this picture, scary. Look at that soup. What colors the soup? It's it's orange and white. It's golden, gold, yellow and the yellow. Right, So if there's dill in there, it's not so much dill that it's green. It's hidden. Thank you, right all right? From Matt Pike. Tell right here in the village on Bleaker Street, from the posh pop bake shop. Love the show, the pie Guy, love the show Slice for Life. Hope Brody isn't getting scary sick because totally missed not have the show last week. We missed Bertie too. Anyway, I own a bakery right here down the street from you guys pop bake shops. Love to bring you both some free dessert in the form of pie for your holiday show, apple pumpkin, apple, cherry pecan, how about one of h alright, so then, um, should we let him deliver us some pie. We'll have to figure out the timing on that unused punch lines. Uh from Kevin Kazlaski, he writes to us a lot. I agree that jokes are better if Anita is laughing under me. But but, but but scary to loud? No, he said, I did not think the laugh was too loud. Tell these listeners to check their volume on their own podcast, however they receive our podcast anyway. Grammar Police jingle is uh, the Grammar Police jingle is always too loud? Are those played from that specific computer you mentioned? He's a trouble scary you You you handle the volume on the show most of the time, mostly Tyler Dudley, Hey, Brody and scary. I hate you already. I'm kidding. I started listening to episode one O four, how to Stop to Email you when I heard the argument about guns and roses. Hold that thought, bole, that's what a nice volume sounds like him. Okay, thank you, I heard the Okay, I talked about guns and roses. I'm three. Jesus Brody, that was you. I was twenty three, and I was raised and was raised around all types of metal and rock music. I have to agree with Brody that Guns and Roses is not the same as Warrant. Okay, I know that, and I will continue to make my case that I understand that as well. I'm a forty five year old guy. I get it. I was speaking to people today that are in there, mainly in their twenties, that were not raised the people in twenties. But the problem is this, even though he's twenty three, it's not typical to be raised around all types of metal and rock music. Are talking about the mainstream everyday listener person who's in their twenties. They will blend it all together, as are millennials. So so you, so you saying Vicky is wrong? Vicky Janks says, My thirty one year old husband looked aghast when I asked him if Guns and Roses was a hair band. And it's still trying to figure out how anyone could think they sound the same. Hashtag Scary's wrong. Slice for life. Well, he needs to keep up to what what's going on in the world today and that is, you said twenties and thirty year olds would he needs to go to a bar of something and talked to a bunch of people. Some people thought we'd say ague too long about this, so let's not do it again. Let's not do it all right, not even gonna not even addressed. I got a few more. Okay, this one's way too long. They got a free dessert from Amazon. Uh and we were not going to go there, right, but we love thats okay. Oh, this this one says for Brody b r O d I E. Thank you Jared Blake already b r O d Y. First off, yes, I still do have a hotmail account, and now that is out of the way. I've been listening to the main show and the podcast since zero, but for the past few months, Scary has continued to mention that his continuous eating and lack of motivation is all to blame because he is fourth quarter Scary. I know you are the king of parodies, and the Spittle parody based on Scary is great. Oh yes, I was thinking of the Mede Day on another parody that I kind of wrote a little bit. It is called It is based on the Carly Ray Jensen. Nope, Carl ree Jepson song Call Me Maybe, but I called fourth quarter scary. I hope it seems funny and I like to bash, always like to bash on scary, so I'm fine with that. Jared wrote the song so we could play Carly Ray Jensen Jepson, uh, and we could see what you think of his parody because he wrote about he wrote it. He wrote two verses, Well, I'll say the chorus is gonna sound rush because it's five syllables instead of original four call Me maybe as four. Fourth quarter scary is five and it doesn't flow as well. But if he did fourth fourth, you know fourth quarter scary, it's it's rushing it. Well, I mean, what you want to play this song? He sent the audio? No, he no, we we could sing. I'll sing it for you. No, I can get it recorded. We can say what comes out. I think we should do that. We'll do that. Speaking of which I have not for this week because he's not here, I have recorded an intro for Spruce. Wow. Did I tell you that? Now? You didn't know? By the way, Vincent Wagner said that Brodie was wrong on episode one or two. I gotta go don't you want to know why you were wrong about the During the intern resumes, Brody was talking about the applicant that knows the show well, but had Brody listed number nine, eighth and ninth. Yeah, Brody mentioned that Froggy's in Miami, but he's not. He's in Jacksonville. We know that hit the jingle. Brodie is wrong. Speaking of jingles, you can hit Scary's inappropriate product endorsement jingle too. I took a weekend trip to NYC from Tampa over a weekend to go to the Baine Haunted House. It was good for a haunted house. I've been to others, and so far I like this one the best. It was just as Scary had described it. You get separated right away, but you can meet up later into in the house. All right, why did you read this? Guys with the nun with the room with the nuns was creepy, nothing really scary though too much, way too much. We got it. He had fun, We got it. So he described the experience and said he had a great time thanks to me and my endorsement of Baine Haunted House. Anyway, I got to New York Bagel's while I was there. Yeah, thanks to scary promoting Baine. Thank you cousin. Enough we got it. He went to the Haunted House. Can I read some now A right? Uh? My friend Lonnie Spicer not my friend. He's a friend of this show and Annam Walkers and Talker's friend, so he's my friend. I have to give my inner David Brodie credit for this photo. It's his wife sitting at the bar with a couple of drinks. We mostly finished breakfast when a roach came by, called the staff over. I guess he's in the South at the moment. That's a flashback of listening in order. Called the staff over. Mayhem ensued, the roach was killed. Uh, and I asked for for free dessert for our troubles. They gave us free drinks, So congratulations Brittany, Brittany Underscore and Lane. She says, I need a button similar to the Staples button, and instead of that was easy, I would like it to say I would like to have David Brody saying fuck you in certain name here, So she would like a fuck you button with my voice. Thank you? Uh. Devezzi one two three on Instagram. This is what they posted on the picture. I put up of the soup that Amy made for me. Scotty's wife, Amy made me real mats of bal soup with regular egg noodles, carrots, nothing else and some chicken. All right, he wrote udal fuck o regano fox gallions kind of like Agano. Gotta be honest with you. Uh, they're not They're not vegetables. Uh, don't tweet me? And how is a second ju lunch of steak dinner? Hit the jingle? All right? So hold on, I got hold uh a v I one NYC sent me a chart of peppers uh that I forwarded to scary. Uh and it's explains the vitamin C and A content and the flavor breakdown of red, orange, yellow, and green peppers, which, by the way, Danielle said you were wrong about scary and uh bravo three says guys. I'm listening to the Malt Liquor episode which was last week Monday with Spruce right now, and I gotta say I love Spruce. When he enters the room, I know the funny is going through the roof love that dude. His laugh had me laughing. He's the best, so we love him. Hold on, Oh tin Man one thirty one says David Brodie, are you feeling better? Also, in general, you are always right and Scary is wrong. Brooklyn for Life. Hashtag Flatbush um oh, Bob breuha loved. We were making fun of you for endorsing everything on the fifteen minute Morning Show and you yelled, don't paint me into a corner and I yelled, hey, And if you need paid high, I'm Scary Jones. He I love that. Uh. And today I have to call you out on something you said on the Big Show today because I cannot fathom you didn't know this, And I apologize. If you're listening to this podcast and you didn't know it, that's fine. I don't know you. It's okay you didn't know it. I just don't know how Scary didn't know it because he works in this industry and we constantly reference cow bells. We've all seen the SNL sketch more cowbll cow. We have a cow bell in the studio that we bang all the time, and it's never a card to Scary. Let me let me preface this by saying that I grew up in the city, so I grew up in the same neighborhood and yes, I knew that cow. I knew that it was called cow bell because it was a cow. Cows war bells around their next. What I didn't know was the reason why they did it. But it was just like a decoration or something. So you thought they just put giant bells around cows. Okay, And I found out today on the show that that in Switzerland because our friends at M E Cheese came up. And you think it's only Switzerland that does this. What you're about to say, well, when our friends at M E Cheese came up, they decided to use the US. Yes, I made to not cool part really loud, so just say the cheese people, the cheese. The cheese people came up and they donated a cow bell and the cows were were around their next an authentic one, and they said yeah. I said, well, why do they even put cow bells on cows? And they said, well, because they know in the olden days they didn't know where they were. Now I guess they just what do they do? They put like they put some kind of chip in them so they know where they're roaming out, have no idea if they get up in the middle of the night and they start walking off if they write so, so if they leave you and they start like, they make noise, so you know where they are at all time. That's your impression of a cow cock co kunk, right, But I don't think horses make any no Cows make any noise walking in the grass. But I wanted to say. When I said that on the air and I made that stunning admission, people texted in, oh my god, mind blown, um high, I'm raising my hand here, I'm with scary. I had no idea. Yeah. In fact, some people took it even further and said they didn't even realize cow weere cows wear bells. They didn't associate the instrument with an actual thing that they put around the cow's neck. At least I knew that much, But so listeners were like, I hadn't even so they thought it was like monkey bars, where the monkey bars monkeys don't wear the bars. They just called monkey bars like they sometimes you just don't put two of two together. And you've never seen a movie where someone's working on a farm and they've come on Bessie and saying gonna couch people. I knew that part of it, but I didn't know that that they got lost anyway, whatever, give me the ground police jingle? Why grand I got some Cara police, grab a pololice, grab a police police police. I have one. So this one comes from Adam Kaufman. Um, Hey, scary and brody grammar police and this is this guy like what he did in the subject line g R A M M E R police. Not's irony, huge fan of the show. Hey scary, Uh check this out? Uh scary and Brody says he said, Hey, scary, scary, but scary and Brodie. I don't like him. I saw this at a diner on the Upper east Side the other day. Oh no, it was a handwritten sign and its head free fried shrimps and fries fried shrimps. Yeah not sorry. Yeah, well you know what, you need to change that sign. Here's the thing. Though fake shrimps is now acceptable, it used to not be. Yeah, maybe the sign is referring to multiple types of shrimps and then it's okay. But it used to be shrimp was plural for shrimp. Yeah, but I think shrimps is acceptable now the same way. Ain't in ginormous or work. I saw a haircutting place in Staten Island the other night, and it said the sign said there was a permanent sign to it said men's m E n s ladies and children's awful sign, and there's a permanent sign is the children's apostrophees It was Highland Boulevard. It was it was a haircutting place. Forgot the name of it. Here's the first of all, if you're gonna use ladies, then you use gentlemen. If you're gonna say men, you use women. It's men, women, ladies, gentlemen. But the sign first of all was wrong because it had men, ladies, children. But then they said ladies, and then they said men's amy n s and children's. Men is already plural. You don't need an S there, and children's is also plural. Children is also plural. You don't need the S there. It was the worst sign ever. I can't believe the signmaker allowed that. Uh and one more and this might not fall under grammar, but it's certainly something to talk about. I was looking for the clip in the computer of Chef from South Park saying hello children's but we can't find it. Where are my little crackers today? I got one? You wanna do you gus first. Um, yeah, this is more and this is you could wait. I'm perfect volume one more time. Rema police police pH alright, what's upoking boys? Hashtag Brody's always right. I was listening to the Big Show today. I was listening to The Brick Show today on ten seventeen, and while talking about owning houses, Elvis said something about a hot water heater breaking. It's not a hot water heater. It's just a water heater. If the water was already hot, it wouldn't need to be heated. Hashtag granted police. I work in the h back field and this is a huge pet peeve of mine. Hopefully you read this. I love the podcast. It makes my long drives between job sites easier. Hashtag listen in order, Thank you. Jimmy Warner, Um, he's right, he is right. Part of the ATM machine scandal saying here's what I'm gonna say. This is white milk Steve, Steve, White milk Steve. Comedian named Stephen Wright made that joke in the late seventies early eighties. He said, shouldn't appear a cold water heater, right, or just a water heater or a water heater. It should be a water right. I believe. But that's not Elvis incorrectly saying a hot water heater, and he should know better, because each fact guy should know better. No, it actually is called a hot water heater, so in saying it, you can you can lead the march and trying to get that changed. But you can't blame Elvis for being wrong. If it's actually called a hot water heater, it's redundant. Um. But I believe it's a heater that gives you hot water. Peter, I don't even know her, right, it's like which I think there was another analogy I give you uh now, I mean uh, dryers, dry washing machines, wash heater's heat. Heater's heat. It's a heater, but it could be other it could heat other things, so it should be a water heater. It should be, but they didn't name it, however, invented it named it that. Um. We got a tweet from Dave with a lot of numbers after his name. I'm gonna assume it's a social Security number, Dave, it's not. He says, this email makes my head hurt, and it says this is from his job. They send out a court an email all all stay the elevator will be out of commission for an hour or two or less. How long is that? It could be an hour, it could be two hours or less. Now less than two, which would be one or less than one or two hours, So I don't know. We don't know. So is it like one and a half or is it forty five minutes? Terrible? Following guests terrible? I would quit my job quite some sound for you from e J. Hey, this is Joe Gaddam from Practical Jokers and you're listening to two guys from the second best borrow in New York. After stating, of course the Brooklyn Boys was scary and brody, I feel like I should have read at least one or two more. Uh, I'm gonna say it's a listener email. I was just brought back to the deal. Well not back to the deal, but this got me very upset. Carrie s Hedges sent me a lovely tweet. She said, just now listening to episode eighty nine, and you mentioned me and this tweet, which it was an earlier tweeting the conversation totally unexpected. Love the podcast at the Brooklyn Boys. So I wrote back, oh, episode eighty nine, enjoy the next fifteen episodes, and so I was like, oh, you know what, I'm trying to think, like, what's episode eight nine? What's in store for her? What's in the two balls of crap? Is coming up? Where they left up my nachos? Like good stuff is coming up? She writes back. Actually, I'm listening backwards on the heart radio app. So I wrote back, now, please don't listen backwards. iPhone lets you go in the right order. Android option is coming soon. Way too many jokes about previous stuff. Hashtag listen in order, And as she wrote back, I'll have to listen on a different app or on my desktop. Because okay, that's fine. You gotta started zero. You can't start because here's the problem. Let's say you start with episode one oh three or this one one five. Right now you're listening for five or six weeks. Right now you're an episode ninety, but now we're an episode one ten. Now you're missing the current stuff. You gotta start from the beginning, go in order. You have to, because then what do you do go back and then go back and start reversing a nightmare. It's a nightmare. You can't you can't do that. You're killing us. You're killing us, You're killing us. You can't do that. Um, I got something that we haven't done in a while. What's that? Uh? I had? I had a real problem this past weekend. I went to a place that was closing. There this one location, and it's a place that sells bed stuff, bath stuff. Okay, so I go and I buy some new sheets. I got them for a few dollars. I had a great deal. And the places a war zone. The place is just destroyed, and you know there's people who are picking through. They're buying open stuff and broken stuff because it's cheap. And I found some stuff that was like the stuff I wanted at the price I wanted it. So I go and I pay for my stuff, and I go to push the door to get out, and uh, there's an old woman with me. She's trying to push the door. It doesn't open. So it's got an emergency exit on it, right, So I pushed the emergency door and the manager comes running over and he says, hey, man, those doors slide open, and I said, no, they don't, and he said, well that's because I powered off all the stuff because we're closing in a few minutes. So I said, then they don't slide open, right, you just told me they slide open. He's yelling at me for pushing the emergency bar to open the door so that I, as well as the old lady can get out of the store. And that is the correct grammar. I can get out and the old lady get out. I and the old lady right can get out of the store. So he says, well, normally they slide open, and I said, well that's great, but they don't slide open because you turned the power off. So I wanted to get out and no one was here. He said I had to take care of something. I would have come over had you asked, sir, So I said, guess what. I don't want to have to ask. I didn't know where you are. I wanted to leave the store. This lady wanted to leave the store. On the door, it says push, so I pushed. How would anyone know not to push when the door says push. So he says, well, that's in case of an emergency. I said, guess what. It was an emergency. Our emergency wanted to get the funk out of your store. He says, you're he says, he says, you're berating me for trying to get out. I said, I said, you're braiding me for trying to get out because you locked the door. You fucked up. You can't legally lock the door. He said, you shouldn't have pushed the door, Sir, I said, you know it's a fire hazard right to lock the only exit to your store, to lock people in. You know that's illegal, right. So he looks at me and he says, well, it's only illegal if somebody would have find out. So I said, hey, Kevin, guess what, Kevin, Your bosses and your regional managers are gonna find out Kevin, because you locked the doors. And he says to me, well, we're going out of business anyways. This location is closing, and I don't know where i'll be working. I said, I know where you won't be working. The place that sells betting bad stuff. And beyond, fuck you, Kevin, because you can't lock the door. And then he yells at me and says, oh, you shouldn't push it. Won't you have done the same ship the fucking door, says, Push says right. The old ladies like pushing like, you know, frail like. So I come over like the good Samaritan, and I go to push the door to help the little old lady. And Kevin comes over and he says, excuse me, sir, don't push the door. It slides. Well, why didn't it slide? I turned the power off. You know why. They wanted to get out of there quickly. They didn't want anybody coming in one of those nine closing and they're like, oh, we have turned the power off so nobody can get I think six o'clock on a Sunday. It was running that time early, and so I'm like, I'm like, you know what. So I say, Kevin, I've managed restaurants before, I've managed businesses. I managed tell stores. If you don't want more people to come in than you, I said, you put one of your staff on the door. And they they let people out right, and they tell people that can't come in. He says, well, I'm short staff tonight. So I said, because nobody wants to work for you, Kevin, Because you're an asshole, Kevin. You lock people and you walk away. Hey, maybe cover up the sign that says push or I said, maybe put a sign that says I'll be right there, called Kevin if you want to go home. I wanted to go home to put my new sheets on the bed because they got him for like four bucks, and I know, wash them first. I was gonna wash them. Do you imagine this guy's telling me I'm wrong and then he's like, I don't care because I'm not working here anymore. Fuck you, Kevin. Yeah, there's no way you would have stood at that door waiting for manager. There's gotta be a lot of people out there working for guys like Kevin, and and I feel bad for them. Is there a chance in hell you would have stood there. I know, I know the kind of person he is. He's like, I'm the manager guy, Man, I'm in charge of this. It's my eye of the power. No, you turned the power off, Kevin. And he makes me feel bad. And the old lady was like looking at me like I was her hero, because I was. She could have died. She could have died right there. She gotta pushed that had a heart attack. What if from medication was in the car. I saved that woman's life. Kevin. By the way, the smell of cheese has finally made its way to the studio. Did you fart? No, they the cheese from this morning? You know, they made a wheel of cheese of me. Did you see that? Yeah, so they made like a two pounds. I'm gonna put the picture up. I don't know, man, it's a carving. It's a carving of your face inside wheel of cheese. She looked like Parma John Reggiano, but I learned later found that it was did Jean Reggiano. But it's Stephen. That's what I'm gonna call people, whore fake Italians Stevens. Anyway, uh So, all of a sudden, the Jersey Kids stops by. Yeah, I put a picture up by the way. By the way, you may notice the picture I put him up on Instagram. I didn't tag him again that I can't tag him, yeah, because it has the radio station in his name. Yeah, he changed. Imagine if I changed my name to David to David Brodi's one hundred or David Brodie Alvistran right, he wouldn't want to tag me. He wouldn't want to promote his old show. Why would I tag him? You understand I'm not gonna tag Greg t his new radio station name. So every time people click on it, this on this podcast. He's a Jersey kid. By the way, he's on the Very Good Carolina with Greg t show. Really, I hear the first few minutes of it every day. I love it. And uh he So he came here in disguise. Yeah, picked through the rest of our food. Yes, he was glasses and a hat. Check at David Brodie'll see the picture. And then and then and then he fucking takes the sixty five sixty pounds by the way, sixty five pound wheel. That's fourth quarter, scary wheel of cheese in the first quarter, that would be and he wheels it down the hallway. What did you do with it? It hasn't come back. So we were talking when you were in the room before before he came down. Cheese go, do you remember what we did head my cheese? Cheese? Do remember when? Do you remember when Cake Boss made a giant head of Elvis Rann and cake? It was rice crispies and cake and we all had sex with the head, like pretend sex and took video and pictures and everything. So we were joking and if he still worked on our show, he would have sex with the cheese face or do horrible things to it, like take a poop on it, so that he came by we didn't call him and took the wheel of cheese. But where did he put it? It's gone, it's it's three hours later. The joke is over. People. I don't know what he did to it, but I have a feeling. I have a feeling. We'll see video of it. And by the way, are you an apology? Because I was talking to you for like thirty seconds before I realized it was actually the wheel of cheese and it wasn't you. I apologize, But the cheese was The cheese was impressive. I think it looked it looked like it looked like year old. It looked that it looked like like your cousin, Like, oh, it's scary. Is cousin made of cheese? I gotta stand up on my knee? Is killing me? Yeah, you're you're a mess. But we're still taking a picture with the wings in the park under the now alright, I'm gonna hit the jingle before you can promote the cheese place. There we go. I want to get h right now because I'm gonna be driving to Brooklyn. Boys Brooklyn, Brooklyn Boys, Brooks
Yeah. We love you too so much since day one? Startup? Startup Slice for Life And what it is is a picture of um dill pickle gluten free. Um. Lopez wrote to us on the Facebook fan page you know at the Brooklyn Boys said, Hey, guys, I listened to episode one oh three and I love Anita's laughed so much. I wanted to share this video with you guys because her laugh reminds me of this guy's laugh. So e J from California. Here is the YouTube clips. Mae, cue it up man to YouTube video. You can't cue it up and send it money to get to eat his last the intermediar you got, yeah, drop it you get more? Okay? Apparently that sounds like an either. He's still going. This guy goes on forever and never do you remind you of any of Anita? That was? That was kind of close? Would you say slightly? What's okay? Alright, Anita, are you she smelled good?
